Latest / V / Rachel Maddow Says Lord Of The Rings Is 'Far Right' Favorite (Ep. 04)
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Good morning and welcome to Bongina Report Early Edition. I
- 0:03Speaker 1: am your host, Avita, and we are here at the
- 0:05Speaker 1: RNC in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Just so you know, everything that
- 0:09Speaker 1: I cover here, you can find on BonginaReport.com if you.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Want to read and learn more. Some more.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Time magazine has changed its August cover of the iconic
- 0:20Speaker 1: Trump photo to please Democrats.
- 0:22Speaker 2: That's going to be topic one.
- 0:23Speaker 1: NBC is deeply disturbed by Republicans calling for mass deportations.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Rachel Maddow claims Lord of the Rings is a favorite
- 0:30Speaker 1: of the far right. Biden forgets Secretary of Defense Lloyd
- 0:34Speaker 1: Austin's name. Joy Reid is making an utter fool out
- 0:37Speaker 1: of herself this entire conference. We're going to cover a
- 0:40Speaker 1: few times. She looks like an absolute idiot. And lastly,
- 0:44Speaker 1: a seven-year-old got punished by her school for saying all
- 0:48Speaker 1: lives matter. All of this on Bundy to report early edition. Okay,
- 1:03Speaker 1: so Time Magazine changed its iconic Trump cover photo for
- 1:08Speaker 1: its August issue, and people are speculating why. Let's pull
- 1:12Speaker 1: up the side-by-side so you can see what it was
- 1:14Speaker 1: before and after.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Do we have that?
- 1:18Speaker 1: Okay, so you see there's Trump with his fist in
- 1:20Speaker 1: the air. There's blood on his face. You have the
- 1:22Speaker 1: American flag in the background. Then they change it to
- 1:26Speaker 1: this really somber black-and-white photo.
- 1:29Speaker 2: No Trump. What unites us, I think it says.
- 1:32Speaker 1: And people are speculating, end of wokeness speculating, why did
- 1:35Speaker 1: Time change the cover? And it's pretty simple because it
- 1:40Speaker 1: made Trump look good. And Democrats know that. And as
- 1:43Speaker 1: Dan always says, campaigns are snapshots and soundbites. And this
- 1:47Speaker 1: is a great snapshot of Trump. And they don't want
- 1:51Speaker 1: regular Americans to be seeing it because they know that
- 1:54Speaker 1: it is harmful to Democrats and their electoral chances in November. Now,
- 1:59Speaker 1: it's not just Time magazine. This is from Fox News.
- 2:03Speaker 1: They say an Axios Media Trend assessment on Tuesday argued
- 2:08Speaker 1: that the quote overuse of the iconic image can pose risks,
- 2:13Speaker 1: citing unnamed photographers who reportedly told the outlet that promoting
- 2:16Speaker 1: the viral photos could be a form of photo ganda
- 2:20Speaker 1: because the Trump campaign will use them to quote further
- 2:23Speaker 1: its agenda.
- 2:25Speaker 2: So is this I mean, this is just silliness.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Right.
- 2:27Speaker 1: And the irony of it should be so apparent. They're
- 2:31Speaker 1: saying they don't want to promote Trump propaganda. But by
- 2:34Speaker 1: censoring the Trump photo and refusing to show it in
- 2:38Speaker 1: their reporting, they are acting as propagandists for the Democrats.
- 2:43Speaker 1: So completely be clowning themselves in this statement. And so
- 2:47Speaker 1: just be sure to save the Trump photo. Who knows
- 2:50Speaker 1: if it'll get banned by the left wing media eventually, right?
- 2:53Speaker 1: They hate things that are harmful to their own political
- 2:58Speaker 1: aims and they will stop at nothing to assert themselves
- 3:02Speaker 1: and to control what we see, what we hear, what
- 3:04Speaker 1: we think ultimately. Also note that The people who want
- 3:08Speaker 1: this Trump photo scrubbed are the ones who have this
- 3:12Speaker 1: idea that Republicans are propagandists and they need to be
- 3:16Speaker 1: censored for their mis- and disinformation online. These, of course,
- 3:19Speaker 1: are the most pervasive mis- and disinformationists in the entire country, right?
- 3:26Speaker 1: The legacy media. So it's and I'll just note that
- 3:30Speaker 1: it's not just a legacy media that recognizes the power
- 3:33Speaker 1: of this Trump photo. They've just had the worst reaction
- 3:35Speaker 1: to it. This is a young Gen Z leftist talking
- 3:39Speaker 1: about how he knows this photo is going to be
- 3:42Speaker 1: received very positively by the American public. And he is
- 3:46Speaker 1: really upset about it. Let's play that video.
- 3:48Speaker 4: I'm so mad because that picture of Trump getting shot eats.
- 3:50Speaker 1: No! It eats.
- 3:59Speaker 4: Why does it eat? I'm so mad.
- 4:03Speaker 3: And I just feel like if it was Biden, I
- 4:05Speaker 3: feel like Biden wouldn't even have made it, bitch.
- 4:07Speaker 4: He wouldn't have made it.
- 4:08Speaker 3: He would have froze, bitch, in place and went like this.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Okay, for the older viewers saying that something eats, it
- 4:19Speaker 1: just means it's awesome.
- 4:20Speaker 2: It means it's iconic.
- 4:22Speaker 1: And at least this young leftist is honest about his
- 4:25Speaker 1: Trump assessment. He says, yeah, it's going to be great.
- 4:27Speaker 1: People are going to love this photo, and it sucks
- 4:29Speaker 1: for us as Democrats. The media is doing this weird
- 4:32Speaker 1: word game where they're saying, oh, we're censoring it, not
- 4:35Speaker 1: because we know it'll be really good for Trump.
- 4:37Speaker 2: We just don't want to promote propaganda. They're just so silly.
- 4:41Speaker 1: And Tucker Carlson pointed out the power of this photo
- 4:45Speaker 1: as well. And I really like the way he articulates it.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Let's play that video.
- 4:50Speaker 5: Well, Trump won when that happened because he displayed physical courage. And,
- 4:56Speaker 5: you know, if you live in a society where people
- 4:58Speaker 5: are literally dating by remote virtually and working virtually, you
- 5:02Speaker 5: can kind of lose touch with the physical reality of life.
- 5:07Speaker 5: But the unchanging truth is that leadership requires courage and
- 5:11Speaker 5: not just abstract courage, moral courage, But physical courage. You know,
- 5:16Speaker 5: someone starts shooting a rifle. Like, are you going to
- 5:18Speaker 5: wet yourself and start crying and run away? Are you
- 5:20Speaker 5: going to stand up and look at your people and
- 5:23Speaker 5: raise your fist and say, fight? And very few people
- 5:26Speaker 5: are capable of doing that. And he is. And therefore,
- 5:30Speaker 5: he wins.
- 5:32Speaker 2: I think in a culture.
- 5:34Speaker 1: where masculinity is so demonized, we forget how much people
- 5:39Speaker 1: are just instinctually attracted to brave, strong leaders. And again,
- 5:45Speaker 1: in a time period where we demonize masculinity, we call
- 5:48Speaker 1: it toxic. There's this perception that only men are attracted
- 5:52Speaker 1: to strength and bravery. And that's not the case at all.
- 5:56Speaker 1: As a woman, I can tell you, I don't feel
- 5:58Speaker 1: safe knowing that my country is in the hands of
- 6:00Speaker 1: Joe Biden. who apparently has cleared his schedule because he
- 6:04Speaker 1: has COVID, which should be if you're a healthy individual,
- 6:06Speaker 1: like the common flu or a cold. And to him,
- 6:09Speaker 1: it's completely knocked him out because this is a very
- 6:12Speaker 1: frail man.
- 6:12Speaker 2: I don't blame him. He's very old. He's clearly in
- 6:15Speaker 2: cognitive decline. I don't feel safe with him running the country.
- 6:18Speaker 2: But you know what?
- 6:18Speaker 1: I do feel safe with the guy who got shot
- 6:20Speaker 1: and then put his fist in the air and started saying, fight.
- 6:23Speaker 1: that's who makes me say okay yeah I'm I feel
- 6:25Speaker 1: comfortable with him leading the country that's the masculine energy
- 6:28Speaker 1: that I think people want to see from the leader
- 6:31Speaker 1: of the free world we're going to keep talking about
- 6:34Speaker 1: media corruption this story is wild an NBC correspondent said
- 6:38Speaker 1: that it was quote disturbing to see signs supporting mass
- 6:43Speaker 1: deportation at the RNC let's play that.
- 6:45Speaker 6: Video and most startling but not surprising is the fact
- 6:49Speaker 6: that the campaign itself, the RNC, handed out signs to
- 6:54Speaker 6: support the party platform saying mass deportations now. And there
- 6:59Speaker 6: was something about being— this is a photo I took last
- 7:01Speaker 6: night— there was something about being in the audience and seeing
- 7:05Speaker 6: thousands of people hold these signs that was disturbing, that
- 7:09Speaker 6: was troubling, quite frankly.
- 7:11Speaker 1: That guy just looks like a beta. I mean, he's
- 7:13Speaker 1: such a schmuck just sitting there. I just— Ugh, they
- 7:16Speaker 1: put the worst people on air on MSNBC. Okay, but
- 7:19Speaker 1: you know what I find disturbing? The millions of people
- 7:22Speaker 1: who are flooding over our border and we have no
- 7:25Speaker 1: idea who they are. Reports that military-aged Chinese males are
- 7:29Speaker 1: coming over the border.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Again, no idea who they are.
- 7:32Speaker 1: That the taxpayers are funding the food, water, and shelter
- 7:36Speaker 1: of these illegal immigrants who came over our border, broke
- 7:39Speaker 1: our laws, and are invading our country.
- 7:41Speaker 2: That's disturbing to me.
- 7:43Speaker 1: The fact that you have real citizens who want to
- 7:46Speaker 1: have their voices heard in the ballot box and their
- 7:49Speaker 1: voices are being diluted because in November, we know tons
- 7:52Speaker 1: and tons of illegals are going to vote in the
- 7:54Speaker 1: election because Biden refuses to sign into law the SAVE Act,
- 7:57Speaker 1: which says you have to prove you're a citizen if
- 7:59Speaker 1: you want to actually vote.
- 8:01Speaker 2: That's disturbing to me. It's disturbing to me that our
- 8:04Speaker 2: leaders think.
- 8:04Speaker 1: It's okay to have the working class struggle as they
- 8:09Speaker 1: are because they're importing all of this cheap labor just
- 8:12Speaker 1: to please major corporations, that's disturbing to me. It's disturbing
- 8:16Speaker 1: to me that NBC thinks that it's normal to have
- 8:19Speaker 1: mass illegal immigration. These are disturbing things that this guy
- 8:23Speaker 1: thinks it's disturbing for regular Americans who care about putting
- 8:27Speaker 1: our country and its citizens first is disturbing. I just,
- 8:32Speaker 1: I can't with, they have lost all credibility. They really have.
- 8:37Speaker 1: This story from, again, from MSNBC is, in my view,
- 8:43Speaker 1: makes them lose even more credibility.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Than the last story.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Rachel Maddow claimed that the Lord of the Rings is a, quote,
- 8:50Speaker 1: favorite of the far right during her RNC coverage.
- 8:55Speaker 2: And she was specifically talking about J.D.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Vance and his love for Lord of the Rings.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Let's play that. Like Mr.
- 9:02Speaker 7: Thiel, who has named his companies after things in the
- 9:04Speaker 7: Lord of the Rings series of J.R.R.
- 9:06Speaker 8: Tolkien books.
- 9:08Speaker 7: Lord of the Rings is a sort of favorite cosmos
- 9:12Speaker 7: for naming things and cultural references for a lot of
- 9:15Speaker 7: far right and alt right figures, both in Europe and
- 9:17Speaker 7: the United States. Peter Thiel names all these things after
- 9:20Speaker 7: Tolkien figures and places, like his company Palantir, for example.
- 9:25Speaker 7: Like his mentor, like Peter Thiel, who had given him
- 9:27Speaker 7: all his jobs in the world.
- 9:29Speaker 5: Mr.
- 9:29Speaker 7: Vance also, when he founded his own venture capital firm
- 9:33Speaker 7: with help from Peter Thiel, named it after a Lord
- 9:35Speaker 7: of the Rings thing. He called it Narya, N-A-R-Y-A, which
- 9:39Speaker 7: you can remember because it's Aryan, but you move the
- 9:41Speaker 7: N to the front. Apparently that word has something to
- 9:44Speaker 7: do with elves and rings from the Lord of the
- 9:47Speaker 7: Rings series.
- 9:48Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 9:49Speaker 2: She's such a weirdo.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Who says that Lord of the Rings is, you know,
- 9:53Speaker 1: a bad thing because it's associated somehow with the far right. Yes,
- 9:59Speaker 1: my husband says he's a far right extremist because he
- 10:01Speaker 1: loves Lord of the Rings.
- 10:02Speaker 2: I like Lord of the Rings too.
- 10:03Speaker 1: I first read the books when I was in college
- 10:06Speaker 1: because I wanted to take a class on them by
- 10:08Speaker 1: one of my favorite professors, Rachel Fulton Brown.
- 10:10Speaker 2: She also streams if you ever want to look into her.
- 10:13Speaker 1: But I wasn't just... encapsulated by them. I thought they
- 10:16Speaker 1: were amazing. I had never read anything like the Hobbit
- 10:19Speaker 1: or the Lord of the Rings trilogy. They were truly beautiful,
- 10:23Speaker 1: creative works. And it feels like the left hates everything
- 10:27Speaker 1: good and beautiful in the world. Why else would you
- 10:29Speaker 1: have a vendetta against a Lord of the Rings? which
- 10:32Speaker 1: is one of the most beautiful, one of the most
- 10:36Speaker 1: impactful stories on Western Civ in modern history.
- 10:41Speaker 2: So, so bizarre from Rachel Maddow.
- 10:43Speaker 1: And I think part of it probably has to do
- 10:45Speaker 1: with the fact that it's rooted in Christianity.
- 10:47Speaker 3: J.R.R.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Tolkien was a devout Christian.
- 10:51Speaker 9: Catholic.
- 10:52Speaker 1: This was a uniquely Christian work. And it seems like
- 10:55Speaker 1: the left just hates anything that is uniquely Christian. They
- 10:59Speaker 1: hate anything that is good in our culture. And instead,
- 11:02Speaker 1: they tend to uplift things that are ugly and frankly evil.
- 11:07Speaker 2: We're going to take a quick break.
- 11:08Speaker 1: And when we come back, we're going to talk about
- 11:10Speaker 1: one of the worst Joe Biden gaffes I have seen
- 11:12Speaker 1: all week, which is saying something because he's been making
- 11:15Speaker 1: a lot of mistakes all week.
- 11:17Speaker 2: So stay tuned.

- 12:07Speaker 2: We love you guys.
- 12:08Speaker 1: During this interview with the Black Entertainment Television Network, Biden
- 12:14Speaker 1: could not remember the name of Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.
- 12:19Speaker 1: And it is painful to watch.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Let's play it.
- 12:23Speaker 4: And so it's all about, it's all about treating people
- 12:27Speaker 4: with dignity.
- 12:29Speaker 9: And it's about making sure that, for example, look at
- 12:32Speaker 9: the heat I'm getting in. Because I named the Secretary
- 12:37Speaker 9: of Defense, the black man, I named Ketanji Brown.
- 12:41Speaker 4: I mean, because of the people I've named.
- 12:44Speaker 1: The black man, literally that was his little insert there.
- 12:48Speaker 1: And it's so embarrassing for the Biden admin. It's probably
- 12:51Speaker 1: more embarrassing for the media because of the double standard.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Of course, if this was a Republican who couldn't remember
- 12:56Speaker 1: someone's name and they said, oh, it's the black man,
- 12:59Speaker 1: they'd call this person racist incessantly, but it's Joe Biden,
- 13:02Speaker 1: so they're not gonna say that. But I don't think
- 13:04Speaker 1: it's racist. What it is is he's in cognitive decline.
- 13:08Speaker 1: This is a man who is losing it on a
- 13:10Speaker 1: national stage. And again, I have to say, Why doesn't
- 13:14Speaker 1: he just retire in Delaware, in his mansion, paid for
- 13:17Speaker 1: by Ukrainian and Chinese cash?
- 13:19Speaker 2: It's perfect, right?
- 13:20Speaker 1: I don't understand why he is putting himself through this.
- 13:23Speaker 1: I don't understand why Jill Biden is putting her husband
- 13:26Speaker 1: through this.
- 13:26Speaker 2: I have one more Joe Biden video. This one is
- 13:30Speaker 2: also tough to watch. Just, I think we can, can
- 13:32Speaker 2: we do it as a VO? Michael, yeah, let's do that. Okay,
- 13:36Speaker 2: so he's walking down the stairs and he is moving
- 13:41Speaker 2: so slow.
- 13:43Speaker 1: And he has to, right? Because he's fallen so many
- 13:45Speaker 1: times up and down the stairs. He's tripped over his
- 13:49Speaker 1: own feet, actually, and there's no stairs involved. Okay, so
- 13:52Speaker 1: he's slowly making his way down.
- 13:55Speaker 2: And then at one point, he just pauses.
- 13:59Speaker 1: And he looks like he doesn't know where he's going,
- 14:03Speaker 1: what he's doing.
- 14:05Speaker 2: The whole thing.
- 14:10Speaker 1: And it's like you know that you see there's nothing coming.
- 14:15Speaker 1: He's not consuming anything that they're saying, right? It's just
- 14:19Speaker 1: a blank stare. Someone needs to just let this man retire.
- 14:24Speaker 1: He just needs to retire. He appears more and more
- 14:28Speaker 1: fragile every time we see him.
- 14:31Speaker 2: This is another video. This one is bad.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Joy Reid and Jen Psaki are claiming that Biden having
- 14:37Speaker 1: COVID and recovering from it, he hasn't recovered yet, but
- 14:41Speaker 1: if and when he does recover is the same thing
- 14:43Speaker 1: as Trump literally surviving a gun shot to the face.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Let's play that one.
- 14:49Speaker 8: These two men are both elderly.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Donald Trump is an elderly man who, for whatever reason,
- 14:54Speaker 3: was given nine seconds to take a iconic photo op
- 14:57Speaker 3: during an active shooter situation. Weird situation. We'll figure that
- 15:01Speaker 3: out one day. But his survival of that and bouncing
- 15:06Speaker 3: right back and going right to his convention is being
- 15:08Speaker 3: conveyed in the media world as a sign of strength.
- 15:11Speaker 3: This current president of the United States is 81 years old.
- 15:16Speaker 3: and has COVID, should he be fine in a couple
- 15:19Speaker 3: of days? Doesn't that convey exactly the same thing? That
- 15:23Speaker 3: he's strong enough, older than Trump, to have gotten something
- 15:26Speaker 3: that used to really be fatal to people his age.
- 15:30Speaker 3: So if he does fine out of it and comes
- 15:33Speaker 3: back and is able to do rallies, isn't that exactly
- 15:35Speaker 3: the same? I mean, it's not exactly the same. It's
- 15:38Speaker 3: not the same incident, but it's an elderly man coming
- 15:41Speaker 3: through out of an illness. What?
- 15:45Speaker 1: Okay, I'm sorry, getting shot, looking like a badass with
- 15:49Speaker 1: your fist in the air and blood on your face
- 15:51Speaker 1: is the same thing as recovering from COVID?
- 15:55Speaker 2: Is that the same thing, Michael? No, it's not. It's silliness.
- 16:01Speaker 2: It's propaganda.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Like the first story we did where they're taking away
- 16:04Speaker 1: the Trump photo and getting rid of it because they
- 16:06Speaker 1: know it'll help Republicans.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Such absolute brain rot.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Speaking of brain rot, brain rot, it gets worse from
- 16:14Speaker 1: Joy Reid. She has now gone straight into full Trump
- 16:19Speaker 1: getting shot trutherism. The whole thing is crazy and full
- 16:23Speaker 1: of conspiracies. Let's play this video of Joy Reid. And
- 16:25Speaker 1: by the way, she would not be able to say
- 16:27Speaker 1: this on MSNBC because MSNBC has been trying to reel
- 16:30Speaker 1: in their hosts from the insanity. And Joy Reid is
- 16:33Speaker 1: now doing her own little videos, pushing the craziness because
- 16:37Speaker 1: her own network is saying, whoa, we have to tone
- 16:39Speaker 1: it back. You guys have to bring the crazy in
- 16:42Speaker 1: just a little bit.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Let's play that.
- 16:43Speaker 3: Yet they allowed him to stand up in the middle
- 16:46Speaker 3: of that, you know, crisis and pose for a photo
- 16:53Speaker 3: and fist pump the air so he could get the
- 16:56Speaker 3: iconic photo. And then they allowed him to stand up
- 16:59Speaker 3: again outside of the SUV instead of just shoving him
- 17:02Speaker 3: into the SUV. That seems really unusual. What is the
- 17:06Speaker 3: actual injury to Donald Trump's ear that's under that bandage?
- 17:10Speaker 3: Shouldn't we know that by now? It's weird. And there
- 17:13Speaker 3: doesn't seem to be a whole lot of curiosity about it,
- 17:16Speaker 3: you know, in the sort of media world, you know,
- 17:19Speaker 3: my profession. It's weird, right? Where are the FOIAs? Why
- 17:23Speaker 3: isn't the New York Times, like, aggressively pursuing his medical records?
- 17:29Speaker 1: So Trump was not actually shot and it was all
- 17:32Speaker 1: for a photo op, apparently, according to Joy Reid.
- 17:36Speaker 2: It was all a setup. Weird. She's just weird.
- 17:40Speaker 1: And just a reminder that this is a woman who
- 17:43Speaker 1: thinks you and I should be censored because We're the
- 17:46Speaker 1: ones who espouse misinformation. She and the rest of the
- 17:49Speaker 1: legacy media believe that they have a monopoly on truth.
- 17:53Speaker 1: If your name is not Jesus Christ, you don't have
- 17:55Speaker 1: a monopoly on the truth. Nobody can be telling you
- 17:57Speaker 1: what is and isn't true. Joy Reid, unlike myself, thinks
- 18:01Speaker 1: that she has the right to tell us what media
- 18:04Speaker 1: we're allowed to consume, what we're allowed to hear, what
- 18:06Speaker 1: we're allowed to see, what we're allowed to to think
- 18:10Speaker 1: because she is a lunatic and I'm okay with her
- 18:13Speaker 1: saying crazy things.
- 18:14Speaker 2: I'm okay. Go ahead.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Say as much crazy crap as you want. That's fine
- 18:17Speaker 1: with me. What's not fine with me is when you say, yeah,
- 18:20Speaker 1: I'm the arbiter of truth. You have to shut up
- 18:23Speaker 1: and be quiet because I don't like what you're saying
- 18:25Speaker 1: and I'm going to smear you as a disinformationist because
- 18:28Speaker 1: what you're saying is inconvenient to me.
- 18:30Speaker 2: I don't like it.
- 18:31Speaker 1: It's the same reason we have groups like Garm and
- 18:34Speaker 1: NewsGuard who will go to advertisers and say, You don't
- 18:39Speaker 1: want to work with Dan Bongino. You don't want to
- 18:41Speaker 1: work with The Federalist. You don't want to work with
- 18:44Speaker 1: The Daily Wire. These people are dangerous. You can't collaborate
- 18:48Speaker 1: with them. And then they destroy our ability to make money.
- 18:50Speaker 1: So I'm fine with Joy being dumb. What I'm not
- 18:52Speaker 1: fine with is her destroying the ability for alternative media,
- 18:57Speaker 1: which frankly is truthful media most of the time compared
- 19:01Speaker 1: to them, destroying their ability to make money, destroying their careers.
- 19:06Speaker 2: That's what I have a problem with.
- 19:08Speaker 1: This last story is so sad to me. It makes
- 19:13Speaker 1: me think about the state of our country just being
- 19:16Speaker 1: in disarray, our legal system really in disarray. In 2021,
- 19:20Speaker 1: a seven-year-old girl wrote any life over a Black Lives
- 19:25Speaker 1: Matter drawing. Essentially trying to make the point that all
- 19:27Speaker 1: lives matter. And the school principal told this child that
- 19:31Speaker 1: her drawing was inappropriate and racist. A seven-year-old. She said
- 19:36Speaker 1: this about a seven-year-old's little addition to a Black Lives
- 19:40Speaker 1: Matter poster. And the principal made her publicly apologize and
- 19:45Speaker 1: banter from recess and drawing pictures for two weeks.
- 19:49Speaker 2: A seven-year-old.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Now, the girl's family filed a lawsuit against the school district,
- 19:54Speaker 1: said that they violated their daughter's First Amendment rights, and
- 19:58Speaker 1: a California judge ruled against the parents. And they said
- 20:02Speaker 1: the teachers had the right to punish this seven-year-old. And
- 20:07Speaker 1: this is what the judge said when he made this decision.
- 20:11Speaker 1: He said,' Students have the right to be free from
- 20:13Speaker 1: speech' that denigrates their race while at school.' Only in California.
- 20:19Speaker 1: It was a blatant violation of this girl's First Amendment rights.
- 20:23Speaker 1: California doesn't care. We have a video of this girl's
- 20:25Speaker 1: mother that I think is important to watch.
- 20:27Speaker 2: Let's play that.
- 20:28Speaker 9: I knew it was wrong fundamentally. I knew something was wrong.
- 20:35Speaker 9: Like my rights, my daughter's rights were taken away. And
- 20:40Speaker 9: I just had to reach out and started reaching out
- 20:41Speaker 9: and asking people. I didn't know what the name of
- 20:44Speaker 9: it was. I didn't even know what compelled speech was
- 20:46Speaker 9: until I started talking to attorneys.
- 20:48Speaker 8: Let's keep that picture up on the screen. Take a
- 20:50Speaker 8: look at it. It says Black Lives Matter and any
- 20:53Speaker 8: life written on the bottom. And then there's some cute
- 20:56Speaker 8: little drawings there. I mean, basically, they're equating this with
- 20:59Speaker 8: the Klan, it seems.
- 21:02Speaker 2: My heart really goes out to this mother.
- 21:04Speaker 1: I think that she did something really brave, even though
- 21:06Speaker 1: California is set up to destroy freedom at every opportunity
- 21:10Speaker 1: that it gets. I think it's a reminder that you
- 21:13Speaker 1: probably don't want to send your kids to public school,
- 21:15Speaker 1: but if you do, it's important to be brave. And
- 21:18Speaker 1: so many parents like this mother don't know what to
- 21:21Speaker 1: do when they're faced with a situation like this, when
- 21:23Speaker 1: they realize, oh, this public school is radically politicized and
- 21:28Speaker 1: is set up to indoctrinate my child. And they say,
- 21:32Speaker 1: you know, oftentimes they just do nothing, right? I mean,
- 21:35Speaker 1: that's the obvious choice when you don't know where to turn.
- 21:38Speaker 1: And this mother took everything And that is a very
- 21:42Speaker 1: powerful thing that I hope a lot of other people
- 21:45Speaker 1: do in their own lives if they're faced with something similar.
- 21:49Speaker 1: We are fighting people that do not believe in truth
- 21:54Speaker 1: that will turn their vitriol and their hatred, not just
- 21:57Speaker 1: on Donald Trump, not just on Peter Navarro or Steve Bannon.
- 22:02Speaker 1: They turned their rage and their, their hatred on a
- 22:06Speaker 1: seven-year-old who opposes them, right?
- 22:09Speaker 2: Ideologically.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Anything that stands in the way of their own progress
- 22:14Speaker 1: or of their own narratives, they will destroy. They will
- 22:18Speaker 1: try to shame publicly, even if it's a seven-year-old girl.
- 22:23Speaker 1: That is what we are facing right now.
- 22:25Speaker 2: That is the stakes.
- 22:27Speaker 1: And if you, again, if we don't do anything, if
- 22:29Speaker 1: we stand aside and allow these people to treat us
- 22:33Speaker 1: and our children this way, you will lose the country.
- 22:36Speaker 2: So be like this mom. I like her a lot.
- 22:38Speaker 1: I think that she did something really great here. And
- 22:41Speaker 1: that's all I have for today. Make sure you download

- 22:58Speaker 4: I think a lot of people are underestimating the Trump
- 23:00Speaker 4: effect in this midterm. You've heard it yourself. Act like
- 23:04Speaker 4: I'm on the ballot. Why is he saying that? You
- 23:06Speaker 4: think he doesn't know what he's doing? That is the
- 23:09Speaker 4: X factor. Folks, elections are a math issue.
- 23:13Speaker 6: That is it.
