- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I almost famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hey guys, what's up.
- 0:07Speaker 3: It's almost famous. It's Jess Ashley right now because Ben
- 0:11Speaker 3: is stuck in traffic. So if you see him, just
- 0:13Speaker 3: like pop into this interview, know that he's late to
- 0:17Speaker 3: arrive but always appreciated when he's here. The other person
- 0:21Speaker 3: that I have in the room with me digitally is
- 0:24Speaker 3: Rachel Rekya.
- 0:25Speaker 4: Hello, Rachel.
- 0:27Speaker 5: Hi, ash It's fine. I like it better home me
- 0:30Speaker 5: just do us too anyway, Love you, Ben?
- 0:32Speaker 3: Oh my god, why do you say that?
- 0:35Speaker 5: The last time meet you and Gabby did that girl
- 0:37Speaker 5: chat one was probably one of my favorite podcasts I've
- 0:41Speaker 5: ever recorded.
- 0:42Speaker 3: We did, we had some good tea in that, but
- 0:44Speaker 3: you know what we didn't have And not to like
- 0:46Speaker 3: make this interview not about you right off the bat,
- 0:49Speaker 3: because I want it to be about you because you're
- 0:51Speaker 3: about to be a star on Bachelor of Paradise. But
- 0:53Speaker 3: at that point Gabby was dating her girlfriend Robbie, and
- 0:58Speaker 3: nobody knew in that room I'm assuming except for.
- 1:01Speaker 4: You, Yes, yes, Gabby.
- 1:05Speaker 5: It was kind of like very under wraps for a
- 1:08Speaker 5: long time, which I love that they did. They kept
- 1:10Speaker 5: it kind of just in between them too. But yes,
- 1:14Speaker 5: very exciting just met Robbie. Actually she is so incredible,
- 1:20Speaker 5: so very happy for them both.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Okay, nice, So how did Gabby come to you saying
- 1:25Speaker 3: that you had a girlfriend after you guys both had
- 1:28Speaker 3: a big pool of men to date together.
- 1:31Speaker 5: Ye As, So she had just gotten off of Dancing
- 1:35Speaker 5: with the Stars tour, which was just a whirlwind, and
- 1:38Speaker 5: we were out to dinner, we were catching up, and
- 1:41Speaker 5: she just kind of mentioned that she had been like
- 1:44Speaker 5: thinking about it, that she had.
- 1:45Speaker 4: Gone on a couple of dates.
- 1:47Speaker 5: And I think at this point her date was set
- 1:50Speaker 5: up with Robbie, but I don't think she had gone on.
- 1:53Speaker 4: So we were all just super excited, so happy for her.
- 1:57Speaker 5: I think discovering that part of yourself is so huge,
- 2:00Speaker 5: so just like being able to be a part of it.
- 2:02Speaker 4: I just am so happy for her.
- 2:05Speaker 3: So there's some people out there saying that like Colton dated,
- 2:09Speaker 3: you know, he had a whole season of girls to date,
- 2:12Speaker 3: and then like the girls could have felt possibly, you know,
- 2:16Speaker 3: let on when they find out that he's actually interested
- 2:18Speaker 3: in men years later. So within a year, the guys
- 2:22Speaker 3: of your season find out that one of the girls
- 2:25Speaker 3: that one of the girls that they were dating ends
- 2:28Speaker 3: up to be interested in women. Do you think there's
- 2:30Speaker 3: a double standard on how the reaction went down between
- 2:33Speaker 3: Colton and Gabby.
- 2:36Speaker 5: I think it's a little different. Well, actually, I don't know.
- 2:39Speaker 5: I would assume Colton is only interested in men because
- 2:43Speaker 5: you didn't like a where is dated men, she was
- 2:48Speaker 5: engaged to a man. I think she will always have
- 2:51Speaker 5: a part of her that still is interested in men.
- 2:54Speaker 5: But I think right decided to explore something she maybe
- 2:58Speaker 5: has in the past.
- 3:00Speaker 4: And I really feel like it's been.
- 3:01Speaker 5: All positive across the board from the guys I have
- 3:04Speaker 5: heard speak about it. So I don't know, like, what
- 3:07Speaker 5: do you think about it?
- 3:08Speaker 3: No, I think that I think that it's really nice
- 3:09Speaker 3: that everybody is just saying, you know, she they're they're
- 3:12Speaker 3: happy that she's just doing her thing. Yeah, I'm happy
- 3:15Speaker 3: when you ever she's with whoever, you know, whatever their sex.
- 3:19Speaker 5: Right, because I've seen comments too and they're like, oh, well,
- 3:22Speaker 5: the whole season was a waste, Like it was a
- 3:24Speaker 5: waste no matter what, just because we both didn't end
- 3:27Speaker 5: up engaged.
- 3:27Speaker 4: So I guess it really doesn't matter who she dates.
- 3:29Speaker 3: After speaking of your season being a quote waste, which
- 3:35Speaker 3: you guys got plenty from it, even if you didn't
- 3:38Speaker 3: get fiances.
- 3:39Speaker 2: That's stuck, Tino has.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Said recently, and he's actually been quite quiet, so I'm
- 3:46Speaker 3: surprised to hear this headline from him. Maybe we're misinterpreting it,
- 3:50Speaker 3: but he said that he is planning on watching your
- 3:53Speaker 3: season A Bachelor in Paradise. How does that make you feel?
- 3:58Speaker 4: Well, that wasn't the full quote, Okay, what is it?
- 4:01Speaker 5: No, he said he said he will be watching, but
- 4:04Speaker 5: he will not be watching me.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Woo.
- 4:07Speaker 3: So he's just gonna press fast forward through you.
- 4:11Speaker 5: I don't know, maybe it's just to close his eyes
- 4:12Speaker 5: every time I come on screen. I was very shocked
- 4:16Speaker 5: to see that. Honestly, it feels like so much time
- 4:18Speaker 5: has passed. I mean, I talked to you the last time.
- 4:21Speaker 5: We know he's moved on, he's dating, so happy for him,
- 4:25Speaker 5: like wanting him to be happy, so kind of hearing
- 4:28Speaker 5: the negative remarks, it was very shocking.
- 4:32Speaker 4: So yeah, a little disappointed. Honestly, that is super.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Weird, Like why would he even be invested enough to
- 4:39Speaker 3: watch the show if he's going to be fast forwarding
- 4:42Speaker 3: through you? Like, why does he care so much to
- 4:44Speaker 3: watch the show to like have to go through the
- 4:48Speaker 3: you know, difficulty of fast forwarding through you on a
- 4:51Speaker 3: show that like you're gonna be very intricately a part of.
- 4:55Speaker 5: He said he wanted to watch Tyler and Avon, who
- 4:57Speaker 5: you know may or not be on the be We'll see.
- 5:01Speaker 3: I think we don't see them in previews.
- 5:05Speaker 5: I mean there is one fully about Tyler's apps, Okay,
- 5:09Speaker 5: but never you never know who's gonna show up.
- 5:14Speaker 3: We think we know that Brayden shows up, and we
- 5:18Speaker 3: know that they placed you guys next to each other
- 5:20Speaker 3: at one of the recent tell alls.
- 5:22Speaker 4: Why with Braiden? Yeah, who knows. Everyone's gonna have to
- 5:30Speaker 4: tune in and find out.
- 5:33Speaker 3: We recently also heard from Wells regarding Bachelor and Paradise
- 5:38Speaker 3: cast that this cast has more former leads than anyone
- 5:44Speaker 3: else any other season, and I was like, hmm, but
- 5:47Speaker 3: all I can think of cast wise is that Rachel
- 5:51Speaker 3: is a former lead. And then he told us we'll see.
- 5:56Speaker 3: So so I'm looking at your and it's kind of telling.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Is the entire Bachelor of Paradise cast released yet? Or
- 6:06Speaker 3: are we going to have somebody who's not on the
- 6:08Speaker 3: list or not showing up at all in the teasers
- 6:11Speaker 3: we've seen thus far.
- 6:13Speaker 5: I think that this season is definitely stacked with bachelorettes.
- 6:18Speaker 5: I think the more bachettes the better, honestly. But who
- 6:23Speaker 5: is going to stay to date? Who's just coming down,
- 6:25Speaker 5: you know, to deliver a date card. That's going to
- 6:29Speaker 5: be something that everyone's going to have to tune in
- 6:31Speaker 5: and find out.
- 6:32Speaker 4: I for sure I am there to date.
- 6:34Speaker 5: But everyone else will have to wait and see what
- 6:37Speaker 5: they come down to the beach to do.
- 6:40Speaker 3: What encouraged you to go on this on Bachelor in
- 6:43Speaker 3: Paradise because before Becca Kuferin kind of well, she got
- 6:48Speaker 3: great success from going on Bachelor in Paradise and she
- 6:52Speaker 3: was a former lead, very popular one. She sort of
- 6:56Speaker 3: I think paved the way for it to be cool
- 6:58Speaker 3: and acceptable for a former lead who didn't have success
- 7:01Speaker 3: in the past to go on another bachelor show. So
- 7:04Speaker 3: was there any convincing that needed to happen with you
- 7:06Speaker 3: or were you pretty much like, yeah, I love this experience,
- 7:09Speaker 3: We're just gonna do it again.
- 7:11Speaker 5: Yeah. So I this all started out as something where
- 7:15Speaker 5: they were kind of like, would you be interested? I
- 7:17Speaker 5: was like yeah, like joking, never thinking it was gonna happen,
- 7:21Speaker 5: and we start getting closer and closer to it, and
- 7:24Speaker 5: I start thinking about it as more of a possibility.
- 7:27Speaker 4: But it's actually funny because you.
- 7:28Speaker 5: And Ben were the two people who found out first,
- 7:31Speaker 5: because at the.
- 7:32Speaker 4: Time I was still keeping yeah, and the last time
- 7:36Speaker 4: we were together, you guys were like, are you gonna
- 7:38Speaker 4: do it?
- 7:39Speaker 5: And Ben actually had an hour drive back with him
- 7:42Speaker 5: and he really convinced me.
- 7:45Speaker 4: I was so on the fence.
- 7:46Speaker 5: And then Becca was the one I ultimately talked to
- 7:49Speaker 5: that really convinced me to go. And there's just so
- 7:51Speaker 5: much like success obviously you Jared Dawson, like, how can
- 7:56Speaker 5: you not take that opportunity if it's in front of you,
- 7:59Speaker 5: especially because mine it wasn't even like I got to
- 8:03Speaker 5: be successful for a little bit, like it failed before
- 8:06Speaker 5: the show even ended. So it was just I figured,
- 8:10Speaker 5: if if this is gonna work for me, it's gonna
- 8:12Speaker 5: be paradise.
- 8:13Speaker 4: And you guys all convincing and here we are.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Well, I'm so happy about that because I'm just such
- 8:19Speaker 3: a fan of the shows and I'm also just such
- 8:22Speaker 3: a fan of the experience. Yes, it like led me
- 8:25Speaker 3: to absolute wonderfulness with my family, today, But it's just like,
- 8:29Speaker 3: I don't know. The growth that happens when you've partaken
- 8:33Speaker 3: one of the shows and the friendships that are formed,
- 8:36Speaker 3: just like always seems worth it to me. And I
- 8:38Speaker 3: know that like other lums may not feel as passionate
- 8:42Speaker 3: about it as I do, but like I'm always like, oh.
- 8:45Speaker 6: They like want you back.
- 8:46Speaker 2: You have to do it.
- 8:47Speaker 3: It's gonna be so great, and you know.
- 8:51Speaker 5: I don't know, yeah no, but like exactly what you said,
- 8:54Speaker 5: I feel like I feel so strongly about it and
- 8:56Speaker 5: doing it three times, it was such a different experience
- 8:58Speaker 5: each time, and you probably felt the same way each time.
- 9:00Speaker 5: You do it so different and I'm so so happy
- 9:03Speaker 5: I did it.
- 9:05Speaker 4: My favorite experiences A part is franchise.
- 9:08Speaker 6: Honestly totally agree.
- 9:22Speaker 3: Okay, so you are also in Paradise with a few
- 9:26Speaker 3: guys from your season. I know that in our last
- 9:30Speaker 3: interview you said that you were like pretty much not
- 9:32Speaker 3: interested in revisiting anybody from your cast. However, when you're
- 9:38Speaker 3: there in Paradise and underneath the Bachelor bubble again and
- 9:42Speaker 3: you kind of lose all space and time, did feelings
- 9:47Speaker 3: reemerge for anyone in your past?
- 9:51Speaker 5: So I wanted to go down and I know the
- 9:53Speaker 5: last time we talked to Mike, you know, I would
- 9:54Speaker 5: never do it again, but I wanted to really give
- 9:57Speaker 5: Paradise the chance it deserved fully, and I think I'm
- 10:03Speaker 5: not the same person that I was when I was
- 10:05Speaker 5: the bachelorette, So these guys have probably changed so much too,
- 10:08Speaker 5: not that they needed to, but being able to meet
- 10:10Speaker 5: some of these guys again for the second time, it
- 10:13Speaker 5: was really incredible.
- 10:15Speaker 4: And I mean, maybe.
- 10:17Speaker 5: Not to give too much away, but I think there
- 10:20Speaker 5: might be a little bit of a rekindling, maybe with
- 10:23Speaker 5: an ex flang, So we'll have to wait and see.
- 10:27Speaker 5: But yeah, I was definitely super excited to see some
- 10:30Speaker 5: old faces down on the beach.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Cool good answer. We like to hear that because it
- 10:36Speaker 3: gets us excited. Was what was the guy that you had,
- 10:42Speaker 3: like on your list that you wanted to meet down there?
- 10:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:47Speaker 4: So I actually didn't have a list, which.
- 10:49Speaker 5: I I know, I thought the list was like not real.
- 10:54Speaker 5: I thought it was just kind of like people were like, oh,
- 10:56Speaker 5: I want to see so and so. So I came
- 10:58Speaker 5: down just fully like like wanting to meet everyone and
- 11:02Speaker 5: just experience it. And I think that might have hurt
- 11:07Speaker 5: me just a little, just because I don't think I
- 11:10Speaker 5: was as prepared as they came down with plans, plans A, B,
- 11:15Speaker 5: and C, and I was just I don't think people
- 11:18Speaker 5: expected me to be there, and then I didn't have
- 11:20Speaker 5: a plan, so I was floundering a little bit. I
- 11:23Speaker 5: feel like in the beginning trying to catch my footing.
- 11:27Speaker 5: It was definitely a transition, but I eventually feel like
- 11:33Speaker 5: I got the hang of it.
- 11:34Speaker 4: Maybe should have planned a little bit better.
- 11:37Speaker 3: Wells told us that you were kind of like a
- 11:41Speaker 3: Mama Bear figure almost because you have been so experienced
- 11:46Speaker 3: in the process that possibly you were like more of
- 11:50Speaker 3: a guider than like somebody jumping into the dating pool.
- 11:56Speaker 3: Does this have to do with you not having numbers too?
- 12:01Speaker 5: I definitely had a conversation with Wells. He definitely kind
- 12:06Speaker 5: of had to steer me in the right direction because
- 12:09Speaker 5: I feel like I've just done this process in so
- 12:13Speaker 5: many different ways that I, you know, wanted to help
- 12:16Speaker 5: everyone and give everyone advice, and then I kind of
- 12:19Speaker 5: put myself in the situation where maybe I was like
- 12:21Speaker 5: friend zoning myself to everyone without realizing.
- 12:24Speaker 4: It because I was just trying to comfort everyone.
- 12:27Speaker 5: But yeah, he definitely had to give me a little
- 12:30Speaker 5: bit of a talking to get.
- 12:32Speaker 4: Out of that mind zone.
- 12:33Speaker 5: It was just a hard transition from like batcherette onto
- 12:37Speaker 5: the beach. So yeah, I definitely struggled just a little
- 12:40Speaker 5: bit in the beginning, and I think.
- 12:42Speaker 3: Well, what are you looking for and a guy there
- 12:44Speaker 3: that you haven't found before.
- 12:46Speaker 5: I think mainly I really really wanted to meet someone
- 12:50Speaker 5: who I was able to form a really solid friendship with. First, Okay, like,
- 12:56Speaker 5: these are the values I want, and of course those
- 12:58Speaker 5: are still the things I want, but I wasn't prioritizing
- 13:01Speaker 5: like a friendship, and I think that's what really kind
- 13:04Speaker 5: of hurt me in the end, because that is so
- 13:07Speaker 5: important in a relationship. So the first thing on the
- 13:10Speaker 5: beach I wanted to do is make sure that I
- 13:12Speaker 5: could see a life partnership in a friendship as well.
- 13:15Speaker 5: So that's definitely something I did different, I think this
- 13:19Speaker 5: time than the last couple of times.
- 13:21Speaker 3: People are always curious about the living conditions in Bachelor
- 13:25Speaker 3: in Paradise because it's kind of like camping in the tropics.
- 13:30Speaker 3: How did you deal with that and like what was
- 13:33Speaker 3: what was your tricks to survival?
- 13:39Speaker 5: So I, of course have had all my friends go down,
- 13:42Speaker 5: tell me it's going to be raining and there's me
- 13:44Speaker 5: crabs in my bed and it's going to be like insane.
- 13:47Speaker 5: And we actually got a pretty mild summer. We were
- 13:50Speaker 5: very lucky. It didn't rain much, actually didn't rain at
- 13:53Speaker 5: all while I was there, and I mean it wasn't
- 13:57Speaker 5: too hot. But I did bring like one of those
- 13:59Speaker 5: portable fans and it died within the first.
- 14:03Speaker 4: Couple of days. I don't know how, but I.
- 14:06Speaker 5: Just, you know, tried my best to embreak elements and
- 14:10Speaker 5: just make the most of it, like you're just gonna
- 14:12Speaker 5: look sweaty and the slickbag. Butns were definitely in the
- 14:16Speaker 5: summer for sure, so thank god they're like trendy now.
- 14:20Speaker 3: Yes, absolutely, all right, So you you rap Paradise a
- 14:24Speaker 3: couple months ago. We hope that you're with a guy
- 14:28Speaker 3: or you know, you you have some good friendships from it,
- 14:32Speaker 3: but like, where are you with piloting right now?
- 14:37Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 14:37Speaker 5: So for me, I went back to teach in between
- 14:42Speaker 5: The Bachelor and the Bachelorette, and it was really difficult,
- 14:47Speaker 5: I think, especially being in a really male dominated industry,
- 14:51Speaker 5: getting everyone to take me seriously in general's already one
- 14:55Speaker 5: thing being on TV while I was doing it was
- 14:58Speaker 5: really really hard. The guys would like watch the show
- 15:01Speaker 5: and people would talk about it. And so after Rechelorette,
- 15:05Speaker 5: it was like, I'm gonna give myself some time off,
- 15:07Speaker 5: and when Paradise came up, I'm like, oh no, I'm
- 15:09Speaker 5: gonna have to take more time off. But I think
- 15:11Speaker 5: I've just gotten to the point where I'm just gonna
- 15:14Speaker 5: accept it for what it is. I really want to
- 15:16Speaker 5: get back to flying. So the boys are just gonna
- 15:20Speaker 5: have to deal with it while it happens. But yeah,
- 15:23Speaker 5: it's just it's something that's hard to navigate. But I
- 15:26Speaker 5: think it's really something that I've missed for a really
- 15:29Speaker 5: long time. So I'm excited to get back into teaching.
- 15:32Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, Okay, that's so exciting. I was worried
- 15:35Speaker 3: that you were going to lead that conversation into like
- 15:37Speaker 3: so we're just gonna take like a semi permanent pause.
- 15:41Speaker 3: But you're actually getting back into it. So when are
- 15:43Speaker 3: you officially starting?
- 15:45Speaker 5: So I have a really good friend that lives down
- 15:47Speaker 5: here I went to college with, and so he and
- 15:50Speaker 5: I are going to go back up and do reviewing
- 15:52Speaker 5: because I've been out of practice for almost a year,
- 15:55Speaker 5: which is the longest I've ever gone without flying.
- 15:58Speaker 4: So he's gonna take me back up very.
- 16:00Speaker 5: Soon, within the next week or so, and get back
- 16:03Speaker 5: in to hang at things, get back into like the
- 16:06Speaker 5: teaching brain because I've been like just all over the
- 16:11Speaker 5: place for the past two years. But I'm really excited
- 16:14Speaker 5: to get back in the air. And everyone's always like
- 16:16Speaker 5: all over my Instagram, like you gave up flying, and
- 16:19Speaker 5: I'm like, I promise I didn't. I just like needed
- 16:21Speaker 5: a second, so excited for everyone to like come along
- 16:24Speaker 5: in that journey as well.
- 16:26Speaker 3: Okay, so we know that Pilot peat was not in Paradise,
- 16:29Speaker 3: although we've all said on multiple podcasts we think that
- 16:32Speaker 3: he'd be a great Paradise cast member. He's like made
- 16:36Speaker 3: for reality TV, but we've only seen him in the
- 16:38Speaker 3: Bachelor role, you know, So wouldn't it been a cool thing?
- 16:43Speaker 3: And I don't know why I'm just hypothetically just coming
- 16:45Speaker 3: up with dates with you right now, But like if
- 16:47Speaker 3: you and Pilot Pete both led a date on Bachelor
- 16:51Speaker 3: in Paradise where it was like girls team boys, team whatever,
- 16:54Speaker 3: and you're both flying separately in different.
- 16:56Speaker 4: Planes you're facing there, actually is a pilot Peat in
- 17:00Speaker 4: your nice Oh the.
- 17:04Speaker 3: Other pilot Pete two point oh, two point oh.
- 17:08Speaker 2: I heard this guy's a great dude too.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Do we like this new pilot Pete romantically?
- 17:14Speaker 1: Oh?
- 17:14Speaker 4: Who knows? I mean, who knows?
- 17:17Speaker 7: I think I do after all the good things I've
- 17:19Speaker 7: heard about him. He sounds like a cat.
- 17:22Speaker 4: He's a great guy. He's a really great guy, and
- 17:26Speaker 4: he's funny.
- 17:26Speaker 3: I make you guys have a lot in common.
- 17:29Speaker 4: Yes, and sometimes I feel like that could be a
- 17:31Speaker 4: good thing more a bad thing. So we'll have to
- 17:33Speaker 4: wait and see.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Rachel's good to see you. It's good to be here.
- 17:37Speaker 4: He's Ben.
- 17:38Speaker 5: Who would have thought after our car ride, me and
- 17:40Speaker 5: Ashley were just talking like you guys were the first
- 17:42Speaker 5: people who found out I was going to Paradise.
- 17:45Speaker 2: Well, no, that's not true. That's not true at all.
- 17:48Speaker 7: In fact, you were still questioning in our car ride
- 17:50Speaker 7: if you're going to Paradise, And I think I was
- 17:52Speaker 7: in the camp of you should go.
- 17:54Speaker 2: I think you had already made your decision.
- 17:56Speaker 7: You just didn't want to like tell us, yes, you're convinced,
- 18:00Speaker 7: you're a little freaked out about the idea, But we
- 18:04Speaker 7: were both in the camp of you should make this work.
- 18:08Speaker 4: Yes, I was so on the fence.
- 18:10Speaker 5: I really wanted to go, but I kept thinking like,
- 18:13Speaker 5: is this the right thing to do?
- 18:15Speaker 4: Is it gonna work?
- 18:17Speaker 5: Is it gonna be just like embarrassing that I like
- 18:19Speaker 5: go again and if something didn't work out, But I'm
- 18:23Speaker 5: so happy I did it, like one of the best
- 18:25Speaker 5: decisions I ever made.
- 18:36Speaker 3: Okay, Rzel, this is such a hilarious vanity question. But
- 18:40Speaker 3: I know that the internet is taken quite the opinions
- 18:44Speaker 3: on your eyebrows being bleached, and you always have comebacks
- 18:49Speaker 3: for them. What's your ultimate comeback?
- 18:50Speaker 2: Here?
- 18:53Speaker 5: The ultimate comeback? Well, someone said I looked like Boltimore
- 18:57Speaker 5: the other day, and I was like, well, is it
- 18:59Speaker 5: at least like in a hot way? But they're not
- 19:04Speaker 5: bleached in paradise. So it's just like a new It's
- 19:06Speaker 5: like a phase I'm going through.
- 19:08Speaker 7: Wait time, understand this is this is where I have
- 19:11Speaker 7: the most fun on this podcast. I have no idea
- 19:13Speaker 7: why or what is happening, Like, why would you your
- 19:16Speaker 7: eyebrows bleached?
- 19:18Speaker 4: I just bleach them.
- 19:19Speaker 2: OK's just that it's just the thing.
- 19:21Speaker 7: I mean, That's what I'm saying, is I have I
- 19:23Speaker 7: don't keep up on these trends, and I don't understand
- 19:25Speaker 7: what's happening in the world. So like, it's just a
- 19:27Speaker 7: thing that you want to do. It's like cutting your
- 19:29Speaker 7: hair short or letting it grow out.
- 19:33Speaker 5: Yeah, so I just bleach them to match the blonde.
- 19:37Speaker 5: But normally when people have blonde hair, they bleach their
- 19:40Speaker 5: eyebrows to look darker. So everyone's really upset about the brows.
- 19:45Speaker 4: But I think, do you, girl, I just keep doing
- 19:50Speaker 4: it now.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Do you kind of love just snapping back at people.
- 19:55Speaker 4: I just think it's funny. I'm like, why not, Like,
- 19:58Speaker 4: why not bleach them?
- 19:59Speaker 2: I don't know, Rachel.
- 20:00Speaker 7: I've known you since your time on the show, and
- 20:04Speaker 7: I would say this, I don't want to speak for you.
- 20:07Speaker 7: I've thoroughly enjoyed our times together, and I feel like
- 20:09Speaker 7: we've had moments where we've gotten to really have life
- 20:13Speaker 7: conversations and life moments where I've gotten to know you
- 20:15Speaker 7: better and appreciate you a ton. I think very highly
- 20:18Speaker 7: of you. So that's where I'm coming from in this statement. Okay,
- 20:22Speaker 7: when I first met you, I felt like you wouldn't
- 20:28Speaker 7: have handled the criticisms as well as you're handling them now. Like,
- 20:35Speaker 7: I think it would have really bothered you. I think
- 20:36Speaker 7: it probably would have kept you up at night. I
- 20:37Speaker 7: think it would have been one of those conversations we
- 20:39Speaker 7: would have had where You're like, I don't get it,
- 20:41Speaker 7: and I think I remember something similar when we talked
- 20:45Speaker 7: a couple of years ago, where I was like, it
- 20:46Speaker 7: happens to everybody, like You're never gonna do this thing right,
- 20:48Speaker 7: and you're just you got to build some Cali skin.
- 20:50Speaker 7: So can you talk to me a little bit about
- 20:52Speaker 7: how you've gotten to the point where you can do
- 20:54Speaker 7: this for yourself because you just want to also have
- 20:58Speaker 7: criticisms and clap back at them with like confidence and hilarity.
- 21:04Speaker 4: Yeah. I mean it's been crazy.
- 21:07Speaker 5: I think I've went through like every phase you can
- 21:11Speaker 5: in the bachelor world. I think people, you know, they're
- 21:14Speaker 5: really excited for me, and then they really disliked me.
- 21:17Speaker 5: And I think just I can see where people are
- 21:20Speaker 5: coming from in each stage, and I think there were
- 21:25Speaker 5: times where I made mistakes and I can honestly understand
- 21:28Speaker 5: where the criticism's coming from. I think at this point,
- 21:31Speaker 5: I've done so much work on myself that this is
- 21:35Speaker 5: I think the first time I'm on the show where
- 21:37Speaker 5: I really feel like I'm bringing my true self completely forward,
- 21:42Speaker 5: and if people have like things to say about that,
- 21:45Speaker 5: like that's fine, because I really am so proud of
- 21:48Speaker 5: like how far I've come and who I am now.
- 21:51Speaker 5: So yeah, I mean, it's always going to be difficult,
- 21:53Speaker 5: and I think it's easier said right now than when
- 21:56Speaker 5: it starts airing. But I am really confident with whom
- 21:59Speaker 5: I brought to the beach, and I think it's like
- 22:01Speaker 5: my truest self.
- 22:02Speaker 3: So I'm so happy about that, and I vibe that
- 22:07Speaker 3: very much. I concur with what Ben said for sure,
- 22:12Speaker 3: to change topics on something very scandalous, Are you willing
- 22:15Speaker 3: to talk scandal for a second?
- 22:19Speaker 4: I am all right, I don't know. I don't think.
- 22:26Speaker 2: I don't think. I'm so excited.
- 22:30Speaker 4: Okay, it doesn't know.
- 22:32Speaker 3: No, Ben probably hasn't been scrolling on Instagram over the
- 22:34Speaker 3: past twelve hours.
- 22:36Speaker 4: Now.
- 22:39Speaker 3: We saw you with Clayton get pretty chummy at our
- 22:42Speaker 3: event in February, and it looked like you guys like
- 22:46Speaker 3: almost could have rekindled something. Right then you were having
- 22:48Speaker 3: like deep conversations. You shake your head, but like you know,
- 22:51Speaker 3: you got friendly in the in like a true friend way.
- 22:53Speaker 3: You know, it's like the first time you guys got
- 22:55Speaker 3: together since the dumping, and this past day or so,
- 23:01Speaker 3: there has been something that's come out about him. He's
- 23:03Speaker 3: been served with paternity papers of a paternity lawsuit from
- 23:08Speaker 3: an alleged pregnant X And it's not just that she's pregnant.
- 23:12Speaker 3: She's pregnant with twins.
- 23:15Speaker 2: You you're kidding. Wait, I'm I really, I'm just.
- 23:20Speaker 5: What allegedly Well, when I heard about it, I just
- 23:24Speaker 5: think that's probably one of the craziest things I've ever heard. Again,
- 23:29Speaker 5: I guess we don't know completely what had happened, but
- 23:32Speaker 5: I just hope everyone you know, and figure it out
- 23:36Speaker 5: and so definitely insane.
- 23:39Speaker 7: So we won't make Rachel get completely put on the spots.
- 23:43Speaker 7: I don't think she knows anything more than we do, right,
- 23:47Speaker 7: But I do have questions for the two of you.
- 23:49Speaker 7: So can I cause I don't know about this, Can
- 23:50Speaker 7: I play or just try to understand?
- 23:53Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 23:53Speaker 7: Of course, Rachel. This is what I do with Ashley
- 23:55Speaker 7: in most situations when it comes to pop culture or
- 23:59Speaker 7: just anything happening in the world.
- 24:00Speaker 2: World. Okay, what is a paternity lawsuit?
- 24:05Speaker 3: Okay, so without reading it, what I'm assuming it is
- 24:10Speaker 3: is that, like she's pregnant with twins, and she's allegedly
- 24:15Speaker 3: claiming that she's slept with Clayton in May, and he
- 24:20Speaker 3: is denying that they had any sexual encounter.
- 24:23Speaker 2: Okay.
- 24:23Speaker 7: So he has came out publicly and commented on this
- 24:26Speaker 7: and said he's not that he's denying, and.
- 24:29Speaker 3: Maybe not publicly, but like within the two of them,
- 24:31Speaker 3: and like so like in the paperwork, it's saying that
- 24:33Speaker 3: he's denying it.
- 24:35Speaker 7: Okay, So he's so in the paperwork, she's claiming that
- 24:39Speaker 7: it's his kids and that he said I'm that I
- 24:43Speaker 7: wasn't a part of this, and now she's saying, well,
- 24:45Speaker 7: you're going to have to be a part of this.
- 24:46Speaker 2: Is that how this plays out? Okay?
- 24:47Speaker 3: Yes, So apparently on August first, she filed the lawsuit,
- 24:51Speaker 3: So it's been a while alleging that she's pregnant with
- 24:54Speaker 3: twins after engaging in sexual activity with Clayton on May twentieth.
- 24:59Speaker 3: The the kids are due in February twenty twenty four,
- 25:03Speaker 3: and she's saying that she hasn't been with anyone besides
- 25:06Speaker 3: him since March of twenty twenty two.
- 25:09Speaker 7: Okay, So I'm trying to okay, and then the sources
- 25:12Speaker 7: of this are who this isn't like I don't know
- 25:15Speaker 7: the ones that we find at like grocery stores. These
- 25:17Speaker 7: are legitimate sources or this. We do know for certain
- 25:21Speaker 7: that this lawsuit has been filed.
- 25:23Speaker 3: It's via page six, and page six usually has you know,
- 25:28Speaker 3: it's usually pretty reliable. I'll continue with the with the
- 25:33Speaker 3: quotes here, it gets quite scandalous. So this is PG
- 25:38Speaker 3: almost r this is kind of our He's saying that
- 25:41Speaker 3: they only had oral sex that night.
- 25:44Speaker 4: Oh I didn't hear that.
- 25:45Speaker 2: That's not how you make kids. I will say that
- 25:47Speaker 2: just for an it doesn't know.
- 25:48Speaker 3: The court filing includes screenshots of alleged tax from the
- 25:52Speaker 3: reality star, including the messages that include quote, I don't
- 25:57Speaker 3: believe you for a second. I legitimately hate you right now.
- 26:00Speaker 3: You have lost your mind. And I hope you think
- 26:03Speaker 3: about how terrible this is that you would subject me
- 26:05Speaker 3: to this. My personal hell would be having to be
- 26:09Speaker 3: part of your life.
- 26:10Speaker 7: Okay, so this just came out. What I'm understanding is
- 26:13Speaker 7: the story is breaking. Rachel knowing Clayton having some sort
- 26:19Speaker 7: of relationship with Clayton.
- 26:23Speaker 2: How do you feel about this.
- 26:27Speaker 5: I mean, I guess my first thought is, this is
- 26:29Speaker 5: obviously something that's very public. I've seen a lot of commentary,
- 26:36Speaker 5: a lot of people, you know, taking sides. I know
- 26:40Speaker 5: Clayton does struggle with his mental health, so obviously that's
- 26:43Speaker 5: something like I thought about first, like hopefully doing okay.
- 26:47Speaker 5: No matter what the situation is, obviously we're all going
- 26:52Speaker 5: to kind of be seeing the development on it. I
- 26:56Speaker 5: just hope everyone is okay, because this is definitely like
- 26:59Speaker 5: a very crazy, crazy situation that I said, you can't
- 27:02Speaker 5: even make up.
- 27:03Speaker 4: So we'll see where it goes.
- 27:07Speaker 3: Yeah, just to add into the story, basically, what we're
- 27:10Speaker 3: waiting on is him to take a paternity test, which
- 27:13Speaker 3: the lawsuit has said that she's offered more than fifty
- 27:16Speaker 3: times in runing to pay for one for him, but
- 27:18Speaker 3: he is unwilling to participate.
- 27:20Speaker 7: Oh my, I you know, I don't know if this
- 27:23Speaker 7: is gonna come off crazy, I feel, I mean, I
- 27:25Speaker 7: I don't know enough about this situation to really have
- 27:27Speaker 7: any opinion whatsoever. But you know, what initially reminds me
- 27:30Speaker 7: of is like the moriy Show when they'd be like
- 27:34Speaker 7: you are the father or you're not the father, and
- 27:36Speaker 7: everybody celebrates or like that. That's kind of what I
- 27:39Speaker 7: feel like in my mind, that's what's coming to me.
- 27:42Speaker 2: Well, of course it is. Oh is that fair? Is
- 27:46Speaker 2: that fair?
- 27:46Speaker 7: Because that's the only that's the only like tangible example
- 27:52Speaker 7: that I have of this happening.
- 27:54Speaker 2: Is that crazy? Am I speaking like wild here?
- 27:57Speaker 7: No?
- 27:57Speaker 4: And I feel like you're not the first one to
- 27:59Speaker 4: have made that reference.
- 28:01Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, I like, yeah, The Bachelor girl chat has
- 28:04Speaker 3: been blowing up. My seasons group chat has re emerged today.
- 28:09Speaker 2: There's a lot of gifts. This is crazy.
- 28:15Speaker 5: The what I just really hope everyone's okay, because this
- 28:17Speaker 5: is just yeah, very very you.
- 28:20Speaker 7: Know, you know, Rachel in uh, however long we've been
- 28:24Speaker 7: doing this podcast, the Bachelor world has never ceased to
- 28:28Speaker 7: give us stories, good, bad, and different. They've never no, never,
- 28:37Speaker 7: And so with that being said, it always gives us stories.
- 28:39Speaker 2: Rachel. We hope that you give us a story.
- 28:42Speaker 7: Of love and peace and joy and happiness on the
- 28:47Speaker 7: beach in Mexico and onto the future. We hope you
- 28:53Speaker 7: are following Sue with the trends of the past. We're
- 28:57Speaker 7: leads fine love on the beach in Paradise.
