- 0:00Speaker 1: Mister New York Mark Simone.
- 0:05Speaker 2: R Well, Liz Peak, the brilliant columnus. You can read
- 0:09Speaker 2: her columns of Fox News, and make sure you check
- 0:11Speaker 2: her website. There's great stories up there today. Lizpeak dot com,
- 0:15Speaker 2: lizpeak dot com. Course you see her all over television.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Liz Peak. How you doing.
- 0:20Speaker 1: I'm terrific. Thanks for having me on. Mark.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Hey, California primary, Steve Hilton got more votes than anybody.
- 0:27Speaker 2: What do you think does he have a chance?
- 0:29Speaker 3: Yeah, Well, what I think is that he'll be a
- 0:32Speaker 3: contender in November.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Thank Heavens for that. You know, if you take his
- 0:37Speaker 1: vote and line it.
- 0:37Speaker 3: Up against the combined votes for Tom Steyer, you know,
- 0:42Speaker 3: and Tony Batara, he probably is not ahead. And that's
- 0:46Speaker 3: sort of the Democrat establishment plus left wing foot loops,
- 0:50Speaker 3: yeah versus you know, versus Steve Hilton.
- 0:53Speaker 1: But look, I think he does have a chance.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Why seventy percent of voters in California say they want
- 0:59Speaker 3: to change, and Steve Hilton is talking to that desire
- 1:03Speaker 3: for change. He's proposing common sense fixes to a lot
- 1:08Speaker 3: of the things that ail California. How can Democrats pretend
- 1:11Speaker 3: to be the party of affordability? When every major city
- 1:16Speaker 3: except for ones in Hawaii, that are the most expensive
- 1:19Speaker 3: to live in are in California. There's no reason for that.
- 1:23Speaker 3: Hawaii is far away, I get that. California, No, it's
- 1:27Speaker 3: right here, and yet it is outrageously expensive because of
- 1:31Speaker 3: bad policies, because of strangling regulations on businesses, because of
- 1:36Speaker 3: permitting inaccessibility, the fact that it's impossible to build, and
- 1:42Speaker 3: high taxes. People kind of like they have an out
- 1:45Speaker 3: of body experience. They don't believe that high taxes wend
- 1:48Speaker 3: their way into higher prices. Of course they do. It
- 1:52Speaker 3: drives up the price of everything. So California has seven
- 1:55Speaker 3: dollars gallon gasoline? Why taxes and fees and all the
- 2:00Speaker 3: stupid things that they've done to make gasoline practically extinct
- 2:04Speaker 3: in the state of California.
- 2:05Speaker 1: So do I think he has a chance.
- 2:07Speaker 3: I'm ever optimistic about the common sense of the American people.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Mark who knows. I mean, I think.
- 2:14Speaker 3: You're going to have the public union's public employee unions
- 2:17Speaker 3: lined up aggressively against him. You're going to have a
- 2:20Speaker 3: lot of people who want to go out and vote
- 2:22Speaker 3: for the wealth tax. That's going to probably draw a
- 2:25Speaker 3: lot of the fringe left to the ballot box. But look,
- 2:30Speaker 3: California is losing businesses, losing people, losing revenues, and all
- 2:35Speaker 3: of those people are being replaced by illegal aliens who
- 2:40Speaker 3: are not paying their way. So yeah, I think California
- 2:43Speaker 3: has got problems. Steve is offering solutions. Let's hope the
- 2:46Speaker 3: voters recognize that.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:48Speaker 2: What is it with Democratic voters? You know they'll scream
- 2:50Speaker 2: about tariffs that could raise the price. Yeah, but the
- 2:53Speaker 2: corporate taxes a tariff, it's democratic tariffs, so the I mean?
- 3:00Speaker 2: And then Democrats have controlled every inch of New York,
- 3:02Speaker 2: the city government, the state government for twelve years. How
- 3:06Speaker 2: does Mom Donny get away with running on the affordability
- 3:09Speaker 2: crisis I.
- 3:10Speaker 3: Know, and reforming New York. None of it makes any sense.
- 3:15Speaker 3: People are not thinking through his policies. I'm sure you
- 3:19Speaker 3: watch all his adulation on Twitter or x as I do.
- 3:25Speaker 1: People come in and say, look what he's already done.
- 3:28Speaker 3: He's filled one hundred thousand potholds, He's improved housing affordability
- 3:33Speaker 3: and availability, He's done this and that.
- 3:35Speaker 1: No, he hasn't.
- 3:36Speaker 3: He's talked about a lot of stuff, and you know,
- 3:39Speaker 3: in the next couple of years, let's see, as the
- 3:43Speaker 3: CEO of Goldman Sachs said in a recent interview, let's
- 3:46Speaker 3: see if he knows how to govern. I mean that
- 3:48Speaker 3: is a little different than campaigning, although he's already taken
- 3:52Speaker 3: much of his office and devoted it to in effect
- 3:56Speaker 3: constant campaigning. With this sort of promotional videos and TikTok
- 4:00Speaker 3: IDAs that he's got going on.
- 4:02Speaker 1: I mean, it's really appalling to me. But you know,
- 4:05Speaker 1: we'll see what he produces.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Hey, what about La. It looks like Pratt has a
- 4:10Speaker 2: real shot to win this. Of course, you've gotta wait
- 4:12Speaker 2: days and days to see what happened and during this
- 4:15Speaker 2: mail and that's where all the cheating happens. But could
- 4:17Speaker 2: Pratt be yeah, exactly.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Well, he certainly is in good position right now, nine
- 4:23Speaker 3: points ahead of the number three person, Karen Vass, astonishingly
- 4:26Speaker 3: because I think she has the appeal of I don't know,
- 4:30Speaker 3: a stale piece of bread. Is in the lead and
- 4:35Speaker 3: certainly leading Spencer Pratt, But he seems to be number two.
- 4:39Speaker 3: You know, you always worry in California that all these
- 4:42Speaker 3: mysterious ballots come in after the fact, after the date,
- 4:46Speaker 3: and all of a sudden he loses but his lead's
- 4:49Speaker 3: pretty big. I would think it's gonna And by the way,
- 4:51Speaker 3: it's like two thirds of the vote's been counted, right,
- 4:53Speaker 3: so it's not it's not forty percent, it's sixty seven
- 4:57Speaker 3: or something percent.
- 4:58Speaker 1: So it's a big lug of it. Let's just hope
- 5:02Speaker 1: is fair and honest and that.
- 5:03Speaker 3: He has a chance, because my gosh, again, what has
- 5:06Speaker 3: Karen Bass done for Los Angeles?
- 5:09Speaker 1: That?
- 5:10Speaker 3: I mean, my line for Steve Hilton was what do
- 5:13Speaker 3: you have to lose to California voters for LA What
- 5:16Speaker 3: has Karen Bass done?
- 5:18Speaker 1: I can't think of a single thing.
- 5:20Speaker 2: So these crazy left wing socialists. Is a Democrat party
- 5:24Speaker 2: ever going to clean house and get back to normal, Well.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Not anytime soon, because the money is coming from the
- 5:30Speaker 3: far left.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Money is power.
- 5:33Speaker 3: And you know when you have someone like Mom Donnie
- 5:37Speaker 3: endorsing a real wing nod this person's Cheva. I don't
- 5:41Speaker 3: know how that she pronounces that chevalier or whatever, who
- 5:44Speaker 3: is really racist and offensive and doesn't even think Bernie
- 5:48Speaker 3: Sanders and Elizabeth Warren are far enough left and taking
- 5:52Speaker 3: on by the way, a five turn Democrat who's head
- 5:57Speaker 3: of the Hispanic Caucus. Wow, I mean about a leap
- 6:00Speaker 3: into the unknown. Will people follow him? I don't know.
- 6:05Speaker 3: I mean I think I think you're seeing a lot
- 6:08Speaker 3: of money coming in from anti Israel groups, pro Muslim groups,
- 6:12Speaker 3: I said on Varney this morning. I mean, I think
- 6:14Speaker 3: American's got to take a moment to say, what's on
- 6:17Speaker 3: the other side of that anti Israel trade. I mean,
- 6:20Speaker 3: Graham Platner in Maine is accusing Susan Collins of taking
- 6:23Speaker 3: APAC money. Where's his money come, Frank? I mean, who's
- 6:27Speaker 3: on the other side of the anti Israel trade. It's
- 6:29Speaker 3: pro Muslim, anti American groups that are anti capitalists and
- 6:34Speaker 3: really don't want our country to succeed. So I think
- 6:39Speaker 3: people need to take a moment here and figure out
- 6:41Speaker 3: which side of that are there on the pro Hamas
- 6:43Speaker 3: group or pro Israel group.
- 6:45Speaker 1: To me, that's a pretty easy decision to make.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Hey, apparently the Bidens need money. They got huge overhead,
- 6:52Speaker 2: and so Joe Biden the book is to raise some
- 6:55Speaker 2: money and cash in. But this book, to hearth, this
- 6:59Speaker 2: is not helped the Biden images.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Hahaha, No it is not, because every time she opens
- 7:04Speaker 3: her mouth we are reminded of how completely hapless Joe
- 7:07Speaker 3: Biden was the essential lie of the last four years
- 7:11Speaker 3: that Joe Biden was capable of running again. Every you know,
- 7:14Speaker 3: they're going to whitewash this now, Mark, but every Democrat official,
- 7:18Speaker 3: every Democrat place, you know, stakeholder was raising their hand
- 7:23Speaker 3: and saying, oh, yes, Joe's in perfectly good shape. And
- 7:26Speaker 3: she was the cheerleader number one. So they have all
- 7:31Speaker 3: this angst about not releasing an autopsy. Holy crow, I
- 7:35Speaker 3: can write their autopsy. The reason they lost in twenty
- 7:37Speaker 3: four was that everything about the party was dishonest. It
- 7:40Speaker 3: was dishonest to pretend Joe could run, It was dishonest
- 7:44Speaker 3: not to have any kind of primary to choose his successor,
- 7:47Speaker 3: and everything Kamala Harris's.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Campaign on was dishonest. I mean really, it was like,
- 7:52Speaker 1: you know, a cataclysmic defeat. It's true, but it's not
- 7:56Speaker 1: really hard to figure out why.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Yeah, well, the cover up was just the most disgraceful
- 8:02Speaker 2: thing in the history of a media and journalism. So
- 8:04Speaker 2: this Barry Weis's cleaning house at sixty minus, is this
- 8:07Speaker 2: like the beginning maybe of the end of fake news.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Maybe maybe they'll get the oh.
- 8:11Speaker 1: There's always going to be fake news.
- 8:14Speaker 3: What amuses me, is there're so irate that a wealthy
- 8:18Speaker 3: person who owns the network now is supposedly determining editorial content.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Well maybe not.
- 8:26Speaker 3: Maybe he just wants to get the organization back into
- 8:29Speaker 3: the center where it can appeal to both left and right,
- 8:32Speaker 3: as opposed to narrowing its target audience. But all they're
- 8:38Speaker 3: mad about is that their guys are no longer in charge.
- 8:41Speaker 3: It was always wealthy people looking the station, and they
- 8:45Speaker 3: just had a different political slant. There's nothing morally highbrow
- 8:50Speaker 3: about that or anything really to take umbrage about. It's
- 8:53Speaker 3: as your team lost. You know, elections have consequences, so
- 8:57Speaker 3: to economic decisions, so to business decision. And if somebody
- 9:01Speaker 3: like Jeff Bezos comes along and makes a fortune and
- 9:05Speaker 3: decides to buy the Washington Post.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Guess what, that's his right. And if he wants to.
- 9:10Speaker 3: Change the Washington Post a little bit editorially or at
- 9:14Speaker 3: least have some influence in that, that is his right,
- 9:18Speaker 3: just like it's the right of the Sulzberger family to
- 9:20Speaker 3: influence the New York Times. So there's nothing new here
- 9:23Speaker 3: under the sun. It's just whose team is at bat
- 9:27Speaker 3: And Scott Pelley behaved abominably in a meeting and then
- 9:31Speaker 3: in the follow up meetings. If you've read the letter
- 9:34Speaker 3: that his boss posted to or sent to him, it's
- 9:38Speaker 3: a very well written letter.
- 9:39Speaker 1: It's like I was hoping to have a civil discourse.
- 9:42Speaker 1: We did not. You did not, and so you're fired.
- 9:46Speaker 3: And you know what, Honestly the shoot spot of these
- 9:52Speaker 3: liberal entertainers and newspeople and stuff.
- 9:55Speaker 1: They think they are so important. Mark guess what they're not.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, And the record shows William Paley a couple
- 10:02Speaker 2: of times called Edward R. Murrow into the office and
- 10:05Speaker 2: yelled at them to drop a certain story. You're right,
- 10:07Speaker 2: it's been going on forever.
- 10:09Speaker 3: Course, if you own a property like a news station
- 10:13Speaker 3: or a newspaper or whatever, you have some say. And
- 10:18Speaker 3: I mean, honestly, this trickles down to kids today who
- 10:20Speaker 3: just don't think they have to do it all with
- 10:22Speaker 3: their boy Remember when they had to sit in of
- 10:24Speaker 3: Apple employees demanding certain things refusing it was actually I
- 10:29Speaker 3: think about showing up in the office two or three
- 10:32Speaker 3: days a week. They refuse to do it, and then
- 10:33Speaker 3: some of them got fired, and it's like, what why
- 10:35Speaker 3: is it? You know, there's no sense of accountability. Yeah,
- 10:39Speaker 3: I guess what if your boss is your boss, you
- 10:41Speaker 3: need to listen to them.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Yeah, well, great stuff, Liz Peak. You can read her
- 10:45Speaker 2: columns at a Foxnews dot com, but go to her website.
- 10:47Speaker 2: There's a lot of good stories up there, lizpeak dot com,
- 10:50Speaker 2: lizpeak dot com. And we'll see on a television course.
- 10:54Speaker 2: And thanks for being with us.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Thank you, Mark, take care right, take.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Care and you forget But Clay, I listened to them
- 11:01Speaker 2: every day noon to three, and then you got the
- 11:03Speaker 2: most listened to radio show in America, Sean Hannity. And
- 11:06Speaker 2: make sure if you haven't listened yet, listen to Jimmy Faylor,
- 11:09Speaker 2: an excellent show. It's so funny, every night nine to
- 11:12Speaker 2: midnight on seven ten wor
