Transcript
- 0:21Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to another episode of the
- 0:23Off the Record podcast. I'm joined today by Miguel
- 0:26Connor, famed of Aon Byte, Gnostic radio, prolific author,
- 0:31voice actor, wrote the new book The Occult Elvis, which I highly
- 0:35recommend you pick up. I will put links to the books,
- 0:38to all of his books and all of his links in the video
- 0:40description. Miguel, thank you so much for
- 0:42coming on the show today. How are you doing?
- 0:44Doing good, thanks for having me on man.
- 0:47Awesome. Well, it's a real pleasure to
- 0:49have you. I've been a fan of Aon Byte for
- 0:51quite some time. My channel has been dedicated
- 0:56specifically for the last couple years to just kind of exploring
- 0:59the Anunnaki stuff. But in my research for doing
- 1:02this, I came across Gnosticism and your podcast was one of the
- 1:06first things I ever came across. I think I found you on Spotify
- 1:08back around 2020 and I really enjoyed what you were doing and
- 1:12I've been a fan ever since. So tell us a little bit about
- 1:15yourself, your journey, how you came to Gnosis and and how that
- 1:18all came about for you. Oh, man, that's a long story.
- 1:22A long story that still has no end.
- 1:25I mean, I guess you could say I'm a seeker.
- 1:27I was always a seeker. I was always, even as a kid,
- 1:30asking questions about life and God and all that.
- 1:34I think first moments of gnosis, I remember being five year, five
- 1:39years old and walking with my mom, I think it was Mexico City,
- 1:42and seeing a dead bird and asking my mom, what's up with
- 1:46this? You know, nature's supposed to
- 1:48be, you know, you're 5. And my mom explaining life and
- 1:52me saying, well, is that it? That doesn't seem right.
- 1:55And I've continued my journey, always an outsider, always a
- 1:59misfit, always trying different things throughout my life.
- 2:04I was raised Roman Catholic, but my mom, again, was very
- 2:07ecumenical. So I was always allowed to
- 2:10explore other mythologies and religions.
- 2:13And I wore many mythologies and religions throughout my life and
- 2:17my search. But to me, Gnosticism just seems
- 2:21like the fit as a as an aesthetic, as an ethics, as a
- 2:24theology. And I've been promoting this
- 2:28heresy for many, many moons. And again, I'm still a seeker.
- 2:33I don't know more than you do or any other person.
- 2:36I'm trying to take the inner journey, I'm trying to find sure
- 2:40footing in this universe, this cold universe, and I'm trying to
- 2:45spread a little light and hopefully wake other people up
- 2:49to their own potential and their own designated path.
- 2:53I love that that term seeker because that's a word that I've
- 2:56used to describe myself many, many times.
- 2:57I even I have the, the tears for my Patreon and my channel
- 3:01memberships. We one of the main one is seeker
- 3:03everybody, we're all seekers. We're all seeking something.
- 3:05We're seeking that that ultimate truth.
- 3:09Much like you, I wasn't raised Catholic.
- 3:11I was raised evangelical Christian.
- 3:12Now my dad was Catholic growing up, but he left the Catholic
- 3:16Church. I think he was like old school
- 3:18East Coast Catholic, but he left Catholicism probably when he was
- 3:22much younger and went the Protestant route.
- 3:25But we went to church a lot growing up.
- 3:27I mean, every Sunday, every Wednesday.
- 3:29But one of the things I do give my parents credit for is when I
- 3:32turned 18, they never, they never forced me to keep going to
- 3:34church. You know, they told me like, if
- 3:36you want to keep going, you can. If you don't think this is for
- 3:38you, you don't have to. And you know, after a while, I
- 3:42just, I decided I wasn't finding the answers to the questions
- 3:45that I had there. And that's when I kind of split
- 3:49from that. But I didn't come across the I,
- 3:51I had no idea. But the ideas, the ideas in
- 3:53Gnosticism until 2019-2020, I didn't know that any of this
- 3:58stuff existed. All these books that were not
- 4:01put into the Bible, all these ideas that didn't make it into
- 4:04the, you know, modern Christianity.
- 4:06So when did you first come across these ideas?
- 4:10I think first time when I was in college, I went to a Roman
- 4:14Catholic school, St. Thomas in Houston, and I
- 4:18remember the priests, the professor sort of mentioning
- 4:21Gnosticism, all these strange Christians who believed in
- 4:24reincarnation, stay away from them.
- 4:26It was like he was reading from a script, like he, I don't think
- 4:28he believed it. He was he had a PhD.
- 4:30But it's something that they had to say.
- 4:33This part of the marching orders.
- 4:34I never gave it much thought, but it was only probably around
- 4:38the Da Vinci Code era when Cathars and Knights Templars
- 4:43started being really big. You also had the release of the
- 4:46Gospel of Judah. So there was something in the
- 4:49air and I was curious and started learning about that.
- 4:53But also alternative Christianity and occultism and
- 4:56so forth. But I think pretty much what
- 4:59sent me through, and that even this is even after reading the
- 5:02Nag Hammadi library, was probably Philip K Dick.
- 5:05When I read his his novel Valles, it just made sense.
- 5:09I was like, OK, now I get Gnosticism.
- 5:12Now I see why it's relevant and it's part of our world, why it's
- 5:16useful and so forth. So yeah, I would say Philip K
- 5:20Dick really sent me on it. But again, I'm still learning.
- 5:24Gnosticism is like jazz it it takes a long time to understand.
- 5:28Or what Jimi Hendrix said about the Blues.
- 5:31Blues are easy to play but hard to feel.
- 5:34You can study all you want, but you need to feel it and you need
- 5:38those experiences. And I did have a few Gnostic or
- 5:43Gnostic adjacent experiences during ayahuasca trips,
- 5:48meditation sessions and other work to sort of support that.
- 5:53Yes, we are living in a simulation, the inner journey is
- 5:58what matters and we are all fragments of a divine mind.
- 6:03And at the end of the day, we're all frauds and we are, we are
- 6:07slaves to higher power. Just like, well, if we were
- 6:10under the Anunnaki. What's it?
- 6:12Nothing has really changed, has it?
- 6:14I've always been a fan of science fiction and, you know,
- 6:16stuff like all the stuff that Philip K did did that was ported
- 6:20over into our modern media, modern movies.
- 6:24Minority Report Scanner Darkly was another really good one.
- 6:27I love the way they did that one with the rotoscoping.
- 6:30There seems to be a real like pervasive, this gnostic idea
- 6:34that makes its way into modern media.
- 6:35And I know you've made videos before about, you know, breaking
- 6:38down all the movies where we see it.
- 6:39And then everybody knows the Matrix.
- 6:41That's the that's kind of the big one, But there's so much
- 6:43more. It gets so much deeper than
- 6:44that. We see it kind of kind of
- 6:46everywhere, but most people don't.
- 6:47They don't really understand what they're seeing, but it it
- 6:50seems to resonate with people on a really deep level.
- 6:53Yeah, for sure. I mean, without a doubt, Gnostic
- 6:57minded people like Philip K Dick and William Burroughs and Carl
- 7:02Jung really have influenced our modern culture.
- 7:05They were hugely influenced in the spiritual and artistic vibe
- 7:10of so many Gen. X and Baby Boomers and even
- 7:13millennials. I mean, everybody has been
- 7:16influenced by Blade Runner, Total Recall, Minority Report,
- 7:21that those ideas are as relevant today.
- 7:24And Philip K Dick and his technosticism are behind it.
- 7:29And these film makers and artists and writers continue to
- 7:33pour these very Gnostic ideas, whether it's a Black Mirror or
- 7:39the show Silo or Severance. I mean, it's all there.
- 7:43And of course the climax, you might say the pivotal point
- 7:47might be the late 90s with movies like The Matrix, The
- 7:50Truman Show, 13th Floor, Dark City.
- 7:54Again, these Philip K diagnostic movies just culminated and
- 7:59really became our most powerful modern modern mythologies
- 8:03without a doubt. I mean, you can't deny that Star
- 8:07Wars and all that has gotten comic books are going by the
- 8:11wait side, but films like The Matrix and so forth still are so
- 8:15damn impactful and they are indeed very gnostic.
- 8:19It's almost like it's no no accident that they came out in
- 8:23the late 90's, the turn of the Millennium, the millennial fever
- 8:27where humanity is looking for its next 1000 years and so
- 8:32forth. So without a doubt, and there is
- 8:35a truth about it. Mythologies aren't just nice
- 8:38stories, they're the language of the spirit.
- 8:41They are the stories that give us meaning.
- 8:44They are the history behind history.
- 8:47They may not have happened, but they are true.
- 8:51And in these movies you do see how relevant Gnosticism is.
- 8:56You just look at the precepts of Gnosticism.
- 8:59We live in a simulation. We are controlled by some higher
- 9:04stellar beings, but also these beings have installed false
- 9:09selves or viruses in our head, which the Gnostics call the
- 9:12counterfeit spirit, call it Witiko and so forth.
- 9:16We are realizing that we are all of us trapped by some force and
- 9:21that no one is coming to save us unless we take an inner journey
- 9:25to find our inner Jesus. If you would.
- 9:28The Gnostics always said don't wait for the resurrection.
- 9:32You must resurrect before you die.
- 9:34You see Christ, you must become the Christ.
- 9:38The idea of the Archons is closer to how algorithms or AI
- 9:43work today, especially when you start reading the Gnostic texts.
- 9:47We're seeing reality is not just a block Newtonian thing, it is a
- 9:52layered fluid thing which the Gnostics warned about as well as
- 9:57a simulation 2000 years ago. And they got, you know,
- 10:00persecuted because of this. So we are seeing that we need a
- 10:05divine feminine in Christianity and the Abrahamic faiths with
- 10:09the Gnostics promoted over and over again with the Gnostics
- 10:13were advocating morrising are true, but more seeing how
- 10:19relevant it is today. And again, figures like Philip K
- 10:22Dick, William Burroughs, Grant Morris, and Carl Jung saw that
- 10:28and sort of repackaged Gnosticism in a modern way that,
- 10:32again, I think is extremely relevant, especially as our very
- 10:38reality and civilization collapses in real time around
- 10:42us. Yeah, man, one of my favorites
- 10:46actually was Westworld, which. I was a fan of.
- 10:49The show before I even knew anything about Gnosticism.
- 10:52And then when I started to read about, you know, the
- 10:54noncommoding text and, and get into it and learn all these
- 10:56ideas, then I it all kind of clicked me.
- 10:58I was like, that's basically what they're talking about in
- 11:00here. You know, you got these hosts
- 11:01that they keep coming back and all their memories get wiped and
- 11:04they got to start over again. But they've got all this like
- 11:06trauma from every time they've been, you know, messed with
- 11:09every iteration they do in the park.
- 11:11And it's man, it's just crazy. But I'm, I'm a millennial.
- 11:15I'm what they call an elder millennial.
- 11:16I was born in 1983. So I was 16 years old when The
- 11:19Matrix came out. I saw it in theaters and it just
- 11:21blew my mind. Absolutely blew my mind.
- 11:23I was, I was the perfect age for that movie.
- 11:25I think that was the the target audience was my generation right
- 11:29there. It is, it is.
- 11:30And there's no doubt Wachowskis tapped or knew about Philip K
- 11:34Dick and Grant Morrison and others.
- 11:36And even then, it doesn't matter.
- 11:37It's like, again, once these figures and ideas influence you,
- 11:41it just effects again a whole generation of film makers and
- 11:47artists and writers. And again, Gnosticism is a very
- 11:51important part of it, I would say.
- 11:54Did you see that most recent Matrix sequel they made Lana
- 11:59Wachowski make? They basically told her like,
- 12:01oh, you're going to make this movie or we're going to make it
- 12:04with somebody else. It was a disaster.
- 12:07I mean, I didn't like the first movie is fine.
- 12:10It should have just ended there. I I could it would have been
- 12:13fine. The other two are fine.
- 12:15They're entertaining. I love the philosophies, but
- 12:19it's pretty much unnecessary. It's like the sequel to Blade
- 12:21Runner. God, it's a good film, but it's
- 12:24not necessary. I never watched 2049.
- 12:26I've been really hesitant. People tell me like, don't watch
- 12:29it, it's not worth it. I've probably seen maybe six of
- 12:32the different versions of the original 1 because I know
- 12:34there's all different kind of versions with different titled
- 12:37fonts for the for the opening credits and all that.
- 12:40And one with a Unicorn scene that wasn't supposed to be in
- 12:43there. I it was like reused footage
- 12:45from legend or. Something Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 12:47yeah, yeah, yeah. It's a good, it's a good film,
- 12:50but again, unnecessary. But it is a wonderful film.
- 12:53I would. I would watch.
- 12:55So I want to talk about your book for a second here, The
- 12:57Occult Elvis. Now, I'm a slow reader, so I'm
- 12:59only about halfway through it. I haven't finished it yet.
- 13:02What inspired you to write this book?
- 13:04I mean, I'm guessing you're a fan of Elvis.
- 13:07No, no, I had no choice. I had no choice.
- 13:14Like the it's been cut out, but the original release of Pulp
- 13:21Fiction has a very famous scene where there you have Vincent
- 13:27Vega, John Travolta, and you got the Mia Therma character and
- 13:32she's filming him in their house before they go on their date.
- 13:35Mia Wallace is her name and she goes, there are only two type of
- 13:38people in this world, Elvis people and Beatles people, and
- 13:43they can like each other, but you have to make a choice and it
- 13:47will say what kind of life you are.
- 13:48Later it gets referenced so people watch it today or like,
- 13:52why is she bringing this Elvis person again?
- 13:55But I've always been a Beatles person.
- 13:56I oh, sorry, I was a Beatles person all my life.
- 13:59But as John Lennon said, Speaking of The Beatles, life
- 14:03happens when you're busy making other plans.
- 14:05And that's what happened. It was 2023 again.
- 14:09I started having a series of a voice came in my head and it got
- 14:14amplified after I'd done some ayahuasca ceremonies in Portugal
- 14:18with the Santo Diamond Church. Suddenly there were all these
- 14:22Elvis synchronicities and this voice in my head, head just kept
- 14:26hounding me. And it was Elvis.
- 14:29And so I finally gave in because as I've learned from Plato's
- 14:34divine madness, when a God possesses you, you have two
- 14:38choices. Do what they say and it's gonna
- 14:41be painful. Don't do what they say and it's
- 14:43gonna be extremely painful. So I chose the less pain.
- 14:46So I sat down one February, I think it was 2024, and I within
- 14:52three months, I'd written the whole book.
- 14:54It just, it was, I don't say channelled.
- 14:56I'd like to say quantum entangled with Elvis.
- 14:59And I immediately send it to the first publisher and they took it
- 15:04so and here we are. So it was.
- 15:07I was chosen for this task and now I'm an Elvis person 'cause
- 15:12it was. I didn't know much about Elvis.
- 15:14I knew about his esoteric slants and I'd studied it, talked to
- 15:18people about it, but I didn't know how deep the rabbit hole
- 15:22went. It was incredible.
- 15:23He truly is our modern space age Messiah, the egregore of the
- 15:28American dream, America's shaman, America's magician,
- 15:33probably the most powerful modern magician we've had, much
- 15:37more than Crowley or John Dee or any of those cats.
- 15:42And so that was my mission. And I, I thought it was over,
- 15:46but then another voice came to me and said I had to write about
- 15:49Elvis 2 point O. And I was like, who the hell is
- 15:52Elvis 2 point O? It was David Bowie.
- 15:56So now I've finished writing the David Bowie book, kind of the
- 16:00sequel to this, and that book will be out probably at the end
- 16:03of the year. Wow, that's crazy that, that
- 16:07you, you started out as not even a fan of Elvis and you just, and
- 16:10you just got that, that voice in your head that basically, like
- 16:13you said, the quantum channeling to write the book 'cause that's,
- 16:17it's serendipitous because that's what you're talking
- 16:20about. The type of person that Elvis
- 16:21was that he was just kind of like he had to be this person.
- 16:24He had to be this this prolific person just due to whatever
- 16:29higher forces out there that kind of sets us all in motion.
- 16:35Yeah, as I often say when people ask what's enlightenment, it's
- 16:40just learning to listen. That's it.
- 16:43Part of our journeys to quiet our monkey brain, the monkey
- 16:47voices, our ego and realize that the universe is always talking
- 16:51to us. Our soul is talking to us.
- 16:55The gods are to whatever you want to call it.
- 16:57Your mileage may vary. And it has a specific mission.
- 17:02And that mission is what we're supposed to do.
- 17:04All of us have a sacred duty or what you what you want to call
- 17:09it. And, and if we quiet, if we shut
- 17:13up for once, which most of us, including myself, don't do
- 17:16often, all will be revealed or the path will be shown to us.
- 17:20And we must take this path because it is part of the, the
- 17:24healing of the universe. And again, what our what our
- 17:27quest, what our mission is on this world.
- 17:31I always like what you know, in the limits, always do what I
- 17:35will. And the philosopher
- 17:37Schoppenhauer famously say man can do what he will, but he
- 17:41cannot will what he will. Something is driving and moving
- 17:45us. And if we quieten and I, I, you
- 17:48know, I never expected it would be Elvis.
- 17:50I never expected it would be David Bowie.
- 17:52But I did it, and there's always a prize to play.
- 17:56But I am honored and grateful to be serving the spirits.
- 18:00There's no guarantees of happiness or money or anything
- 18:04else. But again, you are part of, as I
- 18:06call it, Sophia's rescue operation to release the sparks
- 18:11of light from the world. But we all have it.
- 18:12I am no more important than you, Jason, or any listener.
- 18:16We all have an important role because that's how it is.
- 18:20Man, I couldn't agree more because that's yeah, I know you
- 18:23and I are just now meeting. You don't really know anything
- 18:25about me, but that's, that's kind of how I've lived my life.
- 18:27I've never really had a set thing.
- 18:29I never had like some specific thing that I want to do.
- 18:32I'm a musician. I always kind of wanted to be a
- 18:33musician since I was a kid. And I've spent time, I've been
- 18:36in bands and toured across the country, East Coast to West
- 18:39Coast. And it was all just like taking
- 18:42those opportunities as they came up and just kind of going with
- 18:44the flow. And I was in the Army for 10
- 18:47years. I just, you know, I've done all
- 18:49kinds of different jobs and now I'm doing this, this show on
- 18:51YouTube and this podcast. And it's just kind of I've, I've
- 18:54always felt like I'm just going to be doing what, what I'm
- 18:56supposed to be doing, you know, and if something else pops up
- 19:00and, and presents a path, I just, I do that.
- 19:03It's How I Met my wife. We, we met on the Internet and
- 19:06she was in Canada and now she's here in Texas with me.
- 19:09We've been married since 2021. I, I never thought I would get
- 19:12married in a million years. I was, you know, 36 years old,
- 19:1537 years old. And I was like, I'm not that
- 19:18ship has sailed. No, guess it hadn't.
- 19:22You know, she's a musician too. We did some music together.
- 19:25We still make music together. It's, it's interesting that you
- 19:27wrote this book the way you did because in reading it, I didn't
- 19:30know any of this stuff about it. I didn't know that he had any
- 19:32connection to the occult whatsoever.
- 19:33And apparently he was into the, you know, Helena Blavatsky and
- 19:37all that stuff. How did you come to find out
- 19:39about this and and, you know, synthesize all that information?
- 19:43I already knew about it. I mean, there was a time in my
- 19:45life when I was, again, as I was learning about Gnosticism, I was
- 19:50learning about occultism and I was realizing, oh, look at all
- 19:53these rock stars are into the shit.
- 19:55You know, David Bowie was into Thelema and occult Nazism, The
- 20:01Beatles were into Hinduism, Led Zeppelin was also into Crowley
- 20:06and so forth. And I came across Elvis and
- 20:10yeah, he was into Theosophy and. So forth.
- 20:14But I sort of shelved it like these eccentric rock stars got
- 20:18to do what they got to do. That's what that's part of their
- 20:20magic, right? Going into the dark side and the
- 20:24edges of theology. And I didn't think again, I
- 20:27didn't think much about it. But when the voice came to, I
- 20:29was like, my God, he was really into this stuff.
- 20:34I mean, this Taoism, he knew about Gnosticism.
- 20:37He read the Gospel of Thomas and the Nag Hammadi Library.
- 20:40He was really into Manly P Hall, numerology, astrology, I mean
- 20:45you name it and Elvis was studying.
- 20:47He was actually a he almost had like a scholarly mind.
- 20:50He could consume books and really understand ideas and hold
- 20:55them up together when he was, you know, touring places like
- 20:59Vegas. So we see shows in Vegas and all
- 21:01that. He always had a group of workers
- 21:03carrying like 100 books into the occult so he could read them and
- 21:07he was into meditation and all that.
- 21:09But beyond that, he was a natural born Mystic.
- 21:12He could astral travel. He could heal with his hands.
- 21:17He could go into trances, He could manipulate the weather.
- 21:22I mean, he was just all over the place and just an incredible
- 21:27Mystic that defies all logic and kind of makes sense.
- 21:31I mean, nobody. You always look at Elvis, you go
- 21:35at some point luck and talent can't be enough.
- 21:39We're talking the number one solo artist, somebody who's
- 21:42still as famous probably today as he always there's there's
- 21:45some kind of magic as as as the band, Hart sang.
- 21:49He's the magic man and he really is.
- 21:52And you wonder, well, what happened?
- 21:54How did nobody know? It's because, well, I mean, his,
- 21:59his normal life was so sensationalistic, it kind of got
- 22:02hidden. His fans who are mostly, again,
- 22:05conservative Christian, don't want to hear about it, but it's
- 22:09all there. I mean, I didn't go to YouTube
- 22:11conspiracy videos or tabloids or anything for the information.
- 22:15All the information on Elvis from his, again, being able to
- 22:19move clouds from me, be able to make objects move and shake from
- 22:26being able to see into the astral world that's hidden in
- 22:29plain sight. And all the big biographies,
- 22:31whether it's Priscilla, Memphis Mafia family members, they all
- 22:36witness it in different places. And often these things happen
- 22:41when there was a big group of people like, you know, he could,
- 22:45I don't know, make it snow on Christmas to impress Lisa Marie
- 22:49or something. There were Elvis was never
- 22:51alone. Let's put it, he always had a
- 22:53group of people. So it's incredible what a
- 22:57magical, mystical and surreal world he lived beyond his fame
- 23:03and all the things we know him from shooting television and the
- 23:07crowds and all that good stuff. Man, I wonder if a guy like
- 23:12Michael Jackson or Prince was something similar to that.
- 23:17Prince was pretty red pilled. I mean I've seen interviews with
- 23:20he's stalking conspiracies. He'd be, he'd be very happy
- 23:24today if you would, Michael Jackson.
- 23:26I haven't gone down that rabbit hole, but yeah, Prince I, I
- 23:29wouldn't be surprised. I know he had a he had a twin
- 23:32brother that that didn't survive that he lost his twin brother.
- 23:35Probably the most important event of his life.
- 23:39It's what do you call it, a twinless survivor syndrome.
- 23:44When a twin loses a twin at birth or right after that, it's
- 23:49a huge psychological trauma on the person.
- 23:54We think, well, they don't remember, but they do.
- 23:57I mean, twins play in the womb. They're definitely soul
- 24:00connected and it makes a big difference.
- 24:03And when Elvis was born, he obviously was born during the
- 24:07Great Depression and Tupelo, Ms. had to have the birth that house
- 24:12in the little shack. I talk about their many events
- 24:15in Elvis's life. He's so connected to UFOs, just
- 24:18like David Bowie. But a blue light appeared over
- 24:21his house while his dad Vernon was outside having a cigarette.
- 24:25And you know, the, the, the air froze, the coyotes stopped
- 24:31howling everything and it just appeared right over the house.
- 24:34Vernon freaked out and sort of got memory wipe because
- 24:38unfortunately it was a yeah, there was, it was a twin birth.
- 24:42His brother Jesse came out first, but he came out
- 24:45stillborn. And then Elvis was born.
- 24:48And that's the beginning of the story because that was the main,
- 24:51beyond the psychological trauma, that was the main driver of
- 24:55Elvis's life. He that's what made him a
- 24:57seeker. He was a huge seeker.
- 24:59That's why he did everything he did.
- 25:01He wanted to know, why did I survive and my brother died?
- 25:05Why did I grow up so poor when now I'm a, you know, a
- 25:08billionaire. I could have had the best
- 25:10hospital. Why do other people go through
- 25:13this? What's going?
- 25:14And it really drove him. And he wanted to know the big
- 25:17questions of life and what happened to Jesse.
- 25:19And Jesse became sort of his daemon, or conscious, it would
- 25:23appear to him in dreams and visions and guide them and so
- 25:27forth. And it really moved him and I,
- 25:30in the book, I, I you probably haven't gotten into yet, but I
- 25:33compare Philip K Dick to Elvis. They had very parallel lives.
- 25:37I mean, just very, very parallels.
- 25:39It's eerie. You know, you wouldn't you
- 25:42wouldn't think about it. But Philip K Dick is also a
- 25:45twinless survivor. When he was born, soon after his
- 25:48twin sister Jane died. And Philip K Dick said,
- 25:51everything I write about is to try to understand Jane.
- 25:55Every novel, every short story, it was, it drove em, just like
- 26:00it did with Elvis, you know, and you do see that in a lot of
- 26:03mythology, Jason, you've got, whether it's Remus or Romulus
- 26:08and others in mythology, you see a a living twin on earth and a
- 26:13dead twin in the underworld. And this mythology goes and it's
- 26:17very important to for many civilizations, some say it's
- 26:21because we probably, our son probably has a twin like 90% of
- 26:26solar systems in the Galaxy and we won't see this twin and it
- 26:30affects us as humans. But that's neither here nor
- 26:33there. But both were twinless survivors
- 26:37and they've done the studies and twinless survivors, Philip K
- 26:42Dick, Elvis, Liberace, Peter Whitmer, the drummer of the the
- 26:47Turtles. Others, there are certain
- 26:49characteristics. They're very sensitive.
- 26:51They're very mystical, very artistic.
- 26:54However, they tend to be very self-destructive.
- 26:58They have issues making relationships with the opposite
- 27:01sex. They're very extreme, very, you
- 27:06know, bipolar and so forth. So you already know, with people
- 27:10like self-destructive people like Elvis and Philip K Dick,
- 27:13it's like talking about fate. You wonder, you know, is fate
- 27:17set? And both struggled with this.
- 27:20No, I I've struggled with substance abuse my entire adult
- 27:23life. I'm, I'm sober now.
- 27:25I've been sober since 2021, but I had a real.
- 27:28Problem. Developing.
- 27:29Thank you. It developed when I was in the
- 27:31Army because I don't, I don't know if you know much about the
- 27:33US military, but it is a drinking culture.
- 27:36I mean, it is a culture built around it.
- 27:38And for Elvis, it was amphetamines.
- 27:41That's how you got into amphetamines.
- 27:44I've been down that road too. Trust me, once I once I got out
- 27:46and I had access to other stuff, I was I was into other stuff
- 27:49too. And it it it took me to a really
- 27:51dark place and it took damn near ruining my life for me to, you
- 27:56know, get it together and and finally quit.
- 27:58I love that you bring up David Bowie, because that's another
- 28:00one. I really feel like that guy.
- 28:02I think he he must, he must have known his entire life plan ahead
- 28:07of him, because I remember when, when around the time he died, he
- 28:12had just put out that Black Star album and it was almost like he
- 28:15was like saying goodbye, Like he was like, this is the end of the
- 28:17road. And that the music video for the
- 28:19Black Star song was, was just incredible.
- 28:22I remember it was the the first time I ever like really tripped
- 28:25on psychedelic mushrooms with a friend of mine.
- 28:28We watched that that music video and it was, it was an intense
- 28:31experience, but it, it felt, man, I just feel like he must
- 28:35have known. Well, yeah, David Bowie knew he
- 28:39had cancer for years. So this was a sort of a death
- 28:43ritual or ceremony, as I argue in my upcoming David Bowie book.
- 28:48He knew it's it's a Gnostic ritual.
- 28:50It's tied in. I'm not the first to notice it.
- 28:53Other scholars have noticed it. It's tied to the Nag Hammadi
- 28:56Library, to Sophia. Same with his his other video.
- 29:02David Bowie was certainly driven by visions by he was more
- 29:05conscious in his Gnosticism. He'd read the Gnostic gospels
- 29:09and it linked pagles and he was an acolyte of William Burroughs.
- 29:14So I do show him his parallels to Elvis and Philip K Dick are
- 29:18just they're eerie, eerie. They're almost the same person.
- 29:22Elvis and David Bowie, these space age messiahs, these
- 29:26representations of a post war modernist world who are coming
- 29:32to warn us about our plight and silver.
- 29:34But I get I get into the book and yet Black Star very
- 29:37connected to Saturn. And I was just watching that
- 29:43show Peaky Blinders, and they have this nod to David Bowie.
- 29:48Whenever Thomas Shelby is gonna has somebody killed, he just
- 29:52gives them an envelope with a person's name in a Black Star.
- 29:56It's like, Oh yeah, yeah, that's your that's your homage to David
- 29:59Bowie. So it's pretty cool.
- 30:01You think Elvis like fully understood what he was, what he
- 30:04was here to do and what he was becoming?
- 30:06Or is it just a just a kind of go with with the with what the
- 30:10universe sends you? Well.
- 30:12That's a good question. He was a seeker like us.
- 30:15So I mean, he was born very poor.
- 30:19He, he struggled, he was abused. I mean, it wasn't an easy life,
- 30:24but he was always connected to God and his family.
- 30:28And then when he became famous, like many people, he thought,
- 30:32well, fame, money, girls, that'll solve all my problems.
- 30:35No, it didn't. Of course, the material world
- 30:37won't do it. So he went into the army, came
- 30:41back as a movie Elvis, and he started having a huge crisis,
- 30:45spiritual crisis, existentialist crisis.
- 30:47Like, OK, I am the apex predator of the entertainment world and I
- 30:52hate myself. I don't know what I'm supposed
- 30:55to do. And he met this spiritual
- 30:58teacher. He began getting into mysticism
- 31:00and he started having revelations.
- 31:03He started not having to hide his mystical experiences.
- 31:06And he went on a quest and he kept going.
- 31:09His idea was what we talked about enlightenment.
- 31:12He at one point he said, you know, I could be a religious
- 31:15leader. Hundreds of millions of people
- 31:17follow me. I'm going to switch to a guru
- 31:20and start a religion. But he always kept saying, God,
- 31:24what do you want from me? I am here.
- 31:26He was he. He would humble himself and say,
- 31:30you know, you tell me what to do and I will do it.
- 31:33You want me to use my fame to talk about spirituality?
- 31:37If you want me to give even more millions to the poor and other
- 31:41charities, you tell me. So he was always seeking up
- 31:44until the time he died. But again, as a, you know, a
- 31:48twinless survivor, somebody who was severely abused as a child,
- 31:52taking advantage. He had his demons.
- 31:55He had his demons that he was always struggling with.
- 31:58So it was just this dichotomy of him seeking and him trying to
- 32:02struggle with the the material world, the fallen material
- 32:06world. Yeah, 'cause the opposite of
- 32:09that is you get the to start the religion, then you go the L Ron
- 32:13Hubbard route and you end up with Scientology, which is a
- 32:15very damaging, damaging thing for a lot of people.
- 32:19Yeah, Elvis hated Scientology. He loved all religions because
- 32:23he thought it was always man's search for the divine.
- 32:26But his exception was Scientology.
- 32:29He stayed away. He stayed away from it.
- 32:32He, he hated, he called it the godless religion, but you know,
- 32:36the Archons always kind of win in this world because after he
- 32:39left, Priscilla and Lisa Marie went straight into Scientology.
- 32:44He had a lot of of, you know, UFO encounters and stuff like
- 32:47that. Have you ever had any encounters
- 32:49with UFOs, UAP, any type of these phenomenon?
- 32:53Yeah, I think Elvis I detail 3 or 4.
- 32:56And again, he wasn't alone in any of them.
- 32:58These are found in books of people around him.
- 33:01He was very much into ufology. He'd be straight at home, right
- 33:05at home today and all this chaos.
- 33:07He he speculated on the ancient aliens.
- 33:11He speculated on the Ezekiel's wielding A spaceship.
- 33:14But he was very open minded and sophisticated.
- 33:17Again, he never was like, well, it's this or that.
- 33:20He's like, OK, this data text me here, maybe I should consider
- 33:23this and the so forth. Yeah, I've had two, if you want
- 33:29one, Mexico is a kid seeing this object fly over us in a bus on a
- 33:34camping trip. And again, another one was in
- 33:37Portugal, where my cousins and my son, we were, it was a
- 33:41beautiful summer day. So we were walking up a mountain
- 33:44and we saw, you know, sort of the the lights doing this
- 33:47formation above the mountain. There were, you know, going
- 33:51square and moving so fast, like stars at at an incredible speed.
- 33:55And we were like, this cannot be unless it's some sort of test
- 33:59craft that the government doesn't want to know.
- 34:01There's nothing in this in this world moves like that and so
- 34:05bright. So it could have been but I I
- 34:09will have to file it under a UFO experience.
- 34:13I used to be totally sold on the, the, you know,
- 34:17extraterrestrial, they're from outer space, whatever.
- 34:19But in in researching and studying all this, and just as
- 34:22time has progressed and, and more of these phenomenon have
- 34:25happened and, and come out, I'm still trying to figure all that
- 34:28out. What, what do you, what do you
- 34:29think about, about this? Like what in your mind?
- 34:31What is this phenomenon? What are we actually dealing
- 34:33with here? Because it seems to me that it's
- 34:35like it's, it's very related to just human consciousness in
- 34:38itself or maybe like something interdimensional.
- 34:41Maybe there's AI, don't know. I don't know man.
- 34:45Yeah, well, Socrates says he was, he was called the wisest
- 34:49man in the world because he didn't know.
- 34:51Yeah. We don't have enough data yet,
- 34:52and our little monkey brains aren't ready for it or can't
- 34:56explain it. I mean, let's be real.
- 34:58It's always interesting how UFOs kind of mirror our society,
- 35:03galactic federations. And they want to eat us and not
- 35:06just like the gods, just like Zeus kind of was like, I don't
- 35:09know, you know, he looked like some, you know, a mafia Lord or
- 35:14something. So that's always interesting.
- 35:17But at the end of the day, I, you know, when we're dealing
- 35:20with these higher forces or alien forces, they are
- 35:23interactive. Our cultural programming is
- 35:28going to see them as we want to see them.
- 35:30Like ancient people saw these this, this other, these other
- 35:35forms of consciousness and they saw them as angels or gods.
- 35:38We're going to see them as UFOs or flying saucers.
- 35:42There is definitely an other other forms of vibration or
- 35:48consciousness. Call it what you want.
- 35:50Our language and our science is still limited.
- 35:53We're not there yet, but there is another out there.
- 35:57It does interact with us. And because of our, again,
- 36:01monkey brains, we will see it as we want to see it.
- 36:04But it's, as I say on my show, it's a busy universe out there.
- 36:07It's a jungle. There is a lot of other forms of
- 36:10intelligence and it's completely alien and beyond what we can
- 36:15translate, even though we try to create flying saucers and
- 36:19civilizations that look like Star Trek on other planets.
- 36:23But the best thing is interact with them.
- 36:25Interact with these visitors and and be careful because, you
- 36:30know, we go back to the Anunnaki and the Archons.
- 36:33If we can say there's one certainty in this universe,
- 36:38probably more than death and taxes, is hunger feeding.
- 36:42This universe runs on energy and everything needs the energy of
- 36:47something else to be able to do its thing and survive.
- 36:51So some of these intelligence, whether it's you call them the
- 36:55Archons or the Anunnaki, we're the main course.
- 36:58We're on the menu. They'll feed off our louche or,
- 37:01or like the Matrix, our our electricity in our brains and
- 37:06they will take from us. They will take for them.
- 37:08And also the other certainty in the universe tricksters this,
- 37:12whether it's machine elves or archons or anything, we're
- 37:16dealing with beings that have no use for our human morality.
- 37:21They have an agenda. We don't know what the agenda
- 37:24is, and often it's there that again, we are their cattle and
- 37:29we must sort of breakthrough whatever illusion there is.
- 37:32But there's always help on the way.
- 37:33There is always energy and forces, including our inner
- 37:37self, that are there to help us breakthrough the Matrix or the
- 37:41simulation. Well, that's the best I can.
- 37:44I mean, I always say it begins and ends with the inner journey.
- 37:48What did Peter, Peter Gabriel say in the carpet crawlers?
- 37:51You got to get in to get out. We have Infinity within us.
- 37:56If we go into our inner journey, if we learn about enlightenment,
- 37:59which is listening to our soul, our voice, we'll find a way out
- 38:04and we'll find a way to negotiate with these other
- 38:08intelligence, consciousness, existence is out there.
- 38:11But yeah, it's a busy universe out there, Jason.
- 38:14When I stopped going to church, I spent, you know, quite a few
- 38:17years as like the what they call the village atheist.
- 38:19And that never worked for me. I couldn't, I couldn't do that
- 38:22materialist reductionist framework because the way I see
- 38:26it, there is some I get really annoyed with, like really smug
- 38:30anthropologist that just said, oh, we're just an animal.
- 38:32There's no, there is no difference between human beings
- 38:35and every other animal on this planet.
- 38:36I'm like, are you insane? Like what is I don't, I can't
- 38:40wrap my head around this because there is something clearly
- 38:44different between humanity and other animal life on this.
- 38:48And I'm not saying that animals don't have, you know, souls or
- 38:51parts of the divine spirit within them.
- 38:53I look into the eyes of my cats and I can see it.
- 38:55You know, I've had dogs, I can see it.
- 38:57But there's something fundamentally different, I think
- 39:00about us. I don't know if you would agree
- 39:02with that or not or how you what you think about that.
- 39:06Yeah, for sure. I mean, we have the ability for
- 39:09metacognition, abstract thought, which as far as we know, other
- 39:14animals don't know. Maybe we'll discover it's not
- 39:16true. But at this point in history and
- 39:18science, we have that metacognition abstract thoughts.
- 39:22So that puts us in a very different place, probably, maybe
- 39:25a different place than all other forms of consciousness in the
- 39:28universe. And that's fine.
- 39:30That's why I liked what the Gnostics and the Hermeticists
- 39:33say is that we are in between heaven and earth.
- 39:38What did Platinus say? We are caught between the gods
- 39:42and the beasts. Or as Terry Pratchett said, we
- 39:45are where the fallen Angel meets the rising ape.
- 39:48We have a certain useful place in this cosmos, and we must do
- 39:53our job because that's how we help the cosmos.
- 39:55As Gary Lachman calls it. We're the caretakers of the
- 39:57cosmos. We're not more important, these
- 40:00beings up there and these animals down there from the
- 40:03insect. To the mighty God, we all have a
- 40:07role and our role in a way is to get the universe right.
- 40:12So we do have our own place in it.
- 40:15We just don't have to be arrogant.
- 40:17I always like what there's a gnostic called Mani who always
- 40:20said mankind is the most irredeemable animal in the
- 40:25world. I would agree with we have a
- 40:27shadow side. We do when we screw up, we
- 40:29destroy a lot and we consume and we can put the very planet and
- 40:34just pure destruction. So we have a lot of opportunity,
- 40:38but we also have a big shadow side like everything else has.
- 40:44Yeah, that's the part that that gets me is when people tell me
- 40:47like, oh, we're just another animal.
- 40:48I'm like, look at what we do to the planet.
- 40:51Find me, I defy you. Find me another life form on
- 40:55this planet that does what we do to the environment, for better
- 40:59or worse. I mean, you can think what you
- 41:01want. I don't, I don't care if you're
- 41:02a climate change denier or if you're a Greenpeace, you know,
- 41:06all the way like save the planet.
- 41:09It can't be denied. Look at what we do to this, what
- 41:11we've done to this place. It's, it is irreparably changed
- 41:15since for how it was, you know, before human beings came to
- 41:20civilization or how it would be if we weren't here.
- 41:23I mean that's, that's undeniable.
- 41:26For sure, for sure we have a dark side and a light side, but
- 41:30I think everything else does too.
- 41:32What do you think about you've been keeping up with the news,
- 41:35all these scientists and and researchers that have been
- 41:37showing up missing or, or, or dead, Have you been following
- 41:40this? I have, I have and we're still
- 41:43early in the investigation, but sometimes I wonder if there's a
- 41:48a realignment something. Yes, obviously I believe
- 41:52everything's possible. I like to throw everything like
- 41:56spaghetti on the wall. Conspiracy, the alien attack,
- 41:59you know, and I just stare at it and see what the best argument
- 42:03is. And some arguments get stronger
- 42:05as time, some get weaker. And I go by there.
- 42:08But it is very curious what's happening.
- 42:11But it's possible it's some sort of cosmic alignment too.
- 42:16Or maybe the Archons, the rulers of this universe, are realigning
- 42:20thing. They don't even have to hire
- 42:21hitmen. They just make reality do what
- 42:24they want, kind of like the Nordics or something.
- 42:27But in 2016, it almost seems there was a realignment.
- 42:31You had people again, David Bowie, Prince, so many artists
- 42:36and actors were passing away. It was almost like there was a
- 42:39changing of the era, which led us to obviously the era of Trump
- 42:44in 2016, the era of the Trickster and so forth.
- 42:47So this could be something where things are getting realigned
- 42:50because, again, we're obviously in the changing of an era, so
- 42:55maybe old guard, old thoughts are getting wiped out.
- 42:58I mean, I just heard Pete Carroll pass, you know, one of
- 43:01the founders of Chaos Magic. What a loss.
- 43:04You know, we've had David Wilcock and everything.
- 43:06So maybe something's changing. And again, it's a realignment of
- 43:11old souls being put away and new ones coming out for some sort of
- 43:17new dispensation. Maybe it's some sort of our
- 43:19conic power wiping out people that are too dangerous.
- 43:23Maybe it's a government conspiracy.
- 43:26Maybe it's all of the above. Who knows?
- 43:29Reality tends to be pretty interactive and brittle.
- 43:31But again, I just go down the rabbit holes and gather data.
- 43:36Don't you know if any? As I always say on my show,
- 43:39we're running with those searching for the truth and
- 43:41avoiding those who have found it, those who already have it
- 43:44all figured out. They're like your evangelical
- 43:47pastor or my Catholic priest. I don't want to deal with you.
- 43:51Yeah, you got all. You got it all figured out.
- 43:53You do you. I'm on my journey.
- 43:56Seeking still. I've been to the Oracle at
- 43:58Delphi and she told me that I am the wisest of all greens because
- 44:01I alone know that I know nothing.
- 44:03For some, I heard that I was like, dude, that is that's where
- 44:06it's at because I can't abide the, the arrogance of people
- 44:09that claim to know everything because I certainly don't.
- 44:11I could be wrong about everything.
- 44:14And a lot of people don't like this about me because they they,
- 44:16they find me. It's hard for me to, you know,
- 44:17plant my feet on something. They're like, won't you take a
- 44:20stance, pick a side. I'm like, I because why?
- 44:23I don't, I don't like team sports.
- 44:25I never have. I don't.
- 44:26The last election I voted in was 2004 and I voted for Ralph
- 44:30Nader, if you can believe that. Why?
- 44:33Not. It's all a waste anyway.
- 44:35Yeah. I don't vote either.
- 44:37I'm not giving consent to this Arconic machinery that just
- 44:41farms our louche. I can't.
- 44:43It's broken. Everything's broken.
- 44:45That's what Philip K Diggs said. Our political systems are
- 44:49broken. Our our art is broken.
- 44:51The gods are broken. Reality's broken.
- 44:55When we realize, we can start finding new solutions and
- 44:59building new systems that will hopefully work for the common
- 45:03man and the dispossessed and the powerless and everybody.
- 45:09I do think you're right. I think everything is cyclical
- 45:11and everything moves in cycles. And we we see this from time
- 45:14immemorial and every tradition shows us this.
- 45:17As you know, in Hinduism, everything is these, you know,
- 45:20from very small cycles to these massive cosmic cycles that last
- 45:25millions and billions of years. And it's, it's I think we're,
- 45:28we're in another changing right now.
- 45:30You know, 2016, like you said, was definitely, definitely a
- 45:33big. Yeah, you'd have to have to be
- 45:35crazy not to see it. Yeah, Yeah.
- 45:38I mean, it's obviously the American empire's collapsing.
- 45:42It's obviously reality shifting and there's all the signs, all
- 45:45the data. So.
- 45:46But it's us. It doesn't mean we have to sit
- 45:48there like in some sort of apocalypse, dystopian movie.
- 45:52We can change our reality. We can transition to, I don't
- 45:56know about a better world, but a more suitable world.
- 46:00But I always say this is the age of the trickster.
- 46:02This is the age of Hermes. We have to embrace that vibe
- 46:06like Elvis and David Bowie did. I mean, it's all there.
- 46:10Nobody can figure out anything. Have you noticed?
- 46:12I mean, Trump came out of nowhere and confused people and
- 46:16it still does. The virus came and confused
- 46:20people, crypto, AI, you know, nobody thought that Russia was
- 46:24going to invade Ukraine. Nobody.
- 46:26We, we don't even know what kind of war is going with Iran.
- 46:29We've got like Schrodinger straight.
- 46:31It's both open and closed at the same time.
- 46:34They're just shooting at the sky.
- 46:36You know, nobody has figured it out and nobody knows which way
- 46:40to go. Even the evil people and the
- 46:42establishment seem to be lost and confused and they're trying
- 46:47the old false flags and solutions to bribe us and it's
- 46:51not working. So this is the age of the
- 46:53trickster. But Hermes leads the way.
- 46:56The doorways are for Hermes and Krishna and Hecate and on Loki.
- 47:02Hermes leads the way and but he might lead you astray.
- 47:05He's the door. He's the God of doorways.
- 47:08And as a civilization and individuals, we are going
- 47:11through a doorway. So embrace that trickster thing.
- 47:14UFOs, of course, tied to tricksters and they appear
- 47:18during the changing of the age after World War 2 and the rise
- 47:23of the Cold War and the American Empire, tons of UFOs were
- 47:27appearing. So this is all.
- 47:29The signals are there, the omens are there, but we can make a
- 47:33difference and we can make it better.
- 47:36That's one of the big realizations that you have to
- 47:38have it when when you become an adult, you're like, oh, crap,
- 47:40You mean nobody knows what's going on, OK.
- 47:43Everybody's winking it. That's when the floor kind of
- 47:46falls out from underneath you, when you have finally realize
- 47:48that, oh, shoot, nobody knows what's going on.
- 47:51OK, so we got to figure this out ourselves.
- 47:54Nobody's coming to save you. No government, persons,
- 47:57religious institution, we, we're here to lean on each other and
- 48:02help each other. We are lights on a journey and
- 48:05we can share and offer assistance, but nobody's coming
- 48:09to save us. We have to go within and we have
- 48:12to find the answers and find what each of our roles is in
- 48:17this transition or in any age. What's one thought you'd want to
- 48:21leave everybody with? Well, most people don't want to
- 48:23wake up. Why would they?
- 48:25It's the ignorance is bliss. The comfortable lie keeps us
- 48:29going. You know, people want safety
- 48:32over freedom. Unfortunately, the more freedom
- 48:35we have, the less safety we have.
- 48:37The more safety we have, the less freedom we have.
- 48:39That's one of the paradoxes of life.
- 48:41And we humans, we are pack animals.
- 48:45We huddle together. If we work together, we're nice
- 48:50little sheep, but we tend to survive.
- 48:52Not everybody is like that. In every tribe there's a shame
- 48:56in in every tribe there's a witch.
- 48:58In every civilization, there's one per There are people who
- 49:01want to join the mystery schools and so forth.
- 49:04There are those who want to take the inner journey or go out of
- 49:09their bodies, deep into the stars and make contact with
- 49:12higher forms of consciousness. And that's fine.
- 49:16People like us, seekers, Mystics, we have a role and we
- 49:21have to be careful because in societies those are the people
- 49:24who are hated. The machine, the Archons don't
- 49:26want these figures to be around, but in a way they are also part
- 49:30of a healthy society. So keep doing what you're doing
- 49:35if that's your role, if you're not ready to wake up, that's
- 49:39your choice too. You say you were into drugs.
- 49:42You know the old saying. How do you know you've hit rock
- 49:46bottom when you stop digging? And some point I stopped digging
- 49:51and I had to sober up and live the life of recovery, the life
- 49:54of God. And it's a journey without end.
- 49:58There is no end. What did the Hindu say?
- 50:01Life is a game that must be played but cannot be won.
- 50:05But as Ursula Le Guin said, how you play is what you win.
- 50:10So fight the good fight, finish the race, keep the faith.
- 50:15It's not going to be easy, and it's going to be it's hard, but
- 50:19it really is worth it. It really is worth it.
- 50:23Miguel, thank you so much for having this conversation with me
- 50:26today, man. I really appreciate it.

- 50:36what to do. Thank you.
- 50:38Thank you very much. I guess we had to do an Elvis
- 50:41impression. It's just the way it is.
- 50:44Yeah. I mean, God, I don't even know.
- 50:46Does the Internet even work anymore?
- 50:48I do have a website. It's called The God Above God.
