- 0:10>> Jarjeev: Hello, weary traveler. I'm not
- 0:12sure what strange magic must
- 0:14have brought you here, but you
- 0:15have stepped into a realm of
- 0:17my creation. A ah, sprawling
- 0:19city filled with danger and
- 0:21glory, and most importantly,
- 0:24lots of gold. I call it I La
- 0:27Nomis. Who am I, you might
- 0:29ask? The name is Jarjeev, and
- 0:31I'm the patron deity of
- 0:33gambling. Long story short,
- 0:36this group of idiots, or as
- 0:38you may call them, heroes,
- 0:40made a bet with me that they
- 0:41had what it took to make a
- 0:42bastroph of gold, but left
- 0:45some of the key details blank.
- 0:47So I filled them in myself. I
- 0:50sent them to this pocket
- 0:51dimension into the city I had
- 0:53created with with brand new
- 0:55bodies they'd have to attune
- 0:57to. Can these fools pass my
- 0:59test? Or will they be trapped
- 1:01here forever? So experience my
- 1:04world of trials and
- 1:05tribulations and join
- 1:07alongside this posse of
- 1:09pitiful people. Or as I like
- 1:11to call them, the criminals of
- 1:13Isla Numis.
- 1:16>> Speaker B: Welcome back everybody, to
- 1:17another episode of the
- 1:18Criminals of Isle of Newness.
- 1:19We're on episode 35. Can you
- 1:21you guys believe it? 35 whole
- 1:23episodes. My mind is blown.
- 1:26But with that being said, we
- 1:27can't have 35 episodes until
- 1:29we get into this 35th episode.
- 1:32So before we can jump in,
- 1:33let's introduce the players
- 1:35and their characters to my
- 1:36right as pretty much always.
- 1:38Dave playing Maki.
- 1:41>> Speaker C: Yep, I'm m still playing. Maki
- 1:43hasn't died yet, so we'll try
- 1:46to keep that going if we can
- 1:47get out of this factory.
- 1:48>> Speaker B: Oh yeah, that's true too. You
- 1:50guys got some stress coming
- 1:51your way. Hopefully everyone's
- 1:53meant to deal with that
- 1:54stress, including Fatty
- 1:56Lumpkins, who's playing Keto.
- 1:58>> Speaker D: Yes, I'm Keto and I am half
- 2:01dead. Looking forward to not
- 2:03becoming fully dead.
- 2:04>> Speaker B: Yeah, I was going to say,
- 2:04you're a minute and 30 seconds
- 2:06away from that possibility,
- 2:08but thankfully you've got
- 2:10quick, nimble individuals like
- 2:13Jackson. As a person who is
- 2:15playing dez as. As this
- 2:17character who may or may not
- 2:18be somewhat quick and nimble,
- 2:19we don't know, but Jackson
- 2:20certainly is.
- 2:21>> Speaker E: yeah, I'm Jack. I play dez.
- 2:23DEZ has a long history of
- 2:25short term memory loss.
- 2:26>> Speaker D: Oh, really?
- 2:28>> Speaker B: Does he remember? is it. That
- 2:30feels like a really great
- 2:30cover if you were like, I
- 2:31forgot all my facts that I've
- 2:33given up until this point. So
- 2:35yeah, fun fact. They're all
- 2:36things that he forgot.
- 2:37>> Speaker E: fun Jack fact. I think about
- 2:39every fact that I tell you on
- 2:40my drive over here.
- 2:41>> Speaker B: Oh, all right. And you managed
- 2:43to get One in the time.
- 2:45>> Speaker D: Like new.
- 2:46>> Speaker E: Yeah, like everything that I
- 2:47tell you.
- 2:48>> Speaker B: Yeah.
- 2:48>> Speaker E: Have told you. I think about
- 2:49it on my drive here, just so
- 2:51that I. The new one that I
- 2:53come up with on the spot, does
- 2:54not contradict an old one.
- 2:56>> Speaker F: Wow.
- 2:56>> Speaker B: So do you have them written
- 2:57down or.
- 2:57>> Speaker D: No.
- 2:58>> Speaker B: God. Wow. Holy cow. That's
- 2:59impressive.
- 3:00>> Speaker D: How do you do that with short
- 3:01term memory? How do I do what?
- 3:03>> Speaker B: How do I do what?
- 3:04>> Speaker E: Fair enough.
- 3:05>> Speaker D: Yeah. Moving on.
- 3:06>> Speaker B: Yeah. Sitting next to,
- 3:08Jackson, we've got Cameron,
- 3:09who is playing.
- 3:10>> Speaker D: Could be like. Wait, you
- 3:11forgotten me?
- 3:16>> Speaker B: Rory.
- 3:17>> Speaker D: Hey, what's up?
- 3:18>> Speaker B: Hey, you're in the. In the
- 3:20game.
- 3:20>> Speaker D: Yep, that's me.
- 3:21>> Speaker E: Hi.
- 3:21>> Speaker B: Welcome. Welcome back. and
- 3:23then finally, last but not
- 3:25least, we've got Quinn and he
- 3:26is playing our beloved little
- 3:29sauce.
- 3:30>> Speaker D: Almost died.
- 3:31>> Speaker B: Didn't die. Let's go. Hashtag
- 3:32almost died. Hashtag didn't
- 3:34die. That sounds kind of cool,
- 3:36actually. That should be your
- 3:37tag. Anyway, with that being
- 3:38said, we will jump back into
- 3:41today's episode of Criminals
- 3:43Violinumas. Where we left off.
- 3:51You guys were all inside the
- 3:52Steelborn factory, having just
- 3:54defeated Professor, I believe
- 3:57is Augustus Steelborn, the
- 4:00owner of this mostly defunct
- 4:03factory repurposed as a
- 4:05Euphoria manufacturing plant.
- 4:08The drug that you guys have
- 4:09kind of been following in the
- 4:11heels of. Now, you found this
- 4:13plant. You've got friends from
- 4:14Rock Bottoms that were just
- 4:16part of a giant fight. You've
- 4:18got Gravestone, the living
- 4:19skeleton, owner and
- 4:21proprietor, both of the Rock
- 4:22Bottoms Club, as well as the
- 4:25Rocks, as they call
- 4:26themselves, the sort of semi
- 4:29criminal organization, you
- 4:30know, the very like Robin Hood
- 4:32types do, doing bad things for
- 4:33good reason. Or at least so
- 4:35they say. you have with you
- 4:38Rusty. He is the Dwarven Monk,
- 4:42and he has been fighting
- 4:43against the, various members
- 4:46or employees of this Euphoria
- 4:47factory. And you came with
- 4:50Sprout, the halfling that you
- 4:52guys discovered was actually
- 4:53selling Euphoria. He's the one
- 4:55that was able to lead you guys
- 4:56here as sort of recompense,
- 4:58punishment, if you will, for
- 5:00the fact that he was involved
- 5:01in the Euphoria trade, which
- 5:02Gravestone had told him was a
- 5:04big no, no. And last but not
- 5:07least, you have Grizzle Tooth,
- 5:09the currently unconscious, if
- 5:13not dead, Bugbear bouncer from
- 5:18the Rock Bottom club. And to
- 5:21top off that horrific
- 5:22possibility, you guys have
- 5:25just heard an announcement go
- 5:26over the loudspeakers of this
- 5:27factory telling you that you
- 5:29have 1 minute and 30 seconds
- 5:31to evacuate because this place
- 5:33is about to blow. what do you
- 5:35do?
- 5:36>> Speaker D: Did I get all the stuff out of
- 5:39the safe.
- 5:42>> Speaker B: I. I will have you, you know,
- 5:46>> Speaker D: because I was going to the
- 5:47safe with my held action.
- 5:48>> Speaker B: You did. Yes, you did dive for
- 5:50it. Yep.
- 5:51>> Speaker D: Okay.
- 5:51>> Speaker B: Roll a. I'm gonna call it
- 5:53sleight of hand. Not because
- 5:55you're trying to do something
- 5:55secretly.
- 5:57>> Speaker D: Well, I rolled a natural 19
- 6:00and then I add 12 to it. Okay.
- 6:04I don't know what that is. 31.
- 6:06>> Speaker B: Yeah, I would say yes.
- 6:09>> Speaker D: Oh, I did get it all.
- 6:11>> Speaker B: Yes.
- 6:11>> Speaker D: Okay.
- 6:11>> Speaker B: There's no reason not.
- 6:13>> Speaker D: I mean, I rolled 31 with that
- 6:14much.
- 6:14>> Speaker B: With that high of a roll.
- 6:16>> Speaker D: I think it was my action. Yes.
- 6:18Because I held my action to. I
- 6:21did it, and then I attacked
- 6:23the guy when it came all the
- 6:24way back to my next turn. Oh,
- 6:25okay.
- 6:26>> Speaker B: So in the meantime, between
- 6:27your action, or I guess
- 6:28between that action, basically
- 6:30I was grab.
- 6:30>> Speaker D: I like reach. I guess I did in
- 6:32one motion because I had my.
- 6:34My bag folding. Yeah. And I
- 6:36just, like one motion. Just
- 6:37moved everything in the bag
- 6:39really quick.
- 6:39>> Speaker B: Put your armor.
- 6:40>> Speaker D: And I turned around and I saw
- 6:41all this combat, and that's
- 6:43when I stepped in. But also,
- 6:44he did monologue.
- 6:46>> Speaker B: He did monologue a bit. That's
- 6:47true. And he also. Yeah, when
- 6:49he was dying, when he was
- 6:50laying there in pieces thanks
- 6:51to Keto slicing him into
- 6:53chunks and Maki's shadow, Dog
- 6:55ripping him several.
- 6:57>> Speaker D: And his meteor shower,
- 6:58whatever he did.
- 6:58>> Speaker B: Oh, yeah, and the meteor
- 6:59shower. Yep, that's right.
- 7:01Tearing into pieces. he did
- 7:03have some time in his sort of
- 7:04robotic remaining state to say
- 7:07some things that hopefully you
- 7:09guys remember. we'll see. with
- 7:11that being said, you've got a.
- 7:13A bag of holding with a bunch
- 7:15of stuff from this safe in it.
- 7:17You guys.
- 7:18>> Speaker D: You're gonna tell me or you
- 7:19gonna wait till after this?
- 7:20>> Speaker B: Oh, I'll wait till after.
- 7:21Because you. You don't have
- 7:22time to look in there right
- 7:23now.
- 7:24>> Speaker D: I just was to write it down.
- 7:26>> Speaker B: Oh, yeah, yeah, no, I'll
- 7:27remember. I'll remember.
- 7:28Mostly because I haven't fully
- 7:30made up what's in there yet.
- 7:32So.
- 7:32>> Speaker D: Okay, well, I guess by the
- 7:35time
- 7:35>> Speaker B: you guys manage to escape,
- 7:36which is one.
- 7:37>> Speaker D: It does matter if I need to go
- 7:38back to the safe before I ran.
- 7:41>> Speaker B: No, I mean, if you grabbed
- 7:42everything in there.
- 7:42>> Speaker D: Yeah.
- 7:43>> Speaker B: Then you're good.
- 7:43>> Speaker C: So did you guys hear what I
- 7:45heard just now?
- 7:47>> Speaker B: we gotta get out here.
- 7:49>> Speaker C: Are there any of those
- 7:51combatants on the main factory
- 7:53floor left still?
- 7:54>> Speaker B: the. The ones that are left
- 7:56are currently like. So you had
- 7:58your friends from the rock
- 7:59bottoms that Were just like,
- 8:00you guys go on ahead. We'll
- 8:01fight them down here. so
- 8:03there's a whole pile, a circle
- 8:04around your friends, that are
- 8:06just dead bodies, but
- 8:08otherwise, anyone that was
- 8:09still alive, they are just
- 8:10booking it out of this
- 8:11facility. So they're taking
- 8:13this pretty seriously.
- 8:14>> Speaker E: real quick, we are on in an
- 8:16office. Yes, the office. It's
- 8:18elevated, but is it on a wall
- 8:20of the factory?
- 8:21>> Speaker B: Yes. On the back wall?
- 8:22>> Speaker E: Yep, on the back wall. did the
- 8:25boss break a hole in that wall
- 8:27last time? He broke a window.
- 8:29>> Speaker B: The window that overlooks the
- 8:31facility. But what I will tell
- 8:32you is there is a window
- 8:34behind you.
- 8:35>> Speaker E: DEZ jumps out that window.
- 8:37>> Speaker B: Do you want me to tell you how
- 8:38high up it is or. Don't care.
- 8:39>> Speaker E: Don't care.
- 8:40>> Speaker B: Okay, just.
- 8:40>> Speaker E: Des out.
- 8:41>> Speaker B: Des jumps up. You guys watch
- 8:43as DEZ looks at you guys and
- 8:45then just leaps out, Shatters
- 8:48the tree. It's not like heavy
- 8:49glass by any. Are Kenku
- 8:51flightless birds or. They fly.
- 8:52>> Speaker E: They do not fly.
- 8:54>> Speaker B: Do not fly.
- 8:54>> Speaker D: Yes, I wave. I wave bye to,
- 8:56them.
- 8:56>> Speaker E: They're as salute.
- 8:58>> Speaker B: Wings are, ah, just too small
- 9:00for the big fat bodies.
- 9:02>> Speaker D: Doing a B movie, Bill.
- 9:03>> Speaker B: Yes, thank you. What about the
- 9:06rest of you guys? Is he dead?
- 9:07No, he just jumped out the
- 9:08window. Are you. Here's my
- 9:10question to you, Lil Sauce.
- 9:12Are you just gonna stare out
- 9:13the window? You have a minute
- 9:14and 30 seconds to get out of
- 9:15this. Oh, no, you're just
- 9:16gonna look out the window and
- 9:17watch. Did he make it?
- 9:19>> Speaker D: Well, I mean, he jumps. It
- 9:21won't take that long for him
- 9:22>> Speaker B: to hit the ground. That's
- 9:22true.
- 9:23>> Speaker D: You're not. I mean, by the
- 9:24time he dropped, I mean,
- 9:25you're looking at maybe like
- 9:26three seconds.
- 9:27>> Speaker B: Did he die?
- 9:28>> Speaker D: Depends on his terminal
- 9:29velocity and air resistance
- 9:31and magic. Also depends on
- 9:32what he does before he lands.
- 9:35What do you land on? I look
- 9:36out the window. What do you
- 9:37land on?
- 9:37>> Speaker E: I've got ideas. I've got
- 9:39ideas.
- 9:39>> Speaker B: The ground down there. It's.
- 9:40He.
- 9:41>> Speaker D: Okay.
- 9:41>> Speaker E: I want my swarm to catch me.
- 9:44>> Speaker D: Okay. Okay. Yeah.
- 9:45>> Speaker C: All right.
- 9:46>> Speaker E: My little twig guys.
- 9:48>> Speaker B: Do they have. They have stats,
- 9:49right?
- 9:49>> Speaker E: Yeah, I think so.
- 9:51>> Speaker D: Yeah.
- 9:51>> Speaker B: do a strength save.
- 9:54>> Speaker D: Keto had a spell cast on him
- 9:56before the caster of said
- 9:57spell was knocked unconscious.
- 9:59Does he still retain that
- 10:00spell?
- 10:01>> Speaker B: That's a good question. I'm
- 10:02glad that you asked that,
- 10:04because that was something
- 10:05that was kind of going through
- 10:06my mind as well. Okay. Yes, it
- 10:09does require, concentration,
- 10:11so. Because Lil Sauce casted
- 10:13on you and he was Knocked
- 10:14unconscious. You do not have
- 10:16spider climb anymore.
- 10:17>> Speaker D: Okay.
- 10:18>> Speaker B: Sorry.
- 10:18>> Speaker D: Well, I'm glad we asked before
- 10:19I jumped out the.
- 10:20>> Speaker B: That's a very fair point.
- 10:22>> Speaker D: Is the, bomb, like, right in
- 10:23front of us?
- 10:24>> Speaker B: You have no idea where the
- 10:25bomb is? You just heard the
- 10:26announcement when. When you
- 10:29defeated him. It kind of
- 10:30seemed like there's one of two
- 10:33possibilities here. Because
- 10:34you saw a red light sort of in
- 10:36a beeping sound inside the
- 10:38chest.
- 10:38>> Speaker D: Did we see that?
- 10:39>> Speaker E: Yeah, I think he did.
- 10:40>> Speaker D: I thought the only one.
- 10:42>> Speaker B: Yeah.
- 10:43>> Speaker D: Oh, I thought he was behind
- 10:44his desk. Sorry.
- 10:44>> Speaker B: No, no, no.
- 10:45>> Speaker D: Like, it was in his chest.
- 10:46>> Speaker B: There's a. Yes, there's a
- 10:47beeping and a sort of
- 10:48throbbing red light pulsating,
- 10:51in the chest of Augustus. So
- 10:53you're led to believe two
- 10:54things. One of two things.
- 10:55Either the bomb is inside of
- 10:57his chest, or there's a bomb
- 10:59somewhere in this facility
- 11:00that was activated by
- 11:02whatever's inside of his chest
- 11:03that obviously went off when
- 11:05his. When he dies.
- 11:07>> Speaker D: Do we have the Rocky Cocky.
- 11:08>> Speaker B: Yeah, somebody does.
- 11:11>> Speaker E: There is no stat block for the
- 11:12swarm.
- 11:13>> Speaker B: Oh, okay. I'll have you do a,
- 11:15strict save if we.
- 11:16>> Speaker D: If time stops when we go into
- 11:18the arcade. Correct. Yes.
- 11:20Jarjun, We m. Want to level
- 11:22up. Who has the rock. If it's
- 11:25him, we're screwed.
- 11:26>> Speaker B: I. I do wanna.
- 11:27>> Speaker D: I think it would be. Really.
- 11:28>> Speaker E: Des never carries the rock.
- 11:30>> Speaker B: That's fair.
- 11:31>> Speaker D: Nor does Kido. Which one
- 11:32picked it up after the, the
- 11:34cultist thing?
- 11:35>> Speaker B: Maki, maybe.
- 11:37>> Speaker D: We found it in that one room,
- 11:38right?
- 11:39>> Speaker B: Oh, yeah, I think you did.
- 11:40>> Speaker D: Yeah. I thought it was Maki.
- 11:42Maki, quick, tell Jarjum that
- 11:44we want to go to the arcade.
- 11:45It freezes time. We can think
- 11:46this through. It freezes time
- 11:48here or it gets sucked up
- 11:49there.
- 11:50>> Speaker B: No, freezes time here. We'll
- 11:52get sucked up there.
- 11:53>> Speaker D: It freezes time here. So we
- 11:55can at least sink this
- 11:56through.
- 11:58>> Speaker C: Okay. Hey, Darjee.
- 11:59>> Speaker D: Mom. Yeah.
- 12:00>> Speaker C: Nice. How about a trip to that
- 12:03arcade of yours?
- 12:03>> Speaker B: Oh, you guys ready to level
- 12:05up? Oh, did you find something
- 12:07cool in that factory? Oh,
- 12:09yeah. Oh, very nice. What did
- 12:11you find?
- 12:12>> Speaker C: It would blow your mind, what
- 12:13we found.
- 12:14>> Speaker B: Oh, man. Tell me about it.
- 12:18>> Speaker D: Time pause. All this is up?
- 12:19Nope. That's why I thought you
- 12:22on the arcade.
- 12:22>> Speaker B: Oh, all right. And a portal
- 12:24open, or. Actually, no, portal
- 12:25doesn't open up. You just. You
- 12:26just. You all start glowing.
- 12:29Yeah. You start going. I guess
- 12:32so. You're, like, falling
- 12:33through the air. Des. And then
- 12:35you're like, oh, here comes
- 12:36the ground. This is gonna
- 12:37hurt. And then you suddenly
- 12:39get sucked into this arcade as
- 12:42well.
- 12:42>> Speaker D: Let's go way. Does that cancel
- 12:46out my velocity, momentum and
- 12:48velocity pause?
- 12:49>> Speaker B: Yeah, I mean, he. So it pauses
- 12:52everything, including your
- 12:53location. You're not being put
- 12:54anywhere different when you go
- 12:56into the arcade and then you
- 12:57come back out. Right.
- 12:58>> Speaker E: Or you think it's like a.
- 12:59>> Speaker B: Which is interesting. I've
- 13:00always thought about that.
- 13:01It's our subconscious, that is
- 13:02entering the arcade.
- 13:04>> Speaker E: Paused world mental imagery.
- 13:07>> Speaker B: Yeah, I like that. So, yeah,
- 13:08basically your physical bodies
- 13:10and everything in this world
- 13:11is essentially frozen in time.
- 13:13And then, yeah, your mental.
- 13:15Mental state, or visit astral
- 13:18projection. Yes. Is teleported
- 13:20to this arcade. And you guys
- 13:23find yourself inside the level
- 13:24up arcade. And, there's all
- 13:26kinds of arcade games around
- 13:28you. All sort of blinking
- 13:29lights. And, you see the
- 13:31robot, Benji Boy? Benji, he's.
- 13:34He's just playing. He doesn't
- 13:36even turn to look at you guys
- 13:37because he's like in. He's a.
- 13:38He's in a game really, like
- 13:39intensely, right? Yeah, he's a
- 13:41gamer, boy. He's a gamer.
- 13:42Benji boy. you see the. The
- 13:44prize booth, you see the coin
- 13:46machine, and there's Jar Jim
- 13:48standing there and he says,
- 13:48welcome back to the level up
- 13:50arcade. What kind of cool
- 13:51stuff did you find in that
- 13:52nifty factory? tell me all
- 13:54about it.
- 13:55>> Speaker D: So why didn't we just. I
- 13:57ignore him. Why didn't we
- 13:58just, like, run out the front
- 13:59door? We still can. Why are we
- 14:03here? To think about if
- 14:05there's enough time to see if
- 14:06we still can.
- 14:07>> Speaker E: There was like, DEZ gestures
- 14:09to himself
- 14:09>> Speaker D: and then like, do what DEZ did
- 14:11and we could just land on dez.
- 14:13Are you okay?
- 14:14>> Speaker E: He bats himself down, nods.
- 14:18>> Speaker D: You guys just want to jump out
- 14:19the window? oh, sorry, Jar
- 14:20Jim. Give us two minutes.
- 14:22>> Speaker B: I'm, sure. Can I listen?
- 14:24>> Speaker D: Yeah.
- 14:24>> Speaker C: Oh, cool.
- 14:25>> Speaker B: I like being part of the
- 14:26huddle, basically.
- 14:28>> Speaker D: You have any ideas, Jar Jim?
- 14:29Basically, there's a big old
- 14:31bomb about to go off. We got a
- 14:33minute 30 to get out of there.
- 14:34We about to come here and talk
- 14:35it out first.
- 14:36>> Speaker B: Did you guys already ask your
- 14:37question from the day?
- 14:38>> Speaker D: No.
- 14:38>> Speaker B: No. any ideas? Is that what
- 14:40you wanted to ask me?
- 14:42>> Speaker D: Well, that's a yes or no
- 14:43question. So no, he could just
- 14:44say, yeah, I got an idea. Look
- 14:46at you're thinking it through
- 14:47there.
- 14:47>> Speaker E: Little sauce.
- 14:48>> Speaker B: I'm proud of you.
- 14:49>> Speaker D: This was just conversation.
- 14:51>> Speaker B: Oh, interesting, interesting.
- 14:53There's a lot of people. I
- 14:55tell them, you get free yes or
- 14:56no questions. They say, well,
- 14:57could we just have a
- 14:58conversation?
- 14:58>> Speaker D: What do you mean by a lot of
- 15:00people?
- 15:00>> Speaker B: Oh, man, so many people who
- 15:02I've spoken with.
- 15:03>> Speaker D: I say, who else are you
- 15:05talking to? Oh.
- 15:06>> Speaker B: Why? Are you jealous?
- 15:08>> Speaker D: Yeah. I thought we're the only
- 15:09ones trapped in this world.
- 15:12>> Speaker B: are you saying fine for me,
- 15:14Trapped? Technically speaking,
- 15:18there's only probably one,
- 15:21maybe two others that I can
- 15:23think of off the top of my
- 15:24head that are technically
- 15:25trapped in this.
- 15:26>> Speaker D: So they're like us?
- 15:27>> Speaker B: define like us.
- 15:27>> Speaker D: well, we're all from, you
- 15:29know, the other. These aren't
- 15:31our bodies.
- 15:32>> Speaker B: The material plane.
- 15:33>> Speaker D: Sure. I don't know what any of
- 15:35that means, but you know what
- 15:37I mean. These aren't our
- 15:38bodies.
- 15:39>> Speaker B: The Overworld. The bigger
- 15:40world.
- 15:41>> Speaker D: Oh, sure, yeah. Okay, so
- 15:43there's other people from the
- 15:44Overworld down here.
- 15:45>> Speaker B: defined people. And he does,
- 15:48like, air quotes.
- 15:49>> Speaker D: No, I'm done defining things.
- 15:51Just.
- 15:52>> Speaker B: I'm trying to answer your
- 15:53questions.
- 15:55>> Speaker D: I point to the four of us and
- 15:57I go, like us? We're all from
- 15:59Overworld.
- 16:02>> Speaker B: There are, like I said, at
- 16:03least two others I can think
- 16:05of that are in quotations.
- 16:07Trapped like you, from the
- 16:11Overworld.
- 16:12>> Speaker D: Why didn't we get paired with
- 16:14them?
- 16:15>> Speaker B: they've been here a lot longer
- 16:17than you guys have. Especially
- 16:19one of them.
- 16:20>> Speaker D: Who are they?
- 16:22>> Speaker B: Maybe I don't want to do you?
- 16:24Let's say one of them was just
- 16:27a nasty old hag that I wasn't
- 16:30a big fan of, and she really
- 16:31upset me. She tried to cheat
- 16:33me. And so I made her a deal
- 16:36and she lost. And then I put
- 16:38her in the Islandubis. And now
- 16:41that I think about it, the
- 16:42other one actually kind of was
- 16:44the same concept.
- 16:45>> Speaker D: Why are we here?
- 16:46>> Speaker E: Again, DEZ points to Rorick,
- 16:48and this raises his eyebrows.
- 16:51If he can see a Kinku's
- 16:52eyebrows,
- 16:53>> Speaker D: is it all, Right.
- 16:54>> Speaker E: It writes on his whiteboard.
- 16:56there seems to be a pattern
- 16:57with people who get stuck in
- 16:58here.
- 16:59>> Speaker D: But why do you trap them?
- 17:00>> Speaker B: Who?
- 17:01>> Speaker D: The rest of my friends. I know
- 17:04I'm in here because I threw
- 17:07you into that lake and you got
- 17:08eaten by all the meat sharks
- 17:09and stuff. But, like, why are
- 17:11they.
- 17:12>> Speaker B: I figured it was. It would
- 17:14have been a real lonely
- 17:15experience for you.
- 17:16>> Speaker D: Rock.
- 17:16>> Speaker B: And also, well, I'm good at
- 17:19making friends.
- 17:20>> Speaker D: And I pull up my list that I
- 17:22just made. I've got like,
- 17:23seven on this list.
- 17:25>> Speaker B: That's good. There's some good
- 17:27souls down there back then.
- 17:29well, no, that would be.
- 17:31>> Speaker D: I can handle it. No, I'm a
- 17:34brave Adventurer. Also, keep
- 17:36in mind I don't want them here
- 17:37because of me.
- 17:38>> Speaker B: Well, you know, you guys all
- 17:39were in the boat at the time
- 17:41when I got thrown into the
- 17:42waters. Anyone could have
- 17:44stopped you.
- 17:45>> Speaker D: Well, they did cheer.
- 17:46>> Speaker B: They did cheers.
- 17:48>> Speaker D: True.
- 17:48>> Speaker B: And I like to look at a group
- 17:50as a rock guy through.
- 17:52>> Speaker D: You helped me. Who boy? this
- 17:55is outside of this recording.
- 17:58I was gonna say this is way
- 17:59before we serve the contest.
- 18:01>> Speaker B: Very critical role. Like they
- 18:02had started before they
- 18:03started.
- 18:03>> Speaker D: The context was I made a bet
- 18:07that I could throw him really
- 18:09far into the lake and he
- 18:11couldn't get back before dying
- 18:13because I knew it was like
- 18:15shark infested wires.
- 18:16>> Speaker B: It was a, it was a creature in
- 18:18the underdark whose name is
- 18:20very hard to pronounce.
- 18:21>> Speaker D: So what happened was I rolled
- 18:24a nat one to throw him into
- 18:26the water and I failed to even
- 18:29throw him. Like, I tried to
- 18:30shot put him and instead I
- 18:31just kind of. He slipped out
- 18:32of my hands before I threw
- 18:34him, and he just kind of fell
- 18:35into the boat when I was in.
- 18:36And so I asked for help from
- 18:39the rock guy. There was like a
- 18:41rock troll thing. He would
- 18:43talk really slow.
- 18:44>> Speaker B: Yes, it was.
- 18:47>> Speaker D: He was like my best friend on
- 18:48that trip. Yes. And then I
- 18:50asked him to help me throw him
- 18:52Jar Jim. And we both threw him
- 18:55really far into it because,
- 18:57like, we rolled both, like 20
- 18:58plus.
- 18:59>> Speaker B: And the monsters in the water,
- 19:00you saw them like overtake.
- 19:02>> Speaker D: Overtake him and kill. And
- 19:03then that was that.
- 19:05>> Speaker B: He died.
- 19:05>> Speaker D: And then we went to bed on the
- 19:07boat. And then in the middle
- 19:08of night, I woke up to Jar Jim
- 19:10waking me up. And he's like,
- 19:12you lost the bet. You lost the
- 19:13bet. Pay up. And I said, I
- 19:15just bet you you couldn't swim
- 19:16back from the thing. I didn't
- 19:18bet you. That would be on my
- 19:19first throw. And that was
- 19:20where we ended the session.
- 19:22And then next session was
- 19:23criminals of Island Numis. So
- 19:25there's context. So now
- 19:29Roerich was gonna say, what
- 19:31about the rap guy who helped
- 19:32throw you?
- 19:33>> Speaker B: So just to clarify, you,
- 19:35because you left the other
- 19:37side of the bet like the. The.
- 19:39What do you call it? The
- 19:40winnings or the terms.
- 19:41>> Speaker D: Yeah, Open. Yes.
- 19:42>> Speaker B: It was kind of up to him.
- 19:43>> Speaker D: Oh, no, he's. He's the God of.
- 19:45Now I know he's. I didn't know
- 19:47that at the time. In our
- 19:48context of our game, he was
- 19:50just a gnome who liked to
- 19:52gamble.
- 19:52>> Speaker B: Right.
- 19:53>> Speaker D: He just wanted to make bets
- 19:54whenever he could. But now we
- 19:56know he's the God of gambling
- 19:58and mischief. So it makes
- 20:00sense.
- 20:01>> Speaker B: So anyway, the rock guy, or
- 20:02whatever he was.
- 20:04>> Speaker D: What about the rock guy who,
- 20:05helped throw you into the lake
- 20:06with me?
- 20:07>> Speaker B: Well, I figured he wasn't
- 20:09really with you guys. He was.
- 20:10>> Speaker D: But he was my best friend. New
- 20:13best friend.
- 20:14>> Speaker B: And he puts. He reaches up m.
- 20:15And he puts his hand on your
- 20:16shoulder and he says. I'm
- 20:17gonna be honest. Leaving him
- 20:19there without you guys was a
- 20:22lot worse than sending him
- 20:24here.
- 20:25>> Speaker D: Did the boat sink?
- 20:27>> Speaker B: because it was a big, big
- 20:28>> Speaker D: bad thing over there. Oh,
- 20:29There is, like a Kraken or
- 20:31something.
- 20:32>> Speaker B: Crazy stuff going on in the
- 20:34underdog
- 20:36>> Speaker D: desk. Stabbed it in the eye.
- 20:38>> Speaker B: I was going to say the first
- 20:39time you guys met, Des was
- 20:40also, like, immediately before
- 20:42he got sent into island. You
- 20:44joined with the group, and
- 20:45immediately you got thrown in
- 20:47with these guys. The whole
- 20:48island numis thing. But he
- 20:49was. He was epically jumping,
- 20:52like, off a. A toppling
- 20:54building with his triton up in
- 20:55the air, coming down on top of
- 20:57this giant Kraken, like,
- 20:58monster.
- 20:59>> Speaker E: What was that other guy's
- 21:00name?
- 21:00>> Speaker D: Yeah, someone died. Your other
- 21:02character died?
- 21:03>> Speaker E: Yeah, he was. He was torn
- 21:04apart by that big monster
- 21:06thing. Right, right.
- 21:08>> Speaker D: What's his name? You know,
- 21:09what's his name?
- 21:09>> Speaker E: Whoever it was.
- 21:10>> Speaker B: So many names.
- 21:12>> Speaker D: And then we met Dust. Des knew
- 21:15us for not even a full day.
- 21:17And you got me trapped in a
- 21:19pocket dimension. And I can't
- 21:21speak, so I will bring that
- 21:22up. I'll be like, well, we
- 21:24knew the rock guy for at least
- 21:25a week. Des. We just met. Why
- 21:29is he here?
- 21:30>> Speaker B: Well, he seemed pretty intent
- 21:32to hang out with you guys. The
- 21:33stone guy.
- 21:34>> Speaker E: Des, gives a thumbs up.
- 21:36>> Speaker B: He, puts his hand on your
- 21:36shoulder again. Or he's like,
- 21:38I'm sorry to be the one to do
- 21:39tell you this, but your
- 21:40friendship didn't go both ways
- 21:43with that guy.
- 21:44>> Speaker D: I thought he was going to say
- 21:45the ship sank. I thought he
- 21:47was going to say his feelings
- 21:48were romantic.
- 21:50>> Speaker B: I got you out of a nasty
- 21:52situation. Now I'm sorry.
- 21:54>> Speaker D: Are you going to be okay? Oh,
- 21:56I'll be fine. Okay. Because I,
- 21:57I've. I've lost a lot worse.
- 22:00But now you guys got me.
- 22:02Speaking of which, why, Why
- 22:04didn't we get other people?
- 22:06Jarjan, what would I be if we
- 22:08get out of here? What would
- 22:09you make me? Wouldn't you be
- 22:11just yourself? I don't want to
- 22:13be a Kenku. Haven't you been a
- 22:15Kenku your whole life? Well,
- 22:16yeah, but, I mean, if you guys
- 22:19got to change into something
- 22:20new, maybe not by choice.
- 22:22Still. Oh, you could have to
- 22:24be a dwarf. Dwarves are the
- 22:25best. Whatever you do, don't
- 22:27pick elf man. I look straight
- 22:31up.
- 22:32>> Speaker B: I'll tell you what any good
- 22:34parent would tell their child.
- 22:35You can be whatever you want
- 22:37to be.
- 22:38>> Speaker D: Anyways, any, any ideas on how
- 22:40to, like, maybe get, us out of
- 22:42this, building? I don't know
- 22:43if I'm in at 30 is enough to
- 22:45run downstairs. We can just
- 22:46jump out the window.
- 22:48>> Speaker B: You could always just jump out
- 22:49of.
- 22:49>> Speaker D: What do you got for, like, you
- 22:50know, tickets and stuff like
- 22:52that? You got any special
- 22:53abilities I can spend digits
- 22:54on?
- 22:56>> Speaker B: I mean, look at the document.
- 22:58>> Speaker D: Well, I mean, yeah.
- 22:58>> Speaker B: I mean, there's all kinds of
- 23:00useful things in there.
- 23:03>> Speaker C: Hey, what about this cloak
- 23:04here?
- 23:05>> Speaker B: This dark cloak?
- 23:07>> Speaker C: Hey, this. This might fit me.
- 23:09He's, looking at the cloak of
- 23:11the bat.
- 23:12>> Speaker B: Oh, the cloak of the cloak of
- 23:15the bat. And you're standing
- 23:16over by the, prize booth, of
- 23:18course. And you're looking at
- 23:21the cloak of the bat. you have
- 23:24advantage on dexterity.
- 23:25Darity. Stealth checks in an
- 23:26area of dim light or darkness.
- 23:28You can use it to fly at a
- 23:31speed of 40ft once per day.
- 23:33You can use your action to
- 23:34polymorph yourself.
- 23:35Transforming into a bat. He
- 23:38says. Oh, yeah. Well, I mean,
- 23:39hey, whoever wears something
- 23:40like that, sure, they'd
- 23:42probably be just fine. They
- 23:43could fly right out of that
- 23:44window.
- 23:45>> Speaker D: How many of those do you have
- 23:46in stock?
- 23:47>> Speaker B: Oh, enough for everybody. But
- 23:48you got 6,000 tickets a piece.
- 23:50That's the real question.
- 23:53>> Speaker C: I'm a little short.
- 23:54>> Speaker D: We got 2,000. I could just
- 23:56cast feather fall.
- 23:58>> Speaker B: Sure.
- 23:58>> Speaker C: Oh, you know that.
- 23:59>> Speaker D: Yeah, I got it because of that
- 24:02one time I was really high up
- 24:04in the rafters, you know, when
- 24:07we fought that little freak.
- 24:09Silly fruit. No, I. Silly
- 24:11frilly Willie.
- 24:12>> Speaker B: What?
- 24:12>> Speaker D: That freak.
- 24:13>> Speaker B: You're a freak.
- 24:15>> Speaker D: Not me. Why'd you say that?
- 24:17>> Speaker B: That is.
- 24:18>> Speaker D: It's like your third word.
- 24:19You'll freak at me. He's just
- 24:22mimicking what he said.
- 24:24>> Speaker E: That's gonna be added to Dez's
- 24:26lexicon.
- 24:27>> Speaker B: Yes, Yes.
- 24:27>> Speaker D: I love that.
- 24:29>> Speaker B: That's a great line to have.
- 24:32>> Speaker D: So, I'm sorry. I'm shaken from
- 24:35just Des's third phrase being
- 24:38just yelling freak.
- 24:39>> Speaker B: It's pretty incredible.
- 24:41>> Speaker D: All right. it was when we're
- 24:42in that we try to kill
- 24:44McGriddle. That wasn't
- 24:46McGriddle. You know, when I
- 24:47almost died?
- 24:48>> Speaker B: Oh, the demon puppets.
- 24:49>> Speaker E: Yeah.
- 24:50>> Speaker D: I got knocked out. Anyways, I
- 24:52was like, what if I fell from
- 24:53that high up I would have
- 24:55died. So I got feather fall
- 24:57last time we were here when I
- 24:58leveled up. And feather fall,
- 25:01when I was reading the spell
- 25:02description. Did you guys know
- 25:04you could just read spell
- 25:05descriptions in this place?
- 25:06Like, it's a little box that
- 25:08shows up when you pick spells.
- 25:09>> Speaker B: Like, interface. Like this.
- 25:10>> Speaker D: It's pretty cool. Anyways, it
- 25:13said I could cast it on up to
- 25:14five people, so. Well, DEZ is
- 25:18already gone, but, there's
- 25:19four of us, so now.
- 25:21>> Speaker C: Well, that's.
- 25:21>> Speaker D: That's. What does he do? It
- 25:23makes it so you let me. And I.
- 25:25I, like, move my hands, so,
- 25:27like, a little text box pops
- 25:29up in front of me, and I go,
- 25:31feather fall. And I'm, like,
- 25:33scrolling through it. Ah. yes.
- 25:34Feather fall. It says. Choose
- 25:37up to five falling creatures
- 25:38within range. A fallen
- 25:40creature. Rate of descent
- 25:41slows to 60ft per second until
- 25:44the spell ends. If the
- 25:45creature lands before the
- 25:46spell ends, it takes no fallen
- 25:48damage and can land on its
- 25:49feet. Well, that's convenient.
- 25:51Is that our plan? We can jump
- 25:53out the window. I was going to
- 25:55suggest it, and then he just
- 25:56jumped out the windows. But
- 25:58first, I'm going to cast
- 25:59healing word on the guy down
- 26:02there. Oh, what about me? I
- 26:03already used it on you. That's
- 26:05how I revived you. But I can
- 26:06use it again. But there's
- 26:07someone knocked out down
- 26:08there. That big guy. I like
- 26:10him. Grizzle.
- 26:11>> Speaker B: Grizzle tooth.
- 26:11>> Speaker D: Yeah, Grizzle tooth. I was
- 26:13going to cast it on him, and
- 26:14then we could jump out. That's
- 26:16fair. I'm just saying, if I
- 26:17take another hit, I'm going
- 26:18to. I'm going. I'm going down.
- 26:19Well, again, I could just heal
- 26:21you again. We don't get a lot
- 26:23of time. Okay, we'll jump out.
- 26:25Is that the plan? I mean, it's
- 26:27a simple plan. Did anyone want
- 26:29to level up while we're here?
- 26:32>> Speaker E: DEZ holds up a finger and
- 26:33writes, osborne, before we
- 26:35leave, I want to buy two large
- 26:37tokens.
- 26:38>> Speaker B: Two large tokens.
- 26:40>> Speaker C: All right.
- 26:40>> Speaker B: You walk up, and your coins
- 26:43shoot out of your little, coin
- 26:45pouch and into the machine and
- 26:46out pop two large tokens.
- 26:50Which game would you like to
- 26:51play?
- 26:52>> Speaker E: Wheel of Mystery.
- 26:53>> Speaker B: Wheel of, Mystery.
- 26:55>> Speaker E: Des doesn't say that, but he
- 26:57does gesture to the wheel of
- 26:58Mystery. and just for record's
- 27:00sake, so that I can use my
- 27:01D20, I did roll a 19 on that
- 27:05strength save.
- 27:06>> Speaker B: Oh, okay. Okay, sounds good.
- 27:07>> Speaker D: We.
- 27:08>> Speaker E: I rolled it, but it never
- 27:09came. But I really like that
- 27:10roll, so
- 27:10>> Speaker B: I want to keep it so you'll be
- 27:12all right. All right, perfect.
- 27:13So with the Wheel of Mystery,
- 27:14you can roll with any skill.
- 27:16So go ahead and choose a
- 27:18skill, tell me what you go
- 27:19with, and give me that roll.
- 27:21And these are large tokens.
- 27:22>> Speaker D: Are you just spinning the
- 27:23wheel again?
- 27:24>> Speaker E: I'm just spinning the wheel
- 27:26again. any skill. But the
- 27:28large prizes are plus one, any
- 27:30level, right?
- 27:32>> Speaker B: yeah.
- 27:32>> Speaker E: Okay. So I can just say it's
- 27:34based
- 27:34>> Speaker B: on how successful you are.
- 27:35>> Speaker E: So I could just say I'm going
- 27:37to use. I'm going to use my
- 27:41strength.
- 27:41>> Speaker B: Okay.
- 27:42>> Speaker D: Let me use strength.
- 27:43>> Speaker B: Sounds good.
- 27:49>> Speaker E: Oh, that is a, 22.
- 27:52>> Speaker B: 22 plus one level in any
- 27:57class. Or it's. It's a little.
- 28:00Whatever, little toy thing
- 28:02that comes out. Yes. I was
- 28:04gonna say you're. You're a bit
- 28:05behind, and I. I felt really
- 28:06bad about that for so long.
- 28:08And then with a 22, you get
- 28:121200 tickets. That just comes
- 28:14spewing out of this wheel.
- 28:16>> Speaker E: Okay. So let me write that
- 28:18down because I will forget
- 28:19that, everybody else,
- 28:20>> Speaker B: except for DEZ and Lil Sauce,
- 28:24are significantly higher level
- 28:26than Lil Sauce.
- 28:28>> Speaker E: I took a level in barbarian.
- 28:30>> Speaker B: Okay.
- 28:30>> Speaker E: Anyway, I'm, going to spin the
- 28:33wheel again.
- 28:34>> Speaker D: Oh, boy.
- 28:34>> Speaker B: He's going at it again.
- 28:42>> Speaker E: To five.
- 28:44>> Speaker D: Good lord.
- 28:45>> Speaker B: Oh, boy.
- 28:46>> Speaker D: Is that a one?
- 28:47>> Speaker E: It is a one. It was a nat one.
- 28:49But with my modifiers of five,
- 28:50don't
- 28:51>> Speaker D: you have to tell if it's in
- 28:52that one?
- 28:52>> Speaker B: in this case, I wouldn't think
- 28:54about it. interesting. You are
- 28:56a ranger.
- 28:58>> Speaker D: Huh? Huh?
- 28:59>> Speaker E: Three Ranger.
- 29:01>> Speaker B: The ability to spell cast.
- 29:03>> Speaker E: Yes.
- 29:04>> Speaker B: Okay. Because you would get
- 29:05two spells.
- 29:07>> Speaker E: I mean, I've got class action
- 29:09spells, but. Yeah, Rangers do
- 29:11spells, but they don't have,
- 29:13like, I can change.
- 29:14>> Speaker B: I'll change it. Because of the
- 29:16fact that you don't have.
- 29:16Because you don't have spell
- 29:17slots.
- 29:18>> Speaker D: Okay.
- 29:19>> Speaker B: You just have. Right.
- 29:20>> Speaker E: Yeah, but they're like class
- 29:21actions, like in Searing
- 29:22Strike.
- 29:23>> Speaker B: And it'll usually say, like,
- 29:24you can cast this once per
- 29:25day.
- 29:25>> Speaker E: Yeah, I get. Cure wounds I can
- 29:28free once a day. Yeah. Bonus
- 29:29spells free once a day.
- 29:30>> Speaker B: Okay, let's go with, a feat.
- 29:33>> Speaker E: A feat.
- 29:34>> Speaker B: Yes.
- 29:35>> Speaker E: What am I, a freak?
- 29:37>> Speaker B: You get the, What's your
- 29:39charisma?
- 29:39>> Speaker E: What's my charisma? My
- 29:41charisma is currently 13.
- 29:44>> Speaker B: That's perfect. Okay. You get
- 29:45the inspiring leader feat.
- 29:47>> Speaker D: Okay.
- 29:48>> Speaker B: So, it requires that you have
- 29:49a charisma of 13 or higher. So
- 29:50that's perfect. up to six
- 29:52creatures within 30ft of you
- 29:54can gain temporary HP equal to
- 29:57your level plus your charisma
- 29:58modifier.
- 29:59>> Speaker E: Cool.
- 29:59>> Speaker B: Yeah.
- 30:00>> Speaker E: I'm gonna do that constantly.
- 30:02>> Speaker B: Good, good. Awesome. There's
- 30:04no point in having a feed if
- 30:05you never use it. How
- 30:08>> Speaker D: does he use this if he can't
- 30:10talk?
- 30:10>> Speaker E: Gestures, man.
- 30:11>> Speaker B: Yep.
- 30:12>> Speaker E: I'm coming up to you.
- 30:13>> Speaker B: Oh, dude. He starts doing,
- 30:14like, Fortnite dances.
- 30:15>> Speaker D: I'd be inspired.
- 30:16>> Speaker B: I love it.
- 30:17>> Speaker E: Start yelling, freak.
- 30:22>> Speaker B: Wow.
- 30:22>> Speaker E: I feel great.
- 30:25>> Speaker B: Thank you. Yes. Oh,
- 30:26absolutely. Thanks for. Thanks
- 30:29for stopping by. And, with
- 30:31that, are you guys ready to
- 30:33head back into the world of
- 30:35running for your life?
- 30:36>> Speaker D: I mean, you could, like, push
- 30:37somewhere else.
- 30:38>> Speaker B: Oh, I can't do that. That's.
- 30:40That would break the rules.
- 30:43>> Speaker D: Go for it.
- 30:44>> Speaker B: All right. Ready, set, Go. And
- 31:03he snaps his fingers, and you
- 31:04guys all are back either in
- 31:06the factory or, dez, who is
- 31:08falling to the ground. And all
- 31:09of a sudden, he just puts out
- 31:11his hands. And you see this
- 31:12swarm of these little twig
- 31:13guys just start to pile up on
- 31:15top of each other. And as he
- 31:17falls into them, they kind of
- 31:19like, almost like a big giant
- 31:21spring. They sort of retract a
- 31:23little bit, catching him
- 31:25comfortably on the ground.
- 31:27>> Speaker D: How far away is Grizzletooth
- 31:28from us?
- 31:29>> Speaker B: So they're like. So it's like
- 31:31three, like, four stories, of
- 31:35height between you and them.
- 31:37And then they're actually
- 31:39moving towards the exit. They
- 31:40heard it, too. They're looking
- 31:42up. They see you guys up
- 31:43there. Gravestone, is waving
- 31:47at you guys, like, get out.
- 31:49Get out.
- 31:49>> Speaker D: I wave back in a friendly
- 31:51manner.
- 31:51>> Speaker B: He gives you a thumbs up
- 31:53because he knows that means
- 31:54you know what's going on as
- 31:56far as he's concerned. And
- 31:57they're pulling grizzled.
- 31:58>> Speaker D: Yes. Get out of here. Stay in
- 32:03here.
- 32:04>> Speaker B: No, no.
- 32:04>> Speaker D: He said, get out of here. Oh,
- 32:06you can hear him? Yeah.
- 32:08>> Speaker C: Maki is trying to push this
- 32:10guy's desk out the window.
- 32:12>> Speaker B: Did you just, like, shatter
- 32:13this huge strength. do a
- 32:15strength check. Okay, so he'll
- 32:17help. So do athletics with,
- 32:19advantage kind of fall.
- 32:20>> Speaker D: Right on, Dez.
- 32:22>> Speaker C: athletics. I got, 15.
- 32:25>> Speaker B: 15. Okay. You and I, I guess,
- 32:27all things considered. I mean,
- 32:28Keto has proven that he is a
- 32:29very strong individual as
- 32:30well. But. But thanks to his
- 32:32help, the two of you are able
- 32:33to pick up this table and hurl
- 32:34it out the window, shattering
- 32:37the glass. You hear an
- 32:38announcement over the speaker.
- 32:39Please evacuate this facility.
- 32:42Will self destruct in one
- 32:45minute.
- 32:46>> Speaker C: you can never trust those
- 32:47things. We gotta get out of
- 32:48here. But let's take this guy
- 32:50with Us. And I grab the,
- 32:54What's his name?
- 32:55>> Speaker B: Steel Prince.
- 32:55>> Speaker D: He. The guy who has the
- 32:56blinking bomb blows up. I,
- 32:58mean, I could toss him in my
- 33:00bag of holding.
- 33:01>> Speaker C: Oh, it sounds.
- 33:02>> Speaker B: Oh, that's an interesting.
- 33:04>> Speaker C: I'm just gonna chuck him
- 33:05outside in case, I don't know,
- 33:09we missed something.
- 33:10>> Speaker B: You guys are gonna, like,
- 33:11reconnect him up like this
- 33:13keeps going back to the robot
- 33:14dude from the Android dude
- 33:16from, Alien. You guys are just
- 33:17going to go, like, re.
- 33:18>> Speaker E: Hook up his brain and then
- 33:19give him some milk.
- 33:20>> Speaker B: Some milk. Got to. Got to fill
- 33:22up his milk.
- 33:22>> Speaker C: Yeah, Maki's just going to
- 33:24drag this body to the edge.
- 33:26Anybody want to give me a
- 33:27hand?
- 33:28>> Speaker B: Yeah, Keto will just throw him
- 33:29out
- 33:29>> Speaker D: the window with him. Yeah,
- 33:30grab his what with his body.
- 33:32>> Speaker B: What if it's not milk? What if
- 33:34it's another white fluid? And
- 33:35that's why.
- 33:36>> Speaker E: No, that's why they were
- 33:37collecting the
- 33:38>> Speaker B: horses for it in that alleyway
- 33:42anyways.
- 33:43>> Speaker D: What it.
- 33:44>> Speaker E: All robots run on semen?
- 33:47>> Speaker D: Wow.
- 33:47>> Speaker C: I thought you were gonna say
- 33:48it wasn't actually semen. It
- 33:50was.
- 33:50>> Speaker D: It was milk.
- 33:52>> Speaker B: No, wow. We were going in two
- 33:53different directions at the
- 33:54same.
- 33:54>> Speaker C: It was just there. It was the.
- 33:56Whatever. Droid fluid.
- 33:58>> Speaker B: No better word.
- 33:59>> Speaker C: All right, Nanobite. Nanobots
- 34:02or something.
- 34:03>> Speaker B: Yes. You quickly stuff, the
- 34:06remainder, the upper half, I
- 34:07would say a Professor Augustus
- 34:10Steelborn, into Roerich's bag.
- 34:13>> Speaker C: of. I was. I was.
- 34:14>> Speaker D: No, they're chucking out the
- 34:15window.
- 34:15>> Speaker B: Oh, he was going to throw him
- 34:16out.
- 34:16>> Speaker D: Oh, okay.
- 34:17>> Speaker B: Sounds good. Yeah. He falls to
- 34:19the ground. I would say the
- 34:21impact removes the other arm.
- 34:25>> Speaker D: So now he has.
- 34:25>> Speaker F: No.
- 34:26>> Speaker B: He's literally just a body and
- 34:27a head. and a shattered head
- 34:29at that, to some extent,
- 34:30anyway. and then you hear over
- 34:33the speakers, please evacuate.
- 34:36You have 30 seconds before
- 34:39this facility self destructs.
- 34:43>> Speaker D: He's long gone. And Rory, he
- 34:48walks up to the middle of the
- 34:50room, and he just, like, power
- 34:52poses and goes. And like
- 34:57lightning, it's just like
- 34:59sprinkles. It's like little.
- 35:00It's like he imagined. He
- 35:03imagined it was gonna be,
- 35:05like, little lightning bolts
- 35:06and stuff, because that's how
- 35:07all of his spells, like,
- 35:10incarnate themselves. But no,
- 35:12it's just like, really just
- 35:14pixie dust just comes flying
- 35:16out and it hits all of you,
- 35:17and he goes, oh, I swear I
- 35:20didn't go to the glitter
- 35:21factory. Come on.
- 35:24>> Speaker B: All right, you jump out the
- 35:25window, and as you fall to the
- 35:27ground, you feel yourself slow
- 35:29to a nice, gentle stop. And as
- 35:32the rest of you fall close
- 35:33behind, the same thing
- 35:34happens. You leap out the
- 35:35window, and it almost looks
- 35:37intimidating as the ground
- 35:38starts to fly towards you, and
- 35:39then it starts to slow until
- 35:42you gently touch the ground
- 35:44with the tips of your toes,
- 35:46and your feet flatten upon the
- 35:48earth beneath.
- 35:49>> Speaker D: How far is the door from here?
- 35:50>> Speaker B: It'd be, like, around the
- 35:52whole facility.
- 35:53>> Speaker D: Is there any windows or
- 35:54anything?
- 35:54>> Speaker B: You just jumped out the
- 35:55window?
- 35:55>> Speaker D: No.
- 35:56>> Speaker B: Is there anything into the
- 35:57window to go back?
- 35:59>> Speaker D: Ground 4 was worried we'll get
- 36:00blown.
- 36:01>> Speaker B: There's a semi. It's. It's
- 36:03probably, like, 10ft up.
- 36:04>> Speaker E: There's a semi.
- 36:05>> Speaker B: There's a semi.
- 36:06>> Speaker D: It's falling right on top of
- 36:08us. It just comes driving
- 36:10through, like, what are you
- 36:12doing?
- 36:12>> Speaker E: I have got a trucker hat on.
- 36:14>> Speaker D: It's this building made up of.
- 36:16>> Speaker B: It's steel.
- 36:17>> Speaker E: Who would have thought?
- 36:18>> Speaker D: We should snow right away.
- 36:20Kito's gonna grab the dude's
- 36:21torso and run.
- 36:23>> Speaker B: Okay, sounds good. You're all
- 36:24sprinting away from the
- 36:25facility, and from inside, you
- 36:27can hear it counting down. 5,
- 36:294, 3, 2.
- 36:31>> Speaker D: Is there any blinking?
- 36:33>> Speaker C: One.
- 36:33>> Speaker B: yeah, he's still blinking.
- 36:34>> Speaker E: Oh, dear.
- 36:35>> Speaker B: But then you watch Zero. And
- 36:39you all kind of pause for a
- 36:40moment just to be like, what's
- 36:42gonna happen? You turn around,
- 36:43you look at the building. It's
- 36:45just standing there. And then
- 36:47all of a sudden, ever so
- 36:49slowly, you see a black orb
- 36:53essence that starts to extend
- 36:55out from the walls. And all of
- 36:58a sudden, it collapses in on
- 36:59itself. And you guys get hit
- 37:05with this sort of burst from
- 37:07this sound wave, and it knocks
- 37:09you back. If you have
- 37:10feathers, it pushes them back.
- 37:11And then in front of you is
- 37:13just a crater where the
- 37:15building once stood.
- 37:17>> Speaker E: It's a good thing you got the
- 37:18>> Speaker D: gold for someone who doesn't
- 37:20know what just happened.
- 37:21>> Speaker B: What spell was that? just,
- 37:24like, metagaming. Sky made
- 37:26things up.
- 37:26>> Speaker D: Okay.
- 37:26>> Speaker B: Spell.
- 37:27>> Speaker D: I thought it was like a.
- 37:28>> Speaker E: It's called the DM makes the
- 37:31rules spell.
- 37:32>> Speaker D: Okay, cool.
- 37:34>> Speaker B: you could call it a implosion.
- 37:37>> Speaker D: Well, good thing you saved his
- 37:39desk. Yeah.
- 37:41>> Speaker B: Sitting there on the outskirts
- 37:42of where that giant black
- 37:43bubble just happened, there's
- 37:45just his desk flopped over.
- 37:48the legs are all broken off of
- 37:49it.
- 37:50>> Speaker C: That's genuine Lindenwood.
- 37:52>> Speaker D: Oh, how'd you know that?
- 37:53>> Speaker C: Yeah, you can tell it's
- 37:54Lindenwood by the way it is.
- 37:56>> Speaker D: By the way it is.
- 37:59>> Speaker B: with that being said, you do
- 38:01see, on the other side of this
- 38:03crater, you do see your
- 38:05friends from, the rocks, and
- 38:07they are all stooped, down.
- 38:10Gathered around something.
- 38:13>> Speaker D: Another desk.
- 38:15>> Speaker C: Looks like they're playing
- 38:16bass again.
- 38:17>> Speaker B: Let me rephrase here. All of
- 38:19them except Grizzletooth are
- 38:21currently stooped down,
- 38:23gathered around something.
- 38:25>> Speaker C: How far away is that? Like,
- 38:26pretty close. Like, we can see
- 38:28pretty well.
- 38:28>> Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 38:29>> Speaker D: So, like, are we cutting ties
- 38:32with them? Like, what's next
- 38:35on our docket? Guys?
- 38:36>> Speaker C: Like, I don't know, they
- 38:38might. They might have some
- 38:39useful, connections
- 38:41>> Speaker D: for us to do what?
- 38:42>> Speaker B: I don't think we've reached
- 38:43the tip
- 38:44>> Speaker D: of the, the tip of this
- 38:45iceberg yet.
- 38:46>> Speaker C: You know, steal from the.
- 38:47Steal from the rich and give
- 38:48to us.
- 38:50>> Speaker D: Okay, so who's the rich?
- 38:52>> Speaker C: I don't know. They probably
- 38:53know. I'm saying they might
- 38:56know more people who got
- 38:57money.
- 38:59>> Speaker B: Yeah.
- 38:59>> Speaker D: oh, okay. Do you think they're
- 39:02in the best mood to offer us
- 39:04more money right now, though?
- 39:07>> Speaker B: Wow.
- 39:07>> Speaker D: Looks like one of them's dead.
- 39:10>> Speaker C: Ooh. These are sensitive
- 39:13matters. Maybe we should give
- 39:15our condolences and then give
- 39:17them time to mourn.
- 39:19>> Speaker D: Dennis, why does your sign say
- 39:21I'm sawy with two W's?
- 39:24>> Speaker C: Well, at least this guy didn't
- 39:26blow up. had me a little
- 39:28worried. That thing looks kind
- 39:30of heavy, Kido.
- 39:31>> Speaker D: Is the red dot still going?
- 39:33>> Speaker B: No, it is ceased.
- 39:35>> Speaker D: Hey, dez, you're a freak who.
- 39:42I'm gonna get you back for it
- 39:43every time. You're a freak who
- 39:45likes robots, right?
- 39:48>> Speaker E: DEZ kind of cocks his head
- 39:52sideways and shrugs, like, I
- 39:55guess.
- 39:55>> Speaker D: So look at this robot. Can you
- 39:58tell us anything about it?
- 40:00>> Speaker E: DEZ looks at the robot. he
- 40:06writes on his whiteboard. He
- 40:08shows you and says, he's a
- 40:09filthy clanker.
- 40:11>> Speaker C: That's it.
- 40:12>> Speaker D: Do you know a lot about
- 40:14clankers? What can. Ah.
- 40:16>> Speaker B: I.
- 40:16>> Speaker D: What can.
- 40:16>> Speaker E: Favorite. I only know favorite
- 40:18enemy only really allows me to
- 40:20track them. That's it.
- 40:23>> Speaker D: Also, you don't know anything
- 40:24about them, so you point at
- 40:26them and say, I found them.
- 40:27that's pretty good.
- 40:28>> Speaker E: I can. I know the language you
- 40:30speak. What language do
- 40:32constructs speak? I know that,
- 40:34usually whatever they've
- 40:35>> Speaker B: been programmed to speak.
- 40:37>> Speaker D: Yeah, 3 PO can speak, though.
- 40:39>> Speaker B: That's true. He can speak. I
- 40:40am an Alexa God. Which sucks,
- 40:43because you can't talk.
- 40:44>> Speaker E: I can't.
- 40:46>> Speaker B: But you understand what
- 40:48everyone around you.
- 40:49>> Speaker E: I was given the knowledge of
- 40:51all of these languages, but I
- 40:52can't utilize it.
- 40:53>> Speaker B: What a torture. Oh, my gosh.
- 40:55Are you somewhat of a hacker?
- 40:59>> Speaker E: I have advantage on tracking
- 41:01them.
- 41:02>> Speaker D: That's it. that's all. That's
- 41:03all.
- 41:03>> Speaker E: The deity wiki says, I, I can
- 41:05track them. Good. I, I find
- 41:07them.
- 41:07>> Speaker D: Good.
- 41:08>> Speaker B: Find them. Hm.
- 41:08>> Speaker C: Good.
- 41:08>> Speaker B: And here it is.
- 41:09>> Speaker D: Here he is.
- 41:10>> Speaker B: He's right here, laying on the
- 41:11ground.
- 41:14>> Speaker D: Okay, so DEZ apparently is
- 41:17useless.
- 41:17>> Speaker B: He's got. He.
- 41:19>> Speaker E: DEZ starts scratching his
- 41:20chin. He kicks it once. He's
- 41:22just nods.
- 41:23>> Speaker B: Let me ask you this.
- 41:24>> Speaker E: Writes on his board.
- 41:25>> Speaker D: Yep.
- 41:25>> Speaker E: That's a clanker.
- 41:26>> Speaker B: Let me actually, no, I'm not
- 41:27going to ask you this. I'm
- 41:28going to argue that given that
- 41:30you're a ranger, given that
- 41:31your whole concept is
- 41:32tracking, finding, you have a
- 41:35problem with these enemies.
- 41:36I'm going to say that the stat
- 41:38that makes the most sense to
- 41:39be attributed to understanding
- 41:41them would be survival. Okay.
- 41:44so if you want to, you could
- 41:45roll with survival. And based
- 41:47on what you get, I could give
- 41:48you some information about
- 41:50what you might be able to
- 41:51discern, from this.
- 41:52>> Speaker D: Sure, we can do that.
- 41:53>> Speaker B: Yeah.
- 41:55>> Speaker C: Why is it leaking milk? And I,
- 41:58I taste a little bit of the
- 42:00spoil.
- 42:00>> Speaker D: You beat me to it.
- 42:02>> Speaker E: Ooh, that's a 24.
- 42:04>> Speaker B: 24. Holy cow. Okay, so, let's
- 42:07see, first of all, just real
- 42:09quick, it tastes like
- 42:10chemical, it kind of oily
- 42:13patui. Kind of, kind of
- 42:15lubricanty.
- 42:16>> Speaker E: You get the refreshed buff,
- 42:17you get
- 42:18>> Speaker B: the disgusted unbuff, debuff,
- 42:21debuff. but dez, you look over
- 42:27this individual and you can
- 42:28tell that he, he's not 100
- 42:31construct. He is an Android.
- 42:33He still has certain organs
- 42:36amidst.
- 42:37>> Speaker E: Still the half breed.
- 42:38>> Speaker B: Yeah. Okay, Based on what
- 42:41you've gathered so far that
- 42:42people have told you about
- 42:43this organization known as the
- 42:46Legionnaires, which he claimed
- 42:47to have connections with,
- 42:49there are individuals who
- 42:51choose, and I know you're
- 42:53going to be bothered by that,
- 42:54choose to remove parts of
- 42:56their body and replace them
- 42:58with mechanical replacements.
- 43:00Right. So I could take my arm
- 43:02off and replace it with a
- 43:03mechanical arm. as has been
- 43:05mentioned before, the idea
- 43:07that they're going for is
- 43:08what's called total
- 43:09replacement, which is to say
- 43:10that their entire physical
- 43:12being is completely replaced,
- 43:14maybe with the exception of
- 43:15their mind. Or maybe their
- 43:16mind is put into some sort of
- 43:18almost like a computer esque
- 43:20type thing, in order to store
- 43:22their person and allow them to
- 43:24live on for X. Right. Because
- 43:26there's no matter what race
- 43:28you are in Dungeons and
- 43:30Dragons, there are limitations
- 43:31to how long you live. Even
- 43:32elves usually expire after
- 43:33like what, 900 years or
- 43:35something like that. so these
- 43:36individuals believe that by
- 43:38turning themselves into
- 43:40androids, Essentially. Or
- 43:42cyborgs. Cyborgs, they can,
- 43:46they'd be able to replace
- 43:48parts of their body when they
- 43:49need to be repaired. they'd be
- 43:50able to fix themselves up to a
- 43:52point where they could
- 43:52theoretically live forever.
- 43:54And that seems to be what this
- 43:55guy has done to himself. And
- 43:57you're kind of surprised
- 43:58because it looks like based on
- 44:00the fact that his head like
- 44:01opened up, that he actually
- 44:02had some significant success
- 44:05with his cranial area. So
- 44:07yeah, those are all things
- 44:08that you gather from that,
- 44:10putting pieces together in
- 44:11your mind based on kind of
- 44:13what you've gathered so far
- 44:14about your favorite enemy here
- 44:15in Isla Numis. Gotcha.
- 44:17>> Speaker E: so DEZ scratches his chin, he
- 44:19kicks the guy, and he writes
- 44:21on his board and he shows the
- 44:22rest of you and it says, the
- 44:23board says he is attempting
- 44:26some kind of transcendency.
- 44:31That is what I learned.
- 44:32>> Speaker D: When he kicks him, does like
- 44:34nuts and bolts come falling
- 44:36out?
- 44:36>> Speaker B: Just, a lot more milk spills
- 44:37out.
- 44:38>> Speaker E: I take my, my dagger and I
- 44:40stab it in the remainder of
- 44:42his chest and I pull down and
- 44:43I just tear his chest cavity
- 44:45open.
- 44:46>> Speaker B: Gosh. Yeah. So inside, what do
- 44:48we see? Yeah, inside it's,
- 44:49it's again, it's a mix. So
- 44:51some organs, some of his,
- 44:53tubes and things like that,
- 44:55even some of his veins have
- 44:56been replaced with either like
- 44:58plastic tubes or mechanical
- 45:01clockwork organs, or the veins
- 45:03are replaced with wires that
- 45:04run to some of the mechanical
- 45:06elements, across the body. The
- 45:07other half is what you would
- 45:09normally see when you slice
- 45:10open a human, which is
- 45:12physical flesh based, nerve
- 45:15ending, nerve, lines and
- 45:17organs. And I, I know you're.
- 45:18I know. Fatty Lumpkin, the,
- 45:19the medical professional in
- 45:21our group is over here looking
- 45:22at me like he doesn't know
- 45:23what he's talking about.
- 45:24>> Speaker D: Enjoyment.
- 45:25>> Speaker B: But yes. organs and veins and
- 45:28flesh.
- 45:29>> Speaker E: Great. I just start, just,
- 45:31hey, are you
- 45:32>> Speaker D: going to eat those? So I
- 45:34pointed them at the metallic,
- 45:36like body parts, like the old
- 45:37metallic organs.
- 45:38>> Speaker E: I just start viciously tearing
- 45:40everything out of the twist
- 45:42cabinet.
- 45:42>> Speaker D: I'm trying to catch the
- 45:44metallic ones. And while he's
- 45:46doing that, I've cut the
- 45:47metallic ones and I pull and
- 45:49I, I whistle. And Frog pops up
- 45:53out of my, out of my bag of
- 45:55holding and I hold out my
- 45:56hands and he starts eating the
- 45:58metallic organs. Ah, good. old
- 46:00Frog. Hey Des, you are in a
- 46:03bloodthirsty robot rampage.
- 46:05You're not going to kill old
- 46:06frog here, are you?
- 46:08>> Speaker E: DEZ smiles and waggles his
- 46:10finger at him. M. Like no.
- 46:13>> Speaker D: Oh, see, Frog, he didn't even
- 46:14call you a freak. See, he
- 46:16likes you.
- 46:18>> Speaker B: Frog places these organs
- 46:21inside of his. He. He's kind
- 46:23of got like, his. His head is
- 46:24almost like a pot lid. And so
- 46:26it just kind of opens up and
- 46:27he just starts, like, draining
- 46:28these things into a. And then
- 46:31once he's captured a handful
- 46:33of them, and he's sort of full
- 46:34up, right? He kind of sucks
- 46:36his. His hands back into his
- 46:38body, and you can kind of hear
- 46:39him just tinkering around
- 46:40inside of himself.
- 46:41>> Speaker D: And you guys notice he looks
- 46:44slightly bigger, than the last
- 46:46time you saw him.
- 46:47>> Speaker E: Like a minute.
- 46:49>> Speaker C: Waiting for the transformer
- 46:50noises.
- 46:54>> Speaker B: And today on today's news, I'm
- 46:57going to.
- 46:58>> Speaker D: Wow.
- 47:01>> Speaker B: What did.
- 47:01>> Speaker E: What did we decide that frog
- 47:03stood for?
- 47:04>> Speaker D: Flying robot of greatness.
- 47:06>> Speaker E: Oh, that's right. I got flying
- 47:08and robot in my head. And I
- 47:09was like, there were two more
- 47:11of greatness.
- 47:12>> Speaker C: Is this why you took one level
- 47:14of artificer?
- 47:15>> Speaker D: This is why I asked why is
- 47:16there no artificer in the
- 47:18level of arcade? So, we go. We
- 47:20say, I'm sorry, and then we. I
- 47:26don't know what, we go back
- 47:27and sleep for the night. And
- 47:30then we start. Do we have any
- 47:31leads?
- 47:32>> Speaker E: I need a long rest.
- 47:33Regardless.
- 47:34>> Speaker D: That one guy and I look down
- 47:36at the robot at our feet, who
- 47:39Des has kind of kneeled in,
- 47:40still ripping pieces.
- 47:42>> Speaker B: I would argue at this point,
- 47:43you have a head.
- 47:45>> Speaker D: He was ranting about that one
- 47:49group. Those religious. Those
- 47:52religious. And I point at Des.
- 47:55Religious, yeah. Those
- 47:59religious. Yeah. And, I think
- 48:00that's our Wingy. I think
- 48:02there's something there, but
- 48:03that might not be money.
- 48:05>> Speaker E: Des rubs his fingers together
- 48:07like that's what I need.
- 48:09>> Speaker D: No margin, no mission. There's
- 48:10got to be money.
- 48:11>> Speaker E: You think I'm gonna do the
- 48:13good for this world, this
- 48:14pocket dimension, just
- 48:16because. No, there's got to be
- 48:17a monetary value to what I do.
- 48:19>> Speaker D: Guys. How are we going to get
- 48:21a million gold?
- 48:22>> Speaker C: Maybe I could run for mayor
- 48:24and then invest, in the
- 48:26financial markets and use
- 48:28insider trading.
- 48:30>> Speaker D: This sounds a pretty long
- 48:31term.
- 48:31>> Speaker B: I would. I would, as the DM
- 48:33remind you that there is a
- 48:35presidential.
- 48:36>> Speaker D: There's election going on
- 48:37right now.
- 48:38>> Speaker B: Presidential or, sorry,
- 48:40mayoral.
- 48:41>> Speaker D: It was a mayor, wasn't it?
- 48:42>> Speaker B: No, it was like king.
- 48:44>> Speaker D: Oh, they vote for the king.
- 48:46>> Speaker B: Well, you asked this question
- 48:48before. I don't remember if
- 48:49somebody told you or if it was
- 48:51just me, but the idea is that
- 48:53in little sauce, at the very
- 48:54least would know this,
- 48:55obviously, because he's from
- 48:56here.
- 48:56>> Speaker D: Yeah. Obvious.
- 48:57>> Speaker B: The king.
- 48:58>> Speaker D: No, I wanted Quinn to tell us.
- 48:59>> Speaker B: Oh, sorry. Yeah, go ahead.
- 49:00>> Speaker D: Yeah. So the king is a guy. Is
- 49:03kind of, We're like kind of,
- 49:04you know, dictatorship kind
- 49:06of.
- 49:06>> Speaker B: Nah. Kind of republic.
- 49:07>> Speaker D: we vote. We do. We did. It's a
- 49:10position. It's a title. It's a
- 49:12thing.
- 49:13>> Speaker B: He hasn't said anything untrue
- 49:15yet.
- 49:16>> Speaker C: This is the worst Spree style
- 49:18ever.
- 49:21>> Speaker D: Politics. Do you actually
- 49:23know, or were you too deep in
- 49:25the sauce business?
- 49:27>> Speaker E: Lost in the scout.
- 49:28>> Speaker B: Lost in the sauce.
- 49:29>> Speaker D: It's a thing. It's a title.
- 49:31It's a. Yeah, it's got me.
- 49:33It's a thing. They make
- 49:35decisions.
- 49:35>> Speaker B: This is a great T shirt. Just
- 49:37Lil.
- 49:37>> Speaker E: Sauce.
- 49:38>> Speaker B: It's a thing. It's a title.
- 49:41>> Speaker D: I think this is the trauma
- 49:42getting him. Is that the first
- 49:44time you've been knocked out
- 49:45in battle? No. Oh, no, no, no.
- 49:49Just, in a while.
- 49:50>> Speaker C: He used to be in an abusive
- 49:52relationship with the griddle.
- 49:55>> Speaker D: I asked for him to tell us.
- 49:56>> Speaker B: Maki, do you want me to. Do
- 49:59you want to know about the
- 50:00present thing, or are we good
- 50:02with little sauces
- 50:03explanation?
- 50:03>> Speaker D: Oh, I'm fine with little
- 50:04sauces explanation. So, yeah,
- 50:06there's an election coming up.
- 50:08We could just have. You could
- 50:11run for it, I guess. When.
- 50:12When is the vote? I don't
- 50:14remember.
- 50:15>> Speaker E: I.
- 50:15>> Speaker D: Then we got one of them
- 50:16newspapers. We grabbed one at
- 50:18one point.
- 50:19>> Speaker B: Just out of curiosity, are you
- 50:21guys, like, just talking as
- 50:22you're walking back over to.
- 50:24>> Speaker D: No, I wasn't walking. Oh. I
- 50:25mean, Des is still.
- 50:26>> Speaker B: Oh. At this point, it's really
- 50:28just ahead.
- 50:28>> Speaker E: I mean, if you're still ahead
- 50:30from the. I just twist, twist
- 50:31and pulled it
- 50:32>> Speaker D: off of the torso.
- 50:34>> Speaker B: Are you keeping the head?
- 50:35>> Speaker D: Yeah.
- 50:35>> Speaker E: Bring it to the. The Rock
- 50:37Bottom Club guys as a gift.
- 50:39>> Speaker D: Is that what we're doing?
- 50:40Walking around the hole to go
- 50:41see them? I just imagine we
- 50:44were standing here talking.
- 50:45>> Speaker C: Well, Maky once stood,
- 50:46examined this desk.
- 50:48>> Speaker D: Okay, sounds good.
- 50:50>> Speaker B: You, you search through the
- 50:51desk. This broken desk, which
- 50:52is really easy to search
- 50:53through because it's in
- 50:54pieces. Any. Any locks on this
- 50:56desk are busted open. you find
- 50:59a handful of letters of
- 51:00correspondence with a variety
- 51:02of the larger dealers that
- 51:03were being used for, euphoria
- 51:05distribution.
- 51:06>> Speaker C: Okay.
- 51:07>> Speaker B: and then, of course, there's
- 51:08probably some papers in there
- 51:09kind of outlining how much
- 51:11product they were making and
- 51:13things along those lines.
- 51:14>> Speaker C: Do I see any names?
- 51:16>> Speaker B: You see a lot of names, and
- 51:20you also see next to those
- 51:22names, another name. And at
- 51:27the top of this sort of Excel
- 51:28spreadsheet, they have2. The
- 51:30two columns are listed names
- 51:33and aliases. Oh, so you have
- 51:38who they're being distributed
- 51:39to by street name and what
- 51:42they. Who they actually are.
- 51:44>> Speaker C: Okay, I'm gonna save that info
- 51:46for later.
- 51:47>> Speaker B: There you go. There you go.
- 51:48you also do notice that
- 51:49there's a column next to it,
- 51:51and it's. There's a handful of
- 51:53them that have X's next to
- 51:55them. What that means.
- 51:57actually, I'll tell you what
- 51:58that means, because at the top
- 51:59of that. That column, it says
- 52:01active. But I guess you're not
- 52:03sure if. If X means that they
- 52:05are active or they're no
- 52:06longer active. That's, you
- 52:07know.
- 52:08>> Speaker C: Okay, do with the, the
- 52:10thoughts of the election on my
- 52:12mind. Do I see any names of
- 52:13any officials who are running
- 52:15for election on there?
- 52:17>> Speaker B: That's a great, great
- 52:18question, actually.
- 52:19>> Speaker C: Such as Lupin Grimble, Lord
- 52:22Blundergruff, Golden Shield.
- 52:25>> Speaker B: I would say at the top of the
- 52:28list.
- 52:28>> Speaker C: Not Noodle Wiggle.
- 52:29>> Speaker B: Not Noodle.
- 52:30>> Speaker D: No.
- 52:30>> Speaker B: Anyone but Noodle Wiggle.
- 52:32Noodle Wiggle is supposed to
- 52:33be legit. Is the people's
- 52:34candidate. At the top of the
- 52:37sheet, there's probably, like,
- 52:39a column that says, like, how
- 52:40much, material was being
- 52:42handed out to each particular
- 52:43person. Right. So obviously
- 52:45top. And it's organized by
- 52:46that number. So top of the
- 52:48sheet is going to be the
- 52:49people that were getting the
- 52:49most product. One of them
- 52:51that's listed does say
- 52:54Grimble. The second one that
- 52:56has the second most. Actually,
- 52:59technically, this one would be
- 53:00the most. Grimble's the second
- 53:01most. but at the very top of
- 53:03that list, you see the name
- 53:06Alexandria Duskwalker.
- 53:10>> Speaker D: Dusk Walker. Sounds like my ex
- 53:12wife.
- 53:12>> Speaker C: Looks like I got a list here
- 53:14of the biggest players in this
- 53:15drug game in their aliases and
- 53:19the real names. Like this.
- 53:20This guy's running for
- 53:22president, and he's receiving
- 53:25tons of this stuff.
- 53:26>> Speaker D: Oh, what if we exposed him or
- 53:28exploited him for money?
- 53:30Blackmail. that's my. That's
- 53:33my alley.
- 53:34>> Speaker E: Des just holds his head in his
- 53:36hands, stares off into space.
- 53:38>> Speaker B: He's good at the guy's heads.
- 53:39Yeah. Yeah.
- 53:40>> Speaker D: Des, there seems to be a lot
- 53:42of trauma. Revolving robots.
- 53:48>> Speaker E: Oh, do you need to talk about
- 53:49it? DEZ writes on his
- 53:52whiteboard. I. I don't know
- 53:53what you mean.
- 53:54>> Speaker D: Okay, we'll just bottle that
- 53:56up for a future episode.
- 53:58>> Speaker B: It'll come up.
- 53:59>> Speaker C: I'm sure it'll come up.
- 54:00>> Speaker D: I'm sure we'll just put a cork
- 54:01in. I'm sure that will lash
- 54:04out in any way in the future
- 54:06while we're.
- 54:07>> Speaker C: Sometimes take it from a
- 54:09drinker, you don't want to
- 54:11force the cork. Or, it might
- 54:13give you a black eye.
- 54:14>> Speaker D: I don't know. Sometimes.
- 54:17Sometimes it's good to just
- 54:19talk about the stuff that
- 54:20makes you mad.
- 54:22>> Speaker E: DEZ writes on his whiteboard.
- 54:23Ain't nothing to talk about.
- 54:24>> Speaker D: Well, I hate wizards because
- 54:26they killed all my friends
- 54:29with the exact spell that just
- 54:31hit all of you guys. So I
- 54:33really hated that guy.
- 54:35>> Speaker E: Deznods and understanding
- 54:38signaling to Roark, like,
- 54:40>> Speaker C: miming, like, a champagne
- 54:43bottle or something. And like
- 54:45a gentle tapping motion on the
- 54:47side of it. You know, if you
- 54:49like, trying to,
- 54:50>> Speaker B: like, do a toast.
- 54:51>> Speaker C: No, like trying to get the
- 54:53cork to come out or something.
- 54:54>> Speaker D: Oh, I don't know if that's
- 54:56even,
- 54:56>> Speaker B: like, ding, ding, ding, ding.
- 54:57>> Speaker D: Okay. Are you trying to motion
- 54:59to gently nudge this?
- 55:01>> Speaker C: So force it.
- 55:04>> Speaker D: But, you know, I shared.
- 55:06>> Speaker B: There's a bit of an
- 55:07implication you should.
- 55:10>> Speaker D: You don't have to. But if I
- 55:13need to go with more, I guess
- 55:14so. His name was Pork. He was
- 55:19my best friend.
- 55:20>> Speaker E: John Pork.
- 55:21>> Speaker D: The wizard claimed him. No, it
- 55:23was just Pork. the wizard
- 55:25claimed him. And this chick. I
- 55:27don't remember her name. She
- 55:28was an elf. I didn't care
- 55:30about her. And it almost
- 55:32killed my other friend, too.
- 55:33So I barely got to him before
- 55:36he died. But that's why I hate
- 55:37wizards with a passion. Then I
- 55:41noticed you hate robots with
- 55:44that same passion. Did they
- 55:47kill someone you love?
- 55:48>> Speaker E: DEZ writes on his whiteboard,
- 55:50and it says, water and
- 55:52machines don't mix well. And
- 55:56then he shrugs, he takes the
- 55:59head, he walks over to the
- 56:01rock bottom. Guys.
- 56:02>> Speaker B: Okay, do you guys follow?
- 56:03>> Speaker D: I don't know. I, lean over to
- 56:05Kyo. I go. I don't know what
- 56:07water and machines have to do
- 56:08with anything.
- 56:09>> Speaker E: That's right. They have, like,
- 56:10no idea who Dez is outside of
- 56:12the feathers.
- 56:14>> Speaker B: True.
- 56:14>> Speaker D: Rorick 100% has forgotten who
- 56:17Des was in his past. Like, I
- 56:20don't think Rorick remembers
- 56:21he was a trident in the
- 56:22slightest.
- 56:23>> Speaker E: We're going to go back and
- 56:24it's just going to be who this
- 56:26guy.
- 56:26>> Speaker D: You weren't a bird this whole
- 56:28time and he just full and
- 56:29talks to me. Yeah.
- 56:30>> Speaker B: And then you actually have a
- 56:32voice. That'd be.
- 56:33>> Speaker E: He'll have a voice. I have an
- 56:34accent picked out. It's just.
- 56:36>> Speaker D: All right, Keto, your turn.
- 56:39>> Speaker B: you guys all make your way
- 56:41over or you follow dez, over
- 56:43to the Gang from the Rock of
- 56:45Autumn. And it's a pretty sad
- 56:48sight that you find
- 56:50Grizzletooth, ah, is laying
- 56:51there motionless, huddling
- 56:53over him. You see, Gravestone
- 56:55has his, his bone hand over
- 56:58Grizzle Tooth. you can see
- 57:00that he's trying as hard as he
- 57:02can to push that sort of
- 57:04violet aura of magic into
- 57:06Grizzle Tooth. And you see
- 57:09Rusty, who's kind of over by
- 57:12Grizzle, Tooth's head. He's
- 57:13kind of like holding his
- 57:14shoulders up a little bit and
- 57:15he's like, is any. You see. Do
- 57:18you think there's any hope?
- 57:20Gravestone? And Gravestone's
- 57:22like, I. I don't think. I
- 57:25don't think I've got this kind
- 57:27of magic. I'm. I'm sorry. I.
- 57:30It's really sucks to be a
- 57:32living skeleton someone
- 57:33brought to life, but not have
- 57:35the actual power to bring a
- 57:37back a friend. you see Sprout,
- 57:40who's kind of standing maybe
- 57:4210ft away and his, his hands
- 57:45are clenched tightly and he's
- 57:49got tears streaming down his
- 57:50face, but you can see that
- 57:51he's trying as hard as he can
- 57:53to fight from crying in this
- 57:56situation.
- 57:57>> Speaker D: Roark's just staring at dez.
- 58:00>> Speaker E: DEZ just like, sets the guy's
- 58:03head down and just starts to
- 58:06walk away. I go with dez. I'm
- 58:09limping. I'm really hurt. I
- 58:11need a long rest.
- 58:11>> Speaker D: Sure. How bad is he hurt,
- 58:13Gravestone?
- 58:14>> Speaker B: he pulls back his hand. He
- 58:16says, I don't think he's
- 58:19coming back. Oh, I don't have
- 58:23that kind of magic. I have a
- 58:25little bit of healing magic,
- 58:26but I don't have that kind of
- 58:28restoration magic. I'm. I'm so
- 58:30sorry, Rusty. There's nothing
- 58:34I can do. And Rusty kind of
- 58:39lowers Grizzle Tooth's head
- 58:40down a little bit and he just
- 58:41kind of leans forward and you
- 58:43can just see tears streaming
- 58:45down his face, dripping onto
- 58:48Grizzle Tooth's head.
- 58:50>> Speaker C: Seems this world lost another
- 58:53one of the good ones.
- 58:56>> Speaker B: you hear Rusty whisper out,
- 58:59yeah, that's right, they did.
- 59:02He's been me friend for 13
- 59:04years and he's kept me from,
- 59:09he's kept me from the drink
- 59:10that whole time. I don't know.
- 59:14I'm gonna, I don't know I'm
- 59:16gonna keep myself sober after
- 59:17this one, but I know that's
- 59:20what Grizzletooth would have
- 59:21wanted.
- 59:21>> Speaker C: As someone who's not been a
- 59:24fan of sobriety most of his
- 59:26life, I know how important it
- 59:29is to have somebody, somebody
- 59:32to keep you from the brink.
- 59:36you there, fella. And he
- 59:37points at Sprout. You need to
- 59:40help out your friend here.
- 59:42>> Speaker B: Cause that.
- 59:43>> Speaker C: Well, you know why?
- 59:46>> Speaker B: And Sprout looks at you and he
- 59:50kind of. He kind of glares his
- 59:51eyes a little bit, and in one
- 59:55of his hands, he's holding
- 59:56what looks like maybe a dagger
- 59:57or something that he had
- 59:58picked up while he was in
- 59:58there. And he just kind of
- 59:59throws it down on the ground
- 1:00:00and he just starts sprinting
- 1:00:01off into the distance or into
- 1:00:04the dark. And Gravestone
- 1:00:07watches as he kind of runs
- 1:00:08off. And he says, I. I'm
- 1:00:12running out of ideas for that
- 1:00:13kid. He's really struggled to
- 1:00:17find his place in this world.
- 1:00:20And ever since his mom died.
- 1:00:22And I'm not sure what to do
- 1:00:26with him dealing drugs. I. I
- 1:00:29didn't think he'd stoop that
- 1:00:31low. And I know he wants to be
- 1:00:33a member of the Rocks, but, I
- 1:00:35mean. And he looks down at
- 1:00:37Grizzle Tooth and he says,
- 1:00:39there's a reason why I haven't
- 1:00:40let him join. It gets pretty
- 1:00:42dangerous in some of the
- 1:00:43things that we do. And I can't
- 1:00:46put him through that. I
- 1:00:48apologize. I know this is a
- 1:00:50bit of a dreary situation, but
- 1:00:53I do want you all to know how
- 1:00:55much I appreciate you for
- 1:00:57helping us put an end to this
- 1:00:59Euphoria situation.
- 1:01:01>> Speaker D: I'm just gonna pay my respects
- 1:01:03and I'm m gonna head back to
- 1:01:05the house too, because I'm
- 1:01:05like, I want that story.
- 1:01:07>> Speaker B: No, that's fair. That's fair.
- 1:01:08That's okay. I think they
- 1:01:09recognize that a lot of injury
- 1:01:11has happened tonight, and
- 1:01:13obviously I can't really make
- 1:01:16you. It's. It's a. We run
- 1:01:18things at the Rocks
- 1:01:19organization as demo
- 1:01:21democracy. So I. I don't have
- 1:01:23the power to make you guys
- 1:01:24rocks, but what you did here
- 1:01:26tonight, we truly appreciate.
- 1:01:30Consider yourselves welcome at
- 1:01:32the Rocks Club. Anytime,
- 1:01:34anything you need, you feel
- 1:01:36free to head on over there.
- 1:01:38I'd be more than happy to, to
- 1:01:40find a way to help as best I
- 1:01:41can.
- 1:01:42>> Speaker D: Well, thank you.
- 1:01:43>> Speaker B: It's.
- 1:01:44>> Speaker C: Rest assured that we, we, ah,
- 1:01:46took care of that. The boss,
- 1:01:48the head honcho of that
- 1:01:49facility.
- 1:01:50>> Speaker B: And this is the part where he
- 1:01:51looks over and he sees ahead
- 1:01:52and he goes. Professor
- 1:01:54Augustus Steelbourne. I should
- 1:01:57have known. Professor, yes. He
- 1:01:59teach, taught over at the
- 1:02:02School of Wizardry and Magic
- 1:02:05over in the Asgardia district.
- 1:02:08He's a fairly well known
- 1:02:11professor. More because of his
- 1:02:13failed inheritance, you could
- 1:02:16say. His parents were the
- 1:02:18owners of Steelborn Industry,
- 1:02:19this factory that we just
- 1:02:21fought in, amongst other
- 1:02:23assets, all of which no longer
- 1:02:26belonged to his family. His
- 1:02:28parents were killed in an
- 1:02:29alleyway, leaving him the sole
- 1:02:31heir. And as a child, he
- 1:02:34didn't have much power when
- 1:02:35the heads of the company sort
- 1:02:37of wiggled him out, leaving
- 1:02:39him to sort of fend on his own
- 1:02:42without his family's wealth
- 1:02:44and fortune and assets and,
- 1:02:47well, making himself a
- 1:02:51professor would have been a
- 1:02:52pretty fine gig to get into.
- 1:02:55But, it's been said that he
- 1:02:57had fallen in with a bit of a
- 1:02:58dark crowd. And that would in
- 1:03:01fact seem to be the case,
- 1:03:03given this. But he was very
- 1:03:06powerful individual.
- 1:03:08>> Speaker D: I'm.
- 1:03:08>> Speaker B: I'm quite impressed that you
- 1:03:09guys were able to stop him
- 1:03:12there.
- 1:03:13>> Speaker C: Well, thanks. think this is
- 1:03:15just the tip of the iceberg,
- 1:03:17though. Oh, yeah. I found some
- 1:03:20documents of some big names
- 1:03:23involved in all this. Once
- 1:03:25you've had time to grieve, we
- 1:03:27may need your help.
- 1:03:29>> Speaker B: Yes, of course. Again, feel
- 1:03:31free to stop by the Rock
- 1:03:33Bottoms Club anytime. I'm.
- 1:03:35Just ask for me. I will, I
- 1:03:37will make time. I. I will make
- 1:03:38sure we can meet in my office.
- 1:03:40Whatever you need and whatever
- 1:03:42we can offer. I mean, we are
- 1:03:44down a man. This isn't the end
- 1:03:46of the rocks for sure. Getting
- 1:03:49into the club's going to be a
- 1:03:50lot easier now. That's true,
- 1:03:52that's true. I'm afraid that
- 1:03:53we have a bit of a, ceremony
- 1:03:57tonight that we will need to
- 1:04:00bury our friend as a part of.
- 1:04:03if you'll excuse us, to have
- 1:04:05>> Speaker C: like a cool handshake when
- 1:04:08they depart from one another.
- 1:04:10Like, like rock, paper,
- 1:04:12scissors. And you always shoot
- 1:04:13rock.
- 1:04:13>> Speaker D: Okay.
- 1:04:14>> Speaker B: Always.
- 1:04:14>> Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:04:15>> Speaker B: I like. That's actually really
- 1:04:16good.
- 1:04:17>> Speaker D: I like that a lot.
- 1:04:18>> Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, 100%. That's
- 1:04:19pretty cool. That's a really
- 1:04:21cool idea. yeah, they. They
- 1:04:22give you one of those. So they
- 1:04:24just rock, paper, scissors,
- 1:04:25shoot, but they both shoot
- 1:04:26rock and then they tap their
- 1:04:28chest twice and then they
- 1:04:31pick, up grizzle tooth and
- 1:04:33they head off and. Ah. With
- 1:04:34that, I think we'll close out
- 1:04:36this episode of Criminals of
- 1:04:37Isla Numis.
- 1:04:45>> Speaker F: Thank you so much for
