- 0:00Speaker 1: Michael said, what and I might be having a baby.
- 0:02Speaker 1: It's One More Thing.
- 0:06Speaker 2: One More Thing. Whoa wow, it's a Katie Green lead
- 0:10Speaker 2: One More Thing podcast. Very exciting. As a man who craves.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Leisure, I appreciate Katie taking. Now I'm here, I will
- 0:19Speaker 3: just enjoy all right.
- 0:22Speaker 1: So for starters, we have received numerous requests to me,
- 0:29Speaker 1: at least on Twitter, on Facebook, and also my Instagram
- 0:33Speaker 1: for people that are saying that they've always heard Jack, Joe,
- 0:37Speaker 1: and myself curse on this podcast, but they've never heard Michael,
- 0:42Speaker 1: so they want to hear Michael cuss.
- 0:43Speaker 2: I don't know if I've ever heard Michael curse in
- 0:45Speaker 2: real life.
- 0:46Speaker 1: I don't think I have either.
- 0:47Speaker 4: Oh I'm sure I have.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Do you curse, Michael?
- 0:50Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 0:50Speaker 4: I mean occasionally, I mean not all the time, but.
- 0:52Speaker 2: They come kicky in the shin. See what you say.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Well, I'd like for you to pick your flavor and
- 0:56Speaker 1: just go for it because the people want it.
- 0:59Speaker 4: All right. We got damn hell, it's a good one.
- 1:04Speaker 4: And then I'm gonna shock you with this racial slur.
- 1:08Speaker 2: But honky, okay, so Michael is cursed. We've satisfied that meat.
- 1:18Speaker 2: We've scratched that itch.
- 1:20Speaker 3: That's some some, but not a single one that I
- 1:23Speaker 3: feel like that's baby curses.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Yeah, Michael, I don't.
- 1:27Speaker 2: I don't.
- 1:27Speaker 3: I am not in favor of this. By the way,
- 1:29Speaker 3: if you don't want to hear a part an innocence
- 1:31Speaker 3: of spirits Sully him harlots, if it makes you uncomfortable, Oh.
- 1:35Speaker 4: No, no, no, I could do it anytime. But I mean,
- 1:37Speaker 4: it's just I just think it's the idea is so silly.
- 1:39Speaker 4: But you know, all right, you want me to get
- 1:42Speaker 4: a drum roll or something like yes, yes, listen.
- 1:46Speaker 1: We talked before the show about this, so I made
- 1:48Speaker 1: sure I wasn't like crossing any lines.
- 1:50Speaker 2: I like, okay, okay, what I mean, I like the
- 1:52Speaker 2: idea of a drum roll.
- 1:53Speaker 1: That's let's get let's get like that.
- 1:55Speaker 4: All right, let me grab a drum roll first. Okay,
- 1:57Speaker 4: I think of the dirtiest word I could ever say.
- 2:01Speaker 2: No, don't do that.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Just to be clear, those those first three were bullshit, Michael.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Those were pretty low level.
- 2:08Speaker 4: Okay, well, I'm grabbing the drum roll coming coming.
- 2:12Speaker 1: This is terrible. I know it's not. Well, then you
- 2:14Speaker 1: know here we go, all right, you do the.
- 2:18Speaker 4: All right here we go.
- 2:23Speaker 5: Ship, Yes, all right, I made my dad.
- 2:35Speaker 4: There you go.
- 2:37Speaker 1: You're welcome.
- 2:38Speaker 2: That is some entertainment right there?
- 2:40Speaker 4: Am I going to the restaurant?
- 2:41Speaker 1: Throw up?
- 2:41Speaker 3: Now? Okay, that's part Well, you betrayed everything that makes
- 2:45Speaker 3: you you.
- 2:46Speaker 2: I hope you're pleased prostituting yourself? Like that's how are
- 2:50Speaker 2: you going to look your mom in the eye? Do
- 2:52Speaker 2: you kiss your mom with that mouth? I can't anymore?
- 2:57Speaker 1: So?
- 2:58Speaker 4: Right?
- 2:59Speaker 2: Okay? Part two Katie.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Okay, So if I become a little honre at the
- 3:04Speaker 1: beginning of May, you guys will know why. I've talked
- 3:08Speaker 1: about how I was hoping this year to have a
- 3:09Speaker 1: kid and we have decided that the end of May
- 3:12Speaker 1: is going to be when it happens. I have a
- 3:17Speaker 1: kidney disease that is fifty to fifty percent hereditary, and
- 3:22Speaker 1: I've found a doctor who is going to take all
- 3:25Speaker 1: the eggs out, genetically test them and find out which
- 3:29Speaker 1: ones have the kidney disease and which ones don't. Oh,
- 3:33Speaker 1: they can do that, They can do that. Wow, And
- 3:38Speaker 1: science is every day. It blows my mind. So they're
- 3:43Speaker 1: going to take those eggs. They are going to put
- 3:46Speaker 1: Dru's little swimmers in those guys, and then we are
- 3:50Speaker 1: going to artificially inseminate, as they say, at the end
- 3:54Speaker 1: of May.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Well, so you don't get to have sex.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Oh, I get to have sex whenever I want, Jack.
- 3:59Speaker 2: But not for creation reason.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Yeah, it doesn't for okay. There are several reasons why
- 4:04Speaker 1: that doesn't work for me. Okay, and it all has
- 4:08Speaker 1: to do with my health.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Situation, gotcha, Sure, yeah, enough said.
- 4:13Speaker 1: But so the fact that the doctor, I'm gonna so
- 4:16Speaker 1: at the end of May, I'm going to start taking
- 4:18Speaker 1: a medication and for ten days I will be on
- 4:20Speaker 1: that medication, and then I will be going into the doctor.
- 4:23Speaker 1: They're going to do the procedure where they take the
- 4:24Speaker 1: eggs out and then they're going to find the good
- 4:27Speaker 1: ones and put one in and freeze the rest, and
- 4:31Speaker 1: we're going to try until.
- 4:32Speaker 2: It takes interesting. Wow, is this the sort of thing
- 4:36Speaker 2: Trump was trying to ban?
- 4:37Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, damn it Trump. No, it's not. No, but
- 4:42Speaker 1: hopefully this time next year I'll be pregnant and cranky.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Well yeah, maybe quite a bit sooner than that.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Yeah, or actually no, I don't math. Well, so I'll
- 4:53Speaker 1: probably have a baby by this time next year. If
- 4:55Speaker 1: it works.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Right off the back. I don't know if you're just
- 4:56Speaker 2: stating an elephant, but if it's a baby humans jacks.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Yeah, there you go. But yeah, wow, the fact that
- 5:04Speaker 1: this doctor has the ability to and there are other
- 5:08Speaker 1: genetic issues like she she did a test on both
- 5:11Speaker 1: Drew and I and he tested, I believe high for
- 5:14Speaker 1: muscular dystrophee wow. And I tested high for polycytsic kidney disease,
- 5:20Speaker 1: which is what I have. And then uh, something else
- 5:23Speaker 1: I can't remember us.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Does everybody do this now or is this some because
- 5:28Speaker 2: you've had health problems like I didn't. We didn't do
- 5:30Speaker 2: any of this stuff. But I mean it was fifteen
- 5:32Speaker 2: years ago and times change.
- 5:34Speaker 1: So polycystic kidney disease is a hereditary condition, but no
- 5:38Speaker 1: one in my family has it. I'm what's called a
- 5:40Speaker 1: mutated gene. Shocking. Uh, And so I decided to go
- 5:46Speaker 1: this route because it's a fifty to fifty chance.
- 5:49Speaker 2: But so why why why did they check your husband?
- 5:52Speaker 2: I mean, is it, like my question, is this just routine?
- 5:54Speaker 4: Now?
- 5:54Speaker 2: Does everybody do this?
- 5:56Speaker 1: Well, if you're going to go through genetic testing, they
- 5:58Speaker 1: test the partner as well.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Okay, so did insurance cover this? Or do you pay
- 6:02Speaker 2: for it yourself?
- 6:03Speaker 1: Save saved for a long time.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Okay, you pay for yourself.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Interesting, a lot of saving going on here. But they
- 6:11Speaker 1: they tested Drew, they tested me, So they're gonna just
- 6:14Speaker 1: take all those eggs out and and take his sperm
- 6:17Speaker 1: and test everything and find out what's good, what's not,
- 6:20Speaker 1: put it together, and then that process starts at the
- 6:23Speaker 1: end of me. Wow, And I'm very.
- 6:26Speaker 3: Excited and and and yeah, well we're excited for you
- 6:29Speaker 3: and amazed by the science.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Oh yeah, is that incredible? It is? It is amazing.
- 6:36Speaker 2: And since Joe and I have been through the experience,
- 6:38Speaker 2: we know that we can count on some real mood
- 6:41Speaker 2: swings coming our way. Yes you can, which will be
- 6:44Speaker 2: awesome for the radio.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Oh you got And you know what you guys have
- 6:48Speaker 1: been I mean, I've been here for two years, so
- 6:50Speaker 1: you guys have been with me through multiple mood swings,
- 6:53Speaker 1: and I can only they're gonna get worse.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Not like pregnancy mood swings.
- 6:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna be hungry and mad, My ankles are going
- 7:00Speaker 1: to be swollen.
- 7:02Speaker 2: We'll be terrified. Yeaied, And I'm looking forward to that.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Well, imagine, Drew, he's got to live with me, right.
- 7:09Speaker 3: Oh, I don't have to imagine it's sweetheart. I've bought
- 7:14Speaker 3: that ticket and taken that ride many times, several times.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Yeah, uh yeah, Yeah, that's absolutely fantastic. And we're so
- 7:21Speaker 2: pro child around here. That's very, very cool.
- 7:23Speaker 1: So I was thinking, maybe I can do the whole
- 7:25Speaker 1: labor thing on the air, make a whole segment out
- 7:27Speaker 1: of it.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Oh that great radio. Yes, yeah, Facebook Live. So we're
- 7:33Speaker 3: pro child. You can tell by how childish we are.
- 7:35Speaker 3: We're just trying to you know, right.
- 7:38Speaker 1: So you guys worked in San Francisco at the same
- 7:41Speaker 1: time that I was there on KSFO. Did you guys
- 7:44Speaker 1: come into the building after the placenta had been put
- 7:47Speaker 1: in the microwave?
- 7:48Speaker 2: Oh, don't don't recall that story, all right? Oh no,
- 7:55Speaker 2: wonder my hot chocolate tasted funny?
- 7:57Speaker 1: That would be it. So we shared a building with
- 8:00Speaker 1: a beautiful rock station based out of San Francisco. In
- 8:03Speaker 1: the morning show, there had a dear friend of mine
- 8:07Speaker 1: who had a baby, and she decided to bring her
- 8:10Speaker 1: placenta into the studio.
- 8:12Speaker 3: This is where she's gonna make me sick and I
- 8:14Speaker 3: don't know why.
- 8:15Speaker 1: And she brought it because you might have put your
- 8:17Speaker 1: hot pocket in there, Joe, that might have been it.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Why did she bring it in just to show people?
- 8:21Speaker 1: Or uh no for the show, which is absolutely right
- 8:25Speaker 1: along the vein of something I would do. I mean,
- 8:27Speaker 1: you know, she brought it in and for whatever reason,
- 8:29Speaker 1: the host went, hey, let's cook it.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Oh my god, what the what?
- 8:34Speaker 1: Yeah, and he stuck it in the microwaves.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Do this it's a thing.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Yeah, and uh somebody on the show took a bite.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Oh, you're killing me.
- 8:45Speaker 3: That's so I'm gonna try it.
- 8:47Speaker 1: It is.
- 8:47Speaker 2: I do know that culturally, some cultures do this. It's
- 8:49Speaker 2: like very regular.
- 8:51Speaker 1: This had jack f to do with culture. So basically,
- 8:58Speaker 1: the placenta got cooked in the microwave. The higher newsroom
- 9:01Speaker 1: and the KSFO studio, Oh my lord, wreaked of whatever
- 9:06Speaker 1: the hell that was. I think the show had to
- 9:09Speaker 1: purchase a new microwave.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Wow, so sickening. I think we're not going to do that.
- 9:13Speaker 2: I think we do it. Did I dream this? Did
- 9:16Speaker 2: we talk about it? Do we actually do? I think
- 9:17Speaker 2: we actually buried ours with a tree we planted.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Oh that's cute. Okay, Jeck's looking at me like it
- 9:24Speaker 1: was us.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, I thought maybe you'd remember me talking
- 9:31Speaker 2: about it all. Ye yes, I do.
- 9:33Speaker 3: That does sound familiar.
- 9:34Speaker 1: I mean I knew you guys worked together, but yeah,
- 9:36Speaker 1: I didn't know you guys were like doing it actually
- 9:39Speaker 1: had five beautiful children together.
- 9:41Speaker 3: I think it's time to, like Katie, come clean about
- 9:43Speaker 3: the whole process.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Yeah, well, Dad, you know this.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Is why Katie. I won't eat polenta because it sounds
- 9:49Speaker 3: too much.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Like Oh, come one for me, one hundred percent true.
- 9:53Speaker 2: I will not eat polenta because it sounds like placenta.
- 9:55Speaker 2: It's a grain, no matter, right, I can't do it.
- 9:59Speaker 2: That's dumb.
- 10:00Speaker 3: And I will beef either, because it's just one t
- 10:04Speaker 3: away from being that's I have hot dogs. I eat
- 10:08Speaker 3: hot dogs if I want.
- 10:09Speaker 1: That sounds like uranus, which Jack apparently is very close
- 10:14Speaker 1: to being able to see.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Part this is so stupid. Anyway, Well, congratulations. Let's end
- 10:19Speaker 2: on that note. Congratulations, and that'll that'll be fun for
- 10:22Speaker 2: the show because we get to talk about the whole.
- 10:24Speaker 2: You know, if you're if you're lucky, you've been through
- 10:27Speaker 2: this before, the whole getting pregnant, being pregnant, having a baby,
- 10:31Speaker 2: baby stop for this will be great for years to come.
- 10:33Speaker 2: This is like, you know, it's an aging sitcom. We've
- 10:36Speaker 2: been doing this for a long time. We need to
- 10:38Speaker 2: bring in as somebody with a baby.
- 10:40Speaker 3: Note see now it's about him, I know, the show
- 10:43Speaker 3: out the show, and not about you and beautiful child.
- 10:46Speaker 2: As you know how much the salespeople are gonna like this,
- 10:49Speaker 2: you need a baby stuff.
- 10:51Speaker 3: I disavow, I disavow.
- 10:53Speaker 5: Now.
- 10:53Speaker 1: I will say one thing I'm going to struggle with
- 10:56Speaker 1: is I was already at what my mom at there
- 10:58Speaker 1: not my mom. I'll leave my mom out of this
- 11:00Speaker 1: what my dad and I call a bob, which is
- 11:02Speaker 1: a big old bitch. I was two hundred and ten pounds.
- 11:05Speaker 2: I lost all the weight, that's right, yeah, yeah.
- 11:07Speaker 1: And so getting pregnant is it's gonna be a show.
- 11:11Speaker 1: We're gonna have fun with this, guys. I think.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Your relatable. Yes, it'll all work out, I hope.
- 11:19Speaker 1: So thanks, thanks dads.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Probably that is fantastic good news for the show. Oh well,
- 11:28Speaker 2: I just avow.
- 11:30Speaker 4: I was gonna tell the story about getting a tropical fish,
- 11:32Speaker 4: but Katie blew.
- 11:35Speaker 2: That's a lovely fish. So Michael, very graceful and congratulations.
- 11:41Speaker 4: Well I guess that's it.
