- 4:41Speaker 1: been having some issues, especially with serving lately. We are
- 4:46Speaker 1: efforting our tennis correspondent, the wild Man, Scott Tribally to
- 4:52Speaker 1: be with us tomorrow as our US Open correspondent. I
- 4:56Speaker 1: think he might be in New York at the Open.

- 5:55Speaker 1: the college football action this weekend. So we got that
- 6:00Speaker 1: going on for us, which is nice. All right, Uh,
- 6:05Speaker 1: gonna take a break. We're going to come back. Mike Elko,
- 6:10Speaker 1: we'll hear from him after the final lap. Brought to
- 6:13Speaker 1: you by Chad Jones.
- 6:15Speaker 7: Law.
- 6:22Speaker 8: I'm Chad Jones. We know sports injuries hurt, and so
- 6:25Speaker 8: do injuries from car res. But you didn't sign up
- 6:28Speaker 8: to be in a car wreck with someone who wasn't
- 6:29Speaker 8: paying attention. It was their fault and now you're left
- 6:32Speaker 8: to deal with the consequences. You need to see a

- 6:54Speaker 9: Dylenhard Junior was the race winning team owner this past
- 6:56Speaker 9: weekend in the Infinity Series from Daytona International Speedway, and
- 7:00Speaker 9: he talks about it.
- 7:01Speaker 4: I think, you know, Connors badly wants to be in
- 7:03Speaker 4: the car and it's hard for him to stand in
- 7:05Speaker 4: victory Lane with his car, his team, his guys. You know,
- 7:09Speaker 4: he's such a great sport and a professional, even at
- 7:12Speaker 4: this young age. Takes everything in stride. He understands the
- 7:15Speaker 4: program and the process and how things.
- 7:18Speaker 6: He never bucked our.
- 7:20Speaker 4: Insisting that he needed to get out of the car
- 7:22Speaker 4: as soon as possible. He never questioned that or or
- 7:26Speaker 4: wanted to, you know, offer up a differing opinion. So
- 7:31Speaker 4: he understands the path forward and how we need to
- 7:34Speaker 4: prioritize his health over even this season. He's got an
- 7:39Speaker 4: incredible career in front of him that we need to
- 7:41Speaker 4: make sure he's ready for. But yeah, just happy for
- 7:44Speaker 4: Parker everything that he's kind of been through and his
- 7:47Speaker 4: driving career and especially what he went through in February
- 7:50Speaker 4: with the truck deal to be able to have an
- 7:52Speaker 4: opportunity to kind of celebrate and enjoy himself and he
- 7:57Speaker 4: represented us incredibly well.
- 7:59Speaker 10: So just thankful for that.
- 8:00Speaker 4: We had the best engines at the track tonight with Hendrick,
- 8:05Speaker 4: great pit cru our pit crew I think was plus
- 8:07Speaker 4: six tonight on eighty eight. Pretty much strategy. I think
- 8:09Speaker 4: this changing drivers and all that stuff got us an
- 8:12Speaker 4: opportunity to sort of do some things to be able
- 8:14Speaker 4: to leap frog and get Parker the track position you
- 8:16Speaker 4: needed at the end, and he hung on to it,
- 8:18Speaker 4: did a good job.
- 8:19Speaker 9: This is the final LAPP.

- 10:12Speaker 6: Coming up.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Scott Clinton is going to join us. Mallory is going
- 10:15Speaker 1: to be here as well, here on this Wednesday afternoon
- 10:20Speaker 1: edition of The Big Show. Well, thank you for being
- 10:24Speaker 1: with us. I am paying semi. By the way, Scott
- 10:28Speaker 1: tribally did get back to me. So the wild Man
- 10:32Speaker 1: will be with us tomorrow. I don't know if he's
- 10:34Speaker 1: in New York at the Open. He usually is at
- 10:38Speaker 1: least one week, and I don't know if it's the
- 10:39Speaker 1: first week or next week, the last week. We will see.
- 10:43Speaker 1: I never know where he is, but he will give
- 10:46Speaker 1: us everything that's going on at the US Open this
- 10:52Speaker 1: week and as he sees it next week. So he
- 10:56Speaker 1: will join us tomorrow, either from the Open or not
- 11:01Speaker 1: from the Open, and we'll talk a little. Tennessee as
- 11:05Speaker 1: our professional tennis correspondent has been since the late fifties.
- 11:09Speaker 1: By the way, Scott's Scott's been around a while now.
- 11:14Speaker 1: And you know when he first when he first was here,
- 11:21Speaker 1: obviously he was an assistant at Texas A and M,
- 11:24Speaker 1: and then he hit the big time. He moved to
- 11:26Speaker 1: Florida and started getting involved in not the day and
- 11:29Speaker 1: him isn't a big time, but this was he went
- 11:31Speaker 1: into professional in that area. Okay, so here's the deal.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Let's hear from Mike Elko. He visited with the media
- 11:42Speaker 1: on Monday. We will have coach Elko during game week
- 11:46Speaker 1: all throughout the season. Mondays at one thirty, he will
- 11:50Speaker 1: be on the zone Live Monday at one thirty. Here
- 11:53Speaker 1: is part of what coach Elko had to say, Mike, do.
- 11:59Speaker 15: You have bench or play counts if you will for
- 12:01Speaker 15: young players as you try to get closer to SEC
- 12:03Speaker 15: play to make sure that they get to a level
- 12:06Speaker 15: that they're you're comfortable with playing with them.
- 12:08Speaker 10: No, I don't. I don't think so.
- 12:10Speaker 16: I think it's you go into every game with kind
- 12:13Speaker 16: of a feel for how many reps each kid's earned.
- 12:16Speaker 16: You know, this kid's gone through camp and he's, you know,
- 12:19Speaker 16: the clear cut starter, he's the number one at his spot,
- 12:22Speaker 16: and so we want to play him eighty eighty five
- 12:24Speaker 16: ninety percent. You know, this kid has really earned an opportunity.
- 12:29Speaker 16: We're trying to figure out how to get him thirty
- 12:31Speaker 16: thirty five plays in this game. I don't know that
- 12:33Speaker 16: any of that is class related. I think it's more
- 12:36Speaker 16: just performance related. And then you evaluate, right, and so
- 12:41Speaker 16: you go into game one with a plan and you
- 12:43Speaker 16: kind of see how that plays out, and inevitably, someone
- 12:46Speaker 16: in a limited role will play better than you thought
- 12:49Speaker 16: he might, and you'll elevate his and someone will play
- 12:52Speaker 16: a little lesser than you thought, and you'll try to
- 12:54Speaker 16: figure out how to make that work as well. And
- 12:57Speaker 16: I don't know that you're thinking about it in terms
- 12:59Speaker 16: of building towards anything.
- 13:01Speaker 10: I think you're just trying to.
- 13:03Speaker 16: Get your roster right and you do all of this
- 13:06Speaker 16: internal competition to try to figure out what it's going
- 13:10Speaker 16: to look like. But until you play somebody else, there's
- 13:13Speaker 16: always that variable that's the unknown, right and and.
- 13:16Speaker 10: What will it look like?
- 13:17Speaker 16: Okay, it's looked like this for twenty five practices against
- 13:20Speaker 16: Texas A and M, but now under lights game conditions atmosphere,
- 13:26Speaker 16: what does it look like? And I think you try
- 13:28Speaker 16: to adjust to the best you can as you go
- 13:29Speaker 16: through and see all that coach all the way.
- 13:31Speaker 17: In the back Donna coach Friday, we talked to Willie
- 13:35Speaker 17: and he talked about just the way that players have
- 13:37Speaker 17: taken initiative, whether it be taking extra reps, watching film
- 13:41Speaker 17: on their own. Just how pleased are you with the
- 13:43Speaker 17: way they've attacked the preparation so far?
- 13:46Speaker 16: Yeah, I think it's been really good. I think we've
- 13:48Speaker 16: acted like a veteran team. I think we challenge them
- 13:51Speaker 16: going into camp saying, you know, you can do two things.
- 13:55Speaker 10: When you're an experienced group.
- 13:57Speaker 16: One is you can kind of coast your way through
- 13:59Speaker 16: it because you've been there, because you've done it, and
- 14:03Speaker 16: then really not put in the preparation or the work
- 14:06Speaker 16: that you need to to go out and play at
- 14:08Speaker 16: your peak levels this year. Or you can say I've
- 14:12Speaker 16: been through it, but I didn't have the results that
- 14:14Speaker 16: I wanted. And if I drive myself to just be
- 14:17Speaker 16: a little bit better, and each and every one of
- 14:19Speaker 16: us do that, there's something we can go out and
- 14:21Speaker 16: we can achieve and we can accomplish. And I've been
- 14:23Speaker 16: really play out with how they've handled that. I think
- 14:26Speaker 16: that's across the board. I think both sides of the ball.
- 14:28Speaker 16: You've got a lot of veteran guys who have been
- 14:32Speaker 16: really really professional about how they've come out and handled
- 14:35Speaker 16: their business. And I think that's been really really good
- 14:37Speaker 16: to see and hopefully that continues as we go into
- 14:39Speaker 16: the year.
- 14:40Speaker 17: And then Des Rix Jbayman talked about how he feels
- 14:44Speaker 17: like he's been a shining star throughout camp. Just what
- 14:46Speaker 17: kind of growth have you seen from him?
- 14:48Speaker 10: Yeah, a lot.
- 14:49Speaker 16: I think you know, Des got put in a situation
- 14:52Speaker 16: last year as a young kid where you know, we
- 14:54Speaker 16: weren't as deep as we wanted to be. Jaymon Thomas
- 14:57Speaker 16: was dealing with nagging injuries all year, and I don't
- 15:00Speaker 16: know that he ever quite played to the level that
- 15:02Speaker 16: he wanted to or we hoped he could, and I
- 15:04Speaker 16: think that put a lot of stress on Dez. And
- 15:06Speaker 16: so there were times, you know, in the beginning middle
- 15:09Speaker 16: of the year where Dez was playing at a really,
- 15:11Speaker 16: really high level. I think as a young kid, I
- 15:13Speaker 16: don't know that he was quite ready for the amount
- 15:15Speaker 16: of snaps that he had to play last year, and
- 15:17Speaker 16: I think his body started breaking down. I think his
- 15:19Speaker 16: mental focus started breaking down, and I think he would
- 15:21Speaker 16: tell you that if you asked him. And it's just
- 15:24Speaker 16: been good to see him take the next step, you know,
- 15:28Speaker 16: And I think he's very hungry to prove that he's
- 15:30Speaker 16: a better player than maybe he put on tape the
- 15:32Speaker 16: last few games. And obviously we know he is and
- 15:35Speaker 16: we believe he is, and so be good for him
- 15:38Speaker 16: to kind of go out with a fresh slate this
- 15:40Speaker 16: year and kind of show everybody what he's really capable of.
- 15:43Speaker 10: Coach to the right one.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Mike.
- 15:46Speaker 13: Have not asked you, of course, to give away any
- 15:48Speaker 13: secrets or strategies or anything like that, but you.
- 15:50Speaker 10: Know, wouldn't because you know I won't.
- 15:52Speaker 13: If you would, I would have. But with Leon being
- 15:58Speaker 13: ready to go and gosh, the depth you all have
- 16:02Speaker 13: a running back and all the things we've been hear about,
- 16:05Speaker 13: you know, freshman guys and and EJ and things like that,
- 16:10Speaker 13: how do you balance getting the ball together And is
- 16:13Speaker 13: it kind of thing where just go with somebody if
- 16:16Speaker 13: he's having a good game with hot or do you
- 16:17Speaker 13: go in with I don't know a schedule for guys.
- 16:21Speaker 13: I just wonder how you know you deal with with
- 16:24Speaker 13: an embarrassment of riches at running back.
- 16:26Speaker 16: Yeah, for the record, you've been hearing about all those
- 16:28Speaker 16: guys from yourselves, just so we're on the same page.
- 16:30Speaker 16: It's you guys who have been writing about them and
- 16:32Speaker 16: listening to yourselves.
- 16:33Speaker 10: Right about them. But yeah, I think we'll have a plan.
- 16:37Speaker 16: I think we'll have a plan on how we want
- 16:39Speaker 16: the carries to go, who we want to get touches.
- 16:42Speaker 16: I think we'll have certain you know, they have different
- 16:45Speaker 16: skill sets and so you have certain things in mind. Okay,
- 16:48Speaker 16: these are le'veons plays, these are Rubens plays. Uh, this
- 16:51Speaker 16: is where we're going to get a Mari and EJ involved.
- 16:54Speaker 16: These are the things the young kid can handle, and
- 16:56Speaker 16: this is what we want to get him in there
- 16:57Speaker 16: to do, you know. And then you got to you know,
- 17:00Speaker 16: and that's like every rotation. You're set up, You get
- 17:02Speaker 16: into the game and you try to figure out what's working,
- 17:05Speaker 16: what's not working, who's playing at a high level, and
- 17:08Speaker 16: you roll with it. And I think Trooper's done a really,
- 17:11Speaker 16: really good job with that. I think we talk a
- 17:13Speaker 16: lot in our building about the need to have a
- 17:15Speaker 16: lot of really talented running backs. I think running back
- 17:18Speaker 16: is the position that gets beat up the most. Obviously
- 17:21Speaker 16: as you go through the year, they take the most hits,
- 17:23Speaker 16: they take the most pounding, and as you put it
- 17:27Speaker 16: in an embarrassment of riches can become very thin, very
- 17:30Speaker 16: quick because of injury. And so it's important that we
- 17:34Speaker 16: get everybody ready. It's important that everybody understands it's a
- 17:36Speaker 16: long season, and it's important that everybody understands that there's
- 17:41Speaker 16: going to come a time where we're going to need
- 17:42Speaker 16: each and every one of them to shoulder a load
- 17:45Speaker 16: and a burden to help us win a game to
- 17:47Speaker 16: keep this thing moving forward.
- 17:48Speaker 13: And now that, of course, with an off season behind
- 17:51Speaker 13: you and a spring football and a camp all this time.
- 17:57Speaker 6: How strong of.
- 17:58Speaker 13: The field do you have for the issues that you
- 18:02Speaker 13: referred to after the Las Vegas pope being not only
- 18:07Speaker 13: addressed but solved.
- 18:09Speaker 10: I mean, you won't know you go out there and play.
- 18:11Speaker 16: I mean, obviously I've said this before, you know, and
- 18:14Speaker 16: we want to just keep going back to that. But like,
- 18:20Speaker 16: it's not that I didn't It's not that I walked
- 18:22Speaker 16: into last year going, oh my gosh, we have all
- 18:24Speaker 16: these issues.
- 18:24Speaker 10: You know, you thought you were in a place, and.
- 18:26Speaker 16: Then you get out in the games and you have
- 18:27Speaker 16: to do things on the run and on the fly
- 18:29Speaker 16: and they don't go the way you hope they will,
- 18:32Speaker 16: and you've got to adjust. And so yeah, obviously, over
- 18:36Speaker 16: the last nine months, we believe we have solved the problem.
- 18:39Speaker 10: We believe we've.
- 18:40Speaker 16: Recruited and coached and did the things we need to
- 18:42Speaker 16: do to fix and solve the problem.
- 18:44Speaker 10: The reality is we'll find out Saturday night, and I'm
- 18:47Speaker 10: sure we'll be judging on that.
- 18:49Speaker 18: Sorry to the right, Carter, Mike, have you decided who
- 18:54Speaker 18: your backup quarterback is and maybe what went into that decision.
- 18:57Speaker 16: Yeah, we're gonna go with Miles O'Neil. I think Miles
- 18:59Speaker 16: had a really strong camp. I think he's a kid
- 19:02Speaker 16: that we believe has a really, really bright future. He's
- 19:05Speaker 16: got a big, strong arm, and so you know, he
- 19:08Speaker 16: kind of went out and won that job, and so
- 19:10Speaker 16: he'll go into the year's number two and he'll be
- 19:12Speaker 16: ready to go.
- 19:13Speaker 10: Something happens to Marcel, and.
- 19:15Speaker 19: Sticking with Marcel just maybe was the biggest growth you
- 19:18Speaker 19: saw from him in camp.
- 19:19Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 19:20Speaker 16: Again, like I think it's just and I keep saying
- 19:23Speaker 16: this and it sounds repetitive.
- 19:24Speaker 10: I don't mean for it to be.
- 19:25Speaker 16: But like, the second time you do anything, you can
- 19:29Speaker 16: do it so much better, you know, and you know,
- 19:31Speaker 16: maybe not even to the same degree that.
- 19:33Speaker 10: Your third or fourth time.
- 19:34Speaker 16: Right, just year one, you don't have any idea and
- 19:37Speaker 16: you go into it as a starter and you don't
- 19:38Speaker 16: know what it means. You don't know what film study means,
- 19:41Speaker 16: you don't know why coaches on you about all these
- 19:43Speaker 16: little details and little things until you get out in
- 19:46Speaker 16: the game and the game's moving as fast as as
- 19:49Speaker 16: it is, and the speed of the game is as
- 19:50Speaker 16: fast as it is, and you're maybe a step slower
- 19:53Speaker 16: at times than you really want to be, and you
- 19:56Speaker 16: learn that when you.
- 19:57Speaker 10: Go through experience, and so I think he came.
- 19:59Speaker 16: Out of all of that with a really good understanding
- 20:02Speaker 16: of what it takes to be a quarterback in the SEC.
- 20:04Speaker 16: And I think to his credit, he has worked really
- 20:07Speaker 16: hard at improving that. I think that's improving his footwork.
- 20:12Speaker 16: His ability to diagnose the defense is an ability to
- 20:15Speaker 16: put the ball where it needs to go.
- 20:18Speaker 10: Marcel has zero problems throwing the football.
- 20:21Speaker 16: Marcell's got to get his feet, his rhythm is timing
- 20:23Speaker 16: in line with the passing game in order to deliver
- 20:26Speaker 16: the ball the way he's capable of delivering it. And
- 20:30Speaker 16: I think we've seen that now again. You've got to
- 20:32Speaker 16: go out in Kyle Field and you got to deliver.
- 20:34Speaker 10: And that's what Saturday night will be.
- 20:36Speaker 18: Coach to the left, Mark, Mike, you've got a lot
- 20:39Speaker 18: of new guys on defense. You know, not everybody, but
- 20:44Speaker 18: you've got still quite a few new faces. How confident
- 20:47Speaker 18: are you in what you've seen from this group as
- 20:50Speaker 18: you go into you know, a not an easy opener,
- 20:54Speaker 18: and obviously Notre Dame two weeks away.
- 20:57Speaker 16: Well, certainly don't care about Notre Dame two weeks away,
- 21:00Speaker 16: and certainly think we have a really challenging opener with
- 21:02Speaker 16: a team that has a returning quarterback and all those
- 21:05Speaker 16: skilled kids we talked about and all the talent they
- 21:07Speaker 16: have coming back.
- 21:09Speaker 10: So let's make sure we say that the right way.
- 21:12Speaker 16: I think the one thing that's the one thing that's
- 21:14Speaker 16: cool about where we are now is is we have
- 21:17Speaker 16: a lot of new faces, but we also have eight
- 21:19Speaker 16: returning starters. And so what you have is you have
- 21:22Speaker 16: a group that knows what they're doing to help bring
- 21:25Speaker 16: the guys who are new along. I think that was
- 21:28Speaker 16: part of our challenge last year, is is even the
- 21:31Speaker 16: returning starters didn't really know how to play football in
- 21:34Speaker 16: this defense. And so you look at Tory and York,
- 21:36Speaker 16: who's a returning starter, but he's having to figure it
- 21:39Speaker 16: all out, which means he can't help Jordan Lockhart come
- 21:43Speaker 16: along with him, and he can't help Noah McHale come
- 21:45Speaker 16: along with him because he's buried in his own business
- 21:49Speaker 16: trying to figure stuff out. I think we have a
- 21:51Speaker 16: lot less older guys trying to figure stuff out now,
- 21:55Speaker 16: and that helps, you know, and so you could see
- 21:57Speaker 16: Cash as how talking to a T. J. Serci or
- 21:59Speaker 16: a day on Hayes about how things work around here.
- 22:03Speaker 16: You can see Al, Regis and Tyler, and yet I'm
- 22:06Speaker 16: having conversations about how game plans go over, you know,
- 22:08Speaker 16: and so that helps tremendously when it's not everybody. And
- 22:13Speaker 16: so I think that that allows some of those new
- 22:16Speaker 16: faces to acclimate a little bit quicker to what we're
- 22:19Speaker 16: trying to do and what we're trying to get done.
- 22:21Speaker 6: Coach to the right, Travis, Yeah, I believe those has crossed.
- 22:26Speaker 6: Tommy Robinson, what does he?
- 22:28Speaker 10: Would you remember him?
- 22:29Speaker 18: Like a s him as a coach and was the
- 22:30Speaker 18: light going up against the guys that you kind of
- 22:31Speaker 18: shared rooms.
- 22:32Speaker 10: With like that?
- 22:33Speaker 16: Yeah, Tommy was here when I was here. Tommy was
- 22:35Speaker 16: coaching the running backs. Tommy's a great person first and
- 22:38Speaker 16: foremost obviously a phenomenal coach. Spent a lot of time
- 22:40Speaker 16: coaching in this league, coach a lot of NFL backs,
- 22:44Speaker 16: coach some really talented backs here at Texas A and
- 22:46Speaker 16: M and so.
- 22:48Speaker 10: Really good family man, really good family.
- 22:50Speaker 16: And I think it's just part of kind of what
- 22:52Speaker 16: happens in this profession. You know, so many intertwined circles,
- 22:55Speaker 16: you kind of constantly coming across people, and so it'd
- 22:57Speaker 16: be great to see him Saturday.
- 23:00Speaker 20: In the back Tyler Michael, I was going to ask
- 23:03Speaker 20: about Tommy, but just kind of from a coach's perspective,
- 23:05Speaker 20: What does that like to go back and coach out
- 23:07Speaker 20: of venue at a place that you know you were
- 23:09Speaker 20: up before. Tommy's got his connections, Jeff Traylor's got his
- 23:13Speaker 20: own kind of connections to the Bill. What is that life?
- 23:17Speaker 16: Yeah, I'm trying to think. I don't think I've ever
- 23:19Speaker 16: done it. I'm trying to go back in my brain.
- 23:21Speaker 16: I don't think I've ever Yeah, I haven't. I've never
- 23:23Speaker 16: gotten back and coached somewhere i'd been. Yeah, never once
- 23:28Speaker 16: in my career have I done that. So I don't
- 23:30Speaker 16: know the answer to that one. I'd imagine it's I'd
- 23:32Speaker 16: imagine it's an interesting feeling. I'll do it in a
- 23:34Speaker 16: couple of weeks for the first time. But yeah, I'm sure,
- 23:38Speaker 16: I'm sure it brings back some emotions as you go.
- 23:40Speaker 16: I've I've coached against former teams and former players. I've
- 23:44Speaker 16: just never gotten back to the venue before coach to
- 23:47Speaker 16: the left.
- 23:49Speaker 21: You guys reshuffled the offensive line have been tracing to center.
- 23:53Speaker 4: What have you seen from that group late in camp
- 23:54Speaker 4: and then does the Rubens Bothery injury kind of alter
- 23:57Speaker 4: your plans there?
- 23:58Speaker 16: Yeah, we didn't reach out for the offensive line. Trey's
- 24:01Speaker 16: been playing left tackle, the Tray's played center. He's been
- 24:03Speaker 16: doing that since I got here, so that wasn't a reshuffling.
- 24:08Speaker 16: I think Trey's got flexibility to play both positions. I
- 24:11Speaker 16: think we're gonna always try to figure out what the
- 24:13Speaker 16: best vive is for us to put out there and play,
- 24:17Speaker 16: and then we'll go from there to the left.
- 24:20Speaker 10: I'm looking at your return game, is Bussy the guy
- 24:23Speaker 10: on punts? And what about on kickoffs? And what are
- 24:25Speaker 10: you looking from that group? Maybe in regards to last
- 24:28Speaker 10: year moving forward?
- 24:29Speaker 16: Yeah, I think trying to get more explosive. And I
- 24:32Speaker 16: think that's not just the returners. I think we've got
- 24:34Speaker 16: to do a better job in our return units of
- 24:36Speaker 16: being able to set up returns and being successful. I think,
- 24:40Speaker 16: you know Casey concepts, you and Terry Bussey, they're kind
- 24:42Speaker 16: of in the competition to figure out who will go
- 24:44Speaker 16: back there and return punts. It would kind of be Terry,
- 24:47Speaker 16: Jamari and Morrow and Rubin from a kickoff perspective, and
- 24:51Speaker 16: so that's kind of the group of guys that that
- 24:53Speaker 16: we anticipate being involved, and it's an emphasis for us
- 24:57Speaker 16: from a unit standpoint, especially punt return. The way the
- 25:01Speaker 16: way the game has shifted now, I think punt return
- 25:03Speaker 16: has taken a much stronger emphasis. You know, every kickoff
- 25:06Speaker 16: seems to go out of bounds now and so the
- 25:08Speaker 16: kickoff kickoff return game has gotten a lot more limited
- 25:12Speaker 16: in terms of your opportunity to impact the game.
- 25:14Speaker 10: And so I think that's kind of elevated a little
- 25:16Speaker 10: bit of the priority.
- 25:17Speaker 16: On punk block, punt return to make that unit a
- 25:20Speaker 16: unit that can impact the game anything else.
- 25:23Speaker 1: For coach all right, that's no thank you, that's Mike
- 25:28Speaker 1: Elco six o'clock. The Roadrunners played the Aggies twice, doesn't
- 25:37Speaker 1: seem like that long ago. Twenty sixteen was twenty three
- 25:40Speaker 1: to ten, twenty nineteen was forty five to fourteen. This
- 25:47Speaker 1: is a team that's only been playing football for fifteen years.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Jeff Trailer, by the way, was at least I will
- 25:56Speaker 1: say they kicked the top on Jeff Trailer here when
- 26:04Speaker 1: they were looking to replace Jimbo. This guy is is
- 26:11Speaker 1: a pretty good football coach. He is UH seventeen and
- 26:18Speaker 1: seven against teams from the State of Texas will probably
- 26:26Speaker 1: play against the largest crowd they've ever played with. We'll see.
- 26:33Speaker 1: They played three years ago in Austin one oh two,
- 26:42Speaker 1: five hundred and twenty saw that game. The Kyle Field
- 26:47Speaker 1: capacity is one O two seven thirty three. There were
- 26:55Speaker 1: forty thousand student tickets pulled, I which I don't think
- 27:03Speaker 1: that will be like that all year. I could be
- 27:06Speaker 1: wrong about that, but I think thirty Wasn't it thirty
- 27:11Speaker 1: that has been pulled in the past, and I haven't
- 27:17Speaker 1: I need to ask that question, and by golly, I will.
- 27:22Speaker 1: But I don't know if this is going to be
- 27:25Speaker 1: mattybe forty thousand students all year, or is just like
- 27:30Speaker 1: this is a special thing now do too. I don't
- 27:36Speaker 1: think they're gonna let thirty forty thousand students in the
- 27:40Speaker 1: game because they can't afford to. I mean, that's the
- 27:43Speaker 1: bottom line. What's a pass cost? Now? Do you know?
- 27:47Speaker 1: I don't know what an athletic pass is? Okay, Yeah,
- 27:52Speaker 1: they've gotten didn't used to be anywhere. I think I
- 27:58Speaker 1: paid fifteen dollars for a all athletic pass. Yeah I know,
- 28:04Speaker 1: but back then that fifteen dollars, by golly, that was
- 28:07Speaker 1: a lot of money. My my tuition was was three
- 28:12Speaker 1: dollars per semester hour, so what are you laughing at that?
- 28:18Speaker 1: I think it may have gone up to four dollars
- 28:20Speaker 1: by the time I left this semester hour. So he's
- 28:24Speaker 1: looking at me like I'm lying. I'm not lying to you, Matt,
- 28:28Speaker 1: and I'm telling you the truth. That's a fact. But yeah,
- 28:33Speaker 1: I don't I don't think there'll be forty thousand students
- 28:36Speaker 1: at every game. I just I don't see that happening.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Could be wrong. Somebody call it correct me. I'm sure
- 28:42Speaker 1: they will if I'm wrong. But I think this is
- 28:45Speaker 1: like a one off deal for the for the opening game,
- 28:49Speaker 1: and they can afford to do that because it's utsa right.
- 28:53Speaker 1: So the demand, while high, not going to be what
- 28:56Speaker 1: it's like when when the big boys start start come
- 29:00Speaker 1: to tout Auburn on the twenty seventh, Mississippi State on
- 29:07Speaker 1: the fourth, Florida on the eleventh, and then they don't
- 29:12Speaker 1: play for like a month at home, So okay, we're
- 29:16Speaker 1: gonna take a break, come back here in a minute.
- 29:20Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 29:21Speaker 1: I guess Tiafa won his match because they're not playing anymore.
- 29:25Speaker 1: So I guess Tiafa won the tiebreaker in straight sets.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Sevcheck Service Center. Look, you're starting on the road. High
- 29:34Speaker 1: school's junior highs starting. You're going to be traveling to
- 29:38Speaker 1: watch the kids, the grandkids. You're gonna be going to
- 29:41Speaker 1: Aggie games. Maybe you need to get by and see
- 29:46Speaker 1: Pat and his staff at sev Checks. Let them go
- 29:49Speaker 1: over your car, your truck from top to bottom, front
- 29:53Speaker 1: to back, belts, hoses, fluid levels, tires, all of that
- 30:00Speaker 1: before you get on the road. The garage area has
- 30:04Speaker 1: opened seven to eight Monday through Saturday. The gasoline islands
- 30:09Speaker 1: are open six thirty to eight Monday through Friday and
- 30:15Speaker 1: seven to eight on Saturdays. And by the way, Sevchek's
- 30:18Speaker 1: garage is seven to four on Saturdays. They've only been
- 30:22Speaker 1: doing this over fifty three years, so there's a few
- 30:25Speaker 1: of them over there that know what's going on. Foreign
- 30:27Speaker 1: or domestic gasoline or diesel engine. They do all of
- 30:30Speaker 1: that and more with a smile. Sefcheck Service Center twenty
- 30:35Speaker 1: two hundred Longmarch, just down from the Post office in
- 30:38Speaker 1: College Station.
- 30:39Speaker 10: Let's talk about it, Okay.
- 30:41Speaker 3: The Carne's Pup Calling Show brought to you by texagg

- 31:00Speaker 19: be the largest member owned agricultural cooperative in the state
- 31:03Speaker 19: of Texas, with the mission to provide agriculture with the
- 31:06Speaker 19: needed products, programs and services. Everything.
- 31:10Speaker 9: Agg we have it, all of it.

- 31:22Speaker 22: best senior care services. Bras's Homecare is a family and

- 31:45Speaker 22: set up a consultation, go online at Brasshomecare dot com.
- 32:00Speaker 2: Think I should speak to.
- 32:03Speaker 3: You, stranger.
- 32:08Speaker 2: Your problem is clear now to me. You think that
- 32:18Speaker 2: the whole worlds against you, and you tell everyone, Yeah.
- 32:29Speaker 1: I'm pluming playing a little music today that most of
- 32:31Speaker 1: you probably hadn't heard. This is goes back way back
- 32:37Speaker 1: in the sixties for a little Willie. It is all Willie. Wednesday,
- 32:44Speaker 1: Mallory's coming up. We have put together, we think the
- 32:48Speaker 1: definitive entertainment program on the engagement. It took us, you know,
- 32:58Speaker 1: a day plus to do it, you know, when this
- 33:02Speaker 1: big announcement broke yesterday. And I know we'll always remember
- 33:05Speaker 1: where we all were when that announcement came. I like
- 33:09Speaker 1: the Kennedy assassination for some of us nine to eleven,
- 33:13Speaker 1: but we'll all remember where we all were when that
- 33:16Speaker 1: big announcement came. I call Mallory up and I say, hey,
- 33:20Speaker 1: there's no way today that we can you know, do
- 33:22Speaker 1: this justice. So we spent the better part of twenty
- 33:26Speaker 1: four hours putting this thing together, and I think that
- 33:30Speaker 1: you will really enjoy it. This afternoon at five point thirty,
- 33:34Speaker 1: so phone the neighbors, wake the kids, tell them that
- 33:39Speaker 1: the definitive program on the engagement is coming up here
- 33:45Speaker 1: on our program. So this is what we do, and
- 33:50Speaker 1: started to say we're proud of it, We're not necessarily.
- 33:52Speaker 1: We'll see how it goes. I have hopes that we'll
- 33:56Speaker 1: be entering this into awards categories all of the world
- 34:01Speaker 1: here after today's program, we're joined in studio by By
- 34:07Speaker 1: the way, that envelope belongs to you in front of you.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Thank me later, Thank you Chip. Yes, wait a minute,
- 34:16Speaker 1: are you doing a pregame show Saturday?
- 34:18Speaker 6: Yes?
- 34:18Speaker 1: What time?
- 34:20Speaker 6: Three hours before the kick?
- 34:23Speaker 1: Three o'clock.
- 34:25Speaker 6: Well, since I'm not formatting the show and getting my
- 34:33Speaker 6: guests while sitting in Rhode Island, yes, it is three o'clock.
- 34:37Speaker 6: So anybody that I told that the game started at seven,
- 34:42Speaker 6: it really starts six. So all my giars going back
- 34:46Speaker 6: to Rhode Island. No, I'm saying while I was in
- 34:49Speaker 6: Rhode Island, set in my back cat in my So
- 34:52Speaker 6: you're phone switched it to seven o'clock.
- 34:58Speaker 1: So you're thinking people may be late, they may miss
- 35:01Speaker 1: the show. Well, yeah, my guess I would call them
- 35:04Speaker 1: back if I were you. Yeah, I kind of squared
- 35:07Speaker 1: it away.
- 35:09Speaker 6: Yeah. So we've got Ed Swarez sideline reporter for UTSA.
- 35:15Speaker 6: We've got Trev Albert, I mean not Trev Elbert. Uh uh, anyway,
- 35:22Speaker 6: you've got guests. Yeah, we have Bucky McMillan. So, by
- 35:27Speaker 6: the way, have you met Bucky McMillan.
- 35:29Speaker 1: No, I have not.
- 35:31Speaker 6: I'm looking forward to as many.
- 35:32Speaker 1: People as possible have tried to keep us apart. Well,
- 35:36Speaker 1: show up, Ed, Yes, that's way too early for me.
- 35:41Speaker 1: Ed be too hot or it may be rating.
- 35:45Speaker 6: Either way, it's gonna be both.
- 35:47Speaker 10: Be there.
- 35:48Speaker 4: Uh.
- 35:49Speaker 1: Will be joined by Eddy Everett on play by play
- 35:52Speaker 1: and Jay Riley as the analyst.
- 35:56Speaker 4: Yes.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Pat Evans will be the pregame host for the UTSA
- 36:01Speaker 1: Radio network.
- 36:02Speaker 6: Starts two hours, they go two hours, I go three.
- 36:05Speaker 6: That's why I can have it on.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Good for them, seven sixty the ticket out of San Antonio.
- 36:12Speaker 6: Case you're wondering, well, I need to know because I'm
- 36:15Speaker 6: introducing There you go.
- 36:16Speaker 23: But I'm happy it is my guy because he said yes, no,
- 36:21Speaker 23: he said, wait a minute, My pregame shows what time
- 36:26Speaker 23: do you think the game starts?
- 36:29Speaker 1: So he's the one that cluded you in. Oh yeah, okay,
- 36:32Speaker 1: he's my favorite. Good.
- 36:34Speaker 4: Uh.
- 36:35Speaker 1: Well, this is my problem with all of the national
- 36:38Speaker 1: things because when they talk about kickoffs, it's always Eastern
- 36:41Speaker 1: time and it's not Texas time, which it should be.
- 36:44Speaker 6: Where everything Well, my Google calendar is smart enough to
- 36:50Speaker 6: change the time. Nice, No, it's not.
- 36:53Speaker 1: Oh it did not.
- 36:54Speaker 6: It changed it's seven.
- 36:56Speaker 1: Oh oh, because you were up there, because I was
- 36:58Speaker 1: on Yeah. Yeah, No, the kickoffs at six. We're not
- 37:02Speaker 1: trying to confuse anybody.
- 37:04Speaker 6: Three to five in front of the zone. Okay, come
- 37:06Speaker 6: visit us, come come meet coach McMillan. Kickoff is at
- 37:11Speaker 6: This is the first public appearance by Mucky Bucky McMillan
- 37:16Speaker 6: since his introductory press conference.
- 37:19Speaker 1: Is that true?
- 37:20Speaker 6: I don't know. Sounds good.
- 37:21Speaker 1: I don't think that's true. Bucky's been everywhere, man.
- 37:24Speaker 6: Oh, he did throw out first pitch, Aggie.
- 37:26Speaker 1: Baseball, He's been everywhere. Yeah, so just like the truck driver,
- 37:31Speaker 1: he's been everywhere. Okay, where do you want to start.
- 37:37Speaker 1: We're not going to spend a lot of time on this.
- 37:38Speaker 1: Let's start with baseball. Your DoD came back last night.
- 37:42Speaker 6: Yes, he did in.
- 37:44Speaker 1: A big way.
- 37:47Speaker 6: Two walks, two walks on eight pitches that that pitcher
- 37:51Speaker 6: did not want anywhere close to him.
- 37:53Speaker 1: Well, he can't get his batting eye back if they're
- 37:55Speaker 1: not going to throw the ball over the plate to him.
- 37:57Speaker 6: Right. We hit the ball too hard two times? Yeah,
- 38:03Speaker 6: I don't know about that. I was watching him, telling
- 38:05Speaker 6: you Hunter Brown pitch. Well, except for four hundred runs
- 38:09Speaker 6: after Carlos, I mean after Pina made two errors on
- 38:14Speaker 6: the same play. I don't think that has happened to
- 38:18Speaker 6: him as a major league ballplayer.
- 38:21Speaker 1: Well, you can't afford to do that. Nope, even with
- 38:24Speaker 1: the Rockies. You can't even give the Rockies four or
- 38:28Speaker 1: five outs. They'll make you pay.
- 38:31Speaker 6: Well, the Astros had won eleven straight against the Rockies
- 38:35Speaker 6: before that.
- 38:36Speaker 1: They won, that's true.
- 38:38Speaker 6: And that was the second most wins in a row
- 38:42Speaker 6: at Minute May Park since beating Seattle twelve in a
- 38:48Speaker 6: row three years ago.
- 38:49Speaker 1: And the Rangers. Don't forget the Rangers.
- 38:51Speaker 6: They had not beating the Rangers twelve games in a row.
- 38:53Speaker 1: They beat him eleven times in a row. Right, I
- 38:56Speaker 1: said twelve back when things were really really bleak.
- 39:01Speaker 6: Oh well, how many games in a row did the
- 39:03Speaker 6: Rangers win? Like thirty six? Over?
- 39:06Speaker 1: I missed those years. I got to tell you, I
- 39:08Speaker 1: missed the years.
- 39:09Speaker 6: That's right. You got to side what young winner?
- 39:13Speaker 1: When was that this year? No, he's out vault.
- 39:16Speaker 6: He's gonna win at least four or five more games.
- 39:19Speaker 1: Okay, you think you're being funny. It's not funny.
- 39:22Speaker 6: Oh, it's funny that you've lost a starting pitcher. Welcome
- 39:25Speaker 6: to my world. It's not fun I don't have six
- 39:28Speaker 6: on the Decembl anymore.
- 39:30Speaker 1: It's not funny. There's seven on the DL in the
- 39:32Speaker 1: last eight days. That's not funny.
- 39:34Speaker 6: Oh so you're actually getting to the astros level of
- 39:37Speaker 6: losing people.
- 39:38Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, And I would argue that while not
- 39:41Speaker 1: to quite that level. All year long, every time you'd
- 39:46Speaker 1: think maybe they're getting a little groove going, somebody is
- 39:51Speaker 1: going out and and it's been more that all year
- 39:54Speaker 1: than like somebody, Oh you're out for the year, you're
- 39:56Speaker 1: out for the year. Well, they haven't had tons of that.
- 40:00Speaker 1: They've just had people, Oh you're out, you know, two
- 40:02Speaker 1: weeks and we'll see how it goes after that. You
- 40:05Speaker 1: know what I'm saying.
- 40:05Speaker 6: You like so that there's like Pina when he was
- 40:07Speaker 6: an All Star whatever and then he missed.
- 40:09Speaker 1: I don't keep up with that, So I don't really
- 40:11Speaker 1: six weeks. Yeah, I don't. I don't care how long.
- 40:13Speaker 6: You price, I mean, whatever, Alvarez, I don't care.
- 40:17Speaker 1: It doesn't matter. It's the wrong team, all right, that's
- 40:20Speaker 1: enough baseball, We'll be back. We'll talk some football. Astros

- 41:52Speaker 7: at home to the Colorado Rockies. With the loss, Houston

- 41:57Speaker 7: game skid. Hunt and Brown started on the mo for
- 42:00Speaker 7: the Houston Astros and toss six and two thirds, allowing
- 42:02Speaker 7: six hits and six runs, for only two of them
- 42:05Speaker 7: were earned.
- 42:06Speaker 1: The Astros were shut.
- 42:07Speaker 7: Down offensively by Rocky starter Tanner Gordon, who went six
- 42:11Speaker 7: innings allowing just one and run, and the Rockies bullpen
- 42:14Speaker 7: took it the rest of the way.
- 42:16Speaker 6: One other note, Jordan Alvarez was back.
- 42:18Speaker 7: In the lineup for the Astros for the first time
- 42:20Speaker 7: since May second, after being activated from the sixty day
- 42:24Speaker 7: injured list. I mean from the hand injury. Jordan went
- 42:27Speaker 7: over two with two walks. Astros will like to bounce
- 42:30Speaker 7: back in Game two of the series tomorrow night, first
- 42:32Speaker 7: pitch from Dacon Park except for seven to ten with
- 42:35Speaker 7: your Houston Astros report. I'm Jake Reap.

- 44:38Speaker 1: I welcome back, thanks for being with us. It is
- 44:40Speaker 1: all welly Wednesday, Scotland didn't is it with us? While
- 44:42Speaker 1: you were gone? The SEC went to nine conference games
- 44:48Speaker 1: with three permanent rivals, although they haven't all been announced yet.
- 44:55Speaker 6: Have any been announced?
- 44:56Speaker 1: No? I don't think so.
- 44:58Speaker 6: So we're just living in the impression that it's going
- 45:01Speaker 6: to be Texas and LSU and somebody else Arkansas.
- 45:06Speaker 1: These are SEC survey results. Okay, you ready, Yeah, Texas
- 45:15Speaker 1: for A and M Texas ninety eight percent, LSU eighty
- 45:19Speaker 1: six percent, Arkansas seventy nine percent, Oklahoma fifteen percent. Any
- 45:27Speaker 1: surprises about that?
- 45:28Speaker 6: Yeah, because I think it's gonna be Misssippi State.
- 45:31Speaker 1: That's what's been thrown out there, right for a long time.
- 45:34Speaker 6: Yeah, because Mississippi State is going to have Mississippi and well, LSU,
- 45:41Speaker 6: who's going to be Mississippi State's second?
- 45:43Speaker 1: I don't know. Kentucky and Alabama have been mentioned by
- 45:47Speaker 1: the fans at Mississippi State. Okay, Alabama fans, Auburn, Tennessee, LSU.
- 45:56Speaker 1: No surprise there, right, Yeah, Auburn fans again, no surprise
- 46:03Speaker 1: what that's surprised to be. Frankly, no, it's not is Auburn.
- 46:10Speaker 1: I mean Alabama? Georgia.
- 46:12Speaker 6: Yeah, Florida over Tennessee.
- 46:15Speaker 1: That's what it says. Okay, Tennessee fans were Alabama, Florida, Vanderbilt, Kentucky.
- 46:26Speaker 6: That ain't happening. You're not getting You're not getting rid
- 46:30Speaker 6: of the world's second largest outdoor cocktail party.
- 46:33Speaker 1: No, No, that's Florida, Georgia.
- 46:35Speaker 6: No, it's Florida, Tennessee. The second weekend and no, you're right,
- 46:40Speaker 6: it's what I'm talking about. But they played the second
- 46:42Speaker 6: weekend in October.
- 46:43Speaker 1: For how many Alabama and Tennessee have.
- 46:45Speaker 6: No, it's Florida and Tennessee.
- 46:47Speaker 1: No, No, you're confused. No I'm not, you're confused.
- 46:51Speaker 6: Peyton Manning was playing against Tennessee in that game for
- 46:55Speaker 6: four years.
- 46:55Speaker 1: And lost four times against Florida against Florida.
- 46:59Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, Tennessee in Florida, Florida, Tennessee and not going away.
- 47:04Speaker 1: Uh Tennessee, I was number two in the Florida list. Uh,
- 47:09Speaker 1: Tennessee doesn't want to play Florida.
- 47:12Speaker 6: That's what they're fan.
- 47:13Speaker 1: They're going to play. You know, they're going to play
- 47:18Speaker 1: Vanderbilt in Kentucky. I mean that's going to happen. So
- 47:21Speaker 1: it's going to be between Alabama and Florida. As to
- 47:24Speaker 1: who they continue playing on a permit.
- 47:26Speaker 6: Like Kentucky on a on a permanent basis.
- 47:29Speaker 1: Uh, they's just close proximity Kentucky. Did I say what
- 47:34Speaker 1: Kentucky wanted?
- 47:35Speaker 6: What did Kentucky fans want?
- 47:37Speaker 1: Tennessee, Vanderbilt, South Carolina. Everybody wants Vanderbilt. Not everybody can
- 47:46Speaker 1: play Vanderbilt. No, Not everybody can play Tennessee is the
- 47:49Speaker 1: only one who gets vander Not everybody can play Mississippi State.
- 47:54Speaker 6: Who had who did? Who had Mississippi State? Miss Kentucky?
- 47:58Speaker 6: Alabama for for Mississippi State. Yes, Alabama's not playing Mississippi State. Yeah,
- 48:05Speaker 6: probably not, not as a permanent thing. Probably not.
- 48:09Speaker 1: Alabama is going to play Auburn Tennessee and l s
- 48:11Speaker 1: U is a permanent thing, that's my guess.
- 48:14Speaker 6: Yeah. Hey Townsend takes first cent.
- 48:17Speaker 1: I don't know who that is. The American Yeah, she's good,
- 48:20Speaker 1: okay if you say so.
- 48:21Speaker 6: She was one that had the quarterfinal run at Wimbledon.
- 48:27Speaker 1: Arkansas. This is a no brainer. They voted Texas number one,
- 48:33Speaker 1: LSU number two, Missouri number three.
- 48:37Speaker 6: Yeah they don't. They don't want any part of A
- 48:38Speaker 6: and M anymore.
- 48:40Speaker 1: Um yeah, who could blame them. LSU wants A and M.
- 48:46Speaker 1: Of course they do, Ole, miss number one head of Alabama. Yes,
- 48:51Speaker 1: and then and then A and m Ole Miss.
- 48:54Speaker 6: Oh miss old miss LSU. I mean it's a no brainer.
- 48:57Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, Ole miss Mississippi State. L S you Arkansas.
- 49:03Speaker 1: They're probably not gonna get Arkansas, no, right, I mean
- 49:08Speaker 1: is getting Texas.
- 49:09Speaker 6: Texas Oklahoma, and you think it'll be Oklahoma in Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri.
- 49:19Speaker 1: They're not getting those three. Don't you think they'll get Texas?
- 49:25Speaker 6: Yep.
- 49:27Speaker 1: I don't know who else they're gonna get. Too bad.
- 49:30Speaker 1: They can't bring Colorado back.
- 49:32Speaker 4: Why?
- 49:33Speaker 1: Oh, you know they played some games over the years.
- 49:36Speaker 6: Not like Nebraska and Colorado.
- 49:38Speaker 1: That game needs to be played every year, Colorado State,
- 49:43Speaker 1: Colorado State, Colorado needs to be played every year. But
- 49:46Speaker 1: but Nebraska, Oklahoma, who'd.
- 49:48Speaker 6: Be the third? Who'd be the third one for Colorado?
- 49:50Speaker 6: Who's their third one?
- 49:51Speaker 1: Colorado third?
- 49:52Speaker 6: Inside Nebraska and Colorado State.
- 49:55Speaker 1: And Colorado State. Oh, I don't know. Maybe Oklahoma. You
- 50:06Speaker 1: know you have to go back aways into history, but
- 50:08Speaker 1: maybe Oklahoma. Okay, that'd be my guess.
- 50:13Speaker 6: Dion might want to play Colorado School of the Mines.
- 50:16Speaker 1: Yeah, we're going to find out, because Dion is going
- 50:18Speaker 1: to see him some Haines king is it tomorrow night
- 50:21Speaker 1: or the night after that? I think it's tomorrow night.
- 50:25Speaker 1: I've got that here. I think Georgia Tech.
- 50:29Speaker 6: It's high school football tomorrow night.
- 50:31Speaker 1: No, I'm sorry, I know it is.
- 50:33Speaker 6: By the way, on Willie one on one are you
- 50:35Speaker 6: doing a game tomorrow. Yes, we're playing Climb at Climb Collins.
- 50:38Speaker 1: Okay, that's tomorrow on Willie on Willie, Yes, Brian high
- 50:43Speaker 1: Place here tomorrow night, beginning at six thirty pre game. Okay.
- 50:50Speaker 1: And by the way, while I'm thinking about it, and
- 50:54Speaker 1: while you're here, let's do a little Mission impossible.
- 51:00Speaker 6: Now it's Mission possible because I'm all over it.
- 51:02Speaker 1: This your chip, Yeah, I don't think so. Here are
- 51:05Speaker 1: the games we are picking for week number one. Week

- 51:51Speaker 5: Good job.
- 51:51Speaker 10: Come in.
- 51:52Speaker 1: Your deadline is Friday at five.
- 51:55Speaker 24: Friday at five, you're a little more than forty eight
- 51:58Speaker 24: hours from deadline.
- 52:00Speaker 6: Colorado's did not being played tomorrow night if it's on
- 52:03Speaker 6: your pick. It's Friday Night for Colorado.
- 52:05Speaker 24: Yeah, and you're right, I did. I had to change
- 52:07Speaker 24: two high school games. I had to change book Brian
- 52:10Speaker 24: and and uh Hooters and college Station.
- 52:15Speaker 6: And Colorado, So Colorado.
- 52:17Speaker 24: Friday Night Fridday's Fareless Football Forecast Contest, America's most loved
- 52:22Speaker 24: football pick up contest, is a vision of sports talk.
- 52:25Speaker 24: It has brought to you every single week by Zwernemann
- 52:29Speaker 24: Floring and Chad Jones Law.
- 52:32Speaker 1: Okay, make your picks, don't say I and warn you.
- 52:35Speaker 1: I think this is correct, and I haven't gone in today.
- 52:39Speaker 1: It is the largest Friday's Fearless Contest we've ever had.
- 52:44Speaker 1: That's starting now. People will drop out because they'll forget
- 52:47Speaker 1: to pick games, or they'll go and ten the first
- 52:50Speaker 1: week and know that they've got no shot.
- 52:52Speaker 6: But so you have the second largest soccer crowd ever,
- 52:56Speaker 6: you've got more students.
- 52:59Speaker 1: Yeah. Do you know the answer to that? Did you
- 53:00Speaker 1: hear me talking? Is this a one off? They're not
- 53:03Speaker 1: gonna have forty thousand students every day? Yes, No they're not. No,
- 53:07Speaker 1: what No?
- 53:07Speaker 6: They sold that many passes, chip.
- 53:09Speaker 1: Oh, it just passes. But only thirty thousand are getting in. No,
- 53:13Speaker 1: that makes more sense. They're not letting all the students in.
- 53:16Speaker 6: They're letting all the students in that have a student pass.
- 53:18Speaker 1: They're not letting forty thousand students. Said, yes we are.
- 53:21Speaker 1: There's not room for them.
- 53:23Speaker 6: Yes there is, CHIP.
- 53:24Speaker 1: No, there's not. Somebody's going to call and correct you.
- 53:28Speaker 1: There's no way.
- 53:29Speaker 6: No one's calling to correct me.
- 53:30Speaker 1: They can't make money doing that.
- 53:33Speaker 10: CHIP.
- 53:34Speaker 6: You forget last year looking down at the top of
- 53:38Speaker 6: the towers on the third deck where the students were
- 53:43Speaker 6: and they were covered with students. They're standing.
- 53:47Speaker 1: They're gonna let ten thousand extra students in the stadium. Yes,
- 53:51Speaker 1: I don't think there's room for ten thousand extra students.
- 53:53Speaker 6: They drew that many tickets CHIP.
- 53:57Speaker 1: For this game.
- 53:59Speaker 6: But what I'm saying is you can have forty thousand
- 54:02Speaker 6: every game because that's how many students all sports passes
- 54:06Speaker 6: they sold. That I s a ticket to the game.
- 54:08Speaker 6: This is not where you're in a lottery and you
- 54:10Speaker 6: get to go like whoever was talking the other day
- 54:14Speaker 6: daughter at Clemson and they got SMU.
- 54:17Speaker 1: So don't do they or do they not get seats
- 54:23Speaker 1: assigned until you get to thirty thousand and then one
- 54:28Speaker 1: standing freshman. Freshmen have to stand.
- 54:30Speaker 6: Standing room only.
- 54:31Speaker 1: Yes, okay, didn't know that now, I didn't think there's
- 54:35Speaker 1: that many places to stand.
- 54:36Speaker 6: When the Aggies play the Aggies.
- 54:39Speaker 1: New Mexico State. No, Utah State, Utah State.
- 54:42Speaker 6: Right, don't get the Aggies computer.
- 54:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't want to get the Aggies in the
- 54:46Speaker 1: old Jaggies going.
- 54:47Speaker 6: No, I mean you have the have the have the
- 54:49Speaker 6: Aggies right.
- 54:52Speaker 1: So freshmen basically me standing all year.
- 54:55Speaker 6: No, because freshmen are are going to also be you know,
- 55:01Speaker 6: pick up with a group of seniors.
- 55:03Speaker 1: Okay, so all right. David Gardner's Jewelers is open till
- 55:06Speaker 1: six o'clock this evening. By the way, you know we
- 55:11Speaker 1: used to have tennis bracelets. Well, now David and Julia
- 55:16Speaker 1: are marketing pickleball bracelets. No, yeah, diamond pickleball bracelets. This
- 55:23Speaker 1: is from fur Side the Cocktail Hour.
- 55:25Speaker 6: This is the smartest jeweler on the planet.
- 55:28Speaker 1: It always has been. So tennis bracelets. Most of you
- 55:33Speaker 1: getting too old for that. I still know people play
- 55:35Speaker 1: little tennis, don't get me wrong, but most of you
- 55:36Speaker 1: getting too old.
- 55:37Speaker 3: I know.
- 55:38Speaker 6: I know that you're drinking that gray goose.
- 55:40Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, they are watching that's about twenty five bucks
- 55:45Speaker 1: a shot.
- 55:46Speaker 6: They got a tennis bracelet.
- 55:47Speaker 1: On well, I do because they're the only ones that
- 55:49Speaker 1: can afford to drink that kind of stuff. But I digress.

- 55:57Speaker 1: the Goldens, the Yellow gold They have got at all classic.

- 56:26Speaker 1: You know college football season is here because it's bradon
- 56:29Speaker 1: golf time. He disappears after college football season. I don't
- 56:32Speaker 1: even know what he do. He doesn't keep in touch,
- 56:34Speaker 1: he doesn't right, I don't get a card during the holidays, nothing.
- 56:38Speaker 1: He just disappears into the wilderness.
- 56:40Speaker 14: I love text A and M. I think TEXTA A
- 56:42Speaker 14: and M is they're top fifteen team in my book.
- 56:46Speaker 14: Right now. I have him abubble miss. I have him
- 56:47Speaker 14: above Tennessee, above Oklahoma. I would have him on par
- 56:51Speaker 14: with Florida and South Carolina. So I like A and
- 56:53Speaker 14: M a lot. I like Vanderbilt. I think Vanderbilt is
- 56:56Speaker 14: going to be better than people think as well. At
- 56:58Speaker 14: the top teams, I can't comment on because I think
- 57:00Speaker 14: they're all pretty good. Like Do I like Alabama a
- 57:02Speaker 14: little bit more than everybody else?
- 57:04Speaker 4: Maybe?
- 57:05Speaker 14: Do I like Georgia a little less?
- 57:06Speaker 1: Maybe?
- 57:06Speaker 14: But like they're all really good and that's gonna come
- 57:09Speaker 14: down to a couple of key plays throughout the course
- 57:11Speaker 14: of the year. But I like Auburn to overachieve. I
- 57:14Speaker 14: like A and M to over achieve, and I like
- 57:15Speaker 14: Vanderbilt overchief.
