- 1:23Speaker 1: Hey everybody, Welcome into another episode of The Tailgate. I'm
- 1:27Speaker 1: your host, Cy Amanson, joined by my co host, the
- 1:31Speaker 1: Great Chad Daniels, and it is Bears Week Chatty. Hello,
- 1:36Speaker 1: We once again find ourselves in need of a rebound,
- 1:42Speaker 1: you know, tough one. We're like we always say we're
- 1:46Speaker 1: a forward looking podcast. But my question for you, you've
- 1:51Speaker 1: known me to be a sports psychopath. I don't handle
- 1:56Speaker 1: the emotions, the ups and downs.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Well, I don't even think we need to an end
- 2:00Speaker 3: to No, I think we can go. It's it's I
- 2:03Speaker 3: know you to be a psychopath. Currently, we don't have
- 2:05Speaker 3: to go past tense.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Here the how, I don't this thing where? And you've
- 2:12Speaker 1: seen it in the text messages. I'm up, I'm down,
- 2:14Speaker 1: I'm up, I'm down.
- 2:16Speaker 2: What is uh?
- 2:17Speaker 1: And I'm not somebody who sports affects every aspect of
- 2:21Speaker 1: my life, right, but I do take joy in it
- 2:24Speaker 1: and so I get way too emotionally tied to those
- 2:28Speaker 1: ups and downs.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Yeah, what are.
- 2:30Speaker 1: You doing in this moment where we were we were
- 2:33Speaker 1: way down after the Chargers, we were way up after
- 2:37Speaker 1: the Lions. Suck at Zach Martine and now I just
- 2:41Speaker 1: feel I feel so down again. How are you riding
- 2:46Speaker 1: the roller coaster?
- 2:47Speaker 3: Well, listen, it might seem to fans that we've got
- 2:52Speaker 3: Sybil under center, but I'm going to tell you something.
- 2:55Speaker 3: It's easy young quarterback, and that has to come with grace. Right,
- 3:00Speaker 3: You get a lot of young quarterbacks. They get a
- 3:04Speaker 3: full season, in a full season of starting to make
- 3:09Speaker 3: these mistakes and get the hang of the game. And
- 3:11Speaker 3: that's okay. I mean, he's this guy has shown signs
- 3:15Speaker 3: of brilliance and then other times you're sitting there going like,
- 3:19Speaker 3: how about seven yards lower on that one?
- 3:22Speaker 2: And so.
- 3:22Speaker 3: But but there has to be grace involved, and there
- 3:25Speaker 3: has to you have to remember, like this kid has
- 3:28Speaker 3: the talent. It's just it is gonna there's growing pains
- 3:31Speaker 3: with that stuff. And we're also it's like, hey, we're healthy,
- 3:35Speaker 3: just kidding, We're not healthy. I will say this, Maybe
- 3:40Speaker 3: we just go on one eight fall starts bro Hot
- 3:46Speaker 3: hot Weight for Hot. It was so wild, I am
- 3:51Speaker 3: gonna put Visio you check the stock if this game
- 3:55Speaker 3: doesn't go how I wanted to go, because I'm breaking
- 3:58Speaker 3: every TV in my house. It's getting crazy over here.
- 4:01Speaker 3: I think I'm gonna have to go to the game
- 4:02Speaker 3: live and watch.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Well, you will be at the game, and so here's
- 4:05Speaker 1: my thing. I think I'd be doing a lot better
- 4:10Speaker 1: with it were it not. Everybody dislikes the Green Bay Packers,
- 4:14Speaker 1: of course, right, that's everybody. That's the whole Minnesota thing
- 4:18Speaker 1: for me, even though there hasn't been as competitive of
- 4:22Speaker 1: a rivalry. I love the city of Chicago. I like
- 4:25Speaker 1: performing in Chicago. I don't love the people of Chicago,
- 4:29Speaker 1: and I gotta be honest, I don't think they love me.
- 4:33Speaker 1: And I'm happy to describe them as a bunch of
- 4:37Speaker 1: men with mustaches and or beards that look like they
- 4:41Speaker 1: may be played minor league baseball.
- 4:43Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying, still jacked.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Upper arms, but the rest of it hasn't kept going.
- 4:48Speaker 1: It looks like there's a bunch of semi pro softball
- 4:51Speaker 1: players who There is no city, and I'm not talking
- 4:54Speaker 1: about on a comedy club stage. I'm talking walk in
- 4:57Speaker 1: the street. There is no city that I've been and
- 5:00Speaker 1: heckled in my life like I am heckled in Chicago,
- 5:03Speaker 1: and I so desperately want to watch them lose. Sure,
- 5:07Speaker 1: that's what I need. I don't love the mind frame
- 5:12Speaker 1: I am in going into this game.
- 5:14Speaker 3: They're a little bit shy of Philly when it comes
- 5:19Speaker 3: just a smidge just when it comes to the sports, right.
- 5:24Speaker 3: I mean, you can go to a Cubs game and
- 5:27Speaker 3: you can be fine. It is in Wrigleyville. I mean,
- 5:31Speaker 3: there's nobody's throwing beers at you. But I went to
- 5:34Speaker 3: a Bears game once and full beers were coming at us.
- 5:38Speaker 3: And then the Bears destroyed us, And so then I'm
- 5:42Speaker 3: walking through the same parking lot and now they're handing
- 5:45Speaker 3: me beers as if to say, hey, looks like you
- 5:48Speaker 3: need this. We murdered you today. And so it is
- 5:51Speaker 3: a little different because Philly, even if they beat you,
- 5:54Speaker 3: they'll throw beer cans at you after the game. So
- 5:57Speaker 3: it's a little different. I love it's it's interesting because
- 6:02Speaker 3: they can turn sports in Chicago's They're so huge that
- 6:07Speaker 3: you could have a great show on Sunday or excuse me,
- 6:10Speaker 3: on Saturday, two shows sold out. Everybody's there for you.
- 6:14Speaker 3: Come through the merch line, give.
- 6:16Speaker 2: You a hug, hey man, love you, dude.
- 6:19Speaker 3: And then they could see you and recognize you at
- 6:22Speaker 3: the game and want to fistfight you. It is it
- 6:24Speaker 3: is wild there.
- 6:25Speaker 1: When I first started working for the Vikings, I did
- 6:28Speaker 1: this thing. I can't even remember what it was called,
- 6:30Speaker 1: but it was like the Keys to the Game, right,
- 6:33Speaker 1: and it was the really fast paced it was meant for,
- 6:36Speaker 1: like Instagram and TikTok and stuff. Sure it was a
- 6:40Speaker 1: rapid key, but it was a lot of humor in it.
- 6:42Speaker 2: So it's basically, here's what we should do, here's what
- 6:46Speaker 2: we should do in the game.
- 6:49Speaker 1: And I only came up with those so I could
- 6:51Speaker 1: make these jokes and without fail, every week those they
- 6:55Speaker 1: would be flooded with fans from the other fan base
- 6:59Speaker 1: just up. So given the way social media works now,
- 7:04Speaker 1: you know, that would have been a real successful venture.
- 7:08Speaker 1: But I was at two times ago. When I'm at
- 7:12Speaker 1: Zanies by the way, it's the summer, it's the beginning
- 7:15Speaker 1: of June. There's no football going on, and I get
- 7:18Speaker 1: up on stage and I'm about four minutes into my
- 7:21Speaker 1: show and so Zany's for the audience is a tiny
- 7:26Speaker 1: hallway of a club, one hundred and forty seats and
- 7:28Speaker 1: they go straight back and I'm a few minutes in
- 7:33Speaker 1: and this guy just goes the Viking suck and I
- 7:38Speaker 1: was like, and I was like, I was like, oh
- 7:39Speaker 1: my god, did I wear Viking stuff on stage? And
- 7:42Speaker 1: then I kind of I was like, I didn't I
- 7:43Speaker 1: go thank you. I'm thinking they must have said that
- 7:47Speaker 1: I'm from Minnesota when they introduced me. And then I
- 7:50Speaker 1: did another joke, the Minnesota Vikings suck. And now I'm
- 7:57Speaker 1: as mad at the life of originality in the second
- 8:01Speaker 1: attempt as I am at being heckled.
- 8:04Speaker 3: Yeah, but just in case you thought it maybe was
- 8:07Speaker 3: a high school team he was referencing called the Vikings.
- 8:10Speaker 3: He did want to make sure you knew he was
- 8:11Speaker 3: speaking of the Minnesota Vikings.
- 8:13Speaker 1: The next one is the Minnesota Vikings, who play in
- 8:16Speaker 1: US Bank Stadium suck. So this guy in an hour
- 8:23Speaker 1: set probably layers eight to ten. Your team sucks in
- 8:30Speaker 1: some variation in and nobody likes it. And I'm not
- 8:35Speaker 1: acknowledging it because I think if I engage in it,
- 8:38Speaker 1: it's going to become a really unenjoyable experience for everyone. Right,
- 8:43Speaker 1: And so I finish the show, and when you meet
- 8:47Speaker 1: the fans in the crowd after the show, you're like
- 8:50Speaker 1: standing by a doorway as the whole crowd. It's very
- 8:53Speaker 1: tight and everybody's filing out, and then I see about
- 8:57Speaker 1: twelve people back. I see this short, musty mustache. I go, well,
- 9:02Speaker 1: that's the Viking suck guy, guarantee it. Why is he
- 9:06Speaker 1: in line? He comes down the line and he tells me.
- 9:11Speaker 1: He goes, I'm the guy who was saying the Viking suck.
- 9:14Speaker 1: And I go, I know, is did you? Did you
- 9:20Speaker 1: need to tell it to me again?
- 9:22Speaker 2: What's up? Man?
- 9:23Speaker 1: And he goes you and then he goes you five
- 9:27Speaker 1: years ago. So he starts telling me about a joke
- 9:30Speaker 1: I made in the three Keys segment years ago.
- 9:36Speaker 3: Wow, followed me.
- 9:38Speaker 2: On social media, sat in waiting until years that I
- 9:43Speaker 2: did that segment. I think in twenty nineteen or twenty
- 9:46Speaker 2: oh wow.
- 9:47Speaker 3: And let's not forget with his accent. He must have
- 9:49Speaker 3: taken a flight from New York to Chicago.
- 9:53Speaker 1: I'm doing the best I can. Okay, Okay, he waited
- 9:58Speaker 1: like half a decade.
- 10:00Speaker 3: That's pretty good to come.
- 10:02Speaker 1: He paid for the ticket. There were no compsole out.
- 10:05Speaker 1: It was a one night event. He bought a ticket
- 10:08Speaker 1: and he wasn't even mean about it. He like and
- 10:11Speaker 1: on the way out, after we talked about he just
- 10:13Speaker 1: goes your team sucks, and he just kept going. It
- 10:16Speaker 1: was one of the weirdest. He wasn't there with a
- 10:19Speaker 1: partner or a friend.
- 10:21Speaker 2: It was bonkers.
- 10:23Speaker 3: Yeah, that is wild to go. That's when I remind
- 10:25Speaker 3: people I go, you know what, I got eighty percent
- 10:28Speaker 3: of your ticket. Oh, never mind, it was sold out.
- 10:30Speaker 3: I got eighty five percent of your ticket cost. Thank
- 10:34Speaker 3: you for coming.
- 10:35Speaker 2: It's a It is a weirdly Heckley city. I'd been.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Last time I was there, I tried to have dinner
- 10:41Speaker 1: at Michael Jordan's steakhouse and the waiter was doing the Hey,
- 10:44Speaker 1: where are you guys from? And I said Minnesota, And
- 10:46Speaker 1: then it was like every course it was like him
- 10:49Speaker 1: telling me why my team sucked. Hey, a lot of
- 10:52Speaker 1: your team suck. They have sucked.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Yeah, for a significant amount of only teams.
- 10:57Speaker 3: Your city is zero to one. Again to cow and
- 11:00Speaker 3: a lantern.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Shut up.
- 11:02Speaker 1: It just it just put me in this place, like
- 11:05Speaker 1: as I've been reflecting on where we are so far
- 11:08Speaker 1: this year and where we're going and the fact that
- 11:11Speaker 1: we have to I told you in the opening week
- 11:14Speaker 1: Bears on the road Week one, you know that's a
- 11:18Speaker 1: tough start, and I mentioned it's tough for my dad,
- 11:21Speaker 1: who just doesn't watch that game, this one, with the
- 11:23Speaker 1: way everything is gone, It's just drummed up all my
- 11:27Speaker 1: Chicago feelings. And even though I like the city, just
- 11:29Speaker 1: the amount of disdain I have for all things Chicago
- 11:35Speaker 1: or Bear related right now it's not healthy. I don't
- 11:38Speaker 1: I don't think I'm doing a good job. I don't
- 11:41Speaker 1: think I'm gonna be like awesome this weekend. I just
- 11:46Speaker 1: I think I'm in lunatic mode. I think I'm in
- 11:48Speaker 1: full blown lunatic mode.
- 11:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, there's no question that has nothing to
- 11:53Speaker 3: do with this game. That's where you live.
- 11:55Speaker 2: It's amped up. It's where you live, amped up because
- 11:57Speaker 2: of the game.
- 11:58Speaker 3: I'm excited because I have watch the Bears win their
- 12:01Speaker 3: last two games in dramatic fashion. And that throw to
- 12:07Speaker 3: win the Cincinnati game wasn't good. I'm saying like he
- 12:11Speaker 3: threw it behind the receiver. It was an amazing catch.
- 12:14Speaker 3: Then it was the Keystone Cops. The Bengals all hit
- 12:17Speaker 3: each other and fell backwards like bowling pins. It was crazy.
- 12:21Speaker 3: And then this last one. So, so here's what's gonna happen.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Are you pitching their riding high and we're gonna come
- 12:26Speaker 1: in underneath it and flip the table over.
- 12:28Speaker 3: I'm pitching they're riding high on fake I'm saying fake
- 12:32Speaker 3: stuff because they think, like, oh man, we did this,
- 12:35Speaker 3: they weren't good plays.
- 12:36Speaker 1: I can get all on board with a We're gonna
- 12:38Speaker 1: come underneath their false confidence and really take this game
- 12:43Speaker 1: from them. And I think if you get if you
- 12:46Speaker 1: get the game tilted that direction early at home, that's
- 12:50Speaker 1: a good thing.
- 12:51Speaker 3: That'll be a very And I think we can. I mean,
- 12:53Speaker 3: he is, he is gettable. And so we get back
- 12:57Speaker 3: there and Forrest starts like throwing stunts, and we get
- 13:02Speaker 3: healthy people that are hitting the holes and confusing him.
- 13:06Speaker 3: I'm telling you, man, it's gonna it's gonna be fun
- 13:08Speaker 3: to watch. It's gonna here's here's I'm doing my prediction early.
- 13:11Speaker 3: You're doing your prediction in the first This is just
- 13:13Speaker 3: one of them. This is just one of them.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Early segment prediction.
- 13:16Speaker 3: Okay, it is going to be the fourth quarter of
- 13:19Speaker 3: the first game for all four quarters.
- 13:22Speaker 2: I love that.
- 13:22Speaker 1: I need to talk about some how I processed going
- 13:25Speaker 1: into this week, knowing that I'm in lunatic mode. How
- 13:27Speaker 1: I've been processing Chad the stress, the football stress, and
- 13:33Speaker 1: because I do think you're four and five. It's a
- 13:35Speaker 1: big moment, right. You get to four and six, that's tough,
- 13:38Speaker 1: five and five. You climb above at six and five,
- 13:40Speaker 1: seven and five. Now we're talking again. The later you
- 13:42Speaker 1: get in the season, hanging around five hundred, the more
- 13:45Speaker 1: vulnerable you are to things going obviously, right, I mean.
- 13:49Speaker 2: That's just math, baby.
- 13:51Speaker 1: But what I did is I went and I was
- 13:56Speaker 1: just doing what I always do when I don't know
- 13:58Speaker 1: how to handle myself for one of the preview shows
- 14:00Speaker 1: and I get mad about a statistic or I worry
- 14:03Speaker 1: about a matchup, I just go learn about the city
- 14:06Speaker 1: a little bit. And I was reading this list of
- 14:11Speaker 1: like the craziest things to ever happen in the city
- 14:15Speaker 1: of Chicago, and for a second I thought I was
- 14:19Speaker 1: reading something about you.
- 14:20Speaker 3: Oh no, it must have been amazing.
- 14:22Speaker 1: The title was just I was like, the title was
- 14:27Speaker 1: just the man who died from eating too much ice cream.
- 14:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:34Speaker 1: In eighteen ninety two, a twenty one year old Frenchman
- 14:38Speaker 1: named Gone Beyond Jean. He emigrated to Chicago and took
- 14:42Speaker 1: a job at the Leland Hotel. While working in the
- 14:45Speaker 1: hotel's pantry, on his very first day, Jean got his
- 14:48Speaker 1: very first taste of ice cream, and I quote quickly
- 14:53Speaker 1: fell into a downward spiral of ice cream addiction that
- 14:57Speaker 1: led to his untimely death five days later. Yeah. When
- 15:02Speaker 1: questioned by the police, his coworkers, who seem only slightly suspicious, right,
- 15:08Speaker 1: they claimed that Jean did nothing but eat ice cream morning, noon,
- 15:13Speaker 1: and night for five days until his stomach literally froze,
- 15:18Speaker 1: causing him to die.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:21Speaker 1: I I imagine that's the way you will go out.
- 15:25Speaker 3: Well, I'm gonna tell you something. So Daniels is a
- 15:27Speaker 3: stage name. Gone Beyond is my is my real name.
- 15:31Speaker 3: But I didn't want to have MC's and hosts trying
- 15:35Speaker 3: to figure that. Hey guys, it's Chad going be in.
- 15:37Speaker 2: You know.
- 15:38Speaker 3: I didn't need that, so I just changed it to
- 15:40Speaker 3: Daniels where everyone could read it. But this is my
- 15:42Speaker 3: great great this is my great grandpa.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Nothing has ever made more sense.
- 15:46Speaker 3: Yeah. So, right before he had that first bite of
- 15:48Speaker 3: ice cream, he laid with a lady.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, he had he had a he made sure
- 15:53Speaker 1: he got someone, he got someone with child, right, and
- 15:58Speaker 1: then he found the ice cream and spiraled out of control.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Are you do you do? So you've been you're doing
- 16:05Speaker 2: a lot.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Of games in person these days. Do you behave differently
- 16:10Speaker 1: from a snack standpoint in the stadium at home because
- 16:13Speaker 1: you're more of like a shame snacker sometimes where if
- 16:16Speaker 1: no one's around, you might go deep. Do you is
- 16:19Speaker 1: there a preferred snack at the bank? How does Chatty
- 16:23Speaker 1: handle himself with access to everything?
- 16:26Speaker 3: So if we look at the little pavilion where you're
- 16:30Speaker 3: walking around, right, you're walking around and you are seeing
- 16:33Speaker 3: all the food there are. Technically it's an oval, so
- 16:36Speaker 3: there are technically four straightaways and four curves. Now in
- 16:41Speaker 3: those four curves, I like a rice druck exactly. And
- 16:44Speaker 3: I have found uh weird corners and under staircases and
- 16:50Speaker 3: whatnot in every single curve. I know where those are.
- 16:55Speaker 3: And that's where I eat my food. I go out
- 16:57Speaker 3: and I go, hey, guys, I'm gonna go I'm gonna
- 16:59Speaker 3: go get a water. And then I go out and
- 17:01Speaker 3: I house a parlor Burger or I house a hockey
- 17:05Speaker 3: mom Brownie Sunday under the stairs, and then I come
- 17:09Speaker 3: back with my bottle of water. I go a long line,
- 17:12Speaker 3: am I right? And so nobody is the wiser that
- 17:16Speaker 3: I've eaten all those things until I belch and people go, well,
- 17:19Speaker 3: that's not water, and I go, hey, mind your business.
- 17:21Speaker 3: I got you these tickets I have.
- 17:23Speaker 1: I had a sneaking suspicion that the Brownie Sunday was
- 17:27Speaker 1: your go to at the stadium.
- 17:29Speaker 3: Bro the hockey mom, Brownie Sunday. Let me tell you something,
- 17:32Speaker 3: if you're going to the game, get out of the line,
- 17:35Speaker 3: or let me get to the front of the line.
- 17:38Speaker 3: But you have to be in the line.
- 17:39Speaker 2: It's so good.
- 17:40Speaker 1: That's an interesting thing to eat. I just imagine a
- 17:43Speaker 1: kid walking by you, huddled by a staircase eating a
- 17:47Speaker 1: Brownie Sunday.
- 17:49Speaker 2: That is the most I'm gonna say on brand thing
- 17:54Speaker 2: I've heard.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Have you ever seen a rescued dog eat its food from.
- 17:59Speaker 2: A and they eat a Brownie Sunday.
- 18:01Speaker 3: And then you can't can't have chocolate? What are you
- 18:04Speaker 3: doing to rescue dogs? So they're in there eating their
- 18:07Speaker 3: food out of a bowl, and then you go over
- 18:09Speaker 3: to pet them and they just turn their head and
- 18:10Speaker 3: they go, ah, that's what I look like under those staircases.
- 18:14Speaker 1: I know a couple of times you've been fortunate enough
- 18:17Speaker 1: to be in the influencer suite, which is the thing
- 18:19Speaker 1: they have at the stadium. That is a place when
- 18:22Speaker 1: I heard about what goes on and there, that is
- 18:25Speaker 1: a place that I assumed they would have to roll
- 18:29Speaker 1: you out of.
- 18:30Speaker 3: I didn't have one thing when I was in there,
- 18:31Speaker 3: had a bottle of water. That was it.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Did you have to make that choice because you didn't
- 18:35Speaker 1: want to get blueberry girl? Willy Wonka moved out, like, no,
- 18:38Speaker 1: you think.
- 18:39Speaker 3: I'm gonna go up to Vanilla Ice when I have
- 18:42Speaker 3: chicken wing sauce on my beard, Get out of here.
- 18:44Speaker 3: I gotta look respectable when I'm meeting my eros.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Huh, I forgot that you were in the influencer suite
- 18:51Speaker 1: for Vanilla Ice night. Yes, Ice Ice, Baby, let's get
- 18:55Speaker 1: let's get out of snacks. Let's get into the game. Okay,
- 18:58Speaker 1: let's put all my emotions aside. Now here's the good news.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Here's let me give you some good news. Bears might
- 19:05Speaker 1: be six and three against two, but the record of
- 19:09Speaker 1: the teams they have won against those six wins fifteen
- 19:14Speaker 1: forty one and one. Now, the Vikings also have an
- 19:19Speaker 1: eight and one record against the Bears in the last
- 19:21Speaker 1: nine And yeah, am I trying to tell you stuff
- 19:23Speaker 1: that maybe doesn't matter to get you ahead in the
- 19:25Speaker 1: right direction.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Sure, but it's a big game, folks.
- 19:30Speaker 3: It is a big game. And let me just say something.
- 19:31Speaker 3: If you tie in professional football, you should be kicked
- 19:34Speaker 3: out of a league for the rest of the year.
- 19:36Speaker 2: I think, I mean, I don't know that they're gonna
- 19:38Speaker 2: put that into action. They're not.
- 19:39Speaker 3: I have so many good ideas no one ever listens.
- 19:42Speaker 1: I think this is the opportunity to there's gonna be
- 19:46Speaker 1: a point, there's just it's just gonna happen this year
- 19:50Speaker 1: where I believe it, even with a rookie quarterback, where
- 19:54Speaker 1: it's just gonna click. You know, you know when you
- 19:58Speaker 1: watch like a Treasure Hunt movie or something and all
- 20:01Speaker 1: of a sudden, like a vault door.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Click like.
- 20:06Speaker 1: And then everything opens. I think that's gonna happen. I
- 20:10Speaker 1: don't know when, where, or how, but I think we're
- 20:13Speaker 1: gonna have a game where all of a sudden, we're
- 20:14Speaker 1: gonna go oh man. The running game is working. The
- 20:18Speaker 1: o linemen are moving downhill, and everything they are doing
- 20:23Speaker 1: to try to stop it is going to present the
- 20:26Speaker 1: perfect opportunity to just gash, gash, gash, and the rhythm's
- 20:30Speaker 1: gonna be right, and the flow is gonna be right,
- 20:33Speaker 1: and this team is gonna put a thirty something on
- 20:35Speaker 1: the board without even needing turnovers. Right, I think that's
- 20:39Speaker 1: gonna happen. I think it's coming. I truly believe there's
- 20:44Speaker 1: a chance that it's this week because if you look
- 20:46Speaker 1: at how few rushing attempts they had last week in
- 20:48Speaker 1: a very winnable game. If you look at how tough
- 20:50Speaker 1: the Chargers game was, if you look at how well
- 20:53Speaker 1: they ran against the Lions. I just think like we're
- 20:56Speaker 1: floating around this identity because I told you last week
- 20:59Speaker 1: it's Donovan Jackson. Kid is a beast. He's a beast
- 21:02Speaker 1: moving downhill. Aaron Jones looks fresh.
- 21:06Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 21:07Speaker 1: I think this might be the game where you look
- 21:09Speaker 1: around and go, damn, did they just run for one
- 21:12Speaker 1: hundred and ninety yards? And also JJ threw for two
- 21:15Speaker 1: or three touchdouts? Like I think it could be the
- 21:18Speaker 1: one where the lock clicks and the vault open.
- 21:22Speaker 3: Yeah, we saw first of all, Jay, if we can
- 21:25Speaker 3: get the actual sound effects of a safe opening, I
- 21:27Speaker 3: think that would help people listening.
- 21:29Speaker 4: Secondly, I thought I did a great job a lot
- 21:32Speaker 4: of like Star Wars noise criticism, of my accents, but
- 21:37Speaker 4: I thought I did a fine Michael Winslow safe opening.
- 21:40Speaker 3: So I think that we great reference. I think that
- 21:44Speaker 3: we saw glimpses of it in Detroit and then it
- 21:47Speaker 3: was ripped from us during the Ravens game. I think
- 21:50Speaker 3: that we need everybody to stay on site. I think
- 21:53Speaker 3: third and four is gettable. I think third and nine
- 21:56Speaker 3: after a mistake is frustrating. I also think, sure, maybe
- 22:01Speaker 3: the refs are gonna have to let Dallas Turner sack
- 22:04Speaker 3: a quarterback. Is this not an NFL quarterback? He didn't
- 22:08Speaker 3: put his weight on him. If he tries to avoid him,
- 22:11Speaker 3: he's gonna hurt himself and somebody else. He's trying to
- 22:14Speaker 3: tackle the quarterback. Let him tackle the quarterback. It's not
- 22:17Speaker 3: roughing anyways. I think that we are looking sharp, and
- 22:22Speaker 3: I think this is the game where it's gonna get nuts.
- 22:25Speaker 3: And I'm telling you, combine your thoughts about putting thirty up,
- 22:29Speaker 3: about rushing for one hundred and ninety plus JJ throws
- 22:32Speaker 3: for a couple. I know what a person looks like
- 22:35Speaker 3: when they're about to break. I see it every single
- 22:38Speaker 3: morning in the mirror. And I'm telling you this young
- 22:41Speaker 3: quarterback for the Bears. I'm telling it's gonna take two
- 22:45Speaker 3: sacks and an overthrow and it is lights out.
- 22:48Speaker 1: And you know who I hope gets to him and
- 22:51Speaker 1: gets to him early, ladies and gentlemen, it will be
- 22:53Speaker 1: the two hundredth game of one Harrison Smith.
- 22:58Speaker 3: Absolutely send him on a stunt or pick six, just
- 23:02Speaker 3: for the two hundredth baby.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Man to get to get a big moment in that
- 23:06Speaker 1: big milestone game. Yeah, that's that's one of those things
- 23:10Speaker 1: where he has He's so quietly great. It's you know,
- 23:14Speaker 1: when you have a Randy Moss. You haven't Adrian Peterson,
- 23:17Speaker 1: you have some of these guys. They're so big and loud.
- 23:21Speaker 1: From a performance standpoint, I often argue that even though
- 23:25Speaker 1: we all talk about how great Harrison Smith is, we
- 23:28Speaker 1: don't often remotely understand how great he is, right And
- 23:33Speaker 1: I yeah, man, I just I really hope that dude
- 23:37Speaker 1: has a big game and the defense has a big game.
- 23:39Speaker 2: Let's two predictions.
- 23:39Speaker 3: I'm sure they will. I just want to add to
- 23:41Speaker 3: that quickly is that you know, the reason you don't
- 23:44Speaker 3: see a lot of Harrison Smith or hear about him
- 23:46Speaker 3: on TV is because they're scared to throw his way
- 23:50Speaker 3: and so you're not seeing I mean, you're not seeing
- 23:52Speaker 3: the fantastic coverage and closing speed and just on them
- 23:58Speaker 3: every single play. And so I can't wait. I think
- 24:01Speaker 3: it's gonna be a big one.
- 24:02Speaker 2: I think it's gonna be a big one.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Give me the score player and Chad okay score.
- 24:10Speaker 3: As we know, we've kind of upped, We've kind of
- 24:13Speaker 3: pumped it up, and we've.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Pumped it up, and we looked dumb for pumping it up.
- 24:17Speaker 3: We did look stupid. So I think that the Bears
- 24:21Speaker 3: are going to come out swinging because they need it,
- 24:24Speaker 3: because they're riding this pretend high off their last two
- 24:28Speaker 3: you know, fancy victories, and the Vikings are hurting. They're
- 24:32Speaker 3: licking their wounds from a lot.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Of silly playing.
- 24:34Speaker 3: I'm gonna say and and so I'm gonna go Bears
- 24:40Speaker 3: three Vikings to forty two.
- 24:43Speaker 1: I also a little embarrassed that we've pumped it up
- 24:45Speaker 1: too much. We've been overly cocky. Then we go lose
- 24:48Speaker 1: against the Ravens, so I wanted to dial it down
- 24:49Speaker 1: a lot. I think this is gonna be a lot
- 24:51Speaker 1: lower scoring of a game. I have the Bears at
- 24:54Speaker 1: fourteen and the Vikings at two hundred and ninety six.
- 24:58Speaker 2: Player performance.
- 25:00Speaker 3: Well, you know we said it already, but Harrison Smith
- 25:04Speaker 3: of course got him taking one. I got him. I
- 25:08Speaker 3: got him for a sack and a pick.
- 25:11Speaker 2: Listen to me.
- 25:12Speaker 1: I think my last week prediction predict predict predict prediction
- 25:15Speaker 1: was JJ. I think, and then I think he had
- 25:19Speaker 1: a very frustrating game. And I don't say that from
- 25:21Speaker 1: a fan standpoint. I think he was frustrated. I think
- 25:23Speaker 1: he has very high standards for himself. So I'm doubling
- 25:26Speaker 1: down big big JJ.
- 25:30Speaker 3: You talk, you're talking about Jets, You're talking.
- 25:31Speaker 1: About I'm talking about Jets, talking about Jets, Okay, I'm
- 25:34Speaker 1: talking about Justin Jefferson.
- 25:36Speaker 4: Uh.
- 25:36Speaker 1: And then my prediction is that I'm gonna do it
- 25:40Speaker 1: for both of us.
- 25:41Speaker 2: I don't think we're.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Going to talk a lot on Sunday. You're gonna be
- 25:43Speaker 1: at the game. I'm gonna be pacing around my house.
- 25:46Speaker 1: I think we will talk starting at halftime based upon
- 25:49Speaker 1: how the game's going, given what you're willing to listen.
- 25:53Speaker 2: From too from me in a normal game situation.
- 25:57Speaker 3: Okay, And my my personal prediction is, and I hate
- 26:00Speaker 3: to say this about the game, but I think there
- 26:02Speaker 3: are going to be two and again, as fans, please
- 26:07Speaker 3: understand what I'm saying. I think there are going to
- 26:09Speaker 3: be two hockey mom brownie Sundays eating under the stairs.
- 26:13Speaker 1: That's gonna do it for us, folks. Thank you Chad
- 26:15Speaker 1: for joining the show. Thank you to all of you
- 26:18Speaker 1: for listening to the feed. Leave a review, rate it stars,
- 26:21Speaker 1: thumbs up, nice words. We appreciate it. Finally, a huge
- 26:24Speaker 1: shout out to Ticketmaster, the official ticket marketplace of the
- 26:27Speaker 1: Minnesota Vikings, for helping make this show happen. Enjoy the game, everybody,
