- 0:03Speaker 1: This is a Bramble Jam podcast this week on your
- 0:13Speaker 1: Gabble Gabble.
- 0:14Speaker 2: If your husband starts doing meth and dating somebody else
- 0:17Speaker 2: around your fourteen year old, can you sue him for
- 0:19Speaker 2: all his worth?
- 0:19Speaker 3: There's gonna be a lot of drug talk on Judge Mathis.
- 0:22Speaker 1: And if you accidentally spill a soda on someone in
- 0:25Speaker 1: the drive through, can they see or is it just
- 0:28Speaker 1: sticky business?
- 0:30Speaker 3: Judge Ross tells us real cases. Thank Justin's Yo.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Gabble Gable Ross. Judge, you're awesome that you stumble your
- 0:42Speaker 1: way in the mask still in a soda is not
- 0:44Speaker 1: like kicking somebody's tire. Yeah, I can't wait. I can't
- 0:47Speaker 1: wait to tell you all about this. This is a shortcase.
- 0:49Speaker 1: I did find the verdict interesting it for years. Yes,
- 0:54Speaker 1: are you ready for bring it go first? Charlotte Maxwell
- 0:59Speaker 1: is suing haraad Dixon is six hundred and thirty eight
- 1:03Speaker 1: dollars and yes, forty six close six thirty eight big
- 1:10Speaker 1: numbers and Judgment it's huge to so much. Judge Gino
- 1:14Speaker 1: wishes uh so uh. Charlotte takes wants to take her
- 1:21Speaker 1: her mom, and her three friends from church to go
- 1:24Speaker 1: get some lunch. They you go to church together, ye,
- 1:27Speaker 1: get out of church or tummy start to ground?
- 1:29Speaker 3: Don't know?
- 1:30Speaker 1: Is that the Holy Spirit? Nope, I'm hungry. So it
- 1:35Speaker 1: was just some fun improv from me. So Charlotte, her mom,
- 1:39Speaker 1: three friends, five folks total, hop into the van and
- 1:43Speaker 1: head to lunch. So they go to the drive through.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Now I would say, I think five people. I want
- 1:52Speaker 1: to put this on the record. I think five people
- 1:53Speaker 1: in the cars. Too many people for the drive through.
- 1:55Speaker 3: That's a lot.
- 1:56Speaker 1: I think three tops, yeah, four you got a big car.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Four three adults if it's somebody, if it's.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Separate orders, or you just meaning like.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Well, let me, let me explain it. So I think
- 2:05Speaker 1: in general, five people, even if it's one order, there's
- 2:08Speaker 1: too much. Too much can go wrong.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Too much can go wrong with wrong. Too much can
- 2:13Speaker 3: go wrong. If you're ordering like well done frogs from
- 2:15Speaker 3: Chick fil a? Who does that?
- 2:19Speaker 1: So she says, So Tara, let's talk about Tara. Tara
- 2:24Speaker 1: is the defendant. Tara is running the drive through. This
- 2:27Speaker 1: is not some run of the mill fast food of stat.
- 2:31Speaker 1: This is her family business, family business, her parents own,
- 2:36Speaker 1: parents own it. So she's running the drive through and
- 2:39Speaker 1: it's not like, you know, somebody making minimum wage at
- 2:41Speaker 1: the McDonald's macs is a somebody you care a lot
- 2:45Speaker 1: about it, Okay, So she says that Charlotte came in,
- 2:50Speaker 1: comes through the drive through and says, Hi, I need
- 2:55Speaker 1: to give you five separate orders, five separate I don't like.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Tara is admittedly a bit annoyed. A situation here where
- 3:10Speaker 2: you do not come anytime this happens. If I'm ever
- 3:13Speaker 2: in line, somebody does this. I walk out and I
- 3:16Speaker 2: got six orders and they're holding all these credit cards crowded, So.
- 3:20Speaker 1: She says, She says that the order is chaotic because
- 3:25Speaker 1: she can hear the people in the background being like,
- 3:27Speaker 1: I want the no, I want it large. I want then,
- 3:32Speaker 1: so it's like chaotic, chaotic order to begin with. Charlotte
- 3:36Speaker 1: pulls up to the window and hands her all the
- 3:40Speaker 1: different forms of payments. What she accidentally gave her one
- 3:45Speaker 1: of the credit cards. It was supposed to be the
- 3:47Speaker 1: other one, So she has to I'm getting she has
- 3:49Speaker 1: to cancel out one of the payments, do the whole
- 3:52Speaker 1: thing again.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Dude, whoever who's in the window, who's the one doing this?
- 3:56Speaker 1: Tara is in the way.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Tara Dixon in public.
- 3:59Speaker 1: No, Tara's work in the windows, okay, Charlotte, Charlotte in public,
- 4:03Speaker 1: Charlotte Maxwell and her mom and her three church friends.
- 4:06Speaker 1: You don't like them, so uh, Tara han Charlotte. One
- 4:10Speaker 1: of the sodas, and uh. Charlotte says, this is a
- 4:14Speaker 1: small I asked for a large, And Tara says, because
- 4:18Speaker 1: of COVID, I can't take the soda back. Of course,
- 4:21Speaker 1: it used to be I could take it. I would
- 4:23Speaker 1: give it to anybody who wants it. Now you spit
- 4:25Speaker 1: in it. Uh. I worked. I used to work at Dominoes.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Used to work at Dominoes, and I would touch the
- 4:30Speaker 1: pizza whatever I wanted to. But then because of COVID,
- 4:34Speaker 1: it's not touched by any from oven to the box,
- 4:37Speaker 1: no hands. So she takes the soda back. She goes,
- 4:43Speaker 1: she goes to get a large soda. When she comes back,
- 4:47Speaker 1: apparently there's a little bit of a kerfuffle here. Now
- 4:49Speaker 1: Charlotte says that she wasn't ready for the other soda yet.
- 4:52Speaker 3: She was Lotte.
- 4:54Speaker 1: She's over there giving mustard to to to Janny and
- 4:58Speaker 1: Ketch up to journey, and when she comes back around
- 5:03Speaker 1: somehow there was I don't know if it was a
- 5:05Speaker 1: handoff mistake, but somehow the big soda makes big spill. Yeah,
- 5:12Speaker 1: that was something that I said to as well. That
- 5:13Speaker 1: was so soda goes everywhere all over. And Charlotte says,
- 5:20Speaker 1: I don't know this for sure, but I felt like
- 5:23Speaker 1: Tara did it on purpose. I could feel her frustration.
- 5:26Speaker 3: Did she suing because of a feeling? I no, no, no, no, no,
- 5:30Speaker 3: no no.
- 5:31Speaker 1: She is suing because of what she had to get
- 5:34Speaker 1: done to the car. Now, Charlotte brings an invoice from
- 5:37Speaker 1: the dealership showing that she had some electronics that got
- 5:42Speaker 1: messed up, the radio, et cetera, that had to be replaced.
- 5:45Speaker 1: She also had to get it cleaned. And that invoice
- 5:48Speaker 1: is for a total of six hundred and thirty eight
- 5:50Speaker 1: dollars and forty six cents. Of course, and Judge Ross
- 5:54Speaker 1: is ready to rule if.
- 5:55Speaker 3: He gives her a dime. Justice is a foreign concept.
- 5:59Speaker 1: I don't talk about. Hey, leave your feelings out of this.
- 6:02Speaker 1: I talk through this, okay. This woman has five different orders.
- 6:06Speaker 1: The woman in the drive through is helping her. She
- 6:08Speaker 1: asked for a different drink. The drink spills while it's
- 6:10Speaker 1: in her car on the exchange. She had a feeling it.
- 6:14Speaker 3: Was on purpose. There's no proof it was on purpose
- 6:16Speaker 3: at all.
- 6:18Speaker 1: She says that. She says that it got thrown into
- 6:21Speaker 1: the car.
- 6:23Speaker 3: Did it wasn't I?
- 6:24Speaker 1: But no, no, she said. I Even Judge Ross is like,
- 6:27Speaker 1: you got thrown and she's like, well, it like it's
- 6:30Speaker 1: just kind of like Landa.
- 6:33Speaker 3: No, no money, no money.
- 6:35Speaker 1: He's gonna give her some money, isn't he is gonna
- 6:38Speaker 1: give her all the money? Oh my god. Tara Tarah
- 6:42Speaker 1: is a bit perturbed by this. Yeah, we all are, Tarah,
- 6:46Speaker 1: and Judge Ross says, Tarah, this is a tough spot.
- 6:49Speaker 3: No, it's not.
- 6:49Speaker 1: This is a tough spot. But in this case, I
- 6:55Speaker 1: think that you are. I think it's close to being
- 6:58Speaker 1: fifty to fifty. But I think as the employee, you
- 7:02Speaker 1: have to make sure that someone is ready for the
- 7:05Speaker 1: drink handoff. My god, Kevin, if they're not, If they're
- 7:09Speaker 1: not ready for the drink handoff, you are fifty one
- 7:13Speaker 1: percent at fault. Therefore you owe the money the company
- 7:18Speaker 1: or but your family's restaurant's gonna pay for it. It's
- 7:20Speaker 1: not gonna affect you. You're gonna be okay. I but
- 7:24Speaker 1: I have to give her.
- 7:25Speaker 3: This is unbelievable. God just Kevin Notch went down a
- 7:33Speaker 3: pig wow full pay.
- 7:35Speaker 1: But I will say, of all of the judges, we
- 7:38Speaker 1: do disagree with him a good bit with his verdicts.
- 7:40Speaker 3: The ones we the one I agree disagree with the
- 7:42Speaker 3: most is Judge Gina.
- 7:44Speaker 1: That's true. He is always like what I'm always do
- 7:47Speaker 1: we have a Judge Gina O case today we don't. Okay,
- 7:51Speaker 1: we got Judge Matthews. I love Judge mathis Tammy Matthew.
- 7:55Speaker 3: Tammy Matthew is suing.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Her husband and oh, his girlfriend, Ronda McCool. Her name
- 8:04Speaker 2: is Ronda McCool.
- 8:06Speaker 3: Is she cool? No, she's not cool, Tammy.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Just to get this right, Tammy's suing her her husband,
- 8:12Speaker 1: Paul Matthews, not ex husband, current husband, and her current
- 8:17Speaker 1: husband's girl girlfriend. Got it, Rondo, as you do.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Tammy looks like a librarian. Ronda is in a bright
- 8:25Speaker 2: blue dress with red hair. And then Paul Matthews looks
- 8:29Speaker 2: like Will Forte playing a method.
- 8:33Speaker 3: He has a mullet. He's a shorter dude with like
- 8:37Speaker 3: a weird plaid shirt that's tucked in short sleep.
- 8:39Speaker 1: He's a methadic. Anne has a side piece.
- 8:41Speaker 3: He says, he's not on math.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Can I can I tell you something? You? Uh, what's
- 8:47Speaker 1: her name? Mccooldo? That actually reminds me of something And
- 8:50Speaker 1: I was wondering if you help me out with this.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I I feel like I'm not cool.
- 8:56Speaker 3: Dude, that's okay, And you know why. It's okay? Why
- 9:00Speaker 3: because my God loves you anyway.
- 9:04Speaker 1: But I'm not cool. That's all right.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Why you're still precious in his sight.
- 9:10Speaker 1: But I'm not cool.
- 9:11Speaker 3: That's okay.
- 9:14Speaker 1: I'm not cool. I'm not cool. I don't care. I
- 9:18Speaker 1: don't care. Care. Yeah, how you're supposed to do your hair?
- 9:23Speaker 1: But I thought cool. That's all right, that's okay, that's okay.
- 9:26Speaker 1: My god, my God loves me anyway. They go ahead.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Yeah, thinks it was good this time. We'll spend so
- 9:32Speaker 3: Tammy starts off.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Is that song on the list?
- 9:35Speaker 3: It's on the list to work? What list? Who knows?
- 9:38Speaker 1: Uh?
- 9:39Speaker 3: Tammy?
- 9:40Speaker 1: You know you guys know the list?
- 9:41Speaker 3: List?
- 9:42Speaker 1: You guys all have you guys have lists.
- 9:44Speaker 3: With a list?
- 9:45Speaker 2: Uh, Tammy says, Paul is my husband. We've been together
- 9:47Speaker 2: eighteen years. Ronda and Paul have been together for about
- 9:50Speaker 2: six months Paul has been doing drugs for the last year.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Matthis says, do you think she has something to do
- 9:58Speaker 2: with it? And Tammy says, well, I know she smokes marijuana.
- 10:01Speaker 2: And Mattheis says, well, what kind of drugs.
- 10:03Speaker 3: Does he use? And she says, meth.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Okay, I got it. I just once again to have
- 10:07Speaker 1: to put this on the record. Those aren't the same.
- 10:09Speaker 1: They're not the same thing. Mathis says, big, big difference. Uh.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Tammy says, Ronda is one of the reasons we're in
- 10:17Speaker 2: the process of getting divorced. We have two children of
- 10:20Speaker 2: fourteen year old and seventeen, so she is divorcing him. Okay,
- 10:23Speaker 2: she smoked marijuana with my fourteen year old, Ronda Pipe
- 10:27Speaker 2: says everything, Ronda says. Ronda McCool says, she talks at
- 10:32Speaker 2: lightning speed and she's on there is something that's happening
- 10:36Speaker 2: with you on She goes, her kids love me and
- 10:39Speaker 2: there's no proof of that, which is my favorite thing
- 10:42Speaker 2: in the world.
- 10:43Speaker 1: No proof that they I'm saying, there's no proof that
- 10:45Speaker 1: I smoked.
- 10:45Speaker 2: We were the fourteen year old. But she says her
- 10:49Speaker 2: kids love me and there's no proof of that, which
- 10:56Speaker 2: Tammy says, well, my.
- 10:57Speaker 3: Seventeen year old went and shoplifted with her uh and
- 11:02Speaker 3: throws something out of here.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Though maybe I don't know, maybe your kids are also little.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Matthew says all this in six months. Tammy says yes.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Matthew says, well she done turned him into thieves and
- 11:13Speaker 2: dope hEDS in six months and Tammy says, well, she
- 11:16Speaker 2: doesn't have her own kids. I can tell you that,
- 11:19Speaker 2: and Rond just starts to get mad, and Matth goes,
- 11:21Speaker 2: I don't believe all this. Let me hear from you, Ronda.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Ronda says, I do have my own kid, but he's
- 11:27Speaker 2: in prison right now because of her. What yeah, yeah,
- 11:32Speaker 2: so Tammy, yeah yeah.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Unprompted, says she doesn't have kids.
- 11:37Speaker 3: She's no, she doesn't have her like, doesn't have them
- 11:40Speaker 3: with her. They're not with her. Okay, she's making a
- 11:43Speaker 3: joke like your kid's in jail. Got them? I see.
- 11:45Speaker 1: I thought she was saying like she doesn't have any
- 11:47Speaker 1: geological kids. It turns out not true at all. Okay,
- 11:49Speaker 1: got it?
- 11:51Speaker 2: And Matth's like, wait a minute, how did Tammy get
- 11:53Speaker 2: your kid in jail for three years? And they said, well,
- 11:56Speaker 2: we were staying in hotel rooms next to each other.
- 11:58Speaker 2: So the kids could have their mom dead near conjoining
- 12:01Speaker 2: if you will, so the kids. So this is a
- 12:04Speaker 2: situation where Tammy knows that Paul is cheating. That's right, Yeah,
- 12:08Speaker 2: no kidding, uh.
- 12:09Speaker 3: And she says her son and my son were in
- 12:12Speaker 3: a room together. They're in the room together. Now, if
- 12:16Speaker 3: there's two rooms and the two sons are in one
- 12:19Speaker 3: room together, that means everyone else is in this other room.
- 12:24Speaker 3: And I don't I don't know. I don't know who.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Who's at the hotel, who's at the hotel? We don't
- 12:30Speaker 1: we don't get it. We're all three adults at the hotel.
- 12:32Speaker 3: She just says, we were. We were staying in hotel
- 12:35Speaker 3: rooms next to each other.
- 12:37Speaker 2: So I don't know, I don't know. But the two
- 12:40Speaker 2: sons were in a room. Maybe maybe there are more
- 12:42Speaker 2: than two rooms. They know each other because her husband
- 12:45Speaker 2: is dating her and they're going on vacation together.
- 12:48Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.
- 12:50Speaker 2: So conjoining rooms red roof in situation, I don't. I
- 12:53Speaker 2: can't speak for that. This happens regularly. It's not uncommon
- 12:57Speaker 2: at the red roof in the.
- 12:58Speaker 1: R R as I call it called the RRI or
- 13:01Speaker 1: fantastic not an, but it sounds it does sound very anyway.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Uh So she Tammy called the police on my son's
- 13:12Speaker 1: room that her son was also in and she told
- 13:15Speaker 1: the police that I know there's drugs in there, and
- 13:17Speaker 1: if you go and arrest him and the drugs and
- 13:18Speaker 1: don't arrest my son, I'll tell you where everything is.
- 13:21Speaker 1: This is, according to r Is, a very specific phone
- 13:24Speaker 1: called made the police.
- 13:26Speaker 3: And and math matheisays were their drugs in there?
- 13:29Speaker 2: And Tammy says, I guess there were, but she called
- 13:31Speaker 2: the police and said she give them the drugs as
- 13:33Speaker 2: long as my son's not arrested. Tammy never cops to this,
- 13:35Speaker 2: but that is what Ronda says.
- 13:37Speaker 1: That she says, So Tammy Filo, her kid is in
- 13:41Speaker 1: a room, in a room Ronda mccool's kit, and and
- 13:45Speaker 1: Tammy said, calls the cops and says, I know where
- 13:47Speaker 1: drugs are.
- 13:48Speaker 2: I'll tell you, but don't arrest kid. That is according
- 13:51Speaker 2: to Ronda. So Mathis goes, well, were is there enough
- 13:55Speaker 2: evidence to put him in jail? And Ronda says, apparently
- 13:58Speaker 2: there were drugs there? And he goes, then she didn't
- 14:00Speaker 2: do anything wrong. She was just being a good citizen.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Ronda says, I have proof that that's not what was
- 14:05Speaker 2: going on. I have text messages that she's texting me constantly,
- 14:09Speaker 2: harassing me about my son, and now she's gonna do
- 14:11Speaker 2: something to put him in jail.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Matthews says, wait a minute, O their counter seing.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Paul and Rond are countersuing for two hundred two thousand
- 14:17Speaker 2: dollars for defamation and for the other thing.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Is that Tammy planted drugs.
- 14:24Speaker 2: No, she's claiming that she was harassed and she did
- 14:26Speaker 2: on purpose. I see now, Matthews says, hold on, before
- 14:30Speaker 2: you demonstrate emotional distress for your countersuit, let's get to
- 14:33Speaker 2: the claim.
- 14:33Speaker 3: We never get back to those text messages. I need
- 14:36Speaker 3: you to know that now, we never get back to them. Okay.
- 14:38Speaker 2: So Tammy's like, I have a restraining order. Actually it's
- 14:41Speaker 2: a protective orderer that I filed for my kids against her.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Maths goes, why is she violent? She goes, No, but
- 14:48Speaker 2: she's around, she's being a bad influence. She's committing crimes
- 14:51Speaker 2: with them, and.
- 14:52Speaker 3: They don't have a home. They go from hotel to hotel.
- 14:55Speaker 3: Ronda's like, that's not true. She takes her daughter to
- 14:58Speaker 3: visit my son in jail every day. Tammy does not
- 15:01Speaker 3: deny that. I don't know what that has to do
- 15:03Speaker 3: with anything exactly, but wait.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Matt Sammy's kids are like on the road Tammy with
- 15:09Speaker 1: her husband.
- 15:11Speaker 3: All is that Ronda's son is in jail and Tammy's
- 15:14Speaker 3: daughter goes to visit him every day. Okay, so uh.
- 15:19Speaker 2: At this point Matthews is like, hold on, hold on,
- 15:22Speaker 2: he's in jail for a reason. And then finally Paul
- 15:25Speaker 2: is there. He's like, sir, do you want to speak
- 15:27Speaker 2: and he's like, yeah, see, here's how it works. Like
- 15:30Speaker 2: imagine Will Forte, but not as high a voice. Yeah,
- 15:33Speaker 2: here's how it works. We've been married for eighteen years,
- 15:36Speaker 2: eighteen of them. We ain't slept in the same bed, Tammy.
- 15:40Speaker 2: They go over to Tammy. Timmy goes, that's a lie.
- 15:43Speaker 2: He goes, they've never slept in the same by their
- 15:45Speaker 2: entire marriage.
- 15:46Speaker 3: Fifteen of them.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Fifteen of them, so three they did. Paul goes the
- 15:51Speaker 1: drugs and stuff, she's making that up. That's totally false.
- 15:55Speaker 2: And as forget as forgetting with her, and he points
- 15:58Speaker 2: to ronol obvious, I did so you know she's just
- 16:02Speaker 2: mad about that.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Okay, Hey, Dan hearing hearing old Paul talk and give that.
- 16:08Speaker 3: You think he's he's on the math. Okay, he's on
- 16:11Speaker 3: the math. I would be willing to say unequivocally he's
- 16:14Speaker 3: on the math.
- 16:14Speaker 2: And this is a classic situation where someone who's on
- 16:17Speaker 2: the math is trying to do their best to let
- 16:18Speaker 2: you know they're not.
- 16:19Speaker 1: They're not on the math.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Uh. Mathis goes, what happened to Martle Beach? Yeah, you remember,
- 16:26Speaker 2: we don't talk about it or I speaks for itself.
- 16:29Speaker 2: What happened in your relationship? Matthews says, what happened in
- 16:33Speaker 2: your relationship?
- 16:33Speaker 3: Why did it go south?
- 16:34Speaker 2: He says, well, she's just a mean and hateful person
- 16:36Speaker 2: and she'd fuss all the time, and doesn't matter what
- 16:38Speaker 2: I was doing, she was fussing. And Tamy was like, yeah,
- 16:41Speaker 2: I would fuss. I wanted him to work and have
- 16:43Speaker 2: a job so we can have nurture and stuff. And
- 16:46Speaker 2: Mathis goes, you was work and he goes, I would
- 16:50Speaker 2: work constantly? Okay, And Mathis goes, so were you laid
- 16:54Speaker 2: off frequently? And he goes, well, I would work, but
- 16:57Speaker 2: then she'd call my employer and tell him I was
- 16:59Speaker 2: on drugs and all that credit.
- 17:02Speaker 3: And Maths is like, did.
- 17:03Speaker 2: You call his employer and tell them he was on drugs?
- 17:06Speaker 2: And Tamy says yeah, because they're my friends. He's like,
- 17:09Speaker 2: he's working for your friends. That seems like it's going
- 17:13Speaker 2: to be a mess. And then we find out last
- 17:16Speaker 2: September that he took a chainsaw from his job and
- 17:20Speaker 2: they were going to arrest her because it was in
- 17:23Speaker 2: her possession. Tammy yes, but she agreed to let the
- 17:26Speaker 2: boss take the chainsaw back and if he promised not
- 17:30Speaker 2: to press Paul did from his job was going to
- 17:33Speaker 2: get arrested. He put it in the house and Tammy
- 17:36Speaker 2: was there when they came home. So he the mathsesis,
- 17:42Speaker 2: do y'all think you can reconcile? They both say no,
- 17:46Speaker 2: and Mathis goes if he went to rehab, do you
- 17:49Speaker 2: think that you could reconcile? And Tammy said, well, I mean,
- 17:51Speaker 2: I guess we could try, and then she said he
- 17:54Speaker 2: called me at one thirty am last night needing a
- 17:57Speaker 2: place to stay, And in Mathis, was he high. That's
- 18:01Speaker 2: what happens when you're high. I thought he'd just asked
- 18:04Speaker 2: for twenty dollars, but a place to stay is actually
- 18:07Speaker 2: more than that.
- 18:08Speaker 3: Paul says, I'm not on drugs. He's on drugs.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Tammy says, I have a police report here, and and
- 18:16Speaker 2: Tammy Ronda is like immediately like no, she doesn't. They
- 18:19Speaker 2: handed to her. We see a mug shot of Ronda.
- 18:23Speaker 2: Next to the mug shot of Ronda, we see possession,
- 18:27Speaker 2: criminal possession met crystal meth, criminal possession marijuana. Math is like, okay,
- 18:34Speaker 2: so we got this here. Ronda goes, you're honor of
- 18:36Speaker 2: those charges were dropped. The DA tested me.
- 18:38Speaker 3: I was cleaning.
- 18:38Speaker 2: There are no charges currently against me. That's what she says.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Mathis goes, okay, well it wasn't their imagination. Then we
- 18:48Speaker 2: go to Tammy. Tammy says, he goes, so what's this
- 18:51Speaker 2: money about. In February, they purchased a truck together.
- 18:55Speaker 3: The title was due.
- 18:55Speaker 2: They asked a knee, initially for one thousand dollars and
- 18:58Speaker 2: two more thousand dollars. Later goes, so, after you knew
- 19:01Speaker 2: he was on drugs, and you knew he was with
- 19:03Speaker 2: another woman, you agreed to give him money. And she said, yeah,
- 19:07Speaker 2: well the agreement was is that I Paul and my
- 19:10Speaker 2: name would both be on the title of the truck,
- 19:13Speaker 2: and that's why I agreed to give him the money.
- 19:15Speaker 2: But I made out a promisory note love those that
- 19:20Speaker 2: they would have to pay me back. Paul says that
- 19:23Speaker 2: thousand dollars came from my inheritance, which is twenty thousand
- 19:26Speaker 2: dollars of my inheritance that she took and she won't
- 19:30Speaker 2: give me back, so she actually owes me money.
- 19:33Speaker 1: I don't think that's what this is.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Wait, this is when we learn something new.
- 19:39Speaker 1: This is one of the most confusing.
- 19:40Speaker 3: It is crazy. It is crazy. Mathis says, Okay, that's
- 19:44Speaker 3: why we're here.
- 19:45Speaker 2: You're not allowed to sue your husband or your spouse
- 19:49Speaker 2: in civil court if you were still married.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Unless it is over an inheritance, you can't do it.
- 19:55Speaker 3: The only reason this suit is liable is because it
- 19:59Speaker 3: involves an inheritance, which is crazy.
- 20:02Speaker 1: It's very specific.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Yes, Now, the way that Tammy tells it, he signed
- 20:07Speaker 2: over his entire inheritance to her. I guess he didn't
- 20:10Speaker 2: have his own bank account or he just didn't and
- 20:13Speaker 2: he said, I'll sign it all over to you. If
- 20:15Speaker 2: you give me fifty thousand dollars, you can keep the
- 20:18Speaker 2: rest of that. How much is the The inherance was
- 20:20Speaker 2: from roughly sixty five nine hundred dollars, so he said,
- 20:24Speaker 2: I just need fifty k immediately, don't ask Tammy got
- 20:29Speaker 2: to keep the rest fifteen thy nine hundred. So she says,
- 20:33Speaker 2: he told me I could keep that. I have a
- 20:34Speaker 2: promisory note for this loan who said this?
- 20:37Speaker 1: Who has a promis right?
- 20:38Speaker 3: Not Tammy has a promisory note saying that they have
- 20:40Speaker 3: to pay me back.
- 20:42Speaker 1: And then Matthews says, Rnda, your name's on this too,
- 20:45Speaker 1: and she goes, I didn't sign anything, and he says
- 20:47Speaker 1: it says Tammy Matthews against Paul Matthews one, Ronda McCool two,
- 20:53Speaker 1: which means you're in this together. Judge Mathis is ready
- 20:59Speaker 1: to rule good Lick three thousand dollars two thousand dollars
- 21:03Speaker 1: countersuit for harassment. I honestly don't know if I could
- 21:07Speaker 1: run all this through to tell you exactly what's happening
- 21:10Speaker 1: and why who's being fair? Are they being sued? I
- 21:14Speaker 1: think she will get the money that is promised with
- 21:20Speaker 1: the promisory suit, which is at the three thousand thousand.
- 21:23Speaker 1: I think she'll get to three thousand dollars a promisory note.
- 21:26Speaker 1: There's nothing you can do about that. That's that's legally bonding,
- 21:29Speaker 1: and you signed it, and that's that's that. And I
- 21:32Speaker 1: don't think they're gonna the two thousand dollars to get
- 21:34Speaker 1: out of here.
- 21:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:35Speaker 1: So basically, matthis says, because he gave you the inheritance,
- 21:39Speaker 1: you can't sue him if you're still married to him.
- 21:42Speaker 3: However, there are joint parties on this note.
- 21:47Speaker 2: Defendant one Paul Matthews, Defendant two Ronda McCool you can
- 21:52Speaker 2: sue Ronda McCool for that. Uh, she's Ronda is pitching
- 21:58Speaker 2: a fit. Well would that be for you can see?
- 22:02Speaker 1: Basically, she goes, you can win a judgment against one
- 22:05Speaker 1: plant judge or both you put your name on here.
- 22:09Speaker 2: So then he's like, what is it you have to
- 22:11Speaker 2: say about that, Rhonda? And I need you to speak slowly.
- 22:14Speaker 2: He gets really mad at her. Uh, she starts to
- 22:16Speaker 2: talk about harassment. Matthis loses his ever loving mind on Ronda,
- 22:21Speaker 2: and he judged for the plane.
- 22:22Speaker 3: If he throws out the counter, you do you do
- 22:25Speaker 3: need to see it. You need to see the whole case.
- 22:27Speaker 1: It's quite a case, man, that was the case. That
- 22:30Speaker 1: was wild, lots of details, lots of lots of details.
- 22:33Speaker 1: We did we congratulations. We'll be back in a couple
- 22:35Speaker 1: of weeks, in another one. Until then, all Rise Yo.
