- 0:09Speaker 1: Ye shoots. Hello and hello, welcome to the Naughty but
- 0:16Speaker 1: Night Show. I'm your host, Shooter. It's a bright early
- 0:19Speaker 1: Monday morning here in New York City. Darren's off today, noughty,
- 0:22Speaker 1: so it's just us. But don't worry. My goodness, have
- 0:25Speaker 1: we got a lot to talk about today. Did you
- 0:29Speaker 1: watch the Wendy Williams documentary over the weekend? Wow? Four
- 0:35Speaker 1: and a half hours. Well we'll get into that in
- 0:40Speaker 1: just a minute. But what time is it, my friends,
- 0:43Speaker 1: let's have a look. What time is it? Oh, it's
- 0:45Speaker 1: tea time? Did you sing along? Thank you very much. Okay,
- 0:49Speaker 1: let's jump right into the show with really the biggest
- 0:51Speaker 1: story of the day, Wendy Williams. So I'm getting so
- 0:54Speaker 1: many DMS, texts, emails. My email is the Naughty Gossip
- 1:02Speaker 1: at aol dot com. The Naughty Gossip at aol dot com.
- 1:07Speaker 1: That's my emails. If you want to send me a note,
- 1:09Speaker 1: please do. Or if you get a celebrity tip, send
- 1:12Speaker 1: those two a picture. If you see a celebrity, take
- 1:14Speaker 1: a picture and send them to me. I'm creating an
- 1:17Speaker 1: army of naughties of reporters out there, so thank you
- 1:20Speaker 1: for that. But yes, if you have any questions, send
- 1:23Speaker 1: me an email. I do read all of them. So Wendy, Wendy, Wendy.
- 1:28Speaker 1: I've been getting so many texts, so many emails asking
- 1:30Speaker 1: what did I think about the documentary. Well, as you know,
- 1:34Speaker 1: I considered Wendy to be a friend. Wendy. When we
- 1:38Speaker 1: were the closest, we spoke once, maybe twice a week.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Nobody loved celebrity gossip more than Wendy Williams. Every Wednesday
- 1:47Speaker 1: when the weekly magazines would come out, Wendy would call
- 1:50Speaker 1: me giggling with joy and would go over them page
- 1:53Speaker 1: by page, laughing and gossip in. I gotta say nobody
- 1:58Speaker 1: was more plugged in than Wendy william She gave me
- 2:01Speaker 1: many a good tip over the years, which always turned
- 2:04Speaker 1: out to be true. She was just so exceptionally good
- 2:08Speaker 1: at this and now to see what has become of
- 2:11Speaker 1: her is just heartbreaking. But I thought the documentary, which
- 2:15Speaker 1: really started as a promotional tool. They approached Lifetime to
- 2:20Speaker 1: do a Wendy comeback. She'd lost her show, she was
- 2:23Speaker 1: going to launch a podcast. She thought she was going
- 2:25Speaker 1: to be the Joe Rogan of podcasts, earning hundreds of
- 2:29Speaker 1: millions of dollars each year, really selling it to a
- 2:32Speaker 1: big network, Spotify, iHeart, and becoming the podcast and becoming
- 2:37Speaker 1: the podcast queen where she could say pretty much anything
- 2:40Speaker 1: she wanted. After her TV show was canceled for her
- 2:44Speaker 1: and Sherry took over, I remember talking to Wendy and
- 2:47Speaker 1: she was actually okay about it. She said she was
- 2:49Speaker 1: a relief. That's what she told me. I'm relieved, and
- 2:52Speaker 1: I'm telling you all this for the very first time,
- 2:55Speaker 1: so you haven't heard me talk about this before. And
- 2:58Speaker 1: it's because I really respected wendy Is privacy as well
- 3:01Speaker 1: as the reason one of the reasons I'm a good
- 3:04Speaker 1: gossip columnists the secrets I keep. It's not just what
- 3:07Speaker 1: I reveal, it's what I don't. But now that Wendy
- 3:11Speaker 1: is telling her story, I think it's okay. I think
- 3:14Speaker 1: should be fine with me telling mine. And it's very
- 3:16Speaker 1: flattering about her that Wendy I knew was just fabulous,
- 3:19Speaker 1: just a lot of fun. And so I remember after
- 3:22Speaker 1: the show was canceled, we spoke and she said she
- 3:25Speaker 1: was relieved. She said the show she felt really confining.
- 3:29Speaker 1: There were certain subjects that she couldn't talk about, certain
- 3:32Speaker 1: opinions that were just too controversial for TV and all
- 3:35Speaker 1: of that you can do on a podcast. I said
- 3:38Speaker 1: to her, it feels like you're going from network TV
- 3:42Speaker 1: to cable to streaming. And she loved that because on Netflix,
- 3:45Speaker 1: on the streaming services, you can do a lot more
- 3:49Speaker 1: stuff than you can on NBC on ABC, And so
- 3:53Speaker 1: she thought she could have a more sort of adult
- 3:55Speaker 1: version of the show. She said too, that the show
- 3:59Speaker 1: made U dressed down and she liked to show off
- 4:02Speaker 1: her body. She loved showing her boobs and her bomb,
- 4:07Speaker 1: her legs, she loved short shorts, and she couldn't wear
- 4:10Speaker 1: that stuff on the show. They liked to keep her
- 4:12Speaker 1: covered up. They didn't want to alienate anybody in the audience,
- 4:16Speaker 1: anybody watching at home, and so she was always covered
- 4:18Speaker 1: up on the podcast you can wear whatever you want.
- 4:21Speaker 1: So she planned to have some sort of visual element
- 4:24Speaker 1: to the podcast. I know on our show, it's just
- 4:26Speaker 1: the audio. Wendy wanted some sort of YouTube channel so
- 4:30Speaker 1: you could watch the podcast as well as listen to
- 4:32Speaker 1: the podcast. As she had all these plans, and they
- 4:34Speaker 1: approached Lifetime to follow her around with the camera crew
- 4:38Speaker 1: to document her putting together a new business. The idea
- 4:42Speaker 1: was she was going to rise like a phoenix. Well,
- 4:45Speaker 1: within a few months it became clear that something was wrong.
- 4:48Speaker 1: It became clear that this wasn't going to happen, and
- 4:51Speaker 1: the folks at Lifetime then pivoted and changed it from
- 4:55Speaker 1: a real promotional hour documentary about the rise of Wendy
- 5:00Speaker 1: Williams a comeback story into something much more dark, and
- 5:04Speaker 1: that's when I think it became exploitive and really unsettling.
- 5:08Speaker 1: I didn't like it. This was not about the next
- 5:11Speaker 1: chapter of Wendy's life, but rather was an exploitive display,
- 5:16Speaker 1: in my opinion, of her cognitive decline and the decline
- 5:21Speaker 1: in her emotional well being. It was awful. The first episode,
- 5:26Speaker 1: called I'm Not a Crier, shows Wendy struggling to answer
- 5:31Speaker 1: repetitive questions about her health, her alcohol abuse, and about
- 5:35Speaker 1: her financial woes. They began to shoot the series in
- 5:39Speaker 1: August twenty twenty two. It went until April twenty twenty three,
- 5:43Speaker 1: and then they stopped filming when Wendy went away to
- 5:47Speaker 1: a rehab facility. It was devastating, but the part of
- 5:52Speaker 1: the documentary that is going to stick with me, and
- 5:55Speaker 1: I watched all four and a half hours It was painful,
- 5:57Speaker 1: but I did. I watched it all. The part of
- 5:59Speaker 1: it that gonna stick with me was just how lonely
- 6:03Speaker 1: Wendy Williams. What's she had? Nobody? And that's why her
- 6:07Speaker 1: audience was so important to her. Now, I know you're
- 6:10Speaker 1: gonna ask what about her family? Yes, she did have
- 6:13Speaker 1: family members in Florida. They are in the documentary, but
- 6:17Speaker 1: she comes across as somebody so lonely, and I can
- 6:21Speaker 1: confirm that I would get calls and text from Wendy,
- 6:25Speaker 1: sometimes as many as ten twelve a night, just begging
- 6:30Speaker 1: me to go over to her apartment, begging to have
- 6:33Speaker 1: somebody with her, begging to just sit there and gossip,
- 6:38Speaker 1: begging for someone to go and drink with her too.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Let's be really honest here, nought ease. The alcohol was
- 6:44Speaker 1: a real real issue. She didn't see it that way.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Her opinion was she'd made all this money, she was
- 6:50Speaker 1: a grown ass woman. If she wanted a drink, she
- 6:52Speaker 1: could have a drink. Who were we to tell her
- 6:53Speaker 1: not to do stuff? And if it was gonna hurt
- 6:56Speaker 1: her health, it was her choice. She made this money,
- 7:00Speaker 1: she made this life. She liked to drink, She liked
- 7:03Speaker 1: to vape. She liked guys, so what so do a
- 7:07Speaker 1: lot of people. Now the conservatorship, the guardianship would argue
- 7:11Speaker 1: that she was not in a right state of mind,
- 7:13Speaker 1: and that's when they took over. And that's when this
- 7:15Speaker 1: story gets very, very complicated. And this is the documentary
- 7:19Speaker 1: I would have loved to have seen, like the Britney Spears,
- 7:22Speaker 1: the Free Britney Spears documentary. It wasn't about Britney so much.
- 7:27Speaker 1: It wasn't about Britney's behavior, Britney's mental decline, Britney's substance abuse.
- 7:32Speaker 1: It was all in there, but it was really about
- 7:34Speaker 1: the bigger issue, which is who gets to decide what
- 7:38Speaker 1: you can do in your life if you're not breaking
- 7:41Speaker 1: any laws and alcohol is not illegal, and neither is vaping,
- 7:46Speaker 1: and neither's squandering all your money. If you want to
- 7:49Speaker 1: give your money away to shady people, that should be
- 7:53Speaker 1: up to you, or at least that's what we thought.
- 7:56Speaker 1: The conservator ship process is broken. It's broken when a
- 8:01Speaker 1: stranger can come in and literally take over your life.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Wendy and I can make no decisions about her own life.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Now it's a conservator now. The family seemed to be
- 8:12Speaker 1: arguing in the documentary that they would like to take
- 8:15Speaker 1: over this role, they would like to be in charge.
- 8:18Speaker 1: I got to say, her sister comes across great. There's
- 8:20Speaker 1: other people in the family not so well. There's a
- 8:23Speaker 1: few managers and publicists and other hanger ons don't come
- 8:26Speaker 1: across quite quite so well. Even in fact, they come
- 8:28Speaker 1: across terribly. But I think the sister is somebody here
- 8:32Speaker 1: that could probably do this, which leads us to our
- 8:34Speaker 1: whole question of the day. The documentary about Wendy Williams
- 8:39Speaker 1: was upsetting. Yes, it was exploitive of her too, But
- 8:42Speaker 1: at the end of the day, do you think Wendy
- 8:45Speaker 1: should have a conservatorship? Should she have a guardian? She
- 8:50Speaker 1: clearly has her struggles, but a lot of people do too.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Her rights have been taken away. Is this right? Hey?
- 8:58Speaker 1: Go vote on our Twitter page naughteen Nights rob a
- 9:01Speaker 1: Facebook page is naughty, gossip and mishure to check back
- 9:04Speaker 1: tomorrow to hear your results. Okay, moving along, Travis Kelsey
- 9:10Speaker 1: is back in America. He was in Australia for two
- 9:14Speaker 1: days with Taylor Swift, where they went to the zoo
- 9:16Speaker 1: twice twice. She liked the Koala Beth as the Kangaroos
- 9:20Speaker 1: that much. But he's back in the US and where
- 9:22Speaker 1: did he go? Veyus to party with his friends. So
- 9:26Speaker 1: he was seen popping bottles of champagne surrounded by a
- 9:31Speaker 1: bunch of women. After leaving Taylor in Australia, he arrived
- 9:35Speaker 1: in sin City on Saturday morning after just the two
- 9:38Speaker 1: day trip to Australia, and he went to straight to Lavo,
- 9:42Speaker 1: this really cool club in Vegas. I've been there. It's fun.
- 9:45Speaker 1: It's a restaurant, it's a club. There's music, people are dancing,
- 9:48Speaker 1: lots of beautiful people. He was spotted drinking champagne while
- 9:52Speaker 1: surrounded mm hmm by a bunch of beautiful women. Now
- 9:58Speaker 1: the party lasted. Get this from two pm until five am.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Nothing good happens after two three am. Nothing good, my friends,
- 10:14Speaker 1: he was to this is an adorable part. He was
- 10:16Speaker 1: to have seen singing along to a remix of Taylor's
- 10:20Speaker 1: hit song love Story Cut Travis, Travis, my friend, listen
- 10:24Speaker 1: to your uncle Robert Hello, Hello, Hello, don't blow this,
- 10:27Speaker 1: don't mess this up. You are now one of the
- 10:29Speaker 1: most famous men in the world. You're a good looking guy.
- 10:34Speaker 1: You just want a Super Bowl. You have lots of money,
- 10:37Speaker 1: have lots of power, you can fight. You're flying private planes,
- 10:42Speaker 1: you're popping bottles of champagne. A lot of pretty girls
- 10:45Speaker 1: in Vegas are gonna want to be very friendly with you.
- 10:49Speaker 1: They're gonna be throwing themselves at you. Now. I'm not
- 10:52Speaker 1: saying it's their fault. Takes two to tango, but the
- 10:56Speaker 1: temptations Travis are going to be coming really fast and
- 10:59Speaker 1: really and I want you to be Okay. We love you,
- 11:03Speaker 1: We love Taylor, We love this relationship. Don't blow it
- 11:08Speaker 1: by doing something stupid in Las Vegas and a dirty
- 11:13Speaker 1: secret here. But what happens in Vegas never ever stays
- 11:18Speaker 1: in Vegas. Be careful. Okay, this story made me smile.
- 11:23Speaker 1: I love how ambitious people are, specially women. So often
- 11:28Speaker 1: when a woman's accused of being ambitious, it's normally a dig,
- 11:33Speaker 1: normally a put down. So whenever you see a celebrity name,
- 11:35Speaker 1: particularly if it's a woman, and ambitious is in the headline,
- 11:39Speaker 1: try and think of it as a good thing. With
- 11:42Speaker 1: that said, let me tell you the following. Meghan Markle's
- 11:45Speaker 1: ambitions are to rival Martha Stewart or Joanna A. Gaines
- 11:49Speaker 1: in a new lifestyle brand. So it's at to say
- 11:53Speaker 1: Meghan Markle is planning to exit her net flick's contract
- 11:58Speaker 1: in order to take on the are Themerica's most famous
- 12:02Speaker 1: lifestyle queen like Martha, Joanna or Gwyneth Goop. So Harry
- 12:08Speaker 1: and Meghan's deal with Netflix will not get renewed. It
- 12:10Speaker 1: ends this year, but after that they're going to position
- 12:14Speaker 1: her as a lifestyle guru. Remember she had her blog
- 12:18Speaker 1: before she married Harry, very successful lifestyle blog that's going
- 12:22Speaker 1: to be coming back. I'm toild products are going to
- 12:24Speaker 1: be coming back. I'm told cooking demonstrations, lifestyle demonstrations. I'm
- 12:28Speaker 1: told she's going to become the queen of this fabulous
- 12:32Speaker 1: way to live, like a Martha Stewart. Now, it should
- 12:35Speaker 1: be pointed out Martha Stewart is not exactly known as
- 12:39Speaker 1: somebody that passes the baton. So I don't think Martha's
- 12:43Speaker 1: going to be that happy about all of this, But
- 12:45Speaker 1: I think there's room for another one. We've got Joanna Gaines,
- 12:49Speaker 1: We've got we've got Inina Gardner, We've got Gwyneth Paltrow.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Why not Meghan Markle. I want Meghan to find a
- 12:57Speaker 1: passion outside of her family and hers and who we
- 13:00Speaker 1: know she just adores. She doesn't want to go back
- 13:03Speaker 1: to acting, so maybe a lifestyle brand is something that
- 13:07Speaker 1: she could excel in. Okay, this story is explosive. We're
- 13:11Speaker 1: going to take a minute on this. So Bravo star
- 13:14Speaker 1: is firing back saying, why is it that Andy Cohen
- 13:17Speaker 1: always gets a pass? Brandy Glansville is doubling down, ripping
- 13:22Speaker 1: Bravo star Andy Cohen for his abusive and harassing behavior.
- 13:27Speaker 1: So her lawyers put out a statement Brandy accused Andy
- 13:31Speaker 1: of sexual harassment. He wrote back and said he apologized,
- 13:36Speaker 1: but it was a jest. It was a joke, so
- 13:38Speaker 1: he acknowledges he admits he did what he did. Brandy
- 13:42Speaker 1: said he sent her a FaceTime asking for a three
- 13:46Speaker 1: way with another Bravo star. We talked about this on
- 13:48Speaker 1: the podcast. Now instead of denying it, Andy's telling the truth.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Good for him and saying, yes, it did happen, but
- 13:53Speaker 1: it was a joke and it was inappropriate and I'm sorry. Well,
- 13:56Speaker 1: now Brandy's lawyer is firing back with a dead stating statement,
- 14:01Speaker 1: let me read it to you. Any boss clearly inebriated
- 14:05Speaker 1: drunk that contacts their employees by FaceTime video and invites
- 14:09Speaker 1: the employees to watch the boss have sex with someone employed.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Constitutes sexual harassment, plain and simple under any definition of
- 14:22Speaker 1: sexual harassment. I've got to agree. If your boss facetimed
- 14:26Speaker 1: you and asked you to watch him her have sex
- 14:30Speaker 1: with another employee potentially have a three way, that's not
- 14:34Speaker 1: a joke. That sexual harassment. So Brandy's lawyer goes on
- 14:38Speaker 1: to say the following quote, why is it that Andy
- 14:41Speaker 1: Cohen is getting a pass? Oh, this is where it
- 14:44Speaker 1: gets really deep. But I think it's true. If any
- 14:47Speaker 1: other supervisor at Comcast, they own Bravo, they own NBC.
- 14:52Speaker 1: If any other supervisor at Comcast did that, they would
- 14:57Speaker 1: be fired on the spot, Beshley. If their excuse was
- 15:02Speaker 1: this was a joke Andy. I'm told Andy's in trouble here.
- 15:09Speaker 1: NBC do not like this. They own Bravo. He did it.
- 15:14Speaker 1: She might even still have documentation of it. And my
- 15:18Speaker 1: sources tell me She's not the only one. Andy's been
- 15:22Speaker 1: sloppy in the past. Kathy Griffin accused him of using
- 15:25Speaker 1: drugs backstage at Watch What Happens Live. Beverley Frangle has
- 15:29Speaker 1: a lot to say about Andy. What do you think
- 15:32Speaker 1: is he in trouble? I think he is. Okay, we're
- 15:36Speaker 1: going to take a quick break and we will be
- 15:38Speaker 1: right back. Welcome back to the Naughty but nine Show
- 15:42Speaker 1: and your homescrump Shooter. Let's get to the polls. Last show,
- 15:47Speaker 1: we talked about Wendy Williams guardian Ship. Conservatorship seeks to
- 15:51Speaker 1: prevent the airing of the lifetime documentary. Well we know
- 15:55Speaker 1: he aired, so it aired over the weekend. A question
- 15:58Speaker 1: was should it air without wendy approval? Let's have a look.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Seventy five percent said no, this should not have aired
- 16:05Speaker 1: unless Wendy stood up in front of a judge and
- 16:08Speaker 1: said that she wants it to air. It's her life.
- 16:11Speaker 1: She's credited as the executive producer. I wonder how much
- 16:14Speaker 1: input she actually had in this. I don't believe the
- 16:16Speaker 1: Wendy I know would let this air. It just wasn't balanced.
- 16:19Speaker 1: It was just so exploitive. I'm with you, naughty is
- 16:23Speaker 1: don't forget to vote on today's Paul. Go to add
- 16:26Speaker 1: Twitter page at Naughty Nice rob a Facebook page Nordy
- 16:29Speaker 1: Gossip and be sure to check back tomorrow to hear
- 16:33Speaker 1: your results. And now it's time for our Nicest of
- 16:37Speaker 1: the Day. I love this story. Katy Perry was spotted
- 16:41Speaker 1: dancing along to the disk track that Taylor Swift wrote
- 16:44Speaker 1: about her while in Australia. So Katy Perry has had
- 16:48Speaker 1: a long troubled history with Taylor Swift. She went to
- 16:50Speaker 1: Taylor's shaw and Taylor performed the twenty fourteen hit bad Blood,
- 16:56Speaker 1: which is actually about her relationship with Katie Perry. What
- 17:00Speaker 1: did Katie do? She was up in a VIP box,
- 17:02Speaker 1: she sang along, she danced and afterwards she went backstage,
- 17:06Speaker 1: got her photographed with Taylor and put the following caption
- 17:09Speaker 1: on it. Got to see an old friend shining tonight.
- 17:14Speaker 1: I'm so happy you two have buried the hatchet and
- 17:19Speaker 1: nicest of the day. No more bad blad the song, yes,
- 17:23Speaker 1: but not the feelings. And I naught is the day. Naughty, naughty,
- 17:26Speaker 1: naughty Taylor again. But she's not the naughtiest dance Mom.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Abby Lee Miller is the naughtiest for because she doubled
- 17:33Speaker 1: down on a blunt message about Taylor Swift's dancing skills.
- 17:37Speaker 1: So Abby Lee Noan has a tough critic on dance
- 17:40Speaker 1: Mom's stood by her previous comments dissing Taylor Swift's dancing skills.
- 17:47Speaker 1: In a TikTok video, Miller addressed her past remarks, including
- 17:51Speaker 1: calling Taylor quote pigeon toad ah and saying that her
- 17:56Speaker 1: boyfriend Travis was a much better dancer than Taylor. Instead
- 18:00Speaker 1: of retracting those statements, Abby Lee went on with the criticism,
- 18:04Speaker 1: and she went on to say, quote, she may love
- 18:06Speaker 1: to dance, but she's not really a dancer. Oh, Abby enough,
- 18:12Speaker 1: shut up, Abby Lee Miller and naughtiest of the day.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Let's end with a moment of rob. You get a Robbie,
- 18:19Speaker 1: get a roub, you get a rob. Don't self doubt
- 18:21Speaker 1: yourself out of your destiny. What do I mean by that?
- 18:24Speaker 1: Don't let that dirty, nasty little voice in your head,
- 18:27Speaker 1: that lie telling you you are not good enough. Don't
- 18:30Speaker 1: let that voice win, because if it does, it's going
- 18:32Speaker 1: to change your future. Don't let it win. Turn down
- 18:37Speaker 1: that negative self doubt in your head, because let me
- 18:40Speaker 1: tell you the truth, that nasty little voice is telling
- 18:44Speaker 1: you a lie. It's always telling you a lie. It's
- 18:47Speaker 1: always been telling you a lie, always will tell you
- 18:50Speaker 1: a lie. Don't let that nasty self doubt ruin your future. Hey,
- 18:56Speaker 1: that's it for today. Thank you so much for listening
- 18:58Speaker 1: to The Naughty Bit, Nice With and The Naughty Show
