  Speaker 1: I know a lot of people who have given up

  Speaker 1: on achieving the life of their dreams. But I know

  Speaker 1: they'd still want them if they could get to them.

  Speaker 1: But they just allowed to settle for so many reasons.

  Speaker 1: So who I'm talking to is you today? What's really

  Speaker 1: at the core of stopping you?

  Speaker 2: What is that? Is it your friends or your associates.

  Speaker 1: Is it the fear of what you think somebody else

  Speaker 1: will think of you if you decide to change.

  Speaker 2: Is it what I used to call the call of

  Speaker 1: Is it the fact that you keep thinking that the

  Speaker 1: thing that you're doing that's providing you these momentary moments

  Speaker 1: of pleasure that really ain't really good or healthy for

  Speaker 1: you. You don't want to stop doing that because you've got

  Speaker 1: just a little bit more something else you want to do.

  Speaker 1: I call that the call of the while. You know

  Speaker 1: it's just out there. Them streets is calling you, Them

  Speaker 1: lights is calling you. You know, them girls is calling you.

  Speaker 1: Them guys that's on the wrong side keep calling you.

  Speaker 1: You can't seem to make a decision about the right guy.

  Speaker 1: You keep picking the wrong guy all the time. What

  Speaker 1: is it that's stopping you from having the life that

  Speaker 1: you really want to have? So whatever the reason you're choosing,

  Speaker 1: that's the reason that's stopping you from having the life
• 1:56
  Speaker 1: that you want to have. It's no good because at

  Speaker 1: the end of the day, here's the real deal. See,

  Speaker 1: God is available, and God is available for all of us,

  Speaker 1: and God has a plan for all of us, and

  Speaker 1: God wants the very best for all of us. That's

  Speaker 1: the truth of the matter. So now what we're gonna

  Speaker 1: do to get started having that life? First of all,

  Speaker 1: if it's your friends, I want you to understand something.

  Speaker 1: Your friends can't save you. A lot of your friends

  Speaker 1: offer no real help for you. Most of your friends

  Speaker 1: don't have the answer themselves. I mean, it's just a

  Speaker 1: wide range of reasons and misery, love company so usually
• 2:36
  Speaker 1: when your friends are in a bad position, they kind

  Speaker 1: of like company in that bad position. Your friends ain't
• 2:42
  Speaker 1: going to church, You're going to be their friend. They
• 2:45
  Speaker 1: don't really want you to go to church. You know

  Speaker 1: your friends don't pray, so why would they offer up
• 2:51
  Speaker 1: prayer as a solution to you. You know, your friends

  Speaker 1: don't really really get the fact that if you treat

  Speaker 1: people better, people would treat you better.

  Speaker 2: So what's that?

  Speaker 1: So your friends are a lot of times the reasons,

  Speaker 1: you know, the peer pressure of what and then the

  Speaker 1: thought in your mind of what they gonna think once

  Speaker 1: they find out I don't do what they do anymore.

  Speaker 1: Who cares what they think other than you? I mean, really,

  Speaker 1: you can't let what somebody thinks of you stop you
• 3:24
  Speaker 1: from having the best life you wanted to have. If

  Speaker 1: I went by that theory right there, I wouldn't I
• 3:30
  Speaker 1: wouldn't even be on this mic this morning. I would

  Speaker 1: have never become a stand up I would had I
• 3:35
  Speaker 1: listened to the people around me who clearly told me

  Speaker 1: when I quit my job to pursue this, boy, don't

  Speaker 1: you quit your job? You got a family. Boy, don't

  Speaker 1: you do this? You ain't got no bit that ain't

  Speaker 1: no security in that. Get yourself a job. Go down here,

  Speaker 1: and what's your brothers? Go to work over here? Go

  Speaker 1: to I heard all of that. I didn't let that

  Speaker 1: stop me from pursuing this. Why would you allow that

  Speaker 1: to stop you from pursuing your relationship with God so

  Speaker 1: you can have the best life you could possibly have?

  Speaker 1: You gang bang because they've convinced you that this is
• 4:09
  Speaker 1: the family situation and love that you don't have, and
• 4:13
  Speaker 1: they've convinced you that this is your only way, your
• 4:16
  Speaker 1: only source of getting over. And then you drum up
• 4:20
  Speaker 1: these ignorant reasons man for staying with it, But they
• 4:24
  Speaker 1: sound so good when you listening to everybody else you're
• 4:28
  Speaker 1: surrounded by telling you why we gang banging? Why we
• 4:31
  Speaker 1: holding this block down? Why we slanging this thing here
• 4:35
  Speaker 1: right here? Why we letting it go like this here?

  Speaker 1: You keep listening to them when all in your heart
• 4:41
  Speaker 1: of hearts you know this ain't right, You already know,

  Speaker 1: but you allow that form of the call of the

  Speaker 1: wile that wanting to be accepted by a group of

  Speaker 1: people who trying to get you to accept the way

  Speaker 1: so you can further. They progress to even prove that

  Speaker 1: you're worthy to be around them, You got to commit

  Speaker 1: some type of crime to even prove that you're worthy
• 5:04
  Speaker 1: to be around them. Then when you get busted on
• 5:06
  Speaker 1: the crime, what happens to that where your family are

  Speaker 1: Now they don't come down there to see you because

  Speaker 1: guess what, they can't turn in They idea to desk

  Speaker 1: at a law enforcement center.

  Speaker 2: So now your homies can't come visit you.

  Speaker 1: And then you know your family back out here, they

  Speaker 1: ain't taking care of your family because it's all about them.

  Speaker 1: Then you learn that what is it that's stopping you

  Speaker 1: from having the life that you always wanted to have?

  Speaker 1: Why are you a repeat offender? Why do you keep

  Speaker 1: checking yourself back into that institution?

  Speaker 1: Man, why won't you get it together? Why won't you

  Speaker 1: give God a try? Why won't you disassociate yourself? Why

  Speaker 1: would you continue to be a part of a revolving

  Speaker 1: door system and becoming a farm system for these institutions
• 5:54
  Speaker 1: that ain't got nothing for you?

  Speaker 2: But you keep going back in there.

  Speaker 1: And then every time you go in there and the homies

  Speaker 1: or your gang bangy little little silly little friends try

  Speaker 1: to make you think that's a badge of honor. There

  Speaker 1: ain't no badge of honor. Man, that's one mold. What's

  Speaker 1: one more scratch on that record? That's one mold. That's

  Speaker 1: one more nail in that coffin. That's one step closer

  Speaker 1: to that third strike where you ain't gonna ever get out.

  Speaker 1: It's one step closer to that graveyard. You keep on.

  Speaker 1: Why would you not give God a try? Why would

  Speaker 1: you not go and see what your life could really be?

  Speaker 1: What is it that's stopping you? Because see, I got

  Speaker 1: news for you. There's nothing like waking up free. I

  Speaker 1: don't care who you are. There's nothing like waking up

  Speaker 1: with the joy in your heart. Now, if you ain't

  Speaker 1: gonna be free, get the joy in your heart, the

  Speaker 1: satisfaction of knowing that you're accomplishing something with your life.

  Speaker 1: Help somebody behind them balls, get in the program, Show

  Speaker 1: these young cats when they come in a better way.

  Speaker 1: But don't you dash sit there, man and just ride

  Speaker 1: it out and man, go and get the fullest life

  Speaker 1: that you can have. What you know what it feels

  Speaker 1: like to wake up and be on your way somewhere

  Speaker 1: knowing that you have something to accomplish, that you can

  Speaker 1: change somebody that you can stop somebody from going down

  Speaker 1: the roads you went down. It's a whole lot of

  Speaker 1: ways to make your life better. But why would you

  Speaker 1: not go and have the best life you can have?

  Speaker 1: What is that's stopping you?

  Speaker 2: Really? Really?

  Speaker 1: So you think that Satan really has your best interest

  Speaker 1: at heart, That the little thing your mama kept telling

  Speaker 1: you about praying you wasn't listening was you. But you know,

  Speaker 1: it ain't ever too late to get back to that.

  Speaker 1: It ain't ever too late to turn around, it ain't

  Speaker 1: ever too late to get your life together, it ain't

  Speaker 1: ever too late to seek God, and it ain't ever.

  Speaker 2: Too late to pray.

  Speaker 1: Don't forget to pray, don't be ashamed to pray, and

  Speaker 1: don't be too proud to pray, because prayer changes things.
