Luna: Oh, I love colour. Are we learning colours? Lucas: We are. Three basic ones to start: red, blue, and yellow. Luna: Okay, I'm ready. Hit me with red first. Lucas: Red in Cantonese is 紅色. Listen: 紅色. Luna: 紅色. Lucas: Perfect. That was spot on. Blue is 藍色. Luna: 藍色. Lucas: Good. And yellow is 黃色. Luna: 黃色. Lucas: You sound like a pro already. Let's try a phrase. 'I like red' — 我鍾意紅色. Luna: 我鍾意紅色. Lucas: Yes! You remembered 鍾意 from episode 102. That's perfect. Luna: So I can say 我鍾意藍色 or 我鍾意黃色 too. Lucas: Exactly. Now let's describe something. Remember flowers from episode 107? 'This flower is red' — 呢朵花係紅色. Luna: 呢朵花係紅色. What if it's blue? 呢朵花係藍色. Lucas: Nailed it. And yellow? 呢朵花係黃色. Luna: 呢朵花係黃色. This is so easy. Lucas: Let's do a quick scene. Imagine we're at a market. You see a red scarf. What do you say? Luna: 我鍾意紅色? Or maybe 呢條頸巾係紅色. Lucas: Both work. But if you want to say 'this scarf is red' — 呢條頸巾係紅色. 頸巾 is scarf. Luna: 呢條頸巾係紅色. Got it. Lucas: Now, if you're shopping and you want to say you like the red one, you can say 我要紅色嗰個 — 'I want the red one'. Luna: 我要紅色嗰個. That's a longer phrase. Let me try: 我要紅色嗰個. Lucas: Great. You can change the colour: 我要藍色嗰個, 我要黃色嗰個. Luna: 我要藍色嗰個, 我要黃色嗰個. I feel like I can shop in Hong Kong now. Lucas: Almost. Let's do one more repetition. I'll say the colour in English, you say it in Cantonese. Red. Luna: 紅色. Lucas: Blue. Luna: 藍色. Lucas: Yellow. Luna: 黃色. Lucas: You've got them. Now, I want to say something.
