- 0:34Speaker 2: I'm your host, gia Raquel Rose, owner of Heirs Above Yoga, and you are listening to Above the Ground podcast, if this is your first time.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Tuning in our network is going into its 15th year and is listened to in over 30 countries.
- 0:48Speaker 2: I would like to personally thank you for giving me the gift of your time.
- 0:51Speaker 2: As always, it is my honor to hold space with you and today we have a very, very special guest, erin Kinkin, and she is going to be one of my favorite interviews, I can tell already, simply because we get to geek out on all things crystal.
- 1:07Speaker 2: So she has.
- 1:09Speaker 2: She is an entrepreneur, a mom and a full time doer of all the things, because she has been in business now for a number of years and her business is creating beautiful artwork and pieces of jewelry.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Business is creating beautiful artwork and pieces of jewelry and I will let her get into all of the aspects of what she creates based on energetic frequency, based on the frequency of the crystals, how she got into it, and I will let her share all that with you.
- 1:36Speaker 2: But I hope I did some honor to you in that introduction, erin.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Thank you so much.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 1:41Speaker 3: I felt so special.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Thank you so much.
- 1:43Speaker 3: That was so kind.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Well, it's so lovely to be here with you too.
- 1:45Speaker 3: I felt so special.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Thank you so much.
- 1:46Speaker 3: That was so kind.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Well, it's so lovely to be here with you too.
- 1:47Speaker 3: I'm so excited to learn more about all the things you're doing, because you have a lot of things you're accomplishing and doing.
- 1:53Speaker 3: It's incredible.
- 1:54Speaker 3: We already talked about the crystals, and we have a lot to.
- 1:56Speaker 3: We have a lot in common.
- 1:58Speaker 2: We do.
- 1:58Speaker 2: We have tons in common.
- 1:59Speaker 2: So I am very excited that your mom brought us together and I love the divine female energy that came together.
- 2:11Speaker 3: She's a very strong woman.
- 2:12Speaker 3: She's been very pivotal in my journey towards creating this business and being interested in crystals, so she's definitely been like a figurehead to like guide me towards this.
- 2:16Speaker 3: We just, you know we had very interesting conversations as a kid and she's very open minded, so she is she's.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Your mom is awesome.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Your mom is awesome.
- 2:23Speaker 2: I love her, I love her so shout out, shout out to us um.
- 2:26Speaker 2: So how did you get started into your affinity for crystals?
- 2:30Speaker 3: yeah, so I it started when I was a child.
- 2:33Speaker 3: I was a kid in the backyard digging in the ground, finding quartz, finding pyrite, knew it, knowing it was special, you know, thinking it was treasure.
- 2:39Speaker 3: It is.
- 2:40Speaker 3: But I knew there was an energy to it and but then my the very pivotal time was when my grandma, my dad's mom, gave me a piece of Lemurian quartz.
- 2:50Speaker 3: At the time I just thought it was a gorgeous, clear stone.
- 2:52Speaker 3: I was 10 and I've kept it with me all of these years.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Now I know it's Lemurian, which is amazing, an ancient civilization, very energetic.
- 3:01Speaker 3: But that was kind of a pivotal time.
- 3:03Speaker 3: I started creating a collection of stones probably around that age.
- 3:06Speaker 3: My mom had gemology books around the house.
- 3:09Speaker 3: I would read those.
- 3:10Speaker 3: And then I went to college and kind of kept the stones with me but I wasn't like super focused on them.
- 3:16Speaker 3: I was studying other things.
- 3:17Speaker 3: And then when I graduated I had a very tumultuous time.
- 3:21Speaker 3: I was going to be moving to Virginia.
- 3:22Speaker 3: I wasn't necessarily tumultuous, but I was nervous to leave New Jersey for the first time.
- 3:27Speaker 3: My mom took me to Three Buttons in Frenchtown, which was owned by Elizabeth Gilbert.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Yes, I love.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Three Buttons, of course.
- 3:33Speaker 2: I've been there, you've been there.
- 3:35Speaker 3: We have so much in common yes, it's the best, it's the best, it was the best place ever and it's not there anymore, but it's not well, at least it hasn't.
- 3:44Speaker 3: When I went, it wasn't there anymore.
- 3:46Speaker 3: I don't know, maybe it's not, I don't think it's there.
- 3:48Speaker 3: So we were like, oh my gosh, stumbled upon it 20, I think it was 2013.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Yeah, and that's kind of when I picked out a bunch of stones that I still have today in the crystal, meaning like the tree and like what it means, and then I that really just pushed me into this like journey of like realizing, yes, I have all these stones, but they all have their own specific meaning.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Yeah, and and and energy that they resonate, and we're talking all about solar plexus, chakra and female empowerment and, you know, tapping into your inner power and your inner fire.
- 4:15Speaker 2: And citrine, just as a note, because you brought it up is obviously one of the one of the fundamental crystals to support your, your inner fire, your, yes, and your beautiful, beautiful sun pendant, your solar plexus and all that, all that internal feminine energy.
- 4:31Speaker 2: And in yoga they, the divine masculine, is usually associated with the sun, but I still think that it doesn't Right.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Well, yes, so, but essentially in yoga there's two sides right there's the lunar, feminine, receptive side, and the solar, masculine side is generally left for feminine, right for masculine.
- 4:50Speaker 2: But when we're talking about the solar plexus chakra, that that's kind of the center of it all, right, like that's.
- 4:56Speaker 2: That's the power center of the body, no matter what you're talking about.
- 4:59Speaker 2: So I think that's absolutely beautiful and a wonderful example of your work to show everyone.
- 5:04Speaker 2: So thank you so much for wearing that, and it's citrine inside.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Yeah, actually, this was actually quartz, so this is actually quartz with mica in it.
- 5:12Speaker 3: But I should have worn citrine.
- 5:13Speaker 3: I should have worn it today, and the other stone I was going to wear was amazonite.
- 5:17Speaker 3: That's good for balancing the divine feminine.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Yep, I love amazonite, so tell me a little bit about so.
- 5:22Speaker 2: So for you it's not it's.
- 5:25Speaker 2: I know you have multiple different aspects.
- 5:27Speaker 2: So you have pure crystal jewelry, but then you also have you do something wonderful with resin that I'm not going to pretend to understand.
- 5:34Speaker 2: So can you go into a little bit for everybody what you're, a little bit of your process without giving away trade secrets of course and and just what you create because it's absolutely beautiful.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Thank you so much well, yeah, sure.
- 5:48Speaker 3: So I was introduced to um organite, actually once again by my mom.
- 5:52Speaker 3: So organite she showed me a piece of organite which is an emf protection device.
- 5:56Speaker 3: It's quartz and copper cured into resin and the copper acts as like a conductor of the quartz kind of.
- 6:04Speaker 3: The theory is to protect you from electromagnetic frequency like 5g, um or you know, um wi-fi things like that.
- 6:12Speaker 3: People are nervous about having too much of that near them and they'll put like a organite pyramid near their computer beautiful um, thank you, and here's one.
- 6:20Speaker 3: Actually this is citrine there, you go.
- 6:21Speaker 2: That was there, you go.
- 6:23Speaker 2: So it's there, we have it, we have it.
- 6:24Speaker 3: It's with us in, in spirit and in practice and I was kind of creating like that, the organite, specifically just organite at first.
- 6:31Speaker 3: But then I strayed away from it because in organite it's only, it's only really quartz.
- 6:35Speaker 3: Sometimes citrine is quartz really too, but yeah, it's obviously just a mineral inside of it.
- 6:40Speaker 3: But I started straying away and kind of going towards just resin.
- 6:44Speaker 3: So I was doing huge resin paintings.
- 6:46Speaker 3: I was very familiar with the, the resin as an art and like doing ocean paintings.
- 6:51Speaker 3: But with when I had my first son I realized I left my, my job after he was born and I was just starting to create things for fun, smaller items, and I started carrying um quartz and not not just quartz but all types of stones like lapis lazuli, amazonite, citrine into resin.
- 7:07Speaker 3: And when I would cure them in and make pendants for people I loved, I realized the energy radiating from them was stronger and I kind of went into this process of like studying it, wondering why and remembering like organite as well.
- 7:19Speaker 3: But this isn't organite, it's just stones in resin.
- 7:23Speaker 3: When the resin puts pressure and cures around the stone, it amplifies the energy of the stone within and it effectively surrounds you in like an aura of that energy.
- 7:34Speaker 3: So I do have like an amazonite here which is very good for divine feminine, and there's amazonite gold leaf just for beauty and the resin and it's called I I called an amplified energy and that is my little like trademark thing that I'm doing now that I spoke with you about earlier yeah, congratulations yeah, thank you so much, you're welcome that's awesome getting that settled, but it's uh, it's a really interesting process of how it, how it works.
- 7:59Speaker 3: But I enjoy speaking with people and figuring out something that like energy they need and we find a crystal tailored for them, and when I put it into the resin, um, and they wear it, um, yeah, it amplifies the energy.
- 8:09Speaker 3: But it's also psychology when you're putting on a pendant of an energy that you need, you're reminding yourself of your own inner power to be able to accomplish, uh, what you want to do, or follow your own path yeah, it's a.
- 8:22Speaker 2: It's a physical manifestation of intention.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Setting is how I look at it.
- 8:25Speaker 3: Right and you can charge right.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Yeah, and you can charge crystals with your intention and energy.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Obviously, it's best to have a crystal that is in alignment already, like if you need to be grounded using a black tourmaline, something, you know, something to that effect, or even like hematite, something like that.
- 8:41Speaker 2: But but if you're looking for, you know, like you said, with the Amazonite, something for balancing or or or drive with citrine, right, Like having that intention and kind of knowing enough, or talking to someone like us, or starting to do your own research into what kind of crystals can best support the intention that you have for yourself, but first you have to come up with that intention, right?
- 9:01Speaker 2: So, like you have to have that sense of self awareness.
- 9:04Speaker 2: But I'm a firm believer.
- 9:07Speaker 2: You know everything has energy, right, In this, in this world, everything has energy and I love we were talking a little bit before we jumped on and you mentioned that even your quartz countertops have energy and it's and like that's something that I will say with my other, with the other business that I'm in, that I never really think about, but it's so true.
- 9:23Speaker 3: Yeah Right, I know I think about all the time you go into see gorgeous quartz countertop and I'm like this has energy.
- 9:27Speaker 3: We have one in our kitchen.
- 9:28Speaker 3: I'm like touching it and my you know, my husband, mike, he's like what are you doing?
- 9:31Speaker 3: And I'm like this holds.
- 9:45Speaker 3: The stones carry so much energy, this ancient wisdom.
- 9:46Speaker 3: They were created by you know, the same creator that created us by, like, god and mother nature.
- 9:48Speaker 3: It's, you know, it's all one.
- 9:49Speaker 3: But it's so fascinating, even the stones, like if you have a gravel driveway, you pick them up.
- 9:53Speaker 3: It's like they may just look gray and not special, but they are, they have an energy they do it all, it all does and it's all like.
- 10:00Speaker 2: You know, that's just like, just like humans and just like animals.
- 10:03Speaker 2: It's similar but it's different.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Right, we're all part of part of the same energy, but we all have our little like snowflake blueprint right and crystals are very much the same even the same kind of crystal carries its own specific energy, right, um, and I I've, when I did have, I have a piece of lemurian quartz as well and it is it's like you, certain stones and this is something that and I want to ask about this but uh, that you kind of have to really tap into yourself to be able to tune into.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Um, but I do love, like when I held the lemurian quartz for the first time, I felt like I'm gonna use the word heavy, but I don't mean heavy in a bad way, I mean heavy in a strong way.
- 10:42Speaker 2: It I mean heavy in a strong way.
- 10:44Speaker 2: It had, like weight, gravitas, if you will to it right and I was able to feel that.
- 10:48Speaker 2: And then there are certain, like I remember, I worked with an energy healer many, many years ago and she would say there are stones.
- 10:55Speaker 2: She was like that stone that Crystal doesn't like you, that Crystal doesn't want to be, which exactly?
- 11:00Speaker 3: that was kind of my reaction at the time too, I can understand.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Right.
- 11:10Speaker 2: But like, like you think about it and and I remember to that effect, I was told, well, I was told once that like, listen to the crystal.
- 11:13Speaker 2: So like if you, for example, put a piece of jewelry on before you leave the house and it falls off, it doesn't, it doesn't want to go with you, that day, that kind of thing.
- 11:22Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like you have a bracelet on and you set an intention into.
- 11:24Speaker 3: When it falls off, usually it's come true or you don't need that energy or you just don't need to be focusing on what that intention was anymore.
- 11:32Speaker 3: It's not serving you.
- 11:33Speaker 3: It's a yeah, it's definitely like a little like um wisdom from the universe, kind of telling you something we have to pay attention to yeah, 100, 100.
- 11:41Speaker 2: so do you have?
- 11:42Speaker 2: I mean I and so.
- 11:44Speaker 2: So I don't know if we've touched on it yet, but your, your business that you've created is waves of prana, and, and I love the name.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Can you tell me a little bit about how you came, kind of came up with that name?
- 11:56Speaker 3: Yeah, sure.
- 11:57Speaker 3: So I mean, as you know, prana is very big in yogic philosophy, yeah, and the the energy, life force, like the source of life and flows through the chakras.
- 12:06Speaker 3: So I love that word, prana, I love it.
- 12:10Speaker 3: I think it's such a beautiful word.
- 12:11Speaker 3: It is a Hindu word and I was really into yoga at that time too and I was like this is such a beautiful word, I love to use this word and I was making a lot of ocean paintings at the time, so really at the the time it was waves waves of like life, but also like physical ocean, and it's life force, energy, which is inside of us, like we always have waves, whether it's tumultuous or it's calm and kind of just pieced together in that way.
- 12:36Speaker 3: So that's why I chose it.
- 12:37Speaker 2: That's awesome.
- 12:38Speaker 2: I love that.
- 12:38Speaker 3: I wanted people to remember that they have.
- 12:40Speaker 3: They each have prana inside of them, like we all have prana, and you can access it through your setting your intentions and you can align it through setting intentions.
- 12:48Speaker 3: And wearing a crystal can be kind of like your guide.
- 12:51Speaker 2: So when you're putting the crystal on it's your guide, but inside you really have the power already to to align yourself 100% and and one of the reasons I mean yoga is a huge you know there's lots of different ways to to help your, to help your energy, right?
- 13:05Speaker 2: I'm a Reiki master as well.
- 13:06Speaker 2: So between yoga, between Reiki, between crystal energy, you know there's so many different ways, but it starts with the intention setting right.
- 13:15Speaker 2: It all starts with the self-awareness and the awareness that you know you want to feel better.
- 13:20Speaker 2: For a lot of people, I think, when it comes to yoga specifically, and then when you're moving into and that's kind of like the I call it the gateway right, like the gateway drug is is yoga for for energetic experiences, right, because it gets you feeling into your body.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Because, let's face it, if you are not someone who has a practice of, of that depth of feel or that kind of closing down the outside world, to kind of tune in, if you go into a crystal shop and you pick up a crystal, you may not feel a lot out of the gate, and I think that some people have like a blockage, or there are people that don't believe that crystals do anything and it's like, well, physically, they prove that they carry an energy field.
- 14:01Speaker 2: If you, if you attach an electrode to certain crystals, things, things happen right.
- 14:05Speaker 2: So they do physically have an energy field and they can physically, you know, charge things.
- 14:11Speaker 2: I'm not a scientist, I've never pretended to be one, so I'm not going to get into the, and if you have any insight on that, please do share, because I know that your amplified energy is is working towards that, and I didn't actually know that resin amplified the, the towards that, and I didn't actually know that resin amplified the quality of the stones, but that's, that's amazing and I absolutely love that.
- 14:31Speaker 2: So you know how.
- 14:31Speaker 2: So, to that end question for you how does the and I know you said it's, it's beautiful, it's kind of an aesthetic choice, but how?
- 14:38Speaker 2: Because you do a little bit of gold and silver correct as well inside?
- 14:42Speaker 3: the resin doesn't actually have any gold and this one actually is just quartz with um.
- 14:46Speaker 3: Well, there's angel aura quartz too.
- 14:48Speaker 3: So like angel aura, like an iridescent sheen and my powder, but some of them have the gold leaf, like here's.
- 14:55Speaker 3: I can just pick it up and show you it does have the leaf in it um that could be a conductor, because metal is a conductor of the stone, but that's not quartz, that's amazonite and really it's just like, since resin is fluid, when you're working with it, putting in gold leaf is just nice because it kind of goes in whichever direction it's going to go and then it hardens and, yeah, it's just beautiful.
- 15:14Speaker 3: People have been putting gold leaf and things like that for so long.
- 15:17Speaker 3: That's that's just like a beautiful thing.
- 15:19Speaker 3: I mean, I, when I first created these, I had never seen them.
- 15:22Speaker 3: So I saw, I saw on Etsy I've been selling for eight years now yeah, um, and when I first started these, I, yeah, I had never, never seen anything like them.
- 15:29Speaker 3: I think, as the years have gone, I had more, but um, it's, the gold leaf is really.
- 15:35Speaker 3: I just put it in for that added effect.
- 15:38Speaker 3: But the crystal, of course, is.
- 15:39Speaker 3: Um, I do sage my office and sage my studio here and make sure the crystals have clean energy, pure energy, before I put them in.
- 15:47Speaker 3: However, even when you know, even if you go into a crystal shop and you pick up the stone that's been touched by multiple people, you can cleanse it yourself with your own energy.
- 15:56Speaker 3: I think we spoke about that.
- 15:57Speaker 3: You can just hold it.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Yes, but let's speak about it again.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Yeah, please.
- 16:05Speaker 3: So how do you, how do you cleanse your crystals?
- 16:05Speaker 3: If you don't mind sharing for our listeners?
- 16:06Speaker 3: Well, sage is, I mean, definitely white sage is a very it's an indigenous practice.
- 16:08Speaker 3: Indigenous people of America were using white sage out west for a long time to burn and cleanse negative energy away.
- 16:18Speaker 3: So that is definitely a practice that is is is real and you can burn sage.
- 16:23Speaker 3: But you don't necessarily have to have something tangible like that.
- 16:26Speaker 3: You can actually just do it with your really with your solar plexus or kind of in between.
- 16:29Speaker 3: I guess right here I will feel like a light kind of.
- 16:33Speaker 3: You know you can, you can emanate a light from yourself.
- 16:35Speaker 3: You can picture, like close your eyes, picture this light coming out of you, like your aura bubble holds the crystal to you and, just you know, ask for it to benefit, you ask for any negativity to be removed and if you are peaceful on that moment, kind of like a meditative state, just setting that intention, you can cleanse the stones and they will serve you in that way.
- 16:57Speaker 3: But if you prefer to do it in a physical way, you can put them in salt water or you can obviously put them outside in the full moon.
- 17:03Speaker 3: That's really cool.
- 17:04Speaker 3: But honestly, holding them and setting that intention with your mind especially when you get a new stone or a new piece of jewelry, I always tell people, put your own intention into it, like tell the stone like what you, what your, what your hopes are, your dreams, like your goals, and it will also be a psychological effect for you too.
- 17:21Speaker 3: When you're putting it on, you're going to remember like you're making that commitment to yourself.
- 17:24Speaker 3: And there, of course, is energy within the stone, like if there absolutely is, and you can feel that.
- 17:29Speaker 3: But it's also like a reminder, tangible, um commitment yeah, no, it is, it's, it's, it's.
- 17:36Speaker 2: I, I love that.
- 17:37Speaker 2: I think that's that's very, very well said.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Uh, and so do you, and when.
- 17:43Speaker 2: So what is your process like when you set out to make like a piece, let's just say a pendant, for example?
- 17:48Speaker 2: How, what's your process from point A to point B?
- 17:51Speaker 2: Do you set an intention for the pendant to serve its highest use, or whatever it might be?
- 17:56Speaker 2: How do you go from acquiring a stone, let's say, at a stone shop, to through the process of the end game of the pendant itself?
- 18:04Speaker 3: So, yeah, I always I speak to people, I speak to my people.
- 18:07Speaker 3: I buy from first and a lot of the stones I do buy from will be like South America.
- 18:12Speaker 3: I have some from Russia and I speak with people.
- 18:14Speaker 3: Usually on Etsy there's a lot of people who will sell stones.
- 18:16Speaker 3: You can speak with them personally, figure out where the stones are coming from.
- 18:19Speaker 3: A lot of times it's like large pieces that they're trying to mine, like a large piece of amethyst, and they're just going to throw away the shavings so they can sell them for very cheap.
- 18:28Speaker 3: Because it's like just literally the tiny pieces, yeah, and you're buying that, and it's if they're so special, but they're just small so nobody really wants them, unless you're going to be doing something like a project with them, right, but when you acquire them, you know they've always obviously been touched by people and you know there could be negative energy.
- 18:45Speaker 3: But it's, yeah, it's very easy to just cleanse that by setting your own intention into it, saying a prayer over it, essentially too, yeah, absolutely Tapping into your own wisdom, and we'll kind of figure out what's the best crystal that's going to be like helping you in your journey right now that you can wear and really feel good about and it's going to bring you that energy.
- 19:13Speaker 3: So maybe like a new mother, I would suggest Pearl Pearl's really great for mothers and so it was Amazonite because it's good for divine feminine and like balancing the yin and the yang, the masculine, the feminine, like we talked about.
- 19:27Speaker 3: Yeah, um, so maybe amazonite and pearl together, I would pick those two out and cure them into the resin for her and when she gets it I would tell her.
- 19:34Speaker 3: You know, tell the pendant your fears but also your hopes, your wishes, your dreams, set that intention into it and when you put it on, like feel the energy, like blessing you I love that.
- 19:44Speaker 2: That's beautiful.
- 19:45Speaker 2: That's beautiful.
- 19:46Speaker 2: So talk to me a little bit because you mentioned, so you know, part of this is, you know, trying to keep balance right.
- 19:53Speaker 2: I'm a huge as a yoga instructor.
- 19:54Speaker 2: I'm a huge like proponent of balance, because life can get life is chaos, right, like life is chaotic, and you are now a mother of two, correct?
- 20:04Speaker 2: Yeah, two boys, and what?
- 20:07Speaker 2: The oldest is six, if, if, memory serves, yes, and so there you go.
- 20:13Speaker 2: It does work sometimes and I didn't remember, and so do you so, and you started putting these jewelry.
- 20:19Speaker 3: So you've been doing this resin art since before college, around college no, it was after I graduated college, a long time ago, like 15 years ago.
- 20:30Speaker 3: I want to say more than that.
- 20:31Speaker 3: I can't even do math in my head right now.
- 20:36Speaker 3: I'm trying to think 12 years ago.
- 20:37Speaker 3: 12 years ago I graduated.
- 20:40Speaker 3: But I know I've been doing resin art for I've been doing resin art for eight years, or almost not eight, eight, nine years.
- 20:47Speaker 3: Big paintings.
- 20:48Speaker 3: And I started this journey seven years ago, so I started the attendance when I was pregnant, at the very beginning of being pregnant, seven years ago.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Oh wow.
- 20:54Speaker 2: So this was literally so.
- 20:56Speaker 2: You pivoted as you were as you, so you pivoted as you were as you, so you gave life to this, as you were creating life kind of.
- 21:01Speaker 3: That's exactly right, it was very creative from my life and I was trying to figure it out and it kind of just blossomed and everybody asks where did it come from?
- 21:06Speaker 3: And I'm like I really don't even remember.
- 21:08Speaker 3: It feels like a blur.
- 21:09Speaker 3: It just kind of like gave life to both almost at once and focused on my son a lot, of course, when he was born.
- 21:15Speaker 3: But then as he got a little older and then I was kind of like I took off with it too, just started doing this yeah, yeah, no, I think that's amazing.
- 21:21Speaker 2: So how do you, how do you strike a balance for yourself?
- 21:25Speaker 2: Because it's not even you know trying like.
- 21:28Speaker 2: So now you're trying to have have this amplified energy trademark, so now you're taking on the trademark universe, which is a whole, a whole.
- 21:36Speaker 2: You know very talk about masculine energy.
- 21:38Speaker 2: That's a very like right masculine, very government, lots of government.
- 21:42Speaker 3: I don't really like working with the government but works the government a lot, so he was able to help me kind of figure that out.
- 21:47Speaker 2: Wonderful yeah.
- 21:50Speaker 3: He actually has a lot of the feminine he does, he has a lot of the caring energy, but he is able to tap into that other too.
- 21:55Speaker 3: But you know, I would love to talk about that really quick Because, yeah, please, by all means, yeah, actually talking today.
- 22:00Speaker 3: So actually, my sacral chakra is slightly blocked right now.
- 22:03Speaker 3: For sure, I know I can feel it Because I have been so stressed in my life.
- 22:07Speaker 3: I feel like I have so much.
- 22:08Speaker 3: There's a size like we all have societal pressures.
- 22:11Speaker 3: The world is kind of chaotic right now.
- 22:13Speaker 3: I get stressed, I tap into like the news and I see what's going on.
- 22:16Speaker 3: I get so sad, I get burdened by that.
- 22:18Speaker 3: And I have my kids and I.
- 22:20Speaker 3: You know they're the greatest blessings of my life, but that's pure chaos too.
- 22:24Speaker 3: It's just, you know, I embrace it, but it's like, oh my gosh, the whirlwind chaos Like, and when you try to balance childcare or watch.
- 22:31Speaker 3: You know I'm watching them with my business and having a small business, even if you don't have kids, having a small business is so chaotic too.
- 22:38Speaker 3: That's the pressure we put on ourselves, a lot of striving for the next thing and not living in the present.
- 22:44Speaker 3: Very, very wounded masculine energy.
- 22:49Speaker 3: I have felt all of those things recently, trying to be like, oh, I really have to get my business like in this direction as fast as I can, but then I find myself not having the time.
- 22:57Speaker 3: And then this creativity, like this artist that lives inside of me because I have this kind of chaotic artist, I say that like lives inside of me.
- 23:06Speaker 3: I feel like it's he's, or he or she is like in a cage, like let me out, you know, like like this wild animal trying to get out, to, like, you know, get to my art.
- 23:10Speaker 3: But then, um, so all of those things, that's like all chaos that blocked my sacral chakra.
- 23:16Speaker 3: And actually this conversation with you was like so divinely timed.
- 23:20Speaker 3: When you reached out, I was thinking about how I like need to unblock my energy and I've been kind of just like going through the motions and prior to our conversation, I started thinking about it even more.
- 23:31Speaker 3: And I think the only antidote to to solving this, for for all of us really, if you have that, that stress and that that blocked chakra, which I totally can resonate with, is like dropping into the present moment and just like, if you drop into the present moment, you essentially, you know, stop the mental warfare of trying to move forward as fast as you can, which is the masculine energy that's, you know, hammering down our feminine energy, because it's the we're to where we feel like we can't rest and we have to keep moving as fast as we can.
- 24:03Speaker 3: And yeah, I've totally felt trapped in that.
- 24:05Speaker 3: But I realize, even if all these crazy things are going on around me, I have the power to just like find that.
- 24:11Speaker 3: There's a quote I love.
- 24:12Speaker 3: Like you know, peace is not, um, it, being in a quiet environment, peace is being in the middle of chaos and finding that, the peace within your heart dropping down into the present.
- 24:23Speaker 3: So, if I just like name three things I can feel or see, like, oh, I see you, I hear your voice, I feel myself sitting in a chair, I see the trees outside and then I'm like I'm present and that chaos can't really reach me in that moment, and that's I feel like that's the only antidote and I try so it's practice.
- 24:42Speaker 2: It is, everything is a practice.
- 24:43Speaker 2: But I also think that you know it's very, very true and I've been working on that as well, because stress for me in my quote, unquote, day job and you know, just at life, that balance of masculine and feminine, that drive right Like that's's all of us have to do, that we live, you know and I.
- 25:02Speaker 2: There is a quote and it's not by me and I've mentioned it before.
- 25:05Speaker 2: It's like you know it was written by uh, I want to, I'm not even gonna say because I don't know, but the quote essentially says you know, enlightenment and then laundry.
- 25:14Speaker 3: that's like the gist of the quote right, like you have these, like these, like profound insights and I did not coin that.
- 25:20Speaker 2: I will, I will deep dive, I will google that and, you know, tag it in the post and it is, and it's because you're still.
- 25:26Speaker 2: We live in a 3d, we are still surrounded by mundane reality.
- 25:31Speaker 2: That is still a necessity for as balanced a life as we can create in that 3d reality.
- 25:36Speaker 2: So we still need to pay our taxes to the governmental entities, right, we still need to put gas in our trucks and food in our bellies and over our heads, the dishes, the lawn, all of those things thinking about that too.
- 25:47Speaker 3: It's like what, exactly what you said?
- 25:49Speaker 3: Laundry and dishes.
- 25:50Speaker 3: I was thinking about those two things because I was like you know every single person in the world.
- 25:53Speaker 3: If you're blessed enough to have a washing machine and a dishwasher, oh my gosh, like that's a blessing.
- 25:57Speaker 3: But I take it for granted, right, if you have the things and you're, these things are piling up, if you just like, let it be a stressor to you, it'll just affect you so negatively.
- 26:05Speaker 3: But if you think of it as a blessing like I've had clean clothes, my family's had clean clothes to wear all week, we've had food in our bellies all week this is a blessing to see these things.
- 26:13Speaker 3: The opposite would no dishes because nobody's eating, and that's that's awful.
- 26:17Speaker 3: So it's like totally perspective and that's how we unblock it, right.
- 26:20Speaker 3: Like that's how you unblock, that's how you remove the stress.
- 26:22Speaker 3: And it's hard, it's easier said than done, but it is, but it's, it's.
- 26:26Speaker 2: it's a practice too.
- 26:27Speaker 2: It's flipping the script.
- 26:28Speaker 3: It's exactly what you just said and it's about dropping back in like okay, I'm here and I can handle this way, because it's like I'm feeding myself and feeding my kids.
- 26:39Speaker 2: Like that's a gift, that's a blessing, if I think like I feel this lightness yes, yes, and, and it, and it is a blessing and you know, having a car to put gas in is a blessing right like and and so, having that, you know again, I say this almost every episode trite but true, it's trite for a reason, like the attitude of gratitude, like that just and, and gratitude, I think, in its in and of itself, is very divinely feminine, because it's being grateful is receptive energy.
- 27:09Speaker 2: You cannot be grateful and not be receptive because you are giving thanks for the receipt of something, even if it's dirty dishes right.
- 27:18Speaker 2: Like so.
- 27:19Speaker 2: So if you to tap into that divine and I've been working for my own self a lot on being the calm within the storm there's been a lot of chaos around me from like the day job stuff recently that I've been going through and I've really been kind of diving into for me a lot, and as a yoga instructor, it's the breath.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Like coming back to the breath as as another way to drop into your body and drop into the present, present moment is is tapping in like hands on the heart, hands on the solar plexus works really well for breath.
- 27:48Speaker 2: To write your diaphragm is right, right at your solar plexus and just breathe into your hands.
- 27:54Speaker 2: Close your eyes if you want to.
- 27:55Speaker 2: You know, focus on, look at one of your beautiful pendants, hold something, whatever it might be, and really and really tap into I'm safe in this moment, like I'm safe.
- 28:05Speaker 3: I'm safe.
- 28:06Speaker 3: That's the best thing you can say.
- 28:07Speaker 3: I am safe, yeah, and it's like what you described as like a tool belt, and it's like if you fall off the you know the wagon, you feel in chaos.
- 28:13Speaker 3: It's okay, because it happens to all of us.
- 28:15Speaker 3: It's okay to feel this chaos but, like you said, if you have a tool belt of breath or you know your meditative practice and you're wearing your tool belt, you can say, oh my gosh, I'm feeling like totally, um, untethered and crazy and stressed.
- 28:26Speaker 3: I'll pull from my tool belt, I'll just sit for a second and take a breath and then it's like it's all okay because you can just start over again.
- 28:32Speaker 3: You can always start over and find that peace like it's okay.
- 28:36Speaker 3: If you if are a peaceful person and feel tumultuous, I always like I tell myself.
- 28:39Speaker 3: That too.
- 28:40Speaker 3: I'm like it's all right if you have a day or a moment as long as you remember, like I have the tools to get back to alignment yeah, and it's also the chaos is always there, right?
- 28:51Speaker 1: chaos is always there yeah, it doesn't.
- 28:52Speaker 2: It doesn't matter what it is, it's always there.
- 28:54Speaker 2: The peace is also always there.
- 28:56Speaker 3: Yes, it's so true, that's exactly right.
- 28:58Speaker 3: When people yes, it's so true, that's exactly right.
- 28:59Speaker 2: When people say, choose peace, it's really easy to say that, and then when you're in the throes of whatever, it is like the kids are running around.
- 29:07Speaker 2: For me, I have two dogs that drive me absolutely, one of them's a hound and he just howls.
- 29:11Speaker 3: He's very loud.
- 29:13Speaker 2: It's very loud.
- 29:13Speaker 2: I have to lock myself in my office and put noise canceling headphones on to get anything done.
- 29:18Speaker 2: But you know you have this.
- 29:20Speaker 2: The chaos is all around and it never stops.
- 29:22Speaker 2: The peace is always within and it's always within you, and so that's why the hand, like the hand on the body somewhere, is very helpful.
- 29:30Speaker 2: Yeah, do it.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Do it now, let's do it together, right, but the peace is always within us.
- 29:36Speaker 2: And you just have to quiet down.
- 29:39Speaker 2: It can be a moment, it can be five minutes and a meditation practice is, you know, the traditional way for that.
- 29:46Speaker 2: But as you start to develop that, I've been working on calming and and, yes, about peace, but also like kind of coming from like almost like a steadier heartbeat, almost like a calmer baseline, and trying to have and trying to make that my baseline.
- 30:06Speaker 2: So when I start to spiral, when I start to focus on the negative, when I start to I'm a, I'm like a big what if?
- 30:13Speaker 2: Person, right, which is not good, but it's like, well, this could go wrong, that could go wrong, right, and that's a very feminine thing right Like like I think
- 30:20Speaker 3: women are much, much more worrisome overall than and I don't want to say than men, they're trying to protect things, so you're like, well, what could go wrong?
- 30:29Speaker 3: I need to protect things that I love and myself, and, you know, everybody around me yeah.
- 30:32Speaker 2: So it creates this like add fracture of, like all of the things that could possibly go wrong.
- 30:38Speaker 2: And then you're you.
- 30:39Speaker 2: You know they say like worry is a prayer for what you don't want to happen.
- 30:41Speaker 2: So now you're projecting out into the universe all of these things that you don't want to happen, right and so that.
- 30:48Speaker 2: But it's also coming from that masculine energy where you're, you're now projecting right.
- 30:53Speaker 2: So we're yes, these are potential.
- 30:56Speaker 2: Anything is possible, right, anything is literally possible.
- 30:59Speaker 2: We could both get hit by a meteor right now.
- 31:01Speaker 2: In theory, right, like anything is possible.
- 31:03Speaker 2: But at the same time, in this moment, currently, you're in your studio, I'm in my office, we're both safe, right, and if we can establish that baseline, your body and your mind, your heart, their muscles, just like, just like your, just like your bicep.
- 31:23Speaker 3: And if you start, the tension goes away.
- 31:25Speaker 3: Because that is such a great idea too, because I need to embody that, like having that baseline.
- 31:29Speaker 3: And then you know when you're not on baseline.
- 31:31Speaker 3: When you're stressed, your body probably feels like this isn't right, because if stress becomes your baseline, it's harder to break out of it.
- 31:36Speaker 2: It is, it is and that, and I like I breathe audibly when I get upset or if I get like mad or angry or whatever, like I'll be.
- 31:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I do too.
- 31:47Speaker 3: You know what I mean.
- 31:50Speaker 2: And a lot of people do and that's like a great first step.
- 31:53Speaker 2: But, like, if you catch yourself doing that, that like that can be your trigger Right, your, your bracelet that may fall off one day because you've practiced that enough to know that back back together it's so true right like, yeah, and if you fall off the wagon or fall off, not the wagon I guess, but if you're falling off like the peace train, I guess, yeah, I love the peace train, I love that.
- 32:16Speaker 3: We all want to be on the peace train.
- 32:18Speaker 2: So if we fall, we all want to be on the peace train get back on, do our breath and then we're back on it.
- 32:21Speaker 2: So exactly and just trying to cultivate a baseline for yourself that is more calm, so that you know, the more you practice, the more calm you are during during your day, the better.
- 32:32Speaker 2: The better businesswoman you are, the better mom you are.
- 32:36Speaker 2: The better wife you are, the better you know dog, dog, parent.
- 32:39Speaker 2: You are right.
- 32:40Speaker 3: Like being a dog mom.
- 32:41Speaker 3: I love my dog just as much.
- 32:42Speaker 3: Like side to side note, everyone says like do you like not care about your dog?
- 32:45Speaker 3: No, you have kids and I'm like she's my first baby.
- 32:48Speaker 3: She's 11 and I'm like oh the kid.
- 32:50Speaker 3: I have three kids, so yes, yes, she was the firstborn?
- 32:54Speaker 2: yes, she's my child too.
- 32:55Speaker 2: I adore her.
- 32:56Speaker 2: She's been with you.
- 32:58Speaker 2: You created this business, you know like with her by your side, because your, your son, was still in your belly right, so she was there with you for like a lot of my adult life.
- 33:08Speaker 3: Um, yeah, yeah, she's been with me forever and it's like she's a being she's.
- 33:11Speaker 3: We have a soul contract.
- 33:12Speaker 3: I know we do, I know she's more she's.
- 33:15Speaker 3: You know she has a soul and I know that we are, like you know, tied together in that way and we'll be together in the afterlife too.
- 33:20Speaker 3: And if people think, oh, like animals might, they're not as important as humans, but that's just not true.
- 33:25Speaker 3: We are all.
- 33:26Speaker 3: We all have a soul, everything on earth.
- 33:27Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, she's, she's very much, has her own little wisdom they always do, and they all they're I mean dogs are.
- 33:34Speaker 2: Dogs are very, very special.
- 33:35Speaker 2: All animals are very, very special, but I have an affinity for dogs.
- 33:38Speaker 2: Right, they are, they are our protectors, they are our.
- 33:40Speaker 2: You know, they teach us above, I think, any other animals on planet earth.
- 33:45Speaker 2: Dogs teach us unconditional love.
- 33:47Speaker 2: Yeah, even more so than cats, because cats teach us above, I think, any other animals on planet earth.
- 33:47Speaker 2: Dogs teach us unconditional love.
- 33:48Speaker 2: Yeah, even more so than cats, because cats teach us unconditional indifference, and I love cats.
- 33:52Speaker 3: But yeah, cats teach us patience.
- 33:54Speaker 3: Maybe, I don't know, I had a cat growing up and I loved her.
- 33:55Speaker 3: She liked me, she liked women, but she didn't really like men.
- 33:58Speaker 3: So like if a man came into the house she would hide under like a, like a desk and like attack their leg and run away.
- 34:03Speaker 3: And I was like that's just how she is.
- 34:06Speaker 3: Like I mean, we don't judge, but I don't know, I don't know, we adopted her, so she probably had some trauma and she was trauma.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Yeah, that's, that's the unhealed feminine right.
- 34:13Speaker 2: Yeah, it was um, but yeah, you know.
- 34:17Speaker 2: So we have this like and I don't again like dogs are so unconditionally loving that I think, if we aspire to be even one iota close to like their, their compassion, their level of compassion and love, we're doing.
- 34:32Speaker 2: We're doing great in this life, you know, we're just doing that.
- 34:34Speaker 3: That's so true Dogs are.
- 34:36Speaker 3: She's such a guide to me, like she's such a blessing when I take time alone with her and take just her on a walk and like have time with her.
- 34:42Speaker 3: It's just like I do feel, like I'm I drop into the present because she just wants to sniff and she wants to see what's going on in the world in this very present moment, that she's not worried about the future.
- 34:51Speaker 3: Maybe she's worried at dinnertime, like you know, it's five o'clock.
- 34:53Speaker 3: Where's my dinner?
- 34:53Speaker 3: Like that's the only time, but otherwise she's very present.
- 34:57Speaker 2: Absolutely they do, and we have and we can learn.
- 35:00Speaker 2: Animal, all animals, live in the present and we can learn so much from that.
- 35:03Speaker 2: You know, we're the only.
- 35:04Speaker 2: We're the only.
- 35:05Speaker 2: I think we may very well be the only ones that don't right as yeah, oh my god, we think we're advanced, but we're not so much yeah yes, I think otherwise we're like, not symbiotic with nature sometimes.
- 35:16Speaker 3: We're not symbiotic with like being just, like we're just, we're so complex at this point, humans are so complex that, like simplicity used to be, I guess, guess.
- 35:24Speaker 3: Well, life was harder.
- 35:25Speaker 3: Of course, for our mega ancestors, who were gathering, that was, life was much harder, but there wasn't worry about like.
- 35:32Speaker 3: I feel like this competition in this rat race obviously wasn't a thing.
- 35:37Speaker 2: No, our brains.
- 35:38Speaker 3: I don't know if our brains have really caught up to to handle it without feeling all that stress which then affects the body physically.
- 35:44Speaker 2: Right.
- 35:44Speaker 2: And that's where, like, you know the, that's where you get into like, the whole disease conversation of like stress, stress manifests in the body and that's disease Exactly 100%.
- 35:53Speaker 2: And that's why I and that's one of the reasons why I do this, this podcast is, you know, it's, it's yoga, it's nutrition, it's meditation, it's the, it's the things that that try to get people back into their body, back into paying attention to like, the tangible reality of what like really matters.
- 36:09Speaker 2: Because, at the end of the day, if you don't have your health, that's it Right.
- 36:13Speaker 2: That's it Because you know you can be the best, you can be the best mom, you can be the best female entrepreneur, you can have the most successful business and if, knock on wood, god forbid, something happens physically, you know you have a health scare.
- 36:27Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like you're healthy.
- 36:28Speaker 3: If you don't have your health, it's only that's the one thing you wish for, so you can take care of.
- 36:32Speaker 3: You know, the ones who have to do things that you want, that you love.
- 36:34Speaker 3: Do you have recommendations for like yoga poses for opening that solar plexus and kind of getting back into your divine feminine?
- 36:43Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 36:43Speaker 2: So I did an episode, a couple.
- 36:46Speaker 2: The first episode of this sequence was all about the solar plexus chakra and it's basically it's very close to heart openers, right, because it's just beneath the heart chakra twisting, and so what I?
- 36:56Speaker 2: What I did for that particular episode and I won't go totally back to deep dive it, but the short version is that the there's two.
- 37:03Speaker 2: I brought up the divine, masculine and feminine right, because it's the solar plexus chakra.
- 37:07Speaker 2: We're talking about heat.
- 37:08Speaker 2: So, with all chakras, as you were talking about the block chakra, potentially of the sacral right, which is the creative chakra, so for you that's a super important chakra, right, because you're creating these beautiful pieces of art that are that are serving other people's energies.
- 37:22Speaker 2: So it's a massive I don't know if you know like the weight of the task that you've given yourself, but you are truly.
- 37:31Speaker 2: You are bringing divinity and you're bringing amplification of energy to other people.
- 37:33Speaker 2: So you're doing something.
- 37:34Speaker 2: We're not doing very dissimilar things, just in different ways, and yours is much more tangible right.
- 37:39Speaker 2: So it's a gift.
- 37:40Speaker 2: What you're doing is truly a gift, but essentially, you know we talk about imbalance and balance.
- 37:45Speaker 2: So you can have a block chakra, you can have an overactive chakra that actually pulls energy from the chakra around it and you can have an underactive chakra that's not developed or that's again having energy, I'll say, reappropriated by an overactive chakra.
- 38:00Speaker 2: So so that's one way to look at it as well, and yoga is one of the best ways for people that maybe don't have you know the sense or aren't checking in daily, either through Reiki or their own pendulum practice.
- 38:13Speaker 2: However, you balance your own chakras.
- 38:17Speaker 3: I've always been told my crown and my third eye are very open actually.
- 38:21Speaker 3: So for me it's like I'm very, very in tune with spirituality and with this, my intuition.
- 38:25Speaker 3: But then my throat chakra, I do believe, is either under, just underactive as well, and I'm what I call a recovering people pleaser.
- 38:34Speaker 3: Recovering because I'm aware of it.
- 38:35Speaker 3: I think I think women, specifically men too, but a lot of women and people who identify as women are, are people pleasers, because you feel like you have to be submissive and kind of compliant and you can't stand out too much, you can't say no, you can't, you know, disrupt too much, and then that's just that's BS, because you are allowed to take up space, you are allowed to speak your mind, follow your truth, and that's something for me that I've worked on.
- 38:58Speaker 3: So, yeah, the sacral too, I know, I know my sacral is, it's active, but I do feel like when I get that stress, it gets like you know, it gets tense, and I have to get out of that space to open it up before I can work, like you said, because I feel like the creativity will not flow and I will not work if I'm not feeling creative.
- 39:14Speaker 3: I'm not going to force it until it opens.
- 39:16Speaker 3: And when I find a moment of peace, which is actually as simple as walking my dog around the block, just with her, I feel like all of my chakras will just kind of align.
- 39:25Speaker 3: I swear when I'm just alone with her or in nature, yeah, just with myself, and then I can get back to my family and like, be the best, yeah, be the best version of myself.
- 39:33Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, and you need to have.
- 39:35Speaker 2: You need to have that balance.
- 39:36Speaker 2: And so when when I was talking about and it's so funny, so the first, the first episode of this sequence about the solar plexus chakra was called, stop apologizing and with an exclamation point and it was all, and it was exactly about what you just said and it's like take up space like you are allowed to be and to speak and to have a voice and and turquoise is a really good uh crystal for a throat chakra really anything blue yep yep, exactly, it's amazing how stones are associated with the chakras.
- 40:04Speaker 2: Like, as I've studied them, they really didn't make sense because we um the yogi, ancient yogis knew the energy obviously was associated with a certain color, and then there's no coincidence that certain stones are going to be helping you with that, that energy right, and when I do, when I practice reiki, I generally like I will, before I go to a client that I've already worked on, I will go through my crystal collection and I will, either just energetically or with a pendulum, I will bring the stones that I think that they need and I'll place them on their different chakras, on their bodies.
- 40:35Speaker 2: Unless they have, like, let's say, an injury on the shoulder, I might place it on there, but generally it's it's it's on the chakras to bring them into balance and alignment.
- 40:43Speaker 2: So when we talked about yoga poses for that, for the solar plexus chakra specifically, there's the yin and the yang right, the male and the female, and so for restorative and more calming, soothing, bringing maybe an overactive like, let's say that you went through a day where you chose that you had to deal with the government about the trademark issue, right, I would come back and I would do some, some twisting.
- 41:07Speaker 2: So twisting is a nice gentle, opening kind of kind of think of wringing out the body to release that space.
- 41:17Speaker 2: It releases tension in the, in the back, and then if you, let's say, felt like you needed to get some drive maybe you have a little bit of low energy then you're thinking about your like your warriors right, opening this space, feeling that strength feeling that you know bringing bringing your awareness.
- 41:36Speaker 2: Boat pose, navasana, strengthening your core muscles, really burning that fire feeling, and then that's going to bring the masculine aspect up right.
- 41:43Speaker 2: So, depending on what you need, depends on which poses are going to best suit.
- 41:48Speaker 2: But I do want to mention for you also that when we're talking about your throat chakra and potentially having an underactive or like maybe a little imbalance there, your chakras are directly related to the opposing chakras.
- 41:59Speaker 2: So your crown and your root are connected, your third eye and your sacral are connected and your throat and your solar plexus, ironically enough, are connected and the heart is the bridge, as I like to say, for all of them.
- 42:10Speaker 2: So if you're thinking about, like, as we're talking about, the solar plexus chakra, I think that one of the best ways, a really great balancing pose for both, is fish pose, if you're familiar with yoga and you're familiar with fish pose.
- 42:22Speaker 3: I'm not actually familiar with fish pose.
- 42:24Speaker 2: Really Okay.
- 42:24Speaker 2: Okay, I love, I love fish, so I will give.
- 42:26Speaker 2: It's not I don't usually do the descriptions, but I will.
- 42:29Speaker 2: I will give the description as long as you have Okay, I have a neck injury, but as long as your neck is okay and you can do this supported, and I I definitely suggest supported.
- 42:36Speaker 2: But fish pose is where you arch the upper back and you open the throat and you balance on the crown of the head.
- 42:46Speaker 2: So it so, and what I like to do is I like to take a pillow or a bolster and basically from the base of the skull, through the back of the heart center, bra line-ish lift up and then you can relax and then you, you release, the shoulders open, the throat is opening and stretched you don't want any tension or pain in the neck ever and then you can either have your legs out flat or, if you want to be, if you want to be a little more aggressive about it, you can put your hands behind your sacrum, press your elbows in and do it unsupported, and then it's more of a workout for the, for the triceps a little bit.
- 43:22Speaker 2: The elbows press your chest up and you're just resting the crown of the head.
- 43:25Speaker 3: So it's very opening.
- 43:27Speaker 2: It's opening, it's a heart opener, it's a throat opener, and it and it the solar plexus is like kind of the focal point doing most of the work.
- 43:35Speaker 2: So it's a great one for almost I will even say balancing the masculine and feminine, because it can be as aggressive or as restorative as you want it to be, depending on what you feel you need I love that.
- 43:46Speaker 3: That's so interesting.
- 43:47Speaker 3: I'm gonna have to look that one up too, and you explained it very well, so I hope, I hope so, and I know I think I have a couple videos.
- 43:53Speaker 2: Fish might actually be, because I had uh suggested taking shavasana in fish.
- 43:56Speaker 2: Um propped up, obviously not not in the uh working aspect of the pose, but um, so I think I did post a video on that one on on this particular podcast, in association with the years above yoga um Instagram as well.
- 44:10Speaker 2: So before we wrap up, um, I definitely want everyone to be able to reach out to you and find you and your beautiful artwork.
- 44:18Speaker 2: One more question for you Do you have a favorite?
- 44:22Speaker 2: I already mentioned to you when we were going back and forth that I'm I'm super into the, into the empath protection.
- 44:26Speaker 2: Uh, still, pendant that you have, um, I was about to say crystal, but it's a, it's a.
- 44:31Speaker 2: Can you mention that quickly and then tell me what your favorite one is, if you have one, yes, I well, that's what I love.
- 44:37Speaker 3: I, I'm an empath as well.
- 44:39Speaker 3: I mean, I think we can.
- 44:40Speaker 3: We have so much similarity, I think we could both garner that we're both empaths.
- 44:43Speaker 3: But yeah, um, I do.
- 44:45Speaker 3: I am very partial to tourmaline.
- 44:47Speaker 3: For that reason, black tourmaline is wonderful empath protection stone, just gonna help you block out energy vampires, but also just preserve your own energy, like it's a lot about protecting your own.
- 44:56Speaker 3: Um, black tourmaline is wonderful for protection.
- 44:59Speaker 3: My favorite, though, is actually I really love um turquoise and pearl.
- 45:04Speaker 3: Turquoise and pearls together, I love turquoise and pearl, turquoise and pearl together.
- 45:07Speaker 3: I love turquoise.
- 45:08Speaker 3: It's very enlightening, it's very throat, chakra opening, but it's also very spiritual it's very associated with the upper chakras and connecting you to spirituality and enlightenment.
- 45:18Speaker 3: Indigenous Americans also would use it in spirituality and consider it a very magical, very powerful stone.
- 45:23Speaker 3: And it certainly is.
- 45:26Speaker 3: And pearl pearl I love, just because it's really.
- 45:28Speaker 3: It's cool when you mix the two together, but pearl is actually a very good stone for tranquility and peace, but also new beginnings.
- 45:34Speaker 3: Obviously, the way pearl is created.
- 45:36Speaker 3: Yes, it's not really a crystal or a stone, but it is still.
- 45:39Speaker 3: It's an.
- 45:39Speaker 3: It's an incredible piece, you know, made by a living organism out of a piece of sand.
- 45:44Speaker 3: Um, so here's one, actually right here.
- 45:45Speaker 3: It's turquoise and pearl.
- 45:47Speaker 2: Oh, it's beautiful.
- 45:48Speaker 3: This is one of my favorites.
- 45:50Speaker 3: The energy is very soothing and calming, but it's also very uplifting.
- 45:53Speaker 3: It's going to be bringing you up to the chakras.
- 45:55Speaker 3: But yeah, the other one I don't have it here, but it would be actually the black tourmaline.
- 45:59Speaker 3: Which one were you looking at?
- 46:07Speaker 2: Which one did you like?
- 46:07Speaker 2: The?
- 46:07Speaker 2: There was the empath protection stone.
- 46:08Speaker 2: Was it black or was it?
- 46:09Speaker 2: Uh, what it was?
- 46:10Speaker 2: It was it was.
- 46:10Speaker 2: It was black and pink.
- 46:10Speaker 2: The.
- 46:10Speaker 3: The pendant itself was black and pink well, I would love to make one and send it to you.
- 46:14Speaker 3: So if you have a, oh my gosh, it's amazing afterwards, but yeah, so you'll talk afterwards for sure.
- 46:19Speaker 2: No, I love that and I've always wanted a watermelon.
- 46:23Speaker 2: I had.
- 46:23Speaker 2: I have a piece of black tourmaline that I that I actually usually wear with this.
- 46:26Speaker 2: I don't have it on right now because the chain got a little twisted, but but watermelon tourmaline, I've never owned a piece and I've always thought it was just so beautiful.
- 46:34Speaker 2: It's such a cool because it's it's got the green on the outside and the it's literally looks like watermelon pink and white and black.
- 46:40Speaker 3: It's amazing yeah it's amazing.
- 46:42Speaker 2: It's amazing.
- 46:43Speaker 2: So will you please tell our viewers how they can find you, how they can shop with you, how they can connect with you if they want to potentially create their own, either Organite pyramid to protect themselves or one of the beautiful pieces of jewelry to kind of uplift and bring attention and send it.
- 46:59Speaker 2: There you go.
- 47:00Speaker 3: It's gorgeous.
- 47:01Speaker 3: I mean, how beautiful is that?
- 47:02Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, these are really cool to have on your desk.
- 47:04Speaker 3: This one has citrine on the very top there's a big piece of citrine.
- 47:07Speaker 2: Yes, it's beautiful.
- 47:08Speaker 3: So I went on Instagram.
- 47:10Speaker 3: It's pretty easy to access me on there because I check my messages pretty frequently.
- 47:13Speaker 3: It will go directly to me.
- 47:15Speaker 3: It's waves of prana art, waves like ocean waves of prana, p-r-a-n-a art.
- 47:22Speaker 3: And then from there I have a link to my Etsy so you can buy things on my Etsy Etsy page that way, and I'm currently building a website right now, which is very exciting.
- 47:34Speaker 3: So I'm going to have my own website which will have all of my newer pieces and that will just be announced through my Instagram.
- 47:38Speaker 3: It'll be on there and through there I'm going to be having custom kind of an application for custom pieces where we can actually meet and talk with somebody, for you know, like a 30 minute period, we can talk about things that you're going through and certain crystals you're looking for.
- 47:52Speaker 3: We can kind of do like a crystal prescription.
- 47:54Speaker 3: I'm calling it.
- 47:55Speaker 3: I love that you figure out the best pendant for you, something that you can wear and set an intention into.
- 48:01Speaker 3: Yeah, because we talked about it's also psychology.
- 48:03Speaker 3: It's when you're putting it on, you're reminding yourself.
- 48:05Speaker 3: I'm making this commitment to myself, and if I'm nervous and in a moment I can have a tangible reminder, I can hold it.
- 48:11Speaker 3: So it's kind of like a little custom thing that somebody can make for themselves and that's going to be an option on the website.
- 48:18Speaker 3: But you can of course, message me on Instagram.
- 48:20Speaker 3: People request custom pendants all the time via Etsy or Instagram.
- 48:26Speaker 2: And request custom pendants all the time via etsy or instagram, and they are, and they are absolutely beautiful and, um, we will.
- 48:29Speaker 2: We will definitely make sure that we get an image of your favorite one or whichever you choose up when, when I post this.
- 48:34Speaker 2: Uh, so, thank you so much for being with us today and sharing your story and how you came upon all this, and I just I mean, your work is so beautiful, it's so special, so I want to thank you so much.
