- 0:13Speaker 1: the twenty four hour Virtual Takeover. Come, allow your brand
- 0:17Speaker 1: to speak, get heard.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Scream the next thing I know. I see your window.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Ladies and gentlemen, I have your attention.
- 1:28Speaker 4: Please.
- 1:29Speaker 3: The show starts in line eight seven, six, five, four
- 1:44Speaker 3: three two.
- 1:48Speaker 1: One Google Hello, Hello, Hello, Hello, and welcome, Welcome, Welcome.
- 1:54Speaker 1: I am, of course, I am the visionary of the
- 1:59Speaker 1: Crew High and today I wanted to jump on and
- 2:03Speaker 1: share with you guys about our upcoming twenty four hour
- 2:08Speaker 1: virtual takeover. So I want to take a moment. I'm
- 2:12Speaker 1: going to be sharing this out in some of our
- 2:15Speaker 1: platforms because I want to get this information out, because
- 2:18Speaker 1: we want those that can and will come and share
- 2:23Speaker 1: their journey, their story that that has allowed them to
- 2:27Speaker 1: get through to help somebody else. We want them to
- 2:30Speaker 1: come be a part of this virtual take over so
- 2:34Speaker 1: that they can share their message. Because now all the
- 2:38Speaker 1: time we take the opportunity to share those things that
- 2:42Speaker 1: we have been through, those tests, those trials, those tribulations,
- 2:45Speaker 1: know that we just didn't they just didn't come upon us.
- 2:49Speaker 1: They We went through them because first he knew we
- 2:52Speaker 1: were able to handle them, so that we were able
- 2:55Speaker 1: to get through them, so that we can use them
- 2:57Speaker 1: as stepping stones. We can use them as tea blocks,
- 3:00Speaker 1: We can use them as lessons and advancements to help
- 3:03Speaker 1: others that may go through what we are enduring, what
- 3:07Speaker 1: we have endured, and what we yet to endure. Because
- 3:09Speaker 1: the Word tells us that we're going to go through
- 3:11Speaker 1: some things, we know that we're going to go through
- 3:13Speaker 1: some things, so we have to prepare ourselves, and we
- 3:16Speaker 1: prepare ourselves by doing these things here, by coming together,
- 3:20Speaker 1: allowing our voices to speak. If you have been through something,
- 3:24Speaker 1: know that you are not alone on that journey. Know
- 3:27Speaker 1: that you are not the only person that has endured
- 3:30Speaker 1: that you are the only person that has been through that. Y'all.
- 3:33Speaker 1: I want to take a moment. I want to pull
- 3:36Speaker 1: up this other site so that I can stream through
- 3:39Speaker 1: this other side. I've been using substack. It's an amazing platform.
- 3:42Speaker 1: If you guys are not using substat it is an
- 3:45Speaker 1: amazing platform for writers and creatives. If you are a
- 3:49Speaker 1: writer and a creative, it's not about likes it's not
- 3:52Speaker 1: about follows, it's not about all that over there. But
- 3:55Speaker 1: there is opportunities for you if you are someone that
- 3:58Speaker 1: knows how to take advance of those opportunities. There's opportunities
- 4:02Speaker 1: for you to utilize for the advancement of your brand
- 4:07Speaker 1: and to possibly create another scream of income. Y'all know,
- 4:11Speaker 1: that's what we do out here in these social media streets,
- 4:15Speaker 1: all of us entrepreneurs. This is what we do on
- 4:19Speaker 1: a constant basis. This is what we are supposed to do,
- 4:23Speaker 1: and when we come across things, it is our duty
- 4:25Speaker 1: to share it with somebody, to share it with the
- 4:28Speaker 1: next person so that they too can walk in these things. Y'all.
- 4:33Speaker 1: So I first wanted to I want to talk about
- 4:39Speaker 1: our suicide awareness book, and I want to talk about well,
- 4:44Speaker 1: I'm not supposed to say suicide. So our Unliven book
- 4:49Speaker 1: it is a thirty day devotional where you can share
- 4:54Speaker 1: your testimony if you are a survivor of an attempt,
- 5:00Speaker 1: or if you have endured the loss of someone to Unliven,
- 5:07Speaker 1: this is an opportunity for you to share that story,
- 5:09Speaker 1: to share that journey. I am an attempt survivor, I
- 5:15Speaker 1: along with twenty other individuals. We shared inside of book
- 5:20Speaker 1: number one. It was a twenty day devotional, well twenty
- 5:24Speaker 1: one day devotional when we just shared our journey. We
- 5:27Speaker 1: shared our story and we applied the word of God.
- 5:31Speaker 1: We applied scripture, We have applied affirmations, We applied those
- 5:35Speaker 1: things that we utilize to get through that stage in
- 5:39Speaker 1: our life. And these are things that we have to
- 5:42Speaker 1: talk about because these are things that a lot of
- 5:44Speaker 1: people do not like to talk about. These are things
- 5:47Speaker 1: that we like to brush under the rug. These are
- 5:49Speaker 1: things that you know, what happens in our homes, stay
- 5:52Speaker 1: in our home type things that when we were little,
- 5:55Speaker 1: Oh that's just Oh, that's just Uncle Johnny, that's just
- 5:58Speaker 1: cousin Sally. That's just how they act, That's just how
- 6:01Speaker 1: they are. No, those are mental issues. Those are things
- 6:05Speaker 1: that need to be addressed so that we don't keep
- 6:08Speaker 1: passing them down generation to generation to generation. And then
- 6:12Speaker 1: a lot of us, we don't truly don't understand that
- 6:15Speaker 1: a lot of the things, a lot of the trauma,
- 6:17Speaker 1: a lot of the stuff that we endure, we we
- 6:20Speaker 1: didn't we didn't physically indo it. We end it in
- 6:24Speaker 1: the womb. We and we came into this world going
- 6:29Speaker 1: through some stuff. You know, I've seen cases and I
- 6:33Speaker 1: know someone personally that gave birth to a child and
- 6:38Speaker 1: three days later that child was diagnosed as severe depression. Yes,
- 6:43Speaker 1: a baby three days oh diagnosed as severe depressed. So
- 6:49Speaker 1: this is very this happens. So when we are mothers
- 6:55Speaker 1: and we are carrying these children, we have to understand
- 6:58Speaker 1: that are environs and just like what we put in
- 7:02Speaker 1: our bodies, that that reflects in our actions and what
- 7:07Speaker 1: we put out that that reflects in how we look,
- 7:11Speaker 1: how the energy that we have and all of that stuff.
- 7:15Speaker 1: So just like that when we're putting into our body,
- 7:18Speaker 1: you gotta think your baby's attached to you for nine months.
- 7:21Speaker 1: So everything that you're ingesting, everything that you're taking in,
- 7:25Speaker 1: everything that is coming over you, don't you think it
- 7:28Speaker 1: has to affect the baby in some type of way.
- 7:31Speaker 1: If our environment, if it affects if it affects us,
- 7:37Speaker 1: then think about when you're carrying that baby and you
- 7:42Speaker 1: as the environment, because you are the environment. You are
- 7:46Speaker 1: the first contact that this child has to be outside world.
- 7:51Speaker 1: So everything that affects you, everything that happens to you,
- 7:56Speaker 1: it happens to the baby. So a lot of this
- 7:59Speaker 1: stuff get pass on to our children, and we wonder
- 8:03Speaker 1: why our babies act out, We wonder why our babies
- 8:06Speaker 1: go through this, We wonder why this is happening, why
- 8:09Speaker 1: this is happening, And as medical physicians and different people
- 8:17Speaker 1: in the medical field, you know that they don't address
- 8:21Speaker 1: it because it wasn't until what some years ago that
- 8:26Speaker 1: they even started acknowledging that this was happening, that this
- 8:31Speaker 1: was actually what was happening, and they began to really
- 8:36Speaker 1: show different cases and different things where it was being proven.
- 8:43Speaker 1: So I tell y'all again, I'm on live. I have
- 8:50Speaker 1: my one of my co hosts. She's actually calling in,
- 8:52Speaker 1: so y'all, let me see what she's talking about. We
- 8:56Speaker 1: are on Hey, y'all, Hey, y'all, We're on TikTok, We're
- 9:00Speaker 1: on Twitch YouTube. I was talking about our virtual conference.
- 9:08Speaker 1: But y'all excuse me for a second, because I need
- 9:10Speaker 1: to see how my host is doing. She actually, I
- 9:14Speaker 1: think she traveled, so I needed to know. I actually
- 9:17Speaker 1: text her and I didn't hear back from her, so
- 9:19Speaker 1: I needed to know are you okay? Yes? Are you okay?
- 9:26Speaker 4: Can you hear me?
- 9:27Speaker 1: Yes? I can hear you, So tell everybody in video
- 9:32Speaker 1: Land and TikTok Land, Facebook Land, YouTube Land, tell everybody Hello, Exploring.
- 9:43Speaker 1: So we were just on here. I actually jumped on
- 9:47Speaker 1: to talk about the twenty four hour Virtual Domestic Violence Conference. Well,
- 9:52Speaker 1: it's a takeover that we do. This is going to
- 9:56Speaker 1: be the fifth year. I have been doing this since
- 10:00Speaker 1: I think twenty twenty's when we first started. And I
- 10:06Speaker 1: go live on the September thirtieth at eleven fifty nine,
- 10:11Speaker 1: about twelve o'clock. I usually bring somebody on and they
- 10:15Speaker 1: usually share, They usually do whatever they want to do.
- 10:17Speaker 1: They get to take over for about forty five minutes
- 10:20Speaker 1: because we always tell them to make sure we leave
- 10:22Speaker 1: time in between for the next person to be able
- 10:25Speaker 1: to come on at their start time. So for the
- 10:28Speaker 1: whole day, that mean I'm gonna be up all day.
- 10:31Speaker 1: That I mean I'm gonna have a lot of coffee
- 10:32Speaker 1: going on, and we're just gonna be sharing our journeys.
- 10:36Speaker 1: We're gonna be sharing our truth, We're gonna be sharing
- 10:38Speaker 1: our stores, We're gonna be sharing some statistics. We're gonna
- 10:40Speaker 1: be talking about different cases, We're gonna be talking about
- 10:43Speaker 1: different stuff around the domestic violence and how we can
- 10:49Speaker 1: be proactive. How we can you know, get some things going,
- 10:54Speaker 1: how we can keep some things going and stuff like that.
- 10:57Speaker 1: That's that's what we're gonna be doing that day. So
- 11:01Speaker 1: I'm trying to get some people invob trying to get
- 11:03Speaker 1: some people signed up and attached to this project. So
- 11:08Speaker 1: are you traveling?
- 11:11Speaker 4: I am actually on my way home. I just got
- 11:14Speaker 4: off work.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Oh you worked?
- 11:17Speaker 4: Yeah, that's why I couldn't say that no prayer this
- 11:21Speaker 4: morning since I was that how was at work?
- 11:26Speaker 1: So wow, I don't know. I thought you was gone
- 11:30Speaker 1: out of town. Don't know my days, it seemed like
- 11:33Speaker 1: my days seemed to go by fast. They seem to
- 11:36Speaker 1: have been getting sipping past me here lately, because you know,
- 11:40Speaker 1: Wednsday slipped up on me really quick, and then Winsday
- 11:43Speaker 1: went by so fast, and I'm like what, I'm like, okay,
- 11:51Speaker 1: but yeah it these days have really been going by fast.
- 11:55Speaker 1: So tell everybody who you are, because I am live.
- 11:58Speaker 1: I am live here on on TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook.
- 12:04Speaker 1: So tell them who this mystery lady is that they
- 12:07Speaker 1: don't see but they hear.
- 12:11Speaker 4: Hello everyone again. My name is Janette Joathan. I am
- 12:15Speaker 4: the w hote. I am the host of Let's Talk
- 12:19Speaker 4: About It, where we talk about injustice, we bring and
- 12:22Speaker 4: learnings to wrong for conviction over central thing, a lot
- 12:29Speaker 4: of things that's going on into in our prison system.
- 12:34Speaker 4: How I started is my husband, Juan Johnson, is currently
- 12:39Speaker 4: in prison wrongfully and I wanted to be a voice
- 12:45Speaker 4: for him, and that gave me the perfect opportunity to
- 12:51Speaker 4: start speaking out against against the uh the injustice that
- 12:56Speaker 4: are men and women are experienced out of the prison system.
- 13:02Speaker 4: I also have written in I believe six of Angela's
- 13:09Speaker 4: anthology and I'm currently working or I just finished my
- 13:16Speaker 4: first book about grief, about my journey through grief. I
- 13:21Speaker 4: lost well, I don't like to use the word lost.
- 13:24Speaker 4: My son transition eighteen months ago. So I went into
- 13:29Speaker 4: a dark period and Angela was there to help me
- 13:38Speaker 4: through it. You know, she was a listening here when
- 13:42Speaker 4: I didn't have nobody that would listen, or when people
- 13:45Speaker 4: got to the point where they didn't want me to
- 13:49Speaker 4: mention or or talk about my son. So Angela was
- 13:56Speaker 4: there for me, and a lot of other women's there
- 14:01Speaker 4: for me that God had sent my way while I
- 14:06Speaker 4: was in my joel Owen.
- 14:08Speaker 1: So yeah, that's why.
- 14:10Speaker 4: Am I all other up for a grandmother for and
- 14:18Speaker 4: I'm just out here living my life, getting rebuilding my
- 14:22Speaker 4: life and speaking out for our men and women that stuff.

- 19:45Speaker 1: my phone and how y'all are looking at me? Now?
- 19:47Speaker 1: We can do that, but I haven't been doing that,
- 19:50Speaker 1: and I'm thinking about starting to do that. We'll see,
- 19:54Speaker 1: but I really want to know. So if anybody out
- 19:57Speaker 1: there that's willing to teach me how I can streng
- 20:00Speaker 1: through my laptop through the desktop to TikTok. I actually
- 20:05Speaker 1: was trying to set up something the other day, but
- 20:07Speaker 1: I was unsuccessful in doing it. So if you guys
- 20:11Speaker 1: are out there, I think I have the access now,
- 20:14Speaker 1: because before you have to have access to be able
- 20:17Speaker 1: to scream. So I think I have the access now.
- 20:20Speaker 1: So now I just need to know how. So there's
- 20:22Speaker 1: anybody out there with to know how that wants to
- 20:24Speaker 1: show me how. I'm ready. I'm willing and I want
- 20:27Speaker 1: to because I'm ready to take these divas and these
- 20:31Speaker 1: kings that's about to come on. Y'all were ready to
- 20:33Speaker 1: go to the next level because we got some things
- 20:36Speaker 1: that's coming up. It's getting ready to be a major
- 20:38Speaker 1: shift because I truly believe that God is getting ready
- 20:43Speaker 1: to open up some doors and we're getting ready to
- 20:45Speaker 1: walk into some things. I'm excited because y'all, y'all been
- 20:48Speaker 1: here in Cornell with Sanette on this show for what
- 20:54Speaker 1: about a year now. Y'all been doing well, this is
- 20:57Speaker 1: y'all first season. This is their first season actually doing
- 20:59Speaker 1: the show together. So y'all been hearing them for about
- 21:02Speaker 1: six months. Well, in a little while, y'all gonna be
- 21:05Speaker 1: able to see them on the show together. Y'all gonna
- 21:09Speaker 1: be able to see both of them inside the studio
- 21:12Speaker 1: and talking live because Cornell is getting ready to transition.
- 21:16Speaker 1: On this side, y'all, this man has been in prison
- 21:20Speaker 1: for over thirty four years, wrongfully incarcerated, and he still
- 21:27Speaker 1: have been fighting not just for himself, but fighting for others.
- 21:32Speaker 1: If you just just listen to him, y'all, I'm telling y'all,
- 21:36Speaker 1: y'all probably don't even really listen when he come on
- 21:39Speaker 1: here and be talking. Y'all probably just think he's just
- 21:41Speaker 1: somebody else that's on here which the net. But y'all,
- 21:44Speaker 1: he's incarcerated. And this man has been incarcerated for thirty
- 21:47Speaker 1: almost going on thirty five years now, wrongfully incarcerated, and
- 21:53Speaker 1: the things that he has endured, but yet he still
- 21:56Speaker 1: take the time to pour into others and to help
- 21:59Speaker 1: others bring awareness to their case. Nothing that nobody told me,
- 22:03Speaker 1: something that I have witnessed, I have witnessed, and I
- 22:05Speaker 1: have assisted him in assisting others to even get back
- 22:09Speaker 1: into court to get money that was old to them
- 22:12Speaker 1: and all types of stuff. So this is what we
- 22:15Speaker 1: do over here. Chanett is the person that you guys
- 22:20Speaker 1: need to get in contact with if you have a
- 22:23Speaker 1: loved one that is incarcerated and you want to share
- 22:28Speaker 1: their story, or if you just have if you have
- 22:31Speaker 1: a loved one that has been disenfranchised behind those prison walls.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Definitely want you to connect with Shanette and see how
- 22:44Speaker 1: we can bring their stories to the light and how
- 22:47Speaker 1: we can help address those things. So definitely stay connected
- 22:53Speaker 1: with Shanette. Follow her. She's on every first and third Monday,
- 22:57Speaker 1: eight pm Eastern Center Time five pm forcific stend the time.
- 23:01Speaker 1: And who's the who? Who y'all say, Who's gonna Who's
- 23:04Speaker 1: gonna be on your show Monday? You have a show
- 23:06Speaker 1: this Monday coming up.
- 23:08Speaker 4: Yes, we got James Gate out of Texas is gonna
- 23:13Speaker 4: join us this money and he's gonna be talking about
- 23:17Speaker 4: the the drugs that you know, what's going on inside
- 23:23Speaker 4: the prison, how Wanna is actually doing the CEO's job. Listen,
- 23:30Speaker 4: Leigate has a lot to talk about. Liter Legate is
- 23:33Speaker 4: also at prison. Wrong really. If you guys haven't seen
- 23:40Speaker 4: his documentary, please go over to YouTube and look at
- 23:46Speaker 4: the I believe it's the.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Bingo King Murderer. That's what it's called, The Bingo King Murderer.
- 23:54Speaker 1: It is a six part documentary, y'all. I'm telling you,
- 23:58Speaker 1: if you look at the documentary, you gonnamando, Well, how
- 24:01Speaker 1: is this man still in prison? But yet he still
- 24:03Speaker 1: sit in prison, but yet he still has a positive attitude, Shannette.
- 24:08Speaker 1: He actually called me on yesterday, had a chance to
- 24:11Speaker 1: talk to him on yesterday. So definitely, he's definitely encouraged.
- 24:15Speaker 1: He's definitely happy about being able to come on the
- 24:18Speaker 1: show we talked about. I think it's somebody else that
- 24:24Speaker 1: I think y'all had talked about that's coming on as well.
- 24:28Speaker 1: Oh yes, somebody. I think he used to be on
- 24:34Speaker 1: tak Nation or something. Yeah, So I'm excited about that.
- 24:38Speaker 1: I'm excited about that because people don't understand that if
- 24:41Speaker 1: they just speak up, that they can make a difference
- 24:45Speaker 1: behind these prison walls. It's just just speaking up and
- 24:48Speaker 1: letting these people know that you love your loved ones
- 24:51Speaker 1: and you're not gonna settle. You're not gonna just allow
- 24:54Speaker 1: these things to happen, and that you on action like you.
- 24:58Speaker 1: They may say, they may keep saying, and you keep going,
- 25:01Speaker 1: and you keep going, and you keep going, and you
- 25:03Speaker 1: keep pressing, and you keep pressing, and you keep writing,
- 25:06Speaker 1: and you keep writing and you keep writing. Eventually, these
- 25:08Speaker 1: people are gonna be like, Okay, she's not playing, and
- 25:12Speaker 1: they're gonna start acting on the things that you are
- 25:16Speaker 1: asking them to do because this is their job, this
- 25:20Speaker 1: is what they're supposed to do. And when you bring
- 25:23Speaker 1: this to their to their faces, and you put it
- 25:25Speaker 1: in their faces and their livelihood is at jeopardy, guess
- 25:30Speaker 1: what they begin to move, They begin to do the
- 25:34Speaker 1: things that they should have been doing all along. But
- 25:37Speaker 1: guess what This is what Chanette, myself and some of
- 25:42Speaker 1: these other individuals are out here doing, bringing all of
- 25:46Speaker 1: this stuff to light so that individuals can see what
- 25:51Speaker 1: is really going on behind this trillion dollar industry. Because
- 25:55Speaker 1: this is a trillion dollar industry. A lot of people
- 25:57Speaker 1: don't believe or understand what is going on from a
- 26:00Speaker 1: prison system. But what they are doing is they pipeline
- 26:04Speaker 1: in our kids from school to prison system. And it's
- 26:08Speaker 1: our kids are the ones that look like me, our
- 26:11Speaker 1: black and brown kids. Let the truth be told, y'all,
- 26:15Speaker 1: and we ask a a generation, as a as a race,
- 26:21Speaker 1: as a whatever you want to call it, ethnic group,
- 26:26Speaker 1: or whatever you want to labor, however you want to labor, y'all.
- 26:29Speaker 1: We got to do better. We gotta do something, and
- 26:31Speaker 1: we gotta stop it before. We gotta stop it. We
- 26:36Speaker 1: gotta stop it before. We got to be the forefront
- 26:39Speaker 1: before these kids go to school. We got to put
- 26:41Speaker 1: something in them before they go to school so that
- 26:44Speaker 1: they can't be deterred because a lot of this stuff
- 26:46Speaker 1: is coming from these teachers, because they don't care nothing
- 26:49Speaker 1: about our kids, and they putting this stuff in our
- 26:51Speaker 1: kids' heads that they don't matter that they come from slaves,
- 26:54Speaker 1: they ain't gonna be nothing, and they putting it in
- 26:56Speaker 1: their heads because all the stuff that I'm seeing across
- 26:59Speaker 1: the media, I'm I'm, I'm I'm, and I know how
- 27:03Speaker 1: when I came up, I know how they always wanted
- 27:05Speaker 1: to stick all the black kids in the B classes.
- 27:09Speaker 1: But yeah, we was always on the honor roll. We
- 27:11Speaker 1: was always on the Beaty club. We was always doing this,
- 27:16Speaker 1: We was always doing that, We was always doing this.
- 27:19Speaker 1: Graduated in the top ten percent of my class, So
- 27:20Speaker 1: you tell me why I should have been in a
- 27:22Speaker 1: B class, And they stuck me in the B class
- 27:26Speaker 1: all the way through school. But then they wonder why
- 27:29Speaker 1: I acted out. You know why I acted out. I
- 27:32Speaker 1: acted out because you didn't want to stimulate my mind.
- 27:34Speaker 1: You didn't want to You didn't want to fill me
- 27:36Speaker 1: with education. You just wanted to stick me in a corner.
- 27:40Speaker 1: They told me I read too fast, so they wanted
- 27:42Speaker 1: to slow me down. You want to know why I
- 27:45Speaker 1: have this this, this, this speech impediment now because they
- 27:48Speaker 1: said I was reading too fast, so they wanted to
- 27:51Speaker 1: slow me down, so they made me pause after every
- 27:55Speaker 1: every sentence. I had to pause, And I had an
- 27:57Speaker 1: attitude because I felt like I should been able to
- 28:00Speaker 1: read how I wanted to read. I should have been
- 28:02Speaker 1: able to flow how I wanted to flow, because that
- 28:05Speaker 1: was me. So I developed these different things. So I
- 28:09Speaker 1: had to go to speech I had. Oh yeah, they
- 28:11Speaker 1: tried to distract me and deter me all my life.
- 28:15Speaker 1: They stuck me in all kind of classes. They stuck
- 28:17Speaker 1: me in this, and they stuck me in that. But
- 28:19Speaker 1: guess what. Eventually I ended up getting my associate degree,
- 28:25Speaker 1: my bachelor's degree and my master's degree, and I guess what,
- 28:29Speaker 1: I graduated with distinction and all of them. I got
- 28:32Speaker 1: sum coom lighted for my associate and my bachelor's degree,
- 28:36Speaker 1: and then I got a grad of distinction for my
- 28:40Speaker 1: master's degree. So I think I did pretty good. What
- 28:43Speaker 1: you think snet for somebody that's on the President's list
- 28:46Speaker 1: right now? Huh? And she's doing great too. She's on
- 28:51Speaker 1: the President's list and she decided to go back to
- 28:53Speaker 1: school at over fifty. And that's what we're doing. Ain't
- 29:00Speaker 1: sitting out here waiting for nothing to fall out the sky.
- 29:03Speaker 1: We are making things happen, you know, where people have
- 29:08Speaker 1: told us we can't and they've put limits on this
- 29:12Speaker 1: and put limits on this. Okay, Well, when people look
- 29:15Speaker 1: at me, they don't even think I am my age,
- 29:17Speaker 1: And I want everybody because y'all a lot of y'all
- 29:19Speaker 1: don't even know me. Y'all just just jumping on and
- 29:22Speaker 1: jumping out. But how old do you think I am?
- 29:25Speaker 1: If you don't know my age? And if you know
- 29:28Speaker 1: my age, don't say nothing, But how old do you
- 29:30Speaker 1: think I am? Because a lot of people don't even
- 29:33Speaker 1: think i'm the age that I am, And then that wonder. Okay,
- 29:37Speaker 1: but she doing all this at that age? Why she
- 29:40Speaker 1: doing all that now? Yeah, because I still got a
- 29:43Speaker 1: long time to go. I ain't going nowhere soon, That's why.
- 29:47Speaker 1: And I plan on making a difference in the little
- 29:50Speaker 1: time I got. And even if I don't get to
- 29:52Speaker 1: enjoy you, guess what I got. I got nephews. I
- 29:55Speaker 1: got great nephews. They gotta grow up and then I'm
- 29:58Speaker 1: sure they gonna have some babies and they Blabor's gotta
- 30:01Speaker 1: grow up. And guess what they gonna know who they untie?
- 30:04Speaker 1: They gonna know they auntie because I'm gonna leave a
- 30:07Speaker 1: lot of evidence and it ain't gonna be nothing that nobody
- 30:09Speaker 1: told them, but it's gonna be something that I did,
- 30:12Speaker 1: something that I left for them to see. And that's
- 30:15Speaker 1: why I keep telling people. You gotta create your own legacy.
- 30:18Speaker 1: You can't allow people to tell you what your story is.
- 30:21Speaker 1: And you can't let people tell your story because people
- 30:24Speaker 1: are trying to tell it, but it ain't gonna be
- 30:27Speaker 1: with you. It ain't gonna be your way. You got
- 30:30Speaker 1: to put your own special, unique touch on Because he
- 30:32Speaker 1: said he made us all fearfully and wonderfully made in
- 30:36Speaker 1: his image that even the twins ain't the same, the
- 30:40Speaker 1: triplets ain't the same. They all got their own unique
- 30:44Speaker 1: thing about them. So y'all you gotta embrace it, embrace
- 30:49Speaker 1: your uniqueness. Are you ready to shift? Y'all? We've been
- 30:53Speaker 1: talking about shift on the Monday Morning motivation and y'all
- 30:57Speaker 1: know I be all over the place, but this bare
- 31:00Speaker 1: with me. But are you ready to shift? How do
- 31:03Speaker 1: you shift?
- 31:05Speaker 4: You?
- 31:05Speaker 1: First, you got to be self aware, So know who
- 31:10Speaker 1: you are? What are your morals? What are your values?
- 31:14Speaker 1: What are the things that mean something to you? What
- 31:17Speaker 1: is your beliefs? Is the self awareness that is the
- 31:21Speaker 1: first part of being able to shift. The h and
- 31:26Speaker 1: shift is heal or are are you healed? Or are
- 31:32Speaker 1: you allowed? And when I say heal, I mean hinderance.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Stop allowing people to hinder you. Stop having an ego. Yeah,
- 31:42Speaker 1: I'm spelling out the word heal. Stop having an ego.
- 31:46Speaker 1: And we have these egos because we walk around with attitudes?
- 31:49Speaker 1: Why because we don't love when we know that love
- 31:55Speaker 1: covers a multitude of sin. Love draws love love love
- 31:59Speaker 1: love love love love love is action. Yeah, and I'm glad.
- 32:08Speaker 1: I'm glad. I started talking about that, y'all, because y'all
- 32:10Speaker 1: know what I jumped on here and guess what we
- 32:13Speaker 1: were supposed to be doing today. And I've been trying
- 32:15Speaker 1: to keep up. I've been really trying to keep up.
- 32:17Speaker 1: I've been trying to keep up with the flow. We
- 32:19Speaker 1: didn't do our devotion for today. We didn't do our
- 32:22Speaker 1: devotion for the day. So we're gonna do our devotion
- 32:24Speaker 1: for the day really really quick. We are with day
- 32:28Speaker 1: five and we are on a thirty one day trip,
- 32:33Speaker 1: so we're on day five, so y'all, we still got
- 32:35Speaker 1: some more days to go. So today's scripture is oh
- 32:39Speaker 1: and we might need this one too, y'all. Okay, So
- 32:41Speaker 1: today's stripture, Day five is John twenty and twenty nine.
- 32:45Speaker 1: It's say Blessed are those who have not seen and
- 32:49Speaker 1: yet have believed. And guess what that that goes right
- 32:53Speaker 1: in with our scripture from this morning, that goes with
- 32:58Speaker 1: our faith scripture from this morning that we shared on
- 33:02Speaker 1: the prayer call, that goes with our faith scripture from
- 33:07Speaker 1: this morning that we've shared on a prayer call, and
- 33:11Speaker 1: the one that we shared on yesterday. He bruis eleven
- 33:16Speaker 1: and one, So y'all it's aligning. It's aligning, it says again,
- 33:21Speaker 1: blessed are those who have not yet seen but yet believe.
- 33:26Speaker 1: Faith without works is dead. You gotta believe, he says,
- 33:30Speaker 1: Trust his word, know that his word is true. The
- 33:33Speaker 1: affirmation for today is Blessed am I believing beyond what
- 33:40Speaker 1: is visible? Blessed am I believing beyond what is visible?
- 33:46Speaker 1: I'm blessed. And I believe that even what I can't see,
- 33:52Speaker 1: even past what I can't see now in the natural,
- 33:55Speaker 1: I believe that I'm blessed. Even if I can't see it,
- 33:58Speaker 1: I believe it. Huh. And you gotta speak that over
- 34:02Speaker 1: your life. That is the affirmation for today. Again, Blessed
- 34:06Speaker 1: am I believe in beyond what is visible? Huh. I'm
- 34:12Speaker 1: gonna read the poem for today, and then we're gonna
- 34:15Speaker 1: move on. We're gonna get back. I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 34:18Speaker 1: recap the the virtual domestic violence takeover. I'm gonna go
- 34:27Speaker 1: over it, and then I'm gonna get on off, and
- 34:29Speaker 1: then I may share a little bit more about the
- 34:31Speaker 1: unlive In Book if you guys want to be a
- 34:33Speaker 1: part of the Unliveing Book. Again, we can't say the
- 34:37Speaker 1: word but y'all know what I'm talking about. It is
- 34:41Speaker 1: going to be a thirty one day devotional just like
- 34:44Speaker 1: book number one Unliving Awareness book, Because of course I
- 34:51Speaker 1: am a unliving attempt survivor, so I definitely am an
- 34:58Speaker 1: advocate and set Timber is the month that we celebrate.
- 35:02Speaker 1: September is the month that we bring awareness to that.
- 35:06Speaker 1: I have family members that was not as fortunate to
- 35:12Speaker 1: survive their attempt and they transitioned, so I definitely want
- 35:18Speaker 1: to bring awareness to that, and also share statistics and
- 35:23Speaker 1: share if you need help, know that you do not
- 35:26Speaker 1: have to hurt alone. Know that there's help out there.
- 35:30Speaker 1: Just that you can pick up and call nine one one.
- 35:32Speaker 1: You can pick up and down nine eight eight. If
- 35:35Speaker 1: you feel like you may want to unalive yourself or
- 35:39Speaker 1: you may want to bring harm to yourself, please pick
- 35:43Speaker 1: up that phone, call get you some help, Get someone
- 35:46Speaker 1: that can assist you on the other side of that phone,
- 35:49Speaker 1: because there is someone on the other side of that
- 35:52Speaker 1: line that is certified and they carry credentials that can
- 35:57Speaker 1: help you. So don't hurt in silence, y'all, don' hurt inside.
- 36:00Speaker 1: So I'm going to read the poem, and these are
- 36:03Speaker 1: affirmation poems that is included in the devotion for the
- 36:11Speaker 1: I'm trying to show y'all the book, but it won't.
- 36:13Speaker 1: It don't want to come on the screen, like it
- 36:16Speaker 1: don't like to come on the screen. He always want
- 36:18Speaker 1: to show. But this is the book. It's called Beyond Sight.
- 36:21Speaker 1: It is a thirty one day of empowering faith and
- 36:25Speaker 1: affirmation along with poetry, y'all. So the poem for today,
- 36:30Speaker 1: it says, blessed believed, unseen yet true, a path of
- 36:35Speaker 1: faith refreshed a new and every step beyond deveil his
- 36:40Speaker 1: promises shine where doubts are could tell again. That's that piece,
- 36:49Speaker 1: and that's just a poem. It is just a short
- 36:51Speaker 1: affirmation poem, y'all, and y'all can read it and speak
- 36:54Speaker 1: of your life. It said, blessed believed, unseen yet true.
- 36:59Speaker 1: You gotta believe, even if you can't see, you gotta believe.
- 37:04Speaker 1: You gotta believe and know that it's blessed, a path
- 37:08Speaker 1: of faith refreshed a new y'all. Every day he extending
- 37:11Speaker 1: his grace in his mercy, his grace in his mercy.
- 37:16Speaker 1: Speak it over your life, and every step be undeveailed
- 37:20Speaker 1: his promises shine where doubts or could tell y'all, doubts
- 37:25Speaker 1: are gonna come. But guess what, you got the power
- 37:29Speaker 1: to overcome it. You can speak life to every situation
- 37:32Speaker 1: and you can overcome every situation. So know that. Okay,
- 37:36Speaker 1: y'all be encouraged on today. And I want to thank
- 37:39Speaker 1: my friend Schanet, my co host, my my ride or die, y'all,
- 37:45Speaker 1: shee my buddy. I don't I thank God for it
- 37:47Speaker 1: because she was definitely God sent because I was looking
- 37:52Speaker 1: for someone that could do what she does here on
- 37:56Speaker 1: the network. Even though I am advocate, I do so
- 38:01Speaker 1: much more that I could not devote the time that
- 38:04Speaker 1: I wanted or thought that what she does needed. So
- 38:09Speaker 1: I'm so glad that God saw fit to allow us
- 38:12Speaker 1: to connect and we connected because she was looking to
- 38:16Speaker 1: assist her husband and to bring light to her husband's case.
- 38:19Speaker 1: So now she's not only able to bring light to
- 38:21Speaker 1: her husband's case, but she's able to assist other people,
- 38:25Speaker 1: their families and those that don't have family, because y'all,
- 38:29Speaker 1: there's a lot of people that go to prison, and
- 38:32Speaker 1: when they go to prison, they lose their family, their family,
- 38:35Speaker 1: They just wash them away. They figured that they got
- 38:39Speaker 1: these long sentences, and some of them have these ridiculous
- 38:43Speaker 1: sentences that you think that they're probably never gonna get
- 38:45Speaker 1: out when you're looking at ninety nine years and one
- 38:47Speaker 1: hundred and fifty years that looked like something that's impossible.
- 38:52Speaker 1: And then families begin to push you to the backside.
- 38:54Speaker 1: They begin to push you to the back burner, and
- 38:57Speaker 1: some of them lose hope. Some of it them lose
- 39:01Speaker 1: they have doubts, and they lose that sense of family,
- 39:05Speaker 1: that lose that sense of the loneliness. So we just
- 39:10Speaker 1: launched another book. We did Kings You Are Not Forgotten,
- 39:14Speaker 1: Book number two. Sanette was a part of that book
- 39:17Speaker 1: along with Milibro Romero. She's one of the one hundred
- 39:21Speaker 1: authors that's a part of the movement, and Apostle Lee
- 39:26Speaker 1: Thomas Jr. He decided to share in this book. So
- 39:29Speaker 1: all four of us came together and did this book.
- 39:33Speaker 1: It's not just a devotional and it has some tools
- 39:40Speaker 1: and it has it really breaks down some things and
- 39:43Speaker 1: gives them it's like a work book. You want to
- 39:46Speaker 1: kind of say. It makes them think, and it makes
- 39:49Speaker 1: them reflect and it makes them put things in perspective.
- 39:53Speaker 1: So I'm excited about that I'm excited about that. Shanette,
- 39:57Speaker 1: are you still there.
- 40:01Speaker 4: Here?
- 40:01Speaker 1: Before we leave, I want you to tell them about
- 40:06Speaker 1: your book, because you have a new book that's supposed
- 40:09Speaker 1: to be coming out. If you would share with them
- 40:12Speaker 1: when you are planning and hopefully to have this book
- 40:16Speaker 1: out and how they can follow support you like outside
- 40:22Speaker 1: of the podcast, because you do so much more outside
- 40:25Speaker 1: of the podcast. She is also one of the hosts
- 40:28Speaker 1: that's a part of the suicide or not suicide Awear,
- 40:32Speaker 1: but our grief podcast Healing Voices when she can make it.
- 40:38Speaker 1: Sometime she is working because she works different hours, so
- 40:42Speaker 1: sometimes she may be working, but she is a part
- 40:45Speaker 1: of that podcast that we have. It comes on every
- 40:49Speaker 1: fifth Sunday, So whenever there's a fifth Sunday in the month, y'all,
- 40:53Speaker 1: we was on. I think we're coming on next month
- 40:55Speaker 1: in June. We'll be on the twenty ninth. I think
- 40:58Speaker 1: that Sunday, the twenty ninth, or the whatever that Sunday is,
- 41:02Speaker 1: we will be on, and we're actually gonna have one
- 41:06Speaker 1: of our co hosts on as a guest. She's also
- 41:10Speaker 1: a host here on the Crew podcast, but she's also
- 41:14Speaker 1: a co host over on the Healing Voices Navigating through
- 41:20Speaker 1: Grief podcasts, and that is Trevida. She's gonna be on
- 41:24Speaker 1: and sharing because she's actually getting ready to celebrate her
- 41:30Speaker 1: mom's sixty sixth birthday in July, and this is gonna
- 41:33Speaker 1: be her second year without her mom, so she's gonna
- 41:36Speaker 1: get an opportunity to share about that during that podcast
- 41:40Speaker 1: and about her new book that's coming out. So I'm
- 41:43Speaker 1: excited about that, and I'm excited about you being able
- 41:46Speaker 1: to share what you're doing. And definitely I want I
- 41:52Speaker 1: know people are going to be able to benefit from
- 41:54Speaker 1: your book because we all experience grief, and we all
- 41:59Speaker 1: experiences in different ways, one way or another, but if
- 42:03Speaker 1: we go through it, So please share with them when
- 42:08Speaker 1: they can expect your book out, how they can follow you,
- 42:11Speaker 1: how they can support you outside of the podcast, how
- 42:14Speaker 1: can they connect with you.
- 42:17Speaker 4: But they can connect with me on Facebook at chet Johnson.
- 42:22Speaker 4: That's my page, or you can look me up at
- 42:26Speaker 4: Let's talk about it on Facebook. I'm also on Instagram
- 42:31Speaker 4: and let's talk about it TikTok, I forgot the name
- 42:36Speaker 4: that I'm using out here. It's probably let's talk about
- 42:39Speaker 4: it as well.
- 42:41Speaker 1: My book.
- 42:44Speaker 4: These Last eighteen months has been a struggle for many
- 42:48Speaker 4: likes I said, I found my son unresponsible in his room.
- 42:51Speaker 4: He was thirty one years old. He had congested heart failure.
- 42:56Speaker 4: And you know, you never think that when you're talking
- 43:02Speaker 4: to somebody that you're gonna wake up the next day
- 43:05Speaker 4: and that person's gonna be gone.
- 43:07Speaker 1: Well I didn't.
- 43:09Speaker 4: Think that, and I went in there and I found
- 43:12Speaker 4: my son unresponsible, and it took.
- 43:15Speaker 1: Me through.
- 43:17Speaker 4: A dark place and I literally had to fight, and
- 43:24Speaker 4: Angela is my witness. I had to fight to get
- 43:28Speaker 4: back to where I was at. I stopped working, I
- 43:32Speaker 4: wanted to that everything because of that, because I just
- 43:38Speaker 4: couldn't let go of my son. I couldn't let him.
- 43:41Speaker 4: I couldn't let him go. I wanted him with me.
- 43:44Speaker 4: And you know, I just went through it. So my
- 43:47Speaker 4: book is basically I'm telling you what's how I got
- 43:53Speaker 4: through it. I give you a little background on the
- 43:58Speaker 4: day that I went into grief, the day it started
- 44:02Speaker 4: for me, that my dark that darkness started. And once
- 44:06Speaker 4: we all got to realize that a lot of people
- 44:09Speaker 4: will say Bach is saying no, it's not. When you
- 44:15Speaker 4: breathe a parent, that's a different breed. When you breath,
- 44:19Speaker 4: But when you a grandparent or a sibling or something
- 44:24Speaker 4: like that, that's different. But when your child had it's like
- 44:31Speaker 4: you've been sucked in the stomach and you can't breathe.
- 44:35Speaker 4: You know, you try to catch your breath, but you cain't.
- 44:38Speaker 4: That's how I was. I was stuck. I was stuck
- 44:42Speaker 4: on November tenth, twenty twenty three or sixteen. I was
- 44:50Speaker 4: stuck there. I was trapped there, and it was my
- 44:55Speaker 4: own fault because I wouldn't let go. I kept myself there.
- 45:02Speaker 4: So when I met Angela and she would let me,
- 45:07Speaker 4: I will call her, and she knew what was wrong
- 45:10Speaker 4: with me. She would just let me talk. And the
- 45:14Speaker 4: more she allowed me to share bits and pieces of
- 45:18Speaker 4: my son with her when people, when other people would
- 45:22Speaker 4: close me down, they wouldn't talk, let me talk about
- 45:25Speaker 4: talk about the pain that I was going from. But
- 45:29Speaker 4: Angela did, and then she helped me find solutions. She
- 45:35Speaker 4: told me to start writing, So that's how I began
- 45:38Speaker 4: to write form and I write to him. That's where
- 45:46Speaker 4: my petrait come in. I'll write to him, and.
- 45:51Speaker 1: She had me.
- 45:52Speaker 4: She was like, well do something to honor him. I procrastinated.
- 45:58Speaker 4: He wanted to go to college. He was like, Mama,
- 46:01Speaker 4: can you help me get in? Mama, can you do this?
- 46:03Speaker 4: And you know he was a mama's boy, and.
- 46:07Speaker 1: I didn't help them.
- 46:09Speaker 4: So that's I went back to college and I majoring
- 46:13Speaker 4: in business and with a minn Criminal Justice because I
- 46:17Speaker 4: can't get away from that. But it's hard. It was
- 46:24Speaker 4: hard these eighteen months, and I just want to tell
- 46:26Speaker 4: the parents or even if you lost a mother or siblings,
- 46:35Speaker 4: don't isolate yourself from no one. That's the wrong thing
- 46:40Speaker 4: you can do. You let family members that's there for you,
- 46:45Speaker 4: friends that's there for you. You let them love on you.
- 46:50Speaker 4: Instead of us going into a dark place, we should
- 46:53Speaker 4: be rejoicing that our family members are in the bosom
- 46:57Speaker 4: of their heaving his father, that there are rests that
- 47:01Speaker 4: they don't have to deal with, no more sicknesses and stuff.
- 47:04Speaker 4: My son was on over thirty medications for his heart.
- 47:14Speaker 4: We should be rejoiced and living our life. And so
- 47:19Speaker 4: that's what I chose to do. I chose to get
- 47:23Speaker 4: on stuff from November tenth and I wrote about it
- 47:31Speaker 4: and his birthday would be June eleven. I was hoping
- 47:40Speaker 4: to release it on his birthday, but we want to
- 47:43Speaker 4: do a soft release, So I'm gonna give what Angela
- 47:46Speaker 4: and We're gonna do a soft release because when I
- 47:49Speaker 4: released it, I want Angela here to share with me
- 47:53Speaker 4: because she helped me through this everyone that helped me
- 47:59Speaker 4: through this time, I want them around me so I
- 48:01Speaker 4: can just hug on them and give them back to
- 48:04Speaker 4: love that.
- 48:05Speaker 1: They gave me. And you know, just be strong.
- 48:12Speaker 4: We're gonna have our moments, but don't stay there. And
- 48:16Speaker 4: that's what I had to learn, not to stay there.
- 48:21Speaker 4: But you guys just follow me and definitely don't forget
- 48:27Speaker 4: to come check me in Cornelle out on this Monday.
- 48:32Speaker 4: If you guys have family members that's incarcerated, please do
- 48:37Speaker 4: not give up on them no matter what, because you
- 48:40Speaker 4: guys don't really know what their experience behind the wall.
- 48:48Speaker 4: You don't really know until you actually sit down and
- 48:51Speaker 4: you hear it from them. Please don't give up on them.
- 48:57Speaker 4: Reach out to them. Just say that you love them.
- 48:59Speaker 4: You ain't got to go write a five page novel
- 49:03Speaker 4: or something. Just let them know that you love them.
- 49:07Speaker 4: Just let them know. And I'm very you know, boisterous
- 49:13Speaker 4: about that. You know, just just just love on your
- 49:17Speaker 4: the men and the women. We all fall sharp. That's
- 49:21Speaker 4: what the Bible says, we all fall sharp, and we
- 49:25Speaker 4: cannot judge one another. We cannot judge. So love on them,
- 49:32Speaker 4: pray for them that they get through it, because I
- 49:36Speaker 4: don't seen people are talked to men that's serving double life.
- 49:41Speaker 4: Sentisis and they're gonna tag on an extra sixty mm hmmm.
- 49:51Speaker 1: And that's what they do over sentence our people and
- 49:56Speaker 1: then try to keep them silent. But this is what
- 50:00Speaker 1: what we do. And Shannetta's been trying to bring light
- 50:02Speaker 1: to it. She's been trying to bring a voice to it,
- 50:04Speaker 1: so y'all can check her out every first and third
- 50:08Speaker 1: Monday her and her co host Cornell, and soon Cornell
- 50:12Speaker 1: will be on this side so that he can be
- 50:14Speaker 1: here to help her out more so again, I thank
- 50:17Speaker 1: you guys. Before I jump off, we have Milli Gross

- 50:38Speaker 1: We got twenty two more spots available because everybody get
- 50:42Speaker 1: an hour, and we have twenty four hours in a
- 50:45Speaker 1: day and we're going live for that whole twenty four hours,
- 50:50Speaker 1: so we need to fill those spots. If you're out
- 50:52Speaker 1: there and you have a story that you need amplified
- 50:56Speaker 1: and shared around the world, you may have a service
- 50:59Speaker 1: that can help on one that is going through domestic
- 51:02Speaker 1: violence or have been through domestic violence that they may
- 51:06Speaker 1: not know about. So if you have a service, you
- 51:09Speaker 1: have a podcast, whatever you have, if you want to
- 51:14Speaker 1: advertise it, if you want to come on and talk
- 51:17Speaker 1: about it, this is the perfect day to do it.

- 51:25Speaker 1: be sending out clips, clips, clips, clips, clips to all
- 51:30Speaker 1: of our platforms. So do not miss this opportunity to
- 51:34Speaker 1: allow your brand to be heard and seen. If you
- 51:39Speaker 1: are attached to domestic violence in any type of way,
- 51:42Speaker 1: as in a survivor as an advocate, however, you operate
- 51:47Speaker 1: and share your expertise on domestic violence. Because we know
- 51:51Speaker 1: that there are different levels of domestic violence, We know
- 51:54Speaker 1: that are different stages, and we know that it comes
- 51:57Speaker 1: in different ways. Men, women, all can be affected by
- 52:01Speaker 1: domestic violence. Black, white, green, purple, all can be affected
- 52:06Speaker 1: by domestic violence, y'all. So it does not have a size,
- 52:10Speaker 1: it does not have a shape. It can happen to anyone.
- 52:13Speaker 1: So we want to bring awareness to everyone. So if
- 52:18Speaker 1: you have a story, come share your story and allow
- 52:23Speaker 1: it to speak to someone because you never know what
