  Speaker 2: resources we need. He's pushing for the U.S. to acquire Greenland.

  Speaker 3: Denmark was invaded by the Nazis. And at that time,

  Speaker 3: the U.S. ambassador decided to reach out to the United
• 26:51
  Speaker 3: States and signed an agreement saying that we need help.
• 26:55
  Speaker 3: And so we pushed then, of course, them out of
• 26:58
  Speaker 3: Denmark because what they would have done is if they
• 27:00
  Speaker 3: would have taken and controlled Denmark, they would have then
• 27:03
  Speaker 3: had a launching pad into Greenland. And who knows, if
• 27:06
  Speaker 3: they would have taken down Europe, then they could have
• 27:08
  Speaker 3: launched attacks. The Nazis could have taken over and tried
• 27:12
  Speaker 3: to get into America. So we signed an agreement. And
• 27:14
  Speaker 3: of course, NATO in 1949 oversaw this agreement. So it's
• 27:19
  Speaker 3: really comical when NATO says that they're putting troops in
• 27:22
  Speaker 3: and doing this and that. So in 1951, the United States, Greenland,
• 27:27
  Speaker 3: and Denmark signed a security agreement that is still in
• 27:32
  Speaker 3: effect today. And what it basically states is that the
• 27:36
  Speaker 3: American military is allowed to build military installations and bases
• 27:41
  Speaker 3: in Greenland, as well as secure the airspace. So I
• 27:46
  Speaker 3: don't understand why President Trump is saying any of these
• 27:50
  Speaker 3: things in the media. All he has to do is say,
• 27:52
  Speaker 3: we have an agreement from 1951 that was signed with
• 27:57
  Speaker 3: the United States, Greenland, and Denmark, with the tutelage, by
• 28:01
  Speaker 3: the way, and oversight of NATO, and that agreement is
• 28:04
  Speaker 3: still in place, and we will be exercising our agreement,
• 28:08
  Speaker 3: no further questions. And I think this is a messaging issue.
