- 0:03He stopped loving her today. We're still doing George Jones,
- 0:09everybody. Well, let's get right to the
- 0:13point on this little bit of rain.
- 0:18Rain. Is there a song for rain?
- 0:20I don't know. You know, there is.
- 0:22Sing it with me. All right.
- 0:24But the rain is gone. And drama in the River City Tony
- 0:32Stewart last night, yesterday on Kevin Harvick's happy hour with
- 0:39Harvick. So Tony Stewart was on Kenny
- 0:45conversation over almost almost three years ago, and he was the
- 0:52very first person on Kenny conversation.
- 0:57And Tony got incredible views. Man, My, my eyes are doing good
- 1:02this morning. I don't need these glasses.
- 1:06Tony Stewart is like lightning. He's like lightning and Thunder
- 1:13is a little bit frightening. You better not not knock on
- 1:17wood. Damn.
- 1:18Herman's happy this morning. I feel good.
- 1:22I can do that on wood now. So good.
- 1:26All right, simmer down, Herman. Hey, Wallace, why you always so
- 1:33happy? I tell people I came out of my
- 1:35damn Mama like this. Let's go.
- 1:39All right, so Tony Stewart goes on Kevin Harvick's happy hour
- 1:45and does something that shocks and creates earthquakes
- 1:50throughout the NASCAR world, and we're going to get right to it.
- 1:54But when he was on Kenny conversation, if you look on
- 1:59Kenny conversation right now, he's he's he's top five and his
- 2:02views are awesome because Tony says it the way he says it.
- 2:09I have I have many conversations throughout my life with some of
- 2:12the smartest people in the world.
- 2:14And brother Rusty says, and I know brother Rusty is not going
- 2:19to mind this. Rusty loves Rodger Penske
- 2:23because Rodgers, a successful businessman, and even Rodger
- 2:26philosophize Roger Penske told Rusty and Rusty told me, and I
- 2:31really appreciate that. Thank you, brother, for, you
- 2:35know, all the wisdom I use is a lot of us from Dick Trickle or
- 2:38Rusty Wallace or somebody like that.
- 2:41And Roger says this, before you say something or repeat
- 2:47something, you have to ask yourself, what do I have to
- 2:50gain? Oh, sometimes it's just harmful,
- 2:54a non harmful. Sometimes if you repeat
- 2:57something, it's like, hey, it's going to better, better the
- 2:59world. So what Tony Stewart said
- 3:03yesterday was this in ending. I mean, I'm not going to end,
- 3:09but I'm going to say this and then we're going to talk about
- 3:11it. I'm going to wrap it up in a
- 3:13capsule, OK? He talked a long time.
- 3:16You think I'm long winded? Go see what Tony said.
- 3:19But he said this. You know what, it just seemed
- 3:24like it was time for me to, you know, get out of NASCAR.
- 3:30It's just it was getting harder. He said that man, you just can't
- 3:35get sponsors anymore. He says, you know, in the
- 3:38heyday, you know, 1520 years ago, sponsors.
- 3:42He he basically, I'll say it this way, and I believe this
- 3:46like I interviewed sponsors O Square D you want to sponsor me,
- 3:50Do you? That's the truth.
- 3:52Squirty came to my front door of my house back in the glory days.
- 3:57I call it Studio 54 days. You know, it's like sex, drugs
- 4:01and rock'n'roll. Obviously not, but it was that
- 4:05much fun, you know, to where, you know, you equate, you equate
- 4:10that to just man. Everything's awesome.
- 4:12There's plentiful everything. Well, Tony said those days are
- 4:15gone, right? And now he said, Oh my God, he
- 4:20says you got to have, you know, the crew and the, you know, and,
- 4:24and the driver have got to wear different fire suits all the
- 4:27time. You got to have, you're
- 4:30constantly, you got to have your own wrapping company inside your
- 4:33shop because you got 67810 sponsors for the year.
- 4:39Tony pointed that out. The big one that Tony really
- 4:43pointed out was what a lot of you fans, a lot of you fans have
- 4:48always loved Tony and I, I do too.
- 4:50But you're going to like this one, Tony Stewart said.
- 4:55Basically in a nutshell. Now I'm paraphrasing, so calm
- 4:59down. Don't.
- 5:00I'm paraphrasing, OK? Once again, I know NASCAR's
- 5:04watch and I'm not a dummy, he said.
- 5:08NASCAR's headed the wrong direction and I don't want to be
- 5:11part of it. And now seemed to be a good time
- 5:13to get out. There you go.
- 5:18Some of you might say mic drop, some of you might go boom.
- 5:23I'm going to say it one more time.
- 5:26Herman is going to repeat himself, Tony, Tony Stewart
- 5:29said. So difficult to get sponsors
- 5:32nowadays, all these different fire suits and uniforms and
- 5:38hiring your own rapping company now the days of being able to,
- 5:43you know, just get one sponsor, they're over.
- 5:46It's exhausting. Then he said, you know what
- 5:51seemed to be a good time to get out, but now he said after, now
- 5:57here's the third one. He said, now that I see what's
- 6:01going on with 2311 in front row Motorsports.
- 6:04He goes, I don't like the direction NASCAR is headed.
- 6:09Whoa, drink coffee on that one. Tony Stewart said, I don't like
- 6:17the way NASCAR is headed. So he said now is the time to
- 6:24get out. It made even more sense earlier
- 6:28this summer. He said, you know what?
- 6:30I just, I want to, I want to get out.
- 6:32Just seems like right timing. But then he goes on Harvick's
- 6:35happy hour yesterday. And, you know, him and Kevin are
- 6:38really good friends because he drove for for a heart.
- 6:42He drove for a Harvick when Harvick had his own team.
- 6:45You remember, we forgot about that, didn't you?
- 6:48Kevin and Delana, you know, had their own team, Truck Series,
- 6:51you know, had a lot of stuff going on.
- 6:52And then they decided to have babies.
- 6:55And that was the reason they said, you know what, children
- 6:57are more important. We're getting rid of this team.
- 6:59It's too much. So what a great decision.
- 7:02Now you see Keelan and the other little girl, she's so sweet.
- 7:07So that's where Kevin Harvick and Tony Stewart got to be such
- 7:14good friends. And I think that's why you saw
- 7:17Tony Stewart open up so good to Harvard.
- 7:22You know, I'm not going to pat myself on the back, but but you
- 7:25know, I raced a lot in NASCAR and people say my boss, Eric
- 7:29Shanks at Fox. Eric Shanks, look him up.
- 7:33The boss, he told everybody, he says.
- 7:35He said I want to get Kenny Wallace off the desk and I will
- 7:38put him out on the road in the garage area because the drivers
- 7:43talk to him differently. Well, that's because I raced
- 7:46these guys and they know I know what I'm talking about.
- 7:50So what you saw yesterday out of Tony Stewart was he was talking
- 7:56to his buddy Kevin and felt good about what he was saying.
- 8:03I will say that even if you go back to your Kenny conversation
- 8:07with Tony Stewart, he said some pretty scathing stuff, which was
- 8:10really good. But listen, I want to give an
- 8:13attaboy to Kevin Harvick. I want to say cheers because
- 8:17that is what everybody's saying and I hate to admit it.
- 8:21That's what they are saying in the garage area.
- 8:25I can tell you that those guys are miserable.
- 8:29I said it now. Now I don't care if one of you
- 8:32crew members go, I'm not miserable.
- 8:34Well, more of you are than than not, So, you know, here I go
- 8:40again. I said what I said, and I meant
- 8:42what I said, so I said it. The whole garage area is
- 8:46miserable. And I know these things because
- 8:48they all tell me they go Damn, Herman, I wished I could run
- 8:51that dirt with you. You're having so much fun.
- 8:53We're miserable. It's just, it's just
- 8:57everything's too difficult now. But I got to tell you, I've had
- 9:00some sponsors call me wanting to talk to me about wanting to get
- 9:04my advice about, you know, when they called me, one of the
- 9:08biggest sponsors in NASCAR called me.
- 9:12Herman, tell us what's going on with this lawsuit.
- 9:14And I'm like Saba Dabi, Daba Dabi.
- 9:16And I tell them and I'm like, now that Tony Stewart brings it
- 9:21up with my oh boy, OK, this these sponsors, these sponsors
- 9:27now listen, I'm thinking about what I'm going to say it.
- 9:30I'm going to say right now, what do I have to gain by saying
- 9:33this? Well, I don't, I don't have
- 9:35anything to gain. It's just free speech and it
- 9:38doesn't harm anybody. But a lot of these sponsors
- 9:42don't like what's going on with this 2311 and front row.
- 9:47Now I just, I don't really know why right now.
- 9:52I'll admit I'm not that smart, but big, big sponsors, they
- 9:57don't like this lawsuit going on between Michael Jordan and front
- 10:03row against the NASCAR. They they don't like it.
- 10:07And you might respond right here, OK, because a lot of
- 10:12NASCAR, a lot of NASCAR people have burner accounts, different
- 10:17accounts, and they respond to my because my stuff's really good
- 10:21here. OK, deep breath.
- 10:25Hang on everybody, because it's going to go all over the next
- 10:27whole week. It will be the talk.
- 10:31It happened yesterday. People get busy, but today it's
- 10:34out. So I'm responding to a Tony
- 10:38Stewart said on Kevin Harvick's Happy Hour.
- 10:41And what he said was this. I don't like the way NASCAR is
- 10:45headed. This 2311 front row deal.
- 10:50He didn't. He don't like it.
- 10:52He doesn't like the way NASCAR is headed.
- 10:55He flat said that. And he said this deal of getting
- 10:586-7 sponsors and different fire suits and uniforms and having
- 11:03your own wrapping company. He said he doesn't like the way
- 11:07NASCAR's headed. All right, everybody, I broke it
- 11:11down and I expanded on a little bit.
- 11:14So listen, it is what is it Friday?
- 11:17Happy Friday morning, everybody.
