- 0:04Speaker 1: NFL Power Rankings is a production of the NFL in
- 0:07Speaker 1: partnership with iHeartRadio.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Are you ready for another week of the NFL Power
- 0:16Speaker 2: Rankings shovers that of I Energizer. Happy holidays to you
- 0:19Speaker 2: and yours from our studios.
- 0:21Speaker 3: In Los Angeles. My name is Andrews.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Ciciliano, the man on the other side of the screen,
- 0:27Speaker 2: the man who makes the Power Rankings. You can see
- 0:29Speaker 2: him by the way, just scan the QR code right there.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Happy holidays to Eric at home. And you know what's happy? Eric?
- 0:34Speaker 2: When you have four of the top seven and five
- 0:37Speaker 2: of the top nine losing, your life must be miserable.
- 0:41Speaker 4: It is.
- 0:41Speaker 5: I didn't well, I guess it made it easier. I
- 0:43Speaker 5: didn't move anyone down or up because I didn't know
- 0:45Speaker 5: what to do with any of these teams.
- 0:46Speaker 4: Are they for real? Are they contenders?
- 0:48Speaker 3: What are they?
- 0:48Speaker 4: We'll have to find out.
- 0:49Speaker 3: I guess, Oh, man, I don't know.
- 0:50Speaker 2: NFL dot Com slash Power Rankings organ scanned the QR
- 0:54Speaker 2: code where for the second consecutive week you're going to
- 0:57Speaker 2: see the forty nine ers here as the number one team.
- 0:59Speaker 3: They punched the Eagles in the mouth. They then came back.
- 1:02Speaker 2: I had a little bit of a challenge early from
- 1:04Speaker 2: the Seahawks, but they are the number one. And then
- 1:07Speaker 2: you have the Ravens at number two, who needed over
- 1:09Speaker 2: time to beat the Rams, but they are just fine.
- 1:12Speaker 2: And then it kind of gets interesting. You got the
- 1:14Speaker 2: Cowboys at three, the Eagles at four. That game was
- 1:18Speaker 2: over in five minutes against Philadelphia on Sunday night, the Dolphin.
- 1:23Speaker 2: I mean, everyone's hurting they lost it home to the Titans,
- 1:25Speaker 2: but they don't move.
- 1:27Speaker 3: I mean there's a dilemma because what do you do
- 1:28Speaker 3: because the.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Chiefs lost and they're still complaining and they're at six,
- 1:32Speaker 2: and then the Lions lost like they should have lost
- 1:34Speaker 2: to the Bears last time, and they're at seven, and
- 1:37Speaker 2: then the fighting Joe Flacco's move up to eight. I mean, hey,
- 1:43Speaker 2: where do we begin eric other than saying I think
- 1:47Speaker 2: clearly the forty nine ers.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Are one, and then it's kind of just thrown against
- 1:52Speaker 3: the wall.
- 1:53Speaker 5: Yeah, the group of halves right now feels like one
- 1:57Speaker 5: or maybe a very small group of teams, and the
- 1:59Speaker 5: forty nine ers are definitely charter members of that right now.
- 2:01Speaker 4: I mean, forget the three game losing streak. They've been great.
- 2:04Speaker 4: They were great before it everything sees to me clicking.
- 2:07Speaker 5: The interesting thing about Sunday Andrew is that it really
- 2:10Speaker 5: wasn't consistent. They didn't get in the offensive flow till late.
- 2:13Speaker 5: But when you have Deebo Samuel and Christian McCaffrey and
- 2:16Speaker 5: Brandon Aiyuk and at George Kittle ripping off big plays
- 2:19Speaker 5: the way they did. They got more than half their
- 2:21Speaker 5: yard Sunday on eight plays. So it's a little bit
- 2:24Speaker 5: hot and cold, but they find a way and they
- 2:26Speaker 5: get pretty good health on defense. They were worried about
- 2:28Speaker 5: Travaria's ward our grave. Both those guys seem to like
- 2:31Speaker 5: they're okay long term. So the winners keep on winning.
- 2:35Speaker 3: And they get Arizona this week.
- 2:37Speaker 2: That game is in Arizona, then the Christmas night home
- 2:40Speaker 2: game against the Ravens.
- 2:42Speaker 3: But the forty nine Ers are the one seed.
- 2:44Speaker 2: In the NFC, and they have the head to head,
- 2:46Speaker 2: which is the most important thing, against both the Cowboys
- 2:50Speaker 2: and the Eagles. They stomped on both of those teams,
- 2:53Speaker 2: so they have a clear path to number one. With
- 2:57Speaker 2: San Francisco still number one in our power rankings.
- 3:00Speaker 3: The Ravens are number two.
- 3:03Speaker 2: They needed over time, I mean again They've had some
- 3:05Speaker 2: battles at home. They weren't able to win that game
- 3:09Speaker 2: against the Browns a couple of weeks ago. That was
- 3:11Speaker 2: a huge game at home. This one kind of felt
- 3:13Speaker 2: the same. But this one, Eric they pulled out and
- 3:16Speaker 2: with the Dolphins losing, get to them at a second,
- 3:19Speaker 2: I mean, Baltimore's got that clear path to number one.
- 3:23Speaker 5: Yeah, it seems pretty clear right now, at least the
- 3:26Speaker 5: way the Dolphins play. Weren't able to put the Titans away,
- 3:29Speaker 5: suffered a huge setback. So this is Baltimore's game. You're right,
- 3:32Speaker 5: it did take some effort there, but a lot of
- 3:34Speaker 5: good things did come out of this game. I think
- 3:36Speaker 5: Lamar Jackson in the downfield passing game to Obj to
- 3:39Speaker 5: Isaiah likely to Jay Flowers who had the touchdown and
- 3:43Speaker 5: the crucial two point conversion. They don't get that they
- 3:46Speaker 5: don't win the game because the Rams did kick a field.
- 3:48Speaker 4: Goal to tie it right after that.
- 3:49Speaker 5: So you know, also the huge special teams play in overtime,
- 3:53Speaker 5: typical Ravens play. They find the guy, the fifty third
- 3:56Speaker 5: man on the roster, if you will, goes and wins
- 3:59Speaker 5: it for him.
- 3:59Speaker 4: You know.
- 4:00Speaker 5: Defensively, a little bit of concern. Kyle Hamilton gets banged up,
- 4:03Speaker 5: it sounds like they avoided a mere injury with him though,
- 4:05Speaker 5: so and look, Marlon Humphrey back struggle a little bit
- 4:08Speaker 5: in this game.
- 4:09Speaker 4: But to me, Andrew, if.
- 4:10Speaker 5: You remember his first game back after missing the first
- 4:13Speaker 5: four contests of the season, he struggled but then was
- 4:15Speaker 5: good after that, so I assume this is just an
- 4:17Speaker 5: acclamation period.
- 4:19Speaker 2: The schedule though for the Ravens is brutal Karin Jacksonville
- 4:23Speaker 2: on Sunday night, although the Jaguars aren't any good at home,
- 4:26Speaker 2: they're two and four at home. Then they have to
- 4:29Speaker 2: go to San Francisco as mentioned on Christmas.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Night, then Miami.
- 4:34Speaker 2: That game is in essence week seventeen for the number
- 4:36Speaker 2: one overall seed, and then the Steelers at home Week eighteen.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Who knows what the Steelers are fighting for, but the
- 4:43Speaker 2: Ravens will likely have to win that game to hold
- 4:45Speaker 2: on to number one. But they do have that clear
- 4:47Speaker 2: path and they stay at number two. The Cowboys are
- 4:51Speaker 2: up one. They are number three, and they are our
- 4:55Speaker 2: team of the week presented by Truest. They got a
- 4:59Speaker 2: good win, Eric congratulations to the Dallas Cowboys or a
- 5:04Speaker 2: hitting a good win, a really really good win, and
- 5:08Speaker 2: if they had not been stomped by the forty nine
- 5:10Speaker 2: ers in Santa Clara a month ago, six weeks ago,
- 5:14Speaker 2: whatever that was on that Sunday night, I guess you
- 5:17Speaker 2: kind of might make an argument they have a claim at.
- 5:19Speaker 4: Number one, right.
- 5:22Speaker 5: I mean, that game is probably the difference right there.
- 5:24Speaker 5: Arizona losing to them earlier in the season too, But still,
- 5:27Speaker 5: I think you look at the momentum they've made and
- 5:29Speaker 5: the progress they've had since, you know, really the last
- 5:32Speaker 5: two months or so, and since that.
- 5:34Speaker 4: San Francisco game. Dak Prescott's been terrific.
- 5:37Speaker 5: I don't know that the other night was his finest performance,
- 5:39Speaker 5: but outplay. Jalen Hurts had everything going in the first half,
- 5:43Speaker 5: and how about a little clapper Mike McCarthy for a
- 5:46Speaker 5: guy was on the operating table days before the game. Oh,
- 5:49Speaker 5: she showed a lot of life play calling, got a
- 5:53Speaker 5: TD reversed, and made a tough call on a couple
- 5:56Speaker 5: of long field goals that worked out.
- 5:57Speaker 4: So he was flipping aces all night.
- 5:59Speaker 5: The first half was brilliant and it was a statement
- 6:02Speaker 5: performance overall by Dallas.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Dak is looking at an MVP here potentially he's playing
- 6:07Speaker 2: lights out. They're working everyone into the offense. Tony Coller
- 6:11Speaker 2: Recodowbdell was able to come back from injury. He showed
- 6:13Speaker 2: great burst here as well. And you spoke of the
- 6:16Speaker 2: appendix injury. Did you see they had Matt will Let's
- 6:18Speaker 2: Go the offensive lineman standing near McCarthy the entire game. Honestly,
- 6:22Speaker 2: he was there to protect Yeah, McCarthy if there was
- 6:26Speaker 2: any sideline trapnel coming at the coach where he would
- 6:29Speaker 2: have to get out of the way. Only a couple
- 6:31Speaker 2: of days off the operating table, Matt will Let's Go
- 6:34Speaker 2: was there.
- 6:34Speaker 4: The block form.
- 6:36Speaker 5: Hey, we'll do that down to the seier ball. I'll
- 6:38Speaker 5: be your protection when you roam around on the sideline.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Steel because that's what I need. Obviously, I have to
- 6:44Speaker 2: roll with security. I'm going to be in Alabama, so
- 6:46Speaker 2: I need those two state troopers a la Nick Saban
- 6:48Speaker 2: whenever I walk out onto the field with the big
- 6:50Speaker 2: wide brim hats.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I approve.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Let's do then Cowboys in Buffalo this Sunday, by the way,
- 6:57Speaker 2: it's going to be cold, like maybe in the high thirties,
- 7:02Speaker 2: So we'll see how the Cowboys deal with that. After
- 7:04Speaker 2: beating the Eagles, who are now down one. Let's talk
- 7:07Speaker 2: about them. They are now number four in your power rankings,
- 7:11Speaker 2: and they could have some weather as well.
- 7:13Speaker 3: They have to go to Seattle, cold, rainy Monday night. Here.
- 7:18Speaker 2: This is just another trip, another stop on a gauntlet
- 7:23Speaker 2: of a schedule. But the Eagles have been beaten badly
- 7:27Speaker 2: by the Niners, beaten badly by the Cowboys and consecutive weeks.
- 7:31Speaker 5: Right, there's no shame in losing to these top five
- 7:34Speaker 5: type teams or top ten teams, right, but it's the
- 7:36Speaker 5: way they lost. And speaking of cold, I mean that
- 7:39Speaker 5: defense has gone through the ringer recently. And ten straight
- 7:43Speaker 5: possessions between the San Francisco game and what we saw
- 7:47Speaker 5: Sunday night were they allowed a touchdown nine of excuse me,
- 7:50Speaker 5: a score and nine of them were touchdowns. Now, the
- 7:52Speaker 5: scoop and score did get them back in the game,
- 7:54Speaker 5: and you felt like with Jalen Hurts and those guys,
- 7:56Speaker 5: you have a chance. But Hurtz, DeVante Smith, AJ Brown,
- 8:00Speaker 5: the big three, all of them put a fumble on
- 8:02Speaker 5: the ground. Dallas recovered all three, you know, and where's
- 8:05Speaker 5: DeAndre Swift on the last two games. It's kind of
- 8:07Speaker 5: a curious one too. I mean, he's been getting that
- 8:09Speaker 5: fifteen to twenty catch has really been a great spark
- 8:12Speaker 5: for them, or fifteen to twenty touches, but the last
- 8:14Speaker 5: two he's only had nineteen totals, So kind of curious
- 8:17Speaker 5: about his usage and what they see going forward.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Eagles, it's not that they lost, you make a great point,
- 8:24Speaker 2: It is how they lost. And there are people panicking
- 8:26Speaker 2: in Philadelphia. I don't think that's an exaggeration because they go, oh, well,
- 8:30Speaker 2: we got ten wins, but yeah, the teams you've lost to,
- 8:32Speaker 2: or the teams are gonna have to beat to get
- 8:34Speaker 2: to Vegas, and those teams have beaten you badly, all right,
- 8:39Speaker 2: speaking of getting beaten. And they didn't get beaten badly,
- 8:43Speaker 2: but it was a bad, bad, bad loss.
- 8:45Speaker 3: The Dolphins you don't have moving.
- 8:48Speaker 2: They're at five, and partly because everyone else in the
- 8:52Speaker 2: top eight or nine lost. But I don't know how
- 8:56Speaker 2: you reconcile this year. Eric Tyreek Hill should have won
- 9:00Speaker 2: the MVP on Monday Night because without him they're nothing.
- 9:04Speaker 2: The offensive lines banged up, you got key pieces on
- 9:06Speaker 2: defense out, Like what do you make of the Dolphins? Now?
- 9:10Speaker 5: Yeah, before I was forced to kind of rewrite my
- 9:13Speaker 5: comment for this week's power rankings late in the game,
- 9:16Speaker 5: you know.
- 9:16Speaker 4: About three minutes left.
- 9:17Speaker 5: I felt a bit pretty good about what I wrote.
- 9:19Speaker 5: I said exactly what you did. I said, Hill's capstone
- 9:23Speaker 5: for his MVP case this year should be the tape
- 9:25Speaker 5: with him on the field and the tape without no
- 9:28Speaker 5: I mean, it's just a stark difference. And you could
- 9:29Speaker 5: see the crowd and the team really energized when he
- 9:33Speaker 5: came back out there, but they couldn't punch it in early.
- 9:36Speaker 5: They only got those two gift touchdowns because the defensive
- 9:39Speaker 5: plays and special teams play. So I'm really worried about
- 9:42Speaker 5: this offense, and then the defense, which had carried them
- 9:45Speaker 5: all night, you know, had their early touchdown, the only
- 9:48Speaker 5: offensive TD until the final five minutes. But look, it
- 9:51Speaker 5: was just those last two drives where they got soft
- 9:54Speaker 5: and they got passive, and Tennessee moved down the field
- 9:57Speaker 5: with will Levis and suddenly, and you made a great
- 10:00Speaker 5: point earlier this morning we were talking offline the number
- 10:03Speaker 5: of injuries that have piled up, not just Hill came back,
- 10:06Speaker 5: Connor Williams the center, He's probably gone for a extended
- 10:10Speaker 5: period and then the defense getting wrecked as well. So
- 10:13Speaker 5: it's just they've been put through the meat ringer. All
- 10:15Speaker 5: of a sudden, we grind her, I should say all
- 10:17Speaker 5: of a sudden.
- 10:18Speaker 3: I've heard it both ways.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Yeah, Jalen Phillips and Jerome Baker, both of them are
- 10:22Speaker 2: out obviously on the defensive side. Phillips isn't coming back.
- 10:25Speaker 2: The offensive line is all banked up. Waddle left the game.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Tyreek Hill obviously left the game, and they did not
- 10:31Speaker 2: look the same. I thought it was interesting afterwards, Tyreek Hill,
- 10:34Speaker 2: I'm sorry. Tua said, well, they're trying to put a
- 10:36Speaker 2: top over our offense defensively, That's what the Titans are doing.
- 10:40Speaker 2: I'm like, well, that's what you face every day. That's
- 10:42Speaker 2: what Vic Fangio in practice.
- 10:44Speaker 3: You know. Kind of got to get used to it.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Here, and the Dolphins of a tough schedule, they get
- 10:48Speaker 2: the Ravens, they get the Bills Week eighteen, fascinating, All right,
- 10:52Speaker 2: the Chiefs, let's just get this out of the way
- 10:55Speaker 2: right now.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Canarius Tonio's offside? Full stop? End of conversation. The fly
- 11:00Speaker 3: came out him mentally.
- 11:01Speaker 2: There were far more egregious questionable calls, like a block
- 11:05Speaker 2: in the back on the Tylan Wallace return. This was
- 11:08Speaker 2: not one of them, guys, So quit your yappt. You
- 11:11Speaker 2: have the Chiefs Eric at six, they're not moving.
- 11:17Speaker 5: Yeah, another example of a team that lost and I
- 11:20Speaker 5: couldn't reward any of them by moving them up. There
- 11:22Speaker 5: wasn't any really quality losses in that range, and you
- 11:25Speaker 5: know the Chiefs are among that group. I just felt like,
- 11:27Speaker 5: even though they were competitive in that game, so many
- 11:30Speaker 5: missed opportunities. Another disappointing script where they fall behind by
- 11:34Speaker 5: two scorers and expect a struggling offense to kind of
- 11:37Speaker 5: bail them out of it. It's just not happening right
- 11:39Speaker 5: now for Mahomes and company. Yes, that was a brilliant
- 11:42Speaker 5: play they pulled off. Yes, had Kadarius Tony had his
- 11:45Speaker 5: foot about three quarters of a yard backward, they probably
- 11:48Speaker 5: let it slide.
- 11:48Speaker 4: But I'm sorry, those are the rules.
- 11:50Speaker 5: And I thought it was a bad look that their
- 11:52Speaker 5: frustration talking about Andy Reid and.
- 11:54Speaker 4: Mahomes boiled over.
- 11:55Speaker 5: So they did come back to their credit and say, look, okay,
- 11:59Speaker 5: I think I understand what the big picture is here,
- 12:01Speaker 5: but you know, deflecting on these kind of issues when
- 12:04Speaker 5: really it's been a chronic problem drop passes. You know,
- 12:08Speaker 5: Matt missconnections on offense for some time now, and they've
- 12:11Speaker 5: got to find a way to fix it. And that
- 12:13Speaker 5: defense isn't carrying as much of the load as it
- 12:15Speaker 5: was at one point in the season.
- 12:16Speaker 2: I think was schreg or maybe it was Kyle Monday
- 12:18Speaker 2: on gm IFF he made the point it seemed like
- 12:20Speaker 2: there's a lot more coming out there from Mahomes. It
- 12:22Speaker 2: wasn't just officiating. It was like, I've been babysitting this
- 12:25Speaker 2: offense for three months now, can you guys get it together?
- 12:28Speaker 2: Like Dad can't do this forever. Okay, you kids have
- 12:31Speaker 2: to figure this out. It's not all Dad's fault. Like
- 12:33Speaker 2: you guys have to take care of yourselves here right anyway,
- 12:37Speaker 2: Moving on, the lines are at seven. They don't move
- 12:39Speaker 2: despite losing to the Bears, and losing handily to the Bears,
- 12:43Speaker 2: and then you had the fight in Joe Flacco's the
- 12:44Speaker 2: Cleveland Browns who are up to eight. They're up from
- 12:47Speaker 2: ten to eight, but they lose Jed Will's and to
- 12:50Speaker 2: Wan Jones.
- 12:51Speaker 5: I mean, yeah, having to work without your two offensive
- 12:55Speaker 5: tackles not easy, but Joe's giving him a lift and
- 12:57Speaker 5: I love how Brown's fans have embraced the one time enemy,
- 13:00Speaker 5: the guy who beat him what eighteen out of twenty
- 13:02Speaker 5: one starts in his career, All of a sudden, he's
- 13:04Speaker 5: kind of the savior, even with a couple of mistakes
- 13:06Speaker 5: per game.
- 13:07Speaker 3: You get it.
- 13:07Speaker 4: He was he was parked on his couch a few
- 13:09Speaker 4: weeks ago. Bud.
- 13:10Speaker 5: He's come in, added a layer of professionalism, added that
- 13:13Speaker 5: downfield passing, touch and just ability that they really didn't
- 13:17Speaker 5: unlock much before. It wasn't a consistent part of their game. So,
- 13:21Speaker 5: you know, getting his receivers involved, getting David and Najoku involved,
- 13:25Speaker 5: it's been a much different looking offense.
- 13:27Speaker 4: And so you know, can they survive without these tackles.
- 13:30Speaker 5: Well, they have so far, and you know they benefit
- 13:34Speaker 5: from other people's losses. They've moved up because of the
- 13:37Speaker 5: defense and what Flako has been able to bring.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, Kevin Stefanski is scheming up wide open
- 13:42Speaker 2: touchdowns opening drive last year games wide open touchdowns. The
- 13:46Speaker 2: David Bell thing was just a coverage bust and a
- 13:47Speaker 2: guy fell down, But the fact that David Bell was
- 13:49Speaker 2: running untouched fifty yards for a touchdown, I mean, write
- 13:53Speaker 2: that into your.
- 13:53Speaker 4: Sport and three too.
- 13:54Speaker 3: Yep.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Wow, all right, we're just getting rolling through the top eight.
- 13:58Speaker 2: How about the team that went into Kansas City.
- 14:00Speaker 3: And beat the Chiefs. We're all the World Bills there
- 14:03Speaker 3: yet to be revealed, but we'll do that next.
- 14:05Speaker 2: The Power Ranking Show, presented by Energy. Let's get back
- 14:14Speaker 2: to the Power Rankings. They are presented by energizer. Eric
- 14:17Speaker 2: at home asks you to scan the QR code on
- 14:20Speaker 2: the left or go to NFL dot com to see
- 14:22Speaker 2: the Jaguars down one to nine, followed by the Bills
- 14:25Speaker 2: at ten, the Broncos at eleven. They're big mover, up five,
- 14:29Speaker 2: the Texans at twelve, down three, the Bengals also up five,
- 14:33Speaker 2: they're at thirteen, and then the Steelers, the Colts.
- 14:37Speaker 3: And the Green Bay Hackers. All right at home.
- 14:42Speaker 2: The Buffalo Bills. We said it last week. Just get
- 14:45Speaker 2: him in. Find a way to get him in that
- 14:47Speaker 2: game in Kansas City. After the article late in the
- 14:50Speaker 2: week about Sean McDermott by tie Don, was a referendum
- 14:53Speaker 2: on that staff and on that locker room and on
- 14:55Speaker 2: that team. They voted across the board, yes, yes, yes, yeah,
- 15:02Speaker 2: I mean it was a.
- 15:03Speaker 5: Rough week, no doubt about it coming. The Bills are
- 15:05Speaker 5: already up against it in the football department. Then that
- 15:07Speaker 5: story drops about something that happened four years ago, and
- 15:10Speaker 5: then I'm not you know again, I'm not saying it
- 15:12Speaker 5: was good nor bad. I'm just saying that occurred. And
- 15:14Speaker 5: then there was the von Miller stuff still lingering, and
- 15:17Speaker 5: you know, they went in and got off to an
- 15:19Speaker 5: early lead and held on for dear life. But we've
- 15:23Speaker 5: seen those MVP flashes from Josh Allen, We've seen the
- 15:26Speaker 5: defense at least make some plays, and yeah, I mean,
- 15:29Speaker 5: there's still plenty of work left Andrew, but you've seen
- 15:32Speaker 5: life in this team, and you know, in an upper
- 15:35Speaker 5: middle class right now, that feels like it's bereft of
- 15:37Speaker 5: that that challenger, that that team that can rise up
- 15:40Speaker 5: and go up against the forty nine ers in the
- 15:42Speaker 5: ravens of the world.
- 15:43Speaker 4: The Bills are that team in my opinion.
- 15:45Speaker 5: They're not perfect, they have lots of works, but they
- 15:47Speaker 5: have the firepower on their best days to go toe
- 15:51Speaker 5: to toe with teams like Philly and Kansas City. So
- 15:54Speaker 5: they maybe eleventh in the AFC power rankings, but they're
- 15:57Speaker 5: tenth in my overall power rankings, and that's reflective of
- 16:00Speaker 5: what I think they can do down the stretch, but
- 16:03Speaker 5: they still got to get in right now or not.
- 16:05Speaker 2: They are one of six teams in the AFC six
- 16:09Speaker 2: at seven and six, and they have the best quarterback
- 16:12Speaker 2: situation of any of them.
- 16:13Speaker 3: So just get them made.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Another one of those teams the Denver Broncos, who keep
- 16:18Speaker 2: on winning and keep on moving up. Let's do future
- 16:21Speaker 2: champions here, presented by fan duel odds to win the
- 16:25Speaker 2: AFC West. The Chiefs are still the prohibitive favorite. Well,
- 16:28Speaker 2: the Broncos are now right on their heels. They're only
- 16:30Speaker 2: one back of the win column. They are plus nine
- 16:32Speaker 2: hundred and they have a huge game as mentioned on
- 16:35Speaker 2: NFL Network Saturday evening in Detroit, Eric, if they win
- 16:41Speaker 2: that one, I mean look out.
- 16:43Speaker 3: Vance Joseph assistant coach of the year.
- 16:46Speaker 5: After people in Denver were calling for him to be
- 16:49Speaker 5: fired this season, simply put, the most incredible in season
- 16:53Speaker 5: turnaround of any unit. We saw the evidence, and not
- 16:56Speaker 5: just the Miami game, right, it was other games prior
- 16:58Speaker 5: to that and even after where you thought, I don't
- 17:00Speaker 5: think this defense has a chance to be middle of
- 17:03Speaker 5: the pack, right, But they've now now entered into arguably
- 17:06Speaker 5: a top ten or twelve group. They're playing like a
- 17:08Speaker 5: top five group, at least they did on Sunday, Justin
- 17:11Speaker 5: Herbert knocked out of the game, probably their best all
- 17:14Speaker 5: around defensive performance, really clamped down. They took a part
- 17:18Speaker 5: a Chargers offensive line that was, at least entering the season,
- 17:21Speaker 5: one of their strengths. So yeah, this is a complete
- 17:24Speaker 5: performance defensively. Offensively, you know, the early turnover kind of
- 17:27Speaker 5: set him back, and there's still a lack of firepower.
- 17:30Speaker 4: But when you've got.
- 17:31Speaker 5: Russell Wilson throwing to Courtland Sudden, it ends up at
- 17:34Speaker 5: some point inevitably in a touchdown.
- 17:36Speaker 4: They've been great this year. Ten hookups in.
- 17:38Speaker 5: The end zone, so you know, they've got a formula
- 17:40Speaker 5: that seems to be working, even with moving parts and
- 17:43Speaker 5: different things they have to navigate. And like you said,
- 17:45Speaker 5: one game back of the Chiefs, what kind of odds
- 17:47Speaker 5: would you have gotten at zero to four.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Unbelievable, Yeah, utterly ridiculous. Here you mentioned Courtland Sutton. He
- 17:52Speaker 2: has those ten touchdowns they've been in ten different games.
- 17:55Speaker 2: He has one touchdown touchdowns in ten different games, so
- 17:59Speaker 2: he has meant that much week in week out, It's
- 18:01Speaker 2: not like a guy who scored four times in one
- 18:03Speaker 2: game but then has kind of been thrown them out.
- 18:04Speaker 2: There no ten touchdowns in ten games. Another one of
- 18:07Speaker 2: those seven and sixteen. I'm not ready to count the
- 18:10Speaker 2: Texans out yet. They are still twelve, but they dropped
- 18:13Speaker 2: three spots they're dealing with now.
- 18:15Speaker 3: CJ.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Stroud a concussion protocol, No Dalton Schultz, no Tank Dell.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Last week, man, they they ran into a buzzsaw and
- 18:23Speaker 2: Zach Wilson in the rain in New York.
- 18:26Speaker 5: Yeah, it looked like Nico Collins, Okay, he's gonna step
- 18:29Speaker 5: up and be the number one. He goes over a
- 18:31Speaker 5: thousand yards in the game and then gets hurt too,
- 18:33Speaker 5: So you're losing Dell and Collins and Schultz. You know,
- 18:37Speaker 5: there was only so many options that that Stroud had
- 18:40Speaker 5: to throw to, but it was also his worst game.
- 18:42Speaker 5: He missed some throws too, so prior to the concussion,
- 18:46Speaker 5: you can say, look, the Jets got in his head
- 18:47Speaker 5: a little bit, made it tough on him, and all
- 18:50Speaker 5: of a sudden, this feel good story. You know, it's
- 18:52Speaker 5: almost like they're getting ready to be graduated into offseason
- 18:55Speaker 5: darling story. Because right now after this loss, it feels
- 18:58Speaker 5: like they're up against it. They had no answers defensively
- 19:01Speaker 5: for Zach Wilson, you know who we didn't even think
- 19:03Speaker 5: might start this week given the hesitancy there. So, you know,
- 19:07Speaker 5: other than the fumble, I mean, it was a tough
- 19:09Speaker 5: night on that side of the ball.
- 19:10Speaker 4: And they have a lot of soul searching and a
- 19:13Speaker 4: lot of healing to do in the next few days.
- 19:15Speaker 3: Look, they're not out of it.
- 19:16Speaker 2: They go to Tennessee, right, the Titans, Yes, the Titans
- 19:19Speaker 2: one Monday night, right, but it's a shortat They got
- 19:21Speaker 2: to come back home. They're not exactly the world beaters.
- 19:24Speaker 2: They're feeling good about themselves. But Houston can still very
- 19:27Speaker 2: much get in this. They are only the eighth seed.
- 19:29Speaker 2: They're only you know, one spot out right now of
- 19:32Speaker 2: making the postseason. Let's make some Hower moves. They are
- 19:37Speaker 2: presented by Energizer. Yep, they did it again. Jake Browning
- 19:43Speaker 2: and the Bengals did it again. This time they beat
- 19:47Speaker 2: the Colts and they are up five spots this week
- 19:50Speaker 2: to thirteen. They're up seven spots in two weeks.
- 19:54Speaker 5: Yeah, the pride of fulsome right, I mean, he's come
- 19:56Speaker 5: in and with almost no expectations. Remember all the consternation
- 20:01Speaker 5: about who Burrows backup would be in August.
- 20:03Speaker 4: Well, Jake Browning's in right now.
- 20:04Speaker 5: He's the starter, and he's playing like the five star
- 20:07Speaker 5: recruit he wasn't in high school, you know, the player
- 20:10Speaker 5: that a lot of people felt was destined for NFL
- 20:12Speaker 5: start him at that age. Well, it's finally come at
- 20:14Speaker 5: age twenty seven for him. So you can't be happier
- 20:17Speaker 5: for him. I mean, they're running his offense. Maybe not
- 20:20Speaker 5: as much as the Joe Burrow offense, that is not
- 20:23Speaker 5: as much of the shotgun stuff and everything Burrow does, but.
- 20:26Speaker 4: It's pretty close.
- 20:27Speaker 5: And he's done a good job. He found nine different receivers.
- 20:30Speaker 5: They got the screen game going. That was a huge
- 20:32Speaker 5: part of the win. And you know, this isn't somebody
- 20:34Speaker 5: who's just forcing the ball to t Higgins and Jamar
- 20:37Speaker 5: Chase and keeping his fingers crossed.
- 20:39Speaker 4: Now he looks confident delivering the ball.
- 20:42Speaker 5: And they pretty much demolished the Colts outside of that
- 20:45Speaker 5: one turnover late in the second quarter. You know, from
- 20:48Speaker 5: start to finish, they pretty much controlled that game.
- 20:50Speaker 2: Chase Brown's getting into it now, how about him? How
- 20:52Speaker 2: about that rookie there he has been electric, had the
- 20:56Speaker 2: long touchdown where he was the second fastest ball carrier
- 20:59Speaker 2: this year behind DK Metcalf. I mean, that is ridiculous.
- 21:01Speaker 2: And they had the edge this week certainly as they
- 21:04Speaker 2: are at home yet again, and the Vikings were late
- 21:06Speaker 2: in Vegas and then.
- 21:07Speaker 3: They got to fly on Friday.
- 21:09Speaker 2: So that is coming up Saturday on ANFL network.
- 21:13Speaker 3: Coming up next.
- 21:14Speaker 2: However, on the Power ranking show here presented by Energizer,
- 21:18Speaker 2: we haven't revealed yet the NFC South champion.
- 21:21Speaker 3: We're a leader. We have to and plus the Rams
- 21:23Speaker 3: where they were.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Week fifteen NFL Power Rankings presented by Energizer. The Vikings
- 21:38Speaker 2: don't move. They're at seventeen. The Buccaneers are up five
- 21:41Speaker 2: to eighteen after beating the Falcons, followed by the Seahawks,
- 21:44Speaker 2: the Rams, Atlanta's at twenty one, New Orleans twenty two,
- 21:48Speaker 2: the Bears, and then the Titans at twenty three and
- 21:51Speaker 2: at twenty four.
- 21:52Speaker 3: The Buccaneers now go to lambeau Field. Eric, we are.
- 21:55Speaker 2: Contractually obligated to talk about the NFC South. Their highest
- 21:59Speaker 2: team is eighteen.
- 22:00Speaker 4: And eighteen was a stretch. I mean I moved them
- 22:03Speaker 4: up five spots.
- 22:04Speaker 5: That's a lot for a pretty narrow victory against another
- 22:07Speaker 5: mediocre team in Atlanta.
- 22:09Speaker 4: But like you said, someone's gonna win that division.
- 22:11Speaker 5: You know, the Falcons kind of shot themselves in the foot,
- 22:13Speaker 5: but give credit to the Bucks. Baker Mayfield was gretty
- 22:16Speaker 5: beautiful touchdown pass to Odden to win it.
- 22:19Speaker 4: I mean, they battled in this game.
- 22:20Speaker 5: They got the two score lead and kind of played
- 22:23Speaker 5: from ahead and then had to come back. You know,
- 22:25Speaker 5: it's never pretty with them, but and they got away
- 22:27Speaker 5: with a possible fumble there late with Rashad White. But
- 22:29Speaker 5: White was better in the second half. You know, it's
- 22:32Speaker 5: it's just one of those things. It's hard to find
- 22:35Speaker 5: a ton of positives. But the defense did make a
- 22:37Speaker 5: couple of plays that kind of set the tone early.
- 22:40Speaker 5: They give up yards, but they find a way to
- 22:42Speaker 5: make just enough place to kind of keep them in games.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Hey, the positive is the winner of that division is
- 22:48Speaker 2: gonna host the playoff game, maybe even against the Countlers.
- 22:52Speaker 2: All Right, the Rams lost in Baltimore. They lost in
- 22:54Speaker 2: over time in the rain, but they don't move. You
- 22:57Speaker 2: have them at number twenty. They are still very much
- 22:59Speaker 2: in the playoff race here. Even though they are six
- 23:01Speaker 2: and seven.
- 23:02Speaker 5: Thought about moving them up too, just like I thought,
- 23:04Speaker 5: I'm up moving the Vikings down after their win. I mean,
- 23:07Speaker 5: it's all subjective, I guess, but yeah, out of an
- 23:10Speaker 5: old school game from Stafford, he was out there slinging
- 23:12Speaker 5: a Cooper Cupp had his first big game in a while,
- 23:15Speaker 5: the coup of that amazing sliding grab. I mean, there
- 23:17Speaker 5: were so many elements for a victory here. Kyen Williams
- 23:19Speaker 5: great again, but defense giving up those those kind of
- 23:23Speaker 5: unfettered big plays down the field, those coverage busts just
- 23:27Speaker 5: can't happen, right, And so yeah, the coup a great
- 23:30Speaker 5: defense not so good. Yeah, I'd like to see him
- 23:33Speaker 5: tighten the screws a little bit on that side of
- 23:35Speaker 5: the ball. But boy, Sean McVay has shown everybody he
- 23:37Speaker 5: knows how to coach and scheme against good defenses, and
- 23:40Speaker 5: he did it Sunday, and.
- 23:41Speaker 4: They were just a little bit short.
- 23:42Speaker 3: Absolutely, we're a little bit short on time.
- 23:44Speaker 2: Let's get the last full screen here and go twenty
- 23:48Speaker 2: five down full screen TV term. The Jets are up two,
- 23:52Speaker 2: they're twenty five. Then the Chargers Herbert's half of the year,
- 23:55Speaker 2: The Giants, Danny DeVito, Tommy DeVito, They're both magic. Then
- 23:59Speaker 2: the Raiders, the Cardinals, the Patriots, the Commanders, and the
- 24:02Speaker 2: Carolina Panthers. Eric, you have fifteen seconds. Pick a team,
- 24:06Speaker 2: say something nice.
- 24:07Speaker 5: I'm gonna say something nice about my hometown team, the
- 24:09Speaker 5: Chicago Bears. Three out of four wins, look great, finished
- 24:12Speaker 5: off freight what they couldn't do before. Had tip to them, Eberflus,
- 24:16Speaker 5: Poles Fields. All three did themselves very well this week.
- 24:20Speaker 2: They are number twenty three and they face the Browns
- 24:22Speaker 2: this week in Cleveland. So, Eric, at home, my name
- 24:25Speaker 2: is Andrews Silano.
- 24:26Speaker 6: This is always We're gonna figure it out as we go,
- 24:30Speaker 6: but you know what, I think we had fun along everybody.
