- 0:01Speaker 1: Hey, guys, it's Chelsea and we wanted to thank you
- 0:03Speaker 1: for listening to Dear Chelsea this year. We appreciate your
- 0:07Speaker 1: support and we cannot wait for you to hear what
- 0:09Speaker 1: we have in store for three on Dear Chelsea and
- 0:13Speaker 1: we are looking forward to it. So follow us subscribe.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Catherine is here to say thank you as well to
- 0:19Speaker 1: all of our listeners. Thank you, guys. We love all
- 0:22Speaker 1: of you guys for writing in, for following up with
- 0:25Speaker 1: us this little community that's being created, and we wish
- 0:28Speaker 1: you a wonderful year. Yes, happy New Year. Don't forget
- 0:32Speaker 1: to watch my special on Netflix. You guys revolution. It's
- 0:35Speaker 1: a revolution. Are you a Christmas person or a Honeko person? Chelsea? Well,
- 0:40Speaker 1: I'm a Jew technically, but I don't really know how
- 0:43Speaker 1: to spell hanakah. I know that you can spell it
- 0:45Speaker 1: anyway you want it, and it's fine, and I don't
- 0:48Speaker 1: really practice either. I have a tree and I have
- 0:51Speaker 1: a hanaka minora. Oh lovely. Yes, but I'm not lighting
- 0:54Speaker 1: candles by myself. I'm up here by myself this year.
- 0:57Speaker 1: My family is not here how, which is a huge
- 0:59Speaker 1: Victor three for me. We have spent so much time
- 1:02Speaker 1: together in the last few years that when they started
- 1:05Speaker 1: complaining about travel plants. This year, I just said, you
- 1:08Speaker 1: know what, everybody, let's just let's take the holiday to
- 1:11Speaker 1: ourselves and reflect. That's awesome. Yeah, Brad and I are
- 1:17Speaker 1: also not traveling this Christmas for the first time in
- 1:19Speaker 1: many years, and I am so pleased about it. It's great. Yeah.
- 1:25Speaker 1: I'm like, it's our first time in our new home
- 1:28Speaker 1: for Christmas, and we've got our tree and my parents
- 1:31Speaker 1: are actually going to come visit a couple of days
- 1:33Speaker 1: after Christmas, so it'll still feel Christmas. Ee nice nice, perfect. Yeah,
- 1:37Speaker 1: and you're in your new home with your new little doggie. Yes,
- 1:40Speaker 1: our new little puppy, Wendel benye myrbles. That's really something
- 1:46Speaker 1: I hope Wendel teaches you about hard boiled eggs. Oh
- 1:49Speaker 1: he has men. Those puppy farts are poisonous, disgusting. That's
- 1:54Speaker 1: what you're doing when you're bringing hard boiled eggs onto
- 1:56Speaker 1: a plane. You're bringing puppy farts in a bottle. I know,
- 2:00Speaker 1: I really need to rethink my life, Joyce. Yeah, yeah,
- 2:03Speaker 1: this is at this perfect time. We just needed somebody
- 2:06Speaker 1: to confront you. I'm going to stay home for the
- 2:08Speaker 1: holidays and reflect, yeah, and repent. Actually, yes, Chelsea, I
- 2:17Speaker 1: have an update from one of our Actually this is
- 2:20Speaker 1: just from a listener, but it was so charming and
- 2:22Speaker 1: delightful I had to read it. This is from Claire.
- 2:25Speaker 1: She's in Manchester, England. She says, Hi, Chelsea and Catherine,
- 2:29Speaker 1: I'm a bottle of wine deep, so buckle up, kids.
- 2:32Speaker 1: I thought she was going to say she's a bottom.
- 2:33Speaker 1: I'm like, aren't we all? Yeah? I mean I actually were.
- 2:41Speaker 1: I first heard Chelsea on Glenn and Doyle's podcast and
- 2:44Speaker 1: absolutely loved the way she talked about her breakup and
- 2:46Speaker 1: how she just sounded like she had her ship together.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Then I went down a rabbit hole and listened to
- 2:52Speaker 1: every single episode of the podcast and felt very deeply
- 2:55Speaker 1: in love with you both and your amazing advice. Also,
- 2:58Speaker 1: the little breadcrumbs of Brad's voice every now and then
- 3:01Speaker 1: is genius. That was cute. I have now listened to
- 3:04Speaker 1: every Chelsea Handler book, which I learn apart from the
- 3:08Speaker 1: one she didn't read herself, But that says more about
- 3:10Speaker 1: my selfishness than anything else were mine. I just wanted
- 3:15Speaker 1: to tell you that I'm now in therapy. I have
- 3:18Speaker 1: a psilocybin, bar of chocolate and root, and I'm ever
- 3:21Speaker 1: so slightly codependent on you both. I have looked into
- 3:24Speaker 1: myself more than ever before and am able to forgive
- 3:27Speaker 1: myself and protect myself more now because of you two.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you, thank you. Claire. Oh my god, Claire,
- 3:34Speaker 1: Hi Claire, that's so sweet. Thank you for writing that
- 3:37Speaker 1: letter to us. Sound nice? What isn't it nice to
- 3:40Speaker 1: know people are going down wormholes about you and you
- 3:42Speaker 1: don't even know about. Yes, it's so exciting, and it's
- 3:46Speaker 1: just like this podcast is doing so much good in
- 3:51Speaker 1: so many people's lives, and these little communities are starting.
- 3:55Speaker 1: I actually have another very exciting update. Are they monkeypox communities?
- 4:00Speaker 1: Hopefully not. I'm fixated on monkey pots and I won't
- 4:04Speaker 1: get past it. Everyone else has forgotten about it, but
- 4:07Speaker 1: not chill. You know, I'm not me. I'm like, let's go. Yes.
- 4:10Speaker 1: So we have like a whole pocket of wonderful women
- 4:13Speaker 1: in n y C. Who are like potentially starting a
- 4:15Speaker 1: meetup group, which is very exciting. Really a meet up
- 4:18Speaker 1: group like for what like for we're fans of Dear
- 4:22Speaker 1: Chelsea and we're independent and single and like love to
- 4:24Speaker 1: hang out and do fun things. Oh my god, I
- 4:27Speaker 1: love it. I love it. That's like the theme of
- 4:29Speaker 1: the special, you know, independence and single doom. I didn't
- 4:32Speaker 1: know how many women feeling to Yes, exactly. There's a
- 4:36Speaker 1: whole group of there's a whole swath of women out
- 4:38Speaker 1: there that need to be represented for not getting married
- 4:41Speaker 1: and having babies. It's true though. It's true though. And
- 4:44Speaker 1: you know what I was thinking about this recently. I
- 4:47Speaker 1: think something that you do for people, because you know,
- 4:51Speaker 1: we get a lot of emails that are how do
- 4:53Speaker 1: I say this? Should I come out and say this
- 4:55Speaker 1: to this person? I think what you do is you're
- 4:57Speaker 1: sort of, in a way their voice and giving them
- 5:00Speaker 1: this boldness and you say what you think, and you're
- 5:04Speaker 1: like not afraid to set boundaries or have difficult conversations.
- 5:09Speaker 1: And I think it's it's a really inspiring thing for people.
- 5:12Speaker 1: It's like they can sort of channel your voice when
- 5:14Speaker 1: they have to have difficult conversations. Great. I would love
- 5:18Speaker 1: nothing more than that to be my purpose in life.
- 5:23Speaker 1: I give I provide a little bottle of bitchiness that
- 5:25Speaker 1: you're lacking. I love that. I have another very exciting update.
- 5:33Speaker 1: You're pregnant. No, no, I'm pregnant. Oh my gosh, Brad's pregnant.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Brad is pregnant. He actually he gave birth to our
- 5:42Speaker 1: little wend I know. So remember Anna who wrote in
- 5:49Speaker 1: a couple of weeks ago and was having some dental
- 5:52Speaker 1: work done and she was really concerned about the cause
- 5:55Speaker 1: and she was also having some shame spirals around all
- 5:58Speaker 1: of that stuff. Well, we talked about her go fund
- 6:02Speaker 1: me here on the show, and as of right now,
- 6:05Speaker 1: Dear Chelsea listeners have donated seven thousand, two hundred and
- 6:11Speaker 1: sixty dollars toward her goal to get her dental work done,
- 6:16Speaker 1: which is so exciting. It's so exciting. That's so nice, everybody.
- 6:21Speaker 1: That's so nice to be generous in giving to somebody
- 6:24Speaker 1: a need that always comes back. I just had a
- 6:27Speaker 1: conversation with one of my relatives about generosity, you know,
- 6:31Speaker 1: and how it always comes back, and how it's so
- 6:34Speaker 1: good to exercise generosity and practice it whether you have
- 6:37Speaker 1: money or time or whatever, like just not to hold
- 6:40Speaker 1: onto things so tightly, and especially when someone is in
- 6:44Speaker 1: need and you can help them, it feels so good.
- 6:47Speaker 1: And especially when you have a lot of people toward
- 6:50Speaker 1: a common goal. It's like some people donated a lot,
- 6:52Speaker 1: some people donated five bucks, and it all goes right
- 6:56Speaker 1: toward helping someone out. It's just wonderful. Just a couple
- 7:00Speaker 1: of things. People have said that we're really sweet as
- 7:02Speaker 1: well because they can leave comments in the go fund me.
- 7:05Speaker 1: May you continue to ask for what you need without
- 7:07Speaker 1: shame or guilt. Smile big Merry Christmas from a dear
- 7:11Speaker 1: Chelsea listener. Proud of you. I'm so sorry you're experiencing
- 7:16Speaker 1: this medical hardship, but you got this. I briefly hadn't
- 7:18Speaker 1: eating disorder many years ago, so I know how hard
- 7:21Speaker 1: this is. But you came out fighting on the other side.
- 7:24Speaker 1: I mean, if this is what I'm talking about with
- 7:25Speaker 1: community that's forming, it's just really exciting. How much money
- 7:30Speaker 1: did she need to make? I mean, how much was
- 7:31Speaker 1: the cost of everything? Like? Her total is eighteen thousand,
- 7:36Speaker 1: and this number is just growing every single day since
- 7:40Speaker 1: we're talking about it today. We'll pop the link right
- 7:42Speaker 1: in the description again, so if anybody wants to donate
- 7:44Speaker 1: that forgot too before or one and two before, it'll
- 7:47Speaker 1: be right there in the description. So it's all a
- 7:50Speaker 1: very happy holiday. This is great. I'm going to take
- 7:52Speaker 1: Burton Bernice's college tuition obviously, and just throw it towards
- 7:55Speaker 1: this woman's day. That sounds great, that sounds perfect, both
- 7:59Speaker 1: of those two. It's aren't going to get into college
- 8:02Speaker 1: just like their mother, you know, not even a state
- 8:04Speaker 1: at school. No, not even community college. You know. I
- 8:08Speaker 1: actually went to community college for one semester, and it
- 8:10Speaker 1: was those were some of the best classes that I
- 8:14Speaker 1: took at any of the three colleges that I went to.
- 8:16Speaker 1: So I went to a semester of community college as well, Katherine.
- 8:20Speaker 1: It was called the County College of Morris in Morristown,
- 8:23Speaker 1: New Jersey, and I went and I studied Russian history.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Very ironically, that was what I was interested in, and
- 8:29Speaker 1: I guess that was a foreshadow to what was to
- 8:31Speaker 1: come in my life with my Russian sister in law.
- 8:34Speaker 1: And you're, you know, railing against Putin and all of
- 8:37Speaker 1: these things. I'm actually so not surprised. That's like such
- 8:41Speaker 1: an intellectual thing to decide this study. Well, you know me,
- 8:43Speaker 1: I'm such I'm such an intellect but you are. I mean,
- 8:46Speaker 1: you're like always reading, You're always doing your thing. Like
- 8:50Speaker 1: I just read a great book, by the way, that
- 8:51Speaker 1: everyone should read called The Great Alone. It's so do
- 8:54Speaker 1: you have you read that? No, it's really intense. I
- 8:58Speaker 1: mean it's really about a subject matter that I wouldn't
- 9:00Speaker 1: ever normally be interested in. Carla, my assistant, gave it
- 9:03Speaker 1: to me out a plane and I read the whole
- 9:05Speaker 1: thing and I was like, oh my god. It was
- 9:08Speaker 1: about well alone, nous and moving to Alaska and like
- 9:12Speaker 1: homesteading in Alaska, this couple family living off the grid,
- 9:17Speaker 1: and just how dangerous and scary and alone you are,
- 9:21Speaker 1: and like the end of the World the last for Tier.
- 9:23Speaker 1: It's by Kristin Hannah, and she's a very descriptive writer,
- 9:26Speaker 1: and usually that's not really my cup of tea. She's
- 9:28Speaker 1: like kind of like a female John Steinbeck, you know,
- 9:31Speaker 1: when there's lots of descriptive writing and lots of there's
- 9:34Speaker 1: a lot of authors that do that, and I like
- 9:36Speaker 1: to write dialogue, so I'm always like looking for, you know,
- 9:39Speaker 1: something more on my side of things. But it was
- 9:42Speaker 1: it's beautiful. She's a really good writer, and she that's lovely. Yeah,
- 9:46Speaker 1: it's a big book, but it's worth reading. The Great Alone.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Oh that's wonderful. And then I got home last night
- 9:52Speaker 1: I was like, all right, I need a new book
- 9:53Speaker 1: to start. So I picked out some Rudyard Kipling. I'm like,
- 9:55Speaker 1: I haven't read him ever, probably, And then I read
- 9:58Speaker 1: ted pages and thought, I know why I haven't read
- 10:01Speaker 1: this fuck off? And then I picked up The Paper
- 10:03Speaker 1: Palace and how I'm a hundred pages into that, so,
- 10:06Speaker 1: you know, lovely. Yeah, I'm not reading for homework anymore.
- 10:10Speaker 1: I've decided not during this winter, especially when I'm writing
- 10:13Speaker 1: a book. I want to read for pleasure. Yeah. I
- 10:15Speaker 1: went through a similar thing where I just was like, wait,
- 10:18Speaker 1: I think I'm resisting reading right now because every book
- 10:21Speaker 1: on my nightstand is like some medical thing or some
- 10:25Speaker 1: this or that, and I'm like, I'm just going to
- 10:26Speaker 1: read a fun be trade. So I just started The
- 10:29Speaker 1: Beautiful Ruins and I'm excited. I'm very good. Yeah. Yeah,
- 10:33Speaker 1: it's nice to lose yourself in a book. There's really
- 10:36Speaker 1: nothing quite like it. Yeah. Okay. So our guest today
- 10:40Speaker 1: is an author, teacher, speaker, and my favorite psychic medium ever.
- 10:45Speaker 1: She wrote the book Signs and The Light Between Us.
- 10:48Speaker 1: So please welcome Laura Lene Jackson. So happy to be here.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Thank you for inviting me on. I know you don't
- 10:54Speaker 1: love to go. You have a little bit of a
- 10:56Speaker 1: travel situation, right. You don't love to leave New York.
- 10:59Speaker 1: I know you live in Long Eye, but you don't
- 11:00Speaker 1: love to go too far away from home, right. No,
- 11:04Speaker 1: actually do like to travel. I just have so much
- 11:06Speaker 1: going on it's hard sometimes. But Oh, I thought you
- 11:08Speaker 1: had some sort of anxiety about like, oh really, Yeah, no,
- 11:13Speaker 1: I love it. I'm like, let me leave my family
- 11:15Speaker 1: for a few days. That's what I do. I even
- 11:18Speaker 1: have a family, and I'm ready to leave them. But
- 11:21Speaker 1: Laura's been integral many times in my life, like when
- 11:24Speaker 1: I've been going through a difficult time, because I am
- 11:26Speaker 1: very open to mediumship and I am very open to
- 11:28Speaker 1: psychic abilities. And I really feel that, as we've discussed
- 11:32Speaker 1: on this podcast various times, the more open you are,
- 11:35Speaker 1: the more you get to see, you know, and the
- 11:37Speaker 1: more closed minded you are at you the more you miss.
- 11:40Speaker 1: And especially when we lose loved ones and that grief
- 11:43Speaker 1: is really just not even describable, it is so comforting
- 11:49Speaker 1: to believe that those people are not really ever gone.
- 11:53Speaker 1: And I really have learned over the course of many
- 11:55Speaker 1: years and a lot through our relationship Laura, that that
- 12:00Speaker 1: is so true and the more you are open to it,
- 12:02Speaker 1: the more you feel it, the more the signs you see,
- 12:05Speaker 1: and the more comfort you gain. So I think Laura
- 12:09Speaker 1: tell us a little bit just refreshed people who aren't
- 12:12Speaker 1: familiar with you. How you came about to be this
- 12:15Speaker 1: person in everybody's lives. Yeah, so I didn't, you know,
- 12:18Speaker 1: start out thinking, oh, hey, I'm going to become a
- 12:20Speaker 1: psychic medium as my career. In life, I was psychic
- 12:23Speaker 1: since I was a child. I would see people in
- 12:25Speaker 1: colors and I would feel what they were feeling. But
- 12:27Speaker 1: I just thought that was the way the world worked.
- 12:29Speaker 1: I thought we all experienced that, you know. When as
- 12:31Speaker 1: I got older, I quickly realized that's not so true.
- 12:34Speaker 1: And then I kind of didn't know what to do
- 12:36Speaker 1: with my abilities, so I kind of hid them for
- 12:38Speaker 1: a while. I was a high school in this teacher
- 12:40Speaker 1: for almost twenty years, and then I would volunteer quietly
- 12:43Speaker 1: on the side for an organization called the Forever Family Foundation,
- 12:48Speaker 1: helping a lot of parents who had lost children and
- 12:50Speaker 1: we're in grief. It's a great organization. Everybody should join in.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Membership is free. And then one day I went to
- 12:55Speaker 1: hall duty as a teacher, and I sat down on
- 12:58Speaker 1: my little hall duty desk and I got this huge
- 13:00Speaker 1: download from the universe, and it was like a seven
- 13:03Speaker 1: hour conversation in the millisecond. And they told me you're
- 13:05Speaker 1: going to be writing a book, you're going to become
- 13:07Speaker 1: a speaker, you're gonna go do workshops, you're gonna and
- 13:10Speaker 1: this whole plan in front of me. And when I
- 13:13Speaker 1: get those download, there's no emotion attached. And I'm sure
- 13:16Speaker 1: you guys have had that experience too, right, it's just
- 13:18Speaker 1: this knowing. And is it like a voice in your
- 13:21Speaker 1: head that comes to you. That's such a great question. Right,
- 13:23Speaker 1: So it's not like a voice outside of me, but
- 13:25Speaker 1: it's almost as if I've had this really long conversation.
- 13:28Speaker 1: It's like an energy language. It's an emotional language. You
- 13:31Speaker 1: know how we all have subtext going on in our
- 13:33Speaker 1: own minds, like the narratives we tell ourselves and thoughts
- 13:36Speaker 1: running through So this these are thoughts that come to
- 13:39Speaker 1: you rather than from you. You know, we all have
- 13:43Speaker 1: those experiences. I just think because I'm so open and
- 13:46Speaker 1: tuned in, I'm really cognizant when I have them, where
- 13:49Speaker 1: other people might be like, what was that and ignore it?
- 13:51Speaker 1: That's why. I also say, like, pay attention to the
- 13:53Speaker 1: information you get, to the downloads you get. And what
- 13:56Speaker 1: I love too is I always hear artists and other
- 13:59Speaker 1: people talking about getting downloads. It's actually this term we
- 14:02Speaker 1: all seemed to use for it. So I got my
- 14:05Speaker 1: download and within twenty four hours I had a book
- 14:07Speaker 1: agent and I was going and remember coming home and
- 14:09Speaker 1: telling my husband, guess what, I'm writing a book and
- 14:12Speaker 1: this is going to happen, and it just all unfolded.
- 14:15Speaker 1: I don't always get that much clarity for myself because
- 14:18Speaker 1: I think that's, you know, cheating. I'm having this human
- 14:20Speaker 1: experience too, and it's really important for me to navigate
- 14:24Speaker 1: spiritually my own path. But when I do have that knowing,
- 14:27Speaker 1: I always honor it. And so that's what led me.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Once my first book came out, I tried to teach
- 14:32Speaker 1: and do that, but it got a little overwhelming and
- 14:34Speaker 1: I had to make a choice. Did I want to
- 14:36Speaker 1: commit to sharing this knowledge with the world and looking
- 14:40Speaker 1: at the world is my classroom, or did I want
- 14:42Speaker 1: to go back to teaching high school English, you know,
- 14:45Speaker 1: in a four world classroom. And I quickly got clarity
- 14:48Speaker 1: that this was my highest path, which was a little scary,
- 14:51Speaker 1: but also I think it's so important when we have
- 14:54Speaker 1: those moments of choice on our own spiritual journeys, our
- 14:57Speaker 1: own life journeys, to challenge ourselves to to riot, to
- 15:01Speaker 1: not make decisions based in fear, but to trust, to
- 15:04Speaker 1: trust in the universe, to trust that we are all
- 15:07Speaker 1: so loved and so protected and so very guided that
- 15:10Speaker 1: we just need to tune in and honor that. Yeah,
- 15:13Speaker 1: and that's something that you really imparted with me. Also
- 15:15Speaker 1: on a more recent level, because I had filmed my
- 15:19Speaker 1: own special this year, my stand up special, which is
- 15:22Speaker 1: the best special I've ever done. You know, I've had
- 15:24Speaker 1: the most clarity, the most upstanding work ethic for myself,
- 15:27Speaker 1: the most commitment I've ever had to my craft doing this,
- 15:31Speaker 1: And I was selling the special. I just decided to
- 15:34Speaker 1: shoot it myself and then sell it myself because I
- 15:36Speaker 1: wanted to maintain ownership. And after I shot it, there's
- 15:40Speaker 1: a lot of interest from a lot of different places.
- 15:42Speaker 1: And I called Laura and we It was also after
- 15:45Speaker 1: I broken up with Joe, so she was kind of
- 15:46Speaker 1: giving me guidance on that front as well. Because I
- 15:49Speaker 1: wanted to handle myself with as much grace and dignity
- 15:51Speaker 1: as possible, and she was crucial in making me level
- 15:56Speaker 1: up to that. She's like, this is a soul test.
- 15:59Speaker 1: I was like, body and I had another one. She's like,
- 16:02Speaker 1: you must operate this way. I'm like, I'll do whatever
- 16:05Speaker 1: you say anyway. I when I was talking to Laura
- 16:08Speaker 1: about that, about my breakup and about she said, let's
- 16:12Speaker 1: talk about career stuff. There's a lot of exciting things
- 16:14Speaker 1: that are about to happen. You're about to, you know,
- 16:16Speaker 1: sell the special. And I was like, well, where am
- 16:18Speaker 1: I going to sell it? And she's like, I see Netflix.
- 16:21Speaker 1: And I was like, at this point, now I wasn't
- 16:23Speaker 1: even in conversation with Netflix because I had interest from
- 16:27Speaker 1: three other places. Netflix had a full slate of comedy specials.
- 16:30Speaker 1: They were saying they were closed, that they couldn't afford me.
- 16:33Speaker 1: You know, the market had changed, blah blah blah. They
- 16:35Speaker 1: weren't even looking for specials, so we weren't even giving
- 16:38Speaker 1: it to Netflix. And I said, I don't even think
- 16:41Speaker 1: it's going to Netflix. And she said, you're gonna have
- 16:43Speaker 1: three offers and you're gonna end up at Netflix. She
- 16:46Speaker 1: said that about four months ago. At the time I
- 16:49Speaker 1: had zero offers and I had the Netflix hadn't even
- 16:52Speaker 1: seen it. And a couple of months went by and
- 16:56Speaker 1: there was still there was like a lot of chatter,
- 16:59Speaker 1: but no firm off for from anyone, and I was
- 17:01Speaker 1: starting to get very nervous, like, wait a second, where
- 17:04Speaker 1: is this industry? This is my niche and media, Like
- 17:09Speaker 1: I'm not getting any of the things that I thought
- 17:11Speaker 1: I would get here, Like I thought it would be
- 17:13Speaker 1: an easier haul, and it was. It turned into like
- 17:16Speaker 1: quite a slog for me personally, for somebody who's used
- 17:19Speaker 1: to getting a little bit more attention or respect for
- 17:23Speaker 1: my craft. I was very stressed about it. A couple
- 17:26Speaker 1: of months went by and I reached out to Laura
- 17:28Speaker 1: again via text and I said, hey, listen, I don't
- 17:31Speaker 1: have any offers yet, and I'm starting to get nervous
- 17:34Speaker 1: that it's not going to happen. And she said, you
- 17:36Speaker 1: need to surrender it. This is already done. Just let
- 17:39Speaker 1: it go. You have nothing to worry about. And the
- 17:42Speaker 1: next weekend, Netflix saw my special made me an offer,
- 17:48Speaker 1: and then I texted her, I go, oh my god,
- 17:51Speaker 1: Netflix just made me an offer and they wanted the special,
- 17:54Speaker 1: and she said, but do you have three offers like
- 17:56Speaker 1: I told you, And I said, yes, I had three
- 17:58Speaker 1: offers just like she told Over the weekend, after she
- 18:01Speaker 1: told me to surrender and let it go, I did.
- 18:04Speaker 1: I thought, you know what, if I have to distribute
- 18:06Speaker 1: it myself, then I'll do it. I had accepted the
- 18:09Speaker 1: one thing I didn't really want to have to do.
- 18:11Speaker 1: I didn't think that was how I wanted my special
- 18:14Speaker 1: to be delivered. And now it is at Netflix and
- 18:16Speaker 1: I and I'm like, oh my god, Laura. I'm like,
- 18:20Speaker 1: I'm never talking to a therapist again. All I need
- 18:23Speaker 1: is my psychic medium. And my asked my astrologist Jay Luna,
- 18:28Speaker 1: who is also the two of you, if you guys
- 18:31Speaker 1: got together, I mean the world would be over or
- 18:34Speaker 1: or would begin again. So that's my most recent personal
- 18:37Speaker 1: story about Laura. And I also believe that because of
- 18:42Speaker 1: the length and duration of our relationship, I am more
- 18:46Speaker 1: aligned now to the universe and to things that are
- 18:50Speaker 1: working in your favor, like the idea that you know
- 18:52Speaker 1: what's not meant for you will not pass you. I
- 18:55Speaker 1: have more of an attitude that you don't have to
- 18:58Speaker 1: push so hard to make things happen. It's about trusting
- 19:01Speaker 1: that the things will happen, you know. And I think
- 19:04Speaker 1: that's a big lesson for all of us not to
- 19:07Speaker 1: push so hard and try to fit a circle into
- 19:09Speaker 1: a square. Just understand that your circle is going to
- 19:12Speaker 1: fit into some patchwork and you just have to really trust,
- 19:15Speaker 1: especially when you have the work to back it up
- 19:18Speaker 1: a hundred percent. And you know, you said something so
- 19:20Speaker 1: important there, and I think you're giving away some of
- 19:22Speaker 1: your power, you know, to me, and it's not. It's
- 19:25Speaker 1: not the case. This was going to happen for you
- 19:27Speaker 1: no matter what. I just for some reason I can
- 19:29Speaker 1: really tune into your energy and read you really want.
- 19:31Speaker 1: But the thing for you, I think it was a
- 19:33Speaker 1: timeline of the moment you surrendered that then it would
- 19:36Speaker 1: rush in because that was the sole challenge. That was
- 19:38Speaker 1: where the growth was taking place for you was trusting
- 19:41Speaker 1: and that trusting that your love protected that you are
- 19:43Speaker 1: of incredible value here. I mean, you're a light worker
- 19:46Speaker 1: through and through. And I don't know that you see
- 19:49Speaker 1: that as fully about yourself as I do, because I'm
- 19:51Speaker 1: always reading energy and seeing energy. But just what you
- 19:55Speaker 1: bring to people like you shift people's energy and profound
- 19:58Speaker 1: ways like laughter and joy and helping people laugh at themselves,
- 20:03Speaker 1: laugh at the world, see things in a different way.
- 20:06Speaker 1: You are reaching so many people that you can't even
- 20:09Speaker 1: possibly fathom. You know, one day when you cross and
- 20:11Speaker 1: you do your life review, be like WHOA. But for
- 20:13Speaker 1: now you're just gonna have to have a sense of that.
- 20:16Speaker 1: But I think when you surrendered it and you're like, okay, Universe,
- 20:20Speaker 1: I'm letting go and if I need to do it
- 20:22Speaker 1: this way, if that's the vehicle, I'll do it, And
- 20:24Speaker 1: then it's swooped right in. But I think it was
- 20:27Speaker 1: a timeline of the moment you surrendered that's going to happen.
- 20:30Speaker 1: I think so many of us hold on to what
- 20:32Speaker 1: we think is best for us. But the thing is,
- 20:34Speaker 1: the universe always dreams bigger and there's always a plan,
- 20:37Speaker 1: and our role is to just surrender it and go
- 20:40Speaker 1: along for that ride and open. I guess the thing
- 20:42Speaker 1: that always stumps me about that is there seem to
- 20:46Speaker 1: be people that are so stuck that you run into
- 20:49Speaker 1: a daily that are miserable or negative or not willing
- 20:53Speaker 1: to evolve or or look within or grow. And like
- 20:56Speaker 1: when we talk about what we're talking about, and since
- 20:59Speaker 1: everyone has a purpose because we don't want to diminish
- 21:02Speaker 1: anyone's existence, But what are the purposes of those people,
- 21:07Speaker 1: like the people that aren't growing, or or the people
- 21:09Speaker 1: that don't you know, have a gay son and change
- 21:12Speaker 1: their complete outlook about having a gay child, and they
- 21:15Speaker 1: don't open their hearts instead they remain closed, Like how
- 21:18Speaker 1: do you view those types of people in our lives?
- 21:21Speaker 1: So it's that's such a great question. I think we're
- 21:24Speaker 1: all here on Earth Earth as a school and we're
- 21:27Speaker 1: having this collective lesson in love. So you can never
- 21:30Speaker 1: look at your own life in terms of m I
- 21:32Speaker 1: success or failure based on what I can see and
- 21:35Speaker 1: what I know of my life, because you have to understand,
- 21:37Speaker 1: like we're profoundly affecting each other in ways that we
- 21:40Speaker 1: can't see. Right. So I think it's our responsibility as
- 21:45Speaker 1: individuals to find the gifts we came here with, to
- 21:48Speaker 1: find our light right, to honor them and to share
- 21:50Speaker 1: it with others, and to trust in that process. People
- 21:53Speaker 1: sometimes get stuck in their soul tests and their soul lessons,
- 21:57Speaker 1: and I don't just mean for this lifetime. Sometimes it
- 21:59Speaker 1: goes on from many life times. So if somebody is
- 22:01Speaker 1: not growing, it's that they're spiritually stuck in a cycle
- 22:05Speaker 1: that can change at any moment in profound ways. And
- 22:08Speaker 1: I think also sometimes you know, we we affect others
- 22:13Speaker 1: journeys and others paths in ways that we don't understand.
- 22:16Speaker 1: So maybe somebody who's really grumpy and is stuck in
- 22:19Speaker 1: like a certain soul path, they're one key thing for
- 22:22Speaker 1: that year is to be in a certain place at
- 22:23Speaker 1: a certain time, to be a jerk to somebody else
- 22:25Speaker 1: so that that person doesn't leave and go down the
- 22:27Speaker 1: street where something would have happened. Right. It kind of
- 22:30Speaker 1: like confuses it or ties them up, like we never
- 22:33Speaker 1: fully understand. Or somebody can be such a jerk to
- 22:36Speaker 1: you that you promised to yourself you'll never treat another
- 22:38Speaker 1: that way. Right, that's a huge point. So what you're
- 22:41Speaker 1: really talking about is energy exchange, right, And when we
- 22:44Speaker 1: get down to it, thoughts or energy and they matter
- 22:46Speaker 1: more than we can even begin to fathom. Right. But
- 22:48Speaker 1: when we have our own thoughts, if we're negative, we
- 22:50Speaker 1: throw that negative energy at somebody else. When you receive that,
- 22:53Speaker 1: you have a choice, so you can value it back
- 22:55Speaker 1: or you're going to let it release from yourself, disengage
- 22:59Speaker 1: from it. Right, not be reactive. I think that is
- 23:02Speaker 1: each of our own personal like soul tests on a
- 23:04Speaker 1: daily basis, to not be reactive to other people's negativity.
- 23:08Speaker 1: I think it's really amazing if somebody is rude to you,
- 23:11Speaker 1: if you can actually generally be kind, nice and nice
- 23:14Speaker 1: back to them, you know, sometimes it will switch their
- 23:16Speaker 1: whole energy. But even if it doesn't, you haven't absorbed
- 23:19Speaker 1: that into your own energy then, right, And that's the
- 23:22Speaker 1: case to not absorb other people's energy if it's negative, right,
- 23:27Speaker 1: because if it's positive, you do want to drink it in.
- 23:30Speaker 1: Drink it in. But I think we're all teachers to
- 23:32Speaker 1: each other too, right, So in some people's lessons go
- 23:35Speaker 1: a really long time, you know, Like you're talking about,
- 23:37Speaker 1: let's say there's a parent with a child who's gay,
- 23:39Speaker 1: and instead of like you know, opening their belief system
- 23:42Speaker 1: and their heart and being loving there, they stay stuck
- 23:45Speaker 1: in a very fearful negative space. Right. Well, maybe that's
- 23:48Speaker 1: going to take some time, and other people are involved
- 23:51Speaker 1: in helping them evolve and shift and change, Like we
- 23:55Speaker 1: all matter to each other so profoundly. Yeah, it's it's hard.
- 23:59Speaker 1: You know. There was this thing on Instagram the other
- 24:00Speaker 1: day that was showing the droves of people that crossed
- 24:04Speaker 1: through Times Square every day, and and and and it
- 24:07Speaker 1: was from this like thirty foot perspective, and it's just
- 24:10Speaker 1: a bunch of ants marching right like going through. And
- 24:14Speaker 1: I remember my brother and I were once having a conversation,
- 24:16Speaker 1: a philosophical conversation about reincarnation, and he's like, Chelsea, please,
- 24:20Speaker 1: we're just a bunch of ants marching on this planet.
- 24:22Speaker 1: There's billions of people. There's no rhyme or reason. This
- 24:25Speaker 1: is just evolution and there's nothing mystical or magical about it.
- 24:29Speaker 1: And so when I talked to someone like you, you know,
- 24:32Speaker 1: I I do feel more open minded about the idea
- 24:35Speaker 1: of reincarnation, the idea, but there is a magical element
- 24:38Speaker 1: or component that goes along with it that makes me go, well,
- 24:42Speaker 1: I don't know, do I believe in reincarnation? Do you
- 24:44Speaker 1: know the mysticism of all of it? Well? Why can't
- 24:47Speaker 1: it be both? Right? Yes, there's now eight billion of
- 24:51Speaker 1: us here on this planet and we're kind of all
- 24:53Speaker 1: ants marching around. But I think our energy does profoundly
- 24:55Speaker 1: affect eat. I mean, if Brad and Iyanna had an
- 24:58Speaker 1: argument before, you both came in to this room. Even
- 25:01Speaker 1: if you didn't have the abilities that you had, you
- 25:03Speaker 1: would feel it. You know, It's true when they say
- 25:06Speaker 1: you can cut it with a knife. And so what's
- 25:10Speaker 1: really interesting too about what you're bringing up is like
- 25:12Speaker 1: the woo woo factors what I'm going to call it.
- 25:14Speaker 1: You know, I was raised by teachers. I'm very academic
- 25:17Speaker 1: by nature, and the way I approached my abilities was
- 25:19Speaker 1: really with a really huge amount of skepticism. It's one
- 25:23Speaker 1: of the reasons that I got tested by scientists. I've
- 25:26Speaker 1: gotten tested by different organizations before I volunteered because I
- 25:29Speaker 1: needed to make sure this was legitimate. And while I
- 25:31Speaker 1: might not understand all the components and how it works,
- 25:34Speaker 1: what I do know is that it is a percent real.
- 25:37Speaker 1: So one of the things that I'm very involved with
- 25:39Speaker 1: is I work with a lot of scientists when it
- 25:41Speaker 1: comes to doing research on my brain to figure out
- 25:44Speaker 1: what my brain looks like when I'm in normal talking
- 25:46Speaker 1: mode right now versus reading mode right But it's also
- 25:50Speaker 1: led me to research so many other topics, including past
- 25:53Speaker 1: lives and reincarnation. You know, it's it's interesting because I
- 25:57Speaker 1: think my worldview and my spiritual view it sounds so
- 26:02Speaker 1: magical and fairy tale, like, right, don't worry, You're loved
- 26:06Speaker 1: and protected by the other side. Anybody you love is
- 26:09Speaker 1: still with you and guiding you. You know, you come
- 26:12Speaker 1: back in the same soul groups, you will be reunited.
- 26:14Speaker 1: It sounds like a fairy tale and I get that,
- 26:17Speaker 1: but it doesn't mean it's not true. So if you
- 26:20Speaker 1: start looking at some of the research that's out there,
- 26:23Speaker 1: take a look at University of Virginia, take a look
- 26:26Speaker 1: at Jim Tucker, who's a research scientist there. What he
- 26:30Speaker 1: is researching about past life recalling children. Take a look
- 26:33Speaker 1: at what's coming out of uv A their their lab
- 26:36Speaker 1: in terms of psychic abilities and so forth. There's another
- 26:40Speaker 1: institute called the Rhyme which has been doing research since
- 26:43Speaker 1: the nineteen thirties. Was founded in nineteen thirties by J. B.
- 26:47Speaker 1: Rhyme and linked with Duke University. There's amazing research coming
- 26:50Speaker 1: out of that. Princeton had a lab. You know. The
- 26:53Speaker 1: problem is the researchers that are doing this really valid
- 26:57Speaker 1: research that's proving so much much about energy interconnection, past lives,
- 27:03Speaker 1: are souls, all of that. It's very dismissed by the
- 27:07Speaker 1: academic community. Because people are almost embarrassed to admit that
- 27:11Speaker 1: they're interested in it. They want to have conversations about it,
- 27:15Speaker 1: but not on paper, so to speak. But it's fascinating,
- 27:18Speaker 1: and I'm saying like, don't just believe me, go do
- 27:19Speaker 1: this research. It's really it's really very valid and very fascinating.
- 27:24Speaker 1: And how does this impact you with your kids? Can
- 27:27Speaker 1: I ask you, like when you know when your kids
- 27:29Speaker 1: bring around friend or boyfriend or something. I mean, you're
- 27:33Speaker 1: able to read energy pretty quickly. So if you do
- 27:36Speaker 1: get the bad vibe, how do you do you act
- 27:39Speaker 1: on that to you and share that or do you
- 27:41Speaker 1: just kind of okay? So it's kind of very a
- 27:46Speaker 1: lot like a loaded story with this, Like when when
- 27:48Speaker 1: they were a little I would used to like really
- 27:50Speaker 1: tune in and I'd know when they had tests or
- 27:51Speaker 1: what they got on their tests or when they were
- 27:54Speaker 1: lying and they got really you know, my my oldest
- 27:56Speaker 1: daughter who's now twenty two, she started getting really piste
- 27:59Speaker 1: off me around like age fourteen. She's like, mom, im
- 28:02Speaker 1: get out of my energy, Like she's so mad at me,
- 28:04Speaker 1: and she found a way to somewhat block me where
- 28:07Speaker 1: the other side would only give me like s os warnings.
- 28:10Speaker 1: If something was really going off the tracks, I'd be like, Okay,
- 28:12Speaker 1: I got this download for you. Let's talk about this,
- 28:15Speaker 1: but I will tell you right now. Doesn't even matter
- 28:17Speaker 1: that she had a psychic media mom and I'd be like,
- 28:19Speaker 1: here's what's gonna happen. This guy is not good. But
- 28:22Speaker 1: she just wanted to learn the hard way and did
- 28:24Speaker 1: it her way. And the thing is the other side
- 28:26Speaker 1: would show me what was coming for her too, so
- 28:29Speaker 1: you know, we'd all be prepared. We knew what was
- 28:32Speaker 1: about to happen. Did it make navigating those moments as
- 28:35Speaker 1: of family easier, I guess in the sense of understanding
- 28:39Speaker 1: that there are lessons and there's a plan and everybody
- 28:42Speaker 1: has free will and I needed to respect her boundaries
- 28:45Speaker 1: and her energy in that sense, right, So that was
- 28:47Speaker 1: very helpful. But does it make like the day to
- 28:50Speaker 1: day stuff easier when you're navigating difficult situations. No, But
- 28:54Speaker 1: in terms of reading like energy their friends constantly, you know,
- 28:57Speaker 1: I'll pick up, I'll do car pool and the person
- 28:59Speaker 1: will get and I'll give like, oh that person was
- 29:01Speaker 1: like all about their energy. And my kids are very
- 29:04Speaker 1: psychic too, so I think our dinner conversations are probably
- 29:07Speaker 1: not very normal, but they're normal to us. But yeah,
- 29:10Speaker 1: everybody has energy and you don't need to be a
- 29:12Speaker 1: psychic medium to tune into that. It's just most people
- 29:14Speaker 1: don't pay attention to it. But take like when you
- 29:17Speaker 1: meet somebody new, see if they just feel neutral, See
- 29:20Speaker 1: if you feel like really pulled to them like a magnet.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Or see if you have what I call an allergic reaction,
- 29:24Speaker 1: which is less about judgment but just more like not
- 29:27Speaker 1: my cup of teething. And then honor whatever you're feeling.
- 29:30Speaker 1: But yeah, the more you open energy and you start
- 29:33Speaker 1: sensing and feeling it, it's really a helpful tool to
- 29:36Speaker 1: help you navigate, you know, life in the world. And
- 29:39Speaker 1: when you say the other side, you're talking about like
- 29:42Speaker 1: your spirit guides. Yeah, so when I talk about the
- 29:45Speaker 1: other side, always see it like there's this three part
- 29:48Speaker 1: kind of team of light that each and every one
- 29:50Speaker 1: of us has, like every single person here, even putin,
- 29:53Speaker 1: even putin okay, yeah, yeah, even putin by the way
- 29:57Speaker 1: he fell down the stairs apparently the other day and
- 29:59Speaker 1: shadows pay So there's something to be excited about. Side
- 30:03Speaker 1: note continue, So we all have it right, whether or
- 30:05Speaker 1: not we're accessing and using it is a whole another thing.
- 30:08Speaker 1: So Putin's totally not accessing and using his team of light.
- 30:10Speaker 1: Let's just put it there. He's using a team of darkness.
- 30:13Speaker 1: We have got energy, right, which I see as this
- 30:15Speaker 1: force of just love and light that we're all part
- 30:18Speaker 1: of and we're all connected through. Right. We can call
- 30:20Speaker 1: upon those chords of connection and light at any time
- 30:23Speaker 1: for guidance and to like be led into our highest path.
- 30:27Speaker 1: And then here's the woo woo part. I get that
- 30:29Speaker 1: this sounds woo, But we all have what I call
- 30:31Speaker 1: spirit guides. So throughout time and history, different religions have
- 30:34Speaker 1: called them guardian angels and so forth. To me, they're
- 30:37Speaker 1: just like very advanced spiritual beings who are not here
- 30:40Speaker 1: in our physical life. We haven't known them, right, But
- 30:43Speaker 1: before our souls came to earth, we contracted with them
- 30:45Speaker 1: to be our teachers and our mentors and to guide us.
- 30:48Speaker 1: And some people are very aware of their guides, like
- 30:51Speaker 1: you'll talk to them be like, oh, here's what my
- 30:53Speaker 1: guides look like, and these are their names. And other
- 30:55Speaker 1: people just have this kind of sense of feeling protection
- 30:59Speaker 1: or energy or guidance or being nudged sometimes, and those
- 31:02Speaker 1: are your spirit GUIDs. Most people have between one and three,
- 31:05Speaker 1: but sometimes people have a crazy number or you know,
- 31:08Speaker 1: it's interesting, and then we The third part of our
- 31:10Speaker 1: team of light is anybody we love who's crossed, including pets. Right,
- 31:14Speaker 1: It's that loving, connecting energy. Those people will always be
- 31:19Speaker 1: rooting for us, will always be trying to also guide
- 31:22Speaker 1: us and help us on our highest path. They're there
- 31:24Speaker 1: for the joyful moments, They're there for our sad moments.
- 31:27Speaker 1: They're there for everything, you know, sometimes like silly little
- 31:31Speaker 1: things like minutia, things like picking out what carpet you
- 31:33Speaker 1: want or whatever that might be. But I feel like
- 31:36Speaker 1: opening to that and feeling that presence and that guidance
- 31:39Speaker 1: can completely transform lives, you know, because feeling that love
- 31:44Speaker 1: and that connection and understanding that each and every one
- 31:47Speaker 1: of us is more loved and more valued than we
- 31:52Speaker 1: can even imagine. Yeah, it's helpful to think of it
- 31:56Speaker 1: in that way rather than thinking of it as a god. Know,
- 32:00Speaker 1: it is the universe in and of itself, and the
- 32:03Speaker 1: people that are spirit guides, the people that have crossed over.
- 32:06Speaker 1: Like I always think of my mother and brother when
- 32:09Speaker 1: I'm in a tough spot or a happy spot, like
- 32:11Speaker 1: I'm always like, okay, but I I I have failed
- 32:14Speaker 1: to neglect that there it's not just those two. There's
- 32:16Speaker 1: other people around that are also part of it. And
- 32:19Speaker 1: I just look at it as like, oh, there's somebody
- 32:22Speaker 1: watching me, Like when I was I remember I was
- 32:24Speaker 1: dating the sky when I was like in my twenties,
- 32:26Speaker 1: and I said, I just always want to do the
- 32:28Speaker 1: right thing even when no one's looking, because I believe
- 32:30Speaker 1: someone is watching me. And He's like, but why not
- 32:33Speaker 1: just do the right thing even whether or not someone's
- 32:36Speaker 1: watching you or not. I'm like, because of somebody's watching,
- 32:38Speaker 1: and I want to make sure that I get credit
- 32:40Speaker 1: for doing the right thing as all points anyway, Katherine,
- 32:44Speaker 1: do you want to ask Laura questions, any questions about
- 32:46Speaker 1: yourself before we open it up to other people? Oh?
- 32:48Speaker 1: My good. I mean we should give you a little
- 32:50Speaker 1: bit energy. I know she's got the best energy. Ad
- 32:54Speaker 1: I'm so glad. I mean, honestly, everything you were saying,
- 32:56Speaker 1: I'm like, I felt like my career at least very
- 33:00Speaker 1: much changed around the same time that I consciously shifted
- 33:03Speaker 1: my energy to being like I'm gonna let go and
- 33:07Speaker 1: let good things happen. But also my grandmother died around
- 33:10Speaker 1: the same time, and I remember sort of having this
- 33:13Speaker 1: like mental conversation with her about like, Okay, I've been
- 33:17Speaker 1: throwing a lot of stuff at the wall and trying
- 33:19Speaker 1: to see what sticks, and nothing's sticking. Like anything you
- 33:22Speaker 1: can do up there, like help me get to the
- 33:24Speaker 1: next stage of my life career wise. And that was
- 33:27Speaker 1: when things started to shift, And especially during that time
- 33:30Speaker 1: that year, I just felt her presence so much, and
- 33:32Speaker 1: it was like I would talk to her, you know,
- 33:35Speaker 1: like she was just right there being like I got you.
- 33:37Speaker 1: But I think so I do have a question. So
- 33:41Speaker 1: we have a work opportunity and we're sort of in
- 33:45Speaker 1: a position where, you know, we're not sure if it's
- 33:47Speaker 1: a good fit or not. And I talked to my
- 33:49Speaker 1: therapist about it. She's like, I don't think there's a
- 33:51Speaker 1: wrong answer here. I think if it's a yes, it's
- 33:53Speaker 1: a good decision for you. I think if it's a no,
- 33:55Speaker 1: it's a good decision for you. But when you have
- 33:58Speaker 1: those opportunities that are really fifty fifty could be a yes,
- 34:02Speaker 1: could be a note, how do you make that decision?
- 34:05Speaker 1: This is such a great question. First let me just
- 34:07Speaker 1: touch base about the beautiful things you said about the
- 34:09Speaker 1: guidance from your grandmother, and it just reminded me to
- 34:13Speaker 1: share with people that it's so important for us to
- 34:15Speaker 1: ask for help. It's like there seems to be some
- 34:17Speaker 1: rule where if we invite them, they can help more. Right,
- 34:21Speaker 1: And we have this team alight at our disposal, like,
- 34:23Speaker 1: let's call upon that and use it. So I absolutely
- 34:27Speaker 1: feel your grandmother was helping so much with all of that. Now,
- 34:31Speaker 1: have you asked your grandmother for a sign or for
- 34:34Speaker 1: guidance on what your highest path is to go with
- 34:37Speaker 1: this person or not? That is that's actually really interesting
- 34:41Speaker 1: that you use that specific language because my dad and
- 34:44Speaker 1: I I'm going to get choked up. My dad and
- 34:46Speaker 1: I have been talking a lot about and this is
- 34:48Speaker 1: my dad's mother. We've been talking a lot about what's
- 34:51Speaker 1: your highest and best use, and so that's something that's
- 34:55Speaker 1: been very very in my mind lately. So when you
- 34:58Speaker 1: just said that's like, what's what's the purpose? What's the
- 35:00Speaker 1: highest in best use that hits the nail on the head.
- 35:03Speaker 1: But you know, I'm not sure if this fits into
- 35:07Speaker 1: my highest and best use. I think it could be
- 35:10Speaker 1: a fun job. I think it could be a good job,
- 35:12Speaker 1: but also I don't know if it fits exactly in
- 35:16Speaker 1: that niche of like, this is my highest and best use.
- 35:19Speaker 1: So this is what I'm gonna say. I'm I'm going
- 35:21Speaker 1: to tune in. I'm going to share information with you.
- 35:23Speaker 1: But what I love for people to do is to
- 35:25Speaker 1: know that they never ever ever need a psychic medium.
- 35:27Speaker 1: I'm there for reassurance and I'm there's to step in
- 35:30Speaker 1: and be like, look, this is there for you already, right,
- 35:32Speaker 1: but to tune into it yourself and understand that because
- 35:35Speaker 1: I think even things that feel fifty fifty, it's not
- 35:39Speaker 1: fifty fifty, it's nine. And you just have to get really,
- 35:42Speaker 1: really quiet within yourself, and then you have to split
- 35:45Speaker 1: it into two different categories. Logically, what your little monkey
- 35:49Speaker 1: mind would say is the highest or best path versus
- 35:52Speaker 1: intuitively what your soul is whispering. And sometimes you have
- 35:55Speaker 1: to get really quiet to hear that. Okay. So that said,
- 35:59Speaker 1: when I'm feeling for you is that this opportunity is
- 36:02Speaker 1: showing up for an absolute reason because it's making you
- 36:05Speaker 1: test your own kind of sense of yourself and where
- 36:08Speaker 1: you want to steer the ship of your spiritual journey
- 36:12Speaker 1: right now. I don't think it would be a bad thing.
- 36:14Speaker 1: It's interesting because I keep feeling like there's almost a
- 36:17Speaker 1: little soul test about boundaries for you and establishing what
- 36:22Speaker 1: you want. So I'm going to say, if you say
- 36:25Speaker 1: yes to this, be prepared to have your boundaries tested
- 36:28Speaker 1: and you're gonna have to say three times no, no, no,
- 36:32Speaker 1: or this is what I want, that's what I want,
- 36:34Speaker 1: that's what I want, because it's going to keep hitting you.
- 36:36Speaker 1: So you're learning this. Really you're mastering a soul challenge
- 36:39Speaker 1: there right or you could be like not in the
- 36:41Speaker 1: mood for that test right now. Circle back to me
- 36:43Speaker 1: in two or three years, because whatever tests are there
- 36:46Speaker 1: for you, whatever growth is there for you, it's not
- 36:48Speaker 1: going to disappear. You know, our our team will. I
- 36:51Speaker 1: will be like, Okay, hey, no problem, We'll circle back
- 36:53Speaker 1: to you with that. And I've done that before in
- 36:55Speaker 1: my life. I've been like, I'm not ready for that,
- 36:57Speaker 1: come back in a year or two, and it will.
- 36:59Speaker 1: So it's really up to you. I also feel like
- 37:01Speaker 1: there's a whole another almost like emotional personal like family
- 37:06Speaker 1: focus going on as well, So it's like your team
- 37:09Speaker 1: of light going which one do you want to explore
- 37:12Speaker 1: right now? What would you take your beautiful light energy
- 37:14Speaker 1: and spend it on. Do you want to master this
- 37:17Speaker 1: test or do you want to devote your time and
- 37:19Speaker 1: your light energy to this right now? And in that sense,
- 37:22Speaker 1: there's not a right or wrong answer, because it's your
- 37:24Speaker 1: free will choice. You have to get quiet within yourself
- 37:28Speaker 1: and decide which one's pulling at you a little harder
- 37:31Speaker 1: that I have a question if she is say she
- 37:35Speaker 1: does take on this opportunity and that that this opportunity
- 37:38Speaker 1: presents the opportunity to set boundaries and say no, no, no,
- 37:42Speaker 1: is that a necessary exercise that she that she has
- 37:45Speaker 1: to go through. Isn't that something that might just cause
- 37:48Speaker 1: more problems and maybe k chaos as an overstatement, but
- 37:51Speaker 1: like I will say, the language that you use that
- 37:54Speaker 1: you're just repeated as literally the exact conversations we've been
- 37:57Speaker 1: having of like this would be a good opper tunity
- 38:00Speaker 1: for me to like exercise those skills and like build
- 38:03Speaker 1: those muscles and sort of be working in this in
- 38:06Speaker 1: the space of like some personal things that I've learned.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Boundaries is a big one, but just like these things
- 38:13Speaker 1: that I've been working on so much in therapy, were like,
- 38:16Speaker 1: I feel like I've been able to say like, Okay,
- 38:18Speaker 1: here's where my energy starts and stops and whatever somebody
- 38:20Speaker 1: else is feeling or thinking if I haven't done something
- 38:23Speaker 1: terrible to them, obviously that's their stuff, you know, And
- 38:27Speaker 1: so it truly it was like, the big question is
- 38:30Speaker 1: this could be an opportunity for me to strengthen those muscles.
- 38:33Speaker 1: So literally exactly what you said, I'm like, that's the
- 38:35Speaker 1: conversation we had yesterday, very specifically for what it's worth.
- 38:40Speaker 1: I think you'd rock it. I think you'd pass it
- 38:42Speaker 1: with flying color. It's just gonna be a little annoying
- 38:43Speaker 1: for a while, you know, like you I'm gonna three
- 38:46Speaker 1: times like and then okay, that lessons done. Now it's
- 38:49Speaker 1: it's learned, you know. But it's kind of like if
- 38:52Speaker 1: if I was like, Hey, I'm gonna I really want
- 38:54Speaker 1: to trage to run a five k, and then I'm like,
- 38:55Speaker 1: do I want to do it now? Or they just
- 38:56Speaker 1: want to sit on the couch for another year? You know.
- 38:58Speaker 1: It's kind of like it's gonna wait for you that lesson,
- 39:01Speaker 1: and I don't feel like it's going to be very challenging.
- 39:03Speaker 1: For you. I actually feel like you're gonna feel really
- 39:05Speaker 1: empowered as you own your own light energy. Because let's
- 39:09Speaker 1: get down to it, the relationship we have with ourself
- 39:12Speaker 1: is the most important one we ever have. Right, So
- 39:14Speaker 1: it's about honoring your light by respecting your boundaries, by
- 39:18Speaker 1: using your voice, by spending your energy and beautiful ways
- 39:22Speaker 1: that honor your highest path. Right. So that's feeling right
- 39:26Speaker 1: for you, and you want to take that challenge on now?
- 39:28Speaker 1: You will. You'll rock it, You'll ace it, no worries.
- 39:31Speaker 1: So I'll just tell you now, like short, long and
- 39:33Speaker 1: short of, it's a win win either way. An excellent. Well,
- 39:39Speaker 1: on that note, should we take a little break and
- 39:40Speaker 1: get to some collars. Okay, we're gonna take a quick
- 39:43Speaker 1: break and we'll be right back. And we're back. We're back,
- 39:51Speaker 1: We're back, and this this episode comes to you from Robodescent. Well,
- 39:56Speaker 1: our first question comes from Chloe. She says, you're Chelsea.
- 40:01Speaker 1: It's starting to feel like I'm financially cursed with unemployment.
- 40:04Speaker 1: I've applied to well over a hundred and fifty jobs
- 40:07Speaker 1: and have only gotten one. Unfortunately, the job I scored
- 40:10Speaker 1: is a part time freelance gig that doesn't pay well.
- 40:13Speaker 1: I have a decent resume, or so I thought. I've
- 40:15Speaker 1: done college internships, volunteering, the works. Why won't anyone hire me?
- 40:20Speaker 1: Do I suck that bad? Am? I delusional? What the
- 40:23Speaker 1: hell is wrong here? I need an honest opinion. Background.
- 40:27Speaker 1: I'm a thirty year old chick living in l A County.
- 40:29Speaker 1: I have a car, a computer, and a website with
- 40:31Speaker 1: my work. I have a b a in psychology and
- 40:33Speaker 1: studio art and an m f a in creative writing.
- 40:36Speaker 1: Graphic design is my passion. Jobs I've been applying to
- 40:39Speaker 1: include graphic design, copyrighting, copy editing, and editorial. I'm a
- 40:43Speaker 1: phenomenal employee and I love to work. Sincerely, Chloe. Okay,
- 40:49Speaker 1: Hi Chloe. Hi, Sorry, I'm in my car. Hi. This
- 40:53Speaker 1: is our special guest today, Laura Lynn Jackson. Hi, Hi Chloe.
- 40:57Speaker 1: How are you? I'm good. I just zoomed out on
- 41:00Speaker 1: my stupid minimum wage job for lunch to do this,
- 41:03Speaker 1: so I'm really excited to see you guys. Oh my god. Okay,
- 41:06Speaker 1: so tell us about you. What's your problem? You can't
- 41:08Speaker 1: find a job that you like or you can't get hired.
- 41:11Speaker 1: I cannot get hired, and I don't know. I just
- 41:14Speaker 1: don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have a portfolio
- 41:18Speaker 1: of all copyrighting stuff and graphic design. I've gone to
- 41:22Speaker 1: grad school, I've I went to internships, I volunteered. I
- 41:27Speaker 1: feel like on paper, I've checked like every box. But
- 41:31Speaker 1: for some weird reason, I just cannot catch a break.
- 41:35Speaker 1: I've applied to way more than a hundred jobs, like
- 41:39Speaker 1: way more. I don't know what I'm doing. And do
- 41:42Speaker 1: you think it's something that's happening during the interview process.
- 41:46Speaker 1: Maybe I do have bad anxiety, but I've I've been
- 41:50Speaker 1: prescribed to anxiety meds, so I feel like that's not
- 41:53Speaker 1: a good excuse. But that has been a problem before
- 41:56Speaker 1: in the past. Yeah, well, maybe that is part of
- 41:59Speaker 1: the problem. I'm sure it's not the whole problem. I mean,
- 42:01Speaker 1: we're in a very difficult time in this country right now.
- 42:04Speaker 1: Even though everybody needs a job, nobody wants to work.
- 42:07Speaker 1: So there's like this weird crossover of people who are
- 42:10Speaker 1: trying to work and people are actively trying to never
- 42:13Speaker 1: work again. Services all is just such a hot mess
- 42:16Speaker 1: right now. So I mean, I think that probably permeates
- 42:19Speaker 1: in all aspects of society. But Laura can you take
- 42:22Speaker 1: a look at her energy and tell us what you see.
- 42:24Speaker 1: Laura's a psychic medium. Oh my gosh. So yeah, yeah,
- 42:28Speaker 1: so she's I've known her for years. She is the
- 42:31Speaker 1: real deal. So I'm gonna have her help you take
- 42:34Speaker 1: a look at yourself and see what she sees. Is
- 42:36Speaker 1: that okay, clothe to have permission to kind of dive
- 42:38Speaker 1: into your energy a little bit. Yes, absolutely, I mean
- 42:42Speaker 1: I'm kind of shifting right now, so my aura maybe
- 42:44Speaker 1: a little know. You have no no, no, you have
- 42:48Speaker 1: a your core or is blue, which means you're here
- 42:50Speaker 1: really is a teacher and a healer energy for others.
- 42:52Speaker 1: There such kindness in your heart. Yeah, So the first
- 42:55Speaker 1: thing I want to talk to about is harnessing your energy,
- 42:58Speaker 1: your light energy, and creating a blueprint for what your
- 43:02Speaker 1: highest dream is in terms of a career. What I'm
- 43:04Speaker 1: feeling for you energetically, it's like if we had all
- 43:07Speaker 1: this energy and we just started giving it out to
- 43:09Speaker 1: everybody right a little bit here and there. You're spending
- 43:11Speaker 1: your energy, but you're not directing it. So have you
- 43:14Speaker 1: ever sat down with pen and paper or you could
- 43:17Speaker 1: do this like on the computer or your phone and
- 43:19Speaker 1: written out your dream job, what you would want, where
- 43:22Speaker 1: it would be, what your job duties would be, what
- 43:25Speaker 1: it would be doing for you energetically, what your salary
- 43:28Speaker 1: would be. Have you done that yet? No? I haven't,
- 43:31Speaker 1: but that sounds really fun. Okay, So what's going on
- 43:34Speaker 1: with your energy is you're just scattering it. You're not
- 43:36Speaker 1: valuing your own worth. You're saying, oh my gosh, I'm
- 43:38Speaker 1: coming from this place of fear and desperation, Give me anything,
- 43:42Speaker 1: does anything totally And you don't need to do that.
- 43:45Speaker 1: You don't need to do that. You need to decide
- 43:48Speaker 1: for yourself what your vision is for your path going forward.
- 43:53Speaker 1: If anything you know no holds barred, you could achieve
- 43:56Speaker 1: anything you want and get whatever job you wanted right now?
- 44:00Speaker 1: What would that be? Can you just describe it to
- 44:02Speaker 1: me a little, like what energy would you want to
- 44:04Speaker 1: be feeling when you worked, what would your job duties be?
- 44:07Speaker 1: How close would you want it to be? And you
- 44:10Speaker 1: don't have to say it out that, but like, what
- 44:11Speaker 1: salary would you want? What benefits would you want? These
- 44:14Speaker 1: are all things you need to focus on. So what
- 44:17Speaker 1: do you feel like your light gifts are? Like? What
- 44:19Speaker 1: would you want to explore in your career that you're doing,
- 44:22Speaker 1: if you could do anything you wanted, well, in a
- 44:25Speaker 1: weird way, I already have my dream job, but it
- 44:29Speaker 1: just doesn't pay. Um My, my totally like ultimate dream
- 44:34Speaker 1: would be to be a fashion editor for a magazine,
- 44:37Speaker 1: and I do that with this little magazine. It's called
- 44:40Speaker 1: Mared magazine like ship in French, and it's kind of satirical,
- 44:47Speaker 1: but we try to uplift marginalized designers and showcase small
- 44:51Speaker 1: voices like that in the fashion industry. So that really
- 44:55Speaker 1: is my dream editing stuff, art directing, doing a little
- 44:58Speaker 1: graphic design, your little writing. But it's just such a
- 45:03Speaker 1: small thing. There's really no budget, so I just worked
- 45:06Speaker 1: there for free, like for passion. But if that could
- 45:09Speaker 1: pay my bills, that really would be my dream job.
- 45:13Speaker 1: Editor at a magazine. That's really really wonderful, And I
- 45:16Speaker 1: think knowing that about yourself is key and what you
- 45:18Speaker 1: can kind of program to the universe is like, this
- 45:21Speaker 1: is my goal, this is what I want. The thing
- 45:23Speaker 1: is money is really about energy, right, and so working
- 45:28Speaker 1: for free because you're passionate about it, I get that too.
- 45:31Speaker 1: That's like volunteering your energy. But I would say you
- 45:33Speaker 1: need to have a conversation where with the universe, where
- 45:36Speaker 1: you now say I love doing this, but now I
- 45:38Speaker 1: need this to be able to bring money in for
- 45:41Speaker 1: me to continue it. Right, I would leave that running
- 45:45Speaker 1: in the background, and I would almost say, like, what
- 45:47Speaker 1: else would there be that would allow you to have
- 45:50Speaker 1: enough time and energy to do your passion project? Allow
- 45:53Speaker 1: that to kind of build into something greater. Co collaborate
- 45:57Speaker 1: with the universe by saying, like, lead me to where
- 45:59Speaker 1: I'm supposed to go so that I can continue to
- 46:01Speaker 1: do what I'm passionate about. But in the meantime, show
- 46:04Speaker 1: me where I'm supposed to be to bring the finances
- 46:07Speaker 1: and to bring the money in. Because I think to
- 46:09Speaker 1: one of the things when we're not working, right, when
- 46:12Speaker 1: we were out of work or we can't find a job,
- 46:14Speaker 1: what I tap into is that feeling of where is
- 46:17Speaker 1: my worth? Feeling kind of desperate and a little bit hopeless.
- 46:22Speaker 1: Now that energy stream is going to lead you down
- 46:25Speaker 1: the drain. Right, we have to embrace that we are worthy,
- 46:28Speaker 1: we are light filled, and we have purpose. We have
- 46:31Speaker 1: to honor our passions, we have to trust in our path. Right,
- 46:35Speaker 1: But it's also having a conversation with the universe saying, Okay,
- 46:38Speaker 1: bring something to me for right now to help me
- 46:40Speaker 1: get through this and kind of rebuild my light energy.
- 46:43Speaker 1: So the number one homework assignment for you is to
- 46:45Speaker 1: sit down and to write out I would have two columns.
- 46:48Speaker 1: One is about what you're passionate about with fashion and
- 46:51Speaker 1: everything you want to do with that and how you'd
- 46:53Speaker 1: like that to evolve. And the other is the right now,
- 46:55Speaker 1: what right now job could you get to that you'd
- 46:57Speaker 1: bring bringing in money, you can still do what you're
- 47:00Speaker 1: passionate about and allow that to unfold over time and
- 47:03Speaker 1: be built into a career. Right, what would the parameters
- 47:06Speaker 1: be and what would you want to do? Because then
- 47:08Speaker 1: you're directing your energy in a very clear way, and
- 47:11Speaker 1: I want you to embrace that as if it's already happened.
- 47:14Speaker 1: You've already gotten the job. You're already going to be
- 47:16Speaker 1: making the money because the energy you bring to it.
- 47:18Speaker 1: And especially when we get into manifesting, which is really
- 47:21Speaker 1: just directing energy and thoughts and co collaborating with the universe,
- 47:25Speaker 1: you have to feel it. You can't be in a
- 47:27Speaker 1: state of wishing or hoping or waiting, right you have
- 47:30Speaker 1: to be like this is going to happen for me
- 47:32Speaker 1: and I'm so excited about it. So getting into that
- 47:34Speaker 1: joyful space personally for you, I see a seven months
- 47:38Speaker 1: journey going on. But I think in about three months
- 47:40Speaker 1: you're going to something good. It's going to come in,
- 47:42Speaker 1: Like there's gonna be a job that comes in, and
- 47:45Speaker 1: I think you take that, and I think then from
- 47:48Speaker 1: months three to seven, So we're in three months from now,
- 47:51Speaker 1: we're in December Chin, so like March and then July
- 47:55Speaker 1: will be important for you in terms of getting something
- 47:58Speaker 1: and then like the universe almost offering you something else.
- 48:01Speaker 1: You're asking you another question at the seven month mark.
- 48:03Speaker 1: So this is coming for you no matter what it's like.
- 48:05Speaker 1: If you were waiting for a plane to arrive and
- 48:07Speaker 1: you're in the waiting room, are you going to stress
- 48:09Speaker 1: and be anxious the whole time and pace back and forth?
- 48:11Speaker 1: Are you going to go find like a really good
- 48:13Speaker 1: book or do something creative and fill that space in
- 48:16Speaker 1: another way? So I think what I'm trying to say
- 48:18Speaker 1: to you is for the next three months, this will happen.
- 48:20Speaker 1: Build that confidence like trust in the universe, own your light,
- 48:25Speaker 1: celebrate yourself, do things daily that you say to yourself
- 48:29Speaker 1: I'm really proud of who I am in the world,
- 48:30Speaker 1: and I really really honor like the gifts I came
- 48:33Speaker 1: here with in my light, and I'm so excited for
- 48:35Speaker 1: the universe to guide me in my my highest path
- 48:39Speaker 1: into whatever job I'm meant to be doing. And really
- 48:41Speaker 1: feel that, and repeat that to yourself, because you are
- 48:44Speaker 1: so worthy and you're such a gift to this world.
- 48:47Speaker 1: Each one of us comes program with our own like
- 48:49Speaker 1: incredible light and gifts and talents. Right is trusting in
- 48:53Speaker 1: that and knowing knowing that about yourself? Okay, thank you?
- 48:56Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, just shifting that in my mind thinking
- 49:00Speaker 1: it's already coming, and just focus on not being such
- 49:04Speaker 1: a tightly wound ball of desperation. I know I've heard
- 49:08Speaker 1: people say a rejection can be a redirection, but I
- 49:12Speaker 1: got so many rejections that it kind of had me spinning, like, yes, okay,
- 49:17Speaker 1: I got rejected for graphic design, maybe I'll pivot to copyrighting.
- 49:21Speaker 1: And then it just kind of got me in this
- 49:22Speaker 1: identity crisis. And so what you're telling me to do
- 49:26Speaker 1: is returned to myself, stop spinning my wheels and like
- 49:30Speaker 1: being in this chaotic state and focus on what I
- 49:33Speaker 1: really want instead of what I can be given or
- 49:37Speaker 1: something a percent. And I love what you said about
- 49:39Speaker 1: rejection because that in and of itself is a soul
- 49:42Speaker 1: test you've been faced with and you've been challenged with.
- 49:44Speaker 1: So to get through rejection without feeling destroyed by it
- 49:48Speaker 1: or less than because of it, to realize, Wow, maybe
- 49:51Speaker 1: this is redirection or trusting what you said before, Chelsea,
- 49:55Speaker 1: that whatever is meant for you is going to find
- 49:58Speaker 1: you right and trusting at the universe is going to
- 50:01Speaker 1: dream bigger for you. That you might have the small,
- 50:03Speaker 1: kind of myopic view of what you think you want,
- 50:05Speaker 1: but rejection is redirecting you into something greater, you know.
- 50:09Speaker 1: So I love that you brought that up, and also
- 50:11Speaker 1: to remember the excuse my voice, but to remember that
- 50:14Speaker 1: the test of being rejected, if you react to it
- 50:17Speaker 1: the same way each time, then it's going to come
- 50:20Speaker 1: around again until you have a different reaction. So once
- 50:25Speaker 1: you have the different reaction to being rejected and you
- 50:28Speaker 1: do surrender it because you're bigger, trust is in the
- 50:31Speaker 1: universe and what it has in store for you. I
- 50:33Speaker 1: believe the sooner that those things will come to you,
- 50:36Speaker 1: and then you can stop learning the lesson of rejection
- 50:39Speaker 1: because you've you've nailed it, you know what I mean.
- 50:42Speaker 1: So don't let that bring you down. Every rejection is
- 50:44Speaker 1: bringing you closer to the acceptance that you're looking for.
- 50:47Speaker 1: And I can vouch for all of this. When I
- 50:50Speaker 1: made the switch to podcasting, I had been doing podcasting
- 50:54Speaker 1: on my own like you for free, like my passion projects,
- 50:58Speaker 1: and I had been in putting out resume after resume
- 51:02Speaker 1: in the marketing space because that's what I came up doing,
- 51:05Speaker 1: and I couldn't even get a call back. Like nothing
- 51:08Speaker 1: I did, all the like keywords in your resume and
- 51:10Speaker 1: all these different things that did everything right, could not
- 51:13Speaker 1: get a call back. The second I was like, well,
- 51:15Speaker 1: fuck this, that's not what I want to work in anyway.
- 51:17Speaker 1: I want to work in podcasting. And I put out
- 51:20Speaker 1: a podcasting resume. Within two weeks I got a call
- 51:24Speaker 1: for like my first paid job in podcasting, and it
- 51:28Speaker 1: was awesome. So this, yeah, and just by looking at you,
- 51:34Speaker 1: I'm not a psychic or a medium, but I can
- 51:36Speaker 1: tell how wonderful and loving and you have light all
- 51:39Speaker 1: around you. So just remember that, Okay, remember that you yes,
- 51:46Speaker 1: and Chloe, would you be okay if we share your
- 51:48Speaker 1: website on the show. Oh my gosh, yes please. Okay,
- 51:52Speaker 1: her website is in the show notes, so take a
- 51:54Speaker 1: look at the description. And she's great. Hire her great, awesome,
- 51:59Speaker 1: Thank you so much. This is amazing. All three of
- 52:02Speaker 1: you are amazing. Thank you you all four of us. Girl,
- 52:08Speaker 1: thank you so much. Let us know what happens in
- 52:11Speaker 1: March and July. Okay, I definitely will chuck back. Okay, bye,
- 52:18Speaker 1: she's great. I know, I was like, we gotta have
- 52:20Speaker 1: her on. That's amazing. With Laura specifically, I know, how
- 52:24Speaker 1: would I have answered that question? If Laura you are amazing?
- 52:27Speaker 1: That was like the most masterful answer, Like, that's exactly right.
- 52:30Speaker 1: It's about like once you master that lesson of getting rejected,
- 52:34Speaker 1: that's when it frees off the rejection. You're so smart
- 52:37Speaker 1: with that. The rejection, Well, I learned it from you.
- 52:39Speaker 1: The rejection lesson is the biggest lesson that people have
- 52:42Speaker 1: the hardest time learning because it is such a childlike
- 52:46Speaker 1: feeling rejection, right, it's just never grows up, and it's
- 52:51Speaker 1: so easy to internalize it. You're like, well, this means
- 52:53Speaker 1: something's wrong with me, and it's like not at all.
- 52:56Speaker 1: Maybe you just need to change direction, or when people say, oh,
- 52:58Speaker 1: don't take it personally, it's fuck you personal. Well. Our
- 53:08Speaker 1: next question comes from Corey. He is twenty nine, and
- 53:14Speaker 1: he says, Dear Chelsea, I would love some advice on
- 53:17Speaker 1: this guy I'm dating. We've been seeing each other for
- 53:20Speaker 1: about a month. We've spent lots of time together. He's
- 53:22Speaker 1: met a few of my friends, and we both feel
- 53:24Speaker 1: like this has the potential to be serious. Here's the
- 53:27Speaker 1: hurdle I'm facing. He moved to the US several months
- 53:30Speaker 1: ago and is working on getting citizenship. The paths available
- 53:33Speaker 1: to him will either force his visa to expire or
- 53:36Speaker 1: require him to go to his home country and reapply.
- 53:39Speaker 1: The problem is he's from Kenya, He's gay, and homosexuality
- 53:42Speaker 1: is criminalized there, so that's not a safe option. I've
- 53:46Speaker 1: been helping research and provide resources, even connecting him with
- 53:49Speaker 1: a friend with a company in his line of work
- 53:51Speaker 1: that might sponsor him. But the only option that can
- 53:54Speaker 1: provide him help in a timely manner is marriage. He
- 53:57Speaker 1: brought it up as an option, but was adam that
- 54:00Speaker 1: me saying no does not affect us dating. He can
- 54:03Speaker 1: find another way if necessary, and wants to pursue whatever
- 54:05Speaker 1: we end up being. The thing is, I'm considering doing it.
- 54:09Speaker 1: I'm not precious about marriage. Worst case, we can divorce
- 54:12Speaker 1: within a couple of years and it won't affect his immigration,
- 54:15Speaker 1: and I can get some additional financial security in the
- 54:17Speaker 1: form of a dowry, which is common in his culture.
- 54:20Speaker 1: Best case, we stayed together for a long time. I
- 54:23Speaker 1: really care about this guy, and he seems to feel
- 54:25Speaker 1: the same way. I feel pretty grounded as I'm considering
- 54:28Speaker 1: this option, but there's still that fear that maybe I've
- 54:31Speaker 1: got some rose colored classes on what advice do you
- 54:34Speaker 1: have for the swacky scenario? I'd love to hear some
- 54:36Speaker 1: new perspectives. Thanks, Corey, Hi, Corey, Hi, Chelsea, Hi, Katherine,
- 54:43Speaker 1: and Laura Lynn Jackson here, who's the psychic medium. She's
- 54:46Speaker 1: here today as our special guest. Hi, Lauren's awesome to
- 54:49Speaker 1: meet you. Okay, so you've been you've been dating a
- 54:54Speaker 1: Kenyan guy for one month? Yeah, a little over a
- 54:57Speaker 1: month at this point. Huh. And if you were to
- 54:59Speaker 1: get me married to him, and it's great that you're
- 55:01Speaker 1: not precious about getting married. I am also not like
- 55:03Speaker 1: if I could do somebody a favor, I would I
- 55:05Speaker 1: would be more likely to do it if we weren't
- 55:07Speaker 1: romantically involved than if we were, because that way it's
- 55:11Speaker 1: understood in the beginning. And the only concern I would
- 55:14Speaker 1: have for you is I don't want you to get,
- 55:16Speaker 1: you know, duped into something or have expectations of a
- 55:19Speaker 1: relationship that may not work out, and you know, may
- 55:23Speaker 1: And I think if you go into it for the
- 55:24Speaker 1: right reasons, knowing that this could go either way and
- 55:28Speaker 1: that you're just basically trying to help somebody, but I
- 55:30Speaker 1: think there also has to be a real like groundwork
- 55:33Speaker 1: of laying the foundation for the parameters of that relationship
- 55:36Speaker 1: before you enter into it, right. Yeah, And we've talked
- 55:39Speaker 1: about that a little bit because when it was first
- 55:42Speaker 1: brought up, like, he hasn't pressured me at all, which
- 55:44Speaker 1: I appreciate, And it was very much like, if we
- 55:47Speaker 1: don't do it, we're still going to date. It's not
- 55:48Speaker 1: gonna affect anything. But I was asking questions, like what
- 55:52Speaker 1: happens then if we move in together, which we probably would,
- 55:56Speaker 1: and like what that would look like any serves specific boundaries,
- 55:59Speaker 1: and we kind of just thought about just dating as
- 56:02Speaker 1: if we're new boyfriends instead of pretending we're doing this
- 56:06Speaker 1: whole marriage thing, like be married in paperwork, but then
- 56:09Speaker 1: kind of everything else just be like a relationship. Okay, well,
- 56:12Speaker 1: I'm going to have Laura take a look at you
- 56:14Speaker 1: and see what she sees about this situation. Okay, A
- 56:18Speaker 1: couple of things. First of all, I keep seeing him
- 56:20Speaker 1: go back and then return to the US and three months.
- 56:23Speaker 1: So even though you're saying, oh, hey, this is the
- 56:26Speaker 1: only path and this is that's not what I'm seeing.
- 56:28Speaker 1: So what kind of scenario would it be where he
- 56:30Speaker 1: would go back and then return within a three month
- 56:33Speaker 1: period but be here for a long time after that. Yeah,
- 56:36Speaker 1: it's certainly not the only path. We've talked about. A
- 56:39Speaker 1: couple of things. The biggest issue with him going back
- 56:41Speaker 1: to Kenya is that they're being gay is illegal, any
- 56:44Speaker 1: risks potentially being thrown in jail. But a big thing too,
- 56:49Speaker 1: is just any other path forward, like if you get
- 56:51Speaker 1: sponsored for citizenship or even applies for asylum. It takes
- 56:56Speaker 1: years to get to the point where he's legally able
- 56:58Speaker 1: to work or gets AiZ in ship. And that's kind
- 57:01Speaker 1: of why the marriage is potentially an option, just because
- 57:05Speaker 1: everything else takes so long. So is there any scenario
- 57:08Speaker 1: where he would go back, reapply for a visa, and
- 57:10Speaker 1: be back here in three months. I don't know why
- 57:12Speaker 1: I keep seeing this, um it's a possibility. I don't
- 57:14Speaker 1: know if it would be three months. His current visa
- 57:18Speaker 1: expires in February. That's about three months, But I don't
- 57:22Speaker 1: know how long if you went back to Kenya and reapplied,
- 57:24Speaker 1: I have no idea how long that would take. If
- 57:26Speaker 1: his visa expires in three months, then what happens. He
- 57:29Speaker 1: doesn't have to go back to Kenya to re establish it.
- 57:32Speaker 1: He could do that from me or it depends. So
- 57:34Speaker 1: once his visa expires, if he doesn't have an approved
- 57:38Speaker 1: sponsorship through employment or or any other way, or like
- 57:41Speaker 1: if you did asylum, the processing times for those take
- 57:45Speaker 1: longer than three months, so he would end up being
- 57:47Speaker 1: in here in the country illegally. Basically nice, Okay, It's
- 57:53Speaker 1: interesting because I feel like you're there are two different
- 57:55Speaker 1: paths we're looking at here. One is like the logical,
- 57:58Speaker 1: practical path, and then the other is a spiritual emotional path. Right,
- 58:02Speaker 1: So when I look at his energy too, he feels
- 58:04Speaker 1: like he feels very gentle, like he has a very
- 58:06Speaker 1: open heart. I feel like this scenario could sound shady
- 58:10Speaker 1: if you will, but when I look at his energy,
- 58:12Speaker 1: I don't feel like he's shady. I'm going to say that.
- 58:14Speaker 1: I feel like he's just very loving. That said, you know,
- 58:18Speaker 1: even if you were to get married on paper, that's
- 58:21Speaker 1: that's like a logical paper type of thing. The spiritual
- 58:25Speaker 1: and emotional journey for you too, it's gonna make it
- 58:27Speaker 1: more challenging. I'm just gonna be honest in that sense,
- 58:29Speaker 1: because it's like putting the cart before the horse. But
- 58:32Speaker 1: it would make a really great movie, you know, like
- 58:34Speaker 1: these two people get married and then we see what happens,
- 58:37Speaker 1: and then like the real romance happens and all that.
- 58:39Speaker 1: But that said, I keep getting the sense that the
- 58:43Speaker 1: way this is being presented, and I do not know
- 58:45Speaker 1: much about immigration law and visas and how this works,
- 58:48Speaker 1: so I'm just going on my downloads. What you keep saying.
- 58:51Speaker 1: I feel like there's a third option, Like we're creating
- 58:54Speaker 1: a false scenario, like it's either this or that, Like,
- 58:57Speaker 1: but there's there's a middle ground where it's like you
- 58:59Speaker 1: don't have to get married. I don't know if it's
- 59:02Speaker 1: that you get engaged and he comes back or what
- 59:05Speaker 1: that is, but I feel like it doesn't have to
- 59:06Speaker 1: be that extreme, so to speak. If you wanted to
- 59:10Speaker 1: do because of logical reasons for him get married, what
- 59:14Speaker 1: I would say to you is, I see a lot
- 59:15Speaker 1: of other background paperwork that you need to do to
- 59:18Speaker 1: inform yourself for the legalities of that. For what that
- 59:21Speaker 1: would mean about, I don't know, like if you have
- 59:24Speaker 1: like a work environment and your your salary, your benefits,
- 59:29Speaker 1: like there's a whole lot more involved, is what I'm seeing.
- 59:32Speaker 1: But I really feel like there's this third path where
- 59:35Speaker 1: it's like he goes there and comes back, but we
- 59:37Speaker 1: haven't forced a marriage quite yet. You know. I do
- 59:40Speaker 1: like your energy together, but I think that there's like
- 59:42Speaker 1: an eight month path ahead of the two of you
- 59:45Speaker 1: where you won't really have a sense of each other
- 59:47Speaker 1: or really understand like is this what I want for myself?
- 59:50Speaker 1: And or can we work around these little obstacles for
- 59:52Speaker 1: eight months? So it's going to take another eight months
- 59:55Speaker 1: for you to look at each other and be like, Okay,
- 59:57Speaker 1: now we have to either sign this spiritual agreement going
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: to be together, or we've learned enough and we want
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: to stay friends or go our separate ways. So if
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: you get married now, right eight months from now, you're
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: still going to have that same scenario, and you just
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: need to be energetically, emotionally, spiritually prepared for that. Yeah,
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: that makes sense because I've I've researched all the stuff,
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: all the different paths to legality, and the biggest issue
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: is just the fact that everything takes so much time,
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: and he could go back. That is a possibility, but
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: I'm not entirely clear on how that would all work either,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: and have to research that more. Yeah, I do think
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: there's a third path, and it's like less intense than marriage,
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: but it is. It is maybe like a connection with
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: you or maybe an engagement or something like that. Did
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: you guys just meet totally like on your own, like
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: nobody introduced you. Yeah, we met on a dating we
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: started dating, and like he's met a couple of my
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: friends and they all really like him. He's even told,
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: you know, a couple of my friends how much he
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: likes me. So like, I don't feel like like what
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: you said, I don't think it's shady at all. It's not.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: I mean, it sounds like it should be right, but
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: the energy it is oddly not. And like he hasn't
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: been pressuring, And I've been seeing what he's been doing
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: to get citizenship outside of the potential of getting married.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: He's gotten like kissing an a license because he works
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: in the medical field, and he's been like doing all
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: these classes and stuff so that when he can start working,
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: he can immediately jump right into it and get a job. So,
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: like I'm seeing him do all this other stuff, maybe
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: one of those other things will pan out into a
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: pathway of citizenship. Right one of these jobs. Is that
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: a possibility. The biggest issue with that is that the
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: paperwork takes so long. He could get sponsored for employment,
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: but that takes up to a year for anything to
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: actually come of it. Well, I mean maybe it's like
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: he goes back after that, you know, when his visa
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: is about to expire, and then you guys do the
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: visa process, the ninety day thing that we all love
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: on television. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I'm so glad you
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: said he's not shady, because my immediate thought is, like,
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: you know, the one thing to be careful about is
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: your responsible for anything he does. So if he runs up,
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: you know, fifty dollars of credit card debt like that
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: falls to you if you guys are legally connected there. Yeah,
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: but I like that you said. I mean, it sounds
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: like it should be shady, but it's oddly not, so
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: I'm actually really surprised. One. I mean, everybody wants to
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: become a citizen of the United States, isn't shady. I mean,
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: it's just a natural you know, it's a natural thing
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: to want to do when you live in a country
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: that denounces gay people, even though we also open one.
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: But it's separate, separate issues. But yeah, I think what
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: Laura said is great. You know, maybe there is just
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: keep researching and do all of that kind of research
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: you can to see what the other avenues are, because
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: there are so many things that none of us know
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: about until we dive deep into a topic. Yeah, totally.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: And I've done a lot of researchs already, which is
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: partially I'm even considering it, just because everything that I've
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: looked at take so long and still complicated. Just to
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: get like the bare minimum for immigrants in the country,
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: it's really quite ridiculous. But he's chat with an immigration
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: lawyer and it's working on that. So there's definitely more
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: research that needs to be done. I think, Well, and
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: it's also great that you're open minded to this, you know. Yeah,
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: I also feel like there's great bravery in him that
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: he came here, and I also feel like being the
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: psychic medium, I don't try to read mediumistically, but sometimes
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: it leads through. There's like a I think a grandmother
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: figure for him on the other side, who's very much
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: watching over and protecting him and guided him to you.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: And I didn't mean to imply in any way that
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: wanting citizenship with Shady that is not what I meant.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: Like you think somebody on a dating happen, I have
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: to get married or you're gonna lose me forever, That's right,
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: But it's like I feel like you two were brought together. Actually,
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: you know, I think the universe brings people into our
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: paths and that offer us great opportunities to love and
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: be loved. And that's how this feels to me. So
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: it's it's really beautiful. Yeah. I feel really good around
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: him and about him, which is why you know, I'm
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: considering this because I've dated lots of shitty people in
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: the past, and I like to think I'm a pretty
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: good judge of ch character. But just like talking to
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: him and how he's interacted with my ends and the
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: conversations we have, Like I just feel really good about it,
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: so help. Yeah, well that's good. Trust yourself. M Well,
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: let us know if you guys get married, let us know,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: keep us supposed to as to what happens. I will
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: thank you guys so much for the advice. It helps
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: a lot. Okay, thank you, take care, Thanks you too,
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: have a great day. Bye bye. It's so funny when
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: you think about, like like I would totally marry somebody
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: just to get them a visa. You know, you're so awesome.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: Was the light worker in you? Because you profoundly changed
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: someone else's life just but I would, and I would
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: be like, we don't ever have to talk again. You know,
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: it's hilarious. I mean, if I'm going to marry somebody,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: that's a more decent reason to do it. Well. And
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: even the year thing where he was saying like, oh,
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: within a year, he'll have his green card and everything.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: I know a couple that was like very much quote
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: unquote in love, but they were super toxic, fought all
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: the time. He was horrible, like the whole thing. But
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: she was from Canada and took her five years to
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: finally get her green card. So like this year thing like, yeah,
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: my brother's Mary. He just married someone from the Philippines
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: and he's waiting for her to get her a green card.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: They got married, she was halfway through the process, but
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: then they got married and she had to change her
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: last name to Handler, and the Filipino culture like you
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: have to do that right away, So then they had
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: to start the visa process over again. I'm like, god, boy,
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: what are you thinking, Like you did it backwards? So yeah, yeah,
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: I mean even John Oliver, he was like, I am
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: the best possible scenario. You know, I have every opportunity
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: available to me. I have the money to put into this,
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: and it is a nightmarish process, Like just a nightmarish,
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: horrible process. John Oliver roasted me on the show once.
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: What he did he showed a clip from Dr Oz
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: where I was saying like, oh, is there a b name?
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: And then he showed that clip and the person's like no. Afterwards,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: I went like, there was so much more to that
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: and it was accurate, and he was like, look at
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: these fools, look at these fraud psychic mediums. And then
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: people were like, hey, you're on John Oliver last night,
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: but it wasn't for a good reason, and I loved him.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: And then I was like, but by the way, British people,
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: I do not believe that, you know. They It's just
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: like they don't take medications. Brits are they don't go
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: to therapists. They don't believe in anything. All right, Well,
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: we've got Julia back here. Read her email. She's a chef,
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: by the way, she says. Dear Chelsea, I've lived in
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: l A for four years now, and I've never been
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: completely sold on it. My boyfriend of almost the same
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: amount of time is from here. He's known I've always
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: wanted to move to the Pacific Northwest, but even when
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: we put a timeline on it, he backed out. I
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: recently reached out to an old boss of mind to
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: put feelers out that I was looking to move back
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: to the area, and she immediately offered me a job.
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: I accepted, hoping it would be incentive for my boyfriend
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: to commit to the move. He doesn't want to go,
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: but he also doesn't want to lose me, and so
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: as we stand now, he works fifteen hours a day,
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: mostly six days a week, so I hardly see him
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: as it is do I move without him? Or do
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: I stay until he's ready to go if he ever
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: will be Sincerely, Julia, Hi, Julia, Hi, Hello, Hello. Hi.
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: Our special guest is Laura Lynn Jackson, who's a good
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: friend of mine and she's a psychic medium, so she's
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: gonna be able to tell you a little bit more
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: about yourself than I will. But I'm just gonna get
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: say right off the bat, move, do your thing, Do
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: your thing always. Do not wait around for any man.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: It does not matter. You know, if you're meant to
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: be together, you'll be together. True, that's always been in
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: the back of my mind. We are women and we
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: need to be in control of our destiny, you know
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: what I mean. And it's a good example to set
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: not only for yourself, but all of the women in
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: your life. And I have a best friend who lives
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: out there, like my closest friend, and she's kind of just,
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: you know, waiting for me to make that move. She
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: says the same thing, but it's so much easier said
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: than done. So what's interesting is I really do feel
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: like we are all psychic. And Chelsea, you keep saying
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: like I'm not a psychic medium, but and then you'll
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: say the exact same things I'm seeing. Right, So, like
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: you are psychics? Are you? We all are? And so
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: are you your psychic to you? And like, that's what
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: I want to talk to you about, is tuning in
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: intuitively to what your polls are. I think we all
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: get what I call pulls to do something or act
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: a certain ways sometimes, and quite frankly, they're often completely
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: counterintuitive to logically what makes sense in our lives. So,
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: for example, you have a set path right now, you're
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: living in a certain place, you have a relationship. Logically,
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: it might be a little inconvenient to be like I'm
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: going to move and I'm going to go do this.
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: But intuitively, that spiritual part, you're the light part of yourself.
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: I feel like you're really you got your own download
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: and you're getting a pull to move and go do
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: this and that you know that's your highest path. But
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: it's coming out of price, right, because there's risk involved,
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: there's some fear what will this mean for the relationship? Right,
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: But what I'm going to tell you is it's always
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: important when making decisions to make a love path choice,
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: not a fear based one. So if you were to
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: say no to this job and not move. It's strictly
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: out of fear. Fear of what does this mean about
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: me losing my relationship? What if I get there and
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: I feel insecure, I feel like did I make a mistake.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: That's all fear based. But if you look at it
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: in a love based way and see that the universe
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: is guiding you and everything's feeling right and you're being
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: pulled there, you're gonna need to trust in that and
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: act on that. I see you moving, I see so
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: much light about it. I see that it's fantastic. I
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: feel like the choice here is like the when of it,
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: because I feel like there's already been some stalling, And
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: I really feel like if we go back about a
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: month and a half on your timeline, that's where the
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: opportunity kind of started, or that poll was, and we've
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: got another three months to kind of act on it.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: But I feel the sooner you can act on it,
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: the higher you're on your path. But only you can
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: do that. You've got to take a deep breath in
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: and really trust in your light and value yourself over
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: any relationship, and understand that you are of great worthy
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: and us to love and be loved and that not
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: to say that this is a test of the relationship,
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: but it is almost forcing a test. Right, you're going
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: to move because this is your passionate path and you
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: know you're meant to. Let's see how he reacts, you know,
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: And it's almost a litmus test because if he is
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: the right person for you, he's going to grow with
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: you and he will come along and you will work
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: that out. And if not, the universe is going to
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: bring you other people. That's how this works. But it's
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: trusting in your knowing and trusting in your pull and
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: I've to me, it's like such a clear poll for
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: you to go there. What I've kind of been thinking
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: about in the past couple of weeks is maybe it
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: isn't the right time for me to necessarily move there,
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: but kind of deciding between whether I should stay in
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: this relationship and try and make it work or I
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: just try and find somewhere else to live here in
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: l A. Because as much as I don't really love
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: living out here, I do like everything that the bigger
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: city has to offer, and I love kind of the
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: comfortablelity of the current job I do have. I'm a
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: private chef and I love working for this family and
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: the the work life balance that I have now. And
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: I feel like also moving was more of an ego thing.
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: Him not wanting to move kind of hurt my egos.
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: It's like, Oh, if he loves me, he should want
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: to do this with me. And I understand that it's
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: not that easy of a decision to make. But you're right,
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: if it was something that he wanted to grow and
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: do with me, that would have shown through already. But
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: are you saying you would move somewhere in l a
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: away from your boyfriend? Yeah? Well, what's the purpose of
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: that just to teach him a lesson? No, I guess
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: just like removing myself from the situation and still not
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: having to change every like uproot everything about my life
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: just because he doesn't want to grow in the same
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: way as me. Yeah, but I think you're talking about
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: two different things. I think you're you're excited about this
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: other opportunity, right, that's what's driving you, I mean, getting
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: if you're not going to take that opportunity city, I
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: don't know what the point is about moving. I mean,
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: what the point would be about moving away within Los Angeles?
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: It sounds like this is an opportunity for growth for you,
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: Like when you're unsure something and you know your gut
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: is telling you one thing. And it's very clear by
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: your letter and what you said in the beginning that
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: you kind of want to go back your friends. There
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: you have this job opportunity that you sought out that's
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: available for you. I think you should think about growth
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: when you're not sure about your feelings. Just do I
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: want to grow? Do I want to grow? And that's
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: the answer is always yes. And when you grow, things
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: will grow with you or grow away from you, and
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: that's not in your control. But all you can focus
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: on is your own growth. Yeah, and the person I
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: would be working for is has been so kind and
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: amazing and it it is a person that I would
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: want to work for. She's just very giving and has
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: made me feel very comfortable in making a big change, saying,
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: you know, there's no rush to starting the job, like
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: take your time, like of this is a big move,
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: and like she seems very excited to have me, so
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: it is worthwhile. I think that, Yeah, make sure you
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: tell her how great that feels. That's somebody who helps
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: you rise, right. I think true power is helping other
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: people find their light and rise in that. Right, we
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: all rise together rather than having power over somebody and
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: being demanding. So to me, it's like who we spend
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: our time with and who we spend our time around
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: matters greatly. We're always absorbing energy, right, So this, this
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: woman sounds phenomenal, and to be around her, and to
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: be around your best friend, it's like such this beautiful, comforting,
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: supportive circle of light. You know. I think for you,
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: what I'm feeling in your energy is this great sense
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: of loss by moving, loss of the relationship, disappointment really
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: in him not wanting to rise to the occasion and
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: move with you. And there's grief that comes with that,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: and I think it's important to acknowledge that and not
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: hide from it. But it doesn't mean you don't do
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: it anyway. You know. It's like trusting in your own
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: value and your own light over all things. Yeah, this
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: is the first relationship where I've kind of taken the
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: reins and making decisions that benefit me out of the
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: pain that's come with, you know, things in the relationship.
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: So it is a little daunting, but it's something I
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: just need to do. Yeah, you do good for you, though,
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: I mean, that's really wonderful that you have that self
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: reflection and insight to recognize that you've been making changes.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: And sometimes there are these little small changes with these
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: little voices within ourselves, right that empower us in incredible ways.
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: And it sounds to me like you've been really going
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: through that shift into owning, taking ownership of your path
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: and your light and all those things. And it is
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: scary and it can be really overwhelming, but that's what
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: being brave is all about, right. It's like you're still
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: really afraid, but you do it anyway because it feels
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: like the highest path to do it. Yeah, I also
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: just to put a button on it. One of my
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: mentors always talked about your your geographic home, and it
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: may not always be the place where you live, but
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: it's the place that you've almost yourself most alive. And
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: for my mom, it's Arizona. They had my parents have
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: thought about moving there before they had kids, and now
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: they're retiring there nine months of the year and they
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: love it. For my younger brother, it's the Pacific Northwest.
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: And you know, I think if you can live there,
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: that's great, and if not, you've got to visit as
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: much as possible. But I think the path has really
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: opened up for you. It's not like, no, you can't
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: find a job, No, you don't have opportunities. It's like
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: you said, maybe this is for me, and the path
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: is opening up. So I think you have to listen
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: to that. Yeah, and yeah, I've only lived there like
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: the last two years of high school, and I don't
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: think it's where I want to settle, but I do
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: think it's something I just want to go experience and
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: and feel out and just do something different. Okay, we'll
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: keep us posted and let us know how everything goes. Okay,
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: we're on your side. Girl. Thank you, ladies, thank you
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: for taking the time. I appreciate it. Julia by Julia,
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: I by Well, that was great. Another day at the office.
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: You just change lives. Another day, another another dream coming true. Yes, well,
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: let's move to our clothes quick break. Okay, right back,
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: we'll take a quick break. Uh uh, we're back. Well,
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: we're back with Laura Lyn Jackson and Chelsea. Laura, do
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: you have any advice you'd like? Do you like can
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: I help you with anything? Well, there's so much I
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: really had to like narrow this question you know. So
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: what came to me was to ask you, and it's
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: a question for your listeners to not just me right.
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: But what I know about you, Chelsea is you're this
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: extraordinary light worker, and you're incredibly brave. And what I
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: also know about you is that every choice you make
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: has a ripple effect into the world because you're teaching
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: others through your actions, and you're teaching others by how
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: you're choosing to embrace your challenges. And the beautiful thing
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: about you is how honest you are with everyone about it.
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: So I was really wondering if you could share some
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: advice about how how we find our highest path, like
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: how you've navigated things to get to a place within
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: yourself where you have a sense of knowing like this
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: is what I need to do, this is my highest path,
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: Like how did you find that? I think a Well,
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: I'm not lying when I'm saying I've been influenced by
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: people like you, Teachers like you, teachers like my therapist
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: Dance Segal, teachers like Eckartole. I didn't know what that
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: knowing was, that voice was because I think sometimes we
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: get confused between our shadow self and our instinct. So
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: you don't know if that voice is the bad guy
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: or the good guy, right, because we all have that
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: inner voice, but we also have that voice that tells you,
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: like the devil on your shoulder, you're not smart enough,
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: you're not good enough, you're not pretty enough, you're not that.
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: So I think it's really about bifurcating those two things
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: and owing it's not a voice that's inside you, that's
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: a knowing, it's a feeling, it's a gut. When you
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: think about something in the warmth that comes with that
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: inside your stomach or in your chest, where you feel
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: calm and relaxed, that's when you have the knowing and
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: the idea that you're on the right track. And when
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: you have that loud, negative chatter, that repetition is the
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: bad chatter, that kind of telling you you're not good
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: enough or smart enough, or brave enough, or these people
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: don't like you. That's all the stuff that you have
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: to dismiss. And I've learned personally that identifying the differences
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: between those two feelings, the knowing and the chatter. I
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: know now that the knowing is what I have to trust,
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: and that the chatter gets quiet or the moment I
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: identify it, and I go, oh, that's not the real stuff.
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: Don't listen to that. I think it's so interesting too,
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: just for everyone who's listening. When you say knowing, you
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: are like clutching at your gut, like you're pointing to
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: your gut. And when you say chatter, it's like right
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: next to your had, like in your ear, kind of chatter,
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: like a little mouth. Because we can never get rid
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: of those voices, you know. I was always like, why
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: do I have negative thoughts? Like you know, this is
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: a conversation Laura and I had recently. I said, you know,
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: I want to just I don't want to have negative
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: thoughts about people. I want to wish everyone well. I
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: want even the people that I don't like or that
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: I have difficult relationships with, I want to be thinking
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: good things for them. I don't want to scroll through
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: Instagram and see somebody that I've had a difficult relationship
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: with and and not be happy for a success. That's
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: not how I want to operate. I want to give
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: out good vibes only. And she gave me this great
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: loving kindness meditation, which is I wish you happiness or
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: may you be happy, May you be healthy, May you
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: be safe, May you live a life of ease. And
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: you say it about the person you love the most,
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: you say it about yourself, Then you say it about
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: a mentor, which I say it about you every morning,
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: so I hope you've been feeling it. You said about
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: someone who's had a huge impact on your life, and
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: then you say it about a new real person, and
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: then you say it about somebody you have a difficult
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: relationship with, and then you say for all your neighbors
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: and the whole world. And she's like, and this is
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: a way to build great energy around you so that
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: you have like a fort of good vibrations. And that
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: is a game changer. People sucking do it. It is
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: a game changer because even people like you know, when
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: I have to pick the most difficult person, it's always
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: someone different because I've had so many difficult people in
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: my life because I'm so difficult that I'm just like, Okay,
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: who am I going to focus on? And you don't
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: mean it right away, but over time that when you
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: practice this kind for meditation, you do mean it. You
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: do want them to be happy and healthy and peaceful
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: and live a life with ease. You're just not gonna
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: do it together. And that's okay, you know. So yeah,
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: and I think identifying just identifying. You know, I didn't
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: know that those bad thoughts everybody had, everybody has that
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: shadow self that's telling you that, you know, it's the
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: devil on your shoulder. It's the person that is when
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: you're an that says, yeah, you can have another line
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: of cocaine or a hit of crystal math or whatever
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: your thing is. It's not your friend, it's your enemy.
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: But we all have it. And it's just about you
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: managing how to quiet that and how to make louder
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: the knowing. I love that. Yeah, so this is my guru. Now. Yes, Also,
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: this is a great book for anyone you guys, I
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: send this book. I have fifty copies in my house
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: at all times. For anyone who's ever lost a loved one,
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: you want to send them this book, okay. And the
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: books are signs and the light between us as the
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: light between from the universe, well either one, but Signs
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: from the Universe is the one that I send to
