- 0:00Speaker 1: I am Sherri Mackey, and it's time for us to
- 0:03Speaker 1: go to God in prayer. And as always, I invite
- 0:06Speaker 1: you to join along with me in prayer. And today,
- 0:10Speaker 1: I just want the Lord to increase our expectations. Oh,
- 0:14Speaker 1: Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come
- 0:16Speaker 1: before you today asking you to increase our expectation. Lord,
- 0:21Speaker 1: enlarge our faith, stretch our vision, and help us to
- 0:24Speaker 1: believe you for things that are bigger than what we
- 0:27Speaker 1: can see right now. Deliver us from expecting disappointment because
- 0:31Speaker 1: of what happened yesterday. Don't let past failures, unanswered prayers,
- 0:35Speaker 1: or difficult seasons convince us that we should stop believing
- 0:39Speaker 1: you for better. Oh, Father, your word declares in Ephesians
- 0:42Speaker 1: 3 and 20 that you're able to do exceedingly, abundantly,
- 0:46Speaker 1: above all that we ask or think, according to the
- 0:50Speaker 1: power that works in us. So, Lord, help us to
- 0:52Speaker 1: make room in our hearts for what you are able
- 0:55Speaker 1: to do. God, we expect your wisdom when we face
- 0:58Speaker 1: difficult decisions. We expect your peace when life becomes overwhelming.
- 1:02Speaker 1: We expect your strength when we grow weary. and your
- 1:06Speaker 1: comfort when our hearts are broken. We expect your guidance
- 1:09Speaker 1: when we don't know which way to go and your
- 1:11Speaker 1: presence when we feel alone. According to your word in
- 1:15Speaker 1: Philippians 4.19, we trust you to supply our needs according
- 1:19Speaker 1: to your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. We expect
- 1:22Speaker 1: you to provide daily bread, open doors of opportunity, and
- 1:26Speaker 1: give us wisdom to manage what you place in our hands. Lord,
- 1:30Speaker 1: we expect healing. We expect strength. We expect comfort in
- 1:34Speaker 1: times of sickness. We expect restoration of joy after seasons
- 1:37Speaker 1: of sorrow. We expect the courage to rise again after disappointment,
- 1:42Speaker 1: the grace to forgive after being wounded, and the faith
- 1:46Speaker 1: to begin again when life doesn't go like we plan it.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Oh God, we expect you to work in our families
- 1:52Speaker 1: Touch our children. Touch our grandchildren. Give them wisdom. Protect
- 1:56Speaker 1: their lives. Guide their decisions and draw their hearts toward you. Oh,
- 2:00Speaker 1: strengthen marriages today, God. Restore healthy relationships and give families
- 2:05Speaker 1: the grace to walk through difficult seasons together. Oh, God,
- 2:09Speaker 1: we expect you to help us to grow spiritually. Increase
- 2:12Speaker 1: our hunger for your word, our desire to pray, our
- 2:15Speaker 1: sensitivity to your spirit, and our willingness to obey you. God,
- 2:19Speaker 1: help us to become more loving, more patient, more disciplined,
- 2:23Speaker 1: and more generous and more faithful. Oh, Father God, we
- 2:27Speaker 1: expect opportunities to serve others. Courage to walk in our
- 2:31Speaker 1: purpose and God deserving to recognize the doors you want
- 2:35Speaker 1: us to enter. Help us to stop disqualifying ourselves because
- 2:39Speaker 1: of our past, because of our present limitations or what
- 2:42Speaker 1: we don't possess yet. Your word declares in Romans 15
- 2:46Speaker 1: and 13 that you are the God of hope who
- 2:49Speaker 1: fills us with all joy and peace as we trust
- 2:53Speaker 1: in you. So God, we want to overflow with hope
- 2:57Speaker 1: by the power of the Holy Spirit. Lord, increase our expectation,
- 3:01Speaker 1: but also, God, increase our patience. Teach us to trust
- 3:04Speaker 1: your timing, accept your wisdom, and remain faithful when the
- 3:08Speaker 1: answer looks different from what we imagine. God, we will
- 3:11Speaker 1: expect peace in the waiting strength, in the battle wisdom
- 3:15Speaker 1: for the journey in grace for today and hope for tomorrow. God,
- 3:19Speaker 1: we will not let disappointment destroy us. our expectation. We
- 3:23Speaker 1: will not let fear silence our faith, and we will
- 3:25Speaker 1: not let what we see today limit what we believe
- 3:28Speaker 1: you can do. Lord, our expectation is in you, not
- 3:32Speaker 1: in perfect circumstances, not in people's promises, but in your
- 3:36Speaker 1: unfailing character and your eternal word in Jesus' name. Amen, amen, amen.
