Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: This is kiss Breakfast.
- 0:02Speaker 2: You remember T Pain? Oh he was huge in my day.
- 0:06Speaker 2: I love T Pain. Oh that's not the right thing.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Name.
- 0:13Speaker 2: No, it's by you a drank. It is by your drain.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Very different.
- 0:19Speaker 4: Well, he was doing a live stream, so basically what
- 0:22Speaker 4: he's got into these days is gaming streams where all
- 0:25Speaker 4: the money is people just sit there and play games
- 0:27Speaker 4: and live stress.
- 0:28Speaker 5: It's huge, isn't it. Like it's a twisting other people
- 0:30Speaker 5: play games.
- 0:31Speaker 4: I'll never understand. But I'm not that big into gaming
- 0:33Speaker 4: to understand that.
- 0:35Speaker 2: But it's just people make bank off that.
- 0:39Speaker 4: So yeah, he was on a live stream when Pharrell
- 0:41Speaker 4: Williams called him. Now, Pharrell Williams obviously a legendary music
- 0:45Speaker 4: producer and is behind huge hits, and when he got
- 0:48Speaker 4: this phone call from Pharrell, he basically said to T Pain,
- 0:51Speaker 4: I want you to try and help restore R and
- 0:53Speaker 4: B because he thinks the genre is dying.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Take a listening, man, there's normal one being your normally
- 1:03Speaker 3: meek Iron B dead is missing right now like him.
- 1:08Speaker 1: You know, I just I just want to explain this
- 1:13Speaker 1: to you.
- 1:14Speaker 6: Nothing.
- 1:14Speaker 1: You're scientific but made it look really easy, and you
- 1:19Speaker 1: came back and.
- 1:19Speaker 5: Made it look easy, and I feel like your friends
- 1:22Speaker 5: bringing back im B to W I feel like, I
- 1:26Speaker 5: mean it is true. Right like back in the day
- 1:28Speaker 5: when you and I worked with each other, R and
- 1:30Speaker 5: B was huge. We're working on an R and B station.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Now it's all pop and country.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Yeah, Like I can't think of the biggest R and
- 1:36Speaker 1: B I.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Mean recently we had, like Tyler had.
- 1:40Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I mean t Paine's still releasing music, by
- 1:44Speaker 4: the way, it's just not that no one's listening to it,
- 1:46Speaker 4: like Chris Brown still releasing music.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:49Speaker 5: Music goes in cycles too. Like rock used to be big,
- 1:52Speaker 5: like huge in the nineties, every station to play rock.
- 1:55Speaker 1: There's no rock in there like charts either. Rock is dead.
- 2:00Speaker 5: So yeah, I guess so right, but that can come back.
- 2:02Speaker 5: And even remember it was like you know, Good Charlotte,
- 2:05Speaker 5: all those kind of bands. Yeah, there's nothing like that
- 2:07Speaker 5: going on.
- 2:08Speaker 2: I'm just trying to think. I can't think of one
- 2:09Speaker 2: R and B artist that's big at the moment.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Tyler I reckon the Chanel Chick.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Yeah, but aside from her, like male R and B.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Artist, now there's no male one of them.
- 2:19Speaker 2: That's why when.
- 2:19Speaker 4: I've stumbled across a like bar that turns into somewhat
- 2:23Speaker 4: of a club at night, and think, why am I here?
- 2:25Speaker 2: I'm way too old.
- 2:26Speaker 4: When I'm there, they're still listening to buy you a
- 2:28Speaker 4: drink and stuff like that. So because their music is
- 2:32Speaker 4: not club appropriate, you can't dance to it. So when
- 2:34Speaker 4: I go there, I'm like, the whole crowd is fifteen
- 2:37Speaker 4: years younger than me, but they're listening to what we
- 2:39Speaker 4: listened to fifteen years ago.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Well, very confusing.
- 2:42Speaker 1: We need a back, We need a big.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Rony back R and B bring back T pain.
- 2:46Speaker 4: Also, Jimmy Kimmel's wife has opened up about how they
- 2:49Speaker 4: first got together back in two thousand and nine. Now,
- 2:52Speaker 4: if you didn't know, Molly, his wife, was actually one
- 2:54Speaker 4: of the head writers on the Jimmy Kimmels Show, so.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Technically Jimmy was her boss when they got together.
- 3:00Speaker 4: So she worked under him for eight years until he
- 3:02Speaker 4: finally decided.
- 3:04Speaker 2: To make a move, and he did it in a
- 3:05Speaker 2: really sweet way. Take a listen.
- 3:07Speaker 6: At the time, I was one of the head Raiders
- 3:09Speaker 6: and at one of our raiters meetings, someone asked, you
- 3:12Speaker 6: only have.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Five foods the rest of your life. What are they?
- 3:14Speaker 6: And we all went around the table and said them,
- 3:16Speaker 6: and I just rattled off. I remember I said pizza
- 3:18Speaker 6: and Yoki crab claus belt and chocolate of cookies. And
- 3:21Speaker 6: about six months later, I go to Jimmy's house. He
- 3:24Speaker 6: asks me to come over after work and he opens
- 3:28Speaker 6: up the door and it smells delicious and he's like,
- 3:31Speaker 6: I've made some things and it was pizza and yokil
- 3:35Speaker 6: cookies and belt.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Yeah, how good is yoki?
- 3:38Speaker 2: She's saying, I thought you were saying yoki.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Yeah, that is that.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Her saying yok yeah yo yoke.
- 3:46Speaker 5: Sounds like the boss inviting you. Haven't been anyway? Is
- 3:48Speaker 5: that what women want? Asked you remember what you like?
- 3:51Speaker 1: Thoughtfulness, such effort those.
- 3:54Speaker 4: No, but it's it's like we want to show that
- 3:56Speaker 4: you're paying attention, Like anyone can buy you something. In short,
- 4:00Speaker 4: that's great from time to time. But like even when
- 4:02Speaker 4: my partner says, oh, you know, what do you want
- 4:04Speaker 4: for your birthday? Or what do you want for Valentine's Day?
- 4:06Speaker 4: Or what do you want for I always say a letter?
- 4:08Speaker 5: Oh, like a handwritten Yeah, yeah, it's just nice. Can
- 4:12Speaker 5: I just give you like cash and a card or something?
- 4:14Speaker 2: I'm not your nephew. You don't just chuck fifty bucks
- 4:16Speaker 2: in a card and say happy birthday.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Girls love a letter, though, you do, Yeah, because.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Boys aren't generally great at expressing how they feel.
- 4:24Speaker 4: So it's once a year we get like pined over
- 4:28Speaker 4: and told how amazing and beautiful we are.
- 4:30Speaker 2: We'll hold onto that for dealer. We'll hold onto that
- 4:32Speaker 2: letter forever.
- 4:33Speaker 5: And this day and age, it's much easier. Hey, chat chef,
- 4:35Speaker 5: Bet you write me a letter for my girlfriend Alana.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Don't shortcut.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Get rid of the dashes. The dashes is a clear giveaway.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Yeah, the extra long dashes, Yeah, get rid of that.
- 4:45Speaker 1: She'll have no idea.
- 4:46Speaker 4: I think we can tell when you're writing is normally
- 4:48Speaker 4: the standard of a kindergartener. And then all of a sudden,
- 4:51Speaker 4: you're writing this like poetry.
- 4:52Speaker 2: It's full of dashes.
