Durham Man Pleads Guilty in Tragic Shooting | Durham News
A Durham man, Brian Luster, just pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for killing five-year-old Khloe Fennell and attempted murder for shooting her babysitter, Destiny Sidberry, a 15-year-old girl. The horrific incident occurred in July 2023 at Luster’s home — where he was living with Khloe and her mother, his cousin — after police initially responded to a drug overdose call. Sidberry was critically injured; Khloe died. Luster, already with a criminal record dating back to 2001 and over 50 charges since age 19, faces sentencing on December 17th.
