Carolina Softball just landed a major offseason upgrade with the hiring of Laurin Watts as their new pitching coach — and head coach Megan Smith Lyon called it the key move. Watts brings a proven track record, most recently leading Southern Illinois to elite pitching stats in the Missouri Valley Conference, including a 2.91 ERA in 2026 and two All-Conference pitchers.
