- 0:00I know it's enter the judgment zone. You know, every week of this
- 0:04time we enter it and get a little judgy because somebody's reached out to us.
- 0:08They got a situation on their hands, they don't know how to handle
- 0:10it. That's where you come in. Seven oh one two eight h one
- 0:13ninety eight seven. Her name is Brandy. Good morning, Brandy. How
- 0:16are you? I'm good? But I need help? Wow? The right
- 0:20place to call? I hope? All right, Brandy, Well, thanks
- 0:22for doing this with us on the air. I know that's kind of awkward,
- 0:25but why don't you to start from the beginning, tell us what's going
- 0:27on? Okay, So I found out through a great tigne that my sister's
- 0:32boyfriend is planning on popping the question. You're exciting, nice, yes,
- 0:39And here's the problem. I the plan that he has does not sound like
- 0:47anything she would like. It sounds like an absolute disaster and just not really
- 0:52her style. God Like, do you think she would say no, it's
- 0:56that bad? No? I okay, no, she's not that type of
- 1:00person. But I do, like pretty much one hundred percent, know that
- 1:06she would be disappointed. It's not even that if she would get upset or
- 1:08not but we all know your engagement story is a story that you're going to
- 1:12tell the rest of your life. And if she's not going to be like,
- 1:15you know, real proud to tell. I mean, that's that's something
- 1:19that if you can fix it, if you can nip it in the butt
- 1:21here, you probably want to do that, right, How do you fix
- 1:23this? I mean? What I mean, I guess that's probably what your
- 1:26problem is? Like, is that what you want to know is what you
- 1:27should do? Yeah, I mean, like a do I tell her size
- 1:34a bit? I don't? Or like do I say something to him or
- 1:40she do? I just keep quiet and hope for the best. I just
- 1:45I don't know how close are you with him? With her? I'm very
- 1:48close with him. I'm close, but I'm not, Like I don't think
- 1:52I could. I've never just call him personally, That makes sense? What's
- 1:56your necessary different? Yeah? Right, well, Brandy, this is an
- 1:59interesting one. I feel like we could go both ways on this. But
- 2:01what we're gonna do, We're just gonna get some calls, get some texts,
- 2:05see what people think. You just listen in. It will find a
- 2:07solution. Okay, Okay, Yeah, I'm curious to tell people how to
- 2:10say, I appreciate it. I'm personally aman seven oh one two eight ozho
- 2:15one ninety eight seven. By the way, feel free to call or text
- 2:17let us know. Should Brandy tell her sister's boyfriend soon to be fiance that
- 2:23his proposal plan sucks? No? Why why get just a harmony out of
- 2:29it? As a guy, I can relate. Wh're like, you know,
- 2:31yeah, I'm sure you put thought into it, but like certainly open
- 2:35to suggestions. If you know, and her sister would know, I would
- 2:38be all about it. I would appreciate that you think. I think you
- 2:44think you would until you hear it, and then you're like, oh gosh,
- 2:46well hi, let us know what you think. What should she do?
- 2:49It's big ninety eight point seven. We're in the judgment zone in the
- 2:53morning, Big ninety eight point seven. You know you've been struggling with all
- 2:55of the new age dating apps not finding the right person. Oh, I
- 3:00can't imagine. Maybe you ought to try a little more traditional media. I'm
- 3:05talking about a roadside billboard. One man did spent four hundred bucks for a
- 3:12whole week of advertising himself on a billboard in order to find a girlfriend.
- 3:17So great, I gotta know what is his uh, what is his slogan?
- 3:23Well, you know his name is out Does that he mean his name?
- 3:25Well, no, it's like slogan if he has like, well,
- 3:28I'll tell you what they go now? And the cool thing is that al
- 3:31seventy So he's you know, so he's really you know, I don't say
- 3:36he's running out of time, but he's looking for love. Okay, so
- 3:38he's kind of golden bachelor. Tell me, would you fall for this?
- 3:40If you're driving along I ninety four and the billboard caught your eye? Big
- 3:46letters, lonely mail, can relocate. Let's good sweetwater, which is the
- 3:53location he's in in Texas, Mike, he's got sweet waterwet water, seeks
- 4:00male marriage, minded, enjoy karaoke. And then in small letters you really
- 4:06have to squint. It says don't text and drive, which, yeah,
- 4:12don't slide into his DMS instantly. Isn't the sort of irony not have to
- 4:16go out on a tangentier of all the billboards you see about like not or
- 4:19driving, say, or buckling up or not texting and driving. It's like
- 4:24sometimes there's distracted how many people are getting accidents trying to read the don't Text
- 4:29and drive billboard. So is there an age range? You're just marriage minded.
- 4:33He's looking anybody eighteen and up. No, he doesn't. He didn't
- 4:36put the age range. But you know he has three non negotiables, apparently,
- 4:41this AL guy says loyalty, honesty, and sincerity. Those are his
- 4:45big three. Oh nice. He does have the calls being redirected to a
- 4:48friend's phone, sort of a secretary situation. I suppose why I want to
- 4:55talk? If I want am I interested in Al? I want to talk
- 4:58to Al. He's been single since twenty fifteen. He said a lot of
- 5:02seniors are closed minded, but he is not refreshing. I wonder why he's
- 5:08single. Uh, you know, he said he just hasn't found the right
- 5:11person. Nobody has checked all the boxes fair the big three. You know,
- 5:15maybe they don't like karaoke enough. Who knows. He says he has
- 5:18a retirement income. I'm not sure that means it'd been very little. Does
- 5:24that mean AKA sugar Daddy? I think it might mean AKA social security taken
- 5:30Amanda in the Morning, sage ninety seven. It's big ninety a point seven
- 5:34Pike and Amanda in the Morning in the middle of the judgment zone got a
- 5:39hot one. Today. A woman named Brandy reached out to us and said
- 5:42that she found out through the grapevine that her sister's boyfriend is planning to propose.
- 5:47How excited. Yeah, so awesome. But the way that he plans
- 5:51to, she realized, is not what she knows her sister to prefer.
- 5:57She knows it's going to be bad. The sister's gonna be disappointed. He
- 6:00wants to know, though, should she intervene tell this guy, hey,
- 6:01dude, don't do it that way. She's not gonna like it. Yeah.
- 6:04She also brought up and I think we squashed this real quick talking to
- 6:08her sister about it. That's just like a hard no, we all all
- 6:11in favor, like I you like, no, well, don't spoil it?
- 6:14Yeah, yeah no, do not do that. But should she offer
- 6:15maybe a helping hand seven one one two eight one ninety eight seven What do
- 6:19you think she needs to stay out of it or anything? Okay, but
- 6:24if she heard from the greenvind maybe he's lying because maybe he doesn't want the
- 6:30sister to find out, so a big thing. You think he's throwing up
- 6:32a little smoke screen. You never know. I think you might be given
- 6:36him, guys too much bread up Personally, this has nothing to do with
- 6:42her. I get it for her sister, but I would stay out of
- 6:44it. Well, thank you for the call, appreciate it. Yeah,
- 6:46fight ninety eight point seven. So I agree with Mandy, like, just
- 6:49don't say anything, Pretend like you had no prior knowledge, because she has
- 6:54probably put a lot of time and energy into this idea whatever whatever it is,
- 7:00and she could just you know, pretend like she doesn't know that she
- 7:01didn't hear through the grapevine and let it happen. She could, you know,
- 7:06tell him like in text heate wondering if you had a couple of minutes
- 7:09to talk and tell him, you know that she'd heard about the engagement,
- 7:14just that they were going to get engaged, to say, hey, what's
- 7:15your plan? Oh, such an exciting day, you know, such an
- 7:19exciting day, and you know what's your plan? And then she could kind
- 7:23of give a little bit of feedback through that and just say, oh,
- 7:26okay, well do you think that so and so her sister was like that,
- 7:30or do you think she might like X, Y and Z instead.
- 7:33I get that because you know, sisters are gonna be nosy anyway. It's
- 7:35perfectly typical for them to be like, Oh, what are you gonna poup
- 7:38the question? What are you gonna about the question? Yeah? Him,
- 7:41tell her and then give the feedback. Don't just come out with it.
- 7:44Got it big ninety eight point seven. Hello. I never called a radio
- 7:46station, but I jumped out of my chair. My daughter, my daughter,
- 7:53her now husband had a whole engagement thing planned, and I was like,
- 7:56this is stolen. At what she's gonna love exactly like this girl is
- 7:59saying. And I was like, and he changed the plan and we did
- 8:03a great you know, had a big family thing after they got engaged,
- 8:05so she could see all her family. And when she found out later when
- 8:07he had planned, she's like, oh, I would have loved that.
- 8:11No, he knows her, I thought, as her mother, I knew
- 8:15her. I knew this. No, this is the man she would wanted
- 8:18to marry, you know, and ended up marrying. Oh, oh god,
- 8:22what's him? This was his idea, This was the man she's choosing.
- 8:24It was his idea. It was the right idea that really happened,
- 8:28that really happened. Oh my god, see that I had that thought like
- 8:31what if it turns out like the opposite, like the sister's wrong and it
- 8:35doesn't go that well, and you tell her what, here's what I was
- 8:37thinking, and she loves it, like what how can you live with yourself?
- 8:41And I think either way, he's she knows who this man is.
- 8:45If he proposes her, that's probably is kind of proposal she's expecting. It's
- 8:48funny you say that. Samantha on our Facebook page says possible unpopular opinion.
- 8:52But if she gets upset with the proposal he chooses, then maybe they shouldn't
- 8:54get married, which I actually really agree on that. Yeah, he's the
- 8:58one. It should be a plan. Yeah, it could be the way
- 9:01he wants. He thinks that it's his proposal too, By the way,
- 9:03it is right, it's his proposal to mess up. If he chooses it's
- 9:07you're right, I wonder. Oh hey, we feel free to call a
- 9:11second time if you ever feel like it. You're gonna jump out of your
- 9:13chair again. Okay, goodbye? Well what do we think? I mean?
- 9:18Seems like a cutting drop. He's like a pretty unanimous just don't say
- 9:22anything, mind your business, sit back and just enjoy for your sister.
- 9:26If it's a bad one, then it's a fun story from you know,
- 9:28sometimes that's the best story. Oh gosh, look what he did. Or
- 9:33they're always so awkward anyway, I just just let him do it. She
- 9:35probably already picked out her ring anyway, and she's just like tick tick,
- 9:37tick, doesn't matter. Just yes, okay. And by the way,
- 9:41my wedding's already planned. Amanda in the morning and now Amanda stills the sea
- 9:46looks see. Well, it was a big, big day for the Kelsey
- 9:50brothers. Travis Kelsey just signed on for another two year deal thirty four point
- 9:54twenty five million dollars with the Chiefs. That does include a seventeen million fully
- 9:58guaranteed hayout. His brother Jason signed on with ESPN to pr part of Monday
- 10:03Night Football. And he can't forget about Mama Donna. She was on the
- 10:07Today Show given her her mom picks for Mother's Day. Just she is so
- 10:13likable. I'm surprised she's got like a standing invite on the Today Show.
- 10:16Remember last time she was on there, Savannah Guthrie was like hounding or with
- 10:20Taylor Swift questions because it was early yes in the relationship, and that's all
- 10:22they wanted to know about and she was being very combative, so I thought
- 10:28they kind of rubbed her the wrong way. But I guess not. No,
- 10:30they know that people are loving some Mama Donna. By the way,
- 10:33there was a lot of people on social media yesterday. You probably missed it
- 10:37because everybody was talking about morehead freeze, but there was in the world.
- 10:41There was a couple of mom groups that were disappointed in the Kelsey brothers because
- 10:45they don't spend Mother's Day with their mom. Very interesting. So she just
- 10:50said, hey, there's rare that we're all in the same place. And
- 10:52to be honest, they're in their off season, so I don't expect them
- 10:56to I see them year round. It's not a big deal that we're not
- 10:58always to go they're on Mother's Day. People were just so mad about it.
- 11:03They're how old they're thirty five thirty five years old? I mean,
- 11:05who else would like a phone call is usually plenty. I mean, I'm
- 11:11definitely a I love just bend Mother's you know what I mean. Mother's Day
- 11:13was always with my mom. Yeah, but even when I was older.
- 11:16But I try to man if Okay, if you're living in the same town
- 11:20maybe pop over, but I'm saying, if you're living across the country,
- 11:24we don't need to be flying all over. I guess you know what,
- 11:26I know, I hear you. And Justin Bieber he got everybody talking.
- 11:33So he posted a bunch of pictures over the weekend, and within the carousela
- 11:37photos there was a couple where he was just crying, which totally fine.
- 11:41I'm all about man tears. If you're upset, Okay, you photographed him
- 11:46and then you put them on there with no explanation. That to me is
- 11:48a little bizarre. Not vegue booking, vague gramming. I call it.
- 11:54Give us an explanation at least. Yeah, there's been a lot of inside
- 11:56sources saying that they've had difficulties lazy lately. Don't really know what that is.
- 12:03Remember, Alec Baldwin, not Alec Stephen Baldwin had shared probably two and
- 12:07a half months ago, something like hey pray for these two, Yeah,
- 12:11talking about Haley and Justin, and we were all like, okay, what's
- 12:13going on? And Haley apparently got really mad about the situation. Haley did
- 12:18slide onto the comment section of these photos and said, a pretty crier,
- 12:24So she's supportive of him, But what do you think. I don't know
- 12:28that it's sad. I mean, I want the guy to be okay,
- 12:31I know, and I feel like if you're posting it like that, you're
- 12:33probably like, semi okay. I hate to assume. I don't know.
- 12:37He could be going through after hell right now. It's hard to say.
- 12:39And I love that he's been open about mental health issues. I think that
- 12:43is so important. But then to not really address it either, do you're
- 12:46not using the plot? I don't know. It's just very odd. Remember
- 12:48that time he came to town, I do, and he like spent a
- 12:52whole day around it. And then you remember where he stopped was the dairy
- 12:54Queen? You think he tipped? Did he really? I don't remember him
- 13:00stopping at the d stopped at the High Dollar. I think I got kicked
- 13:03out of Mills in Dilworth. Remember that, No, yeah, out why
- 13:09because he tried to bring a dairy He tried to bring his dairy queen into
- 13:13the bar. I mean, and I know the guy, Dave Lamb,
- 13:16God rest his soul. The bartender there said, no, I don't care
- 13:18who you are yet it's a bar. You can't bring dairy. I do
- 13:24not remember. Do you think if you would have brought in a freeze it
- 13:28would have been fine? I love it. I want to be caught dead
- 13:31with a freeze in my hand. We're just messing around. It's just so
- 13:35funny, no matter what we've talked about today, somehow we're talking about ice
- 13:39cream and I just just just fits. It does if the shoe fits all
- 13:43right. Taylor Swift claimed not one, not two, not five, not
- 13:48ten, fourteen of the top spots on the Hot one hundred. This is
- 13:50amazing to me, safe to say that's never been done. I don't think
- 13:56so. Yeah. I mean, when you have thirty one songs, not
- 13:58even half of them got in though? What'd I say about the other songs
- 14:01out there right now? Yeah? Beautiful Things was number fifteen. Oh I
- 14:05like that song. I don't know. And other Taylor Swift news that there's
- 14:07been a lot of rumors that Taylor and trave are gonna make their red carpet
- 14:11debut at the Met Gala on Monday, and war being told Taylor is supposed
- 14:15to be there, she's not going up back out on her Era's tour until
- 14:16like next Wednesday or Thursday, and this is on Monday. I would love
- 14:20to see these two and their outfits. This is that weird event that you
- 14:24do follow along with because the outfits are incredible. Yeah, obnoxious. I
- 14:28don't strike. I don't take her as somebody who's gonna wear something crazy him
- 14:31though he might maybe yeah, baby Hills, just wear his uniform helmet.
- 14:37What if she showed up as just a cheerleader and he was or she wore
- 14:41his uniform and he dressed up as a cheerleader. Now we're talking wacky,
- 14:46yeah, trending. Now here's what you need to know. Well, the
- 14:50drama continues with the morehead Freeze And yesterday about this time, we were telling
- 14:54you guys about the nineteen year old girl named Emily who lost her job for
- 14:56accepting a one hundred dollars tip. It went and I think all day yesterday
- 15:01people were just waiting to hear what more head Freeze was gonna say. And
- 15:03about midday we got a statement on Facebook. More head Freeze responded by saying,
- 15:09ice cream makes people happy, social media bullying not so much. We
- 15:13did not terminate the adult at will employee of five years for accepting a tip.
- 15:18There's more to the story. We won't go into details. It's a
- 15:20personal matter. However, we believe that if the parents are posting for an
- 15:24adult child, they haven't asked the right questions of their adult daughter. We're
- 15:28a small business built on strong work ethic and more head values or values and
- 15:33exceptions reflect those of community and other customers. Hang on, I'm not done,
- 15:39Pike. We got one more ice cream makes people happy. Social media
- 15:43bullying not so much. Really brought her home again with that pathetically horrible.
- 15:50There's a million things you could have said, but that word salad was not
- 15:52it. Yeah, I'm not here for the pilon on social media and people
- 15:58calling for the business to get shut down. What I would be calling for
- 16:02is a better statement and the acknowledgment of why you decided to send a written
- 16:07warning talking about your customers being elderly and they could have dementia, and also
- 16:11continuing on with a statement in there like that that's factual information. You said,
- 16:17that is a factual statement. You want to know that. I mean,
- 16:19that's a big thing. Is like diagnosing people, which is a strong
- 16:23way of phrasing, and people saying, oh, she's diagnosing old people at
- 16:26dementia. It's like well, I mean, no, she's not sitting there
- 16:29going that person had dementia. She said they could have, which but just
- 16:33isn't fair and it's not a very professional thing to say the whole thing.
- 16:37I guess that's probably the best way to put all of this, From that
- 16:40statement to the written warning to everything we know, none of it is professional
- 16:45and it just feels really itchy and you could tell the feeling I get from
- 16:48her thing there. The little diet tribe was that she's blaming the parents or
- 16:53like calling them out for defending their adult daughter, basically saying like you is
- 16:57not a kid out of it, you know. But I think we can
- 17:02all agree there's probably details we don't know, but the details that we do
- 17:04know I don't feel good about. No, I'm hearing go now. It's
- 17:08kind of everybody's choice to decide what you're gonna do. On a personal level,
- 17:12I think we can probably stop with the social media stuff though, like
- 17:15I'd want to get back to cute puppies and babies on my phone. People
- 17:18are going to move on probably today, right unless there's more information like it
- 17:22was a wind, I mean it was crazy for a day there, Yeah,
- 17:26comments everywhere he was around the world. People were talking then. I
- 17:30don't know if it's photoshopp or off to dairy Queen that was photoshop was okay,
- 17:33Derey Queen didn't put a billboard up that said we'll take any tips.
- 17:36No, I was just saying that we don't need an ice cream war on
- 17:38the avenue in Morehead. I'll love a lot of businesses and stuff like that,
- 17:42you know, being like, hey, we'll take any tips, come
- 17:45on over. But if I had money, I would go over there and
- 17:48give them a hundred dollars and see what happens. But you know you don't
- 17:52have it. I don't have a hundredspair spare. They're all designated. Okay,
- 17:57what I wanted to do. I just had this thought. I'm like,
- 17:59give me if we wanted to be wacky, like get like all those
- 18:02money guns you see with a bunch of fake hundred dollars bills and go disambly.
- 18:07Here it just starting unloading through the front window. All right. You
- 18:11might have missed this. Yesterday. The NFL Commissioner Roja Goodel is listening to
- 18:15fans, or at least trying to see if the UH Players Association and the
- 18:21owners would get on board with moving the Super Bowl to President's Day weekend,
- 18:25but what that would entail It wouldn't be starting this season later, which I
- 18:29think would make the most sense. They would just add another game, which
- 18:32probably pretty unlike the owners would love it. You know, it's more money
- 18:33for the league for the owners, but it's the players. They're like,
- 18:37hey, oh, the same pay for even yet another game when we just
- 18:40approved a seventeenth game, No, no way. And I will say seventeen,
- 18:45you know, I think that's long enough. Yeah, it's a long
- 18:47season already. I mean, obviously we all love football, but but I
- 18:49guess maybe it's just because of where we live. I would love for it
- 18:52to start in mid September and go through March even, you know what I
- 18:57mean, Like, let's lengthen it that way, because the winters get to
- 19:00be a little long. I mean that last end of February sometimes in the
- 19:03dead of winter. Bring bring on some football, baby, right. And
- 19:07Peacock, speaking of football, signed up for that with one of the playoff
- 19:11games last January. Oh he never signed off of it because they have really
- 19:15good shows on it. So it's five ninety nine right now. But a
- 19:18warning with the Olympics coming up, because that's also going to be on NBC
- 19:22Peacock. They're gonna jump it up two more dollars, so it'll be seven
- 19:26ninety nine just for the basic plan. If you're a new user in July,
- 19:30you'll have to pay that. If you're like me and you're still just
- 19:33sticking around, that'll bump up in August. There's nothing on there that I
- 19:37would need to have the Peacock for. They don't even have like like Friends
- 19:41is on Max, you know, even though it's an NBC show, So
- 19:45that would be the one thing I'd be like, Yeah, if they have
- 19:45a lot of really good they had trolls on their migration, a lot of
- 19:48really good kid movies and that was just in both of them were just in
- 19:52theaters and they're already on Peacock. Wow, so that's that's pretty awesome.
- 19:56We'll get the cock go, I know, sunshine of eventually today that we
- 20:00are supposed to get some evening rain through the overnight. Again, I have
- 20:03about fifty eight like get a Manda in the morning, come on, get
- 20:07up on Big seven. So yesterday we finally got a response from the Morehead
- 20:12Freeze in Morehead in regards to the big drama if you've missed it, it's
- 20:18all about this nineteen year old girl named Emily who was fired after they'd received
- 20:21a one hundred dollars tip. Business seemed to think that it was not okay
- 20:26for her to take that money because well, the person who gave it might
- 20:29have been elderly, might have even had dementia, and it said as much
- 20:32in the actual warnings. She received a written warning, so that's not hearsay,
- 20:36that's what they said. So yesterday, mord Freeze after, I mean,
- 20:40they had to respond. There was thousands of reactions had gone viral,
- 20:42people in states all over the country, across the world. Yeah, the
- 20:45bartender shared it, and that's when you're like, oh, boy, ain't
- 20:48nobody want to be on that? What is that viral page? It's just
- 20:52it's one of those it'd be like a barstool sports, but for people in
- 20:56the food industry, it's like, you just don't want to be on that
- 21:00exactly. So finally more ed Freeze comes out on their Facebook page because that
- 21:03had been getting bombarded, you know, every post from the last two years.
- 21:07People are to one hundreds to be more commenting, you know, justice
- 21:10family, and I'm just I'm not here for the pileon on it like that.
- 21:14That is annoying to me. It feels like the people sharing to it,
- 21:17like I get it, what is wrong here? It's wrong. I
- 21:22just don't feel like adding more fuel to the fire doing all this stuff is
- 21:26just like that's not going to solve the problem. I mean, I mean
- 21:29when will the people rest, Like do we want this business burn to the
- 21:32ground? I mean absolutely. It also gets down to a point where people
- 21:34are just sort of like, you know, people love to jump on these
- 21:37things because I don't know, it makes them feel better about themselves. Somebody
- 21:41else screwed up. Nice, I'm gonna really just get in on this,
- 21:44and I think that's what everybody was waiting for yesterday. I know I will
- 21:47be the first to admit I was hitting refreshed, just kind of waiting to
- 21:49see what more head Freeze was gonna say. Because again, we're not idiots.
- 21:52There's two sides to absolutely every single story. And midday they jumped on
- 21:57and they decided to release this sting. Yeah, I said yesterday, ice
- 22:03cream makes people happy. Interesting way to start this social media bullying not so
- 22:07much. We did not terminate the adult at will employee of five years for
- 22:14accepting a tip. There's more to the story. We won't go into details.
- 22:18It's a personal matter. However, we believe that if parents are posting
- 22:22for an adult child, they haven't asked the right questions of their adult daughter.
- 22:26We're a small business built on strong wortheck and YadA, YadA, YadA
- 22:30is something that has nothing to do with what's happening Morehead values yes and wrapped
- 22:34it up by really bringing it back around. Ice cream makes people happy.
- 22:37Social media bullying not so much so, of course, throwing the word bullying
- 22:41out there, you know, very defensive victim blaming people are yes, like
- 22:48criticizing you, but for good reason, based on just the information we had,
- 22:52which was what you had written on that warning about people having dementia.
- 22:56I think that that is the one thing at the end of the warning that
- 22:59was received. The Freeze will not be looked down on as a place that
- 23:03takes advantage of elderly looking up for our customers should take priority over the opportunity
- 23:07to get a tip. Talking about how they want to protect their reputation,
- 23:11and you're reading all of that going that's the response you're giving. That's such
- 23:18an insane thing to type in a formal warning. It's all speculation, right,
- 23:23I mean, and we're I know, we're not talking about like Microsoft
- 23:26here, We're talking about the Moorhead freeze. So it's not like a corporation
- 23:30that maybe has all these procedures down, but still like wildly unprofessional. And
- 23:33I mean, you know, to be fair, it's a new owner and
- 23:36we don't even know if the owner wrote this or if there's a manager.
- 23:40Nobody knows the details. I'm not familiar with the ins and outs of what's
- 23:42going on over there. All I know is that the whole response, everything,
- 23:47the reaction is it maybe blown out of proportion. The fact that there's
- 23:51this many people talking about it and doing it one thousand percent, we're talking
- 23:55about it right now in the radio. That's crazy safe. I mean,
- 23:56the stuff that we just kind of like gloss over and beside that, oh,
- 24:00that's not important enough for us to all get behind. But the ice
- 24:03hot topic, yes, but it's hilarious because Emily, that's one in question
- 24:07who in their response they made very clear is an adult, which was a
- 24:11weird angle to take, like kind of blaming the parents for being like too
- 24:15involved. You know, it was an odd thing. Well, and okay,
- 24:18so let's just say this was a simple situation of hey, your dot
- 24:22or got fired, she took a tip, whatever, whatever the situation may
- 24:26be, Okay, you can you you can share, you can do whatever
- 24:30you want. I don't think Morehead Freeze understands. The real problem is that
- 24:34people are upset about the actual warning in the verbiage used in it. Yeah,
- 24:38about elderly dementia. Like you did not even address that. That's what
- 24:44we're mad about, not the fact that a girl lost her job. There's
- 24:45a million jobs in Fargo. Morehead, Yeah, right, she'll be fine.
- 24:48In fact, she might have even been okay with that, you know
- 24:52what I mean, we've all worked those jobs. Were like, honestly,
- 24:55if I got fired, I just don't care, you know. And I
- 24:56think it's also to something to be said. It's her fifth season working this
- 25:00place, so she has a decent track record. It's not like this.
- 25:03Yeah, she wasn't new, Yes, I know. So again there's a
- 25:07lot of information. Maybe we don't know about it, but uh yeah,
- 25:10like I said, it's still the dementia thing, and like whether you know
- 25:14because the reason they gave was that she they're not allowed to take one hundred
- 25:17dollars denominations, So it's like, okay, well you could have given her
- 25:19five twenties in is that okay? But then again, it's not like I
- 25:23understand from the till perspective, like you can't take one hundred dollars because you
- 25:27might take all the cash to break that bill up, But it was a
- 25:30tip. You're not breaking it up. What I really want to know is
- 25:33where is that one hundred dollars? Where did that go? Well? I
- 25:37know, and that's I mean, do the owner grab it? I don't
- 25:38know. I hate just well, respeculating. I hate to do that.
- 25:41Well, and I think that that's the whole thing. There's a lot of
- 25:44speculation. Ain't nobody want anybody's business to go under? I think that's what
- 25:51they want. But you don't need to be piling on. I can't imagine
- 25:53how this person is feeling right now? Is this the right response? I
- 25:56don't agree with it. No, it's not making me feel good about the
- 26:00situation. But yeah, now it's in our own now everybody can see,
- 26:03use your own discretion whether you want to support or not. Well, that's
- 26:07the thing. I would love I would love to but I still don't know.
- 26:10If they say there's another side to it, well let's have it and
- 26:12then we can decide if we should ruin this business that's been there forever.
- 26:17I mean, it's a fun little spot, right, I've gone there a
- 26:18million times. It's right by Msum. You feel like I kind of feel
- 26:21like you're going back in time. You know, it's like a little ice
- 26:22cream place. But now I don't know, and I'm sure they might be
- 26:27fine. I'm not saying it's a thriving business either way. It's been sold
- 26:30how many times now, But a good chunk of people probably just are oblivious
- 26:36to this and they're going there anyway. So I don't know. I haven't
- 26:38driven by lately. Yeah, they'll swing. I hope. There's probably a
- 26:41protest all the way over in more Head. Yeah, I know, once
- 26:45you make the trek to wes Fargo, once you move out there at time,
- 26:48where's this Morehead? You speak up like a minute in the morning,
- 26:52big nutty eight point seven. If you're still saying these things, it might
- 26:56be time to reconsider it. Is that is, of course, if you're
- 26:59trying to sound cool. Oh gosh, you might want to switch some of
- 27:02your phrases, because I already can tell you I fail it all of this.
- 27:06I just can feel it's I've never heard he say something, and I
- 27:08thought, gosh, she's slick, the coolest chick in this place. She
- 27:12obviously has kids, because how hip is she? No, they say that
- 27:15now it's official to the point where like gen Z slang is taking over the
- 27:21mainstream of what the was left over of the millennial slang. Phrase is like
- 27:26yolo, you only live once, which is I never heard anything like it,
- 27:32and it really it's a really good phrase. I kinder stood the test
- 27:34of time. I mean typically if I ever used it, it's jokingly kind
- 27:38of like you know, yolo, ye, like if you're going for an
- 27:41extra cookie. Yeah, yeah, that's fun. But now they say that
- 27:47is being swapped out with the gen z phrase that Drake apparently created, called
- 27:52do it for the plot or dift P, which is just not as man
- 28:00is catchy difed b No, see, it doesn't have enough zing into it.
- 28:03I'm sure there's a lot of people cringing right now thinking I cringe might
- 28:07be on the list too, that's so cringe do it for the plot,
- 28:11like your life's plot, so do something to make the plot more inch.
- 28:15I guess that's a little too deep for me. But it's just like it
- 28:18means exactly what it's supposed to mean. It's just not confusing. Uh huh.
- 28:22But then they say l M A oh a fan favorite crim millennials.
- 28:26That's out too, they say some gen Z or even replacing it with I
- 28:30JB O L. I just burst out laughing, terrible. Okay, that
- 28:37sounds funny. I just burst out laughing, But I don't isn't it more?
- 28:41Are we still saying like dead? I usually I usually dead, Like
- 28:47I usually just do the the emoji, the poison emoji with my girlfriends.
- 28:52If they send me a funny real dead. Yeah, is that not cool
- 28:56anymore? I don't know. Wasn't it feels still modern? But I don't
- 28:59know all deceased passed away? I mean, that's to me, it's kind
- 29:03of fun just to come up with different ways of saying you've died, you
- 29:07know. Uh. They say things like that slaps, lit and ick are
- 29:12new gen Z terms that are taking over a millennial slang. Yeah, like
- 29:15litt never got down with that just sounds awkward. Ick though I'm hearing a
- 29:19lot of ick. Yeah, your wife is using ick, and I've started
- 29:23to try to Oh that's ick, that's kind I'm trying that. But he
- 29:27gives you the ick. Now, not just like ick, but like the
- 29:30ick you know, got it. But that slaps. I mean as a
- 29:36recording musician, renowned recording artist. And I know, Amanda, you'd love
- 29:41to hear that, but you know we say that a lot, and that
- 29:44in that industry, that slaps. Yeah, like a good like a good
- 29:48rhythm, good melody slap. That one I don't feel like when it comes
- 29:53out of my mouth, is uh natural? That slaps? No, really,
- 30:00I see I refer to songs. It's like like a slapper. Oh
- 30:03that's a complete slap. Oh. I'd be like, oh my gosh,
- 30:06that's such a good one. And I'm still using like what a jam?
- 30:11You haven't even transitioned to bop. No. Somewhere along the way, bop
- 30:15became a thing. I like, bob you can tell then you can add
- 30:18to. You can call it bippity bop or a little ditty. I'll call
- 30:21it a little no. That's not the same. No, but a slap
- 30:25I mean you call it a slapper. Sometimes I'll throw a fun word before
- 30:27slap, big slapper. Yeah, oh that's a big slapper. Is there
- 30:32a rapper yet? Name that? Because that's a good one. Big slap,
- 30:34big slapper. I like that. It sounds like an old jazz artist.
