- 0:05The events that took place on that weekend in the eighty- four are things
- 0:10that are still haunting me today. Sometimes, when I remember, I try
- 0:15to put in place some known wolf or animal. However, I cannot deceive
- 0:20myself. What I saw that day with my partner was a being that I
- 0:24have only seen again in my nightmares since the moment we arrived in the forest.
- 0:30I knew this would be a challenge. My partner had always had an
- 0:34unbridled passion for camping in remote places. Despite my negatives and my lack of
- 0:40experience in nature, I had planned this getaway to try to fix things between
- 0:45us. Tensions had been growing in our relationship for months and we both felt
- 0:53that we needed a change of scenery to reconnect my partner. I thought nature
- 0:58was the answer, so I tried to keep an open mind and embraced the
- 1:03idea of spending a weekend in nature. But deep down, the idea of
- 1:07getting away from civilization terrified me. My partner. On the other hand,
- 1:14it was an experienced camper who had camped practically from the cradle, as it
- 1:19was his father' s favorite pastime, so he loved the idea of taking
- 1:23me to a little- known place. He had selected a remote corner of
- 1:29the forest that was off the radar of most hikers. It was a quiet
- 1:34and serene place, but its isolation made it even more disturbing for someone like
- 1:40me. While we were on our way to the woods. My partner told
- 1:44me that this place was famous in the region because stories were told about a
- 1:48good saying. Intrigued by the term, I asked him what a good beam
- 1:53was and why the forest was associated with that name. He explained to me
- 1:59that the good one was a figure of the mythology of some Native American tribes,
- 2:05especially in North America. According to legends, the good saying was a
- 2:08creepy, malevolent creature that lived in the cold, remote forests. He was
- 2:14described as a human being who had been corrupted by greed and cannibalism, becoming
- 2:20a voracious entity. The good saying had a frightening appearance. Her skin was
- 2:27stretched to the point of translucentity. His eyes were hollow and empty and his
- 2:31claws were sharpened like blades. It was said that he was always hungry and
- 2:37fed on human flesh. His curse did not condemn an insatiable desire for human
- 2:43flesh and his mere presence brought evil auguries. When he finished telling me the
- 2:49story, he laughed and said it was just nonsense stories from local villages to
- 2:54attract tourists. I didn' t believe in those old superstitions and myths,
- 3:00but as we went deeper into the forest, I began to question whether the
- 3:05stories about good saying were as unfounded as my partner said. The first day
- 3:10of our camp passed smoothly. We set up the tent, lit a campfire
- 3:16and shared stories and laughter it seemed like things were getting better between us and
- 3:23I realized that maybe this getaway had been the best decision we' d ever
- 3:28made. We spent the afternoon exploring the surroundings and enjoying the natural beauty of
- 3:34the place. However, as the evening and the light of day progressed,
- 3:38a sense of restlessness came to grips with me in the dark of the night.
- 3:44My partner insisted that we sleep outdoors that night to enjoy the stars and
- 3:47the cool breeze of the forest. Although I hesitated for a moment, I
- 3:53finally agreed. Trying to show enthusiasm for this new experience. We curled up
- 4:00in our sleeping bags under a starry sky. The shadows of the forest seemed
- 4:05to come to life in the dark but the silence was so deep that I
- 4:10could hear my own breath. My partner fell asleep quickly, but I was
- 4:15still awake, feeling something was not right. But finally tiredness beat me in
- 4:21the middle of the night. I woke up with the urge to urinate.
- 4:25I left the store, trying to be as quiet as possible not to wake
- 4:30up my partner. I went into the darkness wishing the moon would light up
- 4:34my way. But instead of relief, what I found was something much more
- 4:39sinister. As I got away a disgusting smell began to fill my senses.
- 4:46It was a rotting edor that made me step back. The smell was unbearable,
- 4:50a nauseating mixture of rot and what seemed to be sulfur. My throat
- 4:55squeezed as they tried not to vomit, the, the, the, the,
- 5:00The darkness of the forest was impenetrable and only the moon faintly lit up
- 5:04some corners, But what scared me the most were the two bright spots that
- 5:10appeared in the middle of the darkness. It was eyes, or at least
- 5:12that looked like a pair of eyes that seemed to stare at me. My
- 5:16mind immediately sought a logical explanation. Perhaps it was an animal, a wolf
- 5:23or a fox, but these eyes did not look like the eyes of a
- 5:28common animal. They were intense, inhuman and seemed to burn with a supernatural
- 5:32light. A chill ran through my back as I tried to discern what kind
- 5:39of creature I could have eyes. So, I chose not to take it
- 5:44seriously by trying to convince myself that my imagination was playing me a bad game.
- 5:47It could be an owl or some other nocturnal animal. Anyway, I
- 5:51needed to get back to the store before my partner woke up and noticed my
- 5:57absence. I walked back quickly, but the unpleasant smell and eyes kept chasing
- 6:02me. When I arrived, I woke up my partner and told him what
- 6:08I had experienced. At first he seemed surprised, but quickly he told me
- 6:13not to worry too much, that he was probably just a curious animal.
- 6:18Despite his reassuring words, I couldn' t help but feel uncomfortable. The
- 6:24sense of being observed persisted and the disgusting smell was still in the air.
- 6:29He tried to comfort me by telling me that the mind could play tricks in
- 6:33the dark and that eventually I would relax even in my partner. He advised
- 6:38that it would be best to enter the store. If this made me feel
- 6:43safer, which I accepted, I tried to ignore my fears and tried to
- 6:47fall asleep again. As the night progressed, I stared at the roof of
- 6:53the tent, listening to the nocturnal sounds of the forest. The wind whispered
- 6:59between the trees and the crickets. They sang their song, but from time
- 7:01to time an unusual noise interrupted the harmony of the night, they were whispers,
- 7:10indecipherable whispers, mixed with the wind. They almost sounded like distant voices,
- 7:14but I couldn' t understand what they were saying. The restlessness took
- 7:17hold of me again and I realized that this getaway was beginning to appear in
- 7:21a nightmare. The dawn finally arrived and the night of restlessness was left behind.
- 7:28My partner and I talked about the incident and decided that, although disturbing,
- 7:32we should not let it ruin our weekend. We decided to explore the
- 7:38forest during the day and enjoy the natural beauty around us. During the day,
- 7:44the forest seemed much less threatening. We strolled along trails surrounded by majestic
- 7:49trees and discovered small streams and waterfalls. The beauty of the place began to
- 7:55dispel my fears and I began to relax. The second night was coming and
- 8:00my partner insisted that we sleep outdoors. Again grudgingly. I accepted, but
- 8:07this time my restlessness did not easily dissipate every creak of a branch or whisper
- 8:11of the wind seemed to carry with it an unfathomable mystery. While we were
- 8:18at the store, my partner noticed my anxiety and hugged me to try to
- 8:22calm me down. Despite his efforts, he could not help but feel that
- 8:26something was wrong. The whispers, which I had heard the night before,
- 8:31tormented my mind again, although this time they seemed clearer as if they were
- 8:35closer. My partner fell asleep, but I was still awake, tormented by
- 8:41fear. I heard the whispers clearly now, like a chorus of whispering voices
- 8:48in some unknown language. Words crawled into my mind unintelligible but disturbing. Suddenly,
- 8:56the whispers turned into a nearer murmur, something approached us, something I
- 9:01could not see. My heart was beating wildly as I tried to discern the
- 9:07source of those disturbing noises. I felt as if the Presence were getting closer
- 9:13and closer. It was then that I saw the eyes again, the same
- 9:18inhuman and bright eyes I had seen the night before. This time they were
- 9:22closer and the feeling of panic paralyzed me. The eyes stared at me as
- 9:28if they were watching me from the shadows. I screamed and shook my partner
- 9:33to wake him up, but when he opened his eyes and looked his eyes
- 9:37were gone. I told him what I had seen, but he simply attributed
- 9:43my experience to nightmares without nervousness. He assured me that we were safe and
- 9:46that I had to calm down I tried to convince myself that my mind was
- 9:54cheating on me again, but fear persisted. My partner finally got me to
- 9:56relax enough to sleep, but I couldn' t help but wake up with
- 10:01every strange sound I heard. When the sun began to shine back, the
- 10:05calm returned to me a calmness that completely dissipated when I saw a strange footprints
- 10:11very close to us, so I immediately woke up my partner to see that
- 10:16really upset him, as it was as if something or someone had just stood
- 10:20there watching us, for I don' t know how long a palpable tension
- 10:26hung in the air. My partner and I exchanged worried looks and we knew
- 10:33something strange was happening in this forest. We decided it was time to pack
- 10:39up and return to civilization, but we found an unexpected obstacle. When we
- 10:46tried to get back along the path we had followed to get to the forest,
- 10:50we realized that we were lost. The forest seemed to have changed during
- 10:54the night and all the roads looked the same. We tried to use a
- 10:58compass and a map, but nothing seemed to fit. The feeling of being
- 11:03trapped took hold of us as we wandered through the forest unable to find a
- 11:09way out. Every time we tried to return, the forest seemed to redirect
- 11:15us to an unknown place. As the day progressed, our situation worsened.
- 11:20The whispers in the forest had become more audible as if the voices were around
- 11:26us. We began to feel constantly observed and the feeling that something was stalking
- 11:31us became more intense. My partner and I discussed what to do. Then
- 11:37we were exhausted, scared and lost in a seemingly endless forest. Our attempts
- 11:45to find a way out seemed useless. It was at that moment that we
- 11:50heard a terrifying sound that frozen our blood. A long, chilling howl different
- 11:56from any known animal echoed in the forest. It was a howl of pain
- 12:03and I regret as if the forest itself wept. My partner and I hugged
- 12:07each other with force shaking with fear as the howlings continued. It was evident
- 12:13that something sinister was lurking in the shadows. We decided to seek refuge in
- 12:18a cave, which we found on a hill. It was our last hope
- 12:22to protect ourselves from whatever was stalking us. We entered the dark cavern,
- 12:28lit a flashlight and waited in silence, trying to contain the fear that invaded
- 12:33us. The hours passed and the howls finally stopped, but the whispers continued.
- 12:39They were like voices trapped in the cave surrounding us. My partner and
- 12:45I looked at each other if their expression of fear and confusion reflected mine.
- 12:48We didn' t understand what was happening in this cursed place. The night
- 12:54fell again and the cave became a sleepy gloomy refuge. It was impossible and
- 12:58I knew that the whispers persisted. When we tried to communicate with the outside
- 13:05through our mobile phones, we discovered that they still had no signal. We
- 13:09were completely isolated. Our despair reached a critical point. My partner and I
- 13:16knew we had to do something to escape this forest before it was too late.
- 13:22We planned to leave the cave at dawn and try to find a way,
- 13:26any way that would take us back to civilization. It was a tough
- 13:33night, but we got through it and we were ready to walk back.
- 13:37We did not know how long we had been lost in the forest, but
- 13:43despair and fear took over us. We tried to scream for help, but
- 13:48our voices were lost in the vastness of the forest. We had become prisoners
- 13:52of nature, trapped in a place we did not understand. My partner tried
- 13:58to calm me down by telling me everything would be fine. We just needed
- 14:03to get a little better. While trying to make the compass work again,
- 14:09the nauseating smell flooded our noses again. At the same time, a deep
- 14:13fear began to invade us both. That' s when I heard a terrifying
- 14:20sound behind me. Instinctively we turned to meet a creature that seemed to emerge
- 14:26from hell itself. This figure was mostly humanoid, but extremely thin. It
- 14:33seemed to be only skin and bones, without any trace of fat or flesh
- 14:39had no ears and his face was deformed without a nose. The scariest thing
- 14:43was the asses sticking out of his head, similar to a deer' s.
- 14:48The creature, with eyes devoid of life and a twisted body stood on
- 14:54two legs, looking at us with unfathomable malevolence. His skin was pale and
- 14:58trans lucid and it seemed that we could see the bones under his teeth sharp
- 15:05as blades, were exposed in a grotesque grimace. As he grunted and swung
- 15:09towards me. I tried to pull the creature away, but despite its thin
- 15:16appearance it was incredibly strong. Her claws clung to my clothes and her mouth
- 15:20was about to reach my panicked face. My partner picked up a rock from
- 15:28the ground and threw it straight into the head of the creature. The impact
- 15:31was enough for him to step aside and let go. The creature staggered a
- 15:37few steps as it emitted a grunt of dark blood. It began to flow
- 15:43from the wound on his head, but he seemed painless. His eyes,
- 15:48injected into hatred, were still nailed to us with a desperate effort. My
- 15:54partner and I took the opportunity to escape and ran through the forest, ignoring
- 15:58the thorny bushes and branches that scraped our skins. The forest seemed twisted as
- 16:06if trying to keep us trapped, but we finally managed to find a way
- 16:11out. We came to the edge of the forest breathing agitally and went into
- 16:17an open clearing. The sun rose on the horizon dissipating the shadows of the
- 16:22forest. We looked back and saw that the creature had not continued to chase
- 16:26us. We went further into the clearing away from the cursed forest. We
- 16:33breathed with relief, but the terror of what we had faced still seized us.
- 16:37We decided not to talk about it, as if mentioning it could bring
- 16:41back the nightmare. Finally, after hours of walking, we found a road
- 16:48and were able to stop a friendly driver who took us back to civilization.
- 16:52We looked at each other without words, knowing that we shared an experience that
- 16:59we could not be r at the moment when we felt safe. The relief
- 17:03was overwhelming however, my joy was tarnished by a sharp pain in my hand.
- 17:10I looked down and was horrified to see that two of my fingers had
- 17:14disappeared. The creature had plucked two of my fingers with its sharp teeth.
- 17:18During our confrontation, my partner was also injured with scratches and bruises throughout his
- 17:26body. We looked at each other scared and wounded and knew that we had
- 17:33survived a nightmare that we could never forget. We knew we had to tell
- 17:37our version of the story, which was beyond what the mind could understand.
- 17:42They took us to a nearby hospital where they treated our wounds. While we
- 17:48waited. We spoke to a police officer who arrived to take our testimony.
- 17:52The unbelief in his eyes was evident, but his words led us to understand
- 17:57that we were not alone in having faced something frightening in that forest. There
- 18:03were reports of unexplained disappearances and mysterious events in the same area we had been.
- 18:11We shared our experience with local authorities and people in the area, but
- 18:15no one believed us. They looked at us with skepticism and told us that
- 18:21we had probably run into some wild animal in the forest and the choc of
- 18:25the moment had made us believe in things that were not real. We felt
- 18:30lonely and desperate as we tried to explain the inexplicable. The people of the
- 18:34city considered us crazy or, at best, victims of a collective illusion,
- 18:38but we knew the truth. We had faced something unnameable in that forest and
- 18:48had returned with physical and emotional scars that would remind us forever that reality is
- 18:52much stranger and darker than we think. My partner and I, despite n
- 18:59n n n s tra relationship, had cracked even more. After that traumatic
- 19:03experience, we find comfort in each other. We knew that even if no
- 19:08one else believed our story, at least we had someone to share it with.
- 19:14We never did the same again. After that experience, our memories of
- 19:18that nightmare would haunt us for life. Sometimes in the middle of the night.
- 19:23We could still hear the whispers and feel the look of the bright eyes
- 19:27in the shadows. Over the years we continue to live in fear that the
- 19:33forest and the creature we had found could return to torment us. Every time
- 19:38we saw bright shadows in the dark, our hearts accelerated and our minds filled
- 19:45with horror. Despite the rational explanations and skepticism of those around us, we
- 19:51were never able to take the image of the creature, the forest, its
- 19:56empty eyes and its thirst for human flesh from our heads forever, reminding us
- 20:00that the world is full of unfathomable mysteries that escape human understanding. Anonymous account
