- 0:02Welcome in to a very exciting episode of the scene.
- 0:04I'm your host, Bubba Starts.
- 0:06And with me today is Josh from the Josh and Paulie show.
- 0:08Welcome to the show, Josh.
- 0:10How are you doing, man?
- 0:11I'm doing well.
- 0:12I'm doing well.
- 0:13Met you off of our podcaster group on Facebook, and we're just here wrapping a little bit
- 0:19today.
- 0:20Why don't you go ahead and just tell us a little bit about the show, and then we'll kind
- 0:23of pick up a conversation.
- 0:24Alright.
- 0:25I just wanna say too shout out to Moe Train on that podcasting group.
- 0:28He's been posting a lot.
- 0:30There's been hundreds of comments on all those posts, a lot of interaction, a lot of
- 0:34collaboration.
- 0:35So way cool of Moe.
- 0:38My podcast is a would you rather podcast.
- 0:40So me and Polly basically started doing would you rather questions on the way to the gym
- 0:44every day, and we're like, these are too fun.
- 0:47Like, we just had a ton of fun with them.
- 0:50So we decided to start writing them down and podcasting, and we started on a cell phone.
- 0:56Polly was recording on a cell phone using some little free editing app and putting them
- 1:01together.
- 1:02And from the start, you know, we had some listeners, and I feel like that's another
- 1:07message I wanted to put out there.
- 1:08It's like, if you're trying to start into podcasting, just do it.
- 1:12Don't worry about a perfect setup.
- 1:14You're gonna worry about it forever.
- 1:16Just start with what you got and then get some equipment from there, and eventually, you'll
- 1:20have a nice pretty setup to work in.
- 1:24So
- 1:25Yeah.
- 1:25I love it.
- 1:26I love how it just started as a conversation between you guys.
- 1:29Yeah.
- 1:29I think what you were on your commute to work or something you guys were or at work?
- 1:34Yeah.
- 1:34Going to the gym.
- 1:35Going to the gym.
- 1:36Awesome.
- 1:37And that's that's really the beauty of podcasting and as that it's just it's just
- 1:41conversations, man.
- 1:42Like and it could be about whatever interests you.
- 1:45And you touched on something key right off the bat there is, like, if you're thinking about
- 1:51it, just do it.
- 1:52You have a phone.
- 1:53You have a like, you have everything you need on a phone to do everything.
- 1:57Is it gonna be perfect to, like is it gonna look like Joe Rogan's podcast?
- 2:01No.
- 2:02It's not.
- 2:03The guy has all the money.
- 2:04Right?
- 2:05Like
- 2:05Right.
- 2:06And he's everything.
- 2:07And actually, the guy that designed his set is also in the group as well.
- 2:11Alex, I'm pretty sure is his name, but, he's designed them for Theo and a lot of these cats.
- 2:17Right?
- 2:17So just start a podcast.
- 2:19Right?
- 2:20Record you and your buddy asking stupid questions or talking about whatever you like to
- 2:25do.
- 2:26And that's really you're gonna fall in love with it.
- 2:29Like, if you have that little bit of an inkling to do it, you already have it.
- 2:34Right?
- 2:35Yeah.
- 2:35And the problem becomes you start worrying about comparing yourself to every other podcast
- 2:42out there, or you start to worry about, oh, well, I don't have the s m seven b.
- 2:47I don't you know what I mean?
- 2:48Like Right.
- 2:49You don't need that.
- 2:51Right?
- 2:51Like, I happen to have one because I'm a musician.
- 2:55That's how my podcasting journey started.
- 2:57I was a songwriter.
- 2:59So as I'm releasing music and getting out there, I I, went to my friend's home studio on
- 3:04his podcast, and he was a thirty year radio vet.
- 3:07So we had a really nice suite setup and just a little room in his house.
- 3:11But I was like, hey, man.
- 3:12I got that.
- 3:13Hey, man.
- 3:14I got that.
- 3:15I was like, I got a podcast, don't I?
- 3:17And he was like, yes.
- 3:18You definitely do.
- 3:19He hooked me up with a a Zoom p four, which I I this thing is amazing.
- 3:24Right?
- 3:24Because I can go anywhere, battery powered, so I could start hitting music festivals and just
- 3:30setting up in a corner and doing it.
- 3:31And that's kinda how this whole thing started.
- 3:34Right?
- 3:34And it doesn't matter how it's how it starts.
- 3:37It it matters how you finish and how you keep going with it.
- 3:41So how long have you guys been doing your podcast now?
- 3:44Right about two years now.
- 3:45That's amazing, man.
- 3:47We're we're not even a year in with everything that we're building right now.
- 3:51So to think of, like, where we're gonna be in another year of continuing to go and grow,
- 3:56that's just too cool.
- 3:58Yeah.
- 3:59So you guys said you touched on some comedy stuff as well and just kinda hit touch current
- 4:04events.
- 4:05It's just two guys talking.
- 4:07Yeah.
- 4:07Just just bullshitting.
- 4:09We'll cover a lot of controversial stuff too.
- 4:12I personally like to delve into the nuance of things, which tends to piss some people off,
- 4:17but that's alright.
- 4:19I can't help it.
- 4:21And I'll joke about stuff that, you know, people are like, you shouldn't joke about that.
- 4:25But, you know, that's the beauty of comedy is you can joke about whatever the hell you want
- 4:29on the Internet.
- 4:30So
- 4:32Do you are you involved in the comedy scene at all, or are you a comedian?
- 4:36Or No.
- 4:37I've never done any stand up or anything.
- 4:40I really wanna collaborate with some other comedians, honestly.
- 4:43But mostly, I've collaborated with, like, a couple of, what you call, true crime podcasts
- 4:50and then another podcast that does a lot of, like, sports stuff.
- 4:53But so I'm I'm trying to get out there, collaborate with more people, find people that
- 4:58I can really do stuff with.
- 5:00We do the podcast once a week, which is awesome, but I feel like I could do more.
- 5:03Like, I'm I'm into it.
- 5:05You know?
- 5:05The the especially, guesting on people's podcast, it's a lot of fun because you don't
- 5:09have to edit it in the end, which is sweet.
- 5:11It's my least favorite part.
- 5:13So
- 5:14yeah.
- 5:15No.
- 5:16That's cool.
- 5:16And that's, I mean, that's how I ended up with four shows.
- 5:20Right?
- 5:20Yeah.
- 5:21I I started it right away, you know, and especially with last year being, you know, in
- 5:26the middle of an election cycle.
- 5:27I was like, man, I have a platform to talk about the stuff that I care about.
- 5:31Like, I'm going to.
- 5:33And and it kind of started bleeding into more of the music or podcasting short form
- 5:39interviews that I like to do, you know, the fifteen, twenty minute interviews.
- 5:42And I was like, you should probably just start a new show.
- 5:47Probably just start a new one and let that hang, and now we have four of them.
- 5:52And it's just I I'm such a I'm such a chameleon when it comes to communities.
- 5:58Right?
- 5:58I can bounce in and out of different things, and I don't necessarily have to bring, like,
- 6:03all of my values with me to every community.
- 6:06Right?
- 6:07Like, I don't have to be like, no.
- 6:08This is who I am, and this is what it is.
- 6:09Like, I don't have to be like that everywhere I go.
- 6:13So it allows me to just do it like you said, collaborate with different people.
- 6:17We've had cohosting, you know, a couple different cohosts on our programs now and just
- 6:22trying stuff out.
- 6:23At the end of the day, it's our programming.
- 6:26Right?
- 6:27It's our like, what we want to do.
- 6:30So we do whatever we want to.
- 6:31Maybe we'll have to we'll have to collaborate some more on getting you a cohost and finding a
- 6:36show.
- 6:36I love sports.
- 6:37I love comedy.
- 6:38I like so why stop?
- 6:41Why why make your one thing the one thing when it's so easy to just like start another channel
- 6:48on your YouTube.
- 6:49Right?
- 6:49Like, it's not like you even have to go and spend a lot more money to do another one.
- 6:55Yeah.
- 6:56Exactly.
- 6:56And, I've, you know, found a couple ways to to I I was spending money on the podcast at first,
- 7:02and then after a while, I'm like, this is just a hobby.
- 7:05Like and it's probably gonna be that for a while.
- 7:07You know?
- 7:07So I cut out most of the stuff.
- 7:10Just learned recently that you can go on Spotify and share your share all your stuff
- 7:16through a feed to other platforms, and that's free.
- 7:19So that's what I do with that now.
- 7:21And so I'm spending $0 a month on the podcast.
- 7:25So that's nice.
- 7:27That's amazing.
- 7:27And I think that's, like, what's stopping a lot of people from starting is thinking that they
- 7:33need to go spend, you know, a thousand dollars on equipment, and then it's gonna cost you, you
- 7:37know, $70 a month for Podbean or or whatever one of the other programs, which I did as well.
- 7:43Right?
- 7:43I jumped in, and I didn't really know necessarily what I was doing.
- 7:47I just kind of, taking the information that I had and doing the best I could with it.
- 7:52But then you start learning.
- 7:53Right?
- 7:54And Right.
- 7:54In a year and you're like, oh, I don't need a lot of this stuff that I'm paying for.
- 7:58And it's it's different.
- 8:01It's a vessel for ideas.
- 8:03Right?
- 8:03At the essence, that's what a podcast is, but that vessel can look and feel a million
- 8:09different ways.
- 8:11And people that are doing a podcast to generate leads for their real estate business are
- 8:16different than two guys that are just trying to bullshit and have a good time with each other
- 8:20for for an hour or two a week.
- 8:23Right?
- 8:23So I'm glad that you found those options.
- 8:26That's really what the Scene Projects is growing into.
- 8:30We kinda wanna be a network for the common man.
- 8:32We don't necessarily want you to pay a bunch of money to be on it, but if you're interesting,
- 8:36we would like to feature that content on our programming and then get you out there talking
- 8:41about, oh, well, hey, I'm part of this network that draws in more listeners to this bigger
- 8:45thing and maybe keeps them in our universe more than just, like, listening to one podcast and
- 8:50then going.
- 8:51Right?
- 8:52Yeah.
- 8:52And then you build this whole larger community of podcasters that are all cohosting or
- 8:57collaborating on different shows or, just being around each other, being guests on other shows.
- 9:03And so, yeah, we're trying to build something that's a lot bigger.
- 9:06It was immediately when I started this because I knew I had already had shows within the show
- 9:12kind of built into my life.
- 9:13I had the interviews, but then I was also doing live events where we feature songwriters on
- 9:19stage and recording those.
- 9:21Well, it's like, well, that's really, like, its own thing, but but I it didn't necessarily need
- 9:26its own feed until I was able to move on to a larger network that's like, well, here.
- 9:30We're gonna take your one feed that you're paying for, and we're gonna give you five for
- 9:34the price of one.
- 9:35And it was like, okay.
- 9:36Well, now I can kind of start to spread these out.
- 9:38So we're growing multiple shows, and and we're looking for other people, you know, very
- 9:43similar to you that people that are good at what they do, but not not in a position to
- 9:51dedicate their whole lives to it like I am.
- 9:53Right.
- 9:54Right?
- 9:54Like, I'm all in on this thing.
- 9:55I have to make it work.
- 9:56I don't have a job.
- 9:57I don't wanna go back to welding.
- 9:59Like, I don't I don't and I love the trade, but I don't love being told what to do.
- 10:04Right?
- 10:04Like, I I I'm an entrepreneur at heart.
- 10:07So once we landed in this, it was like, well, how does this work?
- 10:10And how does a network kind of work?
- 10:12And what what does that look like to have your own, you know, network of shows rather than
- 10:17just one program that you're trying to bring people into?
- 10:21I mean, ourselves, we got to a hundred episodes in less than six months.
- 10:25Like, having someone to talk to and and doing content wasn't that hard for us, but now we
- 10:32wanna get all five of those feeds to a daily, if not more than once daily, rolling.
- 10:39Right?
- 10:39And and all of these going and kinda growing everything right now under our one YouTube
- 10:43channel.
- 10:44So yeah,
- 10:45man.
- 10:45That's way cool.
- 10:46Yeah.
- 10:46Make it like a radio station or a TV channel.
- 10:50Exactly.
- 10:51Exactly.
- 10:52Because that's what it is, Josh.
- 10:53Like, it's media is the mainstream media is dead in the water.
- 10:59Like, even our local our local news station here in South Dakota, they took a meeting with
- 11:04me, and and they're, like, you know, telling me their numbers.
- 11:07I'm like, oh.
- 11:08Wow.
- 11:09That's not that's not much at all.
- 11:1115,000 viewers is what you have, and you're one of
- 11:14the Crazy.
- 11:14Four stations in the state.
- 11:16Right?
- 11:16Like Yeah.
- 11:17Oh, that's that's not good.
- 11:19So how do we how do we capitalize on, you know, them kind of coming down and and us coming up
- 11:26and meeting in the middle because they're not going away.
- 11:29Right?
- 11:30Like, these these broadcast stations aren't going away, but I feel like we can help each
- 11:35other.
- 11:35So we're trying to find those avenues to taking this all to TV, man.
- 11:40Like, that's that's the big goal is infiltrating, if you will, the mainstream with
- 11:45content that we find is connecting with people.
- 11:49Yeah.
- 11:50And you just slap that channel on and watch it all day if you want.
- 11:53And No lull, no interruption.
- 11:56Exactly.
- 11:57So, yeah, we're we're getting more of our people into making, you know, more fifteen to
- 12:02twenty minute episodes rather than hour long stuff all the time and to start to craft it
- 12:08into that.
- 12:09So a year from now, when mainstream media is in a casket at Right.
- 12:15We can, you know, come back and be like, hey.
- 12:18We have all of this content.
- 12:19We got a great following that we've built.
- 12:22Maybe we can resurrect you and this what you used to have and work together.
- 12:27And the fact that they're already interested in co promoting some stuff with us is really cool.
- 12:31It shows you where things have gone in a relatively I mean, I know podcasts have been
- 12:36around for a long time, but, I mean, the last five years, you felt the swell growing.
- 12:44Right?
- 12:44You felt it as mainstream media was attacking Joe Rogan during COVID.
- 12:48You felt it as it was like, well, they couldn't cancel him like they did to everyone else.
- 12:53What's different about this?
- 12:55And to watch that continue to grow, and then we all saw it over the course of the election
- 13:01cycle.
- 13:01Right?
- 13:02You watch mainstream media, and it's a close race, and it's it's this and that.
- 13:06And then you get to the election, and you're like, well, that wasn't true.
- 13:09And they're like, well, how much have you been lying to us about everything?
- 13:12And now with the last couple of months coming out, you're like, oh, you've been lying about
- 13:15everything.
- 13:16You you have zero trust with anyone, and and now you have all of these podcasters like us
- 13:23that just come out and we're real.
- 13:24We're fucking real people in our garage or in our spare bedroom.
- 13:28Right?
- 13:29And we're we're hanging out and just talking with our friends and getting our thoughts and
- 13:34feelings out there because we're not going to be told what to do.
- 13:38We're not gonna be told what to think anymore.
- 13:41And I think it really comes you know, I'm 39.
- 13:43It's definitely a generational thing, I would say.
- 13:46People in their fifties and sixties are not thinking like we are.
- 13:50I don't know how old you are, Josh, but I assume you're probably in your thirties as well
- 13:53or close to it.
- 13:55Yeah.
- 13:5534.
- 13:56Yeah.
- 13:56It it's guys like us that are changing this mediascape because we're just kinda gave them
- 14:01middle finger and said, hey.
- 14:02We're gonna do what we want.
- 14:04We're gonna talk about what we want.
- 14:05We don't care, and it's not costing us a penny.
- 14:08So you can take your hundred thousand watt radio tower that you're paying an ungodly
- 14:13amount just in electricity to run, and, yeah, your radio's dead.
- 14:17And now it's how do we if the if the channels are dying off, then the advertisers that were
- 14:25working with those people need somewhere to put their money.
- 14:29So let's be that.
- 14:30So developing all of these kind of advertising models, sponsorship models, you know, the
- 14:36affiliate marketing, all these things, that's what I've been working on.
- 14:39Right?
- 14:40And then in the meantime, I get to jump on for twenty minutes with Josh and talk about his
- 14:44podcast and what they're doing, and and we all grow together.
- 14:48And that's really the bigger vision of of what we have.
- 14:52And there is my sales pitch, Josh.
- 14:55I think I've
- 14:57Very cool, though.
- 14:58I like what you're doing.
- 14:59I've actually got this group on Facebook called the PodLuminati.
- 15:03It's a private group.
- 15:04There's a bunch of podcasters in there.
- 15:06Well, there's about a hundred podcasters in there right now.
- 15:10And we all share and collaborate and talk amongst each other, but one of the biggest
- 15:16questions is where do you guys find sponsors?
- 15:19And we're all like, we we don't.
- 15:21You know?
- 15:23It's that's something we haven't figured out yet.
- 15:26So I definitely welcome you to come check out that group and recruit some people from there
- 15:30too.
- 15:31Yeah.
- 15:31Well, and to just be a part of it.
- 15:32Communities is what this is about.
- 15:34Right?
- 15:35Facebook groups are are big for us because that's where people are gathering.
- 15:39And I I'm sure there's some you know, I don't know about x.
- 15:42I've tried to engage there.
- 15:44I don't know what they're like.
- 15:45You know?
- 15:45I'm I'm old, man.
- 15:46I'm 39.
- 15:47I'm gonna be 39 in a few months.
- 15:49I've been on Facebook since kind of its inception, right, and have you slowly built a
- 15:54following there.
- 15:56I'm not trying to abandon that to go somewhere else completely.
- 16:00We have an Instagram.
- 16:01We have those things, but I don't know how to use those channels to connect with people like
- 16:07we did.
- 16:08Right?
- 16:08Where I was able to with a few comments, now we're able to message each other and two days
- 16:13later you're on a podcast.
- 16:14Right?
- 16:14I don't know how to do that elsewhere yet.
- 16:17So always learning, always open to learning more and and communicating and connecting with
- 16:22people because that's how this thing is gonna grow.
- 16:25It's gonna be grassroots.
- 16:26It's gonna be a a lot of people doing the things that they're good at and bringing that
- 16:33to the community and then going, hey.
- 16:35I'm not so good at this thing.
- 16:37Right?
- 16:37Like, I know affiliate marketing, but I don't know anything about production.
- 16:42And so where can I find someone who is the opposite of that or has, you know, different
- 16:48skill sets?
- 16:49And that's that's kind of what we're trying to build is a larger community of podcasters and
- 16:54just creatives, creative people that are trying to get their stuff out there, being able to
- 16:59teach those people, but then also realizing that there's plenty of money in starting these
- 17:04people that want to use this format to make money.
- 17:08Right?
- 17:09So kind of a Robin Hood aspect.
- 17:11We're gonna charge the people that can afford to pay it and are using it to grow a business
- 17:17so that we can kind of support the creative people that are more just doing it for a hobby
- 17:21or but are but have really great content that we think needs to be out there.
- 17:26So it's been an incredible journey.
- 17:28This is really I mean, you're talking not even two months.
- 17:30It's not even the February.
- 17:32I've really only been working on this part of it for seventy days, maybe, like, since the
- 17:40December.
- 17:41So now that the vision is starting to take shape and and I'm on calls like this every day,
- 17:49right, Josh?
- 17:50Like, this is my life now.
- 17:52Yeah.
- 17:52It becomes even more evident that this is what people want.
- 17:55This is what real talk is really what's hitting in the space.
- 18:00It seems like that.
- 18:01Maybe not on the views side, but on the people starting it because they're being called to.
- 18:07You have a story.
- 18:09You have a story.
- 18:10It deserves to be told.
- 18:11We're gonna teach you how to do it the most cost effective way possible if you just wanna
- 18:16get that story out there.
- 18:18And then if you want to grow that into a following and you want to be Joe Rogan or
- 18:22something like like, you wanna do that.
- 18:23Okay.
- 18:24Well, we're gonna put on that path to doing that.
- 18:27That takes a lot more money and time invested.
- 18:30And then if you, you know, those creative people that we can help kind of, just keep
- 18:35getting this stuff out there.
- 18:36I say this is how the world is changing.
- 18:38This is how God is speaking through us.
- 18:40This is how we're changing the world is by changing ourselves.
- 18:44Each each conversation, and I don't you know, for you guys, it might be a little bit
- 18:47different because it's just kinda you and your buddy.
- 18:50But for me, I'm connecting with people all around the world every single day, and it's
- 18:57changing my thoughts on what the world is.
- 18:59It's changing And if if the podcast changes one person per episode and that person is me, well,
- 19:08then that's already a successful podcast.
- 19:11Right.
- 19:11Right.
- 19:11So when you start talking about, well, now these conversations can go out and connect with
- 19:16other people and change their lives, that's where that's where this is really gonna keep
- 19:21growing, and that's why I'm excited about next year.
- 19:24I was very fortunate, you know, in this time to be nominated for a content creator of the year
- 19:29award through, an organization I'm a part of, the Midwest Country Music Organization.
- 19:34So to get a nomination for that in your first year of existence is definitely enough push to
- 19:40keep going for another year.
- 19:41Right?
- 19:42And to just keep pumping.
- 19:44We've proven that we kind of like a little bit know what we're doing.
- 19:47We don't have a million subscribers on YouTube yet, but we're working towards it and we're
- 19:52gonna keep working towards learning and growing and then teaching other people how to do that
- 19:59because that's that's what's important.
- 20:01Yeah.
- 20:02And you said earlier about how, you know, we're legitimately changing the world by getting our
- 20:08ideas out there, and I think that's super important to think about.
- 20:11I thought about this on the level of politics too for a while.
- 20:15And the things that change the most in politics, law wise and all that are things that
- 20:22the people are majority demanding.
- 20:26Who you elect, I don't think really plays as much of a role as what the majority of people
- 20:32think about a certain topic currently.
- 20:35So if you think a certain way about a a certain topic and you can get 10,000 people to watch
- 20:41you talk about that thing, those 10,000 people are at least gonna have it in their mind.
- 20:45They might go talk about that thing legitimately through the through the effect.
- 20:51It's gonna exponentially increase that idea to the point where a lot more people have heard
- 20:55it.
- 20:56You know?
- 20:57Well and we've seen it.
- 20:58We we've seen it with the death of woke, and not that I don't think some things in that
- 21:03movement.
- 21:04Right?
- 21:04You know, and even down to DEI, diversion, equity, inclusion.
- 21:08It sounds great.
- 21:09We're all about those three words.
- 21:12But what got Trojan horsed in with all with that, right, which is what politicians do, The
- 21:17Patriot Act.
- 21:18Oh, it's a four year safety.
- 21:20Oh, by the way, we're spying on everyone.
- 21:22Right?
- 21:22Like and without without podcast, we're stuck in that same matrix funded by our tax dollars
- 21:29that are propagating our entire nation and the entire world.
- 21:34Like and that's why especially the USAID stuff that came out in the last thirty days where
- 21:40you're just like, oh, my whole life has been a lie.
- 21:43Everything that I've consumed for thirty eight years was bullshit.
- 21:48Was all bullshit.
- 21:49It was all coordinated.
- 21:50It was all orchestrated, and now we know.
- 21:54And without podcast, without Joe Rogan, without these people, that never happens, man.
- 22:02That never happens.
- 22:03And and we're in a different we're on a different timeline now than we would ever be
- 22:09with without that.
- 22:10Right?
- 22:10So, so now we realize that.
- 22:13Right?
- 22:13So, you know, Joe Rogan, when he started his podcast, he jokes about, you know, it's him and
- 22:17his buddies hitting the volcano.
- 22:19Yeah.
- 22:20And that's how that started.
- 22:22First episode?
- 22:23No.
- 22:23I never I've never gone back that far.
- 22:25He's, like, on his laptop just using whatever.
- 22:29I don't know.
- 22:29Whatever was back then.
- 22:30Right.
- 22:32He's got like, he's messing with the little snowflake video effects and stuff.
- 22:36He's like, oh, that's cool.
- 22:37He's just hanging out with Brian Redman in a room.
- 22:40Like, I guess I'll try this.
- 22:41And then, you know, a thousand people hop on and watch him.
- 22:44So he's like, alright.
- 22:45Yeah.
- 22:45I guess I'll stick with this thing when people are into it.
- 22:47So
- 22:48Right.
- 22:49Well and for me, I had a little bit of of local celebrity.
- 22:53Right?
- 22:53I was a musician.
- 22:54I was out in a band.
- 22:55I was very connected in the music industry.
- 22:58So I came into it with the intention of that.
- 23:01Instead of, you know, where they were like, we didn't know what we were doing for ten years
- 23:05and we're just kind of doing it and whatever.
- 23:07It was fun.
- 23:08I came into it with the intention of no, this is what we're going to do.
- 23:11We're gonna run it and and make it like a radio or TV station, and then we've run into other
- 23:16people that are doing a lot bigger things.
- 23:18The network that I'm a part of, the C Suite radio network and the c suite TV network, they
- 23:23just picked up the New York Stock Exchange whole programming.
- 23:26All of their programming is coming over onto this network that I'm on now.
- 23:30Our our founder Jeff Hazlett is a is on CNBC every day.
- 23:34He has his own business show or MSNBC.
- 23:36I can't remember which one it is, but, you know, eventually, his his goal is TV, and
- 23:42that's how he sells it.
- 23:43It's like, think of your show as TV.
- 23:45Think of it as this way because that's where this is going.
- 23:48All of you independent creators out there are developing these shows that are going to be on
- 23:54these networks soon because their old games and tactics don't work, and they're going to have
- 24:00to rethink the way that they're doing things.
- 24:02So keep going.
- 24:04Man, anybody with a podcast, like, just keep going right now because we don't know where the
- 24:08industry is going.
- 24:10I think there's a three to five year bubble before this all kind of homogenizes, but the
- 24:16people who already have small followings or have really good content or like, even if you
- 24:21don't know the following, but your production looks amazing, you're going to be at that top
- 24:27of that list.
- 24:27Right?
- 24:27They call it headliners.
- 24:29You know?
- 24:29Can you elevate yourself to that?
- 24:31So what I say that, like, the Scene Projects Network is is kind of like the JV team to that
- 24:38squad is that I'm gonna develop a bunch of people off of the sidelines, get them in the
- 24:43game, and then who knows where any of these people go.
- 24:48Because if your content's good, we can work on production.
- 24:51If you have content that people are willing to support, right, and that's where sponsorships
- 24:57and things start coming in, well, if we can get support for your content, then we can take your
- 25:01production level from here to here.
- 25:03No problem.
- 25:04It's not that hard.
- 25:05We know the pathways, but is the money there first?
- 25:09Instead of everyone going out and spending all the money to to develop their own show, taking
- 25:15more of a a collective approach to it.
- 25:18Just start making good content.
- 25:20Can you make a good show?
- 25:21Can you make this stuff interesting and get people to listen to that?
- 25:24Can you get me to listen to your programming?
- 25:28And then if that's possible, well, then you could hook anyone.
- 25:31And then we'll just grow from there.
- 25:33And, yeah, just to continue to connect with more people is kind of my goal.
- 25:38It's why I love doing interviews and having people on.
- 25:41And, Josh, I think just the short conversation, we I'd love to collaborate with you on our
- 25:46Patreon broadcasting project shows and to be able to talk about stuff that most people
- 25:51won't.
- 25:53Yeah.
- 25:53Yeah.
- 25:54Hell yeah.
- 25:54I'd love to collaborate too, dude.
- 25:57I'm into it.
- 25:58Yeah.
- 25:59Josh, why don't you, why don't you tell everybody before I let you go where they can
- 26:03find, the Josh and Polly show and, yeah, just just kinda share a little bit more about what
- 26:09you guys got going on.
- 26:10You can check out The Josh and Paulie Show on Spotify.
- 26:14We post our short clips on TikTok and Facebook.
- 26:19Not really on YouTube because they've, we've had censoring issues over there.
- 26:23But I probably talked about the vaccine one time, and we were just, like, discussing the
- 26:28conspiracy theory that they're trying to reduce the population of the world.
- 26:33And we were discussing it as if, like, this is just a conspiracy theory, but they booted the
- 26:38whole episode for that.
- 26:39So we were like, no more no more on YouTube.
- 26:41You won't do that to us again.
- 26:43Yeah.
- 26:45So I've got Slab Lab Gaming over on Twitch too.
- 26:49I develop little RPG video games over there, and so that's pretty fun.
- 26:54And then check out the PodLuminati on Facebook.
- 26:57We will let you in if you're not a podcast promoter.
- 27:01You sound like maybe you're helping promote podcasts, but you're not the kind of podcast
- 27:05promoter we're talking about.
- 27:06I think you know the kind of podcast
- 27:09Oh, we've seen them.
- 27:09Yeah.
- 27:10Yeah.
- 27:11So, yeah, we we accept everybody over at the PodLimonata.
- 27:15Even if you don't have a podcast yet and you're thinking about starting one, you can come and
- 27:20check us out.
- 27:21We're trying to help, you know, just share everybody's stuff and get it out there.
- 27:25So
- 27:26Awesome.
- 27:27Well, Josh, I appreciate you being on the show today and for being part of the scene.
- 27:32Yeah.
- 27:32I appreciate you having me on, man.
