- 0:01Speaker 1: What's up?
- 0:01Speaker 2: Boys, Thank you for tuning in to another episode of
- 0:05Speaker 2: our Best of the Bus series where we reflect back
- 0:08Speaker 2: on our best of episodes and on this special episode, this.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Very very special episode, the.
- 0:14Speaker 2: King himself, Derrick Henry, hopped on the bus to talk
- 0:17Speaker 2: ball with the boys all the way back in twenty
- 0:19Speaker 2: twenty two. He reflects on the Titan season, makes his
- 0:22Speaker 2: case for grassover turf, and gets into a heated sec
- 0:26Speaker 2: debate has Georgia now taken Bama's crown. We also dive
- 0:30Speaker 2: into the mental side of the game and handling the
- 0:32Speaker 2: outside noise. Long Live the King. Enjoy this throwback. This
- 0:36Speaker 2: was a banger. Big hugs, tiny kisses.
- 0:41Speaker 4: Always I'll tell you what I hate to start a
- 0:43Speaker 4: podcast off on this note. So during exit physicals the
- 0:48Speaker 4: other day, I our guys. They go in, they do
- 0:50Speaker 4: their own thing, like a week before before the Jacksonville game.
- 0:53Speaker 4: Obviously the training staff didn't have a lot of faith
- 0:55Speaker 4: in the boys. But I go in because I know
- 0:57Speaker 4: the boys are going out. There's the team meeting and
- 0:59Speaker 4: I want to be a part of it. All the
- 1:00Speaker 4: guys and Derek signing shoes, signed shoes for Ben Jones,
- 1:04Speaker 4: and I walk over maybe I can get me a
- 1:06Speaker 4: pair of them King Henry's shoes. I go up to
- 1:08Speaker 4: Derek and I'm like, hey, man, let me get a
- 1:09Speaker 4: pair of those. And he's like, looks at me.
- 1:13Speaker 3: You're on the team.
- 1:16Speaker 1: He looks a me, go.
- 1:17Speaker 4: These are for you, and he picked him and he goes,
- 1:18Speaker 4: I'll give you the white ones. These are for you
- 1:20Speaker 4: and signs them and puts to Taylor Lawan to the
- 1:23Speaker 4: Boys seventy seven, but very very strict on these are
- 1:27Speaker 4: for you. Is there like something behind that that makes
- 1:30Speaker 4: you like, I feel like you gotta make sure people
- 1:33Speaker 4: know this is for you, not for anybody else.
- 1:36Speaker 5: Oh, just send this for you. I'm signing to you, personalized,
- 1:39Speaker 5: personalize them to you. And he been a pair that
- 1:42Speaker 5: we've been teammates for the longest. Meet you and Ben.
- 1:45Speaker 5: Let's make sure that people see him, it says Taylor
- 1:49Speaker 5: the Boy seventy seven.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Do you feel like teammates have ever taken advantage of
- 1:54Speaker 2: getting King Henry memorabilia?
- 1:57Speaker 1: No?
- 1:58Speaker 5: I mean sometimes they acts more than you know, once
- 2:02Speaker 5: or twice or three times.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Yeah, everybody's all cool about it. YEA good.
- 2:07Speaker 4: How do you feel about are you like big on
- 2:10Speaker 4: with teammates you, is it anybody will just say practice
- 2:13Speaker 4: squad guy, rookie, let me get a jersey?
- 2:17Speaker 5: Are you like if I if I wrote with you
- 2:19Speaker 5: like that and you know we've been cool and you
- 2:22Speaker 5: know we put in work together, then I have no
- 2:24Speaker 5: problem no matter if you practice squad.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Yeah, you're a starter. It don't matter.
- 2:29Speaker 5: But you know, some guys kind of push the buttons
- 2:32Speaker 5: a little bit, but everything else it's pretty much cool
- 2:36Speaker 5: with some guys, you know, they want to ask.
- 2:38Speaker 2: I'd be like, uh, the opportunity for myself because I
- 2:41Speaker 2: haven't I haven't got you know, I haven't got a jersey.
- 2:44Speaker 4: You might not ever, Yeah, I know, but I do
- 2:46Speaker 4: have mine hanging up right above my cold.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Rock with I'm like, we rock together.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Once.
- 2:50Speaker 2: I was thinking I might have to. If your team
- 2:52Speaker 2: went through, you probably would have probably would have got.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Out to Atlanta over.
- 2:58Speaker 4: Yeah, that's because there are guys will I remember walking
- 3:00Speaker 4: in and dude, you know everyone's doing jerseys and sign
- 3:02Speaker 4: and stuff. Some dudes are just giving jerseys just to
- 3:04Speaker 4: give them. And I had like two or three guys
- 3:06Speaker 4: to come up to me and be like, you think
- 3:08Speaker 4: you think Derek would give me a jersey. I was like,
- 3:10Speaker 4: I don't I don't really see Derek sign really really.
- 3:15Speaker 2: This if you're asking another teammate to know of, like, hey,
- 3:18Speaker 2: you think I could ask Derek, then that should be
- 3:19Speaker 2: your answer.
- 3:20Speaker 1: That should be the answering. Feel good enough to go ask,
- 3:22Speaker 1: and that's you know, like.
- 3:24Speaker 4: I remember when you got the Russian title twenty nineteen,
- 3:28Speaker 4: the nineteen nineteen you got you give all the offensive
- 3:30Speaker 4: Linemen jerseys, and all of us kind of sat A're like, damn,
- 3:33Speaker 4: he didn't really sign stuff like that. This is a
- 3:35Speaker 4: big deal. Rollie's up for the boys?
- 3:37Speaker 1: Was it?
- 3:37Speaker 4: Fifteen sixty four, fifteen forty, fifteen forty?
- 3:41Speaker 1: What's fifteen forty?
- 3:42Speaker 4: That's somebo of the yards he rushed for and he
- 3:44Speaker 4: needed like two thirty in the last game to beat Chubb.
- 3:48Speaker 5: Yeah, but no, no, But but the jersey thing, I
- 3:50Speaker 5: just you know, I value my jersey.
- 3:52Speaker 1: I value my personal belonging. It's not just someone to
- 3:54Speaker 1: give him out to to anybody.
- 3:56Speaker 5: I feel like when you work with something so hard,
- 3:58Speaker 5: and you know, you put a lot of work here
- 4:00Speaker 5: and and it's a lot into you know, the jersey
- 4:03Speaker 5: and a lot invested that I just want to give
- 4:06Speaker 5: it out to anybody. But if we have a special
- 4:07Speaker 5: relationship and we've been rocking for a long time, then
- 4:10Speaker 5: I will have no problem.
- 4:13Speaker 3: I was like, no, I'm I'm you know, I'm scheming
- 4:15Speaker 3: in my head right now.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Yeah, you're gonna get that.
- 4:17Speaker 4: We're gonna get you that.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Jersey in due time. In due time.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Well, I'm not gonna play my hand too well.
- 4:21Speaker 5: You know what I was thinking about the other day.
- 4:24Speaker 5: Remember whenever we were the COVID year we did the bus.
- 4:27Speaker 4: Cut, Yeah, got piggy blinders, and.
- 4:31Speaker 5: They just stopped like doing photos for us, like when
- 4:34Speaker 5: we went to the plane and like, yeah, you know
- 4:37Speaker 5: you were just like tweaking out everybody's outfit. And I
- 4:40Speaker 5: was like, I would think about the other day. I
- 4:41Speaker 5: was like, damn, that was It was a crazy time, boy,
- 4:43Speaker 5: because we could get a photo.
- 4:45Speaker 1: We couldn't do nothing.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Remember because I before the flight, I went to Garrett's
- 4:49Speaker 2: house so I could get.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I know we're coming up.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Never we'll never or not the joke, but the whole
- 4:55Speaker 2: thing will never come full circle. Everyone thinks I'm just
- 4:58Speaker 2: I look absolutely, they missed.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Some legendary stuff that year. Yeah, legendary.
- 5:02Speaker 4: Yeah, the best part about that was the Titans literally
- 5:04Speaker 4: put you on the injury report actual like Twitter official
- 5:07Speaker 4: injury report for your haircut.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Like made that day a little bit easier because that
- 5:11Speaker 2: Remember we were practicing on Christmas and.
- 5:13Speaker 1: It was freezing.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Remember this, bro I was that was my first a
- 5:18Speaker 2: c l Oh yeah, I've really been around the last.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Couple of years. Bub Wow was that Houston?
- 5:24Speaker 6: Uh?
- 5:24Speaker 4: Houston Week five?
- 5:26Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, Houston? We that was? That was right before?
- 5:30Speaker 1: Wasn't it told? We were five? We beat Houston.
- 5:32Speaker 5: We were five and oh no, we beat We beat
- 5:34Speaker 5: the Bills and we played Houston that that same week.
- 5:36Speaker 1: We played on Tuesday. We played Houston that Sunday, Yes.
- 5:38Speaker 4: Because oh yeah, because all that cod shit, we legit
- 5:41Speaker 4: proved that we didn't need practice.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Anymore sponsored by Zoom sponsored. Then we played I think
- 5:46Speaker 2: we played the Stillers right after that.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I know.
- 5:49Speaker 3: That was a That was a weird and also legendary year.
- 5:53Speaker 1: That was a weird year.
- 5:54Speaker 2: We lost that first round the playoffs, which was a
- 5:56Speaker 2: fucking bummer because we dogged. Y'all dogged them, but in
- 6:00Speaker 2: the fourth quarter dog the Ravens that year. Yeah, y'all
- 6:04Speaker 2: should have beat the Ravens for real, I know, look
- 6:06Speaker 2: at us reminiscent on the old days war stories. The
- 6:09Speaker 2: boys just talking more stories to be back on the bus.
- 6:12Speaker 5: I'm hype man. How long has it been. It's been
- 6:14Speaker 5: a year and a half. I feel like it's been
- 6:16Speaker 5: to two years.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Two years.
- 6:17Speaker 4: Last time you even't been here? Have you come on here?
- 6:20Speaker 1: Not?
- 6:20Speaker 5: Not this location? It was a yearly thing us to
- 6:22Speaker 5: do it after the season. I think I did it
- 6:24Speaker 5: at the nineteen.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Yeah, but next morning he had went to uh Texas,
- 6:27Speaker 2: Texas early early quick.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:29Speaker 4: What is Dereck Henry's off season look like like? As
- 6:31Speaker 4: soon as the season ends, obviously we can get into
- 6:33Speaker 4: how the season went a little bit. But for you,
- 6:37Speaker 4: exit interviews happened two days after. What do you do
- 6:40Speaker 4: right after that?
- 6:41Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 6:41Speaker 5: Packing, getting everything ready to go to Dallas. My girl
- 6:46Speaker 5: likes to get right out of here, go back to
- 6:48Speaker 5: Dallas as quick as possible. She loves textas she's from Texas.
- 6:51Speaker 5: And then once you do that, get all the stuff
- 6:54Speaker 5: ready to get it shipped, car, ship everything, ship the dogs,
- 6:57Speaker 5: get the Texas and by that time, you know, if
- 7:01Speaker 5: I want to work out, I'll probably work out a
- 7:03Speaker 5: little bit until Pro Bowl and Super Bowl and all
- 7:06Speaker 5: those and all those things. And once I get back
- 7:08Speaker 5: from there, I think it's just going right into it.
- 7:11Speaker 5: But I mean I might, i might take trips here
- 7:13Speaker 5: and there, but I'm still gonna work out. But it's
- 7:15Speaker 5: not like working out, like going right into football training.
- 7:19Speaker 5: But it's just like working out to stay fit because
- 7:20Speaker 5: I love working out, like I like like like, I'm
- 7:23Speaker 5: gonna do that whenever I'm done playing, because I just
- 7:25Speaker 5: love working out. You know, I love being fit. This
- 7:28Speaker 5: I can't sit around just something that that I can't do.
- 7:30Speaker 5: So that's just something that I've always done, is working out,
- 7:33Speaker 5: even though I was little.
- 7:34Speaker 1: I mean, my cousin be older than me.
- 7:36Speaker 5: They'll have like weights and I'll be using them doing
- 7:38Speaker 5: push ups and then wait about two days, I want
- 7:41Speaker 5: to see my muscles gonna grow. I'm like, man, what's
- 7:43Speaker 5: going on now? Keep push ups and sit ups. But
- 7:46Speaker 5: I just love working out. That's what I've always benefactuated with.
- 7:50Speaker 1: And you know, even when I'm done now, that's what
- 7:53Speaker 1: I'll probably do is work out and be fit and
- 7:56Speaker 1: doing all that type of stuff.
- 7:57Speaker 2: When you say like when you get done and you'll
- 8:00Speaker 2: be doing something in that in the workout world, like
- 8:02Speaker 2: what does it look like?
- 8:03Speaker 1: Like what do you know what you want to do?
- 8:04Speaker 1: Or you try to be like I don't know, you're
- 8:07Speaker 1: trying to get not not like that. That's too much.
- 8:09Speaker 5: I've seen them guys, and time they get to a
- 8:12Speaker 5: certain age, they are you know, they're drained.
- 8:14Speaker 1: I ain't trying to like that.
- 8:16Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly so, but shouts out to him, no free
- 8:19Speaker 5: shoutouts Yeah, but probably I don't know. I was talking
- 8:23Speaker 5: to somebody. I might do some crows because that looks challenging,
- 8:26Speaker 5: like all that stuff and do the pull ups and
- 8:28Speaker 5: put the stuff up over the bar.
- 8:30Speaker 1: I might want to try that one day. The national level, Man,
- 8:33Speaker 1: hell no, looking crazy.
- 8:35Speaker 2: I think it was be insane if you won a
- 8:37Speaker 2: CrossFit that like the Super Bowl GAMESCT, it looks that
- 8:42Speaker 2: that looks smaller part there like hard, Yeah, bull body's
- 8:47Speaker 2: trying to be somebody like Derek comes in and wins
- 8:49Speaker 2: and it's like.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Oh fuck yeah.
- 8:51Speaker 4: People across people probably mad as hell ty like man,
- 8:53Speaker 4: he already you have the NFL.
- 8:55Speaker 2: But what But is that is there a prize of
- 8:57Speaker 2: what's the it's I think it's like, what's the worldward Prize? Yeah,
- 9:02Speaker 2: rich fronies.
- 9:02Speaker 4: But he was like our second episode ever.
- 9:06Speaker 5: You know the people who do that stuff and like,
- 9:09Speaker 5: you know, I g like that little community of fit
- 9:13Speaker 5: and CrossFit that's you know, it's real popular.
- 9:14Speaker 1: People buy into that.
- 9:15Speaker 5: Like if you have fit behind your Instagram, people just
- 9:18Speaker 5: automatically going to flock to it and follow you because
- 9:20Speaker 5: they want to see what you're doing.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly, the fitness is that in your on Instagram.
- 9:25Speaker 5: Might need to start a bust with the boys fit
- 9:27Speaker 5: in this workouts outside the bus and.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Telling you kay.
- 9:33Speaker 4: Jack twenty twenty three is a huge thing from us
- 9:35Speaker 4: right now. Report at the moment, will Will's hurting, but
- 9:39Speaker 4: the boys in the back are thriving right now, thriving.
- 9:43Speaker 1: I want to know.
- 9:43Speaker 5: I want to know what what what was? Was anything
- 9:45Speaker 5: said to you when you posted that mirror picture?
- 9:47Speaker 1: Was able?
- 9:47Speaker 5: Like it Will, it's our our guidelines went at the
- 9:53Speaker 5: Falcons just there at the mirror. I didn't know he
- 9:57Speaker 5: was a godline you had.
- 9:58Speaker 1: To follow, I think you, Bro. I was like, that
- 10:02Speaker 1: might have in facted, that might affect that years here.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Oh no, Bro, you want to know what's wild is?
- 10:09Speaker 2: I mean Arthur he was here, but Art is about
- 10:13Speaker 2: the content.
- 10:14Speaker 1: He's about busting.
- 10:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 10:15Speaker 1: It was like, you know, I can't wait till he
- 10:17Speaker 1: signed you.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Like when we fly to Washington, he goes, I want
- 10:20Speaker 2: you doing high knees on the plane, like how Russell
- 10:22Speaker 2: was doing the London. Yes, he's going to get you,
- 10:25Speaker 2: like on video doing highknees on the plane, trying to
- 10:27Speaker 2: like rally the boys. Because the first week was gonna
- 10:29Speaker 2: be Washington week. He's like, you'll be on practice swat,
- 10:31Speaker 2: but you're gonna travel and he's like, I want to
- 10:33Speaker 2: get you.
- 10:34Speaker 1: The first was Washington week. The first gonna be a
- 10:36Speaker 1: big one. Bro's gonna be a big one. Man, that's
- 10:41Speaker 1: one there.
- 10:42Speaker 4: Hey, no, that sounded pretty decent.
- 10:43Speaker 1: I thought I was gonna do it again.
- 10:45Speaker 3: But no, it wasn't like that.
- 10:46Speaker 1: It wasn't like that for you. But yeah, no, art
- 10:48Speaker 1: was about that stuff like that's hilarious. Thuff. It's like, hey,
- 10:52Speaker 1: this might impact you. Uh you playing well? You were
- 10:55Speaker 1: kind of nervous about it, right.
- 10:56Speaker 4: You were telling me that had you in the and
- 10:58Speaker 4: the tight fit and you're like, I mean, I don't
- 11:00Speaker 4: know about this. And they gave you like a little
- 11:02Speaker 4: lacrosse penny.
- 11:03Speaker 2: They gave me like a little like you know, when
- 11:04Speaker 2: of them like loose practice, jersus to cover myself over
- 11:06Speaker 2: with him, like man, they want me to get up
- 11:08Speaker 2: in this little slim stuff right here.
- 11:09Speaker 4: You know I'm not in that good a shade the way.
- 11:12Speaker 4: We're ready more weeks, Yeah, yeah, yeah, we're ready. That
- 11:14Speaker 4: whole process with you doing that is fuck wild. They
- 11:17Speaker 4: can't wait for you to write a book. Yeah, it's crazy, dude.
- 11:20Speaker 4: Speaking of other players like Russell Wilson, have you seen
- 11:22Speaker 4: this stuff with Odell Beckham Junior.
- 11:24Speaker 1: The play incident? Yes, I saw that. That's crazy. Yeah
- 11:29Speaker 1: you have you do? You know who KFC is KFC
- 11:32Speaker 1: one minute Man on barstool Yeah, he's.
- 11:34Speaker 4: Always doing like one minute rants on Barstool Sports. This
- 11:37Speaker 4: person's acting like this and he gives his opinion on
- 11:39Speaker 4: it and he just lets it live on the internet.
- 11:40Speaker 5: I might have seen something on Twitter one time, but
- 11:43Speaker 5: I haven't really not not really. I don't really know too.
- 11:45Speaker 4: He has this rant saying this is the biggest you
- 11:47Speaker 4: you've seen the video more recently?
- 11:49Speaker 1: Yeah, yah yah.
- 11:49Speaker 2: He was talking about like Odell how it seemed like
- 11:52Speaker 2: he was sleep. He was like asleep because he came
- 11:54Speaker 2: straight from the club to get on the plane after Thanksgiving.
- 11:57Speaker 2: He's sleeping on the plane, didn't necessarily put on a seatbelt,
- 11:59Speaker 2: wasn't like fileowing orders or whatever, and so then they
- 12:02Speaker 2: had it seems like what the police or fire to paramedics.
- 12:06Speaker 4: The paramedics they're like, if he's going to refuse help,
- 12:09Speaker 4: we can't give him help.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Yeah, thises are saying he's like unresponsible to It's like, yeah,
- 12:13Speaker 2: basically he's like sleep and he's not really wanting to
- 12:15Speaker 2: engage with like putting the seatbelt on the in first
- 12:17Speaker 2: class rood because he's like laying down the seats fully
- 12:20Speaker 2: like laying down. So he came over and asked, do
- 12:22Speaker 2: you know where you're at? He says yeah. They're like,
- 12:24Speaker 2: I mean he knows where he's at. And they're like,
- 12:25Speaker 2: is his pants on because apparently I guess he had
- 12:27Speaker 2: his pants off at first, like all his pants are
- 12:30Speaker 2: on now, and they're like, well, how do we go
- 12:32Speaker 2: about this, and they're trying to get him.
- 12:33Speaker 1: I guess ultimately put on a seatbelt.
- 12:35Speaker 2: I think that's what it was, and just like follow
- 12:38Speaker 2: the directions and like we're gonna have to deboard everybody
- 12:41Speaker 2: off the plane if you're not willing to cooperate, and
- 12:44Speaker 2: he wasn't like trying to talk to any of the workers.
- 12:46Speaker 3: So they end up deboarding everybody off the plane.
- 12:49Speaker 2: He flames, he fires off on some like old white
- 12:51Speaker 2: dude because O'Dell claims he was saying everything but the
- 12:54Speaker 2: MWord to me.
- 12:55Speaker 3: He's like, this shit don't matter to me.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Dude.
- 12:56Speaker 2: He's like, I'll be on a private plane. Well you
- 12:58Speaker 2: guys got to get back on this plane. And it's
- 13:00Speaker 2: flaming him, you know, some nice humor with this, some
- 13:03Speaker 2: nice man. He's like, enjoy the cheeseboard afterwards. So that's
- 13:06Speaker 2: basically the idea of what.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Happened, and now everybody's got an opinion on it.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Me, I'm thinking, bro, just put on the seatbelt, like yeah,
- 13:12Speaker 2: like you might be tired. Like let's just say all
- 13:14Speaker 2: of that is true. He comes from the club, he
- 13:16Speaker 2: gets on the plane. I get your you're sleepy, like
- 13:18Speaker 2: we've all we've all had like where you're groggy and
- 13:21Speaker 2: shit like that. But we're talking about d boarding the plane.
- 13:23Speaker 2: And then he sat there until everybody gets off the plane.
- 13:26Speaker 2: So everybody's like he's I'm just gonna chill here until
- 13:28Speaker 2: everybody gets off the plane. Everybody's got to take their
- 13:30Speaker 2: bags out of the fucking overhead and get off the plane.
- 13:33Speaker 4: There's a level of a Odell where I'm knowing Odell
- 13:35Speaker 4: for the few times I've been around a Dell like,
- 13:37Speaker 4: he doesn't seem like that kind of guy. Yeah, he
- 13:38Speaker 4: doesn't seem like a dude that would make that stuff
- 13:41Speaker 4: happen because it's a great like because he wants to
- 13:43Speaker 4: because he thinks he's Odell.
- 13:44Speaker 1: But if I'm him in that.
- 13:45Speaker 4: Situation, even if I am fucked up and I was
- 13:47Speaker 4: at the club and I had to get on the plane,
- 13:49Speaker 4: I'm thinking, hey, people, this is going to be a story.
- 13:52Speaker 4: I actually put the damn seatbelt on, right, That's what
- 13:55Speaker 4: I'm thinking.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Like me, I'm just thinking, yeah, I just put the
- 13:57Speaker 3: seatbelt on, bro not thing.
- 13:59Speaker 5: I mean, I don't know and speak how somebody gonna react,
- 14:01Speaker 5: especially with Odell, with you know, all the stuff he's
- 14:04Speaker 5: going through Ben and mea and people portray him as
- 14:07Speaker 5: one thing and you know, you always got to defend
- 14:09Speaker 5: itself and he's being out in Miami, you know, living
- 14:14Speaker 5: his life and then get on the plane and fall
- 14:17Speaker 5: asleep and all of a sudden you wake up and
- 14:19Speaker 5: there's cops and everybody just looking at you. I mean,
- 14:22Speaker 5: you know how I mean, everybody can react different. So
- 14:25Speaker 5: I think he was just like, dang, like it's going
- 14:27Speaker 5: like what is it now? But by that time, you
- 14:31Speaker 5: you're in a deep sit you waking up. He was like, whoa,
- 14:33Speaker 5: what's going on? You gotta fact, you gotta you know,
- 14:35Speaker 5: realization what's going on? And you know, I mean, I
- 14:38Speaker 5: can't tell how nobody anybody's gonna react, but you know,
- 14:40Speaker 5: all that's going on now all he's doing this line
- 14:42Speaker 5: and falling.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Asleep because ultimately, all you got is like, you know,
- 14:45Speaker 2: the tweets we see right social media, four a minute video.
- 14:48Speaker 5: It's not like we have all the But then but
- 14:51Speaker 5: then I think if you know, once he woke up
- 14:53Speaker 5: and I was going on at that point, he probably
- 14:55Speaker 5: aready knew it was gonna be out there because I mean,
- 14:58Speaker 5: phones and everybody gets a hold get a video or something.
- 15:01Speaker 1: I knew at that point, so it's like, I mean,
- 15:03Speaker 1: it is what it is.
- 15:04Speaker 2: You know, you're in the say, you know you're in
- 15:06Speaker 2: the media big and you at there like whatever the
- 15:07Speaker 2: perceptions are, they get painted YadA YadA, like you almost
- 15:10Speaker 2: just think, okay, I need to almost over correct the
- 15:13Speaker 2: other side, just so everybody knows, like be super compatitiveate.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Hey I fucked. Everybody put their bag you know, Hey,
- 15:20Speaker 1: everybody put their bags of. Listen, listen, listen, I'm gonna
- 15:22Speaker 1: put the seatbelt on. Can we fly this plane? Yeah? Yeah,
- 15:26Speaker 1: you got that out. Hey, everybody put your bags back on.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Yeah right, I'm but at.
- 15:31Speaker 5: The same time, but then you know, they they take
- 15:34Speaker 5: him off the plane. But then you hear the police say, yes,
- 15:36Speaker 5: his plans on. He's aware, he was asleep, he probably
- 15:40Speaker 5: just tired. He's like, what do y'all want us to do?
- 15:42Speaker 5: I mean, like he he's aware, he's alert. I mean,
- 15:45Speaker 5: and then they were saying that he wasn't putting a
- 15:47Speaker 5: seatbelt on at that time. I feel like he wasn't
- 15:49Speaker 5: doing anything wrong. I feel like, you know, at that point,
- 15:52Speaker 5: he's just like I just want to fly and go home.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Yeah, and just like because it's like, well, what do
- 15:57Speaker 2: you guys want to do, It's like, well, let's ask
- 15:58Speaker 2: him one more time. Let's just say, and you put
- 16:00Speaker 2: the seatbelt on so we can take off bby.
- 16:02Speaker 5: But if he wasn't putting a seatbelt on. Then it's
- 16:04Speaker 5: just like I mean, I mean, it's on you at
- 16:07Speaker 5: that point. You're just like but yeah, also like we've
- 16:11Speaker 5: been on planes.
- 16:12Speaker 4: Yeah, like when you're when you play football, Like you
- 16:15Speaker 4: get on the plane, you're sitting there and all of
- 16:16Speaker 4: a sudden, the plane's taking off.
- 16:17Speaker 7: Oh.
- 16:19Speaker 5: If I'm on the plane and I want I don't
- 16:21Speaker 5: feel like getting off, I'm gonna go to the cup
- 16:23Speaker 5: on the seat.
- 16:24Speaker 1: We can go. You know what I'm saying, you go
- 16:27Speaker 1: to the club, You do whatever you want. You know
- 16:29Speaker 1: what I'm saying, you do what you do.
- 16:32Speaker 5: I'm trying to get what you're trying to go to
- 16:33Speaker 5: this seat, Gonna let them go the you know what
- 16:36Speaker 5: I'm saying.
- 16:36Speaker 2: I'm trying to de escalate the situation. But you know,
- 16:38Speaker 2: I don't know how everybody else is doing, how the
- 16:41Speaker 2: internet work.
- 16:41Speaker 4: I wonder they should have just waited for him to
- 16:43Speaker 4: fall back asleep and then like buckled them up, like
- 16:46Speaker 4: kind of like just grab them good, just fucking go.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Like see, I don't think that, So then my question,
- 16:52Speaker 1: I don't think that somebody could have did that. This
- 16:53Speaker 1: made it like e've been like this ease and put
- 16:56Speaker 1: the seatbelt.
- 16:56Speaker 5: On because you could have did that quickly if he
- 16:58Speaker 5: was out, he probably want to have felt that anyway, right.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Like just least yeah, put your phone, take a little
- 17:05Speaker 1: phone and got him.
- 17:06Speaker 5: Especially you got especially you got the pot because I
- 17:09Speaker 5: had been on the post and I didn't. Once you
- 17:10Speaker 5: laid back, you'd be out. And it's been time. I
- 17:12Speaker 5: had food plates and I wake up and everything going.
- 17:15Speaker 5: So it's been easy to put the seatbelt on and
- 17:17Speaker 5: just let's take called.
- 17:18Speaker 8: Bro.
- 17:20Speaker 2: If they did that, we have to get Odell all
- 17:22Speaker 2: needs to come on the podcast talk Talk through that sale.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Brothers.
- 17:25Speaker 4: We had as like the same week or like six
- 17:28Speaker 4: days apart, so he's got to come on you.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Guys ever like talk or connect over. That was the
- 17:31Speaker 1: first one.
- 17:32Speaker 4: That was the first one where yeah, he got done
- 17:34Speaker 4: by the same person I got done the first time,
- 17:35Speaker 4: and we would like talk like how's your surgery going? Oh,
- 17:37Speaker 4: mine's great, how's your going? And then there was like
- 17:39Speaker 4: a level of us both like pretending like everything was great.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Yeah, and both of us.
- 17:42Speaker 4: Had twenty twenty one the way it was well, Odell,
- 17:45Speaker 4: he was balling and then all of a sudden just
- 17:48Speaker 4: didn't work anymore.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Right. The Super Bowl happened, and he.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Just remembered that there was tur field. Yes, what are
- 17:53Speaker 2: your thoughts on playing on turfields?
- 17:56Speaker 8: Man?
- 17:56Speaker 5: The same sentiment as like you got heard on turfield,
- 17:59Speaker 5: So you know how I feel about it. There's been
- 18:01Speaker 5: so many injuries that's happening on turf fields. I mean,
- 18:03Speaker 5: it's just proving it. I mean it's not really good
- 18:06Speaker 5: for the league. And you know for our bodies. You
- 18:09Speaker 5: ask any player in the league about turf they're just like,
- 18:12Speaker 5: it's not gonna be an automatic answer. They're gonna think about
- 18:14Speaker 5: it like like like nah. And there's so many people
- 18:16Speaker 5: that's been like get rid of the turf fields that you know,
- 18:19Speaker 5: I think it's a time where it's all playing on grass, right,
- 18:22Speaker 5: But at the end of the day, it's the NFL,
- 18:25Speaker 5: So it's all about business. So you're telling me, you
- 18:28Speaker 5: know how owners probably think. You're telling me, I got
- 18:30Speaker 5: to pay you and then pay to keep the field going.
- 18:34Speaker 5: Whether I can just put turf out have a football game,
- 18:37Speaker 5: but I got to maintenance a field, which I know
- 18:39Speaker 5: is probably a headache.
- 18:40Speaker 1: At the end of the day. Players are the ones
- 18:42Speaker 1: that you know.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Your best players you're gonna push the We're all about
- 18:48Speaker 2: players safety, and that's something and then that's like the narrative.
- 18:52Speaker 2: If they're following that narrative, then that's something where they
- 18:54Speaker 2: should listen to.
- 18:55Speaker 5: You know, really, really, I think for players, and I
- 18:57Speaker 5: think they we're just trying to seeing people get hurt
- 18:59Speaker 5: on turf, right, And it's just been proven people getting
- 19:02Speaker 5: hurt over and over again. And I think when players
- 19:05Speaker 5: play on turf, they probably thinking about, like, man, I
- 19:06Speaker 5: hope you know, I come out the game healthy. It's
- 19:08Speaker 5: just you're just tired of seeing people get hurt, especially
- 19:11Speaker 5: people you see work so hard, get where they're at
- 19:14Speaker 5: and then get you know, get hurt, especially like he said,
- 19:17Speaker 5: we're talking about Odell come off of a c L
- 19:19Speaker 5: and then work all his way back and got the
- 19:22Speaker 5: Super Bowl and got hurt again on turf. You know,
- 19:24Speaker 5: you don't want to see that. So you know what's.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Crazy too, is the players are even talking about before
- 19:29Speaker 2: the game. We had on U CJ. Cj Uzama from
- 19:32Speaker 2: the Bengals and he was like, even before the game,
- 19:34Speaker 2: they're talking about that middle of the field area where.
- 19:37Speaker 1: On the Jets. Now yeah he's on the Jets now
- 19:40Speaker 1: he was on the Bengals.
- 19:42Speaker 4: Nice heads up played though for well, that could have
- 19:43Speaker 4: been real bad.
- 19:44Speaker 1: It could have been bad.
- 19:45Speaker 2: But he was saying before the game, they were all
- 19:47Speaker 2: out there walking talking about like, hey, make sure you
- 19:50Speaker 2: know you be careful around this area because it felt
- 19:51Speaker 2: a little loose, like with the turf.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Yeah, but but but hold on now, Taylor, Yeah, Seattle
- 19:58Speaker 1: last year warm up before the game, Yes, turf we did.
- 20:03Speaker 2: And there is video footage you're hitting that little hyper
- 20:06Speaker 2: extension deal.
- 20:08Speaker 4: Then yeah, like the turf deal is in Buffalo this year?
- 20:12Speaker 1: Yeah, surf.
- 20:13Speaker 4: Yeah, what was that second play, first play, first play
- 20:15Speaker 4: of the game, that's the action passed?
- 20:20Speaker 1: But did I read that from the ros the crying?
- 20:26Speaker 5: Did I read met Life Stadium was going to turf?
- 20:27Speaker 5: I mean going to grass? Right, moving from turf to grass?
- 20:31Speaker 5: Met Life Stadium. The Giants and the Jets'.
- 20:34Speaker 4: Big win people could do what the Cardinals are doing.
- 20:37Speaker 4: They got the roof that's retractable and on it and they
- 20:40Speaker 4: have like on a grid.
- 20:40Speaker 1: The Riders do that too.
- 20:41Speaker 5: I mean, I'm not agree, but they have adorned with grass. Yeah,
- 20:45Speaker 5: I think the Texans had at one point when they
- 20:46Speaker 5: went to turf. I think I think it's just a
- 20:48Speaker 5: maintenance thing about it.
- 20:49Speaker 1: I had to pay and keep the turf grass.
- 20:52Speaker 4: Yeah, fertilizer, yeah, all the time.
- 20:55Speaker 1: It's just about keeping the grass up because there's the level.
- 20:58Speaker 4: Of like when when you play a Nissan stadium, I'm like,
- 21:00Speaker 4: the grass is fine in the middle of the season,
- 21:02Speaker 4: but then the end of the season there's the Music
- 21:03Speaker 4: City Bowl, there's a whole bunch of concerts and all
- 21:05Speaker 4: this stuff. Yeah, he plays on it, and so by
- 21:08Speaker 4: the end of the year, you're playing on like the
- 21:10Speaker 4: Oakland Radio Stadium, like all on that fucking I remember
- 21:13Speaker 4: one point.
- 21:13Speaker 5: I forgot what what which year it was, but they
- 21:16Speaker 5: had spray playing in the field, and it's like we
- 21:17Speaker 5: were playing on ice in the ground.
- 21:19Speaker 1: I'm like, whoa that last yea. I'm like whoa. I know.
- 21:24Speaker 2: It would be one thing if the owners were just like, hey,
- 21:25Speaker 2: the maintenance, the cost YadA YadA, and just play that.
- 21:28Speaker 1: But if they the way.
- 21:28Speaker 2: They talk about player safety, it's like, okay, well then
- 21:30Speaker 2: listen to your players, even even as simple simply practice.
- 21:35Speaker 2: We enjoy going inside, like when it's cold as fuck,
- 21:37Speaker 2: but we're like, fuck, we got to play on the turf. Yeah,
- 21:40Speaker 2: turf points feel worse after play on t but okay
- 21:43Speaker 2: to play Devil's advocated. I remember like going on the
- 21:45Speaker 2: turf when you're young.
- 21:46Speaker 4: You don't even realize the older dude to be talking
- 21:48Speaker 4: about the turf and be like, my shit feels fine,
- 21:50Speaker 4: what are you talking about?
- 21:50Speaker 1: Exactly?
- 21:53Speaker 4: Even like this past year when we go on the turf,
- 21:55Speaker 4: I like, I really want to go on the turf
- 21:56Speaker 4: because I know I'm gonna field the next two days.
- 21:58Speaker 4: Low key in practice, I be like, man, I kind
- 22:00Speaker 4: of feel really good out here.
- 22:02Speaker 5: Springy, springy. Yeah, you definitely. You definitely look fast on turf,
- 22:06Speaker 5: for sure, way fast. You'd be like you're flying on turf. Yes,
- 22:09Speaker 5: that's that's that's for sure.
- 22:11Speaker 2: Like when you're in like high school and stuff, you
- 22:12Speaker 2: play on the turf field you're like, oh man, we're
- 22:14Speaker 2: playing Did you play field?
- 22:16Speaker 1: Yeah exactly in high school? Yes no no no, not highs.
- 22:20Speaker 5: Gon said, when you go to play on one, you like,
- 22:21Speaker 5: oh yeah, so.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Legit for sure.
- 22:26Speaker 5: Crazy, Like the level of thinking as you get older
- 22:29Speaker 5: and like you your body and the game. It's like
- 22:33Speaker 5: in high school injury like it was nothing and all
- 22:36Speaker 5: that type of stuff, and then playing on turfie, it's
- 22:38Speaker 5: just crazy. How like your logical logical thinking changes as
- 22:41Speaker 5: you get older in the game.
- 22:43Speaker 4: Some grass, give us some grass. But in high school, like, man,
- 22:46Speaker 4: these guys we had grass with our field. We suck
- 22:48Speaker 4: Like that's not cool.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Even in college, are you tripping out turf?
- 22:51Speaker 4: Really no, No, Michigan's the fields on turf all time,
- 22:55Speaker 4: every game, every single game.
- 22:59Speaker 1: But but but.
- 23:00Speaker 5: To just show you the level and the physicality of
- 23:04Speaker 5: the NFL to college, and you know, leaning up, it's
- 23:07Speaker 5: way different.
- 23:08Speaker 1: You gotta yeah, it is.
- 23:10Speaker 4: It is way different, and that everyone's just faster and stronger.
- 23:13Speaker 5: People Like people always ask me about college to the NFL.
- 23:16Speaker 5: I'm just like, the NFL is not in day different
- 23:21Speaker 5: from the same game, not the same.
- 23:23Speaker 1: It's not the same.
- 23:24Speaker 2: College feel from a running back perspective, how different it is?
- 23:27Speaker 3: What did you see.
- 23:30Speaker 1: College is? It's not the same, not the same. I
- 23:35Speaker 1: mean the SEC was, I mean it was the closest
- 23:37Speaker 1: thing to it. But it's just not the same, bro,
- 23:39Speaker 1: it's not the same. Like like.
- 23:43Speaker 4: You said, some fighting words there. We play a little
- 23:48Speaker 4: differently up North.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Yeah, but that's why.
- 23:52Speaker 5: I mean, that's the teams I played mainly was in
- 23:54Speaker 5: the SEC. I can't speak on the big team, and
- 23:56Speaker 5: you know the conference. I didn't play them, Wisconsin, Michigan State.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Thirty eight zero. Wisconsin was like thirty five thirteen. Ok
- 24:06Speaker 1: if I played a higho state, Ohio State. We played
- 24:08Speaker 1: Ohio stateon in the college playoffs. They beat us. Yeah,
- 24:10Speaker 1: you guys again, play Ohio State in the playoffs and
- 24:13Speaker 1: they beat us. Yea, they want to that's a championship
- 24:16Speaker 1: too out of Ohio State. Here he goes, oh no,
- 24:20Speaker 1: we need this.
- 24:22Speaker 4: How the fuck do these other Power five conferences compete
- 24:27Speaker 4: with the sec like you are? You're the reason why,
- 24:30Speaker 4: like players like you are the reason why we can't
- 24:32Speaker 4: catch a fucking break. Poor tc US looking their wounds
- 24:34Speaker 4: right now. That game was was disgusting. It was And
- 24:38Speaker 4: the only good thing I can take from it is
- 24:40Speaker 4: they beat them worse than Michigan last year, So I
- 24:42Speaker 4: feel a whole lot better about it, you know.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Yeah, but it was just crazy to watch that game.
- 24:47Speaker 5: I'm just like, when I watched the CU against Michigan,
- 24:49Speaker 5: I'm like, Okay, they have some physical physicality to him.
- 24:51Speaker 5: They played hard like on defense, I'm like, okay, they
- 24:54Speaker 5: and then the quarterback.
- 24:55Speaker 2: He's tough thirteen on defense, or yeah that linebackers, Yeah,
- 24:59Speaker 2: run around, packed up too, you.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Know running back.
- 25:01Speaker 5: I heard thirty three, which he's nice, but number three
- 25:04Speaker 5: for them he played well too when he went down.
- 25:07Speaker 5: But I just thought TCU, I mean their physical they wouldn't.
- 25:09Speaker 5: I didn't think they're gonna lay the egg go or
- 25:11Speaker 5: lay down and don't watch the game. I was like,
- 25:14Speaker 5: oh man, it was.
- 25:16Speaker 1: The closest.
- 25:17Speaker 3: Oh man, yeah, who seem competitive?
- 25:19Speaker 4: Ill as you had that game on for a thought,
- 25:21Speaker 4: for that game, I think Michigan would have done better.
- 25:25Speaker 5: No, No, what are your thoughts on the arguments and
- 25:27Speaker 5: conversations that we've had about SEC and all that type.
- 25:31Speaker 5: So what are your thoughts? And now I'm coming to
- 25:33Speaker 5: you next cause you've been in there.
- 25:34Speaker 4: We understand the question, Derek.
- 25:36Speaker 2: We know what you're at, what you're asking that we
- 25:38Speaker 2: slow down ask us the question you want to ask.
- 25:40Speaker 4: Obviously, we are a pro Big ten podcast, and we
- 25:43Speaker 4: look at the SEC as the enemy.
- 25:45Speaker 1: You guys won.
- 25:46Speaker 4: You guys won this year, and you've won frequently over
- 25:48Speaker 4: the last fifteen years. But that's the SEC is the
- 25:54Speaker 4: best conference in college football, no question right now, no question.
- 26:00Speaker 4: My worry is how the hell do we get these
- 26:02Speaker 4: studs out of the Southeast and bring them up north.
- 26:05Speaker 4: We have to some money at them boys, and I
- 26:07Speaker 4: l deals now. It is also not fair that the
- 26:10Speaker 4: SEC was doing an IL deals before they were legal,
- 26:12Speaker 4: like that is yeah, that's something I.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Don't know all that rings.
- 26:16Speaker 4: I remember the last five you know it.
- 26:20Speaker 1: That's a historic quote pay me in rings, so real
- 26:25Speaker 1: lives on to this day, on to this day. He
- 26:29Speaker 1: did you we like look at that because that shit
- 26:31Speaker 1: was blowing up.
- 26:31Speaker 2: Everybody's like his teammates pressing him like this, Yes, this
- 26:36Speaker 2: locker room conversation.
- 26:37Speaker 5: Like I bem ah pan page or something like post
- 26:41Speaker 5: something like, man, put it in the coliseum and pay
- 26:42Speaker 5: me a rings.
- 26:43Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. That's that's that's what you could. Yeah,
- 26:47Speaker 1: that's logan.
- 26:48Speaker 4: You can use.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Kentucky. Yeah, what was they lost? He was real that
- 26:56Speaker 1: Bud Pree was saying, Kentucky's real this year outside of Georgia.
- 27:00Speaker 4: And I don't really say Alabama anymore?
- 27:03Speaker 1: Why this year? But bro, I'm gonna keep it real.
- 27:06Speaker 5: I'm gonna keep it real though, And I'm just gonna
- 27:08Speaker 5: say this, last year Georgia played Michigan. Yes, was it close? No,
- 27:18Speaker 5: not close. That was twenty twenty one. Yeah, year before that,
- 27:23Speaker 5: They'm gonna play at.
- 27:24Speaker 1: Higher state and national championship wasn't close. It's fifty two,
- 27:26Speaker 1: twenty four.
- 27:28Speaker 4: That doesn't seem like he didn't really give us time
- 27:30Speaker 4: to answer that question either.
- 27:32Speaker 1: And trying to thank the year before that Clemson did Clemson.
- 27:37Speaker 5: Oh, Clemson played h L s U. I that turned
- 27:41Speaker 5: out those I mean, but I'm just saying I'm in
- 27:44Speaker 5: the SEC or a C C.
- 27:45Speaker 1: Now, what's it? Was it? One year when Clempston played
- 27:48Speaker 1: Ohio State in the playoffs. I think it was like in.
- 27:50Speaker 2: The bowl, oh LSU won because that was Joey b
- 27:53Speaker 2: that's that's that's on us.
- 27:55Speaker 1: That's not on you.
- 27:56Speaker 2: I knew that L you wont football teams of all time,
- 27:58Speaker 2: that's on us, that's all he said.
- 27:59Speaker 4: The Colose football football team of all time.
- 28:01Speaker 3: One of them, I think Nebraska in the nineties.
- 28:04Speaker 1: But I will say, look up the stats. I will
- 28:06Speaker 1: say Ohio State held it down against Georgia this year.
- 28:09Speaker 1: That was a good game. That was a good game
- 28:11Speaker 1: they played. Well. Yeah, I know it was.
- 28:13Speaker 3: Made it seem like Georgia was human that we.
- 28:15Speaker 4: Were so close to seeing Ohio State versus Michigan in
- 28:18Speaker 4: the National Championship.
- 28:19Speaker 5: We were Yes, I will say I will say this
- 28:23Speaker 5: for Michigan, that was a touchdown.
- 28:25Speaker 1: I don't understand how they did know what that was.
- 28:29Speaker 1: That was a touchdown.
- 28:30Speaker 7: Me.
- 28:31Speaker 4: Yeah, we've said on this podcast already, you can't spot
- 28:34Speaker 4: them two pick sixes and a quarterback running back exchange
- 28:38Speaker 4: for a turnover. You can't do that, right.
- 28:40Speaker 1: They still almost, they still almost came back. That was tough.
- 28:43Speaker 1: That was tough.
- 28:43Speaker 2: That was fair to say that. Georgia's Alabama's daddy. Now
- 28:46Speaker 2: in the SEC, Bro, you.
- 28:50Speaker 1: Take it easy.
- 28:51Speaker 5: You go, look at me in my face, smile. Let
- 28:54Speaker 5: me asked me that question. You got that much confidence?
- 28:56Speaker 1: Ask me that? Yeah, Bro, to say Georgia, you had
- 29:00Speaker 1: your teeth to talk, all right, hang, let me let
- 29:01Speaker 1: me change it out. No no, no, no, no no.
- 29:05Speaker 2: The question, the question is already out there, the questions
- 29:06Speaker 2: already out there.
- 29:08Speaker 5: We just played Georgia. No no, no, you are asking the question.
- 29:11Speaker 5: No no, no, no.
- 29:12Speaker 1: We're good, We're good.
- 29:13Speaker 5: You asked you, you asked to have a confidence. So
- 29:15Speaker 5: I'm going to kill that confidence.
- 29:17Speaker 1: All right.
- 29:18Speaker 5: We just played Georgia last year in the National Championship.
- 29:23Speaker 5: They won right, They won right, and we beat them
- 29:27Speaker 5: previous that.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Same year in the SEC Championship.
- 29:30Speaker 5: We had both of both of our receivers, John Meshi
- 29:32Speaker 5: and Jameson Williams.
- 29:34Speaker 1: John Meshi goes down with a cl.
- 29:38Speaker 5: And then Winiams goes down with a cl in that game, Bro,
- 29:44Speaker 5: who I mean, who is who is gonna gonna.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Throw to in that game? Natty's in a row now
- 29:50Speaker 1: said again in a row.
- 29:52Speaker 5: I'm not taking anything away from Georgia, but I'm saying
- 29:56Speaker 5: we had went previous that year. We just won it
- 29:58Speaker 5: in twenty twenty, and we went back in twenty twenty one.
- 30:00Speaker 5: Georgia won it last year and they won it this year.
- 30:04Speaker 5: We've won it two thousand and nine, twenty twelve, twenty
- 30:10Speaker 5: and fifteen, eleven, two oh yeah, twenty eleven, I'm sorry,
- 30:14Speaker 5: twenty eleven, nine elevenven, No, No, nine eleven, twelve, fifteen,
- 30:19Speaker 5: hold on, hold on, hold on, fifteen seventeen. I don't
- 30:23Speaker 5: want to look seventeen Crimson twenty.
- 30:29Speaker 4: And you guys, you guys never be against the twenty twenty.
- 30:36Speaker 1: We're just I'm just looking at the stats.
- 30:38Speaker 4: We just want to set Chance is king ship in
- 30:41Speaker 4: the SEC.
- 30:42Speaker 1: Right now, okay, let me rephrase it.
- 30:44Speaker 3: Would it be fair to say that Georgia is the
- 30:47Speaker 3: king of the SEC?
- 30:49Speaker 1: No?
- 30:49Speaker 5: Bro, right, no, bro? They are playing great football. They
- 30:54Speaker 5: are the two time defending chance is over. You know
- 30:57Speaker 5: what I'm saying. What I'm saying for last two years,
- 30:58Speaker 5: they've been out standing. Okay, how I'm saying we we
- 31:02Speaker 5: have sustained that standard for ten years. For ten years.
- 31:07Speaker 5: I just think when somebody's on top and been on
- 31:09Speaker 5: top for so long, they can't wait for somebody to
- 31:11Speaker 5: just come in and just take over.
- 31:14Speaker 1: But but but but well but.
- 31:16Speaker 5: That's not going nowhere, I'm sorry to say. But then
- 31:19Speaker 5: we're recruitass this year.
- 31:20Speaker 1: How about this? With this?
- 31:21Speaker 3: There you go?
- 31:22Speaker 4: Is Kirby Smart the best head coach in the SEC?
- 31:27Speaker 1: Bro?
- 31:27Speaker 5: Stop stop bro, No, no, who is Kirby Smart under
- 31:31Speaker 5: before he went to Georgia.
- 31:33Speaker 1: I'm assuming nixt name. You were assuming Nick Sab. They
- 31:38Speaker 1: don't assume many.
- 31:39Speaker 2: Just because Nick Saban's lived longer doesn't mean any Yeah,
- 31:43Speaker 2: nick name is really just old. That's why successful, I think. So,
- 31:46Speaker 2: I mean it seems like I mean that's falling off
- 31:48Speaker 2: last year guys twenty because the start of the state,
- 31:51Speaker 2: be fair to say that in twenty twenty two Georgia
- 31:53Speaker 2: was the king of the SEC.
- 31:57Speaker 1: Oh no, I can't live with that.
- 31:59Speaker 4: No, how about this?
- 32:00Speaker 1: So you're dying with you're you're dying with your pride,
- 32:02Speaker 1: which we can respect.
- 32:03Speaker 4: We can need one more question, though, Is it fair
- 32:06Speaker 4: to say since twenty twenty Georgia has owned the SEC?
- 32:11Speaker 1: No? Bro, oh, Bro, that's twenty twenty.
- 32:13Speaker 5: Se I'm more scared to play Alabama that year in
- 32:16Speaker 5: twenty twenty than and killed them.
- 32:18Speaker 1: At your point, you think, did Bro? You're gonna say that?
- 32:21Speaker 8: Bro?
- 32:21Speaker 1: You said, you said twenty twenty, let's scare of the dog. Yeah,
- 32:25Speaker 1: the dog dogs.
- 32:27Speaker 4: Nobody's anything else anymore.
- 32:29Speaker 1: You said, the king of the SECS is twenty twenty.
- 32:31Speaker 5: We beat them twice in twenty twenty, right, it's twenty twenty, right,
- 32:37Speaker 5: We're doing twice in twenty twenty, right, because because Bro
- 32:41Speaker 5: played Resident Seas at SEC, we beat them twice then.
- 32:43Speaker 1: Right, I know that? Yes? Yeah, no, no, no, no.
- 32:48Speaker 5: No, we did because of the SEC schedule in twenty twenty,
- 32:50Speaker 5: because of COVID and they came to them and we
- 32:51Speaker 5: beat them. So We beat them twice in twenty twenty, right,
- 32:55Speaker 5: we beat them in twenty twenty one SEC championship. They
- 32:57Speaker 5: beat us the National Championship. We didn't play. We didn't
- 33:00Speaker 5: We didn't play this year.
- 33:01Speaker 4: Would you rather have an SEC championship or national championship?
- 33:05Speaker 1: This is the question question? Okay, okay, what I'm saying, Yeah,
- 33:09Speaker 1: but we were still there. They yeah, they won, but
- 33:12Speaker 1: so so so.
- 33:13Speaker 5: You're telling mee Like, watching that game on Monday night,
- 33:16Speaker 5: you were like, what is this? They shouldn't have been there,
- 33:20Speaker 5: That's what everybody was saying. Heco Absolutely, That's what I'm saying.
- 33:23Speaker 5: And it's no, not a TCU, but it's just like they,
- 33:25Speaker 5: I mean you thinking no competition.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Should have been ANC should have been there. Yeah, Tennessee
- 33:29Speaker 1: should have been in the Nation Championship this year. We
- 33:32Speaker 1: lost by field goal.
- 33:33Speaker 4: Yeah, I lost lost close matters.
- 33:37Speaker 1: Okay, I lost when I was that man. We still
- 33:39Speaker 1: won national championship. We lost Old Miss. It's the old Miss. Yeah, that.
- 33:45Speaker 2: Was a crazy game. Do you wish that your mascot
- 33:49Speaker 2: is a dog over an elephant?
- 33:52Speaker 1: Elephants elphan's biggest animal in the jungle boy?
- 33:55Speaker 3: What else you know about them?
- 33:56Speaker 1: Are they in jungles? Huh, they go in jungles and
- 33:59Speaker 1: in jungle baby the young.
- 34:03Speaker 4: What's a better mascot than an elephant?
- 34:05Speaker 1: None? A wolverine? None, dog, y'all't even have a do
- 34:10Speaker 1: y'all have a mascot? Never see y'all.
- 34:12Speaker 2: And it died, okay, And then it became you guys
- 34:14Speaker 2: are you guys are with wolverines?
- 34:16Speaker 4: With the wolfings? It was a tax jummy one sitting
- 34:19Speaker 4: in the Shambacker hall right now.
- 34:21Speaker 1: But either way it goes Mary's proud about bemo boys. Man.
- 34:24Speaker 5: We came up a little bit short when we finished
- 34:26Speaker 5: the season strong. One thing about us, We're just gonna
- 34:28Speaker 5: go back to work, everybody talk.
- 34:31Speaker 1: And come out and do what we do. I think
- 34:33Speaker 1: I mean that because.
- 34:34Speaker 2: When I was there our freshman, our freshman year, we
- 34:37Speaker 2: lost to.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Your freshman years that when you were getting paid, no,
- 34:40Speaker 1: never got paid. That was to go to the school. God,
- 34:44Speaker 1: I was earning my rings. Do a good job.
- 34:45Speaker 5: My first my first year, we lost to Auburn to
- 34:48Speaker 5: kick sixty. You end up losing to Oklahoma and the
- 34:51Speaker 5: Sugar Bowl. In my second year, we lost the Old
- 34:54Speaker 5: Miss and they end up losing the Ohio State in
- 34:56Speaker 5: the playoffs. In my third year we of Michigan, we
- 35:02Speaker 5: won that championship and SEC championship. So it's like, you know,
- 35:05Speaker 5: you can have times where who was your first year
- 35:07Speaker 5: twenty twelve twenty thirteen successful in a straight line? Not
- 35:12Speaker 5: always man, not always, not always is you know, Georgia
- 35:16Speaker 5: had to work their way to get there, you know
- 35:18Speaker 5: what I'm saying.
- 35:18Speaker 2: But your way to get you ain't gonna work their
- 35:20Speaker 2: way to get where to win in a row, will.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Be on top, to be on top, don't, Yeah, because
- 35:25Speaker 1: they want they're the national championship Kings, that championship, the Kings. No,
- 35:30Speaker 1: y'all saw, y'all go, We all saw people are doing
- 35:35Speaker 1: it again. Y'all saw coach saving whatever.
- 35:38Speaker 4: Yeah, it's crazy.
- 35:40Speaker 1: Who is it?
- 35:40Speaker 4: Who is the David Pollock was like Georgia is like
- 35:44Speaker 4: the team in the SEC.
- 35:47Speaker 1: Yeah, And you see.
- 35:48Speaker 4: Nick Saban look down like this, you can see him
- 35:50Speaker 4: taking that mental note. All right, bet, this is the
- 35:52Speaker 4: rat poison we needed. This is the rat poison we needed.
- 35:56Speaker 4: Do you guys say you're gonna be good next year,
- 35:58Speaker 4: which it is gonna be a quarter back question.
- 36:01Speaker 1: Who's gonna be your quarterback probably be an open competition.
- 36:05Speaker 1: I think.
- 36:09Speaker 5: It'll be open competition, but I think that said, it
- 36:12Speaker 5: always is unless you just come in and just establish
- 36:16Speaker 5: yourself right away, and it's just there's no question. I
- 36:20Speaker 5: think it'd be an open competition until somebody just takes
- 36:22Speaker 5: it over, which I think it will go until campus over.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Yeah, go through. They'll go through a spring and do
- 36:30Speaker 1: all that and go through a day. How's it feel?
- 36:33Speaker 2: They have Toma guys on top of the league and
- 36:36Speaker 2: rushing that's always nice. Man, you know in that last game, right,
- 36:41Speaker 2: three going in last week and then you.
- 36:43Speaker 1: I was three. But yeah, man, it's aspire r b U.
- 36:48Speaker 1: I mean you can't. You can't. Really. People always try
- 36:51Speaker 1: to argue this is RB you bro.
- 36:53Speaker 4: Yeah, you guys come along way from Trent Richardson.
- 36:56Speaker 1: Don't don't don't do that. Don't do that. No, I like, yeah, yeah,
- 37:02Speaker 1: Now we were in the A number game together.
- 37:04Speaker 4: We were Yeah, he is a stud and he he
- 37:07Speaker 4: had off the field deals or something going on.
- 37:09Speaker 1: But this is not a disrespectful comment.
- 37:12Speaker 5: He was a bus that's RBU for sure. Why Helton
- 37:15Speaker 5: for sure?
- 37:17Speaker 1: Yeah? Who who competes with that? Who competes with you
- 37:20Speaker 1: guys a rb.
- 37:22Speaker 4: Uh probably J yelled and not t Y Helton.
- 37:25Speaker 5: Georgia, Georgia, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Wisconsin.
- 37:32Speaker 4: Wisconsin's got some stags. You remember that. You've seen firsthand
- 37:37Speaker 4: what happens with Wisconsin running back no lube. Yeah, no,
- 37:42Speaker 4: I want you to know. I wasn't coming out. Uh,
- 37:44Speaker 4: I guess I was coming out. Trent Richardson threw him
- 37:47Speaker 4: in the bus column. He is like objectively, if you
- 37:50Speaker 4: looked at him, he is a bust. And now I've
- 37:52Speaker 4: been around him a couple of times.
- 37:53Speaker 1: I enjoyed him.
- 37:54Speaker 4: I think he's a great guy for whatever happened, just
- 37:55Speaker 4: didn't work out in the league, but happened.
- 37:59Speaker 5: Sometimes, you know, stuff like that happens and you just
- 38:04Speaker 5: gotta gotta move on. We all wanted to go, but
- 38:07Speaker 5: we be playing. But don't it don't go like that.
- 38:08Speaker 5: But yeah, he's still a dog man.
- 38:10Speaker 1: He was dog in college.
- 38:11Speaker 2: Everybody know you know rich was a doll, but sure
- 38:16Speaker 2: you were. I do want to circle back. Got that
- 38:18Speaker 2: dog in him, got that dog in him. I do
- 38:21Speaker 2: want to circle back. I just see what you did
- 38:23Speaker 2: to my dog.
- 38:27Speaker 1: When you got hurt last year. What was no?
- 38:29Speaker 5: No, no, I do want to speak on you said having
- 38:32Speaker 5: to bema backs in the top two. Yeah, proud of
- 38:34Speaker 5: Josh he worked for it, went crazy. I got to
- 38:38Speaker 5: watch his game against the forty nine ers, which is
- 38:40Speaker 5: part of the best sleepers in the league. He was
- 38:42Speaker 5: killing him and he didn't have a lot of yards,
- 38:44Speaker 5: but he was going crazy. Very proud of josh Man.
- 38:47Speaker 5: And you know, I think he earned everything he got
- 38:50Speaker 5: this year. I know they didn't pick up his with
- 38:52Speaker 5: their option this past year, so I know that was motivation. Yeah,
- 38:55Speaker 5: proudly josh Man. And you know Rbu Benma built roll tied.
- 39:00Speaker 5: You know what it is.
- 39:01Speaker 1: Do you think Harris Kenyan doing this thing bond?
- 39:06Speaker 4: You guys do have a lot of good it down
- 39:09Speaker 4: for a while.
- 39:10Speaker 1: Yeah, Man, proud of them boys. Man, you know how
- 39:12Speaker 1: we rock out. You guys have some really good back.
- 39:15Speaker 4: Who's the back for the Saints Alvin Kamara and marking
- 39:20Speaker 4: that but he was before he was.
- 39:23Speaker 1: We all we all came, We all came, album came
- 39:25Speaker 1: in together, man, crazy.
- 39:28Speaker 4: Most underutilized back in in college football history. Who Alvin Kamara.
- 39:33Speaker 5: Probably his first year and then he uh left went
- 39:36Speaker 5: to junior college. But when he went to Tennessee. It
- 39:38Speaker 5: went crazy.
- 39:39Speaker 4: He still under underutilized that. People really didn't know about
- 39:42Speaker 4: him like that at the time.
- 39:44Speaker 1: Right, jail her.
- 39:45Speaker 5: But but but Alvin was a dog at Tennessee. What
- 39:49Speaker 5: but you think I went crazy?
- 39:51Speaker 4: Alvin Kamara was going to do what he's in the
- 39:52Speaker 4: league when he was in college.
- 39:54Speaker 1: What are you talking about?
- 39:55Speaker 4: You that we have talked about this like he was
- 39:59Speaker 4: a know utilized Josh Dobson dog at Tennessee, broy dog.
- 40:04Speaker 1: But all right, dog, I digress. You know when we
- 40:07Speaker 1: play them, when when you cut that something look stupid
- 40:11Speaker 1: as fuck.
- 40:11Speaker 2: You know when Dobbs, when Dobbs gonna cut it. Jack
- 40:15Speaker 2: literally last week was even kind of saying that. But
- 40:17Speaker 2: I guess now here switched.
- 40:22Speaker 1: No. But when uh? Jack? But uh?
- 40:26Speaker 5: Speaking of speaking of Tennessee, and when I was at Tennessee,
- 40:29Speaker 5: we played them in fifteen. They almost beat us. It
- 40:31Speaker 5: was a close game. It came down to the wire.
- 40:33Speaker 5: They were good. Now he was balling.
- 40:36Speaker 4: Really if it wasn't for the game Cocks, they'd be
- 40:37Speaker 4: in that college ball playoffs.
- 40:39Speaker 5: Yeah, that that game was wold. The boy went crazy
- 40:42Speaker 5: and then Hidon got hurt. I hate I hate to see.
- 40:44Speaker 4: That I saw him in l A when I when
- 40:47Speaker 4: I when you just put the chargers. I went down
- 40:49Speaker 4: there and get checked up, and he was like super positive.
- 40:52Speaker 4: Back Joe Milton, Well he nice?
- 40:55Speaker 1: Watch he nice? Now he nice?
- 40:59Speaker 2: Like literally once he went down and came in and
- 41:01Speaker 2: finished to go back to Michigan.
- 41:03Speaker 1: He nice? Does he have another year?
- 41:05Speaker 4: I want him back?
- 41:06Speaker 1: Is he not? Is he done? He's going back? He's
- 41:08Speaker 1: going back to Tennessee. Yeah, oh he nice?
- 41:10Speaker 4: Well started before and then he was like overthrowing. Not
- 41:15Speaker 4: no more, not no more quarterback in Tennessee. He is bro.
- 41:23Speaker 1: He's big. He's a big dude. You think he throws.
- 41:27Speaker 1: When he was throwing, it look like he was just like, right,
- 41:30Speaker 1: we're going that thing. Nice bro, Nice bro, Come on, Jim,
- 41:35Speaker 1: you don't like JJ.
- 41:36Speaker 4: I like JJ a lot, But I like competition. No, No,
- 41:39Speaker 4: I like competition. I think competition makes the best out
- 41:42Speaker 4: of all.
- 41:42Speaker 2: So iron starup and iron Who would you want to
- 41:44Speaker 2: be a certain quarterback in Michigan if he went there, if.
- 41:47Speaker 4: Joe Milton went there, Yeah, like who would you want
- 41:49Speaker 4: to be there? I would want I would want to
- 41:51Speaker 4: see them compete and whoever the best one is, we
- 41:53Speaker 4: come out better. Hopefully whoever does takes is a NAST
- 41:56Speaker 4: Championship and wins it against Georgia next year.
- 41:58Speaker 3: Hope comes out on top of that quarterback battle.
- 42:00Speaker 4: Oh, I think I would hope the better player came
- 42:03Speaker 4: out on top.
- 42:04Speaker 2: You're just you're just wanting to get on your hands
- 42:06Speaker 2: and knees for fucking Joe Milton and go to Michigan.
- 42:08Speaker 3: But then it's like, oh, getting the quarterback battle.
- 42:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, unless Joe's afraid of competition.
- 42:12Speaker 1: Why you go to Michigan and compete when you can
- 42:14Speaker 1: just start in Tennessee.
- 42:15Speaker 4: I mean, why not try and be great? Hey, guys
- 42:18Speaker 4: all give him empty promises? Yeah, but it's cool switch
- 42:22Speaker 4: up sometimes, like your hair.
- 42:23Speaker 1: Do you think I was? We want to talk about
- 42:26Speaker 1: your hair.
- 42:27Speaker 5: It is so crazy because at first people were making
- 42:31Speaker 5: fun of my hair. Oh it looks like this, It
- 42:33Speaker 5: looks like that, want me to take it down. But
- 42:36Speaker 5: now I take it down their hair bag. It's your
- 42:37Speaker 5: super power. I'm like, bro, shut up, be quiet.
- 42:40Speaker 4: Now, I will say this.
- 42:41Speaker 1: Shut up. Hits.
- 42:43Speaker 4: Hits look harder on you with your hair down.
- 42:46Speaker 1: Because your hair because it flies everywhere. Look around. Yeah, sure,
- 42:49Speaker 1: because I.
- 42:49Speaker 4: Think somebody I'm not going to say who was Like,
- 42:51Speaker 4: I think Derek taking harder hits this year, and I
- 42:53Speaker 4: was like, bro, I think it's his hair just flying
- 42:55Speaker 4: around more. It's definitely my hair, I feel because my
- 42:57Speaker 4: head is the Giants game this first time.
- 42:59Speaker 1: That was I I want who was blocking on that?
- 43:01Speaker 1: You made me look really bad? Well? Who was blocking
- 43:03Speaker 1: on it? Really bad? On that? I think it was
- 43:09Speaker 1: definitely why dark visor kind of you know, I.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Made the linebacker slipped the back door him and then yeah, yeah,
- 43:16Speaker 2: that was tough for the individual.
- 43:17Speaker 1: But I was looking this way.
- 43:19Speaker 5: I seen the same thing I was. I was jumping
- 43:21Speaker 5: over somebody on the ground, I looking straight up rest
- 43:26Speaker 5: his history. But I ain't gonna complain. We got back
- 43:28Speaker 5: up and continued to play.
- 43:29Speaker 4: When you saw one of your teammates with the dark
- 43:31Speaker 4: visor and did you think, wow, it looks really cool.
- 43:33Speaker 1: I want to do that too.
- 43:35Speaker 5: I always saw a dark bozone was cool when I
- 43:38Speaker 5: seen with Danien Thomason, we always wanted to wear one,
- 43:40Speaker 5: because that's all him.
- 43:41Speaker 4: Had nothing to do with an office linean on your
- 43:42Speaker 4: team that worked not at all.
- 43:46Speaker 2: Sorry to say, oh, you're saying he wanted to get
- 43:48Speaker 2: the dark visor Oh my god, will Bro he is
- 43:53Speaker 2: really like that.
- 43:53Speaker 4: He just doesn't Derek got that yahn like that. Yeah,
- 44:00Speaker 4: let's talk about the season.
- 44:03Speaker 1: And I thought I thought I had a question. Okay,
- 44:04Speaker 1: go ahead.
- 44:05Speaker 4: This is exactly said. We weren't gonna do, but go ahead.
- 44:07Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I can't remember.
- 44:14Speaker 1: What were the best like jokes you got with what
- 44:16Speaker 1: your hair looked like.
- 44:17Speaker 2: Because I know you're thinking of them, and you said,
- 44:19Speaker 2: you know, like this like that, like the other day,
- 44:20Speaker 2: somebody's like, you know, Derek doesn't have the.
- 44:22Speaker 3: Third hanging out of the helmet anymore.
- 44:24Speaker 5: I think I think you. I think you know that.
- 44:26Speaker 5: That's why you asked that question. And you just said
- 44:28Speaker 5: one of them. That's why you That's why you said that.
- 44:31Speaker 3: You hear like from your boys or anybody personally.
- 44:33Speaker 1: You know, I heard.
- 44:34Speaker 5: I heard it all Taylor knows he wants me saying
- 44:36Speaker 5: he just wait by moment. He's not so big, he
- 44:39Speaker 5: waited by moment alive.
- 44:41Speaker 1: It was all. It was all the jokes.
- 44:43Speaker 5: But you know, I welcome, I welcome, and all I
- 44:45Speaker 5: was I was balling doing my things.
- 44:47Speaker 1: Yeah I don't really care. You were doing your thing.
- 44:49Speaker 1: That was my question.
- 44:50Speaker 4: That was you were doing that thing, all right, So
- 44:52Speaker 4: the season, obviously it's hard to be running back in
- 44:55Speaker 4: this league. You just said how hard it is like
- 44:56Speaker 4: from college to the NFL. It's got to be equally as
- 44:59Speaker 4: hard when injuries happened in front of you, Like Ben
- 45:03Speaker 4: Jones went down this year.
- 45:03Speaker 1: Ben Jones never goes down.
- 45:06Speaker 4: He's always there, And yeah, I went down, Nate went down.
- 45:11Speaker 4: We had Dylan for ten seconds in the Chargers game.
- 45:13Speaker 1: He went down.
- 45:14Speaker 4: Who else Brewer, our smallest guy, made it through the
- 45:18Speaker 4: whole entire season unscathed.
- 45:19Speaker 1: It seems like, yeah, how was that?
- 45:21Speaker 4: Like was there a time obviously not coming out the
- 45:24Speaker 4: players at all, but for you being like frustrated, like damn,
- 45:27Speaker 4: because how we do has a lot to do with
- 45:29Speaker 4: your success. Obviously you're still bald. Yeah, but I'm saying,
- 45:32Speaker 4: does that like effect? There's got to be a level
- 45:36Speaker 4: of frustration for you during the season when you see
- 45:38Speaker 4: guys going down over and over again.
- 45:40Speaker 5: Not really a frustration for me, but I just feel
- 45:43Speaker 5: frustrated for my teammates everybody that went down, because I
- 45:47Speaker 5: see y'all and as far as you working your way
- 45:50Speaker 5: back and excited for the season, you know, we have
- 45:53Speaker 5: our talks and we do all that, and just to
- 45:55Speaker 5: see it and how quickly it did frustrated for you
- 45:57Speaker 5: because I know how much you love his game and
- 45:59Speaker 5: you know how much you love playing ball, and you
- 46:02Speaker 5: know all the success that you had and then we've
- 46:04Speaker 5: been the same thing. You know, we all like brothers,
- 46:07Speaker 5: you know, we family have been together for so long.
- 46:09Speaker 5: And to see all y'all just you know, go down
- 46:11Speaker 5: and not be able to finish the season and do
- 46:13Speaker 5: the things that we've always done throughout the season, it
- 46:16Speaker 5: was just that was probably the tough part. But to me,
- 46:18Speaker 5: I just try to focus on, you know, what what
- 46:20Speaker 5: I need to do to help us win and and
- 46:23Speaker 5: and do all that, which it was different because different bodies,
- 46:27Speaker 5: you know, new guys, you know, everybody, everybody's different. So
- 46:31Speaker 5: but it was definitely tough this year just because it
- 46:34Speaker 5: was so many different guys just coming in and you know,
- 46:37Speaker 5: trying to pick up our scheme and you know, style
- 46:41Speaker 5: we play and the day I felt like those guys
- 46:43Speaker 5: try to do the best job they can to fill
- 46:45Speaker 5: in for y'all. But I mean it was still tough
- 46:48Speaker 5: because we you know, we chemistry, you know.
- 46:51Speaker 2: Yeah, how does it change the way you run the rock,
- 46:54Speaker 2: Like has it changed? Like yeah, all that stuff. Also
- 46:56Speaker 2: you're one of your like the best to do it.
- 46:58Speaker 2: It's like, how does it? How does that uh change
- 47:01Speaker 2: the way you go out there and play, Like if
- 47:04Speaker 2: you're trying to get to know lineman, you're talking about
- 47:05Speaker 2: chemistry and everything else. It is it things that you
- 47:07Speaker 2: gotta more so look at on film or talk on
- 47:09Speaker 2: the lineman or is it just always like a feel
- 47:12Speaker 2: thing for you.
- 47:13Speaker 5: No, I'm always gonna play the same. I think, you know,
- 47:16Speaker 5: I think watching y'all and be in the room with
- 47:18Speaker 5: y'all and knowing that's all we want to play. And
- 47:20Speaker 5: you know how we all with the ring game. I
- 47:22Speaker 5: feel like they you know, gotta you know it from
- 47:25Speaker 5: y'all being around y'all. So I played the same. I
- 47:27Speaker 5: don't try to worry about who's blocking this and that
- 47:30Speaker 5: you have. You got your job and I'm gonna do mine.
- 47:32Speaker 5: So yeah, it.
- 47:33Speaker 2: Doesn't take your eyes anywhere differently. No, I'm just trying
- 47:36Speaker 2: to put myself in your shoes. I'm like, okay, if
- 47:37Speaker 2: there could be you know, because I'm I'm I'm maybe
- 47:40Speaker 2: I'm gonna take my eyes here on this.
- 47:42Speaker 5: I'm basically looking at it because I'm too busy looking
- 47:44Speaker 5: at the look the deepensis given, so I don't really
- 47:45Speaker 5: you know, everybody gotta got their job.
- 47:47Speaker 1: But yeah, I mean it was. It was definitely tough.
- 47:51Speaker 4: Well, it definite plays because it's a difficult offense to
- 47:53Speaker 4: run for an offensive lineman. It's a unique offense that
- 47:55Speaker 4: like four or five offenses in the league deal. But
- 47:58Speaker 4: like it all depends on stretch, Like if one gets
- 48:00Speaker 4: more stretching than another, you have to cut back plays faster.
- 48:04Speaker 4: Now that's a reaction thing for you, but that does
- 48:07Speaker 4: like I could see myself in your shoes getting frustrated
- 48:10Speaker 4: because it's like, damn, I want to do so well.
- 48:13Speaker 4: Like I see you and how you work and how
- 48:16Speaker 4: you handle yourself on a day to day basis inside
- 48:18Speaker 4: the building. It's like Derek wants to be great every
- 48:21Speaker 4: like he wants to be great and he wants like
- 48:24Speaker 4: them to be like, hey, we're running the ball, and
- 48:26Speaker 4: Derek's running the ball, and this is why we're gonna win.
- 48:28Speaker 4: Like you appreciate and you accept that responsibility. And then
- 48:32Speaker 4: if I'm like you're used to stretching a ball a
- 48:34Speaker 4: certain certain time or a certain amount of steps and now,
- 48:37Speaker 4: like you, someone's out, so you can't or you can't
- 48:39Speaker 4: make that cutback because Ben's not there and the other
- 48:42Speaker 4: person in there doesn't have the skill set that Ben does.
- 48:45Speaker 1: I can see it being difficult.
- 48:46Speaker 5: Yeah, especially because you know Ben, you y'all seen a
- 48:49Speaker 5: lot of balls. So guys who who come in there
- 48:51Speaker 5: know having you know, you know, seeing different looks and
- 48:54Speaker 5: things like that and got in that fire like that.
- 48:57Speaker 5: So then it's gonna be some it's gonna be some adjustment,
- 49:00Speaker 5: it's gonna be different. Guys can't do what other guys
- 49:02Speaker 5: do just because they've been been in the system for
- 49:04Speaker 5: a long time. And like you said, it's kind of
- 49:05Speaker 5: it can be hard for some offensive linement if they
- 49:07Speaker 5: haven't done it, you know, for a long time, which
- 49:10Speaker 5: y'all have, And I understand that. At the end of
- 49:12Speaker 5: the day, I just try to get them confidence to
- 49:13Speaker 5: be like, bro, it is what it is. This is
- 49:16Speaker 5: what it is, is what we're gonna go out with.
- 49:17Speaker 5: Let's let's go ball. But at the same time, you know,
- 49:20Speaker 5: you know, everybody's skill set is different.
- 49:22Speaker 1: But at the end of the day, we all got
- 49:23Speaker 1: a job to do. It.
- 49:24Speaker 5: I have and I had the job to do, so
- 49:25Speaker 5: I'm gona try to go out there in ball regardless. Yeah.
- 49:28Speaker 2: Yeah, what was it like your first time getting getting injured? Actually,
- 49:31Speaker 2: I don't even know if it was your first actual
- 49:32Speaker 2: time getting in It's the first time I ever got
- 49:34Speaker 2: surgery really, no, no, no, no. I had surgery in college, I.
- 49:37Speaker 1: Think you said. The first time getting surgery in the NFL. Yeah,
- 49:40Speaker 1: it was tough, you know, I was. I was hurt.
- 49:44Speaker 5: You know, it was definitely different from me because it
- 49:45Speaker 5: was my first time actually getting surgery during the season,
- 49:48Speaker 5: missing the whole season.
- 49:49Speaker 1: That's never happened before, so that so that.
- 49:51Speaker 5: Was different, and I was just like I had to
- 49:53Speaker 5: take a grasp of that and the kind of realization
- 49:55Speaker 5: of what happened. And you know, it was tough because
- 49:59Speaker 5: watching games and you know, just being at the house
- 50:03Speaker 5: and watching y'all play. Then that was the other s
- 50:05Speaker 5: toughest part because I want to be a part of
- 50:07Speaker 5: that and nothing like that never happened. For like I said,
- 50:10Speaker 5: with me being out for the whole season and trying
- 50:13Speaker 5: to work my way back and doing everything I can
- 50:16Speaker 5: to get back, kind of kind of made me sit
- 50:19Speaker 5: back and you know, look at things different. And like see,
- 50:23Speaker 5: you know, thinging a different everything in a different light
- 50:26Speaker 5: as far as what's going on and everything around me
- 50:30Speaker 5: and people change too, So yeah, different.
- 50:33Speaker 2: You feel like you feel like it was more mentally
- 50:37Speaker 2: trying than you thought it would be. That then maybe
- 50:39Speaker 2: you anticipated, I want to say thought like anticipated, because
- 50:43Speaker 2: I guess I'm trying to like being in your shoes,
- 50:46Speaker 2: like you're part of this team. You got all the boys,
- 50:48Speaker 2: you got aj Brown, you just got you get Julio.
- 50:50Speaker 2: You're like, hey, this is gonna be the team where
- 50:52Speaker 2: we do it. You ran two thousand years before and
- 50:55Speaker 2: for two thousand and years before.
- 50:57Speaker 3: Now we get an extra game. I'm about to break all.
- 50:59Speaker 2: I'm about to all this stuff, Like obviously you have
- 51:02Speaker 2: personal ambitions and then obviously team ambitions as well. And
- 51:05Speaker 2: then again it comes to a stop and then you're
- 51:06Speaker 2: going through all that your type. You're sitting there saying,
- 51:09Speaker 2: I sat back and kind of re evaluating, assess things
- 51:11Speaker 2: a little bit differently. Do you feel like those trying
- 51:14Speaker 2: times were, you know, harder mentally than you anticipated them being.
- 51:18Speaker 5: Yeah, definitely it was mentally it was it was tough
- 51:22Speaker 5: mentally for real, because like you said, everything was was
- 51:26Speaker 5: going then just stop, everything to stop and all you
- 51:29Speaker 5: got to sit there, especially with breaking the bone time,
- 51:34Speaker 5: so you know, having surgery and then going through that part.
- 51:37Speaker 5: And then I think once I got like, was able
- 51:41Speaker 5: to rehab and stuff started speeding up a little bit.
- 51:44Speaker 1: But mentally, yeah, it was.
- 51:45Speaker 5: It was definitely tough because I'm just like man, I mean,
- 51:48Speaker 5: that's all I know. You know, I put so much
- 51:50Speaker 5: work and so much time into football, and you know,
- 51:54Speaker 5: when it's the season time, that's all I'm so all,
- 51:56Speaker 5: I'm worried about it.
- 51:56Speaker 1: So I'm all I'm thinking about.
- 51:58Speaker 5: I mean, all love this game and you know, for
- 52:01Speaker 5: everything to stop, just like man. But at the end
- 52:04Speaker 5: of the day, I just had to put faith in
- 52:06Speaker 5: the man above and trust what was going on.
- 52:09Speaker 1: And you know, trust is this journey for me.
- 52:14Speaker 5: And then worked hard to get back and I was
- 52:16Speaker 5: able to get back, which wasn't good enough, but you know,
- 52:19Speaker 5: I'm just happy to be able to get back and
- 52:22Speaker 5: then work in the off season and then finished the season.
- 52:25Speaker 5: You know, this year with the injury, because a lot
- 52:28Speaker 5: of guys the injury and the stuff to come back from,
- 52:30Speaker 5: but a lot of guys have came back from it.
- 52:32Speaker 5: You know, reached out to Julio, which he had two surgeries,
- 52:34Speaker 5: two surgeries on it, and they kind of gave me
- 52:36Speaker 5: some encouragement about it.
- 52:38Speaker 1: It was, it was. It was tough. It was different,
- 52:41Speaker 1: but everybody's a different testament. That's a sad thing. I
- 52:45Speaker 1: mean I remember that.
- 52:45Speaker 4: I remember the Colts came and you going up to
- 52:48Speaker 4: you after that series.
- 52:49Speaker 1: I mean, like you like, I think I sucked my
- 52:51Speaker 1: my foot up. My foot hurts.
- 52:53Speaker 4: It's masically all you said.
- 52:54Speaker 1: I played three quarters with the broken foot was I
- 52:58Speaker 1: didn't know. I kind of I feel it was broke,
- 53:00Speaker 1: and I was like, you just don' want to believe it.
- 53:01Speaker 5: I'm like, man, an it was. It was killing me
- 53:05Speaker 5: though the whole the whole game. I'm like, man, thing
- 53:07Speaker 5: hurting walking on it to walking on it. I mean,
- 53:10Speaker 5: it was. It was killing me. I knew after the game.
- 53:12Speaker 5: I'm like, oh, man, then when then you we got
- 53:15Speaker 5: X rays? Bro that was looking the X ray his
- 53:17Speaker 5: I got big. I said, what's going on?
- 53:19Speaker 1: Bro? What was the doctor? That guy when his eyes
- 53:21Speaker 1: got big, the petty the petty and he was like
- 53:24Speaker 1: it just like yeah, you broke.
- 53:28Speaker 5: fIF Mont of Tarsel was known as a Jones fracture
- 53:31Speaker 5: and I was like, Okay, when can I get back?
- 53:33Speaker 1: It was like, uh, I don't know about that. It
- 53:37Speaker 1: might it might be a while.
- 53:39Speaker 4: And I was like, whoa, yeah, because you came back
- 53:42Speaker 4: in the locker room me and Ben and waited for you.
- 53:45Speaker 4: The whole locker room was cleared out, and me and
- 53:46Speaker 4: them like, we're gonna wait for the Derek and he
- 53:47Speaker 4: walked back in looking sad, sad as hell, and I
- 53:51Speaker 4: was like, hey, what's up.
- 53:51Speaker 1: You're like.
- 53:52Speaker 4: He just whispered I'm done and then described his towel
- 53:54Speaker 4: and went and showered.
- 53:57Speaker 1: That was tough.
- 53:58Speaker 4: It was sweet, especially Ben and I like there's not
- 54:02Speaker 4: a whole lot of accolades we can hang our hat
- 54:03Speaker 4: on to be like this is like this is us.
- 54:07Speaker 4: And when you were having the year that was like
- 54:11Speaker 4: the fucking year. You're at like nine hundred and thirty
- 54:13Speaker 4: seven yards and we're like, dude, we're really good at
- 54:16Speaker 4: I know, we're really later in the year. At the
- 54:18Speaker 4: end of the year, he was still top five and
- 54:20Speaker 4: rushing or just was six.
- 54:23Speaker 1: Jonathan Taylor talk about Jonathan Taylor MVP, I know, which is.
- 54:29Speaker 4: Crazy because everyone was like everyone's counting Derek out and
- 54:31Speaker 4: we're like, Yo, this guy's balling right now, I know,
- 54:34Speaker 4: going crazy, and we're all like this is gonna be
- 54:38Speaker 4: like it's your success. But we were looking at us like, damn,
- 54:40Speaker 4: this is our year. Is the year that we're gonna
- 54:43Speaker 4: get Derek the record? Yeah, man, bro, I'm sure, yeah,
- 54:47Speaker 4: I'm sure that that was. And two with the bone, Uh,
- 54:51Speaker 4: you can't, it can't. It's like it goes at its
- 54:53Speaker 4: own pace. No, you can't sit there and rehabit.
- 54:55Speaker 2: You can do a little bost Machine seven Like I'm
- 55:00Speaker 2: gonna do everything I can to get.
- 55:01Speaker 1: Back, and I'm not knowing to have patience, but I
- 55:03Speaker 1: had had to have patience with that. You have a
- 55:05Speaker 1: choice with the have patience for sure.
- 55:06Speaker 4: Do you think was there a possibility you heard it
- 55:09Speaker 4: more or was it just like, hey, that's as a
- 55:10Speaker 4: clear fracture it as what it is.
- 55:12Speaker 1: I think I heard it. I would assume yes, I.
- 55:15Speaker 4: Would hear more about playing, which is crazy because if
- 55:18Speaker 4: you look back, you go, oh, I got to get
- 55:20Speaker 4: out of the game right away. Like if that happens,
- 55:21Speaker 4: like if you have the knowledge you do now, you're like, oh,
- 55:25Speaker 4: I got to get out right now. And you just
- 55:27Speaker 4: let it ride because we won. I don't know, like
- 55:30Speaker 4: sixty eight yards rushing.
- 55:31Speaker 5: Yeah, I know, but it was a tough sled, But
- 55:33Speaker 5: I don't know. I still would have played. Did you
- 55:35Speaker 5: break one in that game?
- 55:37Speaker 1: No? Thank god? Yeah that would have been a tough.
- 55:40Speaker 2: Look you've been hopping on one leg trying to get
- 55:42Speaker 2: the end zone.
- 55:43Speaker 1: I wouldn't have made it at all. It was hurting.
- 55:45Speaker 4: Yeah, you can tell too. Then this last game this
- 55:48Speaker 4: year when you played at the Colts and you were
- 55:50Speaker 4: you were balling again. You were going off like I've
- 55:52Speaker 4: never seen usually when you score, Like we joke all
- 55:55Speaker 4: the time, like it's just big eyes and kind of
- 55:58Speaker 4: all right back to the sideline, you know. But like
- 56:00Speaker 4: when you were watching the game, I think we were
- 56:02Speaker 4: texting in a group being like, Derek is legit. I've
- 56:05Speaker 4: never seen passion like that from you getting in the
- 56:07Speaker 4: in it really was.
- 56:12Speaker 5: I was asking what it was, like, what gotten in you?
- 56:14Speaker 5: You do your helmet off and doing all this episode.
- 56:16Speaker 5: I was like, man, I was just in a moment.
- 56:17Speaker 5: I don't know, just in the moment it's got it.
- 56:19Speaker 5: There's got to be some sort of like emotional.
- 56:21Speaker 4: When you get hurt somewhere because the Indianapolis Stadium is
- 56:25Speaker 4: so unique because that's where everyone, every single person's NFL
- 56:28Speaker 4: journey starts.
- 56:29Speaker 1: That is invited to be combine.
- 56:31Speaker 4: You get to go, you get to go to the combine,
- 56:33Speaker 4: You run there, you look around.
- 56:34Speaker 1: You're like, this is a legit NFL stadium. I had
- 56:38Speaker 1: to rephrase the question halfway through.
- 56:43Speaker 4: But like everyone starts to Comba, so for whatever reason,
- 56:46Speaker 4: like everyone has in their head when they walk out there,
- 56:48Speaker 4: like this is where it all starts, all started for me,
- 56:50Speaker 4: and that's where you one of your seasons was ended.
- 56:53Speaker 4: So there's got to be a place you you went
- 56:56Speaker 4: to before that game, because we know how you keep receipts.
- 56:59Speaker 4: We are very where how you said in the past,
- 57:01Speaker 4: like I don't keep receipts, but I remember that's how
- 57:04Speaker 4: you phrased the last podcast.
- 57:06Speaker 5: Yes, yeah, I definitely wanted to be a different ending
- 57:11Speaker 5: other than when I got hurt, which still I would hurt,
- 57:14Speaker 5: but I didn't have a great game. So I'm just like, man,
- 57:17Speaker 5: I got to go out there and put out a
- 57:19Speaker 5: different result this game, and that's just my main focus,
- 57:21Speaker 5: and we end up winning and I got played all right.
- 57:25Speaker 1: I wanted to play.
- 57:26Speaker 2: But all right, I appreciate you talking about the injury
- 57:29Speaker 2: stuff because I just feel like a lot of like
- 57:30Speaker 2: every probably running back in the world probably looks up
- 57:32Speaker 2: to you and people people get hurt. Are like times
- 57:36Speaker 2: where it doesn't make any sense at all, and it's like,
- 57:39Speaker 2: you know, you speaking on it, it's almost like shedding,
- 57:43Speaker 2: like like, hey, these are these are like man, Derek,
- 57:45Speaker 2: Derek went through something like this.
- 57:47Speaker 1: You know, it was real.
- 57:47Speaker 2: It's like maybe I'm maybe I'm impatient. He talked about,
- 57:50Speaker 2: oh I had to be patient. He had to do
- 57:51Speaker 2: it too, and you kind of like lean in, like
- 57:53Speaker 2: I want to be like Derek.
- 57:54Speaker 5: Yeah, for sure, it was tough. It was never easy.
- 57:58Speaker 5: You always appreciate the adversity, you know, versus Bill's character.
- 58:02Speaker 5: It definitely made me better, made me tougher going to
- 58:07Speaker 5: something like that. She wanted the middle of the season
- 58:09Speaker 5: and everything was going well. I wanted to and everything
- 58:12Speaker 5: to stop. But that's how life. Life is. It stops
- 58:17Speaker 5: and you have bumps in the road. I get over
- 58:21Speaker 5: them and try to come out on top at the
- 58:24Speaker 5: end of the day.
- 58:25Speaker 2: So, yeah, do you ever think about you've had the
- 58:28Speaker 2: two you have the two thousand yard seasons you run
- 58:31Speaker 2: your ass off, bro, but getting hurt the last time,
- 58:34Speaker 2: do you ever think about your mortality more now in
- 58:36Speaker 2: this league as you continue to get older as far
- 58:39Speaker 2: as like coming you know, when the ending could be
- 58:42Speaker 2: for you or how many more years you could possibly
- 58:44Speaker 2: have in the tank. And then because usually an injury
- 58:48Speaker 2: the injured season, you're like, fuck.
- 58:49Speaker 4: Man, I guess it makes you reflecting, like damn I
- 58:52Speaker 4: am human?
- 58:52Speaker 5: Yeah right, yeah, yeah, definitely, you know, kind of brings
- 58:57Speaker 5: you to to reality a little bit, especially with you know,
- 59:00Speaker 5: I was having a lot of success and then everything
- 59:02Speaker 5: stopped and then it went to like, oh, he's getting older,
- 59:06Speaker 5: the jury might slow him down and all.
- 59:07Speaker 1: That type of stuff.
- 59:08Speaker 5: And you know, it's a different outlook of everything because
- 59:11Speaker 5: before it was like he's a bass this and that,
- 59:14Speaker 5: and then it's like, oh, the jury's gonna slow him down.
- 59:17Speaker 5: He's not the same. But you know, you try to
- 59:20Speaker 5: block out the noise and then go back to work.
- 59:21Speaker 5: But I don't try to put like a limit on
- 59:24Speaker 5: how long I want to play or how I'm feeling.
- 59:27Speaker 1: You know, I just go play.
- 59:28Speaker 5: You know, I love this game, and I'm continue to
- 59:31Speaker 5: work as hard as I can. To play as long
- 59:33Speaker 5: as I can, and when I feel like I'm ready
- 59:35Speaker 5: to hang it up, and I hang it up. But
- 59:37Speaker 5: you know, every player probably wants to end it on
- 59:40Speaker 5: their terms, and sometimes it don't go that way. But
- 59:43Speaker 5: like I said, I just put my faith in the
- 59:45Speaker 5: man above and then whenever it's supposed to end this,
- 59:48Speaker 5: it's going in. But until then, I'm gonna focus on
- 59:50Speaker 5: getting better and keep balling and doing everybody can and
- 59:53Speaker 5: be one of the best in the league and one
- 59:54Speaker 5: of the best players on my team to hep us win.
- 59:56Speaker 5: So that's always to go, you know what I'm saying.
- 59:59Speaker 4: So it's a scary it's a it's a it's a
- 1:00:02Speaker 4: scary thought, like because you don't want the Titans to
- 1:00:05Speaker 4: go into a rebuild rebuild year with you with a
- 1:00:09Speaker 4: lot of good ball left, and I just I want
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: so bad. You made me laugh so hard just now,
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: I looked.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: I cried a little bit.
- 1:00:17Speaker 4: I want so badly for the I want so ballet
- 1:00:20Speaker 4: for the Titans to do well, and I just hope
- 1:00:22Speaker 4: that like they can do whatever they need to do
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: this year to like make sure it's like all right,
- 1:00:27Speaker 4: we're a playoff containing AFC Syle champion team again. And
- 1:00:30Speaker 4: I guess a better question is like, do you think
- 1:00:33Speaker 4: you do that through the draft or you do that
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: through trades? Because the Rams up until this year they
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: were they traded like we got to win now, Like
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: you're a generational talent, Derek Henry is a generational talent.
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: How do we make sure Derek doesn't get wasted?
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: I think as far as me, I don't think I
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: need to be the focal point. I think it's like,
- 1:00:55Speaker 5: what do we do on all three phases, especially offense,
- 1:01:01Speaker 5: you know, to you know, help the team better and to.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: Play better as an offense as well.
- 1:01:10Speaker 5: And I think you just see, see what's out there,
- 1:01:13Speaker 5: see what you got to do as far as strategy wise, Again,
- 1:01:16Speaker 5: this is above my my pray, my pay grade. But
- 1:01:20Speaker 5: you know, I just want us to get back to
- 1:01:22Speaker 5: how we were playing and doing the things that things
- 1:01:25Speaker 5: that we were doing. I mean, I want I want
- 1:01:27Speaker 5: to win the championship championship here so bad, and we
- 1:01:29Speaker 5: want to bring the first one to Nashville. But at
- 1:01:33Speaker 5: the end of the day, you know, we just got
- 1:01:34Speaker 5: to get you know, pieces in here to put it
- 1:01:36Speaker 5: all together all together to make your work and you know,
- 1:01:40Speaker 5: Hopefully that happened this off season and we'll be able
- 1:01:44Speaker 5: to do that. Bring some guys in to help us,
- 1:01:46Speaker 5: you know, spring us forward and or then make some
- 1:01:49Speaker 5: plays and go out get back to balling and doing
- 1:01:51Speaker 5: what we.
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: Do to be successful. For the Titans to truly be successful,
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: we can't just be Derrick Henry gets the ball like
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: you need to get tough and you need to get
- 1:02:01Speaker 4: twenty twenty five touches a game to be successful. But
- 1:02:03Speaker 4: we have to be able to push the ball down
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: the field. From an aerial standpoint.
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: What do you think it is built to the draft trads?
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: What I mean, at the end of the day, and
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: it happens you're under contract, I think you're a Titan
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: next year.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: Like you guys are both ties next year. I can
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: be the guy who asked the question happen Yeah, But then.
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: Then you got to you got to fix the offens
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: the line that's like you, that is I think the
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: number one thing that the Tennee Times need to do
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: is they to fix the offens the line. They need
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: I Ben retires in a final center, they didn't find
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: a left tackle. They need to find a right guard.
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: If Nate doesn't sign back, You need to hope that
- 1:02:32Speaker 4: Nick Nick Petite develops more from a rookie and takes
- 1:02:36Speaker 4: a step in the next year.
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: Need a wide receiver.
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: You need a wide receiver like and you got to
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: figure out why the fuck these injuries are happening. It
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: happens once it's understandable. Freak things happened this season that
- 1:02:48Speaker 4: was crazy. We sat the record, we're still the number
- 1:02:50Speaker 4: one seeing the a FFC South. Now it's like it
- 1:02:53Speaker 4: happens two years in a row. What is happening on
- 1:02:55Speaker 4: that football field for the Titans to be hurt? I
- 1:02:57Speaker 4: don't think it's Mike Rabel's problem. I think very takes
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: these guys that are older and guys are his stud players,
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: and he gives them opportunities to get healthy and stay healthy.
- 1:03:06Speaker 4: But for whatever reason, it's not happening.
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: So why why does that happen? Well, you need to
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: figure that out objectively.
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: There's there's two areas. There's the strength and condition you're in,
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: there's the training room area. Yeah, but I'm saying like,
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: if you're talking about if we're if we're asking questions
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: on you know, if we want to play armchair GM,
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: then we got to be able to we gotta be
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: able to ejectually say okay, well what's happening on the field.
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: It's like, well, there's the two areas you look at.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what I mean. I understand what you're saying, Like,
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: if you.
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: Want to go down the road of you know, hey,
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: do you do you let go of the strength staff
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: or the training room.
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: You know what I mean.
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: And I don't think it would be fair to put
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: either of you guys in to say yes or no.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: I don't think.
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: I think Todd Torseli is a phenomenal trainer, head trainer
- 1:03:50Speaker 4: in this league. I think he's got a great staff.
- 1:03:53Speaker 4: I think Frank is a good strength coach. But maybe
- 1:03:57Speaker 4: bring other people in like you would do in any business,
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: to help evaluate and say these are things you can
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: do better, these are things you could improve on, and
- 1:04:05Speaker 4: then you guys give them the reins and the tools
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: and say all right, now, you guys go go do
- 1:04:09Speaker 4: these things. I'm not saying you need to replace Frank
- 1:04:12Speaker 4: or Todd or their staff because you do not. I
- 1:04:14Speaker 4: think those are I like them individually, and I think
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: they're good at their jobs. But I'm just saying, just
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: going off of what you're saying.
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: What I was getting at is if we kind of
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: stopped there and we kind of played the whole question
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: and then we kind of just let it be in
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: the clouds, then it leaves it up for translation for
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: everybody else out there watching, like, oh, they could be
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: alluding to this, they could be alluding to that, right
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: or you know, you get into like you could bring
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: in I'm talking about players.
- 1:04:39Speaker 4: Yeah, and this whole like like there said this is
- 1:04:43Speaker 4: above all of our pay grades to where this is
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: like hey, it's not even worth touching because I don't know,
- 1:04:49Speaker 4: I don't know how to keep myself healthy, let alone
- 1:04:51Speaker 4: an entire team. So I would say, like, look at,
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: like how do we get players in because if you
- 1:04:56Speaker 4: look at our roster in camp starting day one of camp,
- 1:05:00Speaker 4: it's a good roster. We have good players. You're missing
- 1:05:02Speaker 4: AJ Brown Hindsight's twenty twenty. We missed on that. That sucks.
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: I'm sure John will like take that back if you could.
- 1:05:08Speaker 4: I'm sure there's the actual truth that both sides are
- 1:05:12Speaker 4: embellishing to help themselves a little bit better. Yeah, but
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: obviously you wish A J. Brown was on this team,
- 1:05:17Speaker 4: But our roster wasn't bad looking at all. We had
- 1:05:22Speaker 4: a solid offensive line on the roster with a good
- 1:05:24Speaker 4: right tyle competition going on. Our defense, our front seven
- 1:05:28Speaker 4: is was incredible. Our back end, you had Roger McCrery,
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: who's a young guy, but bald this year did well
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: for a rookie, Like I don't know if he was
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: on any all rookie teams, but he should have been.
- 1:05:39Speaker 4: And then you have Hooker and KB and Hooker got
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: hurt too this year and Fulton who also got hurt.
- 1:05:45Speaker 4: He missed how many games? Six games?
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: Sure, yeah he missed.
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: He missed a handful of games. Yeah, But I'm saying,
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: like you look at the the week one roster and
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: I have a the week one roster, the going into
- 1:05:57Speaker 4: camp roster. I think a good team. How do you
- 1:05:59Speaker 4: keep guys healthy? But who do you get? Like you
- 1:06:02Speaker 4: got to fix the all lot that's number one thing.
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: You know.
- 1:06:04Speaker 5: I mean as far as like you know, what's happened
- 1:06:07Speaker 5: in these past year, like like a few years, with
- 1:06:09Speaker 5: these two years with injuries, I think it's just an
- 1:06:12Speaker 5: evaluation of everybody. What can we all do better to
- 1:06:15Speaker 5: improve you know, the organizations, you know, through players and
- 1:06:21Speaker 5: how we play and the injuries and just for everybody
- 1:06:25Speaker 5: accept evaluation. What can I do to help, you know,
- 1:06:29Speaker 5: us be better as whole. And I think that's that's
- 1:06:32Speaker 5: that is needed because these past two years it's been
- 1:06:35Speaker 5: it's been rough with injuries and all those types of things,
- 1:06:38Speaker 5: and we just never had like a a series of where,
- 1:06:42Speaker 5: you know, we had a couple of games we had
- 1:06:43Speaker 5: everybody and everybody felt good and everybody was healthy.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: So it's just like, how can we get to that?
- 1:06:48Speaker 5: How how are these teams sustaining, you know, keeping their players,
- 1:06:52Speaker 5: you know, throughout the whole season.
- 1:06:53Speaker 4: How does Roger Staffold get injured a whole bunch of
- 1:06:56Speaker 4: the Titans and goes to the Buffalo Bills and has
- 1:06:58Speaker 4: not injured the whole season and plays well.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: This year?
- 1:07:02Speaker 4: He's in bald this year, right, and he's a year
- 1:07:04Speaker 4: older with less tread on the tires. Again, And this
- 1:07:07Speaker 4: is not me coming out the Times because I am.
- 1:07:10Speaker 4: Everybody knows I am.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: I'm definitely because I'm an organization.
- 1:07:13Speaker 4: So I'm excited and for now I am too there Okay,
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: like two or three more weeks less than the old
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: belt here, But I'm saying I'm not coming out the Times.
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: I think just like if I am the owner, if
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: I'm Amy, that's the number one thing I'm fixing or
- 1:07:27Speaker 4: trying to figure out how to fix is why are
- 1:07:29Speaker 4: these injuries happening?
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: And how can we stop them from happening?
- 1:07:32Speaker 4: Because injury rate in the NFL is one hundred percent,
- 1:07:34Speaker 4: but you hope it's one hundred percent for like two
- 1:07:37Speaker 4: three guys a year and then you have the rest
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: of your your core foundational team. But like even Jeff
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: said in his exit his last interview, uh in the
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: JAG's locker room, He's like, I've been shooting at my
- 1:07:48Speaker 4: ankle every single week for eight weeks and jefs a dog,
- 1:07:52Speaker 4: but it' sh it's tough.
- 1:07:53Speaker 5: I feel like, I mean, ours training staff and strengthy
- 1:07:57Speaker 5: conditions staff do a great job, but just like, I mean,
- 1:08:00Speaker 5: how can we all improve on helping one another? And
- 1:08:05Speaker 5: you know, everybody's staying healthy and being out there being available.
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: Because your best ability is availability. So yeah, yeah, feel
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: about Uh.
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: DeAndre Hopkins tweet tweet out posted was.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: That was from twenty twenty.
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: Wow it's a resurface.
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, knowing that we that we could use
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: a receiver you Lamar Jackson the trio. The Yeah, the
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: tweet that has resurfaced from twenty twenty how many touchdowns
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: between lamars?
- 1:08:39Speaker 3: How would you feel about that trio being in Tennessee.
- 1:08:42Speaker 5: I saw no where they were saying that the Cardinals
- 1:08:46Speaker 5: are looking to We're looking to trade hop Who who
- 1:08:50Speaker 5: who wouldn't want to play with hop He's a Hall
- 1:08:51Speaker 5: of Fame wide receiver, right.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: And the same thing with Lamar Jackson.
- 1:08:55Speaker 5: But I don't think it's going to happen, you know,
- 1:08:58Speaker 5: I don't think there's if not not not going to
- 1:09:01Speaker 5: let Lamar go, He's not going anywhere. And then DeAndre
- 1:09:04Speaker 5: Hopkins depends on what makes sense for your team and
- 1:09:08Speaker 5: what they want to as far as the cap space
- 1:09:12Speaker 5: and if they have a cat space for him. So
- 1:09:14Speaker 5: you know, he's a great receiver. You know, I love
- 1:09:17Speaker 5: to play with you know, DeAndre Hopkins. I mean, i'd
- 1:09:19Speaker 5: be surreal. You know, he's a dog. But I mean
- 1:09:23Speaker 5: it depends on what what makes sense, which, like I said,
- 1:09:25Speaker 5: that's about my PRAI grade, I don't, I don't know, but.
- 1:09:27Speaker 4: You gotta got like DeAndre Hopkins on the outside, and
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: you can't stack the box like that.
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: Yeah, people help everybody, for sure.
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: Everybody another question, like what was it like on game
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: day watching a J Brown do a J Brown against Tennessee.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: Or I mean I expect anything less.
- 1:09:44Speaker 5: I know aj is gonna go off because I've seen
- 1:09:47Speaker 5: it here, so ajna gonna do what he do.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: He's a dog. Bro.
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: When they when they had the penalty and then he
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: did it the second time, yes, you can't do nothing
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: but just be like man, yeah in.
- 1:10:00Speaker 4: The sidelines like damn, yeah, he really did it.
- 1:10:04Speaker 5: I know the single receiving record at philis first year,
- 1:10:10Speaker 5: so you really yet.
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: I feel like that was I feel like that was
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: the strong that broke the camel's back when maybe over
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: fifteen hundred and we don't have to get into all
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: the J Rob stuff, but I feel like that, like
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: objectively me being on the fourteen ninety crazy But I
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: always told him, I said, man, you get the opportunity,
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: you're gonna go crazy.
- 1:10:27Speaker 5: And you got the opportunity. You see what he did
- 1:10:29Speaker 5: with it. I texted him said, I'm proud of you, bro.
- 1:10:30Speaker 5: Just keep going faintish strong, and you're doing you.
- 1:10:33Speaker 3: Bro.
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: He got out the times right of the playoffs.
- 1:10:36Speaker 4: Who do you think you're going to see in the
- 1:10:37Speaker 4: Super Bowl's Philly in the Super Bowl.
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: I don't think so. I think it's the Niners. I
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: think it's Buffalo nine stuff. But you just you never know.
- 1:10:49Speaker 4: You're really staying away from Kansas City still, Huh, I
- 1:10:52Speaker 4: think Buffalo.
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: I think you can go either way. It could be
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: Kansas City or could do a Buffalo.
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not going to root for Kansas City if
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: they play against Buffalo.
- 1:10:59Speaker 3: Really, if they play for any against anybody.
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: Why do you hate Kansas City so much? I don't.
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: I don't hate Kansas City so much. I know I
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: kind of reacted right there. I don't hate Kansas City
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: so much. We get beat up again.
- 1:11:10Speaker 3: It's just I'm not going to like root for them,
- 1:11:13Speaker 3: you know what I mean?
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel you.
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: Like being like playing for the Raiders, like that's their
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: biggest rival.
- 1:11:20Speaker 5: I mean, you just I don't know, you just I mean,
- 1:11:22Speaker 5: you really never know. Because since he's since he's good too.
- 1:11:25Speaker 5: Now again again talk about two teams.
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: But I would always argue against my mom to my
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: mom love Kansas City, and I always be like I
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: was pro Dallas. But I would just argue my mom
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: that she was dumb rooting for Kansas City they were
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: always gonna let her down. They've obviously done well recently,
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: but uh recently. That's I feel like that's like a
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: subconscious like something under why I always just root against.
- 1:11:47Speaker 5: Do you think do you think it's tough to like
- 1:11:50Speaker 5: choose who's gonna be there at the end this year?
- 1:11:51Speaker 4: Yes, it's gonna be a good playoff ficture, it's definitely.
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: I feel like Kansas City is definitely like the Georgia
- 1:11:56Speaker 4: Bulldogs of like the AFC right now, like they're on top,
- 1:12:00Speaker 4: but I think like.
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: Who's the Alabama of the af Probably the Jags. Yeah,
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: that's a good style. Yeah, I think so.
- 1:12:07Speaker 4: They'd be like right, yeah, like Barey got in.
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: Yeah, they were outside looking in the wow man, they
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: were outside the conversation looking in, trying to get in.
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: Last week it came down a lot and.
- 1:12:18Speaker 5: Came on a lot of Jackson playing really good ball,
- 1:12:21Speaker 5: dangerous for the B three and seven and then come
- 1:12:24Speaker 5: back and play the way they have.
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: They've been hats something and they played they played well.
- 1:12:30Speaker 5: You guys in nineteen nineteen, Yeah, I mean they played well,
- 1:12:34Speaker 5: they played hard, they played well on defense, they go
- 1:12:38Speaker 5: full full tilt offenses, playing well They've got some free
- 1:12:42Speaker 5: agents guys who you know, lived up to you know
- 1:12:47Speaker 5: what they signed for, and they've been playing well. Trevor
- 1:12:49Speaker 5: Lawrence is a young gun. So all we're doing, they've
- 1:12:53Speaker 5: been good. They've been doing a good job. So hats
- 1:12:55Speaker 5: off to them. I ain't never hate knowing nobody. I
- 1:12:56Speaker 5: mean just their year. They've been playing well. You voted
- 1:12:59Speaker 5: them historically though.
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: That's I've passed some good games.
- 1:13:05Speaker 4: We will say that.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: I've pass you.
- 1:13:09Speaker 4: Your talk, Yeah to your talk here talk. It's going
- 1:13:13Speaker 4: to be centered around Jesus. It's going to be easy.
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: You're really you're.
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: Really not uh but but but you're talking.
- 1:13:19Speaker 5: About but this this is gonna get bown off proportion,
- 1:13:23Speaker 5: go ahead, but it is what it is.
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I will.
- 1:13:25Speaker 5: But you talk about you might have three more weeks.
- 1:13:28Speaker 5: I mean, I mean, they might might want to give
- 1:13:31Speaker 5: me out of here. You mean, you just you just
- 1:13:32Speaker 5: never know. I mean, anything can happen. I mean, I'm
- 1:13:34Speaker 5: twenty nine, I'm up in age. You know what happened
- 1:13:37Speaker 5: with you know, this year, And they might be they
- 1:13:39Speaker 5: might want to go young.
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: You just never know. They might Yeah, I would be,
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: I would be. I want to leave.
- 1:13:45Speaker 5: I love Tennessee and uh, I hope to be here
- 1:13:47Speaker 5: the rest of my career. I want to bring Super
- 1:13:48Speaker 5: Bowl here. But it just it's reality of the thing. It's
- 1:13:51Speaker 5: just the business side of it, you know. You just yeah,
- 1:13:54Speaker 5: you just never know. You're my age, being twenty nine
- 1:13:56Speaker 5: and leaving and running back. I considered that's old. So
- 1:14:00Speaker 5: you know, you're you're legit.
- 1:14:02Speaker 4: Beating running back stereotypes right now. You're the only back.
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: And I don't think so because I feel like Frank
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: Gore did that for years.
- 1:14:12Speaker 5: Yeah you're talking, Alan played sixteen years.
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: Uh, Adrian Peterson been playing for for a long time,
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: trying to be in the NFL, right, Adrian Peterson.
- 1:14:22Speaker 5: Yeah, I think so, yeah, yeah, yeah he is so.
- 1:14:24Speaker 5: I mean those guys are are definitely the standard. It's
- 1:14:27Speaker 5: not like I'm gonna go out there and like chase him, like,
- 1:14:29Speaker 5: oh I gotta play that long?
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: No.
- 1:14:31Speaker 5: No, But like I said, whenever it's my time to
- 1:14:33Speaker 5: be done. I mean, I'm sure, I like a science
- 1:14:36Speaker 5: project for everybody in the media.
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: You're like, you know, the two thousand yards you're in
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: and you're out, Like when's it gonna stop? When's it
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: gonna slow down? Like Okay, he's gonna slow down. He
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: works out way too hard. We all see stuff on Instagram.
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: He works out way too hard, he gets he gets jacked.
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: How long?
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: How long can he keep this up? And then you
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: prove it again, You prove it again, you prove it here.
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: Obviously.
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: Yeah, when he's like, you're beating the stereotype, I think
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: ultimately the universal stereotype is like, how you haven't really
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: seen anybody do what you've done for this period of time.
- 1:15:02Speaker 4: If you look at statistically backs that have just we're
- 1:15:06Speaker 4: gonna go strough the contract with the same team, You're
- 1:15:09Speaker 4: the only back in recent years that numbers have gotten
- 1:15:12Speaker 4: better after getting an extension, a long term extension, And
- 1:15:15Speaker 4: that has nothing to do with those backs and how
- 1:15:17Speaker 4: much they care about football. Let's just say everybody equally
- 1:15:19Speaker 4: cares about fotball the same everybody equally works just as hard.
- 1:15:22Speaker 4: The running backs are fucked to some extent because everyone
- 1:15:27Speaker 4: says running backs only have so many years, and you
- 1:15:29Speaker 4: truly are like he's saying, sign sports, You truly are
- 1:15:32Speaker 4: one of those individuals like, hey, you're like in tom Brady,
- 1:15:36Speaker 4: about to be in tom Brady, You're soon for a
- 1:15:38Speaker 4: running back where it's like, dude, he's just still balling,
- 1:15:41Speaker 4: he is still just doing his thing. People count them out.
- 1:15:44Speaker 4: People could be like if you turn a game and
- 1:15:46Speaker 4: you watched Denver this year when he has forty yards
- 1:15:50Speaker 4: and you would say, oh, man, Derek, Derek, he's lost
- 1:15:53Speaker 4: a step, he's whatever.
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: And you're not not not looking at injury.
- 1:15:55Speaker 4: As the King ended, and then you look at the
- 1:15:58Speaker 4: end of the secene looks like sixteen.
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: He was at sixty.
- 1:16:00Speaker 5: No, but I mean that's that's valid, you know, especially
- 1:16:03Speaker 5: like with my injury and you know, me being up
- 1:16:08Speaker 5: in age, those questions come always come because I mean,
- 1:16:12Speaker 5: you know, running backs there, their spending the NFL. It's
- 1:16:15Speaker 5: not long. And I know people probably brought us out
- 1:16:17Speaker 5: the portion about about what I said, but I'm just
- 1:16:19Speaker 5: being real, you know, with you know, with the history,
- 1:16:23Speaker 5: you know running back is twenty twenty nine, thirty is
- 1:16:27Speaker 5: just you know, you try to get him out of
- 1:16:29Speaker 5: there or think he's going downhill.
- 1:16:31Speaker 4: Chris Johnson, Chris Johnson was doing well and they're like,
- 1:16:34Speaker 4: we want to go young.
- 1:16:35Speaker 5: When he was in the podcast is what he said,
- 1:16:37Speaker 5: and then like you said, you know, you know offic
- 1:16:40Speaker 5: has been sitting around me a long time, and sometimes
- 1:16:42Speaker 5: people won't see something different. Maybe people tired of seeing
- 1:16:45Speaker 5: me if you've been sitting around me. So, I mean,
- 1:16:49Speaker 5: I'm just just being real. I'm not saying I want
- 1:16:51Speaker 5: to be trading anything like that, but I'm just saying, like,
- 1:16:53Speaker 5: you just never know. You just never know anything.
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: You don't ever know. It's like, especially with the new GM,
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: he might be like, man, we get get this here,
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: every boy out of here. Man, we got to imagine.
- 1:17:05Speaker 4: Imagine imagine Derek Henry in a different uniform than the Titans.
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: Blasphemous, that would be.
- 1:17:12Speaker 4: It'd be weird for Yeah, you and Jack right, two
- 1:17:15Speaker 4: long time Titan fans. Literally, Derek gave you something to like.
- 1:17:19Speaker 4: Believe it again.
- 1:17:20Speaker 5: I love Nashville. I mean it's been been home for me,
- 1:17:23Speaker 5: my little girls and growing up here. So I mean
- 1:17:25Speaker 5: Nashville is is home for me. I love for the Titans.
- 1:17:29Speaker 5: I love the whole organization. I love everybody in the organization.
- 1:17:32Speaker 5: And you know, I love all my teammates I played
- 1:17:34Speaker 5: with now and in the past.
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: At the end of the day, I mean, it's the NFL.
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: It's not for long. Right on.
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: The situation that could change That's how the owner of
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: a new gym could look at like, Oh, we're happy
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: he just got sixteen hundred yards. Maybe that's that's we
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: can see that as him being at the top and
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: use that like, while we have him here right now,
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: we could trade him off for some draft capital or
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: for another a younger.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:17:57Speaker 4: But if I'm Derek and if you're gonna trade me,
- 1:17:58Speaker 4: I'm all right, pay me. Then pay me more money
- 1:18:00Speaker 4: right now than what do you mean If I'm Derek,
- 1:18:03Speaker 4: I'm speaking for Derek. I'm not there doesn't have to
- 1:18:05Speaker 4: speak on this. If you're going to trade me to
- 1:18:08Speaker 4: let's just say a random team, your favorite team, Kansas
- 1:18:10Speaker 4: City Chiefs. I'm saying, all right, if you guys want
- 1:18:13Speaker 4: to trade for me, then you need to pay me
- 1:18:15Speaker 4: this amount of money. And then then if I say no,
- 1:18:19Speaker 4: then the place just go through and Derek plays the Titans,
- 1:18:22Speaker 4: or he doesn't play, or he does whatever he wants.
- 1:18:24Speaker 4: I'm saying, if if, because the player have that ability
- 1:18:27Speaker 4: to just yea players at the same time.
- 1:18:29Speaker 5: You know, I know I didn't take care of the
- 1:18:32Speaker 5: ball well this year, which you know I know Mars
- 1:18:35Speaker 5: will help hold myself accountable for you know, my fumbles
- 1:18:39Speaker 5: or my turnovers and anything like that I need to
- 1:18:41Speaker 5: get better at.
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: That's one thing about this game.
- 1:18:43Speaker 5: You think you'll arrive, I say, and I have, but
- 1:18:45Speaker 5: I'm saying it always, you know, humble you and show
- 1:18:48Speaker 5: you that it's always room for improvement. That's what I
- 1:18:50Speaker 5: always want to focus on is improvement. I need to
- 1:18:52Speaker 5: prove on taking the care of taking care of the
- 1:18:53Speaker 5: all better, which I can put us a home way,
- 1:18:56Speaker 5: put us the harmless way a lot this year and
- 1:18:58Speaker 5: kind of makes me feel like, uh d I t
- 1:19:02Speaker 5: h because I know Plumbo so much this year. But
- 1:19:04Speaker 5: something I need to do better at and I will
- 1:19:06Speaker 5: definitely focus on this year in all season of taking
- 1:19:09Speaker 5: care of the ball and practicing that a whole lot.
- 1:19:12Speaker 3: Is that something you look back on this past season
- 1:19:14Speaker 3: you're like, damn.
- 1:19:15Speaker 5: Yeah, I just this next me every time, you know,
- 1:19:18Speaker 5: I think about it and I wish I could have
- 1:19:21Speaker 5: done better. But the same time, stuff like that happens
- 1:19:24Speaker 5: and you need to improve. That's one thing I definitely
- 1:19:26Speaker 5: want to improve on.
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: So yeah, yeah, I definitely want to learn more about
- 1:19:31Speaker 2: that little player thing that you were just talking about.
- 1:19:33Speaker 3: Yeah he s he say, play pay me more. Or
- 1:19:36Speaker 3: I won't go.
- 1:19:38Speaker 4: I believe players can say I will not accept that trade,
- 1:19:41Speaker 4: or or like Gronk did when here's the page, I
- 1:19:43Speaker 4: think I'm retiring, I'm retiring.
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: Or something, and it won't get past me. You know,
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: if you.
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: If you have a trade clause in your contract, then
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: I think you could say you kind of get to
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: choose where you go. But if you don't have trade clause,
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: you don't have they can ship you wherever they want. Hey,
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: no you can't do you gotta pay me more. No,
- 1:20:03Speaker 2: we don't see you.
- 1:20:05Speaker 5: If you I think you don't have a trade clock,
- 1:20:06Speaker 5: they can ship you, can trade you wherever they want
- 1:20:08Speaker 5: to trade you.
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: Damn. And all I was.
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: All I was speaking to is when you just have
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: the perspective of you know, when you're telling Taylor, like
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: you say, three weeks ago, bro, you never know, He's like,
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: they get rid of me, will good?
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: Look in Well, I'm sorry, And I should have said
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: something before if you've had this booger in your nose
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: this whole podcast. Yeah, it's just sitting there.
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: But ain't none of you gonna say nothing?
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: Where's it at? You got it? It's going now? But
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: do you think it was visible on the do you
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: think it was It's probably not. Bo was hanging though.
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: It was hanging out right there, hanging grip And what
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: what were you saying about? Saying like I still have
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: to refocus on talking.
- 1:20:56Speaker 2: About the the method of somebody could be like, Okay,
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: it's good that he're in for sixteen hundred, Like maybe
- 1:21:02Speaker 2: we think he won't be the same player going in
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: the next year. Yeah, I mean, that's that's real, Like
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: that that's real armchair GM. I'm not saying he's not.
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: It's just like, oh damn, maybe we could have we
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: could hedge your bet. Now, it's good that he performed that. Well,
- 1:21:16Speaker 2: we don't think he's going to next year. This is
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: our time to trade him because he will be at
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: his highest trade value right now with sixteen hundred yards,
- 1:21:23Speaker 2: two thousand yards, this that the other.
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: He proves he's healthy now for a season.
- 1:21:27Speaker 2: That's just that's speaking to the perspective of you ultimately
- 1:21:30Speaker 2: never know in the business of like you know, the NFL.
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: I mean you don't know. I mean, do we think
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: aj is gonna get traded? No? No, That's what I'm saying.
- 1:21:38Speaker 5: You just don't You never know, And that's just the
- 1:21:41Speaker 5: reality of it. I mean, it's a business. Yeah, and
- 1:21:45Speaker 5: Sannycy Titans is a business. It's not Derrick Herry stays
- 1:21:49Speaker 5: here forever or any other pressure is forever.
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: It's a business.
- 1:21:52Speaker 5: They gonna look out for what's best for the organization
- 1:21:54Speaker 5: and a business before anything. No, nobody's bigger than you know,
- 1:21:58Speaker 5: the organization. So and that's just real.
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: That's just real. I mean, I'm mean, I know you're
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: you're real, You're right, You're that is you.
- 1:22:06Speaker 5: Won't good things last forever. But something in the NFL,
- 1:22:08Speaker 5: it really really doesn't. The one person who really has
- 1:22:11Speaker 5: the last ever for Tom Brady, and he could.
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: He did what he wants for for a long time.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: So he's done. There's a three undre million dollars content. Yeah,
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: so you know what I'm saying.
- 1:22:18Speaker 5: It's worked out for him very well as long as
- 1:22:20Speaker 5: he's wanted to play.
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I wonder what's gonna happen.
- 1:22:23Speaker 3: This was your reaction, like I'm sure the same as
- 1:22:26Speaker 3: everybody is with a boring ask question.
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: I was gonna say, what was.
- 1:22:28Speaker 3: Your reaction on draft now when you saw aj got traded?
- 1:22:32Speaker 5: I was I was mad, And I'm just like what's
- 1:22:33Speaker 5: going on? Couldn't get it worked out? We trading? I thought,
- 1:22:38Speaker 5: my little brother. I mean like we was a tandem.
- 1:22:39Speaker 5: You know.
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: I was just like, man, I was hot. I toalked
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: him on the phone because I was just like, man,
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: I ain't because nobody expected that. He was like what
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: a J approven receiver? So yeah, I was. I mean
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: I was kind of I was. I was shocked. I was.
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: I was hurt. Yes, that's my dog. Yeah, that situation.
- 1:22:56Speaker 2: Being closer to me, You're like, low key, why any
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: of you guys any side keep me in the loop
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: on this because I could have been a tool to
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: keep AJ here.
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: No, because I didn't think it's gonna happen.
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: I was.
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: I was waiting for it to come out.
- 1:23:08Speaker 7: A J.
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: Brown signed one hundred million dollars with the Titans. I
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: was waiting on that. I was literally I think I
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: forget what I was. I was walking in the room
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: and it said a J. Brown trade to the Eagles.
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: I was like what. Yeah, I was like, oh that
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: was wild. I was watching the jump right away. Yeah.
- 1:23:25Speaker 5: But I will say, the guys who player receiver this year,
- 1:23:29Speaker 5: they did, you know, a great job. You know, it
- 1:23:32Speaker 5: was tough, especially being you know, first year with Rob
- 1:23:36Speaker 5: and trailing being a rookie, and then Nick you know,
- 1:23:39Speaker 5: he's been here going on year three. He's been solid
- 1:23:43Speaker 5: for us, and they did the best job they could,
- 1:23:45Speaker 5: man and tried to try to fill in and make
- 1:23:48Speaker 5: place for us.
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: It ain't always easy. It's never gonna go the way
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: we wanted to go.
- 1:23:51Speaker 5: And you know, hats off of them, you know, because
- 1:23:54Speaker 5: trying to play somebody like a j who just broke
- 1:23:56Speaker 5: this single single season record for and been going crazy.
- 1:24:02Speaker 5: It's hard to try to replace somebody like that and
- 1:24:04Speaker 5: living in that shadow. That's tough for anybody. But I
- 1:24:06Speaker 5: feel like they tried to do the best out they
- 1:24:08Speaker 5: could so that wild.
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: It was tough. It was I mean it was tough.
- 1:24:11Speaker 5: And then playing with three different quarterbacks. I'm trying to
- 1:24:14Speaker 5: build a chemistry and everybody.
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: That's tough.
- 1:24:16Speaker 3: That's, like you say, mindful of everybody who could be
- 1:24:18Speaker 3: involved in a situation.
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: I mean, like you you go back to make it
- 1:24:22Speaker 2: a point to talk about the guys who came in
- 1:24:24Speaker 2: when I would did their best.
- 1:24:26Speaker 5: Yeah, I know, because I don't want to leave, Like dang,
- 1:24:28Speaker 5: I'm not that type of teammate to leave anybody, anybody hanging.
- 1:24:31Speaker 5: It's hard in this league, you know, and you know,
- 1:24:34Speaker 5: anything can happen, and you know, injuries happen and guys
- 1:24:37Speaker 5: gotta step up, and guys gotta make plays. And you know,
- 1:24:41Speaker 5: AJ was a big time player for us, and then
- 1:24:44Speaker 5: they end up in another team and other guys gotta
- 1:24:46Speaker 5: step up.
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: And I feel like they tried to do the best
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: that they could.
- 1:24:49Speaker 5: Yea, And just like you said, just like you pointed
- 1:24:52Speaker 5: out with the lineman, guys go down, the other guys
- 1:24:54Speaker 5: gotta step up. I never they probably never thought that,
- 1:24:56Speaker 5: like man, they'd be starting in two or three games,
- 1:24:59Speaker 5: and look, you know that's.
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: What it is. How about Jordan Rouge and Corey Levin
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: tough you know, went out there and laid it all out.
- 1:25:09Speaker 5: And then you know, I'm watching them throughout camping throughout
- 1:25:12Speaker 5: the season at all the confidence in them, you know,
- 1:25:14Speaker 5: because they they love this game and they play hard.
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: They're just like you guys. Mm hmm. They seem like
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: they really played well in those last few games. Should
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: we hit the tear top?
- 1:25:23Speaker 5: People just people just bash everybody, man, you know, dude,
- 1:25:28Speaker 5: especially when you it's one thing when a player know,
- 1:25:31Speaker 5: you know, he's not playing as well as he you
- 1:25:34Speaker 5: know should be, or you know, playing to the standard
- 1:25:37Speaker 5: that you know, everybody expects somebody to play. And players
- 1:25:40Speaker 5: already know that, so you know, and people always speak
- 1:25:44Speaker 5: on like mental health and all this type of stuff,
- 1:25:47Speaker 5: but people don't know that you contribute to that. You know,
- 1:25:51Speaker 5: when when saying a player lashes out something happened, they
- 1:25:54Speaker 5: be like, oh, man, mental health is so important. But
- 1:25:56Speaker 5: people don't realize you contribute that when you send a
- 1:25:58Speaker 5: bashing the player when they already know, you know, they
- 1:26:00Speaker 5: playing bad, and then gotta go watch it and then
- 1:26:03Speaker 5: got to get coached by it, and then still trying
- 1:26:05Speaker 5: to mentally be there to get past that game and
- 1:26:09Speaker 5: go to another game and play as well as they
- 1:26:10Speaker 5: can while you know, you know, social media and all
- 1:26:14Speaker 5: this type of stuff. And you know, somebody asked me
- 1:26:17Speaker 5: during the season about social media comment I was like, man,
- 1:26:19Speaker 5: I'm gonna get into all that because I'm gonna do
- 1:26:21Speaker 5: all that and try to do my job the best
- 1:26:22Speaker 5: way I can.
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: But you know, that's just the way way of the
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: world now.
- 1:26:26Speaker 5: And you know, with fantasy football and gods saying play
- 1:26:28Speaker 5: But I see all the time, people like man, don't
- 1:26:30Speaker 5: care about your pansy football, But it's just what it is.
- 1:26:32Speaker 5: NFL is about money, and you know, we all got
- 1:26:35Speaker 5: a job to do. We all, you know, play this
- 1:26:37Speaker 5: game with a heart out and sometimes it don't go
- 1:26:39Speaker 5: to the way that we wanted to, especially each game,
- 1:26:41Speaker 5: because it's tough, and you know, you get you get
- 1:26:44Speaker 5: bashed and people get bashed. But in the day, we
- 1:26:46Speaker 5: human beings, you know what I'm saying. We got feelings too.
- 1:26:49Speaker 5: We you know, we try to do our best and
- 1:26:52Speaker 5: sometimes it don't happen what we wanted to.
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: But I just I don't know.
- 1:26:56Speaker 5: I just think about players and mental health and all
- 1:26:58Speaker 5: that type of stuff, and you know, sometimes it get
- 1:27:01Speaker 5: tough for certain people when you don't know them and
- 1:27:05Speaker 5: what they're going through.
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I feel you were saying something too.
- 1:27:08Speaker 2: You're like you ultimately, you already know when you have
- 1:27:12Speaker 2: a bad game, You're already you're you're.
- 1:27:14Speaker 5: Tell an attest to that when you know you playing bad,
- 1:27:17Speaker 5: and you know you got to watch how you play
- 1:27:19Speaker 5: bad and you got to get coach from it, and
- 1:27:21Speaker 5: you are already you know in your head, like man,
- 1:27:24Speaker 5: I got to play better, trying to move on from
- 1:27:27Speaker 5: that because it's a new week, but you still, like, hag,
- 1:27:30Speaker 5: you know, you still got that hanging on.
- 1:27:31Speaker 2: Your worst critic, your coach is already players are hearing
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: the same thing. Then you're trying to like get past
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: it that next week. Media is still talking about it.
- 1:27:40Speaker 2: Then people on the internet like it's just multiple ways
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: when you're also trying to be like mentally tough and
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: persevere through some adversity.
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: It's like people don't understand that they I think people
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: do understand because it's what we signed up for. By
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: the end of the day.
- 1:27:54Speaker 5: Man, it's a lot of mental stuff that you like, Like,
- 1:27:57Speaker 5: we'll always say the game is timpers physical, not the
- 1:28:01Speaker 5: sentimental timisent physical because I mean physical.
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: Part, we got it. That's why we hear that.
- 1:28:06Speaker 5: You're like, but mentally you got to be locked in
- 1:28:09Speaker 5: to be able to sustain and play this game for
- 1:28:12Speaker 5: as long as you have longer the seasons.
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: Are, and play it at a high level over and
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: over again.
- 1:28:18Speaker 5: And I think that you know, anytime I see people,
- 1:28:20Speaker 5: you know, bashing players and saying they playing bad, especially
- 1:28:24Speaker 5: with this fantish football stuff, I mean, thanks football, it's great.
- 1:28:28Speaker 5: It's entertaining at the end of the day. You know,
- 1:28:31Speaker 5: we were human. You know we love this game. We're
- 1:28:35Speaker 5: not trying to play bad on purpose. Sometimes you don't
- 1:28:38Speaker 5: have good games. We love to go for a hundred
- 1:28:40Speaker 5: yards and go crazy every game. Yeah, but it's reality
- 1:28:43Speaker 5: of it. It don't happen that way all the time,
- 1:28:45Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying. And I just think that
- 1:28:47Speaker 5: you know, when people bash people playing bad, they already
- 1:28:51Speaker 5: know that you don't have to.
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: But that's just the way of the world now both ways.
- 1:28:55Speaker 4: Like everybody wants to have one hundred yards, but then
- 1:28:57Speaker 4: when you have games like you've had in the past,
- 1:28:59Speaker 4: if Henry just gets a hundred yards, like why is
- 1:29:03Speaker 4: there going to getting a hundred yards?
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: I need to see what I'm saying points for me understand.
- 1:29:08Speaker 5: It's like be mindful of like you know these these players, man,
- 1:29:12Speaker 5: because a lot of players around Yeah, i'der saying a
- 1:29:15Speaker 5: lot of players can't can't take that type of stuff,
- 1:29:17Speaker 5: Like with somebody who on the internet wants somebody to
- 1:29:20Speaker 5: come to their job and dis critique them about everything
- 1:29:22Speaker 5: they do.
- 1:29:22Speaker 2: Or you gonna do this right and you will how
- 1:29:24Speaker 2: you're gonna tell me how to do my job exactly.
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: That's what that's that's how we feel we got a
- 1:29:28Speaker 2: chance to put your job. The thing is with our
- 1:29:31Speaker 2: job is on TV.
- 1:29:32Speaker 5: And everybody has an opinion on it, you know what
- 1:29:34Speaker 5: I'm saying, so they get to say what they want
- 1:29:36Speaker 5: to say. But if it was a regular day job
- 1:29:38Speaker 5: and we got to all the pro players go to
- 1:29:41Speaker 5: a random person job and critique them on everything, you.
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: Know what I'm saying, fall apart entertaining though it's not,
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: it's entertaining.
- 1:29:48Speaker 4: I think that what separates UH an individual from a
- 1:29:52Speaker 4: good do a great player is being able to mentally
- 1:29:54Speaker 4: handle those types of situations because you have a bad game.
- 1:29:57Speaker 4: You're right if like, if I have a bad game,
- 1:30:00Speaker 4: I not only have to have the bad game, I
- 1:30:01Speaker 4: have to go home. I have to watch the film
- 1:30:03Speaker 4: on that bad game because you obsess over it. You're like, damn,
- 1:30:07Speaker 4: what could I have done better? And you watch every
- 1:30:08Speaker 4: little thing, and then you do two things. You say, man,
- 1:30:11Speaker 4: I really got fucked up in this situation or I
- 1:30:14Speaker 4: really messed up, and then you start playing your own
- 1:30:16Speaker 4: ego kicks in where you're like, well it wasn't that bad.
- 1:30:18Speaker 4: All I have to do is change X, Y, and
- 1:30:20Speaker 4: Z and I'm straight and I'll fix that next time.
- 1:30:22Speaker 4: Then you will go to doesn't and then you go
- 1:30:25Speaker 4: to sleep. You wake up anxiety because you know you
- 1:30:27Speaker 4: hit that team meeting. You know how verbel can get
- 1:30:29Speaker 4: in team meetings. You go to the office lineman meeting
- 1:30:32Speaker 4: Keith Carter. You know how Keith Carter was in those
- 1:30:34Speaker 4: meetings I told you about those, like he will just
- 1:30:35Speaker 4: go off on dudes You're hearing over and over and
- 1:30:38Speaker 4: over again. And then as soon as that Monday hits,
- 1:30:40Speaker 4: like can now take a take your Tuesday, make sure
- 1:30:43Speaker 4: you're recovered and get ready to work Wednesday for the
- 1:30:44Speaker 4: next game. And the ability to take all that anxiety
- 1:30:49Speaker 4: and stress and uh feeling like a failure and having
- 1:30:51Speaker 4: imposter syndrome and then turning around to Wednesday and being
- 1:30:55Speaker 4: able to now work Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and go
- 1:30:57Speaker 4: play another game and then have a good game. It
- 1:31:00Speaker 4: separates players from being good to great because people have talent.
- 1:31:04Speaker 4: Everybody has talent, even dudes that you like on the
- 1:31:07Speaker 4: third string at certain times, they have talent. It's just
- 1:31:10Speaker 4: about when you mess up, how quickly can you get
- 1:31:12Speaker 4: over that. Sometimes it's one play like I have to
- 1:31:14Speaker 4: get over this. In one play, I give up a sack.
- 1:31:16Speaker 4: I have to move on right now. If you get
- 1:31:19Speaker 4: if you make a bad cut, and you know you
- 1:31:20Speaker 4: made a bad cut, it's like I have to move
- 1:31:22Speaker 4: on from that right now.
- 1:31:23Speaker 5: But not just I mean football players and everything when
- 1:31:26Speaker 5: we go through a lot too, But everybody in life
- 1:31:28Speaker 5: you go through a lot. So I'm just not trying to,
- 1:31:30Speaker 5: you know, trying to separate football players from anybody else
- 1:31:35Speaker 5: in the row. Everybody go through everything. But I feel like, man,
- 1:31:38Speaker 5: just hold your head, keep faith, and just keep working
- 1:31:41Speaker 5: and trust and believe in what you do and how
- 1:31:43Speaker 5: you work, and everything will work out the way you
- 1:31:45Speaker 5: wanted to, especially you know, playing football. You know, like
- 1:31:48Speaker 5: I said earlier this year to like some of my
- 1:31:51Speaker 5: team teammates, as you know, as a little kid, if
- 1:31:54Speaker 5: God told you how to do this and this to
- 1:31:56Speaker 5: get to the NFL, you would do it, no question,
- 1:31:59Speaker 5: to make it to your dream. And then I think
- 1:32:02Speaker 5: sometimes when we get to the NFL, you kind of
- 1:32:04Speaker 5: forget about that kid that would do anything playing on
- 1:32:09Speaker 5: rec leavefield or in your parents or grandparents' front yard
- 1:32:12Speaker 5: of you know, making the NFL and being a big
- 1:32:14Speaker 5: star one day, whether you are a star or if
- 1:32:16Speaker 5: you made it, you accomplish something. You know what I'm saying,
- 1:32:19Speaker 5: So being grateful for what this game has done and
- 1:32:22Speaker 5: what God has done in your life and all the
- 1:32:24Speaker 5: people that help you get to this point in life.
- 1:32:26Speaker 5: Because some people who got a lot worse, some people
- 1:32:29Speaker 5: who still working their way to do accomplish something in life.
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: But you on the NFL team and you made it.
- 1:32:35Speaker 5: And even if you didn't make it long, but you
- 1:32:38Speaker 5: you got to where you always wanted to be as
- 1:32:40Speaker 5: a kid, and and you you know, you you accomplish
- 1:32:45Speaker 5: something in life. And I think sometimes we forget that.
- 1:32:49Speaker 5: And I one thing I always try to remind myself
- 1:32:51Speaker 5: it could always be worse, because even if I have
- 1:32:53Speaker 5: a bad game or if I do something, I just
- 1:32:55Speaker 5: harp on it really bad, like I said, like you say,
- 1:32:57Speaker 5: like everybody's their own worst critic. And I'm definitely in mind,
- 1:33:00Speaker 5: and I beat myself up a lot, but as at
- 1:33:04Speaker 5: some point you just gotta realized, Man, I'm blessed to
- 1:33:06Speaker 5: be where I'm at and to have these problems because
- 1:33:09Speaker 5: you know, you know, it's it's never easy, and it's
- 1:33:13Speaker 5: hard to plan this league, but end of the day,
- 1:33:15Speaker 5: I'm always gonna be grateful, grateful for the season, even
- 1:33:18Speaker 5: though we didn't go the way we wanted it to
- 1:33:20Speaker 5: and any way we wanted to. But at the end
- 1:33:23Speaker 5: of the day, you know, I got to grow and
- 1:33:26Speaker 5: I got to see a lot that I need to
- 1:33:28Speaker 5: get get better at it. Help me, you know, come
- 1:33:31Speaker 5: better teammate. And each each year you learn something. I
- 1:33:34Speaker 5: feel like you learned something this year about yourself and
- 1:33:36Speaker 5: what you want to do. And each year I feel
- 1:33:38Speaker 5: we all we all learned something. And that's the thing
- 1:33:41Speaker 5: about God, He'll show you what.
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: You you know.
- 1:33:43Speaker 4: The beautiful thing about you seeing on this podcast is
- 1:33:45Speaker 4: saying that is people are gonna be able to hear that,
- 1:33:47Speaker 4: and people are gonna be able to see that. Like
- 1:33:49Speaker 4: here's people look at fifty one or seventy seven or
- 1:33:52Speaker 4: twenty two and they see us on TV and it's
- 1:33:54Speaker 4: polarizing to them. For you to be able to sit
- 1:33:56Speaker 4: on a microphone and explain what people go through on
- 1:33:58Speaker 4: a day to day basis and how every one has issues,
- 1:34:01Speaker 4: that's going to resonate with a lot of people.
- 1:34:02Speaker 5: Yeah, I just want to be read because it's been
- 1:34:04Speaker 5: in my heart for a long time, and I just
- 1:34:05Speaker 5: want to speak on that because I see guys in
- 1:34:08Speaker 5: the league, and I see guys all over that you know,
- 1:34:11Speaker 5: I know they work hard, and I know they try
- 1:34:13Speaker 5: to do everything that they can and just it happened
- 1:34:15Speaker 5: to them for them right now. But you know, you
- 1:34:18Speaker 5: look at guys that struggle, but now I have came,
- 1:34:22Speaker 5: you know, who've gotten over, you know, the thedversity hump,
- 1:34:26Speaker 5: and it's not it's not falling. And try to tell
- 1:34:29Speaker 5: guys to stay with it, trusting your work, trusting you know,
- 1:34:32Speaker 5: everything that you do and everything that happened the way
- 1:34:35Speaker 5: the way the way you want it to. And people
- 1:34:37Speaker 5: always have something to say. Everybody has their own their
- 1:34:39Speaker 5: own opinion. As long as you lock in and focus in,
- 1:34:42Speaker 5: have tunnel vision of what you want to do and
- 1:34:44Speaker 5: what you want to be, and it happened for you,
- 1:34:47Speaker 5: you know. And you know, it's it's hard to avoid
- 1:34:49Speaker 5: what people say being on the internet, being on social media,
- 1:34:52Speaker 5: because I mean, it's it's everywhere nowadays. But I feel like,
- 1:34:56Speaker 5: you know, as long as you stay locked them mentally
- 1:35:00Speaker 5: and everything go work out the way you want to.
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: And it's it's tough sometimes because.
- 1:35:04Speaker 5: It can't get in your head and it can't make
- 1:35:06Speaker 5: you feel some type of way and you start to
- 1:35:08Speaker 5: believe those things. You know sometimes but sometimes you gotta
- 1:35:13Speaker 5: you know, distract yourself ex and just focus on your
- 1:35:18Speaker 5: craft and what you need to do. And sometimes, like
- 1:35:20Speaker 5: you did, you got off social media because it because
- 1:35:23Speaker 5: sometimes people it can you know, come control, can be
- 1:35:27Speaker 5: controlling and and and and let it control you. And
- 1:35:31Speaker 5: you know, social media can be it can be toxic.
- 1:35:34Speaker 5: I mean it is toxic at at times and a
- 1:35:36Speaker 5: lot of people get caught up in that. And you
- 1:35:39Speaker 5: just don't want it to you know, take over who
- 1:35:41Speaker 5: you are as a person. Don't lose yourself as a person,
- 1:35:43Speaker 5: and just remember you know what got you where you are.
- 1:35:47Speaker 5: And you know that's just the way of the world now.
- 1:35:50Speaker 5: But I just wanted to let everybody know in the
- 1:35:54Speaker 5: world and the football world, hold your head.
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: You know, it ain't as rough as you think it is.
- 1:36:00Speaker 5: Can always be worse, man, and just keep doing what
- 1:36:03Speaker 5: you do, stay locked in, just keep working, man. No
- 1:36:05Speaker 5: matter what nobody say. Somebody's always have something to say.
- 1:36:08Speaker 5: They ain't saying that you ain't doing nothing.
- 1:36:11Speaker 3: Is there anything you'd want to say to the fantasy owners?
- 1:36:13Speaker 3: That you let down this year.
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: Oh I am to be sorry. Man.
- 1:36:19Speaker 5: Hopefully I can be able to showcase a little a
- 1:36:25Speaker 5: little bit better and give you some more fantasy points.
- 1:36:28Speaker 5: But I think you know, every player in the league,
- 1:36:32Speaker 5: we just try to go out there involved. Sometimes they
- 1:36:35Speaker 5: don't go to the way we wanted to. I don't
- 1:36:37Speaker 5: mean we like your fantasy team the one there's one
- 1:36:41Speaker 5: thing it was.
- 1:36:43Speaker 2: It's like death taxes and a football player being like,
- 1:36:46Speaker 2: I don't give a fuck about your fantasy team.
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: That's every year, you know what I mean, young guy.
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: People can talk crazy to you now about you know,
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: people get caught up in that.
- 1:36:56Speaker 3: Crazy story when he comes on again, I would let
- 1:36:59Speaker 3: I'm not sure.
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: Everybody has crazy stories.
- 1:37:01Speaker 5: People start crazy to me about being football, especially when
- 1:37:03Speaker 5: people talking to deans about fantasy football.
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: But I just ignore it. But they can get it.
- 1:37:08Speaker 5: Can it can get crazy sometimes fans to give it
- 1:37:11Speaker 5: that fantsy football stuff. But at the end of the day, man,
- 1:37:14Speaker 5: we just try to go ball and the best we can.
- 1:37:18Speaker 5: And if you're a fantasy balling you balled out this
- 1:37:21Speaker 5: year or you've been doing it at a yearly basis,
- 1:37:25Speaker 5: keep doing your thing.
- 1:37:26Speaker 3: But as a GM I'm a winner this year. I
- 1:37:30Speaker 3: took the gold. Take a lot of pride.
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: They do. Take a lot of pride. Take a lot
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: of pride of football for real.
- 1:37:38Speaker 4: Should we hit tier talk before we let the king leave?
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: You need it? It's five o'clock. We're talking for a minute.
- 1:37:46Speaker 3: While talk Derrick Henry steff Farms.
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: No, we don't do this. Why not?
- 1:37:53Speaker 4: You got a lot? I got it our tier talk
- 1:37:56Speaker 4: Tier talking. It would be like your best stet farm,
- 1:37:58Speaker 4: your second, best step farm, your thirdst iconic stiff Farms.
- 1:38:01Speaker 4: Will can do a different one if you want a
- 1:38:03Speaker 4: different one.
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: You're hearing stiff Arms. All right, all right, I got it.
- 1:38:07Speaker 3: Before we do to your talk, at least get a
- 1:38:09Speaker 3: top three like Derrick Henry stiff Farms.
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: I wanted to do. I have my three. What's your three?
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: Y'all can do it?
- 1:38:16Speaker 2: But I'll just I'll just you don't have your favorite
- 1:38:18Speaker 2: stiff Arms? Did you look back up with this? Well,
- 1:38:21Speaker 2: look stiff Arms, like, what are your favorites? Who's the
- 1:38:24Speaker 2: highest priced one?
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: No?
- 1:38:26Speaker 5: I didn't never really put them out though, I never
- 1:38:27Speaker 5: really because that market kind of Oh yeah yeah.
- 1:38:32Speaker 2: But you don't you don't like look back and be
- 1:38:33Speaker 2: like I got a top you know, stiff arm catalog.
- 1:38:36Speaker 5: I think when I'm done, I will because I feel
- 1:38:37Speaker 5: like I still got some more in me as I'm
- 1:38:39Speaker 5: still playing, but right or no no, no, no, no,
- 1:38:42Speaker 5: no disrespect, but no, I'm just waiting to see what
- 1:38:45Speaker 5: I'm done to reflect on it.
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: Yeah, how would this?
- 1:38:48Speaker 4: We'll say our top three stiff arms, and you use
- 1:38:51Speaker 4: one word to describe how you feel about our top three?
- 1:38:55Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 1:38:57Speaker 4: All you have to say one word how you feel
- 1:38:58Speaker 4: about Will and I they farmed, tears were No, it's.
- 1:39:04Speaker 5: Not a trying to it's one word. I'm trying to
- 1:39:06Speaker 5: embarrass nobody. Man, it's been enough. It's been enough of
- 1:39:09Speaker 5: it about.
- 1:39:10Speaker 1: It enough enough, no talk here, talk mission Michigan State.
- 1:39:20Speaker 2: You'd probably go being polarizing. It would probably be the
- 1:39:26Speaker 2: Josh Norman one. And the third one is either personally
- 1:39:31Speaker 2: uh seeing it on TV because I got to see it,
- 1:39:33Speaker 2: the Josh Normal one that was fun, guy came up
- 1:39:35Speaker 2: off the bench. Holy fuck boys, we gotta go see
- 1:39:37Speaker 2: what it just happened. But objectively watching the Earl Thomas one,
- 1:39:43Speaker 2: and I say that too, like I would say this
- 1:39:45Speaker 2: was Josh. Ash is a boy before we were teammates.
- 1:39:48Speaker 2: That's what that's unfortunate could have happened to me. I
- 1:39:52Speaker 2: didn't know, didn't but uh, either Earl Thomas or honestly,
- 1:39:57Speaker 2: bro the one you had last.
- 1:39:59Speaker 1: Week when you got old boy on the on the sideline,
- 1:40:02Speaker 1: you kind of like, you know, hey, come on now,
- 1:40:04Speaker 1: you don't have to flex, but.
- 1:40:06Speaker 3: You kind of stood up over. I just dropped you
- 1:40:12Speaker 3: where you don't have to say nothing.
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: Don't say. But those are probably my tops. Do you
- 1:40:19Speaker 1: have any? I don't know if the King wanted this
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: to happen, so I'm kind of ahead. He's already done that.
- 1:40:25Speaker 4: My top three, my number three stiff arm by Derrick
- 1:40:28Speaker 4: Henry would go in the National Championship game against Michigan State,
- 1:40:31Speaker 4: which you did to Shelei Calhoun was playoff game, playoff game. Sorry,
- 1:40:34Speaker 4: the playoff game. I apologize, sir. You picked up that
- 1:40:38Speaker 4: twor setard pound man. Not only did you stiff arm him,
- 1:40:40Speaker 4: you spun him in a way that blended like ninety
- 1:40:43Speaker 4: three angle blended him and he fell to the ground.
- 1:40:46Speaker 4: It was iconic and it was Michigan State, which was
- 1:40:48Speaker 4: nice for me. Jack Coughlin was part of that team.
- 1:40:52Speaker 1: Number two.
- 1:40:58Speaker 4: Earl Thomas because Earl was talking all that ship the
- 1:41:01Speaker 4: week before.
- 1:41:02Speaker 1: I like Earl.
- 1:41:03Speaker 4: I've never met Earl, but I like Earl quite a bit.
- 1:41:05Speaker 1: Chopped the arm. Gotta chop the arm. That's all you did.
- 1:41:07Speaker 1: We scared him.
- 1:41:08Speaker 4: We're gonna stand up to him. Shut up, I would do,
- 1:41:14Speaker 4: and he basically basically turned him into a blocker for you.
- 1:41:17Speaker 4: And my number one stiff arm. Number one stiff from
- 1:41:20Speaker 4: play is against the Jacksonville Jaguars ninety nine yards, not one,
- 1:41:25Speaker 4: not two, not three, but possibly four stiff arms for
- 1:41:28Speaker 4: a nine nine yard touchdown. That shit was so hyped too,
- 1:41:31Speaker 4: because we literally called it before called that touchdown.
- 1:41:34Speaker 2: Yeah, go back to the main topic of the have
- 1:41:37Speaker 2: you changed burger when he's burger?
- 1:41:40Speaker 5: But I said, you had gave me a burger and
- 1:41:42Speaker 5: I said, when he's burger is way better than that burger.
- 1:41:45Speaker 5: And then we went on to other burgers. But I
- 1:41:47Speaker 5: don't know how it stuck that when he's had the best.
- 1:41:49Speaker 7: Burger when he's over five guys, nobody money to go
- 1:41:54Speaker 7: to five guys and eat when he's over five guys,
- 1:41:58Speaker 7: that's what you think when he's with five guys, I'm
- 1:42:01Speaker 7: gonna say.
- 1:42:03Speaker 1: Wendy's on five guys.
- 1:42:04Speaker 6: You know, come on, no, no, no, yeah, I know
- 1:42:15Speaker 6: my back is you're looking at You're welcome because your
- 1:42:19Speaker 6: back you bro.
- 1:42:21Speaker 1: Everybody know that's horrible. Now listen, Wendy's is a good burger.
- 1:42:26Speaker 1: I got a little thing. Please please start with the Windys.
- 1:42:30Speaker 1: I never said why was the best? When he's on
- 1:42:32Speaker 1: five guys and he's like, whoa, keep bringing burger? No, no, no,
- 1:42:35Speaker 1: we can right now?
- 1:42:37Speaker 2: What's the best burger? You were in the locker room
- 1:42:39Speaker 2: arguing about Wendy's. I do want that to be said that.
- 1:42:43Speaker 1: That's why I went to Windy after practice.
- 1:42:44Speaker 5: Yeah, I know, because I thought you had mentioned somebody
- 1:42:46Speaker 5: said Whinny's burger is better than that burger for sure?
- 1:42:48Speaker 5: And he was like no, bro, And I said, Bro,
- 1:42:50Speaker 5: I'm telling you Whenny's burger is better than that one.
- 1:42:52Speaker 4: I forgot which which.
- 1:42:53Speaker 1: One you mentioned? I forgot which which burg was five guys? No,
- 1:42:56Speaker 1: I don't think it was five guys. It was something else.
- 1:42:58Speaker 1: What's the best burgers?
- 1:43:02Speaker 2: If I said d Q, I'm definitely just trying to
- 1:43:03Speaker 2: get in the mix and just yeah, you definitely be
- 1:43:06Speaker 2: in the locker room. Everybody was kind of just arguing
- 1:43:09Speaker 2: the best burger. Oh, that's that's tough, and it's no no,
- 1:43:17Speaker 2: somebody lives in Framewash.
- 1:43:20Speaker 1: It it's good, but it's not like the best, the
- 1:43:22Speaker 1: best burger. The fries are not it.
- 1:43:24Speaker 4: When I'm talking about the burger, I'm just.
- 1:43:26Speaker 5: Saying, overall, the burger burgers pretty good, but it's not
- 1:43:28Speaker 5: one of the best.
- 1:43:29Speaker 1: No, okay, So can you give me your list top five?
- 1:43:35Speaker 1: I think my mind have changed. Actually, okay, come on.
- 1:43:38Speaker 4: Number one would be in and out.
- 1:43:40Speaker 1: Number two look at them crazy. I'm like, it is
- 1:43:47Speaker 1: Carl's Jr. I never had that burger before.
- 1:43:50Speaker 4: And number three, if we're keeping fast casual in it,
- 1:43:55Speaker 4: which I think there's an argument both ways. Fast casual
- 1:43:57Speaker 4: meaning there's no fast like there's no drive through going
- 1:44:00Speaker 4: because it is, I would I would probably throw shake
- 1:44:04Speaker 4: Shack in there.
- 1:44:05Speaker 1: Shake Shack in Nashville. It's like my three favorite burgers.
- 1:44:13Speaker 1: I heard h Baby's hits too. I've never had you, babies, bro,
- 1:44:17Speaker 1: this is my three favorite burgers. Whoa whoa whoa going on?
- 1:44:23Speaker 1: Whoa whoa? Hey yo yo yo yo yo Jack Brown's Browns.
- 1:44:32Speaker 1: But you're going you're going to get it.
- 1:44:36Speaker 5: Yes, the only thing wrong with Jack Brown's they don't
- 1:44:38Speaker 5: have like like they don't have like lettuce tomato. It's
- 1:44:40Speaker 5: just burger and cheese or it's like a little bit
- 1:44:44Speaker 5: of soft. They don't have like letted tomatoes, cream let tomato.
- 1:44:51Speaker 5: But I just like the regular brother the regular double
- 1:44:53Speaker 5: cheese Brothers. But they had lettuce tomato, they would be
- 1:44:57Speaker 5: it will be top.
- 1:44:58Speaker 1: Yeah, what a burger your favorite burgers? Let's see, not
- 1:45:04Speaker 1: not the top five, but I like I like shake
- 1:45:06Speaker 1: Shack water Burger. We're doing two tier talks. No, no, no, no,
- 1:45:12Speaker 1: I like water burger. I'm trying to think, no, no.
- 1:45:15Speaker 3: No, don't interrupt, meself.
- 1:45:16Speaker 1: I just like just overrating. It's saying like fast food spots,
- 1:45:21Speaker 1: be talking about fast food spots. Yeah, make shack water burger.
- 1:45:26Speaker 3: Mm hmm, Bro, how are you arguing Wendy's and Wendy's
- 1:45:29Speaker 3: in in your list?
- 1:45:31Speaker 1: That's why when it's kind of when it's kind of
- 1:45:33Speaker 1: fell off.
- 1:45:33Speaker 3: Okay, Now I am trying to figure out what happened in.
- 1:45:36Speaker 1: That locker room to make you Windy's fell off. Bro,
- 1:45:39Speaker 1: I did not why you He's gonna die on that hill?
- 1:45:42Speaker 1: And I did not Crown, Wendy's. You made a whole
- 1:45:46Speaker 1: Wendy sweet video about going to Wendy's and the drive
- 1:45:50Speaker 1: through and everything. That's funny. Mayon's on the side of
- 1:45:52Speaker 1: his lip. What a fresh coat. I'm not gonna lie.
- 1:45:57Speaker 1: This coke is really helping his burger right now. I
- 1:46:00Speaker 1: remember all that A co ConA doctor pepper. You know,
- 1:46:04Speaker 1: I can't something about like drink sod I'm watch my
- 1:46:07Speaker 1: diet or some ship. Yeahs, I continued in hell, that's
- 1:46:09Speaker 1: so funny.
- 1:46:10Speaker 7: I was like, you think you as the five guys,
- 1:46:13Speaker 7: five guys, five guys is good five guys.
- 1:46:16Speaker 1: It's just a lot of grease.
- 1:46:17Speaker 4: Can't handle the responsibility of five guys.
- 1:46:18Speaker 1: A lot of grease, A lot of grease. Like you
- 1:46:21Speaker 1: might pay for it, you know what I mean, you do,
- 1:46:23Speaker 1: pay for it, pay for it, pay for it. But
- 1:46:25Speaker 1: it is a good ride.
- 1:46:26Speaker 5: Hold on, I'm gonna ask all this and and I'm done.
- 1:46:30Speaker 5: Jaxby's or Raisin Knes Canes.
- 1:46:35Speaker 1: Whoa whoa canes? No question over zax what beat his ass?
- 1:46:45Speaker 1: Hey we're thinking about tell me what makes what makes
- 1:46:48Speaker 1: Zaxby's better than Raisin Kane? The menu raising King's menu
- 1:46:53Speaker 1: is just.
- 1:46:55Speaker 2: I will say, Derek, you are elite with your facial reactions.
- 1:47:00Speaker 2: That's how you got everybody stirred up in the lot.
- 1:47:02Speaker 2: That's anytimes my sisters in the locker room. Derek, that
- 1:47:06Speaker 2: reaction right there, he just got the the most especially Okay, okay, okay, so.
- 1:47:11Speaker 5: They do people has a better variety than than the
- 1:47:14Speaker 5: raising Knes. But as far as the foods, so you
- 1:47:16Speaker 5: understand the food better, the menu is better.
- 1:47:18Speaker 9: Like Canes doesn't even have wings. So Zaxby's wings are trash.
- 1:47:23Speaker 9: They're better than Canes, don't They don't they don't have them,
- 1:47:25Speaker 9: don't have wings. Their chicken tenors are better than both
- 1:47:27Speaker 9: the wings. And that's my point though, chicken.
- 1:47:32Speaker 5: Tenors are better than both their wings and chicken tenders
- 1:47:36Speaker 5: whatever whatever they call them.
- 1:47:38Speaker 1: Canes did also kind of copy zack sauce. Cane Sauce
- 1:47:42Speaker 1: is way better than that. Da Zaxby's copy Canes. Zaxby's
- 1:47:50Speaker 1: was around first. No, it was not just around first.
- 1:47:54Speaker 4: Jack Knes was a listen do you Cans is made
- 1:47:59Speaker 4: by a guy that went to L s U and
- 1:48:01Speaker 4: he named the and they named the.
- 1:48:02Speaker 1: Thing after his dog.
- 1:48:06Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a class pusher he had a on and
- 1:48:07Speaker 4: they said that will never work, and he was like,
- 1:48:08Speaker 4: all right, cool, dropped out of college and made raising
- 1:48:11Speaker 4: canes with the guy who ended up branching off and
- 1:48:14Speaker 4: making Zaxby's. Look it up, dude, really wow, that's whoa.
- 1:48:20Speaker 1: Whoa. I hope that's right, but I don't know about that.
- 1:48:22Speaker 1: That's all right, said. I was like, oh my godness,
- 1:48:27Speaker 1: the other way.
- 1:48:27Speaker 8: Around you made you. I'm like, whoa dropping the mic
- 1:48:31Speaker 8: outter that one. I think it was wow, wow, oh
- 1:48:40Speaker 8: my everything.
- 1:48:41Speaker 1: I just get so good though.
- 1:48:42Speaker 4: Look at this is what the internet does.
- 1:48:44Speaker 1: Boys.
- 1:48:44Speaker 4: Don't believe everything you were in the internet list copycat chicken.
- 1:48:47Speaker 2: Hey remember, hey, hey, remember back in the day when
- 1:48:50Speaker 2: we were talking about burgers and I was like, Taylor's
- 1:48:52Speaker 2: a storyteller.
- 1:48:54Speaker 1: He's a great storyteller.
- 1:48:55Speaker 5: And listen, listen, everybody talking about this story fast food
- 1:49:01Speaker 5: and all this greasy food. But me and Taylor we
- 1:49:03Speaker 5: eat pretty pretty healthy. I'm not but I don't know
- 1:49:05Speaker 5: about will, but we beat pretty healthy.
- 1:49:07Speaker 2: No, no, no, I'm just I just wanted to say, guys,
- 1:49:09Speaker 2: I've changed my diet this past year and it's been remarking.
- 1:49:14Speaker 2: It helped a lot my first time actually really like
- 1:49:17Speaker 2: being strict with it, and all I drunk all year
- 1:49:20Speaker 2: of a straight water and I'm still doing it.
- 1:49:22Speaker 4: He came to me during camp, He's like, what do
- 1:49:24Speaker 4: you What do you drink? I was like, I just
- 1:49:27Speaker 4: drink water.
- 1:49:28Speaker 1: He's like juice. No, I don't do any juice or
- 1:49:32Speaker 1: nothing like what. Two days later, He's like, all I
- 1:49:35Speaker 1: drink is water. He hated it. All I drink is water, Bro,
- 1:49:38Speaker 1: I don't drinkything else. So I come in the locker room.
- 1:49:42Speaker 5: I'm like Taylor, so like, you'r det what is what
- 1:49:46Speaker 5: does it consists of? And then as far as the season,
- 1:49:50Speaker 5: how long do you do it? And then whenever seasons
- 1:49:52Speaker 5: old with do you give your time to like your
- 1:49:55Speaker 5: time to have a cheap meal or something like that.
- 1:49:56Speaker 5: He's like, Bro, He's like, yeah, at the season, I
- 1:49:58Speaker 5: might have a cheap mill here and there. But like
- 1:50:01Speaker 5: once I get like lock back, can I'm back in
- 1:50:02Speaker 5: and I'm all, you know, I'm eating healthy and everything else.
- 1:50:06Speaker 1: I don't really cheat much, but if I do the
- 1:50:09Speaker 1: whole rise of the season. But he said, but during
- 1:50:10Speaker 1: the season around lockdown, I don't really even think I
- 1:50:12Speaker 1: have my meals and just and that. So I'm like, oh,
- 1:50:14Speaker 1: I'm like, okay.
