- 1:00Speaker 1: our special Christmas bonus edition. Marry Christmas, Michael.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Merry Christmas to you and for everyone who's listening.
- 1:05Speaker 1: It's been a really nice Christmas for me. This is
- 1:07Speaker 1: my first one where I run the air conditioner.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I bet you that's a bit different for you,
- 1:12Speaker 3: but running the air conditioner almost every year for me
- 1:15Speaker 3: is pretty typical.
- 1:17Speaker 1: I'm enjoying it very much. We have a lot to
- 1:19Speaker 1: talk about today.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Yeah, this bonus edition is really just going to be
- 1:24Speaker 3: about Ian Rodgers.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Yes, but before we talk about Ian and the truck,
- 1:29Speaker 1: we do want to let everyone know that we have
- 1:32Speaker 1: launched an Instagram page, so if you are on Instagram,
- 1:36Speaker 1: you can find us at Tragedy a True Time Podcast.
- 1:40Speaker 1: We'll be putting a lot of our images from today's episode,
- 1:44Speaker 1: some of our flyers from all of the cases that
- 1:47Speaker 1: we have covered, So come on and find us on Instagram.
- 1:51Speaker 2: All right, so let's talk about the truck. Now.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Everyone knows that we found the truck that's been in
- 1:56Speaker 3: the news. We've talked about it on the podcast already.
- 1:59Speaker 3: But one of the things that's interesting is there's a
- 2:01Speaker 3: lot of detail and a lot of I don't know, misdirection.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Are just things misunderstood about how the truck was found,
- 2:08Speaker 3: where it was found, circumstances around the truck that we
- 2:10Speaker 3: would just want to make a little bit more clear
- 2:12Speaker 3: for the listeners. The way I think this makes the
- 2:14Speaker 3: most sense to talk about is to start with the
- 2:16Speaker 3: initial piece of information that we have, and that's the ping,
- 2:19Speaker 3: the phone ping. And we know that you know, everyone
- 2:21Speaker 3: who's watched, you know, early listened to the story, they've
- 2:24Speaker 3: seen the video likely that Britain put out with depths
- 2:26Speaker 3: of history, so we know basically where he was and
- 2:29Speaker 3: that he was going off the ping, and we have
- 2:31Speaker 3: those coordinates and that has already been shared. And what
- 2:35Speaker 3: was interesting about where that's located at is you start
- 2:38Speaker 3: thinking about the circumference of where that where the accuracy
- 2:43Speaker 3: would really be. What we've learned here is PING accuracy
- 2:47Speaker 3: when it comes to, you know, triangling the phone percentage.
- 2:49Speaker 2: A phone position.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Really depends a lot whether or not you're in an urban,
- 2:53Speaker 3: suburban or rural area. And the statistics around the rural area,
- 2:58Speaker 3: it's between one and six miles is where you would
- 3:01Speaker 3: want to search if you only had one point of reference,
- 3:04Speaker 3: and as far as we know, that's all we had.
- 3:06Speaker 3: What's interesting about where the truck was found is it's
- 3:10Speaker 3: exactly one point eight three miles away from where that
- 3:14Speaker 3: NULM PING.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Is located at.
- 3:16Speaker 3: So it really makes me question how thoroughly things were
- 3:20Speaker 3: investigated or reviewed. And in reality, we were told they
- 3:24Speaker 3: were drones center, we were told there was even possibly
- 3:27Speaker 3: a helicopters went up, and with the truck being one
- 3:29Speaker 3: point eight three miles away, it's really difficult to believe
- 3:33Speaker 3: that actually occurred. And if it did occur, how thorough.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Was that search?
- 3:38Speaker 1: And to clarify, I believe you're talking about a search
- 3:41Speaker 1: that would have happened when the ping information was received
- 3:44Speaker 1: by law enforcement.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean when we talked about it before, we
- 3:48Speaker 3: kind of talked about, you know, why Britain was in
- 3:51Speaker 3: that area, what type of information he was following, And
- 3:54Speaker 3: it was the cell phone information that was received. I
- 3:57Speaker 3: think it was three months after his initial disappearance, and
- 4:00Speaker 3: that's what That's all we really had to go on
- 4:02Speaker 3: at the time.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Yes, and we do know that there was a delay
- 4:05Speaker 1: in getting that cell phone information. It should have actually
- 4:08Speaker 1: gotten into the hands of law enforcement much quicker. There
- 4:11Speaker 1: was some sort of issue, as we had discussed before
- 4:14Speaker 1: with the filing of the paperwork. So we're talking about
- 4:16Speaker 1: a delay and even getting this information. But now in
- 4:19Speaker 1: November they have this ping information and they should have
- 4:23Speaker 1: done a more comprehensive search.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Okay, now let's talk about why we think that there's
- 4:29Speaker 3: a lot of imagery we've been able to get our
- 4:31Speaker 3: hands on. It's available on the public internet. We're going
- 4:33Speaker 3: to provide links to that on our Facebook page, and
- 4:36Speaker 3: you'll be able to see very clearly Ian's truck. You'll
- 4:40Speaker 3: be able to see so well that you can even
- 4:42Speaker 3: tell the ladders are in the back of the truck.
- 4:45Speaker 3: That's how clear this image is, and based on what's
- 4:47Speaker 3: being built around it, you can tell that this image
- 4:51Speaker 3: was likely taken. We can't date it precisely, but it
- 4:53Speaker 3: was likely taken somewhere between the end of August and
- 4:57Speaker 3: the end of September. That's kind of the range that
- 5:00Speaker 3: we're seeing it based on a couple of piece of information,
- 5:02Speaker 3: one of which includes there's a certificate that we found.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Yes, there is a property being built out there, and
- 5:09Speaker 1: we learned that. I didn't know this, but when you
- 5:11Speaker 1: build a house, you have to follow all kinds of paperwork,
- 5:13Speaker 1: and one of them is called a certificate of commencement. Correct,
- 5:18Speaker 1: And we do know that the certificate of commencement was
- 5:22Speaker 1: issued in July of twenty twenty four to start a
- 5:27Speaker 1: build on a property that you can see in the
- 5:31Speaker 1: image of the truck. So we can tell.
- 5:34Speaker 3: What's not in the image of the truck, but it's nearby.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Sorry, you're right, it's not in the image on this website.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Once you find the truck, it's not really you can
- 5:40Speaker 1: take a screenshot. But also once you find the truck,
- 5:43Speaker 1: you can move around and see.
- 5:44Speaker 3: Different places, right, Yeah, and this will be clear on
- 5:47Speaker 3: the images that we provide on the Facebook page again.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Yes, and you can scroll then to try to find
- 5:52Speaker 1: a just if you're in that if you're from that area,
- 5:54Speaker 1: you can actually sort of see landmarkers and things that
- 5:57Speaker 1: look familiar to you. And that's where we can find plank.
- 6:00Speaker 1: But we also see this property where there is a
- 6:03Speaker 1: small like a trailer kind of thing, and this new
- 6:06Speaker 1: house that's going up, and so that's how we know
- 6:08Speaker 1: that this image was taken. Likely the truck has been
- 6:13Speaker 1: there since he disappeared or within three or four.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Weeks, correct. And there's some measurements here that become kind
- 6:20Speaker 3: of important, like law enforcement told us that this was
- 6:23Speaker 3: way off the beaten path, and I don't know if
- 6:26Speaker 3: I'm willing to use that as a definition, because when
- 6:29Speaker 3: you start doing measurements on this mapping this gis software,
- 6:31Speaker 3: what you're gonna find is the distance between like old
- 6:35Speaker 3: plank road and where the truck was found as the
- 6:37Speaker 3: crow flies, is point two to three miles, and if
- 6:40Speaker 3: you're walking, it's about I don't know, a point seven miles.
- 6:43Speaker 3: I'd go through to measure it precisely, but it's pretty
- 6:45Speaker 3: close to point seven miles. And if you look at
- 6:48Speaker 3: the ping and this is when it begets particularly interesting.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Just like I said before, it's one point eight three
- 6:53Speaker 3: miles and if you start talking about that aerial photography
- 6:56Speaker 3: and where they should have been searching, it's well within
- 6:59Speaker 3: the six mile range if it was really being searched.
- 7:03Speaker 3: And what's really also interesting about the image is it's
- 7:06Speaker 3: really clear in you know, I know we're looking at
- 7:10Speaker 3: it right now from a perspective of oh, we're looking
- 7:13Speaker 3: at from the air. We know what the interest taken.
- 7:15Speaker 3: But this thing sits out, sticks out like a sore thumb.
- 7:18Speaker 3: I mean, this is not difficult to find. It's very simple,
- 7:20Speaker 3: it's very clear, and it's just really also very unfortunate.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not in a covered area like off of
- 7:29Speaker 1: a road or a path like you it's very there
- 7:32Speaker 1: wouldn't be tree coverage at any time of the year,
- 7:34Speaker 1: because if we did think about that, you know, what
- 7:36Speaker 1: did tree coverage look like August versus February versus November,
- 7:40Speaker 1: different times of the year. But there is there wouldn't
- 7:43Speaker 1: be any tree coverage over where the truck has been
- 7:47Speaker 1: located for quite some time. So it's not like a
- 7:51Speaker 1: satellite would have gone by taken a picture, and it
- 7:53Speaker 1: would have been shrouded. It's going to be visible no
- 7:56Speaker 1: matter what time of year a picture is taken.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Something else that was notable about the image is since
- 8:03Speaker 3: you can clearly see the truck, you can also see
- 8:05Speaker 3: the orientation of the truck on the trail. And this trail,
- 8:08Speaker 3: this two rut road, I think we need probably call
- 8:10Speaker 3: it that because it's definitely you can tell vehicles go
- 8:12Speaker 3: up and down, even though interestingly enough, all the signage
- 8:16Speaker 3: in the area marks it as not open for any
- 8:22Speaker 3: kind of motorized vehicles. So anyway back to the point,
- 8:28Speaker 3: you can see the orientation the truck, and because of
- 8:30Speaker 3: that we can tell most likely where he came in from,
- 8:35Speaker 3: you know, the forest roads, and where he entered private property,
- 8:39Speaker 3: and where he was likely trying to get. Now we're
- 8:41Speaker 3: not sure why I chose that, especially once it started
- 8:44Speaker 3: to get soft, other than the fact that it's so narrow,
- 8:47Speaker 3: you can tell from the imagery that it most likely
- 8:49Speaker 3: would have been really difficult to turn around.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Yeah, it does look really lush in the satellite picture
- 8:56Speaker 1: and on that website that we've been using. And to me,
- 8:59Speaker 1: this is something that is new again for me, Like
- 9:01Speaker 1: when I think Florida. Like people who aren't from Florida,
- 9:03Speaker 1: I don't think about lush forest. That is definitely what
- 9:06Speaker 1: it looks like.
- 9:06Speaker 2: But there are.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Established roads and two wet roads. You're right, let's call
- 9:12Speaker 1: it the same. And it's easily to just backtrack, go
- 9:16Speaker 1: backwards from where we know the truck was, and you
- 9:19Speaker 1: can back it right out into more of those wider,
- 9:23Speaker 1: sort of light gravelly kind of roads and then right
- 9:27Speaker 1: on down into Old Plank State Forest.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Well, we'll be cole. You know, the people from Florida
- 9:30Speaker 3: are going to know that you're not finding gravelly roads
- 9:32Speaker 3: in that area.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Are they shells?
- 9:34Speaker 3: They're more likely going to be sandy roads or clay roads.
- 9:37Speaker 2: So let's be clear on that.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Yes, that's right. So what we believe happened is the
- 9:41Speaker 1: truck traveled downtram, turned onto old Plank, and then turned
- 9:45Speaker 1: left onto Plank Grade, which is into Old Plank State Forest,
- 9:48Speaker 1: and then likely turned left past a sign that says
- 9:52Speaker 1: no motorized vehicles, made another left onto private property, continued
- 9:58Speaker 1: around kind of heading back towards it's old plank, but
- 10:01Speaker 1: then got stuck in the process of all that.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Okay, so now let's get into like Where did this
- 10:06Speaker 3: image come from? We already talked about it come from
- 10:08Speaker 3: the public Internet. And one of the ways we were
- 10:10Speaker 3: able to try to figure out where we should start
- 10:12Speaker 3: looking is when we watched the news report. Since we're
- 10:16Speaker 3: familiar with the area, we could tell precisely where the
- 10:19Speaker 3: original search that law enforcement is making on this day
- 10:23Speaker 3: was happening. So once we were able to figure out
- 10:25Speaker 3: that they're not going to get on ATVs, you know,
- 10:28Speaker 3: six ten miles away from this thing, they're going to
- 10:30Speaker 3: get it close to possible. So with those two reference points,
- 10:33Speaker 3: we were able to kind of triangulate where we should
- 10:35Speaker 3: be looking, and that's when we were able to find
- 10:37Speaker 3: this energy m hm.
- 10:39Speaker 1: And you're right, it wasn't very challenging. It was a
- 10:42Speaker 1: pretty easily to find spot, like right off of old
- 10:46Speaker 1: Plank where they were launching the searches. So that piece
- 10:49Speaker 1: of information, also, I think, in conjunction with where the
- 10:52Speaker 1: cell phone ping happened, really approximated where we started to
- 10:55Speaker 1: use Google Earth and other satellite imagery websites to locate
- 11:00Speaker 1: the precise location of the truck.
- 11:03Speaker 3: All right, now, let's talk about the actual terrain in
- 11:05Speaker 3: the area. We had an associate go out and kind
- 11:07Speaker 3: of check out the area and kind of get give
- 11:09Speaker 3: us an idea of what it looked like on the ground.
- 11:12Speaker 3: And one of the things that they indicated was how
- 11:15Speaker 3: dense the vegetation was around most of these areas. And
- 11:20Speaker 3: so the conclusion we drew from that was the fact
- 11:22Speaker 3: that assuming Ian was in the truck, we have to
- 11:26Speaker 3: make that assumption and the truck got stuck in that area,
- 11:29Speaker 3: it's unlikely that he would have gotten out and then
- 11:32Speaker 3: went off road at this point or off trail, because
- 11:35Speaker 3: it was so dense and came mind, we're talking about August,
- 11:37Speaker 3: so it'd be even denser than the time this person
- 11:40Speaker 3: was out there, as well as more riddled with snakes
- 11:43Speaker 3: and all kinds of other things. I wouldn't have wanted
- 11:45Speaker 3: to get into this really, really heavy stuff if I
- 11:48Speaker 3: had an option of other trails and other opportunities. And
- 11:51Speaker 3: what's interesting about that is he had lots of opportunities
- 11:54Speaker 3: that he could have gone directly forward and it would
- 11:56Speaker 3: have led him to old Plank Road. He could have
- 11:58Speaker 3: gone directly back, would have just backtracked from the place
- 12:01Speaker 3: he had already been and was notably less covered in
- 12:04Speaker 3: vegetation and easy to get out of even though it
- 12:06Speaker 3: would have been a longer walk. So there's a lot
- 12:09Speaker 3: of questions on is this an area that you could
- 12:12Speaker 3: become easily lost, and we're just not convinced that that's
- 12:17Speaker 3: the case. It doesn't seem like you could get lost
- 12:19Speaker 3: here when you factor those types of details in.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Yeah, we also understand that the walk from Old Plank
- 12:26Speaker 1: Road to the truck location is less than a mile,
- 12:30Speaker 1: and that's following the two ret road, which you can
- 12:33Speaker 1: see on the Google maps. So you're going a little
- 12:35Speaker 1: bit around this sort of circle landmark area, but it's
- 12:40Speaker 1: not far. So I can see that if someone got stuck,
- 12:44Speaker 1: they would just go forward.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Right.
- 12:46Speaker 1: I have a really good sense of direction, and so
- 12:49Speaker 1: I could probably speculate if I were standing at the
- 12:52Speaker 1: spot and I had gotten stuck in this truck, I
- 12:55Speaker 1: know I'm almost out, so I'm just going to go
- 12:57Speaker 1: ahead and go forward again. It's also, you know, summer, right,
- 13:00Speaker 1: we don't necessarily know exactly what time this is. There's
- 13:03Speaker 1: a possibility the sun was starting to go down, which
- 13:05Speaker 1: is also an indicator of directionality, so someone is probably
- 13:09Speaker 1: likely to walk out forward. And we also understand that
- 13:12Speaker 1: you don't have to walk too far to then hear
- 13:15Speaker 1: the traffic on the road.
- 13:17Speaker 3: Yeah, let's and let's keep in mind too, let's make
- 13:19Speaker 3: the assumption that he was walking along these roads. And
- 13:22Speaker 3: let's even make another assumption that you know, he was
- 13:25Speaker 3: let's say under the influencer, you know, some kind of
- 13:27Speaker 3: detail like that, because we still haven't really talked about
- 13:29Speaker 3: why he was in this area. And let's say that
- 13:32Speaker 3: he died, Let's say he died getting out, maybe odeed
- 13:34Speaker 3: or anything like that, he would have been found on
- 13:37Speaker 3: this two rough road. There'd be some kind of indication
- 13:39Speaker 3: of that, and that's just not the case.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Yeah, or leave a phone or keys or something. We
- 13:48Speaker 1: do know that there have been two days of searching
- 13:51Speaker 1: and to our knowledge, nothing was found. No phone, no keys,
- 13:54Speaker 1: no clothes, no sunglasses, we know he had sunglasses, no hat, nothing.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Yeah, we have the indication at this point.
- 13:59Speaker 3: And let's they're holding back, which is possible that absolutely
- 14:02Speaker 3: zero evidence was found in the area of the truck
- 14:05Speaker 3: once it was located by law enforcement.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Correct, So nothing in the truck indicating foul play, which
- 14:10Speaker 1: I read on one of the news reports, and nothing
- 14:12Speaker 1: around the truck or end, nothing on the roads forward
- 14:16Speaker 1: from the truck, or behind the truck or in this
- 14:19Speaker 1: one thousand feet search radius that would happen. We have
- 14:23Speaker 1: not heard of anything that has been collected as evidentiary.
- 14:27Speaker 1: We've collected a lot of information about the location of
- 14:29Speaker 1: this truck. So the question is, how does this help
- 14:32Speaker 1: us to support Teresa and her search to find out
- 14:35Speaker 1: what happened to Ian.
- 14:36Speaker 3: Well, I would say now that we have this information,
- 14:39Speaker 3: this additional information, there's a lot of speculation that we've
- 14:42Speaker 3: talked about in the past being lost in the woods
- 14:44Speaker 3: and maybe dying the woods, getting you know, just not
- 14:46Speaker 3: being able to find its way out. Looking at the maps,
- 14:48Speaker 3: understanding of the truck is, understanding the terrain, There's just
- 14:52Speaker 3: no way.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Feasibly that he would have been lost in the woods.
- 14:55Speaker 3: And if anything, this actually supports a little bit law
- 14:58Speaker 3: enforcement not continuing the search on you know, longer than
- 15:01Speaker 3: they did this time, because I think it's pretty clear
- 15:05Speaker 3: that he's not there when you consider there all these factors,
- 15:07Speaker 3: and I think that's part of their decision making. Now,
- 15:09Speaker 3: what's also part of the decision making was they chose
- 15:12Speaker 3: not to search this area to start with. And I
- 15:14Speaker 3: would say that's I don't know embarrassing. I think it's
- 15:16Speaker 3: pretty embarrassing when you consider all facts.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Yeah, we can conclusively say that that cell phone ping
- 15:21Speaker 1: information was received at the latest the end of November,
- 15:26Speaker 1: and we can conclusively say that that truck has been here,
- 15:30Speaker 1: been in that spot since September likely August twenty sixth,
- 15:34Speaker 1: and how close the actual truck is to that ping
- 15:39Speaker 1: and not finding that truck in November when they got
- 15:43Speaker 1: that geolocation information is a travesty.
- 15:47Speaker 3: Yeah, And it's so I know, people in the community
- 15:49Speaker 3: are pretty upset that how this case has been handled,
- 15:51Speaker 3: and I think they have the right to be upset.
- 15:53Speaker 3: One of the concerns that I always have and we
- 15:56Speaker 3: when we tell these stories, and that we keep seeing
- 15:59Speaker 3: over and over is various people being marginalized. And I
- 16:04Speaker 3: personally think, based on just the poor performance of law
- 16:07Speaker 3: enforcement here that Ian Rodgers was marginalized. And you know,
- 16:11Speaker 3: I think even if, again we said in the past
- 16:13Speaker 3: in other episodes, where even if people have made mistakes,
- 16:16Speaker 3: even if they you know, have done things in their
- 16:19Speaker 3: past that aren't necessarily things that we consider great or
- 16:22Speaker 3: good at all, even things that have been harmful to themselves,
- 16:26Speaker 3: it doesn't change the fact that this is person that
- 16:29Speaker 3: has a family, has family, has friends, have associates that
- 16:33Speaker 3: care about him and miss.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Him, and what they They won't know what happened.
- 16:36Speaker 3: They won't know where he is, what happened, if he's
- 16:39Speaker 3: still alive, if he's if he's if he's not alive anymore.
- 16:42Speaker 3: They they have the right to know where their friend is.
- 16:45Speaker 1: And last to remember that there wasn't a time frame
- 16:49Speaker 1: between when people sort of thought maybe Ian was gone
- 16:52Speaker 1: and when he was officially called in by Teresa as missing.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Sometimes in cases like this, several days go by or
- 17:00Speaker 1: even weeks before someone will call in and say they're
- 17:03Speaker 1: missing their loved one. That's not what happened here. It
- 17:06Speaker 1: was the day, like the day that he didn't show
- 17:08Speaker 1: up to work, that his boss went to Teresa's house
- 17:11Speaker 1: and she put this in motion. So this is no
- 17:14Speaker 1: fault of the family, because I have seen stories like
- 17:16Speaker 1: this where people will point fingers at the family because
- 17:18Speaker 1: while they didn't call it in soon enough or whatever,
- 17:21Speaker 1: that's not what's happening here. This family did everything that
- 17:24Speaker 1: they could in the immediacy of Ian not being at
- 17:27Speaker 1: work that day and not coming home that night, and
- 17:30Speaker 1: they were not supported in our opinion, in the way
- 17:34Speaker 1: they should be by law enforcement. Let's talk about a
- 17:36Speaker 1: call to action. So in the past we've talked about
- 17:39Speaker 1: a call to action to the community, what do we
- 17:40Speaker 1: need from the community, and a call to action to
- 17:42Speaker 1: law enforcement. I'm just going to straight out say the
- 17:45Speaker 1: community is doing a great job, fantastic job. Yes. I
- 17:49Speaker 1: follow all of the WCTV posts about Ian's disappearance, all
- 17:55Speaker 1: of the WTXL posts, and all other news agency and
- 18:01Speaker 1: let me tell you what's happening down here in Walcala County.
- 18:04Speaker 1: People are questioning and commenting on what law enforcement has
- 18:08Speaker 1: been doing all over these pages. You know, they'll be
- 18:12Speaker 1: a post about Ian's truck being found, and people will say,
- 18:15Speaker 1: what do you mean so many months later? What is
- 18:17Speaker 1: going on? Why is this taking so long? Or hey, also,
- 18:22Speaker 1: can we please solve Jody Kilgore's homicide. So people here
- 18:27Speaker 1: in Wacola County are taking note and starting to and
- 18:31Speaker 1: may have always been on board, and I'm just recognizing
- 18:33Speaker 1: it more. Something else that kind of funny happened is
- 18:37Speaker 1: there was a Facebook post. I think it was supposed
- 18:40Speaker 1: to be sort of you know, in just sort of
- 18:43Speaker 1: ENLiGHT and it was an article about the shoe bandit
- 18:46Speaker 1: and you know who's the shoe bandit and who's taken
- 18:48Speaker 1: all these shoes? And there were several people who are like,
- 18:50Speaker 1: are we kidding? Like this is what the Wacolla County
- 18:53Speaker 1: Shri's office is doing. They're trying to find the shoe bandit.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Why don't they find what happened to Ian? Why don't
- 18:58Speaker 1: they figure out who killed Joe Kilgore? Turns out it's
- 19:01Speaker 1: a dog, right, So I get it, Like they thought
- 19:03Speaker 1: it was kind of funny, But people here they don't
- 19:05Speaker 1: think it's funny anymore.
- 19:06Speaker 2: They're not laughing, No, they are not.
- 19:09Speaker 1: So I just want to personally thank people in the
- 19:13Speaker 1: community and the neighboring communities who are on board with
- 19:18Speaker 1: us and calling out law enforcement and just asking for
- 19:23Speaker 1: them to just do a little better, Please do a
- 19:26Speaker 1: little better. Also, I have a concern with the amount
- 19:31Speaker 1: of communication that is coming to Ian's family. In particular,
- 19:35Speaker 1: it does feel like his mom, Teresa, is not necessarily
- 19:39Speaker 1: getting information in the way that we would like it to.
- 19:42Speaker 1: It seems like it's coming secondhand to her going through
- 19:46Speaker 1: someone else who frankly isn't even blood related to Ian.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Teresa is his next of kin, and we would just
- 19:52Speaker 1: like to know why she isn't the first to know
- 19:54Speaker 1: when these things are happening, and she's getting information from
- 19:57Speaker 1: someone else. So I would just like to specific fully
- 20:00Speaker 1: call out the well called Karen Sheriff's office and say,
- 20:02Speaker 1: can you please reach out to Teresa first? She is
- 20:05Speaker 1: his next of kin. You've been listening to Tragedy a
