  Hello, and thank you for joining us in this broadcast of Woman at the Well Ministries.

  And I'd like for us to go to prayer. Today's lesson is going to come on the
• 1:33
  topic of manifesting our love for Christ. And we're going to sort of center
• 1:37
  around Colossians chapter 1 and verse 10.
• 1:40
  But I would like for us to begin this with prayer because I really would like
• 1:44
  for our hearts to be in the place that it needs to be for the Lord to speak to us.
• 1:49
  Because when we love the Lord and it shows, then we're going to be mighty warriors for Him.
• 1:56
  And we're going to make a difference in this dark and sinful world that we live in.
• 2:02
  And others are going to come to know him through the witness that we lead.
• 2:08
  Our kind and most gracious, your heavenly Father, Lord, I just ask that you
• 2:10
  would just remove me from this message.
• 2:13
  I pray, Lord, that you would clear our minds and open up our hearts to hear what you have to say.
• 2:18
  Lord, from the depths of my heart, I want to thank you for giving your son to die for me.
• 2:23
  And Jesus, I want to thank you for loving me so much that you would give your life for me.
• 2:28
  Lord, I ask that you would help me to just feel that love in such a way that
• 2:32
  I'm able to articulate what it means to be loved by you.
• 2:38
  So that those who hear this message would be drawn towards you.
• 2:42
  Help me, Lord, to lift you up as you promised that if we would lift you up,
• 2:45
  you would draw all men unto you.
• 2:48
  Lord, I pray that you would just make a word picture of your love for us so
• 2:55
  that everyone who's listening could fully understand it.
• 2:59
  Lord, I thank you for that home not made for hands, eternal into the heavens,
• 3:05
  that you have for each of us who have claimed the name,
• 3:09
  of your precious son lord i thank you for the picture that you gave us in the
• 3:14
  book of revelations that john on the isle of patmos saw of heaven and lord i
• 3:21
  thank you that what i do understand of it is,
• 3:25
  more breathtaking and beautiful than i can describe.
• 3:29
  But i'm glad that the greatness of heaven isn't wrapped up entirely in what it looks like.
• 3:38
  But it is completely what it is. I'm thankful that you are the light of that
• 3:44
  place and that sin can't enter in.
• 3:46
  Lord, I'm looking forward to going to a place where there are no more partings
• 3:50
  and no one dies and where sin can't cause misunderstandings and broken relationships,
• 3:58
  where the devil can't throw things in my path and show me obstacles that sometimes
• 4:05
  my faith is just too weak to overcome on that first step,
• 4:10
  i'm real excited lord to be able to sit down and talk to you,
• 4:15
  and i want to see the nail scarred hands not as doubting thomas wanted to seize
• 4:19
  him but i want to see them to try to fully understand what it meant to you to love me,
• 4:30
  but lord i have no way of knowing how much time i have on this earth and i have
• 4:33
  no reason to think that i don't have a lot but you know the days and you know
• 4:40
  the work that you have for me.
• 4:43
  And Lord, I know that that work is going to require that I am passionately in love with you.
• 4:49
  And I know that everyone listening and is praying this prayer with me right
• 4:53
  now has a work to do for you, Lord, and to do it effectively and efficiently
• 4:57
  and to do it the way that we need to do it so that we'd be the greatest good for you.
• 5:02
  We need to do it with an unfailing, undying love.
• 5:07
  And so right now, at this very moment, I ask that you would just come into our
• 5:11
  hearts and that you would just explode inside.
• 5:17
  And Lord, that you would just draw us to you so close that we can hear you whisper.
• 5:22
  And I ask that you would help us to just push away the things of the world,
• 5:26
  to push away the things of the devil, to push away anything that would distract
• 5:31
  us for this next few moments so that you can get a hold on us.
• 5:36
  Help us to relinquish, Lord, our self-wills. help us dear heavenly father to
• 5:41
  hand to you the reins of our life and the throne of our heart,
• 5:47
  and lord i pray from the depths of my soul that you help us show you how much
• 5:52
  we love you and lord i want to thank you,
• 5:56
  that as we stumble and we slide and as we trip up and we make mistakes and as
• 6:02
  our fleshly, sinful nature.
• 6:06
  Rears its ugly head,
• 6:08
  that your grace is sufficient,
• 6:11
  that your forgiveness is complete.
• 6:14
  But, Lord, strike a chord in our heart that sings only a melody that plays for
• 6:20
  the world, the greatness and the goodness of who you are.
• 6:27
  Lord, I love you, and I thank you for this privilege.
• 6:32
  Please join us as we study your word and help us to love you more.
• 6:38
  In Jesus' name I pray, and all of God's people said, Amen.

  The Bible says in Colossians chapter 1 and verse 10, that ye might walk worthy
• 6:49
  of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.

  When you love someone, you want to be around them all the time.
• 7:04
  And that is so evident in God's love for us because he gave us the Holy Spirit
• 7:10
  to dwell inside of us so that we'd never be without him.
• 7:13
  When you love someone when they speak.
• 7:17
  Everything else seems unimportant and you just stop and you listen and that's so evident,
• 7:26
  in the way god deals with us because he says call unto me and i will answer
• 7:32
  thee and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not in jeremiah 33 3,
• 7:37
  he says if you ask you shall receive if you seek you shall find and if you knock
• 7:41
  it shall be opened unto you in Matthew 7.7.
• 7:45
  He says, come boldly unto the throne of God in Hebrews 4.14.
• 7:51
  It's so obvious what he feels about us. When you love somebody and they're in need.
• 7:59
  You give it to them, even if it hurts a little.
• 8:03
  And that's so obvious in how he deals with us.
• 8:07
  Because, you know, he said, I'll supply all of your needs according to my riches in glory.
• 8:16
  And he said to cast all your care upon me because I care for you.
• 8:20
  And he said that he knew the needs you had before you even asked.
• 8:27
  But he says, pray without ceasing. He wants to talk to you.
• 8:34
  And you know, when you really love someone, you really want to hang out with them.
• 8:41
  You want to play with them, and you want to just be with them,
• 8:45
  and you don't want a lot of time to pass without being right there.
• 8:52
  It's so obvious that he loves us in the way that he deals with us,
• 8:57
  because he says in revelations chapter 3 and i believe it's first 20 that behold
• 9:02
  i stand at the door and knock,
• 9:05
  and then he says if you'll just open this up i'll sup with you and you can sup
• 9:09
  with me i'll hang out with you and you know,
• 9:14
  when you have love in your life loneliness is pretty much non-existent and he said,
• 9:22
  you love me and you believe in me that I will never leave you nor forsake you.
• 9:30
  And you know, if you love somebody, you want what's best for them.
• 9:37
  And if you love somebody, you protect them and you take care of them.
• 9:46
  And you know what Jesus said? He said, I'll provide your needs.
• 9:51
  And he said, I'll fight your battles. you give me your cares,
• 9:57
  and look my burden is light and my yoke is easy you give me all the yuck this
• 10:05
  world has and i'll give you my light burden and my easy yoke,
• 10:12
  and you know if you really love someone you try to meet their needs.
• 10:17
  You'll give all that you have bible says greater love hath no man than this
• 10:22
  and a man lay down his life for his friends.
• 10:25
  Over and over again in my life, I watch my parents lay down their wants and
• 10:32
  their wishes that I might have, my needs, and sometimes just my wants.
• 10:40
  And I watch them care for me and be alongside me and live for me.
• 10:47
  So I know what it's like.
• 10:51
  But you know, there's a limit to what the very best of parents can do.
• 10:58
  And there's a limit to what the very best of friends can do.
• 11:04
  But there's no limit to what my God can do.
• 11:08
  Growing up, I got hurt tragically badly.
• 11:13
  And I remember it was the first time I'd really ever had to be away from my parents.
• 11:18
  And I remember this big long hallway in the whitest hospital I believe ever built.
• 11:25
  Big bright lights that glistened off of the corridor,
• 11:30
  and the doors to the operating room were this glistening white and my mom and
• 11:37
  dad were walking beside of the gurney as they were pushing me to the doors,
• 11:42
  and I remember it as if it was this morning the doctor that was pushing me in
• 11:47
  saying you can't go any further,
• 11:50
  and they looked at my mom and my dad and they said kiss her you can't come the
• 11:55
  rest of the way and i remember.
• 11:59
  Wanting to just grab and hold on to them and i wanted so desperately to breathe
• 12:06
  because it felt like all the air had been just knocked out of me because mommy
• 12:10
  and daddy weren't coming any further.
• 12:14
  I remember the sweet, soft voice.
• 12:19
  Parents in unison saying she's all yours god kimmy you're not alone,
• 12:28
  and i remember some 30 years later being in another hospital and man the floors were white,
• 12:38
  the doors were kind of silvery and glistening and my mom was coming to the end
• 12:43
  of her life and i had done all i could do I had given all I had.
• 12:52
  Have given all i could get but it wasn't my parents who said she's all yours
• 13:00
  lord but it was the doctor who said she's come to the end,
• 13:06
  and i remember them saying you just can't go there,
• 13:10
  and i said oh you're wrong i can't go there now but because i have a god who loves me i can go there,
• 13:21
  he promised you don't have to cross chilly jordan alone because when you love somebody,
• 13:27
  you'll go the extra mile and this he proved on calvary how much he loved me and so as i stood there,
• 13:39
  hearing those words in my ears that i had heard some 30 years before from the
• 13:44
  depths of my heart, I cried. She's yours.
• 13:49
  Mommy, you're not alone.
• 13:53
  You see, that's love.
• 13:55
  To go where no man can go isn't Star Trek.
• 14:00
  It's the love of God. To do what no man can do isn't an impossibility.
• 14:09
  It's god to love when you are so loved.
• 14:15
  Is so easy you see it wasn't hard for me to love my mom and dad because they loved me,
• 14:24
  it's not hard to love but loving is hard and i know you're thinking that makes
• 14:31
  no sense well the act of loving it requires you just losing yourself,
• 14:39
  and someone else and that can be difficult falling in love,
• 14:44
  with someone who's wonderful who loves you and is good to you,
• 14:51
  that's just easy and if you don't know jesus the savior you.
• 14:58
  Incredible words that the angel spoke on that night that he came to earth that
• 15:04
  are recorded in luke chapter 2 and verse 11 this is for unto you was born this
• 15:08
  day in the city of david a savior which is christ the lord,
• 15:12
  if you haven't experienced,
• 15:17
  him a savior then the only thing that my mind can possibly,
• 15:23
  think of that could explain why you haven't done that is that you just don't know he loves you,
• 15:33
  the bible explains the condition we all come in it says that we are all as filthy rags and that,
• 15:40
  though our sins were as scarlet he'll wash them white as snow and he says that
• 15:45
  all of our efforts no matter how wonderful we might think they be or how bad we might think they are.
• 15:52
  They're not worthy of him.
• 15:57
  But he said, I created you in my image.

  You i love you so much that when i was on the cross you were on my mind and
• 16:09
  all of these years you have ignored me but i'm gonna knock on your heart's door one more time at least,
• 16:16
  because i'm gonna knock on it now because today is the day of salvation and
• 16:20
  now is the accepted time and i wish that none should perish but that all should
• 16:24
  come to repentance and i don't want,
• 16:27
  to live eternity separated from you because nothing's going to separate me from your loving you,
• 16:33
  but you've got to make a choice,
• 16:36
  you've got to receive my free gift of salvation in Ephesians chapter 2 verses
• 16:42
  8 and 9 he says for by grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves
• 16:46
  it is the gift of God not of works lest any man should boast,
• 16:50
  you got to receive my free gift of salvation and for whosoever should call upon
• 16:55
  the name of the lord shall be saved and if you'll confess with your mouth the
• 16:59
  lord jesus and believe in your heart that god has raised him from the dead thou shalt be saved,
• 17:04
  for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made into salvation,
• 17:11
  all you've got to do is believe for god so loved the world that he gave his
• 17:16
  only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life,
• 17:22
  he says that we're to walk worthy the truth of the matter is you and i can't
• 17:27
  walk worthy any other way other than the imputed righteousness of christ.
• 17:32
  And how can you neglect such love our lives need to manifest the love of christ every day,
• 17:41
  because look what he saved you from and is bringing you to you see when everybody
• 17:48
  else has to stop at the door. He does it.
• 17:53
  Of you, and I'll stick by you to the end.
• 17:57
  And when the end comes, I am the way, the truth, and the life.

  And no man cometh unto the Father but by me. To put it in words that I can say
• 18:08
  that means in my heart, he says, I got you, girl, because I love you. And you know what?
• 18:16
  He loves you too. But unless your name's found written in the Lamb's Book of
• 18:20
  Life, you can't go to heaven.
• 18:23
  But all you got to do is believe, and he'll do the rest.
• 18:28
  And then you too can say, it means he's got me, and he loves me.
• 18:35
