- 0:01[SPEAKER_01]: Who were your biggest standouts from the second week of OTA's offensive and defensive players?
- 0:07[SPEAKER_01]: We are going to name those here this afternoon on here.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_01]: The cannons along with two, one of the rookies being named one of the biggest draft steals a couple weeks into OTA's.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_01]: We're also going to talk about him quite a bit on this episode.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_01]: I do believe we've also got Chris Godwin and going a little bit further into his comments about not knowing that Mike Evans was going to the 49ers.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_01]: To actually get confirmation on a pretty funny comment there on that also too.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_01]: We're getting some projections right now of Ruben Bane his sack total Do we agree with it?
- 0:40[SPEAKER_01]: Do we think it's more less?
- 0:42[SPEAKER_01]: Interesting to get these thoughts and here along with two the chat as well.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_01]: We've got some price picks to make here with some F1 coming up and also too
- 0:51[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to talk about a bold prediction that was made regarding Baker Mayfield and his potential future contract with the Tammy Buck Knir's with me this afternoon as River Wells are lead editor at bucksamey.com and all the way to the other side is Caleb Skinner, our veteran writer at BG.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: Gentlemen, it's always good to come on here and chop it up and talk some ball with you guys.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_02]: Always ready.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_02]: Second league of OTA is going to 3rd off season ramping up, which is always really exciting.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_02]: So curious to see what your guys thoughts are on on some of the topics we're talking up today.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, some interesting things to speak on.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: We two OTAs continue to get deeper and deeper into this offseason training program.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: And before you know, it will be a training camp and just ready man, ready to see what these guys are ready to do and ready to put on the field.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: And
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: how the coach of staff is going to come together and be able to put them in advantageous positions.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, 100% before we get started though, I want to go a little bit further into here real quick.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_01]: We don't really do this as much certainly earlier in the show, but I want to give a special shout to everybody that has been hitting that subscribe button as of late.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_01]: We've seen some crazy growth.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_01]: If you look down here at this graph, I mean we have seen a lot of growth down there, moving upwards and fast.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_01]: And so
- 2:04[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate y'all enjoying the coverage of OTAs.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_01]: We have a ton more including we've got mandatory mini camp coming up here soon as well in a few weeks but still nonetheless you guys show on some love even with y'all just hitting the like button and engaging in the comments bring up some topics that we can also bring up on the screen and share with you guys give our thoughts it's been awesome just been great to see the growth there from a lot of you joining if you're new here
- 2:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we go live at least once a week.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_01]: We do instant reaction to OTAs.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_01]: We'll have instant reactions to every day of mandatory mini cam.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: And once we get in the training camp, that's where I feel like that's where we deliver the best.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_01]: We give you guys instant reactions right after we get done talking with Todd Bowles and the player interviews we jump over get a tripod going.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_01]: and we talk about a lot of things and training camp is one of our favorite times of the year.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_01]: So highly suggest you hit that sub button.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_01]: If you are new, but maybe we got to earn it.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_01]: And so gentlemen, let's go ahead and earn it right here.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go ahead and start.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we got to earn it.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_02]: We can't just be over here.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_02]: Just help us.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_02]: So again, there are thanks to our returning guys too.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_02]: We got bad W446 made it live.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_02]: And then that's right.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_01]: Seeka from Soviet.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_02]: Chica.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_02]: Seeka from Soviet.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_02]: Let me know how to pronounce that.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_02]: But I always appreciate you tuning in from across the water.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_01]: absolutely shout to our recurring viewers as always.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate you on it.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: Like I said, if you have any questions or topics, don't in the chat.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_01]: We'll bring it up on the screen for you guys.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_01]: Well, let's go and get started.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_01]: Let's get started with offensive and defensive players from week two of OTAs River, you and I were there.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_01]: Caleb can certainly comment on these as well as.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_01]: He gets informed on all of this stuff going on through our chats and such, but I would say let's go and start with offense What a defense next river to me and it might be different for you, but someone that's set out to me the most is probably bower sharp So if you haven't yet go listen to our instant reaction from that OTAs, but
- 3:55[SPEAKER_01]: There was a situation where Devon Colp had to leave the practice early, kind of got dinged up their lower leg injury of some sorts, nothing to be severe.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_01]: He ended up walking back out there had to sleep on his leg, but it allowed for a guy like Bauer Sharper rookie tied into jumping there.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_01]: and take advantage of the opportunities that he was given in sure enough.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_01]: He did, he made a really nice grab on a deep pass.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know who that, maybe it was from Browning.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_01]: It could have been also to Jalen Daniels as well.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know who threw it, but still nonetheless, it was right on the sideline deep and had to really launch in the air to grab it.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_01]: And it was the catch of the day from him.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_01]: And I thought just offensively he was one that really stood out.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_01]: Because right now, you're not going to see running back stand out
- 4:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be really hard to kind of evaluate some of the other guys in the trenches and such, but when you're talking about offense and scope players, there's no pads on, you're going to look at guys that are scope players, but I thought Bauer Sharp is one to me, feel free to name another one to River if you have one.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, for sure.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_02]: It was a great catch from Bauer Sharpen.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_02]: That's kind of what you want to see from him early on in OTAs, right?
- 5:04[SPEAKER_02]: Because the reason they drafted him was because of his athletic build, his prowess really high, a relatively less core guy at the NFL combine, right?
- 5:12[SPEAKER_02]: So, needs a lot of polish in the way that he blocks from his route, et cetera.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_02]: But you get him for the huge athletic upside that he brings the team in the six round there and
- 5:21[SPEAKER_02]: If he makes plays like that, that'll be how he makes a team, right?
- 5:24[SPEAKER_02]: So he'll be competing with Devon Colp tight end for that sort of move tight end spot on Timberbe's roster.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_02]: Right now, as you mentioned before on Tuesday, when we did our after show, Colp kind of had a little bit of a, it looks to be some sort of medical issue, we'll go into the field, kind of really minor thing that made him not finish practice, right?
- 5:43[SPEAKER_02]: But though both be competing for that spot there, and
- 5:47[SPEAKER_02]: I think Sharps looked pretty strong so far his first few days that we've been able to see.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_02]: Um, you know, I thought Chris Godwin got the brun of the reps last week.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_02]: But on Tuesday, the Mechak Buka was getting in some work for sure.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_02]: And um, he's at a big second year.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to make that jump.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_02]: He had a bit of a hamstring injury himself in weeks six of last season.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_02]: It's a 49ers and couldn't quite bounce back from that yet.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_02]: So.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_02]: That's something that a lot of Bucks fans, a lot of punnants are really excited about seeing him kind of make that second jump, perhaps being at Wisever 1 for the Buccaneers and speaking of which the buzz on Jalen McMillan is increasing as we go throughout the offseason a lot of, you know, people been talking about how good he's looked a lot of, you know,
- 6:33[SPEAKER_02]: chatter on the team that he's been looking pretty good so I think that'll be another wrinkle that will be interesting when it comes to what the books do.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_02]: So a lot of things to watch at OTA is we've got one more week next week, Tuesday and the manager, I mean, you can't talk about for that on the 16th, but it's mentioned exactly so far.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, though that I would say Bauer is one as a rookie
- 7:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it is in the consistency I think you're seeing from Mekka Buka as sharp at what you exactly.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_01]: What we saw early on, it was the same way with Jaila McMillan when he first arrived.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_01]: Like those newcomers seem to flash well, but now they're guys that have been on this team for while not exactly in this system as this is just a revolving door in Tampa with new offensive coordinators, but you get the point.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_01]: These guys have been the league now for more than just a year.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_01]: So you want to see these strides being made more chemistry being built with Baker Mayfield,
- 7:30[SPEAKER_01]: and such.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_01]: But those are the guys that stood out to us offensively.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_01]: And we too now, you know, Caleb, you can comment on this when we go to the defensive side of the ball.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_01]: And I think the number one guy.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_01]: And I would say almost kind of was the guy in week one if we did this same type of segment, but defensive player that I was standing out to me was Benjamin Morrison.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_01]: He was the kind of the big hot topic right after we wrapped up practice.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_01]: And
- 7:56[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he came away with a really nice interception.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_01]: He bit on the route that Chris Godwin was running.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_01]: Chris Godwin even gave him some praise after the practice and said he just made a really good play on that ball would have been a pick six as well.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_01]: He almost had another, it's almost the same type of route two and week one where he all has grabbed that interception river, but it was dropped and you just knew it was coming right there.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_01]: Baker Mayfield had a
- 8:21[SPEAKER_01]: at a pump and then he threw it and you know we've seen that happen for Baker Mayfield and games but big uh, Benjamin Morrison took advantage of it.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_01]: We too got that interception just seems like he's playing in a really sharp uh mental state right now going into year two and healthy.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's probably the big part of this.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how Ben from Morrison kind of gets it the forefront, especially because There's kind of a competition there in that room, right?
- 8:48[SPEAKER_02]: You've got Zion McCallum who we also talk to out there Tuesday, and then now Jacob Parrish is bounce from the nickel spot to the outside.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_02]: So that's going to be a pretty big battle for who kind of gets the dominant share of reps among those three guys.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_02]: There's two of them that will and Benjamin Morrison already making his claim to kind of do that.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_02]: Zion told us after practice that they've got a competition going for interceptions and that.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_02]: Fendry Morton's up one on him.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_02]: So that's a good way to start and he had the skills and college and that instinct I think to make it at the NFL level and he showed a little bit of that last year based struggle with injuries
- 9:38[SPEAKER_02]: what we saw from him last year was largely because he was still recovering from a lot of college injuries and this year healthy.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_02]: Having a year to just be a part of the team and not doing a combat stuff, you know, that could be pretty big for him.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_02]: So they needed to step up.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_02]: They want to step up and if he's making plays like that in the off season, you know, throughout mid and training camp throughout training camp, he'll definitely make a claim to be one of those two
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you can see the playmaking ability in him, right?
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: Like going back to what last training camp where we were in the door for somebody actually and like he had made a gap on on one point.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to start the ball and then immediately turn around and came away with a new reception on Baker Mayfield.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_00]: Like you could see that that's there, right?
- 10:29[SPEAKER_00]: all hinged on his conditions of his hips, things of that nature.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully he's gotten a little bit healthier, you know, this offseason kind of worked on, you know, that flexibility of those hips, things of that nature just loosening things up in those areas so that he's able to return to form that we did see him play with that Notre Dame.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: But with the buccaneers, what they currently have, a problem with in the current dilemma, is a lack of proven production in that
- 10:57[SPEAKER_00]: As River mentioned, as a lot of year pointing out in the comments, he's going to need to step up, you know, whether that's in a rotational role or whether that's, you know, the legit starting boundary corner obsides on McCallum.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_00]: So he's going to be asked a lot.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: A lot is going to be asked about that stuff, you know, a given at this point really.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_00]: So it's he going to be able to meet, you know,
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: You know, produce underneath the pressure that is going to be put in on him and such a young point in his career.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be there now what are you going to do with it?
- 11:32[SPEAKER_00]: So it's going to be a big opportunity for him throughout the rest of training camp or the rest of many camp or mandatory many camp OTAs that we still got a week on to continue to show this level of play.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, you can take the praise for what it is and from players, from coaches, whatever
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: it's kind of a mole point, you know, like a mood point, excuse me.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, we'll see I'm not completely sold yet, I do want him to do good, but you know, we'll see he needs to continue this growth, continue moving forward.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_00]: I'm happy with Jacob Perish, we're moving into the outside role as well as a rotational piece, as long as he's able to keep
- 12:16[SPEAKER_00]: You know, his physical traits about him, so he can kind of offset his size going to begin some of these bigger, taller, more physical wibre severs, but I would love for the box to still go and get every again, better and guy.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_00]: bring in even for depth purposes kind of help mold some of these young guys into what they can possibly be teach them some tricks of the trade that you know is around in the NFL that they might not have seen in college that some of these elite level wide receivers do do that is different than a lot of the college of wide receivers that they used to face.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: So he's improving that's what we can see.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_00]: Now we need him to put everything together and kind of become that guy which is why they they use the
- 12:56[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't bring up a few comments here because you guys are rolling in the chat.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate you all.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_01]: Jumping in and giving y'all's thoughts.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_01]: This is from Bryce Pat Sandy.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_01]: Think Todd would do the whole rotate thing like he did with Dermal Dean and Morrison last year.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_01]: And I want to continue here guys because we can combine.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_01]: This is coming from Buck, life nine, five, four, four, saying I think parish has the upper hand at outside of Rzeion.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_01]: Zion has been practicing in the slot.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_01]: Benjamin Morrison and parish are the outside corner backs.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_01]: Scott needs to be in that nickel.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_01]: then Zion.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_01]: What are y'all's thoughts here on these two, you know, comments because this is going to be one of our big talking points going into training camp.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_00]: Well, Keante probably going to be your nickel.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: That's not really a snitly.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_00]: That's the assumption at this point.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: If you see his work and what he was able to do with the University of Miami, a lot of his success came from the nickel spot.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_00]: He likes to play closer line, he's a good tackleer, saw a tackleer, able to get after the quarterback, able to play against physical tight ends, able to get play against speedy shipy slot guides.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: So that's kind of where you're seeing where Paris is going to be pushed outside with, Zion with, Brandon, Benjamin Morrison as well.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_00]: Um, that's, you know, my take there, but yeah, I think a lot of these guys are going to rotate, you know, whoever's having a good game or, you know, writing the hot hand as they say on the office offensive side of the ball, but doing it on the defensive side of the ball.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_00]: Looking at your matchups, who's maybe a little bit more physical is probably going to get the start against an AJ Brown per se.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_00]: or so on and so forth of your playing guys who you just got a bunch of z-wider severs all over the field or a bunch of X's.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_00]: Like it can change based on those different things, but yeah, it's definitely going to be a rotation in my opinion and we'll kind of go from there.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Jacob Harris.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's smaller, but he's got an attitude about him.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_00]: The way that he plays, the style of play that he goes with, he's not going to show it on his face really all that much, but he plays with that type of attitude where he's kind of got that, that's your man syndrome for a corner where he's able to just play a lot bigger than he actually is.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_02]: You think they'd have to, right, especially because Jacob parish played so well at Nickel last year.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_02]: And then they went and drafted a Nickel to replace him for the fifth time in as many seasons.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_02]: It's been Christian Izzy and it's been tacky Smith and Jacob parish.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_02]: Now it's gonna be, you know, it's got
- 15:16[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so that they'd constantly rotate in and out of that cycle and with how well a pair played a piece of shame, if he like went to compete with Morrison and McCallum on the outside and like didn't win and then didn't play, right?
- 15:32[SPEAKER_02]: So you would imagine they'd have to have plans to rotate them.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_02]: and I do agree with that's going to be the case how they do that where and why that remains be seen and yes son has been cross-training at nickel he has done that the past few years he has the ability to do that and you know top bulls does like the mix things up and shuffle personnel around so
- 15:55[SPEAKER_02]: That combined with I mean they got JJ Robert they really like can play nickel and safety right they got Tiki.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_02]: They got Antoine they can play close to the ball Center at Center at Center at Center.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot of things can do this if it's a background and
- 16:08[SPEAKER_02]: how they do do it will depend on what they see in the offseason, but I think they're going to rotate probably.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, I'm super excited for some Kianta Scott.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_01]: We actually got to see him on Tuesday, we got to see him participate a good little bit there, which is a good sign.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_01]: We'd not see him on take K-part also the defensive lineman from Clemson, but I was, we were time out of the instant reaction.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he's a guy that's, you know, going to be on the line and the trenches, and we were hearing that he was a little bit of a
- 16:34[SPEAKER_01]: head of County, Scott, but if you think about it, County is a DB.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_01]: He does not need to use his hands as much as a defensive lineman.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_01]: You'd literally put your hand in the dirt.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_01]: So the risk injury for Devonte, we're still getting good word that he's going to be available for you in training camp and be a hundred percent.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_01]: Then, but yeah, the DB is I mean, we're going to continue to talk about this all throughout training camp and also two.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to think, you know, there wasn't just, you know, a Benjamin Morrison I thought to just the defensive line there's no pads on and everything but just the energy that we felt from that defense I think is very important because I think that's what Todd Bowles Jason light wanted to put a focus on and improving this off season get some energy man and also to find some leaders and just to hear from the idea of the hobby to say, hey,
- 17:19[SPEAKER_01]: Ashan Robinson is stepping up to be in an immediate leader for us.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_01]: I think says a lot, and you hear some churping from Russia as well out there.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_01]: Just a lot more energy coming from that defensive side of the ball.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_01]: And defense is really build momentum off of those kind of things.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_01]: Certainly when you're out there making plays, like Benjamin Morrison did for you to begin practice.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I just the energy was really nice defensively overall.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_01]: So shout to the energy on defense.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_01]: Um, now there were some other things.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_01]: We got a handful of other things to talk about guys.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to talk about some rubin bane and we are getting some
- 17:55[SPEAKER_01]: early projections on him of where he is going to have his sack total for the twenty twenty six season.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_01]: His rookie season, no buck and ears fans are just salivating just to hopefully see some clips during training camp when the pads do come on, but draft kings who put out a piece at bucksamay.com, draft kings release their season sack prop odds, and this is for ruined bane.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: fain's sacked total odds for 6 plus sacks is minus 150, kind of sitting there at your money line right there.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_01]: 8 plus sacks is plus 150, which is really intriguing to me, and then there's 10 plus sacks at plus 350.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_01]: Really run that money line is six.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_01]: Are you guys there to like a five and a half or are you feel like room and battery?
- 18:45[SPEAKER_01]: I think Caleb slamming.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_01]: I think Caleb slamming it.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_00]: I could see it.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_00]: I do think Caleb looks six.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't like the odds.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they're really in your favor there because you're really just kind of betting on it to happen, even though it most likely will happen.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_00]: And if you lose, you lose whatever.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_00]: Where you're really going to get the value is by going into those higher numbers, right?
- 19:12[SPEAKER_00]: So you're going to get what was an eight ten plus sacks then you're getting into plus money, right?
- 19:17[SPEAKER_00]: So you're putting down ten dollars for then you win eighteen dollars.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_00]: So you're winning eight dollars on the ten.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_00]: that you put down.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_00]: So there's your value, right?
- 19:25[SPEAKER_00]: But when you're getting to the double just a size plus 350, that's looking real juicy, real nice, right?
- 19:31[SPEAKER_00]: Like, can he be a guy who does it?
- 19:33[SPEAKER_00]: There's a path to that, right?
- 19:35[SPEAKER_00]: With an enhanced defensive line with what the box did, in particular, adding a guy like an A-Sharon Robinson, making sure that collage of
- 19:51[SPEAKER_00]: a bit coming off of the edge there.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_00]: Now that he's got another young piece to kind of work with on the opposite side of him, you have been drawing all kinds of attention from linebackers, you're going to have to worry about some of those guys, Jeremiah Trotter, if he's going to be able to be a blitzing type of go at back or for you, you don't say Scott coming off the edge with Ruben Bane on the same side like
- 20:14[SPEAKER_00]: There is a pathway for that to happen, now whether or not it does, we'll see because the buck and ears have struck going, might only in being able to finish with sacks, like I think the pressure will absolutely be there, but will he come away with them?
- 20:26[SPEAKER_00]: He's probably going to be somewhere in that seven to ten range.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if he eclipses that, if he gets a buck ten sacks as a rookie, that's going to be extremely impressive, and I would say buck and ears fans will obviously be extremely happy with that, but then you're going to really talk about
- 20:42[SPEAKER_00]: Probably one of the top 10 in the league and perhaps kind of pushing this whole team and balancing out the offense and how good that it can possibly be to get them to the playoffs and even potentially a very deep playoff run.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the interesting thing about Sachs with Ruben Bane is when people talk about his arm length, that's probably the biggest thing that's going to be affected by it, right?
- 21:07[SPEAKER_02]: Your ability to wrap up and finish tackles.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_02]: So there is caution when it comes to numbers like that.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_02]: I do think he will eclipse six.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_02]: I think says 7.5 the next one.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, eight.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_01]: Eight plus actually a plate.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_02]: I would probably go lower on, uh, but like I've mentioned before, during these shows, sacks are really, really nice to get, but getting high pressure and generating high pressure is the most important thing in Adrosher can do cuby hits, being disruptive, constantly being in their face.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_02]: That affects the whole game plan from the top down.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_02]: And I do think Bane will do that at a very high level regardless of whether or not he's able to
- 21:49[SPEAKER_02]: finish those socks.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_02]: And it be does, then guys like, yeah, I'd be able to come in and their numbers can go up right.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_02]: I can't see from the interior.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_02]: I can definitely, you know, feast off of that.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_02]: So, I do think Ruby Baines got a pretty high floor.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_02]: I think you come in and probably be a pretty big contributor right away.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_02]: Whether or not he's racking up tray Hendricks and level sacks.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if that's really going to be his game.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody said 19 sacks.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we'll see what happens with that, but I do think he'll play pretty well.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_02]: He'll be this rugged like they want him to be, you know, be a pretty crucial piece of that defense.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_02]: I will go lower on eight sacks, I think.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so just looking at some stats from him and of course this is different, but you know, he had his best year sack wise at Miami and his final season where he had nine and a half sacks almost reached that double digit mark and that was in college yeah and that's at the college level now the one thing that intrigues me because you are matching up.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_01]: him again, not against, but on the opposite side is a guy like Yaya Diabe where and Miami had a key measure where, which a lot of us thought, you know, that was going to be the Bucks pick.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_01]: There was no way that Ruben Bane Jr was going to drop on your lap like Jason Lyon, the Bucks, luckily had that happen to them.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_01]: So you're matching him with the guy that also can eat like Yaya Diabe.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_00]: We're more athletic than a key measure door.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_00]: When you're looking at the comparison between Yaya and the measure.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, exactly.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_01]: So like those type of things that's where, you know, it kind of opens up the door for me to get into that Eight seven and a half eight range to me.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see what the chat is saying.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_01]: This is where Low country pirate.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_01]: He's saying he's at eight.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_01]: That would be I think any bucks fan would certainly take that because that also allows You know for the other side for y'all at the hobby to do what he needs to do also to buck life nine five four four Sane eight sex as well
- 23:43[SPEAKER_01]: D.E.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_01]: here on YouTube is saying one sack per game, and I think every if that ends up happening, we're talking 15 plus sacks on the season.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_01]: So some people are saying, that's what we're talking about.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_00]: That's a protein tray handle of some numbers.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_00]: That's what we're talking about.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_00]: We're talking numbers here.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_00]: One sack that's 17 sacks, I mean.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, that would be astronomical.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_01]: That would pay the bills as they say.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, low country part.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_01]: I like the bold, you know, we're getting closer to week one and we're going to have some bold predictions with this.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, the best the best time to play the bankals in the first few weeks to see them.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely it is.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, take full advantage of it right here.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_01]: Get your sack numbers up, but low country pirate has he's going to get two sacks on Joe Burrow game one sign me up for that.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_00]: I'm probably with the business all season, but I assume that they would try to improve their offensive points somehow, so right, but if it hasn't come together by that point, then yeah, it's It's good to have a very good game, but it's not really.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, yeah, they could
- 24:49[SPEAKER_01]: The Bengals offensive line has always had an issue and certainly earlier on in the season like River Ed mentioned, so this is where a chance of a newcomer, a guy that wants to make a flash early, a ruin-bained junior, absolutely.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_01]: He can do so himself.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_01]: Now there is another rookie that is on our docket here, and this is coming from Leach reports Gary Davenport, talking about
- 25:15[SPEAKER_01]: Ted Hurst, being named on the biggest steals of the 2026 NFL draft.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_01]: Now we've spoken on him a lot and a lot of publications have written on Ted Hurst to be in one of the freak athletes coming through this draft, but this is what that important had to say.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_01]: He said it's a dawn of a new age in Tampa Bay after 11 seasons.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_01]: Why does he remember Mike Evans is gone?
- 25:36[SPEAKER_01]: The team still has veterans, Chris Godwin, and a second-year pro-America Bucca, but the team needs a big body wide out to step into Mike Evans's X receiver roll outside.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_01]: Now granted, there's a long way to go before herces and NFL starter that jump from the FCS to the NFL is a big one.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_01]: and there's an even bigger way to go before hers can be mentioned in the same breath as a player of Mike Evans, but hers possesses a tantalizing blend of size four, four, two, second speed, and catch radius.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_01]: He could have a real role in Tampa's offense as a rookie, especially with a solid summer.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_01]: So Ted, hers growing in some optimism here nationally,
- 26:22[SPEAKER_01]: we've been able to get out there river and just get a peek at this guy nothing too crazy yet is working with mainly the second team and such but you could just see the size, the frame and just I think some of the comments that we heard from Zion McCollum who's a veteran in this league.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_01]: I asked him to specifically like what do we what what stands out to you know you I don't know how many times you've faced him yet as he's just a rookie But what stands out and he says immediately it's that first step that comes out of his route is what intrigues him the most and Things that's gonna be something that is gonna make him special along with to his physicality At the line and his hands there is what
- 27:04[SPEAKER_01]: he as I am a column has been I in early on just get his first taste of Ted hurts, but with him being that big his physicality is something that stands off.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, with that size and free, but sometimes guys aren't like that.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we've seen some big receivers that don't take advantage of that.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_01]: And you're like, this is kind of like that.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_02]: He didn't have quite the contestant catch big body box out of house at Georgia State, but he's got the size to make it happen.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_02]: And if they can develop that skill set in next level, which with his hyper athletic bill is very possible, then they'll be cooking.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_00]: They'll be cooking and I'm content like the videos that you guys have posted out there that we've put on our YouTube channel here with box game day.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's that he does look like he's not, you know, that big physical virus here, but he's more, you know, kind of.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_00]: along those lines of a guy who can do it all really flew in quick first step, you know, getting in and out of his brakes very seamlessly being able to flip his hips whenever he needs to be.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_00]: It seems very natural for him at his size, which is something that Mike Evans was always great at, right?
- 28:12[SPEAKER_00]: Like it looked very natural for a guy that big to be able to move.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_00]: It should like that's scary.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to be a corner grown up against that, right?
- 28:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's just super quick, super fast, twitchy, and any suge, right?
- 28:28[SPEAKER_00]: So like, transform a lot of the good things that he's already doing extremely well.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_00]: And then, you know, tone those a little bit while also teaching in these next evolution of his game in terms of catching those contested balls, going up in attacking the point of the catch.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_00]: I'm so on so forth.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_00]: That'll be like the next things.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_00]: for Ted Hers, because he is a raw receiver, right?
- 28:54[SPEAKER_00]: Because he doesn't have all this natural, all this natural, athleticism.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_00]: Now, can he find two of those things?
- 29:00[SPEAKER_00]: Can he evolve and continue to grow and develop?
- 29:04[SPEAKER_00]: That is going to be, you know, something that leads to more success for him and to a long NFL successful career.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_00]: So, I mean, he's there.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_00]: He's got a great opportunity.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_00]: He's got a great quarterback to be able to do it with a baker may feel he's got all these weapons around him that are going to kind of take away some of the attention that should probably be on him as he enters the league.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_00]: So he's going to have everything available to him.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_00]: Like he's got the opportunity.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_00]: He's got the resources to be able to do so great guys who learn from and so on and so forth.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_00]: So
- 29:38[SPEAKER_00]: with them going out already on a limb and saying he's probably going to end up being misty with his draft.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's hard to deny that right now until we see how things start progressed, then you can either even go like a hundred percent at that point and do like, yeah, well, the buck for really got themselves one and they've done it in the past.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_00]: There's been guys and they've gotten later rounds in the draft that
- 30:00[SPEAKER_00]: have had great careers.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I'm happy to happen.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's something that, as you said, you could hide your excitement on our incident reaction to that one, no, no, it ended up happening.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I was so excited.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_01]: It was like, oh my God, this is actually yeah.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_00]: There's somebody I mean come on like the commanders too is like very high on their radar So like I had done plenty of research I looked into employees not something I had imagined for the fucking ears, but it eventually you know happened And I was thrilled I was like do this guy's a freak like everybody's gonna love him And he's gonna be in the right place.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_00]: He's in the right place where he's got the right guys around him He's got the right staff around him So we'll see how he gets it done.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_00]: I mean Drake London just got paid so Obviously that ground to did something right during his time in Atlanta.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, true
- 30:46[SPEAKER_00]: at that old, you know, plans of that factor as well.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and when you say staff as well, Bucks Widersy research Brian McLeanon has done a fantastic job so far of developing younger guys and you see that growth right there and just to have a good coach like Brian McLeanon also to the veterans like a Chris Godwin in that room and thevolving and the growth from jail Mcmillan.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_01]: They're like like you said Caleb you were perfectly like he is in a great spot.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_01]: There's no rush here either Does not need to be rushed.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_01]: It does not to be in immediate factored doesn't need to be in the first half of the season I need to be even this season, but you this is a guy that's going to develop and have to get used to the NFL
- 31:24[SPEAKER_01]: type of caliber talent that he's going to be facing.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_01]: It's a lot different than the FCS, but I'm like, you know, I don't know about you guys.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_01]: I think I didn't Gail was going to have to come down for a week of training camp.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's too many exciting things to be looking for.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_01]: Once we get into this camp because I can't remember.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, of course, my first training camp.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, holy crap.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_01]: What is this?
- 31:42[SPEAKER_01]: And then after a few days was like, oh, this is this is heaven.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_01]: It's hot.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_02]: It's what it is.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_01]: It's hard.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_01]: It's hard.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_01]: Last year I introduced Electrolite to out there, and so that's certainly helped.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_01]: But just being out there to see Rubin' Bane.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_01]: That's already, you know, that's signed me up.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_01]: I like guys in the trenches.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_01]: I like physical guys.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_01]: I like the kind of mentality that he has.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't give a flying F. He just wants to work your ass, and that's exactly what you want off the edge.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_01]: And then you get a guy like Ted Hers, like this.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_01]: And...
- 32:08[SPEAKER_01]: a freakish kind of ability and has a burst like no other and, you know, is just kind of one of those molded wider series that has a chance to take, take care of an opportunity where you lost a mic ovens.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_01]: Can he step into a role later on down in his career?
- 32:22[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, you get to see those first little signs, though, and those early on practices in training camp, and, you know, I did that whenever, you know, Jared Versa arrived at Florida State and just the way that he arrived, his mentality, his, I don't give a flying up, you know, I'm going to go
- 32:38[SPEAKER_01]: And talk my shit, and then I'm going to also be able to back it up, but he was just focused and dialed in.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there's a lot of guys on this team coming into training camp that have that certainly like a Ruben Dane.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_00]: Poor Jerber's man.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Jerber's.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_00]: I feel good for that guy right about now.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going back to my training camp thing.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_00]: When we first started this out, we were going to train the calves.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_00]: There was like Tom Brady, you can take the team.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, loaded with just talent stars all over the field, right?
- 33:06[SPEAKER_00]: So you're just kind of like star struck, right?
- 33:08[SPEAKER_00]: Like we're just like, what do we even do?
- 33:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like how do you how do you keep your head straight?
- 33:11[SPEAKER_00]: Because you're trying to watch a million different things going on at once.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_00]: And then after that, it's kind of like a role like you're getting like, oh, there's like one or two guys that I want to keep an eye on.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_00]: Like that's kind of been like the past three years for us, right?
- 33:25[SPEAKER_00]: And now it's kind of like a first time since, you know, the Brady years where we're like, ooh dude, like we're going to have a lot of guys that we're having to keep eyes on all over the field.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_00]: So definitely jealous if you guys being down there, that's going to be some fun fun stuff.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_01]: So hey, all right, let's keep on moving here guys.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_01]: We've got a handful of things we're still going to talk about Baker Mayfield and a bold prediction being made of his potential contract.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_01]: As well, but let's go and jump into a conversation and it's been all over social media as we just were interviewing Chris Godwin after Tuesday's OTAs and this is regarding him.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_01]: Kind of being in shock that Mike Evans was going to the San Francisco 49ers.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_01]: This is what Chris Godwin had to say.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_01]: He said, honestly, I didn't believe it.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there's a bunch of stuff on the internet that you can't really believe a lot of AI stuff.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_01]: So I didn't really believe it.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_01]: And then I texted Baker Mayfield.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, yo, is this for real?
- 34:24[SPEAKER_01]: And he was like, sad face emoji.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_01]: So Baker may feel just literally says back, sad emoji.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_01]: And Chris Collins like, this isn't AI.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_01]: This is actually for real.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, you could look into this a lot of different ways because right off the bed, I didn't like think into it deeply but then of course I saw Twitter kind of just going wild about it.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_01]: And it's understandable.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_01]: you think of the relationship between Mike Evans and Chris Scott when I think everyone thinks you know those are brothers these guys you know of course Mike Evans is going to tell Chris Scott on he's leaving you know the box after you know winning a cerebral playing with them for how long they did you know of course he's going to let him in on the know but Chris didn't know of course you know Baker had some insight to it who knows you know we haven't spoken to actually two bakers since shoot long time actually hopefully we'll speak to him on Tuesday next week but
- 35:15[SPEAKER_01]: you know, maybe Baker knew or make my government's told, Baker, I don't really think maybe even my government's told Baker may feel.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_01]: But what are all thoughts on this because, you know, we are seeing the reaction, of course, we're publicizing, we're writing articles on it, but just interested to get y'all's takes on it, because I think you can go into different ways.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's interesting because the obvious thing, like you mentioned, is, you know, why didn't my Kevin's tell Chris Goblin, but there's a lot of interpersonal stuff there that we don't really know about.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_02]: We probably won't know about for a long time, if ever.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_02]: So that's kind of just in the past and my Kevin's is going.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_02]: He's moving on to the 49ers and the team has been ready to perform and play without him because they have to.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_02]: And they did a little bit of that last
- 36:05[SPEAKER_02]: forever after this.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_02]: So they're going to have to dig in and look at each other in the room and figure out who's skills that's match where and find a new leader among that group and go for it.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I don't know what the actual process was like going down from point of point B. I remember.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_01]: We largely thought that my guy was going to stay and then like the morning of free age and say it was kind of like, oh, yeah It's not going well.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see what it's up there.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_02]: He is there in the 49ers.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_02]: He has one as healer.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_01]: I just wrote quite a one interrupt But I just saw in an interview some like I've been spoke to the 49ers media yesterday I do believe and he did say that one of the biggest reasons he chose the 49ers was to team up with Brock perdi
- 36:50[SPEAKER_02]: really I'm gonna leave that one on the table but um yeah we'll see what I can take here that one but yeah I don't know how deeply we want to look into it people had to relate to the people that we don't know about and then et cetera et cetera and I doubt Mike Evans has any serious bad will towards the book and heirs and what they've done for his career the Tampa Bay I might say a Tampa so we'll see how it goes for both sides
- 37:19[SPEAKER_02]: Unfortunately, Mike Evans will have to play Miles Garrett in his first game now, which kind of sucks, and then play him again, which also sucks.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see how he does in that tough NFC West division, and meanwhile the block's got an energy software.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_00]: good thing is, as Miles Garrett is a drop in the coverage.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_00]: So, that's true.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's not that deep, really.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_00]: But I mean, it does make you think a little bit.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_00]: It's like a cable maybe that relationship wasn't as close as everybody had, you know, originally thought it was.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_00]: I guess it's kind of the what you kind of can take away from it.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_00]: I know the boss, I knew, like prior to the actual official announcement of his, he knew that
- 38:03[SPEAKER_00]: Mike was going to be leaving.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if it was necessarily portrayed where he was going to go at that point, but Levante has gone on and openly publicly said that, you know, he knew that Mike was leaving before anybody else did, because he had, they have that like that great relationship in the captains on each side of the ball.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_00]: So, they had that closeness.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_00]: So, that's good to see, but at the same time, like it, it's just eye-opening,
- 38:28[SPEAKER_00]: what you do think, what you do see on the outside is not always what it is inside that locker room so on and so forth.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they might have been had a great working relationship, a friendliness in friendship outside of it, but they weren't necessarily best friends.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_00]: So on and so forth, the royalty probably would have known, you know, like that's just one of those things.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure if Baker even knew until
- 38:48[SPEAKER_00]: you know, the news came out and it's up itself.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_00]: But again, it's not something everything's happened, everything's done with it, it's probably moving on with the situation, and we all will eventually too, but with training camp and things still coming along, these questions are going to be asked as, you know, the whole thing with, oh, now apparently, Mike said that he wanted the opportunity to play with Brock Perty.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_00]: Cool.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_00]: I guess Brock kind of fits that that Tom Brady mode a little bit better than a bigger May field and that's completely fine.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_00]: You know like that's how he delivers the ball.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_00]: He's kind of a think dunk and then I'm going to hit you over the top.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_00]: Type guy which Brady was more like that and Baker's a gunslinger.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't really know if it plays as much in some bikes play style
- 39:35[SPEAKER_00]: Brock is going to take care of the ball a little bit better than Baker, which obviously last year watching Brocky really didn't do it all that much better potential ball been Baker did, but You know, that's to each drone and everybody's got their own opinion on you know who's better quarterback so on support, but I'll dig her off there on them and tell you guys that maturity of people around the league majority of hundreds.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_00]: Will points a bigger make it would be a better quarterback than Brock Perti, even though Brock Perti might have more success because of the way that he plays ball in the offensive system that he is in.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, not change or not.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_01]: Have any interchanged in words of coordinators everywhere you might say?
- 40:11[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_00]: And not having that he's been with one team is a whole entire righty place for Kyle Shanna Han, who's system is constantly evolving, but pretty much remains the same and all its nuances.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, it is what it is.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not kidding.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_00]: That's hilarious if you would go, I learned the opportunity to go play with Brock Produce.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_00]: Dude, come on, like you could add the opportunity to go play with Rilibar Jackson.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_00]: You could go, like, any other quarterback you could have named.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_00]: And everybody would have been like, yeah, cool, like, whatever, but like, don't drop the Brock Produce name.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that's, that's insane.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, you just compare
- 40:47[SPEAKER_00]: I just, you know, you know, you know, you know, you're really playing and it's that personality-wise.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_00]: I've always gone on record saying that for our parties to hit some quarterbacks.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_00]: No, like, that's just, kind of.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_01]: I want to give a special shout out though real quick to you guys where our goal was to grab 20 likes on this week's stream and you guys nailed it we're at 20 likes right now we got over 50 of you guys on here this afternoon and we would deeply appreciate you guys hopping on here if you have any topics or questions we only have a few left but if you have any questions

- 42:02[SPEAKER_01]: We do have to give some love to our friends over at price picks for sponsoring this episode up here.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_01]: The cannons river.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's his time to shine.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_01]: We've got F1 Monaco coming up this week and this is like one of the only ones that I tune in to sadly throughout the year, but I love Monaco.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_01]: And River is going to give us some picks here through price picks.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_01]: If you play five, you get $50 back instantly in your lineups as a new user.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_01]: If you use code HMA, if you're with us on YouTube, the link is down in the description below.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_01]: River, it's your time to shine.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_01]: What do we got here?
- 42:34[SPEAKER_01]: What are we looking at?
- 42:35[SPEAKER_02]: I'm thinking Ferrari is going to be real good coming to Monica.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they got a really good chassis.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_02]: They got some good break grip.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_02]: So why don't we go down to my boy Charlotte Claire here just signed a huge extension with for all that home race in Monica.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm sure there's a structural quick just so we can compare to like NFL quarterbacks is like how much are these contracts.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_02]: We don't know.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_02]: They don't say it on one.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_02]: So it's tough.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_02]: Lewis Hamilton, I think it's lure remember to make like over $16 million a year.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_02]: So whoo.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_00]: If you, you look at who he's dating, you've got to assume that.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_02]: All the clear starting position is fun.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_02]: Monica was all about qualifying.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_02]: So.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_02]: Oh man, two two is up.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, on that Ferrari, hope you'll be a 100% Man, that's tough.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_01]: I want to go more.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_01]: I want to go more.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_01]: This is a bold pick.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_01]: I want to go more.
- 43:36[SPEAKER_01]: I think they have they have the advantage in their cornering in their chassis.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_02]: He knows the track well.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_02]: It's his home race with Claren and Mercedes and saying all week Ferrari's got the edge here in Monica.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to give a digital clear.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_01]: I like it.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_01]: What do we need?
- 43:51[SPEAKER_01]: We need a different
- 43:54[SPEAKER_01]: person to pick as well.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know since starting position, I mean, keeping it in L.A. is leading the championship right there.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_02]: And then max for staff and his max for staff.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_02]: And so I think anything with him would be a good bet to go more than whatever they're telling.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_01]: He did us right the last time, right?
- 44:10[SPEAKER_01]: We picked that to any right.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_01]: He did.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_02]: He's he's currently like the championship.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_02]: He's he's a, you know, red hot right now.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_02]: So I think that's a pretty good bet starting position through now.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_01]: perfect.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_01]: All right, I say we go with that.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_01]: We, it's already up to three times right there on our picks and makes it easy and simple.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_01]: We got the starting position for number two for Charles right there and then Antonelli three and a half starting position.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_02]: You would need you would need Leclair and on Paul when you would need key me to be like second or third.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_02]: So, okay.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_01]: I like it.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_01]: Well, throw a 10 bomb on it right there.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_01]: 10 for 30.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_01]: Shout out to price picks as always for sponsoring us at here, the cannons.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_01]: All right, let's finish it off right here, Joe.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_01]: And this is another, whoa, I ain't everybody went away.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody's gone.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_01]: Just be to finish it off.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_02]: What is this?
- 44:59[SPEAKER_02]: What is this?
- 45:00[SPEAKER_01]: People don't want that.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_01]: People don't want that.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_01]: Here we go.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_01]: So here's SI.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_01]: So our friends are over that SI national corner or he made a bold prediction.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_01]: He actually threw out like a hundred bold predictions, which is crazy to do.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_01]: There were a few Buccaneers involved in this, including Baker Mayfield, who was mentioned in this of his future contract, and he thinks Connor believes that that Baker Mayfield and the Bucks will come to an agreement before the 2026 season begins, is what he had to say, Buccaneer General Manager Jason Light told reporters after the draft, that Baker Mayfield who turned 31 in April is always at the forefront of their minds.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_01]: And a world of haze and have not to the quarterback position may feel it is far more.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_01]: any bridge quarterback to another era.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_01]: He also said as a vuckiniers chart a path forward without Mike Evans, his leadership is more important and expensive than ever.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_01]: So I know you wrote in your piece, River.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_01]: You wrote this for bucksamey.com.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_01]: You said this is not too much of a bold prediction.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_01]: This seems like a pretty solid prediction and that means, of course, you think that
- 46:14[SPEAKER_01]: Mayfield now, you know, that was a topic.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_01]: I want to kind of lead it, you know, what do you think the number is going to be for Baker Mayfield and maybe we'll have any years signed?
- 46:25[SPEAKER_02]: What's good that we're talking about Brock Perti, right?
- 46:27[SPEAKER_02]: I can't really go.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_02]: The number to look at is $50 million per year.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_02]: That's a lot of money, but guys like Jared Goff and Brock Perti are making that money.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_02]: And there is an argument I've been critical of Baker may feel in the past, but there is an argument that may feel it is a similarly productive quarterback to those two players, which is funny as best, right?
- 46:50[SPEAKER_02]: so given that information given that may feel it's probably on a cheaper deal and he should be he's not one of the you know elite quarter-axon league but he's been productive from
- 47:00[SPEAKER_02]: about 85% of his career here in Tampa Bay.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_02]: Then he deserves some more money.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_02]: He deserves to be paid like those other players.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_02]: And he just saw a Sam Darnell when a Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks, right?
- 47:12[SPEAKER_02]: And it proves that some of these guys who are not elite quarterbacks who can play good football in the right as some while being piloted by a really strong offensive coordinator can win championships.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_02]: right and Baker may feel there's no reason to think that he's not one of those guys at same darn was one of those guys right so i think it'll be north of fifty million dollars how many years will probably be interesting idea i'm not sure
- 47:37[SPEAKER_02]: You would think his last deal was three, right?
- 47:39[SPEAKER_02]: It's probably three to four or something like that.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_02]: One would be, would be what's up.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_02]: And curiously, how they end up structuring this because as we mentioned, the top bowls doesn't have a great season with the box or bigger maybe.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_02]: It feels like the greatest season with the box and they go like eight, nine or seven, ten.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_02]: And then if he gets fired, you're going to have a new coach coming in who would have to have to have bigger maybe if he had a zerk order back, right?
- 48:00[SPEAKER_02]: There's no choice that she's going to have to be off as a reminder, head coach, show her a map that they want to keep up.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_02]: Right, so depends on how you play as a course, but I'm thinking 50 million.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_02]: I'm thinking three or four years We'll see exactly what that guarantee money looks like It seems like this is gonna happen.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_02]: It seems like this is what bigger my photo ones It seems like it's what Jason light wants.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_02]: It seems like it's gonna go down at some point.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see what happens Later this all season, but it seems like that's where we're trending.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah
- 48:33[SPEAKER_01]: think it deserves that right there in that range.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_01]: Caleb, that number.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, yes, it's hard off of that last minute.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be one hell of a clip.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_02]: No, yeah, the thing about this is I'll let you go Caleb, but injuries are what we assume happened to Baker made if you
- 49:03[SPEAKER_01]: The first shirt, the first shirt, not saying it's a full issue.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's an archer going to leveling system injuries, certainly played a role and that interior.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_01]: Often's why.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's a hand like three things that really.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_02]: And Jerry's going to lie.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_02]: He played a very bad football.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_02]: at the back of last year, like bad balance.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_02]: So you would just have to hope that that is absolutely because of the injuries, because of Grzard, because of all that.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_02]: And not because he's one of the NFL's most prolific phone wars, because he's one of the most sacked quarterbacks in the NFL over the last three years.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_02]: So there's still flaws in his game that need to be addressed and part of those things could have contributed to what happened.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_02]: But I'll...
- 49:43[SPEAKER_02]: like you have it Caleb there are a lot of factors but uh you kind of got to wonder if injuries put a major part in that regression.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_00]: You're you're playing into the health and the playmaking ability of bigger vehicle and the tenacity in the passion and right his personality on field his personality and his growth and development off the field as well and his suit.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_00]: his connection with the community and all of that.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_00]: So if you can get Baker Mayfield somewhere in between Dave Canal is Baker Mayfield and me, I'm Cohen Baker Mayfield, then yes, he's absolutely deserving of $50 million a year.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_00]: That's how I see it.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_00]: If you're looking at last year's Baker Mayfield, you're looking at the $40 to $45 billion range, right?
- 50:23[SPEAKER_00]: Like that's where you kind of
- 50:27[SPEAKER_00]: And that's all he really needs to do.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't need to be spectacular.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't need to be Superman.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't need to be 2020.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't even need to be 2024 Bakermaker.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_00]: He just needs to be somewhere in between.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's first year in his second year here.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_00]: And that should be good enough for the bucks that you even go on when a player game or two to me.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_00]: Like, and if you're able to get into that $50 million range where you're seeing the likes of the Jared golf, the likes of Sam Darnells, the likes of Brock Perties.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_00]: So that's actually what he will demand if he's able to have a good year.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_00]: And I do think he'll have a better year.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_00]: The offensive line stays healthy.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_00]: His white receivers are able to gel a little bit more without my guidance.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_00]: More so than they did without him at the since last year.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_00]: So I think it's this boat's well for me, Cody's got a better coordinator than God.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_00]: Um, under his, you know, totally right now.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_00]: So that's going to be great with Zach Robinson and not a repeat guy calling plays for the first time.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_00]: So, um, yeah, I think it's definitely where he needs to be in terms of financial gain.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_00]: in the future for him.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_00]: I'd read your deal.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_00]: It seems about right $15,000,000 a deal.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_00]: You could break it in the form, but I think if you do that, you're kind of going to have to spread money out over the course of, you know, as that tenure continues.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_00]: And so it's a little bit more heavy hitting later on in his career rather than early, so that way you're still able to build the pieces and things that you need to try and build a championship content.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go through a few comments on here to finish up at the episode.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_01]: If you do have any more questions or topics to them in the chat, we'll for sure throw them in some.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_01]: This is coming from bad W446 saying very little talk about Ted Johnson, but I think he will have a big year and, you know, that's one that we haven't been talking about a whole time.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_01]: We did see in red zone, he did get an opportunity there in the corner, not in the red zone.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_01]: That was goal line.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_01]: That was a goal line drill that they were doing, not even a drill, but they were 11 on 11 there.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_01]: And they were going through and Tess Johnson, I was actually not a bad ball from Browning there and had an opportunity just going to come down with it.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_01]: And that's about as much as we've seen from OTAs and that's probably why we haven't talked about Tess a whole time.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_01]: He's a guy that is probably one of your biggest sleepers going into 2026 just because of what you add to what Ted Hearst and what you, you know, already have in that room and it's gonna be really intriguing to see what Ted's Johnson can do.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_01]: And
- 52:58[SPEAKER_01]: and this upcoming season.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_01]: This is from Bucklife 9544 saying either way, no mic slander.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_01]: I will cheer for him.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_01]: But honestly, I think San Francisco's finishing third in the West again.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_01]: And offense still will revolve around Christian McAfrey.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_02]: All agree.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_02]: Hard to argue against that.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_02]: I do agree.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_02]: Actually.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_02]: And this Seahawks team that won the Supervillants fast years, one of the best football teams probably ever assembled.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_02]: And they've lost a few pieces, but Mike McDonald has got them so dialed and disappointed that I don't expect him to take too many steps back.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_02]: And then of course the Rams look like super villains with the acquisition of Miles Garrett.
- 53:36[SPEAKER_02]: So with that in mind, I had to think that San Francisco is the third best team in the West.
- 53:42[SPEAKER_02]: And then the Arizona
- 53:45[SPEAKER_02]: we'll see what happens with that, but I do think it'll probably finish third.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I agree.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_00]: Um, echoed the statements completely.
- 53:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's really hard.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_00]: You want to knock Seattle for the amount of talent that they did lose, but you know, they brought in some solid pieces outside of that.
- 54:00[SPEAKER_00]: And Mike McDonald's proven that he is a great head coach in this league.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_00]: Um, not just good.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_00]: Great.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, he's buttoned up knows exactly what to say when to say it and when to move the needle on things that need to be moved on.
- 54:12[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 54:13[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I like what they've done obviously, you know, what the Rams just did and how they continue to still afford players at the level that they are affording players is just crazy.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the Miles Garrett thing, looking at the salary cap hits is just like crazy on his contract, like just don't understand.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_00]: Um, you know, how that's going to continuously be a thing for them, but after the fix, man.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_00]: So, um, Rams, Rams are going to Rams, um, Seattle's, you know, built themselves into a
- 54:43[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I mean when you're looking at the focal point is you're running back who's now entering what like you're 10 in the wager or something like that for CMC Andrew prone things is that nature what happens when he goes down again, or you're gonna be able to run the same offense How's it kind of gonna look when teams aren't keen in on CMC as much as they usually are on a game by game basis.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_00]: So
- 55:02[SPEAKER_00]: And then there's, there's, you know, a still question marks through defense is still going to be good.
- 55:06[SPEAKER_00]: You George Kiddo is coming off a serious injury.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_00]: So at what type of George Kiddo are you going to get at tight end and so on.
- 55:12[SPEAKER_00]: So of course, there's a lot of question marks surrounding what 40 I was going to do.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_00]: You root for Mike.
- 55:17[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody's going to continue to root for Mike.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's kind of.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_00]: how we all see it, fans, reporters, journalists, whatever, everybody's still going to move for them.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_00]: We wish you would have been about for life, but less than I have things kind of unfolded there, but we'll still reform if we end up, you know, going against them in the playoffs, then it's a different story, right?
- 55:36[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, agree with you.
- 55:39[SPEAKER_01]: This is from our cell saying can the bugs backfield defend.
- 55:42[SPEAKER_01]: So we actually talked about this a whole ton or earlier on in our episodes.
- 55:46[SPEAKER_01]: So Marcelo, I highly suggest you go over there and listen to that part because we did indeed talk about because one of the biggest talking points of today was Benjamin Morrison the plays that he made.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_01]: If he is able to take that next step, how much that affects that defensive back field, but one point I'd bring up to is you got to hope that that defensive line all of that work that they put in his offices and helps that defensive back field for you as well.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_01]: So that should certainly improve and then to wrap it up here, this is coming from King him at the 21 asking, what's going on with Buck Irving?
- 56:18[SPEAKER_01]: is he going to be ready to go for this upcoming season.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_01]: So out of the latest reports, he is going to be available for training camp and I just wanted to know too as well.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_01]: We did view him.
- 56:31[SPEAKER_01]: I was watching him on Tuesday.
- 56:34[SPEAKER_01]: And he was working with Skip Pete, who is the Buccaneer's running back scoach, and he was actually working with him and also to Kenny Gainwell, not dressed down and wasn't a full participant in OTAs, but they were doing some side work, while special teams work was ongoing, so you'll see that a lot where some of the guys that aren't working with special teams.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_01]: Certainly, you know, a guy like Buccaneer, and he was not going to be on special teams for you.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_01]: gives them some time to go around to the other side and do some other work on their own or with a position coach.
- 57:03[SPEAKER_01]: And so we actually saw Buck Earing come away from where he was doing his workouts and came in and did a few things of some kind of some instally type things with skip, Pete right next to Kenny Gainwell.
- 57:14[SPEAKER_01]: So those two work in one.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_01]: one next to each other and it's really just laying out those two guys can you gain well and buck your Irving you know those those those builds are very very similar and Sean Tucker whenever he steps over he looks like a big big dude.
- 57:29[SPEAKER_01]: compared to them, but it is good to see Bucky Irving out there and he was moving like he was gliding like he looked good out there and it was moving as that same type of speed or whatever as what Kenny Gainwell, at least the effort wise it wasn't just kind of like jogging around and like he was moving moving.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_01]: So I think they're being cautious being careful as they should be and I think there's a lot of optimism.
- 57:51[SPEAKER_01]: He'll be fine for training camp, which is going to be here before you know at gentlemen.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_01]: You got you got to have your guy healthy man.
- 57:59[SPEAKER_01]: That's a thing.
- 57:59[SPEAKER_01]: You don't rush things and I think we've seen that happen before was some of these guys where they're kind of rushed into it and then it actually takes them back two steps or three steps.
- 58:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's just something you just don't want to do.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and game welch to be able to really rotate in and play a lot of snaps for this book and yours team I think so think like a 50 50 split 60 40 split even Bucky really works well to some of the memory back there pretty similar body size so you can do the same things with them But to be able to have him in tandem with Irving I think should allow Irving to breathe a little bit more and do more of what he did two years ago Yeah, and yeah I was gonna mention here real quick before we wrap up
- 58:44[SPEAKER_01]: This has been awesome.
