SPEAKER_03: You know, it's the old adage, trust is not just given, it's earned.
• 0:04
SPEAKER_03: That's really what it comes down to for me.
• 0:06
SPEAKER_02: Especially when it comes to money.
• 0:08
SPEAKER_02: Because if I'm gonna give my kid money, I I mean they have to really have had a proven track record of, you know, let's say when you were younger, you had different little odd jobs in the neighborhood that you would do, and let's say you saved all that money.
• 0:21
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 0:21
SPEAKER_02: Then by the time you got to college and I was giving you money for food and gas, then maybe I wouldn't say, Oh, I need to see every receipt.
• 0:29
SPEAKER_02: But in this case, the mom says, I want to see the receipts.
• 0:32
SPEAKER_02: Uh whatever you buy, if I give you some money for food and gas, I need receipts back for food and gas.
• 0:38
SPEAKER_02: Which you know what she could do if she was really a wild child, is she could go buy the booze, but then ask her friends for all their food and gas receipts.
• 0:46
  SPEAKER_03: Okay.
• 0:46
SPEAKER_03: There is always the workaround.
• 0:48
SPEAKER_03: Yes, that's well, there you go.
• 0:51
SPEAKER_03: No, but I I think you know, there's so many different variables that could be in play.
• 0:54
SPEAKER_03: Maybe this is the first, maybe this girl that's heading off to UB up in Buffalo.
• 0:59
SPEAKER_03: Um, maybe uh maybe it's a situation that she didn't do a lot of jobs before this.
• 1:04
SPEAKER_03: Her mother doesn't really know what it's gonna be like for her, but she does know this.
• 1:08
SPEAKER_03: And I'm betting mom knows this.
• 1:10
SPEAKER_03: The first oh year or two of college, you know, because uh sometimes you don't get a job immediately.
• 1:16
SPEAKER_03: Sometimes that comes a little bit later when you start enhancing your your time wherever you're going to school.
• 1:22
SPEAKER_03: But in some cases, it could be, you know, you are laying 100% of your support on your parents, and maybe mom remembers, like, I had my party days, you know, and I want to be able to see.
• 1:34
SPEAKER_03: And really, my question was this Is it too demanding for the mom?
• 1:37
SPEAKER_03: Is it too controlling to say we want to see all the receipts?
• 1:41
SPEAKER_03: Or a majority of the receipts saying, Yeah, you went to the grocery store, you got the food you needed, or you got gas, uh, you know, maybe a little bit of entertainment.
• 1:51
SPEAKER_03: You went to a movie.
• 1:52
SPEAKER_02: I'm very particular about my money.
• 1:54
SPEAKER_02: I would want to see receipts.
• 1:56
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, at least for a while to know that you are good.
• 1:59
SPEAKER_03: Even Heather, now she's got two kids in college right now, okay?
• 2:02
SPEAKER_03: So both of them go to Alfred, and she uses the card system where she can log in and see.
• 2:07
SPEAKER_03: So they must pre-pay the card and have it there.
• 2:10
SPEAKER_03: And she knows what Alex uh and Abby are are doing.
• 2:14
SPEAKER_02: I think that's the best way to go for your peace of mind.
• 2:17
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 2:18
SPEAKER_03: It's my money that I'm spending a four, you know.
• 2:20
SPEAKER_03: I've I've had to I've had to do something to get this money that I now have to continue to help you.
• 2:27
  SPEAKER_03: Hard earned.
• 2:28
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 2:28
SPEAKER_02: Well, and I think another thing too is you have to have the discussion of if I see on this card that you're going to Allie's booze barn every single Friday, then I'm taking the card away.
• 2:42
SPEAKER_03: Speaking of money, this guy's having a bad Wednesday.
• 2:45
SPEAKER_03: And uh he'll explain why.
• 2:47
  SPEAKER_00: Man, oh my mom.
• 2:48
SPEAKER_00: I just looked at my bank account and I uninstalled the app.
• 2:52
SPEAKER_00: The press and it's Wednesday.
• 2:54
SPEAKER_00: I re-download the app Friday when I get paid.
• 2:57
SPEAKER_00: I don't need that type of negativity in my life right now.
• 3:00
  SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
• 3:00
  SPEAKER_02: He died.
• 3:01
SPEAKER_02: He got rid of it.
• 3:02
SPEAKER_02: Do you know because he was so broke over the weekend?
• 3:05
SPEAKER_02: I just would not look at my my balance.
• 3:08
SPEAKER_03: I thought, Were you hoping for the good surprise on Monday where you're like, didn't spend that much?
• 3:15
SPEAKER_02: Before we went to our conference, I had, you know, I went to a festival and I went to a conference in one week.
• 3:20
SPEAKER_02: So a lot of money was being spent.
• 3:22
  SPEAKER_02: Yes.
• 3:22
SPEAKER_02: And it started off with like, I'm doing good.
• 3:25
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 3:25
SPEAKER_02: But then you start to pay for, you know, Ubers and meals and drinks and all this stuff.
• 3:31
SPEAKER_02: And all by the end of it, I was so scared.
• 3:33
SPEAKER_02: And when I opened it up, I was like, okay, it's not zero.
• 3:36
  SPEAKER_02: Okay.
• 3:37
  SPEAKER_02: I mean, payday's Friday.
• 3:39
  SPEAKER_03: Yep.
• 3:40
  SPEAKER_03: Can't wait.
• 3:41
SPEAKER_03: I love the beginning too.
• 3:42
SPEAKER_00: He's like, Man, oh my mama.
• 3:44
  SPEAKER_03: Oh my mama.
• 3:45
  SPEAKER_03: Oh, man.
• 3:46
  SPEAKER_03: All right.
• 3:47
SPEAKER_03: You know, one other thing I want to give you too.
• 3:49
SPEAKER_03: We have not seen one Taylor Swift wedding picture yet.
• 3:53
  SPEAKER_03: Have you noticed that?
• 3:54
SPEAKER_02: Well, we saw the ice sculptures.
• 3:56
  SPEAKER_02: Okay, the ice sculpture.
• 3:58
  SPEAKER_02: And right, right.
• 3:58
SPEAKER_02: There's been like a couple little things.
• 4:00
SPEAKER_02: We've we have seen what people have worn that they've posted their picture.
• 4:04
SPEAKER_03: But if you really haven't seen anything of value from this, not her dress.
• 4:09
  SPEAKER_03: Listen to this fan.
• 4:10
SPEAKER_01: Genuinely, if somebody gave me an ultimatum and was like, you can either keep your left pinky toe or you can see all of Taylor Swift's wedding photos.
• 4:20
SPEAKER_01: I think I would choose to chop off my left pinky toe.
• 4:22
  SPEAKER_01: Me too.
• 4:23
  SPEAKER_03: You don't need it.
• 4:24
  SPEAKER_03: Well, that's true.
• 4:25
SPEAKER_03: You don't need that one.
• 4:26
SPEAKER_03: Well, I guess you I mean you can live without it.
• 4:27
SPEAKER_03: I'm just better than you don't need it.
• 4:29
SPEAKER_03: You can live without it.
• 4:30
SPEAKER_02: I can live without it.
• 4:31
SPEAKER_02: I am the nosiest person I know, and for some reason, I just want to know is she ever going to release them?
• 4:36
  SPEAKER_03: Well, I told you.
• 4:37
SPEAKER_03: I said, I think this is going to be a situation where she's figuring out how to make the most money, whether it's a movie, a Netflix special, you know, Taylor's wedding coming to Paramount Plus.
• 4:50
SPEAKER_02: Why is it that anyone else's wedding when they say, Oh, let's sit down and watch this?
• 4:54
SPEAKER_02: All right, do you want to look at 982 pictures of my wedding?
• 4:59
SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh, I know.
• 5:00
  SPEAKER_02: I I know I don't want to see every picture.
• 5:02
  SPEAKER_02: Give me the highlights.
• 5:03
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 5:03
SPEAKER_03: This one, oddly enough, I kind of want to.
• 5:05
  SPEAKER_03: Now we're she's building hype.
• 5:07
  SPEAKER_03: I'm telling you, she's building excitement.
• 5:09
SPEAKER_02: Here's what I want to see: Stevie Nicks performing at her wedding.
• 5:12
  SPEAKER_02: Yes.
• 5:13
  SPEAKER_03: Oh, I wonder if that's how it'll go.
• 5:15
SPEAKER_02: Anne, can you just do a quick, you know, of all the people that were there?
• 5:20
SPEAKER_03: I'm wondering now if it's gonna be half concert, half maybe the ceremony.
• 5:26
  SPEAKER_03: Oh, I don't care.
• 5:27
  SPEAKER_02: I don't I really don't need to watch the vows though.
• 5:30
SPEAKER_03: No, but if you're already watching a couple other artists, you'll sit through it to get to the next one.
• 5:35
SPEAKER_02: Well, I'm gonna probably do some stuff around my house while it's playing.
• 5:39
SPEAKER_02: And then once the once she comes down the aisle, okay.
• 5:42
  SPEAKER_03: Oh, I'm in.
