- 0:31Speaker 2: what was the line? Let me think about it. It's
- 0:35Speaker 2: been a minute. Mhmm, I really forgot the light. Oh
- 0:44Speaker 2: my god. Welcome to the Chuck's Cantina. I am your

- 1:15Speaker 2: it creepy anyway. Yes, let me cut to it. It's
- 1:18Speaker 2: good to be back. Appreciate all support while I was gone.
- 1:23Speaker 2: This is episode one ninety seven. So close to two hundred, Chuck,
- 1:27Speaker 2: You're so close to two hundred? Why why why did
- 1:30Speaker 2: you not make it a two hundred. I'm gonna tell
- 1:32Speaker 2: you not going anything crazy today. I am drinking high
- 1:35Speaker 2: quality h two. Oh, because I'm trying to be hydrated
- 1:38Speaker 2: and healthy, considering that when we got back from Europe,
- 1:42Speaker 2: I had the worst flow I've had probably in the
- 1:45Speaker 2: last four to five years, lost like fifteen to twenty pounds,
- 1:48Speaker 2: or at least it feels like it. I mean I feel
- 1:49Speaker 2: like it now. I feel great now, but then not
- 1:52Speaker 2: so much. So Yeah, so where have I been? Where
- 1:56Speaker 2: are we going? What's next? Gonna get to that here
- 1:58Speaker 2: in a minute. So yeah, as I alluded to in
- 2:02Speaker 2: episode one ninety six, which was let's see this is
- 2:07Speaker 2: gonna come out the twenty fifth. Oh boy, it's been
- 2:12Speaker 2: a minute two months. Yeah, So, as I alluded to,
- 2:20Speaker 2: uh when I discussed, you know, traveling and then discussing
- 2:25Speaker 2: the uh Warner Brothers sale, which is still going through
- 2:28Speaker 2: apparently with Netflix. Actually, when we last discussed, Warner Brothers
- 2:32Speaker 2: was going for sale, and now Netflix is about to
- 2:34Speaker 2: buy him, even though Paramount is trying to facade or
- 2:38Speaker 2: stop that, which that's a whole episode itself. I'm gonna
- 2:40Speaker 2: do that now. And just so I don't.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Forget that note I just said, I'm gonna write that
- 2:45Speaker 3: down for a podcast idea. Let me just excuse me
- 2:48Speaker 3: one second Warner Bros. Sale paira mount fight.
- 2:59Speaker 2: I guess trying professional here. So yeah, as I alluded to,
- 3:07Speaker 2: and of the lever being in December was me traveling
- 3:09Speaker 2: to go visit my wife, have a holiday over there,
- 3:13Speaker 2: and essentially move back to America. We wish I could
- 3:18Speaker 2: tell a little b about journey because it was great,
- 3:20Speaker 2: it was fun, had a lovely time, was chaotic in
- 3:23Speaker 2: some aspects, not any of our own faultes. That's just
- 3:25Speaker 2: what happens when you travel multiple countries the world and
- 3:29Speaker 2: all that stuff. So but yeah, that's really that's I mean,
- 3:34Speaker 2: that's really the basis of it. And one of the
- 3:38Speaker 2: I'm the first guy to say that New Year's resolutions
- 3:41Speaker 2: are we should be held a connel to it by
- 3:43Speaker 2: molsto the first guys that I think they're stupid because
- 3:45Speaker 2: how many how many people have actually gone through with theirs?
- 3:48Speaker 2: God knows, I've made mine in the last thirty two years.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Oliver Oscar really, really I'm trying to do. I'm trying
- 3:58Speaker 2: to be a professional hair anyway. You know, you guys
- 4:05Speaker 2: heard that typical Oliver yelling at the beginning of the podcast.
- 4:08Speaker 2: So went to go visit her at a wonderful time
- 4:12Speaker 2: for Saints. First, what do we do? Where did we go?
- 4:16Speaker 2: So obviously we did Germany, did the Kringle markets, which
- 4:19Speaker 2: are always great. Got to have my gluve wine that's
- 4:22Speaker 2: red hot wine, and a cup where your hand's on
- 4:25Speaker 2: fire with how cold it is, you don't care. And
- 4:28Speaker 2: then for Christmas this time, actually I can't remember, it
- 4:33Speaker 2: might have been og Patron or no, no, it was
- 4:35Speaker 2: a shag Zillah who obviously he kind of kind of
- 4:38Speaker 2: got the little bit of the uh awareness or like
- 4:42Speaker 2: how it goes when he did october Fest with us
- 4:44Speaker 2: in October or actually late September. Technically, it is pretty
- 4:48Speaker 2: easy and pretty affordable to travel from country to country
- 4:50Speaker 2: because majority of time you can just take a train
- 4:52Speaker 2: or you can't take a flight. But it's not like
- 4:54Speaker 2: Flyinglet's say, like what flying from Chicago from Chicago to
- 4:58Speaker 2: like Orlando, that's a couple hundred buck. So you could
- 5:00Speaker 2: do a flight from Germany to Island for under one hundred.
- 5:03Speaker 2: It's stupid, stupid affordable if you just obviously plan and
- 5:09Speaker 2: do your money right now, always hearing me, limit to
- 5:11Speaker 2: what you can brain when you're flying a very cheap airline,
- 5:13Speaker 2: of course, but that's just how it went. So for
- 5:16Speaker 2: the holidays, uh, myself, my lovely wife and our dog Tully,
- 5:21Speaker 2: we flew to Germany and did Christmas in Petty in Paris.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Was fun the first couple of days. And this is
- 5:33Speaker 2: one thing my wife and I came to realize. We
- 5:35Speaker 2: were so in the excuse me, in the uh oh,
- 5:42Speaker 2: I don't want to say, I mean, I mean, I'm
- 5:44Speaker 2: I wanna say honeymoon. We were so like focused I
- 5:47Speaker 2: had like beer gog goes On essentially where Beer gog
- 5:49Speaker 2: goes On, We're just focusing in the trips and the
- 5:51Speaker 2: plans and the foods and all that stuff we were
- 5:53Speaker 2: gonna eat. Then we didn't think to go, hmmm, it's
- 5:56Speaker 2: gonna be very cold now. Is it as cold as
- 6:01Speaker 2: is in Chicago right now? Absolutely not. But when you
- 6:04Speaker 2: pack lightly and then pretty much the one that has
- 6:07Speaker 2: the most packed stuff is our dog, it gets cold
- 6:11Speaker 2: very quick. To a point where we go, we're going
- 6:14Speaker 2: to get we want to get to you to travel,
- 6:15Speaker 2: but we will not be going to places that are
- 6:18Speaker 2: not essentially I'm not gonna say south the equator, but
- 6:20Speaker 2: in the southern region in the wintertime unless it's like
- 6:25Speaker 2: another family member is like hosting something or something like that.
- 6:28Speaker 2: So Paris was very cold, but it was great. You know,
- 6:32Speaker 2: got to have a wonderful moment with my wife and
- 6:34Speaker 2: our dog at the Eiffel Tower, got to eat wonderful food.
- 6:41Speaker 2: We I've been trying the last couple of trips I've
- 6:44Speaker 2: been trying to get away from like the tiktoki or
- 6:46Speaker 2: the Instagram ones are like this place is really popular,
- 6:49Speaker 2: really good. There's this lobster place sandwich place called I
- 6:53Speaker 2: think it's Homer stupid expensive, way over price. But I'm
- 6:59Speaker 2: not the first say it's the best lobster I've ever
- 7:02Speaker 2: had in my life. Now, I haven't been to Connecticut,
- 7:04Speaker 2: so I haven't been the Boston in that area to
- 7:06Speaker 2: have one to say it's the fact. But when I
- 7:11Speaker 2: can't remember where they were from. We met this older
- 7:13Speaker 2: couple at the Homer Place and they've just by talking
- 7:19Speaker 2: to him well traveled, have traveled all over the world,
- 7:23Speaker 2: and even they said it's way better than the one
- 7:25Speaker 2: they've had in the East Coast area and way cheaper.
- 7:28Speaker 2: And I'm like, wait, it's cheaper. It's cheaper in Paris
- 7:30Speaker 2: and Connecticut, so excuse me cough, bun chuck. So yeah,
- 7:37Speaker 2: that was enjoy Yeah, it was just nice to have
- 7:39Speaker 2: a you know, we did a holiday over in Paris
- 7:42Speaker 2: and then Christmas Day of course we checked out our
- 7:45Speaker 2: airbnb and took a train to Sarrus and we did
- 7:48Speaker 2: we actually did Christmas morning in Paris. We traveled to
- 7:53Speaker 2: Sara's and we did uh, I forgot we went. Oh
- 7:55Speaker 2: we went to the uh that's a called Manhattan restaurant.
- 7:58Speaker 2: It's at Disneyland Paris. Yes, we went to disney Land
- 8:00Speaker 2: Paris for Christmas. Yes, Cliki Clac, I'll hold for your
- 8:04Speaker 2: jokes when you come on next week. Yes, Clikitia Clack
- 8:08Speaker 2: will be on next week. Foreseeing any changes, jags of
- 8:12Speaker 2: love them was gonna come out, but he can't. So yeah,
- 8:15Speaker 2: it was lovely. The one thing that surprised us, or
- 8:19Speaker 2: at least me the most, was not how croud it was,
- 8:23Speaker 2: because of course it's Paris are on the holidays, but uh,
- 8:26Speaker 2: my wife and I are not. I'm not going to
- 8:28Speaker 2: say like we're we're foodies, but like we're not really
- 8:30Speaker 2: like dessert people. We don't go to places like we
- 8:34Speaker 2: need to try their crim brouleise, their brownies, their cakes,
- 8:37Speaker 2: their ice creams. I, as I've said on this podcast
- 8:41Speaker 2: a thousand times, I am not a cake guy. The
- 8:43Speaker 2: only cake I've actually enjoyed, honestly to like, like I've
- 8:45Speaker 2: actually sat down tried the cake like I would like
- 8:47Speaker 2: our piece of that is my own wedding cake. Obviously,
- 8:51Speaker 2: the emotions were high that day in a good way.
- 8:54Speaker 2: I remember eating that cake going damn, should have gotten
- 8:57Speaker 2: a bigger cake. We had cake left, but I was like, damn,
- 9:01Speaker 2: you should have gotten more cake. With that being said,
- 9:04Speaker 2: I can definitely tell you the last since we left France.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Whenever now we go somewhere and we get a dessert.
- 9:13Speaker 2: As my some friends of mine will tell you, even
- 9:15Speaker 2: my own wife will tell you, I am a guy
- 9:17Speaker 2: that when I go to a restaurant, I try to
- 9:20Speaker 2: find the best things in any place. Even if I
- 9:23Speaker 2: don't like something, I will try my damn this to
- 9:25Speaker 2: give it compliments. Since we've left France, if I don't
- 9:28Speaker 2: like a dessert, I am saying it out right, what
- 9:33Speaker 2: do we have there? We had chocolate moose. We I
- 9:36Speaker 2: can't rememb name of the restaurant. It was just like
- 9:38Speaker 2: a little I'm not gonna call it home in the
- 9:39Speaker 2: corner was a very nice place. But it's like you know,
- 9:42Speaker 2: it's it's like like a big city restaurant where it's
- 9:45Speaker 2: like it's very It's like you're walking down on an alley,
- 9:47Speaker 2: like walking down the side street and there's just like
- 9:49Speaker 2: a little hole in the wall place. But look at
- 9:50Speaker 2: like it goes wow, that place looks beautiful. When in
- 9:53Speaker 2: there had steaks and stuff like that, and then we
- 9:55Speaker 2: got chocolate moose and they're like, okay, let us know when,
- 9:59Speaker 2: and we're like, what do you mean when? And they
- 10:00Speaker 2: put olive oil on it, to which my wife and
- 10:02Speaker 2: I look at ech other go what is wrong with you,
- 10:04Speaker 2: to which the waiter just said, just try it. And
- 10:08Speaker 2: I think we had moose two or three more times,
- 10:10Speaker 2: and one of the times we went somewhere they didn't
- 10:12Speaker 2: have olive oil they've been putting on it, to which
- 10:14Speaker 2: I said, where's the olive oil? The kremblays were phenomenal
- 10:21Speaker 2: and like it it's just not like now ever since
- 10:24Speaker 2: we came back from Europe, any place we go to like,
- 10:27Speaker 2: we're very I mean I gotta say, wait, I am
- 10:30Speaker 2: now very picky on what dessert we get if we
- 10:32Speaker 2: get assert because I don't like if I if I
- 10:34Speaker 2: just don't like the sound of it or anything like that,
- 10:36Speaker 2: I'm not gonna do it. Do we're wrong. I know
- 10:39Speaker 2: she as hates when I talk about brands on you
- 10:41Speaker 2: that don't pay me. I'm the first guy I will
- 10:44Speaker 2: do what. I'll give up anything and we'll get a
- 10:45Speaker 2: Colver's custard. That's to me, that is the best ice
- 10:48Speaker 2: cream in the world. But now when I'm at a restaurant,
- 10:52Speaker 2: I'm gonna be very picky what dessert I pick. So No,
- 10:55Speaker 2: that was absolutely lovely, and I obviously I'm very happy
- 10:58Speaker 2: to have them both home. Yes, she is now home.
- 11:00Speaker 2: She's now home for good. Tully is now home for good.
- 11:03Speaker 2: The boys are very happy. Oliver, being as needy as
- 11:07Speaker 2: usually as you hurt a couple of minutes ago, is
- 11:09Speaker 2: even more needy now. Flair is just Flair. Still just
- 11:13Speaker 2: wants to eat, still wants to snuggle with you. But
- 11:15Speaker 2: the second he's done, he's going to push off you
- 11:17Speaker 2: in the most awkward way to where he doesn't realize
- 11:19Speaker 2: he's a thirteen and a half pound cat, and he
- 11:21Speaker 2: puts all of his pressure on the one joint that hurts,
- 11:25Speaker 2: just because he does that, and then of course we
- 11:28Speaker 2: went to Switzerland for New Year's That was absolutely lovely.
- 11:32Speaker 2: The reason went to Switzerland for New Years is because
- 11:34Speaker 2: she had to leave her apartment had it said date.
- 11:37Speaker 2: And the other reason we had to go to Switzerland
- 11:41Speaker 2: was because to fly. Obviously, her work paid for her flight,
- 11:45Speaker 2: of course, because she was returning home. I paid for
- 11:47Speaker 2: my own flight because I was there monic chord. But
- 11:49Speaker 2: to fly home from I'm not gonna say where she
- 11:52Speaker 2: lived pretty sure, Oh yeah, I could say she's back now.
- 11:55Speaker 2: To fly out of Berlin, she doesn't live in Berlin.
- 11:58Speaker 2: She leans out a city called Leipzig's Berlin, Chicago, Leipsid's Milwaukee.
- 12:02Speaker 2: It's about the same distance, honestly, two hours, two and
- 12:05Speaker 2: a half hours to fly out of Berlin every other
- 12:10Speaker 2: time I have flown there. I have flown to Berlin
- 12:13Speaker 2: now a bunch of times. Thankfully, it was so expensive
- 12:21Speaker 2: that it was cheaper for us to take a train
- 12:27Speaker 2: with all of her stuff and the stuff I brought,
- 12:30Speaker 2: a course, all of her stuff move essentially move her,
- 12:32Speaker 2: move a woman out of a country with a dog,
- 12:35Speaker 2: move them out of a country onto a ten hour
- 12:38Speaker 2: commute train. Right because that's how we got this. So
- 12:40Speaker 2: we took two trains, take them from the trains to
- 12:43Speaker 2: a hotel in Switzerland. And the reason I'm emphasizing that
- 12:47Speaker 2: is because I didn't know this. Switzerland is like the
- 12:51Speaker 2: call it the California of Europe. Everything there is stupid
- 12:54Speaker 2: expensive for no fucking reason. Part of my French stupid
- 12:59Speaker 2: expensive get it was cheaper to do all that and
- 13:02Speaker 2: fly out of Switzerland then for us just to drive
- 13:05Speaker 2: the two hours to Berlin and fly home. For some reason,
- 13:10Speaker 2: that weekend or that week rather, Germany was like and
- 13:13Speaker 2: all the air not even just Germany, all the airlines
- 13:15Speaker 2: were like, we're going to up charge. I think, like,
- 13:17Speaker 2: like what was it was like up like amos almost
- 13:19Speaker 2: at least sixty to seventy percent, which I'm like, has
- 13:22Speaker 2: that even legal? But they don't care. Because I actually
- 13:26Speaker 2: was watching some flights and some I was like, okay,
- 13:28Speaker 2: maybe some flights we'll get cheaper as we get closer. No,
- 13:31Speaker 2: they got more expensive of course because airlines. So yeah,
- 13:37Speaker 2: that was fun. It was It was an adventure, but
- 13:43Speaker 2: you know, we got through it her until you're all good,
- 13:47Speaker 2: And I will have to say, obviously it was super,
- 13:50Speaker 2: super stupid cold. But we did the New Year's fireworks
- 13:57Speaker 2: in Zurich, Switzerland. And I will tell you I am
- 14:03Speaker 2: not a I'm not gonna say I'm I'm a I'm
- 14:06Speaker 2: not a pyromaniac. I'm not gonna say who in my
- 14:09Speaker 2: life is a pirate. He's not a pyromach anymore what
- 14:11Speaker 2: he used to be. Brother. I love fireworks. I love
- 14:16Speaker 2: explosions and like movie stuff like that. I love to
- 14:19Speaker 2: appoint some controlled environment with fireworks. My wife she wants
- 14:25Speaker 2: completely controlled, which I one hundred percent understand that we
- 14:31Speaker 2: were walking through this park essentially to walk up to
- 14:34Speaker 2: the water to watch the fireworks show that the city
- 14:37Speaker 2: was going to put on for some reason. It was
- 14:41Speaker 2: what was it? It was midnight, the church bells go
- 14:42Speaker 2: off for ten minutes, there'd be a ten minute break,
- 14:45Speaker 2: and then in twenty after the New Year there's when
- 14:47Speaker 2: they would do their fireworks show. Didn't fucking matter. From
- 14:52Speaker 2: us walking off the tram to get to the park,
- 14:54Speaker 2: there were fireworks going off everywhere. We're sitting on this
- 14:57Speaker 2: like little not table, like a little bench. There are
- 15:00Speaker 2: fireworks going off all around us. There's sparklers. But I mean,
- 15:03Speaker 2: I'm not just talking like a little like ooh, little firework.
- 15:05Speaker 2: No more like holy shit, that was too close firework.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Didn't matter where you went, didn't matter where you were
- 15:12Speaker 2: coming from, there are fireworks going on off near you.
- 15:15Speaker 2: We were fine, we were safe. We were under a
- 15:17Speaker 2: pretty big tree, and so I got no worries. But
- 15:20Speaker 2: let me tell you, We've been going to Disney for
- 15:23Speaker 2: a long time. I've been going to other fireworks shows
- 15:26Speaker 2: for a long time. Obviously, probably with the chaos of
- 15:31Speaker 2: everyone blowing off their fireworks was pretty insane. But I
- 15:34Speaker 2: have not seen for at least twenty to twenty five
- 15:36Speaker 2: minutes straight of fireworks at a consistency and intensity level
- 15:41Speaker 2: like that, and I don't know if I ever will again.
- 15:44Speaker 2: That was, without question, I mean, I think she said
- 15:46Speaker 2: the same thing too, the best fireworks show I've ever seen. Now,
- 15:51Speaker 2: obviously I haven't been to like the Chicago New Year's fireworks.
- 15:55Speaker 2: I've been to the New York fireworks. I've been to
- 15:56Speaker 2: other firework New Year's stuff, and I'm sure if forever
- 16:00Speaker 2: we'll go to them and see if they can compete.
- 16:02Speaker 2: All I gotta say is good fucking luck, because that
- 16:06Speaker 2: was such an insane experience in a good way that
- 16:14Speaker 2: I don't know how a not even just I m
- 16:20Speaker 2: up all our fireworks, but just the city fireworks, like
- 16:22Speaker 2: just in terms of like where they did it, how
- 16:23Speaker 2: consistently for twenty five minutes there were no accidents or issues.
- 16:28Speaker 2: There was that much gunpowder. And I love the smell
- 16:30Speaker 2: of burning like gunpowder, like burning fall. I love that smell.
- 16:35Speaker 2: But even I was like, this is a little much,
- 16:39Speaker 2: so much so, and also that even when we were
- 16:41Speaker 2: heading back, the cast of heading back to get back
- 16:43Speaker 2: to our hotel was insane, thankfully, so we went go
- 16:46Speaker 2: we go back to the train stats or the tram station,
- 16:48Speaker 2: and there were so many people they actually closed it
- 16:51Speaker 2: off and people were trying to push down the door
- 16:53Speaker 2: and push down the fence. Thankfully, my wife and I,
- 16:56Speaker 2: while we did have some champagne, we were not that stupid.
- 17:00Speaker 2: We just simply walked a couple of blocks. Sure, we
- 17:02Speaker 2: had to walk up a pretty seaphill at the college
- 17:04Speaker 2: in Zurich, but then we got together tram spot and
- 17:07Speaker 2: we really got on that tram just fine. However, the
- 17:09Speaker 2: worst part about it though, was it was freaking cold
- 17:13Speaker 2: as hell. So yeah, it was very cold. I hate
- 17:19Speaker 2: the cold. I hate it so much, so much of that.
- 17:23Speaker 2: When we finally got back to the States and we
- 17:26Speaker 2: dropped totally off of his grandparents, we of course, oh
- 17:30Speaker 2: my god, Oscar. By the way, Oscar is Oliver's new dameouendver.
- 17:33Speaker 2: He's been annoying enough, thank you, and now he's pawning
- 17:38Speaker 2: out the door. So and of course we got back,
- 17:43Speaker 2: as any rational people do, what do you do when
- 17:46Speaker 2: you come back from a wonderful holiday trip. You know,
- 17:50Speaker 2: you gotta unpack, you gotta go to work, you gotta
- 17:53Speaker 2: get activated, back to your living environment, your weather, people food. Nope,
- 17:58Speaker 2: we literally dropped our bags off, went to work for
- 18:00Speaker 2: two days, and then we went to Florida for Disney.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Of course, as I mentioned before, my wife did the
- 18:09Speaker 2: Dopey run again, forty eight miles forty eight point so
- 18:13Speaker 2: either two or six. I'm pretty sure it's forty eight
- 18:15Speaker 2: point two forty eight point two miles in four days.
- 18:18Speaker 2: She crushed it. She did it. She beat the balloon ladies,
- 18:23Speaker 2: not that they were catching up to her, but like,
- 18:26Speaker 2: let's just say, you can read up what happened the
- 18:29Speaker 2: day of the marathon, what they did with the balloon
- 18:31Speaker 2: ladies at the lagoon Beach. A lot of people were
- 18:34Speaker 2: not happy about it somewhere because they got their metals
- 18:36Speaker 2: all having to do a full marathon. She wasn't cut off,
- 18:39Speaker 2: but let's just say she got a little nervous. She
- 18:41Speaker 2: made it. She wouldn't made it even sooner. But of
- 18:45Speaker 2: course she's a badass and decided to get off the
- 18:47Speaker 2: race for a minute to go on a ride, and
- 18:49Speaker 2: got did the ride and then got back to the run,
- 18:52Speaker 2: which is insane, but yeah, no, And of course she
- 18:56Speaker 2: did it for the animals for the World Wildlife Fund.
- 18:59Speaker 2: Oh I'm saying that right. Yeah, I'm gonna be proud
- 19:02Speaker 2: of her. That was pretty sweet and so crazy. She
- 19:06Speaker 2: says she'll never do it again. She also said that
- 19:10Speaker 2: the first two times she did the four racist in
- 19:13Speaker 2: fourteen's one funny thing, and I gotta I gotta tell
- 19:19Speaker 2: this story too. So we usually stay at due to
- 19:24Speaker 2: the All Star resorts, or will stay at one of
- 19:26Speaker 2: the hotels the Seven Seas with family. This time we
- 19:29Speaker 2: decided to stay at the cabins at the Fort Wilderness.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Not gonna lie. I was a little nervous because a
- 19:37Speaker 2: little bit of it is like I've never gone there.
- 19:39Speaker 2: I've never stayed there, her family has stayed there, or
- 19:42Speaker 2: she's never stayed there, but her family said there way
- 19:44Speaker 2: way long ago. A lot has changed. But I'll just
- 19:47Speaker 2: simply say this, it was wonderful. If you ever had
- 19:49Speaker 2: the chance to do it, do it. I had no
- 19:51Speaker 2: complaints about the food, the experience, the people, the transportation.
- 19:55Speaker 2: We had golf cart. I mean, Caitlin rode a horse,
- 19:57Speaker 2: for Christ's sakes at one point. It was fun. But
- 20:00Speaker 2: I do got to say this, where we were staying
- 20:02Speaker 2: in the cabin, we had to deal with and this
- 20:05Speaker 2: is how much fun we had. We had electrical issues,
- 20:08Speaker 2: went through multiple toasters because the fuse would blow and
- 20:11Speaker 2: then we would lose a toaster. Not like we were
- 20:16Speaker 2: using that much power, just this one corner of the
- 20:18Speaker 2: cabin in the kitchen. And then we had roaches. We
- 20:23Speaker 2: had a roach issue. Yes, I know, very gross for
- 20:25Speaker 2: those listening, disgusting gross, all right, I give them. I
- 20:29Speaker 2: gotta give them credit. Giant spot second we reported it.
- 20:32Speaker 2: I think they were I couldn't tell you how many
- 20:34Speaker 2: times they're at our place to check on us, how
- 20:36Speaker 2: many times they were there to double check. They put
- 20:38Speaker 2: traps everywhere. I assumed the tracks got up because after
- 20:41Speaker 2: they came and put traps down, we didn't see one.
- 20:44Speaker 2: And we had six people in the cabin. Yeah, we
- 20:49Speaker 2: had six, and after the traps came, I think one
- 20:53Speaker 2: person said they saw one, but after that they never
- 20:54Speaker 2: saw him again. So I assume that trap got them.
- 20:57Speaker 2: So again people can make fun of peace, like go
- 21:00Speaker 2: to Disney. I get it, it's hilarious. It could be funny.
- 21:02Speaker 2: I always say, they're like, hey, don't not untill you
- 21:04Speaker 2: try it. And part of it is just how wonderful
- 21:08Speaker 2: of a job they do down there, just being respectful
- 21:15Speaker 2: and like just nice to people and like, yeah, part
- 21:18Speaker 2: of it is in the facade, like you're like, oh,
- 21:19Speaker 2: the most said, you gotta be nice to me. But
- 21:22Speaker 2: I think a lot of it is actually, like they
- 21:23Speaker 2: actually do Jalli work working down there, so much so
- 21:26Speaker 2: that Kaitlin's sister is now working down there. So really,
- 21:29Speaker 2: I hope you're having fun, good luck and yeah, I
- 21:33Speaker 2: just enjoy yourself like you're in Florida. It's what negative
- 21:38Speaker 2: ten here in Chicago. Pass. Okay, So enough of my
- 21:43Speaker 2: SOB story here. So, uh, just doing a short one,
- 21:47Speaker 2: just catching up. Just want to go over what's coming up.
- 21:51Speaker 2: I always say I did a couple of these last year.
- 21:53Speaker 2: I think too, if I can remember exactly, We're not
- 21:56Speaker 2: doing it anymore, unless there's an extreme emvirgine or someone
- 22:00Speaker 2: beyond my control. I'm not taking breaks anymore. I've missed
- 22:03Speaker 2: this too much. I've I've missed this too much. I
- 22:10Speaker 2: enjoyed doing this too much, whether it's a half hour podcast,
- 22:13Speaker 2: whether it's a two and a half hour podcast where
- 22:15Speaker 2: I split the two, I enjoyed this shit too much,
- 22:17Speaker 2: and I'm done taking breaks. Part of it was obviously
- 22:21Speaker 2: just doing a lot of traveling, also getting my wife
- 22:23Speaker 2: back home. Other part of it was I've just been
- 22:25Speaker 2: going through I'm not freie to admit it. I've said
- 22:27Speaker 2: on this podcast before, I do therapy and stuff like that,
- 22:29Speaker 2: and sometimes using to take a mental break from stuff
- 22:32Speaker 2: like that, even from the stuff that you enjoyed doing
- 22:35Speaker 2: the last year or so, Like I used to I've
- 22:36Speaker 2: talked about it before I left for Europe. I used
- 22:39Speaker 2: to hate working out, and the last year I've worked
- 22:41Speaker 2: out more than I ever have in my entire life.
- 22:43Speaker 2: And now whenever I don't work out, I feel I
- 22:48Speaker 2: feel weird, I feel empty. It's weird, but and again,
- 22:50Speaker 2: I'm not going there trying to look like Dwayne Johnson.
- 22:52Speaker 2: I just it's a good stress relievor it's a way
- 22:54Speaker 2: I decompress. It's a way I can just I don't know.
- 22:57Speaker 2: To me, it's just it's just enjoyful because also, like
- 22:59Speaker 2: I said, like as my doctor told me years ago
- 23:01Speaker 2: or about two years ago, actually you know Russian, very
- 23:05Speaker 2: Russian doctor goes totally, why are you still live? Like
- 23:08Speaker 2: you're trying to push three hundred pounds people? And I go,
- 23:11Speaker 2: that's all I know. And he goes stupid, stupid, like
- 23:16Speaker 2: and I go, you call me. So he goes like, no,
- 23:19Speaker 2: what you're doing is stupid. I probably could code he stupid.
- 23:22Speaker 2: That's how get a doctor who's honest. That's all I'm
- 23:25Speaker 2: gonna say. Don't get a doctor goes well, you could
- 23:26Speaker 2: not get a doctor who's just like that, doesn't meet
- 23:28Speaker 2: around the bush. There's get a doctor who like the
- 23:32Speaker 2: same doctor for example, who twenty years ago, first time
- 23:35Speaker 2: he met my stepfather Pops. He comes in for his
- 23:38Speaker 2: physical and he goes, hey, nice to meet you. You're fat,
- 23:41Speaker 2: like my Pops is a very active man, very like
- 23:46Speaker 2: if the guy doesn't go outside for you know when
- 23:48Speaker 2: he first gets up in the morning, he's upset, very
- 23:51Speaker 2: outdoorsy guy, and he he goes fats. He's not a
- 23:54Speaker 2: fat man. I'm just go, oh shit, Okay, that's the
- 23:57Speaker 2: kind of doctor you want. So anyway, neither here nor there.
- 24:01Speaker 2: But yeah, so not taking a break anymore. Give me
- 24:05Speaker 2: doing weekly podcasts. I might do two. Sometimes I'll be
- 24:09Speaker 2: trying to be better about uh putting the not see
- 24:11Speaker 2: the record. I'm not gonna like when I record it,
- 24:13Speaker 2: like guys we've mentioned here sometimes like days the twenty fourth,
- 24:15Speaker 2: it's probably come on the twenty fifth, maybe twenty six.
- 24:17Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm gonna see how the flow goes.
- 24:19Speaker 2: But yeah, not taking breaks anymore. Yes, it's twenty five
- 24:24Speaker 2: minutes in. Haven't even discussed it. I think we've done five,
- 24:29Speaker 2: maybe ten episodes about Kathleen Kennedy leaving Lucasfilm and legally
- 24:33Speaker 2: it's actually done now clickerty clack is gonna come on.
- 24:37Speaker 2: We were planning next week, maybe two weeks unless somebody
- 24:40Speaker 2: comes up. Life does happen, But he's gonna come on.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Maybe I'll do it, shag Zylla. We're gonna talk about it.
- 24:45Speaker 2: As I said before, I am more in support of
- 24:48Speaker 2: her than most. I understand the My god, Claire, now
- 24:56Speaker 2: you're doing it. Your name is Claire, you're being man now,
- 25:01Speaker 2: or you're me. Your name's Claire. There we go, okay,
- 25:05Speaker 2: and click Aty Clagg, who's very against her, very did
- 25:08Speaker 2: not want her to be there, want her to be gone.
- 25:11Speaker 2: He super happy. I'm on the side where I'll talk
- 25:14Speaker 2: about it when we do the podcast where again, there's
- 25:18Speaker 2: a lot of people who think Disney killed Star Wars.
- 25:21Speaker 2: I'm not in that mindset, and I'll tell you why
- 25:25Speaker 2: in the next podcast. So that being said, thank you
- 25:29Speaker 2: allgain for your support. Even while I was gone, I
- 25:31Speaker 2: still check the numbers and yes they were still again.
- 25:34Speaker 2: This isn't This isn't the Joe Rogan podcast. This isn't
- 25:37Speaker 2: the Call Her Daddy podcast, This isn't the Alex Earl podcast.
- 25:41Speaker 2: This this is yeah, this is just my podcast. This
- 25:44Speaker 2: is Chuck's Cantina podcast. We're here, We're having a good time,
- 25:48Speaker 2: and that's all I gotta say. And so I just
- 25:50Speaker 2: want to thank you for you know, or yeah, this
- 25:54Speaker 2: is even the Hanging at the Hangar Bar podcast. That's
- 25:57Speaker 2: a deep cut. If you've listened to the podcast prior.
- 25:59Speaker 2: But I'm back. I'm back. I'm gonna I'm gonna do
- 26:05Speaker 2: the Michael Jordan punk release. That's what we do. I'm back.
- 26:07Speaker 2: That's all you gotta know, So think again, follow your
- 26:10Speaker 2: support as always. You can find us me at Chruck's
- 26:17Speaker 2: Cantina on your socials, Facebook, Twitter, x, Instagram, laps. Probably
- 26:25Speaker 2: gonna do with threads because it seems like the thing
- 26:26Speaker 2: you should do now is you have a threads account,
- 26:28Speaker 2: and I've seen some I don't know. I don't know
- 26:30Speaker 2: the thing. I don't know how. I don't know how
- 26:31Speaker 2: to feel about threads personally with me. I don't think
- 26:33Speaker 2: so because I don't know if I'll do because I
- 26:34Speaker 2: just I think there's too much social media. I know
- 26:36Speaker 2: that was a huge seen years ago. Too much social media.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Chuck your realm wind I know, but years ago there's
- 26:40Speaker 2: too much social media. It's kind of wind down a
- 26:41Speaker 2: little bit, but I still think there's too much. But
- 26:43Speaker 2: from some people, I know, they actually really do enjoy threads,
- 26:46Speaker 2: so we'll see it. But yes, you can find us
- 26:47Speaker 2: on those on those platforms. Otherwise, Yeah, I can be
- 26:52Speaker 2: doing podcasts weekly, Gonna be taking you along with me
- 26:56Speaker 2: on my voiceover journey, because that's gonna be full bore,
- 26:59Speaker 2: full third gear this year. And as I mentioned before,
- 27:02Speaker 2: I am looking into the software and stuff like I'm
- 27:04Speaker 2: just trying to figure all the logistics out. I have
- 27:07Speaker 2: the I have the camera, I have the program, I
- 27:11Speaker 2: need get one other program, but gonna potentially start streaming
- 27:14Speaker 2: this year. Trying to figure that out. And uh yeah,
- 27:18Speaker 2: so again, Resolus this year is like not to miss
- 27:21Speaker 2: a podcast weekend. Even if I don't record, I'm gonna
- 27:23Speaker 2: have something to come out because I enjoy this too much.
- 27:26Speaker 2: Because it's crazy to say this is year five. Now,
- 27:28Speaker 2: we're coming up on the fifth year anniversary of Chucks
- 27:30Speaker 2: Cantina and we're not episode two hundred. To me, that's unacceptable.
- 27:34Speaker 2: So we're not doing a missing shit anymore. So that
- 27:38Speaker 2: being said, yeah, while I did miss this, I would
- 27:44Speaker 2: you want to say because I always, like we always
- 27:46Speaker 2: do the explaining me message at the end. Yeah, take
- 27:50Speaker 2: time for yourself when you need it. That's all I
- 27:53Speaker 2: gotta say about that. Thank you all for joining me today.
- 27:56Speaker 2: I am your far fart, I'm your fart. I am
- 27:59Speaker 2: not a little gross. I am your favorite part of
- 28:01Speaker 2: the last However, the hell you want to call me
- 28:04Speaker 2: Chuck and we'll see you next week. Oh and here
- 28:07Speaker 2: one more thing, because as you do with toast, this
- 28:09Speaker 2: goes at the John Cena happy retirement bub Take care,
