- 0:02Speaker 1: On scorn lids Oscodia. This is the Wader Panety Show.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Good evening, and welcome to the Riata Panehy Show.
- 0:10Speaker 3: Coming up tonight, Douglas Murray joins me to talk about
- 0:13Speaker 3: everything from Kamala's achilles heel to Princess Catherine's good news.
- 0:18Speaker 2: That's coming up before the first ad break.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Caroline Marcus with the latest on a shocking crime in
- 0:24Speaker 3: Brisbane that has left a nine month old with horrific injuries.
- 0:28Speaker 3: And later in the hour, the brilliant Josh Hammer will
- 0:31Speaker 3: be here with the latest from the US, and we
- 0:34Speaker 3: have another extended edition of Lefties Losing.
- 0:37Speaker 2: It starring this exhausting woman.
- 0:40Speaker 4: And then all of a sudden, out of the mom's mouth,
- 0:42Speaker 4: I hear the trigger words non binary and gender fluid
- 0:45Speaker 4: and quotas in session and my ears are turned on.
- 0:48Speaker 5: Let's do this.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Joining me now, Senior reporter Caroline Marcus. Carolette's start with
- 0:53Speaker 3: one of the most disturbing stories of the year, the
- 0:56Speaker 3: attack against baby Luca in a Brisbane park.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Police say the foreign.
- 1:01Speaker 3: National who allegedly poured boiling coffee on this nine month
- 1:06Speaker 3: old baby in a Brisbane park last month has fled
- 1:09Speaker 3: the country before police could confirm his identity. Baby Lucas
- 1:14Speaker 3: suffered life threatening burns and has undergone multiple surgeries since
- 1:18Speaker 3: the August twenty seven attack, including skin graps. Police say
- 1:23Speaker 3: the accused left the country a day before they were
- 1:27Speaker 3: able to confirm his identity.
- 1:29Speaker 2: A warrant has.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Been obtained for his arrest for acts intending to cause
- 1:34Speaker 3: grievous bodily harm. Caroline, what else can you tell me
- 1:39Speaker 3: about this investigation and the likelihood of bringing this alleged
- 1:43Speaker 3: defender to justice.
- 1:45Speaker 6: Well, I guess the likelihood has got just that little
- 1:48Speaker 6: bit lower, reader, because as we now know, this man
- 1:53Speaker 6: has evaded police and managed to get out of the
- 1:57Speaker 6: country just twelve hours before police identified him in what
- 2:03Speaker 6: has to be the most sickening senseless crime of the
- 2:07Speaker 6: year so far. It just discussed me every time I
- 2:11Speaker 6: hear or read anything about this case. Police have said
- 2:15Speaker 6: that this suspect had been using counter surveillance techniques in
- 2:20Speaker 6: order to evade arrest, which does seem to suggest some
- 2:24Speaker 6: degree of sophistication on the offender's part. It's just a
- 2:29Speaker 6: question now in working with the international and interstate agencies,
- 2:33Speaker 6: because this man allegedly had been staying in New South
- 2:38Speaker 6: Wales for some of the time that he'd been coming
- 2:41Speaker 6: in between here and overseas. We don't know where he's foreign.
- 2:44Speaker 6: Police won't say since twenty nineteen, whether they can track
- 2:49Speaker 6: him down in the foreign country, whether there's any sort
- 2:52Speaker 6: of extradition agreement wherever he ends up being. You've just
- 2:57Speaker 6: got to hope that this man can be brought to
- 3:01Speaker 6: justice because what's happened here is absolutely horrific. I mean,
- 3:06Speaker 6: this poor family and the trauma that baby Luca and
- 3:10Speaker 6: his parents have gone through now is just beyond words.
- 3:15Speaker 6: And the mother has said that she would support capital
- 3:19Speaker 6: punishment for Luca's attacker, and I think, well, that's not
- 3:23Speaker 6: an option in Australia. Obviously, even the most ardent opposers
- 3:28Speaker 6: of the death penalty would find that hard to disagree with.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Now to Victoria and the Liberal Party has acted their
- 3:38Speaker 3: candidate for the seat of Chisholm. They're now going to
- 3:42Speaker 3: be putting into that seat former Higgins MP Katie Allen.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Allen was the candidate for Higgins, which was abolish when
- 3:51Speaker 3: electoral boundaries were redrawn, and it seems this decision has
- 3:55Speaker 3: really upset the rank and file members at Chisholm, who
- 3:58Speaker 3: had no say in the matter.
- 3:59Speaker 2: I've got copy of.
- 4:00Speaker 3: An internal party letter from the Electorate secretary which says,
- 4:05Speaker 3: in my time in the party, I have never seen
- 4:08Speaker 3: as much sadness amongst members as I have these past
- 4:12Speaker 3: twenty four hours without any pre selection or member input.
- 4:16Speaker 3: I can understand why many of you are questioning the
- 4:19Speaker 3: legitimacy of this decision. Unlike Labor, we value membership and
- 4:24Speaker 3: rank and file pre selections. We value democracy with value transparency,
- 4:28Speaker 3: we value fairness.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Carolina Katie Allen is from Tuak.
- 4:34Speaker 3: She lives a very different lifestyle to the average voter
- 4:38Speaker 3: in Chisholm.
- 4:38Speaker 2: How do you see this decision?
- 4:41Speaker 6: Well, I can't help but see this decision as one
- 4:45Speaker 6: that seems to be based almost entirely on her sex.
- 4:48Speaker 6: Read I mean the fact that she's a woman. And
- 4:52Speaker 6: I say that not because I don't think she'd be
- 4:54Speaker 6: a competent and per she's been an MP before. She's
- 4:58Speaker 6: a pediatrician, and I have a highest regard for people
- 5:01Speaker 6: who work with six children. But the Liberal Party has
- 5:06Speaker 6: acknowledged that it needs to address what's been called its
- 5:09Speaker 6: women's problem, and in order to do that, before the
- 5:13Speaker 6: next election, they need to pre select something like seventy
- 5:17Speaker 6: percent of her candidates being women in order to achieve
- 5:22Speaker 6: that gender parody. Now, I know a lot of women
- 5:24Speaker 6: out there made cheer that there's a woman who's now
- 5:28Speaker 6: going to be running for the Liberals, but a lot
- 5:30Speaker 6: of women as well don't like that sort of tokenism.
- 5:34Speaker 6: And that's what it appears to be, even if it
- 5:37Speaker 6: may not be the case. That's how it at least
- 5:39Speaker 6: appears with the election electorate redistribution. It's unfortunate that she
- 5:45Speaker 6: wasn't able to run for Higgins again, but is it
- 5:50Speaker 6: fair to displace someone who was the pre selected candidate.
- 5:55Speaker 6: I understand why it would have blind signed it blindsided
- 5:59Speaker 6: a lot of can file members yes, and less them
- 6:01Speaker 6: feeling so angry.
- 6:04Speaker 3: I think around thirty percent of a former electorate is
- 6:07Speaker 3: now part of Chisholm. But in that thirty percent, there's
- 6:11Speaker 3: from what I understand, nine boots and she lost eight
- 6:15Speaker 3: of them. So that tells you a little bit but
- 6:19Speaker 3: about how she may perform at the coming election, but
- 6:21Speaker 3: we'll wait and see. She is a very good fundraiser
- 6:24Speaker 3: and is a hard worker, certainly Now former South Australian
- 6:29Speaker 3: Opposition leader David Spears is insisting that this.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Footage of him appearing to snort.
- 6:34Speaker 3: White powder surrounded by wine and liquor bottles is a
- 6:39Speaker 3: deep fake. The clip, captured on June thirty this year,
- 6:43Speaker 3: was obtained by the Adelaide Advertiser. Spears says he strongly
- 6:48Speaker 3: disputes the authenticity of the video. He's told the Advertiser
- 6:52Speaker 3: he believes it is a deep fake or elaborate hoax,
- 6:55Speaker 3: adding I was overseas for two weeks in June and
- 6:58Speaker 3: during that time other per since had access to my home,
- 7:02Speaker 3: giving rise to the opportunity for someone to obtain footage
- 7:06Speaker 3: of my premises. I am extremely disappointed by this and
- 7:09Speaker 3: a sure South Australians that I would never take illicit substances.
- 7:13Speaker 3: I never have and I never will. Now, we're not
- 7:16Speaker 3: suggesting any wrongdoing on mister Spears's behalf here, but we're
- 7:21Speaker 3: not saying these substances are even illegal. But Caroline, this
- 7:26Speaker 3: is an astonishing story, a very twenty twenty four story.
- 7:31Speaker 7: It is.
- 7:31Speaker 6: Remember Brita when the excuse when politicians and other high
- 7:34Speaker 6: profile people were caught out doing bad things online, they
- 7:39Speaker 6: would say I've been hacked, someone's locked into my account
- 7:42Speaker 6: and sexted someone. Now the excuse for twenty twenty four
- 7:45Speaker 6: seems to be it's a deep fake. But the newspaper
- 7:48Speaker 6: the Advertiser, who obtained these images have said they've checked
- 7:51Speaker 6: the metadata. He was in the country when they were taken.
- 7:55Speaker 6: They've also consulted with a forensics expert that the courts
- 7:59Speaker 6: used that has said it doesn't appear that there were
- 8:01Speaker 6: any any tampering or alterations, so it doesn't appear to
- 8:05Speaker 6: be exactly how David Spears may be putting it.
- 8:09Speaker 3: Caroline Marcus, thank you for your time this evening. Now
- 8:13Speaker 3: they're left up becoming increasingly desperate and resorting to some
- 8:17Speaker 3: ugly tactics. That's evident in the media too, with far
- 8:20Speaker 3: left side criche publishing this bit of slander against Liberal
- 8:25Speaker 3: leader Peter Dutta, and they have concluded that he is
- 8:28Speaker 3: racist and this is their evidence.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Brace yourself.
- 8:31Speaker 3: So the number one reason he walked out of Parliament
- 8:35Speaker 3: rather than here, the then Prime Minister Kevin Wright apologized
- 8:38Speaker 3: to the so called stolen generations. He did mention the
- 8:42Speaker 3: problem of rising African gang violence in Melbourne. He pointed
- 8:47Speaker 3: out the need to counter Chinese aggression to keep peace
- 8:50Speaker 3: in our region, and of course, most recently he called
- 8:53Speaker 3: for a pause on visas for Gazans until thoroughchecks could
- 8:58Speaker 3: be conducted. Joining me now as former Speaker of the
- 9:01Speaker 3: House and Liberal National MP for Fisher Andrew Wallace. Andrew,
- 9:05Speaker 3: what is your response to your leader being labeled racist?
- 9:11Speaker 8: Well, you can always count on the left Rita to
- 9:14Speaker 8: pull out the racist card when they're in strife, and
- 9:18Speaker 8: boy are they in strife now. Look, I've known Peter
- 9:21Speaker 8: for a long time. He's been a police officer for
- 9:24Speaker 8: nine years. He's been the Immigration Minister, the Home Affairs Minister.
- 9:31Speaker 8: He has had some tough portfolios and now he's in
- 9:33Speaker 8: his toughest portfolio as the leader.
- 9:35Speaker 9: Of the Opposition.
- 9:36Speaker 8: But I can tell you now, and I can tell
- 9:38Speaker 8: you your viewers, that you will not find a man
- 9:42Speaker 8: who is more committed to the safety and security.
- 9:45Speaker 9: Of Australians than Peter Dutton.
- 9:48Speaker 8: And look, when you've seen everything that's gone on with
- 9:51Speaker 8: Andrew Giles as the Immigration Minister and how poorly the
- 9:55Speaker 8: Labor Party are conducting themselves from a national security perspective,
- 10:00Speaker 8: what do you want? Do you want someone like Andrew
- 10:02Speaker 8: Giles looking after the country? From an immigration perspective, or
- 10:06Speaker 8: do you want someone like Peter Dutton calling the shots?
- 10:10Speaker 9: I know which I'd rather.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Do you think you should consider legal action here?
- 10:17Speaker 3: To be labeled a racist so blatantly by a publication,
- 10:23Speaker 3: it goes beyond just the sort of criticism politicians expect
- 10:27Speaker 3: to get.
- 10:27Speaker 2: From the media.
- 10:31Speaker 8: Well, Rita, I've been a barrister for over twenty years
- 10:35Speaker 8: and my first advice to anybody that is considering legal
- 10:38Speaker 8: action is don't No one wins when you go down
- 10:42Speaker 8: that route.
- 10:44Speaker 9: It becomes a win for lawyers and lawyers only.
- 10:48Speaker 8: So you know, if Peter was to ask me my views,
- 10:50Speaker 8: I'd say no, But of course it's a matter for Peter.
- 10:53Speaker 9: But you know, this is not the first time we've
- 10:55Speaker 9: heard Peter labeled as that.
- 10:58Speaker 8: We heard the Member Orringa in the Parliament recently. Yes,
- 11:02Speaker 8: this is someone who has stood on a platform of
- 11:06Speaker 8: integrity and you know when someone is really struggling politically
- 11:10Speaker 8: when they pull a racist card.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Absolutely, and that was quite a bizarre performance from Zali
- 11:17Speaker 3: Steel because she withdrew the comment in parliament, then came
- 11:20Speaker 3: on Sky News and repeated it. Now let's move along
- 11:23Speaker 3: to the federal government. Planning to introduce a social media
- 11:27Speaker 3: band for children nationwide within the next twelve months. The
- 11:31Speaker 3: age limit has not yet been determined. The Prime ministers
- 11:35Speaker 3: following South Australia's lead here they are proposing a band
- 11:39Speaker 3: for those aged thirteen and under. But Andrew, how will
- 11:44Speaker 3: this be in force? How will this age verification work?
- 11:47Speaker 3: It doesn't work on porn sites, haws are going to
- 11:51Speaker 3: work with social media sites?
- 11:55Speaker 9: Well read, let me correct you on something there.
- 11:59Speaker 8: Anthony Alberizi has been dragged, kicking and screaming on his
- 12:03Speaker 8: ultimate position in relation to social media bands. In June
- 12:08Speaker 8: of this year, Peter Dutton came out very strongly and
- 12:12Speaker 8: said that a Dutton elected government would ensure that we
- 12:15Speaker 8: had a minimum of sixteen years of age for social
- 12:19Speaker 8: media and we would do that in the first hundred days. Now,
- 12:22Speaker 8: it's really interesting that Peter Melanowskis came out yesterday and
- 12:26Speaker 8: gave a watered down version of that. But what it
- 12:28Speaker 8: did it made Anthony Albaneasy look absolutely impotent because he
- 12:34Speaker 8: was the one that stood up the Select Committee on
- 12:37Speaker 8: which I'm on, which is examining this very issue. So
- 12:41Speaker 8: we are still processing and having evidence.
- 12:45Speaker 9: Before us and because Peter Melanowskis came out and said
- 12:48Speaker 9: what he said.
- 12:49Speaker 8: Yesterday, Elbows jumped out in a half baked measure, felt
- 12:55Speaker 8: that he really needed to make a stand on this.
- 12:58Speaker 8: But he's still he's still can't say what age group
- 13:02Speaker 8: this will apply to. Well, you know, the Coalition has
- 13:05Speaker 8: been very strong on this. Peter Dutton has led the
- 13:07Speaker 8: way on this from as early as June this year,
- 13:10Speaker 8: saying that we would mandate a minimum age of sixteen.
- 13:14Speaker 8: What parents are telling me is that they need that
- 13:19Speaker 8: legal protection because you know, you know, I don't know
- 13:22Speaker 8: if you're a parent, reader, but certainly I've had four
- 13:25Speaker 8: daughters and kids will always use the oh you know,
- 13:29Speaker 8: Mary's mum and dad let her. Why won't you let
- 13:31Speaker 8: me line We've all experienced as.
- 13:33Speaker 2: There's always the peer pressure. Andrew Willis, thanks for.
- 13:36Speaker 9: Your time, Thanks reader.
- 13:38Speaker 3: Joining me now is commentator and best selling author Douglas
- 13:42Speaker 3: Murray Douglas. The first and only debate between Kamala Harris
- 13:46Speaker 3: and Donald Trump is just hours away.
- 13:49Speaker 2: The VEEPS team.
- 13:49Speaker 3: Has been desperately trying to change the agree to debate rules.
- 13:53Speaker 3: If you were advising the Vice president, how would you
- 13:56Speaker 3: tell her to approach this clash.
- 14:02Speaker 5: Well, I mean, she's got several problems on her hands,
- 14:04Speaker 5: hasn't she, Because on the one hand, she's got to
- 14:07Speaker 5: make sure that she says absolutely nothing, and she's quite
- 14:12Speaker 5: good at that. It has to be said, but she
- 14:15Speaker 5: has to say absolutely nothing because we know that many
- 14:20Speaker 5: of the policies that she would bring in, as Bernie
- 14:23Speaker 5: Sanders admitted this week, would be pretty radical and would
- 14:27Speaker 5: put off the public. At the same time, there might
- 14:31Speaker 5: still be some journalists in America and elsewhere who will
- 14:33Speaker 5: notice that she has to say something. I suspect that
- 14:38Speaker 5: what she's going to do, and what her advisors will
- 14:40Speaker 5: have told her to do, is to try to trap Trump,
- 14:44Speaker 5: and they will do that by getting her to do
- 14:47Speaker 5: something like the shtick she did in the last debate
- 14:51Speaker 5: when she was running for VEEP and against against Donald
- 14:54Speaker 5: Trump and Mike Pence. And you remember she kept saying
- 14:57Speaker 5: to Mike Pence, I'm speaking, excuse me what I am
- 15:03Speaker 5: And it was a very clear attempt to sort of
- 15:05Speaker 5: say I'm a woman. I'm also a woman of color.
- 15:08Speaker 5: And therefore if you in any way not just interrupt me,
- 15:12Speaker 5: but counter me, you're kind of countering a woman of
- 15:16Speaker 5: color and you know, steady on there, don't you realize
- 15:18Speaker 5: you're not allowed to do that. I don't think she'll
- 15:21Speaker 5: use that technique, but I bet they've come up with
- 15:23Speaker 5: a new one that's equally irritating and equally designed to
- 15:28Speaker 5: effectively trap her opponent.
- 15:32Speaker 3: And it will be something that the media absolutely love, and.
- 15:37Speaker 2: They'll promote it as a massive win.
- 15:40Speaker 3: And yet the rest of the viewing public, not all
- 15:44Speaker 3: of them, but many of them will find irritating.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Now, what does Trump have to do to get in
- 15:50Speaker 2: her head?
- 15:51Speaker 3: Should he try to throw her off? Pose questions the
- 15:55Speaker 3: debate moderators are not asking, or is it better off
- 16:00Speaker 3: just saying as little as possible and letting her talk?
- 16:03Speaker 5: Well that it's a very interesting one, this, I mean,
- 16:06Speaker 5: everybody sort of has ideas of how to do this,
- 16:08Speaker 5: and of course, you know, very few people have actually
- 16:11Speaker 5: been on the presidential stage or had a debate with
- 16:15Speaker 5: these kinds of stakes. I think that there's it's very
- 16:19Speaker 5: interesting watching Trump in recent weeks as he's he's you know,
- 16:23Speaker 5: clearly been advised, you know, stick to policy, and as
- 16:26Speaker 5: he said at one of the rallies the other the
- 16:28Speaker 5: other week, you know, the Democrats have been very very
- 16:30Speaker 5: personal against him, and how could he resist getting personal?
- 16:34Speaker 5: In response that said, it's an extremely difficult columbrum for him.
- 16:39Speaker 5: Getting personal. If she gets personal, and I think she's
- 16:43Speaker 5: bound to, getting personal is kind of inevitable. And if
- 16:48Speaker 5: he was to, as it were, rise above it, he
- 16:51Speaker 5: might well annoy a lot of his base. Who will
- 16:54Speaker 5: he will say, you know, we want to see you
- 16:55Speaker 5: pummel her effectively. So it's a very very tricky situation
- 17:00Speaker 5: he's in. This is why, of course the Democrats have
- 17:03Speaker 5: put her forward. Is it's meant to sort of snooker Trump. Nevertheless,
- 17:08Speaker 5: there are two very good lines of attack that he
- 17:10Speaker 5: could do. One is to actually ask her to get
- 17:14Speaker 5: specific on any policy, literally, any policy reata. It could
- 17:19Speaker 5: be anything from our education to foreign policy, taxation policy,
- 17:25Speaker 5: abtually any key policy, and just get her to give
- 17:30Speaker 5: any detail on it, not to say the importance of
- 17:34Speaker 5: education is something we must remember and that's why education matters,
- 17:39Speaker 5: and let's all think about that for a moment. Don't
- 17:42Speaker 5: let her do any of that. Actually ask her some detail.
- 17:45Speaker 5: That's the first thing he could do. The second thing
- 17:47Speaker 5: he could do is ask her how she squares this
- 17:51Speaker 5: circle of this campaign is about fixing America, and yet
- 17:59Speaker 5: I'm proud of what Joe Biden and I have accomplished
- 18:02Speaker 5: in the last four years. There is a disconnect between
- 18:05Speaker 5: those two things. Can he tease out of her what
- 18:09Speaker 5: her real thinking is? We'll see.
- 18:14Speaker 3: That's a very good point, because not only has she
- 18:16Speaker 3: been part of the Biden Harris administration, We've had the
- 18:19Speaker 3: Democrats in power twelve of the last sixteen years, so
- 18:22Speaker 3: this continuous There's a better way, the change we desperately need. Well,
- 18:27Speaker 3: how long do you need to actually implement it? We
- 18:31Speaker 3: are getting finally a few policy positions articulated on the
- 18:36Speaker 3: official Harris campaign website and Douglas she wants to provide
- 18:41Speaker 3: a pathway to citizenship for migrants who have crossed into
- 18:45Speaker 3: the border over the border illegally. This is in stark
- 18:49Speaker 3: contrast to Donald Trump, whose policy is to enact a
- 18:52Speaker 3: massive deportation initiative to get rid of illegal immigrants from
- 18:57Speaker 3: the country. How do you think this is going to
- 18:59Speaker 3: play at You know, this.
- 19:02Speaker 5: Has played out so many times in America in recent decades.
- 19:06Speaker 5: When you have a completely porous border, there is always
- 19:11Speaker 5: this temptation for people to say, why don't we put
- 19:14Speaker 5: a pathway to citizenship for people who are in America already,
- 19:18Speaker 5: and instead of having them work in the shadow economy,
- 19:21Speaker 5: in the black market and so on, let's bring them in,
- 19:24Speaker 5: make them taxpayers, make them citizens, and so on. There's
- 19:28Speaker 5: in one way, this is a perfectly reasonable argument. On
- 19:31Speaker 5: the other hand, it's absolutely lethal because what it does is,
- 19:36Speaker 5: after the millions of people who've already broken into America
- 19:38Speaker 5: through the southern border illegally, it simply encourages more to come.
- 19:42Speaker 5: Why because it says, you know, you've just got to
- 19:45Speaker 5: get in, you'll get everything that you need, and you
- 19:49Speaker 5: will eventually be actually a citizen. In other words, the
- 19:53Speaker 5: crime of breaking into the country illegally will effectively not
- 19:58Speaker 5: be judged to be a crime, won't be any punishment
- 20:01Speaker 5: for it. The problem about this is, and it's the
- 20:03Speaker 5: same problem with America that Europe has been going through.
- 20:06Speaker 5: Its the same problem Britain's going through. It's the same
- 20:08Speaker 5: problem that Australia has been challenged by in the past.
- 20:10Speaker 5: As you know, although Australia has been one of the
- 20:12Speaker 5: relatively same countries on this, the problem with it is
- 20:16Speaker 5: not the people who have already come. It's the millions
- 20:20Speaker 5: upon millions of people who would like to come and
- 20:24Speaker 5: who the minute that you make that pathway from being
- 20:28Speaker 5: an illegal, who breaks in being a citizen, and the
- 20:31Speaker 5: minute you make that pathway that easy, it's just millions
- 20:35Speaker 5: upon millions of people who will want to follow in
- 20:38Speaker 5: the footsteps of those people. So it's always there, This idea,
- 20:42Speaker 5: the pathway to systemship is always there as a temptation
- 20:44Speaker 5: for politicians, but they leave for their successes a bigger
- 20:49Speaker 5: and bigger nightmare.
- 20:52Speaker 3: Absolutely, you're just creating more poor factors. You're putting more
- 20:56Speaker 3: sugar on the table, as they say. And I do
- 20:59Speaker 3: wonder whether Democrats would be so keen on this path
- 21:02Speaker 3: to citizenship if they weren't counting on these new citizens
- 21:06Speaker 3: voting for them. Perhaps they're are miscalculating there, but I
- 21:11Speaker 3: think in the past they've been fairly safe in thinking
- 21:14Speaker 3: these new migrants who've been effectively awarded for crossing the
- 21:19Speaker 3: border illegally will support us with their vote.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Now, illegal immigrants are causing all.
- 21:25Speaker 3: Sorts of serious issues for people across many towns in
- 21:28Speaker 3: the US. It's not just those border towns anymore. We've
- 21:31Speaker 3: had a armed Venezuelan gangs taking over apartment buildings in
- 21:35Speaker 3: Colorado to thousands of immigrants from Haiti being placed in
- 21:41Speaker 3: a little town called Springfield, Ohio. This is a town
- 21:44Speaker 3: with a population of less than sixty thousand Douglas, and
- 21:47Speaker 3: the mayor there says they've been overwhelmed by fourteen to
- 21:51Speaker 3: twenty thousand migrants that have been brought in by authorities.
- 21:55Speaker 2: The locals have had enough.
- 21:57Speaker 10: I really challenge you guys to get out here, do something.
- 22:00Speaker 10: These Pasians are running into trash cans, they're running into buildings,
- 22:05Speaker 10: they're running into if looking cars in the middle of
- 22:09Speaker 10: the street.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Douglas.
- 22:13Speaker 3: The locals there are not getting to the services they
- 22:16Speaker 3: need because they're being overwhelmed by these new.
- 22:19Speaker 2: Migrants that have arrived. And when you think about the.
- 22:22Speaker 3: Numbers, a town of less than sixty thousand to suddenly
- 22:25Speaker 3: have anywhere between fourteen and twenty thousand new people placed
- 22:30Speaker 3: in it, and you can understand why they're overwhelmed.
- 22:34Speaker 5: I mean, I've seen this so many times in so
- 22:36Speaker 5: many other Western countries Rita. It's exactly the sort of
- 22:40Speaker 5: thing that happened in Sweden since twenty fifteen. It's exactly
- 22:43Speaker 5: the same thing that's happened in towns in Germany and elsewhere,
- 22:47Speaker 5: and it's always the same story, is that the locals
- 22:50Speaker 5: say we can't put up with this, and central or
- 22:55Speaker 5: local government says, tough luck, you're going to have to.
- 23:00Speaker 5: And I think this is profoundly im moral on the
- 23:03Speaker 5: part of politicians. I think it's a wicked thing to do.
- 23:07Speaker 5: The first duty of politicians is to look after the
- 23:11Speaker 5: interests of the people who put them in power, the voters.
- 23:15Speaker 5: It's not to make sure that everyone in Venezuela who
- 23:19Speaker 5: wants to flee and break into a condo flat gets
- 23:25Speaker 5: the right to do so. And I think it's an
- 23:27Speaker 5: unbelievable offering up a responsibility, abdication of responsibility by politicians,
- 23:36Speaker 5: And as I said earlier, they leave a much bigger
- 23:40Speaker 5: mess for the people coming after them.
- 23:44Speaker 2: Absolutely. Now let's move to the UK.
- 23:46Speaker 3: The BBC's israel Her mass coverage is said to breach
- 23:51Speaker 3: the broadcaster's own editorial guidelines over fifteen hundred times. This
- 23:55Speaker 3: is according to a new report compiled by a team
- 23:58Speaker 3: of lawyers and data scientists Douglas.
- 24:01Speaker 2: They analyze some nine million.
- 24:03Speaker 3: Words of coverage across several languages and different platforms. The
- 24:09Speaker 3: question has to be asked, why does the BBC have
- 24:12Speaker 3: this deeply worrying pattern of bias, bias against Israel.
- 24:19Speaker 5: It always has done. I'm slightly surprised that they've been
- 24:22Speaker 5: found to have only fifteen hundred breaches of their own
- 24:25Speaker 5: guidelines in recent I had put the figure rather higher
- 24:28Speaker 5: than that. There was a report some years ago into
- 24:32Speaker 5: the BBC's anti as well bias inside the BBC, and
- 24:35Speaker 5: the report was never released, and I suspect, as many
- 24:39Speaker 5: other people do, that it's because it came to the
- 24:41Speaker 5: same conclusions that this report has come to. You can
- 24:44Speaker 5: absolutely smell it in broadcasting house. There's a straightforward editorial
- 24:49Speaker 5: lie on the Israel issue, which is that the BBC
- 24:54Speaker 5: believes that Israel always is in the wrong and can
- 24:57Speaker 5: do no right, and it's coverage is grossly unfair. It
- 25:03Speaker 5: has been for years, and I think this is something
- 25:07Speaker 5: that should be should be addressed. I mean, you see
- 25:09Speaker 5: it in headline after headline, day after day. The BBC
- 25:14Speaker 5: will report things from effectively the angle of Hamaz. It
- 25:18Speaker 5: happened recently with the issue of the four hostages who
- 25:25Speaker 5: were killed in captivity. The way in which the BBC
- 25:29Speaker 5: reported this it was as if the Israelis have killed
- 25:33Speaker 5: the Israeli hostages. It was as if he is Raeli
- 25:36Speaker 5: Prime ministered the Israeli hostages. The whole onus of the
- 25:40Speaker 5: coverage was as if there was an Israeli mistake or
- 25:45Speaker 5: error or Israelian transigence that had caused it. And the
- 25:51Speaker 5: coverage did not acknowledge the fact that in most civilized
- 25:55Speaker 5: media entities, as well as societies, it is deemed to
- 25:58Speaker 5: be wrong to break into some somebody else's country, break
- 26:01Speaker 5: into their house, fill their citizens, and internap them, then
- 26:05Speaker 5: hold them in tunnels for almost a year and then
- 26:07Speaker 5: shoot them in the head. Most people would regard that
- 26:10Speaker 5: as being on the people who did it. Oh not
- 26:13Speaker 5: the BBC, because you can always find Jeremy Bowen or
- 26:17Speaker 5: another of their correspondents always taking the side always of
- 26:22Speaker 5: just anyone who's anti Israel. It's an endemic bias in
- 26:26Speaker 5: the BBC, completely sick. And of course they're welcome to
- 26:30Speaker 5: do that. If they want to just be a pro
- 26:33Speaker 5: Hamas anti Israel channel, they can do that. But there's
- 26:36Speaker 5: a caveat with them, which is that they're not in
- 26:38Speaker 5: the free market, and on this exchange of free ideas
- 26:41Speaker 5: they're paid for by the license pairs, by the taxpayers
- 26:45Speaker 5: in the UK. So that's why this matters. It's not
- 26:48Speaker 5: like The Guardian, the guy I think can do what
- 26:49Speaker 5: it wants. This is the national broadcaster, and so I
- 26:53Speaker 5: think that a better standard should be expected of them,
- 26:56Speaker 5: and indeed demanded.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Now, before you.
- 27:00Speaker 3: Go, Princess Kate has just in recent hours released a
- 27:04Speaker 3: video announcing she has completed her chemo therapy treatment.
- 27:10Speaker 11: To finally completed my chemotherapy treatment. The last nine months
- 27:15Speaker 11: have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life.
- 27:19Speaker 11: As you know, it can change in an instant and
- 27:22Speaker 11: we've had to find a way to navigate the stormy
- 27:24Speaker 11: waters and road unknown.
- 27:27Speaker 2: Douglas.
- 27:28Speaker 3: She also speaks about looking forward to being back at
- 27:31Speaker 3: work and undertaking public engagements. It's a beautifully shot video,
- 27:35Speaker 3: i've got to say, has.
- 27:36Speaker 2: Astonished Royal watches. I love it.
- 27:40Speaker 3: I think we should be have more communication like this.
- 27:44Speaker 3: There was so much secrecy around her treatment and she's
- 27:48Speaker 3: now coming out and sharing it all with the world.
- 27:52Speaker 5: Yeah, it's the first time I've seen it. It's a
- 27:55Speaker 5: fake glossy but look it's a happy story at a
- 27:58Speaker 5: time when happy stories, and you know, she's been remarkable
- 28:04Speaker 5: figure in public life ever since she first entered public life.
- 28:08Speaker 5: Unlike some people we could think of, she's been extraordinarily
- 28:12Speaker 5: devoted in her work and you know, I hope that
- 28:17Speaker 5: her return to public life. I think it will be seen,
- 28:19Speaker 5: it will be welcomed enormously warmly by the British public
- 28:22Speaker 5: and others. She's never put a foot wrong since since she,
- 28:26Speaker 5: you know, became a public figure in one of the
- 28:29Speaker 5: toughest jobs in the world in a way, because you know,
- 28:33Speaker 5: if she's in one of those visions where if you've
- 28:35Speaker 5: scowled once, you'd get a lifelong reputation for being a
- 28:39Speaker 5: grum And so it's wonderful that she'll be back. The
- 28:44Speaker 5: royal family has got rather too few working members at
- 28:46Speaker 5: the moment, so having one of the absolute alist royals
- 28:50Speaker 5: back is good news.
- 28:54Speaker 3: And she's showing such enormous grist because the couple you
- 28:58Speaker 3: haven't mentioned, Harry Meghan. I've poured all sorts of vitriol
- 29:02Speaker 3: her way and her husband's way. She knows she can't respond.
- 29:06Speaker 3: She just has to keep a dignified silence, which must
- 29:10Speaker 3: be enormously difficult. But she's done it. She's done her duty.
- 29:13Speaker 3: And we thank her for it. Douglas Murray, thank you
- 29:16Speaker 3: for your time this evening. Thank you still to come
- 29:21Speaker 3: an extended edition of Lefties Losing It. You're welcome, welcome back.
- 29:34Speaker 3: Now it's time for Lefties Losing It, and I have
- 29:38Speaker 3: for you here a.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Uniquely annoying Lefty.
- 29:41Speaker 3: Losing It about a family having a private conversation about
- 29:45Speaker 3: folks confused about their gender.
- 29:47Speaker 4: Hi, Harriett, have you ever beIN p to b headcrimed?
- 29:49Speaker 5: Well?
- 29:50Speaker 2: I have, so let me tell you about it.
- 29:51Speaker 4: Okay, so yesterday I was at work serving this family
- 29:54Speaker 4: that were sitting there like the three raised men, and
- 29:56Speaker 4: then all of a sudden, out of the mom's mouth,
- 29:58Speaker 4: I hear the trigger was none binary and gender fluid
- 30:01Speaker 4: and quote as in session and my ears are turned on.
- 30:04Speaker 5: Let's do this.
- 30:05Speaker 4: So basically, the mom was trying to explain to the
- 30:07Speaker 4: dad what it meant to be non binary or gender fluid.
- 30:11Speaker 4: After a few minutes go by, the dad responds in
- 30:13Speaker 4: the same way that every guy that looks like him
- 30:16Speaker 4: would and says, you know, I understand where they're coming from,
- 30:19Speaker 4: but if you're biologically a male or female, that's what
- 30:22Speaker 4: you are. And then I'm standing there on display.
- 30:30Speaker 3: Just exhausting, draining, draining. Now, let's hear from a Democrat congresswoman,
- 30:37Speaker 3: Magazine Waters, who claims Republicans and those upset with a
- 30:41Speaker 3: number of immigrants from Haiti being deposited into their small towns.
- 30:45Speaker 2: Well they just racist. There could be no other explanation.
- 30:49Speaker 12: Well, let me just say this that Haitians have been
- 30:53Speaker 12: the victims of you know, not only our country but
- 30:57Speaker 12: Canada and France. For you is historically they're black, they're poor.
- 31:03Speaker 12: It supports country in the hemisphere. They have been exploited
- 31:07Speaker 12: and it continues all the time. Yes, I think they're
- 31:11Speaker 12: treated differently because they're black, because they're Haitians.
- 31:15Speaker 3: But here is a local in Springfield, Ohio who doesn't
- 31:19Speaker 3: really see it that way, and he doesn't exactly fit
- 31:22Speaker 3: Maxine Waters white supremacists race beating talk.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Let's hear from him.
- 31:27Speaker 10: I think it's like kind of odd that like a
- 31:29Speaker 10: guy like me has to come out from doing what
- 31:31Speaker 10: I do on a daily basis to have fun because
- 31:33Speaker 10: I see what's going on in these streets and I
- 31:35Speaker 10: see you guys are sitting up there in them comfy
- 31:36Speaker 10: chairs and suits like and I'm getting out here every
- 31:39Speaker 10: day and I'm broadcasting this and you guys are just
- 31:42Speaker 10: sitting up there and suits or something like, I really
- 31:44Speaker 10: challenge you guys to get out here and do something.
- 31:46Speaker 10: These Haitians are running into trash cans, they're running into buildings,
- 31:51Speaker 10: they're running into they flipping cars in the middle of
- 31:55Speaker 10: the street. And I don't know how like y'all can
- 31:58Speaker 10: be comfortable with this, Like I don't know like who's
- 32:01Speaker 10: getting paid from it. I feel like I honestly feel
- 32:04Speaker 10: like someone's.
- 32:04Speaker 9: Getting paid from it.
- 32:05Speaker 10: In the background, they dropping that you got a bunch
- 32:10Speaker 10: of people on a bus getting dropped off at a
- 32:11Speaker 10: gas station to come down here. I know a single
- 32:14Speaker 10: mom that FaceTime met tonight, FaceTime me this morning at
- 32:17Speaker 10: the welfare office that really need like that really needs something,
- 32:20Speaker 10: and it's nothing but immigrants over there.
- 32:24Speaker 3: And here is Kamala Harris taking credit for giving temporary
- 32:28Speaker 3: protection status to over one hundred thousand migrants from Haiti.
- 32:32Speaker 7: That is why also, starting with our administration, we gave
- 32:37Speaker 7: TPS temporary protected status to Haitian migrants fifty five thousand,
- 32:42Speaker 7: and then more recently we extended temporary protected status to
- 32:46Speaker 7: over one hundred thousand Haitian migrants for that very reason
- 32:50Speaker 7: that they need support, they need protection.
- 32:52Speaker 3: Now the Mail Online is reporting that Kamala Harris is
- 32:56Speaker 3: prepping for the debate by practicing with Ai in an
- 33:00Speaker 3: orange wig. No reports yet whether it's this guy.
- 33:06Speaker 13: Ladies and gentlemen, the real president of the United States.
- 33:10Speaker 14: Me what an unbelievable experience it is, What a great
- 33:15Speaker 14: show this could be. Instead, we've got an absolute idiot
- 33:19Speaker 14: here running the show.
- 33:21Speaker 3: That's, of course, the great Shane Gilles, whose Trump is
- 33:24Speaker 3: the best in the business, and he stayed in character
- 33:27Speaker 3: there for two hours for that Kiltny episode.
- 33:30Speaker 2: Look it up, thank me later. Most of it is
- 33:33Speaker 2: too blue for a.
- 33:34Speaker 3: Family show like this. Now to a lefty teacher losing it.
- 33:38Speaker 3: This dude with the proud trans teacher shirt teaches in
- 33:42Speaker 3: Rhode Island, and watch this totally sane and rational behavior
- 33:46Speaker 3: as he destroys a Trump sign.
- 33:54Speaker 7: Yes, my name is.
- 33:55Speaker 15: Handy Grinder and I'm working at the one store on floor.
- 34:00Speaker 2: You're threatening my life.
- 34:01Speaker 5: He's trying to job you, so we're trying to hit it.
- 34:03Speaker 5: He's trying to pair my signs.
- 34:04Speaker 3: Yet, and here is that same teacher claiming he is
- 34:09Speaker 3: off on sickly due to injuries caused by transphobia in
- 34:14Speaker 3: the classroom.
- 34:15Speaker 15: School teacher, and I'm currently out on sickly owing to
- 34:22Speaker 15: injury in performance of job related tasks in the workplace
- 34:31Speaker 15: caused by classroom transphobia and homophobia owing to my own
- 34:37Speaker 15: beliefs and opposition to the school to prison pipeline. This
- 34:43Speaker 15: is a complicated situation, particularly because it is directly related
- 34:48Speaker 15: to my gender identity and sexuality and homophobia in the classroom.
- 34:53Speaker 2: Good luck kids.
- 34:54Speaker 3: Now we've seen the gold Staff family is ignored by
- 34:57Speaker 3: Biden and Kamala Harris. We' seeing them attacked by the
- 35:01Speaker 3: ugliest segments of the media.
- 35:03Speaker 2: And social media too.
- 35:05Speaker 3: Yes, some left is losing it are laying the boots
- 35:08Speaker 3: into gold Star families.
- 35:11Speaker 16: I am angry at the gold Star families who invited
- 35:16Speaker 16: Trump to Arlington because they decided, in their adoration for
- 35:21Speaker 16: Trump that it was okay to let Trump his campaign
- 35:27Speaker 16: staff and his campaign team's.
- 35:30Speaker 2: Videographer and photographer.
- 35:33Speaker 16: On top of all of the aids and security, they
- 35:38Speaker 16: invited them to Arlington to traps over other people's children's graves.
- 35:45Speaker 2: Just gross and unhinged.
- 35:48Speaker 3: Now, we always enjoy watching Bill Maher being schooled by
- 35:51Speaker 3: his own guests. And that's precisely what the editor in
- 35:54Speaker 3: chief of National Review did, Rich Lowry, watch.
- 35:58Speaker 1: This to get rid of him, because if he lost
- 36:02Speaker 1: another election, that would be twenty eighteen, twenty twenty, twenty
- 36:06Speaker 1: twenty two, twenty twenty four. I would think, and I've
- 36:10Speaker 1: certainly been the last one to say Trump's over now,
- 36:13Speaker 1: lots of people do. I was like, no, no, no,
- 36:16Speaker 1: But I think this would be it for him. I
- 36:17Speaker 1: think he'd still be He's not like Joe Biden. He's
- 36:20Speaker 1: not going to go peacefully and out to pasture. But
- 36:25Speaker 1: Republicans will have had enough of Trump. Not of Trump
- 36:28Speaker 1: isn't and it can you be done with all that?
- 36:32Speaker 17: You can't be certain of that bill. The one thing
- 36:34Speaker 17: that's certainly if you lose is Kama Harrison President of
- 36:37Speaker 17: the United States. And I wholly oppose almost every single
- 36:39Speaker 17: one of her positions. I think she's a vacuates one opportunist.
- 36:43Speaker 17: I totally reject the idea that in the space of
- 36:45Speaker 17: forty eight hours she went from a subpar vice president
- 36:48Speaker 17: everyone recognized as such all of a sudden of the
- 36:50Speaker 17: second coming of Barack Obama.
- 36:52Speaker 3: It is preposterous and the lessons did not end their
- 36:55Speaker 3: what yere is Larry and Hayshaw McMaster school, MA Democrat
- 37:00Speaker 3: John Avlon and the lefty audience.
- 37:03Speaker 18: We've got one guy saying we should we should pull
- 37:06Speaker 18: out of NATO, right, we should not.
- 37:07Speaker 9: Donald Putin could do whatever.
- 37:08Speaker 18: The Holly wants, basically giving a yellow light to China
- 37:11Speaker 18: on Taiwan. I mean, you know, the autocratic alliance you
- 37:15Speaker 18: warn about is in many cases rooting rooting for Donald
- 37:19Speaker 18: Trump because they think it leads to American division and decline.
- 37:21Speaker 18: But the fact is is that right now for strong
- 37:24Speaker 18: on national security, one party party's leader seems to be
- 37:27Speaker 18: trying to weaken NATO, and the other party has has
- 37:29Speaker 18: expanded it in strengthen except.
- 37:31Speaker 17: He supposedly forced by Trump to do it. Withdrawal totally dishonorable,
- 37:37Speaker 17: bad disgrace. His presidency has not recovered from it since,
- 37:40Speaker 17: and our position abroad hasn't you control it?
- 37:42Speaker 19: Direct line from that disastrous, humiliating withdrawal to the reinvasion
- 37:47Speaker 19: of Ukraine in February of twenty twenty two. I mean,
- 37:49Speaker 19: I think what's weakness is the what is provocative is
- 37:54Speaker 19: the perception of weakness.
- 37:56Speaker 3: Now, let's end left is losing it with comic Andy
- 38:00Speaker 3: Hayes talking about why it's so much harder.
- 38:03Speaker 2: To live life as a lefty. This is actually pretty fun.
- 38:07Speaker 13: I am a liberal. I don't like it. It's not fun.
- 38:10Speaker 13: We all know that it's not fun. It's a full
- 38:12Speaker 13: time job. Conservatives, that must be so easy. You're not
- 38:14Speaker 13: learning any pronouns. You're leaving your air conditioning on, You're
- 38:19Speaker 13: throwing all your garbage in one hole. I'm out of here.
- 38:23Speaker 13: I'm like, did the composts go out? Is the compost out?
- 38:26Speaker 9: How are the refugees? Are the refugees all right?
- 38:30Speaker 13: What's the air quality index today? I remember last year
- 38:35Speaker 13: in New York January fifteenth, it was seventy five degrees
- 38:39Speaker 13: and all of us New Yorkers, all of us liberal
- 38:41Speaker 13: New Yorkers, we had to go outside and pretend that
- 38:43Speaker 13: was bad. We had to go out in a beautiful
- 38:47Speaker 13: January day and be like this sucks, right, climate change?
- 38:53Speaker 13: I'm in a T shirt.
- 38:55Speaker 2: This is awful.
- 38:57Speaker 3: Still to come, plenty more lefties losing it, content with
- 39:00Speaker 3: the brilliant Josh Hammer.
- 39:11Speaker 2: Welcome back.
- 39:12Speaker 3: The one and only debate between Donald Trump and Kamala
- 39:15Speaker 3: Harris is on tomorrow, and let's take a quick look
- 39:18Speaker 3: at the ABC moderators. David Muir and Lindsey Davis are
- 39:23Speaker 3: hardly impartial. Here is just a little taste of their
- 39:27Speaker 3: anti Trump bias. These are comments from less than a
- 39:31Speaker 3: month ago from Davis linking Trump to a white supremacist cause.
- 39:37Speaker 20: Former President Donald Trump is expected to go campaign and
- 39:40Speaker 20: Howard Michigan tomorrow. Many people are aware of that a
- 39:44Speaker 20: month ago in Howell KKK Peltester's marchmist roots with the
- 39:49Speaker 20: white robes on and suggested that they support Donald Trump.
- 39:54Speaker 20: I'm curious if if you make anything about that connection
- 39:57Speaker 20: in his going in particular to howld tomorrow.
- 40:00Speaker 3: Joining me now is Newsweek Senior editor at Large and
- 40:03Speaker 3: Article three Project Senior Council Josh Hamma. Josh, that was
- 40:07Speaker 3: a bizarre question from an ABC anchor. Well, Tomorrow's debate
- 40:12Speaker 3: BA level playing.
- 40:13Speaker 21: Field, Probably not, if I had to guess, I mean.
- 40:18Speaker 21: ABC News, of course, would be the same American media
- 40:20Speaker 21: outlet that hires George Stephanopolis to anchor its Sunday news show.
- 40:25Speaker 21: That people will probably recall that George Stefanopolis was one
- 40:28Speaker 21: of the pre eminent Clinton campaign staffers, along with Jimmy
- 40:31Speaker 21: Carvill back in nineteen ninety two. I mean, he is
- 40:33Speaker 21: about as partisan a Democrat as it gets in all
- 40:36Speaker 21: of the mainstream corporate media. This is not an objective
- 40:39Speaker 21: outlet at all. Actually read a if I think back,
- 40:42Speaker 21: it was on the precipice of the twenty twenty presidential election.
- 40:45Speaker 21: Wisconsin has become one of America's foremost swing states. It
- 40:48Speaker 21: was an ABC News poll just a handful of days
- 40:52Speaker 21: prior to the twenty twenty election that showed back then
- 40:54Speaker 21: that Joe Biden was allegedly up by seventeen points on
- 40:58Speaker 21: Donald Trump and Wisconsin the final mark and a victory
- 41:00Speaker 21: and ended up being less than one point. So, I mean,
- 41:03Speaker 21: there's definitely something in the water at ABC News. Fortunately
- 41:07Speaker 21: for Donald Trump, you know, if he plays his cards right,
- 41:10Speaker 21: it doesn't really matter. I think how the moderators approach this.
- 41:13Speaker 21: So the moderator is Kamala Harris Rita. They're going to
- 41:16Speaker 21: do everything they can to steer the conversation to two topics.
- 41:19Speaker 21: In particular, they're gonna do everything they can to steer
- 41:22Speaker 21: the conversation to so called our democracy because they painted
- 41:26Speaker 21: Donald Trump out to be a historical threat to the
- 41:28Speaker 21: Constitution and all that we stand for. The near assassination
- 41:31Speaker 21: of him a month and a half ago has not
- 41:32Speaker 21: slowed them down at all. They have that issue, and
- 41:35Speaker 21: then they have the abortion issue. If Donald Trump can
- 41:37Speaker 21: quickly respond to those two and then pivot to all
- 41:40Speaker 21: the other issues, namely immigration, the economy, inflation, and crime,
- 41:44Speaker 21: those are really the four issues right now. Those are
- 41:46Speaker 21: the four issues that the American people tell pulsters they
- 41:49Speaker 21: care most about. And Donald Trump is more trusted on
- 41:52Speaker 21: each of those four issues. So if he can quickly pivot,
- 41:54Speaker 21: so for example, on the question of our democracy, which
- 41:57Speaker 21: I'm sure is going to compet some point, all he
- 41:59Speaker 21: has to do. He's looking to the camera and very
- 42:02Speaker 21: straightforward and clearly say there is one person on this
- 42:05Speaker 21: steege whose Department of Justice is trying to incarsrate the opposition,
- 42:08Speaker 21: and guess what, it's not me, and then immediately pivot
- 42:11Speaker 21: to the economy, immigration, and so forth. If he can
- 42:13Speaker 21: do that, he's going to be in great shape.
- 42:15Speaker 4: I think.
- 42:17Speaker 2: I think so.
- 42:18Speaker 3: And I think he also has to just resist talking,
- 42:21Speaker 3: because the more Kamala talks, the more trouble she gets
- 42:24Speaker 3: herself into. And I think that will be difficult for
- 42:26Speaker 3: Donald Trump, but if he can restrain himself, it would
- 42:30Speaker 3: be fantastic. The Mail Online is revealing that Kamala Harris
- 42:35Speaker 3: is prepping for this debate by practicing against an AID.
- 42:39Speaker 2: In an Orange wig.
- 42:42Speaker 3: No reports yet whether it's this guy my favorite Trump impersonator.
- 42:47Speaker 3: What do you think about this? Is this a sign
- 42:51Speaker 3: that she's taking it deadly seriously or a sign that
- 42:55Speaker 3: a campaign isn't really run by adults?
- 42:59Speaker 21: Well, Damala Harris is in serious trouble. I mean Nate Silver,
- 43:03Speaker 21: who runs five thirty eight and he's probably America's foremost
- 43:06Speaker 21: political odds horse race prognosticare essentially the best statistical analyst
- 43:11Speaker 21: we have here now. Now, he himself is a is
- 43:13Speaker 21: a liberal leaning guy. I mean he calls it roughly straight.
- 43:17Speaker 21: But no one doubts that Nate Silver is a liberal.
- 43:19Speaker 2: You know.
- 43:20Speaker 21: His model actually just a few hours ago actually changed
- 43:23Speaker 21: to Donald Trump having about a sixty five to sixty
- 43:26Speaker 21: six percent chance of winning the election. In fact, according
- 43:28Speaker 21: to Nate Silver's current model, Donald Trump is favored in
- 43:31Speaker 21: literally every single swing state right now, Nevada, Arizona, Georgia,
- 43:36Speaker 21: North Carolina, and all three of the big Rust Belt
- 43:38Speaker 21: states of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, especially Pennsylvania, which is
- 43:42Speaker 21: the largest electoral college prize of them all of all
- 43:45Speaker 21: the Swings states. So Donald Trump is actually in very
- 43:47Speaker 21: good shape right now. And you know, there were a
- 43:49Speaker 21: lot of people Rita who after they pulled the bloodless
- 43:52Speaker 21: cup of Joe Biden and inserted the cackling communists from California,
- 43:56Speaker 21: Kamala Harris in Joe Biden's stead, there are a lot
- 43:59Speaker 21: of people people who started freaking out. Yes, the polls
- 44:02Speaker 21: tied in there. You know, I have to say, I
- 44:03Speaker 21: don't want to pat myself in the back too hard,
- 44:05Speaker 21: but I was not one of them, because, as you
- 44:07Speaker 21: just said, the more people that actually listen to and
- 44:10Speaker 21: hear Kamala Harris talk, it's like an immediate repulsion. I mean,
- 44:14Speaker 21: it's like oil on water. The woman is just not
- 44:17Speaker 21: likable and she's I've obviously been profoundly terrible as an
- 44:21Speaker 21: actual leader. You know, she's been vice president of one
- 44:23Speaker 21: of the worst administrations in the entire history of the Republic.
- 44:27Speaker 21: Her presidential campaign twenty twenty bout out well before the
- 44:29Speaker 21: first votes were've been cast in Iowa. I could go
- 44:31Speaker 21: on here, but she's in big trouble, and what that
- 44:34Speaker 21: means in concrete, tangible terms is that she has a
- 44:37Speaker 21: lot on the line in this debate. So I'm not
- 44:40Speaker 21: surprised that that she's pulling out all these gimmicks, these stunts,
- 44:42Speaker 21: the orange haired wig or whatever they're because the stakes
- 44:45Speaker 21: are really really high for her, I would argue even
- 44:47Speaker 21: higher than for Donald Trump himself.
- 44:51Speaker 3: I agree with you there. I think the polls. Trump
- 44:55Speaker 3: always performs that poorly in polls compared.
- 44:58Speaker 2: To where is support really.
- 45:00Speaker 3: If if they're saying he's leading by three, he can
- 45:03Speaker 3: be sure he's probably leading by eight or nine. Now,
- 45:05Speaker 3: that's always been the experience with his numbers, including in
- 45:09Speaker 3: twenty twenty. Now there's reports that Kamala Harris is looking
- 45:13Speaker 3: to name hard left Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison as
- 45:17Speaker 3: the US's top copper. Campaign team has reportedly told Arab
- 45:22Speaker 3: American leaders in Detroit that she could name Ellison, the
- 45:27Speaker 3: special prosecutor and the George Floyd case, as attorney general
- 45:31Speaker 3: as part of her administration. Trump officials told Fox News
- 45:36Speaker 3: Keith Ellison would be a natural fit in a Kamala
- 45:38Speaker 3: Harris administration.
- 45:39Speaker 2: Both are radical.
- 45:40Speaker 3: Liberals who support ending cash bail and releasing violent criminals
- 45:45Speaker 3: into American neighborhoods. Do we take these reports seriously?
- 45:48Speaker 8: Josh?
- 45:49Speaker 3: And she's already selected Tim Walls as her running mate.
- 45:53Speaker 3: How much more radically left can her administration be.
- 45:58Speaker 9: Read?
- 45:58Speaker 21: I think you might be surprised, and God forbid, I
- 46:00Speaker 21: think that I am my fellow Americans might be surprised.
- 46:03Speaker 21: Comes January twenty twenty five, if God forbid this ticket
- 46:06Speaker 21: actually prevails here. You know, Keith Ellison is not just
- 46:10Speaker 21: a radical when it comes to so called criminal justice reform,
- 46:14Speaker 21: when it comes to ending cash bail, when it comes
- 46:16Speaker 21: to jailbreak, when it comes to all these other post
- 46:18Speaker 21: George Floyd, post racial reckoning left wing agendas. You know,
- 46:22Speaker 21: the man is also fundamentally an Islamist. I mean he
- 46:25Speaker 21: is as cozy and close with care of the Council
- 46:28Speaker 21: and American Islamic relations as it gets care by the way,
- 46:31Speaker 21: it is recognized by by no less Muslim country as
- 46:34Speaker 21: the United Arab Emirates as a terrorist organization in Saudi Arabia,
- 46:38Speaker 21: if I'm not mistaken, has taken similar steps as well. Unfortunately,
- 46:41Speaker 21: much of the Democratic Party's elite class, their brass has
- 46:45Speaker 21: not gotten the memo. Keith Ellison is about as pro
- 46:48Speaker 21: care as it gets there. He's there in Minnesota, so
- 46:50Speaker 21: is Tim Wallas. That's illano Omar's backyard there. So this
- 46:53Speaker 21: is something I think of possibly a deliberate, a deliberate
- 46:57Speaker 21: leak that the Harris Walls campaign has probably done to
- 46:59Speaker 21: try to gin up enthusiasm among their far left, rathically
- 47:02Speaker 21: progressive pro Hamas base. They probably thought that the Democratic
- 47:06Speaker 21: National Convention was actually too even handed when it comes
- 47:09Speaker 21: to the Israeli Palestinian issue, if I had to guess. So, therefore,
- 47:12Speaker 21: they're trying to kind of throw out some breadcrumbs to
- 47:14Speaker 21: the radical base to try to get them excited for November.
- 47:16Speaker 21: But no one should make any mistake about this. Keith
- 47:18Speaker 21: Ellison would be an abominable, an abominable Attorney General of
- 47:22Speaker 21: the United States. He has been a horrific attorney general
- 47:24Speaker 21: in Minnesota. By the way, just real quick. One of
- 47:26Speaker 21: the other names that I've heard floated in case it's
- 47:28Speaker 21: not Keith Ellison for Kamala Harris's attorney general, God forbid
- 47:32Speaker 21: is woe by the name of Sally Yates. Sally Yates
- 47:34Speaker 21: made a lot of headlines in the first few days
- 47:37Speaker 21: of the Trump administray excuse me, yeah, the Trump ministration
- 47:40Speaker 21: back in January twenty seventeen, when she immediately instructed her
- 47:43Speaker 21: subordinates in the Trump DOJ to not enforce Trump's big
- 47:47Speaker 21: Day one immigration order, which the media disingenuously called the
- 47:50Speaker 21: so called Muslim Band. So that is another leading contender
- 47:53Speaker 21: for attorney general. It gives you an idea of what
- 47:55Speaker 21: they're thinking about.
- 47:58Speaker 3: It's shocking because we are trying to tell the broader
- 48:01Speaker 3: American public, not just those factions that you spoke of,
- 48:05Speaker 3: that she is a centrist, she's a moderate, she's a
- 48:09Speaker 3: safe pair of hands that you can trust to not
- 48:12Speaker 3: bankrupt the country. And yet when you hear about these
- 48:16Speaker 3: people she wants to include in her inner sanctum, they
- 48:20Speaker 3: are amongst the most radically left destructive forces in American politics.
- 48:25Speaker 3: But again, she did have the most liberal voting record
- 48:30Speaker 3: of any senator in twenty nineteen. That's her own track record,
- 48:34Speaker 3: so we know where she stands ideologically. Josh Hamma, thank
- 48:38Speaker 3: you so much for your time this evening.
- 48:40Speaker 2: Thank you so much as others, and that's it from me.
- 48:43Speaker 2: Up next is Newsnight
