SPEAKER_00: My friends, this is the second letter I've written to you.
• 0:09
SPEAKER_00: I wrote both letters to help your honest minds remember something.
• 0:15
SPEAKER_00: I want you to remember the words that the holy prophets spoke in the past and remember the command that our Lord and Savior gave us.
• 0:26
SPEAKER_00: He gave us that command through your apostles.
• 0:29
SPEAKER_00: It is important for you to understand what will happen in the last days.
• 0:36
SPEAKER_00: People will laugh at you.
• 0:38
SPEAKER_00: They will live following the evil they want to do.
• 0:43
SPEAKER_00: They will say Jesus promised to come again, where is he?
• 0:47
SPEAKER_00: Our fathers have died, but the world continues the way it has been since it was made.
• 0:55
SPEAKER_00: But these people don't want to remember what happened long ago.
• 1:01
SPEAKER_00: The skies were there, and God made the earth from the water and with water.
• 1:08
SPEAKER_00: All this happened by God's word.
• 1:12
SPEAKER_00: Then the world was flooded and destroyed with water, and that same word of God is keeping the skies and the earth that we have now.
• 1:23
SPEAKER_00: They are being kept to be destroyed by fire.
• 1:28
SPEAKER_00: They are kept for the day of judgment and destruction of all people who are against God.
• 1:36
SPEAKER_00: But don't forget this one thing, dear friends.
• 1:40
SPEAKER_00: To the Lord a day is a thousand years, and a thousand years is like a day.
• 1:48
SPEAKER_00: The Lord is not being slow in doing what he promised, the same way people understand slowness, but God is being patient with you.
• 2:01
SPEAKER_00: He doesn't want anyone to be lost.
• 2:04
SPEAKER_00: He wants everyone to change their ways and stop sinning.
• 2:10
SPEAKER_00: But the day when the Lord comes again will surprise everyone like the coming of a thief.
• 2:17
SPEAKER_00: The sky will disappear with a loud noise.
• 2:21
SPEAKER_00: Everything in the sky will be destroyed with fire, and the earth and everything in it will be burned up.
• 2:31
SPEAKER_00: Everything will be destroyed in this way.
• 2:34
SPEAKER_00: So what kind of people should you be?
• 2:38
SPEAKER_00: Your lives should be holy and devoted to God.
• 2:43
SPEAKER_00: You should be looking forward to the day of God, wanting more than anything else for it to come soon.
• 2:51
SPEAKER_00: When it comes the sky will be destroyed with fire and everything in the sky will melt with heat.
• 2:59
SPEAKER_00: But God made a promise to us and we are waiting for what He promised a new sky and a new earth.
• 3:09
SPEAKER_00: That will be the place where goodness lives.
• 3:12
SPEAKER_00: Dear friends, we are waiting for this to happen, so try as hard as you can to be without sin and without fault.
• 3:22
SPEAKER_00: Try to be at peace with God.
• 3:26
SPEAKER_00: Remember that we are saved because our Lord is patient.
• 3:30
SPEAKER_00: Our dear brother Paul told you that same thing when he wrote to you with the wisdom that God gave him.
• 3:37
SPEAKER_00: That's what he says in all of his letters when he writes about these things.
• 3:42
SPEAKER_00: There are parts of his letters that are hard to understand, and some people give a wrong meaning to them.
• 3:50
SPEAKER_00: These people are ignorant and weak in faith.
• 3:55
SPEAKER_00: They also give wrong meanings to the other scriptures.
• 3:59
SPEAKER_00: They are destroying themselves by doing that.
• 4:02
SPEAKER_00: Dear friends, you already know about this, so be careful.
• 4:08
SPEAKER_00: Don't let these evil people lead you away by the wrong that they do.
• 4:13
SPEAKER_00: Be careful that you do not fall from your strong faith, but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
• 4:25
SPEAKER_00: Glory be to him now and forever.
• 4:28
  SPEAKER_00: Amen.
