From last time. You nailed it. Today, we're tackling something new: the months of the year. Luna: Ohh, months! That's useful. I always forget the Dutch names. Lucas: We'll start easy. Let's say the first three. Repeat after me: januari. Luna: Januari. Lucas: Exactly. Februari. Luna: Februari. Lucas: Maart. Luna: Maart. That one sounds pretty similar to English. Lucas: It does. Now let's hear them together: januari, februari, maart. Luna: Januari, februari, maart. Good. Lucas: Perfect. Now the next three: april. Luna: April. Lucas: Mei. Luna: Mei. Lucas: Juni. Luna: Juni. So april and juni are almost like English. Lucas: Exactly. Now say all six from the start: januari, februari, maart, april, mei, juni. Luna: Januari, februari, maart, april, mei, juni. Lucas: There you go. Now let's continue with juli. Luna: Juli. Lucas: Augustus. Luna: Augustus. That one's a bit longer. Lucas: September. Luna: September. Lucas: Now the last three: oktober. Luna: Oktober. Lucas: November. Luna: November. Lucas: December. Luna: December. That one is almost the same. Lucas: Right. Now let's do the full list. I'll start, you repeat. Januari. Luna: Januari. Now let's put them into a sentence. Say: 'Mijn verjaardag is in...' which means 'My birthday is in...' then add a month. For example, 'Mijn verjaardag is in mei.' Luna: Mijn verjaardag is in mei. That's my birthday actually! When is yours? Lucas: Mijn verjaardag is in december. So I say: Mijn verjaardag is in december. Luna: Mijn verjaardag is in december. Nice, so you get presents at the end of the year. Lucas: Exactly. Now a question: 'Welke maand is het?' — 'Which month is it?' Let's practice. Welke maand is het? Luna: Welke maand is het? Lucas: Good. Now I'll ask you, and you answer with the current month. Welke maand is het? Luna: Uhh... Let me think. We're recording in... I think it's... Is it november? Or oktober? Hold on. Lucas: No rush. What month do you think? Luna: I'll say oktober. So: Het is oktober. Lucas: Perfect! Het is oktober. You can also just say 'Oktober.' But the full sentence is nice. Luna: Okay.
