Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Yeah, that.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Chuck Norris was chasing the Tyrannosaurus Rex. The rex was
- 0:06Speaker 2: not chasing the jeep. Murray, Murray, you there. You love sandwiches. Huh,
- 0:11Speaker 2: Let's go to eighty.
- 0:13Speaker 3: It was bo.
- 0:16Speaker 4: Wow that Prime Time. Maybe I had a crush on
- 0:18Speaker 4: Betty Rubble.
- 0:19Speaker 2: I honestly, until after the segment ended and we went
- 0:22Speaker 2: to commercial break, had no idea that Jonathan Coachman was black.
- 0:25Speaker 4: He caught them the game last night, although they won
- 0:28Speaker 4: the game. You're listening to to Gods and Company.
- 0:32Speaker 5: It is To Gods and Company presented by Vanduel on
- 0:34Speaker 5: the FanDuel's sports book, Big Night in the NBA Last Night,
- 0:37Speaker 5: Big Night Tonight the NBA.
- 0:38Speaker 4: The hockey playoffs are fantastic, right talking, He's there.
- 0:43Speaker 5: That Stanley Cup Trophy is the hardest trophy to win
- 0:46Speaker 5: in all of sports. To cliche thing to say, but
- 0:49Speaker 5: it's true. But I don't want to start with any
- 0:51Speaker 5: of those things. I want to start with the beef
- 0:52Speaker 5: that Frank I Solda finds himself in tonight. Taylor, please
- 0:56Speaker 5: explain to me, to Izzy, to mikey A, what's going
- 1:00Speaker 5: on with I?
- 1:00Speaker 4: Sola.
- 1:02Speaker 1: I'm team I'm team Frank alright, well.
- 1:05Speaker 5: I didn't even finish a sentence, and as well, yes,
- 1:10Speaker 5: I don't care who he's fighting. What if he's fighting
- 1:12Speaker 5: Tim Kirchin, though it's.
- 1:13Speaker 1: A good name to bring up. Then I don't know.
- 1:17Speaker 6: So frank I sools Beef is frank I Sole and
- 1:20Speaker 6: Brian Skalbrini have a a radio show on Serious XM.
- 1:25Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 1:26Speaker 6: Yeah, they have a radio show on Sirius XM. They
- 1:30Speaker 6: cut their radio show by an hour to give it
- 1:34Speaker 6: to Kenny Beacham. And if you guys aren't familiar with
- 1:36Speaker 6: Kenny Beacham, he's like a digital voice for for this
- 1:40Speaker 6: next generation of NBA fans. He's he is massive with
- 1:43Speaker 6: the younger crowd.
- 1:44Speaker 7: Can we define that? When you say next generation? How
- 1:47Speaker 7: young are we talking? Because a good decade younger than me?
- 1:52Speaker 7: And I'm are you in this generation or is it
- 1:55Speaker 7: even younger than you?
- 1:57Speaker 6: It's it's probably my generation and younger. Anybody in that
- 2:01Speaker 6: like thirty, like mid thirties is probably the cutoff for
- 2:06Speaker 6: even knowing who Kenny Beacham is. Yeah, about twenty, so
- 2:12Speaker 6: it's everybody who's still on their parents Serious XM.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Plan, that's what you're saying, Yes.
- 2:18Speaker 6: Yes, so actually NBC just brought in Kenny beacham too
- 2:22Speaker 6: to do more stuff for them. Like again, he is
- 2:26Speaker 6: massive on social media. He got famous by doing He
- 2:30Speaker 6: would take like this shows how new he is. He
- 2:33Speaker 6: would take bad teams in the NBA video games NBA
- 2:37Speaker 6: two K and rebuild the teams into championship level contenders,
- 2:41Speaker 6: and that's how he got big. Like people wanted to
- 2:44Speaker 6: see him rebuild the Chicago Bulls. Yes, it's it's that
- 2:47Speaker 6: whole like twitch error. But anyways, they cut Frank Iola
- 2:52Speaker 6: and Brian Scalburny show by an houral.
- 2:55Speaker 3: To give it to Kenny Beach.
- 2:59Speaker 6: They give Ay give a copy to frank I Sola
- 3:03Speaker 6: to promote the show, and the copy says, Monday's just
- 3:07Speaker 6: got a whole lot better.
- 3:09Speaker 5: Ooh no wayoo no, because there's one less hour of
- 3:14Speaker 5: Frank and there's more Beach him.
- 3:16Speaker 4: I mean, my god.
- 3:19Speaker 6: So that's the copy they want frank I Sold to read. Yeah,
- 3:23Speaker 6: and you guys know frank I Sola. Yeah, you guys
- 3:25Speaker 6: know frank.
- 3:26Speaker 4: I sol It and the iceman frank I sol It.
- 3:29Speaker 6: Couldn't have been more defined, being like this is what
- 3:31Speaker 6: they want me to read. I'm not reading this, and
- 3:34Speaker 6: everybody was. I would say if the beef ended there
- 3:38Speaker 6: and Frank I Sola just kept his beef with Sirius XM,
- 3:43Speaker 6: no problems. The problem that Frank I Sol ran into
- 3:47Speaker 6: is that for the next like two minutes after that,
- 3:49Speaker 6: he went into the hole who is Kenny Beacham? And
- 3:53Speaker 6: then Kenny Beacham quote tweeted it on Twitter and being like,
- 3:58Speaker 6: don't hate the player, hate the game man. And now
- 4:01Speaker 6: now the younger crowd is after Frank I Saw who
- 4:04Speaker 6: I'm not even sure Frank I Saw knows that the
- 4:06Speaker 6: younger crowd is after him.
- 4:07Speaker 5: Frank I Sola has no idea who Kenny Beacham is,
- 4:09Speaker 5: I mean, and so therefore he has no idea that
- 4:13Speaker 5: the younger generation is coming after him right now? What
- 4:16Speaker 5: do you make of this? Is he I side with Iceman?
- 4:19Speaker 7: Well, let me read some more quotes from Frank There
- 4:23Speaker 7: are quotes.
- 4:25Speaker 8: Well, just from the radio show.
- 4:26Speaker 7: He said to the NBA Games in a second, I
- 4:28Speaker 7: promise that Kenny Beacham oyer with Kenny Beacham aptly named.
- 4:32Speaker 7: Frank said, God forbid, we name it the Frank Is
- 4:34Speaker 7: Sola Bryan Scalabrini Show. But we've only been doing this
- 4:37Speaker 7: show here for about what how many years now fifteen?
- 4:40Speaker 7: But you walk in first day, they're going to name
- 4:42Speaker 7: a show after you.
- 4:44Speaker 4: And then.
- 4:46Speaker 7: I think my favorite part of it was basically Frank
- 4:51Speaker 7: just giving his bona fides.
- 4:53Speaker 8: He Beacham.
- 4:54Speaker 5: He was told, Beacham, you know, is fatal, So he
- 4:57Speaker 5: gives his bona fides and Beacham gives his followers and.
- 5:00Speaker 3: That's really well.
- 5:01Speaker 7: Basically he was told how many followers Beacham had and
- 5:04Speaker 7: Frank said, bull, he does PTI I don't want to
- 5:07Speaker 7: hear about Twitter by followers?
- 5:10Speaker 8: Who is he? Who is he? Where he's taking an
- 5:13Speaker 8: hour from our show?
- 5:15Speaker 3: Wait?
- 5:15Speaker 5: Did Frank say the actual word bull? Like there was
- 5:18Speaker 5: no shit after it?
- 5:19Speaker 8: It was just according to awful announcing, he said bull.
- 5:22Speaker 5: Right, it's why he doesn't know who Kenny Beacham is
- 5:25Speaker 5: because he's still using bull.
- 5:28Speaker 7: And let me tell you, okay, where I stand on this.
- 5:31Speaker 7: It's starting to reckon. It's starting to hit home that
- 5:34Speaker 7: this is a little personal now too, right because over
- 5:38Speaker 7: the last couple of seasons, I randomly, not randomly, but
- 5:43Speaker 7: whenever they needed it fill in for Frank Iola or
- 5:46Speaker 7: Brian Scalabrini, usually for Brian's Galabrini, which he's on the.
- 5:49Speaker 8: Road, which means, you know, a couple extra dollars in
- 5:51Speaker 8: my pocket cutting an hour off the show.
- 5:54Speaker 7: Yeah, and that's one third, that's thirty three percent less
- 5:57Speaker 7: opportunity for me to potentially fit in. And so there
- 6:01Speaker 7: Kenny Beacham is now also taking money out of my
- 6:03Speaker 7: pocket potentially.
- 6:04Speaker 4: Right. I am so proud of you.
- 6:06Speaker 5: You have figured out a way to make this beef
- 6:08Speaker 5: all about you, that is well done by you. You
- 6:10Speaker 5: cannot if you're Sirius XM asked Frank I Sola to
- 6:14Speaker 5: read something that promotes these days just got better because
- 6:18Speaker 5: there's an hour less of me. You can't ask him
- 6:20Speaker 5: to do that, I Sola, his beef your right tailor
- 6:24Speaker 5: should be with Sirius XM. It should not be with
- 6:26Speaker 5: Kenny Beacham. Kenny Beacham didn't write the promo, although if
- 6:29Speaker 5: Kenny Beacham were given the opportunity to write the promo,
- 6:32Speaker 5: I guarantee you he would have run something similar to
- 6:34Speaker 5: that because he does think that every day is now
- 6:37Speaker 5: getting better.
- 6:37Speaker 7: At SIRIX that was just the beginning of my I
- 6:41Speaker 7: wasn't gonna make it all about myself. My point was
- 6:44Speaker 7: more I thought I did have more?
- 6:45Speaker 4: Yes?
- 6:45Speaker 8: Is that okay?
- 6:46Speaker 4: Sorry?
- 6:47Speaker 8: Oh yours, it's okay.
- 6:48Speaker 5: I just thought I thought you were dumb when you,
- 6:50Speaker 5: yah know, you talked about how it's going to affect
- 6:52Speaker 5: your pocket.
- 6:52Speaker 8: I mean, no, no, not done.
- 6:55Speaker 7: I do think it was ridiculously disrespectful to ask him
- 6:59Speaker 7: to read that, Absolutely ridiculously. It's lacking of self awareness
- 7:03Speaker 7: from whoever wrote that and asking him to read it.
- 7:05Speaker 7: And also like, look, I don't know about the people
- 7:07Speaker 7: by followers. I don't know about the younger generation having
- 7:11Speaker 7: you know, more power than others, or the you know,
- 7:14Speaker 7: the viewing power of listening power. But I literally didn't
- 7:17Speaker 7: know who he was. And I'm not trying to be
- 7:20Speaker 7: insulting or whatever. I don't watch Pat McAfee show. Apparently
- 7:22Speaker 7: he's been on the Pat McAfee show. Pat McAfee show
- 7:24Speaker 7: might be even more popular than PTI these days. I
- 7:27Speaker 7: don't really know, so it might be that he's more
- 7:29Speaker 7: popular than Frank. But to have him, I mean, there's
- 7:32Speaker 7: no other way to read that other than they're taking
- 7:34Speaker 7: an hour off my show. That's a demotion, and now
- 7:36Speaker 7: you want me to celebrate this demotion publicly.
- 7:38Speaker 8: That's absolutely ridiculous.
- 7:40Speaker 5: Right, Well, and you want to say the entertainment value
- 7:42Speaker 5: has gotten better because I'm mom one less hour.
- 7:45Speaker 7: Right, I'm not going to say that. I don't know
- 7:47Speaker 7: what he does. He could be widely entertaining or he
- 7:49Speaker 7: could be terrible.
- 7:50Speaker 6: I don't know, right, And just for context, on Kenny
- 7:54Speaker 6: Beachrim has two channels on YouTube, one where he does
- 7:57Speaker 6: like NBA commentary and one where he does like video
- 8:00Speaker 6: game NBA commentary. He's gotten six million views the past month.
- 8:05Speaker 4: Wow, how many views? I don't know, right? How many
- 8:09Speaker 4: views does I Sola have?
- 8:10Speaker 8: I mean, how does that translate to radio?
- 8:14Speaker 1: How many people are watching PTI every day?
- 8:17Speaker 5: Well, the thought is, if he has that many people
- 8:19Speaker 5: checking out his YouTube stuff, some of those people will
- 8:21Speaker 5: will translate over to radio.
- 8:22Speaker 4: I would guess, right.
- 8:23Speaker 8: I'm not talking about the listeners the viewers.
- 8:25Speaker 7: I'm talking about how whatever he does visually transfers to
- 8:27Speaker 7: radio or however he started going, you know, with the
- 8:30Speaker 7: rebuilding of.
- 8:30Speaker 5: Two K teams, how that necessarily I understand exactly what
- 8:34Speaker 5: it is you're asking. I'm just saying I think the
- 8:36Speaker 5: way Sirius XM does this I could be wrong. Is
- 8:39Speaker 5: this guy's got a ton of followers. He gets this
- 8:41Speaker 5: many views, and if we could just get a third
- 8:44Speaker 5: of them over to Sirius XM to listen to his
- 8:46Speaker 5: radio show or less, by the way, he doesn't need
- 8:49Speaker 5: to be that many, then we're gonna be fine. And
- 8:52Speaker 5: that's it's probably a good way of thinking in this
- 8:54Speaker 5: day and age.
- 8:55Speaker 9: The problem is, it's not even Beacham who's that fault here.
- 8:58Speaker 9: It's Serious ExM. Beacham is just, hey, they offered me
- 9:01Speaker 9: an hour of radio and I'm gonna do it. Yeah,
- 9:03Speaker 9: And Serious XM is like, hey, cool, we're gonna take
- 9:07Speaker 9: it from you, and you go ahead and celebrate it
- 9:09Speaker 9: like Serious XM is the one that we should be
- 9:11Speaker 9: beef and win.
- 9:12Speaker 7: But Taylor, if you could speak for the young delegation
- 9:14Speaker 7: one more time.
- 9:14Speaker 8: Here are they moving to radio like they have enough.
- 9:18Speaker 7: To watch already, Like you're talking about like twenty year
- 9:20Speaker 7: olds gonna be like, oh, I'm gonna find Kenny Beacham
- 9:22Speaker 7: on radio now.
- 9:23Speaker 8: They probably get enough of them already.
- 9:26Speaker 6: There's a chance that they at least subscribe to Kenny
- 9:30Speaker 6: Beachum's radio hour just to hear what it's gonna sound
- 9:33Speaker 6: like I think there is some worry for that, like
- 9:37Speaker 6: oversaturation with him ye in content. But I think if
- 9:42Speaker 6: like Stu mentioned, if if they even get five percent
- 9:46Speaker 6: of his audience to convert over to a free trial,
- 9:49Speaker 6: and then I know I do it all the time.
- 9:51Speaker 6: I subscribe to free trials left and right. Yeah, I
- 9:54Speaker 6: probably forget to cancel about eighty percent of them, and
- 9:57Speaker 6: that would be a win for serious.
- 9:58Speaker 5: I guess yes, I get sucked in every single time.
- 10:01Speaker 5: Get Kenny Beacham on the show.
- 10:02Speaker 4: Should we have Beacham and I Sola on the show?
- 10:04Speaker 5: By the way, I Sola or ala sirius xm asshole.
- 10:08Speaker 4: I mean, you don't make Frank read that. You just
- 10:10Speaker 4: don't do that.
- 10:11Speaker 5: I want beach him on the show, and I would
- 10:13Speaker 5: like I Sola on the show, and I want to
- 10:15Speaker 5: settle the beef.
- 10:17Speaker 4: Good luck the beach terrible joke.
- 10:25Speaker 5: So I don't know who Kenny Beacham is, but I'm
- 10:27Speaker 5: certain he's very good at his job. And I'm also
- 10:29Speaker 5: certain that you cannot put Frank I Sola in a
- 10:31Speaker 5: terrible spot like that where he has to criticize his
- 10:34Speaker 5: own performance.
- 10:38Speaker 4: Anyway, big win for the Mecca last night.
- 10:41Speaker 7: Yeah, the Hawks had no shot. Oh they stink, Like
- 10:46Speaker 7: what happened there?
- 10:47Speaker 4: Like?
- 10:47Speaker 8: How did they even lose the two games? Taylor? Because
- 10:50Speaker 8: it seems like CJ.
- 10:53Speaker 7: McCollum must have just had like the gate the back
- 10:55Speaker 7: to back games of his life, Because it doesn't feel
- 10:57Speaker 7: like the Hawks have much of a chance at all
- 10:59Speaker 7: in this one.
- 11:01Speaker 3: The answer to how did the Knicks lose two games
- 11:03Speaker 3: is simple? Mike Brown, Yeah, yesterday.
- 11:06Speaker 6: Is he the Knicks played like a team that was
- 11:08Speaker 6: embarrassed that this series even has to go back to Atlanta.
- 11:13Speaker 6: We've been saying it for the most part, like on paper,
- 11:15Speaker 6: this Knicks team is way better than Atlanta, and it
- 11:19Speaker 6: feels like a validating win from the sense that on
- 11:23Speaker 6: nights like this, when the Knicks are playing their best basketball,
- 11:25Speaker 6: it does feel like a roster that's that's more than
- 11:28Speaker 6: good enough to make it to the NBA Finals and
- 11:31Speaker 6: potentially win the NBA Finals, depending on who that matchup
- 11:34Speaker 6: is going to be against.
- 11:35Speaker 7: Yeah, I feel like I watched Jalen Johnson and I'm
- 11:38Speaker 7: just like, I wonder if the Hawks might have made
- 11:40Speaker 7: a mistake giving you basically going all in as him
- 11:44Speaker 7: as their leader. Right, because you know, obviously CJ's old
- 11:46Speaker 7: and the Kaile Alexander Walker has been a revelation this
- 11:49Speaker 7: year and he is obviously a great pickup. But I mean,
- 11:53Speaker 7: is that the cornerstone of your franchise right now, Jalen
- 11:55Speaker 7: Johnson and Kile Alexander Walker, Because that's not taking you
- 11:58Speaker 7: that far.
- 11:59Speaker 5: It's so only how the NBA playoffs work, is he
- 12:02Speaker 5: Because at two.
- 12:02Speaker 4: To one Atlanta, Jalen Johnson was the right guy.
- 12:05Speaker 5: And now that they're down three to two headed back
- 12:07Speaker 5: to Atlanta, we now start to questioned the roster construction.
- 12:12Speaker 7: Even then it was even then it was like CJ
- 12:14Speaker 7: carrying them right. It was a guy that picked up
- 12:15Speaker 7: on the cord of the season. So it just it
- 12:17Speaker 7: feels odd and he just doesn't. This is where you
- 12:20Speaker 7: look at like experience and stuff. Right in the regular season,
- 12:22Speaker 7: you can just go from game to game figuring out
- 12:24Speaker 7: however you're gonna score in that game or dominate that
- 12:26Speaker 7: game and go, but you have to have go to spots,
- 12:29Speaker 7: you have to have go to offensive situations that it
- 12:32Speaker 7: feels like Jalen is just kind of floating around and
- 12:34Speaker 7: doesn't really know where his you know, where his offense
- 12:37Speaker 7: is supposed to come from.
- 12:38Speaker 6: Is he the player that I think is flying under
- 12:40Speaker 6: the radar this series? For me, at least, it's it's
- 12:43Speaker 6: Ogann Andobi. When he's been the player of this series
- 12:47Speaker 6: for me, where he's averaging twenty to nine on fifty
- 12:50Speaker 6: seven percent from the field and fifty four percent from three,
- 12:54Speaker 6: it does feel like the contributions he makes sometime go unnoticed.
- 13:00Speaker 7: He's gotten so good as three point shooting, particularly from
- 13:03Speaker 7: the corner, that it feels like if he is, you know,
- 13:06Speaker 7: even a decent shot, he's going to make that shot.
- 13:09Speaker 7: But Taylor, You've been tricked a lot of times when
- 13:12Speaker 7: it comes to Og right, because when things get really
- 13:14Speaker 7: tough and you don't have an entire defense collapsing on
- 13:17Speaker 7: Jalen Brunson because he's dominating you, and you don't have
- 13:20Speaker 7: an offense at a half court offense that's really working,
- 13:24Speaker 7: you try to give the ball to og and it
- 13:26Speaker 7: says there's nothing there, right, Like he almost has to
- 13:28Speaker 7: be a complimentary piece, and when he's hitting like this,
- 13:33Speaker 7: he's one of the best complimentary pieces in the league.
- 13:35Speaker 5: But is he if he's your third option in playing
- 13:37Speaker 5: well and he needs to be the third option after
- 13:39Speaker 5: Brunson and Karl Anthony Towns. And Brunson was amazing last
- 13:42Speaker 5: night and Karl Anthony Towns.
- 13:44Speaker 4: Was great as well.
- 13:45Speaker 5: If he's your third option, chances are you're going to
- 13:47Speaker 5: be a pretty good basketball team.
- 13:49Speaker 8: Sure, But what do you mean by option right?
- 13:51Speaker 7: Because when I say third option, I mean like, hey,
- 13:52Speaker 7: I can give this guy the ball. He can go
- 13:54Speaker 7: get me a bucket. Even if it's the third best
- 13:55Speaker 7: option on the team.
- 13:57Speaker 8: I can't.
- 13:57Speaker 7: I have no trust that I can do that for Ogna. No,
- 14:00Speaker 7: I again love to see it kicked out to him.
- 14:02Speaker 7: If it's basically either a jump shot or you know,
- 14:05Speaker 7: pump fake and drive, you know that's fine.
- 14:08Speaker 8: But there's not a whole lot of variety to his offense.
- 14:10Speaker 7: So if he is my third option and I can
- 14:12Speaker 7: and for some reason my first option is taken out
- 14:14Speaker 7: of the game, second option is not having a good game.
- 14:16Speaker 8: It's not gonna look pretty if you have to turn
- 14:18Speaker 8: to og.
- 14:19Speaker 5: I guess I'm just saying, you know, I could bank
- 14:21Speaker 5: on Jalen Brunson. I feel like for now, at least
- 14:24Speaker 5: until they play the Celtics or the Sixers, that they
- 14:28Speaker 5: that they could bank on Karl Anthony Towns. And if
- 14:30Speaker 5: Og can give you seventeen to twenty two points every
- 14:34Speaker 5: night and it's five of eight from the field or
- 14:36Speaker 5: five of ten from the field, the Knicks are gonna
- 14:38Speaker 5: be in good shape, that's all.
- 14:38Speaker 8: They'll be fine.
- 14:39Speaker 7: But the problem is is there you have some duplication, right,
- 14:41Speaker 7: So it's Og Ananobi and Michale Bridges. They're kind of
- 14:43Speaker 7: supposed to give you the same thing. OG's given it
- 14:46Speaker 7: to you. You gotta find something else then from McHale Bridges, like,
- 14:48Speaker 7: you've got to fight. He can't just give you seven
- 14:50Speaker 7: points and be a non factor.
- 14:52Speaker 6: So I had this take one time. I believe it
- 14:55Speaker 6: was after like one of those live streams during the
- 14:57Speaker 6: Pacers during the series, maybe two years ago on The
- 15:01Speaker 6: LeBatard Show where it was the game Dante DiVincenzo hits
- 15:06Speaker 6: that big three and I hug ten day Tony and
- 15:09Speaker 6: I say, Jalen Brunson has changed my life. And Tony
- 15:15Speaker 6: when I said that, Tony laughed and like that was
- 15:17Speaker 6: one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. But
- 15:21Speaker 6: the more we see Jalen Brunson play basketball in Madison
- 15:25Speaker 6: Square Garden, the more that I truly believe Jalen Brunson
- 15:28Speaker 6: has changed my life where there's gonna be nights where
- 15:32Speaker 6: he has the rare off night like Game two where
- 15:34Speaker 6: he shoots under forty percent. Sure, right, but before Jalen
- 15:38Speaker 6: Brunson came to New York, we would have been spending
- 15:41Speaker 6: our April stew praying to the draft lottery gods for
- 15:45Speaker 6: a chance at aj Debonsa. And now the flip side
- 15:48Speaker 6: of that, Jalen Brunson is as close to a lock
- 15:52Speaker 6: for me on this current trajectory he's on when it
- 15:55Speaker 6: comes to getting his jersey retired at Madison.
- 15:56Speaker 7: Square, they were like a few years from pray for
- 16:00Speaker 7: Zion and now look at this.
- 16:01Speaker 5: I know, no, no, listen, He's been a savior, He's
- 16:04Speaker 5: been a blessing. I love Jalen Brunson. He just needs
- 16:07Speaker 5: to be more consistent. But he hasn't changed your life.
- 16:10Speaker 5: I mean to say that he's changed your life and
- 16:11Speaker 5: have it accompanied by a hug with to ten day
- 16:14Speaker 5: Tony is a bit strange.
- 16:16Speaker 8: I believe him a bit much.
- 16:18Speaker 5: If you decide you could say it to Tony, but
- 16:21Speaker 5: to do it with.
- 16:22Speaker 8: A hug is But he's the point.
- 16:23Speaker 7: If you decide in public to hug Tony right sports moment.
- 16:30Speaker 6: Yeah, but don't you think there's Patriot fans who look
- 16:33Speaker 6: back at the start of that dynasty with Tom Brady
- 16:36Speaker 6: and Bill Belichick and being like, you know what, tom
- 16:38Speaker 6: Brady kind of changed my life. Bill Simmons probably thinks
- 16:41Speaker 6: Tom Brady changed his life.
- 16:43Speaker 5: Yes, with six Super Bowls. I mean so your life
- 16:46Speaker 5: hasn't changed at all. The Knicks haven't gotten any further
- 16:49Speaker 5: than they ever have in your entire life. When they
- 16:51Speaker 5: make it to the NBA finals, could Jalen Brunton change
- 16:54Speaker 5: your life?
- 16:54Speaker 4: In fact, when they do make it.
- 16:56Speaker 5: To the NBA Finals, I want you to find ten
- 16:58Speaker 5: day Tony, give him a hug, I tell him again
- 17:00Speaker 5: that Jalen Brunson has changed your life.
- 17:02Speaker 4: No, I totally. Right now, your life is unchanged.
- 17:04Speaker 8: I buy it one hundred percent.
- 17:06Speaker 7: He's just recognizing that it's changed while it's changing, right,
- 17:10Speaker 7: not waiting until after the championships and be like, wow,
- 17:12Speaker 7: looking back, Jalen Brunton really changed my life.
- 17:14Speaker 8: He's just recognizing it as it happened.
- 17:16Speaker 4: Stu.
- 17:17Speaker 6: If if Jalen Brunson, for some reason after this postseason retired, yes,
- 17:22Speaker 6: what would his legacy be changed my life the guy,
- 17:27Speaker 6: the guy that dragged the Knicks back to relevance.
- 17:31Speaker 7: I'm gonna say, the guy that was too short to
- 17:32Speaker 7: bring the Knicks all the way back to relevance.
- 17:34Speaker 4: But Taylor, you know how this works.
- 17:36Speaker 5: Unless Jalen Brunson takes them all the way to the
- 17:39Speaker 5: NBA Finals, he's going to get criticized. They got to
- 17:42Speaker 5: the Eastern Conference for me, not for me from everyone else.
- 17:45Speaker 4: Though.
- 17:46Speaker 7: This is what I've realized about Taylor, and it is
- 17:48Speaker 7: very refreshing to see. It's also very positive to see. Right,
- 17:51Speaker 7: I could use I could use him to compare to
- 17:54Speaker 7: any other sports fan. He is the purest of sports fan,
- 17:58Speaker 7: no doubt. It's like one hundred said. His life is
- 18:01Speaker 7: still very much affected by sports. He loves every time
- 18:05Speaker 7: he's either involved or talking about sports. It's one hundred
- 18:08Speaker 7: percent a pure hearted situation. And so I absolutely believe
- 18:12Speaker 7: that Jalen Breston has that level of impact on his life.
- 18:15Speaker 4: He was so excited about Jalen Brunson changing his life.
- 18:18Speaker 4: He hugged the Heat fan.
- 18:19Speaker 8: I mean not just any Heat fan. He doesn't want
- 18:23Speaker 8: to be hugged by a man in public.
- 18:24Speaker 4: Now had a good look at I have.
- 18:27Speaker 3: A shocking revelation that I don't know if I've ever shared.
- 18:31Speaker 5: Uh.
- 18:32Speaker 3: I used to play Fortnite with Jalen Bronson.
- 18:35Speaker 8: So you share it with Jalen Huh, yes, one, so
- 18:40Speaker 8: I have.
- 18:40Speaker 6: I've never talked to him since he's made it to
- 18:44Speaker 6: the Knicks. This is when he was on the Mavericks
- 18:47Speaker 6: because in my Carolina days, I was good friends with
- 18:50Speaker 6: Marcus Page and Justin Jackson on the basketball team. Justin
- 18:54Speaker 6: Jackson then went to the Kings, and then he went
- 18:57Speaker 6: to the Dallas Mavericks where he was teammates, which Jalen Brunson,
- 19:00Speaker 6: and they would all take their PS five's on road trips,
- 19:03Speaker 6: and I would play Fortnite with Marcus Page and Justin
- 19:06Speaker 6: Jackson and the fourth person in our squad was Jalen Brunson.
- 19:10Speaker 3: He was terrible. He was one of the worst video
- 19:13Speaker 3: game players ever. But he was just as bad.
- 19:15Speaker 4: Right he was focused on basketball, thankfully, because.
- 19:19Speaker 7: I honestly thought Taylor was going to stop at I
- 19:22Speaker 7: used to play Fortnite and that was gonna be his big.
- 19:27Speaker 8: Now you don't, so you focus more on sports.
- 19:28Speaker 4: What do you want us to do with that.
- 19:30Speaker 5: So wait, So so when you play Fortnite with Jalen Brunson,
- 19:33Speaker 5: do you get his contact?
- 19:34Speaker 4: Demfo, how does his work?
- 19:35Speaker 6: I mean, uh, we are friends on PlayStation, so I
- 19:40Speaker 6: could see you like whenever he's on PlayStation. And I've
- 19:43Speaker 6: I've never even like considered reaching out since he's blown
- 19:47Speaker 6: up on the Knicks because it's like I'm writing like
- 19:50Speaker 6: weird songs about how much I love him. It's just
- 19:53Speaker 6: a it's just a very strange dynamic, and it's like
- 19:56Speaker 6: I don't have his number, so I would have to
- 19:58Speaker 6: message him through the PlayStation.
- 20:01Speaker 4: Do what you have to do, Mike wrong.
- 20:03Speaker 8: I'm just about to say, I'm gonna ask him to get.
- 20:06Speaker 4: I'm gonna start, I'm gonna start playing. I mean, I'm
- 20:09Speaker 4: a big gamer.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Playing the Four Nights.
- 20:14Speaker 4: Taylor, can you come over and turn this on?
- 20:17Speaker 8: What did he call call of duty on the show
- 20:19Speaker 8: the other day? Call to Duty?
- 20:26Speaker 4: I did that? Anyway, The next season is the Hawks
- 20:32Speaker 4: season is over? Is that fair?
- 20:34Speaker 6: Is he?
- 20:34Speaker 4: Do you expect that to go back to the Mecca
- 20:36Speaker 4: for a game seven?
- 20:37Speaker 8: Or you think they wrap it up in six?
- 20:39Speaker 7: I think they wrap it up in six. I think
- 20:40Speaker 7: they realize the advantages that they have over the Hawks
- 20:42Speaker 7: are just too great. And you know you're not gonna
- 20:44Speaker 7: get c J to save you. You know they could
- 20:47Speaker 7: go ice cold, and Nicks could and have just a
- 20:50Speaker 7: bad shooting game, but their approach to the game.
- 20:51Speaker 8: I just don't think the Hawks have a chance.

- 22:51Speaker 4: Don't know what's going on in Boston. That series is
- 22:53Speaker 4: so confusing. We were ripping Joe Elpindid yesterday and today.
- 22:57Speaker 4: He's one of the greatest bigs we've ever seen play.
- 23:00Speaker 7: I don't think it's very confusing at all. I think
- 23:02Speaker 7: I mentioned it after the Boston lost that first game.
- 23:04Speaker 7: Is just in the playoffs, specifically, if they're not hitting
- 23:08Speaker 7: their threes, it's gonna be tough.
- 23:10Speaker 8: It's gonna be tough. And in the playoffs, of course, you're.
- 23:12Speaker 7: Gonna get some better defensive efforts and you're gonna have
- 23:14Speaker 7: less three point opportunities.
- 23:16Speaker 4: Kelly, you know what they said, Live by the three,
- 23:18Speaker 4: Die by the three.
- 23:21Speaker 8: You and Joel Embiid was very like.
- 23:25Speaker 3: So.
- 23:25Speaker 7: I was complaining the other day about why do you
- 23:27Speaker 7: have to come back and take all the shots?
- 23:28Speaker 8: And then he came back in this game.
- 23:30Speaker 7: It's like, this is why, because I am a superstar
- 23:33Speaker 7: and you can't stop me. And it's just like, man,
- 23:35Speaker 7: when he's hitting those little mid range fades, and it's
- 23:37Speaker 7: just like, man, I miss this guy. I want to
- 23:39Speaker 7: see him out there all the time, but he's not
- 23:41Speaker 7: out there all the time. I like him better than
- 23:43Speaker 7: Jason Tatum, which is crazy because Tatum's, you know, been
- 23:46Speaker 7: such a I don't know, he done everything right right
- 23:49Speaker 7: for the league. He's been a great superstar by anyone's standards,
- 23:52Speaker 7: but all he does is complain to the refs all
- 23:54Speaker 7: the time, and it drives me up a wall. And
- 23:56Speaker 7: so yeah, I want to see the Sixers make this
- 23:58Speaker 7: team very nervous.
- 24:00Speaker 4: Is he is right about the Celtics Lived by the three,
- 24:02Speaker 4: died by the three? Last night?
- 24:03Speaker 5: They were not very good from three point range. They
- 24:06Speaker 5: were I believe eleven of thirty nine. But is he
- 24:09Speaker 5: One of the concerns that we discussed yesterday about having
- 24:12Speaker 5: Joel and b back is what it would do to
- 24:14Speaker 5: Tyrese MAXI what it would do to Edgecombe as well.
- 24:19Speaker 5: And Bee didn't care about Edgecomb, but he did get
- 24:21Speaker 5: Maxie involved. Like Maxie still had twenty five points ton
- 24:24Speaker 5: of eighteen shooting on Paul George shipped in with sixteen points.
- 24:28Speaker 5: I mean it's tricky man, and B George and Maxie
- 24:31Speaker 5: if all healthy, that's pretty good.
- 24:32Speaker 7: I mean right, yeah, not only pretty good, but pretty
- 24:36Speaker 7: necessary because uh, don't look at the bucks, go right now,
- 24:39Speaker 7: look straight at the camera. I am how many points
- 24:42Speaker 7: did the Philadelphia bench score. I'm gonna say like forty
- 24:49Speaker 7: two seven? What seven of the one hundred and thirteen?
- 24:54Speaker 7: So Joel Paul, George Tyres, maxivj Edgecombe very important if
- 24:58Speaker 7: this team's going to succeed, This one I think is
- 25:01Speaker 7: going to come back to Boston for a Game seven,
- 25:03Speaker 7: and man, I love the nerves of a Boston garden
- 25:07Speaker 7: when it's you know, everything's on the line.
- 25:09Speaker 4: Yes. By the way, tell you see what T and
- 25:11Speaker 4: T and the networks have done with this series.
- 25:12Speaker 5: The Knicks are now the seven o'clock game on Thursday
- 25:15Speaker 5: because they feel like it's not nearly as attractive as
- 25:17Speaker 5: Boston in Philadelphia, which is now the eight o'clock game
- 25:21Speaker 5: on Thursday night.
- 25:21Speaker 4: How about that is?
- 25:23Speaker 3: Yeh?
- 25:23Speaker 6: I saw the stat where from optostats the Sixers trailed
- 25:27Speaker 6: by one entering the fourth quarter. They ended up winning
- 25:30Speaker 6: by sixteen. That's the largest road playoff win in NBA
- 25:35Speaker 6: history by a team that trailed entering the fourth.
- 25:38Speaker 3: It feels like the East is as wide open as ever.
- 25:42Speaker 7: Yeah, it kind of is, especially when you look at
- 25:47Speaker 7: I mean, the Pistons are probably the best example of
- 25:51Speaker 7: you know, playoff experience really matters, and so when you've
- 25:57Speaker 7: got the teams that are experienced, like the Celtics, I mean,
- 26:00Speaker 7: like the Cavaliers, even like the Knicks through what three
- 26:03Speaker 7: games in this series struggling, It's just like, yeah, it
- 26:06Speaker 7: doesn't feel like it feels like anything is possible. Usually
- 26:09Speaker 7: things sort of straighten themselves out as the as the
- 26:13Speaker 7: series go along. Usually the first game of every series
- 26:16Speaker 7: is the most you know, most potential anomaly of the series.
- 26:19Speaker 7: But then once a team gets into a rhythm, finds
- 26:21Speaker 7: its opponent, they'll you know, settle into what they really are.
- 26:25Speaker 7: But right now it seems like we're finding out Detroit Man.
- 26:28Speaker 7: We talked about it yesterday. If kid Cunningham's not on
- 26:31Speaker 7: that team looks average at best.
- 26:32Speaker 6: Does anybody else feel like there's no reason there should
- 26:35Speaker 6: be three playoff games on simultaneously?
- 26:38Speaker 4: Well, I mean you get too often, does it? Well?
- 26:41Speaker 5: You get two well first rounded though, you get two
- 26:43Speaker 5: in the early window, and then you get you know,
- 26:44Speaker 5: you get typically one late game.
- 26:46Speaker 4: Right, That's how it works.
- 26:47Speaker 5: Last night at eight o'clock, at a ten o'clock right
- 26:50Speaker 5: two days ago, they did.
- 26:51Speaker 4: And you know how I know that?
- 26:53Speaker 3: Where I got that? Take from? Where Kenny Beacham, poor.
- 27:01Speaker 8: Frank no longer take you to find it?
- 27:05Speaker 5: Listen, I feel like all these conversations are rendered meaningless
- 27:09Speaker 5: because Victor Webbin Yama is going to win the next
- 27:12Speaker 5: ten NBA Championships.
- 27:14Speaker 7: Well, I mean I've been saying this like the last
- 27:16Speaker 7: couple of weeks. Like everything that we talk about when
- 27:19Speaker 7: it comes to the NBA comes with an understanding that
- 27:23Speaker 7: we are just putting okay See to the side because
- 27:26Speaker 7: nobody really wants them to win outside of Oklahoma City.
- 27:30Speaker 7: But also nobody can really tell you why they're not
- 27:32Speaker 7: gonna win.
- 27:33Speaker 8: Because they're that good. I have a reason, no, yes, yeah,
- 27:36Speaker 8: well it'd be it is you know, the career.
- 27:40Speaker 7: It is exactly what you need, right to bring down
- 27:42Speaker 7: this hated villain, right, this superpower that is okay See immediately.
- 27:48Speaker 8: Comes with this.
- 27:49Speaker 7: I guess you want to call him a superhero. If
- 27:51Speaker 7: they're the villains, that's what you want to see. It's
- 27:53Speaker 7: kind of sad that you can't see it in the finals,
- 27:54Speaker 7: but if that ends up being, you know, the Western
- 27:56Speaker 7: Conference finals, that think it's exactly what everybody's hoping for.
- 27:59Speaker 4: Yeah, is it.
- 28:00Speaker 6: Do you feel like the NBA is looking at the
- 28:02Speaker 6: Thunderer like we have a problem with the way this
- 28:06Speaker 6: team plays or do you think the NBA is kind
- 28:09Speaker 6: of viewing it as if this is a problem for
- 28:12Speaker 6: the short term, eventually something is gonna take care of it,
- 28:16Speaker 6: whether it's salaries or team likes. Do Gods mentioned the
- 28:20Speaker 6: Spurs just overwhelming them?
- 28:22Speaker 4: No, I think.
- 28:22Speaker 7: Okay, So he's a dream franchise for the NBA because
- 28:25Speaker 7: it's showing you, right off the bat first and foremost,
- 28:28Speaker 7: a small market or mid market team.
- 28:31Speaker 4: Anyone can do absolutely run the league.
- 28:33Speaker 7: And they also have done it after the league seemingly
- 28:38Speaker 7: has fixed the CBA to where because obviously every single
- 28:41Speaker 7: time they have to redo the NBA, they're tweaking this
- 28:43Speaker 7: and moving that, making sure that teams can't, you know,
- 28:46Speaker 7: find loopholes, and all these teams just can spend more
- 28:48Speaker 7: money and be good like what happens in baseball. It
- 28:51Speaker 7: seems like they've done a great job with that. That's
- 28:54Speaker 7: all the aprons everywhere really have affected, you know, the
- 28:58Speaker 7: way teams can operate. And so if you have that,
- 29:02Speaker 7: then you have an example of which dude just said,
- 29:05Speaker 7: anybody can do this right now, it's this team. One
- 29:07Speaker 7: day it'll be a big market team like the Lakers
- 29:10Speaker 7: or the Knicks, and the next it could be the
- 29:11Speaker 7: Indiana Pacers.
- 29:12Speaker 8: But this is exactly what they want.
- 29:14Speaker 5: But the NBA, so, yes, they like Oklahoma City being
- 29:17Speaker 5: this good, and they would like them to remain competitive,
- 29:20Speaker 5: but they would prefer a champion that plays a more
- 29:23Speaker 5: esthetically pleasing style of basketball.
- 29:26Speaker 4: Is that fair? Meaning?
- 29:27Speaker 5: If OKC could be a team that's consistently Western Conference finals,
- 29:31Speaker 5: NBA Finals, win a couple of championships, great, But what
- 29:35Speaker 5: the NBA would prefer is someone like Wendy.
- 29:38Speaker 7: Yeah, if this was happening in Minnesota, if Minnesota was
- 29:41Speaker 7: the you know, Sam Presty was running the Timberwolves and
- 29:43Speaker 7: their centerpiece was Anthony Edwards.
- 29:45Speaker 8: Yeah, I think that would draw in more people. I
- 29:47Speaker 8: think that's probably the one knock on them.
- 29:50Speaker 7: But in terms of examples of franchises, yeah, that's a
- 29:53Speaker 7: pretty much dream franchise.
- 29:54Speaker 5: Is he what do you think Boston and Philadelphia in
- 29:57Speaker 5: Game six? So you think that's going back to Boston
- 30:00Speaker 5: for a Game seven and oh, Celtic fans are gonna
- 30:02Speaker 5: be on edge.
- 30:03Speaker 4: I hope that happens.
- 30:04Speaker 7: Yes, Well, it just feels like the South of the
- 30:07Speaker 7: seventy six ers and Joel have reached the I don't
- 30:10Speaker 7: give a bleep mode, and it's just like the nerves
- 30:13Speaker 7: are out the window. And so if Joel can just
- 30:17Speaker 7: you know, keep his game the way it looked yesterday,
- 30:20Speaker 7: it was composed, yes was you know, he was basically
- 30:23Speaker 7: controlled the offense.
- 30:24Speaker 8: Everything was the best player on the floor, and it
- 30:27Speaker 8: was it was surprising to see.
- 30:28Speaker 7: And so I think that is him basically saying to himself, Look,
- 30:32Speaker 7: there's only one way I lose this reputation. It's by
- 30:35Speaker 7: winning and by being healthy and by performing. And so
- 30:39Speaker 7: if I'm out here, give me the ball, I've got
- 30:41Speaker 7: to be me. And if I can't bring us to
- 30:43Speaker 7: the next round, into the round after that, it's.
- 30:45Speaker 4: All on me.
- 30:46Speaker 7: And so I feel like when you when you've come
- 30:47Speaker 7: to that realization and you're just like, all right, I'm
- 30:49Speaker 7: just gonna go.
- 30:50Speaker 8: He can play at his best.
- 30:52Speaker 5: Is he?
- 30:52Speaker 6: There's two Game five's tonight, the Magic at the Pistons
- 30:56Speaker 6: and then the Rockets at the Lakers LA.
- 30:58Speaker 4: There's another one just no one cares about it, but anyway,
- 31:00Speaker 4: go ahead.
- 31:01Speaker 3: Oh okay, So I meant to preface it.
- 31:03Speaker 6: There's two where the series is three to one, Orlando
- 31:07Speaker 6: leading three to one against the Pistons, the Lakers leading
- 31:10Speaker 6: three to one against the Rockets. If I told you
- 31:14Speaker 6: those two series, the team down three to one is
- 31:16Speaker 6: going to come back and win? Which one would you pick?
- 31:20Speaker 8: It's the Rockets easily. And this is my favorite take
- 31:22Speaker 8: of the playoffs.
- 31:23Speaker 7: You're ready for this, Like, first of all, but what
- 31:27Speaker 7: what was the predictive when they were up six points
- 31:31Speaker 7: with thirty seconds left?
- 31:32Speaker 8: It where they had ninety nine point.
- 31:33Speaker 4: Seven winning that game?
- 31:35Speaker 7: You could say that they should have won that game, right,
- 31:38Speaker 7: they should be coming back to LA two two right,
- 31:42Speaker 7: And again you've got Alpi Shangoon kind of thinking a
- 31:45Speaker 7: little bit like Joe l Embiid, like, look, I've got
- 31:48Speaker 7: to perform. There's nope, just give me the ball. I'm
- 31:50Speaker 7: just gonna do my thing. I think they can bring
- 31:53Speaker 7: this to seven games. I think if you like you're
- 31:56Speaker 7: you're reintroducing Austin Reeves two, in which if he's super
- 32:00Speaker 7: were healthy and he's you know, gotten his five on
- 32:01Speaker 7: five's a lot on you know, on the practice courts,
- 32:03Speaker 7: then great, he's probably gonna come in and have a
- 32:05Speaker 7: good start.
- 32:06Speaker 8: But if he's rusty and things aren't going that well.
- 32:10Speaker 7: The Rockets take game five. Game six is in Houston. Obviously,
- 32:14Speaker 7: that Lakers look terrible the last time they played in Houston.
- 32:16Speaker 7: Say what you will about why maybe their their minds
- 32:19Speaker 7: weren't in it because they were up three to oh.
- 32:22Speaker 8: I think not only could they take it to seven.
- 32:24Speaker 7: And if let's just say, hypothetically, the Rockets win and
- 32:27Speaker 7: become the first team to come back from three to oh,
- 32:30Speaker 7: how great would it be that Lebron James is on
- 32:32Speaker 7: the other side of that history Like that, Lebron James
- 32:35Speaker 7: is gonna all the things that he's done in this
- 32:38Speaker 7: in this NBA world, and he will also be the
- 32:40Speaker 7: leader of a team who lost after taking a three
- 32:43Speaker 7: zero lead.
- 32:44Speaker 4: Yeah, but he's phenomenal.
- 32:45Speaker 5: Yeah, but he could say, listen, Luca and Reeves, they
- 32:48Speaker 5: came back, We're better off without them, just fine when
- 32:52Speaker 5: it was just me, I mean, we're up three to one.
- 32:53Speaker 8: About he could just say, not my fault, I got
- 32:56Speaker 8: us up three to one.
- 32:57Speaker 7: Yeah, and all of a sudden we have help, and
- 32:58Speaker 7: all of a sudden, out my fault. And so yeah,
- 33:01Speaker 7: he would be free, but still.
- 33:02Speaker 4: Part of history.
- 33:03Speaker 5: This is a classic win win situation for Lebron right now.
- 33:06Speaker 5: And he's the reason they lose. It's somebody else's fault.
- 33:09Speaker 6: How about that, Stu, I have you on the Mount
- 33:13Speaker 6: Rushmore of Thank you Sports Takes? Yeah, where would you?
- 33:18Speaker 6: Where would you have Skip Bayless? Because Skip Bayless said
- 33:21Speaker 6: something that made me laugh. But I'm curious your thoughts
- 33:23Speaker 6: on where Skip Bayless in the sports take game?
- 33:26Speaker 4: Is he on my Mount Rushmore? Is that what you're asking?
- 33:29Speaker 3: Yeah? Would he be?
- 33:30Speaker 4: I mean Steven A is on there, Christopher mad Dog
- 33:33Speaker 4: Russo is on there. Man, I'm not going to put
- 33:38Speaker 4: myself on there. I'm humble.
- 33:39Speaker 5: You guys know that I am good, So I'll put
- 33:43Speaker 5: I'll put Francessa on there as well, and perhaps Sid Rosenberg.
- 33:47Speaker 8: I'm joking about Sid.
- 33:52Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 33:52Speaker 4: I can't think of what. Yeah, I'll give it the Skip.
- 33:54Speaker 4: That's why Skip's good.
- 33:56Speaker 6: So I feel like part of a good sports take
- 33:58Speaker 6: is when others are Z and you got a zag.
- 34:01Speaker 4: Yes.
- 34:01Speaker 3: So Skip Bayless, like.
- 34:03Speaker 6: The rest of America, watched the Knicks absolutely destroy the
- 34:08Speaker 6: Hawks yesterday and Skip Bayless's take from that game. Hawks
- 34:12Speaker 6: have the Knicks right where.
- 34:13Speaker 8: They want, meaning what.
- 34:20Speaker 4: Listen?
- 34:20Speaker 5: If he was on the outside looking in before last night,
- 34:24Speaker 5: he is now firmly entredged on my Matt Rushmore of
- 34:27Speaker 5: sports Takers. Okay, Mikey, did Taylor say before that he's
- 34:32Speaker 5: not gonna rip Jalen Brunson.
- 34:33Speaker 4: It doesn't matter. He doesn't care about the results.
- 34:35Speaker 5: Because if you have a fake piece of paper like
- 34:38Speaker 5: Taylor does and a fake pen, I want you to
- 34:40Speaker 5: write down the day that he said that, because I
- 34:42Speaker 5: guarantee you big spot against Boston in a Game six
- 34:46Speaker 5: or a Game seven, and Brunson comes up lame, I
- 34:49Speaker 5: guarantee you. The next day on the air, Taylor is
- 34:53Speaker 5: ripping Brunson and he no longer has changed Taylor's life.
- 34:56Speaker 4: How about that?
- 34:57Speaker 10: Nope, Jalen Brunson misses a wide open layup and it's
- 35:00Speaker 10: Mike Brown's fault.
- 35:01Speaker 1: That's where Taylor's at right now.
- 35:05Speaker 6: Yeah, so Mike Mikey is a lot closer with his
- 35:08Speaker 6: take than you are, Stue, because this is kind of
- 35:11Speaker 6: the same thing with that. Now, Derek Jeter had the
- 35:14Speaker 6: World Series, but the same thing that happened with Derek
- 35:17Speaker 6: Jeter later in his career where people are like, oh,
- 35:20Speaker 6: Derek Jeter's this this poor defensive shortstop. I'm like, give
- 35:23Speaker 6: me a break, Like, Derek Jeter has given me so
- 35:26Speaker 6: many positive moments in my Yankee fandom, that he is
- 35:30Speaker 6: so far above criticism for the for the remainder of
- 35:34Speaker 6: his playing career, and that's that's very close to where
- 35:37Speaker 6: Jalen bruns I know.
- 35:38Speaker 4: But he gave you like the greatest moments.
- 35:40Speaker 5: He gave you the greatest moments you could possibly have.
- 35:43Speaker 5: He gave you world championship after world championship after world championship,
- 35:47Speaker 5: and made amazing historical plays while winning those world championships.
- 35:52Speaker 4: Brunson hasn't made it to the finals yet.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Brunson gave you a three to two lead on the
- 35:57Speaker 1: Hawks in the first round.
- 36:00Speaker 3: He said should have been over yesterday
