- 0:00Speaker 1: All right. To put a bow on this Washington trip,
- 0:05Speaker 1: I have to say the one point I really want
- 0:07Speaker 1: to hit home, and that I did with the lawmakers
- 0:10Speaker 1: and their staffers earlier this week, is this that when
- 0:15Speaker 1: it comes to March fourteenth and the possible government shutdown,
- 0:18Speaker 1: first of all, keep the funding for those who really
- 0:21Speaker 1: need it, for those who need the insurance, who need
- 0:24Speaker 1: medical supplies, who need research, to make sure that those
- 0:29Speaker 1: who have to go to the hospital for something the
- 0:34Speaker 1: doctors have answers. That's what research is for is and
- 0:37Speaker 1: to have the answers so made, those types of funding
- 0:42Speaker 1: be protected. But the main point I want to say
- 0:45Speaker 1: here on the one leg Up Network to end the
- 0:46Speaker 1: week is this patient doctor relationship is the most important
- 0:52Speaker 1: thing you could think of. And that's why I say
- 0:58Speaker 1: that these resolutions, the four I mentioned earlier in the week,
- 1:03Speaker 1: the Safe Step Act, the Help Copays Act, the Medical
- 1:08Speaker 1: Nutrition Therapy Act, and even the Food Labelization Modernization Act
- 1:18Speaker 1: should all be not only reintroduced but past but beyond that,
- 1:25Speaker 1: these should be passed with the intent of helping the
- 1:27Speaker 1: saber community, not for some showy thing, but for for
- 1:30Speaker 1: for real change here and I know the capitals in
- 1:35Speaker 1: the background to make a point that Washington should do
- 1:40Speaker 1: one big thing for people with disabilities and all of
- 1:44Speaker 1: us for healthcare. May it never allow that doctors and
- 1:51Speaker 1: patient relationships never be interfered with ever. So, whatever you
- 1:58Speaker 1: think of your political view, we can all agree on
- 2:01Speaker 1: one thing to end the week, that the patient doctor
- 2:05Speaker 1: relationship should not be interfered by insurance bureaucratic red tape.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Insurance serves a purpose, but it's not to interfere. And
- 2:16Speaker 1: to end the week, I say this one more time,
- 2:18Speaker 1: ease frustration through legislation on the WOLD look Up Network.
- 2:23Speaker 1: I'm Alex Garrett. We'll talk to you soon.
