Speaker 1: Hi Catherine, Hi Chelsea. It's Thursday. Does anyone want to
• 0:05
Speaker 1: know if I moved into my house? I do not yet.
• 0:07
Speaker 2: No, delayed, delayed, delayed, delayed.
• 0:11
Speaker 1: Is that why we're not at your house? We're not
• 0:13
Speaker 1: my house recording right now.
• 0:14
Speaker 2: I can't wait until I sell this house and to
• 0:16
Speaker 2: give somebody our brand new podcast room that we never have.
• 0:19
Speaker 1: Gotten to you, and we've used it a couple of times.
• 0:23
Speaker 2: So I am still staying with my friend, yes, and
• 0:28
Speaker 2: just planning your next move. I'm just we're going to
• 0:31
Speaker 2: my Erica soon. I am going out to my Orca. Yes,
• 0:34
Speaker 2: I'm going to my Orca. I'm doing I have the
• 0:36
Speaker 2: month of September in LA. They say they are almost finished.
• 0:39
Speaker 2: This is what they tell me every week, every time,
• 0:41
Speaker 2: every time. I now, we're waiting for the power to
• 0:43
Speaker 2: be turned back on so that I can go in
• 0:45
Speaker 2: and live in my house through the final stages of
• 0:48
Speaker 2: the construction, just to get out of my friend's house
• 0:51
Speaker 2: so that she doesn't have to deal with me sleeping
• 0:53
Speaker 2: in her fucking bed with her because her nephew moved
• 0:56
Speaker 2: in and now I'm in her bed and I have
• 0:58
Speaker 2: Doug and on see my friend Kat, who I'm staying
• 1:01
Speaker 2: with shout out to Kat Samic. Actually I don't even
• 1:03
Speaker 2: know if that's how you say her last name, because
• 1:06
Speaker 2: someone someone the other day said Kat Samik and I
• 1:08
Speaker 2: was like, wait, is it Samic or sa Mik?
• 1:10
Speaker 1: And then I don't remember what she said after that.
• 1:12
Speaker 2: But she has been the most accommodating, hispitable host ever,
• 1:16
Speaker 2: Like she has made me food, she has given me
• 1:19
Speaker 2: things to ice when I had my foot surgery. So
• 1:22
Speaker 2: she has these ice packs at her house that like
• 1:24
Speaker 2: I've never seen contraptions like this where she has. She
• 1:27
Speaker 2: has a contraption that ice is your big toe and
• 1:32
Speaker 2: the arch of your foot or the ball of your foot,
• 1:34
Speaker 2: but not the other four.
• 1:35
Speaker 1: Toes, so you put it on the big toe.
• 1:38
Speaker 2: She has an ice contraption for like the back of
• 1:40
Speaker 2: if you want to ice the bottom of your chin
• 1:43
Speaker 2: and then strap it to your head like a facelipped
• 1:45
  Speaker 2: ice math.
• 1:46
Speaker 1: She has one of those.
• 1:47
Speaker 2: She has like like one of those knee sleeves but
• 1:50
  Speaker 2: for your shoulder.
• 1:51
Speaker 1: She has every wow And like the.
• 1:52
Speaker 2: Other day, I said, because my feet or my foot
• 1:54
Speaker 2: is finally healing from my foot surgery, and it's just
• 1:57
Speaker 2: it's a little bit still swollen. Still it's gonna be
• 1:59
Speaker 2: for a couple of months, I think, they said. But
• 2:01
Speaker 2: I'm able to do stuff. And she came home the
• 2:04
Speaker 2: other night with this paraffin wax foot footholders. I of
• 2:08
Speaker 2: course put them on and then get got up to
• 2:10
Speaker 2: try and get Doug and went flying.
• 2:12
Speaker 1: But that's on me.
• 2:14
Speaker 2: But she's like a lover like cat. So shout out
• 2:16
Speaker 2: to my friend Kat for having me and being the
• 2:18
Speaker 2: best host and putting up with all of my shenanigans.
• 2:21
Speaker 2: My bell's there every morning fucking chiding up my bullshit
• 2:24
Speaker 2: on my side of the bed.
• 2:26
Speaker 3: And maybe as a thank you, you can learn how
• 2:28
Speaker 3: to pronounce your last name.
• 2:32
  Speaker 2: I don't know what's wrong with me. I mean, honestly,
• 2:34
Speaker 2: I have nothing left to give.
• 2:36
Speaker 1: Do you know that?
• 2:36
Speaker 2: You know when I was using the analogy with my friend,
• 2:39
Speaker 2: I said, you know what the problem with this house is.
• 2:40
Speaker 2: I love to be involved in people's lives, like I
• 2:43
Speaker 2: love to be the friend that's going to go the
• 2:44
Speaker 2: extra mile, that's going to make the extra phone call,
• 2:46
Speaker 2: that's going to be honest and tell you the truth,
• 2:48
Speaker 2: and really show up when you have such a fucking
• 2:51
Speaker 2: weight of coal on you. I my ability and bandwidth
• 2:56
Speaker 2: is has shrunk total. I don't have any time for
• 3:00
Speaker 2: any bullshit or any anyone else's problems, which is a
• 3:04
Speaker 2: selfish thing to say, And it's not entirely true because
• 3:08
Speaker 2: I have, you know, but my bandwidth is diminished by
• 3:12
  Speaker 2: a large margin.
• 3:14
  Speaker 1: And I I I that Manslow's hierarchy of needs.
• 3:17
Speaker 3: Right, It's like your actual place we are living is nonexistent,
• 3:21
Speaker 3: you know, it's not you don't have the safety of
• 3:23
Speaker 3: somewhere to go home at night, well, your own place
• 3:25
Speaker 3: to go home at night and right unload and unpack
• 3:28
Speaker 3: and unwined and so like, you don't have.
• 3:30
Speaker 1: That extra to be giving.
• 3:31
Speaker 4: That makes total sense to me.
• 3:32
Speaker 2: Okay, well then that's that explains yes, when you're off
• 3:37
  Speaker 2: the hook.
• 3:37
Speaker 1: Yeah, everybody, that's my deal. That's my deal. Suck it up. Well,
• 3:41
Speaker 1: I'm really excited about our guest.
• 3:43
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, she's awesome. Okay, So our guest today has
• 3:45
Speaker 2: a new special. It's called Life on the PTSD list.
• 3:49
Speaker 2: It's now available on YouTube. Please welcome Kathy Griffin. Kathy
• 3:54
Speaker 2: Griffin is here and I'm very excited a to have
• 3:56
Speaker 2: a conversation, an open conversation about plastic search.
• 4:00
Speaker 4: Five weeks ago, I had a facelift.
• 4:02
Speaker 2: So fresh off a facelift, yes, okay, because I'm about
• 4:04
Speaker 2: to do a little nip and tucking myself, I need
• 4:06
  Speaker 2: my neck.
• 4:07
  Speaker 1: A little bit.
• 4:08
Speaker 4: I got the neck pull.
• 4:09
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that's what I'm not like.
• 4:11
Speaker 4: Have you had it?
• 4:12
  Speaker 5: No?
• 4:12
Speaker 4: It's painful, so you will have to turn like your
• 4:16
Speaker 4: entire upper body for a while, which is kind of comical,
• 4:20
Speaker 4: but just don't kid yourself. It is someone cutting the
• 4:23
Speaker 4: back of your neck, open back of your neck, pulling
• 4:25
Speaker 4: it as hard. Yes here, I have a little left
• 4:30
Speaker 4: over here, but I also have one back there, and
• 4:33
Speaker 4: so it's a yank. Okay, it is there's no other
• 4:36
Speaker 4: way to put it.
• 4:36
Speaker 2: And how do you get them to make sure that
• 4:38
Speaker 2: you don't look pulled and that you look just fresh
• 4:41
  Speaker 2: rather than that.
• 4:43
Speaker 4: I think I've had. I think the first one I had,
• 4:47
Speaker 4: I was only thirty eight, which was dumb. It was
• 4:49
Speaker 4: too young, and nobody even knew. I didn't even need it.
• 4:53
Speaker 4: I just talked into it. And the second one I
• 4:56
Speaker 4: think I looked pulled because that was the style of
• 4:59
Speaker 4: the day, right, And now they started at like the
• 5:04
Speaker 4: top of my ear, so they didn't start up like
• 5:07
Speaker 4: in my forehead. So the poll was more lateral, and
• 5:11
  Speaker 4: I think that's why it doesn't look I don't have
• 5:14
Speaker 4: like the I'm not dissing Joe Biden, but I don't
• 5:18
Speaker 4: have the Joe Biden like eyes are going up.
• 5:21
Speaker 2: How did Joe Biden have time to get a facelift
• 5:23
Speaker 2: while he was the president?
• 5:23
Speaker 4: Okay, here's what he didn't have time for. He didn't
• 5:25
Speaker 4: have time to recover. Yeah, I mean you can get
• 5:28
Speaker 4: the facelift. It takes five hours.
• 5:30
Speaker 1: It does take a period of time to settle in.
• 5:32
Speaker 4: Yes, it takes is that of time?
• 5:35
Speaker 1: What is that period of time?
• 5:36
Speaker 4: Okay, so my guy told me that it would be
• 5:39
Speaker 4: three months till I could go on camera. Well, here
• 5:42
Speaker 4: I am, it's five weeks. No one does and you
• 5:45
Speaker 4: won't need three months.
• 5:47
  Speaker 5: Yeah.
• 5:47
Speaker 4: I did do the hyperbar chamber every day.
• 5:51
Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, great, But then you just told me that
• 5:53
Speaker 2: two people exploded in hyper bear chain.
• 5:55
Speaker 4: People have passed away in hyperbarl neighbors, and one was
• 6:00
Speaker 4: a child in a hospital and one was a grown
• 6:02
Speaker 4: man last week. And what the hyperbaric chamber place that
• 6:07
Speaker 4: I go to told me was that it was related
• 6:09
Speaker 4: to whatever batteries the person had taken into the chamber.
• 6:14
Speaker 4: So for example, I would put my phone. They would
• 6:17
Speaker 4: put my phone on top of the chamber on the outside.
• 6:20
Speaker 4: Then I would have the battery operated speaker like right
• 6:23
Speaker 4: next to my ear, and I'd be listening to audiobooks
• 6:26
Speaker 4: during the ninety minutes. But I'll be honest now, I'm
• 6:29
Speaker 4: spooked and I'm afraid to go back at.
• 6:32
Speaker 2: All because when I've used that hyperbaric chamber center or
• 6:34
Speaker 2: the one on Beverly, have you ever been there?
• 6:36
  Speaker 3: No?
• 6:36
Speaker 2: Okay, well I've used that before when I had shoulder surgery.
• 6:38
Speaker 2: I went in there a few.
• 6:39
Speaker 4: Times and did it help?
• 6:40
  Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know, you can't. There's not I
• 6:42
Speaker 2: mean everyone says it's great. I have one at home,
• 6:43
Speaker 2: but it's a low pressure one. It's like called hyperbaric
• 6:47
Speaker 2: chamber pressure like low U said, dog sea health or
• 6:50
Speaker 2: some boxa health okay, and that's it's like you zip
• 6:54
Speaker 2: yourself in so clearly, like you need an attendant for
• 6:56
Speaker 2: the ones you're going in.
• 6:57
Speaker 4: When I shot, they said you can't take your anymore,
• 7:00
Speaker 4: so you just have to lay there for ninety minutes.
• 7:02
  Speaker 4: And I said, no, no, that's too boring. I can't
• 7:04
Speaker 4: do it. No, exactly who I'd rather.
• 7:07
  Speaker 1: I need a book or a TV.
• 7:09
Speaker 4: Need a book. I want to talk about books too,
• 7:11
Speaker 4: because I've never read so much in my life since
• 7:13
  Speaker 4: this facelift.
• 7:14
Speaker 1: Oh see, isn't that sounds like the recovery.
• 7:16
Speaker 2: That's exactly what I'm looking forward to toocovery.
• 7:20
Speaker 4: And really play the pity card. I mean, really play
• 7:23
Speaker 4: up the pain and the pity and oh my god,
• 7:25
Speaker 4: I can't move, and then of course blame society.
• 7:28
Speaker 2: And then but also take tons of pills because I
• 7:31
  Speaker 2: love drug cool.
• 7:32
Speaker 4: I mean, it's just another excuse to get don't go
• 7:35
  Speaker 4: with tyland On.
• 7:35
Speaker 2: I know anyone who says to me and I've seen
• 7:37
Speaker 2: a metafite at eight hundred, I'm like, don't talk to you,
• 7:40
Speaker 2: like even be talking about melatonin.
• 7:43
Speaker 4: I will pay me pills, thank you.
• 7:46
Speaker 1: That's anything over the counter. I'm not interested.
• 7:49
Speaker 4: You want to be fighting with your pharmacist.
• 7:51
Speaker 1: So this is your So this is amazing, So this
• 7:53
  Speaker 1: is your.
• 7:53
Speaker 4: Third way hold on. So facelift, neck pull and upper eyes.
• 7:57
Speaker 2: It isn't about it, Like doesn't a next goes with
• 8:00
Speaker 2: a lower face lift?
• 8:01
Speaker 4: Well yes, but I had them both because I gotta
• 8:05
Speaker 4: say he really did give me my jaw line back,
• 8:09
Speaker 4: not that I had like big jowls, but look, I'm
• 8:11
Speaker 4: sixty four and a half and so just regular skin happens,
• 8:15
Speaker 4: and so I just I'm not trying to look, you know, forty,
• 8:20
Speaker 4: But I just thought, if he can do it in
• 8:22
  Speaker 4: a way where I don't look crazy done, then I'm
• 8:26
Speaker 4: gonna do it. And I hope you think this is funny.
• 8:28
Speaker 4: And she's openly talked about this, but I went to
• 8:32
Speaker 4: Sia's doctor. And the reason I think that's funny is
• 8:35
Speaker 4: because Cia the Chandelier songstress is known for wearing a
• 8:40
Speaker 4: backwards wig, and we don't even know what her face
• 8:43
Speaker 4: looks like exactly. I mean, you and I know because
• 8:45
Speaker 4: we know it. But I thought, I still think it's
• 8:47
Speaker 4: funny that she even got a facelift and no one
• 8:51
Speaker 4: knows what she looks like.
• 8:52
Speaker 2: But he has also adopted like some grown men. Right,
• 8:56
Speaker 2: she's adopted two grown men, two eighteen year old masts.
• 8:59
Speaker 1: Right, yes, so another.
• 9:01
Speaker 4: Has a baby? Has an eighteen month old?
• 9:04
Speaker 1: Did she have a baby or did she adopt a baby?
• 9:06
  Speaker 4: She did surrogate?
• 9:07
Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, and you're the surrogate of course.
• 9:10
Speaker 4: Obviously, she wondered as many of my genes as how.
• 9:12
Speaker 1: Many babies have you been a surrogate too?
• 9:14
Speaker 4: Seventeen? And I am sore. So I will, by the way,
• 9:19
Speaker 4: I will not get the downstairs rejuvenation, no matter how
• 9:24
Speaker 4: sexy it's supposed to make you feel. I don't believe
• 9:29
  Speaker 4: in it. I don't. I think a woman hating man
• 9:33
Speaker 4: must have come up with that idea. But I will
• 9:36
Speaker 4: tell you this. During my facelift, I believe they may
• 9:41
Speaker 4: have taken my entire ears off and put them on
• 9:44
Speaker 4: a side table and then just have line reattach them
• 9:48
Speaker 4: and then reattach them.
• 9:49
Speaker 2: Let me show you what something you can see the scars,
• 9:52
Speaker 2: what looks also like your hairline was shaped.
• 9:55
Speaker 4: I'm now doing rogaine, which says nothing on the bottle
• 9:59
Speaker 4: except this is not for women. If you're a woman,
• 10:02
Speaker 4: don't use this. And he was like, ignore that. So
• 10:06
Speaker 4: I'm almost blowing up in hyperbaric chambers, reading a lot
• 10:10
Speaker 4: and using men's real gain.
• 10:11
Speaker 2: Yeah, and who knows if that's flammable or if that's
• 10:13
Speaker 2: a component into well.
• 10:15
Speaker 4: What if I get a bush again?
• 10:16
Speaker 2: Let me show you something that is happening to my ears.
• 10:19
Speaker 2: You see my ears, how they're a little bit flappy.
• 10:21
Speaker 1: They look like labia.
• 10:23
Speaker 2: Right, they look like a little bit like they've been
• 10:25
Speaker 2: stretched out like a labia. So I'm getting my when
• 10:28
Speaker 2: I do whenever we're talking about now, when I do
• 10:30
Speaker 2: my next thing, I'm going to get my ears trimmed.
• 10:33
Speaker 2: This is a surgical question where they cut them a
• 10:36
Speaker 2: little bit and reattached because they only get longer as
• 10:38
  Speaker 2: you get older.
• 10:39
Speaker 1: I mean, you just reminded me. And listen, I've asked
• 10:43
  Speaker 1: some friends.
• 10:43
Speaker 2: Most people will be like, you don't need to do
• 10:45
Speaker 2: anything age naturally, blah blah blah. As naturally as I'm
• 10:48
Speaker 2: going to. Obviously, I'm not going to do it bad
• 10:49
  Speaker 2: after I'm gonna that's already.
• 10:51
Speaker 1: Out, also the conversation, and also the truck has already
• 10:55
  Speaker 1: left the station.
• 10:56
Speaker 2: So, but the ear thing is not very common for
• 10:58
Speaker 2: people to do. But the people that I've asked, including
• 11:01
Speaker 2: a plastic surgeon, he goes, you should definitely take care
• 11:04
  Speaker 2: of that.
• 11:04
Speaker 4: I mean, first of all, it's not an issue. But
• 11:07
Speaker 4: I didn't even know that existed. It's kind of genius.
• 11:10
Speaker 4: So let me tell you about the mouth part, which
• 11:12
Speaker 4: is weird my version of the ear thing because I
• 11:14
Speaker 4: didn't know it existed. But by the way, I think
• 11:17
Speaker 4: the doctor I went to might have invented this. His
• 11:20
Speaker 4: name is doctor Tally. I recommend him.
• 11:22
Speaker 2: Whatever does he give you free surgery because you him
• 11:25
  Speaker 2: at all.
• 11:27
Speaker 4: He is incredibly expensive. Now he's not the Christian or
• 11:32
Speaker 4: guy who's a million doctor in New York. I believe
• 11:36
Speaker 4: I may be wrong. Allegedly doctor Levine is a million,
• 11:41
Speaker 4: a million dollars million. And when I mentioned that, someone
• 11:47
Speaker 4: said to me, oh, there's like six guys in LA
• 11:50
Speaker 4: that are now up to a million, and these dames
• 11:52
Speaker 4: are paying it and some guys are.
• 11:54
Speaker 2: That's ridiculous, first of all, because cost a million dollars
• 11:57
Speaker 2: to get a faceline.
• 11:58
Speaker 1: No, that's just taking advance, right.
• 12:01
Speaker 4: But no, I'm not. I am, in no way a
• 12:03
Speaker 4: paid spokesperson. This is the first time I've even said
• 12:06
Speaker 4: his name. Because so far the results are good, and
• 12:09
Speaker 4: that's that. But there's a thing with the corners of
• 12:13
Speaker 4: my mouth, where as you get older, the very end
• 12:17
Speaker 4: corners start to go down a little a little bit
• 12:21
Speaker 4: of drooling. I'm already doing a lot of drolling, running
• 12:25
Speaker 4: and tearing for no reason. I'm sobbing right now, and
• 12:30
Speaker 4: she's an emotional wreck. He sews just a little bit
• 12:38
Speaker 4: of the outside of your mouth, and so I'm just
• 12:42
Speaker 4: owning that as a hardcore feminist, I paid a man
• 12:48
Speaker 4: to sew my mouth shut.
• 12:54
Speaker 2: Is it hard to acclimate to having a smaller mouth?
• 12:57
  Speaker 3: Like?
• 12:57
Speaker 1: Can you fix it? Does it physically feel?
• 13:00
Speaker 4: I noticed it in an out burger because when I
• 13:03
Speaker 4: got sprung from the Rich Lady Healing Place, which is
• 13:07
Speaker 4: its own situation comedy.
• 13:09
Speaker 1: Is that the center? Yeah, all recovery center. Yes.
• 13:13
Speaker 4: I don't want to get in any trouble as I've
• 13:15
Speaker 4: been sued seven times since my trump head photo. So
• 13:19
Speaker 4: I won't say the real name, but in my act
• 13:22
Speaker 4: I call it immortal, right, because that's how they want
• 13:25
Speaker 4: you to feel. Did you just take your hand and
• 13:27
Speaker 4: just move your face a little.
• 13:28
Speaker 1: Bit while I'm watching you?
• 13:30
Speaker 2: Actually, I'm giving my face lift a bit of a
• 13:33
Speaker 2: face in your face and everything that you're talking about.
• 13:36
  Speaker 2: I mean, I can't be enjoying a conversation.
• 13:39
Speaker 4: More you've got that.
• 13:42
Speaker 1: I'm just like, where else can I pinch?
• 13:44
Speaker 4: And it's like shopping.
• 13:45
Speaker 2: But I wonder if because you got a facelift at
• 13:48
Speaker 2: thirty eight, if that was too early?
• 13:50
Speaker 1: Do you think that's too early?
• 13:52
  Speaker 4: Yes?
• 13:52
Speaker 2: Because you said you've got three facelifts, like that seems
• 13:55
  Speaker 2: like too many.
• 13:55
Speaker 4: Okay, it's too many because my forehead is so high
• 14:00
Speaker 4: that he actually said, and I'm quoting, you have too
• 14:03
Speaker 4: much real estate up there, so I can't give you
• 14:07
Speaker 4: the very trendy ponytail facelift, which is the one everyone's getting,
• 14:12
Speaker 4: where I believe I may be wrong. They cut a
• 14:16
Speaker 4: circular basically a hole at the crown of your head,
• 14:20
Speaker 4: yank all the skin evenly, then sew it up, so
• 14:25
Speaker 4: it's like if you're wearing the tightest ponytail you've ever.
• 14:29
Speaker 2: Worn, which we all know makes is already a facelift.
• 14:31
Speaker 2: Getting a tight high ponytail is like anytime I.
• 14:33
Speaker 4: Do anything, should have prescription drugs that go with it
• 14:37
Speaker 4: as well as it hurt just for one day. Yeah,
• 14:39
Speaker 4: and so I have too much real estate. I'm doing
• 14:42
Speaker 4: your quotes to have gotten the ponytail. But that's really
• 14:46
Speaker 4: if you want like the trendiest of the trend, it's
• 14:49
Speaker 4: the million dollar ponytail.
• 14:51
Speaker 2: Okay, we have so much to talk about, Kathy, because
• 14:54
Speaker 2: so much has happened. You mentioned the trumpet thing, which
• 14:56
Speaker 2: made me so irate that you thank you. This is
• 15:00
Speaker 2: years ago, but like you know, always that still lives.
• 15:03
Speaker 2: I know, and it's so unfair to you because I
• 15:05
Speaker 2: just I feel like you have been treated so unfairly
• 15:08
Speaker 2: in your career, and I know you've gone through so
• 15:10
Speaker 2: much personal bullshit too, with all fucking men that you've married.
• 15:14
  Speaker 4: Such losers.
• 15:15
Speaker 1: I know, Like, where do we even begin.
• 15:18
Speaker 2: Let's I don't want to harp on the Trump stuff
• 15:20
Speaker 2: because you've moved past that and.
• 15:22
Speaker 4: You're but I did get a death threat to my
• 15:25
Speaker 4: personal email last week, and I was like, how did
• 15:27
Speaker 4: they get my like even in as ever happened.
• 15:30
  Speaker 1: But that's easy to get threats. I wouldn't take. Don't
• 15:34
Speaker 1: be too flat of that, you know what I mean?
• 15:36
Speaker 4: Like, I call the FBI anyway, and I know them.
• 15:39
Speaker 4: I know them. They come to my house.
• 15:43
Speaker 2: Seriously, I'm not tell because I'm sure I'll be interested
• 15:45
  Speaker 2: in helping.
• 15:47
Speaker 4: I have been, Chelsea. I've been in Twitter fights with
• 15:51
Speaker 4: all these people that are now in the cabinet. Like
• 15:54
Speaker 4: during the first term, I was like, it's go time,
• 15:57
Speaker 4: you know, before Elon bought Twitter and now it's a
• 16:00
Speaker 4: Nazi playground. But I've been in fights with half of
• 16:03
Speaker 4: the fucking cabinet I just I am not even in
• 16:06
Speaker 4: a political comic. I just tell stories about celebrities, and
• 16:12
Speaker 4: now I'm in fights with cash Ptel.
• 16:14
Speaker 2: So tell me when that whole Trump backlash. And for
• 16:16
Speaker 2: those of you who aren't familiar, Kathy posted a photo
• 16:19
Speaker 2: or was it a photo?
• 16:20
Speaker 4: Yeah, it was a photo of me holding a Trump
• 16:23
Speaker 4: Halloween mask that I had put one of my wig
• 16:26
Speaker 4: heads behind because it kept folding, and I put ketchup
• 16:30
Speaker 4: on it to look like blood, and I was holding
• 16:33
Speaker 4: it like Perseus and Medusa, so I was holding it up.
• 16:37
Speaker 1: Familiar with those two Greek mythology, got it.
• 16:40
Speaker 4: And so I thought it was sort of a statement,
• 16:45
Speaker 4: a very tongue in cheek. Obviously not a legitimate threat,
• 16:49
Speaker 4: but the reaction to it was so seismic that to
• 16:53
Speaker 4: this day, eight years later, Number one, it's it's the
• 16:57
Speaker 4: thing I'm asked about more than anything. But people are
• 16:59
Speaker 4: still in magaworld as pissed as if it was yesterday,
• 17:04
Speaker 4: and they keep reposting the picture. Nobody reposts that picture
• 17:08
Speaker 4: more than Maga people. So the I was then put
• 17:11
Speaker 4: on the no fly list, the Inner Poll List, which
• 17:14
Speaker 4: is the international version of the No fly list, the
• 17:17
Speaker 4: Five Eyes List, which is the ISIS terror watch list.
• 17:21
Speaker 4: I was out of work for six and a half years,
• 17:24
Speaker 4: I mean six and a half one and my agents
• 17:29
Speaker 4: even said the word they're using is squeamish. They're squeamish,
• 17:34
Speaker 4: and especially now that he's back in office. And then
• 17:40
Speaker 4: I did have one network be honest and say we
• 17:44
Speaker 4: know you can do the job, we know you're an earner,
• 17:46
Speaker 4: we know you've made a lot of money for a
• 17:48
Speaker 4: lot of companies over the years. But we have Middle
• 17:52
Speaker 4: America viewers also, and they just wouldn't have it. And
• 17:56
Speaker 4: that is the part that I still am and kind
• 17:59
Speaker 4: of shock about. Like it was a photo of a
• 18:04
Speaker 4: Halloween mask, but he tweeted about it, then the wife
• 18:09
Speaker 4: tweeted about it, and then all of MAGA world got
• 18:12
Speaker 4: very involved and everyone turned on me, like left, right,
• 18:16
Speaker 4: and center. It wasn't just MAGA. People like l Franklin
• 18:20
Speaker 4: called me and I was supposed to do a book
• 18:22
Speaker 4: event for him, and he broke my heart because he
• 18:25
Speaker 4: was like, what were you thinking? I can't be seen
• 18:27
Speaker 4: with you and I was just sobbing and like handed
• 18:30
Speaker 4: the phone off to my assistant. It was dark, and
• 18:33
Speaker 4: then I got fired on the ticker from CNN New
• 18:36
Speaker 4: Year's Eve. I used to do New Year's Eve on
• 18:39
Speaker 4: CNN with Anderson Cooper and then he made a statement
• 18:43
Speaker 4: like everybody felt compelled to make a statement and call
• 18:47
Speaker 4: me a terrorist and say that American service members were
• 18:51
Speaker 4: going to be beheaded in my name and that I
• 18:54
Speaker 4: was a recruiting tool for ISIS, and this went on
• 18:59
Speaker 4: and goes on to this day.
• 19:01
Speaker 2: Well, I'm so sorry that you had to go through that,
• 19:04
Speaker 2: Thank you. I mean, six years is an incredibly long
• 19:07
Speaker 2: time not to work, and it's just another testament to
• 19:10
  Speaker 2: your resiliency.
• 19:11
Speaker 1: So talk about that a little bit, like.
• 19:13
Speaker 2: Talk about how you pull yourself out of something like that.
• 19:16
Speaker 4: Well, first of all, I didn't do very well. I
• 19:18
Speaker 4: became addicted to pills to the point where I tried
• 19:21
Speaker 4: to overdose and take my life. I was on a
• 19:23
Speaker 4: fifty one to fifty psych hold for three days, which
• 19:26
Speaker 4: ended up being a good thing for me because it
• 19:29
Speaker 4: got me into AA and that's great. I went through
• 19:33
Speaker 4: a very very painful divorce because I truly thought I
• 19:36
Speaker 4: was going to be with this guy forever. And I
• 19:39
Speaker 4: got lung cancer even though I've never smoked, and I
• 19:43
Speaker 4: have half a lung on my left side. I was
• 19:46
Speaker 4: injured during the lung cancer surgery and permanently paralyzed my
• 19:52
Speaker 4: left vocal cord. So I was the comedian that couldn't
• 19:55
Speaker 4: talk and I had a voice like mini mouse for
• 19:58
Speaker 4: three years. And then Sea said, you know there's a
• 20:05
Speaker 4: doctor in La doctor Anka Barbou, a woman of color,
• 20:09
Speaker 4: and she can do an implant. And I was like
• 20:13
Speaker 4: what none of the old white guy doctors. And I
• 20:15
Speaker 4: went to every fancy doctor in La going there has
• 20:22
Speaker 4: to be away you get fixed. My look god, And
• 20:26
Speaker 4: I went to this woman and she was like, I
• 20:27
Speaker 4: can fix your voice, and she goes, I can give
• 20:30
Speaker 4: you at least thirty percent more of your speaking voice,
• 20:33
Speaker 4: and she gave me eighty percent more. And then I
• 20:36
Speaker 4: finally got a call from the Mirage in Vegas, even
• 20:40
Speaker 4: though they had made a statement about me during the
• 20:43
Speaker 4: Trump stuff saying she's a terrorist, she'll never be welcome
• 20:46
Speaker 4: here again. And they called me for the first job
• 20:50
Speaker 4: offer in six and a half years and said you
• 20:53
Speaker 4: want to come back and do a show. And I
• 20:55
Speaker 4: was like crying, going yes, of course, and then I go,
• 20:58
Speaker 4: but wait, what happened to the guy that made that
• 21:00
Speaker 4: statemid about me? And she goes, oh, he's dead. So
• 21:05
Speaker 4: now I've decided to just wait them out. And I
• 21:08
Speaker 4: think a lot of the resilience is just not quitting.
• 21:12
  Speaker 5: Well.
• 21:12
Speaker 2: First of all, the irony and the fact that a
• 21:14
Speaker 2: woman was able to give you your voice back and
• 21:16
Speaker 2: then a man tried to sew your mouth shut.
• 21:19
  Speaker 4: Yes, yes, yes.
• 21:22
Speaker 2: Second of all, I would like to say, at first,
• 21:25
  Speaker 2: I love you.
• 21:26
Speaker 1: I hope you feel loved, because I would hate.
• 21:29
Speaker 2: I can't imagine the loneliness that you must have felt
• 21:31
  Speaker 2: during that time.
• 21:33
Speaker 4: Chelsey, Everybody don't me, Like seventy five percent of my
• 21:36
Speaker 4: friends just headed for the hills, just didn't return calls
• 21:40
Speaker 4: or would go out of their way to be what
• 21:42
Speaker 4: were you thinking? And once again you're going to get
• 21:44
Speaker 4: people killed like it was. And by the way, they
• 21:48
Speaker 4: never came back, like when people are like it's got
• 21:52
Speaker 4: to be so gratifying when people call you and say
• 21:54
Speaker 4: they're sorry. I'm like, no, not one nobody's been like
• 21:58
Speaker 4: oh sorry. That was kind of a reaction. And now
• 22:01
Speaker 4: it's so clear because we see Trump and his machine
• 22:05
Speaker 4: do this to Rosy o'dama last weekend, probably like when
• 22:10
Speaker 4: my incident happened. It was three days after Robert Muller
• 22:13
Speaker 4: was appointed. I think that's why he used me as
• 22:16
Speaker 4: that deflection. I think he went after Rosie last weekend
• 22:20
Speaker 4: because he's on videotape with Jeffrey Epstein dancing at a
• 22:24
  Speaker 4: party with miners.
• 22:25
Speaker 1: This whole Epstein thing is so cartoonish.
• 22:28
Speaker 2: He has been demanding to see these Epstein files for years.
• 22:32
Speaker 2: He has been the one demanding, and now he's like,
• 22:35
Speaker 2: shut up about It's like, can we please just put
• 22:38
Speaker 2: a video of him saying where are these files?
• 22:41
Speaker 1: In front of his face?
• 22:42
Speaker 2: Yes, he's The style of interview that they're doing is
• 22:45
Speaker 2: not cutting the muscle.
• 22:46
Speaker 4: It's not an interview. Our press is letting us down. Now.
• 22:49
Speaker 4: I know the good press has been excluded and they've
• 22:51
Speaker 4: lost the press passes. I get it, but there's got
• 22:54
Speaker 4: to be some way for our press to push back harder.
• 22:57
Speaker 4: Because he is on video with the Eppsteen at a
• 23:00
  Speaker 4: party with minors.
• 23:03
Speaker 2: This may be so ridiculous if this was the straw
• 23:07
Speaker 2: that broke the camel's back, because the maga isn't letting
• 23:10
Speaker 2: this Epstein tape go rapist. It's like, so what's different
• 23:14
Speaker 2: because this is young girls, like that's their that's their baseline.
• 23:17
Speaker 2: That's their line that you can't cross, you can rape,
• 23:20
Speaker 2: but you can't rape.
• 23:21
Speaker 4: Remember they've been What they've been feeding off is that
• 23:24
Speaker 4: the they were so sure that Hillary Clinton and me
• 23:29
Speaker 4: were in the basement of a pizza parlor harvesting baby parts,
• 23:34
Speaker 4: then if I if you knew how many people sent
• 23:37
  Speaker 4: me pizza emojis.
• 23:44
Speaker 2: Yes, apparently I've never been there, obviously, not.
• 23:51
  Speaker 5: As if.
• 23:52
Speaker 4: And I've even made a video basically saying as if.
• 23:55
Speaker 4: And they're like, that's an admission, and I'm like, no, no, no,
• 23:59
Speaker 4: that's not I don't know where they is.
• 24:01
Speaker 1: If I were, it would be stupid enough.
• 24:04
Speaker 2: Hey, as if I would ever subscribe to that kind
• 24:06
  Speaker 2: of behavior.
• 24:07
Speaker 6: Ever, people are taking advantage of young women.
• 24:10
Speaker 4: Ever ever, Ever, look at our body of work. It
• 24:12
Speaker 4: speaks for itself. Look at our outside behavior and speaks
• 24:15
Speaker 4: for itself. And so I think the MAGA people are
• 24:19
Speaker 4: still obsessed, and I think they paid attention more to
• 24:22
Speaker 4: the Epstein news than things like the Egen Carol trials,
• 24:27
Speaker 4: like the thirty four counts he was convicted of. Because
• 24:30
Speaker 4: I know a lot of MAGA people, and I know
• 24:34
Speaker 4: friends that have lost a cousin to MAGA or I
• 24:38
Speaker 4: have a girlfriend who lost her son to MAGA and
• 24:41
Speaker 4: she can't even talk to him. And they are very
• 24:45
Speaker 4: invested in Epstein. But it's because they thought Hilary was
• 24:50
Speaker 4: going to be caught red handed molesting girls with Jeffrey Epstein.
• 24:55
Speaker 1: And also, why can't he just alter the list like
• 24:58
  Speaker 1: he lies?
• 24:59
Speaker 4: He cann It's an ex self spreadsheet. They put Oprah's
• 25:02
Speaker 4: name on there, for God's sake.
• 25:04
Speaker 1: He can just edit his name off of it.
• 25:06
  Speaker 3: I know.
• 25:06
Speaker 4: But maybe the cat's out of the bag, like maybe
• 25:10
Speaker 4: this is the thing that could cause a fissure.
• 25:13
Speaker 2: Maybe yeah, I mean that's what it's seeming like. But
• 25:17
Speaker 2: I just don't understand why he didn't handle this differently.
• 25:19
Speaker 2: Why not release a list that's fake. He lies about
• 25:22
Speaker 2: everything anyway, Like poles aren't real, this isn't real. Economy
• 25:25
Speaker 2: is doing great, blah blah blah. So just make up
• 25:27
Speaker 2: a fake list and put it out there with them
• 25:29
  Speaker 2: Bondi's signature.
• 25:30
Speaker 1: And Brodino or whoever these other idiots are.
• 25:33
  Speaker 5: I know.
• 25:34
Speaker 2: Okay, we're gonna take a break and we're going to
• 25:36
Speaker 2: be right back and we're back with Kathy Griffin. Okay,
• 25:43
Speaker 2: so let's talk, keep talking, about resiliency because you've been
• 25:46
Speaker 2: through a lot, as you just stated, and now you're
• 25:49
Speaker 2: going you went through to another divorce.
• 25:50
  Speaker 1: How many divorces?
• 25:51
  Speaker 4: Is this too?
• 25:52
  Speaker 1: Too?
• 25:52
  Speaker 3: So?
• 25:52
Speaker 6: Three facelifts, two divorces, one cancelation right.
• 25:57
Speaker 4: By the way, let's just call it what it is,
• 25:59
Speaker 4: the cancelation the case, as far as showbiz, kind of
• 26:03
Speaker 4: the ultimate and it really stuck.
• 26:05
Speaker 2: How do you feel about your life?
• 26:09
Speaker 1: Like do what do you think your purpose has been?
• 26:12
Speaker 4: I think that this ultimately is my calling because, like
• 26:16
Speaker 4: I mentioned, I've been in I've been sued seven times
• 26:20
Speaker 4: since the Trump photo. I think I'm the most sued comedian.
• 26:23
Speaker 4: I don't know about Lenny Bruce if he was sued,
• 26:26
Speaker 4: because I know it was local police that harassed him,
• 26:30
Speaker 4: and local police harassed George Carlin. But I had the
• 26:33
Speaker 4: fence coming after me, and so I've had many maga
• 26:37
Speaker 4: people sue me for things I tweeted.
• 26:39
Speaker 1: And I did have any of them won these lawsuits,
• 26:42
  Speaker 1: not one.
• 26:43
Speaker 4: I'm batting one thousand. My legal bills are insane, but
• 26:47
Speaker 4: I love my lawyers. They're brilliant, and I have big news,
• 26:51
Speaker 4: which is last Thursday, my last case was dismissed. So
• 26:58
Speaker 4: knocking on wood, and I kind of doubt a lot
• 27:02
Speaker 4: of maggi of people are listening to this, But hopefully
• 27:04
Speaker 4: no one's listening to this thinking, oh wait a minute,
• 27:06
Speaker 4: I want cat. They have a lawsuit at all times.
• 27:09
Speaker 2: So when you say back to that question, when I
• 27:11
Speaker 2: ask you what your purpose is and your purpose.
• 27:13
Speaker 1: Is this, when you say this, what do you mean this?
• 27:15
Speaker 1: I think it's the deal with lawsuits.
• 27:17
Speaker 4: No, I think it's I'm wearing my First Amendment T shirt.
• 27:21
  Speaker 4: I think it's if I have a purpose. My number
• 27:23
Speaker 4: one purpose, hopefully is to make people laugh. That's always
• 27:26
Speaker 4: my goal. Like I said, I'm not a political comic.
• 27:30
Speaker 4: I'm not Bill Maher, I never was. I tell stories
• 27:33
Speaker 4: about the freaking Kardashians. And yet I think now my
• 27:39
Speaker 4: purpose is to be able to tell people what the
• 27:43
Speaker 4: First Amendment really is. And it's not when a private
• 27:46
Speaker 4: company accuses you of defamation. It's when the government. And
• 27:51
Speaker 4: I had the federal government. I was investigated by the
• 27:55
Speaker 4: Department of Justice, two agencies within the DOJ, the Attorney's
• 28:00
Speaker 4: Office and the Secret Service, and I was interrogated under
• 28:04
Speaker 4: oath for the crime of conspiracy to assassinate the president
• 28:08
Speaker 4: of the United States. Oh my god. And if I
• 28:11
Speaker 4: had failed that interrogation, I could have gone to prison.
• 28:16
Speaker 1: So now you're working now.
• 28:18
Speaker 4: I can't believe it. I did a seventy five city tour.
• 28:21
Speaker 4: I got to play Carnegie Hall again, I got to
• 28:24
Speaker 4: play Boston Symphony Hall again. I got to play the
• 28:26
Speaker 4: Will Turn here in Los Angeles, like every show was
• 28:30
Speaker 4: a gift. And now I'm going back on the road
• 28:33
Speaker 4: in November. I'll be at Planet Hollywood November eighth. I've
• 28:36
Speaker 4: added more dates and I just can't wait. Every show
• 28:40
Speaker 4: is special and I while I lost a large part
• 28:45
Speaker 4: of my audience because I can't play the riverboats in
• 28:49
Speaker 4: the South anymore, and those did pay well, but I
• 28:52
Speaker 4: think I gained some like social justice warrior types.
• 28:56
  Speaker 7: I'm sure.
• 28:56
Speaker 4: And when I was taping my special, which no one
• 28:59
Speaker 4: bought so I'm just gonna put it on YouTube. So fine,
• 29:02
Speaker 4: that's the story of my life. But when I even
• 29:06
Speaker 4: mentioned the Trump photo as a reference point, the audience
• 29:10
Speaker 4: spontaneously burst into a pause, and I almost weld up
• 29:15
Speaker 4: because it was such a shock, after all of the
• 29:19
Speaker 4: adverse to put a lightly adverse reaction. It was amazing
• 29:24
Speaker 4: to me to hear people clapping at the mention of
• 29:26
Speaker 4: that photo, which is not a threat. I just want
• 29:29
Speaker 4: to reiterate that photo is not a threat. I have
• 29:32
Speaker 4: no desire to kill the president. I'm not decapitating anybody.
• 29:40
Speaker 2: I want to ask you a question for as from
• 29:46
Speaker 2: a like a female standpoint. Do you feel respected as
• 29:50
Speaker 2: a stand up comedian?
• 29:51
  Speaker 4: No, I don't. I feel like a lot of the
• 29:55
  Speaker 4: guys don't think I'm a real comic because I don't
• 29:58
Speaker 4: tell traditional jokes with like a setup a punchline. I
• 30:01
Speaker 4: tell stories and sometimes the story goes for two minutes
• 30:06
Speaker 4: that's just a setup, and then there's seven jokes in
• 30:08
Speaker 4: a row, and sometimes it has a joke every thirty.
• 30:11
Speaker 4: So I don't know. But you know, I've never been
• 30:14
Speaker 4: on the comedians and cars getting coffee or whatever. I
• 30:18
  Speaker 4: think there's a lot of you know, I have a
• 30:22
Speaker 4: YouTube show now that i'm It's a money losing business proposition,
• 30:27
Speaker 4: but I'm having a blast doing it. It's called Kathy
• 30:30
Speaker 4: Griffin Talk your head off, get it. But I told
• 30:32
Speaker 4: a story on there about the one time I went
• 30:36
Speaker 4: on the Stephen Colbert Show because I'm such a fan
• 30:38
Speaker 4: of his, and he really came at me hard about
• 30:43
Speaker 4: the Trump Ahead picture and tried to convince me that
• 30:46
Speaker 4: I had violated the First Amendment. And I walked off stage,
• 30:51
Speaker 4: and I really did burst into tears the minute I
• 30:54
Speaker 4: was in the wings and it was a pre tape,
• 30:57
Speaker 4: and the executive producer said, I'll give you beautiful edit.
• 31:00
Speaker 4: I'll give you a beautiful and I just said to him,
• 31:03
Speaker 4: what was that? And he said, Stephen just couldn't get
• 31:06
Speaker 4: beyond the picture. Like that shocked me because I feel like,
• 31:11
Speaker 4: especially the Colbert Report, maybe more so than his current show,
• 31:15
Speaker 4: was all about the First Amendment. And I said to him,
• 31:19
Speaker 4: but Stephen, you know that that's our commodity, is the
• 31:22
Speaker 4: First Amendment. You know that picture was covered by the way.
• 31:26
Speaker 4: I did call my lawyer before I posted it, so
• 31:29
Speaker 4: people think I just posted it because I'm so stupid. No,
• 31:33
Speaker 4: I called my lawyer and he said, yes, it's covered
• 31:35
Speaker 4: by the First Amendment. Any person who's not a well
• 31:39
Speaker 4: known comedian could recreate that picture tomorrow and it's covered
• 31:43
Speaker 4: by the First Amendment. Now in today's environment, I don't
• 31:46
Speaker 4: recommend it, but it is definitely covered by the First Amendment.
• 31:51
Speaker 3: But also like on TikTok, it's not like obviously an
• 31:54
Speaker 3: easy visual, but people are having that conversation every single day.
• 31:59
Speaker 4: You're just an early you know.
• 32:00
Speaker 2: Do you think that are you open to having another
• 32:03
Speaker 2: or taking another lover?
• 32:04
Speaker 1: Husband, boyfriend? Are you done with men?
• 32:06
  Speaker 5: How?
• 32:07
Speaker 4: I'm trying to get to the done with men stage
• 32:11
Speaker 4: because the women that you and I know Jane fond
• 32:14
Speaker 4: of Sharon Stone, the women that are like you know what.
• 32:17
Speaker 4: I think women are leveling up right now. I think
• 32:20
Speaker 4: that we're in a phase with guys, with the Joe
• 32:24
Speaker 4: Roganization of America and the Andrew Tate and the Curtis
• 32:28
Speaker 4: Jarvins going around. I'm not there yet because I was
• 32:33
Speaker 4: a serial monogamist and I was with this guy for
• 32:36
Speaker 4: twelve years. But I'm getting there, and that's where I
• 32:40
Speaker 4: want to be. What about you?
• 32:41
Speaker 2: I'm not interested in men right now and at all
• 32:44
Speaker 2: I find the idea preposterous.
• 32:46
Speaker 4: Okay, what is it about being without a guy that
• 32:50
  Speaker 4: you like?
• 32:51
  Speaker 1: Everything?
• 32:52
  Speaker 5: I like?
• 32:52
Speaker 2: Am I to be alone? I want to sleep alone.
• 32:54
  Speaker 2: I don't want to hear you breathing. I don't want
• 32:57
  Speaker 2: to smell you, and I don't want I don't want
• 32:59
Speaker 2: breath coming towards me, and I don't want sweating body
• 33:03
Speaker 2: parts on me. I haven't met a man in the
• 33:06
Speaker 2: last six months that I have felt like I want
• 33:09
Speaker 2: to fuck this guy. Like I was in Glastonbury a
• 33:11
Speaker 2: few weeks ago and I was talking to this guy
• 33:13
Speaker 2: and he was French, and I've known this guy for
• 33:14
Speaker 2: many years, and my girlfriends.
• 33:16
Speaker 1: Are like, oh, look, look, look, look like what about him?
• 33:18
  Speaker 1: What about him?
• 33:19
Speaker 2: And I was like, yeah, he's not gross. And then
• 33:21
Speaker 2: I was talking to him. I had a couple of
• 33:23
Speaker 2: drinks with him, he smoked a cigarette, and then afterward
• 33:25
Speaker 2: I was like, Oh, I'm looking at him and I'm
• 33:28
Speaker 2: thinking I could fuck this guy, and then I thought, no,
• 33:31
  Speaker 2: I can't, because you're fucking disgusting.
• 33:33
Speaker 1: And he bring something, he bring something innately.
• 33:36
Speaker 2: That is like there's like I have an I'm having
• 33:39
Speaker 2: an allergic reaction to men right now. And I know
• 33:41
Speaker 2: that it's because of, you know, the backdrop politically, the
• 33:44
Speaker 2: fact that I know, like most of the men that
• 33:47
Speaker 2: i'm dealing with arn Trump supporters. But it's a bigger, larger,
• 33:50
Speaker 2: broader picture. It's because we're in this situation to begin
• 33:54
Speaker 2: with that makes me angry at men. And I'm not
• 33:56
  Speaker 2: a man hater. I do want I want I want
• 34:01
Speaker 2: to want to be with you, but I don't want
• 34:03
Speaker 2: to be with you right, And I am so fiercely independent.
• 34:06
Speaker 1: And when I travel since I mean, I know you
• 34:08
Speaker 1: travel as much as I do.
• 34:09
Speaker 2: I'm sure, I just don't want to do that with
• 34:13
Speaker 2: the same person. Yeah, I want a variety.
• 34:15
Speaker 4: You know, it's funny my last tour because I was
• 34:18
Speaker 4: diagnosed with complex PTSD and you can make fun of it.
• 34:21
  Speaker 1: I can't imagine why.
• 34:22
  Speaker 4: I mean, he's I'm a drama queen. I'm a hysterical
• 34:25
Speaker 4: woman and I'm on the rag. I'm on the rag
• 34:28
Speaker 4: right now at sixty four.
• 34:29
Speaker 2: Well, yeah, you're still getting your periods. Why do you
• 34:32
Speaker 2: think your hair is so red?
• 34:33
Speaker 4: Because I haven't stitched up my vagina yet, and that's
• 34:36
Speaker 4: the only thing I haven't done. So I'm the last
• 34:39
Speaker 4: tour of seventy five cities. What I did it was
• 34:41
Speaker 4: life changing. You know, I don't have an opener. I
• 34:44
Speaker 4: do two hours and I brought a friend Joe.
• 34:47
Speaker 1: Yeah, face off, you take your face off. I'm just
• 34:55
Speaker 1: looking at our time to make sure we don't.
• 34:56
Speaker 4: Now, would you sleep with him tonight?
• 34:58
  Speaker 1: No?
• 34:59
Speaker 2: No, once I'm done, No, not any night ever. Again,
• 35:02
  Speaker 2: there's no circumstance.
• 35:04
Speaker 7: There is no EI.
• 35:04
Speaker 2: There is not one ex boyfriend of mine, okay, that
• 35:07
Speaker 2: I would ever be able to fuck again.
• 35:09
Speaker 1: Okay, once I'm done, it's a wrap, I say, and same,
• 35:13
  Speaker 1: no revisitation.
• 35:14
Speaker 4: Even if you think about the honeymoon phase and how
• 35:17
Speaker 4: the section is super hot.
• 35:18
Speaker 2: At the beginning, the information I have about all of
• 35:21
Speaker 2: my exposition doesn't have to not make me want to
• 35:24
Speaker 2: have sex with them a gun. Yeah, you know, and
• 35:25
Speaker 2: I come friends with most of them, but that took
• 35:28
Speaker 2: a long time too, you know.
• 35:29
Speaker 1: I need like a ten year breakoff.
• 35:31
  Speaker 4: Yep.
• 35:31
Speaker 2: And then when I see you, I could be like, okay,
• 35:34
Speaker 2: and it could be cool.
• 35:35
Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm friends with one, but not well, there was
• 35:38
Speaker 4: one boyfriend in between the two husbands, and I'm friendly
• 35:41
Speaker 4: with him, but the two husbands no, Okay. So I
• 35:44
Speaker 4: take a babysitter with me every pod. So you know
• 35:47
Speaker 4: how like I go out like three cities, then I
• 35:50
Speaker 4: come home for five days. Then I go out and
• 35:52
Speaker 4: do four cities and I come home for six days.
• 35:55
Speaker 4: So every time I would bring and I called them
• 35:59
Speaker 4: a babysitter, and it would be a homosexual man or
• 36:03
Speaker 4: one of my girlfriends or a gay woman or whatever.
• 36:06
Speaker 4: But they would just have a coffee clutch with me
• 36:08
Speaker 4: in the morning, maybe do a walk, hang out backstage
• 36:12
Speaker 4: and just laugh. And it just helped tremendously because my
• 36:20
Speaker 4: this is so bad. Both of my husbands, I made
• 36:23
Speaker 4: them my tour manager. Yeah, well hello, I know, and
• 36:28
Speaker 4: everybody told me at the time, and I went and
• 36:30
  Speaker 4: then you didn't.
• 36:30
Speaker 1: Learn the first time. You did it again? No, what
• 36:35
Speaker 1: about financially? How are you financially?
• 36:38
Speaker 4: I'm really good. I'm good at two things. I'm funny
• 36:41
Speaker 4: and I'm good with money.
• 36:42
Speaker 1: Because it feels like you've given a lot of money away.
• 36:45
Speaker 4: I have given a lot of money away. And like
• 36:47
Speaker 4: I said, my legal and then I'm working for six years. Correct.
• 36:51
Speaker 4: But I also was raised by depression parents, use it up,
• 36:55
Speaker 4: where it out, make it do. And I also was
• 36:58
Speaker 4: raised by Susie Orman, the financial advisor. And so all
• 37:03
Speaker 4: those years of touring and being on TV shows, I
• 37:06
Speaker 4: just socked it away, socked it away, stalked.
• 37:09
Speaker 1: Do you just save your mind?
• 37:10
Speaker 4: I have very conservative investments, like sure, I'll invest in
• 37:14
Speaker 4: Berkshire Hathaway and I just let it sit there. I
• 37:17
  Speaker 4: don't day trade, I don't weak trade. I don't take
• 37:20
Speaker 4: tips from people. I have my money in a third
• 37:24
Speaker 4: real estate, a third stocks, a third bond, well I
• 37:27
Speaker 4: should say quarters, and then a quarter cash.
• 37:29
Speaker 2: Rosie was there for you when you went through your thing, right, Yes?
• 37:33
Speaker 2: Did you have you spoken to her since her thing?
• 37:35
  Speaker 5: Yes?
• 37:36
Speaker 4: She gave me a statement to put out.
• 37:38
Speaker 1: Oh okay when that happened.
• 37:39
Speaker 4: Yes, immediately, and she wrote the perfect statement. It was funny,
• 37:44
Speaker 4: it was honest, and it hit him where he lived,
• 37:47
Speaker 4: and of course he lost his mind. Remember she went
• 37:51
Speaker 4: after him first eighteen years ago when she sat on
• 37:55
Speaker 4: the view and said he was broke and had gone bankrupt,
• 37:58
Speaker 4: and that ticked him off. Then you combine that with
• 38:02
Speaker 4: the Seth Meyers hosting the amazing White House Correspondence dinner
• 38:06
Speaker 4: and then former President Obama doing that hilarious monologue, which
• 38:11
Speaker 4: also I sort of blame those two guys in a
• 38:15
Speaker 4: way too, because they didn't mean to. But when I
• 38:18
Speaker 4: picture Trump sitting there at that table watching Obama get
• 38:23
Speaker 4: those monstrously huge laughs making fun of him and also
• 38:28
Speaker 4: saying stuff that's true, I just and I know Donald
• 38:33
Speaker 4: fairly well, I don't know if you know him.
• 38:35
Speaker 2: No, he came up and introduced himself to me once
• 38:37
Speaker 2: at one of these restaurants on Sunset Bulevard.
• 38:39
Speaker 1: He's, yeah, hello, Chelsea, I'm Donald Trump. I want to
• 38:41
  Speaker 1: introduce myself.
• 38:42
Speaker 2: This was before he was the president, before he ran
• 38:45
Speaker 2: and I was disgusted at that moment as well.
• 38:47
Speaker 1: Yes, the same reaction I've always had to him, which
• 38:49
  Speaker 1: is discussed.
• 38:49
Speaker 4: And he loves celebrities, so it doesn't surprise me at
• 38:52
Speaker 4: all that he would just go up and just say
• 38:56
Speaker 4: as if he knows you already, Hi, Chelsea, you should
• 38:59
Speaker 4: know me. Yes, I've known him since the nineties. He
• 39:02
Speaker 4: hired me one time to roast him. I'm not a
• 39:05
Speaker 4: classic roaster, but as part of a challenge, I'm the apprentice.
• 39:09
Speaker 4: One of the challenges was put on a show and
• 39:12
Speaker 4: he called me and he said, will you be the host?
• 39:15
Speaker 4: And I said where is it? And he said my
• 39:17
Speaker 4: club at Bedminster in Jersey. And I said, Donald, I
• 39:21
Speaker 4: didn't want to fly all the way across the country.
• 39:23
Speaker 4: And I said, but if you want me to mc
• 39:26
Speaker 4: and I think he offered me ten thousand dollars and
• 39:29
Speaker 4: I said, I'll do it for fifty and he did.
• 39:31
Speaker 4: He paid me fifty and I said, but wait, if
• 39:34
Speaker 4: I am C who's like the main act and it
• 39:37
Speaker 4: was Liza Minelli, so I was like, I'm in So
• 39:41
Speaker 4: I will say I did get to spend the day
• 39:43
Speaker 4: with Liza Minelli at Bedminster, which was an amazing experience.
• 39:49
Speaker 4: What was that like? Well, first of all, I love
• 39:52
Speaker 4: her unconditionally, and if she enjoys a doll, then you
• 39:57
Speaker 4: know what, girl, you earned it.
• 40:00
Speaker 2: You when you have like a man with legos, women
• 40:03
  Speaker 2: with dolls.
• 40:04
Speaker 4: Yeah right, No, I mean a pill valley of the dolls.
• 40:08
Speaker 4: Oh my god, I don't mean like, no, not an
• 40:15
  Speaker 4: American girl.
• 40:16
  Speaker 1: I'm so sorry.
• 40:17
Speaker 2: That was stupid, but you know what it is because
• 40:20
Speaker 2: of my close relationship with pills, I just immediately disassociated.
• 40:25
  Speaker 1: Yeah, doll, you're.
• 40:26
  Speaker 2: Right, but that's a sixties term, that's a valley of
• 40:28
  Speaker 2: the dolls exactly.
• 40:30
Speaker 1: But the point taken.
• 40:32
Speaker 2: And I also would like to say on the record
• 40:33
Speaker 2: for anybody who's just tuning in for the first episode.
• 40:36
  Speaker 1: I love dolls.
• 40:37
Speaker 4: She loved dolls, and you know what, Liza deserves a doll.
• 40:41
Speaker 4: And I can't confirm she was on dolls that day,
• 40:45
Speaker 4: but she was delightful and maybe the highlight of the
• 40:49
Speaker 4: day was watching her take a sharpie and put on
• 40:52
  Speaker 4: her beauty mark.
• 40:53
Speaker 1: Anyway, this podcast is about love.
• 40:58
Speaker 2: We're gonna take a and faces and divorces and getting canceled.
• 41:03
Speaker 1: We're going to take a break and come back with
• 41:05
Speaker 1: Kathy Griffin and take a caller too.
• 41:07
Speaker 3: This week we'd like to hear from actors or people
• 41:10
Speaker 3: who work in entertainment. If you have questions about your career,
• 41:13
Speaker 3: life artistic expression, right into us at Dear Chelsea Podcast
• 41:17
Speaker 3: at gmail dot com.
• 41:22
Speaker 1: And we're back with Kathy.
• 41:24
  Speaker 4: We are.
• 41:24
Speaker 2: It's great speaking with you. I'm really happy to catch
• 41:27
Speaker 2: up with you. Yes, always, I'm.
• 41:28
Speaker 4: Always excited to get a caller text from you.
• 41:31
Speaker 1: I will sometimes I have to check in on you.
• 41:32
Speaker 1: I that I really appreciate course, same yours.
• 41:36
  Speaker 2: I just I feel bad that I don't check in
• 41:38
Speaker 2: more and that you didn't have more support during that time.
• 41:40
Speaker 2: You know, it's really it's just such bullshit because I've
• 41:44
Speaker 2: done things like that and not gotten the heat that
• 41:46
  Speaker 2: you've gotten.
• 41:47
Speaker 4: I've done things like that, like I thought that that
• 41:50
Speaker 4: picture was going to be on a gay blog for
• 41:52
Speaker 4: two days. I never thought. And also I think the
• 41:56
Speaker 4: photographer sold it to TMZ and Harvey in my humble
• 42:00
Speaker 4: opinion is very much in bed with Trump and a
• 42:04
  Speaker 4: maga and he's a gay man, so I can't figure
• 42:07
Speaker 4: that part out. But anyway, that didn't help. So it
• 42:11
Speaker 4: was seismic. I know it doesn't make sense.
• 42:15
Speaker 1: It doesn't make sense, but you're here with us now.
• 42:17
Speaker 4: I'm back on tour and I'm on on my YouTube show,
• 42:20
Speaker 4: and i have a Patreon and a sub stack and
• 42:22
Speaker 4: I'm just being as productive as possible.
• 42:25
Speaker 1: Are you on OnlyFans?
• 42:26
Speaker 4: I should be you, definitely should. I have a bucket
• 42:29
Speaker 4: list goal. I would like to win beaver Hunt, which
• 42:32
Speaker 4: is about a beaver. Beaver Hunt is a column in
• 42:34
Speaker 4: Hustler magazine. This is a euphemism for pills. Again, it's
• 42:38
Speaker 4: no euphemism. It's the beaver, as in shoot the beaver,
• 42:42
Speaker 4: and it's where ladies send in a picture spreading their
• 42:46
Speaker 4: pussy and it's a contest and then every month someone
• 42:50
Speaker 4: has chosen from the beaver Hunt to have the best beav.
• 42:54
Speaker 4: And I have a bucket list and I would like
• 42:57
Speaker 4: to be a beaver hunt champion and you, I think
• 43:00
  Speaker 4: you have a great beaver. I think I have a
• 43:01
  Speaker 4: shot at it.
• 43:02
Speaker 1: Is it a redhead beaver?
• 43:03
Speaker 4: Yeah, which you know there's a kink for that.
• 43:06
  Speaker 2: That's that's why I'm asking. Yeah, I mean, I know, yeah,
• 43:10
Speaker 2: I know. I'm basically, do the curtain match the drapes? Yep, yeah,
• 43:14
Speaker 2: do the curtains match the drapes. My syntax is a
• 43:16
Speaker 2: little bit off lately. I think it's because of the
• 43:18
Speaker 2: pain pills that I'm taking for my foot. Your dolls, Yeah,
• 43:22
Speaker 2: the dolls I'm taking from my foot. Okay, Catherine, what
• 43:24
Speaker 2: do we have? We have that's going to be fun
• 43:26
  Speaker 2: for Kathy.
• 43:26
Speaker 3: So Diego will be joining us here, and he says,
• 43:29
Speaker 3: Dear Chelsea, I'm a thirty four year old male who's
• 43:32
Speaker 3: a bit bored with life. I enjoy sitting around, playing
• 43:35
Speaker 3: games on my phone and hanging out with people over fifty,
• 43:37
Speaker 3: as I seem to connect with them more so than
• 43:39
Speaker 3: peers my age. I interned as an assistant in the
• 43:42
Speaker 3: entertainment industry during college for a few names you'd know,
• 43:45
Speaker 3: and dropped out of too many law schools to count.
• 43:48
Speaker 3: I'm really content not working and being lazy, but it
• 43:51
Speaker 3: turns out I need the minimum wage to survive.
• 43:53
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 43:54
Speaker 3: My family is well off and I grew up in
• 43:56
Speaker 3: the country club scene, so now I feel retired and content,
• 43:58
Speaker 3: which really seems to pay off people my age as
• 44:01
Speaker 3: well as my family. Do you have any advice for
• 44:03
Speaker 3: what I should do vocationally or do any of your
• 44:06
Speaker 3: fun friends need a lazy assistant? I enjoy dogs, vaping,
• 44:09
Speaker 3: going to lunch, and taking xanax. Cheers to you, Diego.
• 44:13
Speaker 1: First of all, Diego, we have a ton in common.
• 44:16
Speaker 1: We have a ton in common, except.
• 44:18
Speaker 6: I fucking hustle my ass off so that I could
• 44:21
  Speaker 6: do those things.
• 44:22
  Speaker 1: I don't sit.
• 44:22
Speaker 2: Around on my lazy ass and just wait for xanax
• 44:27
Speaker 2: and vape pens and whatever.
• 44:30
Speaker 1: And people have evict me to pop in and out
• 44:31
Speaker 1: of my life. I mean, you really are a lazy fuck.
• 44:34
Speaker 1: How old are you?
• 44:35
  Speaker 5: Oh? I'm thirty four, and yes, I admit I'm a
• 44:38
  Speaker 5: lazy fuck.
• 44:39
Speaker 2: Lazies this is Kathy, by the way, A second.
• 44:43
Speaker 5: Question for you, Kai, Kathy.
• 44:45
Speaker 4: My question is very simply, will you marry me?
• 44:48
Speaker 5: Because here's my time to marry you. I will go
• 44:51
Speaker 5: down on you. I'll do whatever you need.
• 44:54
  Speaker 1: Well, thank you.
• 44:55
Speaker 2: Lazy going down on someone is actually not lazy, it's
• 44:58
  Speaker 2: at active.
• 44:59
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 45:00
Speaker 5: No, I mean I'm not lazy in the bedroom. I'm
• 45:02
Speaker 5: lazy Okay, the rest of your life.
• 45:05
Speaker 2: So if you chose not to work for the rest
• 45:07
Speaker 2: of your life, would that be a possibility with your
• 45:10
  Speaker 2: family's money.
• 45:11
Speaker 5: God? No, So now I'm totally fucked because I know
• 45:15
Speaker 5: both of you are Trump supporters. Look like it, I
• 45:19
Speaker 5: don't know, but he's garnishing our wages for student loans.
• 45:23
Speaker 5: And I owe about two hundred grand. So I can't
• 45:27
Speaker 5: call mommy and Daddy and say, hey, I need two
• 45:30
Speaker 5: hundred K. Can you wire it over? So I have
• 45:34
Speaker 5: to get my shit together. I have to pull it
• 45:37
Speaker 5: together and get a job quickly. And that's why I'm
• 45:41
  Speaker 5: reaching out.
• 45:42
Speaker 4: Now, why did you keep dropping out of law school?
• 45:44
Speaker 4: And can you go back and become a lawyer?
• 45:46
Speaker 5: So I think I would rather die than be a lawyer. Okay,
• 45:52
Speaker 5: five law schools. I did hustle in law school, but
• 45:55
Speaker 5: it was just awful. It was just not for me.
• 45:59
Speaker 5: And I learned, know, I learned a lot, And now
• 46:01
Speaker 5: I'm sort of content. I'm really content and happy I was.
• 46:04
Speaker 5: I was miserable in law school and now i'm happy.
• 46:07
Speaker 1: Well, of course you're content and happy. You're not doing
• 46:10
Speaker 1: any vaping all day you're vaping and taking I know exactly,
• 46:15
  Speaker 1: and I think.
• 46:15
Speaker 4: Might be on one. You're just gonna.
• 46:18
Speaker 5: Say, I'm actually not, but I have one love of
• 46:22
  Speaker 5: a rethal.
• 46:22
Speaker 4: Soon I'll bet you know exactly when that refill is do.
• 46:27
Speaker 1: I know what my refills do.
• 46:28
Speaker 5: Refs do in a day. But I'm reaching out for advice.
• 46:33
  Speaker 5: That's why I'm here.
• 46:34
  Speaker 6: Well, I mean it's that's a long like a long
• 46:38
Speaker 6: reel to what is the word?
• 46:40
Speaker 1: My word retrieval is off. I'm actually I had some
• 46:43
  Speaker 1: foot surgery.
• 46:44
Speaker 2: You can see my little foot thing here, So I'm
• 46:46
Speaker 2: not as sharp as I normally am because I couldn't
• 46:48
Speaker 2: take all my supplements and all my you know, brain
• 46:51
  Speaker 2: brain juice.
• 46:51
Speaker 4: And all my ship.
• 46:53
Speaker 2: I had enough all my supplements, so my word retrieval
• 46:56
Speaker 2: the last couple of weeks, I'm pretty disappointed in my
• 46:58
Speaker 2: level of mental acuity.
• 47:00
Speaker 1: But anyway, we're here and we're going to talk about it.
• 47:03
Speaker 4: Well, can you follow your bliss? What makes you happy
• 47:05
  Speaker 4: in life?
• 47:07
Speaker 5: So the retirement thing, I like sitting around. I don't
• 47:12
Speaker 5: like to do shit, that's the problem. But I don't
• 47:15
  Speaker 5: have motivation.
• 47:16
Speaker 2: Yeah, we can tell that, But like you want us
• 47:18
Speaker 2: to give you a prescription to do something with your life,
• 47:21
Speaker 2: and you're giving us nothing to work with. You're telling
• 47:23
Speaker 2: us that you want to be retired, but you also
• 47:26
Speaker 2: need to find a job.
• 47:27
Speaker 5: Okay, I did entertain it, like assistant work during college,
• 47:31
Speaker 5: so that's my that's my background.
• 47:34
Speaker 1: But nobody wants a lazy assistant all.
• 47:36
Speaker 4: And nobody wants awful.
• 47:38
Speaker 6: It's like the worst person to be lazy for is
• 47:41
  Speaker 6: a celebrity because.
• 47:42
Speaker 5: They're so high and they used to say that, like,
• 47:45
Speaker 5: who's that dick that just answered the phone?
• 47:47
Speaker 1: That's not your day?
• 47:48
Speaker 4: Oh boy, oh boy.
• 47:49
Speaker 2: I think you need to get through some soul searching
• 47:52
Speaker 2: first of all, before you make any move, because you're
• 47:54
Speaker 2: clearly not going to make one anyway.
• 47:56
Speaker 1: You need to like maybe.
• 47:57
Speaker 2: Lay off the xanax and lay off the vaping kind
• 48:00
Speaker 2: of tight trait off of it. I know that doesn't
• 48:02
Speaker 2: sound like fun to you. I can see by the
• 48:04
Speaker 2: disgust on your face at me even recommending that.
• 48:07
Speaker 4: Tight trade was a good word. So your retrieval is good.
• 48:10
Speaker 1: It's getting there. Okay, good. I just have to practice,
• 48:12
Speaker 1: I know. But you have to get like.
• 48:14
Speaker 2: Your shit together, like this is not something that we
• 48:16
Speaker 2: can help you with. You're in a deficit and you
• 48:18
Speaker 2: need to get out pull yourself out of this. You're
• 48:21
Speaker 2: in a malaise, like you're not really functioning on a
• 48:25
Speaker 2: real level that you have the capability of functioning on.
• 48:28
Speaker 1: Like I would almost say, you have to go back
• 48:30
  Speaker 1: to law school.
• 48:30
Speaker 2: You owe it to yourself to be a productive member
• 48:32
  Speaker 2: of society.
• 48:33
Speaker 1: But clearly you can't do that.
• 48:35
Speaker 2: So why can't you go get a job in the
• 48:36
Speaker 2: interim at fucking Starbucks and get yourself in the That's
• 48:40
  Speaker 2: what I do.
• 48:40
Speaker 5: I hop around with the people there. They don't like me,
• 48:44
Speaker 5: and I get annoyed extremely easily. I get I have
• 48:48
Speaker 5: very bad, irritable issues with people. So I have to
• 48:52
Speaker 5: work autonomously. I need an autonomous job where I can
• 48:55
Speaker 5: be by mich You don't.
• 48:56
Speaker 4: Have the motivation to be a self starter, that's the thing.
• 48:59
Speaker 4: You gotta have the motivation to get your ass up
• 49:01
Speaker 4: every day and do it.
• 49:02
Speaker 1: I've never even heard anything like this.
• 49:05
Speaker 2: You sound like one of my nephews who wants like
• 49:08
Speaker 2: a get rich quick scheme but isn't willing to put
• 49:10
Speaker 2: in any of the work.
• 49:12
Speaker 5: Well, I did hustle for so many years in school,
• 49:15
Speaker 5: and it's just but.
• 49:16
Speaker 1: Then you didn't graduate, So like what no.
• 49:19
Speaker 2: Yeah, so that doesn't matter because you didn't get anything.
• 49:22
  Speaker 1: From that hustle.
• 49:23
Speaker 2: So you now are left with nothing and you need
• 49:26
Speaker 2: money and you need a job. So you kind of
• 49:28
Speaker 2: have to do You kind of have to take your
• 49:30
Speaker 2: attitude of wanting to be autonomous and throw it out
• 49:32
Speaker 2: the fucking window and actually put a whole new personality
• 49:36
Speaker 2: on your you get along with others.
• 49:38
Speaker 5: Yeah, you have to like wha, Well, I try, I
• 49:42
Speaker 5: do try hard, but they can see through it. You know,
• 49:45
Speaker 5: they can see you know, I'm not meant to be.
• 49:49
Speaker 1: This isn't a real phone call. This is not a
• 49:51
  Speaker 1: real phone call.
• 49:52
Speaker 3: I do have a suggestion for like an avenue for
• 49:55
Speaker 3: you to explore after.
• 49:56
Speaker 1: You do some soul searching.
• 49:58
Speaker 3: I have found that people I know who are successful
• 50:02
Speaker 3: in business, there are some people I know who are
• 50:05
Speaker 3: very successful who are the most lazy people I know.
• 50:08
Speaker 3: And it's because they figure out workarounds to not have
• 50:10
Speaker 3: to work that hard. Not saying all business people are lazy,
• 50:13
Speaker 3: but there are a few I know who are like
• 50:15
Speaker 3: very successful, And I feel like you have personality.
• 50:19
Speaker 1: You don't want to do a lot of prep work
• 50:21
Speaker 1: before you go back into a job.
• 50:22
Speaker 3: Find something in sales. Find something in sales. Find the
• 50:26
Speaker 3: most expensive thing that you can sell, whether that's cars,
• 50:28
Speaker 3: whether that's houses, whatever, and like go explore that and
• 50:33
Speaker 3: get yourself an assistant to actually do all the work.
• 50:34
Speaker 2: You know, who's what would be good for sales. Air
• 50:37
Speaker 2: conditioning in Europe. They're gonna need it too, because it's
• 50:39
  Speaker 2: fucking hard over.
• 50:40
Speaker 5: There out of the country anyway, great.
• 50:46
Speaker 2: Dual citizenship, you need to go to Europe and start
• 50:49
Speaker 2: selling air conditioning units?
• 50:52
Speaker 5: Is that like legitimate? Are you?
• 50:54
  Speaker 3: Well?
• 50:54
Speaker 4: They really need it?
• 50:55
Speaker 1: I mean, think about it, conditioning.
• 50:58
Speaker 2: I just came from Europe for two months now, except
• 51:01
Speaker 2: for hotels, and they have so all they're going to
• 51:03
Speaker 2: be doing. And because to actually install air conditioning into
• 51:07
Speaker 2: a house is a major like undertaking.
• 51:09
Speaker 1: It takes like it's like hundreds of thousand of dollars.
• 51:11
Speaker 2: So in the interim, people are going to be buying
• 51:13
Speaker 2: these little units and having those units installed into their windows.
• 51:16
Speaker 2: So you could either sell those or you could choose
• 51:18
Speaker 2: to install those. And I don't know how you're going
• 51:20
Speaker 2: to get your European visa because you're too lazy to
• 51:23
Speaker 2: wait online at the embassy.
• 51:24
Speaker 4: And there is a line.
• 51:26
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, but food.
• 51:29
  Speaker 7: Yeah.
• 51:29
Speaker 5: I mean, look, I'm open to it all. I'm open
• 51:32
Speaker 5: to it all, and I do like the sales idea.
• 51:35
  Speaker 5: I mean, I don't know if I have the personality
• 51:37
  Speaker 5: for it.
• 51:37
Speaker 2: Well, you do have a kind of funny personality, so
• 51:40
Speaker 2: like maybe you should augment that. Like, you do have
• 51:43
Speaker 2: some good qualities in your personality. So I think you
• 51:46
Speaker 2: have to stop talking about how lazy you are. Like,
• 51:49
Speaker 2: that's not going to bring I know. I know, for
• 51:52
Speaker 2: for the purpose of this phone call, it's very helpful,
• 51:54
Speaker 2: but for the purpose of you living your life, it's
• 51:56
Speaker 2: going to have a deleterious impact on everything you do.
• 51:59
Speaker 2: Nobody wants to be around people that are lazy. People
• 52:02
Speaker 2: want to be you know, we live in an ambitious society.
• 52:05
Speaker 2: People want money, they want success. You are sitting here
• 52:08
Speaker 2: telling us you want money. You don't really care about
• 52:11
Speaker 2: the success, You just want the money.
• 52:13
  Speaker 5: Yeah.
• 52:14
Speaker 4: Yeah, he loves retiring. He wants to retire.
• 52:17
Speaker 1: What about working at a retirement community.
• 52:19
Speaker 5: Yeah, you know what, I have thought of that, and
• 52:21
Speaker 5: I think you might be right.
• 52:23
  Speaker 4: Yep.
• 52:23
Speaker 5: And I hang out with the old people all day.
• 52:25
Speaker 5: I make minimum wage, which is fine.
• 52:27
Speaker 2: And then move slowly transition into moving into the retirement community.
• 52:31
Speaker 4: Change A couple diapers won't kill you.
• 52:33
  Speaker 5: Do I have to wipe bass? I mean I don't
• 52:35
Speaker 5: know if you have to.
• 52:36
Speaker 2: Yeah, white ass, think in the beginning you're going to
• 52:38
Speaker 2: have to wipe aass. But but but the other thing is,
• 52:40
  Speaker 2: listen to this.
• 52:41
Speaker 1: This is a great idea.
• 52:42
Speaker 2: Actually, you start working at a retirement community and then
• 52:45
Speaker 2: slowly you enter that retirement community because you want to
• 52:48
Speaker 2: be retired. That's the lifestyle you want, right, you want
• 52:51
Speaker 2: to like play? Do you play video games? What do
• 52:53
Speaker 2: you do with your downtime?
• 52:54
Speaker 5: I play video games?
• 52:55
  Speaker 1: Okay?
• 52:55
  Speaker 5: Absolutely right?
• 52:56
  Speaker 1: Do you golf?
• 52:57
  Speaker 5: No?
• 52:57
Speaker 1: That's too much energy?
• 52:59
  Speaker 5: A little bit.
• 52:59
Speaker 4: Yeah, he said he's a country club guy.
• 53:01
Speaker 1: But he's probably online at a country club.
• 53:03
Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
• 53:04
Speaker 1: He's is he physically actually going to golf?
• 53:07
Speaker 5: Oh? I grew up on the course.
• 53:08
Speaker 2: So okay, well excuse me, okay, well okay. These are
• 53:13
Speaker 2: your two options. You are either going to start working
• 53:16
Speaker 2: at a retirement community or moving to Europe and selling
• 53:19
  Speaker 2: air conditioning units.
• 53:21
Speaker 4: I like the latter, it's very specific.
• 53:23
  Speaker 5: I think you've just nailed it. I think I need
• 53:25
Speaker 5: to work at a retirement home.
• 53:27
Speaker 4: There you go, there go.
• 53:29
Speaker 5: I mean, I'm not even joking.
• 53:30
Speaker 1: You can be the entertainment activity.
• 53:32
Speaker 4: I don't believe your conditioning idea is you every detail.
• 53:37
Speaker 1: But except for the visa that we don't have the user.
• 53:40
Speaker 4: Gesturing the size of the unit, everything. And she said
• 53:45
Speaker 4: you could install them for more money.
• 53:47
Speaker 1: You could sell them, or you could install them.
• 53:50
Speaker 2: I would believe selling them would yield a better profit
• 53:52
Speaker 2: margin than installing them, don't you.
• 53:54
Speaker 4: You should find out.
• 53:55
Speaker 2: It's like blue collar to white collar. So but you
• 53:57
Speaker 2: should definitely find out. You could even talk about it.
• 53:59
Speaker 2: I mean, you could even do the air conditioning idea
• 54:01
Speaker 2: here because there are plenty of regions of this country
• 54:04
Speaker 2: that probably need air conditioning too.
• 54:06
Speaker 4: And therese retirement homes that probably have faultier conditions.
• 54:10
Speaker 1: This is even better.
• 54:11
Speaker 2: You can install air conditioning units in the retirement home
• 54:16
  Speaker 2: when when.
• 54:17
Speaker 5: There you go. You just got it. But if that
• 54:20
Speaker 5: doesn't work, If it doesn't work, I'm marrying Kathy.
• 54:23
Speaker 4: Yep, And it always works.
• 54:25
Speaker 1: Kathy will marry you.
• 54:27
Speaker 2: She's proven herself to marry one idiot after another, so.
• 54:30
Speaker 4: She is okay, I married.
• 54:32
Speaker 2: Yeah, as long as you're willing to take her money.
• 54:34
Speaker 2: When you guys, when she divorces you, I promise, promise.
• 54:38
  Speaker 5: I don't care about the money. I just want a
• 54:40
  Speaker 5: peaceful life.
• 54:42
Speaker 1: He sounds like you also want the money.
• 54:44
Speaker 5: Well, I need I need to pay back that loan,
• 54:46
  Speaker 5: that student loan.
• 54:48
Speaker 1: That you didn't get it to Plomba.
• 54:49
Speaker 4: I would probably do that during the ceremony, Like that's
• 54:52
Speaker 4: how bad I am.
• 54:53
Speaker 1: I would get these.
• 54:55
Speaker 4: I would just pay off the two in ok.
• 54:57
Speaker 2: Okay, right, so there's three options and here now, yeah, okay,
• 55:01
Speaker 2: so we are three.
• 55:02
Speaker 4: Just really up her game.
• 55:03
Speaker 2: I just want to actually yes, And that's kind of
• 55:06
  Speaker 2: amalgamating all three.
• 55:07
  Speaker 1: Well, it's not.
• 55:08
Speaker 2: It's a new idea because him marrying you, then he
• 55:11
Speaker 2: doesn't have to move into the retirement community and he
• 55:12
Speaker 2: doesn't have to do the air conditioning.
• 55:14
Speaker 4: Okay, I'm happy to move into a retirement community, like
• 55:17
Speaker 4: and I'll have a ball or one like I'll redo it.
• 55:20
Speaker 4: I'll have seventeen air conditioning units. All the ideas can
• 55:24
  Speaker 4: be one.
• 55:25
Speaker 5: Are you fifty five yet? I don't know if you're
• 55:27
  Speaker 5: up there or.
• 55:28
Speaker 4: No, I'm sixty four and a half.
• 55:30
Speaker 5: Oh well, fuck o, there you go, let's move in together.
• 55:33
Speaker 4: My fuck is right.
• 55:35
Speaker 1: She doesn't need that yet, do you feel chemistry with him?
• 55:38
  Speaker 1: Be honest?
• 55:39
Speaker 4: I okay, technically, to be honest, I don't feel chemistry,
• 55:43
Speaker 4: but he does fit my pattern.
• 55:47
Speaker 5: Once you get to the point where you need someone
• 55:49
Speaker 5: to wipe your butt, I can be that.
• 55:51
Speaker 2: You just said ten minutes ago that you don't want
• 55:53
Speaker 2: to wipe anyone's ass.
• 55:54
  Speaker 1: You're a flipsydoodle.
• 55:56
  Speaker 4: He's growing.
• 55:56
Speaker 5: Well, if I'm marrying her, then it's part of what
• 56:00
Speaker 5: happens in life. She is my wife.
• 56:02
Speaker 1: Yeah as a newlywed.
• 56:04
Speaker 4: Yeah, are you going to be faithful to me?
• 56:06
  Speaker 5: Yeah?
• 56:07
Speaker 2: Yeah, he's too lazy to cheat on you. I mean, honestly,
• 56:11
  Speaker 2: it takes time.
• 56:12
Speaker 4: It takes time. Yeah.
• 56:15
Speaker 6: Well, I guess we've sorted your life out for you, right,
• 56:17
Speaker 6: I mean it feels like.
• 56:19
Speaker 5: I genuinely think you did. I'm going to start applying
• 56:23
Speaker 5: and I'm not joking.
• 56:24
Speaker 2: Okay, Great, that was a solid call, in solid rounded
• 56:27
Speaker 2: advice that we gave.
• 56:28
Speaker 4: I like how you're mimicking a fake tie, like almost
• 56:32
Speaker 4: like you're manifesting yourself in a suit.
• 56:35
Speaker 2: The interview, Ye, what are you going to do when
• 56:37
Speaker 2: we hang up this phone call?
• 56:39
Speaker 5: I'm gonna play video games?
• 56:41
Speaker 4: And what time will you take the xenax.
• 56:43
Speaker 5: I'm trying to ration because I only have one love. Okay,
• 56:46
Speaker 5: maybe you can help me out.
• 56:48
Speaker 2: Yeah, save that one. I got a whole bunch when
• 56:50
Speaker 2: I went to Europe because I was traveling. So I'm
• 56:52
Speaker 2: set for the next six months because I just like
• 56:54
Speaker 2: have a full supply. That has nothing to do with you,
• 56:57
Speaker 2: because I'm definitely not sharing my xanax with you because
• 56:59
Speaker 2: you need more or I need you to show some gusto,
• 57:02
Speaker 2: you know what I mean.
• 57:06
Speaker 1: Does it feels like he already took some?
• 57:08
  Speaker 2: I mean I mean he's got a little stash. Yeah,
• 57:11
Speaker 2: are you taking propofole?
• 57:13
Speaker 5: And I'm not, but I would be down to open.
• 57:17
Speaker 4: He's a what do you say, flipsy doodle?
• 57:19
  Speaker 1: He's a whoopsie doodle.
• 57:21
Speaker 2: Okay, he's a flipp it and reverse at whoopsie doodle
• 57:23
Speaker 2: flipsy doodle. Okay, all right, Well this was very entertaining
• 57:26
  Speaker 2: and mind blowing.
• 57:30
Speaker 1: Thanks great talking to you. See at the wedding, bye
• 57:33
  Speaker 1: bye bye. Wow.
• 57:37
Speaker 4: Okay, that was a lot. Wow. And I thought it
• 57:41
Speaker 4: wasn't a preak. It could have known.
• 57:42
Speaker 1: I don't think it was. Now I think he was.
• 57:45
Speaker 4: He had a lot of detail.
• 57:46
Speaker 2: He I think he's so far removed from reality that
• 57:51
Speaker 2: he wasn't even put.
• 57:52
Speaker 1: Together a serious phone call. Okay, you know what I mean.
• 57:56
Speaker 4: He covered many bases, many bases, Okay, although I will.
• 57:59
Speaker 1: Say he I've been while not covering any at.
• 58:01
Speaker 4: All, No, and being lazy and really doubling down on
• 58:05
Speaker 4: the like you guys don't are not hearing me. I
• 58:08
  Speaker 4: don't like people. I'm irritable, I have a fake tie,
• 58:11
Speaker 4: and I am lazy.
• 58:14
Speaker 1: He told himself a little short. He was helping his
• 58:15
Speaker 1: grandma move. That would have been helpful, and I mean
• 58:20
  Speaker 1: anything like that.
• 58:21
Speaker 2: He needs to move in with his grandmother into that
• 58:23
  Speaker 2: retirement community.
• 58:24
Speaker 1: Yeah, do you have time for one more call? Yes,
• 58:30
  Speaker 1: we're at We're at an hour, but let's I'd love
• 58:32
Speaker 1: to do one more.
• 58:33
Speaker 3: Okay, this one is a little more sedate. I know
• 58:36
Speaker 3: you have said that you've made a lot of new
• 58:37
Speaker 3: friends recently, and where Chelsea's always making friends. I thought
• 58:40
Speaker 3: this could be a good question. So we've got Dina
• 58:43
Speaker 3: calling in. She's sixty three. Dear Chelsea, I'm writing in
• 58:47
Speaker 3: because your books and comedic storytelling put me in mind
• 58:50
Speaker 3: of a true sage well versed in books and letters
• 58:52
Speaker 3: across with Joan Rivers, hope you can help me. I'm
• 58:55
Speaker 3: a sixty three year old married woman who over the
• 58:57
Speaker 3: last five years lost all my close female friends either
• 59:00
Speaker 3: to moving away or like my two sisters in law,
• 59:03
Speaker 3: to death. Life without these anchors feels turbulent and lonely.
• 59:07
Speaker 3: For the past year, I've been actively trying to make
• 59:09
Speaker 3: new friends, doing things that interest me, and hoping to connect.
• 59:12
Speaker 3: I'm discouraged that it takes a long time to move
• 59:14
Speaker 3: past the small talk. According to Mel Robbins, it takes
• 59:17
Speaker 3: two hundred hours to make a close friend, and anecdotally
• 59:20
Speaker 3: that tracks I'm daunted, Chelsea.
• 59:22
Speaker 1: What would you do?
• 59:23
  Speaker 3: Dina?
• 59:24
Speaker 1: Hi, Dina, Hi, Dina. This is Kathy. Say hi to Kathy.
• 59:28
  Speaker 4: A frown Kathy.
• 59:29
Speaker 7: Oh my god, Kathy Griffin, I love you.
• 59:33
Speaker 4: We're friends now, that's your newest friend.
• 59:35
  Speaker 7: Yep, very much.
• 59:37
Speaker 2: I think you have to listen. There is no prescription
• 59:39
Speaker 2: to making friends. I think you have to remain open hearted,
• 59:42
Speaker 2: open minded. And also the pattern of people that have
• 59:45
Speaker 2: been in our lives doesn't necessarily resemble the pattern of
• 59:48
Speaker 2: people that are going to be in our lives. So
• 59:50
Speaker 2: like you should always look at you know, like what
• 59:53
Speaker 2: types of people haven't you been friends with?
• 59:55
Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
• 59:56
Speaker 2: Think about like opening your spirit more and opening your
• 1:00:00
Speaker 2: kind of the way that you look at friendships in
• 1:00:03
Speaker 2: a different way because you're at a different stage in
• 1:00:05
Speaker 2: your life and you really never know who is going
• 1:00:08
Speaker 2: to come into your life. But I don't believe your
• 1:00:10
Speaker 2: friendship making years are over. And I'm sorry that both
• 1:00:13
Speaker 2: of your sisters in law have passed away, But that's okay.
• 1:00:16
Speaker 2: You're still here and you're still vibrant, and you're still alive,
• 1:00:19
Speaker 2: and you have an ability to have fun and have
• 1:00:23
Speaker 2: things that are in common and whatever your hobbies are,
• 1:00:25
Speaker 2: I would just double down on those things that are
• 1:00:27
Speaker 2: going to allow you to meet people that are more
• 1:00:29
Speaker 2: that are like minded, but also be open to people.
• 1:00:32
Speaker 2: Like if you're in a coffee shop or if you're
• 1:00:34
Speaker 2: out of wine tasting or whatever it is, like, what
• 1:00:36
Speaker 2: do you do for.
• 1:00:37
Speaker 1: A good time? What do you do when you want to.
• 1:00:38
Speaker 7: Go out all of those things wine tasting, book club?
• 1:00:42
Speaker 2: I think go up to people that you normally wouldn't
• 1:00:44
Speaker 2: go up to. Also, in those situations, go up to men.
• 1:00:47
Speaker 2: It doesn't have to be romantic, Like at your age,
• 1:00:49
Speaker 2: you can have a regular relationship with a man that
• 1:00:51
Speaker 2: doesn't have to be sexual. You should think outside of
• 1:00:55
Speaker 2: the box of what you typically expect your friendships to
• 1:00:57
Speaker 2: look like and think like, oh, this would be a
• 1:01:00
  Speaker 2: nice time.
• 1:01:00
Speaker 1: To have in a relationship like this. And who knows
• 1:01:03
Speaker 1: what's going to happen in any of those situations.
• 1:01:05
Speaker 2: But it sounds like you have all of the things
• 1:01:08
Speaker 2: set up for meeting more friends.
• 1:01:10
Speaker 7: I think the structure is there, and that's why I
• 1:01:13
Speaker 7: wrote to you because I was starting to feel a
• 1:01:15
Speaker 7: little daunted and sometimes I feel like I'm dating I'm
• 1:01:19
  Speaker 7: dating women.
• 1:01:22
Speaker 4: Have you considered trying to win beaver Hunt? Have you
• 1:01:27
Speaker 4: to do what trying to win beaver Hunt?
• 1:01:30
Speaker 2: This is a contest or a competition magazine, Hustler magazine
• 1:01:34
  Speaker 2: that Cappy interested.
• 1:01:35
Speaker 4: And a beaver anyway, sorry, it was a bucket list.
• 1:01:38
Speaker 4: Now I'm a big reacher outer, so I will cold
• 1:01:42
Speaker 4: call people, i will guilt them. I've done stuff like
• 1:01:48
Speaker 4: and this is gonna maybe not this most sound advice,
• 1:01:51
Speaker 4: but I've actually met people on TikTok or the old
• 1:01:55
Speaker 4: Twitter prior to Elon, I would DM somebody and then
• 1:01:59
Speaker 4: end up meeting them in real life. After you know
• 1:02:02
Speaker 4: you vet them and correspond with them and FaceTime with them,
• 1:02:05
Speaker 4: and you're not being catfished. But how are you a
• 1:02:08
  Speaker 4: reaching out?
• 1:02:09
Speaker 7: So so I'm a little on the shy side, I'll
• 1:02:11
Speaker 7: admit it. I'm not out.
• 1:02:13
Speaker 4: Yeah, like Chelsea is.
• 1:02:14
Speaker 1: Are you on social media and stuff?
• 1:02:17
Speaker 7: Very active on LinkedIn?
• 1:02:18
Speaker 2: Okay, Well that's a great place to also meet people
• 1:02:20
Speaker 2: and reach out. You don't have to be super aggressive.
• 1:02:22
Speaker 2: You can just say hi, I love your profile or
• 1:02:24
Speaker 2: whatever people say on LinkedIn. I don't know what LinkedIn
• 1:02:26
Speaker 2: really is. Is that for business, like for resumes and stuff.
• 1:02:30
Speaker 7: For business to business?
• 1:02:32
  Speaker 5: Yeah?
• 1:02:32
Speaker 2: So, but that's also a great way to just be
• 1:02:34
Speaker 2: casual with something and be like, oh, hi, I liked
• 1:02:37
Speaker 2: your profile. What do you do in this area or
• 1:02:39
Speaker 2: do you live you know people that live in your
• 1:02:41
Speaker 2: area also, But just broaden the horizons a little bit
• 1:02:44
Speaker 2: more than they are and I think that that will
• 1:02:46
Speaker 2: yield a bigger, you know, kind of field of options.
• 1:02:51
Speaker 7: I like that idea. One of the things I've found
• 1:02:53
Speaker 7: is I'm sixty three and people my age aren't like me.
• 1:02:57
Speaker 7: So I do think I need to broad my horizons
• 1:03:01
  Speaker 7: because I'm not a mom, I'm not a grandmom and
• 1:03:03
  Speaker 7: I'm not right.
• 1:03:04
Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, so you need to find exactly Kathy sixty
• 1:03:08
Speaker 2: four say the same thing.
• 1:03:09
  Speaker 1: So I think.
• 1:03:10
Speaker 2: And also you can be friends with people that are younger,
• 1:03:12
Speaker 2: you know what I mean, like approach people that are
• 1:03:14
Speaker 2: younger that kind of have that sensibility.
• 1:03:17
  Speaker 1: And I think that's a good point. You're not a mom,
• 1:03:19
Speaker 1: you're not you know, you're not all. You're not a grandmother,
• 1:03:21
Speaker 1: you're not all of these things. So but but don't
• 1:03:23
  Speaker 1: lose hope.
• 1:03:24
Speaker 2: Be positive and be optimistic because there's a magnetism just
• 1:03:27
Speaker 2: by being those things that brings things into your life.
• 1:03:30
Speaker 2: So like, don't forget about that. It's positive like positive
• 1:03:33
Speaker 2: and happy energy and actually.
• 1:03:35
Speaker 1: Being present with people yields good things. It brings good things.
• 1:03:39
Speaker 4: I would actually consider hopping on like blue Sky or
• 1:03:42
Speaker 4: Threads or even TikTok or Instagram, because sometimes you get
• 1:03:46
Speaker 4: to see someone's life so much that if you're comfortable
• 1:03:49
Speaker 4: dming them, sometimes it can actually get you a friend
• 1:03:53
Speaker 4: that doesn't take two hundred hours.
• 1:03:55
Speaker 7: Yeah, what is the beaver thing you mentioned?
• 1:03:59
Speaker 2: Oh beaver, you wanted to show her beaver and win
• 1:04:01
  Speaker 2: a contest because it's red.
• 1:04:02
Speaker 4: It's in hustler magazine, and it's a monthly competition, and
• 1:04:06
  Speaker 4: I have what I think.
• 1:04:08
Speaker 1: A monthly competition is her goal.
• 1:04:10
  Speaker 4: And I believe I'm a real competitor.
• 1:04:12
  Speaker 1: I believe.
• 1:04:12
Speaker 7: So I'm sure yours is beautiful. And I wish you
• 1:04:15
Speaker 7: the best of luck.
• 1:04:16
  Speaker 1: Thank you.
• 1:04:16
Speaker 4: Okay, so thank you. She's not going to join, she's
• 1:04:19
  Speaker 4: not going.
• 1:04:19
Speaker 1: To behalf of Kathy. I thank you for that compliment.
• 1:04:22
Speaker 4: I thank you as well.
• 1:04:23
Speaker 1: Okay, you have your marching orders. You're going to be fine.
• 1:04:26
Speaker 2: You've already made three new friends today, so we're your friends.
• 1:04:29
Speaker 2: Be positive, put yourself out there. If somebody's not interested
• 1:04:33
Speaker 2: in a friendship with you, don't take it personally.
• 1:04:35
  Speaker 1: Nothing's personal.
• 1:04:36
Speaker 4: And if you can go to a place or an
• 1:04:39
Speaker 4: event where you are going to be surrounded by people
• 1:04:42
Speaker 4: that you wouldn't normally meet, for example, like if you're
• 1:04:46
Speaker 4: even if you're not a foodie, go to like a
• 1:04:49
Speaker 4: big food festival and you'll just sort of be around
• 1:04:52
Speaker 4: people that maybe you wouldn't cross paths with.
• 1:04:55
Speaker 7: That's a great idea. Thank you very much. I appreciate it.
• 1:04:59
  Speaker 2: That's a it's a great idea, Kathy. That is a
• 1:05:02
  Speaker 2: great idea.
• 1:05:04
Speaker 7: It's a great job with this advice show, Chelsea.
• 1:05:08
Speaker 1: Oh, well, I just want we just want to help people.
• 1:05:10
Speaker 1: We want to I want people to be happy. I
• 1:05:12
Speaker 1: want people to be happy and live their best lives. Right, yeah, I.
• 1:05:15
Speaker 7: Feel thank you very much, that's why I called in.
• 1:05:18
Speaker 1: Okay, give you a bob your thanks so much, Dina,
• 1:05:22
  Speaker 1: Bye bye, Dina.
• 1:05:24
Speaker 4: Oh she's gonna make friends.
• 1:05:25
Speaker 3: Oh yeah, for sure.
• 1:05:26
Speaker 4: She's so nice. And I liked what you said.
• 1:05:28
Speaker 3: About going back to the wall of people you already
• 1:05:31
Speaker 3: know and like you know, dming people or you know,
• 1:05:33
Speaker 3: texting people. Sometimes people come back into our lives. I
• 1:05:36
Speaker 3: thought maybe that friendship has run its course, but people
• 1:05:39
  Speaker 3: stircle back around.
• 1:05:40
  Speaker 5: Yep.
• 1:05:40
Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, Well that wraps up another episode of Dear
• 1:05:44
