- Lucas: Welcome back to Learn Telugu with Fexingo. I'm Lucas. Luna: And I'm Luna. Hey Lucas, last time we reviewed counting from one to ten. That was fun. Lucas: It was. And today we're going to take the next step—numbers eleven to fifteen in Telugu. Luna: Oh, I remember some of those from when I was trying to count coins at the market. Let's hear them. Lucas: Alright. The word for eleven is పదకొండు. Listen: పదకొండు. Luna: పదకొండు. That has a nice rhythm. Lucas: Good. Twelve is పన్నెండు. పన్నెండు. Luna: పన్నెండు. Sounds like 'pannendu' almost. Lucas: Exactly. Thirteen: పదమూడు. పదమూడు. Luna: పదమూడు. That one rolls off the tongue. Lucas: Fourteen: పద్నాలుగు. పద్నాలుగు. Luna: పద్నాలుగు. Wow, that's a mouthful. Lucas: You'll get it. And fifteen: పదిహేను. పదిహేను. Luna: పదిహేను. I love that one. It sounds musical. Lucas: Now let me say them slowly one more time: పదకొండు, పన్నెండు, పదమూడు, పద్నాలుగు, పదిహేను. Luna: Okay, let me try: పదకొండు, పన్నెండు, పదమూడు, పద్నాలుగు, పదిహేను. How was that? Lucas: That was perfect, Luna. Really great pronunciation. Luna: Awesome. I can see myself using these at the grocery store when I need to say the price. Lucas: Absolutely. And if you're counting items or telling someone your age, these are crucial. Luna: Like, if I have eleven apples. పదకొండు ఆపిల్స్. Lucas: Exactly. Or if you're ordering twelve samosas. పన్నెండు సమోసాలు. Luna: Yeah, samosas. Now I'm hungry. Lucas: Before we go further, I want to say something. If this podcast has been helping you make real progress with Telugu, it's because we keep it ad-free. The way that stays possible is listener support—buy me a coffee dot com slash fexingo. Luna: Yeah, it's a small way to keep the show going and help others learn too. Totally optional, but we appreciate it. Lucas: Right. Okay, back to counting. Let's practice a little scene. Imagine you're buying eggs at the market. How many do you want? Luna: I'll take thirteen eggs. నాకు పదమూడు గుడ్లు కావాలి. Lucas: Perfect. And the seller says, 'Sure, here are thirteen eggs.' Now you need to count them to check. Luna: Okay. పదకొండు, పన్నెండు, పదమూడు. All good! Lucas: There you go. Now let's do a quick review. I'll say the number in English, you say it in Telugu. Eleven? Luna: పదకొండు. Lucas: Twelve? Luna: పన్నెండు. Lucas: Thirteen? Luna: పదమూడు. Lucas: Fourteen? Luna: పద్నాలుగు. Lucas: Fifteen? Luna: పదిహేను. Lucas: Excellent. You've got them all. Luna: Thanks, Lucas. I feel more confident already. Lucas: That's the goal. Keep practicing these throughout your day. Count things around you. Luna: I will. I'm going to count my steps in Telugu. Lucas: Love that idea. That's all for today's episode. Thanks for joining us on Learn Telugu with Fexingo. Luna: Keep practicing, and we'll see you next time for more Telugu. Bye! Lucas: Bye!
