The Passover and the Lord’s Supper were both established by God as memorials of redemption, with the Passover pointing to Israel’s deliverance from Egypt and the Lord’s Supper proclaiming Christ’s sacrificial death for the salvation of sinners. Jesus transformed the Passover into a remembrance of Himself, the perfect Lamb of God, calling believers to trust in His finished work and to worship with gratitude rather than mere ritual.
