Latest / 5-Minutes of Good News / When The Nations Gather
Transcript
- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Hello, Christians.
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: This is Dallas Beecham.
- 0:04SPEAKER_00: Stand by for good news.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: There are moments when the evening news sounds less like a report and more like an echo from an old prophet.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: Ezekiel stood by a river while in captivity and saw things no man could see on his own.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: Ezekiel saw nations gather against the mountains of Israel.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: He named old names, Gog and Magog, Persia and Cush.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: He saw a storm coming from the north.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: He saw weapons, armies, horses, shields, a plan made in secret, a plan made in pride, a plan made by men who thought Israel was weak.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: But Ezekiel heard something greater than marching feet.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: He heard the voice of God.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: I am against you, O God.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: That changes the whole story.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: If God had said nothing, the armies would look terrifying.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: If heaven were silent, the headline would be enough to steal your sleep.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: But heaven is not silent.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: God speaks, and when God speaks, the believers listen differently.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: The unbeliever may see only truth movements.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: The believer sees a throne.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: The unbeliever may see only alliances.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: The believer sees prophecy.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: The unbeliever may see chaos, but the believer remembers that God writes straight lines through crooked history.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: That is the part believers must not miss.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: The nations may gather, but God is not gathering information.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: He is not surprised, he is not rushed, he is not walking the floor in heaven.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: He is not wondering what Russia, Iran, Israel, or America will do.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: Long before the headline, God's word was written.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: Long before the armies moved, God had already declared the end of the story.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: Zachariah said the nations would gather against Jerusalem.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: Joel said the nations would be brought down into the valley of decision.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: Revelation says the kings of the earth will gather at a place called Armageddon.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: Ezekiel says God will put hooks in the jaws of the invader.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: He will bring him forward, not because evil is in charge, but because God will display his greatness before the eyes of the nations.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: That means the battlefield is not the highest issue.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: The highest issue is the glory of God.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: The nations think they are coming for spoil.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: They think they are coming for power.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: They think they are coming because Israel appears vulnerable.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: But God says He will use that very moment to make His name known.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: He will show the nations that He is holy.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: He will show Israel that He keeps His word.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: He will show the world that history has never belonged to the proud and the powerful.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: That is why Christians can watch world events with clear eyes.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: We do not have to pretend the world is calm when it is not.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: We do not have to ignore danger.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: We do not have to close our Bibles and say nothing matters.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: It matters.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: Israel matters.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: Jerusalem matters.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: The nations matter.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: The promises of God matter, but we also do not have to panic.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: The same Lord who named the nations can restrain the nations.
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: The same Lord who foretold the storm can command the storm.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: There is another lesson here.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: God sometimes lets evil gather itself into one place.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: He lets pride stand up where everyone can see it.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: He lets rebellion speak out loud.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: He lets the nations make their plans.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: Then at the appointed time He answers.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: Pharaoh learned it at the Red Sea.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: Goliath learned it in the valley, and one day every proud power will learn it again.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: So when you hear of alliances forming, do not only ask what are the nations doing, ask what the Bible says about what they are doing.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: When you hear of threats against Israel, do not only ask how dangerous is this, ask did God not promise?
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: And the answer is yes, always yes.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: He has not forgotten Abraham.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: He has not forgotten David.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: He has not forgotten Jerusalem.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: He has not forgotten the church, and he has not forgotten his promise to you.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: Peter said it on the day of Pentecost, for the promise is unto you and to your children, and to all that are far off.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: That means God promises did not stop with one generation.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: It reached forward, it reached outward, and by grace it reached us.
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: And now the good news Bible prophecy is not given to terrify Christians.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: It is given to make Christians faithful.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: It is given to wake us up.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: It is given to lift our eyes, and it is given to remind us that the world is not spinning loose from the hand of God.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: When the world seems unstable, the believer can stand on a stable word.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: When the nations rage, Psalm two says the Lord still sits in the heavens.
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: When armies gather, God still reigns, and when the final chapter comes, it will not end with Gog, Magog, Persia or Armageddon.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: It will end with Jesus Christ, King of kings and Lord of Lords.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: So lift up your head, Christian.
- 7:13SPEAKER_00: Watch the times, but do not worship the times.
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: Read the headlines, but believe the scriptures.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: Pray for Israel, pray for the nations, pray for the lost, pray for peace, but never forget where peace finally comes from.
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: It does not come from a treaty table or political strength.
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: It comes from the Prince of Peace.
- 7:38SPEAKER_00: The nations may gather against Israel, against Jerusalem, and against the purposes of God, but no nation has ever gathered enough power to overthrow the throne of heaven.
- 7:51SPEAKER_00: Remember this message, as I hope it has touched your heart and causes you to have a good day.
