- 0:00Hello everyone and welcome back to the Spy Trader podcast !
- 0:04I am your host , Sunny Profits , and I am so glad you could join me today .
- 0:09It is currently 2:30 pm on Monday , June 15th , 2026 , right here in the Pacific time zone .
- 0:17We are looking at a market that is finally catching its breath after the wild AI rollercoaster of the last couple of years .
- 0:25The S&P 500 , which many of you track through the VOO ETF , is hovering near alltime highs , but we are definitely seeing a shift in who is leading the pack .
- 0:36The big news recently is all about normalization .
- 0:39The Federal Reserve has held interest rates steady at 3.25 percent for three meetings in a row , and inflation has settled down to a manageable 2.3 percent .
- 0:51This has caused the yield curve to finally deinvert , which is fantastic news for our friends in the banking sector because it helps their lending margins .
- 1:00In the tech world , Apple just wrapped up its developers conference where they showed off SiriOS .
- 1:06This is a huge deal because it turns your phone into a fully autonomous agent .
- 1:11It is officially sparking a new reason for everyone to upgrade their hardware .
- 1:15Meanwhile , utilities are becoming the unlikely heroes of the AI era .
- 1:21A group of bigtech firms just signed a massive deal with Constellation Energy to restart a nuclear reactor just to provide the carbonfree power needed for AI data centers .
- 1:32Even healthcare is evolving , with Eli Lilly successfully launching pill versions of their weightloss treatments to millions of new users .
- 1:42Looking at the big picture , we have moved from the AI buildout phase into the integration phase .
- 1:48Companies are now using that technology to become more productive without needing to go on massive hiring sprees .
- 1:55This is allowing earnings to grow even as the overall pace of the market gains starts to slow down .
- 2:02So , what should we be doing with our money ?
- 2:04If you are looking for growth , the Invesco QQQ Trust remains a solid core holding , but you might want to specifically add Apple for that SiriOS hardware cycle .
- 2:16For those of you interested in income and recovery , the Vanguard Real Estate ETF , or VNQ , is looking very attractive with a 4.2 percent yield now that the fear of rising rates has faded .
- 2:30I also like the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund , known as XLF , because banks like JPMorgan Chase are in a better position to profit now that the yield curve has normalized .
- 2:43If you want to play it a bit safer , consider putting a small portion of your portfolio into gold using the GLD ETF as a hedge against global tensions .
- 2:53Also , the iShares 20 plus Year Treasury Bond ETF , or TLT , is a great way to lock in yields above 4 percent .
- 3:01My final piece of advice for today is to check your balance .
- 3:05If your tech holdings have grown too large , think about moving some of that money into the iShares Core U.S.
- 3:12Aggregate Bond ETF for stability .
- 3:15Keep a close eye on NVIDIA earnings later this year , but for now , enjoy the steadier ride !
- 3:22Thanks for listening to Spy Trader , and I will catch you in a few hours !
