- 0:00On page 340-4345 all prove this following point and that is
- 0:06there are layers and levels to being good you in every area.
- 0:11It's not just simply check the box and that's it.
- 0:14Check the box of niceness, check the nice of character, check the
- 0:18box of learning. There's such a thing.
- 0:20There's always different layers and different levels, and it's
- 0:23always little degrees of sensitivity that a person can
- 0:25have. If there is no end to have a
- 0:29sensitive person can be no end to how dedicated a person can
- 0:32be. What does that do for us to tell
- 0:34the person that if you love something enough, you will do
- 0:37more? I don't think that you just have
- 0:39to check a box or reach a certain level and that's it.
- 0:42There is no tier that you're reaching.
- 0:43You're done with that topic. There's always more to.
- 0:45Go. Let's see examples you know.
- 0:47Rob I I always wondered why good people seem to buy Joe Beta.
- 0:53And you know that the number one question of all the time, that's
- 0:56the way it is. It is a number one question, but
- 0:59should have been. We're not exactly, but should
- 1:01have been. I do not have the answer, but
- 1:02should have been. When he told the guard Hashem,
- 1:05please don't show your back to me.
- 1:07According to Hashim, he was saying to Hashim, show me your
- 1:11front, which means show me how, why you do what you do in this
- 1:14specific area. There's no answer to us, right?
- 1:18The only answer that an outsider can take away is and that these
- 1:22things happen not to them. I know what happens to them, but
- 1:25for us, they have reasons for us.
- 1:28It could be an atonement us, it can be your protection for us.
- 1:32It can be a lesson for us, it can be an inspiration, a
- 1:35motivation. All those things are true for
- 1:38us, not for them. For them, I have no idea.
- 1:41Now let's see back to how I think.
- 1:43Now here's the example, number one on page 244.
- 1:47I think when I it says Shalu Tami Davis Rabbi, but my doctor,
- 1:54I mean, what helped you reach a long life, Amar Lahem.
- 1:59His answer was Miyamai Loesch Tandy would talk about more just
- 2:04a villa. I didn't use the restroom within
- 2:07format of praying, which is not really a major deal in our eyes.
- 2:11Look, can he DHM the Cavarotta as we mentioned he last week I
- 2:15did not provide or give my friend a nickname and I also
- 2:23never missed the mitzvah of Kedush.
- 2:28OK, never gave my friend a nickname means I never insulted
- 2:30my friend. That's what it means not even a
- 2:32half away. We gave you the examples last
- 2:34week of little of this and Shorty dot and all those chubby.
- 2:37This was all not so friendly nicknames.
- 2:40I would never be willing to give my friend that kind.
- 2:44Why ask the king? Well, this is my day.
- 2:48Everyone had a nickname, right? So it's saying over here like
- 2:53the Mafia, it's saying over here it's it's an insult one way or
- 2:59another, it's a hint to something.
- 3:01And therefore this Robin avoided it all.
- 3:04Cross. Now I came to Kedush.
- 3:05She's saying I did Kedush always.
- 3:08I always refer to myself Kedush. Big deal.
- 3:10What's the deal as follows. IMA Zikenai.
- 3:14He had an old mother, He says Pennsylvania Mahat.
- 3:17One time we didn't have enough money to pay for Kedush for
- 3:20wine. Mukhra kipa Shibhiro Shah, My
- 3:24mother sold her doily her head covering the via Liki douche and
- 3:28she gave me wine for Ki douche. I think he's part of our family.
- 3:35Where we're true, you have your concept of going all the way,
- 3:44the showing us how far a person can go when it comes to caring
- 3:50about a mitzvah. She was definitely absolved.
- 3:54She doesn't own wine. She doesn't have the money for
- 3:56wine. No one told her to sell her
- 3:58clothing, but she went above and beyond.
- 4:01That's a Hasil is a Hasil is a person who thinks and acts about
- 4:05above and beyond. She was definitely absolved.
- 4:13She didn't have the money. She had the seller covering,
- 4:21however Omram made me doubt the Hasidut.
- 4:26However back to our point, it's great to be above.
- 4:29It's great to do more. She did more.
- 4:31I'll say I can not because she's obligate, where is her son
- 4:35obligate, but rather because she wants to go all the way.
- 4:40And the idea of being Hasid is take your things that you like
- 4:44as a Jew and take them to the Max.
- 4:47Don't stop open mouth. Similarly regarding.
- 4:51What do you call a woman? Is that like that you call her
- 4:53Hasid? Hasid as well, absolutely woman
- 4:55could this example was a woman. The woman have the requirement
- 4:58to be sensitive absolutely and probably be more sensitive.
- 5:01The woman have the requirement to do theremans foot 1000%
- 5:05right, and they do have certain areas and they're extremely
- 5:10dedicated to in fact, you probably see the mita of Hasidut
- 5:16If I can argue with our wives more than you see there with us
- 5:19somebody's and my wife goes over the top and it's our areas.
- 5:23OK, Prayer her to feel that is better than my to feel that.
- 5:27I'll be honest, she's a hot seat in that area, right.
- 5:30Sensitivity. Women have more of a test and
- 5:34they are therefore have more of an application of sensitivity.
- 5:37They talk with their friends and their sisters and then people
- 5:40always getting insulted and that's always be careful that
- 5:43I'm over. That's part of the meda of
- 5:45sensitivity. All right, That's part of their
- 5:47way. It's how it works.
- 5:51My doctor has to do it. I was sick in a woman has to
- 5:54pray. A woman has to pray at least
- 5:56once, some more, twice and do not have to prayer a beat.
- 5:59That's the fact I Rabbi say they shouldn't prayer a beat.
- 6:02I don't get off because it's now climbed by.
- 6:03They don't have to pray at least once.
- 6:05Do so we all. That's not in your father's
- 6:08book. That's Manhattans, though.
- 6:10Uh huh. In your father's book for woman.
- 6:12That's it. I'm in here.
- 6:14I don't think so. His father was the first one to
- 6:17make a woman, she told I. But right never.
- 6:22So could a woman dress prayer in cop?
- 6:27So could this be one prayer every day?
- 6:28They can even call you. Yeah, but they don't know this.
- 6:33There have been so many discussions about a woman, how
- 6:36to pray, how not to overdo it, all these things.
- 6:40They're they're they're inclined to pray a lot because they have
- 6:44that love, because they have that connection.
- 6:47They're inclined not Teeley much are bad.
- 6:49They're doing all those things and in fact, oftentimes they
- 6:52have to be calmed down. In my opinion, always is,
- 6:55although they should be calmed down time to time.
- 6:57You never want to calm a person down when they are a healthy
- 7:01person. They're not not healthy.
- 7:04They're mentally healthy. They just have a very strong
- 7:07connection to Hashem. A woman has a stronger
- 7:10connection to Hashem naturally than a man does.
- 7:12One of the reasons why we have moment swell than they do.
- 7:14They don't need as many of as well as we do to connect the
- 7:17guard. It's not just for a woman's
- 7:19class, it's a reality. They have a strong connection
- 7:22and because that the tifila has more fervor and more excitement.
- 7:27That's the way it is now another example of being a Hasid you
- 7:30have in your service and we just mentioned Kedush tifila.
- 7:33The other one is, like we said, this idea of not giving a friend
- 7:37the nickname means you want to avoid hurting a person even
- 7:41slightly. My favorite topic, the number
- 7:44one topic that a person had to think about in life is a
- 7:47character has layers. Character has stages, it has
- 7:53different degrees. I'll give you an example that
- 7:55came up yesterday. Can't give you a classic
- 7:57example. My friends, I got on me
- 8:00yesterday and he says I have a challenge.
- 8:03What's his challenge? He says this is not going to
- 8:06sound like a challenge to you, but it's a real 1.
- 8:09He has a job and he has a coworker in the same job with a
- 8:14a run up in Midrash. OK.
- 8:16They sit, these boys sit down there and they're the ones that
- 8:19boys ask questions to listen to his challenge.
- 8:22The boys asked him to give a class.
- 8:25Doesn't sound like a challenge to me.
- 8:26Beautiful. He's a very exciting guy.
- 8:30The boys like him. He's a young guy in the same
- 8:32room. At the same time, there's
- 8:33another rabbi who was an older rabbi who was not as exciting,
- 8:38who was not as guys into the boy who doesn't have the same
- 8:42capability of giving you a class Classic issue.
- 8:45The boys came to him as a Co worker.
- 8:49So he approached the rabbi telling him, you know, I have a
- 8:52job, you have a job, I'm going to give a class.
- 8:56Father, you give the class 1st, we'll rotate you give it first.
- 8:58All right, how's that? Good move so far.
- 9:02Other rabbi gets white in the face.
- 9:03They told me he got white in the face yesterday because he got
- 9:07nervous. He's not prepared to give a
- 9:09class. At the same time, he's not
- 9:11really someone in the mood. Is the hint for his coworker,
- 9:14the younger guy, to give a stronger, better, more powerful
- 9:18class. You know, get all the boys
- 9:20involved and a little excited. Now, what's like this is a major
- 9:23challenge. We're talking about Torah.
- 9:25We're talking about a person doing his job, right?
- 9:28Sounds like a case goes, do you think?
- 9:30I told my friend yesterday, I said, I'll tell you the truth.
- 9:33This is where life comes in. You think it's Torah, you think
- 9:38it's your requirement and it's your job to do what you want to
- 9:40do. I said if you're not sensitive,
- 9:43if you don't figure out a way to make sure that the other person
- 9:46feels right in the process. Doesn't mean don't give it, give
- 9:48the class, but figure out a way to do the dance.
- 9:52What's the dance? For example, don't bring all the
- 9:56boys out of the Bama Josh while the other rabbi is there.
- 9:59Do it at a different time. You know, give the other rabbi a
- 10:01proper cover. Involve him in your planning.
- 10:05Figure out a way. But that's what sensitivity
- 10:06comes in. And there are layers of
- 10:08sensitivity in life. There are endless examples of
- 10:12how a person can be sensitive. Endless.
- 10:14That's a very common item. This is a very common item in
- 10:18the rabbi in the teaching world. And if you don't have
- 10:21sensitivity, you can literally really hurt a person and you can
- 10:26say it's in the name of Todah now at the same time if you're
- 10:30overly careful. This is a good person.
- 10:34Good people. True.
- 10:35We're talking about good people. You don't.
- 10:39Think about other people. Yes.
- 10:41We're not addressing people who are bad, bad people as the same
- 10:45Yiddish Zeic cosunt. Let them figure themselves out.
- 10:48All these challenges of the people who are good people, good
- 10:52people have the flaws and face the challenge that we're talking
- 10:55about. When they're doing something you
- 10:57think, is this the right thing? To a good person has to have
- 11:01sensitivity. If we got to deal with
- 11:04situations in life, that's our job.
- 11:07You know you have a some ha see, they have a great day, but
- 11:12they're not Spotify. There you go.
- 11:14You have a some ha. How do you deal with the some
- 11:16ha? I'll give you 1000 examples,
- 11:18right? You have a some ha every guest
- 11:21walks in. How much time do you spend with
- 11:22them? Say what everybody?
- 11:25How do you dance with people? Everybody say hello to everybody
- 11:28or do you invite? Well, you're not about you can't
- 11:30about everybody, right? Again, how do you dance?
- 11:33How much do you dance? Who you go over to?
- 11:36How much time do you spend with them?
- 11:37How much do you talk to them? What do you say to them?
- 11:40How about the people who go to the party?
- 11:41What kind of result do they give?
- 11:43What kind of common words do they give?
- 11:44There are endless and upon endless examples.
- 11:47I had a thing I give you some was passionate about by my
- 11:50backyard. We had a little get together for
- 11:51the families in honor of my baby daughter.
- 11:55OK, very nice. Now it was a family only, but I
- 11:59have a neighbor who lives next doors who could see my backyard,
- 12:03who's in the backyard, who could see the backyard, and I know
- 12:07them. They're not going to realize
- 12:08it's family only. They can't really tell.
- 12:09You just see people. You just see people I don't know
- 12:12whose family is not family. So we had to invite and we
- 12:14didn't invite. The only outsider was my
- 12:18neighbor. They don't really fit in the
- 12:21picture at all. No relation to the situation at
- 12:24all, but they were invited. That's even weirder.
- 12:27But yeah, but they felt after the party, the end of the body.
- 12:30Good relationship. With their neighbors, that's
- 12:32sure. At the end of the party, they
- 12:33came up with us and they said, we just want to thank you for
- 12:37inviting us. We looked around and we realized
- 12:39we're the only one who is in family and we feel so honored.
- 12:43That's what they said. They could have said we feel so
- 12:44weird, but they say you feel so honored that you included us,
- 12:47Right. So that's an example.
- 12:50It's it's a thought. It's you have to expand your
- 12:53mind and look at the whole zone, not just our vision ahead of us.
- 12:59I look at the entire peripheral vision of what's going on and
- 13:02what people are taking in. You have a party, look at the
- 13:05whole picture. Person has he notices someone
- 13:07dealing with something. Look at the whole picture.
- 13:10Have to absorb the whole picture in order to have proper
- 13:14sensitivity in life. And if you do say you're a
- 13:16Hasid, and if you don't do so, you can be hurting people left
- 13:20and right and not even knowing. I know people who have made some
- 13:25of life's biggest mistakes, OK, who have caused unbelievable
- 13:30disaster and sensitivity in their fights.
- 13:33And they probably, they didn't know what they were doing for
- 13:35years. That's how bad it was.
- 13:38They didn't know what they did. They never knew what they did.
- 13:40Why 'cause it was so focused on themselves or what's in front of
- 13:44them and on their own growth and their own building in any area,
- 13:48and not really focused on what God wants.
- 13:50It's all about Hashem, the bottom line, and if I Shim were
- 13:54here, he think he would want you to hurt the other guy for the
- 13:56sake of your building. No, he wouldn't.
- 13:58You don't think he has another way forward.
- 13:59He always has a way forward without hurting people.
- 14:02And it's our only say. You want our challenge to do
- 14:05things as a Hasid the things which is seeing the whole
- 14:09person. That's what he's saying over
- 14:10here. All right.
- 14:11Now holds it as to have a good relationship with vinegar.
- 14:13Matter of the Barclay we had before Michael came to his
- 14:18family with tiny people that owned the building and they used
- 14:21to take care of. If she had any problem he was
- 14:25there taking care of her. Used to watch my sister make
- 14:28sure that the boy was good with. Her friends are better neighbors
- 14:30than. This I know, yeah.
- 14:31We know he had. When my sister got engaged, she
- 14:34invited them. Great.
- 14:37They were there. They were in the house.
- 14:39You know, they were tremendous people.
- 14:42Tremendous. They couldn't ask for better
- 14:43people. That happened.
- 14:46OK, It's my opinion. Always people, this happens all
- 14:50the time. Their family gets bigger.
- 14:52So if they happen to not have a relationship with one uncle,
- 14:56sibling, even hash along, that could be you.
- 14:59I live with a family. I don't really feel it.
- 15:02Fine. You peel the onion and then you
- 15:05peel the onion and then you peel the onion and eventually it gets
- 15:09small and eventually it doesn't feel the same and eventually
- 15:13life is not as good. You know, there are people
- 15:15pitching in for you and helping you and being there for you, and
- 15:18it's not worth it to get started down that mindset.
- 15:21And persons say to themselves always, I don't want to allow
- 15:24even one person if I can, I don't have even one person who
- 15:29has a significant real gripe against me.
- 15:31Of course, I don't always have the ability to do that.
- 15:33It's hard to do that. Life is life, business is
- 15:36business. You know, these things are
- 15:38difficult. But just because our families
- 15:40and our worlds have expanded doesn't mean we're able to peel
- 15:43the onion more. I have to peel even less.
- 15:46They're doing something wrong. I remember, you know, going to
- 15:49Roshana. Supposedly there's no time.
- 15:52You could barely make it to to touch Live Today.
- 15:56I remember getting above the table, going to my aunts, each
- 16:00and everyone. Now my aunts, my mother and
- 16:04father's aunts. So they're my great aunts.
- 16:07We visited every single one of them on the holiday, but we
- 16:10still made a decision. I don't know what happened, but
- 16:13everything, well, it's everything got diluted.
- 16:16People lost the importance of how special to have your.
- 16:22Your parents, you know, the old days, you used to do that all
- 16:25the time. My ponders.
- 16:25Yeah, me to his family all the time.
- 16:27I wish on TV we didn't have to do those things.
- 16:29Yeah. Life got bigger and small at the
- 16:31same time. Life got much more busy with the
- 16:34vocals or do whatever, but not involving those of course.
- 16:38We didn't get bit saying getting busier, that means, you know,
- 16:41other important things, you know, but they've lost that
- 16:44item. So then what happened?
- 16:46Then they get diluted, then their own aunts and uncles mean
- 16:49less and then even the cavort for the parents are less.
- 16:52They're all because of that item.
- 16:55And that now people, you know, their friends are more important
- 16:59than their family, very close. They're more closer with their
- 17:01friends than they are with their.
- 17:03Families all in a channel. Weddings, yeah.
- 17:05You can't do all the time and they you save, you see 40-50
- 17:10guys, they all love each other. They all be rich in pains.
- 17:13No, they're all together. Fucking, but I believe all
- 17:17that's OK. But not instead of your family,
- 17:20right? The way to level.
- 17:22Go look at grandparents at a wedding now.
- 17:24They, they turned into like roadkill.
- 17:26They could, they could get trampled out at any moment and
- 17:29you just got to get them out of there.
- 17:30It's wild. We're I I look at a wedding
- 17:33video from my cousin from the 80s right?
- 17:36So they come up all reserved for the grandparents.
- 17:40The front. It was all about that the world
- 17:43has changed. When you see like maybe 3 hours.
- 17:45Later then, the friends got involved.
- 17:47Do you know in certain places you remember the knows that
- 17:50first dance is always great. The first dances are only the
- 17:53elders, right? The opening dances are the
- 17:56elders and I have seen even in the Shiva circle as I was a
- 17:59fisherman where the young guy is jumping.
- 18:01I say, guys, this is levels of respect.
- 18:04This isn't even saying sure. Oh, we have a world.
