- 0:13Speaker 1: Hey, everybody, welcome to Pink Shade. It's TLC Tuesday. I'm
- 0:17Speaker 1: here with Kimberly. She's back, she's better than ever. We're
- 0:20Speaker 1: gonna talk ninety day fiance.
- 0:22Speaker 2: I was ready to rock out to the music, and
- 0:24Speaker 2: then there was no music because I get confused.
- 0:27Speaker 1: No, we only rock out for Prime on Prime's Yeah,
- 0:32Speaker 1: and you know that last week because I forgot to
- 0:35Speaker 1: put the music up, and I was like, oh, I
- 0:36Speaker 1: forgot to put the music up, so I'm singing, and
- 0:39Speaker 1: then I played it. Ingrid put the other music on
- 0:41Speaker 1: top of it, so it's like double music. I reached
- 0:46Speaker 1: out to her. I go, you put the music on
- 0:48Speaker 1: and it's Prime and we don't put the music. She goes,
- 0:50Speaker 1: I think you didn't do the music. I was like,
- 0:52Speaker 1: I did it. It was just eight seconds late. Anyway,
- 0:54Speaker 1: You're welcome, everybody. Double.
- 0:56Speaker 2: She didn't listened to part to past eight seconds to
- 0:59Speaker 2: see what's happening.
- 1:00Speaker 1: She doesn't listen to shit.
- 1:02Speaker 2: I know, I got Ingrid.
- 1:04Speaker 1: I think she like searches for her name.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Oh so if I call her the C word, then
- 1:09Speaker 2: that will she'll that'll be triggered.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, she'll be like, who's talking about man.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Yeah, but what if I just say she or I
- 1:17Speaker 2: say Schminger it.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Uh, Schwinger, it will still probably pop up if she
- 1:22Speaker 1: searches for her own name.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, what's her what's her middle name?
- 1:27Speaker 1: And okay Shmingered Schman. You guys, if you are on
- 1:34Speaker 1: my Instagram, I am, it will be posted. I haven't
- 1:39Speaker 1: when you and our recordings. I'm gonna post it right
- 1:41Speaker 1: after I did the cringiest ad that you've ever seen
- 1:48Speaker 1: for the bed. Yeah, I'm gonna send it to you
- 1:50Speaker 1: right now. I wish I could just play it, but
- 1:53Speaker 1: I don't know how to do that.
- 1:55Speaker 2: I really do.
- 1:56Speaker 1: I really do want everybody to go look at it.
- 1:58Speaker 1: It is a pricey product, but all of these bed
- 2:01Speaker 1: cooler things are. And like I said, we've had that
- 2:04Speaker 1: uler for years and years and years, and it just
- 2:06Speaker 1: got to be such a situation with the cleaning of
- 2:08Speaker 1: the water and the oh so the perfectly snug I'm
- 2:12Speaker 1: telling you. Dave said this morning, he goes, I need
- 2:14Speaker 1: to be able to control my own side of the
- 2:16Speaker 1: bed because I go was freezing last night and I
- 2:19Speaker 1: was like, well, you told me to put it on
- 2:21Speaker 1: a negative seven. I was on like a negative three.
- 2:23Speaker 1: He was on a negative seven, so like yeah, yeah,
- 2:28Speaker 1: So because he was just having me control it from
- 2:31Speaker 1: my phone, I was like, why don't you control your
- 2:32Speaker 1: own side of the bed. Why do I have to
- 2:33Speaker 1: be in charge? And then we had a fight. But
- 2:39Speaker 1: so anyway, that's it, guys, go check out the ad
- 2:42Speaker 1: perfectly snug. It's going to change if you're a menopause
- 2:46Speaker 1: a lady, I have a question about menopause, and then
- 2:48Speaker 1: we will get into this recap.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I went got a massage recently and the lady there
- 2:54Speaker 1: told me. The massage lady told me she's almost sixty
- 2:56Speaker 1: and she was like, you know, Perry, menopause, menopause, the
- 2:58Speaker 1: whole thing last twenty year. I was like, excuse me,
- 3:02Speaker 1: excuse me. I don't think that's correct. I think it's ten.
- 3:06Speaker 1: And I think it's like from like ten, like forty
- 3:10Speaker 1: five to fifty five or forty eight to fifty eight
- 3:12Speaker 1: or whatever, because I'm like, I feel like here, God,
- 3:15Speaker 1: I like I'm on the other side of it. And
- 3:17Speaker 1: she was like, no, I think it's like twenty. I
- 3:19Speaker 1: was like, girl, we need to do some research because
- 3:22Speaker 1: I don't think that's right. Yeah. I didn't like hearing that.
- 3:26Speaker 2: No, that's the most horrible thing I've ever heard in
- 3:29Speaker 2: my entire life.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Yeah, because I think I really all the hot and
- 3:32Speaker 1: everything started like forty eight forty nine, like beings really
- 3:37Speaker 1: hot all the time.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Yeah, well I've always been really hot. That's like a
- 3:41Speaker 2: medication issue. But I have the brain fog, but my
- 3:46Speaker 2: doctor doesn't think it's menopause. I just get very poor sleep.
- 3:49Speaker 1: So guess what perfectly snug is there for you? Yep? Yeah, everybody, Okay,
- 3:57Speaker 1: that dead. Enough chat about that. We've got so much.
- 4:00Speaker 1: This was a great episode.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Yes it was.
- 4:02Speaker 1: It was jam packed and I gotta tell you love
- 4:05Speaker 1: after lock up. This week also a great episode.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Oh good, did I see this week's yet.
- 4:11Speaker 1: We've got the new weirdo with the long red hair.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Yeah, oh yeah, yeah. Who is an indigenous person?
- 4:18Speaker 1: Or so he says, So he says, Akisha doesn't believe it.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Yeah, but I don't know if I do.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Just because you're from Oklahoma doesn't mean you get to claim.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Yeah, but let's get started, so we're gonna talk about it.
- 4:31Speaker 2: There's a lot of tight pants like Meado though, I
- 4:34Speaker 2: mean Meato can never. Where's me o never?
- 4:37Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 4:38Speaker 2: No, yeah.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Okay. So ninety Fiance, Season twelve, episode eleven, Meeting the Family,
- 4:45Speaker 1: that's what this is called. I do want you guys
- 4:50Speaker 1: to check out Instagram because I will be putting up
- 4:52Speaker 1: a reel that I'm gonna make myself, which means it'll
- 4:54Speaker 1: take me hours. So everybody like it, appreciate it. Of
- 4:58Speaker 1: there's so many great lines on this episode. Yeah, so
- 5:02Speaker 1: we're gonna start with Mallory and Ross Sheet and so
- 5:08Speaker 1: we're at Rin and Michaela's playing cornhole. Now, when they
- 5:11Speaker 1: were first playing cornhole and I was writing this down,
- 5:13Speaker 1: my daughter walked in the room and I go they
- 5:15Speaker 1: were playing the game with the speaking of brainwalk and
- 5:18Speaker 1: I was like, you know. She goes, are you having
- 5:20Speaker 1: a seizure because I was just throwing my arm forward
- 5:25Speaker 1: and I go the thing with the bean bag. She
- 5:27Speaker 1: was like, I don't know. I don't do sports. So
- 5:29Speaker 1: finally they said the words cornhole. I was like, thank god,
- 5:32Speaker 1: I can't remember the name of it.
- 5:33Speaker 2: I also forgot the name of cornhole the past twice
- 5:37Speaker 2: in the past two weeks. Okay, yeah, me now, because
- 5:43Speaker 2: they play it occasionally at my dad's retirement community and
- 5:46Speaker 2: the noise of the bean bag hitting the wood scares
- 5:50Speaker 2: Ralthie because Ralphie has some I don't know, he's mourning
- 5:55Speaker 2: my mom or there's something going on emotionally, and he
- 5:58Speaker 2: runs home and leaves my dad. He just bolts.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Oh, no, cornwall is very hard. It's very hard to
- 6:06Speaker 1: get one of those beanbags in.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Well, not for Rush's rush.
- 6:11Speaker 1: He's a natural. So everybody looks sweaty, it looks hot
- 6:14Speaker 1: there and talking it together, she says, since the baseball
- 6:19Speaker 1: game and Rashie really showed his ass, she's kept and
- 6:22Speaker 1: locked up in the house. He's not allowed you around
- 6:24Speaker 1: anybody else if he's going to be rude. Good for her,
- 6:28Speaker 1: And he says, I don't feel bad about Mallory and
- 6:31Speaker 1: Brandon Brandy, but I do feel bad for Wren and
- 6:36Speaker 1: Mikayla because Wren is a good friend and I really
- 6:39Speaker 1: like him.
- 6:40Speaker 2: M hm, so they. I just wish he had a
- 6:44Speaker 2: vowel in his name besides the sometimes why just.
- 6:48Speaker 1: R y in? I usually write it r e n
- 6:51Speaker 1: so that I say it correctly. But then I decided
- 6:54Speaker 1: maybe I was being disrespectful in my notes, so I
- 6:56Speaker 1: typed it r y in And I'm making myself say
- 6:58Speaker 1: Wrenn even though it could be Ryan. Yeah. So they
- 7:02Speaker 1: tell Rosh that Katie and Brandon are coming. He goes Brandy,
- 7:06Speaker 1: Brandy always with Brandy, and Rinn says, look, man, Brandon
- 7:11Speaker 1: is my best friend. Makaya goes, you gotta get used
- 7:13Speaker 1: to it, and Malory goes, just stop being an asshole
- 7:16Speaker 1: and let it go. I'm going to lock you in
- 7:17Speaker 1: the house again. So he says, okay, now.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Not because Mallory said it, because wren said it. So
- 7:25Speaker 2: he'll listen to a man. I really think that this
- 7:28Speaker 2: part of Rush's culture is Mallory could say whatever and
- 7:33Speaker 2: he won't listen to her. But if Rinn is telling
- 7:35Speaker 2: he's like, okay, man to man.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Okay, well you might be right. So the men are
- 7:40Speaker 1: set around eating venison and talking about various parts of
- 7:44Speaker 1: deer meat, and Mallory sits at the table and talks
- 7:47Speaker 1: to her friends and says, yeah, raw. She feels bad
- 7:50Speaker 1: because he can't work right now. You feel like he's
- 7:52Speaker 1: not contributing. So I decided to tell him that he
- 7:56Speaker 1: can't have my money. And I brought up a conversation
- 7:58Speaker 1: about a prenup and he thinks I'm bringing it up
- 8:02Speaker 1: because I think we're not gonna last. And it's hard
- 8:05Speaker 1: to explain with the language where because prenups don't exist
- 8:08Speaker 1: in Turkey. So the guys are like, what are you
- 8:11Speaker 1: talking about over there? You share it with the class,
- 8:14Speaker 1: and she says she will.
- 8:16Speaker 2: This is when you say period diarrhea, we're talking about
- 8:20Speaker 2: period poops. Then they'll just walk away.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Oh oh oh. I was like, what are you talking about? Oh,
- 8:26Speaker 1: because the guys are saying, what are you talking about? Yeah,
- 8:29Speaker 1: and she explains, I am telling them how I want
- 8:33Speaker 1: to prenup to protect my brokerage account and my house.
- 8:37Speaker 1: And he's taking it the wrong way. But like, my
- 8:39Speaker 1: thought is what if something happens and God forbid in
- 8:42Speaker 1: ten to fifteen years And Brandon says, do you ever
- 8:46Speaker 1: take into consideration He packed up his whole life to
- 8:49Speaker 1: come here, and everybody's like, you're taking Russia's side. All
- 8:53Speaker 1: of a sudden, you believe in love, like you're a
- 8:56Speaker 1: hopeless romantic. He goes into the whole thing about being
- 8:59Speaker 1: a whole was romantic. But Brandon says he moved halfway
- 9:03Speaker 1: across the world and went all in on you, and
- 9:06Speaker 1: Rosh goes, yeah, I do not sign this paper and
- 9:08Speaker 1: I don't care about the stuff. And Michaela says, well,
- 9:12Speaker 1: I'll tell you I'm the one that suggested it. And
- 9:14Speaker 1: he goes, oh, it's because I'm Turkey, and she says, no,
- 9:18Speaker 1: it's I'd say the same thing. Is she married a
- 9:20Speaker 1: guy from Alabama? Now that I believe, because I think
- 9:23Speaker 1: Mallory does have these two assets. Yeah, And I do
- 9:26Speaker 1: think if she married a guy from Alabama that Michayla
- 9:29Speaker 1: would say the same thing.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:31Speaker 1: And Brandon says, look, this guy left.
- 9:34Speaker 2: His ead unless it was a rich guy who had
- 9:36Speaker 2: like a lot of money on his own and had
- 9:38Speaker 2: a good job. But if it was a guy who
- 9:41Speaker 2: didn't have a job, yes.
- 9:43Speaker 1: A guy that's equal ish. So Brandon says he gave
- 9:48Speaker 1: up everything and all he wants is love, and Michaela goes, Okay,
- 9:52Speaker 1: that's great and everything. But she's worked her ass off
- 9:54Speaker 1: to get that house and she almost died last year,
- 9:57Speaker 1: and I don't want somebody to come in and take
- 9:59Speaker 1: that from her. And Brandon's like, you can't weigh financial
- 10:02Speaker 1: asss over what he gave her. You can't even put
- 10:05Speaker 1: those on the same scale. I was like, well, kinda
- 10:08Speaker 1: you can.
- 10:09Speaker 2: So you kind of can. Also, Brandon is saying a
- 10:11Speaker 2: lot of like soundbites about society and culture, like where
- 10:15Speaker 2: are with people not valuing marriage like they used to
- 10:20Speaker 2: and in like the good old days? And I was
- 10:22Speaker 2: getting a little uncomfortable. I was like, well, you have
- 10:27Speaker 2: your sunglasses on your head, on top of your baseball head,
- 10:31Speaker 2: upside down, upside down.
- 10:32Speaker 1: I did notice they were upside down, y'all. I don't
- 10:36Speaker 1: know about you, but it's been so hot here, and
- 10:39Speaker 1: ninety five degrees outside feels like one hundred and twenty
- 10:42Speaker 1: degrees inside your pants. Am I right? You can summer
- 10:46Speaker 1: prove your intimate areas with the tushy bidet, the instant
- 10:50Speaker 1: bathroom upgrade that keeps you healthy and fresh where sweat
- 10:53Speaker 1: hits the hardest. Y'all, I am so excited to talk
- 10:56Speaker 1: to you about the tushu bidet. You don't even know
- 10:58Speaker 1: as listeners did this show. No, we talk about bidets
- 11:01Speaker 1: on our reality shows a lot. So many of our
- 11:04Speaker 1: ninety day fiancees come over to the US and they're
- 11:06Speaker 1: stunned that every home does not have a bidet, and
- 11:09Speaker 1: all the Americans end up getting one and loving it.
- 11:12Speaker 1: I would be willing to bet that most of them
- 11:14Speaker 1: are getting a tissue bidet. I just got one. It
- 11:17Speaker 1: was so easy to install. Seriously, it took me ten minutes,
- 11:20Speaker 1: and I'm not a handy person. Remember how easy it
- 11:23Speaker 1: was for Rashii to install his new bidet at Mallory's house.
- 11:26Speaker 1: He was so excited about his clean buttthole, and he
- 11:28Speaker 1: wanted her to have a clean buttthole too. Now that's love. Now,
- 11:32Speaker 1: Rashiet's new bidet looked great in her bathroom, and my
- 11:35Speaker 1: new bidet looks great in my bathroom. I am telling you,
- 11:38Speaker 1: if you haven't tried a bidet, get on board or
- 11:41Speaker 1: get on the bidet. It really does make you feel
- 11:43Speaker 1: so clean, and like Gihun from ninety Day Fiance, your
- 11:47Speaker 1: whole family can have a clean anal. Seriously, though, ninety
- 11:51Speaker 1: nine percent of people who washed with Tushey warm water
- 11:53Speaker 1: bidets feel cleaner and fresher after going to the bathroom.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Tashi ebideys have a heated seat, adjustable water, and a
- 12:01Speaker 1: powerful yet gentle dryer. Tushue bidet is easily attached to
- 12:04Speaker 1: your existing toilet without the need for additional plumbing, and
- 12:08Speaker 1: the ebidays only require an outlet, and people who have
- 12:12Speaker 1: made the switch to Tushy use up to eighty percent
- 12:14Speaker 1: less toilet paper, no more clogged toilets, and that is
- 12:17Speaker 1: a big problem in my house. Not naming names, but
- 12:21Speaker 1: there's no more wasting money on something that does an
- 12:23Speaker 1: inferior job of cleaning your tushi. Every Hello Tushy bidet
- 12:28Speaker 1: comes with a thirty day hassle free return and a
- 12:30Speaker 1: twelve month warranty. You literally have nothing to lose, so
- 12:34Speaker 1: stay fresh and healthy where the AC can't reach for
- 12:38Speaker 1: a limits to time. Our listeners get ten percent off
- 12:40Speaker 1: their first bedet order when you use code pink shade
- 12:44Speaker 1: at checkout. That's ten percent off your first bidet order
- 12:47Speaker 1: at Hello Tushy t u Shy hellotushy dot com with
- 12:52Speaker 1: the promo code pink shade for ten percent off and
- 12:56Speaker 1: let me know how you like it. So then Rashie
- 13:06Speaker 1: takes Brandon outside and says he's sorry for the way
- 13:09Speaker 1: he's acted. And I think that's the only way he
- 13:11Speaker 1: was allowed to go to this cornhole party. He was
- 13:14Speaker 1: gonna You're gonna apologize or you don't get to go
- 13:16Speaker 1: to any more parties.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Yeah, treat him like a child if he's gonna behave
- 13:20Speaker 2: like a child at a baseball game.
- 13:23Speaker 1: I think that's right. So you're sorry, say you're saying
- 13:26Speaker 1: your seigns you don't get to go drink beer anymore.
- 13:30Speaker 1: So he apologizes, and Branda says, listen, I understand the
- 13:34Speaker 1: situation is awkward for you, but I appreciate you pulling
- 13:37Speaker 1: me aside to apologize. I appreciate that as a man, a.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Man like women, don't apologize as.
- 13:46Speaker 1: A man, don't sit on my tailgate as a man.
- 13:50Speaker 2: I noticed he arrived in an suv that did not
- 13:53Speaker 2: have a tailgate, and I was like, few, at least
- 13:55Speaker 2: that's a crisis we won't be having at this cornhole party.
- 14:00Speaker 1: And the talking head ra She says, you know, Brandon,
- 14:03Speaker 1: he is from America and I am from Turkic. But
- 14:07Speaker 1: he doesn't think rash Muslim rash come for green card.
- 14:11Speaker 1: He don't think this. He care good person, So I
- 14:14Speaker 1: don't know if he means he cares I'm a good
- 14:16Speaker 1: person or yes, yeah, yeah, I don't have a lot
- 14:20Speaker 1: of support here, but Brandy support me, and I can
- 14:23Speaker 1: see now he's a good guy. It's all.
- 14:26Speaker 2: It's all it took, that's all it Tuck could take
- 14:28Speaker 2: my side in a fight at the bitches.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Yeah, and so let's see duttad. We're gonna move on
- 14:35Speaker 1: to Marissa and Edward. Do we have to.
- 14:42Speaker 2: This lady?
- 14:42Speaker 1: Did you see she posted a whole thing like beforetnight's
- 14:45Speaker 1: episode comes out? Oh no, she knows, She's like before
- 14:49Speaker 1: tonight's episode comes out. I'd like to apologize in advance. Yeah, yeah,
- 14:55Speaker 1: she said she she wasn't herself. She's really sorry. Let's
- 14:59Speaker 1: see if I can find it. I was, because then
- 15:01Speaker 1: I was like, well, I can't wait to see the episode.
- 15:03Speaker 1: She must have said something terrible.
- 15:06Speaker 2: But the best part for her on this is that
- 15:11Speaker 2: while she was being such a bitch to Edward, she
- 15:13Speaker 2: wasn't wearing that giant cross around her neck, because that
- 15:17Speaker 2: would have been even that would have been perfect Okay,
- 15:20Speaker 2: just perfection.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Let's hearing sah.
- 15:23Speaker 3: I just wanted to jump on really quick because a
- 15:25Speaker 3: new clip has just been released on the ninety day sites,
- 15:29Speaker 3: and it is a scene from this upcoming episode where
- 15:32Speaker 3: I'm sitting with my girlfriends and I'm expressing my concerns
- 15:36Speaker 3: on whether or not Edward and I are compatible on
- 15:39Speaker 3: an intellectual level.
- 15:40Speaker 1: And I want to be really clear about this.
- 15:42Speaker 4: Okay, I do not feel that Edward is stupid or
- 15:45Speaker 4: is an imbecile. I think the challenge that I was
- 15:48Speaker 4: facing was that we have a very big language barrier,
- 15:51Speaker 4: and we were unable to get into deep conversations because
- 15:55Speaker 4: I don't speak Spanish very well and you know, he's
- 15:58Speaker 4: still in the process of learning English to a level
- 16:02Speaker 4: of high fluency. So I want to publicly apologize to
- 16:06Speaker 4: him for, you know, saying things that made him look
- 16:09Speaker 4: like I didn't.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Think that he was smart.
- 16:11Speaker 1: It's not the case.
- 16:12Speaker 4: It's just that it was difficult communicating because of the language,
- 16:17Speaker 4: which is why I got engaged with him.
- 16:21Speaker 2: That's why I decided to marry him and bring him
- 16:24Speaker 2: to my country to live with my children, because we've
- 16:26Speaker 2: never had a deep conversation because of a language fairy.
- 16:31Speaker 1: I think he's pretty fluent.
- 16:33Speaker 2: I think he I don't think that's the issue at all. Yeah.
- 16:37Speaker 1: I think she had some wine and said what she
- 16:39Speaker 1: was really thinking, which is he's not as smart as me, yes.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Yep, and as good as me because of money.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Yeah. Okay, so you uh.
- 16:49Speaker 2: She he comes out in an outfit, they're going to
- 16:52Speaker 2: a dinner party, and she's like, no, it's too monochromatic,
- 16:56Speaker 2: don't wear the bracelets. Change sends him away and he
- 17:00Speaker 2: just sighs, it's just really his life soul is being
- 17:04Speaker 2: sucked out of his body every time she speaks. And
- 17:07Speaker 2: then he comes out. She's like, much better. See how
- 17:09Speaker 2: we match better? We go look like we look good together.
- 17:13Speaker 2: And so they're going to a cocktail party in her
- 17:15Speaker 2: neighborhood with some friends. She hopes that he fits in.
- 17:19Speaker 2: She warns him in the car, I know you don't
- 17:22Speaker 2: drink much, but please don't get sloppy drunk and embarrass me.
- 17:26Speaker 2: So to clarify, she's never seen him sloppy drunk, but
- 17:31Speaker 2: she feels the need to tell him not to get
- 17:33Speaker 2: sloppy drunk.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Tonight might be the night.
- 17:36Speaker 2: To my I mean, I would become a drinker if
- 17:40Speaker 2: I had to live with this woman. So and then
- 17:44Speaker 2: they go to the house and she's like, so this
- 17:46Speaker 2: is not like a welcome to the World party. It's
- 17:49Speaker 2: not you know, it's just like a normal party that
- 17:51Speaker 2: I would go to with my friends. And he's like, okay,
- 17:54Speaker 2: it's not for me, Like nothing is for me, right,
- 17:59Speaker 2: I get it. I why under the other to say
- 18:04Speaker 2: that imperson going to be a welcome to the world
- 18:09Speaker 2: like a baby boy being born. Edward, he didn't think
- 18:12Speaker 2: this party was for him.
- 18:13Speaker 1: I think we don't know of earlier she said like, yeah,
- 18:15Speaker 1: it's a party for you to meet my friends. But
- 18:17Speaker 1: then she walk up and like, don't worry. People don't
- 18:21Speaker 1: really want to talk to you at all.
- 18:23Speaker 2: No, you're just arm candy for me to look good.
- 18:27Speaker 2: So I just want you to mingle. But you know,
- 18:31Speaker 2: don't make every conversation about baseball like you like to do.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Ask them questions to show that you're interested in them,
- 18:41Speaker 2: kind of like I never do with you. So the
- 18:45Speaker 2: way I converse with you do the opposite, show that
- 18:49Speaker 2: you care about the other person, like treating teaching him
- 18:54Speaker 2: how to have a conversation. This man works in hospitality, right,
- 18:58Speaker 2: he knows how to talk to people.
- 19:00Speaker 1: I think he does a great job at this party
- 19:02Speaker 1: blending in and just chatting with people as anybody would
- 19:05Speaker 1: at a cocktail party exactly.
- 19:07Speaker 2: So everyone welcomes Edward nicely. They ask him how it's
- 19:11Speaker 2: going in America. He says it's good. They ask him
- 19:14Speaker 2: who cooks, and he says she does, And I was like,
- 19:18Speaker 2: she doesn't let him touch the kitchen. Let's be real,
- 19:21Speaker 2: she's Worri's gonna burn down the house. And he had
- 19:24Speaker 2: to ask.
- 19:24Speaker 1: The correct way to cut up potato for fear exactly.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, length wise, horizontal, vertical? Which way? Yeah? So
- 19:33Speaker 2: I did think a guy called him Edwin, but I
- 19:36Speaker 2: would Okay, I put.
- 19:39Speaker 1: It on the screen so you can see called him Edwin. Yes.
- 19:43Speaker 2: So they ask him what he's going to do for
- 19:45Speaker 2: a job, and he says, I've been thinking about ideas.
- 19:47Speaker 2: And they're like, like, what, just you know, pondering some ideas,
- 19:52Speaker 2: what such as? And he says, well, I like baseball,
- 19:56Speaker 2: Like I know all about baseball. It's the biggest sport
- 19:58Speaker 2: where I come from. And you think he's going to
- 20:02Speaker 2: launch into baseball. But then he asked them what they
- 20:05Speaker 2: do because she trained him well, and he's like, what
- 20:07Speaker 2: do you do for a living? They were in insurance
- 20:11Speaker 2: and finance, and he thinks, Wow, these are the people
- 20:13Speaker 2: I would serve in the hotel in my country, and
- 20:15Speaker 2: now I'm hanging out with them. This is crazy.
- 20:18Speaker 1: And I'm looking to see if blue Bell and Bluebell,
- 20:20Speaker 1: Pennsylvania has any kind of baseball team, like a minor
- 20:24Speaker 1: league team.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Right right?
- 20:26Speaker 1: The answer is no, no little Look, yeah, they've got
- 20:30Speaker 1: Little league and they've got you know, you know, community leagues,
- 20:35Speaker 1: but they don't think and maybe they have like a
- 20:36Speaker 1: farm team like the trash in Yeahnceville.
- 20:39Speaker 2: But no, okay, So there they say. She comes over,
- 20:47Speaker 2: she's she's talking to her friends, and she goes, I'm
- 20:49Speaker 2: gonna just sneak over and just make sure he's not
- 20:52Speaker 2: only talking about baseball, because he only talks about baseball.
- 20:56Speaker 2: And she goes over and they are talking about baseball,
- 20:59Speaker 2: but people seem to be enjoying the conversation. And they
- 21:03Speaker 2: She's like, what were you guys talking about? Did he
- 21:05Speaker 2: say anything embarrassing? And they're like, well, we were just
- 21:08Speaker 2: talking about cooking. He likes your meat. He likes your meat, Marissa,
- 21:12Speaker 2: And they keep making that joke. And he says he
- 21:15Speaker 2: might be interested in coaching baseball or opening a facility,
- 21:18Speaker 2: and you see her face get like really tense. She's like,
- 21:23Speaker 2: that's not happening. Did you see what he did to
- 21:25Speaker 2: my fence? So they're like reporting to a boss how
- 21:30Speaker 2: her employer talked about her in like an interview. It's
- 21:34Speaker 2: very much like the boss is coming over, how did
- 21:37Speaker 2: he do in his interview?
- 21:39Speaker 1: Yeah, Are you guys embarrassed that I'm with him? Are
- 21:42Speaker 1: you guys aided that he's speaking? Yes?
- 21:46Speaker 2: So then later on in the night, Edward is telling
- 21:49Speaker 2: a woman how nice everyone is being to him, and
- 21:52Speaker 2: he's enjoying himself. Marissa and her friends talk about the
- 21:56Speaker 2: next girl's trip and how Edward won't be allowed to go,
- 21:59Speaker 2: and and another woman, one of the women says, are
- 22:02Speaker 2: you anxious about him talking to the other guys here
- 22:05Speaker 2: who have like big professions, And Marissa says, yeah, I
- 22:11Speaker 2: worry what he's talking about. I don't want to say
- 22:13Speaker 2: he's naive or not cultured, bitch, but it just gets worse,
- 22:20Speaker 2: It gets so much worse. But I have a hard
- 22:23Speaker 2: time with him matching me intellectually, and like, will I
- 22:27Speaker 2: ever feel he's my intellectual match or will I be
- 22:31Speaker 2: intellectually stimulated? And will he be helping me grow? He's what?
- 22:40Speaker 2: I have no words, So she says, my friends are sophisticated,
- 22:45Speaker 2: and my relationship with Edward is not based on intellect.
- 22:49Speaker 2: It was based on a physical attraction, and I'm worried
- 22:53Speaker 2: that we aren't going to meet on an intellectual level. Bitch,
- 22:57Speaker 2: you sell wedding dresses you are not a physicist.
- 23:01Speaker 1: I'm just I'm literally just trying to think, like, okay,
- 23:04Speaker 1: like I've been married now almost twenty six years. I'm
- 23:06Speaker 1: trying to think about what intellectual conversations my husband and
- 23:10Speaker 1: I have now. We talk about things life and bills
- 23:17Speaker 1: and how we brace our children and the grateful dead,
- 23:20Speaker 1: and I mean, you know what I mean. But we're
- 23:22Speaker 1: not like sitting around going let's contemplate the meaning of life?
- 23:25Speaker 1: And who do you think you know? With the first
- 23:27Speaker 1: star when it bursts? What kind of galaxy did it form?
- 23:30Speaker 1: I mean, we're not having these kind of conversations.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Yeah, what does she talk about philosophy, Let's talk about Nietzche,
- 23:37Speaker 2: Let's talk about politics, let's talk about No, they're going
- 23:40Speaker 2: to be talking about the kids and money, every day life,
- 23:45Speaker 2: every day life. So Marisa says, the one thing Edward has,
- 23:52Speaker 2: the one thing Edward has is that he's a nicer
- 23:57Speaker 2: person than I am, and I'm learning that from him.
- 24:00Speaker 2: And the friend says that's huge, that's great, and she's like, yeah,
- 24:04Speaker 2: I need to be reminded of that. He is the
- 24:06Speaker 2: nicest person. He worships me, and that's what most women want.
- 24:10Speaker 2: But I'm over here wanting something else that my mind
- 24:13Speaker 2: is craving.
- 24:14Speaker 1: She's just so full of shit. Join a book club,
- 24:21Speaker 1: nailed it. Join a book club where you're going to
- 24:23Speaker 1: read the latest Elan Hildebrand book and it's not going
- 24:26Speaker 1: to be that deep anyway.
- 24:28Speaker 2: Exactly. So the friend says, well, the grass is always greener.
- 24:32Speaker 2: If he did give you what you want, you might
- 24:34Speaker 2: be exhausted, Like seriously, Imagine you've just come home from
- 24:38Speaker 2: working in the city and your partner is like, Okay,
- 24:41Speaker 2: I have this new philosophical article I want you to
- 24:44Speaker 2: read and we can talk about the meaning of life. No, no,
- 24:49Speaker 2: I want to watch ninety Fiance any Chinese food. So
- 24:53Speaker 2: Marissa wonders, will he ever be the sophisticated person that
- 24:58Speaker 2: I can bring to a black tie event or like
- 25:01Speaker 2: a rodeo? What, ma'am, what what are you talking about? What?
- 25:11Speaker 1: I think he would be just fine at a black
- 25:13Speaker 1: tie event. He is perfectly able of having conversations with
- 25:17Speaker 1: all kinds of people. Yeah, So what has led her
- 25:20Speaker 1: to believe that when he gets in public he doesn't
- 25:23Speaker 1: know how to act?
- 25:24Speaker 2: Does she think he's going to rip off his shirt
- 25:27Speaker 2: and start fingering his belly button and asking the other
- 25:31Speaker 2: men to smell it. What do you think he's gonna do?
- 25:36Speaker 1: Gross? I don't know.
- 25:38Speaker 2: We haven't even seen him burp or fart or anything.
- 25:41Speaker 2: He's been perfectly fine.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know what she's talking about.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Now at a rodeo, he might be a little confused,
- 25:49Speaker 2: but I don't think he'd embarrass himself.
- 25:51Speaker 1: He'd be fascinated probably, Yeah, yeah.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Also, what issticated about a rodeo? What is she talking
- 25:59Speaker 2: about that?
- 26:00Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Does she know what sophisticated means? I don't think she
- 26:03Speaker 2: knows it intellectually or sophisticated means. So Marissa tells us
- 26:09Speaker 2: Edward hasn't been exposed to a lot of things that
- 26:12Speaker 2: I do in my normal life, so I'm a little
- 26:14Speaker 2: concerned about his ability to adapt to social standards again,
- 26:21Speaker 2: like he's going to hawk up a loogie and hand
- 26:25Speaker 2: it to a fellow man and say, will you sellow
- 26:28Speaker 2: you guys. I don't even know what she thinks he's
- 26:30Speaker 2: going to do. I can't even comprehend. Well, like she
- 26:34Speaker 2: has hostility.
- 26:35Speaker 1: She hasn't posted since that, She hasn't posted since the episodica.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Yes, she knows how she didn't realize how bad it
- 26:41Speaker 2: was because she was a little tipsy and she didn't realize.
- 26:44Speaker 2: I think so social standards. He again, works in hospitality,
- 26:50Speaker 2: he knows about social standards. Yeah, so she goes in
- 26:57Speaker 2: my friend group. There are a bunch of successful women
- 27:00Speaker 2: and men, and we talk about sophisticated things. And I
- 27:04Speaker 2: think Edward struggles with that sometimes, not because he's a
- 27:07Speaker 2: stupid person, but because he's not exposed to that because
- 27:12Speaker 2: people in the dr are dumb and they don't talk
- 27:14Speaker 2: about smart things. I guess. So the friend says, well,
- 27:18Speaker 2: he's very kind, but you're a driven person, and I
- 27:22Speaker 2: do wonder will he be good enough for you? And
- 27:25Speaker 2: that's where the friend lost me because I was like,
- 27:27Speaker 2: you just said he's kind. So for some people, the
- 27:30Speaker 2: definition of being good enough is like they're kind, they're
- 27:34Speaker 2: good like you would want your children to come home
- 27:37Speaker 2: with a partner that is kind, right, yes, So that
- 27:42Speaker 2: makes him good enough And for them it's all about
- 27:44Speaker 2: how much he MIxS essentially, so because she wouldn't worry
- 27:49Speaker 2: about sophistication if he was rich.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Like rich people can be the grossest at all.
- 27:56Speaker 2: Exactly, you know, So Marisa says, I'm told because he
- 28:00Speaker 2: treats me better than anyone ever could. So I'm torn
- 28:04Speaker 2: to pieces. You just said he will treat me better
- 28:08Speaker 2: than anyone ever will, and I'm torn.
- 28:13Speaker 1: Later, she says she loves him more than she's ever
- 28:15Speaker 1: loved anyone.
- 28:17Speaker 2: What the why are you torn? Then? So her friend
- 28:20Speaker 2: says she's so successful and business minded and sure he's nice,
- 28:25Speaker 2: but will he live up to her expectations?
- 28:28Speaker 1: Like that?
- 28:30Speaker 2: I was like, god, I was really rooting for that friend.
- 28:34Speaker 2: And then it was like, sure he's nice, Like that
- 28:37Speaker 2: doesn't mean anything. And Marisa says, I'm just being so
- 28:40Speaker 2: harsh with him every day. And her friend says, You're
- 28:43Speaker 2: not this mean. This is not you. You're being very degrading
- 28:47Speaker 2: to yourself right now. Marissa, it's hard to listen to
- 28:50Speaker 2: you are so real. You're so real. We love that
- 28:53Speaker 2: about you. It's like, what about Marissa is so real? Okay,
- 28:57Speaker 2: that was weird.
- 28:58Speaker 1: That was weird.
- 28:59Speaker 2: They were all like kiss up to her, and She's like,
- 29:01Speaker 2: I'm losing who I am. I'm so frustrated and impatient
- 29:04Speaker 2: and angry every day. Why am I being so mean
- 29:08Speaker 2: to a person who is so kind to me? It
- 29:10Speaker 2: makes me feel evil, and I don't want to feel
- 29:13Speaker 2: this way. And she says, you will your partner bring
- 29:16Speaker 2: out your best, that's what you think about. And right
- 29:19Speaker 2: now I'm not my best. And he used to bring
- 29:22Speaker 2: out my best when we were on vacation together, but
- 29:26Speaker 2: now I'm the opposite. And am I always going to
- 29:29Speaker 2: be this way around him? I don't want to be
- 29:31Speaker 2: mean for the rest of my life. I don't want
- 29:34Speaker 2: to be in a relationship that makes me be not
- 29:36Speaker 2: who I am. So get way to shift the blame
- 29:39Speaker 2: to it's his fault.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Yep, yep.
- 29:42Speaker 2: That she is being a bitch. I know we say
- 29:46Speaker 2: no woman ever drew herself crazy per Ronnie on WATCHO Crappen's.
- 29:50Speaker 2: But she is the reason. She's being a bitch.
- 29:53Speaker 1: She's trying herself crazy. She is driving, she is got
- 29:56Speaker 1: herself spun up into this cycle of and I think
- 29:59Speaker 1: when her friend says here, her friend says, you're so
- 30:02Speaker 1: worried about what people think, I think that's the issue.
- 30:05Speaker 1: The issue is she is worried about what other people think.
- 30:08Speaker 1: So she's worried at this party. Her neighborhood friends will think, like,
- 30:12Speaker 1: what has she done? She's with this guy that's lesser
- 30:15Speaker 1: than that's the issue. She worries about what all of them.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Think and it's making her spiral. And then she lashes
- 30:22Speaker 2: out at him. Yeah he's not doing anything to warrant
- 30:25Speaker 2: this behavior.
- 30:26Speaker 1: He's acting normal a lot of cocktail parties.
- 30:28Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, so she says, I everyone questioned this relationship,
- 30:35Speaker 2: and I don't want to have to say they were right.
- 30:38Speaker 2: And that's another she doesn't want people say I told
- 30:41Speaker 2: you so. And the friends are like, you shouldn't be
- 30:43Speaker 2: worried what other people think except all of us, because
- 30:46Speaker 2: that's what we do here.
- 30:47Speaker 1: So yeah, that when the friend said, you're I think
- 30:51Speaker 1: you're worried about what other people think, I was like,
- 30:52Speaker 1: I think that's the root of the point here, is
- 30:55Speaker 1: that she is trying to like make sure her neighbors
- 30:58Speaker 1: all think she's a certain level. Yeah, and that is
- 31:01Speaker 1: she bringing herself down by the way she currently like
- 31:05Speaker 1: owns a bar three studio and yeah, all's all together.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean she's it's all her self consciousness and
- 31:13Speaker 2: her values of what she thinks matters, and it's all
- 31:16Speaker 2: about what people think, which is like, she's in her forties,
- 31:19Speaker 2: stop caring what people think. In your like weird neighborhood
- 31:25Speaker 2: that it's like, it's so it's like keeping up with
- 31:29Speaker 2: the Joneses.
- 31:30Speaker 1: Right, but the ft but the guys seemed all completely like, hey, bro,
- 31:34Speaker 1: what's up? You want to talk about it?
- 31:36Speaker 2: All?
- 31:36Speaker 1: They all seemed to judging him for.
- 31:39Speaker 2: What, you know, they were perfectly fine.
- 31:41Speaker 1: They knew he just got there and didn't have a
- 31:43Speaker 1: job yet. So I mean, yeah, yeah.
- 31:45Speaker 2: And I and I just really don't like how she
- 31:47Speaker 2: keeps being like, well, he the relationship is not bringing
- 31:51Speaker 2: out the best He used to bring out the best
- 31:53Speaker 2: of me, Like, it's his job to make you a
- 31:55Speaker 2: grown woman, be a better person, And how are you
- 31:59Speaker 2: making him better? She never worries about that. That's like
- 32:03Speaker 2: she just assumes by bringing him here she is making
- 32:06Speaker 2: him better and letting him live in a big house.
- 32:10Speaker 2: But it's his job to make her a better person.
- 32:16Speaker 1: When yeah, okay, Asha and Maxwell six days to wed
- 32:26Speaker 1: The wedding is the past day, so Asha goes in
- 32:30Speaker 1: to talk to her future mother in law Maria. She
- 32:33Speaker 1: gives her a purse they bought at the market and
- 32:35Speaker 1: some caftans that she said she brought from home, and
- 32:40Speaker 1: in her talking to her, she says, my age should
- 32:42Speaker 1: not matter, and we have less than a week to
- 32:44Speaker 1: get on one accord before the wedding day. Now I
- 32:47Speaker 1: looked that up because I was like, is that the
- 32:48Speaker 1: correct usage of that of one accord? Either way, it
- 32:54Speaker 1: was not a phrase that I have not heard. I've
- 32:56Speaker 1: never heard this phrase, so I looked it up. I
- 32:58Speaker 1: was like, you're gonna get into your record like the car,
- 33:01Speaker 1: she doesn't drive it a cord. Not absolutely not. So
- 33:05Speaker 1: Asha talks to Maria and the Maria says, listen, I
- 33:11Speaker 1: was concerned because you need to be happy with Maxwell
- 33:15Speaker 1: and the way he looks because God created Maxwell. You
- 33:18Speaker 1: want to change his eyeball, you want to fix his face,
- 33:21Speaker 1: and when he comes back from the United States, I
- 33:23Speaker 1: won't recognize him. And you have no right to change
- 33:25Speaker 1: him because God made his body. His body in his face,
- 33:28Speaker 1: or the temple that God made. And then she goes
- 33:31Speaker 1: mm hmm. Now if there are cracks in the step
- 33:36Speaker 1: at the temple, you have to fix those steps.
- 33:39Speaker 2: That was good.
- 33:40Speaker 1: That was good, And she goes no, and she goes,
- 33:42Speaker 1: now something brakes in your house, like the air conditioner.
- 33:45Speaker 1: Something you have to fix it. And she goes, no,
- 33:47Speaker 1: it's not the same. And she goes, now, what if
- 33:50Speaker 1: you sometimes you get a new furniture in your house,
- 33:51Speaker 1: or like a new rug, And.
- 33:52Speaker 2: She's like you to switch to a different tech. Go
- 33:56Speaker 2: switch to a person. Do you dwe your hair, Mama? Yeah,
- 34:00Speaker 2: because you want to change your hair color?
- 34:02Speaker 1: Yeah, And and she goes, now, you know those skin
- 34:06Speaker 1: treatments have helped him. Now you know it has helped
- 34:08Speaker 1: with his acne. And Maria says, my husband used to
- 34:12Speaker 1: have this. He used to have the skin pimples all over.
- 34:14Speaker 1: But once I started having children, all his acne went away.
- 34:20Speaker 1: And she goes and she goes, Okay, so I'm going
- 34:24Speaker 1: about this all wrong. It's all about me having children.
- 34:26Speaker 1: Me having children clear up his skin is so funny
- 34:32Speaker 1: and her, she says, this woman has lost her mind.
- 34:35Speaker 1: She is true, and she said anything having children will
- 34:37Speaker 1: make your skin break out more. And Maria says, well,
- 34:41Speaker 1: and I have to tell you I didn't think he
- 34:43Speaker 1: should marry someone so old, but I've decided to love
- 34:48Speaker 1: his love. And I'm backing you in prayer, and I
- 34:52Speaker 1: know you will be blessed with four children, two boys,
- 34:54Speaker 1: two girls. And every time she says two boys, two
- 34:57Speaker 1: girls as she goes a one girl it one girl,
- 35:00Speaker 1: and she talks over her and they go back and
- 35:02Speaker 1: forth on it. It was pretty funny. Yeah, it was
- 35:05Speaker 1: pretty funny. And Asia says, his mother is cuckoo. Do
- 35:09Speaker 1: think I'm pushing out four children? You know? So does
- 35:12Speaker 1: she know my age?
- 35:14Speaker 2: Does she know? I am the age of Dame Judy
- 35:16Speaker 2: Dench over here and I cannot have that many children.
- 35:21Speaker 1: Judy did still with us?
- 35:23Speaker 2: I don't know, Okay, So I'm going to look it up. Okay.
- 35:28Speaker 1: So Asha and Maxwell talk about the wedding and they're like,
- 35:32Speaker 1: the way Judy did, she's still with us.
- 35:35Speaker 2: Okay, ninety one years old, God bless.
- 35:40Speaker 1: I was thinking about the other dame that died that
- 35:42Speaker 1: was in Dunton Abbey.
- 35:44Speaker 2: Oh yes, Maggie Smith.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Maggie Smith. So they say the wedding will be small
- 35:50Speaker 1: and then they'll have a bigger one in the United States.
- 35:52Speaker 1: But they got to get everybody over here for the wedding.
- 35:54Speaker 1: I was like, then, it's not going to be small
- 35:55Speaker 1: if you're flying all these people over here.
- 35:58Speaker 2: No, just have them wait for the in the United States.
- 36:01Speaker 1: She's gonna get her sisters and of course her godbrother Rod.
- 36:05Speaker 1: You know she's gonna call Rod to get Rod to help,
- 36:08Speaker 1: and I was like, six days to fly to Africa.
- 36:12Speaker 1: You're not giving them much heads up and for to.
- 36:13Speaker 2: Believe do these people not have jobs?
- 36:16Speaker 1: Do they have current passports?
- 36:18Speaker 3: Like?
- 36:18Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a pretty long way to go. So she
- 36:22Speaker 1: calls Rod and says, Rod, guess what we've decided. Since
- 36:25Speaker 1: I'm here, we're gonna go ahead and do the spouse
- 36:27Speaker 1: of visa. And he goes, what does that mean? She goes,
- 36:29Speaker 1: I'm gonna go ahead and get married while I'm here.
- 36:31Speaker 1: It didn't make this to go all the way back
- 36:33Speaker 1: home and come all the way back. And he says, bitch,
- 36:36Speaker 1: you crazy, And I love that because he didn't. He
- 36:40Speaker 1: like took all his glasses and he was like, he says,
- 36:43Speaker 1: you lost it. This is some scamming going on. This
- 36:46Speaker 1: is not what you signed up for. You practiced abstinence
- 36:49Speaker 1: all these years. Now what are we really are we
- 36:54Speaker 1: to believe she's a virgin or she's just been abstinent
- 36:56Speaker 1: for X amount of years?
- 36:59Speaker 2: I don't know. I remember Maxwell trying to get it
- 37:02Speaker 2: in mean second that she landed interesting.
- 37:05Speaker 1: He said, you practice absence for all these years for
- 37:08Speaker 1: someone who is not even your caliber. And she says
- 37:12Speaker 1: that's disrespectful. And he says, are you pregnant or something?
- 37:16Speaker 1: Fake out? Fake out again, and she goes, now, you
- 37:20Speaker 1: know I'm not pregnant. So she goes, now, you're gonna
- 37:23Speaker 1: have to help my sisters get over here because they're
- 37:25Speaker 1: not used to flying, especially they've got now five days
- 37:28Speaker 1: notice to get Africa. And Rod is like, I cannot
- 37:33Speaker 1: believe you were doing this. This man has nothing.
- 37:35Speaker 2: He has nothing, Okay, rude.
- 37:38Speaker 1: Now she did a post saying that he has two
- 37:41Speaker 1: master's degrees and everybody in his family has at least
- 37:44Speaker 1: a master's and some have doctorates. Okay, he comes from
- 37:49Speaker 1: a very well established family according to the post she did.
- 37:53Speaker 2: M So does Rod just not have the four to
- 37:57Speaker 2: one one on what's happening?
- 37:59Speaker 1: I think that's right.
- 38:00Speaker 2: I think she's Yeah, he's making a lot of assumptions.
- 38:03Speaker 1: I think he is, and we don't want to know.
- 38:06Speaker 1: Now we're going to go on to another pretty tragic story.
- 38:11Speaker 1: This is a really good episode, which is Katie and
- 38:15Speaker 1: Josh and oh God. A listener Chris, who sends me
- 38:19Speaker 1: so much information, sent me a picture of a comparison
- 38:23Speaker 1: between Katie's mother and Melissa McCarthy from Brice Mains and
- 38:32Speaker 1: I died. I died.
- 38:35Speaker 2: She was like, does that not look like oh yeah
- 38:38Speaker 2: in that picture?
- 38:39Speaker 1: Yes, I mean I was laughing so hard. I was like,
- 38:42Speaker 1: because I took pictures of her too. I mean, she's
- 38:46Speaker 1: not wrong, she's not wrong. Similar, hilarious.
- 38:50Speaker 2: Okay, continue, Okay, So there, this is just this is
- 38:54Speaker 2: the episode we learned that Katie's entire family hates her.
- 38:58Speaker 2: And it's not just us, it's not as folks. We're
- 39:01Speaker 2: in this together with this old family.
- 39:03Speaker 1: This was hard. Hard.
- 39:06Speaker 2: My dad wasn't seeing it, and I was like, read
- 39:08Speaker 2: between the lines of what the mom is saying. This
- 39:11Speaker 2: is what the mom is saying on TV about her
- 39:14Speaker 2: own daughter. Yeah, and Chad, her church going lady.
- 39:19Speaker 1: It's bad.
- 39:19Speaker 2: Although they can be the most judgy, but so they
- 39:24Speaker 2: Katie and Josh are going to Easter with her family
- 39:26Speaker 2: in California. She's telling him about how they had how
- 39:29Speaker 2: they celebrated Easter and how they also had chickens and
- 39:33Speaker 2: they had a bad chicken who would attack them, and
- 39:35Speaker 2: then her dad would kill the chicken who was attacking them,
- 39:38Speaker 2: and the other chickens somewhere Breakingne was just sobbing. Yeah,
- 39:45Speaker 2: I guess you got to weed out and start over.
- 39:48Speaker 2: Renee horror. Renee is sobbing in the corner.
- 39:52Speaker 1: I hated the show. So he's going to.
- 39:55Speaker 2: Cook some British stuff for her family and he's like,
- 39:58Speaker 2: I am going to cook sausage. I have to practice
- 40:01Speaker 2: how to say it sausage. How do you say it,
- 40:03Speaker 2: sausage roll? He sounds like a robot, sausage roll, sausage rolls,
- 40:09Speaker 2: I say it?
- 40:09Speaker 1: Why does he have to learn to say it? What?
- 40:12Speaker 2: Just say it normally they can understand you. So he says,
- 40:15Speaker 2: I'm still trying to understand religion in America and I
- 40:20Speaker 2: don't want to say the wrong thing in front of
- 40:22Speaker 2: her family. And she's like, well, we're Lutheran and he says, yeah,
- 40:26Speaker 2: I guess I'm not religious at all. So and she says,
- 40:29Speaker 2: so you'd never want to go to church with me?
- 40:32Speaker 2: And he said, well, if I don't, is that a
- 40:34Speaker 2: deal breaker? And she says, yeah, it is a deal breaker.
- 40:37Speaker 2: And I was like, bitch, does your church know what
- 40:39Speaker 2: you're doing with your tongue? Every day? But Sunday probably
- 40:43Speaker 2: after church on Sunday as well.
- 40:45Speaker 1: Has he ever seen or go to church or known
- 40:48Speaker 1: that this was a huge bona contention for her?
- 40:51Speaker 2: Has she mentioned it even once ever? Right? So he
- 40:55Speaker 2: says he's more agnostic, and she's like, well, my mom
- 40:58Speaker 2: read the whole Bible. He goes, wow, and I was like,
- 41:02Speaker 2: I thought a lot of people have. I think if
- 41:04Speaker 2: you've gone to church your whole life, you've eventually read
- 41:06Speaker 2: the whole Bible. So the mom would want her if
- 41:11Speaker 2: they have children, Dear God help us, all the grandchildren
- 41:17Speaker 2: should be raised Lutheran. And Josh says, well, what if
- 41:20Speaker 2: I didn't want that to be And Katie says, well,
- 41:24Speaker 2: that would be bad. I think it might be a
- 41:26Speaker 2: deal breaker. And he says, well, it's like, you don't
- 41:29Speaker 2: go to church, so I don't really know what it
- 41:31Speaker 2: means for you to be religion religious because yeah, exactly.
- 41:37Speaker 2: And he says, I would not want my children to
- 41:40Speaker 2: be indoctrinated into something and have something pushed on them
- 41:44Speaker 2: so that they can make up their own minds. And
- 41:46Speaker 2: she's like, well, I think it's important for them to
- 41:49Speaker 2: be baptized in the Lutheran Church and to have the
- 41:51Speaker 2: Lutheran Church pushed on them, which is the exact opposite
- 41:55Speaker 2: of what he said.
- 41:56Speaker 1: And alway, if she doesn't go to church now, she's
- 41:59Speaker 1: not gonna sudden become a churchgoer. So he doesn't need
- 42:01Speaker 1: to worry about this. Yeah, just get to baptize. She's
- 42:04Speaker 1: never going to try to go to church. She's going
- 42:05Speaker 1: to be too hungover.
- 42:07Speaker 2: Exactly. Also, she had the Lutheran church pushed on her.
- 42:11Speaker 2: It worked out so great. She is not a ringing
- 42:15Speaker 2: endorsement for religion, let's just put it that way. So
- 42:20Speaker 2: she tells him, well, if you change your mind and
- 42:23Speaker 2: you won't do it, Lutherans do believe in divorce, and
- 42:26Speaker 2: he's like, okay, Like that's a threat, You're God, get
- 42:31Speaker 2: me out of this. She wants him to leave. She
- 42:35Speaker 2: keeps throwing up all these roadblocks because she doesn't want
- 42:39Speaker 2: to get married, but she doesn't want to be the
- 42:41Speaker 2: one to end it. She wants him to break up
- 42:42Speaker 2: with her, so she keeps being as difficult as possible.
- 42:46Speaker 2: So then they're running late for the airport. He really
- 42:49Speaker 2: wants to be on time. He's a very nervous flyer.
- 42:51Speaker 2: He wants to get there like six hours early to
- 42:53Speaker 2: the airport, and she is taking her sweet time, and
- 42:57Speaker 2: he says, she keeps promising she'll be better, but she
- 43:00Speaker 2: isn't improving her behavior. So it's like, why am I here?
- 43:04Speaker 2: If we all are wondering that, did.
- 43:06Speaker 1: We get how early he was trying to be to
- 43:09Speaker 1: the airport?
- 43:10Speaker 2: Honestly, she said it was an hour earlier than she
- 43:13Speaker 2: would have liked to be there. She said, we're going
- 43:15Speaker 2: to have to be there like two hours waiting or something.
- 43:18Speaker 2: So it was just a couple hours, okay, so it
- 43:21Speaker 2: seemed fairly reasonable. It wasn't like, you know, five am
- 43:27Speaker 2: for a five pm flight, It didn't seem like that.
- 43:30Speaker 1: It just seemed like they tell you get their X
- 43:32Speaker 1: amount of time. And he's trying to really follow that
- 43:34Speaker 1: rule and she's like, yeah, sometimes I just wing it.
- 43:36Speaker 2: And exactly because that's how she lives her life. So
- 43:41Speaker 2: she so finally he just leaves. He's like, I'll meet
- 43:44Speaker 2: you at the train station because I can't. I'm nervous.
- 43:47Speaker 2: I'm going to get a donut and I'm leaving, and
- 43:51Speaker 2: she tells us Josh is being so annoying about timing,
- 43:54Speaker 2: like we're super early? Why is he rushing me? And
- 43:57Speaker 2: I'm being bitchy today? But it's my own. And he's
- 44:02Speaker 2: being bitchy too though, so we're both being bitchy. So
- 44:07Speaker 2: at the airport, she tells him, I was really annoyed
- 44:09Speaker 2: with you for rushing me, and he said, you know
- 44:12Speaker 2: what today has been all about you. You decided when
- 44:15Speaker 2: you woke up you were in a mood today, and
- 44:17Speaker 2: then I just have to follow your emotions all day
- 44:20Speaker 2: and it's not fair. And why can't you understand that
- 44:24Speaker 2: there needs to be space for me in a relationship
- 44:27Speaker 2: there's two people. And also he looks terrible, like how
- 44:33Speaker 2: I said she looked when she was hungover going on
- 44:36Speaker 2: that run last time. He has bags under his eyes.
- 44:40Speaker 2: It is like she is a sucubist who is sucking
- 44:43Speaker 2: the life and joy out of his body like a
- 44:46Speaker 2: dementor from Harry Potter. Give the man some chocolate. It
- 44:50Speaker 2: is he has never looked rougher.
- 44:53Speaker 1: I think. Also he really hates travel and flying, and
- 44:57Speaker 1: so probably he's worked himself into a frenzy and didn't
- 44:59Speaker 1: sleep well. We don't know if they've gotten a double
- 45:01Speaker 1: bed yet or if they're still sleeping in that stained twin.
- 45:05Speaker 2: Did they get a sound machine to cover the sound
- 45:07Speaker 2: of that garage? Oh god. So she apologizes and he
- 45:13Speaker 2: thinks she's just apologizing to shut him up, which yes,
- 45:17Speaker 2: and he's like, I don't want to plan a wedding
- 45:19Speaker 2: when we're dealing with this dumb shit. That's like dumb,
- 45:23Speaker 2: these dumb issues like her not respecting me. He didn't
- 45:28Speaker 2: say that, but I'm saying that, So it's not dumb stuff.
- 45:32Speaker 2: It's very big stuff. So they arrive and they're both
- 45:36Speaker 2: in better moods when they land, and they apologize to
- 45:40Speaker 2: each other, and she tells him, you know you're gonna
- 45:44Speaker 2: see my family home. As a kid, I was really bossy. Shocker.
- 45:49Speaker 2: Everyone in my family is really chill and I'm the
- 45:51Speaker 2: wild one. They're rule followers. It's horrible. And he says
- 45:56Speaker 2: it sounds great.
- 45:57Speaker 1: Do we think that he's met her family before?
- 46:00Speaker 2: It did? Yes, because he had met before, right. He
- 46:04Speaker 2: says like, good to see you, yeah, but that could
- 46:06Speaker 2: be just britishy and not good. He didn't say good
- 46:09Speaker 2: to meet you, so I don't know.
- 46:11Speaker 1: It didn't seem uncomfortable, like because the dad was like,
- 46:14Speaker 1: I'll put you in your regular room, right, So it
- 46:18Speaker 1: seems like he's definitely met them before, maybe just not
- 46:20Speaker 1: at that house. Yeah, maybe they think that's it over
- 46:23Speaker 1: there or something.
- 46:24Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. So they go to the parents. She gives
- 46:28Speaker 2: the most awkward hug to her dad. It was like
- 46:30Speaker 2: a it's very strange. Josh gave him a better hug.
- 46:38Speaker 2: I felt like. So they the parents say, we've missed
- 46:41Speaker 2: seeing her while she was, you know, traveling around Europe.
- 46:44Speaker 2: We love having her here. For the first two or
- 46:48Speaker 2: three days, then you get tired and you just want
- 46:52Speaker 2: to sit and watch TV.
- 46:55Speaker 1: But that's any guess right, I.
- 46:57Speaker 2: Guess fair enough. I don't know. My parents would probably
- 47:02Speaker 2: say we would want you to stay forever, Like even
- 47:05Speaker 2: if I'm being a bitch. Not my parents, you know,
- 47:09Speaker 2: they're always like five days is it's enough time?
- 47:12Speaker 1: You can go. But I'll tell you interesting that my
- 47:15Speaker 1: friend Mary had both of her daughters and one lives
- 47:21Speaker 1: there once in college, and both of their boyfriends were
- 47:23Speaker 1: in town for like the fourth of July, and so
- 47:26Speaker 1: she was like, so I had like two extra people
- 47:28Speaker 1: in my house, like these two guys sleeping in the
- 47:30Speaker 1: guest room, and it was all like and so the
- 47:32Speaker 1: one boyfriend that lives in New York City, like his
- 47:35Speaker 1: train got canceled and then like his flight got canceled
- 47:37Speaker 1: because we were having that heat wave and all that stuff.
- 47:40Speaker 1: And Mary says she finally looked at a daughter and goes,
- 47:42Speaker 1: you're gonna have to drive him there, like he's got
- 47:44Speaker 1: to get out of the house. He's like he's been
- 47:48Speaker 1: here six days, like we're out of food, Like you
- 47:52Speaker 1: got to go. Yeah, so she did. She goes, I said,
- 47:55Speaker 1: here's my credit card, drive him back to New York.
- 47:58Speaker 2: That's hilarious. Okay, I get it. Uh So the parents
- 48:04Speaker 2: let them share a room, so they're not like that religious.
- 48:07Speaker 2: They did let them share a room obviously, right, Yes,
- 48:10Speaker 2: I was a little surprised. Why So Josh says, I'm
- 48:14Speaker 2: gonna unpack and then I'm gonna make the sausage rolls.
- 48:17Speaker 2: And she says, okay, I'm gonna go talk to my family.
- 48:22Speaker 2: But then she says she kind of stops and she says,
- 48:25Speaker 2: do you need anything from me?
- 48:27Speaker 1: I was shocked.
- 48:28Speaker 2: I was like, wow, that's growth good for her.
- 48:32Speaker 1: How crazy that we were both shocking those shot.
- 48:37Speaker 2: Shocked that she offered to help with something.
- 48:39Speaker 1: Yeah, that she thought of him, Uh huh, exactly, you alone,
- 48:44Speaker 1: can I help you?
- 48:44Speaker 3: Yes?
- 48:45Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, all right, that's.
- 48:46Speaker 1: Just that's just.
- 48:50Speaker 2: Uh huh. And he says a kiss would be nice
- 48:52Speaker 2: and she says, oh yeah, and she gives them a kiss.
- 48:55Speaker 1: You want one of these?
- 48:58Speaker 2: Uh So, such a weird couple. So Katie goes to
- 49:05Speaker 2: talk to her mom. She tells her mom about the
- 49:07Speaker 2: fight this morning, and unlike most mothers who would have
- 49:11Speaker 2: their daughters back, the mom immediately places all the blame
- 49:14Speaker 2: on Katie and she says, oh, well, you apologized, and
- 49:21Speaker 2: Katie's like, yeah, I apologize. She goes, Okay, that's good
- 49:23Speaker 2: because you should be nice to Josh. He deserves that.
- 49:27Speaker 2: He's a good guy and you're terrible. And the mom
- 49:32Speaker 2: tells us I hope they can make this work. Josh
- 49:34Speaker 2: is really good for her. He makes her think less
- 49:37Speaker 2: about herself and more about others, and that's a character
- 49:42Speaker 2: flaw she's had all her life.
- 49:46Speaker 1: She's a narcissist and.
- 49:49Speaker 2: See you next Tuesday.
- 49:51Speaker 1: Lig knows narcissists when we got that OCD.
- 49:54Speaker 2: Yep, I just never told her about that, but the
- 49:57Speaker 2: doctor slipped me a note as I was leaving the
- 50:00Speaker 2: office and said she's also a raging narcissist. So the
- 50:04Speaker 2: mom goes, she was super bossy as a kid and
- 50:07Speaker 2: it was annoying. She hates her child.
- 50:12Speaker 1: She is this is so rough. It's so rough. It's
- 50:17Speaker 1: it's continued.
- 50:18Speaker 2: She just called her child an annoying child on TV.
- 50:24Speaker 2: She's like, you can think that she's a lot. She goes, yeah,
- 50:29Speaker 2: she's super bossy. It was annoying, and then she says.
- 50:33Speaker 2: Katie says, I was bad at my birthday. I drank
- 50:37Speaker 2: a lot of tequila. I tried to kiss everyone, and
- 50:41Speaker 2: the mom says that makes me sad, and Katie says,
- 50:45Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 50:46Speaker 1: Katie.
- 50:47Speaker 2: She just have I'm sorry tattooed across her forehead. The
- 50:49Speaker 2: amount of time she has to apologize to people.
- 50:53Speaker 1: Her mom has been dealing with this, and her mom
- 50:55Speaker 1: obviously knows that she does this, get drunk and gets
- 50:59Speaker 1: drunk and trustics. She's obviously talked to her mom about this.
- 51:02Speaker 2: Yes, which is good. I'm glad that she has someone
- 51:05Speaker 2: to talk to.
- 51:06Speaker 1: But he didn't go what, you're engaged and you were
- 51:10Speaker 1: trying to kiss people.
- 51:12Speaker 2: Not surprised.
- 51:13Speaker 1: She was like, that makes me sad that you did that.
- 51:15Speaker 2: You know that you're still doing this ship So mom says,
- 51:19Speaker 2: you know you drink and your behavior gets obnoxious and
- 51:23Speaker 2: you're going to hurt someone some day, And Katie says, like.
- 51:28Speaker 1: Murder, kimberly, what's wrong with her? The fact that that's
- 51:36Speaker 1: the first thing she thought, That.
- 51:38Speaker 2: Is the first thing you thought of that you meant homicide.
- 51:42Speaker 2: That she didn't smile, She didn't She is that her
- 51:46Speaker 2: o c D like thinking that that's what her mom means, or.
- 51:50Speaker 1: Maybe maybe maybe she went to the worst thing.
- 51:53Speaker 2: How bad does your behavior have to be that you
- 51:56Speaker 2: think when your mom says hurt someone, you think she
- 51:59Speaker 2: means murder.
- 52:01Speaker 1: It could be the OCD just going to the worst
