- 0:13Speaker 1: Hello, you guys.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Welcome back to another episode of the Hotgrel Energy Podcast.
- 0:17Speaker 2: I'm your host, Kaylee, and this is your weekly reminder
- 0:20Speaker 2: that it's a new day, a new week, a new mindset,
- 0:23Speaker 2: and another day for you to become the hot grow
- 0:25Speaker 2: Energy you want to attract. Oh my god, guys, I
- 0:28Speaker 2: low key just blacked out there because I literally forgot
- 0:31Speaker 2: my intro for the podcast. That was really funny. I
- 0:34Speaker 2: think it's because I've been filming more YouTube videos lately
- 0:38Speaker 2: that I literally naturally felt to say, Hi, guys, it's killy,
- 0:43Speaker 2: welcome to my channel. I don't know what happened there,
- 0:45Speaker 2: but anyways, I eventually had to just edit this and
- 0:48Speaker 2: remember what I was supposed to say. But that was
- 0:51Speaker 2: quite funny.
- 0:52Speaker 1: But welcome back to another episode.
- 0:54Speaker 2: I hope you guys are having the most amazing Fall
- 0:57Speaker 2: season yet. I have gotten so many messages about the
- 1:01Speaker 2: most recent Fall episodes and it looks like you guys
- 1:04Speaker 2: are absolutely.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Loving it, so that makes me so happy.
- 1:07Speaker 2: I enjoy recording these as much as you guys love
- 1:10Speaker 2: listening to them, so that makes me super excited. If
- 1:13Speaker 2: you can't tell, I feel like Fall is my season.
- 1:16Speaker 2: I truly feel like this is when I thrive the most.
- 1:19Speaker 2: I also really enjoy the Christmas season, like, honestly, like
- 1:22Speaker 2: the last four months of the year, from like September
- 1:25Speaker 2: to December, I truly feel my happiest self. And I
- 1:28Speaker 2: think it's just because so much happens within this timeframe,
- 1:32Speaker 2: like Thanksgiving happens, obviously, Christmas happens, and then I also
- 1:36Speaker 2: just feel like work's usually really busy as well, you know,
- 1:39Speaker 2: just getting brand deals up all that. So for some reason,
- 1:42Speaker 2: it just is my favorite time of the year. I
- 1:44Speaker 2: love cozy season. I love making my home extra cozy,
- 1:48Speaker 2: I love doing things around my hometown.
- 1:50Speaker 1: I also feel like Ottawa is the best during.
- 1:53Speaker 2: The fall season because I feel like there's a lot
- 1:54Speaker 2: to do, like you know, as I mentioned in all
- 1:56Speaker 2: the episodes, like going apple picking, going to a pumpkin patch.
- 2:00Speaker 1: You know, Zach and I had a really cute fall
- 2:02Speaker 1: weekend this weekend, which I'll get into. But I don't know.
- 2:04Speaker 1: I also think just because of.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Where I live, I feel like we thrive in the
- 2:09Speaker 2: fall season because.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Of living in Ottawa.
- 2:11Speaker 2: I don't know if anyone in Ottawa really listens to
- 2:13Speaker 2: my podcast, but if you do, like let me know.
- 2:15Speaker 2: If you guys agree that, I feel like Ottawa's the best.
- 2:18Speaker 2: There's a lot of football.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Games going on usually around this time of year.
- 2:20Speaker 2: As well, hockey starts back up all that, so I
- 2:23Speaker 2: just like there's a lot going around in the city
- 2:25Speaker 2: as well, which gets me excited. But yeah, I feel
- 2:29Speaker 2: like I'm feeling really good coming home from the wedding
- 2:31Speaker 2: and I'm just very excited to be into this new season.
- 2:36Speaker 2: So I do want to kind of touch on entering
- 2:39Speaker 2: a new season, and this is why I decided to
- 2:41Speaker 2: make an episode about how to feel hotter entering a
- 2:44Speaker 2: new season, because I truly feel like when we're entering
- 2:48Speaker 2: a new season, there's always this motivation or this you
- 2:52Speaker 2: know drive to potentially change things up, and this could
- 2:56Speaker 2: be a new start or a new beginning to something
- 2:59Speaker 2: that you really want to atch for yourself, whether it's
- 3:01Speaker 2: getting back into a morning routine or getting back into
- 3:04Speaker 2: a routine in general, you know, putting goals that you
- 3:07Speaker 2: want to achieve for yourself. I feel like every new
- 3:10Speaker 2: season there's an opportunity to reset and really just.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Achieve what you want to achieve.
- 3:16Speaker 2: So by going into Fall, I thought it would be
- 3:19Speaker 2: the perfect opportunity to chat about things that I'm personally
- 3:23Speaker 2: trying to achieve this season when it comes to just
- 3:26Speaker 2: feeling hotter, if that's the best term to use, but
- 3:30Speaker 2: also just you know, redesigning my morning routine, my night
- 3:34Speaker 2: routine to the season.
- 3:35Speaker 1: I feel like whenever I'm entering a new season, there's.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Definitely some things that I like to change into my
- 3:41Speaker 2: daily routine because obviously we're getting into the colder months.
- 3:45Speaker 2: I feel like there's a lot of different things in
- 3:48Speaker 2: the fall and winter season that I do versus things
- 3:50Speaker 2: that I do in the summer, And I thought it'd
- 3:52Speaker 2: be a good opportunity to touch on things that I
- 3:55Speaker 2: strive to do this fall season, and thought it would
- 3:58Speaker 2: be a good way to inspire you guys to maybe
- 4:01Speaker 2: do the same and maybe even just redesign your current
- 4:04Speaker 2: morning routine or your current night routine to really just
- 4:06Speaker 2: make it realistic and what you feel is most comfortable
- 4:09Speaker 2: for you to do within this new season. So let's
- 4:12Speaker 2: get into it. I have a few tips and just
- 4:15Speaker 2: some habits that I'm taking into this new season. Things
- 4:19Speaker 2: that I've used to do that I'm getting back into,
- 4:22Speaker 2: or things that you.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Know are new to me, et cetera.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Before we get into this episode, I do want to
- 4:26Speaker 2: quickly talk about this weekend because, as you guys may
- 4:29Speaker 2: have heard, in my most recent episode, I did like
- 4:32Speaker 2: a fall bucket list, just like my fall non negotiables
- 4:36Speaker 2: that I want to do this fall season, and I
- 4:38Speaker 2: feel like I tapped a lot of those things this weekend.
- 4:41Speaker 2: On Friday, my sister and I we went apple picking,
- 4:43Speaker 2: which was super fun. I actually have blogged it for YouTube,
- 4:46Speaker 2: so hopefully I'll have that lolog up in the next
- 4:49Speaker 2: week or two. I've been trying to post twice on YouTube,
- 4:51Speaker 2: so if you guys want to see some visuals of
- 4:54Speaker 2: just things that I do day to day, you guys
- 4:56Speaker 2: can check it out there. But I love YouTube. It's
- 4:59Speaker 2: one of my comfort channels. It's like my favorite thing ever.
- 5:02Speaker 2: That's all I do every morning is I watch YouTube
- 5:04Speaker 2: videos of other creators. It's just like my comfort thing.
- 5:07Speaker 2: But yeah, I love, love, love my YouTube community.
- 5:10Speaker 1: It is the best.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Anyways, on Friday, we did that, so that was very wholesome.
- 5:14Speaker 1: It was a beautiful day.
- 5:15Speaker 2: We got some pictures and we brought some apples home
- 5:18Speaker 2: and I've been eating them.
- 5:20Speaker 1: All weekend and they're so good.
- 5:22Speaker 2: And then on Saturday, Zach and I we made pumpkin pancakes.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Guys, When I tell you this.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Is the best pancakes I've ever had in my life,
- 5:31Speaker 2: I'm not even over exaggerating. There was something about the
- 5:34Speaker 2: pumpkin cure in the pancake mix, and it just was
- 5:38Speaker 2: a game changer adding cinnamon and it was a very
- 5:40Speaker 2: simple recipe. I'm gonna share it on my Instagram and
- 5:43Speaker 2: TikTok this week, but it was basically just regular pancake
- 5:46Speaker 2: mix and then you just add cinnamon and pumpkin pure
- 5:50Speaker 2: to it and it just totally changes the game. Oh
- 5:52Speaker 2: and also pumpkin spice, so there's like nutmeg and all
- 5:56Speaker 2: that in it. But it literally was the best pancakes
- 5:59Speaker 2: I've ever had in my life.
- 6:00Speaker 1: I'm not even.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Overexaggerating, and honestly, like, I really love pancakes, but this
- 6:05Speaker 2: was like another level. Like I can't even describe how
- 6:07Speaker 2: good these were, but ten out of ten recommend making them.
- 6:11Speaker 2: I will make sure to link the real whenever I
- 6:14Speaker 2: do make it in the podcast description that way you
- 6:16Speaker 2: guys can see it for a reference. But wow, I
- 6:19Speaker 2: was totally shocked by that. I did not think they
- 6:21Speaker 2: were going to be as good as they were. I
- 6:23Speaker 2: thought they would just kind of taste a bit different
- 6:26Speaker 2: than a normal pancake, but these were like game changer,
- 6:29Speaker 2: absolutely amazing. So we had that for breakfast. We then
- 6:32Speaker 2: started watching One Tree Hill, which I have not watched
- 6:35Speaker 2: One Tree Hill since my early teens. I was randomly
- 6:38Speaker 2: on Amazon Prime Saturday morning, just like going through different
- 6:41Speaker 2: shows because Zach and I are honestly looking for a
- 6:43Speaker 2: new show. We've been watching Grey's Anatomy and we're almost
- 6:46Speaker 2: done it. Like We've rewatched Gray's Anatomy like three times.
- 6:49Speaker 2: It's just a good show to have in the background
- 6:51Speaker 2: when we're making dinner and whatever the case may be.
- 6:54Speaker 2: We just love to have it as like a background show.
- 6:56Speaker 2: But we wanted to watch another show as well that
- 6:58Speaker 2: we could actually get into, and I saw One Tree
- 7:01Speaker 2: Hill pop up, and I'm like, oh my god, I
- 7:04Speaker 2: have not seen that show in such a long time,
- 7:06Speaker 2: and I feel like it gives fall vibe. So we
- 7:08Speaker 2: started to watch that, and I'm very into it. I'm
- 7:11Speaker 2: very happy that we're starting to watch that. I've also
- 7:14Speaker 2: been watching on the side, like by myself when Zach
- 7:16Speaker 2: isent home, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which is
- 7:20Speaker 2: so good. The drama is amazing and I love it.
- 7:22Speaker 2: And then I've also started to watch Emily and Paris
- 7:25Speaker 2: their new season. And then once I'm done the Secret
- 7:28Speaker 2: Lives of the Mormon Wives, I want to start telling
- 7:30Speaker 2: me Lies. That's a show that I hear everyone talk about.
- 7:33Speaker 2: And I just got Disney Plus literally for this exact
- 7:37Speaker 2: reason to watch The Secret Life of Mormon Wives and
- 7:40Speaker 2: tell me Lies. So I'm trying to use up the
- 7:42Speaker 2: subscription to get some use out of it. I don't
- 7:44Speaker 2: know how long I'm going to keep the Disney Plus
- 7:46Speaker 2: subscription for because I literally just downloaded it for those
- 7:48Speaker 2: two shows, but we shall see. And then to top
- 7:51Speaker 2: off our Saturday, we went to a farmer's market, which
- 7:54Speaker 2: that was another thing that was on my bucket list
- 7:55Speaker 2: to do. Got some fresh sour dough bread, which was amazing.
- 7:59Speaker 2: It's like this Roseman garlic bread and it is phenomenal
- 8:03Speaker 2: for like belts or just like wanting to make some typ.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Of egg toast.
- 8:08Speaker 2: I love it for lunch or for breakfast. It's just
- 8:10Speaker 2: a nice flavor to the bread and it tastes so
- 8:14Speaker 2: fresh and so good, and I'm yeah, I'm obsessed with it,
- 8:17Speaker 2: and then to end off our Saturday, we went to
- 8:19Speaker 2: a winery. There's a winery that's close by. It's called
- 8:21Speaker 2: Kin Vineyards, and it was the perfect end to the night.
- 8:25Speaker 2: The sun was setting, the weather was beautiful. It got
- 8:27Speaker 2: a little chilly at night, which was kind of nice.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Like the Crisp air, it wasn't too cold, but we
- 8:32Speaker 2: were able to bring Freddy as well. And we loved
- 8:35Speaker 2: the wine there so much that we bought two bottles
- 8:37Speaker 2: because it was honestly one of the best wines I've had.
- 8:40Speaker 2: I'm not even over exaggerating, it was so good. And
- 8:43Speaker 2: then we ordered dinner there and just had a little
- 8:45Speaker 2: date night.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Zach and I.
- 8:46Speaker 2: We haven't done a date since our honeymoon, so we
- 8:49Speaker 2: felt the need to go on a little date night
- 8:51Speaker 2: this weekend, and yeah.
- 8:53Speaker 1: That was what we did.
- 8:54Speaker 2: It was pretty chill, it was definitely fall inspired. And
- 8:58Speaker 2: that's what I like to do during the false and
- 9:00Speaker 2: has just create a little bucket list and knock down
- 9:02Speaker 2: things that I want to do each weekend, whether it's
- 9:04Speaker 2: with friends or with Zach or with my sister. Just
- 9:08Speaker 2: doing fun things together is always a good time. So yeah,
- 9:12Speaker 2: that's what I did this weekend. But let's get into
- 9:14Speaker 2: this episode and let's chat about things that we're doing
- 9:17Speaker 2: this season to feel hotter. All Right, some of this
- 9:20Speaker 2: stuff is things that I did some research on, but
- 9:22Speaker 2: also just some things that I'm doing myself that I
- 9:25Speaker 2: feel is going to really boost my confidence, is really
- 9:29Speaker 2: going to just make me feel hotter by investing myself,
- 9:32Speaker 2: making these things a priority to do every single morning
- 9:35Speaker 2: or every single night, or just again investing in myself.
- 9:39Speaker 2: So firstly is working on my hair health. Now, if
- 9:43Speaker 2: you guys have seen a picture of me on social media,
- 9:45Speaker 2: you guys know that I have.
- 9:45Speaker 1: A lot of hair, and I do.
- 9:47Speaker 2: However, not everything is joan close up when it comes
- 9:53Speaker 2: to my hair, but I wear a lot of slick
- 9:55Speaker 2: back looks.
- 9:56Speaker 1: I'm a slick back early. It's my favorite thing to do.
- 9:59Speaker 2: However, my hair is hating me for that because I
- 10:02Speaker 2: have noticed that I'm starting to get like little baby
- 10:05Speaker 2: hairs and mini bald spots, I would say when it
- 10:09Speaker 2: comes to my scalp. So I've seen a lot of
- 10:12Speaker 2: influencers who you know, chat about hair health or skincare
- 10:16Speaker 2: or anything like that, and the one thing they recommend
- 10:19Speaker 2: is really getting into hair oiling, so I fully went
- 10:24Speaker 2: on Amazon. I ordered rosemary oil. I ordered a applicator
- 10:28Speaker 2: to you know, put the oil in, like it's a
- 10:31Speaker 2: little brush that you can put around your scalp area.
- 10:35Speaker 2: I bought a bamboo brush to activate the oil in
- 10:38Speaker 2: those specific areas. So you're supposed to like rub all
- 10:41Speaker 2: around in your head. You're supposed to leave it in
- 10:44Speaker 2: for a few hours, you know, just putting a clog
- 10:45Speaker 2: clip in your hair for a few hours, and then
- 10:47Speaker 2: wash it out whenever it's hair wash day. So that
- 10:49Speaker 2: is something I'm trying to rebuild for my hair strength
- 10:54Speaker 2: is just overall growing my hair back around my scalp
- 10:57Speaker 2: area and honestly trying to do less slick back looks.
- 11:00Speaker 2: I've been actually trying to wear headbands more like you
- 11:02Speaker 2: know those fabric headbands. I just get mine off Amazon,
- 11:05Speaker 2: and it just kind of pushes my hair back. But
- 11:08Speaker 2: you know, if my hair is greasy, you can't really
- 11:10Speaker 2: tell because the headband's covering it. So I'm just trying
- 11:12Speaker 2: to find different hairstyles to do because I don't like
- 11:15Speaker 2: to overly wash my hair. One it's actually good for
- 11:19Speaker 2: your hair to.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Not wash it too often.
- 11:21Speaker 2: And two I don't want to go through the effort
- 11:24Speaker 2: of blow drying my hair, you know, every second day
- 11:27Speaker 2: I try and only do a good like blow dry
- 11:31Speaker 2: once or twice a week max. You know. I've been
- 11:34Speaker 2: trying to use the overnight heatless curls, which I love.
- 11:38Speaker 1: It's just I feel like, because I.
- 11:40Speaker 2: Work out so much, it's just hard to maintain my
- 11:43Speaker 2: hair to look good, if that makes sense. Like if
- 11:45Speaker 2: I do the heatless curl overnight thing, I have to
- 11:48Speaker 2: do it when I'm not working out the next morning because.
- 11:50Speaker 1: It's a waste.
- 11:52Speaker 2: If I do it and I have a spinkle class
- 11:54Speaker 2: the next morning or a plates class, I know it's
- 11:55Speaker 2: just going to get ruined. So I feel like it's
- 11:57Speaker 2: a waste of my time doing it. So it's more
- 12:00Speaker 2: so just really conquering down a routine and figuring out
- 12:04Speaker 2: the days of when I should be washing my hair
- 12:06Speaker 2: and when I could do the heatless curls, and how
- 12:08Speaker 2: can I avoid doing slick back looks, you know, maybe
- 12:12Speaker 2: narrowing down to twice a week versus you know, every day,
- 12:15Speaker 2: because I almost want my hair in a slick buck look.
- 12:17Speaker 1: I would say almost every day. It's pretty bad.
- 12:19Speaker 2: So I'm really trying to change that by getting into
- 12:22Speaker 2: a hair oiling routine. I'm also trying to take hair vitamins.
- 12:25Speaker 2: So there's a brand called, I think It's well Being
- 12:30Speaker 2: they have it's like supposed to stimulate hair growth. And
- 12:35Speaker 2: I think there's another brand it's called Natural Fole I think,
- 12:38Speaker 2: and you can get those both off Amazon and Revolve,
- 12:40Speaker 2: I believe. And yeah, so anyways, I'm trying that out
- 12:43Speaker 2: right now. I will keep you guys updated on that.
- 12:45Speaker 2: But that's something I'm really trying to focus on because
- 12:47Speaker 2: I truly feel like your hair is a big part
- 12:49Speaker 2: of just feeling confident and feeling good and feeling sexy,
- 12:53Speaker 2: and if your hair is not at its prime, I
- 12:56Speaker 2: feel like, I don't know, it makes a big difference.
- 12:58Speaker 2: So yeah, that is what I'm doing. I'm focusing on
- 13:01Speaker 2: my hair health. Another thing I've been doing is wanting
- 13:03Speaker 2: to continue getting my nails done, but also taking more
- 13:06Speaker 2: effort by doing more pedicures. I feel like whenever I
- 13:08Speaker 2: get my nails done, I just always assume, Okay, no
- 13:11Speaker 2: one's going to see my feet, Like I don't need
- 13:13Speaker 2: to get a pedicure.
- 13:13Speaker 1: It's a waste some money.
- 13:15Speaker 2: But sometimes I feel like having a matching set, like
- 13:18Speaker 2: having your nails done and your toes done done on
- 13:20Speaker 2: the same color. There's something about that that just feels
- 13:24Speaker 2: more put together, Like having the same color on your
- 13:26Speaker 2: nails on your hands and then the same color on
- 13:29Speaker 2: your toes. There's just something about it that I feel
- 13:31Speaker 2: like it makes me feel hotter and I feel better
- 13:34Speaker 2: about it. Another thing I've been thinking about doing is
- 13:36Speaker 2: changing up my nail shape, Like, oh, that kind of
- 13:39Speaker 2: sounds scary because if it looks like shit, then it's
- 13:42Speaker 2: quite disappointing. But I've been seeing a lot of people
- 13:45Speaker 2: do short lately, and whether it's short round or short square,
- 13:50Speaker 2: I don't know if I could ever go back to
- 13:52Speaker 2: short square, like that is an era of me that
- 13:55Speaker 2: was so long ago that I look back at photos
- 13:57Speaker 2: and it just I feel like it looks awful. I
- 14:00Speaker 2: feel like you can only do the short square nails
- 14:03Speaker 2: if you're doing your natural nails. So for me, these
- 14:06Speaker 2: are not my natural nails. These are gel So I
- 14:08Speaker 2: feel like when I do short square they look stubby
- 14:11Speaker 2: and like my personal opinion, like on my hands. It
- 14:13Speaker 2: could be because I have chubby hands. I have no idea,
- 14:16Speaker 2: but anyways, I like doing the narrow almond shape because
- 14:20Speaker 2: I feel like it elongates my hands, So I don't know.
- 14:24Speaker 1: I might do round short. I feel like that might
- 14:26Speaker 1: be the safest, but I will keep you guys updated
- 14:29Speaker 1: on that.
- 14:30Speaker 2: I don't know if I'm going to want to do
- 14:31Speaker 2: that immediately, like once I get a dark nail, because
- 14:34Speaker 2: I'm changing up my nails later this week, which I'm
- 14:37Speaker 2: excited about doing a darker nail color for the fall season.
- 14:41Speaker 1: But I don't know if I'm going to jump on
- 14:43Speaker 1: the shorter nails yet.
- 14:44Speaker 2: But I will be getting a pedicure to match my
- 14:47Speaker 2: nails because I think it just makes me feel hotter.
- 14:50Speaker 2: I feel like I'll feel more put together, and yeah,
- 14:52Speaker 2: I just want to start putting the effort and doing that.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Another thing I want to get back into for the
- 14:58Speaker 2: fall and winter season is bi weekly spraytnds. I'm already
- 15:02Speaker 2: starting to lose my tan from the summer, and I
- 15:05Speaker 2: just feel like having a good tan makes the biggest
- 15:08Speaker 2: difference in the world. I feel like my confidence just
- 15:10Speaker 2: goes from zero to one hundred so fast. Feel more confident,
- 15:14Speaker 2: I feel more put together. If you have mastered self
- 15:17Speaker 2: tanner go you that is amazing, I would continue doing that.
- 15:20Speaker 2: I honestly have not found a self tanner that I
- 15:23Speaker 2: personally love. I have used Jerkins in the past, which
- 15:27Speaker 2: is honestly amazing. If you're going to a wedding and
- 15:30Speaker 2: just need a quick glow up, like I feel.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Like that's great.
- 15:32Speaker 2: But what I love about spray hands is how long
- 15:35Speaker 2: they last. And I think that's why I personally find
- 15:38Speaker 2: it's worth the money because it lasts for longer than
- 15:40Speaker 2: a week, whereas I feel like self tanner for me,
- 15:42Speaker 2: it doesn't really stand.
- 15:43Speaker 1: My body that long, and I find it just gets.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Really patchy pretty fast. But if you have a good
- 15:48Speaker 2: routine that you nail down to, that's amazing. But for
- 15:51Speaker 2: me personally, I'm going to get back into spray hands
- 15:53Speaker 2: and I'm going to continue doing that just because I
- 15:55Speaker 2: feel super super hot when I do that. Another thing
- 15:59Speaker 2: that I want to continue doing is creating the perfect
- 16:03Speaker 2: capsule wardrobe. And what I mean by that is honestly
- 16:06Speaker 2: just spending a bit more money on certain clothing pieces.
- 16:10Speaker 2: And I know this is not for everybody, and some
- 16:13Speaker 2: people have their own opinions when it comes to clothing.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Some people may not think it's worth the price.
- 16:17Speaker 2: They'd rather just spend you know, less money on trendy
- 16:21Speaker 2: styles that will go out and you know, we'll rebuy
- 16:24Speaker 2: new pieces for the next season. But for me, personally,
- 16:28Speaker 2: I do spend a bit more money on my clothing.
- 16:31Speaker 2: I know it's not kind of cater everybody, but this
- 16:33Speaker 2: is just my personal opinion. I would rather spend more
- 16:37Speaker 2: money on certain basics like knit sweaters, cardigans, a good
- 16:42Speaker 2: pair of jeans, a good pair of just basic pants.
- 16:45Speaker 2: Most of the things that I've spent a lot of
- 16:47Speaker 2: money on are my go to staples and I wear
- 16:50Speaker 2: all the freaking time and still wear to this day.
- 16:53Speaker 2: There's things I've bought from three to four years ago
- 16:55Speaker 2: that I spent a decent penny on, but I still
- 16:57Speaker 2: wear it because it's still in it. It's still in
- 17:01Speaker 2: great quality and great condition. I take care of them.
- 17:04Speaker 2: I feel like I put more effort and making sure
- 17:06Speaker 2: that I take good care of them, if that makes sense,
- 17:08Speaker 2: Like I don't, you know, I try to avoid getting
- 17:10Speaker 2: scenes on it. I try to make sure I wash
- 17:12Speaker 2: it with the proper washing instructions whenever I do laundry,
- 17:16Speaker 2: or you know, if.
- 17:16Speaker 1: I had to get them dry clean, anything like that.
- 17:18Speaker 2: So I would rather spend my money on really good
- 17:23Speaker 2: pieces and invest in them and have it for the
- 17:26Speaker 2: rest of my life and being able to maybe give it.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Down to my daughter one day.
- 17:30Speaker 2: But yeah, so that's something that I'm trying to put
- 17:32Speaker 2: more effort towards is getting more staple pieces for my
- 17:36Speaker 2: capsule wardrobe. And I also love just a good matching set,
- 17:40Speaker 2: So wearing a matching set, I feel more put together
- 17:42Speaker 2: when it comes to matching sets for pajamas or matching
- 17:45Speaker 2: sets for workout sets. You guys always see me wearing
- 17:48Speaker 2: workout sets because I feel the most put together when
- 17:50Speaker 2: I'm in a matching set pyjs. I've been looking on Skims.
- 17:54Speaker 2: They've been having really, really, really good new styles that
- 17:57Speaker 2: I've been obsessed with, Like a cute little gray tank
- 18:00Speaker 2: with gray pants that I've been seeing that's in my
- 18:03Speaker 2: cart currently. I love the Skims boxers. I always wear
- 18:07Speaker 2: that with a matching long sleeve. So yeah, just matching
- 18:11Speaker 2: sets in general always makes me feel good. All right,
- 18:14Speaker 2: let's get into habits for my morning routine to feel
- 18:17Speaker 2: hotter as well as.
- 18:18Speaker 1: My night routine.
- 18:19Speaker 2: So for my morning routine, I need to be sticking
- 18:22Speaker 2: to a consistent habit of drinking a gallon of water daily.
- 18:28Speaker 2: I've been so bad, guys, I'm not even over exaggerating,
- 18:31Speaker 2: I think ever since Europe.
- 18:33Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 18:33Speaker 2: I just feel like I've been lacking my water intake.
- 18:36Speaker 2: And also I lost my favorite water bottle. I had
- 18:39Speaker 2: a brewmate, and I feel like having a water bottle
- 18:42Speaker 2: that big was really motivational. And you guys know I've
- 18:46Speaker 2: mentioned it in other episodes, but buying a new water bottle,
- 18:49Speaker 2: there's something about that that just motivates me to drink
- 18:53Speaker 2: more water.
- 18:54Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 18:54Speaker 2: I feel like there's other people that feel that way,
- 18:56Speaker 2: but whenever I get a new water bottle, I feel
- 18:58Speaker 2: like I'm motivated to more water. So I think this
- 19:01Speaker 2: is my sign that I need a new water bottle
- 19:03Speaker 2: because I lost mine. I've been using my simple modern tumbler,
- 19:08Speaker 2: which has been great, but it is on the smaller
- 19:11Speaker 2: side and I'm not reaching my daily water intake goal.
- 19:14Speaker 2: So I need to get a bigger water bottle so
- 19:16Speaker 2: I can meet my goal because I'm honestly only having
- 19:19Speaker 2: maybe one of these a day, which is not enough,
- 19:22Speaker 2: and I'm always gravitating towards an electrolyte to keep myself hydrated,
- 19:27Speaker 2: which I have an electrolyte every single day, but I
- 19:29Speaker 2: feel like it's more needed because I'm not drinking enough water.
- 19:32Speaker 2: So anyways, that's a big goal of mine for the
- 19:35Speaker 2: morning because I feel like, obviously when I'm hydrated, I
- 19:38Speaker 2: feel better, I feel more motivated to do things, I
- 19:41Speaker 2: feel more productive. It's just something that I feel good
- 19:44Speaker 2: whenever I do have and that's very normal. And other
- 19:48Speaker 2: liquids that I always try to include in my morning
- 19:50Speaker 2: routine are my greens, whether it's a g One or
- 19:53Speaker 2: Bloom those are my two favorite brands electrolytes. My favorite
- 19:56Speaker 2: electrolytes brand is Organica. I usually have one or two
- 19:59Speaker 2: of those a day. A colostrum is something that's new
- 20:02Speaker 2: to me. I've been adding this into my green powder
- 20:04Speaker 2: and it's an extra boost of protein, but it's also
- 20:06Speaker 2: an extra source of collagen, which is great for your
- 20:09Speaker 2: skin and great to hydrate your skin.
- 20:12Speaker 1: And all that. So anyways, I've been including that.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Into my greens. There's no taste to it. I've been
- 20:17Speaker 2: using the Bloom one and it's been amazing, so highly
- 20:20Speaker 2: highly recommend adding colostrum. It's got no taste. You probably
- 20:23Speaker 2: added to your coffee and you wouldn't taste anything either.
- 20:26Speaker 2: But again it's it's got like five grams of protein
- 20:28Speaker 2: per scoop and again there's collagen in it, which is
- 20:31Speaker 2: great for your skin.
- 20:32Speaker 1: And then tea and coffee is also my other liquids
- 20:34Speaker 1: that I love to have in the morning.
- 20:36Speaker 2: Another thing I'm trying to make a priority is working
- 20:39Speaker 2: out four to five times a week. I've mentioned this
- 20:41Speaker 2: a few times since being home from Italy. I've been
- 20:44Speaker 2: pretty consistent with getting back into the swing of things,
- 20:46Speaker 2: which has been great. You know, I'm spinning, I'm going
- 20:49Speaker 2: to pilates, I'm doing my at home workouts. I don't
- 20:52Speaker 2: really have a drive to change any of that, but
- 20:56Speaker 2: I do want to try a different type of workout
- 20:59Speaker 2: side with Zach once a week. So Zach, I feel like,
- 21:04Speaker 2: is having a hard time working out lately because of
- 21:07Speaker 2: his job. He wakes up so early, he comes home
- 21:10Speaker 2: so late, like he legit doesn't have the time to
- 21:13Speaker 2: work out, and he keeps, you know, telling me like, oh,
- 21:15Speaker 2: I got to get to the gym, Like I need
- 21:16Speaker 2: your motivation. I need you to help me and motivate
- 21:20Speaker 2: me to get to the gym. But I feel like
- 21:21Speaker 2: the reason why he hasn't been going to the gym
- 21:23Speaker 2: is because there's some type of lack of enjoyment of
- 21:28Speaker 2: going to the gym. Like I personally feel like he
- 21:30Speaker 2: just doesn't fully enjoy it. I think he goes there,
- 21:32Speaker 2: he does it for forty minutes, he comes home and
- 21:34Speaker 2: like yeah, like he may have said, oh, yeah, it
- 21:36Speaker 2: was a good workout, but like I just don't see enjoyment.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Like when I go to plates, when I go to spinning,
- 21:41Speaker 2: like I fully enjoy the workout, I fully feel motivated
- 21:44Speaker 2: to go there because I enjoy it, Whereas I feel
- 21:46Speaker 2: like for him, like he doesn't want to make the
- 21:48Speaker 2: effort do it just because he doesn't fully enjoy what
- 21:51Speaker 2: he's doing. So I want to push him and I
- 21:53Speaker 2: want to start working out with him once a week,
- 21:56Speaker 2: you know, maybe on the weekend, maybe we do it
- 21:57Speaker 2: every Saturday morning. So I'm thinking we might try some
- 22:00Speaker 2: type of circuit training, whether it's like a Barrie's class
- 22:03Speaker 2: or an Orange Theory class, just something that we could
- 22:05Speaker 2: do together, because a I think that's a fun thing
- 22:07Speaker 2: to do in the morning together, especially having each other
- 22:10Speaker 2: and being able to motivate each other to do these things. Together,
- 22:12Speaker 2: I think is really nice. So that's something that I
- 22:15Speaker 2: want to get into, whether it's on Saturday mornings or
- 22:17Speaker 2: Sunday mornings. So it's a different type of workout style
- 22:20Speaker 2: for me personally. I don't know if I'm going to
- 22:21Speaker 2: love it. I don't know if I'm gonna hate it.
- 22:23Speaker 2: But we're all about trying new things and you know,
- 22:26Speaker 2: trying things out of our comfort zone. So yeah, I'll
- 22:29Speaker 2: keep you guys updated on that. But just working out
- 22:32Speaker 2: in general four to five times a week is something
- 22:34Speaker 2: that I feel good doing all the time. I feel
- 22:37Speaker 2: more confident when I get a workout in. I feel
- 22:39Speaker 2: just more myself. I feel like it's a great way
- 22:41Speaker 2: to help with my mental health as well, just destressing,
- 22:45Speaker 2: and yeah, it's just something that I make a non
- 22:47Speaker 2: negotiable every single day. Another thing is just walking daily.
- 22:51Speaker 2: You guys know that I'm a huge, huge believer in
- 22:54Speaker 2: going outside daily, going for a walk, whether it's a
- 22:57Speaker 2: thirty minute walk, an hour walk. I'm all about going
- 23:00Speaker 2: on my hawk Girl walks. And right now I'm already
- 23:03Speaker 2: thinking about the winter and I do struggle with walking
- 23:06Speaker 2: in the winter. That is not a shock to anybody,
- 23:09Speaker 2: because I've mentioned it in the past, but I'm already
- 23:11Speaker 2: thinking ahead in terms of how I can get my
- 23:14Speaker 2: steps in for the day. And I have to go
- 23:16Speaker 2: outside no matter what to walk, Freddy, It's definitely not
- 23:19Speaker 2: going to be a thirty minute to an hour walk.
- 23:21Speaker 2: It's most likely going to be a ten minute walk,
- 23:23Speaker 2: and that's okay, that's just what works for me. I
- 23:25Speaker 2: do not like the cold. No matter how warm I dress,
- 23:28Speaker 2: it is so cold here that it just doesn't work
- 23:30Speaker 2: for me. So I've already been looking into investing in
- 23:33Speaker 2: a walking treadmill, those little foldable walking treadmills that you
- 23:37Speaker 2: can get off Amazon. And I'm going to also need
- 23:39Speaker 2: to invest in a mobile table or desk that way
- 23:43Speaker 2: I can work on my laptop while using this treadmill.
- 23:47Speaker 2: And I think there's obviously a goal to wanting to
- 23:50Speaker 2: hit a certain amount of steps a day, which is
- 23:52Speaker 2: obviously great, but I don't know. I feel like for
- 23:54Speaker 2: my mental health, moving my body in different ways on
- 23:58Speaker 2: the daily just really helps my mental health. So I
- 24:00Speaker 2: think investing in this is going to be a really
- 24:02Speaker 2: really big thing for me, especially during that winter depression mode.
- 24:06Speaker 2: I think walking it out and working at the same
- 24:09Speaker 2: time is going to be a game changer. So yeah,
- 24:11Speaker 2: when I'm editing content or answering emails, I want to
- 24:14Speaker 2: be able to reach my step goals by using a
- 24:17Speaker 2: walking treadmill, and yeah, just investing in something that I
- 24:20Speaker 2: can use throughout the colder seasons. Another thing I want
- 24:25Speaker 2: to be doing for my morning routines that just makes
- 24:28Speaker 2: me feel good is honestly changing.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Up my breakfast. I feel like I've been in a
- 24:31Speaker 1: breakfast rut.
- 24:32Speaker 2: I don't know if anyone can relate to that, but
- 24:35Speaker 2: I've been having the same breakfast every single morning, and
- 24:37Speaker 2: I feel like this always happens to me. I have
- 24:39Speaker 2: the same thing for like four to five months, and
- 24:41Speaker 2: then I'm sick and tired of it and I.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Need to change it up.
- 24:44Speaker 2: But I feel like I just need to be consistent
- 24:45Speaker 2: at putting a bit more effort by going on Pinterest
- 24:48Speaker 2: finding these breakfast recipes. I'm great with dinner recipes, lunch,
- 24:52Speaker 2: I could still work on a bit, just because I
- 24:54Speaker 2: feel like I'm lazy when it comes to that, but
- 24:57Speaker 2: my breakfast is I just feel like I go to
- 24:59Speaker 2: the same thing every single time and that's it. So
- 25:01Speaker 2: I've been really wanting to add more protein by trying
- 25:04Speaker 2: different Pinterest recipes that I've found, so one of them
- 25:08Speaker 2: being the Lazy Girl pancake bowl. If you've never seen that,
- 25:11Speaker 2: it looks amazing. I've never tried it, but I've been
- 25:13Speaker 2: really wanting to try and make that. Something that I
- 25:16Speaker 2: actually made this morning that was different, which I'm proud
- 25:19Speaker 2: of myself for doing, is I haven't had oatmeal in
- 25:22Speaker 2: almost a year, so I made cinnamon apple oats and
- 25:25Speaker 2: they were so good. And yeah, so that's something that
- 25:28Speaker 2: I tried that was different, which I enjoyed. I added
- 25:30Speaker 2: a bit of protein powder to it as well. And
- 25:32Speaker 2: obviously the pumpkin pancakes was also something different, but that's
- 25:35Speaker 2: more of like a little weekend treat. It's not really
- 25:37Speaker 2: like a daily breakfast to have. So yeah, just putting
- 25:41Speaker 2: in the effort by changing it up, you know, making
- 25:44Speaker 2: healthier breakfasts all that. That's just something that I feel
- 25:46Speaker 2: good doing and it's nice to try different things out
- 25:50Speaker 2: and I feel like, yeah, I just need to put
- 25:52Speaker 2: more effort into my recipes in the morning. Another thing
- 25:54Speaker 2: I want to get back into is journaling to be
- 25:57Speaker 2: fully transparent. I totally fell off my journaling habit when
- 26:02Speaker 2: I went to Italy, and when I came back, I
- 26:04Speaker 2: kind of got back into routine and really focused on,
- 26:06Speaker 2: you know, my workout schedule and my work schedule and
- 26:09Speaker 2: making sure, you know, I'm.
- 26:11Speaker 1: Getting my walks in daily and all that. Like, obviously,
- 26:13Speaker 1: there's so much.
- 26:14Speaker 2: That I try to make a priority into my routine,
- 26:16Speaker 2: but there's always going to be something that I can
- 26:18Speaker 2: fall off the track of and that's normal, that is healthy.
- 26:22Speaker 2: And so I have not gotten into my journaling routine
- 26:25Speaker 2: in a long time, so I'm really trying to make
- 26:27Speaker 2: it a priority this season by getting back into it
- 26:29Speaker 2: because I know how good it does feel to do this,
- 26:32Speaker 2: as well as my daily to do list. Whenever I
- 26:34Speaker 2: do a daily to do list, you guys know that
- 26:36Speaker 2: I feel the most productive when I'm doing this, So
- 26:38Speaker 2: just getting back into that always makes me feel good.
- 26:41Speaker 2: And lastly is making sure I'm putting in the effort
- 26:43Speaker 2: every single day no matter what. So you know, I'm
- 26:46Speaker 2: trying to put more effort into my outfits. I feel
- 26:48Speaker 2: like even just going to run errands or walking the dog,
- 26:50Speaker 2: you guys can probably see that I'm trying to put
- 26:52Speaker 2: more effort into my fashion because I love fashion. I
- 26:55Speaker 2: feel good when I'm dressed up. I'm trying to do
- 26:58Speaker 2: my makeup every single day, no matter what, even if
- 27:00Speaker 2: I'm not leaving the house, because it motivates me. I
- 27:03Speaker 2: feel more productive. There's just like little things like that
- 27:06Speaker 2: that just puts me in a better mood and I
- 27:09Speaker 2: actually get shit done. So those are some of the
- 27:11Speaker 2: things I'm doing to Yeah, just like level up my
- 27:15Speaker 2: morning routine and just get back into these habits because
- 27:17Speaker 2: it makes me feel so good.
- 27:18Speaker 1: Lastly, let's talk about some habits.
- 27:20Speaker 2: For my night routine that's gonna make me feel hotter
- 27:23Speaker 2: this season. Firstly is cooking healthy meals at home. I
- 27:26Speaker 2: always love to cook at home meals. I have been
- 27:29Speaker 2: really really inspired going into a new season by trying
- 27:32Speaker 2: new recipes out. I love, love, love try and fall recipes.
- 27:37Speaker 2: Zach and I made tomato soup. Last week, we did
- 27:40Speaker 2: chicken noodle soup. We've done a few different.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Types of soups. Obviously some a huge soup girl.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Other things that I've been wanting to make are like
- 27:46Speaker 2: a butternut squash yoki. I always have some healthy go
- 27:49Speaker 2: to meals that I love, like marrying me chicken, peta pizza,
- 27:53Speaker 2: sometimes just a taco.
- 27:54Speaker 1: Bowl or a burger bowl.
- 27:55Speaker 2: All in all, I just love taking the time and
- 27:58Speaker 2: putting in the effort to making a good cooked home
- 28:01Speaker 2: meal dinner. I also feel like it's something enjoyable to
- 28:03Speaker 2: do with Zac. It's something that we both love to
- 28:06Speaker 2: do together, and I think it's, I don't know, just
- 28:08Speaker 2: something that brings us closer together by cooking together. There's
- 28:12Speaker 2: not one person that cooks and one person that does nothing.
- 28:14Speaker 2: We both put the effort in cooking together, which is
- 28:17Speaker 2: quite enjoyable. And we're finally going to be doing our
- 28:20Speaker 2: Fall Dinner.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Series this week, so stay tuned for that.
- 28:23Speaker 2: We're going to be doing that again and those are
- 28:24Speaker 2: like some of my favorite videos that we film, so
- 28:26Speaker 2: I'm excited to get back into that series. Another thing
- 28:29Speaker 2: that we make a non negotiable when it comes to
- 28:31Speaker 2: our night routine is always making sure that we do
- 28:33Speaker 2: a big post dinner cleanup. So I always want to
- 28:36Speaker 2: make sure that the kitchen is completely reset before we
- 28:39Speaker 2: head upstairs to bed and watch TV. So I always
- 28:41Speaker 2: make sure that the house looks pristine. All the dishes
- 28:44Speaker 2: are clean, all the dishes are in the dishwasher, the
- 28:47Speaker 2: floors are clean, the couch is in shape, because my
- 28:49Speaker 2: couch is one of those couches where it just gets
- 28:52Speaker 2: messy all the time, so I have to constantly fluff
- 28:54Speaker 2: it for it to look perfect. So just those little
- 28:57Speaker 2: things just to make sure that when I wake up
- 28:59Speaker 2: in the morning, the house slopes put together.
- 29:01Speaker 1: I don't have to do anything. It feels clean.
- 29:03Speaker 2: I feel like if I just, you know, leave it
- 29:05Speaker 2: to do in the morning, I won't.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Do it because I'll be busy with work.
- 29:09Speaker 2: So I always make sure to do like a little
- 29:11Speaker 2: post dinner cleanup and reset the house so I wake
- 29:14Speaker 2: up to a clean home. Another thing I make up
- 29:16Speaker 2: priority is making time for myself. So whether it's setting
- 29:20Speaker 2: thirty minutes aside.
- 29:21Speaker 1: To have a hot bath, a hot.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Shower, asana session, your skincare routine, it could be all
- 29:26Speaker 2: those things in one I personally been trying to do
- 29:29Speaker 2: hot showers my skincare routine. I've also recently added a
- 29:33Speaker 2: red therapy mask to my night routine.
- 29:35Speaker 1: These are things that I've been.
- 29:36Speaker 2: Honestly doing for a while, but the red therapy mask
- 29:38Speaker 2: is new to me, and I've been trying to do
- 29:40Speaker 2: it like once every three days. I don't do it
- 29:43Speaker 2: every single night. But it's been a huge difference in
- 29:47Speaker 2: my skin. I feel like it's been really really helping
- 29:49Speaker 2: with the hydration. I just have super dry skin, so
- 29:52Speaker 2: I feel like going into the colder seasons, it's going
- 29:55Speaker 2: to get even worse. So I'm trying to be on
- 29:58Speaker 2: top of my skincare by, you know, making sure I'm
- 30:01Speaker 2: using the thicker moisturizers going into the colder season and
- 30:03Speaker 2: now including this red therapy mask. Another thing I've been
- 30:06Speaker 2: doing is I drink spearmint tea every single night. One
- 30:10Speaker 2: it helps with your skin, but two, I also just
- 30:13Speaker 2: love having tea at night after dinner because I find
- 30:16Speaker 2: it helps with my digestion. I don't know if anyone
- 30:18Speaker 2: else is like that where they need a hot tea
- 30:20Speaker 2: before bed, but that is like a non negotiable for me.
- 30:23Speaker 2: I need a hot tea. I think the heat is
- 30:26Speaker 2: very comforting, but I also think just having I don't know,
- 30:30Speaker 2: just having a tea before bed is like the best
- 30:33Speaker 2: thing ever. I have one every single night, and it's
- 30:35Speaker 2: one of the things I look forward to and I
- 30:37Speaker 2: just feel good drinking a tea. I also love to
- 30:40Speaker 2: try different types of tea during the fall season, like
- 30:43Speaker 2: a pumpkin spice tea or like a bangle tea, chie tea,
- 30:47Speaker 2: anything like that. But spearmint tea has been.
- 30:50Speaker 1: My go too lately. And yeah, that's just something I
- 30:53Speaker 1: do every single night.
- 30:54Speaker 2: The last thing I always try and do in my
- 30:56Speaker 2: night routine that just makes me feel good is actually
- 31:00Speaker 2: winding down, relaxing and setting up the mood. So what
- 31:05Speaker 2: I mean by setting up the mood is actually put
- 31:07Speaker 2: the effort in your space by turning on a fireplace
- 31:10Speaker 2: or some moody lighting, lighting a candle, you know, put
- 31:14Speaker 2: something on your computer or your phone, or grab a book.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Like, what is something you enjoy.
- 31:18Speaker 2: Doing when you're enjoying your rest when you want to relax,
- 31:21Speaker 2: what is the one thing that you always try to
- 31:22Speaker 2: resort to. Maybe it's your kindle, reading your favorite book.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Maybe it's grabbing your laptop and looking at Pinterest. Maybe
- 31:28Speaker 2: it's online shopping. Like, enjoy some downtime. Make sure to
- 31:32Speaker 2: put your work aside or your school aside, and allow
- 31:36Speaker 2: time for yourself. I personally think it makes a huge
- 31:38Speaker 2: impact in your mental health if you don't allow that
- 31:40Speaker 2: balance between you know, your work in school life and
- 31:43Speaker 2: then your own personal time. So I always try and
- 31:46Speaker 2: make sure I have at least an hour that I'm
- 31:49Speaker 2: just winding down. I'm setting the mood in the room
- 31:52Speaker 2: by making sure it feels comfortable, it feels relaxing, it
- 31:55Speaker 2: feels cozy, and doing things that I actually enjoy during
- 31:58Speaker 2: my downtime. So highly highly recommend checking out these habits
- 32:03Speaker 2: if you haven't done so yourself for your night routine,
- 32:06Speaker 2: your morning routine, or just some things that I talked
- 32:08Speaker 2: about that I've been wanting to include into my daily
- 32:12Speaker 2: habits for just making myself feel hotter going into fall.
