- 0:30Speaker 1: welcoming you tonight to this podcast from Carmel, California. Sandra
- 0:35Speaker 1: Mason from our season of Golden Bachelor. How are you
- 0:40Speaker 1: doing this evening, Sondra?
- 0:41Speaker 2: I am doing great for being midnight when it says
- 0:47Speaker 2: nine o'clock here.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Well, I heard Sandra's tired, but that's okay. So I
- 0:53Speaker 1: am on with Susan Knowles. We have the Golden Bachelor podcast.
- 0:59Speaker 1: It's under Bachelor Happy Hour and it's Golden Hour, and
- 1:01Speaker 1: I hope you all will tune in. But tonight this
- 1:04Speaker 1: is about all things love. So Sandra, I haven't seen
- 1:08Speaker 1: you in a while, and Part two, you may or
- 1:12Speaker 1: may not know, is all about finding love again. So
- 1:16Speaker 1: let's start back at the beginning. Tell me about your
- 1:21Speaker 1: first love, your family, tell me how we got to
- 1:23Speaker 1: where we are, because this podcast is all about finding
- 1:27Speaker 1: love again. And to get that, we need to know
- 1:30Speaker 1: where you came from.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Okay, first love as in when I was a young
- 1:34Speaker 2: young gul.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Well you know, maybe your husband, the father, your kids,
- 1:38Speaker 1: wherever you want to start. USh.
- 1:39Speaker 2: God, I got married in nineteen sixty eight. Do the math.
- 1:45Speaker 2: It's about one hundred years ago. I have two daughters.
- 1:49Speaker 2: And that was love. We were in college. Boy, that
- 1:55Speaker 2: takes me back. We were in college and got married
- 1:58Speaker 2: before I graduated. He had graduated.
- 2:02Speaker 1: So yeah, and how old are your kids now?
- 2:06Speaker 2: Fifty two and almost forty?
- 2:08Speaker 1: Wow?
- 2:08Speaker 2: How old are you? Seventy six and a half.
- 2:12Speaker 1: And I count them, So you're going to be soon
- 2:15Speaker 1: be seventy seven in July. All right, well, you know,
- 2:18Speaker 1: happy half birthday there, Thank you, ma'am. Okay, so tell
- 2:22Speaker 1: me you know you've had an amazing week. I'm just
- 2:26Speaker 1: going to jump in here. Your photograph with c K,
- 2:33Speaker 1: that is Charles K went viral. Tell me about that, Like,
- 2:39Speaker 1: did you have any idea that it would go viral?
- 2:42Speaker 1: What were you thinking?
- 2:44Speaker 2: No, I didn't. We were just having fun and taking
- 2:48Speaker 2: pictures and kind of yacking it up. And we were
- 2:53Speaker 2: at the restaurant and folks were saying, yeah, let us
- 2:56Speaker 2: take the pictures for you, because in two old people
- 2:59Speaker 2: trying to figure out how to hold cant the phone
- 3:01Speaker 2: up high and get the light. And so are you
- 3:06Speaker 2: talking to him?
- 3:07Speaker 1: Are you dating? Him. Come on, give us the school
- 3:09Speaker 1: that's going on.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Okay, we lived three thousand miles apart, so it's not
- 3:12Speaker 2: exactly dating. We're kind of like phone piles or pin pals.
- 3:17Speaker 2: So but unfortunately, well unfortunately we do live that far apart.
- 3:23Speaker 2: And the second unfortunately is that he has an opportunity.
- 3:28Speaker 2: His company is sending him to Cape Town, South Africa shortly.
- 3:32Speaker 2: I guess his first trip there will be March.
- 3:35Speaker 1: So there's that makes flirting long distance in issue.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a brand new talent. I'll have to develop something.
- 3:44Speaker 1: So wait, are you thinking like you flirting? Are you interested?
- 3:48Speaker 1: Tell me what you're thinking?
- 3:49Speaker 2: Oh, I'm interested. I don't know if he is or not.
- 3:52Speaker 2: I can't speak for him, but as a matter of fact,
- 3:54Speaker 2: I was telling him that when it was Jones Limo night,
- 4:00Speaker 2: he was the one gentleman that I honed in on
- 4:03Speaker 2: when he walked out of the limo. Really, yeah, he
- 4:06Speaker 2: was the one, and just coincidentally, I've met it.
- 4:08Speaker 1: So wait, let me he lives in right now, He
- 4:11Speaker 1: lives in California and you live in Atlanta. So was
- 4:13Speaker 1: he there?
- 4:14Speaker 2: On? Where were you?
- 4:15Speaker 1: Where was the where were those pictures taken?
- 4:17Speaker 2: Oh? Oh, I came out here years for the Rose
- 4:21Speaker 2: Bowl Parade, and he and I had been talking, uh
- 4:25Speaker 2: chatting on the phone. Matter of fact, he had gone
- 4:27Speaker 2: to Atlanta for business and we were supposed to have
- 4:30Speaker 2: dinner one evening and I wound up in the hospital. Yeah,
- 4:34Speaker 2: this was supposed uh ton selectomy.
- 4:37Speaker 1: And how are you feeling now?
- 4:40Speaker 2: I'm a lot better?
- 4:41Speaker 1: Okay, good. We're glad to hear that.
- 4:43Speaker 2: I haven't had a cold and I haven't had a
- 4:45Speaker 2: throw you know what.
- 4:46Speaker 1: I've had your cold, bronchitis, I've had it all. But
- 4:49Speaker 1: I'm good now. So hold on, So you came out here,
- 4:52Speaker 1: did you reach out to him to have dinner?
- 4:55Speaker 2: Well, because I owed him. I thought I owed him
- 4:58Speaker 2: from when I owed stood him up in Atlanta and intantly.
- 5:03Speaker 2: But so I told him I was coming up for
- 5:05Speaker 2: the parade, and we agreed to meet and got to dinner.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Okay, and was it everything? I mean, come on, give.
- 5:11Speaker 2: We had great conversation. He's he's he's funny. We were
- 5:15Speaker 2: funny together. We just we had just great conversation, telling
- 5:20Speaker 2: jokes and and just learning who each other is. Uh,
- 5:25Speaker 2: learning about his past and shared mine with him, and
- 5:30Speaker 2: we just yucked it up. It was just a lot
- 5:32Speaker 2: of fun.
- 5:33Speaker 1: I can't tell. I can't tell if it's if he's
- 5:36Speaker 1: the friend zone.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Well, yeah, he would have to be. Again, we're three
- 5:41Speaker 2: thousand miles so.
- 5:41Speaker 1: I mean, I'll travel anywhere for love, Saunders say, you know, well.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Okay, I won't. I don't think he would either. You
- 5:49Speaker 2: know he's got Hey, I always look at it this wave.
- 5:53Speaker 2: I'm interested in the guy. Other people are interested in
- 5:55Speaker 2: that same guy. So it's not like I can.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Don't you think you're I mean, come on, aren't you
- 6:00Speaker 1: first in line?
- 6:02Speaker 2: I don't know. I haven't asked, all right.
- 6:04Speaker 1: So so for those of you who don't know, we're
- 6:07Speaker 1: all out here having a fabulous weekend in Carmel, and
- 6:11Speaker 1: we're here for the Pebble Beach pro am, and I
- 6:17Speaker 1: do I need to tell you how many available men
- 6:19Speaker 1: are going to be on that golf course.
- 6:22Speaker 2: I have no idea.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Tell me there's gonna be a lot. Okay, So my
- 6:25Speaker 1: question for you is, what do you think? Are you
- 6:29Speaker 1: going to be flirting with some other guys you're gonna
- 6:30Speaker 1: be looking? Are you gonna because you know c K
- 6:33Speaker 1: is here?
- 6:34Speaker 2: Yes? Yes? Have you seen him?
- 6:35Speaker 1: Man? I know?
- 6:36Speaker 2: Well, I know we're supposed to have a podcast tomorrow.
- 6:38Speaker 2: So have I seen him?
- 6:40Speaker 1: No?
- 6:40Speaker 2: I just walked in.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Wait, what give me the school? I want the scoop, Sondra,
- 6:44Speaker 1: what's the scoop going to be on the podcast?
- 6:46Speaker 2: I have no idea?
- 6:49Speaker 1: Nope? Are you going? Are you going to ask him out?
- 6:51Speaker 1: You're going to try to like be his date while
- 6:53Speaker 1: you're here?
- 6:54Speaker 2: Come on, Kathy, you're asking me things I haven't even
- 6:57Speaker 2: thought about. I don't I don't know what to expect
- 6:59Speaker 2: to this entire weekend. So I know that some of
- 7:03Speaker 2: his castmates will be there, so he gets to reunite
- 7:06Speaker 2: with the guys.
- 7:07Speaker 1: It's a golden reunion. Okay, Okay, so let me ask
- 7:20Speaker 1: you something. Are you dating at all? Other guys? Spell
- 7:28Speaker 1: you know, I'm going to ask.
- 7:29Speaker 2: A gentleman in my local area that I've been talking with,
- 7:35Speaker 2: just talking and and and we've we've gone to dinner
- 7:38Speaker 2: a couple of times, and uh, I met a buddy
- 7:41Speaker 2: of his. So that's that's dating. That's prelim dating, I think, Sondra.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Help you know me? Well, you know I'm not letting
- 7:49Speaker 1: that one go. Are we kissing? Are we holding?
- 7:52Speaker 2: We have kissed?
- 7:53Speaker 1: So this is more than just a one time date.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Oh yeah, thus far, we've had two I call call
- 7:59Speaker 2: it to a half dates.
- 8:00Speaker 1: So, K, you're out in the cold, buddy.
- 8:02Speaker 2: I'm just gonna Oh no, no, no, don't say that.
- 8:05Speaker 2: I'd be willing to bet mister has had since I've
- 8:08Speaker 2: met him, he's had several dates. He's a working guy too,
- 8:12Speaker 2: so his time maybe someone limited. I'm retired, so I
- 8:15Speaker 2: can I'm a little more flexible.
- 8:18Speaker 1: So are you dating more than one guy?
- 8:19Speaker 2: No?
- 8:19Speaker 1: Not right now? Are you a one guy girl? Not necessarily,
- 8:24Speaker 1: but there's only one guy right now, right now, and
- 8:26Speaker 1: he lives in Atlanta.
- 8:27Speaker 2: He lives in the Atlanta area.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Okay, So you know you and I are both in
- 8:31Speaker 1: the dating world now. And it's a different world, right,
- 8:35Speaker 1: I mean tell me, I can't remember. Are you divorced, right? Yes, divorced? Okay,
- 8:40Speaker 1: and you know my husband passed away, so it's a
- 8:43Speaker 1: little bit different. How do your kids feel about you dating?
- 8:46Speaker 2: Oh, they're excited for me, just like I've said before.
- 8:51Speaker 2: They are my cheerleaders. When I was on the Golden Batch,
- 8:54Speaker 2: they were my cheerleaders, and finding a guy is something
- 8:58Speaker 2: they want for me, just like I want that for them.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, Well are your kids with Do they have partners?
- 9:06Speaker 2: Actually? Yes, you know one got married, Yeah, I remember that.
- 9:08Speaker 2: The other one is dating a gentleman. So yeah, they're
- 9:11Speaker 2: doing great.
- 9:12Speaker 1: So how do they feel like my kids? I'll be
- 9:15Speaker 1: honest with you. My kids don't like it when they
- 9:18Speaker 1: see me with the guy kissing them, holding hands PDA.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Uh uh kids that you'd have to ask them.
- 9:24Speaker 2: But they want you to be a virgin till you die.
- 9:26Speaker 1: I think the virgin things sailed three children ago. Well, no,
- 9:30Speaker 1: you know what I mean, But no, I just think
- 9:33Speaker 1: it makes them uncomfortable. Your kids, how do you feel
- 9:36Speaker 1: about PDA? Like, are you going to hold hands in public?
- 9:38Speaker 1: Kids in public?
- 9:40Speaker 2: Yeah, if it comes to that, absolutely, I don't. I
- 9:42Speaker 2: don't have a problem with that at all. And I
- 9:44Speaker 2: don't think they would either. Yeah, they might. They might
- 9:49Speaker 2: kid my daughters.
- 9:50Speaker 1: So are you looking for serious the serious next guy?
- 9:53Speaker 2: I would think?
- 9:53Speaker 1: So?
- 9:53Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 9:54Speaker 1: Really, are you ready to get like commit?
- 9:57Speaker 2: Oh? If it's the right man, I will commit. Now.
- 10:00Speaker 2: I'm not signing papers, that's what you're asking.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Oh wait, what does that mean?
- 10:03Speaker 2: It means I'm not getting married?
- 10:05Speaker 1: Oh? Well, I mean unless you want more children at
- 10:08Speaker 1: seventy six what.
- 10:09Speaker 2: We could practice?
- 10:10Speaker 1: But yeah, So okay, so you're out here, you're gonna go?
- 10:15Speaker 1: Are you gonna be looking for guys out here?
- 10:17Speaker 2: I I hadn't thought about it. So what I hadn't
- 10:21Speaker 2: I didn't know what to expect.
- 10:22Speaker 1: I'm not okay, let me let me break the down.
- 10:25Speaker 2: You break it down, girlfriend.
- 10:26Speaker 1: There is going to be a pebblebeat pro am golf tournament.
- 10:32Speaker 1: There's gonna be a lot of golfers. There's gonna be
- 10:34Speaker 1: a lot of people watching the golfers. Men love golf. Yes,
- 10:39Speaker 1: I know, there's can be a lot of men out there. Okay,
- 10:41Speaker 1: are you gonna be searching? Do I have to fight you?
- 10:44Speaker 1: Do I have to fight you? No?
- 10:45Speaker 2: Of course not. You know, here's the thing. I'm not
- 10:48Speaker 2: a flirter. I'm really not.
- 10:50Speaker 1: I don't believe that for one minute.
- 10:53Speaker 2: I think the most effective way to approach men or
- 10:59Speaker 2: is just to talk, just to talk and be myself.
- 11:01Speaker 2: I'm the whole flirting thing. My god, I'm seventy six
- 11:03Speaker 2: years old at the I'm not flirting.
- 11:06Speaker 1: So how do you meet guys? I mean, what do
- 11:07Speaker 1: you do? You go up and talk to him? Talk?
- 11:10Speaker 2: Yeah, talk, about.
- 11:11Speaker 1: But here's the thing I do Part two. Right, We've
- 11:15Speaker 1: we've both been married before. We're looking for part two.
- 11:19Speaker 1: We're looking for our second happiness, right, second partner, second
- 11:25Speaker 1: person to spend our life with.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Right, well, could have been more than that. But okay,
- 11:31Speaker 2: I mean I've dated since right divorce. But no.
- 11:34Speaker 1: But I'm saying we're looking for that that person.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Okay, are you?
- 11:38Speaker 1: I mean I am.
- 11:39Speaker 2: I guess I'm looking. I'm not, see Kathy, I don't.
- 11:45Speaker 2: I'm not sure how to express this. I'm not out
- 11:47Speaker 2: looking and searching for a guy. It happens organically. I
- 11:51Speaker 2: bump into men, I meet men, friends, introduced me to guys.
- 11:55Speaker 2: But to say I'm out there with you know my
- 11:57Speaker 2: antenna up? No? No?
- 12:00Speaker 1: So okay, well, I think that's very fair. I mean,
- 12:04Speaker 1: you know me, I always say, guys aren't going to
- 12:06Speaker 1: come and knock on your door. You have to be
- 12:08Speaker 1: out there.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Let me be out there, out and about.
- 12:10Speaker 1: So are you good? If you're I mean, I have
- 12:13Speaker 1: to be honest. I would like to find that guy
- 12:17Speaker 1: to have my part two with, and I think you
- 12:19Speaker 1: would too. But it takes a lot of work.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Okay, I don't, I wouldn't call it work. I just
- 12:25Speaker 2: I don't know. Effort, effort, Okay, effort In other words,
- 12:29Speaker 2: like you said, you can't sit at home and expect
- 12:31Speaker 2: someone to knock on the door. You have to be
- 12:32Speaker 2: out and about, you have to be Do you.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Know what I would do right now to have someone
- 12:36Speaker 1: knock on the door, just on this podcast here, that
- 12:39Speaker 1: knock and say, wow, he's here. I don't think it's happening.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Just it just passed my mind for a moment there.
- 12:46Speaker 1: But you know, I think I think a lot of
- 12:49Speaker 1: people thought that, you know, we would have a lot
- 12:54Speaker 1: of guys from jone season, uh, you know, hooking up
- 12:59Speaker 1: with us. I think the difference. I actually I was
- 13:02Speaker 1: going to ask you this. I think that I've talked
- 13:06Speaker 1: to a lot of the guys from Jones season and
- 13:08Speaker 1: they've had a lot of women reach out to them.
- 13:11Speaker 2: I'm not surprised at all.
- 13:13Speaker 1: I'm not either. Did you have a lot of guys
- 13:15Speaker 1: reach out to you on DMS when you came off
- 13:17Speaker 1: the show.
- 13:18Speaker 2: I'm not going to I don't think a lot is
- 13:22Speaker 2: an appropriate word. I've had several, but I don't know
- 13:24Speaker 2: what that's on.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Did you date any of them?
- 13:26Speaker 2: No, I've had converse phone conversations. The problem, Well, I
- 13:32Speaker 2: don't know if it's a problem. The gentlemen who have
- 13:35Speaker 2: reached out to me again are long distance from where
- 13:37Speaker 2: I am.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Are you willing to relocate?
- 13:40Speaker 2: Well, I don't know. It depends on who it is
- 13:42Speaker 2: and what the other circumstances in life. It's just in
- 13:48Speaker 2: my mind, it's difficult to date. It's difficult to get
- 13:50Speaker 2: to know someone. It's difficult to be spontaneous when someone
- 13:53Speaker 2: lives a plane ride away?
- 13:55Speaker 1: Okay, but wait, would you pick up? And I think
- 13:59Speaker 1: the difference between now and part two for me is
- 14:04Speaker 1: I meet the guy I'm interested in. He says, Hey,
- 14:07Speaker 1: you know, let me buy a ticket. Let's meet in London.
- 14:10Speaker 1: I'm going, okay, are you?
- 14:13Speaker 2: It depends on It depends on who he is.
- 14:17Speaker 1: What I mean, if I have to be interested.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Right, yeah, if it's the right guy, I might do that.
- 14:23Speaker 2: And I've had a guy say to me whom I
- 14:27Speaker 2: really never met, just had half of a conversation with,
- 14:30Speaker 2: and he says, I want you to come out and
- 14:32Speaker 2: see you live in Chicago. I want you to come
- 14:34Speaker 2: see me and I'll pay your way. And how's that?
- 14:37Speaker 2: And I said, well, first of all, I can pay
- 14:39Speaker 2: my own way. If I'm going to come see you,
- 14:41Speaker 2: I'm paying my own way. And two, I gave him
- 14:44Speaker 2: the daughter test. Do you have a daughter? He said yes.
- 14:47Speaker 2: I said, if some man she never met said to her,
- 14:51Speaker 2: I'll pay your way, come see me, what would you
- 14:53Speaker 2: tell your daughter? And it stopped him and he said,
- 14:57Speaker 2: I understand. So I said, so look, if you want
- 15:00Speaker 2: to meet me, you come my way. You make that
- 15:03Speaker 2: effort first. I'm not gonna hop a plane come see
- 15:06Speaker 2: you just because you paid for it.
- 15:07Speaker 1: And folks, therein lies the difference. If c K goes
- 15:12Speaker 1: to South Africa and asks me to come, I'm on
- 15:15Speaker 1: the next plane.
- 15:16Speaker 2: But see, I've already mete K. I've met him. We've
- 15:19Speaker 2: had we've spent time together. We've on the phone, we've
- 15:22Speaker 2: had nose to nose.
- 15:23Speaker 1: So I, I wait, did you kiss him?
- 15:27Speaker 2: We kissed?
- 15:28Speaker 1: Is he a good kisser?
- 15:29Speaker 2: I think so. I think I think we matched well
- 15:32Speaker 2: in that department.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Listen to her. I'm telling you, getting stuff out of you,
- 15:37Speaker 1: Sundra's like pulling teeth.
- 15:38Speaker 2: I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
- 15:40Speaker 1: You know.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Here's the thing, Kathy, I'm a very pragmatic person, very practical,
- 15:45Speaker 2: very pragmatic. So I'm not one who can read between
- 15:50Speaker 2: the lines very well.
- 15:51Speaker 1: You're not going to jump off a cliff if if
- 15:53Speaker 1: you think I could be loved, you're not going to
- 15:55Speaker 1: take the risk.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Well yeah, well that's what are you asking me.
- 16:00Speaker 1: I guess what I'm saying is you know, you see
- 16:03Speaker 1: you're pragmatic. Sometimes love, especially at our age, is just
- 16:07Speaker 1: jumping off a cliff saying I don't know, let's see
- 16:09Speaker 1: where it goes.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Okay, So are you talking about once you're in love
- 16:13Speaker 2: or getting toward love? I'm away? At what point are
- 16:17Speaker 2: you talking about.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Saying I meet somebody and I think, well, maybe I'm
- 16:23Speaker 1: interested just taking the risk. It's you know, it's not
- 16:27Speaker 1: like you and I are gonna raise a family, have children,
- 16:32Speaker 1: So why not take a risk? You're retired? Why not?
- 16:35Speaker 2: Well, I can take a risk, but I've got to
- 16:37Speaker 2: get to know someone I've got. There's got to be
- 16:40Speaker 2: some comfort level there that he is age appropriate, that
- 16:44Speaker 2: he has relationships, the family relationships that he has, that
- 16:49Speaker 2: he's financially stable. There are things that I that have
- 16:52Speaker 2: to be in place before I jump off a cliff. Okay,
- 16:56Speaker 2: So because I'm too practical.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I was just going to say, that's that's very
- 17:00Speaker 1: that's not jumping off a cliff. That's getting all the
- 17:02Speaker 1: data walking step by stepped to the cliff, and which
- 17:06Speaker 1: is fine too, which is fine to Well, you know what.
- 17:09Speaker 1: It seems to have worked well for you so far.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Are you ready for the golf tournament tomorrow?
- 17:23Speaker 2: I think so. Yeah, it should be fun.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Are you a golfer? I used to golf. I've got
- 17:29Speaker 2: two sets of clubs in my garage.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Wait, you know how I talk about used to guys?
- 17:35Speaker 1: Are you a used to golfer? Mean?
- 17:39Speaker 2: I used to golf. I stopped about a year and
- 17:41Speaker 2: a half ago. I stopped just before we filmed on
- 17:44Speaker 2: the Batch because I had a little bit of a
- 17:46Speaker 2: car accident and jammed my thumb and it swelled up.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Went to the doctor and they x rayed both hands
- 17:53Speaker 2: and said, oh, by the way, you have arthritis and
- 17:55Speaker 2: both thumbs. Oh joy. Okay, so gripping sometimes is a
- 17:59Speaker 2: problem for me. So I haven't since the show. I
- 18:03Speaker 2: haven't really. I've gone out to the range. I haven't
- 18:06Speaker 2: gone out to the course.
- 18:08Speaker 1: I can all right, Well, I'm going to be watching
- 18:11Speaker 1: you at this golf tournament I'm going to be seeing
- 18:13Speaker 1: who you make eye contact with. I'm going to be
- 18:16Speaker 1: seeing who floats your boat, who you're willing to walk
- 18:20Speaker 1: off the cliff for, who you're willing to walk up
- 18:23Speaker 1: and give a kiss to, who you're willing to walk
- 18:25Speaker 1: up to and start a conversation with.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Hey, I can do I can conversation.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Yeah you can do that. Sure, Okay, now I might,
- 18:32Speaker 1: I might beat you to it.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Can I get some pointers from you because you seem
- 18:35Speaker 2: to be you know what?
- 18:37Speaker 1: I I pointers on what how to meet.
- 18:40Speaker 2: The guy, how to flirt, how to I mean turn off.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Here's here's what I do if I find someone that
- 18:49Speaker 1: is appealing to me. I think the biggest compliment you
- 18:53Speaker 1: can pay someone and show you're interested is to ask him,
- 18:58Speaker 1: in my case, ask him questions about himself. That's what
- 19:02Speaker 1: I do. I ask, and I use their name, so
- 19:06Speaker 1: you know, in your case, c K, tell me where
- 19:09Speaker 1: you know, tell me you're going to South Africa. Whatever
- 19:11Speaker 1: I ask using their name, look them in the eye,
- 19:14Speaker 1: ask some questions about themselves, because I think that puts
- 19:17Speaker 1: people at ease. But then, of course I'm waiting for
- 19:20Speaker 1: those people ask me questions as well. But I also
- 19:24Speaker 1: think sometimes just a smile, you know, making an eye contact.
- 19:28Speaker 1: It's not that hard. I do believe chemistry is you know,
- 19:33Speaker 1: it's it's at the forefront. Right you meet someone, you
- 19:36Speaker 1: either have chemistry you don't.
- 19:38Speaker 2: See and I don't I don't see. I don't like
- 19:42Speaker 2: to be interviewed. I don't like men to come ask
- 19:45Speaker 2: me are you married? Or who are you here? With no,
- 19:48Speaker 2: So by the same token, I don't want to approach anyone. Well,
- 19:53Speaker 2: I'll talk to a guy and we'll chat about where
- 19:56Speaker 2: we are, what's going on, how's your game, where your buddy.
- 20:00Speaker 2: I'll talk about things that are would be common to
- 20:03Speaker 2: the environment, not necessarily go after him.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Yeah, but think about it, Sondra. You have to when
- 20:12Speaker 1: you meet someone, you have somebody has to say, hey,
- 20:17Speaker 1: how are you nice to meet you? Or you know,
- 20:20Speaker 1: oh you're a golfer. Oh you're here watching the golf tournament.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that kind of conversation is great.
- 20:25Speaker 1: Well that's how you start.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Okay, But when you say start asking him questions about
- 20:30Speaker 2: himself and use his name and that's fine, Well, I
- 20:33Speaker 2: don't know, I just maybe I've misunderstood what you were saying.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Okay, Well, here's what I think, Sondra. Tomorrow, when you
- 20:40Speaker 1: and I go to the golf.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Tournament, are you going to give me some point?
- 20:42Speaker 1: I want you to follow after me. We're gonna we're
- 20:46Speaker 1: gonna pick out the guy you're gonna show me, Kathy.
- 20:48Speaker 1: I like that guy, and I'm gonna I'm gonna I'm
- 20:51Speaker 1: gonna make it happen for you.
- 20:52Speaker 2: You are, You're gonna tell him.
- 20:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna be a wing woman. I'm gonna be your
- 21:00Speaker 1: wing woman.
- 21:01Speaker 2: Lord of Mercy, I'm in trouble now.
- 21:03Speaker 1: No, it's gonna it's gonna be great. You're gonna have guys,
- 21:06Speaker 1: you know, like a dance card. Your dance card is
- 21:08Speaker 1: gonna be full. These guys are all gonna be like,
- 21:11Speaker 1: I want her number. I want her number.
- 21:13Speaker 2: But let me ask you this, Kathy. You say there's
- 21:15Speaker 2: going to be a swarm of men, won't there be
- 21:18Speaker 2: a lot of women as well?
- 21:20Speaker 1: Yeah? I think I measure up. Do you measure up?
- 21:23Speaker 2: Well? Yeah? I don't. Then don't trying to measure I'm
- 21:26Speaker 2: just saying.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Who cares? My point is who cares? Right, You're at
- 21:30Speaker 1: the top of the heaps, so am I at the top.
- 21:31Speaker 1: You're at the top of the You're at the top
- 21:34Speaker 1: of the heap. It has been great having you. I'm
- 21:38Speaker 1: so glad you're here with us. We are going to
- 21:40Speaker 1: have a great time with some of the guys from
- 21:44Speaker 1: Jones season, some of us the Golden Bachelorettes. We're gonna
- 21:48Speaker 1: have a great time. I'm so glad you hear. This
- 21:50Speaker 1: is going to create memories that you are not going
- 21:53Speaker 1: to forget. You never know, Sondra. Yeah, you're gonna learn
- 21:57Speaker 1: how to flirt.
- 21:58Speaker 2: You might find you're not going to get to know
- 22:01Speaker 2: about that's flirting. Is that flirting?
- 22:04Speaker 1: Flirting?
- 22:05Speaker 2: Always thought flirting was throwing your hair, winking, staring. I
- 22:10Speaker 2: assumed that that was flirting behavior. So maybe that's the words.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Do as I say, not as I do. Follow me, Sandra,
- 22:20Speaker 1: it's not flipping your hair. I'm gonna give you. I'm
- 22:23Speaker 1: gonna give you a lessons. We're gonnay the next time
