- 0:53Speaker 5: Yo, yo, what's up, what's up, what's happening everybody? This
- 0:56Speaker 5: is your brother. This is His Hop and I want
- 0:59Speaker 5: to welcome you to another episode of the His Hop
- 1:02Speaker 5: Radio Podcast as we present verse by verse. This is
- 1:08Speaker 5: our verse by verse Bible study. As we go through
- 1:13Speaker 5: God's word, allow the word of God to correct us,
- 1:17Speaker 5: to minister to us, to teach us and to instruct us.
- 1:22Speaker 5: We know the Bible says that the engrafted word is
- 1:24Speaker 5: able to save our souls. And that is our agenda.
- 1:27Speaker 5: We don't hide it from anyone. We want to save
- 1:31Speaker 5: souls on this podcast. We want to see people delivered,
- 1:34Speaker 5: healed and set free. The Bible says that the path
- 1:39Speaker 5: to life is a narrow path. And it also says
- 1:43Speaker 5: that only a few will find it. Well, this is
- 1:48Speaker 5: the podcast for the few people. who are walking down
- 1:52Speaker 5: that narrow path. The other side of this is that
- 1:56Speaker 5: the road to destruction is broad and many are those
- 2:01Speaker 5: who go down that path. Basically, everyone who decides for themselves,
- 2:09Speaker 5: good and evil, everyone who makes their own choices in life,
- 2:13Speaker 5: they don't want to consider the word. They don't want
- 2:17Speaker 5: to study the word. Jesus is the way we don't
- 2:21Speaker 5: want to go in his direction. We want to go
- 2:25Speaker 5: in our direction. That's basically the path of destruction. So
- 2:29Speaker 5: we're trying to get as many people as possible to
- 2:33Speaker 5: get off that path and to get on this narrow path.
- 2:40Speaker 5: So that's why we invite everyone to log into the
- 2:44Speaker 5: live chat so that we can talk. We can hold
- 2:47Speaker 5: each other accountable, share scriptures. And we want you guys
- 2:51Speaker 5: to log into our community. It's like our little social
- 2:54Speaker 5: media page. We can do a little more in the community.
- 2:57Speaker 5: We can upload links and pics and videos and more
- 3:02Speaker 5: stuff like that as we interact with each other. We
- 3:06Speaker 5: want a fellowship. We want a discipleship. This is our
- 3:09Speaker 5: online community. So we invite you to download that His
- 3:15Speaker 5: Hot Radio app, H-I-S-H-O-P, to get logged in. Go to
- 3:19Speaker 5: the top left menu. Hit that drop down. Click on
- 3:23Speaker 5: live chat. Hit register. It only takes a couple of seconds.
- 3:27Speaker 5: Very easy. Tap in your username, email address and password.

- 3:35Speaker 5: can log in easily because you're going to be doing
- 3:38Speaker 5: that a lot as you follow this podcast. And in
- 3:42Speaker 5: the same menu, scroll down a little further. Click on community.
- 3:46Speaker 5: And then you have to verify your email address, but
- 3:48Speaker 5: same thing. Set up your profile, picture, all that stuff.
- 3:53Speaker 5: Let's have some fun as we do this together. And
- 3:58Speaker 5: for a little bit of review, in our previous episode,
- 4:01Speaker 5: we learned that Judah would face 70 years of Babylonian dominion.
- 4:09Speaker 5: They went into captivity and because of the people repeatedly
- 4:13Speaker 5: refused to listen to God's warnings. So today we discover
- 4:19Speaker 5: what would happen after that period had ended. God was
- 4:25Speaker 5: not only holding Judah accountable, right? If only they would
- 4:30Speaker 5: add accountability partners. Amen. And look at us. We got
- 4:36Speaker 5: one right here on this app. It's very important to
- 4:39Speaker 5: have that. He would also hold Babylon accountable, the Babylonians,
- 4:48Speaker 5: King Nebuchadnezzar. This is the nation that was attacking Jerusalem.
- 4:54Speaker 5: This was a nation that God used to judge his people,
- 4:57Speaker 5: but he will also hold them accountable for their own actions.
- 5:02Speaker 5: So that's important because Babylon might have looked unstoppable at
- 5:08Speaker 5: one point, but his armies... even though their armies were powerful.
- 5:16Speaker 5: And his king exercised tremendous authority, and the nations around
- 5:22Speaker 5: it had reason to fear its strength. But Babylon was
- 5:27Speaker 5: not above God. Now, here is a message for the
- 5:33Speaker 5: United States of America. No nation, no leader, And no
- 5:41Speaker 5: earthly power gets the final word. God does. So let's pray.
- 5:48Speaker 5: Heavenly Father, we ask, Lord, that you will attach a
- 5:52Speaker 5: blessing to this episode. All those who listen to it,
- 5:56Speaker 5: all those who would like, subscribe and follow this podcast, Lord,
- 6:00Speaker 5: all those who are shared, Father God, we ask, Lord,
- 6:03Speaker 5: that your kingdom will be multiplied with every play, every subscribe. Yes, Lord,
- 6:09Speaker 5: not that we, to just grow in numbers just so
- 6:12Speaker 5: that we could say that we have great numbers, but
- 6:15Speaker 5: each number would represent revival. Each number would represent a
- 6:19Speaker 5: changed heart and mind. People who are hungry for you,
- 6:23Speaker 5: for your word, hungry for your presence. We ask this, Father,
- 6:27Speaker 5: in Jesus' name.
- 6:28Speaker 6: Amen.
- 6:31Speaker 5: All right. So we're only going to go through a
- 6:35Speaker 5: couple of scriptures today, but meet me in Jeremiah chapter 25.
- 6:43Speaker 5: And we're going to go through 12 and 14. So
- 6:54Speaker 5: verse 12 says, then I will come. Then it will
- 6:59Speaker 5: come to pass. The 70 years are completed and I
- 7:04Speaker 5: will punish the king of Babylon and that nation. The
- 7:10Speaker 5: land of the Chaldeans for their iniquity, says the Lord.
- 7:16Speaker 5: And I will make it a perpetual desolation, says the Lord. Amen.
- 7:25Speaker 5: All right. Let's start right there. Babylon's power. has an
- 7:41Speaker 5: expiration date right so God declared that Babylon's dominion would
- 7:49Speaker 5: not last indefinitely there is no earthly power there's no
- 7:55Speaker 5: earthly kingdom this world this earth is temporary you can
- 8:01Speaker 5: see it with the celebrities that at one point were
- 8:05Speaker 5: on top and all of a sudden their glory fades
- 8:08Speaker 5: away And they're not on the scene. But if you
- 8:12Speaker 5: want an eternal kingdom, an everlasting reward, it's all in Christ.
- 8:21Speaker 5: We need to follow and give our lives to Christ. Amen.
- 8:26Speaker 5: So after 70 years, he would punish the nation of
- 8:30Speaker 5: Babylon and its king, King Nebuchadnezzar, for their iniquity. Now,
- 8:38Speaker 5: this is important. So even though God had used Babylon
- 8:43Speaker 5: for his judgment against Judah, at the same time, he
- 8:49Speaker 5: did not excuse Babylon's own wrongdoings. So the nation itself
- 8:58Speaker 5: would eventually face divine judgment as well. Now, Look at
- 9:08Speaker 5: the first part of this verse, when 70 years are accomplished.
- 9:16Speaker 5: In the previous verses, God announced that Judah and the
- 9:20Speaker 5: surrounding nations would serve Babylon for 70 years. They had
- 9:25Speaker 5: a good 70 year run. Now he reveals that Babylon's
- 9:30Speaker 5: time of dominance would come to an end. Think of
- 9:37Speaker 5: the United States of America. We are 250 years old
- 9:44Speaker 5: and nations are trying to topple us today. But at
- 9:49Speaker 5: one point we were untouchable. Kind of similar to this,
- 9:57Speaker 5: but we were at least untouchable. trying to serve God
- 10:01Speaker 5: at one point but the Babylonians they were a pagan
- 10:05Speaker 5: nation even though they had been the instrument of God's
- 10:10Speaker 5: judgment now the Babylonians themselves were not the ultimate authority,
- 10:27Speaker 5: God had established a limit to its dominance. And he
- 10:33Speaker 5: would hold that nation accountable for their own iniquity. It
- 10:37Speaker 5: doesn't pay to go against God and his word. I
- 10:42Speaker 5: don't care if it's an individual or an entire nation.
- 10:48Speaker 5: So this teaches us a powerful principle being used for
- 10:51Speaker 5: a purpose does not mean everything we do is approved
- 10:57Speaker 5: by God. A lot of pastors really need to learn this.
- 11:03Speaker 5: People think because I have a position or title or
- 11:07Speaker 5: a spiritual privilege that they can live any way they want. No,
- 11:12Speaker 5: God wants our obedience. So Babylon would not claim that
- 11:21Speaker 5: his wrongdoing was acceptable simply because God had used it
- 11:27Speaker 5: in his larger plan. The same principle would make us
- 11:32Speaker 5: examine ourselves. Maybe somebody has influence, talent, or a position
- 11:39Speaker 5: of authority. Maybe they are accomplishing things that appear successful,
- 11:47Speaker 5: but success, does not automatically equal a life of righteousness.
- 11:55Speaker 5: I even think about our government today, how some politicians
- 11:58Speaker 5: would promote things that line up with our Judeo-Christian values.
- 12:06Speaker 5: And we think that, okay, maybe this person is a Christian.
- 12:10Speaker 5: Maybe they're a godly person. leader, we're going to finally
- 12:13Speaker 5: have a godly president. And then they get into the office,
- 12:16Speaker 5: they do all kinds of wicked and ungodly things. That
- 12:21Speaker 5: doesn't necessarily mean that that leader is a righteous leader
- 12:25Speaker 5: just because they cater to biblical principles at one point.
- 12:33Speaker 5: A person can be gifted and still be dishonest. A
- 12:37Speaker 5: leader can be Effective and still abuse people in ministry
- 12:42Speaker 5: can attract a large audience and still need correction. We
- 12:52Speaker 5: must never confuse being successful with being righteous.
- 12:59Speaker 3: Right.
- 13:00Speaker 5: We can only get that from God's word. The only
- 13:04Speaker 5: applause that we should be looking for is the applause
- 13:07Speaker 5: that comes from heaven. And this is another important lesson.
- 13:13Speaker 5: Earthly power has limits. So Babylon probably appeared invincible to
- 13:21Speaker 5: many people living during that period. Yet God had already
- 13:25Speaker 5: declared that his dominance would end. They only had 70
- 13:30Speaker 5: years to do what they were going to do. And
- 13:34Speaker 5: the same is true for every earthly empire. Governments rise
- 13:42Speaker 5: and governments fall. Leaders gain influence and eventually they lose it.
- 13:48Speaker 5: Wealth and status do not last forever. So we should
- 13:56Speaker 5: respect authority constantly. where it is appropriate, but we must
- 14:01Speaker 5: never treat human authority as though it was the ultimate authority.
- 14:06Speaker 5: And if you know my history, and if you know
- 14:11Speaker 5: my testimony, you know that I went to a church
- 14:15Speaker 5: where the pastors were trying to make themselves the ultimate authority.
- 14:23Speaker 5: Do not allow anyone to stand in the Lord's place
- 14:27Speaker 5: in your life. God can always permit a power to
- 14:37Speaker 5: rise without giving that power permission to do whatever it
- 14:41Speaker 5: wants to do. Verse 13. Verse 13. So I will
- 15:00Speaker 5: bring on that land, all my words, which I have
- 15:04Speaker 5: pronounced against it. All that is written in this book,
- 15:10Speaker 5: which Jeremiah had prophesied concerning all the nations. That is powerful.
- 15:26Speaker 5: All right, so. Now, biblical prophecy is not merely a
- 15:33Speaker 5: collection of interesting predictions.
- 15:39Speaker 6: Right.
- 15:40Speaker 5: God had prophesied against Babylon and against the nations, plural.
- 15:47Speaker 5: As we get into this now, this passage is God
- 15:53Speaker 5: is declaring judgment against nations through the prophet Jeremiah. The
- 16:03Speaker 5: people may have wondered whether Jeremiah's warnings would ever come
- 16:08Speaker 5: to pass. Babylon was powerful and its victories might have
- 16:16Speaker 5: made it seem that nobody could challenge it. But God's
- 16:21Speaker 5: word was not dependent on Babylon's opinions. Now, let's apply
- 16:36Speaker 5: this carefully. We should not take every political event or
- 16:41Speaker 5: personal hardship and claim it that we know exactly what
- 16:47Speaker 5: God is doing. Now, Jeremiah was delivering a specific message.
- 16:53Speaker 5: Sometimes I get a tongue twister trying to say that word.
- 16:58Speaker 5: A specific message from the Lord in Scripture records what
- 17:04Speaker 5: God had declared so our responsibility today is to read
- 17:09Speaker 5: God's revealed word faithfully and understand it in context and
- 17:17Speaker 5: take that teaching seriously we can be confident in what
- 17:22Speaker 5: scripture says clearly about God's character his justice his authority
- 17:28Speaker 5: without pretending to know every detail about his plan. So
- 17:34Speaker 5: there's also a personal lesson here. When God's word corrects us,
- 17:39Speaker 5: we shouldn't assume that time. We should, we shouldn't assume
- 17:44Speaker 5: that that time will make truth disappear. I don't know
- 17:54Speaker 5: why I can't talk right now. In other words, we
- 17:57Speaker 5: can't ignore God. God's warning and think, oh, he said
- 18:02Speaker 5: that 20 years ago, so God must have changed his mind. Right?
- 18:06Speaker 5: Ignoring a warning doesn't make it false. So if scripture
- 18:13Speaker 5: tells us to forgive, live honestly and pursue holiness and
- 18:18Speaker 5: love our neighbors, those instructions do not become irrelevant because
- 18:25Speaker 5: obedience is inconvenient, right? Because we don't want to obey
- 18:34Speaker 5: or maybe we put it off for 50 years. There's
- 18:39Speaker 5: a lot of people, beloved, going to hell because they
- 18:43Speaker 5: refuse to forgive. They refuse to love some of the
- 18:48Speaker 5: simplest things. And I heard a woman, her testimony that
- 18:54Speaker 5: she Had a near death experience where God judged her.
- 18:58Speaker 5: She went to hell because she refused to forgive herself.
- 19:02Speaker 5: She had an abortion and she would not forgive herself
- 19:07Speaker 5: for what she did. And God allowed her to meet
- 19:10Speaker 5: her child in heaven and her child forgave her. Amen.
- 19:16Speaker 5: All right. Verse 14. Yeah. for many nations and great
- 19:32Speaker 5: kings shall be served by them also. And I will
- 19:39Speaker 5: repay them according to their deeds and according to the
- 19:43Speaker 5: works of their own hands. On me back up for
- 19:50Speaker 5: a second. So I will bring on them that land,
- 19:56Speaker 5: all my words, which I have pronounced against it, all
- 19:59Speaker 5: that is written in this book, which Jeremiah has prophesied
- 20:04Speaker 5: concerning all the nations for many nations and The great
- 20:08Speaker 5: king shall be served by them also. And I will
- 20:12Speaker 5: repay them according to their deeds and according to the
- 20:16Speaker 5: works of their own hands. Amen. All right, let's break
- 20:24Speaker 5: this one down as well. So Babylon and the inhabitants,
- 20:32Speaker 5: the entire society here would not escape The consequences of
- 20:38Speaker 5: their own conduct. Other nations and powerful rulers would eventually
- 20:46Speaker 5: dominate them. And God declares that he would repay them
- 20:52Speaker 5: according to their own deeds. Now that's important. Their own
- 20:57Speaker 5: actions would become the basis of their accountability. God says
- 21:03Speaker 5: this throughout the Bibles. On the day of judgment, God
- 21:08Speaker 5: will repay us according to our own deeds. How do
- 21:13Speaker 5: you treat people? Are you merciful? Are you kind? Are
- 21:18Speaker 5: you forgiving to others? Remember, Jesus says, do unto others
- 21:23Speaker 5: as you want them to do unto you. Because what
- 21:28Speaker 5: you do to others, it will happen. It will come
- 21:31Speaker 5: back to you. That's why it's important for us to
- 21:37Speaker 5: forgive and to love. Now, this verse brings us the
- 21:45Speaker 5: message and it brings it to conclusion. God would recompense
- 21:53Speaker 5: Babylon according to his deeds and the works of its
- 21:57Speaker 5: own hands. So in plain language, Babylon would be held
- 22:03Speaker 5: accountable for for what it had done. Now notice the
- 22:11Speaker 5: connection between this verse and the earlier description of Babylon
- 22:18Speaker 5: as God's servant. God used Babylon in his judgment against Judah,
- 22:24Speaker 5: but Babylon still bore responsibility for its own actions. So
- 22:33Speaker 5: it's almost like using a rapist to punish a murderer.
- 22:41Speaker 4: Right?
- 22:42Speaker 5: Like they're both in the wrong. So that distinction matters
- 22:49Speaker 5: between the two. God's sovereignty does not mean human choices
- 22:55Speaker 5: are meaningless. People and nations remain accountable for how they
- 23:03Speaker 5: use their power and how they treat others. So this
- 23:08Speaker 5: should challenge everyone who believes that influence and authority places
- 23:13Speaker 5: them above accountability. You see this in our celebrities today.
- 23:19Speaker 5: How many celebrities are out there thinking that they're above
- 23:23Speaker 5: the law? You hear so much about their nasty and
- 23:27Speaker 5: disgusting deeds and And they think that they can get
- 23:32Speaker 5: away with it because they're rich and they're powerful and
- 23:35Speaker 5: they have privilege. And then when it comes crashing down,
- 23:39Speaker 5: then that's when they learn, right? I mean, it's the
- 23:46Speaker 5: same for us. A leader cannot simply say, I have
- 23:49Speaker 5: power so I can do whatever I want. With great
- 23:54Speaker 5: power comes great responsibility. We saw that in Spider-Man, right?
- 23:59Speaker 5: A business owner can't say, I'm successful, so my dishonesty
- 24:04Speaker 5: doesn't matter. A Christian minister cannot say, God is using me,
- 24:12Speaker 5: so nobody should question my behavior. No one should use success, position,
- 24:22Speaker 5: or even religious language as a shield against illegitimate correction.
- 24:36Speaker 5: So at the same time, we should not turn this
- 24:39Speaker 5: verse into an excuse to pronounce God's judgment on specific
- 24:44Speaker 5: people whenever we disagree with them as well, right? Final
- 24:49Speaker 5: judgment belongs only to God. And we must be careful
- 24:55Speaker 5: about claiming To know his particular purposes in somebody else's life.
- 25:05Speaker 5: So the practical lesson is that our actions matter. You know,
- 25:10Speaker 5: we see here that that phrase right. Black lives matter.
- 25:15Speaker 5: Somebody needs to start a movement called our actions matter.
- 25:21Speaker 6: Right.
- 25:21Speaker 5: Our words matter. Our behavior matters. Integrity matters. We should
- 25:26Speaker 5: live with integrity. Take responsibility when we do wrong. And
- 25:33Speaker 5: remember that human applause is not the same as God's approval.
- 25:42Speaker 5: So you may be able to avoid accountability before people
- 25:46Speaker 5: for a time, but you are never beyond God's authority.
- 25:56Speaker 5: So we have to remember that there is no power
- 26:00Speaker 5: above God. God has the final say. Earthly power is temporary.
- 26:09Speaker 5: Babylon's dominance had a expiration date. It had a limit.
- 26:16Speaker 5: No nation or leader has ultimate authority or control over history.
- 26:24Speaker 5: And being used does not mean... being approved by God.
- 26:28Speaker 4: Amen.
- 26:33Speaker 5: There's going to be a lot of people who did
- 26:35Speaker 5: a lot of deeds for God. They cast out devils.
- 26:40Speaker 5: They prophesied in his name. They did many wonderful works
- 26:44Speaker 5: in his name, but Jesus will tell them, I never
- 26:47Speaker 5: knew you. That is scary, beloved. God used Babylon to
- 26:57Speaker 5: accomplish a purpose, but Babylon remained accountable for its own iniquity.
- 27:07Speaker 5: So we should never use our gifts, our success, or
- 27:10Speaker 5: position to excuse our wrongdoing. Our actions matter. That's a
- 27:18Speaker 5: t-shirt right there. So God declared that Babylon would be
- 27:24Speaker 5: repaid according to his deeds. This passage calls us to integrity,
- 27:30Speaker 5: to humility, and to responsibility. It's good to have people
- 27:35Speaker 5: in our lives that can help hold us accountable because
- 27:40Speaker 5: we are accountable ultimately before God. And we rather hash
- 27:45Speaker 5: that out now before we go face to face with
- 27:49Speaker 5: him or Because if we go before him, it'll be
- 27:53Speaker 5: too late to make any changes or corrections. So here's
- 28:02Speaker 5: the question. Are you more concerned with appearing successful in
- 28:09Speaker 5: front of people or with living faithfully before God? That
- 28:17Speaker 5: is a good question right there. Don't let popularity power,
- 28:22Speaker 5: money influence you and make you think that you no
- 28:35Speaker 5: longer need to be corrected or to be held accountable.
- 28:40Speaker 5: God has the final say and he has the final word.
- 28:46Speaker 3: All right.
- 28:51Speaker 5: Let's take a break.
- 28:53Speaker 2: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 28:56Speaker 2: is the His Hop Radio Show.
- 28:58Speaker 4: Hey, baby.
- 29:03Speaker 5: Hey, mommy.
- 29:07Speaker 4: I know, mom.
- 29:08Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 29:11Speaker 4: I'm sorry. She isn't suffering anymore. Thank you.
- 29:28Speaker 3: Somehow we forget about the bounty of death. We think
- 29:31Speaker 3: our family will always be around. We neglect keeping in touch,
- 29:34Speaker 3: but then we're all down and regret when they pass
- 29:37Speaker 3: on that death is a reality check on any given
- 29:40Speaker 3: day we could vanish from the face of this planet
- 29:42Speaker 3: so i'm taking advantage of this moment i'll no longer
- 29:45Speaker 3: take them for granted with all of my love i'll
- 29:48Speaker 3: be embracing my fan with i hold my mom in
- 29:51Speaker 3: my arms her and i mourn cause the woman that
- 29:53Speaker 3: is given her life's gone and it's hurtful losing a
- 29:56Speaker 3: parent that birthed you I tread the day when she's
- 29:58Speaker 3: gone and I am in her shoes. And that day's
- 30:01Speaker 3: probably getting close. I look at mom and she's getting old.
- 30:04Speaker 3: So while I still have her here with me, I
- 30:06Speaker 3: just gotta let her know. I love her and I'll
- 30:08Speaker 3: never let her go. I'll never let her go.
- 30:11Speaker 6: No.
- 30:13Speaker 4: At any given moment, you are all I can take.
- 30:16Speaker 4: Wish I would know. I won't take time for granted.
- 30:22Speaker 6: No, I won't.
- 30:22Speaker 4: I'll challenge every second. I will take advantage. know i
- 30:51Speaker 4: won't let.
- 30:52Speaker 3: You go sunrise so i'm blessed to see another day
- 30:56Speaker 3: my favorite moments are when the sun's bleeding through the
- 30:58Speaker 3: shades and when the daylight's gleaming on the face of
- 31:01Speaker 3: my lady because i see the lord's genius on display
- 31:04Speaker 3: the best photography couldn't properly capture the details in this
- 31:08Speaker 3: beauty my optics see a filter on a hat would
- 31:11Speaker 3: not compete so as i lay there silently and i
- 31:14Speaker 3: watch her sleep.
- 31:15Speaker 4: I see his glory in.
- 31:19Speaker 3: She smiles then she leans into my warm embrace with
- 31:22Speaker 3: the head on my chest and wrapped in my arm
- 31:24Speaker 3: she lays it's love I wish that I could freeze
- 31:27Speaker 3: time and rewind these moments cause they always seem to
- 31:30Speaker 3: speed by but while I have her here now I'ma
- 31:33Speaker 3: let her know how much I love her and I
- 31:35Speaker 3: will never let her go no no.
- 31:38Speaker 4: At any given moment, you or I can dance. We
- 31:42Speaker 4: should never know, yeah. So while I have it here,
- 31:45Speaker 4: I won't take time for granted. No, I won't, no.
- 31:48Speaker 4: I'll cherish every second. I won't take advantage. I'll hold
- 31:53Speaker 4: you close and I won't let you go. I won't
- 31:58Speaker 4: let you go. I won't let you go. I won't
- 32:17Speaker 4: let you go.
- 32:18Speaker 3: I should have known.
- 32:20Speaker 5: Yo, look, look, look, look.
- 32:21Speaker 3: Here goes mommy busting out with the old photo albums
- 32:23Speaker 3: and the baby pictures. She wants to show everybody my
- 32:26Speaker 3: first rash and embarrassment.
- 32:27Speaker 5: Oh, shut up.
- 32:28Speaker 2: I just wanted to show you this picture I found
- 32:30Speaker 2: of you and your family.
- 32:32Speaker 3: Look.
- 32:32Speaker 4: Let me see.
- 32:32Speaker 5: I'm just kidding.
- 32:34Speaker 6: Oh, baby.
- 32:37Speaker 5: I miss her so much.
- 32:38Speaker 4: Not for nothing.
- 32:39Speaker 5: That picture's dope.
- 32:40Speaker 4: You might want to use that for your next album, though.
- 32:43Speaker 3: Hey, that's a good idea. You already know every classic
- 32:47Speaker 3: got a baby picture on it.
- 32:48Speaker 4: That's true.
- 32:49Speaker 5: That's hard.
- 32:50Speaker 4: Look at this picture of you and your father.
- 32:52Speaker 2: He was teaching you.
- 32:53Speaker 4: How to mix.
- 32:53Speaker 5: Wow. Jenny, look at this bit. It's hard, too.
- 32:56Speaker 2: No, music is game.
- 32:58Speaker 5: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas.
- 33:00Speaker 4: This is the His Hop Radio Show.
- 33:42Speaker 5: Alright, we are back from the break. That's our brother
- 33:45Speaker 5: Dayton with I Will Not Let You Go that had
- 33:51Speaker 5: a powerful message there. When you are around your loved ones,
- 33:57Speaker 5: Take the time out to love them. Take the time
- 33:59Speaker 5: out to appreciate them. Because you never know one day
- 34:04Speaker 5: when they will not be there. Come on. That's a
- 34:07Speaker 5: great reminder that's going to get some heavy rotation on
- 34:10Speaker 5: the station. So hopefully you guys are listening 24-7. Quick
- 34:14Speaker 5: shout out to the live chat. What's up to our
- 34:18Speaker 5: brother Zone 3, our brother Corinth. Everyone who stops by
- 34:22Speaker 5: to show love. We appreciate y'all. We are praying for y'all. Hey,
- 34:27Speaker 5: let's walk this narrow road together. Amen. All right. Well,
- 34:34Speaker 5: let's go and head right into our accountability partner segment. Yeah,
- 34:40Speaker 5: we've been talking about this podcast, right? We've been talking
- 34:45Speaker 5: about how a nation can just drift away in our
- 34:49Speaker 5: deeds and actions. The Bible says even our very words,
- 34:54Speaker 5: we have to give an account for we will be
- 34:57Speaker 5: evaluated and judged for our entire life. The key is
- 35:04Speaker 5: abiding in Jesus. Jesus is the way and truth in
- 35:09Speaker 5: the life. No one comes to the Father but through Him.
- 35:12Speaker 5: So we need to learn His ways and apply His
- 35:16Speaker 5: ways to our life. His ways need to become our ways.
- 35:21Speaker 5: His mind needs to become our mind. We need to
- 35:25Speaker 5: be totally engulfed in his life. So when God looks
- 35:34Speaker 5: at us, he sees his son. And that's going to
- 35:37Speaker 5: take work. It takes focus. It's not going to happen
- 35:41Speaker 5: by accident. It's an intentional life. And you need someone
- 35:50Speaker 5: in your life to help you. That's why God created discipleship. Amen. So,
- 36:03Speaker 5: we give you challenges on this podcast. Hopefully, you guys
- 36:06Speaker 5: are following these challenges. Hopefully, you have someone in your
- 36:09Speaker 5: life that can hold you accountable. If not, hey, join
- 36:14Speaker 5: us on this podcast and we will do it together
- 36:17Speaker 5: as a group. You can always reach out to us.
- 36:20Speaker 5: Just hit that top left menu. Once it drops down,
- 36:24Speaker 5: go to podcast and then click on the his hot

- 36:37Speaker 5: and request to follow up and we would love to
- 36:39Speaker 5: pray with you and also we would love to invite
- 36:43Speaker 5: people into our podcast and walk through this accountability together
- 36:49Speaker 5: as a family man but What we have right now
- 36:55Speaker 5: is we give you daily challenges. So take a moment
- 37:00Speaker 5: and consider these three questions. Where in my life have
- 37:05Speaker 5: I been tempted to believe that success excuses a wrong decision?
- 37:14Speaker 5: Number two, am I willing to accept correction when someone
- 37:18Speaker 5: points out a genuine problem in my life? And number three,
- 37:26Speaker 5: what is one practical way I can demonstrate greater integrity
- 37:33Speaker 5: this week? These are great questions and you can find
- 37:40Speaker 5: them in our community. So if you're on the live chat,
- 37:45Speaker 5: head on over to the community and check out these
- 37:48Speaker 5: questions because this is also in the community is also
- 37:51Speaker 5: the place where we're going to do our trivia challenge
- 37:55Speaker 5: in a few minutes right now we want to let
- 38:00Speaker 5: you know that it's how radio is a monitored and
- 38:05Speaker 5: a reporting radio station we have a couple of charts
- 38:10Speaker 5: that we report to and you can become the number
- 38:12Speaker 5: one artist on the radio station itself on the radio
- 38:17Speaker 5: app if you notice on the home page we have
- 38:20Speaker 5: multiple stations that we partner with and you can also
- 38:27Speaker 5: vote on those other stations and it still registers on
- 38:32Speaker 5: the app. So we want to help you get that
- 38:37Speaker 5: exposure you're looking for. We want to help you get
- 38:39Speaker 5: in front of the audience that you are targeting. So
- 38:46Speaker 5: if you want to submit your music to us, head
- 38:49Speaker 5: on over to our website, hishotnation.com, hit that submit tab,
- 38:55Speaker 5: Make sure you fill out all the info and also
- 38:58Speaker 5: check out our promo advertising packages. Very affordable. It'll help
- 39:03Speaker 5: you achieve your musical goals. Amen. Alright, now it's time
- 39:13Speaker 5: to head to the Trivia Challenge. Also located in the community. Now,
- 39:25Speaker 5: A quick shout out to our brother Zone 3. Our
- 39:28Speaker 5: brother Zone has been the champ. champ for a while
- 39:32Speaker 5: because challengers, they come and they go. But this is
- 39:39Speaker 5: a challenge that you want to stay consistent in because
- 39:43Speaker 5: you're learning the word of God. Amen. What better challenge
- 39:47Speaker 5: is there to have and challenging yourself in the word.
- 39:52Speaker 5: But we also throw it out there. Is there anyone
- 39:55Speaker 5: else out there that would download the His Heart Radio app,
- 39:59Speaker 5: jump in the live chat in the community also, and
- 40:03Speaker 5: give him a challenge? Challenge his title. Is there anyone
- 40:10Speaker 5: out there? Alright, so in order to be the trivia champion,
- 40:15Speaker 5: what you need to do is you need to be
- 40:17Speaker 5: the first to give the correct answer to the question. Obviously, right?
- 40:23Speaker 5: So whoever can post it first wins. And so the
- 40:27Speaker 5: question is, what two targets of God's judgment are specifically
- 40:32Speaker 5: named after the 70 years of where we're completed? The
- 40:40Speaker 5: 70 years of captivity. Let me ask that again. What
- 40:43Speaker 5: two targets of God's judgment So God is getting ready
- 40:48Speaker 5: to judge, but he has two targets that he will
- 40:53Speaker 5: judge are specifically named after the 70 years of captivity
- 41:02Speaker 5: was completed. So we're looking for two names, two targets,
- 41:11Speaker 5: and you'll get that right. Thank you. Amen. Also, we
- 41:18Speaker 5: want to do our community shout out. This is where
- 41:25Speaker 5: we let you know about our deeds, our actions, our events,
- 41:29Speaker 5: things that we've been doing out in the community and
- 41:32Speaker 5: our up and coming events. We just did an event
- 41:36Speaker 5: with Metro last Saturday, actually. We were off of 8th
- 41:44Speaker 5: Street in Owens over there. On the west side, if
- 41:48Speaker 5: you know anything about Vegas, this is the west side.
- 41:51Speaker 5: This is the hood. Basically, there's a church right there
- 41:57Speaker 5: on the corner. As we arrived, my family and I,
- 42:03Speaker 5: we pulled up on them. The whole block looked like
- 42:08Speaker 5: they had some type of event. And to be honest,
- 42:12Speaker 5: they all look straight gangsters. I believe it was uh
- 42:18Speaker 5: that's blood turf over there so i believe there was
- 42:21Speaker 5: a lot of blood i saw a lot of red
- 42:24Speaker 5: and there was cars and food and people just kicking
- 42:29Speaker 5: it out there and so we pulled through the parking
- 42:32Speaker 5: lot but then we went over to like around the
- 42:36Speaker 5: corner i mean not really around the corner just the
- 42:40Speaker 5: other side of the parking lot was where our event
- 42:42Speaker 5: was set up we were working with a church there.
- 42:46Speaker 5: And with, you know, we have police officers and fire
- 42:49Speaker 5: department and all that. And so we went to our spot,
- 42:54Speaker 5: found our people, got ready to set up. I started
- 42:58Speaker 5: unloading all the equipment. So I get the music up
- 43:02Speaker 5: and going. And then I looked up and saw rain clouds, man,
- 43:07Speaker 5: they were coming in our direction. And I'm like, you
- 43:11Speaker 5: know what? Then I thought about just doing it under the,
- 43:15Speaker 5: uh they had like a little canopy over there i
- 43:19Speaker 5: thought about setting up under the canopy but then you
- 43:24Speaker 5: know i didn't know where the water was gonna go
- 43:26Speaker 5: i didn't want my equipment i didn't want to risk
- 43:27Speaker 5: the equipment also if it starts raining i'm like well
- 43:31Speaker 5: they'll probably shut the event down because who's gonna be
- 43:35Speaker 5: out in the rain they had bounce houses they had
- 43:37Speaker 5: candy food they had a lot of things going who's
- 43:41Speaker 5: gonna stand out there in the rain you know what
- 43:43Speaker 5: i mean and so Sure enough, the rain came, and
- 43:48Speaker 5: so I packed everything. I didn't take everything out. I
- 43:51Speaker 5: packed everything back up, the stuff that I did take out,
- 43:55Speaker 5: and we just passed out flyers. We sat in the truck,
- 43:59Speaker 5: me and the family, but we were still able to
- 44:01Speaker 5: meet people, some awesome people in the community. We told
- 44:05Speaker 5: them about our ministry to download the app, so we
- 44:07Speaker 5: got some more app downloads. Some more people who are
- 44:11Speaker 5: aware that there's a Christian hip hop radio station in
- 44:14Speaker 5: Vegas and we give away monthly prizes. We do have,
- 44:19Speaker 5: I got to announce it more. We do have a
- 44:21Speaker 5: monthly raffle that we do. You know, right now we
- 44:24Speaker 5: have a football contest where participants can win 50 grand.
- 44:31Speaker 5: So I was passing out flyers, bringing awareness to some
- 44:35Speaker 5: of the stuff we do here on the radio station.
- 44:39Speaker 5: And on the podcast. So we saw a lot of
- 44:42Speaker 5: smiling faces. Things were cool. Our next event, actually our
- 44:47Speaker 5: next business mixer will be November the 3rd at the
- 44:51Speaker 5: Reno campus. Check out our calendar. If you are a
- 44:57Speaker 5: business owner or if you inspire to go into business,
- 45:01Speaker 5: we invite you to come and join us on that day.
- 45:06Speaker 5: And also, we're getting geared up for our Christmas event,
- 45:10Speaker 5: our Christmas event. We're going to be passing out toys
- 45:14Speaker 5: and doing some great things in the community. So, yes,
- 45:19Speaker 5: we also invite you to come to that. That will
- 45:22Speaker 5: be December 19th is the Target Day. So that is
- 45:31Speaker 5: our community shout out. And we also want you to
- 45:39Speaker 5: know that His Hop Nation is a nonprofit organization. We
- 45:45Speaker 5: opened up a Christian club in 2012. You can look
- 45:48Speaker 5: us up online. It was called Club His Hop Las Vegas.
- 45:52Speaker 5: We've been in the news, the newspaper. We were able
- 45:56Speaker 5: to minister for seven years. Out of the club, a 5,000
- 46:02Speaker 5: square foot warehouse, we uplifted the name of Jesus Christ.
- 46:07Speaker 5: We're looking to relaunch. Should we open that again? We
- 46:11Speaker 5: desire Club Hissop Part 2. That's why we became a
- 46:18Speaker 5: nonprofit so that we can get grants and ask our
- 46:22Speaker 5: brothers and sisters to donate, become monthly donors. $ 2 a
- 46:26Speaker 5: month helps. $ 3, $ 5, $ 1, 000, whatever you can do. Become
- 46:35Speaker 5: a monthly donor. You can donate annually. You can become
- 46:39Speaker 5: a sponsor. If you're a business or a business owner,
- 46:41Speaker 5: you can sponsor us. And also, if you know of
- 46:45Speaker 5: any grants or if you know of any grant writers,
- 46:48Speaker 5: send them our way. And we believe that this is
- 46:52Speaker 5: good ground. We believe that God will bless us. We
- 46:59Speaker 5: believe that we're God guides. He provides us. And the
- 47:02Speaker 5: great thing is, is you can write it off for
- 47:05Speaker 5: your taxes because of our nonprofit charity status. With that,
- 47:16Speaker 5: let's go ahead and close out today's episode. So Jeremiah 25,
- 47:26Speaker 5: 12 through 14 reminds us that Babylon's power was temporary power.
- 47:31Speaker 5: and that God would hold the nation accountable for their
- 47:36Speaker 5: own works and wrongdoing. God used Babylon in his judgment
- 47:43Speaker 5: against Judah, but that did not excuse Babylon's actions. God
- 47:53Speaker 5: remained sovereign over history, and no earthly power was beyond
- 47:59Speaker 5: his authority. So we need to take this lesson into
- 48:06Speaker 5: our everyday life. Don't allow success to make us proud.
- 48:12Speaker 5: Don't use our position to mistreat other people. Don't assume
- 48:20Speaker 5: that because something is working out in our favor, that
- 48:26Speaker 5: every decision you've made must be a right decision. Instead,
- 48:32Speaker 5: we need to live with humility, We need to examine
- 48:36Speaker 5: our choices, accept correction where correction is necessary and treat
- 48:42Speaker 5: people fairly. Use whatever influence that we have to serve
- 48:50Speaker 5: others rather than trying to dominate people. Right. We may
- 48:59Speaker 5: not understand everything God is doing in history, but we
- 49:02Speaker 5: can be sure that human power is not the highest authority.
- 49:11Speaker 5: So thank you for joining us. Thank you for sticking
- 49:14Speaker 5: with us in this episode. We're going to continue. on
- 49:20Speaker 5: our next episode to read ahead Jeremiah chapter 25. Just
- 49:28Speaker 5: keep reading that whole chapter. And when we come together,
- 49:30Speaker 5: allow God's spirit to revelate what he wants and Check

- 49:49Speaker 5: it's not about us. It's all about....
- 50:03Speaker 2: You are listening to The Light of Las Vegas. This is...
- 50:07Speaker 2: is the HizHop Radio Show.
