- 0:29Help yourself. And there's a mail pouch for you back in the caboose.
- 0:32Oh, that'll have my tobacco in it.
- 0:34Hank, tell the men I got some real fine leaf tobacco for chewing.
- 0:37It came in the mail pouch. the men wanted a share lined up in the caboose.
- 0:41You others, get these barrels of spice off the flat top.
- 0:45the story of a great American tradition. Mail pouch chewing tobacco.
- 0:49Mail pouch was America's first brand of leaf tobacco.
- 0:52And it's been pleasing men ever since.
- 0:54That's because mail pouch has its own special one-of-a-kind flavor
- 0:58that comes from over 90 years' experience in giving tobacco chewers what they want.
- 1:03A clean, fresh taste that's not too strong, but it can taste sweet either.
- 1:07A flavor that really lasts and satisfies a man all day long.
- 1:11So if you haven't tried mail pouch lately, chew a few packs and taste the mail pouch difference.
- 1:17You'll see why it's become a tradition to chew mail pouch and treat yourself to the best.
- 1:26the day is done.
- 1:28Coming home.
- 1:30the time to let it go.

- 15:53Alexander with three game winning hits for the Indians in the course of a week
- 15:58Gary however with the two strikeouts in the first game has spanned 83 times in 76 games

- 16:14Jefferson looking in, here's the first pitch to Alexander, a fastball strike of an ease, strike one
- 16:23White Sox hung on to beat Minnesota, the first of a doubleheader, eight to five
- 16:31the pitch is a strike again of an ease, strike two

- 17:15Andre Thornton the first baseman, Andre won for twelve in the series after going 0 for 4 in the first game

- 18:21Wind up on the 3-0 pitch to Bernie, that's high, ball four, he walked Carbo on four pitches

- 19:10Now runs, no hits, a walk and a man left, and at the end of an inning and a half it is Cleveland nothing, Toronto nothing
- 19:40And it's the other way around, no matter what you do, no matter when or where
- 19:51You know a glass of blood is like an easy chair when you visit Bird's Bay
- 20:01Hey, that's right, nothing goes with that special time, you call yours like the clean, fresh taste of Budweiser
- 20:13When you visit Bird's Bay, you stay with all and either voice things away
- 20:21Well they're close to the pitchers for the second game at Minnesota, Ron Schuller will be pitching for the Chicago White Sox
- 20:30Darrell Jackson will be pitching for the Minnesota Twins
- 20:35Gene Mark had a few more gray hairs obviously in that first game and the Twins committed five errors in losing to the White Sox 8-5
- 20:45Here's Rico Cardi in the home half of the second inning, right hand batter, Rico the DH in the first game was 0-3 with a walk
- 20:53He is now hitting 2-89
- 20:57Cardi with 11 homers and 44 RBIs in the first pitch, his low ball

- 22:00Friesleben ready with a 2-2 pitch, takes a long look
- 22:07and the 2-2 offering to Rico slaps it back to Kiper on the bounce, Dwayne picks it up, throws the first one out of the second inning
- 22:18John Mayberry, the first baseman, was a pinch hitter, he flied to left field to end the ball game
- 22:26and was his only at bat in the first game, he's now two for five in the series but he's walked three times
- 22:32Big John hitting 2-57, with 13 homers and 42 runs batted in
- 22:43Look at Kiper, he is back in right field, he is playing short right field
- 22:50Flanks with that three man shift, looks like the way out of man in a softball game, that's right
- 22:57Bell playing well back at third might prompt Mayberry to try and bunt, he doesn't look like it, takes the first pitch, a curve strike one
- 23:07Tommy Hutton on deck
- 23:14Friesleben ready
- 23:17Pitch, Mayberry takes low and outside
- 23:25One ball, one strike

- 23:36Giants came up with three runs in the top of the seventh to take a 7-5 lead and Atlanta just came back with four more to take a 9-7 lead at the end of the 7th inning to play
- 23:46Friesleben giving the Giants fits

- 24:32Mayberry back in after giving a little exercise to that bruised foot, 2-2 pitch, low and outside, full count of 3-2
- 24:47Indians play Mayberry around to the right side and the right fielder Norris is within two steps of the warning path, here comes the payoff pitch to Mayberry, high pop fly ball, center field, Manning cruising over to straight away center and makes the catch
- 25:05Two outs for the second inning
- 25:08Brings out Tommy Hutton the right fielder, Tommy hitting 2-48, two homers, eight runs batted in, 0-2 in the series with one run scored

- 25:31Baltimore rained out today in their game with Boston
- 25:35Wind up by the right hander and the pitch to Hutton, low ball one
- 25:41Tommy previously with the Phillies and Friesleben with the Padres so they probably have faced each other a time or two
- 25:491-0 pitch, there's a pop up out over the mound, coming on behind the mound is Buddy Bell, makes the grab in the air and the side is retired 1-2-3
- 26:00At the end of two innings of play, Cleveland nothing, Gerardo nothing

- 27:17Used it to hold off the Montreal Expos 5-4 Vukovic gets the win
- 27:22Buddy Schultz picks up his fourth save
- 27:25Took two hours and 40 minutes for the Cardinals to win and they have now won five out of their last six ball games
- 27:31And as I say that is the first of a doubleheader
- 27:36This is the second game of the doubleheader in Toronto and the Indians won the first game 2-0
- 27:42Rick Waits and Jim Kern combining on a three-hit shutout
- 27:51Dwayne Kuiper will lead it off in the third inning for the Cleveland Indians
- 27:55Kuiper a left hand batter, Dwayne in the first game went one for three
- 28:02He's hitting 2-59
- 28:05No homers, 17 RBIs and he is 4-4-11 in the series
- 28:10Pitch to Dwayne, low ball one
- 28:15Manning extended that hitting streak of his in the first game to eight games in a row
- 28:19Kuiper's now hit safely in 14 of his last 16 games
- 28:23First ball strike for the knees, one ball one strike
- 28:26Kuiper blanks and the top of the order Norris
- 28:31Jesse Jefferson the right hander wheels and deals and Kuiper slaps a little looper on into left field
- 28:36That's going to drop for a base hit
- 28:38Kuiper's singles and the Indians have a man on leading off here in the third inning of play
- 28:47Kuiper obviously in the good groove now as he will tell you
- 28:51the base hits come, they come that way on drives into left field
- 28:55and that time he swung nicely and served the ball into left field for a single
- 28:59That'll bring on Larvell Blanks, Larvell set out the opener
- 29:02He's hitting 2-22 with 12 runs batted in
- 29:05Blanks is 0-1 in this series but he does have a run batted in and a sacrifice fly
- 29:12Number nine man in the tribe order and they're looking for the bunt
- 29:15Stretch, Blanks to bunt, does out in front of the plate
- 29:17Ashby out, bounces in the ball, double pump throw to first and they just got him
- 29:22I don't know about that, here comes the argument
- 29:27Boy oh boy that was, well, close enough to warrant the argument that is now going on
- 29:34Second baseman, the K was late getting there, Ashby had the ball but no place to throw it
- 29:40the sacrifice for Blanks, Jeff Torborg and Rocky Calabito
- 29:44have both chewed on the ear of the first base umpire Larry McCoy obviously to no avail
- 29:49That's going to bring on Jimmy Norris, Norris had a fly ball to center field in the first inning
- 30:06Runner at second base and one out

- 38:27Pitch was outside
- 38:31McKay singled her right, Ashby bowled out trying to bunt and Johnson slapped a single with the runner going and now the Blue Jays have runners at first and third
- 38:40One out, stretch by Friesleben and the pitch, outside again, ball three, three and one
- 38:51Friesleben is going to take a little hike around the mound
- 39:00One out top of the order, Busetti at bat with Upshaw due to batting eggs
- 39:07Stretch by Friesleben and the three one pitch, Busetti line drive, left field solid hit, windage score from McKay

- 39:23the scoreboard's running to the mound and they're calling to the bullpen for a left hander
- 39:31Don Hood running down out of the Indian dugout
- 39:36Don Hood is going to be up and throwing
- 39:42That is Busetti's 23rd RBI of the year
- 39:56First run and third hit off Friesleben
- 40:03Left fielder number 26, Willie Upshaw, Willie Upshaw bounce to the second baseman in the first inning
- 40:13Look for the sign by Friesleben, two on against him and one out, pitch to Upshaw, low ball one
- 40:31A stretch, Friesleben checks the runner at second, one oh pitch, curve ball high, ball two, two and oh
- 40:42Looks like Dave's just having trouble with that breaking pitch, he can't get that curve ball down, just can't really get through it
- 40:57the pitch hit hard, Thornton backhands the ball, going to go out to second base for the play at second
- 41:04On Busetti, over to third base goes Johnson, nice play by Andy Thornton, definitely, good play

- 47:45Herb with that yellow line running in front of the dugout is that one of those safety lines?
- 47:50I think that if you I think as I'm sure the ground rules that he can't run in there and catch the ball
- 47:56He has to remain outside that line he can lean over it
- 48:00Can't go in there
- 48:02There's no dugout here per se it's a shelter but it's not dug down
- 48:07Fastball up too high of all one

- 50:52Dave Friesleven making his second start for the Indians
- 50:56Right hander winds it up and he throws
- 50:59Fast ball over the inside part of the plate waist high strike
- 51:09Wind up and the pitch
- 51:12Ground ball shortstop side, LaVelle has it
- 51:15Takes a couple of steps, fires across and Rico is retired
- 51:186-3 on the out, one man down fourth inning
- 51:24Big John Mayberry flying to center field his first time up
- 51:28He's a pinch hitter in the ninth inning with two men out, two men on for the Blue Jays
- 51:32Kern came on the pitch and he's flying out the center
- 51:35Actually it's a left center court by Johnny Grubbs
- 51:38Buddy Bell goes to mound, he's going to have a little chat with Dave Friesleven
- 51:43They put the infield shift on, it's almost an outfield shift because the shortstop and second baseman are both in the outfield and both on the right side
- 51:52It would appear all things going well, the Indians will be home between 9.45 and 10 o'clock tonight
- 51:59Friesleven starts his wind up then stops as it flips on the pitching rubber
- 52:05Indian traveling kicker Mike Stig, he just came back to tell us that
- 52:09Indian shot apply, he won't arrive until 8.30 so he thinks the earliest they can leave is 9 o'clock
- 52:13That means he'll get home by 9.50
- 52:15There's a strike at the knees, strike one
- 52:23Time call, Jeff Torbog asking umpire Phillips for permission to go out and see Friesleven
- 52:30He may have twisted his foot when he stopped that wind up a while ago, got a caught on the front part of the pitching rubber
- 52:37So Jeff Torbog talking with him and also Dave Phillips there to see what's going on
- 52:44Count on Mayberry to strike one
- 52:55Umpire Phillips also talking with Friesleven
- 53:00And while we wait for that conference to break up, let's pause for station identification
- 53:04This is the Cleveland Indian Baseball Network
- 53:07This is 3WJ, central Ohio home and the Cleveland Cavaliers flams an Indian
- 53:15WWWJ Johnstown
- 53:18Friesleven ready to go, he says his foot is alright
- 53:21One strike, wind up and the pitch
- 53:25Curve ball breaks down too low, ball one and a strike
- 53:29Friesleven doesn't like the ball he gets, he wants another one
- 53:40On deck is Tommy Hutton
- 53:45Friesleven has given up three hits in a run, they all came in that third inning
- 53:50Indians against Jesse Jefferson, they've had just one hit
- 53:53Ground ball sharply hits the right side in the center fielder base hit
- 53:57Well you know he hit it hard because they had Blanks, Thornton and Kiper all on the right side
- 54:03And both Blanks and Kiper were about 15 feet into what would be the outfield
- 54:09And either one of them could get to it and drove in between them
- 54:13Mayberry gets to hit the fourth for Toronto, here's Tommy Hutton
- 54:19Tommy pops up to the third baseman is all he's got left hand battered, did not play in the first game
- 54:26Outfield is playing them straight away
- 54:33Friesleven checks the right throws, fast ball is a bit outside
- 54:38Ball one, Friesleven looking in, he thought he might have had a strike
- 54:43Dave McKay is on deck
- 54:50the pitch, glider over the outside, thought he'd hit the strike, one on one
- 55:03On deck, McKay he's got three of those lead donuts up on the barrel of the bat
- 55:12One ball and a strike, down two low, two balls and a strike
- 55:27Ball two one strike, Tommy Hutton slightly closed stance, he's pretty well spread out
- 55:34Mayberry at first, Thornton not holding against him
- 55:39There he goes, pitch to the pitch out, throw to second base and there you have him
- 55:44Tag applied by Larville Blanks and on the pitch the batter Hutton threw the bat at the ball
- 55:52the pitch out, he had no way to reach the ball so he just flipped the bat at it and that'll be a strike
- 55:58Two six on the court stealing, two men down on the fourth inning
- 56:03And Tommy Hutton with a count of two balls, two strikes
- 56:09He had the hit and run on and the Indians figured that one out perfectly
- 56:15Curve ball breaks inside, three and two
- 56:20Say the Indians guessed right on that but it's an educated guess because what they do, they really try to pick up the opposing team's signs and sometimes they get them
- 56:28Fast ball missed outside, ball four, Hutton takes the walk, two men out
- 56:33First walk in the game allowed by Fraz Levin and here's the second baseman Dave McKay
- 56:44We've got a week from today is that day at the stadium
- 56:47Very fine little league out of Rondak-Fats will be giving away to all Indian young kids
- 56:54Indian fans 14 under coming into the stadium that day with the exception of those that come through the bleachers
- 57:00Final ball cuts the left out of play
- 57:04Sundays bat day game time 2.05
- 57:14Red Sox currently leading Milwaukee by seven games in the Eastern Division
- 57:19They're walking in second place, New York and Baltimore follow
- 57:27One strike pitch, a pitch out and they have him trapped between second and first and second throw and he is out
- 57:33the funny thing about that, he was not going on the pitch, it was a delayed steal
- 57:37And Hutton took about three steps and stopped about, oh I'd say 15 feet off the bag at first and he just let it out, go anyway
- 57:47And Gary Alexander fired down the second base and they apply the tag
- 57:53Laudel Blank tags him out and so Gary Alexander nailed two base runners in the fourth inning
- 58:01Boudre's no runs, on a hit, no errors and nobody left and the four score, Toronto one, Cleveland nothing
- 58:10Whoa, get around folks, get around
- 58:17Like Messine says, it's Trader John's Traveling Emporium, the general store on wheels

- 59:27First 4 innings total for the Blue Jays, a run on 4 hits, they have played errorless ball, they've left 2 men on base
- 59:34the Indians no runs on 1 hit, and they've left 2 and have played errorless ball
- 59:38Bernie Carbo, Buddy Bell and Dwayne Kipe are coming along against Jesse Jefferson
- 59:44He picks up that stack of rosin, gives it a working over, drops it down
- 59:50Carbo walked his only time up
- 59:52271 batting average, left hand batter, big slow curve, stays high, ball 1
- 59:58Jefferson goes to the wind up, fast ball is outside and high 2 and 0
- 1:00:15Right to left center field, that's going to go for base hit, over to cover off his upshot, gets by him all the way to the wall
- 1:00:28In the second base goes Bernie Carbo, his second double of the afternoon, he had one in the first game
- 1:00:33Fully upshot, tried to cut the ball off and it took a bounce right by him
- 1:00:38Well the Indians were the runner at second, nobody out in the fifth inning, their second hit of the game
- 1:00:44And the batter, Buddy Bell, Buddy wrapped the ground, I beg your pardon, it is Buddy
- 1:00:50Buddy wrapped the ground ball to the third baseman, first time up
- 1:00:54In the first game, Buddy had a base hit 4 times, Buddy playing his first games in a week
- 1:01:00He hasn't played since last Sunday, had some spazzums in his back
- 1:01:06Jefferson toes, the curve is high and inside the ball
- 1:01:19Jesse Jefferson, gives a look to the runner at second, fast ball inside, 2 and 0
- 1:01:28Indians trail 1 to nothing, but they are threatening
- 1:01:39Jefferson checks and throws, inside, way inside, 3 and 0
- 1:01:45Dwayne Kipe is on deck, he had a base hit his first time up
- 1:01:513 balls, no strikes, Jefferson backs off
- 1:02:05Good crowd on hand here in Toronto this afternoon, Blue Jays have drawn very well
- 1:02:11Fast ball right through the middle, you cannot expect any better weather than we've had this weekend
- 1:02:17Wherever you are, we hope it's been a pleasant weekend, if you're traveling, drive carefully
- 1:02:26the pitch, inside, corner strike, 3 and 2
- 1:02:32Cincinnati Reds have looked at the Dodgers in the fifth inning, the Dodgers scored 3 times, they take the lead
- 1:02:395 to 3 over Cincinnati, they had a rain delay of what, John, an hour and something?
- 1:02:4456 minutes, line drive, center field, coming on, Besetti reaches, and he makes the catch
- 1:02:50That young man has made a couple of really good catches today, that time he went to his knees and grabbed it
- 1:02:58Making line drive, and center field caught by Besetti, holding his second as carbo
- 1:03:04And now it's Dwayne Kipe, Kipe had a base hit the left field his first time up
- 1:03:09Dwayne's batting average up to 262
- 1:03:17the second baseman, number 18, Dwayne Kipe, has now hit safely in 15 of his last 17 games
- 1:03:24Bert Campaneras just was ejected at California for fighting with Ken Brett in the second inning
- 1:03:31Looping foul, back out of play
- 1:03:42Mr. Spicioneras and Mr. Brett came a little close to Bert
- 1:03:49Strike one
- 1:03:52the pitch, curve too low
- 1:03:59Ball one, a strike, he probably should have come a little closer to Richie Zist because Zist just hit his 13th home run
- 1:04:07One ball, one strike, maybe that's when he came close to Campaneras after the home run
- 1:04:14One ball, one strike, and the pitch, up too high, two balls and a strike
- 1:04:30Jesse Jefferson and the Blue Jays leading 1-0, one out in the fifth inning, the Indians with a runner at second
- 1:04:372-1 to Kiper, ground ball foul, third base tie, that one skipped right over the top of the dugout, in fact it wasn't a ground ball
- 1:04:44That thing was a line drive, hit the top of the dugout, skipped back in the seats, well I would hate to be in front of that one
- 1:04:51Well a young lady was and she has been hurt
- 1:04:56Two balls, two strikes, Bernie Cabo on at second, he doubles, Buddy Bell lined to center, now it's up to Kiper
- 1:05:11Lauderville blanks on deck, Jefferson throws up high with a fastball, it's 3-2
- 1:05:26Apparently the young lady that was hit is okay, three balls, two strikes
- 1:05:39Ground ball, third base tie foul, takes a skip and goes off the front of the dugout, count remains, ball three, strike two
- 1:05:56Jesse Jefferson back to that rosin bag, gives it a going over, Jefferson looking at his record this year, he has made 14 previous starts in her 0-5 complete games
- 1:06:10He leads the Blue Jays in the complete game department, 3-2 pitch, line drive, left field coming on his up shore, reaches down, dives and gets the ball
- 1:06:22They're going to double him up, Willie Upshaw who is not exactly the classic style outfielder, just made a whale of a play, a diving grab right off the top of the artificial turf
- 1:06:34Cabo was the third base and had no chance of getting back
- 1:06:38So a line drive to left and a double a Cabo, 7-4, he's in the fifth inning, hits the ball hard enough to get a run but they don't, no run, one hit, no errors and nobody left
- 1:06:52Middle of five to score, the Cleveland Indians stuffing the Toronto Blue Jays 1
- 1:06:58This is Dave Smith, the first news board on Broad Street, we're halfway between Columbus and Newark, we sell news boards, we will save you money, in fact we have a little statement we make

- 1:07:27Jamal Wilkins of the Los Angeles Lakers talks about what it would mean to be a father
- 1:07:36I think that would be my response to the way people talk about things, you have to do things, you have to think about a child
- 1:07:43If the child is here, it's your child, if he's not around, I would just say be very careful about what you do when you do a move
- 1:07:50Tell him that it is not a game, don't play around with it, unless it's in a less political service
- 1:07:58Now we go into the bottom half of the fifth inning
- 1:08:14Microphones are fine, that's it, it'll survive anything
- 1:08:18Indians trail one to nothing
- 1:08:22Dave McKay, Al Ashby, and the second baseman, Tim Johnson, to face right-handed Dave Fryleven
- 1:08:31Dave has pitched very effectively at one inning, in which he gave up a run on three hits, and he's only given up one other hit
- 1:08:39First pitch to the left-handed, McKay is up high, ball one, McKay has switched batting left-handed
- 1:08:45He bounced the single through the right side, and he was the man that scored the only run in this game back in the third inning
- 1:08:53Fast ball high, Indians won the open at two to nothing behind Rick Waits
- 1:08:58Last inning relief by Jim Kern, picked him up a save
- 1:09:04Ball two, no strikes on the left-hand hitter
- 1:09:10Wind up the pitch, swing and a miss, fast ball down around the knees
- 1:09:23Two-one pitch, foul back over the screen, two and two
- 1:09:34That first game, home run by Gary Alexander in the second inning, provided the margin of difference
- 1:09:42Indians pick up a run in the second inning, a run in the third, and Rick Waits made it stand up
- 1:09:48Two balls, two strikes, Frye's-Levin throws, inside and high, good fast ball by the right-hander, bring it to
- 1:10:02Frye's-Levin is ready, three-two pitch, high, fireball, left field, Grubb coming on, blanks and Bell going out
- 1:10:09Grubb says, I'll take it, and he does, just inside fair territory
- 1:10:15One up, one down, fifth inning, batting now will be Al Ashby
- 1:10:20Ashby has fouled out to the catch, he tried to bun McKay over, and on the sacrifice attempt, foul the ball back at the plate
- 1:10:29Gary Alexander grabs it, Al on the switch hit a batting left-handed
- 1:10:36Al is at two home runs, seven RBIs, swinging a foul back, strike one, his batting average stands at two-oh-nine
- 1:10:45Let's see what he's done from the left side, two-ten, right side, two-twenty-two
- 1:10:54Curve, inside and low, one ball, one strike, outfield straight away for him
- 1:11:03Kuyper back about fifteen feet into the outfield, fast ball is low again, two balls and a strike
- 1:11:19Wind up, and the pitch, swing and a miss, time to change up, two-and-two
- 1:11:27Ashby way out in front, he was just completely fooled
- 1:11:32One man out, fifth inning, Blue Jays lead one-nothing
- 1:11:41Wind up, ground ball sharply hit toward the second baseman, Kuyper, picks her up, throws and gets up
- 1:11:49Two up, two down, fifth inning
- 1:11:52And now Tim Johnson will ramp the base hit to Southfield his first time up
- 1:11:56McKay running on the pitch, legs it around the third, and then he's caught and he's hit the left
- 1:12:08Timmy Johnson, he originally started in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization
- 1:12:20Curve and it drops below the strike zone, ball on
- 1:12:25Yankees won the first game with their double header, three to two
- 1:12:29Came up with two runs of tight, late in the game then won it, and run on the eighth inning
- 1:12:34Goodley is now 13-0, inside and high, two balls, no strikes
- 1:12:41Johnson left hand batter
- 1:12:46Yankees lead their second game, three to one at the end of two and a half, bouncy ball right side
- 1:12:51Thornton comes on, grabs, runs to the bag, gets there
- 1:12:54One, two, three they go in the fifth inning, nothing across
- 1:12:58And the prizeland is pitched very, very well
- 1:13:02Runs, no hits, no errors, done left, end of five innings in the second game
- 1:13:06It's the Toronto Blue Jays one, the Cleveland Indians nothing

- 1:14:16We go now into the sixth inning, the Indians have some work to do, they trail 1-0
- 1:14:21They will have the ninth man in the batting, little Law-Vell blanks in the top of the order
- 1:14:26Jim Norris and Rick Manning to face Jesse Jefferson, Jefferson has been stingy in the hit department
- 1:14:31Indians have had only two hits off them, a single by Kiper in the third
- 1:14:37And a double by Cabo last inning, the fifth
- 1:14:43Law-Vell tried to sacrifice his first time up and was successful
- 1:14:47So officially he has not been to the plate, a fast ball missed outside in all ball one
- 1:14:59Wind up, right hand at toes, fouled off to the right, sailing deep into the seats well back of the Indian dugout
- 1:15:07One ball and a strike, Jefferson delivers
- 1:15:19Long drive, left center field, pretty well hit, chasing back up short, the wall, hits, gone, a home run
- 1:15:25Law-Vell blanks, it's his first home run of the year and the Indians have tied this game in the sixth at one
- 1:15:32Law-Vell blanks, getting number one, his 13th out of the eye
- 1:15:39And we have a brand new game, one to one, sixth inning
- 1:15:44Here's Jim Norris, he's 0-2 in the game
- 1:15:49Fly at the center, called on a strike
- 1:15:54Jim Norris batting at 2.58
- 1:15:58Jesse Jefferson winds it up, fast ball, buzzed over but out, but high
- 1:16:05One ball, no strikes, Jefferson thought he might have had a strike
- 1:16:09That home run on Jesse Jefferson, the 17th that he's allowed
- 1:16:14That is ball two, outside and high
- 1:16:18Jefferson leads the staff of the Blue Jays in the Serenian home runs at 17
- 1:16:2479th home run they've allowed, high, pop, foul, out of play
- 1:16:29Strike one, make it 80 home runs because the Indians had one in the first, Gary Alexander
- 1:16:34One in the first game
- 1:16:42Mike Vail is down by the home runner for the Cubs with two men on his side
- 1:16:46That makes the score
- 1:16:49Billy's lead the Cubs 6-3 in that game, in the seventh inning now
- 1:16:56Two balls and a strike
- 1:16:58Line drive, left field, Willie Upshaw going back at the warning pass, he reaches up and he grabs it
- 1:17:05Jim Norris bidding for a base hit or extra base hit
- 1:17:10And gets ordered by the glove of Willie Upshaw
- 1:17:15Willie Upshaw does not look like a fellow when he goes after the ball but is entirely sure exactly which way he's going to run
- 1:17:21And where that ball's going but he gets the job done
- 1:17:25Here's Rick Manning, he's 0 for 2
- 1:17:29I'm sure made a diving, sliding catch last inning
- 1:17:33Turns into a double play
- 1:17:35Change up, bounce to the first base side foul over the Iraqi Calabito in the coaching box
- 1:17:39Rocky's been down, picks it up
- 1:17:43Strike one
- 1:17:481-1 the score of this game, the Indians with three hits and the Blue Jays with four
- 1:17:55Sixth inning, Indians took the opening game 2-0
- 1:17:59Line drive, right field, coming on is Hutton, he reaches out and grabs it
- 1:18:05See it's tapping the ball right on the nose in this inning
- 1:18:09One home run and two line drives
- 1:18:12Two minute down and here's Johnny Grubb
- 1:18:15Foul out to the catcher, ground out to the second baseman for John
- 1:18:22Time call, Johnny not quite set in the batting box and he asks for time and gets it
- 1:18:31Curve ball hit high in the air, shallow center field, out goes the shortstop Johnson
- 1:18:36On comes Willie Upshaw and on comes the city, Upshaw takes it
- 1:18:41One run for the Indians on La Ville Blanks, first home run of the year
- 1:18:45One hit and the wearer is done left, middle of sixth, second game for the double header
- 1:18:49Blue Jays won, Indians won
- 1:18:52Get into the swing of things at Broadview Golf Course at Rouse 310 and 16 in Petascola

- 1:19:19Broadview Golf Course at Rouse 310 and 16 in Petascola, a challenging nine hole golf course
- 1:19:27Only the ricks can afford to buy elsewhere
- 1:19:30That's a little slogan that I was made up, this is very smart as very smart afford
- 1:19:35Only the ricks can afford to buy elsewhere because we will save you money on a new Ford, car or truck
- 1:19:41We have a very fine selection of new cars also at this time
- 1:19:45You need more used cars so if you do have a used car or a specially used truck you want to trade
- 1:19:51Turn around over to us because we do need them both next door and also between Columbus and George
- 1:19:57Next time it's a fresh fitting for the Blue Jays
- 1:20:01We will see the top of the batting order, Rick Bacetti, Willie Upshaw and then third baseman Roy Howell
- 1:20:08the Indians and the Blue Jays are tied at one
- 1:20:17Rick Bacetti has flying to right
- 1:20:20He has single that came in the third inning and drove in the only Blue Jays run of the game
- 1:20:24the only Blue Jays run of the day, Indians won the opener 2-0
- 1:20:28the Marlite, birds in town or the other birds I should think of the Blue Jays
- 1:20:34Also in the league now the former Orioles fly into town, they take on the Indians
- 1:20:40Marlite, 7.35 at the stadium, ball one outside
- 1:20:44Rise, lay, and then throws, foul ball down the right side out of play, one ball and a strike
- 1:20:50We'll give you a run down on the scoreboard here in a moment
- 1:20:58Strike one, ball one, Dave Friesleben winds, he delivers, curve ball, flips it below the strike zone
- 1:21:08American League, Yankees beat the Tags in the first game 3-2, Yankees lead the second game 3-1, they play 2-1
- 1:21:17Indians can win this one, Tigers lose, Indians can move up a notch, right?
- 1:21:24They could
- 1:21:26They'd be tied, each a 37-40
- 1:21:29Next pitch is inside and low, three balls and a strike
- 1:21:33Friesleben winds and he throws, high pop, third base side out of play, full count 3-2
- 1:21:40Boston and Baltimore postponed by rain, Kansas City playing at Oakland, bottom half of the seventh inning, Oakland leads 1-0, that's the first of a doubleheader
- 1:21:50Texas leading California 2-0, they've gone into the bottom half of the third at Anaheim
- 1:21:563-2 pitch, poppy ball, pass them on, near second base, is blank, picks it up, throws and gets them at first
- 1:22:03Good play
- 1:22:07Good play by LaVell, he had a tough chance because seeing Kuypoor crossing behind second base and it appears the ball might have even hit second base as it went by
- 1:22:18LaVell blanks, throws out Rick Bissetti on a bang bang play, 6-3 on the out of third
- 1:22:23Here's Willie Upshaw and in the bullpen, Sid Meijer is going for the Indians
- 1:22:29Friesleben has not pitched that much and so from here on out I would think that Sauborg will watch him very very closely for signs of his hiring
- 1:22:39He has pitched really well, giving up one run on four hits, a run on three hits in one inning
- 1:22:48A curve ball, 2-0 ball on, Willie looked like he might bun it, didn't offer
- 1:22:55Milwaukee playing in Seattle, Milwaukee 1, Seattle nothing, that's the end of two
- 1:23:01Wind up and the pitch, down too low, 2-0
- 1:23:05National League, the Phillies lead the Chicago Cubs at least 6-3
- 1:23:15Cubs are still batting high, Powell drifting off to the left, another bail, hit a home run in the seventh inning with two on
- 1:23:22But they never did send us what the Phillies had done in the seventh, so the Phillies have six and we know that the Cubs have three
- 1:23:312-1 pitch, just a bit low over the outside corner, 3-1
- 1:23:39First game, the Cuddles beat the Expos 5-0
- 1:23:45Down low, ball four, the Upshaw draws the walk, that is the second walk and here comes a walk by the manager
- 1:23:52Jeff Sauborg walking for the mound
- 1:23:57Second walk off, he hasn't struck anybody out, he's giving up his four hits
- 1:24:02Jeff walking very slowly, mind he's throwing in the bullpen for the try
- 1:24:07Left hand banner, Powell is ready in the bullpen, they're waving to the bullpen
- 1:24:12So Powell, the left hand banner, will look at the left hand of Sid Mongey who comes chugging in from the bullpen
- 1:24:18And for Dave Friesleben, he has pitched very very well here this afternoon, five in the third inning
- 1:24:26He has given up just one run on four hits, he walked two, struck nobody out, and Sid Mongey comes in
- 1:24:33We'll be back to tell you about Sid after we have this time out
- 1:24:37Stand by engine room
- 1:24:42Stand by engine room, I take you in gangway, single up all lines
- 1:24:46I take you in gangway, single up all lines
- 1:24:49Slowest turn
- 1:24:51Slowest turn, Captain
- 1:24:52Let's take over, make sure to get on down with it
- 1:24:54Aye, Captain, I'd like to try some of my mail pouch tobacco, Captain
- 1:24:58Came aboard with a mail at Wheeling
- 1:25:00Oh, don't mind if I do
- 1:25:01the story of a great American tradition, mail pouch killing tobacco
- 1:25:05Mail pouch was one of the first brands of leaf tobacco, and it's been pleasing men ever since
- 1:25:10That's because mail pouch has its own special one-of-a-kind flavor
- 1:25:14It comes from a fundamentalist experience in giving tobacco chewers what they want
- 1:25:19A clean, fresh taste that's not too strong, but isn't too sweet
- 1:25:23A flavor that really lasts and satisfies a man all day long
- 1:25:27So if you haven't tried mail pouch lately, cue a few facts and taste the mail pouch difference
- 1:25:33You'll see why it's become a tradition to pitch your mail pouch and treat yourself to the best
- 1:25:42Left-hander Sid Manji coming into the ball game
- 1:25:45This is his 18th appearance of the year, that includes a couple of starts
- 1:25:49He has won two, lost one with three saves
- 1:25:52He took a pounding yesterday after a series of excellent relief appearances
- 1:25:57And his earned run average is now 3.10
- 1:26:01And he'll face Roy Howell, he's 0-2 in the game, runner at first
- 1:26:05One man down, six-fitting, game is tied at one
- 1:26:09Manji out of the set position, up-shore lead at first, the pitch, swing and a miss, strike one
- 1:26:16Tore Boy game after the game yesterday told Sid that it can't be perfect every day
- 1:26:22And see what happened yesterday off, and just go back to pitching the way nice and relaxed
- 1:26:29Strike one, swing and a miss, strike two, good fastball at the letters
- 1:26:41On deck is Rico Cardi, one-to-one the score of this game, we are in inning number six
- 1:26:47Indians took the open and two to nothing
- 1:26:49Purple, line to left field, coming over Scrupp, can't get to it, it's a fair ball inside the line
- 1:26:54Rolling down the corner, around third, coming around the scores up-shore, hit the score, it'll not be entirely determined
- 1:27:01It's a fair ball
- 1:27:03A two-strike curveball and Howell leads at the left field, the opposite field, just inside the line
- 1:27:11So Howell gets a double, and the Blue Jays get to go ahead and run, two to one, Blue Jays lead it
- 1:27:19That run is charged to Dave Prysley, so statistically he's out of the game
- 1:27:29Prysley is charged with two runs on four hits, walk two
- 1:27:33Jeff Tore Boy is coming out to argue, I know what he's arguing about, even though I could not see the play
- 1:27:39Because down that left field corner, the fans come out and we can lose sight of it
- 1:27:43But the bullpen benches are down there, and I have a feeling that when Grub went into the corner
- 1:27:48the ball was down around that bench somewhere, because I saw several of the leaf pitchers in the bullpen
- 1:27:53Jump up and get out of the way, I think what Jeff is saying is that it should be a ground-world double
- 1:27:58And that the runner should be sent back to third
- 1:28:01I'm thinking it was on the third base side, as conferred with Jeff
- 1:28:07And I think it's going to stand as just a double with a run score
- 1:28:11So the Blue Jays go on top, two to one
- 1:28:22Rico Cardi is Rico Cardi
- 1:28:30One man out at second base, Rory Howell
- 1:28:34Let's give Howell some credit, two strikes on him and the curveball breaking down and away, he had been up a little bit high
- 1:28:41But it wasn't a bad curveball, and he ripped at the left field, they're going to put Cardi on
- 1:28:47So a walk Cardi, and face the left hand batting John Mayberry
- 1:28:54the horse walks, charged to Mangy
- 1:28:57And this one of course, will be intentional by it
- 1:29:09Mayberry comes to home plate, and in the bullpen, Indians have Dan Spiller up and throwing
- 1:29:17John Mayberry
- 1:29:27One is at first and at second, six thinning
- 1:29:31Blue Jays lead it to the line, coming on, one man out
- 1:29:35Alexander stands up behind home plate, shots something out through his in-field
- 1:29:52Mangy, in the set position, backs off
- 1:29:59Dan Spiller throwing in the bullpen
- 1:30:02Side on pitch, bounce to the first baseman, over to second one out, shortstop throws back to first and a double play
- 1:30:09Mangy, fits up the mound and takes the throw at first
- 1:30:13Good play all the way around, three, six, one on the double play
- 1:30:19And in the inning a run for the Blue Jays, could have been a lot worse on one base hit
- 1:30:25No errors, and one man left, at the end of sixth the score
- 1:30:32the three of an Indians won, the Toronto Blue Jays two
- 1:30:36A continuation at the beginning of side three, cassette number two
- 1:30:55the Blue Jays lead it to the line, coming on, one man out
- 1:31:04the Blue Jays lead it to the line, coming on, one man out
- 1:31:11the Blue Jays lead it to the line, coming on, one man out
- 1:31:42the Blue Jays lead it to the line, coming on, one man out
- 1:31:48I'm glad you stopped there.
- 1:31:50I wish to test the power of your will, but...
- 1:31:52I wish to fly on the tail of the car, sir.
- 1:31:56Listen, Mr. Cowley, you're a...
- 1:31:58I have a new stop there.
- 1:31:59I'm gonna give you all of my salary, please.
- 1:32:02You're gonna be able to open up the place, sir.

- 2:02:45Kansas City just hit Oakland with four runs in the eighth inning to take a 4-1 lead.
- 2:02:49But Page has come back with a home run for the A's so it's 4-2 and the A's are still batting.
- 2:02:54Pitch is low to Big John Mayberry, ball one to Kerr.
- 2:03:05Mayberry pinch hit on the ninth inning of the first game, flag to left fielder John Grubb to end it, give Kern a save and waits his sixth win.
- 2:03:142-0 pitch to the pitch, Mayberry lays off another breaking ball, this one is low and the count is 2-0.
- 2:03:28Dan Spilner, howled at first base, one out, 2-0 pitch to Mayberry, strike to the knees, fastball 2-1.

- 2:03:492-1 the count. the stretch, the pitch, Mayberry takes strike two.
- 2:03:59Now he's really unhappy, two balls, two strikes.
- 2:04:05He thought the previous pitch was low, he thought that one was obviously high.
- 2:04:11As he conducts a little conversation with Dave Phillips, and the count is even at 2-2.
- 2:04:17the stretch, the pitch, Mayberry chops a foul over toward the first base dugout.

- 2:04:57Bob Baylor will be the batter, Baylor fouled off to the first baseman of the seventh inning,
- 2:05:03and now Jeff Torborg is jogging out to the mound to talk with Spilner and Gary Alexander.
- 2:05:16the conversation is brief, and Jeff turns around and trots back into the dugout.
- 2:05:24Last half of the eighth inning, Toronto leading 3-1.
- 2:05:31Bob Baylor, an open right hand stance, Bob is 5-14 in the series.

- 2:06:44A stretch, Spillner looks back to Howell, pitch to Baylor, jammed him with a fast ball,
- 2:06:50Baylor started to stride into the pitch and had to bail out quickly.
- 2:06:54High and tight offering, full count of 3-2.
- 2:07:03Spillner set again.
- 2:07:06Here's the 3-2 pitched about Baylor, bounces into home plate, bounces away from Alexander,
- 2:07:11Howell goes to third and Baylor is walked.
- 2:07:18Harry Alexander had to run down that wild pitch all the way over to the Toronto on deck circle.
- 2:07:31Oh, we have another walk for the Indian staff in this second game, a total of six-two over them by Spillner,
- 2:07:37and he has runners at first and third to contend with with two outs, and Dave McKay of the batter.
- 2:07:42McKay is back to swinging lefty against the right-hander Spillner.
- 2:07:47McKay having a good second game, he's 2-3, first two hits of the series.
- 2:07:56That's an average of 257, stretch of the pitch, takes a fast ball inside, almost whips him, ball one.
- 2:08:11All in half of the eighth inning, 3-1 Toronto leads.
- 2:08:16Indians won the first game, 2-0, pitch out, nobody going, the count is 2-0.
- 2:08:25the stretch, the pitch, fast ball low again, ball three, 3-0.
- 2:08:42A bad one would load him up for Al Ashby.
- 2:08:50the Indians bullpen is quiet, so it is Spillner's task to get out of this 3-0 pitch.
- 2:08:55McKay takes a strike of an ace, 3-1, ball pops out of the glove of Alexander about four feet to the right of home plate.
- 2:09:00He grabs it, and now he wants another glove.
- 2:09:04They have torn out the webbing in that one.
- 2:09:07So Alexander heads for the dugout to secure another catcher's mitt, and Spillner kicks the dirt out of the mound.

- 2:09:33the Reds 7-6 over the Dodgers.
- 2:09:36Houston trailing San Diego 3-2 in the eighth, although Turner is now homered, so that will make it at least 4-2 in the eighth inning.
- 2:09:44Yankees beat the Tigers in the American League 3-2 in the first game, Gittries now 13-0.
- 2:09:49And it's Yankees 3-2 over the Tigers in the second game in the seventh.

- 2:10:21And we're going to the ninth, the Indians with their final shot at the Blue Jays in this series.

- 2:10:47Came in the mail pouch.
- 2:10:49the men who want to share line up at the caboose.
- 2:10:51You others, get these barrels of spice off the flat car.
- 2:10:55the story of a great American tradition, mail pouch chewing tobacco.
- 2:10:59Mail pouch was America's first brand of leaf tobacco, and it's been pleasing men ever since.
- 2:11:04That's because mail pouch has its own special one-of-a-kind flavor that comes from over 90 years' experience in giving tobacco chewers what they want.
- 2:11:13A clean, fresh taste that's not too strong, but isn't too sweet either.
- 2:11:17A flavor that really lasts and satisfies a man all day long.
- 2:11:21So if you haven't tried mail pouch lately, chew a few packs and taste the mail pouch difference.
- 2:11:27You'll see why it's become a tradition to chew mail pouch and treat yourself to the best.

- 2:12:23the ninth inning, the Indians with one more shot at the Blue Jays.
- 2:12:31Dave Phillips going out toward the mound to look the baseball over and makes a little change with Jesse Jefferson.
- 2:12:39Powell comes inside the bag at third, looking for the punt.
- 2:12:46Manning is 3-4-15 in this series.
- 2:12:49This is his last shot to extend an eight-game hitting streak.
- 2:12:57Wind up on the pitch to Rick. He takes a strike. Knee high on the inside corner, strike one.

- 2:14:24a little bit of a putty on for the Indians on the ninth, and Gary Alexander gets the last shot at Jefferson.
- 2:14:35Gary hits the home run that turned out to be the game winner in the opener, his 16th of the year.
- 2:14:40That was four trips, and in this nightcap he's struck out twice and bounced to the first baseman.
- 2:14:51Pitch, Alexander takes a fastball high, ball one.
- 2:14:56Gaylord Perry goes the route again and wins his ninth.
- 2:14:59How about that? 6-2 at Houston for the Padres.

- 2:17:20Well, 101 pitches was all Jesse Jefferson needed today.
- 2:17:26He goes the route for the sixth time. He's now six and seven.

- 2:17:37He walked three, and he fanned four, including Gary Alexander, three times.
- 2:17:44As I say, his record is now six and seven. He's one and one this year against the Indians, and lifetime, two and five against the Tribe.
- 2:17:52the starter and loser, Dave Friesleben, who is now a Zippin' Tube at Friesleben,
- 2:17:57fits certainly much more creditably today than in his first experience for the Indians.
- 2:18:03And let's give you hope that Dave is getting his act together.
- 2:18:07He gave up four hits, two runs, although he wasn't around on the second one scored.

- 2:18:50and the Blue Jays promptly untighted with one out, upshaw walk, and that was all for Friesleben.
- 2:18:57Manji came on and Howell drilled a double down the left field line, scoring the go-ahead run, making it two to one.
- 2:19:03Blue Jays added another run in the seventh inning of play on a double by McKay, a walk to Ashby,
- 2:19:09and a pinch hit double by Otto Velez off the wall, then left, making it three to one.
- 2:19:14the Indians were stymied in the second game by hitting into three double plays.
- 2:19:19So the Indians, with a split on the day and a split on the series, drive now at 36 and 41 for the year.
- 2:19:29There was a pinch hit double by Otto Velez off the wall, then left, making it three to one.

- 2:20:11They could finish up just a game behind Detroit if the Tigers should lose that second game in New York,

- 2:22:32Tomorrow night, schedule Dennis Martinez for Baltimore and Mike Paxton for the Indians.
- 2:22:37However, with the rain out of Boston and Baltimore today, the pitching plans of Baltimore may be changed.

- 2:27:59Is brought to you after every Cleveland Indians baseball game here on 3WJ.
- 2:28:05the tenth inning and Cleveland Indians baseball are a part of 3WJ's total sports presentation.
- 2:28:12There's been a lot of post game shows on both ends of it now and that's early winner.
- 2:28:16the winner of course is a great pitcher with the Indians.
- 2:28:18And now a broadcaster with Toronto Blue Jays early is in the Hall of Fame.
- 2:28:21And I thought maybe we'd chat about some of the differences in baseball and particularly in pitching.
- 2:28:25I know that you fellows are going through a period with a lot of young pitchers and I think you can see the development of the young pitchers.
- 2:28:31And they seem to be coming along a little earlier now.
- 2:28:34Well Herb, you know with spring training you kind of get confused.
- 2:28:37First I want to thank you for all three of those compliments for being a great ball player and in the Hall of Fame.
- 2:28:41And especially being a broadcaster.
- 2:28:43You know that's something I haven't been accused of yet.
- 2:28:46Spring training was really something else.
- 2:28:49Underwood you saw him pitch last night.
- 2:28:52You can't believe how bad he looked in spring training because he couldn't get the ball over the plate.
- 2:28:57They had bunt a ball to him on the mound.
- 2:29:01He would grab it and throw it into the outfield.
- 2:29:03He tried to pick a runner off.
- 2:29:05He threw the ball into the outfield with a bullpen.
- 2:29:08And then as soon as the season started all at once he brought them out.
- 2:29:12Now LeMansic, he looked fantastic in spring training.
- 2:29:15And when the season started he couldn't do anything.
- 2:29:18He just won his second ball game the other day after losing nine.
- 2:29:21So you can't believe the difference in the two guys.
- 2:29:25the real turnaround last year LeMansic was the backbone of the pitching staff.
- 2:29:32And of course Garvin, he looks good if he's got control.
- 2:29:36He's not a blazing fastball pitcher.
- 2:29:39But when he's got control he is very tough.
- 2:29:42What about Yan Yan Clancy?
- 2:29:44Clancy, he has to have a little bit of control too because when he throws a ball hard he's dangerous.
- 2:29:49And his ball moves and lately he has just, the first part of this year he started working on a change of pace.
- 2:29:57And his curve ball, and his curve ball is coming on at a change of pace.
- 2:30:01And when he's got control of his fastball he is really tough because he throws, I guess harder than anybody on the ball club, he throws harder than underwood.
- 2:30:09What about pitching? You know you were a kind of fellow, you worked hard at pitching.
- 2:30:12You had a good fastball but you had all the other pitches to go along with.
- 2:30:15And I recall talking with you when I was a young pitcher and you used to say,
- 2:30:19well don't try to have too many pitches too fast.
- 2:30:21You may ask for one or two before you go to another one.
- 2:30:23Do you think young pitchers today try to throw too many different pitches?
- 2:30:26Yes, I do Herb, but I don't know whether I'm right or wrong.
- 2:30:30You see them, they're working on a fork ball, maybe a knuckle ball.
- 2:30:34A fork ball and a screw ball are the two things that everybody wants now.
- 2:30:37And I was always afraid of those two pitches.
- 2:30:40I'd rather have the knuckle ball and the curve ball and the slider because the slider and the curve is a natural way your arm is going to go over across your body.
- 2:30:49When you throw a screw ball and a fork ball I don't know about, I know they kind of throw it like a knuckle ball, some people did,
- 2:30:56but I threw mine just like I did the fastball except I held it different.
- 2:31:00And they turn the arm the opposite way, they turn the palm of the hand away from the body and that is unnatural.
- 2:31:06And it seems to me like sooner or later they'll have bone chips, that's what I was always afraid of.
- 2:31:13I was always afraid of the sinker even, much less the screw ball.
- 2:31:16We have Willis here, he has a great screw ball and he is rougher on right-handers than he is on left-handers I think
- 2:31:24because it is a different type of thing, a screw ball coming in, one that really breaks.
- 2:31:29I don't know Herb, it's hard to tell anymore.
- 2:31:32You know I didn't believe in putting ice on the elbow, that was one of the things that scared me.
- 2:31:36When I first came back in 63 this thing had just come about, COFAC started I guess, or his trainer did, LA's trainer.
- 2:31:46And the trainer says, you want some ice on your arm? I said no, I'll take some in the cup or in the glass.
- 2:31:53the closest any ice will ever get to my elbow is in my hand in a cup or something.
- 2:31:58That is one of the differences, they do treat the arm differently. Early when of course you pitched to what, to three different decades?
- 2:32:04Yeah, well four. I was stubborn, I wouldn't give up.
- 2:32:08Of course I got started just at the right time. I came to Washington in 1939, so only got in one year there.
- 2:32:17And then I played through 1963. So there was Mickey Vernon, another friend of yours you know very well,
- 2:32:25and Ted Williams, and then Minnie Minoso got, they put Minnie Minoso in a pitch hit.
- 2:32:31So they're building them up now you know. And I heard one time, there was a couple other fellows, someone named Bobo Newsom.
- 2:32:40But I really don't know, the sports writers have not dug that up yet.
- 2:32:46Early on I guess, we could go on and on and on with you, but we're running out of time.

- 2:38:11If your business has traditionally depended on print advertising, here are some hard facts.
- 2:38:16Since 1967, average daily newspaper circulation has failed to keep up with the growth of the population, but average cost per thousand is almost doubled.
- 2:38:25Now the radio facts. Since 1967, ratings audience is up a big 61 percent, but cost rolls only moderately.
