- 0:00Welcome to Rick and that Michelle chick.
- 0:02I'm that Michelle chick. And I'm Rick, welcome, welcome,
- 0:05welcome aboard. So I have something to share
- 0:09with you, my oldest son. He sent me a text and it said
- 0:13this. I'll read it to you.
- 0:15It said me mentioning my mom has a podcast.
- 0:20Yeah. And your mom is a MILF.
- 0:23He said from my friends, that was this text from my friends.
- 0:28Your mom is a MILF. Yeah.
- 0:29And your mom is a MILF. And I say, oh, I love your
- 0:32friends, which his friends are super nice.
- 0:34So I met them a couple months ago.
- 0:36And then I responded, just because I'm a MILF, it doesn't
- 0:39mean the podcast is good. And he just sent the laughing
- 0:43emoji. I mean, he didn't disagree, so
- 0:46I'm assuming he thinks it's not good.
- 0:48But I thought that was cute always friends came and MILF.
- 0:51So it made made my day made my week, which I got a new
- 0:57computer. So I was super excited about
- 0:59that because you know, you and I doing this podcast, we've been
- 1:03having some technical difficulties. 1 is my computer.
- 1:07Sometimes it's the Wi-Fi. So I've been holding out on
- 1:10trying to buy a new computer because the new Mac's like a
- 1:13couple grand holding out, holding out, holding out.
- 1:17And then last week I, you know how like my audio, I couldn't
- 1:21get it to sync up with my lips moving.
- 1:24And I contacted who we use to record this and they tried
- 1:28everything and they said it's the lag time because of your
- 1:31computer. So my husband was like, OK,
- 1:34well, let's, let's, let's just do it.
- 1:36We'll get you a new computer. You need it.
- 1:39So we got this new computer. It arrived on Friday.
- 1:42It's gorgeous. And then Friday, no, Thursday,
- 1:47as I'm driving around town, my car makes this weird noise in
- 1:51the back. Yeah, weird noise.
- 1:53I have no idea what it was. You know, I'm still driving.
- 1:56And then I noticed there's no cool air blowing out of out of
- 2:00my air anymore. And it's probably like 96°.
- 2:04And I'm driving around a little bit more, running my errands.
- 2:07And I tell my husband and he calls the auto repair shop.
- 2:11And luckily he's like, yeah, they can get your car right in
- 2:15if you take it right down to them now.
- 2:17And I'm like, OK, as I'm driving there, my little, because
- 2:21everything's computerized now on cars, the little computer says
- 2:25system shutting down to. Oh no.
- 2:28What? What system?
- 2:30What's? Shutting down way to.
- 2:33The auto shop and it like shuts down and as I turn in to pull in
- 2:39to the job, it's like I lose power steering.
- 2:42It's super hard to turn. I forgot what it was like to
- 2:45drive a car without power steering.
- 2:46You know, when we were younger, we know what that's like.
- 2:49But just as I pulled in, I mean, it was luck that it happened.
- 2:55Luckily it wasn't anything super expensive because we're thinking
- 2:58it's the air conditioning, but it was one of the belts that
- 3:02powers like the air conditioning, the alternator.
- 3:05Yeah, that stuff. So a few $100.
- 3:10And then today we find out the Jackson's car, because he's been
- 3:14having problems with his car, is going to cost thousands of
- 3:18dollars. To fix got away with the couple
- 3:20100 bucks on yours and then the the real bill drops.
- 3:24Yes, you know how it is. You wait to buy a big expense
- 3:27item and then of course everything goes to shit like it.
- 3:32It never fails. It's just the law of average.
- 3:34So I I guess I'll keep the computer.
- 3:39I don't know. We'll see.
- 3:40Well, you already have it. What do you mean you'll keep?
- 3:42I mean, I guess you'll keep the computer you already.
- 3:44Have it and send it back. Right, exactly.
- 3:48So, you know, a similar thing happened to me over the weekend
- 3:51and if you ever, if you really want to know my weakness, it's
- 3:54bills. I mean you and my husband both.
- 3:58You know, yeah, if I was Superman, it's not kryptonite if
- 4:02it'll kill me. It's bills, bills, bills.
- 4:05And so I had, Megan had gotten me a big screen and it wasn't
- 4:10that big, but it was like a 50 inch screen TV years ago for,
- 4:13for Christmas. And I, and I ran that thing into
- 4:16the ground. I, you know, probably five
- 4:17years. And it died last, I think last
- 4:20fall or Nah, maybe in the spring it died.
- 4:23And so I said, and I had a little, a little, a little TV
- 4:26and I said, this TV is going to be perfectly fine by, you know,
- 4:29whatever. Well, then I realized I couldn't
- 4:31get over to the antenna to watch football because football's
- 4:34starting up. So I thought, well, you know
- 4:37what, I'll break down. I'll go buy myself the TV.
- 4:39So I went to Walmart on Sunday, bought this TV.
- 4:42It's 200 bucks. It wasn't like, I mean, it's a
- 4:4458 inches and and now I can watch football.
- 4:47So I took the little TV back into our guest room at the end
- 4:51of the house. And as I'm setting it up on the
- 4:54sitting up on the bookcase, I noticed that the carpet's wet.
- 4:57And so I'm like, oh, geez. And so, so yes, that whole wall
- 5:01in the guest room, it had been leaking.
- 5:04And so it's mildew. It says mildew and it looks
- 5:07nasty. And Megan's in the backroom
- 5:09right now. She's tearing it all up and that
- 5:11means it's leaking. Apparently the sprinkler, the
- 5:15sprinkler would get stuck and just spray the house and not go
- 5:18back. And so if it would, if the
- 5:20sprinkler was on for a couple hours, it's all going into that,
- 5:24into the foundation of the house.
- 5:25And so Yep. So, so I don't even want, I mean
- 5:29that that stuff like if if, if I that will depress me because I
- 5:34just like just make it stop. Right, Bill.
- 5:39Yeah, bill after bill after bill.
- 5:41Like even when you get, even when you get ahead, you know
- 5:43what I'm saying? You know, and it's like, and
- 5:45then every, every punch to the gut.
- 5:47And it's one of those things where it's not getting cheaper
- 5:50to get anything done, period. Oh no.
- 5:53So. So, so I don't even know what
- 5:54this is going to cost. I just, I start freaking out,
- 5:59you know, once I don't even know what, I don't even know what
- 6:00it's going to be. I'm just like, Oh my God, the
- 6:02world's ending to me. It's like if, if they're if a
- 6:05bill, if a bill drops on my table and it's going to be a big
- 6:08one, I freak out. Right, which I think probably
- 6:12stems from our childhood. I mean, it sends us into a
- 6:15tailspin, right? No matter, I think no matter how
- 6:18much money we had or how financially secure we were, like
- 6:22something, anything like this would send us into a panic
- 6:26because as children, if being financially stable wasn't a
- 6:30thing and we just had to use what resources we had to get by
- 6:34and have food, for me, it was just to make sure my brother and
- 6:37I had food. So.
- 6:38Right. Well, yeah.
- 6:39And, and the crazy thing, I mean, I look at look back at my
- 6:43childhood and I'm trying to think, you know, outside of my,
- 6:45outside of my foster parents, I'm like, I don't recall anybody
- 6:48like spending money on a flooded house.
- 6:53Yeah. If they, if the side of the
- 6:55house was rotting, guess what? The side of the house was
- 6:57rotting. You don't say any.
- 6:58They just, they just chopped it off and put.
- 7:01It out. So it was sort of some.
- 7:02Plastic, Yeah, yeah. No one would.
- 7:04Yeah, it's kind of like it was funny.
- 7:06I was driving home one day a couple days ago.
- 7:08I would I took the dogs to the park and some guy was driving
- 7:11through the park and he has his shit was all beat up.
- 7:14Like his windows were all broken out.
- 7:16I mean, he had plastic everywhere.
- 7:17And I thought to myself, and he was still driving this beat up
- 7:20van and I'm like, and I'm like, yeah, that that took me right
- 7:23back to childhood that that I think that's the scariest thing
- 7:27for us. So it's and it's, it's, I guess
- 7:30it's not a well, it is about the cost of it, but it literally, I
- 7:34don't know about you, but paying out thousands and thousands and
- 7:37thousands of dollars, it just scares me almost like, almost
- 7:41like the Tiger King. I'm never going to financially
- 7:43recover from this. I just won't.
- 7:46I see those, I see those things and and I have tried so hard
- 7:53outside of the mortgage to stay out of debt.
- 7:55So no credit cards, no truck payment, none of that stuff.
- 7:59And then then I go out and buy a 200 TV.
- 8:01Yeah, I put that on a credit card because I think, oh, I'll
- 8:03pay it off in a month, right. And then now I'm going to be
- 8:05ripping. But.
- 8:06Then I'll be ripping up the wall.
- 8:07So it's like, it's like, no, it's like I'm with you on the
- 8:11computer. You can't go out and just buy
- 8:14yourself something nice because shit's going to going to break.
- 8:17Something's going to happen. It's the law of averages.
- 8:20Yep, Yep. Well, hopefully this damage
- 8:22isn't severe. Go down to Lowe's or Home Depot
- 8:27and rent those big industrial fans.
- 8:29I know this. OK, we already got 1 going.
- 8:31We already got. Yeah, we're already dry.
- 8:32We're already drying out our. Our water softener exploded and
- 8:37water went everywhere in our living room.
- 8:38And so I know, like, we pulled up the carpet, we got those big
- 8:41industrial fans and it dried everything out.
- 8:44Thank you, God. But yeah, I, I know.
- 8:47From that experience, the nice thing is we, I think we have a
- 8:51good contractor in custom. They do a good job.
- 8:53We've had them before at the house.
- 8:55And so I for me, it's just like, I just don't want to see the
- 8:58bill. No, and you can't turn it into
- 9:01your homeowner's insurance because.
- 9:03You'll get. Deemed, No.
- 9:04Well, yeah. And you'll get, you'll get
- 9:07deemed. And they never come off your
- 9:08record like your automobile insurance and your rates go up.
- 9:11I learned this from our own. So why why this one will not
- 9:15qualify is because it was not an it was not accidental.
- 9:18So like it like we did have the dishwasher one time break and
- 9:22that was a. Flood You purposely had the
- 9:24sprinkler on, and it was. Well, you know, I mean the, the
- 9:27sprinkler, I mean the sprinklers on no matter what, but it, it
- 9:29kept getting stuck. So if you're not out there, you
- 9:31know, if you're not paying attention, you know, just
- 9:34through time, just through time. So I, so I, I would start the
- 9:38sprinklers and then I'd be checking it periodically and
- 9:40like, oh geez, here it is stuck. And I twist it, you know, back
- 9:43to the other way. And then it would, and then it
- 9:45would go, it would keep going for a while and then I'd, and
- 9:49then I'd go back inside and guess what?
- 9:51Right back to the same spot. So and I and I tried to adjust
- 9:54it a billion times. It just would not, it just
- 9:57wouldn't, it just would not cooperate.
- 9:59So, I mean, I tried so many different things and so and it
- 10:04just kept yeah, so and I again, I that, I mean, I guess you
- 10:08could say I should just let the grass go brown, I guess.
- 10:13I don't think the neighbors are probably like that, but.
- 10:15Well, yeah, so, so yeah, it's just, it's just frustrating.
- 10:21We have an old, I don't know about you.
- 10:22We have an old house. So I I call it the Brady Bunch
- 10:26house. How old is your house?
- 10:29As old as Jackson because we built it when I was pregnant
- 10:33with him, so 21 years old so. Yeah, we got a 1970 Brady Bunch
- 10:37house. I like to call it the Brady
- 10:39Bunch House. So this is still nice.
- 10:42Oh, no, no, no, no. When I no, no.
- 10:45When I no, when I go to other people's houses, I realize I I
- 10:48am a slumlord. When I got.
- 10:50I do. I know when I go to other
- 10:52people's houses, I had to go visit my buddy boy.
- 10:54My buddy Randy in Boise got a brand new $600,000 gorgeous
- 10:58house and I and I go visit. It's wonderful, but I'm sitting
- 11:02there the whole time going man, you are fucking poor Michael.
- 11:05I was going to say, but how in debt is Randy and Oh?
- 11:09No, he'd be able to retire from California, so.
- 11:12Oh, he's got lots of money. Yeah, Yeah.
- 11:15He was like, oh, our cars are paid off that he had brand new
- 11:18furniture. He's one of those California
- 11:20people. Exactly.
- 11:22Well, he lived in California for 20 years and sold.
- 11:24I mean, give him credit, he sold a couple houses and stuff like
- 11:26that. But that, yeah, so he's one of
- 11:29those Californians that took the money and ran.
- 11:32And so now he's in a, you know, $600,000 home, which would have
- 11:35cost him a couple at least 1.5 mil where he was.
- 11:38At Oh easy, yeah. So he sold his house and put a
- 11:42massive down payment down. I'm sure he's he says he has a,
- 11:44he has a more as a mortgage, a small mortgage, but it's
- 11:46probably nowhere near the level and everything else is Brandon.
- 11:49Right, it's probably less than yours and I probably is.
- 11:52Probably, probably is. I mean it just, it just, it just
- 11:55is. And so, so yeah, you always feel
- 11:57like you take 2 steps forward and no, or one step forward and
- 12:00two steps back is, is what it feels like when it comes to, to
- 12:03financial stuff. And everything's escalated, you
- 12:05know, like even from the car repairs, it used to be you could
- 12:08go get a car repair a couple 100 bucks.
- 12:10Now it's a couple thousand. It just is.
- 12:11It just is, you know, And so it, it, I don't know, I don't know
- 12:15how, I don't know how other people navigate it unless
- 12:18they're just up to their eyeballs in debt and.
- 12:21I think that's the majority. Yeah, but I lose.
- 12:23But I lose sleep. I can't.
- 12:25Knowing, knowing I'm that, knowing that I'm that close to
- 12:28bankruptcy. I can't.
- 12:30I can't live like that. That's that terrifies me.
- 12:34I think, yeah, it probably terrifies other people, but I
- 12:37think they don't have a choice. Like to them, they feel like I
- 12:41have to live this close to the edge because I I don't have a
- 12:43choice. Like this is my reality.
- 12:45And they just. And then I think that's why
- 12:47people start like drinking or. You know I can't.
- 12:51Yeah, I wish. You're right to get away from
- 12:53all the day's worries or go to the casino and hopefully I'll
- 12:56win and so. Here, here's, here's here.
- 13:00Here it is, guys. So sadly, I don't drink, I don't
- 13:02smoke, I don't party. Never have, so I guess porn
- 13:06addiction's about all I got left so at.
- 13:08Least you're still doing that. But I'm just saying it's like I
- 13:11have nothing. I have never in my entire life
- 13:14ever had anything to numb the pain.
- 13:17Like, like I'm, you know me, you've known me for 30 years.
- 13:22And if I get punched in the gut, guess what?
- 13:24There's nothing that takes away whatever whatever happened
- 13:27because I have to take it full strength.
- 13:30Right. Yeah.
- 13:32Whatever breakups, you name it, it's like, yeah, I don't get to
- 13:34go drink my sorrows away. I don't get to chain smoke.
- 13:38You know, my my sister has three.
- 13:41My sister. Is legal so.
- 13:42Yeah, my sister Robin has three packs of cigarettes stacked on
- 13:45top of each other. I'm like, holy holy shit.
- 13:48She's sitting there. She's going, hey, Virgil, how
- 13:51you doing? I'm like, sister, what the?
- 13:54What the hell? 3 stacks?
- 13:55What? That's crazy.
- 13:58I don't have that advantage. That's why I always joke about
- 14:01getting a milkshake. Yeah, yeah, that that was always
- 14:04your thing. Like, hey, yeah, we can go get a
- 14:06milkshake. Because I'd be like, hey, let's
- 14:08go get a drink. And he'd be like, I don't drink,
- 14:10so we ought to go get a milkshake.
- 14:11Damn. OK, life.
- 14:13'S in the shitter. Let's go get a milkshake,
- 14:14basically. Yeah, but sometimes.
- 14:16But sometimes even a milkshake can't right you.
- 14:19Need harder stuff? Can't.
- 14:21Fix the wall? No.
- 14:23Well, hopefully it's not that severe.
- 14:26You'll have to update us next week.
- 14:28Hopefully you'll. Oh, I will.
- 14:30It might. I might not even show up.
- 14:31It'd be like, you know? Wiley.
- 14:35Coyote sign. Well since we're on the subject
- 14:39of finances, this is a good segue.
- 14:42I was reading about a mom, well she was a teacher and she is
- 14:47charging $20,000 to decorate dorm rooms for kids.
- 14:55And me as a mom, like I've sent 3 kids to college and I think
- 15:00Matthew, we maybe bought him like a bedspread and a mini
- 15:03fridge and then the rest of the stuff he, he just took from
- 15:06home, like his computer and all that kind of stuff.
- 15:09Jackson kind of the same thing. Even with Shaylee, which she's a
- 15:12girl and but she is like super frugal too.
- 15:16And we bought her the bedspread and, and we still had Matthew's
- 15:20mini fridge and just some of like the organization stuff.
- 15:23So I can I cannot imagine spending 20,000 dollars to
- 15:29decorate my kids dorm room. I mean props to this she was a
- 15:33teacher and this is what she's doing.
- 15:35Which I get it teachers make shit so props to her.
- 15:38But I can't imagine just being the parent that is spending that
- 15:42much money just for a dorm room. You figure they're living in
- 15:45this and not even a year, not even a.
- 15:48Year that's the no, I don't want to I don't want to point
- 15:51fingers, Michelle, but I'm going to point towards the
- 15:54Kardashians. I'm going to pour it pour it
- 15:56towards social media. I don't want to be that person
- 15:59to say, but it's like what why? Why is there such a need to be
- 16:05competitive with the person next to you or, you know, like, well,
- 16:10like I said, oh, I like I said, I went to my buddies Randy, I
- 16:12went to Randy's house, gorgeous house.
- 16:14And I'm sitting there enjoying the weekend with him and the
- 16:16whole time I'm like, I'm, I'm dirt poor.
- 16:19Right. Which, you know, people start
- 16:22seeing that on the Internet and they're like, oh, I want that.
- 16:25I want, I want that. I want that, I want that.
- 16:28And then as a parent, you're like, OK, OK.
- 16:30Oh, but you have to be reasonable.
- 16:32Like all these parents that are like, OK, yeah, I'm going to
- 16:35drop 20 grand. Like, are you?
- 16:37Are you? Are you so so?
- 16:39It was funny growing up with my adopted parents especially, I
- 16:43was ashamed to have my friends come over.
- 16:46Oh yeah, like we talked. About this in a past.
- 16:49Because of the squalor, we. Lived in.
- 16:51I went to my. Friend's house all the time.
- 16:54I never had them come to our house.
- 16:56It was, it would be cousins, which they would know, like how
- 16:58we lived. That wasn't a big deal.
- 17:00But yeah, none of my friends ever.
- 17:02Ever, right? But, but even it's kind of
- 17:05funny, even today as an adult, I mean, I'm 55 years old and I
- 17:09live in this Brady Bunch house and when people come visit, I go
- 17:12to their house and they come to my house and there's a huge
- 17:14night and day difference. And I'm like, obviously.
- 17:18No. Obviously, I have you been to my
- 17:20house? Yes.
- 17:21Multiple times but but I I'm like I.
- 17:24Turned I I took the wrong turn of the Albuquerque for a career
- 17:26because because everybody else's look like they're living way
- 17:30better than some radio DJ. It was so funny years ago.
- 17:34I got a funny story to tell you. So funny was many years ago
- 17:38Cheryl lived in this area of tri-cities called Westcliff,
- 17:41which was the rich area. So sort of Tri-cities is there,
- 17:45whoever else, you know, Cadillac guy, hospital guy.
- 17:48So Cheryl, of course, she did have.
- 17:50Now I'll give Cheryl credit, she had the smallest house on the
- 17:52block, right? But it still overlooked the
- 17:55entire tri-cities area, right? Beautiful view.
- 17:58So we're there for some party or something like that.
- 18:00And some guys asked, oh, well, Rick, where do you live?
- 18:02And I pointed like way over to like the bypass highway and say
- 18:07I live in the DJ slums over there, you know, not not up
- 18:12here. I so the the running joke with
- 18:15Cheryl was I called, I called it Snob Hill, right?
- 18:19Yeah, we. Have that in Yakima too, right?
- 18:21So. Yeah, where the D atleys live or
- 18:23whatever. I'm like so, so it was so funny
- 18:26when Cheryl would have to come off the hill.
- 18:27Westcliff, of course, in the when it's snowing and icy, you
- 18:31know, I'm like, yeah, you're just going to slide off Snob
- 18:33Hill. And so yeah, I mean, I don't,
- 18:37you know, it's kind of funny. So going back to the dorm room,
- 18:40it is a why why, but we make it that way today, right?
- 18:45Which? Again, another remember the
- 18:47other viral thing that was going This also ties into college.
- 18:51Remember for like the college acceptance they were decorating
- 18:55like their bedrooms and yeah and those those those parents were
- 19:00paying like 5 grand just for like a college acceptance viral
- 19:05video moment. I mean, this is just a moment in
- 19:08time in your kids life so well, we've made the.
- 19:12Proposal. But we've made the proposal
- 19:15like, like back back when I was a kid, I was afraid to ask Susan
- 19:18out to the prom. I was terrified.
- 19:20I didn't, I didn't have, I didn't have this great montage
- 19:22of candy bars or a limo or a horse rolling up to ask her out
- 19:26to the prom. I just like, really, do you want
- 19:27to go to the prom? You know?
- 19:29So today, today it's a whole, didn't Benjamin do the one where
- 19:33it's the balloons? Who did the balloons?
- 19:36Was it Benjamin? He might.
- 19:38Have somebody did I? Swear he did balloons.
- 19:42Like a room full of balloons. Do you know anybody who did a
- 19:44room full of yes I? Think, I think that was, yeah,
- 19:47that might have been Benjamin. You're right.
- 19:49He like, yeah, he did Halley's. You are right.
- 19:51That was yeah, he did Halley's room very good, very good.
- 19:54Like still. Remember Me visiting?
- 19:56Your house, but you remember that, okay?
- 19:59I only remember stupid stuff. But it is.
- 20:03It's the balloons like but like. A bag, a couple bags of balloons
- 20:07and we blew those up ourselves. Is it like we had helium?
- 20:11So I get it. So, yeah, so.
- 20:12But you're right. It's like, but what?
- 20:14Why is everything? I guess the question is why is
- 20:16everything escalated to that level?
- 20:18Because you know why? Because I'm on social media and
- 20:21my followers have to see me and that's it.
- 20:24I think social media is plain and simple.
- 20:26Well, but. But then again, a lot of people
- 20:29make their living off social media, so you need that.
- 20:34So but then you see the rest of like the normal kids are seeing
- 20:39this, whose parents can't afford this.
- 20:41And so it's just an elevated way of you wishing you had your
- 20:47friend's $600,000 house. I mean, it's just, it's the same
- 20:51thing or coveting that or whatever it is.
- 20:53It's just a. Heightened now with social.
- 20:55Media, yeah, but. Jay and I are going to be very
- 20:58similar as like that. Yeah, that that's cool.
- 20:59But I ain't paying for it. Great.
- 21:01Yeah. That's yeah, that.
- 21:03That is the difference. So it's like, yeah, I enjoy
- 21:06visiting. I'm a little Jelly, right?
- 21:08But when I leave, it's like I don't go.
- 21:09I'm going to now see other people have a different mindset
- 21:13where they go out and plunge themselves into $600,000 worth
- 21:17of debt just to look good to their friends, right, the
- 21:19keeping. Up with the Joneses and I, I.
- 21:21Can't I? I.
- 21:22Yeah. No, that won't.
- 21:23That'll never be. That's not going to be me even
- 21:25like our. Kids growing up now, they had
- 21:27good birthday parties that were themed, but it was just the
- 21:30little plates and decorations and maybe they had a jumper and
- 21:33a pinata. But like, that was that was the
- 21:36extent, I mean, and I thought that was going over the top
- 21:41because I had a December birthday.
- 21:42So my birthday sucked so well, of course.
- 21:45So did would would you have so you've seen some of these TikTok
- 21:49kids on their 16th birthday when they don't get the right color
- 21:52car or they don't get. Would you would?
- 21:55You if if it was my child I will say it publicly I will beat you
- 21:59to an inch of your life. I don't care if it's child
- 22:01abuse. If I, if I ever saw a TikTok
- 22:03rated like my dad didn't get me the right Mercedes, I kill you.
- 22:07I mean, that's it, Game over, you know?
- 22:09And the parents and the parents go, oh, I'm sorry, honey, I'll
- 22:11go get it. Yeah.
- 22:13I would be like, no, no, I'd be like then you're not getting any
- 22:16car, right. You're.
- 22:17Not getting nothing. Which is the same like there was
- 22:20that I just saw that video of the travel agent who she has
- 22:25rich clients and the kid had called her because the well, I
- 22:29mean, it probably wasn't a kid, probably teens to 20s.
- 22:32I don't know. But they were going on a trip
- 22:34with their friends and their parents had set a budget of 10
- 22:37grand And the kid had called the travel agent because the kid was
- 22:40upset that they couldn't spend more.
- 22:42And she was like, no, like, I can't.
- 22:44Your parents set a budget of 10 grand and they were like
- 22:48berating her, like they were so mean to her.
- 22:51And I'm going what? Like what is wrong with society
- 22:55at this point that it, it's, it's just gone crazy.
- 22:59It's gone crazy. And that's where that door dorm
- 23:01room now, if you got it, you know, reminds me of that movie
- 23:03Back to School, which I love with Rodney Dangerfield, where
- 23:07he's rich, remember? And they they, and he makes the
- 23:09Jacuzzi and all. I mean.
- 23:13We all wanted to again, Again, my dorm room.
- 23:15My dorm room. What little, what short time I
- 23:18was in college. I mean, it was as basic as bait.
- 23:20I didn't even have a fridge. I mean, I think my buddy had a
- 23:22fridge, but yeah. You know so.
- 23:25Yeah, so 28. Hey, more power to the person.
- 23:28Congrats, enjoy the gig. But I'm I'm going to blame the
- 23:31Kardashian then blame social media and social influencers on
- 23:35why. Why the hell you have to spend
- 23:37$20,000 on decorating a room? A dorm room?
- 23:40Yeah, Well, did you do a sidewalk talk with Logan when he
- 23:45was growing up? Yeah, we.
- 23:47Had we had some side sidewalk chalk?
- 23:48Yeah. Our kids.
- 23:50Loved it. And even my brother's twins now,
- 23:53whenever they come over, they always ask if they can do
- 23:56sidewalk chalk and which I love to draw with them and it's a fun
- 24:01little thing to do. But I saw there is a mom in
- 24:05Alabama, so she has three kids and she goes out and does
- 24:09sidewalk talk with her kids and some of them are like
- 24:12motivational quotes. Well, some of her neighbors
- 24:16turned her in to the HOA, which I'm so thankful we live in the
- 24:20country and don't have that. So they, yeah, they turned her
- 24:24into the HOA. And so now she has to.
- 24:28So if they go out and do sidewalk chalk, she has to wash
- 24:31it off by 10:00 PM, but then she can write again at 6:00 AM.
- 24:36So now she is like setting her alarm and getting up at 6:00 AM
- 24:39every morning and going out and drawing new stuff, which I have.
- 24:43Like, that is the petty kind of shit I would do too.
- 24:46So I get it. Like that's the one way around
- 24:49the rules for this HOA that I feel like this is probably some
- 24:52old people that don't like to see all this sidewalk chalk out
- 24:55there. And it's these kids are being
- 24:57creative and having fun. They're not on their computers
- 25:00on the Internet, so I wonder. If you can write some choice
- 25:04words actually Or is that is that not allowed in my?
- 25:07In my she probably not. She probably, yeah, she probably
- 25:11is minding her P's and Q's. Like I said, she some of them
- 25:14have been like motivational quotes.
- 25:16And if I woke up and got to get in my car till there's a job
- 25:20that I probably hate and saw this cute little like sunshine
- 25:23and quotes on the sidewalk, I think, oh, like, this is cute.
- 25:26Like that would be a great way to start off my day.
- 25:29But no, these neighbors don't like it and are complaining.
- 25:33Well, you. You know me and the infamous
- 25:35Christmas tree story that I've told.
- 25:37I don't, I have not told the Christmas story on this podcast.
- 25:39The Christmas tree of the Christmas tree story, Yes.
- 25:42Yeah. So.
- 25:43So yeah, so Pokey and I were living in Clarkston, WA.
- 25:46We, we were living in a manufactured home.
- 25:49It was on its own piece of property.
- 25:51So and we were renting it. We were renting it.
- 25:53We didn't own it. And So what happened was one
- 25:56year we got a real Christmas tree.
- 25:58And so we had Christmas. Christmas came and then I set
- 26:01the Christmas tree out on the porch, out on the patio.
- 26:04And it sat there for months and months and months.
- 26:07And one day the neighbor who lived next door and a busy body
- 26:11old man goes, what are you going to move that Christmas tree?
- 26:15Well yeah, being passive aggressive like me, I'm like
- 26:19mofo that tree is never moving team.
- 26:23Petty I would have left it there.
- 26:25It stayed there. It was June or July.
- 26:27More. Dead ones.
- 26:28Oh yeah, looks to. It yeah.
- 26:30And he was like it's a fire hazard.
- 26:32It's a fire hazard. Oh, that thing was crispy as
- 26:34crispy, crispy, crispy sitting on my porch in July and I'm like
- 26:39that tree sat there and then eventually I moved it, but it
- 26:42went a good probably 6 to 8 months.
- 26:44I'm like, yeah, cuz I will never, I don't care how a great
- 26:49example, my buddy Randy, he has $600,000 home.
- 26:51Beautiful, right? Well, guess what, you're in.
- 26:54An HOA. You're in an HOA.
- 26:56And and I I just I'm sorry so a great I have a Co worker.
- 27:01Hopefully she doesn't mind me talking about her but she lives,
- 27:05she has an HOA and so she was paying like 300 some dollars and
- 27:10suddenly out of the blue she gets a letter from them saying
- 27:13hey guys people messed up on the HOA fees and now each each
- 27:17tenant owns owes $3000 payable by blankety blank time and your
- 27:22fees are going up to $600 a month.
- 27:24Oh my God. I.
- 27:26There is no place on planet Earth that I would live to where
- 27:30number one, I paying 300 bucks a month to get my lawn mowed
- 27:34maybe. And then and then they Jack it
- 27:36to 600 and then they send you letters and and Hoas can't put a
- 27:40lien on your house. Oh yeah.
- 27:42Yeah, so. No, I'll live, I'll live in my
- 27:46car. If, if the HOA, if the HOA is
- 27:49the last place on the planet. I, I can't, I, I talk and I talk
- 27:53about on the radio all the time. I talk about it on the radio all
- 27:56the time. I am so against Hoas.
- 27:59And then I can't believe people defend Hoas because they're
- 28:02like, but my lawn gets mowed. Get your lawn mower out
- 28:06yourself. And I mean not all HO as cover
- 28:08that like I don't. You know.
- 28:10I know people that it just covers like Rd. maintenance, you
- 28:14know, that kind of thing. But you have to take care of
- 28:16your own, your own lawn or you know, it's just the roads and
- 28:19the sidewalks and maybe like some water, some sewer.
- 28:23It really just depends on where you are.
- 28:26But that's crazy that how is a mistake.
- 28:29How to? Me, it's like, how is that
- 28:31legal? If you tell me, if you tell me
- 28:33my payment's 300 bucks a month and then suddenly you come and
- 28:35go, oh, by the way, someone mishandled the funds, somebody
- 28:39in the HOA mishandled the funds. Why the F am I paying an extra
- 28:42$3000? I'd take them to court.
- 28:45I, I, I said I'll take you to court.
- 28:47Oh yeah, I. Definitely would too.
- 28:49I'd find a lawyer, which, I mean, you're probably going to
- 28:51pay out more for an attorney. Well, probably.
- 28:53You know, but but just yeah, so so any any like even moving.
- 28:59I mean, I know that Megan wants to downsize someday.
- 29:02So we've looked at places the minute we go into a neighborhood
- 29:04and they go, oh, yeah, it's HOA. I'm like, you're like, Nope.
- 29:08Pack the shit up, Megan. We're out of here.
- 29:10Cross this one. Off the list, Beverly
- 29:11Hillbillies. Are hitting the road, man I.
- 29:15Think like the close this is the I've ever came.
- 29:17So we live next door to grandpa and the growing up, the kids had
- 29:22four Wheelers and they would pull their they would pull every
- 29:27their siblings and friends behind them on sleds.
- 29:30So when it would snow and then one year and they would go on
- 29:34grandpa's property because he we have 2 1/2 acres and he has an
- 29:37acre and we sit right next to each other.
- 29:39So it's a 3 acres of riding around having a blast on on the
- 29:44sleds and grandpa one year told them that they couldn't ride on
- 29:48his lawn because the four Wheelers were messing up his
- 29:51snow. He wanted his snow perfect.
- 29:55The four Wheelers were messing it up.
- 29:57Now I could see if the four Wheelers were messing up the
- 29:59lawn or like more damage, but it was messing up the perfect
- 30:04fallen snow. And I'm thinking, Oh, my God, I
- 30:07hope I don't get like this when I'm old.
- 30:10Like, please, if I do, somebody smack me.
- 30:13Like his grandkids were having fun, like they weren't doing
- 30:17anything bad. They were just riding around
- 30:20messing up his snow. Yeah, we do What?
- 30:22It's so funny is news talk listeners, cranky old men, their
- 30:28shorts. Their shorts are up here, you
- 30:30know, and they have a ball cap on and they're like, where's my
- 30:33Bob's Burger and Brews? Where's my Bob?
- 30:34I want, oh, I want a car wash too.
- 30:36And I'm like, OK, well, you can be polite about it.
- 30:39You know, it's like I said, I don't even work at, I don't even
- 30:42work at this radio station that you you're getting prizes from,
- 30:45dude. And I'm like, just just mean
- 30:47bastard. Old men are mean bastards.
- 30:49I don't know why, you know what I'm saying?
- 30:51Well, don't. Get mean when you get old.
- 30:52I mean you're what's that? Don't get mean when you get old.
- 30:55I'm. You get close.
- 30:58I refuse. I refuse to.
- 31:00Yeah, it was fun. I will say something one of the
- 31:04comments in in our last podcast, someone said to me, nice
- 31:09highlights, remember I saw that. No, I.
- 31:12Couldn't figure out what they were meaning because I don't
- 31:14have any. I didn't have any gel in right.
- 31:17But your hair did look like like look at it now, right, right it.
- 31:21Doesn't look like you I. Am starting.
- 31:23To get some Gray. I mean it's it's sprinkled in
- 31:26there. So I thought what it now does he
- 31:27mean the Gray hair that's coming through finally?
- 31:29No, it's the. Light, it was the.
- 31:31I told him, I said I think it's the lighting.
- 31:33Oh yeah, see, yeah, it's the lighting.
- 31:35But I mean hey, the tips are in the. 90s are back, so you're in
- 31:39stylus. There you go.
- 31:40I, I thought either he was talking about the, you know, I,
- 31:43he said, and he goes, no, it's not the lighting.
- 31:45I thought, oh, is he meaning the Gray that's in my hair?
- 31:47It's the, it's coming along. I mean, there's some Gray, you
- 31:49know, but I noticed it. Too, But yeah, I knew it was the
- 31:52lighting so. Oh yeah, because.
- 31:53Because now it looks. Like, totally.
- 31:54Yeah. Like, yeah.
- 31:57Well, it looks cute all spiky, so yeah, what's my?
- 32:00Normal it's my normal so, but anyway, just want to respond
- 32:03back to that comment there and down with Hoas and I love this
- 32:08lady with chalk keep it up yes all day long.
- 32:14I'd be even more aggressive than that so.
- 32:17Well, yeah, you and I would be writing cuss words and if I
- 32:20could, I. Would write stuff.
- 32:22About our neighbors, I'd be telling like they're dirty
- 32:24little secrets all over the sidewalk.
- 32:26I just have. Never understood busy bodies
- 32:30like that. I mean.
- 32:31Most people, they don't have anything better to do now.
- 32:34I now I do understand, OK, growing up poor, I do understand
- 32:37having a fridge out on the front porch.
- 32:39Are those things I understand why that would be unattractive?
- 32:43Yes. So.
- 32:44So if you do have garbage, you know, keep it behind a fence.
- 32:47I mean, we've got a, we have got to go do a load to the dump
- 32:49someday because we got an old BBQ, some bikes, you know, but
- 32:53they're stashed away, you know, out of sight.
- 32:55They're not just sitting in the front yard right out in your.
- 32:58Front driveway, right? So at least.
- 32:59At least at least I decided, you know, I grew up poor with crap
- 33:02like that. So at least I decided to hide it
- 33:06all. All the broke all the broken
- 33:07down shit is behind the fence. Yeah, as it.
- 33:09Should be as it should be. That's.
- 33:11Right. Closest Today's episode seems to
- 33:14be all about kids. Did Logan ever break anything
- 33:19while in the store when he was growing up?
- 33:21Oh, he did. Like break stuff like around the
- 33:24house? No in a.
- 33:25Store. Like when you went into a store,
- 33:28did he ever break something when you go into some other place?
- 33:32Not that I recall. He was pretty.
- 33:34He was the good news about Logan.
- 33:36He was pretty tied to his mom's hip.
- 33:38He would. He would never have been a
- 33:40child. You could have stolen like an
- 33:42abducted. Child.
- 33:43No. He.
- 33:44Would never have been an abducted child.
- 33:45He he was. He clung to his mom no matter
- 33:49what. He was never, he was never
- 33:51inquisitive. He never, he never approaching a
- 33:54stranger. He never approached a stranger
- 33:56like, hi, what's your name? And so, you know, Ted Bundy or
- 34:00anything trying to snap him like that wouldn't have happened
- 34:02because #1 Pokey would have beat the shit out of anybody that
- 34:05come near him. But but yeah, he as a toddler, I
- 34:10don't recall him break anything strong.
- 34:11But is there did something happen?
- 34:13Well, yeah. And my kids didn't break
- 34:14anything either growing up. But I mean, that's because
- 34:17before we would go into a store or someplace that you could
- 34:20break yourself, right? I would, yeah.
- 34:22I would put like the fear of God in them.
- 34:23Like you don't touch anything in here or I'm going to Butch you,
- 34:27you know, that kind of thing. We're such good.
- 34:29Parents. Yeah, we're such fabulous child.
- 34:32Abuse. We're such good parents.
- 34:33Yeah, great. Great parents.
- 34:35Well, no. OK, the reason I ask is, yes,
- 34:37there's a story. So there's this grandma, She's
- 34:41in a coffee shop and her granddaughter goes to sit up on
- 34:45her lap and there's a granite table in front of them.
- 34:49And the granddaughter, to make more room, you know, you
- 34:52instinctively push on the table. So she pushed on the table and
- 34:55it fell over. I've seen a video of it.
- 34:58And this granite table, like pieces break off of it, and the
- 35:03coffee shop owners come over and pick it up.
- 35:06Well, this granite table is like $1600.
- 35:10And so the mom is saying that the coffee shop wouldn't let
- 35:15them leave, that the coffee shop wanted her license and a credit
- 35:20card to pay for the damages for the table.
- 35:24And the coffee shop is saying, no, that isn't true.
- 35:27We just needed her information so that we could give it, you
- 35:30know, turn it into insurance. But and I've seen another video
- 35:34of this exact same table and people are kind of leaning on it
- 35:38and it's not very stable in the 1st place.
- 35:41And I'm thinking if you have a big business where people are
- 35:45coming in, I would be doing everything possible to make sure
- 35:49that there's nothing for people to trip over.
- 35:51There's nothing for people to get sued.
- 35:52On them like. What if that table would have
- 35:54fallen on that little girl like that could have seriously just
- 35:57to even have her be. Stronger.
- 35:59Yeah, just to even be strong enough to move a table.
- 36:01Or it's a granite table, right? Well.
- 36:03It just like fell over like forward, which it could have
- 36:07fell on her right, like easily. So I'm thinking what in like,
- 36:12why would you even have? Like I get you want your coffee
- 36:15shop to look cool and bougie, whatever, but at least like
- 36:18secure this thing in the ground for God's sakes.
- 36:20Like, but you saw. Other ones that weren't secure
- 36:23again, yeah. There's another video, the same
- 36:26exact table, and I'm not sure if it's like sorority sister, but
- 36:30they're kind of like leaning on it a little bit and it it is
- 36:33wobbly. You could see it like wobble
- 36:35back and forth. You're like this is not.
- 36:36The same exact. Table they looked good but.
- 36:38It's not good quality, no. Or like damn, like this is
- 36:42bolted down to the ground. I don't know.
- 36:45That does bring. Even even that does bring up a
- 36:48good question. Who's liable for the table?
- 36:52I'm curious exactly. Like that's the question now
- 36:56everybody is asking on the Internet like some people are
- 36:58for the mom and some people are for the coffee shop.
- 37:01Well, the mom should pay for it. And some people are like, well,
- 37:03no one hand shops. Do that, but on the other hand,
- 37:05if the table is not secure, no. I mean, clearly it's like it
- 37:10should. Be secure.
- 37:10It should be, especially a little kid.
- 37:12It's not like it was. Which I mean she looks like in
- 37:16the video she looks maybe 5 or 6.
- 37:18I'm guessing no five years should be able to top.
- 37:21Over a grant table, right? It's not like.
- 37:23She's this a big kid that's gonna right and it's.
- 37:26And and the kid and she wasn't acting out.
- 37:28No, she. Was just trying to sit on her
- 37:30grandma's lap and trying to make more space in between her and
- 37:34the table, you know? So instinctively you it was an
- 37:37accident. Right.
- 37:38Yeah. Yeah, tough, tough.
- 37:40And like I said, yeah, insurance will pay for that too.
- 37:43So. Well, yeah, that's.
- 37:44What the coffee shop is hoping for filing for.
- 37:48Yeah. Yeah.
- 37:49That's what that's what they're saying is why they needed the
- 37:52mom's information. And the mom is saying, well, no,
- 37:55they wouldn't let us leave. And they were insistent that we,
- 37:58you know, give them a credit card to pay for the table.
- 38:01So there's some back and forth on what's going on, but the
- 38:05Internet has been in an uproar. I don't I don't know if it's
- 38:08called Tablegate or what it is, but I always.
- 38:11I always end. Up I end up in tik toks of like
- 38:14tattoo gate and all these crazy things and I get sucked in.
- 38:18I am I am in it. It's like a whole TV show for
- 38:21me. I don't.
- 38:22You know that one's tough. That one's tough, that one's a
- 38:25tough one, but I'm going to say if the business has insurance,
- 38:28just have the just, yeah. File it with your insurance.
- 38:32I remember. Years ago that remember Putter,
- 38:35Cheryl's dog putter, you know, is very, is a very playful dog.
- 38:39And a neighbor was walking by the house and Putter came out
- 38:43and was playful and nip just nipped her a little bit.
- 38:46And sure, I had to pay out $6000 because the, the, it didn't
- 38:50break blood or it didn't break, you know, nothing like that.
- 38:52But the, the owner, the, the person, like the dog assaulted
- 38:56me. I know the dog was just saying
- 38:58hi and you know, a little nip and Nope, that was a $6000,
- 39:04right? Which again, as a business owner
- 39:06everyone is so happy nowadays, I would make sure.
- 39:09Are people just too litigious? Is it all about?
- 39:12Yeah, I think. It's a combination of both.
- 39:15I mean, what can I get from? Somebody.
- 39:17I mean, you've wronged me. Yeah, great.
- 39:19Great. Yeah, I mean, yeah, or just P
- 39:22and people not being like, OK, I should really make sure
- 39:25everything is secure. You know, there's no which you
- 39:28can't, again, you can't plan for every possible little thing, but
- 39:32you can try to mitigate stuff like this from happening for
- 39:35sure. So I just know.
- 39:38I just know many years ago when I was living in Lewiston, it was
- 39:41a rainy day. I had a had a Chevy Corsica and
- 39:43I was making AI was making a what was I making?
- 39:48Oh, I was going straight and this guy was making a left turn
- 39:53and she basically hit me, you know, So it's like I had, I had
- 39:57a green light. I'm going through the green
- 39:59light. She's turning left and she hit
- 40:02me. So I pull over, make sure she's
- 40:04all right. I'm like, are you OK?
- 40:05And she and I was funny in our conversation, waiting for the
- 40:09police. She goes, why?
- 40:10She goes, Why are you being so nice to me?
- 40:13And I and I just, I said to her, hey, man, it's like an accident
- 40:16can happen to anybody. It's OK.
- 40:18And she goes, you know, you're the nicest person I've ever hit.
- 40:22And did you? Ask how many people I didn't.
- 40:25I did not. I was.
- 40:26Not gonna push my luck, she goes.
- 40:28You're the nicest person I've ever hit so was not gonna push
- 40:31my luck, so clearly you weren't. The only one which is opposite
- 40:35of what I tell my kids, especially when they're new
- 40:37drivers. It's like, OK, if you hit
- 40:39someone, don't don't talk to. Them they tell you, they tell
- 40:46you that you're not supposed to because, because if you admit
- 40:49fault, no matter who did it, the the first, the first thing they
- 40:53tell you is you don't admit fault to anybody.
- 40:55You know, the, the they let, they let the police decide for
- 40:59that or figure that out. Figure that out, right?
- 41:01And. Hopefully they figure out it
- 41:03correctly, right? Well, usually if someone's
- 41:06turning left into you, that's a pretty, you know, it's right
- 41:08pretty obviously where where they hit.
- 41:10But it was still a funny story. When I think about break, when I
- 41:13think about breaking stuff that you brought up, I was like,
- 41:15yeah, that's a that's a again, that's a tough situation to be
- 41:19in. I don't know.
- 41:19I'm, I've kind of torn on, you know, on one hand I'm like, I
- 41:22can see the mom's point. On the other, I could see the
- 41:23the businesses, but I'm still going to go back to that table
- 41:27should have been secure. So.
- 41:28Oh yes. As a mom, let yeah, because
- 41:31again, my thought is that could have fallen on that line.
- 41:34Anybody. And then we just sued you and
- 41:36you have been. Yeah, we have a whole bunch of
- 41:38IKEA furniture and it comes with the little hooks on the back and
- 41:41it tells you to like, secure it to the wall.
- 41:43And that's what we do. So yeah, I hear you.
- 41:46Yep. Well, hopefully nobody sues us.
- 41:50I drop enough names. They should now, now the good
- 41:54news, because I remember I saw your buddy Frank's like, well,
- 41:56how, how's it going, guys? And how much are you making my
- 42:00negative -0 negative 0 on the podcast?
- 42:03So, you know, it's a, it's, it's a, it's a joy.
- 42:09It's a joy. Joy.
- 42:10Are you being, are you being Logan sarcastic?
- 42:13No, I'm just. Saying that no, this is, this
- 42:15is, this is, this is a, this is a, you know where we get to let
- 42:19off steam. We get to talk about topics of
- 42:21the day. We can just talk about things we
- 42:23couldn't. Talk about on the radio, yeah.
- 42:25The best part? The.
- 42:26Best part of this? Is we can definitely speak our
- 42:28minds, which is nice. So when I so when I want to talk
- 42:31about an HOA bitch, I could talk about an HOA bitch and not get
- 42:36in trouble for it. Right.
- 42:37Yeah, Yeah, we could say. Not that I talk like a.
- 42:40Not like I talk like all the time, no.
- 42:42No, of course not. No, never.
- 42:46Never. I'm the one.
- 42:46I'm the cusser out of the two of us, not you.
- 42:49Never wait. Never.
- 42:51Well, all right, we can wrap things up for today.
- 42:54Remember to subscribe to our podcast since our friend Frank
- 42:58was asking about it so that you do not miss an episode.
- 43:02And thank you all so much for listening to Rick and that
- 43:04Michelle chick. And you know.
- 43:05You could. Why don't you?
- 43:06Why don't you throw out? Throw out?
- 43:07Why don't they throw us a topic? There you go.
- 43:11Comment with something you would like us to talk about.
- 43:14Talk about this might be Canada or we could talk about.
- 43:17Radio, comic books, you know family life, blah blah blah
- 43:23whatever you know you could do, you could do 10 questions for
- 43:25Michelle whatever you ever whatever you ever wanted to know
- 43:28about Michelle Minor all lies what kind of.
- 43:31Makeup and shampoo I use. Yeah, I have.
- 43:34No, I have no idea. Oh, I will.
- 43:36Before we go, Patty got her eyebrows done.
- 43:38I have no idea what this. So there's things we so on the
- 43:41radio show, there's a couple things that we talked about
- 43:43before we go. Number one, we talked about high
- 43:46heels. Like, I don't know, I I could
- 43:49never be a woman or a girl because I could never wear high
- 43:52heels. Just just plain and simple.
- 43:54And then she was talking about she got her eyebrows done.
- 43:59Have you? Ever had your eyebrows done like
- 44:00yes? But there's a different done so
- 44:03you can get them tinted and laminated, right, Which is what
- 44:08I used to do. And then a few weeks ago I just
- 44:12had them like tattooed. Is that what she had done?
- 44:16She. Says it burns.
- 44:18Well, but that could be the lamination and the tinting
- 44:21though, because that can burn too.
- 44:23No, I got my tattoo and I have no tattoos anywhere else.
- 44:27Thank God. This woman.
- 44:28So you're telling me your. Eyebrows tattooed, I mean.
- 44:31Yeah, which? So you only save your eyebrows.
- 44:33And then they're just like, all I think about is taking out a
- 44:36Sharpie. Like take it out of Sharpie and
- 44:39draw it. That's all I think about.
- 44:41I mean, they do. Have to map your face and like,
- 44:44my eyes are not even if you look like this is my lazier eye,
- 44:47right? Well, yeah.
- 44:48You're not. You're asymmetrical, right?
- 44:49Everybody is. Which eyebrows are sisters, not
- 44:53twins? That's that's what US women say.
- 44:56And so they map it out and try to make them like as symmetrical
- 45:01as possible and then they tattoo them on.
- 45:03They don't. She didn't shave my eyebrows.
- 45:06I mean, she like trimmed them a little bit, but that's because
- 45:09they're like long as hell. So this is.
- 45:12This is and and it cost you blankety blank.
- 45:15I mean this is just it cost. A few $100, I'll say like 300,
- 45:20three, $100 don't tell my husband so.
- 45:25But to get like tinting and lamination every like a month is
- 45:30like $120.00. So in the end, it was worth it
- 45:34financially to finally bite the bullet and get them tattooed.
- 45:38I've been thinking about this for years, which I didn't like
- 45:41the microblading. This is new.
- 45:43This is like the powder brow so it looks more natural.
- 45:47So maybe that's. Maybe that's what Patty got was
- 45:49the microblading. Yeah, I would.
- 45:51Not get the microblading no anyway.
- 45:53I'm just throwing it out there. If you got some questions for
- 45:56Michelle, yeah, fire away. All in all in on some good
- 45:59questions and and I could never be a girl with all that stuff,
- 46:05no. No, I could never.
- 46:06Even drag, I couldn't even drag with all that stuff.
- 46:09I mean, we could try it out and see how we could try it out.
- 46:12Are you? All dressed.
- 46:12Up Oh, that would be good. Hey I.
- 46:14Love a good drag show. I love a good drag show and I'm
- 46:17envious for fun. No, I'm.
- 46:19Envious of the drag Queens because to me I look up when I
- 46:21see them on stage. I'm like, man, that's too much F
- 46:23and effort. It's an art.
- 46:25Yeah, it is an art. I tell you it is.
- 46:27It is. Absolutely.
- 46:29Well, we'll have to. Work on maybe getting one to
- 46:31like dress you all up and make you walk in high heels and there
- 46:35you go. We'll give it a shot.
- 46:36We could do it. For charity or something.
- 46:38Oh, there you go. I like that idea.
- 46:40There you go. OK, well.
- 46:41Now, can we finally wrap up today's episode?
- 46:43All right. Well, thank you all for
- 46:45listening to Rick and that Michelle chick.
