- Lisa French: You've done everything right. The vision board is gorgeous, the affirmations are on loop, you've scripted your dream life down to the last detail. And you let yourself feel every bit of it. You followed the advice from every teacher you could find and still nothing. The bank bounce hasn't moved, the person you pictured hasn't shown up. The life you keep reaching for still feels like it belongs to someone else. And if you're honest, there's a voice inside your head starting to wonder if maybe you're the problem. Maybe you're just not one of the lucky ones. I want to talk about that today. Because the reason your manifestation stall probably has nothing to do with your vision board. Here's what I've learned. There's a Quiet tug of war going on inside of you. Part of you was steering towards something new, and part of you was still driving to an old set of directions. Let me show you what the older part is, how to spot it and how to bring it over to your side. Picture your mind in two parts. There's a part you're aware of right now, the part reading the road signs and choosing the destination. That's you. In the driver's seat. It's the voice that says, I want more money. I want to feel love. I want to feel good in my body again. But here's the one thing about driving. Once you've done it long enough, most of it runs on autopilot. You pulled into your own driveway with no memory of the drive home, right? That wasn't the driver paying attention. That was the automatic part of you running the whole trip in the background. That automatic part is your subconscious. And far more than any of us realize, most of our day is run by it. The beliefs you absorbed long ago, you might not even remember where they come from. Its whole job is to keep you safe. But safe to this part of you doesn't mean happy and it doesn't mean abundant. Safe means familiar. So there you are in the driver's seat saying, New destination. Somewhere I've never been. And the autopilot pulls up the old map, the one built from everything you've lived before before you knew any better. And it says, I don't have a route to that address. That's not where we go. And it quietly steers you back toward the roads you've driven a thousand times before. Think about where that old map came from. If you grew up hearing money doesn't grow on trees. Your programming filed away that money is scarce and it's hard to hold on to. If you've had your heart broken badly enough, it may have filed away that love isn't safe. So when you announce I'm a magnet for money and love, that old programming checks it against the map, finds a conflict, and hits the break. Not out of cruelty, but Out of loyalty, it thinks it's protecting you. It's an old protection, running a route, you've outgrown. And until that part of you is on board with a new destination, you can visualize all day and still end up parked in the same driveway. Let me tell you where I've lived this myself. For as long as I can remember, I've felt like The way my life has played out, the lessons that I've learned along the way were meant to be shared to help others. And people around me kept saying the same thing. They were saying that even though I love to write, the real connection would come through my personality and my authenticity, that I was the brand. I heard it, I felt it. I said, Yes, that's where I want to go. And then I hesitated every time because writing felt safe to me. Writing let me share the lesson while keeping a little distance, letting people see and hear me instead of just reading my curated words, that was a different thing entirely. That's where the imposter syndrome crept in. Why would people care? What will people who know me think? I'm not better than anyone else, so why me? In order to be seen, I needed to turn off that autopilot of thoughts telling me I wasn't ready or good enough. I needed to consciously choose a different route, even if I was scared of showing up. You can't change beliefs if they're hidden. So before we can rewire anything, we must turn on the lights. Here are three simple ways to discover the programming that's steering you. One, you let your body answer. You find a quiet spot, close your eyes, take a couple slow breaths. Now say your desire out loud like you mean it. I'm financially free. I'm in a loving and secure relationship. Then get quiet and notice what your body does. Is there a tightness in your throat? A drop in your stomach? Does your jaw clench? Or do you feel nothing at all like you're speaking a language you don't understand? The reaction is your clue. It's not proof that the desire is impossible. It's a gauge on the dashboard pointing straight at your conflict. Two, listen for the echo. Take an affirmation you say all the time. Let's use I'm worthy of good things. Say it out loud, then listen for the very first thought that fires back. Be honest, don't clean it up. Did a little voice snap back? Yeah, right. Or not after everything you did. That first response, the one that you didn't choose, is the belief that's sitting underneath the affirmation. Most people try to shout over that voice with more affirmations, and that rarely works. The point isn't to drown it out. It's to hear it clearly because it's telling you exactly which program needs updating. Three. Three, climb the why ladder. Grab paper, write your desire at the top. Say, I want to manifest $100,000. Then ask why. And answer it honestly. Because I want to feel secure. Why do you want to feel secure? Because I want to quit the job that's burning me out. Why? Because I want peace. I'm tired of being stressed all the time. Why does peace feel so out of reach? Because deep down I always feel like I'm in survival mode and I never get to rest. Why don't you get to rest? Because I was taught you have to be struggling to be a good person. And there it is. You started at money and you landed on a belief that ties your worth to struggle. No wonder money feels bought. Your programming is telling you that money means not struggling, and you're not good unless you are struggling. Those three, the echo, the body, and the while, are how you see the hidden belief. And once you can see a belief, you stop being a passenger and you get to edit it. So rewire it. Finding the block is the win that makes everything else possible. But now comes the real work. And it isn't a fight with yourself. It's a conversation. Name it and thank it. Take the belief you uncovered. Say it's I have to struggle to be worthy. Don't attack it. Say out loud or on paper, I see you. Thank you for trying to keep me good by the rules that you learned. But that rule is out of date now and it's costing me more than it's saving me. I'm choosing to release it. Sounds a little strange the first time. It's also disarming. You're taking the charge out of the belief and telling your nervous system you're safe. That is how you begin to show your mind something new. Now we're gonna build an evidence log. Your old belief is strong because your brain has mountains of evidence for it. Every time you struggled and survived, it filed another note that said, see, struggle works. Your job is to start a new folder. Your brain is always filtering millions of bits of information and showing you what it decides matters. You also get a say in what it flags. So each day, write down at least three small pieces of proof for the belief you want. If the new belief is money can come to me with ease, your proof might be I found five dollars in my coat pocket. A bill came back lower than I expected. A client paid without me having to chase them down. It feels a little forced at first, but give it a week and your brain starts handing you evidence on its own. You won't change your world overnight. You're changing the filter you see it through. Now rehearse the feeling. Logic alone rarely moves a deep belief. To bring the subconscious or the automatic part of you on board, you have to speak its language, which is feeling. The easiest time is that drowsy stretch right before sleep. When the analytical mind goes quiet, picture one small scene of your desire as if it's already real. Not the big moment, the ordinary one. Not the job offer, but a quiet Tuesday, a month in, feeling settled. Not the wedding, but their hand in yours. On a normal evening, relaxing on the couch together. Step into it. Don't just watch it. What do you see? What do you hear? And most of all, what do you feel? Loop that feeling as you drift off to sleep. You're giving your mind and body a chance to practice what that future feels like. So it starts to feel less foreign and more like something that's available to you. Then start living like that person. already exist the person that you want to be in the life that you want this is where most people stall so don't skip it manifestation is not passive you don't think your way into a new life you behave your way into it ask one question a day what would the version of me who already has this be doing right now then do that as much as you can would the secure version of you avoid the looking at the bank statement Or look at it calmly and just get information with the version of you who expects a healthy relationship, keep settling for inconsistent attention, or start making choices that reflect the kind of love you want. Start small. Every time you choose your future self's move over your habit, you cast a vote for who you are becoming. That's the loudest signal you can send. This is who you are now. There's one last piece, and it's a little bit of a paradox. After all that focus, you loosen your grip, not on the desire, but on the how and the when. When you keep checking, did it show up yet? Did they text back? Is it working? The desire can start to feel like something that you need to be okay. Letting go brings you back into your own life, your own energy, and the things you can choose today. So do the work and then go live your life. Find something good today. Today. Trust that you set a real process in motion. I did a whole episode on this part, the one about how I won a fire pit. So I won't repeat all of that here. But if you missed it, you can go back and watch it after this. The short version is the less you grip, the more room you leave for it to arrive. If you've been feeling stolid, it isn't a reflection on your worth. It's a message. It's a part of you that's running on an old map. Trying to keep you safe in a life that you've already outgrown. The good news is you're not stuck with that programming. You are the one in the driver's seat and you get to redraw the route. And if you want a head start, I do have a free visualization guide for intentional creation that walks you through this kind of inner work step by step. You can get it at LisaFrench dot rocks forward slash visualization. Or there's also a link in the show notes. If this is home, subscribe or follow and stick around because we talk about these type of topics every week. It'll also help others find this episode. One last thing, leave a comment and name one old belief you're ready to release. Saying it out loud is the first move. Thank you so much for spending this time with me today. I appreciate you. Until next time. Remember you are always in the driver's seat of your own life.
