- 0:09Speaker 1: Hello everyone, It's Adam Kaplan and Andrew to CHECKO from
- 0:13Speaker 1: inside the Birds. You're listening to the Pro Football Report,
- 0:16Speaker 1: presented by BCWSA right here on fourteen ninety WBCB and
- 0:21Speaker 1: one O seven point three FM and also seen live
- 0:24Speaker 1: at WBCB sports dot Com. And Andrew, we're back here
- 0:29Speaker 1: at Chicken, Peats and Zula Boulevard. We're here a couple
- 0:31Speaker 1: of weeks ago we were hopefully going to be joined
- 0:34Speaker 1: by Eagles running back Will Shipley, number twenty eight. We
- 0:37Speaker 1: believe Will's on his way, and the traffic was it's here.
- 0:40Speaker 1: We're in northeast Philly, where I grew up, not too
- 0:42Speaker 1: far from here.
- 0:43Speaker 2: The traffic was not good coming down here.
- 0:45Speaker 1: In our show, tonight's produced by the great Chris Armer.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Like to thank Chris for a great job that he
- 0:51Speaker 1: does as always producing us at all the Chicks, Chicken
- 0:54Speaker 1: and Pete's and so let's roll here, Andrew. So the
- 0:57Speaker 1: Eagles come off a big win against the Vikings, think
- 1:00Speaker 1: about a crazy game could have gone either way. The
- 1:03Speaker 1: Eagles were a slight favorite on the road at Minnesota,
- 1:05Speaker 1: but they won somehow, some way. They're five and two
- 1:09Speaker 1: as they head into this game this week against the Giants.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Yeah, the offense showed a lot of resolve in that game, Adam.
- 1:15Speaker 2: The best passing performance that I've seen from Jayleen Hurts
- 1:19Speaker 2: in a long time. You could argue the Super Bowl
- 1:21Speaker 2: and I just thought that they found a way when
- 1:24Speaker 2: the running game and they stay committed to it. Eighteen
- 1:26Speaker 2: carries for Saquon Barkley. It wasn't working, but they stayed
- 1:30Speaker 2: committed to both facets of the offense and Jayalen Hurts
- 1:33Speaker 2: was dealing in that game. You saw a lot of
- 1:36Speaker 2: deep shots, a couple to aj the seventy nine yarders
- 1:38Speaker 2: to DeVante when they were under center. The play action,
- 1:41Speaker 2: that's what you want to see out of that offense,
- 1:44Speaker 2: and that's a reminder of what they're capable of when
- 1:46Speaker 2: everything's firing in all cylinders. And then the defense made
- 1:49Speaker 2: some timely plays. Jay looks Hunt coming up with the
- 1:51Speaker 2: interception that isn't even possible unless jaywen Carter and he planted.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Carson Wentz gets through there and he beats the center
- 1:58Speaker 2: and Drew mccoba coming up with the interception there. It
- 2:01Speaker 2: was like a gift. It was a punt. I think
- 2:03Speaker 2: it was on the ensuing play.
- 2:05Speaker 1: That it was just a bad decision by Hertz. In fact,
- 2:07Speaker 1: I remember saying, there you go, there's all Carson Wentz
- 2:09Speaker 1: from twenty nineteen to twenty twenty. But getting back to
- 2:12Speaker 1: the Eagles offense andrew first half rather mundane, not much
- 2:17Speaker 1: going on. They started off running well and then at
- 2:19Speaker 1: the running game slid at halftime. I'm like, I just
- 2:23Speaker 1: don't have a feel for how this game is going
- 2:24Speaker 1: to go now. Jeff Mosher and I and greg O Sell,
- 2:28Speaker 1: we did our pregame show for Inside the Birds and
- 2:30Speaker 1: we did say that despite what the number show, the
- 2:34Speaker 1: tape shows, this is the all twenty two you can
- 2:36Speaker 1: throw against them the Viking second because they're voids. And
- 2:39Speaker 1: that's what happened. But you've covered this team. You're there
- 2:42Speaker 1: at every practice, particularly in training camp when you saw it.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Let's go back to August and we'll get back to
- 2:47Speaker 1: this game of second. This is lead up to the game.
- 2:50Speaker 1: What did you see from the Eagles passing game in
- 2:52Speaker 1: the preseason, but specifically in training.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Camp, Well, it was more so the short to intermediate game.
- 2:57Speaker 2: They weren't necessarily pushing the ball down the field, but
- 2:59Speaker 2: they always had that capability and Jalen Hurts has proven
- 3:02Speaker 2: that over the number of years that he's been the
- 3:05Speaker 2: Eagles starting quarterback, that they have that in the arsenal,
- 3:08Speaker 2: and he's very comfortable with doing so. And they saw
- 3:10Speaker 2: the void. As you mentioned, the middle of the field
- 3:13Speaker 2: was very much open for the Minnesota Vikings, and the
- 3:16Speaker 2: Eagles were able to pounce on the aggressive tendencies that
- 3:19Speaker 2: the Vikings and a Brian floor as defense presents and
- 3:22Speaker 2: you have to give them a lot of credit for that.
- 3:24Speaker 2: And that's you know, Jalen Hurts three hundred and twenty
- 3:26Speaker 2: six yards passing, That's that's what you want to see.
- 3:29Speaker 1: It's funny, and you just said that's what you want
- 3:31Speaker 1: to see. The fans are like, Okay, where's this been
- 3:33Speaker 1: the entire season?
- 3:35Speaker 2: Well, I don't know if it's always that simple. There's situations,
- 3:38Speaker 2: there's circumstances, there's injuries that play into it, and it's
- 3:43Speaker 2: not everything. Everything's not always in a vacuum. So it
- 3:46Speaker 2: seems to me, at least based off of one week,
- 3:48Speaker 2: that they're starting to hit their stride.
- 3:50Speaker 1: You would hope so, and you would hope it would
- 3:52Speaker 1: carry over against the Giants team that two weeks ago
- 3:54Speaker 1: Deagles lost too. But getting back to this game, right,
- 3:56Speaker 1: so you know Isaiah Rodgers all friend Isaiah Rodgers on
- 4:00Speaker 1: the other side, right, and they went after him. I
- 4:02Speaker 1: mean they did. And you know it's funny because the
- 4:04Speaker 1: fans were like, oh, how could the Egles not resign
- 4:05Speaker 1: him number one of the Eagles. As I understood it,
- 4:07Speaker 1: they did make a run to try to resign him.
- 4:09Speaker 1: It didn't happen. But Isaiah Rodgers has been a splash
- 4:11Speaker 1: player for the Viking, so that's a big plays. But
- 4:14Speaker 1: you could throw against him. He's really not a number
- 4:16Speaker 1: one corner. I think everybody knew that. Yeah, but Isaiah Rodgers.
- 4:19Speaker 1: You covered him last year. Give us a bird's eye
- 4:22Speaker 1: view of what you remember from Isaiah Rodgers. Yeah.
- 4:24Speaker 2: I like Isaiah very much. We had a good rapport.
- 4:26Speaker 2: But he's very quick and he anticipates throws and he
- 4:31Speaker 2: has good shirt area of quickness. But the one area
- 4:34Speaker 2: that I saw players may able to have success was
- 4:37Speaker 2: bigger bodied, wide receivers. And that's what you saw in
- 4:40Speaker 2: that game. There he is right now, will see how
- 4:43Speaker 2: are you doing?
- 4:44Speaker 1: Yeah, And we're gonna get into that. And here he is,
- 4:45Speaker 1: number twenty eight from Clemson University, second year running back.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Welcome to the Pro Football Report. Well Shipley, good to
- 4:51Speaker 1: see it.
- 4:51Speaker 3: Man, I appreciate y'all having me. Good to be with
- 4:54Speaker 3: you will no doubt same here.
- 4:55Speaker 1: How are you feeling that for a big win like that? Man? Great?
- 4:58Speaker 3: You know, let's get back.
- 4:59Speaker 4: Good to get back on the right side of the board.
- 5:02Speaker 4: Just got to keep improving, keep getting better and looking
- 5:05Speaker 4: forward to a good week against the Giants.
- 5:07Speaker 1: All right. So so well, let let's talk about today's Tuesday. Right, Typically,
- 5:11Speaker 1: if you have a game on Sunday, it's a player's
- 5:13Speaker 1: day off. What do you do on a day off?
- 5:14Speaker 1: Give the listeners a day of what you do?
- 5:16Speaker 4: Yeah, so day in the life, wake up, do a
- 5:19Speaker 4: little bit of rehab, you know, just get some soft
- 5:22Speaker 4: tissue work on the body, whether it's some massage, you know,
- 5:26Speaker 4: just some mobility stuff, you know, get the.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Body back in the right direction for the week. And
- 5:31Speaker 3: then I usually do.
- 5:32Speaker 4: The hyperbaric chamber, whether it's over at Novacare or you know,
- 5:35Speaker 4: the Flyers have been kind enough to you know, let
- 5:38Speaker 4: me go over there since I'm in Jersey and you know,
- 5:41Speaker 4: use their hyperbaric chamber. So that's been awesome. Then I
- 5:43Speaker 4: go buy Kenny's meals, grab about eight to ten meals
- 5:46Speaker 4: for the week, make sure everything's prepped up ready to go,
- 5:51Speaker 4: and and.
- 5:52Speaker 3: Then yeah, just spend some time with the wife. So
- 5:54Speaker 3: it's awesome.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Andrew.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Yeah, so you and I spent a lot of time
- 5:58Speaker 2: talking to each other last season for the Rookie Diary.
- 6:00Speaker 2: And for those who don't know, you're big on cooking
- 6:03Speaker 2: and meals and everything like that. So I have to ask,
- 6:07Speaker 2: what's what's the latest? What do you got cooking up?
- 6:10Speaker 4: My wife has been doing an incredible job. Her and
- 6:13Speaker 4: I have been trying new recipes. We just got a
- 6:16Speaker 4: blackstone for the backyard for one of our wedding gifts.
- 6:19Speaker 4: Finally got it in shout out to the Ritas for that.
- 6:22Speaker 4: But yeah, so we're trying a bunch of new different recipes.
- 6:26Speaker 4: Most of them are have been air fryer here.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Lately because we've got an air fryer cookbook that that
- 6:31Speaker 3: we've been trying. So yeah, it's been good.
- 6:34Speaker 4: We're we're definitely continuing to get better and better.
- 6:36Speaker 2: No smoker, no green egg yet, no, thank god.
- 6:39Speaker 3: But we got some stories from our apartment last year.
- 6:42Speaker 4: I tell you it didn't matter what you cook, that
- 6:44Speaker 4: smoke detector was going off.
- 6:45Speaker 3: It was hectic.
- 6:47Speaker 1: So well as a guy, young guy second year. I
- 6:49Speaker 1: know you just talked about food. Are you into a.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Nutrition Yes, Yeah, it's big.
- 6:53Speaker 4: You know, I believe that it's the biggest ROI you know,
- 6:56Speaker 4: return on investment for recovery besides sleep. So you know,
- 7:00Speaker 4: you can get the NORMA tech boots, you can do
- 7:02Speaker 4: the hyperbarer chamber, you can do this, that the other.
- 7:04Speaker 3: But if you're not handling.
- 7:05Speaker 4: Your sleep and your nutrition, then you know, I think
- 7:08Speaker 4: you're you're setting yourself back.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Now speaking of that, what kind of food do you eat?
- 7:12Speaker 1: How do you stay? Do you clean food, vegetarian or
- 7:15Speaker 1: meat or what kind of food do you have?
- 7:16Speaker 4: Yeah, my wife is incredible about you know, fueling me,
- 7:20Speaker 4: fueling me the correct way. So just a lot of beef,
- 7:22Speaker 4: a lot of chicken, as much protein as I can
- 7:25Speaker 4: get and then you know, got to get the greens
- 7:26Speaker 4: in there.
- 7:27Speaker 3: That's the tough part for me.
- 7:28Speaker 4: Yeah. So she does a great job, whether it's making
- 7:30Speaker 4: me a shake or you know, throwing some spinach and
- 7:34Speaker 4: the beef. You know, she helps me get everything that
- 7:37Speaker 4: I need to to be ready for the week.
- 7:39Speaker 2: So this week featured a new kickoff return tandem, you
- 7:43Speaker 2: and and Xavier Gibson. That was Xavier's first game with
- 7:45Speaker 2: the Eagles. He had the thirty seven yard or you
- 7:47Speaker 2: had to believe a thirty three yarder. What have you
- 7:50Speaker 2: observed and how Xavier has been adapting. He's I think
- 7:52Speaker 2: he's always been here three weeks now.
- 7:54Speaker 3: Yeah, he's awesome.
- 7:55Speaker 4: Man. You know, I love x in the locker room
- 7:58Speaker 4: and you know just who he is as a character
- 8:01Speaker 4: now as a football player, he's a he's a ball
- 8:03Speaker 4: or two. I think everybody was able to see that
- 8:05Speaker 4: this week. So you know, I'm excited to be back
- 8:08Speaker 4: there with him, and you know, I think we just
- 8:10Speaker 4: got to continue to take advantage of the opportunities that
- 8:14Speaker 4: that are presented to us, and you know, hopefully we
- 8:16Speaker 4: can we can get a big one and bang our
- 8:18Speaker 4: head on the goalpost here soon.
- 8:20Speaker 2: He brings a lot of positive energy. Definitely haven't talked
- 8:22Speaker 2: to him a couple of times. You can clearly see
- 8:24Speaker 2: that even though that was your first game together, that
- 8:26Speaker 2: there was a lot of communication. So could you talk
- 8:28Speaker 2: a little bit about the communication that goes into that
- 8:30Speaker 2: facet of the game.
- 8:32Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, it definitely never lacks back there. You've
- 8:35Speaker 4: got to be communicating. Uh, you know where the ball goes.
- 8:39Speaker 4: You know, whether the call is switched up based off
- 8:42Speaker 4: of if it's outside the numbers or in the alley.
- 8:44Speaker 4: You know, there's there's definitely different things also just who's
- 8:47Speaker 4: catching the ball. But you know, I would say there's
- 8:50Speaker 4: really one communicator. So going into the game, it's like,
- 8:52Speaker 4: all right, I'll be the calm guy, or in another
- 8:55Speaker 4: game it could be him being the calm guy.
- 8:57Speaker 3: And and essentially we we call who's gonna get it
- 9:00Speaker 3: is me?
- 9:01Speaker 4: Me?
- 9:01Speaker 5: Me?
- 9:01Speaker 1: You? You you?
- 9:03Speaker 4: And then like I said, you know, if we've got
- 9:05Speaker 4: a double four and three to the play side, if
- 9:09Speaker 4: it gets kicked outside of the numbers to the opposite
- 9:12Speaker 4: of that, then you know we're changing it to just
- 9:14Speaker 4: go straight up and and uh, you know.
- 9:17Speaker 3: Just switching it up.
- 9:18Speaker 4: So it's just a lot of communication, you know, pretty
- 9:21Speaker 4: much whatever coach Klay calls, Uh, you just got to
- 9:23Speaker 4: know what your responsibility is and we've done a great
- 9:26Speaker 4: job of that.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Well, how much different is the NFL kickoff return, which
- 9:29Speaker 1: you know the rules the rules got revised a couple
- 9:31Speaker 1: of years ago to what you had at Clipson.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Yeah, it's complete opposite.
- 9:37Speaker 4: You know, at Clemson, it was the guys lined up,
- 9:41Speaker 4: stacked up, you know, between twenty thirty yards. Now it's
- 9:44Speaker 4: everybody at the forty yard line for them and you
- 9:48Speaker 4: know down to the thirty five for us, and it's
- 9:50Speaker 4: it's ultimately about catching the football downhill, uh, you know,
- 9:54Speaker 4: making sure that that you're getting every tenth of a
- 9:56Speaker 4: second that you can at the front end, and then
- 9:58Speaker 4: just being able to read those guys up front. You know,
- 10:00Speaker 4: we've got a tremendous front line. If they can just
- 10:04Speaker 4: get a body on a body, then you know we've
- 10:05Speaker 4: got an opportunity to take advantage of those lanes.
- 10:07Speaker 2: It's kind of like inside zone, right like we were
- 10:09Speaker 2: talking about last week.
- 10:10Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, at one hundred percent is you know, I
- 10:12Speaker 4: think you know, you can see the similarities just based
- 10:16Speaker 4: on whether they go front side it's going to be
- 10:18Speaker 4: a backside cut or they're they're standing big on the
- 10:22Speaker 4: back then you know it could be a front side.
- 10:24Speaker 4: So yeah, you definitely see a lot of similarities. And
- 10:26Speaker 4: I think that's that's.
- 10:27Speaker 3: You know, helped me, you know, just adapt to it
- 10:30Speaker 3: and and get used to.
- 10:31Speaker 1: It well as a rookie, and I know Andrew did
- 10:34Speaker 1: at rookie Diary with you last season, which we really
- 10:36Speaker 1: enjoyed it inside the Birds. But as a rookie, were
- 10:39Speaker 1: there any mentors? Was it Saquon anyone you you looked
- 10:42Speaker 1: up to when you first got to Philly?
- 10:44Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, I think Saquon is is uh you
- 10:47Speaker 4: know the name that jumps off the board. Along with that,
- 10:50Speaker 4: you know Kenny g from last year. He he played
- 10:53Speaker 4: a huge role and you know, just helping me with with.
- 10:56Speaker 3: Everything that a rookie struggles with.
- 10:59Speaker 4: But yeah, you know Akwan, he's he's one of a
- 11:01Speaker 4: kind man and in terms of, you know, just who
- 11:04Speaker 4: he is a football player. If I was just able
- 11:05Speaker 4: to sit there and watch, I would learn a ton.
- 11:07Speaker 4: But he makes it that much better because he's willing
- 11:10Speaker 4: to share. He's willing to, you know, take me through
- 11:13Speaker 4: what he's thinking, if he sees this, this is what's
- 11:16Speaker 4: going through his mind. And he's been very generous in
- 11:19Speaker 4: that way. So I'm very appreciative of him for sure.
- 11:21Speaker 2: And now it seems like you paid it forward because
- 11:23Speaker 2: I talked to whether it was Shen Derek Powell in
- 11:25Speaker 2: the summer or Montreal Johnson that you were one of
- 11:28Speaker 2: the first players, even Darius Cooper, you were one of
- 11:30Speaker 2: the first players that they mentioned in terms of just
- 11:32Speaker 2: helping them acclimate. Is that something that comes natural to
- 11:34Speaker 2: you and do you just gravitate towards that naturally?
- 11:38Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, I think I think I kind of
- 11:40Speaker 4: just gravitate towards it. It's something that I've always kind
- 11:44Speaker 4: of embodied, whether it's you know, from an upbringing or
- 11:47Speaker 4: whatever the case is. It's like, whatever knowledge I have, however,
- 11:50Speaker 4: I can help you out through through a situation you're
- 11:52Speaker 4: going through, or you know, different thoughts like I'm going
- 11:55Speaker 4: to give you all my experience and all my knowledge.
- 11:58Speaker 4: And I think that's why our organization is so great
- 12:00Speaker 4: because you see that from uh, from the older guys,
- 12:03Speaker 4: and then someone like me gets that treatment my rookie year,
- 12:06Speaker 4: and now I want to go and do the same thing.
- 12:08Speaker 4: So it really starts from the top. And uh, you know,
- 12:12Speaker 4: I'm just passing it on.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Tell us about Jamal Singleton, You're running backs coach.
- 12:17Speaker 3: The best man.
- 12:18Speaker 4: I'm why just who he drives me to be as
- 12:22Speaker 4: a person more than anything, you know, I think that
- 12:26Speaker 4: just the standard he holds himself to on and off
- 12:29Speaker 4: the field. Uh, the type of man that he is,
- 12:31Speaker 4: the husband, the father, and then also on the football field,
- 12:36Speaker 4: you know he's he's taught me that you can always
- 12:39Speaker 4: get better at something and you know you're never gonna
- 12:42Speaker 4: reach your full potential. So you always got to be
- 12:44Speaker 4: in that go mode and every rep that you watch
- 12:47Speaker 4: there's something that you can fix, so so make sure
- 12:49Speaker 4: you find it. Those are just a couple of things
- 12:51Speaker 4: that you know definitely resonate with.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Me on the field. If you had to pick one
- 12:56Speaker 2: thing that that sort of helped shape your game from Jamal.
- 12:59Speaker 1: What would that be?
- 13:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I would say just the details with the different runs.
- 13:04Speaker 4: You know, whether it's keeping your shoulders square, giving that
- 13:07Speaker 4: shoulder tick on inside zone, outside zone, you know, making
- 13:11Speaker 4: a decision on the fourth step uh, and and getting
- 13:14Speaker 4: vertical you know, no hesitation, no, you know, extra movement
- 13:19Speaker 4: that that wouldn't be used. So yeah, you know, just
- 13:22Speaker 4: on the on the different runs, how detailed you have
- 13:24Speaker 4: to be uh because those linebackers mirror you. You know, everybody's
- 13:27Speaker 4: watching something different. So if you can just get half
- 13:31Speaker 4: a yard or you know, one tenth of a second
- 13:34Speaker 4: like that can truly be the difference in this league.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Well, you mention Kenny Gamill host now with the Steelers, right,
- 13:38Speaker 1: so he was the third down back, the pest protector.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Now this is a big role for you this season
- 13:42Speaker 1: obviously on third down. What did you do to help
- 13:45Speaker 1: yourself improve in pest protection?
- 13:47Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, it's something that I just put my
- 13:50Speaker 4: head down and I really worked at this offseason. You know.
- 13:53Speaker 4: It's it's something that I didn't have to do too
- 13:55Speaker 4: much in college, but was never afraid of doing.
- 13:58Speaker 3: And I think that's where a lot.
- 14:00Speaker 4: Of it comes is you just got to be willing
- 14:02Speaker 4: to go and make a physical play. You know, it's
- 14:05Speaker 4: two guys ten yards apart, running and meeting wherever you
- 14:10Speaker 4: meet in there, right, So it's just really the want
- 14:13Speaker 4: to and then obviously all of the technical stuff.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Coach Shingleton does a.
- 14:17Speaker 4: Great job of coaching us up on pass Pro. But yeah,
- 14:21Speaker 4: I just got to go in there with the mentality
- 14:23Speaker 4: like it's going to be a fight, and you know
- 14:25Speaker 4: there's a lot of technicals on. You know, where you
- 14:27Speaker 4: can put your head and how how wide you want
- 14:30Speaker 4: your feet apart. All that stuff plays a great deal
- 14:33Speaker 4: and coach Singleton has helped me with that.
- 14:35Speaker 2: You could certainly see that paying off, especially right before
- 14:38Speaker 2: the half you had a couple where you stoned I
- 14:40Speaker 2: think it was Eric Wilson, the linebacker. Does being a
- 14:43Speaker 2: personal protector on punt I know it's a little bit different,
- 14:46Speaker 2: but does that help you translate over into the pass
- 14:49Speaker 2: pro You know.
- 14:50Speaker 4: It's funny you asked that because I was I was
- 14:51Speaker 4: thinking about that after the game. You know, being a
- 14:54Speaker 4: personal protector, that's honestly the most one on one blocking
- 14:58Speaker 4: I'll probably ever do. You know, whether I'm in the backfield,
- 15:02Speaker 4: the percentage that I'm one on one with somebody is
- 15:05Speaker 4: a lot higher as a personal protector, And that's definitely
- 15:08Speaker 4: helped me out, you know, doing it since last year
- 15:11Speaker 4: of Game one against Green Bay. You know, it's just
- 15:14Speaker 4: the ability to get those reps and you know those
- 15:17Speaker 4: transfer over. It's not the exact same for sure, but
- 15:20Speaker 4: it does transfer over and help me out with just
- 15:23Speaker 4: getting that experience.
- 15:24Speaker 1: All right, everyone, you're listening to the Pro Football Report,
- 15:26Speaker 1: presented by BCWSA right here in fourteen ninety WBCB and
- 15:30Speaker 1: one of seven three FM, and also seeing live at

- 15:36Speaker 1: Will Shipley will be right back.
- 15:38Speaker 6: Sky Motor Cars and West Gust there was a different
- 15:40Speaker 6: sort of dealers. All it takes is one look at
- 15:42Speaker 6: their highline pre owned vehicles. But people all over the
- 15:44Speaker 6: country what the over bredge should make sure you don't
- 15:48Speaker 6: spend the time with your money before you've purchased the car.
- 15:50Speaker 6: Sky Motor Cars allows you to make all the decisions
- 15:54Speaker 6: regarding your next vehicle. At sky Motor Cars, you never
- 15:57Speaker 6: have to spend more than necessary. Because it's sky Corners
- 16:00Speaker 6: dot Com today for both six nine.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Won eighty seven, it's Adam Kaplan and Andrew de Cheko
- 16:10Speaker 1: from Inside the Birds and number twenty eight from your
- 16:13Speaker 1: Philadelphia Eagles fourth rounder out of Clemson. Will Shipley, thank
- 16:19Speaker 1: you well for joining us. There are a ton of
- 16:21Speaker 1: people here wanning your autograph. Man. By the way, Will
- 16:24Speaker 1: I meant to ask you this question. So you got
- 16:28Speaker 1: drafted here in Philly, what did you think of the
- 16:30Speaker 1: fan base when you got here?
- 16:32Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 16:32Speaker 4: I First of all, my brother went to the UPenn
- 16:36Speaker 4: Oh I didn't know that. Yeah, two years older than
- 16:39Speaker 4: I am.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Oh, okay, okay.
- 16:42Speaker 4: You know. He he lived here and him and his
- 16:44Speaker 4: boys went to the Eagles games all the time, so
- 16:46Speaker 4: I got a little bit of a head start knowledge
- 16:49Speaker 4: from him.
- 16:50Speaker 3: But I absolutely love this fan base.
- 16:51Speaker 4: And you know, coming from a place like Clemson, who
- 16:54Speaker 4: the fan base is also very passionate, they care a
- 16:56Speaker 4: lot about their players. You know, I think Philly fans
- 17:00Speaker 4: are probably a little more back and forth in terms
- 17:03Speaker 4: of when we're doing good, you know, they're gonna.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Praise us, and what we're doing bad we get, we
- 17:08Speaker 3: get the scrutiny.
- 17:09Speaker 4: And you know, I'm not saying that's a bad thing,
- 17:10Speaker 4: because all I can say is I love the passion.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Now I want to relive a moment from the postseason
- 17:17Speaker 2: last year. I can vidly remember talking to you after
- 17:19Speaker 2: this play. You even showed me the photo of this
- 17:21Speaker 2: play at the team gave to you. In the NFC
- 17:24Speaker 2: title game, you forced a fumble on special teams. I'm
- 17:28Speaker 2: sure everyone would love to hear you relive that play.
- 17:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:32Speaker 4: No, it's definitely my my favorite play from my rookie
- 17:35Speaker 4: year for sure.
- 17:36Speaker 3: But you know, big NFC Championship.
- 17:38Speaker 4: Game against the Commanders and uh, you know, ultimately my
- 17:42Speaker 4: role last year was a core for guy who you know,
- 17:45Speaker 4: was was trying to make plays on special teams, and
- 17:48Speaker 4: I look at that every opportunity that I get on
- 17:51Speaker 4: the field, I just want to be able to help
- 17:52Speaker 4: my team win. So you know, it just ended up coming,
- 17:56Speaker 4: uh in that game with that opportunity. But you know,
- 17:59Speaker 4: did this same thing that that I I do on
- 18:01Speaker 4: really every other one, And that's you know, making sure
- 18:04Speaker 4: that my outside shoulder is free.
- 18:06Speaker 3: You know, it was actually a little bit of.
- 18:07Speaker 4: A knuckleball, you know, pre knuckleball time, but it landed early,
- 18:12Speaker 4: so I ended up going inside of the left end
- 18:16Speaker 4: instead of outside to keeping my outside shoulder free. So
- 18:19Speaker 4: I'm running inside. He's He's got a pretty good hold
- 18:21Speaker 4: on my my back right. I'm like, oh crap, I
- 18:24Speaker 4: gotta get my right shut. I could I gotta get
- 18:28Speaker 4: outside leverage here, so I see the lead returner coming
- 18:32Speaker 4: to block me as well. All I'm thinking in my
- 18:34Speaker 4: head is I gotta get outside. I gotta get back outside.
- 18:38Speaker 4: And uh. You know it's funny the linebacker coach after,
- 18:42Speaker 4: you know, I made him fumble and I came up,
- 18:43Speaker 4: he was like, how'd you do it?
- 18:44Speaker 3: Do you punch it out?
- 18:46Speaker 4: I do not know it was in my helmet or
- 18:49Speaker 4: something in there that that ended up getting the ball out.
- 18:53Speaker 4: But yeah, like I said, you know, it's uh, just
- 18:55Speaker 4: doing doing what I do every time, and you know,
- 18:57Speaker 4: the opportunity just presented itself.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Well, by the way, speaking of the Super Bowl and
- 19:01Speaker 1: then we're going to get to our our injury review,
- 19:03Speaker 1: But what did you do with your ring? Where is it?
- 19:06Speaker 4: It is locked up in a very safe place.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Oh good god. Yeah, you look at it?
- 19:11Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah, you know anytime, you know, anytime I
- 19:17Speaker 4: reminisced about it.
- 19:17Speaker 3: I've got a good old video on my phone that
- 19:19Speaker 3: I'll look at.
- 19:20Speaker 4: But you know, the first couple of weeks, I spent
- 19:22Speaker 4: a lot of time with it. It was right there
- 19:24Speaker 4: on my bedside, and and you know, now it's locked
- 19:27Speaker 4: up in a safe place.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Was it kind of one of the how long did
- 19:30Speaker 1: it take you to come off of that Super Bowl high?
- 19:32Speaker 1: Like weeks months to day? Like we did? You keep
- 19:37Speaker 1: thinking about it, like is this real? I was a rookie?
- 19:39Speaker 1: Howd I went to Super Bowl? Like what was that
- 19:41Speaker 1: like for you as a rookie?
- 19:41Speaker 3: Yeah, it was. It was surreal. I think for me
- 19:44Speaker 3: it uh, it.
- 19:45Speaker 4: Kind of went into the off season just because all
- 19:48Speaker 4: my family and my friends and you know, when I
- 19:50Speaker 4: went back home to Charlotte and the off season, like,
- 19:53Speaker 4: it is surreal to see other people's perspectives, you know,
- 19:57Speaker 4: and for me it was unbelievable. I tell everyone who asks,
- 20:00Speaker 4: like I feel spoiled. Uh to get drafted to such
- 20:03Speaker 4: a great organization and to get a Super Bowl my
- 20:06Speaker 4: first year, Like, I understand how blessed I am for that.
- 20:09Speaker 3: So I just really appreciate it. And uh, you.
- 20:12Speaker 4: Know, I was able to get back to work soon
- 20:15Speaker 4: in March, but yeah, I definitely just appreciated it and
- 20:20Speaker 4: took it all in while the time was there.
- 20:22Speaker 1: All right, guys, it's time now for this week's injury review,
- 20:25Speaker 1: brought to you by the attorneys at Begley, Carlin and Mandio.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Contact them today for a free consultation at two one
- 20:33Speaker 1: five at six three six eight nine. That's two one
- 20:36Speaker 1: five eight oh six three six eight nine. And and
- 20:39Speaker 1: Will cam Jurgens goes down early with the knee injury.
- 20:43Speaker 1: And Brett Toth at a moment's notice, notice this guy
- 20:46Speaker 1: to play center. I don't like these sudden changes, man,
- 20:49Speaker 1: when you were asked to do something that yes, he's
- 20:52Speaker 1: done it before, but you've done You've had to do
- 20:54Speaker 1: it as a as a collegiate or as a high
- 20:56Speaker 1: school player. How tough is it when you you got
- 20:58Speaker 1: to do something different than you may practice during that week.
- 21:01Speaker 4: Yeah, it's it's definitely tough, you know. And the you
- 21:06Speaker 4: never want anyone to get injured, so you know, speedy,
- 21:10Speaker 4: speedy recovery to cam. But for Brett, Brett to come in,
- 21:13Speaker 4: like everybody has full confidence in him, how he prepares
- 21:16Speaker 4: throughout the week is you're nothing short of a starter.
- 21:20Speaker 4: And his communication, he's on tea with it, and and
- 21:23Speaker 4: you know, like I said, there is definitely no dropping
- 21:27Speaker 4: confidence when Brett goes in there of Hey, that's our guy.
- 21:30Speaker 4: He knows what he's doing and he's prepared for this
- 21:33Speaker 4: moment just like everyone else's.
- 21:34Speaker 1: People forget Andrew. He's been here since twenty nineteen, off
- 21:37Speaker 1: and on of course the roster.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Yeah, this is his seventh year. I've had some really
- 21:41Speaker 2: good conversations with bretton and so I have a question
- 21:44Speaker 2: about the oblique because that's what that's what Grant's dealing
- 21:48Speaker 2: with right now. Yeah, what is it? What does that
- 21:52Speaker 2: feel like? What's the recovery process like? And how are
- 21:55Speaker 2: you able to sort of navigate through that.
- 21:57Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, I got mine week one and Dallas,
- 22:01Speaker 4: and and you know, it's a little bit different for everybody.
- 22:04Speaker 4: From the couple guys that I've talked to, you know,
- 22:07Speaker 4: mine was in the front of my rib cage, you know,
- 22:10Speaker 4: front apps. Some people can get it all the way,
- 22:12Speaker 4: you know, in their their rear rib cage. But for me,
- 22:16Speaker 4: it was just really the twisting and rotational piece to it. Uh,
- 22:20Speaker 4: it's just getting that back down, being able to you know,
- 22:25Speaker 4: breathe through all of your movements and and you know,
- 22:27Speaker 4: you've got to be ready for when you go back
- 22:29Speaker 4: out there, especially Grant for tight end, me for running
- 22:33Speaker 4: back when you're engaged on a block and you know
- 22:35Speaker 4: you're trying to stick with them, your obliques are what's
- 22:38Speaker 4: keeping you still there, right, So you know, it's just
- 22:41Speaker 4: making sure that you're confident, confident that you can go
- 22:44Speaker 4: out there and do.
- 22:44Speaker 3: What you need to do.
- 22:45Speaker 4: Uh. But for me, it was you know, a good
- 22:47Speaker 4: two three weeks and and uh, you know, you're never
- 22:50Speaker 4: gonna feel one hundred percent during the season.
- 22:52Speaker 3: I fully believe that as well.
- 22:53Speaker 1: You were a protection for it.
- 22:55Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, I've got a rib you know, just the
- 22:58Speaker 4: same way that I wear extra paths my shoulders.
- 23:00Speaker 3: I got it down on my ribs. Now it's not
- 23:02Speaker 3: not one.
- 23:02Speaker 4: Of those big quarterback protectors, but yeah, I got some
- 23:05Speaker 4: stuff covered.
- 23:06Speaker 1: Well, we're gonna talk with the because is he's Hoche
- 23:09Speaker 1: Lauri with a hamstring. But of course he added Brandon
- 23:12Speaker 1: Graham today. Well, give give the folks an idea what
- 23:15Speaker 1: it's like to be Brandon Graham's teammate.
- 23:17Speaker 3: Oh, it's unbelievable.
- 23:18Speaker 4: I mean the leader that he is, you know, just
- 23:22Speaker 4: the vocal leadership, also the leadership by example. I mean,
- 23:26Speaker 4: you know, he he just entails everything that that you
- 23:28Speaker 4: want in a locker room. So you know, I think
- 23:31Speaker 4: I speak for everybody when when I say that we're
- 23:34Speaker 4: really excited, uh to have Beg back.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Do you have a favorite Beg story?
- 23:40Speaker 1: Uh?
- 23:41Speaker 4: Probably all throughout last year camp, whenever I I got
- 23:46Speaker 4: in there and Beg was on the other side, he
- 23:48Speaker 4: would he would point me out and say.
- 23:50Speaker 3: It's a pass. So just toying with me as a rookie.
- 23:56Speaker 4: But yeah, I think just his playful nature and how
- 24:00Speaker 4: much he likes to talk trash, everybody will be excited
- 24:03Speaker 4: to have that back.
- 24:04Speaker 2: I was missing here in locker rooms closed.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, but boy, even by the way, players
- 24:11Speaker 1: have been doing that for like decades at Novercare. It's
- 24:14Speaker 1: funny you mentioned that because I don't know if it's
- 24:16Speaker 1: a SMO started it.
- 24:18Speaker 2: I don't know, but BG, we'll probably hear that tomorrow.
- 24:20Speaker 1: I can't wait right now. It'd be interesting. So so
- 24:23Speaker 1: is He's og Laari with the Hampshire Eagles ended the
- 24:25Speaker 1: game with just three edge rushers by the way, speaking of,
- 24:28Speaker 1: so we'll see what they do with him. But joh
- 24:30Speaker 1: Hot Campbell. Tell the folks about joh Hot Campbell watching
- 24:33Speaker 1: him practice against you.
- 24:34Speaker 4: Yeah, he's he's incredible. You know, we saw it all
- 24:37Speaker 4: throughout camp, just to his his physical ability, but also
- 24:42Speaker 4: you know, the mental ability to pick up a playbook,
- 24:44Speaker 4: go out there and have the confidence to, uh, you know,
- 24:47Speaker 4: do what he did. So yeah, I think everyone's seeing,
- 24:49Speaker 4: you know, he is a specimen somebody that that has
- 24:52Speaker 4: to be dealt with, and uh, he's done a tremendous
- 24:55Speaker 4: job so far.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Ernandrow jury Jackson now with concussion, so what is the
- 24:59Speaker 1: qui back situation look like to you? Right now? Yeah?
- 25:02Speaker 2: That was scary. A Dory suffered a nasty concussion there
- 25:06Speaker 2: and it's looking like keelely Ringo. I know this week
- 25:10Speaker 2: Jacorey and Bennett at least by my estimation, is eligible
- 25:13Speaker 2: to have the twenty one day window open. We'll see
- 25:15Speaker 2: if that happens. But those those are the two players
- 25:18Speaker 2: that I think you look at. And they also have
- 25:20Speaker 2: Mac McWilliams, who's my Rookie Diary subject this year, who
- 25:24Speaker 2: who's also in the fold. And Vic Fango has spoke
- 25:26Speaker 2: glowingly about his work behind the scenes, as you know,
- 25:29Speaker 2: primarily as a nickel, but he's also working outside as well.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Mac Mickwams. What are your faults in Mac?
- 25:35Speaker 3: Well? Yeah, I love Mac too.
- 25:37Speaker 4: You know, my first game back against the Bucks was
- 25:40Speaker 4: really his first game getting gunner reps out there. So
- 25:43Speaker 4: you talked to someone a lot throughout the week on
- 25:46Speaker 4: you know, something small like that, and you know Mac,
- 25:49Speaker 4: he keeps his head down, but he works really hard,
- 25:51Speaker 4: and you know, just another really good guy to have
- 25:54Speaker 4: in the locker room and somebody that you trust because
- 25:56Speaker 4: he puts the preparation in.
- 25:57Speaker 2: I know that you know you don't you have played gunner.
- 26:01Speaker 2: But I was talking to Keeley about this, what makes
- 26:03Speaker 2: a good gunner that looks like an awfully challenging position
- 26:06Speaker 2: because it's one on one against two and you have
- 26:08Speaker 2: to have quick feet and all that.
- 26:09Speaker 4: Kieley Ringo and Sydney Brown. That's what makes good gunners
- 26:13Speaker 4: after truly. I mean you you watch those guys outside.
- 26:17Speaker 4: I mean, it's it's something to watch. It's tough to to,
- 26:20Speaker 4: you know, ever try to take them one on one
- 26:23Speaker 4: because they know what they're doing. They get down the
- 26:26Speaker 4: field and they do such a tremendous job. So it's
- 26:28Speaker 4: just having that speed, that confidence, and uh, you know,
- 26:31Speaker 4: being able to also be physical and tough when they
- 26:34Speaker 4: do double up for.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Special teams because you're returner. Do you work mainly with
- 26:38Speaker 1: Tyler Brown or both him and Michael Klay?
- 26:40Speaker 4: Yeah, I work with both, you know, pretty closely throughout
- 26:43Speaker 4: the week just uh, you know, with especially with PP,
- 26:46Speaker 4: me and Michael are always talking about different looks, kind
- 26:50Speaker 4: of what their philosophy is, different plays we have going
- 26:53Speaker 4: into the week, and then Tyler Brown does a great
- 26:56Speaker 4: job of getting us ready catching the football, you know,
- 26:59Speaker 4: whether it's extra kick returns after with you know, knuckleball
- 27:02Speaker 4: involved and uh yeah, just just I really work with
- 27:06Speaker 4: everyone because I.
- 27:06Speaker 3: Do a little bit of everything.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Does Michael Clay do anything special for the meetings, Like
- 27:10Speaker 2: I know, I think Kylon Grants and Jeremiah Trotter they're
- 27:13Speaker 2: second in the NFL and Special Teams tackles. Did they
- 27:16Speaker 2: shout it out, did they put anything up on the
- 27:18Speaker 2: board or anything.
- 27:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:19Speaker 4: Coach Clay does a tremendous job of giving gratitude where
- 27:23Speaker 4: it's deserved.
- 27:24Speaker 3: And you know, he highlights it.
- 27:26Speaker 4: We watch all the plays from the game and he
- 27:28Speaker 4: really goes through everybody one on, you know, one by
- 27:31Speaker 4: one and and just you know, gives us a lot
- 27:34Speaker 4: of respect for the amount of effort and and toughness
- 27:36Speaker 4: we're putting in. But when you talk about trot and Kylon,
- 27:39Speaker 4: I mean it's, uh, it's been fun to watch those
- 27:41Speaker 4: guys are getting after it.
- 27:43Speaker 3: You know, Kam Law two.
- 27:44Speaker 4: Oh, just the way he's he's impacted Special Teams. Uh,
- 27:48Speaker 4: you know, they're they're really leading the.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Group right now.
- 27:50Speaker 4: And it's it's because all the work they put in
- 27:52Speaker 4: and ultimately Coach Clay putting us in a you know
- 27:55Speaker 4: position to succeed.
- 27:56Speaker 2: You Cam and Sydney are creeping up that list too.
- 27:59Speaker 3: Yeah, Yeah, I gotta keep going, keep going.
- 28:02Speaker 1: All right, That was the injury Review brought to you
- 28:04Speaker 1: by the attorneys at Begley, Carlin and Mandio. It's Adam Kaplan,
- 28:07Speaker 1: Andrew du Checo and Eagles Will Shipley and you listen
- 28:10Speaker 1: to the Pro Football Report.
- 28:12Speaker 7: Hey, you know that one guy in the group chat
- 28:14Speaker 7: who hit a five leg parlay week one and he
- 28:16Speaker 7: wouldn't shut up about it for the rest of the season.
- 28:19Speaker 5: Sounds like Kaplan, right, yeah, yeah, it could be him.
- 28:22Speaker 5: It could be you, and we would all want to
- 28:26Speaker 5: be you. My bookie makes it stupid easy to get
- 28:30Speaker 5: in on the action, whether it's college ball, NFL Super

- 28:40Speaker 7: All under one roof. What more could you want than that?

- 30:23Speaker 1: Hey to it. This is amazing. They're playing the Giants
- 30:26Speaker 1: again and that was a tough loss. No one saw
- 30:29Speaker 1: that coming. Include to you guys, I'm sure, but hey,
- 30:31Speaker 1: it's the NFC East will you never know? You're playing
- 30:34Speaker 1: those Giants again, but this time it's at home. You've
- 30:38Speaker 1: seen their tape. You know what, Now you're an offensive guy,
- 30:40Speaker 1: you're also on special teams. Give us an idea because
- 30:43Speaker 1: you've already seen the tape of the Giants defense. What
- 30:46Speaker 1: does the defense look like to you?
- 30:48Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, they're they're really stout up front, and
- 30:52Speaker 4: when you got guys up front in the trenches, it
- 30:54Speaker 4: makes just everything easier from the levels back to that. So,
- 30:59Speaker 4: you know, props to really their whole defense. They've they've
- 31:01Speaker 4: got a great group of guys and we just got
- 31:04Speaker 4: to put in the right preparation and make sure we're
- 31:05Speaker 4: ready when we go out there.
- 31:06Speaker 2: How About from a coverage unit perspective? What what what
- 31:09Speaker 2: looks did they present? Say it again from a coverage unit?
- 31:12Speaker 2: From from kick coverage kick coverage?
- 31:15Speaker 4: Yeah, you know we were matchup last game against them.
- 31:19Speaker 4: Uh so it's just a lot of one on one blocks,
- 31:21Speaker 4: you know, front side, you know, they've got a couple
- 31:24Speaker 4: of primary guys that they really just let loose and
- 31:26Speaker 4: send to the football and then you know, other than that.
- 31:30Speaker 4: You you got your responsibilities keeping you outside, shoulder free,
- 31:33Speaker 4: backside stuff. But yeah, I'm sure coach Clay will put
- 31:37Speaker 4: together a great plan for us to go out there
- 31:39Speaker 4: and succeed on that and and you know every other
- 31:41Speaker 4: special teams.
- 31:42Speaker 3: But it's really just all about the work.
- 31:44Speaker 1: So going back to their defense, abdel Carter, big time
- 31:47Speaker 1: first round pick. What does his tape look like to you?
- 31:49Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 31:50Speaker 4: Really good, you know, to be such a high draft
- 31:53Speaker 4: pick out of Penn State and really come in and
- 31:56Speaker 4: do what he's done. Really, that whole rookie class from
- 31:59Speaker 4: the Gens have have really just done a great job.
- 32:02Speaker 4: It's it's fun to watch, fun to compete against. So,
- 32:06Speaker 4: you know, props to those guys and and we're just
- 32:08Speaker 4: getting ready for a great week.
- 32:10Speaker 2: At playing the running back position. What are your impressions
- 32:12Speaker 2: of rookie Camp's Gottabo.
- 32:15Speaker 3: Yeah, he's a stud.
- 32:16Speaker 4: Uh you know, I watched his stuff last year from
- 32:19Speaker 4: ASU and and uh, I don't know anybody that didn't
- 32:22Speaker 4: know his name what he did in the college football playoffs,
- 32:24Speaker 4: so uh, you know, he's a really good talent. Somebody
- 32:29Speaker 4: who's just aggressive is all get out. You know, I
- 32:31Speaker 4: think everyone sees that and and uh, you've got to
- 32:34Speaker 4: have respect for for someone who who plays the game
- 32:37Speaker 4: like that and and has that that aspect of aggressiveness
- 32:41Speaker 4: and uh just going out there physically and and doing
- 32:44Speaker 4: his thing.
- 32:45Speaker 1: So to bounce back. You know, you guys had that
- 32:47Speaker 1: huge win over the Vikings. We saw coach Sirianni's little speech.
- 32:51Speaker 1: You they put a little snipp on the website. Let's
- 32:53Speaker 1: talk about coach Siriani. Your thoughts on him? Now your
- 32:56Speaker 1: second season, this guy's won a lot of games when
- 32:58Speaker 1: the best coaches in Egles history. Your thoughts on Coach Siriani.
- 33:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I've been very blessed with head coaches, you know,
- 33:05Speaker 4: all the way back from high school, Andy Capone, you
- 33:09Speaker 4: know Tim Carson my freshman year, and then go to
- 33:12Speaker 4: college with you know, coach Sweeney, and now I got
- 33:14Speaker 4: coach Siriani. So I've just I've been so blessed with
- 33:18Speaker 4: you know a line of great coaches, great leaders more so,
- 33:21Speaker 4: people that know how to to lead men and not
- 33:24Speaker 4: only develop you on the football field, but off the
- 33:26Speaker 4: football field as well. And you know that's exactly what
- 33:29Speaker 4: coach Sirianni does. He he always finds a way to
- 33:32Speaker 4: to get us motivated, get us, you know, on the
- 33:34Speaker 4: right track, and ultimately you just give us the best
- 33:36Speaker 4: chance to go out there on Sundays and win.
- 33:39Speaker 1: When you say motivated, is it the speech or is
- 33:41Speaker 1: it one on one meeting? One on one? Like what
- 33:43Speaker 1: what does he do to motivate you guys?
- 33:45Speaker 4: Yeah, that's the thing is it's it's different. It's whatever's
- 33:48Speaker 4: needed in the moment, you know, you know, whether it's
- 33:51Speaker 4: the message that he's put together for the team meeting
- 33:54Speaker 4: or just knowing his guys, knowing his players. He just
- 33:58Speaker 4: does a tremendous job of that to get in this portion,
- 34:01Speaker 4: you know, tough detail together, that's that's what we preach
- 34:05Speaker 4: and uh, you know, he really does a great job
- 34:07Speaker 4: of making sure all those are executed.
- 34:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:09Speaker 2: I think one of the more remarkable things just being
- 34:11Speaker 2: around Nick Sirianni for the past four seasons is the
- 34:14Speaker 2: culture that he's established there. It really is something to behold.
- 34:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:20Speaker 4: You know, I think a lot of people, especially at
- 34:24Speaker 4: least me growing up, I was like, oh, I don't
- 34:26Speaker 4: think there's much culture, especially compared to college football and
- 34:29Speaker 4: NFL locker rooms. You know, you got young rookies like
- 34:33Speaker 4: me and then you got guys like BG going into
- 34:36Speaker 4: double digit years with kids, you.
- 34:38Speaker 3: Know, so like, how does how do you mold that into.
- 34:41Speaker 4: A locker room? And coach Sirianni, it's exactly what he does.
- 34:46Speaker 4: He gives us a message, you know, to where we
- 34:49Speaker 4: want to spend time with one another. We want to
- 34:50Speaker 4: get to know each other outside of the football field,
- 34:52Speaker 4: and that makes us go a little bit harder for
- 34:54Speaker 4: one another on the football field.
- 34:55Speaker 2: Did you have any pre draft meetings with him? Did
- 34:57Speaker 2: he challenge you to a game of horse.
- 34:59Speaker 1: Or anything like that?
- 35:00Speaker 4: Yeah? No, Actually I didn't have any pre drafts meetings
- 35:03Speaker 4: with him, but I met coach Singleton throughout the process,
- 35:06Speaker 4: and you know, I knew just just uh from our
- 35:10Speaker 4: meetings that you know, Philly was a place that that
- 35:12Speaker 4: I wanted to be.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Give us an idea of Coach Petullo, the Eagles offensive coordinator,
- 35:16Speaker 1: he calls the place get not a lot of people,
- 35:18Speaker 1: I know he's been with Eagles five years, but not
- 35:20Speaker 1: a lot of people don't give us an idea of
- 35:22Speaker 1: what it's like to work with him.
- 35:23Speaker 4: Yeah, it's it's really awesome, you know, Like I've talked about,
- 35:28Speaker 4: it's really easy to be confident in someone when you
- 35:31Speaker 4: see the preparation that they put in.
- 35:33Speaker 3: Uh.
- 35:34Speaker 4: And and I think that's how I can describe it
- 35:36Speaker 4: is is you know, he.
- 35:37Speaker 3: Works his butt off.
- 35:38Speaker 4: Uh. He watches hours and hours of film to to
- 35:42Speaker 4: you know, put us in the right situation out there
- 35:44Speaker 4: on the field. And you know, ultimately both the players
- 35:48Speaker 4: on both teams are getting paid. Uh. And you know,
- 35:50Speaker 4: we've seen a lot of stuff this year offensively, but
- 35:53Speaker 4: you know, when when you see someone put in that
- 35:55Speaker 4: much preparation, you've got a lot of confidence and and
- 35:57Speaker 4: you know just the output that's gonna occur.
- 36:00Speaker 1: I've got to ask you about the guy on the
- 36:01Speaker 1: other side. One of my favorite coaches, just to hear
- 36:03Speaker 1: him speak, is Vic Fangio, because he puts it all
- 36:06Speaker 1: out there. He's crusty, but he's phenomenal Hall of Fame
- 36:09Speaker 1: type coach. I know you're from offense, but give us
- 36:12Speaker 1: an idea of what it's like to be around Vic Fangil.
- 36:14Speaker 4: Yeah, just got so much respect for him. He's all
- 36:16Speaker 4: about ball, baby, you know. And and he's he's got
- 36:19Speaker 4: that personality where he's going to tell you what he
- 36:22Speaker 4: thinks and and I think that's really good Uh, you know,
- 36:25Speaker 4: so he he's very talented at what he does.
- 36:28Speaker 3: And I've got a lot of respect for him.
- 36:29Speaker 2: For what's it like going up against the Vic fangil
- 36:32Speaker 2: Le defense in practice?
- 36:33Speaker 4: Oh, it's competitive. It's competitives all get out. You know,
- 36:36Speaker 4: we'll have a competitive period. Maybe defense you know, gets
- 36:39Speaker 4: the best of us. We'll hear about it in the
- 36:41Speaker 4: huddle after, you know, the team huddly.
- 36:43Speaker 3: He's he's very confident.
- 36:45Speaker 4: And and you know what he does, and uh, he's
- 36:48Speaker 4: not afraid to speak on it when when he gets
- 36:50Speaker 4: the best of the offense.
- 36:51Speaker 1: By the way, do you talk junk at all? You know,
- 36:53Speaker 1: in practice and specially practice. We'll get the games another time,
- 36:56Speaker 1: but practice, Hey, if you make a big play, hey
- 36:58Speaker 1: you say anything.
- 36:59Speaker 3: The def Now I'm I'm a little more quiet on
- 37:02Speaker 3: the field.
- 37:03Speaker 4: I'd just like to go out there, play ball, be
- 37:05Speaker 4: focused in the moment.
- 37:06Speaker 3: And uh, you know, if if that means.
- 37:09Speaker 4: That I get a little excited and and you know,
- 37:11Speaker 4: say a little something, then then it does.
- 37:13Speaker 3: But I definitely don't hang my hat on it.
- 37:16Speaker 1: For sure.
- 37:16Speaker 2: I think I saw you mix it up with either
- 37:18Speaker 2: Dallas or somebody not necessarily talking, but but you know,
- 37:21Speaker 2: I'm mixing it up in a little bit of a
- 37:22Speaker 2: you know, push it and shoven.
- 37:24Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, man, it's fun. Yeah.
- 37:27Speaker 1: So okay, we're doing Keys of the Game, right. So
- 37:29Speaker 1: two weeks ago, we're all stunned. You guys lost against
- 37:32Speaker 1: the Giants and they were, by the way, they were
- 37:34Speaker 1: whooping it up after the game like this is like
- 37:36Speaker 1: their super Bowl And I get it, you guys with
- 37:37Speaker 1: the Super Bowl champs. So what's gonna take two weeks later?
- 37:40Speaker 1: You just had a big win. It gets Minnesota to
- 37:42Speaker 1: follow it up and beat those Giants.
- 37:44Speaker 4: Yeah, just double down on our preparation. We know that
- 37:47Speaker 4: our coaches are gonna put us in the right spot
- 37:49Speaker 4: to go out there and succeed. And you know, ultimately
- 37:52Speaker 4: it comes down to us doing our due diligence and uh,
- 37:55Speaker 4: you know, putting our best foot forward and and you know,
- 37:58Speaker 4: just honing in on those keys, tough detailed together all week,
- 38:01Speaker 4: making sure that that you know, we're never going to
- 38:03Speaker 4: reach perfection, but we want to get as close to
- 38:05Speaker 4: it as possible throughout our reps and just get great
- 38:08Speaker 4: looks and yeah, just go out there and play free.
- 38:11Speaker 3: On Sunday, I want.
- 38:12Speaker 2: To circle back to Michael Clay will because I've been
- 38:16Speaker 2: really impressed with him over the last number of seasons
- 38:19Speaker 2: and his ability to tap into all of his resources
- 38:22Speaker 2: and leave no stone unturned and find ways to get everybody,
- 38:25Speaker 2: you know, engaged in special teams. What makes him, in
- 38:27Speaker 2: your estimation, so effective as a coach.
- 38:31Speaker 4: I think that I think it's because in his head,
- 38:34Speaker 4: he's still a player, you know. And and I joke
- 38:36Speaker 4: around all the time, you know, me, Ben Van Sumerin
- 38:40Speaker 4: and aj Dillon, you know, we all think that Michael
- 38:42Speaker 4: Clay could be on a fifty three man roster. To
- 38:44Speaker 4: this day, he's running around practice, you know. Just so
- 38:49Speaker 4: I think he in his mind, he's still got that
- 38:52Speaker 4: player's mindset. You know, he asked us for our input
- 38:55Speaker 4: all the time. What do we see, how are we
- 38:57Speaker 4: feeling throughout the game? What changes can he make to to.
- 39:00Speaker 3: Help us out?
- 39:01Speaker 4: So, you know, it's just that that progressive mindset that
- 39:05Speaker 4: you know, anything that pops up, he's gonna be able
- 39:06Speaker 4: to adjust and adapt to put us in the best position.
- 39:11Speaker 1: There's one guy we didn't mention. That's the legend Joe
- 39:14Speaker 1: Panuncio give people. I knew you'd laugh. This guy, Chip
- 39:17Speaker 1: Kelly brought him in. By the way, give us an
- 39:19Speaker 1: idea who Joe Panunci was to you.
- 39:21Speaker 3: Oh, man, he's like a father figure to me.
- 39:23Speaker 4: Honestly, you know, me and Joe P just sit down
- 39:26Speaker 4: and talk all the time. But what what what he
- 39:29Speaker 4: is to the to the program is incredible. To the
- 39:33Speaker 4: special teams, he helps us out a ton. H But
- 39:35Speaker 4: I think you know, everyone knows what I'm talking about
- 39:38Speaker 4: when I say those those Saturday night Joe P talks.
- 39:41Speaker 3: You know, the the night before the game.
- 39:44Speaker 4: He he he always got a great message for us,
- 39:47Speaker 4: and you know, ultimately just a hype man somebody that
- 39:50Speaker 4: that is gonna you know, make sure you're doing your job,
- 39:53Speaker 4: but also cheer you on while you're doing it.
- 39:55Speaker 2: I don't want to forget to ask you about Johnny
- 39:57Speaker 2: Wilson because I know I remember last season you said,
- 39:59Speaker 2: you guys are really close.
- 40:00Speaker 1: How's he doing?
- 40:01Speaker 3: Yeah, he's doing really good.
- 40:03Speaker 4: Actually saw him yesterday we uh we went got some
- 40:06Speaker 4: Jersey Mike subs. But yeah, I know he's doing good
- 40:09Speaker 4: in his recovery. Uh, he's he's got a really good
- 40:12Speaker 4: mindset in terms of, you know, just maximizing his potential
- 40:17Speaker 4: going out there getting healthy so that you know he
- 40:19Speaker 4: can come back and and uh, you know, still cheering
- 40:22Speaker 4: his guys on, you know, checking up on me, still
- 40:25Speaker 4: around the facility, just uh, you know, not as involved
- 40:28Speaker 4: as if he didn't get injured. But he's he's uh,
- 40:31Speaker 4: he's in a really good headspace and doing really good things.

- 43:21Speaker 1: Up, Adam Kaplan, Andrew Cheko and number twenty eight from
- 43:25Speaker 1: the Eagles, Will Shipley all right, man, so Andrew and Will.
- 43:31Speaker 1: It's interesting when we come into a season, you never
- 43:33Speaker 1: know the NFL is so crazy, you just never know.
- 43:36Speaker 1: But Andrew, you and I talk coming into the season
- 43:38Speaker 1: what this team could look like, right, Yeah, I think
- 43:41Speaker 1: it's kind of along the line of I don't pick gay. Okay,
- 43:44Speaker 1: well we might give an overall record, but we knew
- 43:46Speaker 1: the Eagles were gonna be good. But you never know.
- 43:49Speaker 1: The NFL is so crazy. You never look at the
- 43:50Speaker 1: Giants list with Eagles opponent. Sure, one of the craziest
- 43:53Speaker 1: losses I've ever seen. I've covered this missus twenty seven years.
- 43:56Speaker 1: I could't even describe the fourth quarter. But Andrew, you've
- 43:59Speaker 1: seen this Eagles team now, you've been around them since
- 44:00Speaker 1: Nick Sirianni got here. What makes Nick Sirianni so unique.
- 44:05Speaker 2: I think and Will can certainly attest to this. His
- 44:08Speaker 2: ability to relate to his players and be consistent every
- 44:11Speaker 2: day with his messaging, and just be really diligent in
- 44:15Speaker 2: the preparation, not feed into anything that's going on outside,
- 44:18Speaker 2: and focus on everything internally and what they can do
- 44:21Speaker 2: moving forward to best put them in position to win
- 44:25Speaker 2: each and every week. And if you think back to
- 44:27Speaker 2: almost every game that the Eagles have played under Nick Sirianni,
- 44:31Speaker 2: they're ready to go each and every week. There there's
- 44:34Speaker 2: never that that lower, that lapse, and I think that
- 44:36Speaker 2: that is a testament to his messaging and how that
- 44:39Speaker 2: resonates within the locker room so will.
- 44:41Speaker 1: What's what I find interesting is I talk to a
- 44:43Speaker 1: coach who Nick worked with with the Cults and said, Hey,
- 44:47Speaker 1: what can you tell me about this guy? He goes,
- 44:49Speaker 1: he's big on connecting and go he goes, let them
- 44:53Speaker 1: tell you what that means and report back to what
- 44:56Speaker 1: you hear. It's very unique, like usually coaches want to
- 44:59Speaker 1: keep their since I know, like you don't, you're not
- 45:01Speaker 1: gonna be best friends with a coach. But what does
- 45:02Speaker 1: connecting mean to you?
- 45:04Speaker 3: Yeah? I think it's just uh kind of like I
- 45:07Speaker 3: alluded to earlier.
- 45:08Speaker 4: Once you're able to connect with somebody, you care about them,
- 45:10Speaker 4: and then that makes you do a little bit more
- 45:13Speaker 4: for them on the back end, whether it's you know,
- 45:15Speaker 4: football relationships a football locker room, or you know, your.
- 45:18Speaker 3: Relationships outside of football.
- 45:21Speaker 4: You know, when you connect with someone, you care for
- 45:23Speaker 4: them and you'll do a little bit more for them.
- 45:25Speaker 2: What's the biggest lesson that you learned after your rookie
- 45:28Speaker 2: season that you applied going into year two.
- 45:32Speaker 3: I would just say.
- 45:34Speaker 4: What it's like to practice like a pro, and it's
- 45:38Speaker 4: something that you know, I'm still continuing to get down.
- 45:41Speaker 4: But you know, like I said, being so blessed to
- 45:43Speaker 4: have Saquan and Kenny in front of me last year,
- 45:46Speaker 4: both of those guys are pros in and out. You
- 45:49Speaker 4: know how they practice their preparation leading up to Sunday.
- 45:52Speaker 3: So it's I think that's where I made the biggest.
- 45:55Speaker 4: Jump from year one to year two and the things
- 45:58Speaker 4: that I learned and I was able to carry those over,
- 46:00Speaker 4: but something I'm continuing to to get better and better at. Well.
- 46:03Speaker 1: I wanted to ask you about your growing up. Did
- 46:06Speaker 1: you always play running back and be if you did,
- 46:09Speaker 1: or when you started to do it full time, anyone
- 46:11Speaker 1: you pad in your game after, anyone you really followed
- 46:13Speaker 1: as a kid.
- 46:14Speaker 4: Uh. Yeah, I really played running back from the first
- 46:18Speaker 4: time I can remember. I always did offense and defense,
- 46:21Speaker 4: you know, even all the way through high school, I
- 46:22Speaker 4: played safety as.
- 46:23Speaker 3: Well as running back.
- 46:25Speaker 4: But I always love scoring touchdowns and I feel like
- 46:28Speaker 4: at the running back position, you know that that gave
- 46:30Speaker 4: me the best chance to do that, especially early on.
- 46:33Speaker 4: So yeah, it's just something that that I picked up
- 46:37Speaker 4: real early.
- 46:38Speaker 2: Uh yeah, how about football, IQ, Will we talked about
- 46:41Speaker 2: that at training camp. One thing that that really stuck
- 46:45Speaker 2: with me talking to you every week last year, it
- 46:48Speaker 2: is your highly highly you know, exceptional football IQ. Where
- 46:52Speaker 2: does that stem from? And how did you go about
- 46:54Speaker 2: honing in on that?
- 46:55Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 46:55Speaker 4: Just all the great coaches that I've had, And you know,
- 46:58Speaker 4: there's always a degree of want to. You know, someone's
- 47:02Speaker 4: got to want to understand it to really put in
- 47:05Speaker 4: the time. And you know that's something that I've done
- 47:07Speaker 4: just because I love it, but I've also had such
- 47:09Speaker 4: great guides, uh to to be able to know how
- 47:12Speaker 4: to watch film, how to study somebody and and you know,
- 47:16Speaker 4: pick up the right clues, be looking at the right things.
- 47:19Speaker 4: It's just something that you got to put in the work,
- 47:22Speaker 4: just like anything else.
- 47:23Speaker 3: So yeah, I definitely take pride in it.
- 47:24Speaker 4: And you know, I think that it's something I.
- 47:28Speaker 3: Hang my hat on.
- 47:29Speaker 4: But just always continuing to grow and progress and find
- 47:32Speaker 4: new ways to you know, give myself an advantage out there. Yeah.
- 47:35Speaker 2: I think the best example for that is you mentioned
- 47:37Speaker 2: a week one last season personal protector on punt. I
- 47:40Speaker 2: have to imagine you didn't have any experience playing that
- 47:42Speaker 2: position at Clemson.
- 47:44Speaker 3: Oh yeah, did you Yeah, No, you're you're right.
- 47:46Speaker 4: I didn't play any special teams at Clemson except for
- 47:49Speaker 4: kick returner, you know, throughout my my whole career there,
- 47:52Speaker 4: so it was something new for me. But they put
- 47:55Speaker 4: me in positions leading up to to week one to
- 47:58Speaker 4: get me ready for that, and it's something that.
- 48:00Speaker 3: I just had to kind of dive into.
- 48:02Speaker 4: Uh, you know, watching the opposing team, whoever we were
- 48:06Speaker 4: playing that week, what rushes they're sending, are they heavy
- 48:09Speaker 4: eight seven six box?
- 48:11Speaker 3: You know, just different things that you look at.
- 48:13Speaker 4: And coach Clay and TB, coach you know, Joe p
- 48:16Speaker 4: they all did a great job of helping me learn
- 48:19Speaker 4: how to study, you know, those behaviors myself and and
- 48:22Speaker 4: pick it up as quickly as as I did.
- 48:24Speaker 2: Communications obviously key there. But did you feel comfortable right
- 48:27Speaker 2: out of the gate being a vocal guy?
- 48:29Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 48:30Speaker 4: You know, I think with that position at PP, it's
- 48:33Speaker 4: it's something where I feel like, uh, you know, I've
- 48:38Speaker 4: got to take lead. You know, I'm obviously the guy
- 48:40Speaker 4: that's calling the formation and the snap count, so just
- 48:44Speaker 4: making sure that I'm putting those guys in front of
- 48:45Speaker 4: me in the right position, because what I'm calling out is.
- 48:48Speaker 3: Where they're going to go, where their eyes are going
- 48:51Speaker 3: to start.
- 48:51Speaker 4: So you know, definitely just taking that that leadership role
- 48:54Speaker 4: and being able to make sure that you know, it
- 48:57Speaker 4: all goes smoothly.
- 48:59Speaker 1: Well, I got to ask you a quest. One of
- 49:01Speaker 1: the best games we've seen from Eagles receiver was last week,
- 49:03Speaker 1: of course, the Slim Reaper Davante Smith. Before we get
- 49:07Speaker 1: even into that game, what he did, which is incredible,
- 49:10Speaker 1: What does this guy look like in practice to you?
- 49:13Speaker 4: I mean, he does the same things sometimes even crazier
- 49:17Speaker 4: things in practice really than he does in the game.
- 49:19Speaker 4: Wo you know, his his pedigree, what he's been able
- 49:23Speaker 4: to accomplish throughout his football career, I think just goes
- 49:27Speaker 4: to show the type of football player and the type
- 49:29Speaker 4: of person he is, how hard he's worked for it.
- 49:32Speaker 4: And you know, the product that he puts out there
- 49:33Speaker 4: on Sunday is what we see throughout the week and
- 49:37Speaker 4: even better throughout the week.
- 49:38Speaker 3: So you know, it's it's it's.
- 49:40Speaker 4: A blessing to be his teammate and just see some
- 49:43Speaker 4: of the extraordinary things that that he does.
- 49:46Speaker 2: It sounds like nothing he does surprises you even that
- 49:48Speaker 2: one hundred and eighty three yard output seventy nine yard touchdown.
- 49:52Speaker 2: I mean, it just seems to come natural for him.
- 49:54Speaker 2: And he bounces back from every big hit.
- 49:56Speaker 3: That's it.
- 49:57Speaker 4: Yes, that's That's one of the craziest things, is uh.
- 50:00Speaker 3: You know he makes these catches.
- 50:01Speaker 4: I think about the one against Minnesota going across the
- 50:05Speaker 4: middle with Harrison Smith right in front of his face, like.
- 50:08Speaker 3: He's just so focused on the football.
- 50:10Speaker 4: And and making sure that he makes that catch that
- 50:13Speaker 4: he he doesn't care what how hard he gets hit
- 50:16Speaker 4: or or if his body gets flipped you know, three
- 50:18Speaker 4: sixty backflip style.
- 50:20Speaker 3: He's he's gonna make the catch.
- 50:22Speaker 4: And you know that's the confidence that everybody has in
- 50:24Speaker 4: him because of the work he puts in.
- 50:26Speaker 1: All Right, So we got to talk about one player,
- 50:28Speaker 1: number one, the quarterback Jalen Hurts. So he has a
- 50:30Speaker 1: game like the second half, the players were saying after
- 50:33Speaker 1: the game, he had that look when you're in the zone,
- 50:36Speaker 1: give us an idea of what it's like to play
- 50:37Speaker 1: around Jalen Hurts.
- 50:39Speaker 4: Yeah, he's a he's a winner man, and and you
- 50:41Speaker 4: know that's what he breeds within the culture that that
- 50:44Speaker 4: he creates on this team as well. You know, he's
- 50:46Speaker 4: got a big leadership role and uh, you know he
- 50:49Speaker 4: always breaks it down on win and and you know
- 50:51Speaker 4: that's that's something that as a football team we love doing.
- 50:55Speaker 4: You know, everyone's happier, everything's going better when you're winning.
- 50:58Speaker 4: And we also in understand that there's a lot of
- 51:01Speaker 4: sacrifice that goes into that. And you know that's kind
- 51:04Speaker 4: of just who Jalen is is is sacrificing, uh and
- 51:09Speaker 4: and putting in the work leadership by example, everything extra
- 51:12Speaker 4: that he does shows us all how much you know,
- 51:15Speaker 4: he cares about winning, and and we've got uh no
- 51:18Speaker 4: better choice but to follow around and and you know
- 51:22Speaker 4: let him lead us there.
- 51:23Speaker 2: I always get the sense, regardless of what the scoreboard
- 51:26Speaker 2: may say, that he just instills an inherent belief within
- 51:29Speaker 2: the offense and really everyone on the team.
- 51:31Speaker 1: Is that accurate?
- 51:32Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, I don't think I could have put it
- 51:34Speaker 4: better myself. I mean that's uh, that's really a great definition.
- 51:38Speaker 4: And and you know he instills it in himself so
- 51:41Speaker 4: that everybody else can see that.
- 51:42Speaker 3: And like I said, we just follow.
- 51:44Speaker 1: Well one more player I actually it's the guy who
- 51:46Speaker 1: backs him up the Mormon missile. As Jordan Mylotta calls
- 51:48Speaker 1: him Tanner McKee. He's like a legend, but it doesn't
- 51:52Speaker 1: play a lot. Give us an idea of what Tanner
- 51:53Speaker 1: McKee looks like in practice.
- 51:55Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, he's uh exactly what y'all say. See
- 52:00Speaker 4: in the preseason games where he just goes crazy.
- 52:03Speaker 3: You know that that means, yeah, that's what works as well. Yeah,
- 52:07Speaker 3: he can really throw the football.
- 52:08Speaker 4: And you know, you talk about football at Q, that
- 52:10Speaker 4: guy is really smart. You know, I get a lot
- 52:12Speaker 4: of reps with him throughout practice. So, uh, just the
- 52:16Speaker 4: way he communicates in the huddle, and you know takes
- 52:19Speaker 4: control as well, and and just you know, standing next
- 52:23Speaker 4: to him in the backfield, you feel confident that something
- 52:25Speaker 4: the good's gonna happen. Uh, And you know he's a great,
- 52:29Speaker 4: great football player.
- 52:31Speaker 2: Is there anything that you do in terms of past catching,
- 52:34Speaker 2: like I catches three hundred and fifty balls a day.
- 52:36Speaker 2: I saw something like that. Is there anything that you
- 52:38Speaker 2: do to to really fixate on that aspect of your game?
- 52:42Speaker 4: Yeah, I just hit jugs every time we go out
- 52:44Speaker 4: there for practice, you know, five hundred shots after right before.
- 52:48Speaker 4: You know, so for me, it could be thirteen catches,
- 52:52Speaker 4: it could be fifty, it could be one hundred, but
- 52:55Speaker 4: you know, I make sure to get him in so
- 52:57Speaker 4: you know, when those opportunities come to me, I'm gonna
- 52:59Speaker 4: be ready for him.
- 53:00Speaker 2: How about from a route running perspective, anything in the
- 53:02Speaker 2: off season that you do to refine that area or
- 53:05Speaker 2: really develop it even further.
- 53:07Speaker 4: Yeah, just a different You know guys that I work
- 53:10Speaker 4: with Tony Vallani out in South Florida, that's where I
- 53:13Speaker 4: do most xp Yeah, and you know, you look at
- 53:16Speaker 4: the people that he's trained, the wide receivers, running backs,
- 53:20Speaker 4: you know, mark Ingram and Klumbole and the whole list
- 53:23Speaker 4: of guys, and you know, he helps me out with
- 53:26Speaker 4: being versatile, showing me how to run routes and then
- 53:29Speaker 4: also taking me through running back drills.
- 53:31Speaker 3: And he does a great job.
- 53:33Speaker 1: All Right, that's the voice of number twenty eight. Well, Shipley,
- 53:35Speaker 1: We thank will so much for coming here to Chickie
- 53:38Speaker 1: and Pete and Roosevelt Boulevard and Philly and well good
- 53:41Speaker 1: luck this week against the Giants.
- 53:42Speaker 3: Thank you all so much for having me. I appreciate y'all.
- 53:44Speaker 1: All Right, it's Adam Kaplan, It's Andrew de Checo. Next
- 53:46Speaker 1: week it's Andrew and Jeff Mosher from Chicky and Pete
- 53:50Speaker 1: and Marlton, New Jersey. We'll see you then. Thanks for listening.
